Super good Thai food! Good hours, service snd atmosphere. A 2 star feels like a 4 star so if you like things not so spicy, get a 1 star!

Went in to pick up and was told my food wasn't ready and to wait so I did. 30 minutes later I ask again and she doesn't even remember I paid and was waiting. I look up and see a bag of food behind her that was there when I got there, It's mine. I understand having a busy night and making mistakes but she doesn't even offer to remake the food. I get home and eat cold Thai food that cost me $45. I will be driving a little farther for much better food from now on. In the interest of honesty the place makes edible Thai food if you want something close by and easy... On their best days they are a 3/5 star place.

My mom and sister, who live in Duvall, had been trying to bring me to this place for years. I was kind of a snob about it because the Yelp reviews weren't that great and I usually trust that to be a good indication, but sometimes yelp can be wrong, people! I was visiting from out of town this summer and I finally gave in. I ordered the Massaman curry and it was so good that I convinced my family to return with me the next week. I am absolutely NOT a creature of habit and like all sorts of variety when it comes to my food, so this was really out of the ordinary for me to go the same place twice in a row, especially considering I was coming from limited restaurant options in the south and there are so many good places in and around Seattle. On my second visit I ordered the eggplant stir fry and it was amazing! I came with low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised on both visits.

Far from the best Thai restaurant in Redmond. Bai Tong, Bangkok Basil, and Thai 65 all wreck this place. But if you were talking about the best Thai restaurant in this remote little part of Redmond, then you might be on to something. Not that that's saying much, because there are hardly any restaurants in this area. More accurately, there is hardly anything in this area. But you still need to eat, so here you go. I came in for lunch, looked at their lunch special menu, and noticed that everything was cheap. First good sign, right? They were also kind enough to provide a decent soup as an appetizer. And they brought out my cashew chicken combo in ten minutes. So far, so good. Here's where the problems started coming in. I had ordered jasmine rice; they brought me white rice instead. Not a big deal, but the rest of the dish was soaking in some heavy grease from the cashew chicken, even the Phad Thai which otherwise would have been good. What a shame, because the rice was partially ruined by this grease. The cashew chicken itself had many inedible parts, too; I had to pick out the pieces that were suitable for consumption from the grease. But looking beyond that, this restaurant isn't so bad after all. Certainly better than McDonald's.

This is my go to for Chicken pad thai on the east side. I usually order to go and pick up on my way home from work.
(4)Kristi H.
Always good! I love all the appetizers and I'm a fan of swimming rama.

Edit: upping it 1 star. Went back and tried other dishes the second time. Very yummy, and service was super friendly too. My husband and I came here for dinner because We received a coupon in the mail. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, spring rolls, and pad siew. Portions were good, flavours were good, but the spring rolls were quite expensive (and you only get 4). For the same price I can get a full box from cost co. The fried rice was surrounded by the pineapple shell. It was pretty, but made me feel uneasy because I heard some restaurants reuse them. The service was great, fast, food was good, we'll be back. Only wish I didn't have flies hanging around the window next to me :p

Classmates and I came here for lunch during a break during one of our clinical days nearby. The restaurant wasn't bustling, but we weren't the only ones there. Seated by the fish tank, I couldn't help myself but to observe my new little finned friends and notice that the clownfish were swimming oddly. (Upon further research, I guess clownfish just do swim oddly.) I ordered the phad thai combo with swimming rama. I didn't necessarily favor the phad thai-- it was a little too tomato-y for my liking. And the peanut sauce for the swimming rama had too much cornstarch. It was more like peanut gel than sauce. The staff was friendly enough, but nothing extraordinary. Sorry, guys, I won't be back.

Great service walked out the door when good part of original crew returned to Thailand. Still some good wait staff but run if you get male waiter with dutchboy haircut. Terrible service. We've had him twice now and last time he put our order in out of queue and after large party. Waited so long it was getting dark out and cold (we were sitting on deck). We asked why so long and he offered for us to come in but then we pointed to our dog. We decided to leave after watching table that ordered after us stuff their faces for 15 min and he still had gall to charge us $7 for the two sodas we ordered (glasses 3/4 full). Food quality is good when they're on but not consistently so. Prices are getting expensive. We've been regulars since they opened but we've finally flipped the bit to OFF on Silver Spoon. Owner is a nice guy. Wish him best of luck.

