My wife and I were visiting Portland, Or and we had a hard time finding a good place for Teriyaki here! So we decided to be adventurous and drive across the river to find a place to eat. We decided to stop by Youskyme after seeing reviews from where else? YELP!! On the way into the restaurant a guy was leaving and I asked how the food was. He claimed to have worked there for 5 years and eats there a lot. He had the yakisoba with beef, and was kind enough to actually show me his meal!.. Oh that recommendation we gave it a try! Anyways, my wife ordered to Fish Tempura and I ordered the Beef Teriyaki.. Her dish came with a boat load of tempura veggies and rice and stir fried veggies.. She said it was one of the best tempura's she had ever eaten... I really liked the beef teriyaki a lot.. The rice was very good, and the stir fried veggies were as well.. It was close to closing time and even though they appeared to be cleaning up, they still served us.. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and explained the dishes.. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place to anyone..

Huge portions, great price, awesome food.

Love it! We used to grab fast lunches to go at youskyme when working at SWMC. A bowl of the wonton soup is perfect on a rainy, cold Vancouver day. Like their new location alot too! Much more spacious than the old spot.

Been going there for years, got my boyfriend and all my friends hooked on it. I could live off their steamed veggies forever. Excellent fast service, killer prices a lot of bang for your buck. I like to try out all the new teriyaki joints as they come (and many go) and nothing has held a candle to this place.

Things I can do: - Walk and chew gum at the same time - Dole out useless trivia - Recite "Drop Dead Gorgeous" pretty much word for word Things I've done a couple of times with varying results: - Hail a cab in the east coast rain - Install and finish drywall - HTML Things that are beyond me: - balancing a checkbook (thanks online banking) - driving a manual transmission - successfully making a teriyaki dish Seriously. How is it done? Call it ignorance, call it stubbornness, call it sad realization... I've given up hope with this marinade on account of the fact that I know I can just go to Youskyme and get something that will taste loads better. Everything about this place is great. From the chatty and friendly guys that work here to the owners and their kids who cheerfully run around from time to time. The amazing menu that has just about anything I could ever want. When I crave teriyaki, this is the place I can't get my mind off of. My standby is the teriyaki chicken bowl. it has just the right amount of everything: rice, fresh veggies, and chicken marinated in a to die for sauce. I simply adore it... it's perfect for lunch, dinner, and probably breakfast if I could figure a socially acceptable way to get it at that time. Oh yeah, one more thing I can do: eat with chopsticks. But not to worry, if this talent should slip into the 'iffy' section they have silverware too.

