Favorite ice cream spot yet! I'm in love with how many flavors are available, including their 21+! They've got a few vegan options as well. Such a cute place and the staff is fantastic. They definitely take care of their customers.

Snoqualmie Ice Cream is what the Grey's Anatomy docs in Seattle would order. From the Emerald City comes this plethora of magical flavors. The Mulkiteo Mud is a delicious chocolate flavor, but their standouts are flavors you don't find everywhere else- lavender, honey cinnamon, ginger, and almond poppy seed (which is indeed poppy) Lavender has a distinct floral flavor. Ginger&honey cinnamon have pizzazz with them. Almond poppy seed tastes like marzipan. A sweet taste of the Pacific Northwest!

What a cute surprise. The staff was so warm and friendly. They gave us suggestions and what they prefer too. The place is very clean and inviting. Bathrooms are nice and modern. You could sit by the fireplace, at the large dining room table or even outside. They have a viewing room so you could watch them work the magic. They have games too for when you're done you can continue having fun. The property is well landscaped with walking paths and markers identifying plants and flowers. Oh and the ice cream is good too.

Their milkshakes bring this boy to the yard! What a fantastic little ice cream spot! I'm definitely coming back here, even in spite of the long-ish drive from Seattle. First thing you notice when you pull up is that the red barn -themed exterior fits perfectly with the quasi-rural surroundings of Maltby. Cute is an understatement. The interior was recently re-done and it looks fantastic. Very homey. You feel welcomed and comfortable, like you were in your own kitchen. It's important to note that this place doesn't just do ice cream. Ice cream/shakes/sundaes are definitely the focal points of the menu, but they have several options that would enable you to have a satisfying lunch as well such as flatbreads or quinoa bowls. The fact that they incorporate alcohol into so many of their shakes is fantastic. It's unfortunate that I was driving, because otherwise I would have sampled several of them. That sweet whiskey cinnamon shake had my name written all over it. Or the confetti cake boozy shake. They all looked good. We kept it simple and ordered a scoop of the almond poppy seed ice cream in a waffle cone and a mint chocolate chip shake. I loved the scoop. It was like an almond poppy-seed muffin, but with creamy vanilla ice cream instead of bread. It was generously heaped into a cinnamon-flavored waffle cone. I'm going to check the ice cream aisle at the grocery store for a pint of that flavor next time I go. The mint chocolate shake was a little syrupy for my taste, but then again I'm not the biggest mint chocolate chip fan. They do give it to you in a mason jar with a cup on the side for all the extra. There was a bit of a line when we arrived and it took them some time to get through the 3 parties in front of us, but I think that will get better with time (hopefully by summer, 'cause I'mma be here everyday when it gets hot out!). The menu is so diverse and it's relatively new, so it makes sense that there's a bit of a learning curve. They do have a drive thru to save you some time. I would definitely recommend going into the store if it's your first visit, though! I can't wait to come back. Too bad I don't work on the Eastside, or else I could get out here for happy hour. Yeah. An ice cream place with a happy hour. That's the level of coolness we're talking about here.
(5)Sarah B.
Ice cream is very good but the best part is the menu. Their boozy shakes, floats and sundaes are wonderful blends. We loved our espresso chocolate stout shake and mint chip shake. They are also working to increase their farm to continue increasing the amount of ingredients that they use from their own land. What a great find!
(5)Brian M.
AMAZING ICE CREAM! They obviously know how to make the stuff because it was incredibly busy. I had the Honey Lavender which was to die for! One benefit from using the Yelp app to check in was a coupon for a free soft-serve cone.

I purchase Snoqualmie Ice Cream by the pint at Safeway on Queen Anne in Seattle. I will continue to purchase this delicious Ben & Jerry's competitor in taste and qualify. I just HAVE to buy local when given a superior option. My favorites are the Mukilteo Mud and Checkered Chocolate Custard. MMMMM. HIGHLY recommend as a B&J or other pint-sized ice creams competitor at the grocer.
(5)Katelyn R.
This cute ice cream place has a lot of potential. I tried several flavors, all very good. The Tennessee whiskey was my favorite along with the seafarers and amaretto cherry. I would have tried more, but was feeling rushed by the employee. The one scoop portion was very large and even though I wanted to have two flavors, I could only have one without getting two scoops. With having such unique flavors it would have been better to be able to get at least two flavors. All in all good ice cream, but I've had better.

Oh my, this place could be dangerous if it weren't so far away from where I live. This super fun ice cream shop is located right at the front of their factory location in Maltby where all kinds of magic happens. While those magical creations are shipped to various retail locations around they country, they have plans to expand nationwide, you can walk right into their newly renovated cafe to enjoy whatever delicious flavors they are offering at the time. Being newly remodeled the place looked literally spotless (seriously, no spots anywhere except in the almond poppy seed ice cream!) and you can tell every effort was taken to turn this into a destination that people will flock to from far and wide. While the focus is on their various ice cream flavors, you will also find other menu items including some truly amazing flat breads. I tried two different kinds and both were very tasty although my clear favorite was the one with sausage, grilled onions, and mushrooms. With a selection of beers on tap and available wines, I would see this place as a great all ages destination for birthdays, social gatherings, or any other type of event. The space is very open and roomy with big tables, lots of chairs, and they even have some table games tucked away for people to use. Honestly, I would say anyone in the greater Seattle area should take and afternoon to pay this place a visit so you can see for yourself just how awesome it is!