Tucked away in a strip mall on the edge of a forest, you can actually find this fine dining establishment. My friends and I came here on a Wednesday evening. There were only a few patrons other than us, but we were seated right away and the two young women working were very attentive to our needs. Just a few tables over, a women was plucking the strings on a musical instrument called chakhe, also known as a zither. I was glad we weren't closer, as the music would have made it difficult to carry on a conversation, but it made nice background music. We ordered food to share family style. The satay comes with either two or eight skewers of meat. Even though we had three people, two skewers had plenty of moist, seasoned meat to share. We also ordered some potstickers. They were small in size, but there were six on the plate. Both appetizers came with their own sauces, peanut sauce for the former and a soy sauce for the latter. Both entrees were presented elegantly and served piping hot along with a large bowl of brown rice; although white rice was also a choice. The medley had a lots of large shrimp, scallops and vegetables. The green curry wasn't as thick as I like it, but the taste was just as I had hoped. The server had asked us on a scale of 1-5 what level of spiciness we preferred. We requested a 3 for both, but I didn't think the fish medley was spicy at all, but the green curry did not disappoint. I'm torn between giving this location a 3 or a 4. It has great ambience, service, food presentation, but I have had better, less expensive Thai food. Usually I only give a place a 4 if I will definitely be returning. A 3 means I would eat here again if there weren't so many other great places and new places to try first.
(3)Gabriela I.
The food was very disappointing. Initially, I ordered a chicken dish but the meat looked gray and the texture was rubbery. I asked to exchange the dish, but the new dish with noodles had hard noodles and what seemed to be chicken bones or tendons. It was unpleasant to say the least. I will not go back.
(1)Anuj A.
I found the food amazing everytime. Specially Chicken Panang, and Phad Thai are my favorites. They make it finger licking delicious. It always takes just 5-10 minutes for them to make my order ready for pick up. As per today, I will rate it 5 stars.

I am so dismayed to have to leave less than a stellar review. I don't like doing it, it makes me feel horrible... but here's the thing, the lady with the giant eyelashes at the Silver Spoon made ME feel horrible. My brand-new husband, who's been living in the area for 15 years, eats here all the time. I've eaten here with him a couple of times, and I will say that the food is decent. Not amazing, but far from bad, and considering it's close to where we live, it's an easy choice, and the prices are reasonable. But the service... *cringe* I went in the other day to pick up takeout that we had phoned in on the way over. I was driving, sitting beside my husband as he made the call, and I know he ordered the correct dishes. When we got the restaurant, I went inside to pick up the order, which was ready. Great! But... the order was wrong. One of the dishes was totally wrong. It was not a dish I'd even tried before. The lady with the big eyelashes glared at me and said they had made what I had ordered. I politely said that I'd never had this dish before, and said that my husband had ordered something else. Clearly it was misunderstanding. Maybe they didn't hear him well. Totally get that. It happens. So not a big deal. I had time. I could wait. But... they wouldn't correct the order. In every other restaurant in every other city and country I've ever been to, if you receive the wrong dish FOR ANY REASON, they make you the right one. Regardless of why it happened. But, at Silver Spoon on Thursday, March 13 around 11:30 a.m., they did not. And not only did they not, they would not. She said, "THIS IS WHAT YOU ORDERED AND WE ALREADY MADE IT." It was really mean, and I was so taken aback, I paid for the meal and left with it, even though I had no idea what was inside the bag, and even though all my instincts were screaming at me to just leave the food and go. But I couldn't speak up. I don't know why. I wanted to, but I just didn't. I'm ashamed to say I didn't stand up for myself. I won't go back. I can't. Because there are just too many restaurants around that make good Thai food, and I would like to give my business to those who really want it... and who are, you know, reasonably polite. My husband said he liked eating at the Silver Spoon because it was easy... but for me, it was actually really hard.

