We went after the lunch rush (11-1) but it was still pretty busy. Ive been to a lot of buffets and this one was one the bottom half of my list. Like most buffets, the service is fine. The food was cleared and drinks were refilled pretty quickly. The two problems I have with this place are: -the cleanliness: I first went into the bathroom to clean my hands and ended up getting dirtier going out of the bathroom than when I first went in. One of the toilets was clogged and had a nice present in it. It smelled awesome. -the good was okay, almost bad. There were a few good things like the rice, chicken, beans, fries, etc but the rest of it was bad.

Very 'hit and miss'. Some of my family / friends like eating here on a regular basis (monthly), so I tag along. Some of the food is really good, but there are times when the bins are empty, and they don't get filled as frequently as they should. Replacing the spoons every once in awhile would be helpful too, as they get handled often and can get nasty. The staff is super-friendly, but take sani-wipes as the bathrooms are NOT clean. Their prices are reasonable, but don't come to this place if you're trying to impress someone. You'll make an impression, but probably not the one you're aiming for.

This restaurant used to have decent food, but like so many other Asian buffets, it has gone cheap and gotten sloppy. Last time I went there (at lunch) most of the food was cold, and tasted bland. I mentioned this to the gentleman at the cash register and he could care less. Despite dropping $40.00 we walked out rather than eat reheated leftovers from the previous day. Avoid this place. I am surprised it is still open.

I ended up stopping by not too long ago, looking for some cheap, AYCE. It was pretty mediocre, but let's be honest. If you're expecting straight-out-of China cuisine, you should probably reevaluate your life. The sticky rice was probably the best item on this list, and for what you pay for, it was pretty good. Moist, but was definitely left out for a while. Unfortunately, they only refill their portions at set times (though I don't remember which times specifically).

I went to the Super Chinese Buffet today for lunch and must say that there is nothing super about it. The selection of actual Chinese food was poor and most of it was pretty bland. This is probably the worst Chinese buffet I've ever been too.

I went here because of a coupon included in the mail. This was a bad decision. The other reviews may claim that this is like old country buffet or any similar chinese buffet, I think not. As you enter there is an odd smell, maybe the disinfectant they use. The foot is sub par. Just horrible. The desserts were stale and old, and an ice cream mess that looked like it had been there for most of the day. Even with the coupon it was only 8 bucks. Still not worth the price.

Okay, since I try to be a positive person, I'm going to dig really deep and find one or two positive things to say. First of all, the variety was definitely there - tons of foods to choose from, and even a "Mongolian Grill" option. The other thing is that my boyfriend thought the food was okay. He is much less a food snob than I. So, I decided to go for the dim sum selections. The shu mai was disgusting - it was a bizarre texture and not very flavorful. The buns were funky - I'm not even sure what was in the middle - something orange that may have been a custard or something. They also had sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves, which were terrible - there was a red bean paste that was haphazardly poured onto a bland, library paste that I think was rice, but I'm still not really sure. Next, I tried this stuff called coconut chicken, which was almost tasty, but had a terrible, gooey texture. I went back to get potstickers, and it was so obvious they were frozen and the insides were totally watery. I also tried to the oysters - what did they do to those poor mollusks? They lost all their dignity to a bed of cheesy slop and a lot of salt. I thought I'd just consumed a whole shaker of salt! Finally, the one thing I didn't think could ever taste bad; fortune cookie. It was so gross, I had to spit it out into my napkin. Picture if you will, foam core board infused with sugar. It was disgusting, and I'm a HUGE fortune cookie fan. For the amount of money we spent on lunch, I'm was really expecting something much better. I really try to remain positive in all my reviews, but this one was a bit of a challenge. So, in two words -- NEVER AGAIN!

Food was good, Mongolian barbecue was flavorless the cooks didn't add seasonings to it just throw it on the grill. Lots of choices, even some American for the kids that don't want Chinese. Service was good though, I'll go back.

Super China Buffet is the queen of buffets in Seattle. True, there is as much food on the floor as on your plate. True, someone dropped a large crab claw in the hot and sour soup and the staff has not removed it 1/2 an hour later. And true, people hover like vultures around carrion for the clams, crawfish and fried crab. But hey -- this place is the real deal. Cheap food that tastes ok. Not breaking any culinary boundaries, but then again, it is a buffet. You're looking for quantity over quality, and yes, here my friends, you will find such a ratio. Admittedly I have been here many times. Why? Is it the General Tsao's chicken smothered in the river of gooey sauce? The garlic eggplant dripping with oil? The boiled beef ribs doused playfully with BBQ sauce? No! Of course not! It is the ambiance! Real down to earth people just eating to their hearts content. I love coming here because of the diversity of people. I just love it. What can I say -- I grew up in the SF Bay Area, lived in LA and moved up here. I miss my people of color. But I found them. Here at Super China Buffet. Sorry to wax sentimental... Dinner prices have slightly increased to around $11-12 per person, but its still a deal when you can stuff your face to your hearts content among people who may as well be your family.

The name explains everything .... Its super china buffet. The variety is massive on every section ( appetizers, meals, desserts, salads, rolls and more.) you can also do Mongolian style meal here. Food here is nothing special. Most of the foods are deeply fried and the freshness in the food is almost none. If you are in the area for quick and cheap lunch this might be the best bet for Chinese food.

Can't really expect much from a chinese buffet. Their selection was wide yet limited to what you really want sometime. With the average price of about $11 a person can't really complain. Man i miss the buffets in Vegas!

Gross!!!! Threw up after because the food was so oily....but super super cheap

  • Mindy T.

It's incredibly cheap. It can go down to around $7 for weekday lunches if I'm remembering right.. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. The food is nothing special. Half of it is deep fried in a stiff batter and most of the food looks like it has been sitting around all day. The sushi is disgusting, and the 'dim sum' is.. not dim sum. I had the sticky rice that is wrapped in leaves and the flavor was so.. wrong.. it was nasty. but.. you don't come here looking for 5 star cuisine. You come here looking to stuff yourself, and for that this is a good place at a good price. One thing that is pretty great: the ice cream! soft serve ice cream, as much as you want. Mhmmmm. (I don't really want to think about how gross the machine is though..)

Man, in my time Yelping I don't ever think I have witnessed a place take such a turn for the worse. I know it has been 3 long, recession-plagued years Super China, but come on. Just close your doors on Sundays and Mondays or something. What I experienced on a run-of-the-mill Monday evening was beyond embarrassing. It was downright DREADFUL. My wife wouldn't even eat. I spent most of my time picking at your green beans (which, surprisingly were still great) & munching on a few fried products. It was very evident that the food we had before us had been sitting out WAY too long and that made that evening's spontaneous visit even more depressing. Great, we decided to gamble on salmonella tonight too. It's sad to see this once great, bountiful buffet go to the wayside. This use to be a favorite of my old roommate and I's when it was time to get some serious Asian-food grubbing on! Now it is a sad relic that was unable to survive the test of time. Don't waste your money- this place has gone downhill QUICK.

My wife used to work near there so it was a convenient place to meet for lunch. At first the food was mostly OK but gradually declined. We got really sick the last three times we ate there and decided that was too much for coincidence. In retrospect the second time should have been enough of a clue. Live and learn.

Nothing to write home about, but if you like buffets, this place is okay. The quality has decreased a fair bit over the years, but you can still find a few bright spots in the choices. The sushi is always fresh and pretty good. In addition to the buffet they have a Mongolian Grill area with plenty of nice choices.

