Food was very good but boy was it noisy! I had a terrific hamburger with bacon-cooked just right & fine flavor. Nice wine selection made the meal portion just fine. However, between the high ceilings, too loud music and the very loud party seated in the center of dining area (two sets of parents allowing their youngings to repeatedly drop silverware didn't help) made conversation almost impossible. Food 1, ambience 0.

I'm a bit bummed to say that the service here has gone downhill since my original glowing review. The food is still delicious, but a couple members of the waitstaff have been rude and not helpful. Multiple times my order has been messed up, and they have been unable to find a gift card I got for my birthday. I still go regularly because the veggie burgers, salads and mac n' cheese are so delicious, but I'd love it if a few members of their waitstaff could be a bit more professional!
(4)Stevie J.
Have dined here a handful of times. The environment is clean, bright, inviting and cheery! The staff is always friendly and they keep great service timings. Its great for children. The kids menu has realistic selections for the little ones and they keep table activities for them to stay busy before the food arrives. Our kids recommend the Mac & Cheese. The menu is creative and the food is fresh and always prepared perfectly. The wine list reflects a great selection of local wines with a few imports which is always appreciated by the locals.

Simple, clean, modern. Best Burger in Walla Walla. Waitstaff can be a toss up, but the food makes up for it in my book.
(4)Andrea M.
Gluten free in Walla Walla, way to go Green Spoon! This place is delicious, the customer service is fantastic, definitely my new favorite breakfast place in town!
(5)Paige S.
Used to love eating here because they serve gluten free options. My favorite is the quinoa portobello mushroom burger but sadly last time I was there it was no longer on the menu and I tried the garden burger...disappointing. Hope they bring the quinoa portobello mushroom burger back.
(4)Valerie F.
Yes, yes, yes! Soooooo delicious! Don't close on Tuesdays! I saw people (me included) coming to lunch and looking at the closed sign with a lot of sadness! The grain salad is awsome, the meatloaf is out of this world. The only down is the desserts! Kinda so so. I can't wait to come back Green Spoon :) Clean Ikea style decor is cute.

Been back several times and the food and the service have moved in the positive direction. Last experience, 3 out of the 4 meals were good. The chicken on the salad was burnt....I mean black. So, my advice is for the servers to double-check the kitchen and don't serve items like this. However, everything else was great. Good beer selection, wished they had something on tap...not a big fan of bottle beer.
(4)Paul S.
Loved the music here on a Fri night. Jazz from an ipod player, but very atmospheric. Loved the casualness of the place and the fair prices. I had the chicken pasta dish. The sauce was bland, the spices not, the chicken and sausage pretty decent, not enough walnuts. So while this dish didn't impress me a lot, I'd definitely like to go back and try something else from the menu. The place looks like a gem if you pick the right thing to eat and don't want to spend a mint or be pretentious.
(4)Mikee A.
This is a small cafe almost hidden on main street. A very interesting but limited menu I tried the in house meatloaf and it was very very good. We will go back there for sure. Definitely a good alternative to many of the other eateries in Walla 2