This is the ice cream of the mind, the platonic ideal of ice cream. All other ice cream is kind of ruined for me now, as it can simply never match Snoqualmie. Mukilteo Mudd has some serious Callebaut chocolate in there. All other chocolate ice cream now tastes like Fudgesicles. I am ruined. Lemon Perfection is not sorbet, but lemon curd ice cream. So smooth and lemony -- think lemon bars and whipped cream. French Lavender will fill your brain with BLUE on the first bite -- tingles in the back corners of the mouth and crazy synesthesia! Pumpkin -- this is REAL pumpkin, not that schlocky pumpkin spice crap that ends up absolutely EVERYWHERE starting in October. In the summer, there is soft serve. Ahhhh. I just wish they were open later, especially in the long summer evenings. This is a great place to bring little kids and walk them around the demonstration organic garden out back. Very educational. Say "HI" to the chickens!
(5)Nick A.
This place is a long drive from Seattle, but it's definitely worth it! Snoqualmie Ice Cream uses ingredients from their own farm to make the ice cream, with pleasant results. My two favorite flavors are French Lavender and Tennessee Whiskey. The lavender had a rich flavor without being too overbearing. The whiskey was also very tasty. The interior is nice and staff are friendly. If you thought Molly Moon's ice cream was the best place for ice cream, think again. Try Snoqualmie Ice Cream.
(5)Ari B.
Love their ice cream. A solid mix of stalwart flavors and some creative ones. Bourbon is our fave. Quality and consistency throughout. Taste some different ones, then choose what you like in a cup or come and kick back in front of the fireplace (bonus: enjoy a nice Caffe Vita as well).
(5)Jarenn N.
I've only been here once but it's left such a great impression on me! There are a ton of flavors to choose from ranging from very unique (basil) to common (vanilla bean) and all are really good! I sampled more than a few :p Service here is great, the employees are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable not only about the ice cream, but also the company and it's environmental vision for the way they run their business. This is they type of company I'd like to be a loyal patron of and I can't wait to bring friends here! Try their flat bread or a boozy shake! Really good and unique for an ice cream shop!
(4)Yen D.
I came here for a private event and I got to try every ice cream flavor there was in the shop. My favorite still is the lavender ice cream because of its strong scent and rich vanilla goodness. The honey cinnamon was a close second and would go well with a hot cider drink. Samantha was very helpful in getting samples for my friends and me. I also loved their boozy shakes. And their flatbread was covered in sausage goodness. The sundae I couldn't get enough of was the bourbon pecan sundae. Covered in caramel goodness and a nice sweet crunch of pecans on bourbon ice cream. Soo good!! I would definitely come here again!
(5)Kim G.
I have loved their Ice Cream for a long time but after the listeria outbreak, I will never buy it again. Not so much because of the listeria, but because they failed 2 out of 4 inspections in 2014. They were in a downward spiral of food safety that ended up poisoning customers. I won't trust them again. This was a situation that probably could have been prevented but for whatever reason, the owner chose not to correct the two failing grades he got in the last two quarters of the year. If cleanliness and food safety isn't always a 100% priority, then you've lost my business for good. komonews.com/news/local/…

Best I cream around! Very rich and creamy. I ordered two scoops. The scoops were huge and so rich I could only finish one. But it's super goid. They have their own chickens they use for eggs and berries for the different flavors. They make the icecream right there. They also do kids parties with different themes to choose from so great place to go for a birthday and no cleaning up after. They also have some milkshakes with booze for the big kids.
(5)Jes D.
I absolutely love how this place is a staple of the local community. Amazingly delicious ice cream and a jewel in western Washington. Places like this shouldn't be taken for granted! Try the Tennessee bourbon! Unique and yummy. Along with the basic all natural soft serve. Simple yet tasty. Highly recommend everything this place sells. Boozy shakes! Wine floats! Amazing!

Awesome place

We stopped by Snoqualmie Ice Cream for their 4th Annual Ice Cream-rama after seeing the event advertised on Yelp Events list. We went there right before the event start as they were finishing the set up, so we took our time to browse their 1.5 acre farm, which included the chicken area (where they get all their eggs), grow their tomatoes, strawberries and, honestly, other plants that we probably didn't recognize what they were. For this event, they also got 2 super cute donkeys from a nearby farm for event's attendees to see and/or pet as well. The admission to the event was free (entertainment, instagram pictures and some free browsing for some freebies from Yelp --Marc C. was there! and zipcar). If you wanted some food, you could buy tickets at very affordable prices -- $1 for mini ice cream sandwiches, top pot doughnuts, trail mixes, exotic fresh fruits, café vita coffee, DRY soda and $2 for a Lunchbox Laboratory's Slider of the God. The sliders were so awesome. It wasn't too small and was quite tasty (with thick beef pattie slices, blue cheese, mayo, balsamic onion reduction) and was the winner for today. We also tried all 3 flavors of the ice cream sandwiches there (lavender with lemon cookies, cinnamon snicker doodle, chocolate icecream with peanut butter cookies). My friend and I thought the flavor combination of the snicker doodle and the peanut butter ones both were really good. The lavender and lemon cookies were ok, too..but we just thought the combination/flavor didn't pop as well as the other ones. DRY soda was pretty good and we managed to get some other small freebies here and there, too! Overall, this is a very good family event. The prices were very affordable. We only spent $10 total and enjoyed the event quite a bit. Didn't take as long to see through their event but just trying things out here and there (most of the stores who were there were probably some of Snoqualmie Ice Cream's good partners). If you have kids, I think they would enjoy the event for sure. P.S: if you intend to go next year, go a bit early. We got there around 10:45am (the event started at 11), and by 11:30 there were lots of people lining up for ticket purchases and sliders!! Would also save you some hassle of finding good parking spots nearby, too!

Attended the Snoqualmie Ice Cream event held at their venue. The vendors were all welcoming, friendly and outgoing. I visited inside and the story was different. The ladies working seemed annoyed, stressed and unwelcoming. One lady snapped at a guest asking about the iced coffee telling her to go outside to get her question answered (The coffee booth was from the cafe inside, so there business). When you host a major event at your store, have staff who is going to create a good impression of your venue. Have staff that will want to make people come back, not want to have a bad impression of your business. The venue could have done such a better job promoting their business and failed. They could have had the creamery in operation so people could see and really promoted the garden and other areas of the property. Instead, they gave the impression that the event was an inconvenience and annoyance to be held there. The mens bathroom also had a large hole in the wall where a previous guest slammed the door into the wall, crushing the drywall. Who knows how long that has been there, but again, fix it and showcase your location. The location also has a major bee problem that they need to figure out a solution for. Again, the review is based on the service received INSIDE the creamery, not from the staff working outside. Based on this visit, I will not even purchase Snoqualmie Ice Cream at the store anymore.