Super China Buffet seems like a good idea, then I am reminded why I do not enjoy this place a few hours later..... several large buffet islands and one large buffet counter with make your own stirfry and fried rice make up this place. the food always seems to have been sitting around for a while, even at noon? They have a large selection of asain foods even sushi and pizza, all of which is somewhat substandard. I have had better sushi at Central Market! I hope I don't make it back here again.

Yikes! On an adventourous whim, my little surrogate "niece" and I decided to try this; she being a sushi lover, a good eater in general, and from a home with two real "foodies" as parents who would never allow such a place; me, being a "fluffy" gal who knows how to put it down at a buffet and is usually up to try new things anytime. Let's just say if I had to eat here every day, I'd be model-anorexic thin! Not fresh, not even identifiable, dirty seats and glasses. The one thing semi-edible for me was the crab rangoon-although I'm convinced it was frozen. Waiter services was just ok-had to keep asking for water, napkins, etc. Lots of folks got the crab legs, which I don't care for. My girl seemed to enjoy the sushi well enough, but agreed most everything else, including the steamed rice, just tasted off and icky.

Please note that this is a buffet. It's only fair to compare it with other buffets rather than comparing it with a la cart restaurants. That said, it deserves a 4-star. Very reasonable price, depending on lunch or dinner; weekdays versus weekends. Of course, the focus is Chinese dishes with a small portion of sushi. Surprisingly, there are excellent seafood dishes that normally you have to pay a higher price: crab, oyster, steam fish, prawn, etc. In general, all dishes are good to very good. There is also a Mongolian wok which the chef will cook to your order. On the other hand, the American salad bar is decent. Desert includes pastry, cake and ice cream. The service is friendly. The place is clean.

The food was as good as you would expect at a Chinese buffet. A reasonable selection, but nothing outstanding. But for $14.30/person? Hmmm. Some aspects to this place really pushed my buttons. I haven't given a one star review for a long time, but by golly I'm gonna do it right now. Upon arrival, I noticed that trash was strewn all around the exterior of the restaurant. Inside the foyer, where there were the usual racks of free newspapers and real estate pamphlets, papers and trash were tossed everywhere. What a complete frickin' mess! The owners should be ashamed. I should have left right then and there, but I was so famished I dared to enter anyway. Well, I wouldn't have even been here if Todai's in Redmond hadn't bit the dust (and when did that happen anyway?) There was only one other customer besides me. Lots of restaurant employees milling around though. After about five minutes, despite an empty restaurant, a blank-faced girl finally noticed me. She attempted to seat me at a small table in a dark cramped corner. I told her I was going to sit at a larger table, and she didn't object. When I first went out onto the floor to load up my plate, I noticed that only about a quarter of the bins in the hot tables were filled. Most of them empty. I'm thinking, what?! But I was able to satisfy my initial hunger pangs by eating fruit from the salad bar. When I came back several minutes later, workers had brought out more food, so the selection looked better. As is typical in Chinese buffets, here you self-serve your food, but you must rely in the waitstaff for beverages and refills. Well, as I made a couple more trips to the buffet, my empty plates piled up on the table and the waitress never came back to check up on me. And I wanted more water, gol' darn it! I got up and walked around the corner and, lo and behold, there was my waitress sitting at a table and eating. I asked her if I could get a refill. She got up, and in a few minutes, finally came back and sullenly refilled my water glass. What amazed me was that the focus of the workers at this restaurant was getting their meal and ignoring customers, as well as neglecting the restaurant's appearance. That's so wrong.

Judging by the negative reviews of others, my partner and I ate here on an exceptional day. The food was very good, the staff was extremely accommodating, there was ample parking, and the interior was super clean. The only negatives we could detect were the somewhat messy exterior (litter) and the slightly dirty restroom (red flag). Have a great day/ evening! ;-)

Almost embarrassed to review and let people know I actually ate here. We were really behind schedule and the first two places did not pan out, ended up here out of desperation and overwhelming hunger. so yes, the variety is there but most things were just too scary to put on my plate. The fried rice was the only fresh thing there and it was not bad. I took a piece of chicken and swear to you that it was ice cold by the time I got back to my seat (it was the first thing I braved to bite into). I told the lady and she said "I know, we are closing and I turned the heat off" (granted it was 8:40pm when we arrived but they are supposed to be open until 10. Also, last I heard restaurants are required to maintain proper holding temps for buffet items. I did not even dream of trying the "salmon" which was really white so may have been trout. The best thing there was the sesame balls for dessert with the bean paste inside. Not much else to report here.

When we discovered this place, I was full on like a dog wagging its tail in human form, completely savage-like. I wasn't actively looking for any chinese buffets, and was really happy when I found this. It's like $10 all you can eat. I really, really missed the chinese buffet we had in town when I lived in the midwest. There is so much variety here!!!!!!!!!!!! Like 5 buffet sections! This review is based on my first time there, so it may or may not change the few times around, I'll update my review if yes. Lots of seafood, some sushi, yummy noodles, mongolian broccoli beef, deserts, raw fish, and I didn't throw up afterwards! When I saw hot and sour soup, I was sold.

Chinese buffets are my guilty pleasure. If asked, I will deny ever having eaten in one. Super China Buffet is less super than it is mild-mannered. The food is decent quality for buffet-style food. The cleanliness is good, except for the restrooms. The staff is catatonic, but somehow attentive as well. To ensure fresh food, you need to get there at the prime meal hours; 11:30am-1:30pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. The rest of the time it gets pretty stale. I watched a lady eat from her plate while in the buffet line and no one said anything, even though they clearly saw her. The hygeine of the bathroom is the equivelent of your average gas station. If I must use them, I do not wash my hands afterwards since I figure that my genitals are far cleaner than anything I would have to touch in that petri dish of a restroom.

Its not so Super! I love buffets so my boyfriend heard about this buffet from a co-worker & decided to take me there since it was lent friday. We called to find out what time they closed since i arrived to WA late. The person who answered said 10pm was their close time. We get there and their sign said 9:30pm, which gave us 20 minutes to eat! I spoke to the hostess about the call we made in and how we were informed it was to close at 10pm. She informs me that they stop serving their customer at 9:30pm, but we are free to stay until 10pm....this is so not true! Since we drove 20 minutes to get there we decided to stay and get as much food as possible. However, within 10 minutes of arriving they started pulling their food away (this is about 9:20). One of the waiter was kind enough to tell us that they left the salad bar available for us for another 5 minutes if we wanted any. I was not pleased by this because I felt it was misleading to what the call in stated and what the hostess informed us. ..grrrr! The seasoning of their food is not pleasing to me. Majority of their seafood is covered in mayonnaise and is either overcooked or over seasoned! I felt the selection wasn't impressive compared to other buffets and the fact that the soda was an additional charge didn't make their buffet any better than most. Their dessert selection is extremely small. However, their "fresh" fruits had a decent variety, very similar to most. Their sushi could be better and the staff could be more attentive rather than focusing on eating. I was amazed by the lack of service i was getting and i know that since i did get their late I didn't make a huge huff about it. However, the "highlight" of the night was that my boyfriend started feeling ill within 10mins of eating. As we were leaving he started to vomit outside! I'm not sure if its the quality of seafood or that he all of a sudden started having a allergic reaction to seafood, which isn't the case since we went to another buffet the following day. It definitely had to be the quality of the seafood! Either way, its important that if you serve seafood, you ensure that the seafood is fresh and hasn't been dead for awhile & that you don't continue to serve it to your customer. I was not pleased by their service, selection of food and the cleanliness of the place. I will definitely not come back!

