Rating it three stars because during my last visit I had a mean younger waitress. I say mean because my mother asked for a virgin drink and twice it came back with alcohol! I kept telling the waitress that there was alcohol in it but she insisted on me being wrong. She told me she entered "kids cup" in the system so the bartender should know not the put alcohol in it. After my mom's face got red (because she doesn't drink alcohol) and me getting irritated with the waitress' attitude, I raised my concern to her again and forced her to ask the bartender if he had put alcohol in it. You can tell she was frustrated with me but within five mins she came back with the manager and apologized because yes indeed the bartender had been putting alcohol in my mother's drinks. Basically, they are lucky my mom wasn't allergic to the alcohol. This experience probably doesn't stop me from going here because I do enjoy the food but I definitely will not be ordering any virgin drinks there. I have been here before the my service was good, just not this last visit. But the drink situation raised some problems with me too...if the waitress put "kids cup" on the computer and the bartender put alcohol in it...they could have possibly made the same mistake but with an actual kid!! Just be careful parents!

This restaurant is awesome! The chefs cook your order right in front of you. They put on a nice show! Its expensive but you get what you pay for because of the experience!! Easily, you could spend $100 for two people. Must try and take home some of the yum yum sauce (yellow-orange in color)! This sauce is amazing! I can dip it in any kind of food! Purchased the souvenirs also! I got the cat and the sumo wrestler. They are really nice if you wanted to make them as decorations in your home. Must go here at least once, but I bet you'll come back again!

Everything was great. I got the steak and scallops and they were so good. The only thing was when we first got there they were really unorganized even though we had reservations. They were even a little rude about it and just kept telling us they were bussing our table for like 10 minutes while we waited.
(4)Laurel M.
Went here for my Fathers 58th Birthday. The Service was great! They even sang Happy Birthday at the end of our meal and brought him a slice of cake. Our Meal was Delicious and we had so much extra food we took it home with us. Great Place!
(4)Kristen W.
Loved this place! My first experience at a Japanese steak house and I was impressed. The food was great and watching the chef was really entertaining, he had a lot of skill and was really personable. The price was a little high, but I think the lunch specials would be reasonable. Will definitely go back.
(4)David D.
Entertaining watching your food being made in front of you with the chef chuggling sharp utensils and playing them much like a percussion instrument.. Food tasted great, but could have done without seeing, and thus knowing how much butter went into my food. Fun place.
(4)John L.
I am one that is not bedazzled by the chef's skills in handling a spatula and or a knife. what we ordered as far flavoring goes is not what we ordered. It was what he decided he was going to do. He was not Japanese, so what was authentic about that. The food tasted bad after he messed it up with his flavor concoction. I don't think he had clue what he cooked. It was our 25th wedding anniversary that day, and it was the worst memory for a day like that. I wanted something special, and it was a nightmare. I still have heartburns thinking about the food. Good food was wasted that day. The wife and I decided right then and there, that we would not go back there again. Also we have passed on to folks our experience. I have eaten in authentic Japanese Steakhouses and this was the worst. Service was not great either, it took time, I guess they were waiting for other customers to join the table, before they started. our drinks took time. never again

When I heard my boss was taking us to lunch in Silverdale, (I work in Bremerton), my first thought was, why?! I had never been to Fujiyama before so I was a little apprehensive about what is was going to be like. We came around 12:30 or so. We had a total of 14 people with us and they were able to accommodate our party with no problem. We were seated and asked for our drink orders. Drinks came within mins and the staff were very pleasant. We all ordered a variety of meats/seafood combinations and everything was cooked perfectly. Our chef was entertaining AND knew what he was doing. This place is definitely a great place and I recommend trying it at least once. Side-Note: Make sure you pack your wallet, because it gets pretty expensive, really fast.

This is a great place to take your family to eat. The Chef cooks your order on the grill right in front of you. He did an amazing job and our kids really enjoyed it. The vegetable stir fry is my personal favorite but everything looked and tasted really good. I would recommend this place to everyone.
(5)Christina D.
Love the chefs! They always make your experience entertaining! Everything on the menu is delicious!

We brought my sister to celebrate her 18th birthday and she was thrilled! She loved it so much she was suggesting taking our parents. My husband and i are fans of steakhouse restaurants, and I loved it once again. It's a fun atmosphere, I would definitely come back and when my family visits from Portland ill be bringing them here. Fujiyama is on my top list of restaurants; service was ok, it can get crowded, but the wait is always worth it. Yum!
(4)Krystal A.
Love this place food great them cooking the food I front you is jus great doesn't get old. Strongly recommend you eat here once. You only live once anyways. :) yum
(5)Shannon H.
Will was a great cook and great entertainer!! Steak and shrimp was wonderful!! Only thing missing is sushi!

I would really give this place 3 stars, but since it's ratings are highly over inflated I'll give it two. Honestly, this is probably the best hibachi place west of Seattle... because it's the probably only hibachi west of Seattle. Came in for lunch when it was completely empty, but they didn't even begin cooking for us until half an hour later. I'm sure it's because the waitress was hoping more people would come in so they could fill up the table a little more before they start cooking, but eventually you need to start doing something instead of hiding in the kitchen. We ordered tea, but it came out cold. How could it possibly come out cold when we were the first customers in the restaurant? Not only that, but I ordered an appetizer that never showed up. The food was okay. I'm not a huge hibachi fan in general, mostly because they try to compensate for flavor by giving you dipping sauces. The waitress and hibachi chef were nice, but nice only goes so far if the food isn't up to par. Overall place is alright. The decor is nice done, clean and presentable. The staff are professional and friendly, but ultimately the experience and food are meh. I definitely wouldn't go for dinner and would rather not go for lunch either. People come here for the novelty factor and the show, not the food.

WOW WHAT A SHOW! First of all the service is excellent! I took my brother here for his 21st birthday along with some friends. The bar tender (sorry boo I forgot your name) was excellent and very friendly! Started out with some Crown & Coke to warm up. I was drinking with my marine friend so I asked for 2 surprise drinks, the "trash can" she called it. WOW! lol. Finally after waiting about 15-20 minutes for our table (the place was packed btw) we meet our cook AKA food NINJA. He was very very entertaining had good jokes to tell. My party and I were very satisfied and the food was just excellent! If you ever eat here I recommend you request Dom, seriously worth the wait if he is busy. To the bartender and the cook all I have to say is DOMO!
(5)Mark H.
This is a great Teppanyaki style restaurant where the chef cooks the food in front of their guests. I have been here a total of 4-5 times now. Your experience is highly dependant on which chef cooks at your table. Fortunately, it ranges from decent to great so I haven't gotten a 1- 2 star experience...knock on wood. It is on the pricey side so a party of 3 can hit $100 very easily - at least my party of 3. It's obvious you pay extra for the potential entertainment from the chefs. I would recommend trying this place with a friend or two at least once. Posted via HTC Droid Incredible

I could have made a better dish at home to mimic our expensive carry put order with bottled sauce---this was not authentic or even fresh tasting food. Servings were large, sent leftovers to the trash. Embarrassed that we took family here expecting to pay more for decent food in kitsap county.