Stopped in Walla Walla on a vacation trip at the end of August, and ate at the Green Spoon based on Yelp recs. A good choice, we could sit outside on the sidewalk and enjoy our tasty burger & meat loaf and wine. Burger was sourced from a ranch the name of which escapes me, the side salad was good mixed greens, and the Seven Hills malbec ($10/glass) was excellent, complex and yummy. I recommend for people who want moderately priced, good quality fare. Came to $46 before tip for burger and meatloaf plates and two higher end glasses of wine.
(4)James S.
We went last night with a party of 12. A wonderful experience in every respect. Spectacular food. Every dish was fantastic. Steak, chicken, salmon, meatloaf and pasta. The dishes came out quickly. At the suggestion of the server we shared the strawberry rhubarb cobbler. Crazy good. You will not be disappointed.
(5)Kat F.
I went here with my family for lunch today, and we were all very impressed by this restaurant. I had the Napoli salad, which had fresh made mozzarella, lovely cannelloni beans, a perfectly seasoned vinaigrette and it looked completely gorgeous. My parents had the classic burger and veggie burger, both of whom said it was one of the best burgers of any kind they'd had. The service was quick and smooth, even given that the place was completely packed with the Sunday brunch crowd. I will definitely be coming back here again, even with the two hour drive from school. It was THAT good.
(5)Amy D.
Absolutely amazing. We had the cowboy soup, lamb burger, chipotle chicken sandwich, and carne asada tacos. Everything was SO good and the Waite staff was very friendly Definitely would come back here if I'm in Walla Walla again.
(5)Darcia D.
Good food. I think it's a little overpriced for what you get, but still good food.
(4)Steve A.
Great wine selection including small local wineries as you would expect. The Trust Rose was quite nice. Great outdoor seating. The menu is extremely tasty for the reasonable prices. Paleo diet friendly. Highlight is that it's very kid friendly. Kid's menu is real food instead of junk, which was a real delight. Our 3 year old ate up the steak, roasted potatoes, and veggies.
(5)Mark M.
I love this place! Followed them over from their old location when they used to be called "Someone's In the Kitchen" and all I can say is wow. I like it because it is low key and extremely clean, not to mention fresh. The vegetarian burger is a must try, and the Wild Salmon dish is very tasty and fairly priced. The only con is sometimes it can get a bit noisy, but it's not a big deal at all.
(5)Reggie J.
We've been to the Green Spoon for weekend brunch, gotten lunch take-out a few times, and for dinner. Except for one instance where my pancakes were undercooked, the food has been excellent. Brunch is pricey but worth it. The chicken apple sausage is wonderful and they make the best scrambled eggs (light and fluffy with tons of flavor) in town. The service has always been excellent and the wait staff are so nice to my young daughter, we feel very welcomed there. This place vies with Brasserie Four for the kid-friendliness award. My two complaints are that they serve brunch on the weekends only, and I wish they were open for breakfast all week; and that sometimes when we want to take people there, the menu doesn't have enough variety for everyone, so we end up going somewhere else. But what they do serve is healthy and delicious, and the experience is always positive and leaves you feeling satisfied and wanting to come back.
(4)Michele K.
We went here for dinner Friday night. Loved the casual atmosphere. The ahi tacos were amazing...was a little nervous about the apple in the slaw, but it was perfect against the spicy sauce. Service was great too. Will definitely come back.
(5)Evan O.
I live in Colorado now and still crave the chipotle chicken sandwich. It's just so damn good!
(5)Lynae C.
We've been here before and took my folks there for brunch last weekend and we all loved our selections. If you're looking for a healthy option to a typical, sugar and fat-heavy meal, this is your place! Vegan and vegetarian dishes are available and they do offer great burgers.
(5)Allison F.
I ate here on a Friday in June of 2014, and today I called to make a reservation and they're no longer open on Fridays....? Makes no sense! It's a pretty good spot, but to close on a very happening evening is rather odd and disappointing. Our previous experience was alright. Service was a bit slow, but I'll be hones,t we had a lot of wine, so it wasn't a huge deal.
(2)Chris S.
Everything was great! Great flavor, service and a fair price. The only reason for not giving 5 stars? First place I ate in town today, and I was famished!
(4)A. D.
I eat here all the time and have not been disappointed yet! I highly recommend the Ave Maria, a beer-mary with a shot of tequila, it is delicious and surprisingly refreshing for how savory it is- can hardly go wrong. I am also a fan of the veggie patty made here, you can substitute it for any burger and its delicious. The bar tender, Roberto is very friendly and knowledgeable, makes excellent drinks and is happy to experiment with something new if you ask him. The service at green spoon needs to be looked at with perspective since it does get really busy. And the servers have their quirks, as we all do, but the do work hard and it shows :) Hope this helps!
(5)Aprameya R.
The food was mediocre. I had the combination of all three tacos and the only reason I got through them was because I was very very hungry. The pasta that my friend ordered was okay and the fish was nothing great either. The service was fine. This is somewhere in the region between two and three stars.
(3)Doug N.