I am SOOO depressed. I've been to Youskyme a number of times. It *was* one of our go-to places. I can't believe I didn't get around to reviewing it before now - it was a 4.5 in my book before last night. For a number of reasons, I haven't been in for a few months, and wow - I'm disappointed... My latest two star review seems so...awful. It really wasn't awful, but has fallen far in my book. I've probably gone from 4.5 to 2.5 -- now somewhere between Meehhh and OK, down from "Yay-plus". 8PM on a Tuesday night. Not the greatest hour for a semi-fast restaurant dinner, but WTF? It was totally empty. Well, except for the crew, who were starting to clean the dining room an hour before closing. Stacking the garbage cans on the counter while the restaurant is open to mop the floor? Tacky! Mopping the entire dining room floor while customers are eating? More Tacky! The place always looks kinda dark and is never well heated, but with nobody in the dining room, it felt...cold and oppressive. Next - well, they got rid of the insipid John Tesh music that was always playing...and have replaced it with Air1 Christian radio. Everyone has their own tastes, I realize, but I really, really don't like Christian radio. I very nearly changed our order to "to go" because of that, and the choice of music *will* play a role in my decision to return (or not). And finally - we both ordered spicy chicken udon. My wife and I love it (usually) and order it almost every time. While OK, there really wasn't much bite to it. Either we ordered spicy and got regular, or they have downgraded the "spicy" to "ordinary". I'm bummed. A favorite of ours is now on the "mehh" list. I may go back, but it's nowhere near the top of the list anymore...
(2)Jeremy R.
Love to come here on my lunch breaks. I usually get the Spicy Chicken and its delicous. The staff is always friendly.
(5)Melissa E.
We go here a lot. The food is consistenly good. It's never awesome, blow-me-outta-the-water amazing or anything, but it's good. Attentive customer service and the eating area is always clean. Definitely recommend this place.
(3)Ryan R.
Hey, I love this place! I would definitely say this is a Teriyaki place, but one of the best that I have been to. They owners are Korean, and very nice people (although the cooks in the back are Mexican). My brother is friends with the owners as he went here at least twice a week for at least a year if not more. Their basic Teriyaki dishes are more tasty than most other places. The Yakisoba is really good also. Actually all of their dishes are really good, and perfect for most people not really used to the range of authentic food you can get if you just keep your eyes open. Oh yeah, they have good veggies as well! I had no idea they serve some actual Korean dishes, such as the Kalbi. Bulgogi is the tastiest beef that I have ever had. Is it on the menu??? I will have to go back to check it out. Real Korean food might just be my favorite.
(4)Jean M.
Good teriyaki and noodles but thats about it. Their tempura is greasy and was made with a batter instead of panko. Not thrilled about that. Their beef ribs have a lot of gristle, but I do enjoy the teriyaki beef and vegetables. My 7 year old however loves the place. Good place to take the family, but would rather go to a chinese restaurant and spend the extra money.
(3)Teresa T.
Always great food and friendly service. I've been eating here for years. I love the new space they've moved into.
(5)Dave S.
Youskyme Chicken Teriyaki Bowl and egg rolls a definite death row meal for me!
(5)Matthew M.
Thumbs up, good, healthy, affordable, quick
(4)Eren R.
Best Teriyaki in town. I usually get Hot Chicken & Gyoza. Friendly staff, and perfect for lunch and dinner.
(5)Jeff M.
Great lunch or quick dinner place. I had medium expectations and they far exceeded them.
(5)Stephen T.
The food was fresh and very flavorful. The place was well maintained, clean, and had a pleasant atmosphere. Prices were reasonable and the service was prompt. We will return. Only complaint is that they are closed on Sunday which is when we usually want to go out to eat.
(4)Mike J.
This place is AMAZING! I'm mad that I just found this place on the day that I bought a house in Battleground lol. Better than Hula Boy. Do yourself a favor and check out this gem in Vancouver. Keep up the good work! I will be back.
(5)Beth S.
Seriously delicious chicken teriyaki. Every time I go I swear that next time I will try something else but the chicken is just too good to pass up! Portion for price is great, especially if you like rice. The only thing I wish is that it came with a salad instead of steamed cabbage/veggie mix, but I'm sure I could change it if I asked. Who has room for salad anyways with all that chicken! :O There are a couple good teriyaki places in Vancouver, but this one is within walking distance and very yummy!
(4)Mark S.
Came here all the time while in college and it had been years of craving the Yaki udon! Finally stopped on my way through Vancouver and very glad I did!
(5)Toni F.
My husband and I visited while we got our car serviced nearby. We were attracted by the menu and busy dining room. I have to admit, the tempura was delicious. The miso soup? Tasty. The gyoza? No complaints! The portions were generous too. The blaring Christian music? Offensive. Hey, just let me know if you are that kind of establishment so that I can take my food to go. I felt violated after the meal and just wanted to sprint out of there. Kudos for stepping up and representing, but your representation has alienated at least two diners.....dine in at least.