This is the second time I have dined here (Redmond Ridge). And it will be the last time. The service was terrible and the food was even worse. We ordered two dishes - Phad Thai with chicken and the house special sizzling garlic beef. The Phad Thai was close to being the worst I have ever had. Mushy noodles with no flavor. The beef was almost inedible. We each had a few bites of the beef and then we were done. Very low quality beef. There are many quality Thai restaurants on the Eastside, but this is not one of them.
(1)Tom S.
One of the best Thai Restaurants we have been to. Highly recommended.
(5)J B.
When we eat in house it feels like the food takes an unusually long time, and the staff is helpful but not overly personable. Now we exclusively eat take out from here and it is some of the best Thai in the area. I think many others have adopted the take out only mantra and they cater to that crowd more diligently than they do the in house patrons.
(4)S C.
Staff seemed to be lacking the day i went or maybe they were busy on other things. I ordered chicken basil. Tasty but i don't think the chicken was fresh. Next time i will try the tofu option and maybe i'll have to amend this rating:)
(3)Lovish D.
I wish if there is less than 1 star option. Will not recommend anyone to go there. Very disappointed. We went to this restaurant yesterday for lunch. Ordered fried rice (with fried tofu) and panang curry (with fresh tofu). Issues: 1. We got the curry with fried tofu. 2. The rice and the tofu was burnt. Once we informed the server, she came back and told us it's burnt because we asked them to make it without eggs.. really! 3. She offered to get that replaced but didn't guarantee that it will not be burnt this time. (I've been eating thai for years, their chef is clearly not pro). Why would you burn the dish 4. We told the server actually now that we have already put stuff in our plate so we may not be able to have the full rice replaced, on which she offered to bring us half plate rice. Once we got the bill, the rice was charged full. I asked and they said as we ate their crappy burnt rice already so I have to pay for the whole dish. Did I mention the smell. Apparently, the cleaner in the hall was cleaning the floor right opposite to our table with Chlorine and had such a bad smell. Bottom Line: Never go to this place period.
(1)Eneri S.
Ordered the garlic pork ribs, pork phad thai, pad kee mau and fried ice cream. The pork ribs were excellent, other entrees were average. The fried ice cream did not have a crunchy coating. On the positive side, our server, Vincent, was very upbeat, friendly and helpful. My companion ordered the thai iced tea (which was wonderful) and Vincent gave me a sample to taste. Very thoughtful.
(3)Nipun S.
We found this place due to Groupon. Loved the food and atmosphere. I am deducting a star for their staff. We have a toddler and there was a time she peaked at the table behind to see who was talking loudly and the server asked us to ensure she does not stand up and look behind as there were customers (and I am putting it very politely), apart from this, small things like welcoming your guests, saying 'thank you', making sure there is enough water on the table should not be missed by any staff..I'll surely try this place again considering it was one lady. I highly recommend the 'Heavenly Coriander' dish.