I was in town for the holidays and it was a day where everyone was running around doing different things so we decided to meet up for dinner. and stopped by in the afternoon to make reservations for a party of 14 at 6:00. We picked the green spoon because of the Yelp reviews. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. We ordered a wide variety of food. Lots of burgers but plenty of other things also. So this is how it went. At 6:00 when we arrived there were only a few small groups - 2 to 4 people, there. We were a little slow ordering but it seemed to take a long time for food to arrive. The waitress apologized that not everything was ready yet when she brought out one burger order and the fish tacos order. They tried to wait for the rest of the food but when another serving came out the three of them started eating before their food got cold. Little by little the rest of the food started coming out, except for the Mac and Cheese that a couple of us had ordered. I'd say the time from when the first plate was served until I finally received my mac and cheese was close to half an hour. Most of the group had already finished eating by the time my order came. The only reason I wasn't the last person eating was because three people in our group ordered a rice dish and they sent it back and re-ordered something else because the rice was so undercooked that it was crunchy. Their re-orders came after the rest of us had finished eating. By the time my mac and cheese arrived I was really hungry. It's a good thing too, because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to eat the half of my food that I managed to get down. I expect mac and cheese to at least show signs of being baked. This came in a bowl and looked more like cheese soup with pasta than mac and cheese. I had to eat it with a spoon. And their was very little cheese flavor. Mostly what I tasted was raw flour. It tasted like they didn't cook the roux thoroughly before adding way to little cheese. I have no idea how they managed to get a gritty texture in the sauce. And spooning on some panko crumbs is not the same as baking them on top. Before this I would have never compared "real" mac and cheese to the stovetop "Kraft" version. All I can say is that I would have preferred Kraft boxed mac and cheese to this. And no, this not an exaggeration. It was that bad. Literally, Kraft mac and cheese is better than this. The person who ordered the fish tacos liked their food and the ones who ate hamburgers were happy. But then, all the burgers were over $10.00 and if you wanted potatoes instead of salad it was an extra $2.50. I did sit across from my brother who ordered a burger and is someone who never complains. He ordered it well done, but when I watched him cut it in half it was bright pink inside. I'm normally pretty forgiving and not overly picky. I don't expect things to be perfect. I am a big fan of independent locally owned restaurants. But, I'm sorry. This was downright bad food. Would have had a much better meal at Applebee's. We chose this place based on the Yelp reviews. I want to know where those people really ate. If I ever have to eat here again I'm going to sneak in a Big Mac and only order a dinner salad. I won't feel so bad if I can only eat half the salad.
(1)Suzanne B.
I had the meatless veg sandwich and it was super fresh! It had great flavor and the sprouts were amazing on it!! The salad that went with it was fresh too! Great service and I loved the silverware and cups! So much I bought 4 cups!
(5)Kristen G.
Everything I have had here is so amazing. And I disagree with the previous comment about the seafood and pasta being bland. It has SO MUCH FLAVOR! It's the only food in town I find myself craving.
(5)Paige H.
We are from Boise and mid Saturday afternoon, post airport winery tasting we were starving. Anxious to head downtown to the tasting rooms there, we stumbled across this delight. The front entry is inviting, bright happy colors. The interior has modern colors, but still plays here and there with the old buildings character. Bottom line, the service is great, the good delish and the gluten free bread to die for, better than any I've had in Idaho. Very generous portions, and very fresh salad. They have a full bar as well and beer on tap and a vast wine list. We had a minute to talk to the owner, Greg Smith. Compliments I felt, were due. He was involved on the floor and willing to help the staff any way possible. An owner that can get his hands dirty with the rest is a GOOD owner. We will be back for sure!
(5)Theresa S.
Out of towners looking for the Cowboy game, but got a delicious breakfast instead. Service was friendly, intelligent and quick, and the food was hot and well presented. Yummy vegan and gluten free options with the gluten free toast being the best i've ever eaten. Turns out our waiter (possible owner?) just recently left the genius that is Jam in Portland, OR on Hawthorne. Some of the best breakfast you will eat...unless of course you make it to the Green Spoon in Walla Walla!
(4)Martin M.
Fresh foods, excellent tasts, eclectic American/other menu, great service. Nice spot for lunch on a snowy day
(5)Emily A.
I met a friend here on Monday at noon. I got there at 11:58 and it's a good thing because by 12:05 all the tables we full! The waitress came by about 30 seconds after my friend sat down and asked if we could order. I said we needed a few more minutes... 30 minutes later, after we asked someone if we could order, we got out order taken. The place was busy but it seemed like there were plenty of people to get it all taken care of. It was strange because our waitress walked by us several times taking care of other tables. I ordered the blta and got sprouts instead of the tomato. It was a decent sandwich but the wait to order was a pretty big flaw. On the side of the sandwich was a limp soggy green salad. The dressing was so bland and oily. I wish I could give this cute local business a shiny review. Unfortunately not the case. Not sure if/when I will try it again.

