Went here for lunch during a visit with my parents. I had the garlic chicken, dad had a tofu dish, and mom had teriyaki pork. All of the food was steaming hot when it came out and obviously freshly made, which is sometimes questionable at other places. Everything was good. The lady that was behind the counter (I assume to be the manager or owner) has a great sense of humor and is friendly in that kind of way that makes you feel like she already knows you. She also demonstrates concern for the customers' satisfaction with their orders. She overheard my mom trying to put her salad on my plate because she didn't want it and made it a point to come over and let her know that the next time we come in, she can ask for any substitutes (extra rice, steamed vegetables, etc.) that she wants. There is also free hot tea and soup (which varies by day), and if your order totals over $20, you get a free 10-piece order of gyoza. The location itself is a pretty standard teriyaki joint, but the overall quality of food and service is above those of other places around Fort Lewis.

Love love love the food. Big portions and great value for your money. I only gave it 3 stars even though the food is 5 stars because of decor and atmosphere. The loss of 2 stars is due to the "preachy/religious" songs they always play; which have the potential to alienate customers who believe in other religions and god/gods, or people who just don't believe in such myths. Your politics and/or religion should never be thrown at customer's faces/ears - Rule 101.

Decent teriyaki. On the positives you get free soup while waiting for your food. On the negative? They make the spicy chicken differently then how I like it. I like strips of chicken fried up with the hot sauce. Apple makes spicy chicken in some strange broth, with carrots, broccoli, sprouts. It felt like I was eating some chicken stew. So do not go, if you like your spicy chicken made a certain way

Great little place. Happy service and enjoyed the people. Smiles and laughed while i ordered and seems like an all in all great deal for the food. Where else can you get free 10 pc Gyoza for spending $20 or free "help yourself" soup of the day while you wait?? The food was great and if i grew up in an asian household with a mom that loved to cook and a sister that loved to joke...I'm assuming it would feel a lot like this place. The server even remembered my name the whole time serving me because she looked at my debit card...thats one thing no one does anywhere anymore. Gotta try it out this place is worth it.

This place is SO GOOD! The owner is so personable and always remembers us. We always order their chicken katsu, fried rice and their bowls. Their hot and sour soup is a favorite of my hubby's too :) If you order $25 or more, you get a free order of their Gyoza's which are to die for! I've never had anything bad at this place. If you're in the area, definitely try it out! Portions are huge and food is great! We come here at least once every couple of weeks.

Im not sure how this place got sll the 5 star reviews. Im giving it 2 stars because it was ok. I had the mongolian onions, i mean mongolian beef. Kids had sesame chickin and katsu. Plenty of breading for you for you friemd bread lovers..taste was ok but can tell they use the cheapest products.(in their defense most teriyaki places do this) my biggest issue is the sanitation issues from the self serve soup and water pitchers that have no sneeze shield, the dirty floors and walls that literally have grime amd food all over them. You dont even wanna peek in the kitchen as i dont think any health inspector has ever. It is in unincorporated peirce county so they may not get health inspectors out here.. i am greatful the food was very hot so i should be ok tonight.

BEST BEST BEST teriyaki and for a great low price! Yes, the restaurant is not pretty, but damn is the food good and well priced. Past $20 you get free gyoza (pot stickers) and there's always free soup of the day. If you're a PLU student, this place is a must! PLUS the owners are so friendly and nice.

Started coming here for lunch after moving to a new office for work and it is so good! The chicken teriyaki and gyoza combo is my favorite. Friendly staff and plenty of food. Call ahead for your to-go orders since they aren't very speedy. The free soup while you wait will tide you over until your food comes!

Apple Teriyaki makes the most amazing chicken fried rice in the world, plus the people that work there are super nice. I used to go there at least once a week when I was in college.

Nice food. I especially liked the short ribs.

Good food, price is slightly higher than some of the other teriyaki places but the food is much better and there is more of it; two dishes and an order of gyoza feeds our entire family, which is pretty impressive even if the kids are pretty small. About the biggest problem is that they're so good they're almost always busy with a ton of take-out on weekends!

We have been looking for a place that had good teriyaki since we moved here from Seattle, 10 years ago, finally found it . We had the Apple special #2 which comes with chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, chicken Katsu and Mongolian beef and it was wonderful- everything had great flavor and it wasn't greasy at all. The only thing that I thought wasn't amazing was the chicken yakisoba - it wasn't bad, but nothing to rave about. This will definitely make our regular places list.

Great teriyaki! This place has wonderful teriyaki, they also serve some Chinese dishes like general tso's chicken and several other choices. Very friendly and fantastic service. They offer free potstickers (gyoza) if you spend $20.

We have been here twice since my original review, and unfortunately we found hair in our food both times. Thought the first time might be a fluke, we know people who live closer then us that go often and have never had this problem, so we decided to try again, but it was even worse the second time. There was so much hair I don't know how they missed it when they were closing the lid! We will not be going back.

The top of my list for teriyaki quickness. Always good and you can't beat free food either. 20 dollars spent gets you 5 dollar gyoza? Yum

Ordered over the phone so food was ready when I showed up. I would have turned around if reviews weren't so good. Not sure why though, server looked dirty and so did cook, kitchen was dirty from what I could see, and seating area had quite a few boxes stacked up. Beef tasted really smokey, rice was old tasting, salad was limp, overall food was terrible. Had hungry teens at home and they only ate a little and normally eat everything.