(3)Heather D.
The service is very fast. There are lots and lots of clean tables. You order at the counter. Grab a table and they bring your food to you in literally minutes. The food is good, but nothing spectacular. This is a great place to grab a fast lunch. Teriyaki and gyoza plates with veggies are the specialty and super filling. Nothing fancy, just good, filling portions that are reasonable for the price.
(3)Chad N.
Best hot/spicy chicken in Vancouver. The portion is lacking in comparison to every Teriyaki restaurant in Tacoma WA. I seem to leave a little hungry every time I visit. I have to ask for extra spicy, and that's not even that hot. The christian music is a bit annoying. This place is worth the visit if your craving some Spicy Chicken Teriyaki. You will have to eat your rice and gross vegetables "cabbage blend" to get full.
(3)Chris M.
Best teriyaki in the Couv for what that is worth. The lunch combos are a bargain!
(4)Donna H.
Been many times. Consistently great food, prices, and service. The only negative comments I agree with are that the veggies are bland and somewhat boring. Interesting that most of the few negative revues were because they play Christian radio. Never heard it be loud or distracting. Many places I eat and shop play music I either don't care for or can't stand. I would never think of basing my revue on that.
(4)Bob K.
Awesome. Hot Chicken and Udon. Service for take out is quick and efficient. Good cheap eats.
(5)Nicole W.
The best Teriyaki place in Vancouver! Always clean, very friendly and fast service. Lunch specials are awesome! All is delicious but my favorite is the Gyoza plate!! Even the vegetables that come with are delicious. Great portions as well!
(5)Pam J.
The people here are always wonderful. The food always tastes fresh, and nice portions for your money.
(4)Anthony R.
A great Teriyaki place! Kind of difficult to get to, only because of the freeway that I have to cross over to get there. I did the take out for the office, and they were courteous, prompt, had all the containers in a couple of bags for easy carry out. The restaurant looked clean and well decorated. The extra sauce that you can buy is nice and thick which I love.
(4)Kayleigh T.
I just don't think I'm a teriyaki girl. I've tried many places for teriyaki...and it just doesn't do it for me. However, this place is very cute inside and you sure do get a ton of food for the price. I tried the hot chicken, and it wasn't too hot...but nicely flavored anyways. YMMV. The gyoza were decent, but after the second, I was done. A little bland. Pros: -Huge portions! -Nice to have teriyaki, soy, chopsticks, etc. on the table -Fried foods weren't greasy -Nice flavor sauce on the hot chicken Cons: -"Vegetables" were nothing more than steamed cabbage. Meh. -Not enough spice! -Bland gyoza filling Would I visit again?: Probably not on my own...but I wouldn't be mad if someone else wanted to stop by. Next time I would probably try the yakisoba.
(3)V K.
Great Teriyaki for an average price. We both ordered lunch specials, I got the spicy chicken (it sneaks up on you) my boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki (very good, not to sweet) Service was great and our food was brought to us quickly which is important when your on your lunch break. The portion size was good not to little and not so much you have left overs. We will defiantly be back for more!
(5)Luke S.
Best place for teriyaki in the world. Very fast service. The chicken bowl with steamed vegetables is amazing!!! Me and my sisters meet here for lunch probably once a month. If you like meat. This is the place to eat!
(5)Liam C.
Great teriyaki chicken, you definitely get your money's worth portion wise too.
(4)Dave C.
I drove past this place a few times and finally stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago. Since then I have been back about 4 times. I love this place! Not only is the food very affordable to my budget, but it is excellent! Great service, good food and at a good price. Can't be beat!
(5)Windy S.
By far my favorite Teriyaki place around! We've been coming here for years. Most Teriyaki places I've gone to either put too much sauce on everything or the Teriyaki sauce is too sweet. Youskyme does it ALL right! Their lunch specials are a total bargain, Teriyaki Chicken or Beef w/rice, awesome veggies or the Hot Chicken (my favorite) w/rice, veggies and 4 gyoza all for $5.75! Ridiculous! My favorite dishes: Hot Chicken, Yakisoba, Chicken & Beef Teriyaki Combo. If you're trying to stay low on the carbs you can sub in extra veggies instead of rice. And believe me, the veggies are so good! The guys that work there are always super friendly! The only cons: Pretty small space but like myself, it seems like a lot of people do to-go orders. And they are closed on Sundays.
(5)Amanda C.