I've always liked these types of places. Good simple food served to you seconds after it's done cooking. Came here last night with a buddy as both of us had never been here before (I didn't even know it existed, that's what I get for moving from Silverdale). I got here a little early and settled in at the bar for an old fashioned. Not the best but it was fairly cheap, plus the conversation was good and I could see relaxing here sometime. Drink specials were cheap though kind of fruity. After my friend got there we were seated at one of those large tables to wait for the table to fill up. Ordered the Calimari with fried rice. Before I knew it there was a beef broth soup and miso salad in front of me. Both very good. The problem with this type of setup comes in the waiting. If your the first people to get seated (like we were) you can expect a decent little wait before the show actually starts, but with by beer handy I managed to find something to do. The cook was fun. Standard flippy spatula, onion volcano, and spinning egg stuff. The cook did have a bit of dry wit about him that made him more entertaining than some of the other times I've been out to these places. Now as for the food, it's actually kind of hard to judge. It's not getting any innovation awards but it's simple food that's served to you as soon as it's off the grill. This means your getting the food right at it's peak flavor wise. It also means the first bite is amazing, but the more it settles the more it kind of gets bland. Their sauces help out though. Both pretty good. My calimari was delicious with none of the rubbery feeling that can happen from overcooking. Overall it was a good experience. I would suggest that if your don't eat meat (or if your like me and try to only eat fish) then you let them know as several of the items have meat in them (beef broth soup, chicken in the fried rice).

As Rich J said, Kitsap has few options. We came here, expecting it to be similar to Benihana - decent food but that we'd be paying for the entertainment. Mmmm....Not too entertaining. The chef didn't have any original jokes or "tricks" - I've been to enough teppanyaki joints to know alot of the jokes and "tricks". Although the jokes and tricks were not original, he didn't even have enthusiasm. The food was "ok" but the steak wasn't tender or flavorful. If you must have the teppanyaki experience, take the boat to Seattle and go to Benihana, at least the food is good and the chefs entertaining.
(2)Jenifer L.
Most awesome food! Love this place! It's fun and the chefs are really great!
(5)Shawn P.
Favorite food in Silverdale. By far, Just a little pricy. What ever you get is good, but definatly get the chicken fried rice with it.
(5)Jay Michael C.
I love this place It has a great atmosphere that is over the top for this area. I do like the decor and the food is great. If you do come in be ready to enjoy the food and food preparation. There are times one has to plan it to come early due to sitting, but also it can get pricey if you don't watch what you order.
(4)Rich J.
Given that fact that Central Kitsap has very few decent fine dining experiences, I know that Fujiyama will quickly become a very popular destination. It's not simply dinner out, but a total eating and entertainment experience. customers sit around the teppan hot plates while skilled chefs slice and dice their way into your heart and tummys! You get a lot of great food for a reasonable price. Even though I only gave them 3 stars, I am confident that 4 or 5 will be in order soon!
(3)Rebecca B.
A very enjoyable evening for my first time there. The food was great and service was good. I really enjoyed watching the chef cook for us. Definately will go back.
(4)Marissa D.
I gave this two stars because I want there several times and enjoyed it. However the last time my parents and I got the worst food poisoning we have ever experienced in our lives.
(2)Chris B.
Like others have written, it is the only hibachi-style steakhouse in Kitsap. It's great for groups to go to, food is good and well priced along with the entertainment. Birthdays are a plus also, little advice if you can squeeze the steak and lobster out of them instead of the now birthday meal of steak and chicken, try it but you'll have to mention it to your server.
(4)Justine H.
Similar to Benny hanas, but much better. The food was absolutely amazing, and the drinks were up to par as well. Great for family, friends, or even that special someone. The possibilities are endless. May I suggest the miso soup with your meal, it's much better than the egg drop. The only complaint I have, is the waiter took my soup before I was finished with it.
(4)Brian S.
I ate here with my wife and two 4-year-olds last month. The food was great, service very good and the show was fantastic. The kids absolutely loved it and so did I. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town.
(5)Travel-critic-nwest X.
I rate a-ok, since it is a fairly clean establishment, they were attentive. I am not going to rush back there for repeat performances. it was entertaining, in a sort of canned sort of way. in truth, the company of my wife and daughter made it all worthwhile. yes, the fried rice is good, shrimp is good, lobster tail prepared very well, steak and chicken fine. i would not hesitate to visit again, just not a once a month thing, more a twice a year deal.
(3)Amy R.
Fujiyama is a poor copy of Benihana. It seemed dirty in the restaurant and the food wasn't that great. I'll go to Benihana next time.
(1)Dan B.
It's no secret that Silverdale has a fairly meager selection of fine dining establishments. My parents have a pretty set rotation of dinner places--silver city, origami sushi, wok on fire, and the yacht club among others--so when I was visiting this weekend I went out on a limb and suggested Fujiyama since it just recently opened and I was curious as to how it stacks up. Now let me throw this out there right up front: I'm new to the whole Benihana-style food-as-entertainment thing. I pretty much just like steak, saw "Steakhouse" and then wanted to try it. So anyway, right off the bat I wasn't too pumped about the communal seating, as it kind of detracts from having any kind of meaningful conversation with the people you go with. I get that's how it has to work for the show aspect of it though, and I quickly got over it. Also, it's probably out of the price range of the mall crowd, so it mostly seemed to be older couples and families that we were rubbing shoulders with. (I count that as a plus). Our cook was funny and personable and definitely had some skill (his juggling of the eggs with the spatula was my personal favorite) and the food was good all around. Obviously the guy can only make one thing at a time, so you are going to get the soup/salad and then the veggies, followed by your first meat and any secondary one after that. I made a mistake of eating each item as they came, so at the end I just had some chopped up steak with my rice. Next time I'll try to show some restraint so I can maintain some variety on my plate. The food was all adequately tasty. The garlic butter on the veggies gave them a nice flavor, and the steak was tender and juicy with only a small bit of gristle on one piece. Since it's being prepared in front of you, they aren't going to be going overboard with seasonings or rubs or anything, so the freshness is really what it has going for it. Overall it wasn't necessarily anything to write home about, but I wasn't disappointed. When you factor in the cost of the entertainment that's included with the food, I would say that it's reasonably priced. I would maybe have liked slightly bigger portions, but I tend to be a big eater and others at the table actually had enough leftovers to take home. Also, it seems like the overall experience will differ greatly based on who your cook is. The older guy at the grill next to us had zero energy and no showmanship whatsoever, so it was a bummer for those folks. Also, since it was a Friday, we didn't have to wait too long for the table to fill and the show to start. I could see it being an issue on weeknights if it's not as busy though. All in all, I would say it makes for a fine night out and I could see it being a decent choice for a large work group or to bring your family to for a birthday or something (or maybe a date that you don't want to be too personal).
(3)Craig M.
The service was excellent and the food was very good. The staff saw my son struggling to hold chopsticks and made a cheater set for him. Our chef was not the most entertaining but good food made up for that. They haven't been open long and were surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night.
(4)Shawn C.
Good atmosphere, great food. We left full and the people next to us couldn't finish their ice-cream because they were too full. Priced reasonable. I will be back again with friends and family.
(4)Heather B.
I went here for the first time on my birthday. I've been to Benihana once - same concept - food isn't the same. It was good and our chef put on quite a show. Great place to go with friends! I tried a bit of my friend's calamari and it was pretty darn good - not overly rubbery like other places with a clean (not fishy) flavor. The soup they give you is good as is the crab and asparagus roll appetizer I had. I got the filet mignon and lobster - very good, though I warn they do cook on the rare side - I ordered my steak rare and I probably should have said medium rare because in the very center it was still completely raw and a little cold. My friend ordered tea and sent it back because it was cold. One thing I should tell you is a bit of false advertising - they advertise a free steak and lobster dinner for the birthday person if they're in a group of six or more. There should be some fine print at the bottom of that. We went for lunch and once we got there I found out they only do it if the guests order off the dinner menu - and 6 people have to ORDER dinner so it really is a group of 7 if you include the birthday person. I took away a star for this because I was very disappointed. If I had known, I would have arranged to have a birthday dinner, not lunch. The birthday celebration with the staff was pretty cool and the piece of cake was really good! However unlike other places where they come out and sing to you and you get a free dessert - they charge $5 for the celebration, $3 if you just want the cake. I will probably go back. EDIT: Just checked the website - they have now added that the free birthday dinner is only valid for dinner.