This is my favorite China Buffet hands down. The service is always friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the food is decent. Not great, but decent. Definitely a great spot for lunch if you're in the area.

I enjoyed this place. I found a variety of choices. I have tried quite a bit of Asian buffett's in the Puget Sound area to be below expectations. Especially the King Buffett in Burien, yuck-pukesgiving. My husband and I really enjoyed the variety of seafood and side dishes. They had oyesters, a mix of shrimps, scallops, langastines, salmon , cod and clams. They had a decent sized desert station and a sushi station. I didn't try the sushi, but it look o.k. The price was wonderful as well. I'm glad we are moving to the Northgate area, we'll be alot closer to it.

Some reviewers seem to have missed that is place is called Super China Buffet and charges $11.40 (on a Saturday) for all-u-can-eat shrimp, crab legs, clams, mussels, squid and a host of other foods. Of course the food isn't great. Of course some of the servers are indifferent teenagers. What else could you expect? It's perfectly clear from the time you pull into the parking lot that you're not about to walk into Salty's. In the realm of inexpensive Chinese buffets, this is a four-star place. Shellfish are the real draw. Do you like run-of-the-mill snow crab legs? You can cram yourself full of them for $11. That deserves commendation as far as I'm concerned. Alongside the decent seafood selection are a variety of mediocre hot dishes, a tasty stir-fry station, humdrum sushi, a couple soups, substandard kimchi, and deserts. Never mind all of that, though. Skip it and go for the seafood. Extra credit for the chili paste in the buffet. They even have jalapenos en escabeche. No need to bring your own hot sauce to flavor underspiced food. Just keep in mind that you're only paying a couple bucks more than you would to eat a godawful meal at Old Country Buffet. The food is abundantly better here, and there aren't any kids sticking their hands in the spaghetti. Really, if you're looking for an affordable all-you-can-eat situation, Super China Buffet is a fine choice.

  • N. R.

Why are you guys complaining? $11 for all-you-can-eat and you're the one complaining? You should know what you're getting into when you walked into this place. Don't expect gourmet. It's a buffet for Christ's sake. As for me? I'm loving the deal. Huge selections where you can dive into and they replenish the buffets often enough. I didn't end up waiting. They have sushi, Chinese food, Mongolian grill, desserts, soups, some western dishes also. As I said, HUGE selections! Bigger than other Chinese buffets I've ever been to. Aside from the okay-tasting food, it's quite salty. So have your water ready. Don't order anything else for drinks 'cause that's where they'll rip you off.

Very rarely does one truly detest any food they eat. Super China Buffet i'm sorry, on a scale from 1 to 10, you still get a 1. On a scale from 1 to 100, you get a 2. I would never eat this food again, even if it was free, which it was. Every single item that I grabbed was inedible, well.....besides the cakes which is most likely from Costco. Clams, sand in them still couldn't chew it. Fried Chicken, I proceeded to take a bite and when the juices touched my tongue, I immediately canceled the completion of my first bite. My friend and I compared it to the seasoning packs from instant noodles were used to season this piece of meat. I mean, even if you do not season fried chicken, it still tastes fine. What impels a person to unload such an excessive amount of MSG onto any sort of dish? This I do not understand. I am Chinese, I grew up in the restaurant biz and am still in it. BUT I do not use MSG in any of my cookings, unless it is already contained in the bottled sauces which is a very minute amount. I felt like I had MSG poisoning afterwards, I was sleepy, and felt like shit. Super China Buffet.....you are a waste of completely good commercial space. On a funnier note, This is a Chinese restaurant and even their white rice sucked.

This is not a bad place but satisfaction depends on what you are looking for. It's really great if you don't know what to order because it's a buffet. There is quite a bit of food. If there is a person in your group or family that doesn't like Chinese food, there's some non-Chinese food there (lots of deserts, some fish, some shrimp, etc.) The place is not extremely fancy but is not a dump, either. Some days (weekends?) they have seafood days, which means more king crab, occasionally chopped up lobster, etc. They always have some seafood, mainly shrimp, at least during the half a dozen times that I was there. If you're looking for an expensive and fancy restaurant, this is not the place. Once, one person in our party just ate and did not want to eat at the buffet. That person ordered a dish from the menu. I think few people do that. He ordered some noodle dish, something more typical of a non-buffet. Funny, they didn't have that dish in the buffet. In our family, there's one person that just loves this place and would probably give it 5 stars. I give it 3. It's not a bad place at all. It is moderately good, in my opinion. Of the many dishes in the buffet, I like about 30% of it but that is enough to fill my stomach (on the other hand, I dislike only about 15% of their food). The best Chinese food in the region is Vancouver, B.C. It's far more expensive there. If money is not an issue, this place doesn't compare. If the cost and volume of food available is factored in, this restaurant becomes far more competitive. For Shoreline, this is a good restaurant.

Chinese Buffets seem to be making a huge comeback in WA state, there are 2 new ones opening up by my house in Everett. China Buffets are extremely popular in the state of Maine, and the only Chinese food to be found was in buffet form. That said, there were many decent China Buffets in New England. I came here twice with my family, they have a decent selection of items, however, much of the food is unsurprisingly bland. I wouldn't get anything from the salad bar, it was really not good. I did like the selection of dumplings and dim sum and the fried dishes were all a-ok. I strayed away from the seafood, it seemed kinda iffy. We haven't been back here for a couple years, maybe their quality has gone up? Maybe ill have to give it one more shot sometime, for lunch, it seems to be a good deal.

My belief is that a good chinese buffet is worth its weight in gold, but that there are very few that exist (and I have not found a really good one in the Seattle area). This place has food that makes Panda Express seem a little high end. I did not try to the seafood that they were pushing, I was not that brave. If are looking for good chinese, go elsewhere.

We went there on Christmas for dinner, being too tired and lazy to cook and knowing that it was open, unlike most other places. The place, overall, is just sad. It's very industrial and barely lives up to the standards of a good cafeteria, but not as clean or well-maintained as some I've seen. There's a pretty large selection of food (hope you like things that are fried!) and for that it gets a second star, but most of it seems to have lived in a frozen bulk bag in its initial stages. Service is minimal, and a pot of weak tea costs $2.45, which must be how they stay in business. For the money (I think the xmas dinner was $13/person) there are dozens of better choices. If the grocery store had been open I'd have been happier with their deli food. I'd avoid this place unless you're very hungry for greasy fried foods - and perhaps a little drunk. Couldn't hurt.

It's expensive on weekends. I really don't think it's worth the price unless you go on weekdays when it's only like $11/person. Service: It is a buffet. Hence, self-serve. They have quite the number of employees running around. Okay, they're not running around--because if they were, they would've picked up empty plates from our table in a timely manner. Instead, they basically just stood around and did nothing. One of the waitresses was consistent in refilling tea, water and soda, but most of the time, we emptied our own dishes and tossed them in the bin for wash. And they still charged us a hell of a lot of tip on the bill. Well, gee. That just seems so far. *note the heavy sarcasm. Food: There's not a very great selection. And like any buffet, the quality of the food definitely doesn't match up to the quantity. There wasn't anything real special to eat. If you're going to go here, you better love seafood, because that's about the only thing that ever makes my dinners or lunches there worth it. I just came back from eating dinner there with my family. The bill was insanely high. But we ate a hell of a lot of oysters. I hate oysters, but the ones they make here are so delicious, even I ended up eating at least half a dozen alone. And then seven other plates of food and a mini one of desserts. Most of their stuff's pretty greasy, so I wouldn't suggest coming here often unless you want to increase that waist band size and get high cholesterol. But once in a while, it's good to indulge a little. There are definitely places better than this though. Once every few months is what I'd suggest for coming here. Maybe even just a couple times a year, because most of their stuff's mediocre. But if they can make me love oysters, that's saying something about their seafood. Just don't touch the mini crabs. Those don't taste very good.