When I was in elementary school, I considered it a small victory if my mom made the sandwich for my lunch. Back then, I only liked peanut butter sandwiches so I was very capable of making one myself, but somehow mom always knew the perfect peanut butter to bread ratio which made the sandwich taste so much more amazing than my mediocre attempt. Fast forward to the "adult world" and now you will find me with that same feeling when I go to Youskyme to order my beloved rice bowl. Sure I could very well make my own rice and veggies and then add a little teriyaki sauce, but I know whatever I make isn't going to taste nearly as yummy as Youskyme's version...so why bother?!? This is hands down my favorite place in the Couve to get my Teriyaki fix (especially since the tofu bowl was added to the already awesome menu). Whether on the go or wanting to sit down for a bit, I know I am going to get to chat with the super awesome folk running the show *and* get some pretty tasty food that I didn't mess up! Perhaps I am forgetting some key ingredient like TLC or maybe I just a bad cook! Either way, I think I will keep mom and Yoskyme in my speed dial for a while.
(5)Traci B.
I've been going to Youskyme for about 5 years and love it. My fav dish is the teriyaki chicken with gyoza. Delicious teriyaki sauce. I alwasy ask for extra. : ) Portions are large, people are nice. Their new space is nice and an improvement from where they were at before (just a couple of doors down). I dig 'em and will keep going back!
(4)Denise V.
Love Love Love this Place! I've been coming for 2 years now and I am always Satisfied! Great staff, friendly and on top of keeping the place up and running well, they recently moved to the end corner, and I Love how they remodeled the place, food same as usual Delicious! I always get the "Spicy Chicken bowl" (Dinner size) Oh so Yummy!
(5)Dotty S.
I have eaten hear many times - and the food is always fast and delicious. One of my favorite teriyaki places.
(4)Les C.
Great place for lunch and dinner! Teriyaki Chicken is my favorite with all vegetables. Nice atmosphere and easy to find location!!!
(4)Aaron F.
Definitely a good choice for Teriyaki here in the 'Couv. Particular strengths: Their treatments of the meat. They are tasty and well seasoned. I like the spicy/hot chicken in particular. Cautions: Well, it get's pricey fast. Also, the vegetables tend to disappoint. It's just genero cabbage (seems like you always get the hard centers vs. the delicate leaves) and just your token carrot coins (no bueno). All in all, though, a worthwhile experience. They've done well too over by the Wal-Mart which tends to be a vortex of failure. Good on them for making it go for so long.
(4)Jeromy D.
This is the best teriyaki chicken place I have ever been. Hands down. Their Gyoza are amazing too!! I live 30 minutes away from here, so whenever I am in the area I always find a way to stop and get some Youskyme. Everyone I know who has come to the restaurant agrees that it is the best Chicken Teriyaki int he area. Also, the service is always friendly and fast.
(5)SuperChanga I.
Got the spicy chicken bowl. They don't skimp on the meat. It tasted great!!
(3)Ashlee C.
Went there last night for take-out dinner. Youskyme Teriyaki looks nice inside (pleasant lighting and atmosphere) and seemed to be very popular. While I was paying for our take-out at least four groups/people came in after me. I was glad we were taking our food to go. The cashier was nice and friendly and went over my receipt before ringing me up. The food was really good. We got the teriyaki chicken w/gyoza, the hot chicken w/vegetable tempura, and two egg rolls. Both the chicken were excellent. Great teriyaki sauce and hot sauce. The gyoza were yummy, too. The tempura was good, but I'm sure it would have been better had we eaten them immediately instead of at home. There was no dipping sauce for the tempura, which I would have liked. The egg rolls were also good. :) You get plenty of white rice with the combination meals and stir-fried vegetables. The stir-fried vegetables is basically cabbage... each one of ours also had one piece of broccoli. So, good, but could be better. Overall, very good with reasonable prices and a nice staff and atmosphere.
(4)Ursula M.
Went once. It was ok, but not very authentic Japanese OR Korean. Nice place, nice service, but I want the real deal.
(3)David P.
Food was fantastic and everyone was very friendly! I will go back next time I'm in town!!
(4)Foodie G.
Good service, good atmosphere, nice prices and awesome food! I especially love their teriyaki short ribs and kimchee. Yum!
(4)Jessi W.
I adore Youskyme! I started off going there about once a week, because I work right next door at Great Clips, and with the other options in the parking lot (Arby's, Subway, Jack in the Box, ewww)I thought why not? I am so glad I did, because the white rice, veggies and right amount of sauce on the teriyaki bowls are so delicious and fresh, and not fried. And when I am craving fried foods, I will get their tempura shrimp or Gyozas, which are deep fried little wontons of goodness. Bonus, if you go before 2 you can get the lunch specials which are significantly cheaper than the dinner meals. As an added bonus, the owner, his wife and all staff are friendly and polite and go out of their way to be helpful.
(5)Crayon S.
This is a sort of a japanese bento place, but the owners are korean, so they have some korean dishes such as Korean Barbeque (Kalbi) and such... The best item on the menu is the korean bbq (Kalbi). It's also called Teriyaki Beef Ribs. This is one of the best places I've been to in the Portland metro area for this dish. Not quite as good as the some of the places in Koreatown in Los Angeles, but I find it to be much better than some of the korean restaurants on Watson in beaverton. The Bulgogi (similar to korean bbq, but thinner slices of beef, and no bones), is pretty good here too, but I like the Kalbi the best. (This place is in a strip mall, directly across from Subway. The map makes it look like it's on the intersection of Mill Plain, but it's not... )