This place is called "Redmond's Best That Restaurant" so I had high expectations. Unfortunately I don't know who votes on these things but I think it is maybe the best Thai Restaraunt on Redmond Ridge near Novelty Hill Road. Food was OK but I honestly prefer Bai Tong, Ilyara Thai or Thai Ginger almost 10 times better. I experienced the flies on the glass comment someone else mentioned and the service was really slow. If you have a lot of time to spare and nowhere to go, you may enjoy this place. The outside patio is nice on sunny days but the service may have been the slowest I've seen in my lifetime :( Spiceness of the dishs are spot on and they have a 1-5 hotness scale. 4 Stars wasn't too hot, but enough to feel the kick. I ordered 2 items there, Larb Gui and Silver Spoon Speciality Cashew dish. The Larb Gui was 90% more lettuce than I am used to and it wasn't very much ground chicken... I feel sorry for this place because I think they see the writing on the wall with Groupons, Monthly 15% off mail flyers etc... Good luck to them, but things have to change but they are FAR from the best in Redmond...
(2)Nilesh P.
Good ambience and food. Extremely quick take out. My favorites are phad ki Mao and pineapple curry fried rice - yum!!
(4)Jennifer M.
Silver spoon is my favorite restaurant!! I come about once a month and they always remember me and my order. The location is pretty convenient, the menu is huge and almost everything can be vegetarian and the vibe is nice with the live music and the decor. I always order the mild golden noodles with tofu. Fresh veggies, fried tofu, plenty of wide noodles and a curry sauce. It is Thai food perfection. The coconut ice cream is delicious too!
(5)Scarlett S.
I'd just been tanning next door to this place, when the yummy smells coming out of their chimney made it impossible for me to avoid eating here. The place is clean, comfortable and the food is incredibly authentic and flavorful but not overdone with sauce. Dry rub possibly? I dunno. I was never into Thai food that much until I went to Thailand (a mouth-watering experience btw). What I've learned since then is that there's good Thai food, really good Thai food and mediocre Thai food. Their red Beef curry is stellar as well as the crisp papaya salad. Even the Thai iced tea seems more flavorful than I've had at most places. Silver Spoon is definitely REALLY GOOD Thai food!! :o)
(5)Jeffrey S.
Here I am sitting in the furthest hinterlands of Microsoftopia and am in awe, shocked that such a place exists at the edge of civilization. The food, the seafood Phad See-Ew and Pla Chui Chi here are incredibly authentic, hot, and fresh. It's located in a mall, but is definitely WAY above mall level. I would argue this is one of the best Thai places on the Eastside.
(5)Matt B.
I don't care for the food here, and it's as expensive as any I've had. The food is inconsistent, but usually bland, it always takes longer than the estimated time, and I've had a couple of bad encounters with the staff. Once I called in an order just after they switched from their reasonable lunch portions to their large, more expensive dinner portions, and I asked politely if they could make it a bit smaller. Rather than simply saying "no, sorry" the guy asked "well what time is it?" with a very rude tone, I said "3:10" and he followed up with "well we stop serving lunch at 3..so no..."
(2)El Jefe J.
They serve the lunch combos until 5pm M-F but not weekends. Why? While I enjoy the food I continue to be put off by their general service attitude. Very black and white approach - no real service.
(1)Christian S.
The best Thai restaurant I've ever been in Washington. The Tom Kah soup was delicious, the spring rolls with shrimp were amazing, The pad Thai and the number 62 were out of this world. Highly recommended!!!!
(5)Mark H.
After a 14 hour day three of us went for dinner. We got there at 9:45 just before closing. The food was served quick and tasted good but the staff was peering over at us and rude in rushing us through the dinner. Not very hospitable.
(3)Megan W.
My favorite restaurant close to home! Hands down the BEST SPRING ROLLS ever (if you like them fried). Good atmosphere, great for a gathering, date, take-out or regular ol' dinner out with the family. My favorites are Garlic Chicken, Phad Thai and Snow Pea.
(5)Catherine B.
My family and I come here all the time. We always get the Tom Kah soup, Crab Delight, Phad Thai, and Ginger Garden with Chicken. It never disappoints!
(4)Tatiana T.
Curry dishes are awesome. I like that place a lot. Visited multiple times for lunch.
(5)Steve Y.
The problem with this place is that it's good but nothing special, yet slightly expensive. For example, $6.xx for 4 small spring rolls. This is very much your standard spring roll in terms of taste and ingredients. The entrees I've tried here were decent, but nothing really set it apart. Again, portions were not generous. If my mom didn't live a few blocks away I wouldn't bother to be honest. It's good enough I guess.