Oh Gross. It only gets an extra star because, from what I can tell so far, they were true to their advertising and don't use MSG (No migraine the day after, and I didn't taste it). The ONLY reason we went here was that I'm getting my food allergens tested, and I need to taste a number of foods from a list before they take blood. I thought this was a good place to kill a lot of birds with one stone, so to speak. They disappointed me with a lack of crab, but I'd say I got about 5 foods taken care of. Plus, it's not far from our house, and Chris and I have always been curious (it's always PACKED on the weekends when we do our grocery shopping at the Central Market nearby). There is a good variety, but the food's just not very good. Even the jello was bad, and it's hard to screw up jello. Most things were WAY overcooked; the salmon was inedible, the sushi was bland, and almost every dish was mismarked. Good thing I can tell a baby squid from Pepper Chicken! I would guess there were ten trays of fried food. The Crab Rangoon was weird - like crab sponge on a claw? The cream cheese wontons were actually good but not even something I should be eating. All this was NOT helped by the young couple next to us who were fully making out while the boyfriend took a break only to marathon belch in his girlfriend's ear. Super gross. Chris was about to say something but you could tell the guy was such a mannerless punk that it wasn't going to do much. Yuck. The total bill for a Tuesday night was around $24. That's not so bad. I think we paid twice that for the buffet at Northgate. We're officially banned from buffets now until we go to Disneyworld, where I'm sure the belching will be kept to a minimum.

This place just was not very good. Half of the food was cold, and the dessert cakes all had a nasty aftertaste. It was also very greasy (I have had similar food with much less grease). The only one of these types of places I've been too that was absolutely fabulous was Lychee Buffet up in Bellingham. So I use that for comparison, and by comparison, this place sucked. Oh, and Lychee Buffet is cheaper too.

I have ate a lot of chinese buffets in my lifetime (with family friends) and this was just nothing special! (i think all chinese buffets are almost the same).. but anyways, i guess they have the regular noodles and rice and everything but ive been to chinese buffets that had the same stuff but a lot more better variety!

I've been going to this buffet for about 4 years now and the great thing about it is they actually have great consistency with their food quality. The menu never changes, but I like to stick to what I like. They have a mini mongolian grill station with a few ingrediants and couple of meats. I love having this station, and I always cook up a plate of the grill before I dig into the rest of the buffet. The food is average quality, just as you would expect from a buffet. They occasionally have some of the good stuff empyty for a good 10-15 mins before replenshing it but its ok, there is always something else you can pile on. Overall a great place to pig out at very reasonable prices.

  • Sean M.

The food is greasy and seems to be haphazardly placed in the warming trays. Any number of the dishes didn't match what was in the pan. Otherwise its an above average Chinese Buffet place (Its more of an Asian Buffet, but I won't get into that) with a higher then average price. If you come for lunch their Mongolian grill isn't on but they still have sushi available (such that it is...)

It's OK of you want to fill up on salty pseudo-Asian food. Kids under 5 (I think) are free -- or at least cheap. But whatever you do, don't, please don't, pick up any of those beheaded baby octopi just because you think they're funny. I'll never eat there again.

Well, we used to enjoy going here occasionally, but now it seems that the owners have been overworking and underpaying their workers. We will not be going back. Shame on them.

We come here if we're hungry enough, or feel like grazing on variety. The food isn't anything to write home about, but there are hits and misses. When they have Ginger Crab, and it's good, you can certainly expect it to run out quickly, or the salt, pepper, and jalapeno shrimp. It kinda irks me when I see people pile it on their plate a mile high. It may be a all you can eat, but c'mon atleast let others in on it. Especially us. LOL! We don't do the clams anymore, we both had bad experiences with it. The soups are not the best, but egg flower is the best out of all. Sushi is alright, but it is a chinese buffet joint, mind you. They also have a lot of fried items, the usual, and to some, unusual. They have a salad-cold bar. I have never made a salad here. It looks meh to me. Though the kim-chee is pretty good. The mussels are very bland and flavorless, the shrimp is ok, just make sure to get lots of cocktail sauce. Overall the foods are ok, this buffet is very hit and miss. Some of the times we went it was good, but others eh....You can tell whether stuff has been left out sitting for a long time, especially seafood. So I urge you to use your best judgment before shoving it down your gullet. Service is ok as well. the staff are good with refilling drinks and clearing plates usually, but when it gets busy, expect to get ignored a bit. Popular items are not always replenished either, you might have to wait a while or at times they don't bring it out at all after it;s done. The bathrooms are ok, I wish people would get into the habit of flushing more. I just hope they're washing their hands. Avoids peak times during the weekends, unless you like to compete for food. You can usually tell by the parking lot. Prices aren't too bad. To sum it up, this place is eh...ok.

If you like Chinese buffets and seafood, I suppose that this is THE place for you. The place is always crowded, especially after Church masses are over, because everyone really just heads here. And with all the traffic, it also means that the place can get quite dirty. Pieces of crab shell on the carpet, anyone? They have a fairly large selection when it comes to food, and have lots of rooms for patrons. They can also accommodate parties upwards of 200 people, provided that you call ahead. They have at least 3 different kinda of crabs here (dungeness, snow, and king), several shrimp dishes, clams, and CRAWFISH. If that's what you're in for, make sure you watch the people restocking carefully, they go FAST. I think the seafood itself makes it a bargain to come here at $11-$12 a person. (It's also funny watching my mom scolding over the fact that people don't know how to peel their crawfish right. Ha.) The salmon, though, is a little disappointing with the dryness. The dim sum area is pretty decent. The cakes for dessert are also rather dry, but the rest is quite alright. I like the regular fare of mushrooms, bok choy, beef and chicken dishes, etc. Some of the items are just oily enough that even your soda starts to taste a little oily. There is also a breaded/fried foods section as well as a Mongolian Grill. To note: Say NO to the sushi here. I had a couple, and had to spit it back out. That was just disgusting.