As far as the Teppanyaki goes, this was one of the better places I've been to, but not the best. The food was very good, the chef friendly. The only down side was the waitstaff is not very attentive, so take initiative and flag them down.
(4)Carly M.
It was very entertaining Nd the food was amazing!!!!!!!!
(5)Bryson M.
This place has amazing food! The wait can take about 45-60min to get seated but that's expected at good eating establishments in silverdale. The wait is definitely worth it though. The service is on point and the servers are friendly. The chef that graced my table was very friendly, entertaining and made to food perfectly. Fujiyama is now on my list of favorite restaurants in silverdale. I'm definitely coming back for in the future. But i recommend you take a Party of 3-7. The more the merrier
(5)Alicia N.
Yummy food, cool atmosphere, nice to have something a little different in Silverdale.
(4)Eddie R.
For Silverdale,WA - get there because it may be the best new hidden gem in Silverdale. The food was fresh and tasty. Dominic was a good chef to have - very nice. The place, food, and taste pleased a picky 11 year old so it was all good. Just go!
(5)Keith M.
Simply amazing. A fine dining experience in kitsap county. So rare. A must do for every event. I have reccommended this to everyone I know and not a single person has been disappointed yet.
(5)Mark P.
Most people are familiar with Benihana; same (Teppanyaki) mold. Food not quite as good; but more reasonably priced...most expensive item is 40.00 for filet mignon, lobster and scallops...plus comes with soup, salad, chicken vegetables and rice (fried 3.00 extra). Most dinners are from 15-25 bucks. A huge part of the draw here is the show. Our chef was Jeremy which while looking around room - we certainly got lucky! We had a party of 8 so we could control the mood and with Jeremy's help it was very upbeat and fun throughout dinner. We all enjoyed our dinner - albeit probably would not impress food snobs but it's good grub and plenty of it. The wait staff was a bit overextended but it was a full house on a Thursday evening. Need to be careful in groups because party of eight with two tabs earned an automatic 18% gratuity (listed in menu for parties of six or more - not a problem as long as you realize it has been added). It sure is nice to have this venue in Kitsap County and eliminate the Seattle hassle for a Teppanyaki fix. Also, aesthetics are nice, clean and the bar is by far better than Benihana's - if you can - spring for the best sake (22.00 bottle). I'll go again.
(4)Kate S.
love this place! have been there several times, and every time I thoroughly myself! food is delicious, and the "show" is always entertaining!!
(5)J G.
This would be a fun place to take kids if it wasn't so overpriced and the food so disappointing. If the chefs at the Mongolian Grill learned how to toss spatulas you would have the same experience with better food. Our evening started with our server announcing the salad as they brought it to the table stating that it had cucumber, tomato and their house dressing. It was iceberg with the same runny dressing you get with take-out teriyaki. Their home made onion soup was a caramel colored broth with a single ring of uncooked onion and a few slices of mushroom, had no flavor. The chef brought out a rolling cart with trays of food that were to be prepare on the grill. There were multiple aluminum trays that were stacked on top of each other...do they run those trays through the dishwasher? Aluminum sitting on top of raw steak and seafood, not very appealing. All of the food was cooked with the same seasoning as the fried rice so it all tasted the same. $60 for two people and I wish I had ordered Teriyaki from the take out place located next door.

My fiance and I had never been to Fujiyamas but our two friends recommended it, so we gave it a shot. It was late (about 10:30pm) when we arrived on a Saturday night (they close at 11:30pm) but they still sat us and fit us in before closing. Our friends ordered the chicken and steak dinner for two and we did the same. It came with shrimp (our chef even went back into the kitchen and got us some extra), fried rice, chicken, steak, vegetables, soup, salad, and ice cream for desert. It only cost about $45 for the meal (not incl. tips). My fiance and I are not from Kitsap County and comparing Fujiyamas to other Teppanyaki style restaurants in the Pierce and King County areas, I would rank it number 2 on our list. The food was delicious, service was good, and the chef was entertaining.
(4)Walter H.
The dining experience was very comfortable and pleasant, food was very good. Nice new addition to Kitsap county, which needs more upscale restaurants. Very busy from 5pm to 9pm make reservation other wise you might wait awhile.
(4)rick g.
Attended with a group of around 12 people. Had made a reservation for a Friday night. Still waited 30 minutes after reservation to be seated. Didn't mind just waited in bar. Our waitress was good and kept up with our large group. Even made cheater chopsticks for one or the chopsticks challenged members of our group. Our chef was entertaining and interacted with the group. The food was OK. But combined with the entertaining chef it was a good place to go with a group. I would like to go back and take my 8 and 10 year old. Saw some people with lap children that seemed to not be having a good time.
(4)Calvin F.
This is my second time eating here, and it's even better than before. Right off the bat, kudos and a fat raise to Nick in the bar. My cousin uses a wheelchair, and Nick had no problem accommodating us. He gave us the corner table, which he had literally just cleared seconds before, so that my cousin could slide easily into the booth and park his chair out of the way of other patrons. He honored our request to change one of the TV channels to NASCAR so that we could watch the race, he brought us our beer and sake in a timely fashion, hooked us up even further by changing another TV's channel to the NASCAR channel just so we could hear the race, while not disturbing another couple who were having their dinner at the bar. Fujiyama's = Excellent food and incredible service. Five stars truly earned.
(5)JJ H.
My husband and I had seen this restaurant, but had never tried it, today was the perfect day to try it for lunch. We were greeted immediately and there was no wait to be seated. We were seated with a large family group who had already placed their drink orders. Our server was quick to get our drinks added and was friendly and attentive the entire time. We got vegetables, shrimp, chicken, steak, calamari, and fried rice. The onion soup with chicken broth was delicious, the rest of the food was good, if prepared out of the order we were accustomed to, say at Benihana's. It showed up on our plates like this...veggies, calamari, rice, chicken, steak, shrimp. All pretty delicious, although if I had to do over, probably would get the plain rice, as the fried was a little heavy on the salty soy. (I think that depends on the chef, the next grill over, we saw that chef go a little easier on the soy.) The same for the calamari, but I also didn't ask for light salt. Steak cooked to medium well perfection, chicken juicy and flavorful--a nice relaxing meal. We will return.