We've eaten countless rich pints - big favorite is Mukilteo Mudd (=MM). Finally on 5/31/14 kiddo and I finally visited Snoqualmie Ice Cream (usually when we're out here, it's heading to Maltby Café). Their Scoop Shoppe was hopping - busy with people in line and tables/counters full. There was only two people behind the counter and they were slammed. By the time we were done, it was even more crowded since there were two different entrance/exits. Suggestions during the insane late spring to summer months: Hire more counter- food prep staff. Just looking at the crowds made me feel stressed, I could only imagine how those two frazzled individuals felt having to cover the register, do food prep, scoop ice cream, make shakes, etc. Also, add a service number system. Seems like the DMV, but it would help with the crowd insanity since there was no obvious orderly line. Just reading through the various Yelp posts after our 5/31 visit seems to back this up. Anyways, we ordered a MM milkshake and a MM w/ peanut butter milkshake. I don't know what I was thinking since usually it's only four to six teaspoonfuls of MM will do me in and milkshakes ($8 each) are made with three full scoops. Add to the gluttony was an order of cheese flatbread and sausage/mushroom flatbread ($8 each) which each came with mixed green salad and house vinaigrette. It was a major splurge dining there, but next time I'll save on the gas, stock up on some pints from the freezer section of any local grocery store, and savor the few teaspoonfuls at a time. Rich, quality ice creams and custards where a little goes a long way.