(5)Candice B.
I love this place. Their salad is the best salad I have had in years. It is so refreshing with just the right amount of tang in the dressing (without being sour or tangy) and the perfect amount of crunch from sliced almonds and a type of white cabbage. We go there chiefly for the salad - it's THAT good. Most restaurant salads are dismal at best to me, but a special few out there actually get me excited. This is one of those special few. Seriously addictive salad. Also delicious is the Teriyaki Tofu bowl. The only thing I haven't much cared for is the Yakisoba. I just can't get myself to like really thick, spaghetti-like Yakisoba and Ichi Teriyaki/Youskyme both have those super thick noodles in a thick sauce. They are also quite clean. If it weren't for the Yakisoba (I really long for some good Yakisoba, haven't found any since a place in Portland closed down) I would give them 5 stars.
(4)Jamie C.
I've only had the yakisoba with chicken, but it was so tasty I've had it three times now. So far I've gotten takeout each time but the restaurant seems to be clean and have a nice ambiance so I'll probably eat in next time. Looking forward to trying the Gyoza and tempura too.
(4)Charles K.
OUTSTANDING!! Youskyme is my absolute favorite teriyaki restaurant in the entire Portland-metro area and the fact that it is right here in Vancouver is such a blessing. I haven't always been a huge fan of teriyaki and after several subpar encounters in Vancouver this place revived my lost faith that I had in this cuisine. The quality is phenomenal and the unbeatable prices makes this restaurant a must! The two darling young ladies who took my order remind me of my daughters and they make Youskyme feel like a home away from home! The food came out very quick and my water glass was always full. I don't usually write reviews, but this place was too good not to. A must for anyone in the area. 10/10
(5)Courtney A.
Whenever I have friends and family in town visiting; this is where I take them! Been going here for 11 years. Never a bad experience!
(5)Nancy B.
This place has great food, and the portions are huge! The first time I came in with a friend, I ordered a plate, and thinking that it wasn't going to be enough (or I was hungry - don't remember which), so I ordered a "side" of yakisoba noodles. Oh my gosh, both portions were huge! I'm ended up taking a bunch of it home (which was ok). The food tastes fresh and veggies are not overdone. The only two minor complaints I have about the place are: Yakisoba noodles seem to be overcooked and there's only one way in and out of the place. Could be tricky in an emergency...
(4)Bobbi J.
Takes the teriyaki crave away! Good food all around and even better service. Clean place and quiet.
(4)Jimmy S.
Been going there for 12 years. The tempura is awesome. The vegetables are always done just right. Crispy and not soggy. I love the chicken and beef. It's sooooo good. We just ate lunch there and love the atmosphere. The owners are friendly and run the place like a well oiled machine. There quality is consistently excellent, it's reasonably priced, what else could you ask for? This review is written after at least 40 visits over 12 years. I view myself as one of the most critical reviewers on the planet. This 5 star review was well deserved.
(5)Kyle S.
When you are looking for some good Japanese food in Vancouver this is a good place to start. You won't find sushi here, but some chicken or steak teriyaki, yank udon, or some pretty nice udon soup I'd try this place out. I generally call ahead and take it to go. The people there are always friendly and service is quick. It tends to the place we go to when we're looking for something more authentic than fast food, but don't want to go to a sit down restaurant.
(4)Mich R.
The tempura is ok but the veggie tempura swam in oil. I could taste the stale flavor of the oil they used. The beef teriyaki is overpowering in flavor, like it's hiding something. Would think 10x if I will still come back. Maybe not.
(2)Mike R.
What is there not to like. Excellent food (Gyoza and Tempura dishes compliment the teriyaki dishes well), family run, and reasonable. Why would anyone go to Panda Express, if they are within driving distance of Youskyme?
(5)Cindi T.
Yumm!! The teriyaki chicken is flame grilled and succulent!! And the tempura shrimp is very good. I'll be back!!!
(4)Ali S.
My entire (extended) family LOVES this place! They're clean, courteous, and have great food! Bonus: they have many dishes that don't have gluten and other allergens!
(5)Amanda W.
I had the chicken and Gyoza. Food was delicious and came out quickly. Worker was very nice. Only reason I gave four stars is because we were very confused on the flow of the restaurant. Ordered at the counter the sat to have food delivered but there were no signs or anything saying what to do nor did the worker direct us. There were people sitting at the bench by the door so we assumed they were waiting to be seated and waited a while before we realized they had ordered to go. Without a sign it would have been nice for the worker to invite us up to order when she saw us walk in. Then I wasn't sure if I should pay then or after we ate so I had to ask. Then we didn't know if we should leave our plates or what so we just brought them to the counter. Just a little clarification on the flow of the restaurant. Will return for delicious food!