Word of advice: have reservations. We were greeted at the door with a "Do you have reservations?" As it was just 5 p.m. and the place had just opened for the evening, we assumed that we would be seated. Wrong. We're also locals and usually eat next door at Olive, but tonight, we had decided to give Green Spoon another try (we were here about a year ago, but not significantly impressed to come back on our weekly "date night" until now). After being asked if we could eat and leave by 6 p.m., we were seated at one of those tall tables, which is definitely not a favorite, and no place to hang one's coat. Also, this particular table was right by a door that went into storage. How do I know that it went into storage? One of the waitresses and one waiter went in several times. Since the last time we were here, the place has changed its arrangement of tables, and unfortunately, there are still marks on the wall where the paint wasn't retouched. Now for the food. We had the ahi fish tacos and the curry with quinoa, and it came very quickly. Perhaps, it was because they needed us out of here before the 6 p.m. deadline or because there was only one other table of people. The fish tacos would have been acceptable except there was some type of sauce drizzled on the top that tasted too much like 1000 Island dressing (or what I remember 1000 Island dressing tasting like when I ate cafeteria food at college years ago). However, the two little dishes, one salsa and another one of avocado, were tasty--just no spoon to assist with placing the yummy sauces on the tacos. Yes, I could have asked for one, but where is the customer service? And, we wanted to make sure we made the deadline of getting out by 6 p.m! Would I have this dish again? Absolutely, hold the 1000 Island sauce (or whatever it was) and bring me a spoon, please. The other dish, the curry, produced a burst of flavor in the mouth. However, the same burst was there for every bite, and it got old after a while. The quinoa is good for you, just not exactly tasty, and the chicken was little over-cooked. The green onions added flavor to the dish. The mushrooms were plain white ones, and the dish would have been enhanced by using a different variety. We were out well before the required deadline.