We definitely can't afford to come here all the time, but it's totally worth it. Parking is scarce, as is seating. BUT. They have both food and ice cream treats - and boozy ice cream treats (21+), if that's your style. I had a lavender lemon shortbread sundae and my husband had a milkshake; the tab was $16-18 I think (holy cow, I know), but as an every-once-in-a-while indulgence, it's totally worth it. It was delicious! Service was fine - efficient and smiley.
(4)Bill B.
An ice cream shop with booze! Their ice creams and custards are excellent and a trip to the creamery is the cherry on top. Chocolate ice cream with stout is a perfect combination. The little cafe has a small lounge with big, comfy chairs and is very welcoming. This is now a mandatory stop on the way home from Flower World.
(5)Jeff G.
Very good ice cream, but very expensive for what you get. I had a on-line coupon for a free soft serve cone. She said soft serve machine has not worked since last summer. It was obvious she had encountered this before, and it was one of the reasons I stopped there. Since it was their issue I asked if there would be a price break on the cone I bought...no. So I spent over $6 for a waffle cone.
(2)Aly M.
We stopped in for their grand reopening. We tried two sundaes, along with sampling a bunch of flavors. They really get a lot of flavor into their ice creams. They are super rich and creamy. You can have them pack pints for you, which makes sense if your favorite is one of the flavors only available in the store. Later this month they should be available in even more grocery stores in Washington--yay! The mint chocolate sundae and the Candied Bourbon sundae were both excellent. A nice layering of ice cream and toppings. I wish the place was a bit closer, but I am happy to return again. Only thing to improve: when we were there, there weren't many people so it wasn't a big deal, but they could work on speeding up the serving part. It's possible the workers are still learning what is in each sundae. They did a great job with them, and I was fine with waiting, but it could be a problem with a long line in the summer.
(4)Riaz T.
We LOVE this ice cream...specially, their mukulteo mud..we can't get enough of it
(5)Samantha L.
The ice cream is delicious! I tried the Mukilteo Mud, and the French Lavender. They were both incredibly delicious, but the Lavender was by far my favorite. I can still taste it, it was so remarkable. They have an adorable little shop with an even more adorable little farm out around back. Pretty friendly staff as well. I only wish that they had a location closer to where I live. Oh, and that their prices weren't quite as outrageous. They're honestly outrageous for how much you're receiving.
(4)Christine R.
If you ever wonder where Molly Moon's and other local ice cream joints get their amazing ice cream- look no further than this cute place that makes the ice cream for most local establishments. It's a cute small location where you can see first hand how they make the ice cream. They serve soups, salads, sandwiches and coffee. We came here for my nieces birthday party which was held next door in a converter 1960's tri level home. The ice cream is delicious and literally the best I've ever had.
(5)Novani M.
I was excited to go to this place since I heard about it before and saw their ice creams in the grocery store. Then I asked the girl on the counter to have 3 scoops of ice cream in a waffle bowl...and she said "No, we don't do that here", Alas..that day I reeeaaally want to have a waffle cone..so I asked her if I could just pay extra for the waffle bowl...and she said "No" again! What the heck! Not that I'm a very demanding customer..I just want Freakin' a waffle bowl!! and she looked at me as a Weirdo! So I had to settle with 3 tiny scoop of ice cream sample on the ceramic ice cream bowl...BOO! The ice creams are melted, and really nothing special. I don't think I'll even buy their ice cream from the grocery store nor drive all the way there just to make me feel like an idiot.
(1)Robert S.
"Lemon Perfection" custard; they named it right. Wow!
(5)Zara N.
I loveeee the almond poppy, but I thought it was a tiny bit icy. Overall a fan of frozen custard so this was good.
(4)Laleh J.
Absolutely fabulous! My friends and I found this place accidentally on our way back from Stevens Pass, where we had just finished a day of snowboarding. This is the original Snoqualmie Ice Cream headquarters- I had no idea! The ice cream was delicious (I always get this brand when I'm at QFC and so was insistent that we stop here). Apparently, they'll soon be opening their farm, where they get all their natural ingredients, to the public this summer. It's a cute little cafe- you can get anything from coffee to sundaes and even sandwiches (if I recall correctly.) It was a nice stop on our way back to Seattle, and I recommend anyone whose had Snoqualmie Ice Cream to stop by.
(5)Hanley B.
Incredible ice cream. This place is well worth the short drive east of Seattle to the tiny, tiny town of Maltby. The cafe is super clean, really relaxing and comfortable. The employees (most of them a family), have nailed how to make the perfect ice cream in all kinds of awesome flavors. They'll let you sample away, too. The hardest part was literally trying to figure out what flavors to get. That's what I call a high-quality problem. Afterwards, we walked around their sustainable garden which is where they get many of their ingredients. We even got to see their newly acquired chicks which will eventually provide the eggs required for their ice cream. I got a ton of creative ideas for how to garden in my tiny little space back in California, too. Overall, we probably spent about 90 minutes at this one ice cream place, which says a lot. They were also prepping for a huge BBQ-Ice cream fest the next day, which I wasn't able to attend, but apparently a few thousand people do. Free ice cream and BBQ? Of course! Luckily, LA Area Ralph's get a few of Snoqualmie's flavors in, all of which are pretty basic, but it's better than nothing. If you're in the Northwest, you can find a plethora of flavors in any grocery store with a respectable frozen section (e.g. Vashon Thriftway). Teriyaki and Snoqualmie are my two mass-ingested staples whenever I go home to Seattle for a visit. Man I wish I had some Snoqualmie ice cream for Thanksgiving.
(5)Shannon H.
Yum! I needed a place to kill an hour while waiting for my hubby, so I opted for a scoop and a comfy chair to relax. The server was incredibly friendly and patient with me while I hummed and hawwed for what seemed like forever over which flavor to try. I really like the window view into the creamery so you can see who is making the ice cream behind the scenes! I can see how this place would be very popular with little ones.
(5)Kevin S.
The ice cream is ok. It's nothing special. I had the apple pie ice cream and it was fine. It's worth getting a sugar cone. Molly Moons is superior.
(3)Jennifer L.
This place is AMAZING. The ice cream is delicious. The farm is absolutely beautiful and the little chickens are adorable. I love the environmentally conscious aspect of the cafe and farm. The bf and I both got ice cream that they only serve at the cafe. I really wish I could get the buttermint here in LA! I don't have kids, but this would be a fun place to take them.
(5)Traci O.
There are 3 thinks you must know about this place. 1. Worst customer service you will ever receive. 2. Best ice cream flavors you will find. 3. Unhappy women work here and they will let you know exactly who is in charge and don't think it is the customer. If you want the cutest shop, great ice cream, and to be treated like you are in the way then go here. I go twice a week.
(4)Kim S.