(4)Nate B.
Love this place! Great food, friendly and attentive staff. What more could you ask for? I've only done take-out here but the restaurant is so nice (and clean) I would definitely stop in for a meal. If you are craving some teriyaki in Vancouver look no further.
(5)Sam C.
Meh. I'm new to the area and maybe spoiled by NYC, SF and PDX food and then again maybe they were off the day I went. Got the hot chicken on udon - essentially a huge plate of spaghetti with chicken. Not any particular Japanese taste to it - just sort of vaguely spicy and sweet. More cons than pros to be honest : Sort of whatever food, but I will try again BLASTING Jesus rock when I was there, sort of awkward volume and genre. Egg rolls?!! Decide what you want to be. Pros...at least enough vague food for another meal. Oh and now I seriously love Jesus with all my rockin heart!!!!
(3)Gabrielle F.
I looooooove the Hot Chicken with Yaki Soba noodles. It's delicious. I wish the prices for side orders of meat weren't do insanely high though.
(4)Susan A.
Lunch combo under $8. Very filling and delicious. Had the chicken teriyaki with gyoza. Ample portion was more than enough to satisfy my appetite. Will be back maybe next week to try one of the other lunch specials. Oh and I should mention the place is very clean, food was served up very quickly on a nice white plate and there was a steady stream of customers. Meaning I'm not the only one who liked the food.
(5)Lisa B.
Was not expecting this to be so good coming from a strip mall. Not let the looks deceive you, it's amazing food. A little pricey for a lunch special.
(5)Mike T.
Nice atmosphere. Gyoza basic, but very good. Had the teriyaki chicken, veggies crisp not over steamed. Would definitely stop here again when in the area.
(4)Mark R.
fast and can call in order and will be ready in 5 min. best teriyaki in all of the couv. Lunch specials are a great value and large enough to share
(5)Danielle B.
Best teriyaki in the couve. I have never had a bad meal here, always fresh and hot. Very good prices and they have the best gyoza everrrrrr. Staff are all super friendly and fast.
(5)Solomon R.
Wow. I was feeling hungry and thought, "I haven't had Teriyaki in a while." So, I drove past my usual Wally World and came across this gem. Mmm, teriyaki. I pulled right in and approached with some apprehension. Some places are hit and miss (Ichi, I'm looking at you), but had a good feeling. The interior is kinda dark, because of the color scheme, but it's overall pretty modern. I like it. The girl taking my order seems happy, and very helpful. I forked over eight dollars for a teriyaki chicken lunch. Seems about right, I think. Within five minutes of sitting down, my food was at my table (table side service, nice!) The food is good; the chicken is a little dry, the mixed veg is okay, but bland, and the rice is rice with extra rice flavor. So, I probably need to sample more, but I recommend that you come down and give this place a shot.
(3)Stanley J.
We love youskyme there are nights were trying to figure out what we want to have and we go through the entire list of restaurants and we look at each other and finally come up with what's going to Youskime. We have been visiting the restaurant for the last five or six years maybe longer's just good wholesome food. My favorite is the Yakey udon chicken which of course I had lots of shirrachi ( because they don't make a spicy version ) to mine, my daughters is the standard chicken rice bowl and my wife gets the chicken rice bowl with brown rice all of these are cooked to order piping hot and delicious. We also like their tempura fried vegetables their egg rolls are very good and the people are excellent their staff is friendly and knowledgeable The restaurant is always clean and sparkling and the owners youme and sky are very nice people too. This restaurant is located in a little strip mall off of 104th and Millplain in the Walmart parking lot they recently within last two or three years moved to the corner of the building which has afforded them more space. Every time we go there is a minimum of three families heating we generally get ours for take out. SYOY stay hungry my friends
(5)Kevin S.
Went here with the family after reading all the good reviews hoping for some good teriyaki chicken close to home. We ordered the hot chicken, two kids meals, and vegetable tempura/teriyaki chicken, for my wife. With tip we spent $35 for the meal and feel we could've had a nicer meal somewhere else for the same price where we didn't have to order from a counter. Even though the food was brought out to us and plates/utensils were not disposable, the place has the feeling of a fast food restaurant. Our food was ready quickly, which the kids were happy about, but the teriyaki chicken tasted like it was made hours before we got there. The chicken was overcooked and the sauces tasted like they came out of a bottle. For the money, there are numerous other places around that will take your order at the table and make the chicken after it is ordered, and it will taste better. If you're in a rush though and not looking for great teriyaki chicken, just good quick teriyaki chicken, this place will do just fine.
(3)Scott T.