First, Katie made one of the best martinis I have had in years...PERFECTION The food was great and the service was warm and read us perfectly on how we wanted to pace our dining experience. Every time we return to Walla Walla. ..This will be one of the places that we look forward to coming back to. CHEERS
(5)Maggi S.
Great service and great tacos. Wonderful place, we will be back every time we come to Walla Walla
(5)Bonnie H.
I love Green Spoon's veggie burger! Always really great food, a relaxed atmosphere, great service, .. and a cool story! wallawalla.org/blog/tag/…
(5)christian C.
Nice, remodeled space, that feels much more big city than Walla Walla. The beer menu was rather limited with only four on tap. Also surprised that the menu was mostly burgers. Had the ahi fish tacos (3 to an order). The corn tortillas were good and quite flavorful, but the fish was very overcooked, even after asking for it to be rare. The sriracha sauce helped liven things up. Service was too rushed. Nothing memorable in a positive way.
(2)Christine B.
Wow!! The southwestern burger!!! Just wowwwww! Nomm nommm nommmm! I will be dreaming of this burger! Just perfect!
(5)Chuy M.
Thursdays buy a burger get one free!!! What a fabulous deal. The southwestern was MMMM Good! It was such a great experience (customer service & food) we went back the next night!
(4)Elizabeth C.
lots of gluten free and veg options. food was good, but a bit overpriced for what it was. 2 appetizers, 2 burgers and a glass of wine was $52 before tax. nice ambiance and a very pleasant server.
(4)Nicole S.
I had to order lunch for my office weekly Friday lunch. I figured we'd give them a try since they're decently priced and deliver. I got half a sandwich and soup of the day. The sandwich rocked. I should have skipped the soup and did a whole sandwich. The soup was quinoa chowder it was delicious but it was also unnecessarily spicy. The chef that day was a little too heavy handed on the pepper and other spices. One of my coworkers ordered a salad and received a MOLDY dressing cup. The other two who ordered got burgers and liked them a lot however one of them got a salad with their burger and wasn't fond of the dressing, it wasn't moldy it just wasn't to her liking. I'd say skip the salads and you'll be fine. Besides why order a salad at a restaurant when you can make it the way you want it at home.....
(3)Jim S.
Tried to go there - again - and even though they were supposed to be open, they weren't. One has to wonder if this restaurant is going out of business. Friday at 5:00 p.m. ought to be prime time. Had a good meal previously but can't return if they don't open. Too bad.
(1)Lynn V.
Interesting, fresh food. Busy enough to feel validated but not so busy the experience is impacted. High ceilings, old refinished floors, modern vibe. Quick service overseen by hands-on manager/owner. Chop salad is signature item, available as full or half order or in sandwich or soup combo. Recommend Rachel sandwich - a top seller of turkey, havarti, creamy slaw and Russian dressing on ciabatta.
(4)Ken H.
Our party of four liked this casual place. Had a very good brunch that tasted fresh - friendly service and relaxing atmosphere.
(5)Alyona Z.
Delicious, fresh vegetables! I especially enjoyed the option to use whole grain bread for the Very Veggie burger :)
(5)Jon Z.
overall this place has been one of my favorites. the food was fresh and lively. the last time I was in, i had a soup and sandwich for lunch. the bacon in the sandwich was almost raw and the cheese in the soup was very stringy. quite the mess to eat. maybe my taste was off that day, but it was all kind of bland. I'll try again as this is normally a 5 star place
(3)Cindy D.
Five stars for food - one star for service. Party of five - we arrived at 7 or so on a Friday night. The food was delicious - great hamburgers and fish tacos. My friend was not brought the burger that she ordered. She let the waiter know - but said she was okay eating it - he said that the kitchen had messed up- he remembered what she had ordered and that it was a mistake. Halfway through our meal waiter comes by and says - "Did you save any room for dessert? " We were all still eating - some of us only halfway through our meal!! When we are done - he brings us our check - without asking us about dessert again. It felt like we were being rushed - it was not closing time - and no one was waiting for a table. And - he charged us for the wrong burger that my friend didi not order - and it was $2 more than the burger she did order! And really - her burger - or at least her glass of wine or a dessert should have been comped. So - a really good meal was ruined by bad service. Managers - please teacher your wait staff how to do their job!
(3)Max D.
Came to Walla Walla for a wedding and ate here for lunch. The restaurant was clean and modern and the waitress was very nice and helpful. I ate the chipotle chicken sandwich that comes with a side salad. It was great and I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.
(4)Joshua Q.
Excellent food. A very limited vegan menu, but plenty for the vegetarians. The service was pleasant and helpful but spent far too much time discussing work and personal lives in front of customers. I had to ask for silverware and a napkin. Worth a visit but the place could use some professionalism.
(4)Ruthanne V.
This is hands down one of the best places I've ever eaten at. I was in town nannying a 2 year old who is pretty particular about dinner always being chicken on veggies. They had the perfect dish for her, and we ate here two days in row, for lunch and dinner. The staff was friendly, outgoing and helpful, and the owner is such a doll. We both enjoyed our meals immensely and I can't wait to come back to Walla Walla to visit Green Spoon again!
(5)Daniel L.
Tasty flank steak sandwich and salad. Rarely found but not ridiculously exotic favors put twist on standard sandwiches. Gobbled it. For a walk up to the counter place, I've never had better. Reasonably priced. Friendly ladies.
(5)Mia S.
This used to be one of my favorite places. Sadly after my family's last dining experience, it will also be our last visit. In the open kitchen I saw the cooks preparing our and other's food, with gloves on, use cell phones, scratch their heads, rub inside an eye, touch various unsanitary surfaces, even take a smoke break and return ... all without changing the gloves. And they raised their prices. Shame on you Green Spoon.