Cute little place with amazing ice cream! I had the 3-scoop sampler -- which sounds daunting but is a completely manageable size, honestly! -- and tried the no sugar added strawberry, Cascade Blackberry, and Pomegranate Cheesecake. All I can say is YUM! It was hard choosing just three flavors there were so many that looked delicious. I don't know what the other reviewers were talking about bad service...I was helped by super nice young woman who was cheerful and all smiles. The interior has lots of comfy seating, and don't miss taking a walk through their garden out back...I got lots of gardening ideas here, and really had fun visiting the chickens (their eggs are used for the custard ice cream flavors). I love all things Snoqualmie...and this ice cream place is great addition to my favorites list. Next stop...QFC to see what flavors I can pick up for home! I'm eager to try the French Lavender after touring the garden and seeing all the fresh lavender grown right there on the grounds. I will definitely be back!
(5)M M.
What a cute, quaint little place. They have phenomenal ice cream, but even better customer service. I am all about supporting small businesses in our community and I hope this place thrives. Last year, I forgot my wallet there and when I realized I lost it, I called them and the owner came out to where I was to drop it off. I cannot tell you how much this act of kindness meant to me. We are all in this world together and the more we help each other, the better this world gets. Today, I found myself at Snoqualmie Ice Cream and treated myself to an ice cream sundae. I rarely eat ice cream - mostly because I don't have a sweet tooth -but this place made me question this whole sweet tooth thing. Thankfully, their products are sold at the local grocery store. I will have to stock up for a rainy day.
(5)s s.
The french lavender is as good as it gets, rich, creamy and super delicious, perfect lavender flavor
(5)Leo L.
Love this place. Great ice cream and very friendly people.
(5)FoodE Y.
2 words: Mukilteo Mud!!!! YUUM! must visit and they have good icecream selection.
(5)Kimberly S.
When in Monroe this is a must stop off of maultby rd. the selection of homemade ice creams are awesome. I split a 2 scoop toasted coconut ice cream with my husband. It is topped with hot fudge nuts, whip cream and a cherry.
(5)Cate B.
Take the kids here and don't miss the garden out back! There are chickens and lots of fun things to see in the garden. This place is definitely worth the drive. I'll be back for the summer happy hour ice creams (ice cream with amaretto or whiskey, yum!). It's also worth visiting because they have some ice cream flavors that don't make it to the stores, like salted caramel.
(5)Emma B.
Wonderful neighborhood spot! Stopped by for a late lunch yesterday and found the place mostly empty. There was a family of four gathered around the fire place (which wasn't on - but must be super cozy when the weather cools down) in comfy big arm chairs. Very clean and contemporary ice cream parlor decor. It felt very welcoming. My mom and I split the tuna sandwich. Delicious! The tuna salad had the right amount of balance of saltiness and creaminess. My brother had the roast beef sandwich. It was good but the tuna sandwich was better. The ice cream (at least the one we had) was very good indeed. Mom just had strawberry in a sugar cone. She loved it so much, I think she inhaled it. :) My brother had a double scoop of coconut rum gelato and mojito sorbet. I'm not a big coconut ice cream fan, so even though he found it yummy, I found it yucky! Haha. But the mojito sorbet was simply out of this world! Me... I also had a double scoop: chocolate gelato and honey lavender ice cream. OMG, I was in ice cream heaven. I just love chocoate gelato - period, but theirs was especially good. The honey lavender was a very interesting flavor, but I absolutely enjoyed it! The coolest thing was that they went so well together (in taste) in that flimsy pastel colored ice cream dish. I wish they were closer to home so I could try the rest of the flavors. The Cascade Blackberry looked good!
(5)Chandler H.
My family and I have been trying to go to Snoqualmie Gourmet for quite a while but have never been able to make it before six. Other than this restrictive closing time for an ice cream shop I have only good things to say about Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream. The blueberry ice cream and cherry chocolate amaretto were to die for. My children loved the blueberry cheesecake and bubblegum ice cream. My wife said her sample of the Jack Daniel's ice cream was surprising good as well. The only flavor that got mixed reviews was the key lime gelato. The shop serves espresso as well but I have not tried it.
(5)Benni M.
I think it was a bit pricey. 5$ for a waffle cone is a rip off. It wasn't that great to be worth 5$. I'd rather just go to a baskin robins. Also their bubblegum ice cream looks like it has too many pieces of gum in it. It's hard to chew gum and eat ice cream without eating the pieces. I don't want to be pooping bubble gum for a week or blowing butt bubbles.
(3)L.A. S.
I have loved their ice cream since it all began. I love the Mukilteo Mudd, it's delicious....but unfortunately for me they don't sell my hometown ice cream all the way in Florida....maybe someday.
(4)Ariane G.
I am eating some right now and it is changing my life for the better.
(5)meg w.
I haven't yet been to the shop, but I buy it by the pint at QFC. SOOOO delish, their Mukelteo mud is to die for! I'm trying chocolate chip mint tonight :)
(5)Zach J.
Decent ice cream. Good place to hang out and eat it. The rest of the food is a worthless attempt to drum up more money don't waist your money on it. Also the staff are typically airheads so talk slowly, and confirm your order.
(3)Jill B.
Yummy!! Nice, creamy, flavorful. Lot's to choose from. My favorite is what used to be the "Jack Daniels", yes it has JD in it, but now they have to call it Tennesee Whiskey...trademarks!! I would buy this for parties and it would always be a hit. But when you go in and there is a case full of different flavors that are unique - pumpkin, lemon curd, ginger, green tea, lavender....blackberry, mukilteo mudd and many more & of course other flavors, too....which one do you choose? At some point in time try them all...you won't be disappointed.....
(5)Alex S.
Like Ruth says, this road is not safe for bicycles. It is not safe for cars, nor is the general area safe for either. Locals drive as if they're all volunteer firefighters on their way to the biggest fire the county has seen. That said, the store and the people rock at Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream. It is a cute and clean little cafe where the friendly people will engage you in sincere conversation when you enter. It's not a 32-flavor joint so be prepared for about 12 flavors of ice cream and 6 gelato tubs. I had some coffee-oreo ice cream that was delicious: good texture, just-right sweet, flavorful coffee-ness and right amount of oreo. They also offer sandwiches and soup they make on premises which sounded really promising.
(4)V M.
This place is great. Lots of interesting flavors. The staff is friendly. Great area for kids and you can tour their garden where they grow the ingredients for the ice cream.
(5)Amal D.
This is a review of store-bought ice cream--the business at this location may be the offices of the company, but I'm reviewing a pint I bought at Whole Foods in Bellevue, WA. Simply put, this is the best store-bought ice cream I've had. I've tried two flavors. While many gourmet chocolate ice creams are very dark (due to the widely accepted fallacy that dark chocolate is somehow a more "sophisticated" way to eat chocolate), Snoqualmie Gourmet is a milky, creamy, and fantastic chocolate ice cream. While dark chocolates can be good too (viz., Herrell's Chocolate Pudding), if you're in the mood for milk chocolate you cannot do better than this. The blackberry was a little less to my taste, as I am not a huge fan of very fruity ice creams. I prefer fruit sorbets, where you can taste the freshness and urgency of the ingredients, whereas ice cream tends to mask some of this flavor. Even still, it was the best blackberry ice cream I've had, even outdoing Kimball Farm's (which is quite an achievement for a prepackaged). It's amazing to find a store-bought ice cream that will outshine 90% of the ice cream shops out there. If I bought this at a premium-priced store, I'd probably give it 4 stars, but given the convenience and value I have no choice but the full five.