What a great place to come last night and enjoy great food with some of the family. It was a daughters suggestion that I made our reservation "on line"...from my iPhone...how cool was that...!!! Six of us arrived a few minutes before our 5:00pm reservation...a lot of folks there too...after a few minutes we were seated. Drink orders were taken, now the task of selecting your dinner begins. The menu isnt exhaustive but there are so many excellent choices. While the others went for a teriyaki chicken or steak combination, I selected the tempura dinner...a combination that includes chicken, shrimp, vegetables and squid...each lightly tempura battered. This dish also is served with steamed rice, soup and salad. Everyone enjoyed the "show" with the chef cooking the foods teppanyaki style at the table. Food was superb, service was outstanding. We're coming back...hope to see you here...!!!
(4)Coco B.
My family loves this place! It is a great night out for a special occasion or just a nice family dinner. My son LOVES the onion volcano and seeing it light up with fire. My only complaint is that it is a little chilly in there all the time! But this is a great spot, friendly staff and good food!
(4)Susanna D.
Yum yum sauce is not the only thing that makes the food yummy. Great atmosphere for our anniversary dinner. The salmon dinner is a great value. Too much food to eat in one sitting for most ladies. My husband finished all of his food because it was delicious not just because it would make his mama proud. The garbage can drink was purity stellar but the $10.50, is debatable. Not that I wouldn't order it again. Our chef was funny, entertaining and best of all, knew what he was doing. Everything was cooked perfectly and it made for a great night out with my husband. I wouldn't recommend bringing young toddlers or babies to this place because of the table side action. Every parent I've ever seen with a baby or toddler there also had the look of regret on their face. Enjoy
(5)rachel s.
Soooo amazing! great food! The Yum yum sauce is fantastic!! It's really dinner and a show! Great place to bring the entire family.
(5)Kiera S.
My husband and I had the chicken and steak for two. It comes with the soup, salad ,vegetables, chicken fried rice,2shrimp, your meat and ice cream! Super good deal for all the food you get. Soup was awesome broth like with mushrooms and onions in it, the salad was good just ice burg lettuce cucumber and tomato but the dressing was amazing! The vegetables were definitely my favorite, next time I go I'll get the vegetables as my entree. The meat was really good especially with the yum yum sauce! Overall it was fantastic and we will definitely be back! With our kids
(5)David M.
My family and I are regulars at this fine establishment. There servers are outstanding; the chefs put on and outstanding show and the Hibachi Steak, veggies and fried rice are cooked to perfection. 3 particular cooks stand out: Casey, Peter, and Will. They can cook and entertain the very young and the very old. Amazing crew and the bar makes excellent drinks as well.
(5)Linda C.
This place is always hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, but we've also had burnt scallops and a chef who got egg on his face and stopped doing tricks and talking. They aren't consistent so it's hard to rate them - Either they're amazing or terrible, rarely just OK. For the price of the food you expect more.
(3)Chris A.
We've been here before and the food is great, but this time we didn't have a chance to eat. After we were seated we waited 30 minutes without anyone coming to our table to see us. I asked one of the waitresses if someone was going to be serving us soon and told her how long we had been waiting. She said OH and ran off. We waited 5 more minutes and when no one showed up we left. Too bad cause I was really looking forward to the food. We will not be going back. I feel if I'm going to pay almost $100 for a meal the service should be better than that.
(1)Cho D.
The drinks were yuck!!! The trash can might have been good but they put a can of red Bull in my drink and I wondered if they cleaned the can first. The other house drink I got tasted like lime juice water and gin. Not sure what it was supposed to be. The food was just okay. Our chef was funny and engaged us. But our waiter seemed to disappear, and didn't refill our glasses at all. I'm just not sure how much I liked or disliked thus place. Nothing special I guess, a bit over priced.

This place is great. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. This is the second time I have been here. This time it was for my boyfriend's birthday celebration. We shared a table with two other couples. The cook was entertaining and quick, which i alwayd appreciate as I want to talk to my dinner company versus stayiny hush hush the entire time. I alerted the staff to the birthday and they were kind enough to forgo the whole song and dance and provided him with a piece of cake. We will be back!

The staff and chefs create an amazing experience each time I am here; recently the manager, Dawn, failed to achieve such an experience. From our arrival, she served with an air of inconvenience and aggravation. The overall experience was good due to her amazing staff who apparently shared my frustration with her. Although she apologized after she heard I planned on writing this review, I am still very disappointed a person with this demeanor is a manager.

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed Fujiyama's yet after eating there regularly for the last four years! Yes, after eating there over the years, Fujiyama's earns all five stars! The service is always good, sometimes it's great, sometimes it's slow, but in the end it is always good service. You get everything you need or want and if something is missing or wrong they fix it. They may now fix it monetarily but they will do something to acknowledge your trouble. They're always kind and greet you with a smile and a welcome. I think we've had just about everything on the menu and it's all good, cooked to order right in front of you! Anything cooked in the back comes out hot and fresh as well so don't be afraid to order something off the grill. Each Chef has their own way of doing things and they're own order of events, that's what makes each visit special. Sometimes the new chefs are a little shy and timid or trying too hard to cook everything perfect and the show gets a tad "boring" but the food is always spot on. The chicken is generally a little over cooked for my tastes but I think they worry about undercooking it which can be bad in that setting. Everything is cooked to order though so if you like your chicken cooked less, just tell chef! I highly recommend the calamari, very highly recommend! Best thing on the Hibachi menu! Now understand, it's not perfect, sometimes service is slow, sometimes it's not. Sometimes the chef is highly entertaining, sometimes he's not. If you interact and enjoy the group seating, you'll enjoy the entire experience. The food is consistently good and very well portioned so you'll have enough to take home a bit of that rice for breakfast!!
(5)Terri B.
The manager called and told me she was unaware of all that had transpired with my meal. Apologized over and over and presented me with a free meal card. Therefore, five stars for Fujiyama!
(5)Dusty S.
Prices and wait was as expected. The steaks inches off the floor was unsatisfactory. One staff member even had their show touching the platter of steaks.

Great place to go for special occasions. They are a bit on the pricey side but it's worth it. They really cater on yours needs. The staff is really welcoming and friendly. This place is usually packed, so I recommend that you make reservations. Parking can be a pain but you'll eventually find something. LOL!

Been here a couple of times. It's one of a kind for the area, so there's nothing really to compare it to. You're seated around a large table where your meal is prepared in front of you by the chef, with a variety of tricks at his disposal (flipping, lighting on fire, etc.). Our chef was decent, conversing and entertaining without letting the quality of the food suffer. The tempura chicken and vegetables are my favorite, and their quality has been consistent each visit. The Yum Yum sauce is good, especially with the rice, but sparingly on the tempura chicken. The social atmosphere is always nice, and the price is good for the food you get. Service has been friendly every time I've visited, but seemed a bit slow for the amount of people that were there. Fuji's is best enjoyed with a group to share in the Chef's shenanigans.

The first time we went, it was pretty good. The chefs are all very talented. The servers are hit and miss. Can't say the service our first visit was memorable, but it wasn't bad. The most recent visit was for a friend's birthday. We sat down, and our server came to take drink orders. She was polite, but she looked and spoke as if she was high on drugs - very slow and monotonous. She said there was a drink special, but she didn't remember what it was. She also didn't bring enough food on two occasions, and the chef had to go get more, delaying meals. It's worth mentioning that it was a Wednesday evening, and they were slow. At the end, we got two orders of ice cream and wanted to share, so we asked for extra spoons. She stared blankly and asked if we wanted spoons or forks. Why would we want forks for ice cream? After leaving, we remembered there was a free meal on birthdays for a party of six or more that wasn't offered, even though we mentioned three times that it was her birthday. All in all, the food is good and the chefs are personable. The service? Meh. For the price, I would expect more.