This place is a bit out of the way but well worth it. To start off the interior was beautiful with granite tables and paintings on the wall. The staff is very warm and friendly and willing to make suggestions, when the food arrived I was in love. It was the best tasting teriyaki chicken I've ever had in my life. Will definitely be returning!

Some of the best teriyaki in Vancouver!! I've always got exceptional customer service here. I don't like rice, they are always so nice to sub rice for more veggies no extra charge!! Which is the reason I keep on coming back for more!!

My favorite teriyaki place!!! The chicken yaki udon is the best, and a side of tempura vegetables always rocks too. The owner is the nicest man, and his staff are always kind. Our niece who is 8, loves the teriyaki as well! I have never had a bad meal or service here, and we have eaten here lots of times.

I tried all the Teriyaki place in town, Youskyme is by far the best there is. The portion is generous, service is always good and their food is really good. What more can you ask for? My only go to place for my Teriyaki fix.

Diamond in the Rough! What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be. From the moment you walk in its apparent that the owners take great pride in their restaurant. Designed beautifully with high end finishes. Friendly and patient service while answering all my questions. The meat just tasted of superb quality. Overall, very impressed with the flavor of the marinate used on the meat along with the healthy portion of veggies. Having the option for brown rice is also a plus. Truly one of the best Teriyaki restaurants I've ever visited. I now drive out of my way to get some Teriyaki!