This is good homemade ice cream. They have some special flavors, but my favorite is Mukilteo Mud. They make the ice cream on site and you can even get a tour of the "factory". They also serve coffees (of course!). But the place can get VERY loud with kids and there is no shade outside.

This is a cozy little place in Maltby to enjoy handcrafted ice cream and gelatto! The decor is comfortable, but trendy with a "Starbucks" feel. They offer fresh baked goods, sandwiches and salads, espresso & coffee drinks, and best of all - wonderful and unique ice cream flavors! The ice creams are made onsite, and use fresh ingredients - some of them being grown onsite as well. Some of our favorite flavors are Honey Lavender, Lemon Custard, Coconut Rum... They offer kids' birthday parties (I had my son's 6th party there) and the kids get to make their own pizzas, 1/2 gallon of ice cream, and take a tour of the factory! Overall it's a bit expensive, but worth it for a once-in-awhile special treat!

Hello? It's in my profile! Enough said.

If you can, stop in the store in Maltby and sit down and enjoy this yummy brand of ice cream. We only wish Maltby Road was safe for bicycles because this would be an excellant bike trip for a family in the neighborhood. Big Red building on the corner, can't miss it.

Food only review...I love the ice cream. I was dropping off food at the Maltby food bank and I was starving. Since it is right next door i decided to try it. Baaad choice. like I said I was starving and I had to make a choice between a couple of pitiful sounding Sammie's. I chose a chicken club w/chipotle dressing. The absolute worst bread ever. Dry and the color was a dreadful yellowish hue that was not appealing just scared thinking about it. The pathetic bacon was razor thin, cold and tasteless. Chicken. What chicken. Tomato was also cut with a razor like out of Goddfella's scene. NOT kidding. Chipotle sauce was drenched and absorbed by the dry bread so none of it got to the inside of the sandwich. The lettuce was the best part because it was fresh and romaine so it had a crunch. I know I know this is an Ice cream parlor. I figure if they serve food it might be as good as their ice cream. NOT. Folks stick with the cream.

Some delicious ice cream flavors, the salted caramel and Mexican chocolate were to die for. I agree with the other reviewers about the service, they've been overall unfriendly from the start.

I love the drive out the Maltby. I use to consider this area the boonies, but the past few years has made me realize how close this place actually is. I've been here twice in the past few years and both experiences were pretty similar. The ice cream is good, they charge a fee for using a card, they don't ask if you'd like to sample a flavor, and the customer service is kind of cold. For the latter point, I just find it sad when owners/workers of smaller local shops are so unwelcoming because I love supporting local shops. I feel like if their business was truly their passion, they'd come to work everyday and serve their customers with a smile. Both times were two different ladies and they were both pretty short. Scoop. Pay. Bye. I still like the drive and the ice cream though.

I tried this type of ice cream after hearing about it from a good family friend. They make both ice cream, frozen custard, and gelato. Mint chocolate chip, French lavender, green tea, and caramel gingersnap are the flavors that I've tried. Caramel gingersnap is my favorite, yum! Swirls of crunchy gingersnaps in a sweet vanilla ice cream, as well as ribbons of caramel. Yum! Gingersnaps are one of my favorite cookies, so this was THE ice cream for me! I want to try more of their flavors and frozen custard! Flavors include: espresso chip raspberry honey, and honey cinnamon!

I had the cherry chip and my wife had the salted caramel and both were excellent! Nice atmosphere relaxing :)

I'm a fan of their ice cream, and prefer it straight from the shop rather than at the grocery store. Only bummer is they close at 6pm, so there's no popping in for dessert.

We love the ice cream at this shop in Maltby and stop by whenever we are on the way to visit relatives in Monroe. The hubby's favorite is the Tennessee Whiskey and the Jack Daniels that used to be served. Love the fact that the ingredients are natural and the landscaping surrounding the shop is a fun little walk. Have noticed that they have birthday parties here and always thought that would be fun! No 5 star though because on a recent visit, we arrived shortly before closing time and felt like we were imposing. As we ordered our ice cream, the lady told us we would have to get it to go ( we were going to eat it on the run anyway) because they were closing shortly and her attitude certainly didn't add to the fun experience with our 4 grandkids and mom-in-law in tow. As we sat outside, I realized that I had forgotten to check-in on Yelp. When I did, it offered a free one scoop for patronizing the shop. As my kiddos were loving their treat, I gave my phone to my granddaughter and told her to buzz back inside and get a free cone for a special treat. Unfortunately, she was told that they were closing in two minutes and they couldn't/wouldn't serve her. Honestly, I don't think it would take that long to dish out a free cone! We will still frequent our favorite spot for ice cream, but with a little less enthusiasm!

The food wasn't bad until I found a hair in my $10 sandwich. When I brought this to management's attention, I received no response. For very slow service, expensive food and poor customer service, I would spend my money elsewhere.

I like the ice cream and the interior. Probably it's organic and hand made. However it's not so different from ColdStone. Also, cashier told us that they cannot sell us coffee as they plan to close in 1.5 hours which is weird. I will buy ice cream there but only in case I'm around.

Skip the honey lavender unless you like eating hand lotion. Get the mango instead and be sure you get a waffle cone! The only con is that it's kind of spendy so that's why I took off a star.

Snoqualmie's ice cream is rich, buttery, velvety, smooth, creamy and absolutely delicious. As I was perusing the aisles of Whole Foods, I stumbled upon this treat. I was originally drawn to it because of the flavor options, in particular the Creme Fraiche gelato. Let's just say, I was not disappointed. It completely exceeded my expectations. This particular flavor tasted like a combination of butter and sugar, and the texture of the gelato was simply divine. Check out their website for your local grocer -- I know Bay Area Whole Foods locations sell this brand.

My husband and I treat our son to ice cream here every once and a while. The ice cream is so creamy, the last time we went I had Honey Lavender....I loved it. That says a lot for me, I usually gravitate towards chocolate. Today I had Kahlua Almond Fudge, this is my new favorite.

I met a couple gals advertising Snoqualmie Ice Cream at a networking event, and I'd had a long day. I was eating their ice cream the way a normal person would drink alcohol. They let me go back several times for more, and at the end of the night, they gave me some ice cream to take home. I'm theirs forever. I've of course since bought Snoqualmie Ice Cream at the store, and one time, I even had three different cartons in my freezer. Clearly, the ice cream is delicious, and the company is great, too. Check it out.

Fantastic Ice cream however only 3 stars because the owners wife is such a witch! She made party planning impossible for my cousin and aunt who are very organized reasonable people. DO NOT throw a kids birthday party there! It was $15 per child for a scoop of ice cream, cupcake and a cup of milk!! To top it all off you better BRING YOUR OWN PITCHER because they don't even have anything to put the milk in to serve. They will not let you bring in your own cake or juice for the kids and they do not have juice. The staff during the party was nice and its an adorable place I just hate to put money in the pockets of people who are so unreasonable and rude to deal with.

I've never been so happy to be wrong in my whole life. They just changed the packaging around, and didn't get rid of the lemon custard, they simply hid it; probably it in an attempt to make me realize how much I truly loved it. Carry on....