I love this place! No worries being dressed up-- just head on in for a great dinner with fun entertainment and nice service. I always get the New York steak hibachi dinner with a clear broth soup ginger salad and I get the chicken fried rice instead of plain steamed. Everytime it is fantastic! Ask for extra yum yum sauce! Giving it give stars cause I always leave happy and with leftovers for later! It does get very busy but don't worry you can order this meal from the bar too. Just no fireworks! The only other thing that I would mention is the constant happy birthday singing. It's hilarious - a little annoying but hey! It's a nice social meal! Enjoy! Yes I would recommend friends to come here.
(5)Amy D.
Such a wonderful atmosphere. Service was great, aside from a very cranky hostess that greeted us and checked in our reservation. Our chef was entertaining. The food was delicious. They catered to my young children and flattered me accordingly. :-) We will happily return in the future.
(4)April C.
What a fun place this is! Super delicious food! We love being entertained by the cooks. A bit on the spendy side, it's very worth it. And if price is an issue at all, go for lunch. I absolutely love the steak! And the aptly named Yum Yum Sauce is to die for! I dip everything in it.
(5)Marthy G.
Words can't explain how frustrated I am with this restaurant. I made a Reservation at 8 and was not seated til half an hour later even though my entire party showed up at 730. I ordered Edemame and chicken and steak for two. The edemame was partially overcooked and was lightly dashed with iodized salt. Nothing fancy like sea salt or rock salt. Felt like it possibly came out of a bag. Next I didn't order Fried rice but was provided it anyway. The same with shrimp. Food tasted very Bland. Fried Rice was simply made. Other than that watch someone flip a spatuala and be amazed. Thats where your money is going.
(2)Justin M.
I'm normally very satisfied with the food and service but unfortunately tonight was very different. I placed an order to go and was told that it would be ready in an hour. When I showed up about 30 minutes later I noticed my order sitting on the bar ready to go. I paid for my order immediately and excitedly drove home (about a 5 min drive) thinking everything was working out better than expected. When I arrived at my house my wife and I immediately sat down to eat, only to find out that the food wasn't anything close to what we have come to expect from fujiyama's in terms of quality, on top of already being cold. Which led me to wonder how bad it would have been if I'd waited the full hour. So now I'm out 60 bucks with a bad taste in my mouth.

We planned a very nice night out for my mom, who recently became a widow, wanting to cheer her up, and show her a fun time! I made a reservation days in advance, called to make sure a reservation would assure us a better seat, and that a Wednesday night was less busy, assuring us of getting the time we wanted for our reservation... We stood in the lobby for 40 minutes past our reservation, we were seated at a table that looked directly down the hallway where the servers were prepping food, and were seated with two groups consisting of many small children and adults who didn't know how to control them! We were hoping that our chef would put on a good show and save the evening...he had NO personality, barely speaking, and seemed unhappy to be at work!!! A TERRIBLE experience!! I feel ripped off...we did not have a good time, my mom did not have a good time!! We may as well have gone to Applebees!!! UNHAPPY!!
(2)L C.
My favorite place to eat! Great service, good food and some of the cooks are very talented. Lunch prices combined with the Kitsap Card discount equals a good deal for two people:).
(5)Aimee H.
After driving aimlessly through Silverdale in search of a restaurant open on Christmas day, my husband and I discovered that Fujiyama was the place to be that night! I was extremely pleased with my hibachi calamari---it was so delicious, especially with the yum yum sauce!! I had to pace myself from not eating it all in one go. My husband thought his New York steak hibachi wasn't bad either. Our waitress was very sweet and kept her cool despite practically running around the entire night. While it was a little pricey, I am glad we checked this place out and think that everyone should try it at least once, if not for the awesome chef show.
(4)Taylor M.
I have gone to this restaurant for 7 years now, especially on birthdays or when family is in town. My friend and i went last Saturday for her birthday and I was so offended by our waiter and how rude he was. Before i could even finish asking a question about the menu he responded with a sharp NO, and moved on. He was so rude when it came to who was paying the bill he made me feel so uncomfortable, it ruined the rest of our evening. He also assumed because we had paid in cash that we wouldn't want our change (as if he deserved a tip) and my friend had to ask 3 times for her money. I am very polite and understanding to waiters and waitresses and normally let things pass but this man almost made me cry at the table because of his rudeness and how uncomfortable I was.. The waiters name was Kiril. While the food there is so good, the yum yum sauce is amazing, and the chefs are always nice, i don't think ill be going back there for a long time.
(3)Zeke S.
Ugh s-l-o-w service, which is never fun when dining with toddlers. Took about 25 minutes for the chef to come, which is reasonable considering the fact that the place was packed. However, taking 20 minutes to bring us the check from the time we asked, not cool. Service was spotty as well, refills, clearing out appetizer plates etc. On the bright side, the chef was wonderful and entertaining, and the food was decent
(3)Codi S.
Yum yum yum yum yum! Love the food and the show! Would love more food for the price though yikes! Prepare to brake the bank when you eat here.
(3)CJ G.
For what this place is and the area it is located in, it is a great place. The food was excellent and the service was prompt. My only qualm is how far your money goes... One of the reasons why I have always liked this style of restaraunt is by the end of your meal you are stuffed as they prepare the veggies, meats, and then rice in front of you it seems never ending. This was not the case during my experience at Fujiyama. Our Chef first sauteed our vegetables for the group and when he was done moved right along to grill the meat. The trouble was, that by the time the reasonable portion of chicken made it my plate I had cleared my plate of vegetables. The same thing happened with my fried rice. When he had finished up frying up the rice for everyone, my plate was empty. I could have avoided the partitioned meal by waiting until all of the food had been cooked, but I prefer to eat my food all at the same temperature. In the time it had taken to finish making everything, my veggies would have been cold, my chicken luke warm, and rice hot off the grill. Another reason I burned through each "serving" was because of how small each portion was. I don't know if they are cutting costs or I just eat that much nowadays but I felt that I should have ordered two plates to satisfy my appetite. Overall the food was very good and that Yum Yum sauce is as good as everyone says it is.