This place is great! The food is okayyy... But the SERVICE IS AMAZING!! I didn't get the girl's name, but she was blonde and had a great smile. She welcomed me as soon as I walked into the restaurant and made me feel right at home. I didn't know what I wanted and she suggested a few items, all which were tasty. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants amazing service with a smile : )

Hot, fresh, delicious and enormous. Our go-to Chicken Yakisoba easily feeds two. Toss in an order of gyoza and you've got the ultimate carbo-salty chicken teriyaki bonanza!

Youskyme you're name is super weird. But if you keep dishing out food like I got today, I'm willing to overlook it. I went in and grabbed the chicken teriyaki lunch special to go, which was a ton of food. So much so that part of it is sitting in my fridge right now. You get a huge mound of grilled chicken breast drizzled in their teryaki sauce, several gyoza, a side of steamed vegetables, an orange slice and a huge side of rice in it's own little container; and it only came to $6.76 after tax. The chicken was well done. It wasn't too fatty like many other teriyaki joints, but I've had better for sure. The gyoza were well executed and nicely crispy; they are oficially my second favorite in the area now. Youskyme is solid teriyaki at a great price.

I was here about a month ago with a few friends. I'm wondering if I was at the same restaurant as the people who wrote the gushing reviews about this place. It WAS the same restaurant but the meal I had was barely edible. I always try to order a bit of everything my first visit to a restaurant, so I ordered the bento box special. The tempura was extremely greasy, the chicken was edible, but just barely, the Gyoza was clearly not homemade. I'm really baffled by the great reviews.

We ordered from here for the first time tonight. The food was good. We usual order from Thai Little Home but gave these folks a try. The food was hot and freshly made. It was good. We didn't get our usual orders so can't really compare it to our regular place, but it was satisfying and tasty. We'd go back for more if we were craving Thai and felt like straying from our "norm".

I love teriyaki and I am convinced that this is the best place in Vancouver. In fact, I've yet to encounter any teriyaki place that I enjoy more anywhere in Portland. This place is sooooo consistent it is insane. You would think they're a corporate machine based on this virtue. The teriyaki chicken, beef, and pork are wonderful. The hot chicken is also tasty but it is normally getting me pretty good by the time I get to the end of the plate. The gyoza are also pretty solid, but the real star here is their TEMPURA PRAWNS. Spend the $4.25 on a side of three. It is worth every penny and more. Their tempura batter is sooooo perfect. Always light, always crisp, and just downright perfect. Sky and Yumi, the two owners, are wonderful. You will typically see one of them there, if not both. They seem like very genuine people and very personable. The staff that they have is always polite and typically very friendly. The only real ding I could give this place is their perpetually playing christian rock radio station. I guess they figure that it is about as unoffensive as the radio can get, or they enjoy it, but it gets old quick. The radio hosts play four songs over and over again and then chat somewhat judgmentally. It's not the best, but the restaurant sure is. Just bring a friend so you won't have any reason to pay attention to it. And then this place will have a new customer and keep kicking butt at what they do. Everybody wins.

A co-worker introduced me to "Hot Chicken" at this delightful little gem in Vancouver. They have great lunch specials and I love the Gyoza. Not a big fan of the veggies, but that could just be me. I usually order to-go as there is a door bell upon entering that drives me a bit nuts during the lunch rush. (I'm sure this is there so they don't miss any customers.) Great service and delicious food. I live in NW Portland and have driven up here just to get my fix on the weekends. Generous portions of meat, rice, sauces, etc. Take out travels well and is just as delicious re-heated at home.

I always get either the number 1 chicken teriyaki w/extra chicken and no veggies (this means an extra scoop of white rice) or a combination plate with chicken and pork teriyaki. I love the flavor and the portion size is just right. I dont care too much for the veggies being I am not much of a cabbage lover, and you can sub the white rice for fried rice for just .50. Not too bad. They have some good lunch specials as well. Yum Yum.