My rating is taking into account that this is an Asian buffet; not fine dining. Does anyone think the prices are too high? For lunch it's only $8.00 with tax and that's not too shabby. A lot of the things that sound great I'm kind of afraid to eat for various reasons, like the attractive looking mountain of mussels sitting on ice (red tide) or the shrimp (many scary microbes) although they looked good...the mongolian grill (meat looks like it's been sitting around a LOOOONG time; and also appears freezer burned-yuk). The steamed whole fish (tiny little flounders of some sort) tasted distinctly muddy to me. Ew. I also have fears of soft-serve ice cream machines after hearing something on the news years ago about how they NEVER get cleaned and are breeding grounds for more nasties than you can shake a stick at...however I still eat that crap. I love it with mandarin oranges and I think that if you can't enjoy a simple pleasure like soft serve you might as well crawl into a hole and chew on bark. So I risk it. Okay enough about stuff I am scared of. The sticky rice wrapped in lotus in the steamers is really good...chock full of shiitake mushrooms. They are small which is nice. Weird little seafood/black fungus thingies wrapped in god knows what forming little yellowish tubes next to the shumai (so-so) were really tasty. No, I don't know what they are called. If you see something in the dim sum type area that looks sort of like tiny, jaundiced, flaccid penises, that might be them. Mmmmmm. The deep fried egg rolls were awesome, dammit. I ate two of those little bastards with red chili. The green beans kicked all the ass there is, perfect. Also good, the baby bok choy. Hot and sour, not bad at all with a little soy. Wish they had hot chilis in oil! The pepper chicken is mainly a place to get a nice wad of jalapenos to eat with other things. The actual chicken is dryish. The general Tso's isn't half bad...but the best thing about it is the dragon claw chilis in it. These get taken pretty quick...I bet mostly by people who don't even eat them. I do. Mmmmm again. There are a LOT of interesting things here and you DON'T need to get a lot of deep fried crap. It's amazing how many people come eat here and their plates are a sea of brown. I ate a whole lotta veggies and I'm sure I still exceeded my calorie count for the DAY. Oh, and sushi? I want to know who will eat sushi here...cause I sure won't. My server was a super sweetie and he made me fall in love with him when I swear to god he started humming a little Chinese folk song of some sort...it was like an angel was singing and I almost dropped a mushroom out of my mouth like an r-tard. Anyway. It's fun people watching and where else can you enjoy tiny squares of cake shipped from some factory? It's amazing how it doesn't even really taste like food. Super fun!

Yum, this my absolute favorite Asian buffet ever, my entire family loves it too! We've even came on birthdays, and when my husband's family visits from Mexico City this is the place they love to frequent the most! The food itself is hands down 4 star quality, and totally yummy. As with all buffets, try to come right when the lunch or dinner starts, as you'll be guaranteed the freshest dishes, being about 44 pounds lighter I'm not used to eating huge quantaties of foods anymore (maybe my stomach shrank? lol). But if you're in the mood for a whole bunch great selections to choose from and want to binge to your heart's content, then I say this is the place for you! I'm in love with their sushi, and last week at their selection for Saturday night I hit the sushi jackpot with Super China Buffet, I was in pure sushi heaven as a matter of fact. If you go for the food and not any gimmicks or flare this is the place for you, Drawbacks for some may be it's not anywhere close to being glamourous inside, Interiors and especially the bathrooms feels like you're in the middle of an unremodeled steakhouse from 1968, and they have WAYYY too many employees standing around watching your food intake at the stations, I was so close to saying something when it literally felt like he was counting how many pieces of sushi I was getting, almost as if the more food you were "taking" the less profit they were getting. Two other things that don't sit well with me about them, the drama getting refills on your drinks! Since most people are too shy to stress they want refills, luckily I am politely shameless and walk right up to the soda station and have them fill it for me right then and there, because if you wait until they actually come you will *never* get a refill. You can tell the men there don't like women being so in your face about stuff like that, and insist they'll bring it back to you, but I'm blunt and tell them no, just please refill it, hand it back to me, and I return to my seat. After all, the customer is always right! The *only* other inconsistent situation is the removal of the plates. sometimes they pile up for days, then other times the waiters are on them like white on rice. A handful of times I've returned to my table to find missing places that still had food I had intended on eating, grrr how annoying is that?! So in closing, I *definitely* recommend this place strictly for the good buffet-quality food, but NOT the service... don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the staff is mean or rude, but due to significant differences in culture, things and situations can be often quite inconsistent, and I shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable when asking for a refill on coke or pepsi soda, because as with ALL buffet food, it will make you extremely thirsty due to the large amount of spice and salt they add not just for taste but to preserve the food itself! Food for a buffet: 4 stars

You know it's an extensive Chinese buffet when churros are part of the line up. Also included are a mongolian grill, a frozen yoghurt machine and about 4 rows of varying asian food; some japanese, a few meats, plenty of veggies, etc. The buffet it a madhouse, so reservations are a must. It is rumored to be the largest buffet in the Northwest, so grab your expandable pants and head up to Aurora! Note: Buffet is about 9$ w/out drinks, and if you look in The Stranger there is usually a coupon for 10-20% off.

I'm not a fan of Chinese buffets and I go to great lengths to avoid them. But I'm not going to be rude or overbearing if I'm part of a group that chooses to go to a Chinese buffet. How come wherever you go the food is always the same? Is there some processed food factory that mass produces this bastardized cuisine and packages it in big plastic bags to be warmed and placed in a chaffing dish under heat lamps? This place is a wasteland of crappy food. I picked up a plate and walked through all of the islands and came back with some orange segments and two crab rangoons. The sushi is crap, the soup is slop, the entrees are greasy and over-cooked, even the fresh fruit is icky! Then there is the random stuff...tater tots? pizza? jello? at a Chinese restaurant? Really, where do they even get this bunkum? It's really not there fault. There is a market for this stuff. Some people really seem to enjoy it. I think I'm just going to have to assert myself more in the future. Live and let live, you know?

I have to confess several things: (1) I love Chinese food (2) Have a very hearty appetite (work out 6x a week at the gym) (3) Don't like cooking (4) Believe in good value, hard work, thrift, and so forth (5) Am a guy (6) Don't like to spend time looking at a menu and having to decide So, this place is wonderful in my opinion. Granted, it may not be fine Chinese cuisine per se, but holy cow! It's a great deal! No waiting around (unless it's a weekend evening and there's a crowd) or having to think about which dishes to order (and having to narrow the list down to two or three). If you don't like a particular dish, or if it has been sitting out on the warming plate longer than you'd prefer, get the dish next to it! Also, they're CONSTANTLY bring out steaming, piping hot dishes from the kitchen (at least when I've been there). The best Chinese food I've ever had in Seattle was at a small restaurant in the I.D. that is no more, the Top Gun. But the food here is still pretty good (and I'm Chinese-American to boot). There are few Chinese restaurant buffets in Seattle, and this is probably the best of the lot. There must be at least three long aisles with food on either side....that must be at least 50 different dishes PLUS a Japanese counter PLUS dessert(s) PLUS a cook-to-order stir-fry counter. If only this place were closer in (to Seattle, I mean), I would go here all the time...

If you feel like weighing yourself down with plastic sushi, super greased, and generally flavorless food, Super China Buffet is the place to go. Sure, the price per person is great, and the aisles of choices is hard to ignore, but we're talking "buffet" here. It's difficult to ignore the hazardous half stairs half ramp leading to the back banquet area. I understand the ramp is for accessibility, but I'm pretty sure the design is a danger in itself. This evening they happened to be serving crab as the "featured" item. I saw scores of customers that looked as though they were enjoying the entree. I tried and discovered that it is indeed possible to have chewable water. No flavor, not real crab consistency. The shells were so soft and pliable that I had to tear them open [rather than utilizing some type of shell cracker]. Obvious signs of over-cooked crab. Suffice to say, the actual filling part of the dinner included the Chinese donuts, soft serve, and American fries. At least the Coke was nicely carbonated. * The China Buffet may want to invest in some handles for their bathroom sink fixtures. It's very challenging to wash hands without something to turn the water on with.