(1)RR S.
Just tried this place for the first time today based on other reviews here on Yelp. The menu didn't disappoint. At the suggestion of the staff I tried the chopped salad, which was absolutely delicious. And according to my daughter the burger she had delicious as well. The staff and manager were dynamite. Thanks, Katie! We'll be back!
(5)Linda B.
Best BLAT (BLT with avocado) ever. So good. I can't wait to come back. The bacon was thick, avocado was perfect, very fresh. The atmosphere is comfortable, fun and hip. The service was quick and attentive. I dropped by for lunch by myself when in town for business. I had a hard time figuring out what to order, now next time I am here I most likely won't even try any other menu item. It was that good.
(5)Bob G.
Very good food.
(4)Heather W.
Pretty good, though not as many vegan options as I would have liked. The food is well-prepared, though expensive. I appreciate the use of local ingredients. Verrry tasty mac & cheese - kids love it!!
(3)Lindsay B.
I've been going to the Green Spoon more often for lunch, and I'm loving this place. The new bar area is fantastic and the owners/staff are friendly and responsive. The cocktail menu is a great addition and they seem to be improving all the time. Yes, they are still busy, but they continue to stay busy because this is just a great place.
(4)Reanna H.
The food is in consistent, I always get the same thing and sometimes it can be amazing or just meh. The service on the other hand can range from awkward to downright unfriendly. It may be slow, but keeping your customers water from running out is more of a priority then chit chating with coworkers.
(2)Jerry K.
Visited here again, and I'm really glad I did! I was lured in by Two-for-One Burger Thursday. Thoroughly enjoyed our burgers and accompanying fresh salads and the kids loved their menu items. Service was quick and attentive despite the fact the restaurant was extremely crowded. Pleased that GS is doing well, and I'll certainly be back!
(4)April T.
Tried dinner this time around. Yay for meatloaf!! It was really good!! I think the rest of my table was jealous. My only (small) complaint is that the tomato topping was a touch too sweet. Hubby got the mac and cheese that was tasty, too, but sort of too much of a good thing. A smaller portion with a side salad would have fit better. Or maybe next time we could each order the same and split it. I always, though it's only three times, enjoy coming here!
(5)Jennifer D.
I wish we had a place like this in Tucson, everything was healthy and tasted fresh! I really enjoyed everything! Dawn our server was a pleasure to meet too! Our group was very satisfied with with everything!
(5)Tom S.
Very clean food. Some modern fusion recipes, some classic American favorites. Top notch ingredients. Bake their own artisan bread in-house. Highly level craftsmanship in prep, cooking, plate presentation. Excellent flavors. Small wine list, local bottles plus a few international labels. Casual dining in an open room with plenty of light and life. Local art on the walls. Unpretentious, Fun! Excellent service. Prompt, polite, knowledgable servers. I overdid it tonight. Ate 4 courses. Spent $35. You could hardly spend more on dinner here.
(4)Meg F.
Came here for lunch while in walla walla on business. Loved the food. The only bummer for me was that they were so we had to sit at the bar (good for you guys tho).
(4)C K.
We tried the Green Spoon after passing by the restaurant while strolling through town. We were pleasantly surprised with the meals we had. The flat iron steak was tender and cooked to perfection. Cant' beat the $1 corkage fee for bringing a bottle of Walla Walla wine!!! I had to try the chicken & waffles which was very good. My hubby loved the quinoa & green salad. We tried the soup special, chicken & dumplings which was tasty but I think I'd like to try the miso soup next time. The restaurant was a little noisy with the high ceilings but the service was great & we would consider returning again.
(4)Big J.
Service was fast and pleasant. Order was brought to us quickly and everything was presented well. The food was great. And prices were reasonable. We sat outside as the indoor dining was a tad noisy. The limited seating on the sidewalk was pleasant. Great for people watching and listening to the live outdoor music that a band was playing up the street. Vegi enchilada was very good and tasty. Salmon chowder was very very good. Next time I am in Walla Walla I will be dining here.
(4)Zachary H.
Drove over an hour one way based on the website's current BREAKFAST menu!!! "Oh sorry, we no longer serve breakfast but haven't updated the website". Not going to hack it Greeny. Pissed.
(1)Eric H.
This place was fantastic! Try the salmon tacos- fresh and delicious. One thing that stood out in this restaurant was the proximity of the kitchen. It was very pleasant to sit and hear the kitchen at work. I felt closer to my food and more at home. Congrats Walla Walla for hosting such a solid restaurant.
(5)Ann M.
I love the chop salad. Sooooo yummy. However, this last time they were a little skimpy on the salami. Of course, I ate it anyway. I rated this resturant 4 stars due to the salad, This time. Otherwise the rest of the food is amazing here.
(4)Sharon Q.
Worst pasta primavera ever. Mostly carrots. No real flavor going on. Chopped salad plentiful on lettuce, dressing ok, sparse on salami. Burger- good. Not mind blowing or anything. SERVICE stinks. Lack luster. Wandering. One of the waitresses looked like she was in pain. Not a smile from anyone. Won't be back.
(2)Brian G.
Had brunch here on a Sunday morning before exploring downtown Walla Walla and catching a concert at WWU. The verdict? Delicious! And everyone there obviously knew it. The place was very full, but we lucked out and entered just as a two-top table opened up. Perfect. Beautiful wine list to go with the great food. I had the Green Spoon burger -- it is astounding what having a hand pressed burger will do to the taste. I think we've all been done a great disservice by constantly being provided with perfectly shaped flavorless frozen patties. This is definitely on my list for many returns when I visit WW.