This place is definitely one of my favorites to visit during special occasions! While the prices may be high, the food and show are definitely worth it! I don't know how people are able to eat here on a regular basis, it's pricey and why would you want to taint the "specialness" of the visit?? Whatevs. Anyway, I usually get the Dinner Hibachi Steak cooked rare with fried rice (up charge $3.00). You get a salad (meh, it's a salad!), some type of clear broth onion/mushroom-y soup (ehhh it's soup!), grilled and seasoned vegetables (carrots, zucchini, onions, broccoli, and mushrooms iirc), chicken fried rice (or plain steamed white rice if you don't enjoy flavor), two pieces of flavorful shrimp, and the delicious New York Strip steak!!! They cut the steak into bite size pieces for you (how considerate!), which is perfect for dipping into the two sauces they give. The first is a Ginger Garlic sauce, nothing to write home about. I usually skip that one. The Yum Yum sauce, however, is a different story. I'm sure this sauce is full of trans fats, saturated fats, fat fats, and all types if artery clogging goodness - and that is exactly why it is SO delicious!! I dip my vegetables and steak in that sauce. Heck, I could dip my shoe in the sauce an it'll probably taste good! I won't though. The show is usually pretty entertaining and most of the chefs are very fun and charismatic. They cook the food in front of you so be prepared for flying shrimp or the occasional fire! The servers are usually pretty attentive, which is a good thing since the entire experience is quite long and drawn out, so getting our drinks topped off is always a plus! I took off one star because the wait can be fairly long. I'm not talking about the wait for a table, I understand that they need a certain amount of people to be seated at a table before the chef can start his magic. I'm talking about the wait once we're actually AT the table - takes forever!!!! Not sure if they only start prepping once the table is seated, but things could always move a little faster. Another downside is, personally, I order my steak rare because I know from experience that it will not cook up rare. Because they cut it up into smaller pieces, the steak ends up cooking faster so instead of it actually being rare, it usually ends up being around a medium or so. Not a huge problem for me since the meat is still tender and tasty, even without the Yum Yum sauce! All in all, I definitely recommend this place for celebratory occasions or a maybe the occasional date night! I keep the visits few and far between so that this place stays "special" to me and my wallet stays happy, too! :)
(4)Tina B.
The MR and I chose the steak and shrimp for two dinner. There was more than enough food for the take home box. Everything was cooked delicious and the chef was delightful. Would try this place again!
(5)Sunny O.
The food is delicious and well worth the price! The serving and cooking staff are the best! I will definitely go back
(5)Savannah C.
I love coming to Fujiyama. The food is delicious here and you can't forget about the yum yum sauce. I have yet to be disappointed in the food or dining experience. Do expect to wait if you're coming during dinner rush otherwise make a reservation. I have no problem waiting when I do spontaneously dine at this restaurant without a rsvp. 2 thumbs up!
(4)Emily W.
Fujiyama's is delicious! We love this place. Great atmosphere, great and friendly staff and the food is very close to perfection! The chefs who cook in front of you are always entertaining and definitely entertaining for the little ones! My daughter gets a kick out of it. The food is amazing! I usually get the teriyaki chicken, it's my favorite! The steak is amazing, too. Their seafood isn't fishy at all and is full of flavor! Their rice is to die for! I could eat a whole plate of it to myself! The veggies are cooked to perfection and I like to pour their yumyum sauce all over them. Not to mention, yumyum is a perfect name for that sauce because it sure is yummy! It's a little bit pricey, so we don't get to go as often as we'd like, but don't take that the wrong way, because the food is definitely worth the price! Everyone should try this place at least once!
(5)Angela M.
We took my mom here for Mother's Day dinner and she absolutely loved this place! It was her first time and it was entertaining and the food is always good! The guy who was doing our dinner was funny and made it a night that we will not forget. My mom loved it so much she wants to find a place by her IL so she can take my grandma. We let her know that not all places are this fun, we have tried others where the food is not as good or the entertainment is not so entertaining! This was our second time coming here but it will not be our last!
(4)Dee C.
It may be pricey, but definitely worth it!! You get what you pay for and it's two thumbs up good!! The yum yum sauce is to die for!! Can't get enough of that sauce!! Chef are very talented and entertaining!! My daughter loves it when they cook in front of are table.
(4)J. M.
We always have a wonderful time when at Fujiyama. The food is always great! Yum yum sauce is the best I've ever had and the chefs really do know how to put on a show. Fun and exciting for the kids and the chefs always seem to really enjoy and interact with them. It may be from all the "ooooh" "aaaahs" and clapping. :) The price is a little high in comparison to the average restaurant. If you think about it, you're paying for dinner and a show and the overall experience so the price is fair for a fair portion size. We love going. It truly is a treat. Also, weekends, especially dinner time, can be extremely packed so you might want to plan ahead.
(5)Lexi C.
seriously one of the best restaurants ive ever been to! everything was soooo good! the chefs are so talented and entertaining. waitresses were friendly and outgoing. i cant wait to go back!
(5)Samantha V.
I am not really sure where to begin, so I will first start with the cost of our dinner as food for thought while I explain the rest of my experience. For two entrees and a kids chicken nugget meal: $60. I believe my husband also ordered a beer. So, here we go.... Service was slow. When we got there with reservations for 8 people we sat in the waiting area for about 15 minutes before they even asked us any questions. When we were seated, they took our drink orders, but it took about 10 minutes to bring them out. I was really thirsty, until I tasted my water. It was gross. I'm not picky about water, but ew. When our orders were taken, the waitress told my husband the tempura shrimp he was ordering wasn't going to be enough food for him, and suggested another plate of a variety of tempura battered seafood($10 more, and he didn't even make it half-way through the variety plate). I ordered teriyaki chicken, and TRIED to order a kids hibachi chicken, but she misunderstood and wrote down chicken nuggets. 30 minutes later, they brought out the food to be cooked. I didn't even bother saying anything about the chicken nuggets. The cook was obviously not excited to be there, which kind of brought the mood down. He forgot the lighter, too. He already added the oil to the onion when he realized, and then proceeded to run around the room to find one. It was kind of anti-climactic.... The food was just okay. Nothing special. Not $60 worth of goodness, for sure. And after being in the restaurant an hour before we even got to eat, they brought us our bill like 10 minutes after our food was done. And because we came with a party over 6(5 adults, 3 kids under 6)an 18% gratuity was automatically added to everyone's bill. I would not go back, or recommend anyone here.
(2)Teresa P.
Everything we ordered was so good! We found the prices and portions to be very reasonable, and there was excellent service and no wait. Keep in mind, we came in for lunch and ordered the lunch menu, the prices of which were a good 25% to 30% cheaper than the dinner menu. Between everyone in our party, we ordered the following: the mussels appetizer, the dim sum appetizer, and the ebi shrimp skewer appetizer; the chicken fried rice, the hibachi chicken; the hibachi steak, cooked rare; hibachi shrimp; and hibachi calamari. Our meals also came with steamed rice, vegetables, and the "yum yum sauce." EVERYTHING was top-notch the delicious. Calamari is often tough and/or rubbery, but this was so tender and flavorful. The portions were large, and everyone left stuffed. I was skeptical as it just looks like a weird big mac sauce, but it really is true that the yum yum sauce (both the mild and spicy versions) really do make everything yum yummier. :-) As far as the show was concerned--because yes, it is dinner and a show--Jeremy was our chef and he was FANTASTIC. What a neat show! So cool to watch and experience! The server also asked if we were military (we are) and offered us the military discount at the end. Jeremy the chef aside, our server (Jessica?) provided excellent, attentive service. Definitely coming back!!! They told us to get reservations if we come back at a dinner hour, which could explain the slow service that some mentioned on other reviews.
(5)S W.
Absolutely fantastic place! The chicken fried rice is awesome! The meals are just more food than is necessary, though. Soooo much food. The yum yum sauce, while probably incredibly unhealthiest, is some of the tastiest stuff on earth. Go. Just go and enjoy it.
(5)Karen S.