This was really quite good. Among the best for buffet - it's just way too easy to over eat with all the good stuff. It was about $10.50 per person on Saturday night (no drinks included) and the place was busy. We ate early (~5:15pm) and by the time we left (~6:15pm) there was a line of people waiting for seats to free up and the parking lot was full. The quality of food was good too - things like white meat in their chicken pieces. I'm not a huge seafood fan but they had quite a selection (oysters, sushi, crab legs, etc.) - maybe that's not good as Derek eluded too but just about everything I tried was good. The fried wontons were awesome. There were a few not so great things like some of their fruit (melon wasn't chopped too well), jello (too hard) and the Kung Pao chicken was just so-so but the selection is way too big to not find something you like. (And yes, regarding my quest for great Wonton soup... no dice here either. It was pretty good though - but broth was not the real deal).

Do you really think a buffet outside of Vegas is going to be that good? I am giving this place 4 stars because compared to all the other buffets in town including the spendy ones like Todai this one has the best taste to cost ratio. The chinese stirfry dishes are usually the best. I don't like to get the the mongolian grill because its too much food. The desserts need a lot of help but the cleanliness didn't scare me and the food doesn't seem to sit there too long.

how does this place stay packed? we came because we love asian food of all types, and we'd noticed the full parking lots every time we drove by, so thought it would have to be good, or at least solid. BUT.... absolutely the worst food i've ever eaten - i'd give zero or negative stars if i could. $13 plus tax per person for the Sunday brunch, and my wife and i got up and left rather than put any more of what was in the buffet in our mouths. yes we paid, no we didn't say anything. i didn't want to argue my points, nor would i want to "come back and let us try again, here have two free passes for next time". i'd probably be expected to eat something if i came back for free - wouldn't want to chance it. I am not one to totally slag a place, but they went above and beyond to serve food that was obviously past it's experation date, overcooked, over salted, and cooked in rancid grease. i can't believe people like this food - starving college students may be able to stomach it - but we couldn't.

Super China is a low budget place to pig out, with a well stocked salad bar, decent stir fry dishes, Mongolian grill and a plethora of seafood and sushi to feast upon. However, I'm not a seafood lover so I do find it slightly nauseating to see octopus tentacles and claws dangling from my fellow diner's mouths, and the fishy funk wafting through the air is a little overpowering at times. But to each their own, if looking like a ravenous sea monster is your thing, do it, and do it well!

I never thought I'd find myself going to such a place on an even semi-regular basis but the Super China does about as good a job as you could ask for a multi-MULTI item buffet...and it costs about ten bucks which may be impossible to beat for tasty food. Now realize that there is a lot of fried crappy-crap here to satisfy those who demand everything coated with batter, but you can skip that stuff and feast on baked salmon, sole, steamed clams, baby bok choy, Chinese long beans, damn good Hot-and-Sour Soup, Other featues include a Mongollian grill set-up and a somewhat humorous attempt to serve "sushi." NOW...here is the WARNING with a capital "W"...try to go early in the evening when they are still putting out fresh stuff from the kitchen!!! This is the key to getting a decent meal here. If you waltz in after about 8 or for sure after 8:30 you will get some pretty dreary stuff, all of which has been and looks very picked-over. Go around 5:30 or 6:00 and you will get a very satisfactory meal for very little money!

I had been itching for some good Chinese buffet, and I think that Super China Buffet scratched it for me. Keeping in mind that anything away from International District and in a buffet setting is not going to be gourmet, I was impressed at the selection and taste. Being a vegetarian, there were adequate choices for me to choose from, and I LOVED the veggie spring rolls. I also loved that there was a Mongolian grill section where I could build my own stir-fry. My non-veggie husband loved the meat selection and the sushi. My toddler daughter loved the frozen yogurt/ice cream. Good food for the value, especially if you have a hungry family &/or a large man to feed. My only real complaint is that there is an additional charge for beverages. Definitely worth checking out, but be forewarned, it is BUSY on the weekends!

I have to be honest that this place is a kinda nice place to have a buffet lunch. It's super cheap but it tastes good tho. However, I have to admit that some of the food aren't fresh. For example, I grabbed some of the crabs, and they are so dry and I can't even find the meat at all. But the freag served one (after they refilled them), are actually tastes really good. 10ish dollar for a buffet is not bad huh ?

The food is ok.The buffet is stocked regularly with fresh food. The service is just awful. Forget about water, soda,or ice tea refills.Expect one ice cube in your ice tea when you do get your first one.I beg for ice tea with crammed ice too and never get it.The day care for employees is weird too. They take better care of their children more than paying guests.

Super fun!

I have been going to this buffet for years. The lunch prices are a few dollars less than dinner. I would suggest going for lunch to see if you like it. There is a nice selection of sushi. Ice cream and deserts are served as part of the buffet as well. Weekends offer crab legs but the cost for buffet is more. They also give senior discounts. The place could use a little cleaning up as well as a remodel but it is close to home so we haven't bothered looking anywhere else in the area.

Drive by here many times and decided to try date night here with my husband on Wed 8/12/15. The place was dirty in some areas and on the floor. The Buffett has a large selection, but some items definitely had been sitting out a long time. Food had no taste and I was not impressed. We won't be going back.

After this dining experience, I wished I went to Central Market next door. It's a Asian Buffet, so I'm not expecting top quality food. However Shoreline Super China Buffet is well below par for even the worse buffets out there. Typical Asian buffet food, but its dry and bland as twenty year old beige Camry. Speaking of which I could lubricate a beige Camry with a lot of the food they serve. A lot of it; is that greasy. I should ran away when I noticed that they only change out hot food three times a day. Food dies under 100 watt heat lamps. The decor is very dark and very beige. I understand with this food. You do not want to see what your eating. Super China Buffet has jumped the shark and slowly dying a slow painful death.

I like eating here I always order Togo and my coconut chicken is fresh and hot the lady at the desk knows my order and is very friendly the offer me water as I wait for my food the prices is far for Togo orders. I've never had a cleanliness issue everything is good and safe here maybe reviewers should give it another try!

We decided to try this place despite the bad reviews. Well that was a bad idea..I am honestly surprised that this placed can legally remain open! It was so so so dirty there was food everywhere the floors tables everything was dirty and the food was awful ..after a couple bites we all felt sick. Nothing was cooked right and it was all dried out and had no flavor. Yuck stay away! We complained about our food but they did nothing and we barley touched our plates, such a waste of money!!

Not a bad chinese buffet at all. I'm not a big fan of them in general, but I definitely found some good stuff here. The amount of crab I got for the price, I'm not gonna complain. A-OK.

I normally don't give a 5 star rating but in this case, i'm giving 5 star because of many reasons. They are very friendly, their service rocks and the food is just so awesome. I want to start out with the rice. Normally every Chinese restaurant i go to, i look forward to the rice with meat but the rice would taste terrible and not cooked well. When i came to this place, the food was delicious the rice cooked almost to perfection and the vermicelli is very good. The other thing i love is black bean sauce with white rice, very well made. Last is the fact that they have a "dessert" ice cream counter which is good. They should have more for dessert but other than that, i am happy. 5 stars! Recommended.

At any Chinese buffet, you get what you get and you don't throw a fit. This place has good green beans. Good pork dumplings. Lots of things that seem like they came from Costco - like California Rolls. The have sea food, too. But if you eat sea food at a Chinese buffet - best of luck to you! I wish they would up their game on the dessert front. I would be more enthusiastic. It is worth a shot. Good for kids, too. It's not too expensive either.