Great food and great decor. Service was fairly quick and we noticed that the menu is so well thought out that no matter what your tastes, you will find something both tempting and tasty. Good ingredients and well cooked. Top notch for the medium price range. Over two nights, we had the artichoke and olive & hummus dips with toasted bread. Both were delish. My son loved his steak while the vegan burger was perfect. The lamb burger was a bit dry but tasty and I suggest getting the avocado option to make it right. The side salads are a must (forget the chips) Service is fast and friendly and the kitchen runs like clockwork. Kids eat free on Wednesday nights and we saw a few smart families getting that value while the adults got their treats. Good place.

We have eaten here multiple times and the experience was consistent. If we were grading only on the food it would probably be closer to 4 stars but unfortunately the service degrades the overall experience significantly. You get the perception that customers are an annoyance to the staff and that attitude is perpetuated by the management/owners and their policies. We have consistently had issues with communication from the wait staff, communication and my biggest gripe their group check policy. They are very aggressive about their policy on splitting checks. The most recent trip to the restaurant we had a group of 6, three different couples. The moment we walked into the restaurant, before even welcoming us, the host warned us they only split checks for a fee. This was reiterated to us by the waitress and reinforced in the menu. My question is, what kind of experience are they trying to create? I understand it is a bit of an inconvenience to split a check but restaurants are businesses that live and die based on the experience of their customers - 5 extra minutes of extra work by the waiter doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. They seem to have a good focus on quality food and ingredients and on atmosphere (which is great!). Why not put an equal focus on giving customers a 1st rate experience in service. Needless to say this was not a great way to start off the experience and it really sets the tone.