I cannot get enough of Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream; I'm glad they're finally selling their pints in stores! Well ok, the scale in my bathroom isn't so glad... but my tummy sure is. One of my favorites is their Caramel Gingersnap gelato. Pure freaking heaven. Cascade Mt Blackerry ice cream is delish as well. At their cafe they not only sell their ice creams, gelatos, frozen custards, milkshakes.. you know, all the standard ice cream parlor fair but they also have an impressive lunch menu featuring a variety of sandwiches. People complain about the prices but I think it's worth every penny. They're an eco-friendly company and use only local ingredients.. some even produced on the property itself. I will skip the Ben and Jerry's and the Haagen Dazs any day to have a pint of this yummy Snoqualmie Gourmet goodness. Go to the cafe or check them out at your local grocery store here in the city.

Honey cinnamon custard! Seriously, the best ice cream/custard ever!!!!!!!!!!! slice some apples, and pull apart some cinnamon bread and you'll be in heaven. Snoqualmie makes the best ice cream ever!!!!!!! find it in your local grocery stores and you'll be hooked like a model on cocaine!
(5)Jeanna L.
Snoqualmie Gourmet is my favorite ice cream brand. I love the honey lavender and green tea, which I buy as pints from qfc. I also like coming to the shop to try flavors that don't come in pints. Today I was in the mood for a milkshake so I got it in strawberry. Unfortunately, the flavor of the ice cream gets really diluted even though it's a nice thick shake with plenty of ice cream. However, the price for a milkshake is outrageous at $7 for about 16oz! And it's not even close to being mind numbingly good so it's definitely not worth it. Stick to the $3.50 single scoops or buy a pint at the grocery store for the best deal!

My girlfriend and I have been eager to try this place, but every time we eat at Maltby Cafe we're way too full to get ice cream. But we finally got around to it and we're fans.. kind of. It seems pretty far, but it really isn't too far from civilization. It's a nice clean store with indoor and outdoor seating as well as plenty of parking spots. It was 3.25 for a single scoop on a sugar/wafer cone or a cup.. I believe 5 bucks for the waffle cone. They charge a .30 fee for debit/credit under $5 as well. The inside was very clean and well kept. The ice cream, we were a bit full from lunch so we decided to share a cone. We had the regular strawberry and it was very creamy and tasted like fresh strawberries. Probably one of the better ice creams we've had. Next time we'll probably be more adventurous. The scoop was decently sized. So why the four stars? I'd actually give them a 3.5 but I decided to round up. I think that service and a customer relationship is just as important as the product they are providing. A good product doesn't cut it. When we walked in the door, there was no one else in the store. The gal behind the counter looked at us and didn't say a word. We started looking at the ice cream selection and she eventually said she'd help us when we were ready. We ordered and she said another sentence... "is that all?" Rung us up and came from behind the counter to clean tables. Not another word from her. Typically, I found smaller shops having nice and friendly people.. this was very much not the case!! We will be back to try some more flavors, but hopefully someone else will be assisting us.

Bought their Island Coconut and Caramel Ginger Snap flavors at Whole Foods and was instantly hooked. Just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess - just don't read their nutrition labels too carefully! Their store is charming and has other flavors not sold in supermarkets. If you are in the area, definitely worth a stop. Better than Molly Moon's!

This place came highly recommended from a local so I decided to try it out. I try to support local spots with sustainable business practices wherever I go, and the fact their ice cream is delicious seals the deal. I had strawberry and spumoni, both were great. I also sampled to my heart's content. The grapefruit sorbet is delicious and refreshing. The honey lavender was perfect. The caramel gingersnap was a total dream. I wish I lived closer so I could come here again and again. It was nice to see their products are carried by local grocery stores. I definitely plan to go back every time I am in Washington.

I've never been to the retail store, so this review is based entirely on the pints that you can buy in grocery stores. I could live and breathe their French Lavender ice cream. We have not had a single flavor that we haven't loved and I get so excited every time my boyfriend brings home a new one. Their quality is outstanding, flavors are wonderful and unique, and their business practices make me happy. We often find their pints for the same price or less than other "premium" brands, but I'm so much happier eating theirs. It is truly love.

Not just great ice cream and good food, but ecologically minded as well. You can enjoy delicious ice cream (try the pumpkin, it's amazing) with a clear eco-conscious. the company recaptures it's waste heat, using it to heat their water heaters as well as warm the cafe. They have solar panels mounted and have paved their parking lot with permeable concrete (allowing rainwater to actually soak into the ground underneath instead of run off into the stormdrains). They have a great edible rain garden, further capturing site water and returning it into the ground below. The garden provides numerous ingredients to their ice cream and cafe selections. They are currently in the process of creating a bioswale on the edge of their property and the Malty food bank, in an effort to further make their business green and to do something for the community. If you want to not only support local businesses, but local green businesses, then you couldn't find a better place to spend your money!

First time dropping in, and I wasn't impressed. The large signs on the outside of the building clearly advertise "Espresso" and "Pastries". There wasn't a single pastry on the menu. Upon asking about it, the response from the unapologetic staff was simply, "Yeah, we don't really have any pastries." Then get that sign off your building!! I decided to go ahead and let my daughter get ice cream anyway, then saw that it's $5 for a single scoop! Huh?!? We moved on to Baskin Robbins instead.

ice cream made onsite. What else could you ask for?...

I am sure my experience was kind of a fluke, but I have to rate based on what I experienced. I love frozen custard, and it is rare in this part of the country, so I don't mind going out of my way to get some. I normally get chocolate, and was very disappointed they didn't have any! I had a taste of banana custard and it tasted pretty good, so I ordered that. My husband got the peanut butter chocolate fudge ice cream. I was really disappointed in the custard! It was icy throughout, like every bite was crunchy because of it. It was probably just a bad batch, I don't know, but it was not like any other frozen custard I have had before. My husband enjoyed his ice cream and I had a few tastes and thought it was good as well. Something just seems off about a place that serves ice cream, and gelato, and custard. It's probably best to get gelato and custard at places that specialize in them. The atmosphere was great. They have a ton of room, tables and couches and a kids area. It seems like a great place, I probably just got a bad batch of custard.