This has A Mongolian grill, here too. With it is all you can eat. Green tea, with the meal, the rice was not dried in a blast furnace. It was moist like fried rice should be. The sticky white rice was good too. I had the General Tso's, with this little Sole fish, that was a orange ginger flavor with soy sauce. This has a good flavor, but can be bony. Also coconut chicken was very good. Yes, mother was there and she didn't complain either. Lunch was good, but I like dinner here better, because of beef ribs and other dinner items for a little more.

Apparently a semi-decent Chinese buffet is hard to come by with all of these Pho shops around. The food is above average for a buffet, but because there are literally no Chinese buffets nearby, I give them 5 Stars. I will definitely come back here again and again and again. Quick service.

  • frances l.

I feel like all the food is pretty crappy besides the mongolian grill. I believe it was almost $9 for adult lunch. So cheap! But for that price Ide rather get panda express. The interior of this buffet is pretty rundown.. The booth seat leather(?) is coming apart which isnt a big deal but if youre looking for a date spot, this is nottt the spot.

It left something to be desired. The plain atmosphere and decor definitely hinted towards plain "cuisine" and I use this term lightly. Although there were a couple attempts at wowing the palette (coconut chicken, glutinous rice roll) I felt like it was a place to get stuffed on subpar grub. Soft serve looks watered down and cakes are dry. Not an ideal place for dinner, but maybe a late night snack if it was opened. And the fact that one employee didn't wash their hands and it a no go.

I have eaten there a few times. Its mediocre at best. Serve is bad. Today my family and I were in there and up in the belcony area one of the waitresses was yelling and screaming and hitting man. We then witnessed that the man was actually pulling her off her young son. I am appalled that she treated the little boy like that in public. I cant imagine what he goes through at home. Police were called. I pray that boy will be ok. Never will i patronize this place again.

Got there at 4:45PM and the chicken (all chicken) was cold. The cheese sticks were rock hard. My wife, brother & daughter refused to eat it. Wife & daughter sat there while the guys ate. My brother got one plate and couldn't eat more than a few bites, but my son & I ate our $12.95 worth. It would NOT be worth it if it wasn't for the Mongolian grille. That grille is the only reason I got full since the chicken dishes were cold. Had to argue with the waitress about my wife & daughter not eating. She tried to bill us for them just for sitting at our table. Edit: Went back again today to give them a 2nd chance. Very disappointed again.

Slightly above average all you can eat Chinese buffet. I was impressed with the amount of fresh seafood and sushi they had. And that it was tasty too. The coconut chicken had me going back for more. It was surprising that it was stuff churchy, typically buffet chicken is soft and bouncy. Leeds me to believe they do a good job bring new food in and old out. On the bad side of things. It looked the the restaurant needs a remodel soon. And the ice cream machine was broke, and didn't taste like there was any cream in it. More like a fat free milk slurpee!

  • Allison H.

You get what you pay for here, it's a Chinese buffet so come on people, what are you expecting? There are a number of good options here. Best value is for lunch, about $8.00 and really I don't think you can go wrong. The clams, however, do have a number of small soft shell crabs in them (others have reviewed them as parasites), sushi is just ok and depending on when you go food may not be as fresh, just make sure to go 11-2pm. Overall though, a great deal for lunch.

  • Allison W.

I have been here a few times but my most recent visit will be my last! I've always tried to come earlier for dinner on weekends for the crab, but it is restocked sparsely and rarely. In fact, this visit I wasn't even able to get any, as it was not put out until I was literally walking out the door after 45+ minutes of being there. As for the food, some dishes I would consistently enjoy but there were several times I found hair in the food. Additionally the seafood can be questionable. I used to always get the clams in black bean sauce, but last time found multiple parasites in the clams! I was so disgusted I just paid and walked out, without crab or dessert.

If you want to come here, make sure you time it right...if not, you can have a foot thats been sitting there for a while.. It is gross. I won't go back there again. I find hair in my food and that was worst. I also saw some kids sneezing on the buffet. Ewwww

I love Chinese buffets, and was really surprised on the low rating at this one. I have been to many, mostly in Everett and Lynnwood, and this one kicks butt. I have been here no less then 20-30 times over the years. What are you folks expecting? Especially considering the price ?!?!. Keep in mind, any buffet during off meal hours are going to be less impressive. If you want hot steamy and freshest, than go during meal hours. THIS PLACE ROCKS !

Today, I got lucky. I've been going to Super China Buffet for years but never thought about writing a review till now. On a typical day, I'd give the restaurant 4 stars. Today I'm giving it 5. Why? The service was impeccable. The hostess was prompt with her service and brought me my drink quickly. Over at the Mongolian Grill, the chef responded quickly to the call bell and stir fried my selection well. (I used both Mongolian and Hot Sauce as condiments). The food selection itself was fresh and well done. As usual, the soups were on point. The meat and vegetable selection was worth the price of admission alone. Their seafood selection was apt. I've seen more in bigger buffets, but since Super Buffet, despite the name, is smaller than other area buffets, you can't fault them. The shrimp in their seafood medley was fresh and sparkling pink and the fish they had was delicious. I would've liked to have seen a wider collection of seafood items, like squid or octopus, but you take what you can get. One of the reasons why I like Super China is the atmosphere or ambience. I usually dress, well, not like a bum, but something akin to it. Technically, I can roll out of bed and end up at Super China without anyone taking me to task for my look. I wish they had more English newspapers or magazines to read. Their Chinese reading selection is huge but it does me no good as I can't read it. Another thing I like about this place is the price. I guess because it's smaller than other buffets, it is priced less. That makes sense and it's probably why I return there month after month.

  • Emily R.

Sometimes getting more for less isn't a bargain. Like the other reviews say, you get what you pay for. Probably the cheapest Chinese buffet around, but nothing that I ate tasted all that great, and if I had paid $12 for any of those entrees individually I would have complained. The staff is nice and they were swapping out the food frequently, but the only two things that actually tasted good were the cream cheese wontons and the fried donuts.

I like Chinese buffets- they are like the Asian equivalent of the good old American greasy spoon. If I had a choice as to why I need a coronary bypass, I'll pick death by Asian food hands down! This buffet is good. I actually come here for the fruit buffet. My husband likes the all you can eat sushi. The dessert buffet is ok, they have assorted sheet cakes cut into tiny squares. I haven't tried the Mongolian grill yet, because I am content with the main part of the buffet. Every time I have visited, it is clean and servers get us seated rather quickly. parking is plentiful and I have never had a problem finding a space.

Super displeased with this restaurant. The food is mediocre at best, but what really blew it was the staff. We walk in with our group only to have no one greet us or explain the system. Some awkward guy walked up to us before we even sat down asking what we wanted to drink and ran off. Then we ate and carried on with our dinner. One of our members didn't eat and had to leave early, which at the time we thought nothing of. However as we were leaving they claimed our friend didn't pay and we had to pay it. The woman at the front was very rude and as we explained the situation she was horrible and said that as the guy was leaving said "they are paying for me".... But he didn't eat and only drank water. She said it was our job as the customer to tell the staff if someone's not eating. Finally she called the waiters over and started talking to them in a different language. After that of course they said he ate (even though the male waiter seemed to still be unsure-probably because he knew we were right) so I gave up and paid. I will never be back and can't believe they are still in business when they don't value the customer and only what money they can get in their stingy hands. Never have I been to spoken to in such a way by staff.