Ate brunch there on a busy Sunday. Reservations helped, but everyone standing appeared to be seated quickly. The food was fresh, well prepared and fun (big portions). Great selection. Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The service was attentive and friendly. When full, the place is loud.

Had the Veggie Burger, and it was great. The salad it was served with was wonderful and large. Really loved the lentil soup. It was house made and fantastic. I like the decor. It's simple, and while some don't like that...I feel it's best for a restaurant to focus on the food, and less on the decor. The Polenta Toast is yummy. I would like to see a few more Vegan options. But, there is always the ability to make things vegan by holding the cheese, mayo, butter etc. The Veg Burger is great, but its ALWAYS offered as the vegan/vegetarian dish. Would love to see something more creative so I don't always have to order this when I go. They've just opened, don't currently have their liq. lic. But hey, bring your own bottle for no corkage fee if it's important to you. Green Spoon is a sister restaurant to Someone's In The Kitchen. Chef Gene is great. My kids were able to take a fantastic cooking class over Spring Break with him. I think it's a fantastic thing to do for the community to take advantage of.

THis used to be our go to spot for lunch but seems to have gone down hill, food, service no one seems to care, owners most not be local

Exceptional food at a fantastic price! Best food in Walla Walla--breakfast, lunch or dinner. All the food is well-prepared, original and tasty! There are plenty of healthy options, along with your traditional favorites--done up with a bit more flavor and flare. I particularly enjoy every bite of the Ranchero Omelet, Chop Salad and Lamb Burger. I also love that they have Chalula to spice up your food, rather than the traditional Tabasco. They offer an amazing $1.00 corkage fee on local wines and kids eat free on Wednesday. This place really has a sense of community. The environment is light and lively, the staff is extremely friendly and I really enjoy all the modern art decor. I take all my friends here who are visiting since it is right downtown and the right price. Take it from me--you can't go wrong!

Just had lunch there with the girls and the food was great. I always love their rice bowls - great flavor, healthy and fresh. The decor is really modern and classy, it's a comfortable environment with pretty good service. The corkage fee for local wines is only $1.

thorougly dissappointed in this food. I had the salmon salad with asparagus and i could have made better at home for a third of the price. The salad portion was small, the fish actually good the asparagus was just raw, chopped up, and tossed in it. Just really wasnt great. My boyfriend had the mac and cheese with salmon. It was a soupy consistancy and flavor was very mediocre.I left feeling hungry and broke. 2nd time here and there isnt going to be a third. I hate to be a complainer, i was disappointed as well.

Good service with an unique sandwich menu and good food quality. I would return next time I'm in town.

The chipotle chicken sandwich is perhaps the best chicken sandwich I have ever had - make sure to get it on the chibata bread. Atmosphere is so-so but the food is terrific. Great prices and great food - what's better?

Found this place via Yelp on drive from PDX to MT. Decided to give it a shot. So very impressed and pleased!! Thought we'd be eating typical non-descript restaurant food tonight but are sooo pleased we found this joint!! Salmon tacos were delicious. Wife's lamb burger made me jealous! Both were tasty, lite, fresh and great. We both felt well fed but not stuffed Its Obvious the owners/chefs/staff know what's up. Great decor too and I love the thoughtful design of the menus, cards, logo, and overall identity. Again it shows the owners have a handle on creating experience not just a meal.