I love the Snoqualmie ice cream and gelato pints you find at QFC and Central Market (you know- the one with the black and white checkered print). Was very excited to find out they had a shop in Maltby. There are lots of flavors of ice cream to choose from, including gelato and some frozen custard (cant wait to try the flavored frozen custards!). This go around, I had the tiramisu ice cream which was fantastic (I normally do not like coffee flavored ice creams) and also a scoop of pistachio gelato which was good. I wish they would carry green tea ice cream in the shop.......

I just visited there for the first time on 5/26/13 and couldn't believe what a strange experience I had. Since this review is a bit wordy, I'll summarize for those that don't have the patience. The ice cream is good but the customer service is bad. For those that want a little more detail, read on. My wife and I live in South Seattle and wanted to have a fun day trip this weekend. We both love Snoqualmie Ice Cream and have heard great things about the Maltby Cafe so we decided today would be a perfect day for a road trip to the Maltby area. We visited four stops in Maltby and had a fun and engaging time at three of them. Our last stop was the Snoqualmie Ice Creamery and we were hoping this would be the perfect finale to a fantastic day. We walked in at 4:35pm and were not greeted by the staff. There were no customers ahead of us so we looked at the wonderful selection of flavors and after sampling one each (I tried the Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey and my wife sampled the Buttermint) we asked the staff to pack us a pint of the Buttermint. That was delicious!!! We then had a second sample each. I tried the Bailey's Irish Cream and my wife the Cherry Amaretto Chip. You see, we came there to buy a lot of ice cream and the creamery has a fantastic selection of flavors that are not available via retail. When we asked for our third sample, that's when things got strange. The younger of the two ladies working the counter informed me that she wasn't allowed to give out anymore samples. What?! Talk about the taking the fun out of an ice cream shop. Confused by her statement, I inform her that I intended to buy a lot of ice cream (I was looking at bringing home at least 4 pints) but that I couldn't make a decision unless I was allowed to sample more flavors. She didn't apologize and stopped talking to me entirely at this point, instead she chose to lifelessly stare at the counter. This experience is starting to get really weird. The older gal steps in and says that the owner doesn't allow more than three samples per person and provided a ridiculous example of customers sampling 15 flavors and not buying anything. Ok, maybe on a busy day I would buy that but the counter was empty. I try to explain to her that I only had two samples and I am buying stuff (The Pint of Buttermint I had packed for example). She only got ruder. How does this happen at an ice cream parlor? The atmosphere was negative and no one was having fun behind the counter. I ended up with far less ice cream than I intended and can't say I feel good even buying the pint I asked them to pack. The staff just made everything confrontational and weird. I really doubt I will ever go back.

The first time I had this ice cream was when we bought a pint of "Mukilteo Mud" at PCC. This is the best chocolate ice cream I can remember! I have not had the pleasure of buying it from the actual location where it's made, but it's on my bucket list. If the other flavors are as good as this one, I'm hooked for good.

I, like another reviewer, have not been to the store. I have had the pleasure of tasting Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream. I've only tasted three of the flavors, although the flavors I tried were different from the previous reviewer. I would second all the reviews attesting to quality. This is some ice cream that isn't screwing around. Ultra-creamy without being unctuous. I'm certain the less esoteric flavors are at least this good, as the flavors I tasted, as they were flavors that could've been very uneven. Of all the flavors I've tried, my favorite is the lavender. It's such an odd taste at first, like eating potpourri, but finishes with a haunting floral aftertaste and something else that I can't quite articulate. Needless to say, it is an experience all should have. Or so it would be in my ideal world.. One benefit of the oddness of the flavor is that, unlike most ice cream, it's best in small amounts, much to the happiness of waist lines everywhere. Forgive the tangent, but I've also tasted a lavender eclair in Paris from what is considered to be a top-notch patisserie (can't remember the name). The eclair was a less intense an experience than the ice cream, and is easier to warm up to, but if you want the essence of lavender in dessert form, the ice cream wins out. After the lavender, I really loved the pumpkin. The flavor was spot-on; like a really great pumpkin pie base without being overwhelmed by the spices. This is an ice cream that's easy to eat a half-pint (or sometimes a full pint) in one go. I don't keep this around, but I sure love the experience. Lastly, there was the ginger.. The mix of the creaminess with the piquant fire of the ginger is quite invigorating, although tiresome, after a bite or two. This would be nice as a bit more than a garnish, but as is, it's not a great flavor. If their website is any indication, this flavor has been discontinued. I should say that the last time I ate any of these was about 2 years ago and I sorely miss being able to get this gem. Often found for $3 a pint (or less) in the Seattle metro area at many grocery stores, it's a fantastic value.. If you happen to live in the Seattle metro area, do try Snoqualmie ice cream. And if the owners are reading, I'd be very interested in a mail-order product. [crosses fingers]

Five stars for being eco-friendly! ( sustainablesnohomishcoun… ) Of course the ice cream is expensive (cheaper if you buy the pint then buying an cone). The quality is much better then your typical high flucose corn syrup container from the supermarket. To limit their carbon footprint, they grown the lavender on site to make their lavender vanilla. One would not notice that they use a heat recovery system to reuse the heat from the freezer to heat the building. I took a tour of this place and has brought a few friends back to show them how a business can be sustainable and produce great ice cream!
(5)DN S.
We tried the Creme Fraiche and it was great!! Both the kiddos love it and it is not too sweet and has a great tang to it. Would definitely buy again

The owner works here almost everyday. His dedication is amazing. He's so friendly and knowledgeable. The last time we visited, I was STARVING so ordered a sandwhich while the rest of my family ate ice cream. I was too full for a whole ice cream order but after I went to pay, he (owner) insisted I can't leave without ice cream and scooped me a scoop. He's a Class A act! The product speaks for itself - its amazing. I love that they have a drive thru and resource a lot of local products.