Walked in to the place for lunch, vibe is dingy (no big deal for me though). Chairs and tables look like they're from the 60s. Food is acceptable - after eating so many Chinese food, my taste buds are practically numb. They all taste the same kind of goodness, Super China's no exception. It all went well until I got up to have some desserts. Ice cream tasted like too-sweet watery milk, and the cakes looked unfresh and sad. At least they have chocolate chips on the side, and that became my dessert. Oh poor me. I guess this is also acceptable for the lunch buffet price. Next, the worst part. Staffs are fresh-off-boat Chinese ladies. They can't speak very good English, which I totally understand, but they also brought their bad manners with them. My friend and I have been a couple of nice regular college kids having lunch, but they did not talk to us one bit, even giving unwelcoming expression. When we were still eating our fourth plate, a lady SLAMMED the bill on our table and promptly WIPED the table. Also snatched our plates as soon as we finished the food. My jaw dropped. Here's the deal: My friend and I are Chinese-looking so they probably thought we're from China and that we're familiar with the prompt/rude service in typical Chinese restaurants (and we do, since we've been to China, but we're not from China!) - but this is Seattle. And I wouldn't accept bill-slamming and table-wiping while people are still eating, anywhere. Even when I was in China, no restaurant was ever that rude to me. Such a rude staff team! Conclusion: OK food minus dessert, creepy ambience, terribly rude staffs. All these are acceptable considering the price for the meal. But I'm not coming back -- I just don't want people wiping my table while I'm still eating.

I've eaten at pretty much every buffet in Seattle because the bf is such a buffet fan. Because I don't really value quantity, buffets usually don't appeal to me. In fact, the more food I see, the less I feel like eating. Therefore, I judge my buffet based on quality of food relative to the price. Super China is one of the better Chinese buffets in my opinion. Food for the most part tastes pretty fresh such as the steamed fish, and the stir fry aren't overly greasy. My favorite aspect of this place is the mongolian grill, which you can pick your own ingredients for a stir fry. The raw ingredients are very fresh and they have a good sauce that makes them come out pretty delicious. The cook also uses water to cook with eliminates greasy taste. Dessert is pretty forgettable but they do have decent fruit selection. They also have a honey mustard sauce that tastes identical to the one red robin serves!

I keep wanting to find a Chinese buffet that is really good, but it wasn't this one. Perhaps good buffets only exist in casinos? We went for dinner. The place looks run down and dirty, and is full of families with loud kids. Got that old carpet and sticky table thing happening. There was a variety of food but none of it was that good. Meats were tough, sauces boring, seafood sitting out for a long time, trays got empty and didn't get filled quickly. I have had worse but I can't say this was good. We couldn't find knives, it was if they were cutting corners to save on dishwashing. Skip it.

Ate there on Friday for late lunch. The place is a bit run down but looks like maybe they are trying to improve a little. Men's restroom under construction so you have to go to a porta potty outside. However there is no place to wash your hands.....which then begs the question, where do the male employees wash their hands before returning to work? Food in and of itself was ok. Nothing that really stood out. Haven't figured out why Chinese buffets never seem to have great salad bars, this one is no different. Soups were hot and tasty. Some of the entrée s seemed a bit old but it was end of lunch. As we were leaving they brought out fresh food for dinner. They have an attempt at a Mongolian grill but with a limited selection of vegetables. Deserts included a chocolate cake that was dry. An orange cake that was decent. Macaroons that were a tad dry. Some other deserts that didn't really look too appealing. The soft serve ice cream looked opaque so I'm guessing it was a cheaper milk version or had been watered down. As somebody previously reviewed stated these places are like a greasy spoon for Chinese food....and I'd agree. If you're looking for a place to get stuffed on mediocre food for cheap then your in the right spot. Now bear in mind when I came into this place with my wife we were starving, and as my wife says when your hungry anything tastes good.

I like to think my boyfriend and I are buffet connoisseurs. This place has a stagnant menu - so don't expect lobster weekend or sushi Sunday. With that being said, I believe their variety is well ranged - pizza, fries, lychee, sole, sushi, fried fish, etc. We almost always come during lunch time, and almost always about when they open. Some food is great all the time, some food has slight changes now and again (veggies in/not in the egg drop soup) and some food is just always bad. My most memorable dishes? One time we caught the general tsao right as it came out - AMAZING! crispy and saucy. Awesome.. The teriyaki chicken always looks so good, I'm a huge sauce fan and this stuff is soaking in sauce, but the chicken, without fail, is always stringy and dry. :( Please if anyone that works there reads this, PLEASE! just, please. I try it every time and always hope it's changed.. Sushi is average for a Chinese buffet. But a nice selection, yet bland. Service is good, not out of the way outstanding, but nothing negative to say. Desserts are almost constantly dry, but those little Cake things are dry everywhere, so I won't blame them. Overall, very good for a Chinese buffet. Nothing extraordinary, except prices are cheapest in the area (we use a valpak coupon so it's extra cheap). For what it is, and what you pay for, Super China Buffet, you get a strong four stars!

Definitely worth checking out, but be forewarned, it is BUSY on the weekends!

best Chinese Buffet in Seattle. lots of selections, clean, good service, and fresh food! my family loves coming here. there's always something for everyone. even sushi and some korean stuff. gotta love it. It's big enough to cater to parties, special events, etc. you will leave full and satisfied.

Drive by here many times and decided to try date night here with my husband on Wed 8/12/15. The place was dirty in some areas and on the floor.

Its a big chinese buffet with yummy food! It seemed a little on the greasy side and can sometimes be luke warm at best but the price was fair and it was delicious.

Super fun!

Great variety. Bargain-priced. Pleasant employees. Clean surroundings, well maintained. This is a classic all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. Some items are better tasting than others. That's the nature of such places. If you don't like something....don't eat it and go back and get something else!

OMG!!!!! You gotta be kiddin me!!! This food is worse than school lunch cafeteria American-Chinese food!!! I sent plate after plate of food to the garbage can after just a small taste. Who cares if its all you can eat if its all less than edible? Worst food I've ever had anywhere anytime in my entire life NO LIE!!! Yelpers-where are your taste buds?????????

Let me be the first to say I'm not a big fan of Buffets or Chinese buffets for that matter. The idea of stuffing yourself silly because its all you can eat is just...well excess. So I went there today reluctant but hey I wasn't buying. When I walked in the people all seemed friendly quickly sat us down and asked for our drink order which was back at our table in no time flat. After going around all the rows of different dishes, I started stuffing my plate; and yes they do have a lot of options in their foods arsenal; they have the normal stuff, fried rice, sweet and sour, stir fry done in front of you, clams, soups, deserts (I esp. like soft serve ice cream), and french fries at a Chinese restaurant?(that's probably what makes them "super". After eating the food, I thought it wasn't half bad and for the price it was pretty darn great. Granted yes the crab wasn't real crab, imitation crab which is normally made from fish I think. But WHAT THE HELL DO YOU EXPECT WHEN LUNCH IS WELL UNDER 10 BUCKS! I would recommend this place as long as your not trying to compare this where you are actually paying per dish you order. I'd come here over old country buffet (OCB), sizzler, Kings buffet (not around anymore), or even todai (c'mon I could get a really nice steak or seafood for that price). Manage your expectations.

There is no way I can eat enough to justify the prices but that's because my stomach isn't large enough. Take the teenage boys here. I guarantee you'll get your money's worth.

    (1)

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