This place was alright. I will go back once in a blue moon. I thought that everything was very over priced for a so-so tasting meal. Pretty much the chef just added a bunch of sauce & garlic butter over the food to give it a unique taste. Of course because it was cooked in front of a grill, that charred taste was added which made it much better. They do cool tricks & use alcohol to light up the food which is pretty rad. But it's just for a short period of time. The portions of the meat selection isn't that big. Which I think is their way of making money. They serve soup & salad at first which kinda fills you up because you have about a 5 minute wait before one of the meats are served. Next was vegetables. It was pretty yummy. We ordered scallops & it wasn't a big portion. Next was the rice which was A LOT. Of course rice fills you up. I believe that the (fried) rice was the main course ha ha. Afterwards, our steak came out. We ordered medium-rare, but it was close to medium well-done. That's okay though. The steak was alright. It tasted like steak that my ma makes. Then ice-cream. It was regular Bryer's Ice Cream. They wil add a 5.00$ charge for a shared plate. (Dude, seriously!?) Also, it is a 3.00$ charge for fried rice. Dude to being in a shared-grill-enviroment, you pretty much have no choice but to dish out 3.00$ for someone else's choice. I thought that was boloney. Anyways. like the rating stars, I would give this place an "A-Ok". Not a once a week place, but maybe a once a month place to go with the family. If you do go, remember that you will be seated with another group of people because you are seated by the grills. So you will watch others' foods be cooked etc etc. Also, prepare to make small talk because you pretty are much sitting at a table with another family/person. So for those with social anxiety, be prepared. Taste: 7/10 Staff: 9/10 Price: 4/10 Seating: 7/10
(3)Chrystal Lea E.
Amazing food and service! One of my favorite places to go. Hibachi Chicken is a must!
(5)Hailey H.
This was my first time here and I will definitely becoming back. The staff here is excellent. Super friendly and hilarious. Thomas was our server and he was great! Peter was our chef and he was super engaged with our table and hilarious! The food was excellent, so glad I have left overs. Being a server myself, I am so impressed and give everyone there 5 stars all around.
(5)C B.
Food was good. Not bad of a show but its like any other shows you see when you have food cooked in front of you. Will try again....
(4)Kevin S.
A-OK. No significant complaints. It's similar to any other Japanese hibachi grill restaurant you'd find in any other city across America. Service was friendly and reasonably quick. Prices were high compared to other restaurants in Kitsap, but probably average for a Japanese steakhouse in any other city. They serve a beef and onion soup instead of the traditional miso soup you get in most other Japanese restaurants. I was disappointed they don't have a sushi bar, and also disappointed that they serve Pepsi products like every other restaurant on the Kitsap peninsula. I'm sure we'll go back some time. The food was delicious and the cook twirling his utensils and making the volcano out of the onion were entertaining. Like I said, A-OK.
(3)Dave C.
First off, this is not what I was expecting when I was invited to eat at a Japanese restaurant. It is one of those sit around the grill and watch the chef dazzle you with nonsense joints. I decided to give it a try anyway. We were greeted with a "server in training" and she definitely needed some training. The first round of drink orders were messed up and it was a long wait to get the servers back to fix it. I had a couple of easy questions about the menu which couldn't be answered by the server. The "chef" finally came to cook our meal after a leisurely wait of about an hour. He was okay, but it took awhile to start cooking the food and put it on our plates. We were really hungry at that point. In the meantime, everyone had finished their drinks and being served food; however, the server was nowhere to be found. The chef had to request twice that she come and refresh our drinks...the whole table was dry. The food turned out to be average; I had the "Samurai" which was a 14oz NYS...too bad I couldn't enjoy it with the rest of my meal because the vegetables would have been cold by the time I ate my steak. Bottom line: if you are looking for a REAL Japanese restaurant...this ain't the place. I don't think a Japanese person even works there. If you are looking for a mediocre show where they flip your food around, light it on fire and have a couple of hours to burn ( I am not exaggerating), then you might not be disappointed. I, for one, will not be returning. Silverdale, WA is hurting for good food.
(2)Heather J.
The service was good, but the chef was lack luster. My husband's salad was more like a soup of dressing topping what was mostly flavorless iceburg lettuce. The actual 'soup' was pretty much just salty broth with a sparce mushrooms and fried onions. I thought the fried rice was tasty. The shrimp was super salty, but seemed fresh. My salmon wasn't dry, but didn't have much flavor. Overall, good service and mediocre food.
(2)Beth K.
I always love Japanese Hibachi steak for my b-days so we visited Fujiyama this year. We are Navy so we've lived in 5 or 6 places and this is one of the more expensive hibachi restaurants, second only to Benihana. It was very good food. I'd recommend it. Our chef was great! One peculiar note: it was my birthday and my friend made me a cake. For us to eat it at the restaurant, they charged us a $10 cake fee! I thought that was riduculous! Another note: on your birthday, if you bring 5 paying guests w/you, you get the steak and chicken for free.
(4)Karli K.
Went here on our mini vacay to Silverdale. Glad we picked is out for our "fancy" dinner. We paid probably half what we would elsewhere for lobster and steak! Since we had our baby with us we went early and there was a happy hour. I had a super delicious cocktail that tasted just like apple cider. The staff was friendly.
(5)Bryan M.
Best available, and only, Japanese hibachi-style steakhouse in the Silverdale area. They offer a free birthday meal special of steak and lobster for the birthday boy or gal - just make sure it's exactly your special day since they check ID's! A bit pricey. Not a fan of paying extra for fried rice and I'm also not a big fan of asparagus with it either. Make sure you make a reservation or you could be waiting for a while.
(3)Stacy R.
We went for a graduation celebration. First, the bad- Made reservations for 8. When our party showed up, the hostess insisted that the reservations were for 9 and would not sit us until everyone showed up. Twenty minutes later someone else came out to the front and we told him that our whole party is present and were immediately seated. We order. The cook comes out and does a horrible job of cooking. First he slopped some sauces into little cups in front of us spilling it over the sides as if he was slopping pigs. He dropped a tray of meats so we had to wait even longer for someone to bring out fresh (assumingly) meat which was also the wrong amounts. One of our party had to wait about 10 minutes longer after everyone else was served to get her steak. The cook also was very sloppy in serving. Our area was a total mess with food dropped from the grill to the plates. I think it was rotten of them to have a hidden charge of $2 extra per plate for fried rice. Seems like a small thing but when you have 8 people, $16 makes a difference. Oh, and 2 were children who split a child's portion..still charged the $2 for each of them for fried rice. I'm not even going to mention the $2 charge for the extra empty plate. The onion soup that came with all our meals was bland and had what appeared to be a few pieces of Funyuns in the bottom. Everyone that had steak was disappointed by how much fat and gristle was in it. The good- The yum yum sauce, hibachi veggies and the chicken was good. Ordinarily good. Nothing really special about it. The waitress did keep everyone filled up on drinks. To sum up Fujiyama Japanese Steak House & Bar, I will NOT be returning. Too expensive and tricky for mediocre food and sloppy service. No thank you.
(1)Jane S.
A few years ago I'd give 4 stars. Unfortunately the last time I went I noticed the service was poor, the chef was decent but waitress rarely came by and we had to waive her down to get water refills. The part that bothered me the most was the steak quality. I'm not sure what happened but it appears that it is a cheaper quality of meat because it was very tough.. So the chicken and shrimp are still delicious and fried rice is tasty but way too much butter.
(3)Laura E.
The food is great and watching the meal be prepared is very entertaining. Be prepared to pay for it though.
(3)Natelee D.
Food was way to salty. When we complained they only did 15% off even though I didn't touch my food, nor did they offer to replace it.
(1)Colt W.
Drinks and food are good, but sitting in the bar next to some loudmouth off-duty employee is miserable. I really don't appreciate having her blow her stinky Vape pen smoke pretty much in my face. Maybe this is why most restaurants don't allow staff in the bar during peak hours....
(3)Alison V.
Let me start with the the fact I love Teppanyaki or hibachi or whatever you want to call it. I love the bad jokes. I love the entertainment during my meal. I just love it. My review may now be skewed slightly higher just because I love it that much. A friend and I treated ourselves to dinner here. We waited quite a bit for a table. I'd definitely suggest making reservations (if they do that) or coming a bit before you're starving. We decided to split the chicken and steak special for two since it was the most cost effective way to do it. And what is a good "date night" between friends whose husbands are deployed if you don't include sharing meals and items that are "for two?" The onion soup was good and didn't taste too much like it came from a packet, which I've experienced at other similar restaurants. The house salad was what was to be expected. The dressing was good. My dining companion doesn't eat seafood so she skipped the shrimp appetizer. I'm not a fan of hot shrimp so I tried one, and it was ok, but I really didn't get into eating a lot to comment. The vegetables and meat were cooked so well. The steak was super tender and the chicken had great flavor. I loved their dipping sauces and ate way too much here since it was all delicious. The fried rice was yummy too and not too soy saucy. The show was great. You get your typical egg break trick and onion volcano. The chef at our table had great personality and made our dinner great. I'd definitely suggest giving this place a try, but expect a kind of high bill. I think the dinner for two was around $25/person, but don't quote me on that.

Silverdale is on the come up! LOL I've been to this place twice so far. Once for a large bday dinner and for lunch with my sister this past weekend. The food has been great each time and the chef's are defininitely entertaining! The volcano trick with the onion never gets old to me. HAHA! Pricing is reasonable and pretty average for hibachi(?) meals $16-$25, but definitiely way cheaper than Benihana! The lunch specials are probably the best; for $10.95 you can get the basic hibachi chicken which includes a small bowl of their house soup, steamed rice, and mixed veggies. The service here can be hit or miss, but the overall experience was great. I would definitely come back here for another visit.

I was happy to find a Japanese steakhouse nearby. I love hibachi! It was a long wait, but the food was great! The soup and salad are yummy. I got hibachi steak and chicken and both were great! Huge amount of food. Don't eat lunch before you come. LOL They do let you use a "Kitsap Card" to save a few bucks.

I've had hibachi at a number of different places but Fujiyama's in Silverdale has been the most entertaining. Every so often we take over the bar, the happy hour is amazing. The staff & management are cool.

I grew up on an island far far away where once or twice a year, we splurged on Japanese steakhouse style fare - usually for birthdays or anniversaries. When I moved away from my tiny island, I was left with nothing but dreams of garlicky buttery shoyu-y soaked shrimp and steak. Imagine my elation when we moved out to the peninsula and found Fujiyama. The price was steep, but considering it's just as easy to spend the same amount of money at Silver City Brewery (our favorite Kitsap restaurant), we decided our 3 year anniversary was as good a time as any to try out this place. I can't count how many times we've been back since November of last year. We find excuses of any sort to go back. We've gone so far as to splurge for the surf and turf or filet mignon, and done the cheap of chicken hibachi. We order fried rice, extra sides of hibachi vegetables. You get the picture. My only complaint (but not enough to detract stars) is that they charge $2 for hot tea. WHO CHARGES FOR HOT TEA? Unless trained gorillas picked each individual leaf that were then transported on the backs of little fluffy bunnies to the mom and pop shop who has a fancy machine for bagging the yield, I don't see why I'm being charge for a tea bag that costs pennies. Times two, since two of us ordered hot tea. The last time we got tea, they gave us one pot that was refillable at no charge. Now they charge? Oh well. Lesson learned. Anyway, the service is always good, the food is always worth the money. I definitely recommend a reservation if you can manage it. You'd be surprised when they get busy!

We went here today as soon as they opened. We were number three in line and we were told we would have a 15 minute wait time because they didn't have anymore cooks. How is that possible? I don't think we will be going back.

The worst Japanese steakhouse I've ever been to. The service was incredibly slow (but very polite!). And the food was definitely sub par.

I came here for the first time yesterday during the super bowl because that is the best time to go anywhere. No one was around :p We were pretty much the only people there. Our servers were very attentive and bored due to the lack of customers. One nice server convinced me to listen to a Beyonce song after I said I don't dig her. I liked the song btw (Dance For You). I ordered the Salmon Hibachi and upgraded to the fried rice. My friend and I shared the dimsum as well. Our chef was funny and we enjoyed his knife tricks. The food was excellent! The Yum Yum sauce was addictive and you could seriously use it on anything. We took extra home haha. I plan on taking my mom here! Loved it!

I went there a couple weekends ago for dinner with my boyfriend. Every time I have come here the food is outstanding !! But this last time was even better than usual. Our waiter we had was AMAZING, he was a younger kid I think his name is Jeff, he was soooo nice and always made sure we had everything we needed. Even my drink never got empty. Every time I said thank you, he said you're welcome. And most people always just say "yeah" "no problem".. he really impressed me, so I hope this review reaches the manager and they take into consideration what a good server they have.

One of the best places to eat in Silverdale. This is our go-to place for any meal be it lunch or dinner- casual or a big birthday celebration! The wait staff is always very helpful and polite. And the chefs are amazing.. Dominic and Casey are our favorites! We always get the Chicken and Steak for two as it has the best deal. You get Onion Soup, Salad, your main course with Fried Rice(normally an extra $3) and ice cream for dessert for 47! For $15 you can join their VIP club and recieve 15% off your order every time you visit with no exp date. If you are planning to visit on a friday or Saturday night calling ahead and making reservations is recommended.. They can handle 1-2 people up to a party of almost 30 that we have been a part of.

Have eaten here a bunch of times. Normally no issues. This time we were told there would be a 20 min wait. No problem. The issue began when the waitress accidentally sat multiple groups that arrived well after us. She apologized we figured no big deal. We were told we would be seated in a minute. Almost 30 minutes later we were seated. No apology from a manager. They don't have enough staff during busy periods. Stick to lunch here it's a better deal and the service is way better.

This place sucked. I have been to better places then this. I lived in Japan for 9 yeas and this is the worst hibachi place that I have been The chefs hibachi heat level was too high and the meat, vegetables and fried rice was cooked to quickly. I am used to the chef explaining what was going into preparing the food. He did not say a word. The food was mass cooked. Not flavorful at all. Zero stars if I could. I have had better food then this at a hibachi place.

Came in here with two work buddies one night while staying in the area. We sat at the bar since there was a wait for regular tables, which was fine by us since we weren't there for the show anyways. Avary was the bartender and entertained us well. She even let me change the channel! The Shrimp hibachi was great. I loved the super yum yum unicorn sauce they served as well as the ginger pineapple chuck norris sauce. Nicely cooked shrimp, tons of veggies, and tasty rice. Exactly what I was expecting for a great after-work dinner. This place is a little tricky to find, but sadly for you I can't give you any tips, though it's right next to a bunch of other japanese-ish restaurants on the same side of the street as Toy's'rus.

Welp yelp the beers are great cold refreshing and well priced bar tender was great good conversation Becca was on point very fast with are orders beer drinks and food let us know it was happy hour and we ordered more .... Great job and thank you Becca .... Her manager dawn on the on the other hand was awful she was rude when asked questions she made smart comments while at the register and kept doing anything other than serving us there were 4 in our party later tried to be nice but had turned us all off of wanting to be served by her let alone be in the same part of the restaurant .... Tried to pull he aside and figure out how to correct what had happened but she acted as if it was my fault I pay the bill that pays her wages!