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. Let me start by saying that Silver Spoon used to be a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. However since they added their Lynwood location this restaurant has suffered in terms of quality and customer service. First of all the waiters are super unfriendly. You almost have to beg to be seated an I have never seen a smile on any of their faces. Now the reason for my review is the beyond terrible experience I had with my parents last night. We arrived on a Tuesday night around 8 pm hoping to grab a quick bite to eat. There were no waiters in sight to seat us. To make matters worse none of the tables had been cleaned or cleared. It was actually pretty unhygienic to see. And certainly not appetizing ! When we finally did manage to get a waiter she told us, without any eye contact, that we had to wait at "at least 10 minutes", and stormed off to the kitchen. When we did get a spot, the other waiter wheeled in trolley to start busting tables. When we finally placed our order our night went from bad to worse. Sitting behind us was a large party of 14. Next to them was a party of 8 children. These children were running around the restaurant as if they were on track and field. We politely asked the dad if they could ask the kids to calm down and stay put (since they were continually bumping into our chairs and table). This guy flipped a lid and literally told us "to shove it and this is America and we can do what we want including our kids". This was only the beginning of his rant and I will spare you the rest since his words can't be repeated. This waiters just stood there and did nothing! For your wallet, stomach and sanity's sake avoid this place.
(1)Michael T.
Quality thai. Red curry awesome, as is the pineapple fried rice. Live piano bar evenings. Classy joint, great food, good bargain.
(5)Jose P.
This is an amazing Thai place up on Redmond Ridge. The portions are large and the combinations are just amazing. Gotta love the tea, the brown rice and all the other small things. If we're 3 we like to order 2 plates (like the seafood combination or the ginger one) plus pad thai and we generally end up barely touching the rice. Service is friendly, maybe a little bit slow but nothing to worry about. We don't bother to order starters anymore although we tried them once and were OK.
(5)Ryan J.
Good thai food. Slightly better ambiance, plates, etc, than your average Thai place. Spice scale is strange: 1-3 isn't spicy at all but 4 is like ordering 5 at most other places.
(4)Jo T.
I like this silver spoon and come back often. It is nice and clean place with fare price. Only thing to complain is the meal little too salty.
(4)Dan M.
This Restaurant is awesome. If you're dining in, the atmosphere is great - there's even a piano and they usually have someone playing it during dinner hours. If you're ordering to go, expect your food to be ready quickly to take home and eat piping hot. The service is great and the Waitresses are always kind and helpful. As far as the food goes, it's awesome. The Spring Rolls are a fantastic appetizer, and my wife and I have never been dissapointed with the food.
(5)David E.
I'll start this out by saying that I used to love Silver Spoon. The food was excellent and the servers were attentive and quite nice. The Good: - Atmosphere - Service - Live Music (occasionally) The Bad: - Food I'm not sure what happened recently - new chefs, new recipes, new management - something changed the food quality for the worse. Ultimately it comes down to a lack of consistency in the food. Every once in a while the meal is prepared just right, but usually the chicken is dry, the noodles are either overcooked or undercooked, the sauces are too thin, and the flavor is off. The Ugly: I recently ordered the Tom Kha soup. Worst Tom Kha soup I've had from any of the Thai places I've been to - and I've been to several. The soup was way too sweet and had too much onion and galangal. My stomach was sick within 20 minutes. Upon contacting the management, I was assured that the recipe and ingredients hadn't changed. At least they apologized for my experience. Bottom Line: If you come here regularly and have found some dishes that they consistently prepare well, stick with those. However, if you're looking for good Thai places to start coming to or to bring friends to, wait for yelp reviews to say that the food has improved or order only the food favorites from reviews - everything else about the restaurant is great. It's a shame for such an lovely restaurant to start serving poor-quality food.
(2)Palash B.
good ambient, good food. tried basil fried rice - liked it. remember - one fried rice plate is enough for two :)
(4)Sarah S.
I still love this place, they have amazing Thai food. Our last two experiences here though, have been less than awesome. The good: excellent service, excellent prices, amazing spring rolls, great ambiance, good food. The weird: I am a spice wimp, I always order two stars. Three, if I am feeling especially bold. The last two times here my husband and myself have ordered our food two stars like always but it has come out like 11 stars hot. My own fault, I don't send it back... I try to choke it down but DAMN! It is just too spicy! Last time we were with friends I could tell their food was too spicy too because they were dripping with sweat eating it. It's just not pleasant to have food that spicy. So... I'm still coming back but I'm not attempting to choke down another plate of something if it comes out too spicy. I'll order it 1 star, just to be safe. I hope my experiences are rare exceptions and in the future things are back on track! We love the spoon!
(4)Katie O.
For family celebrations, my family usually goes to one of two places; Ixtapa or Red Robin. I am so thankful that my mom changed that when we tried out Silver Spoon. Their food is delicious, and even my dad and brother who don't like trying different ethnic foods love this place (mostly for the garlic ribs). My favorite is the panang curry. It makes my mouth and tummy so happy! My sister loves the massaman curry, and my mom gets the cashew chicken. We are all satisfied and stuffed by the end. The downside? The service can be a wee bit slow and the star ratings are a bit off. However, these should not be enough to turn you away from this culinary gem tucked into a corner of the strip mall.

My husband and I went to lunch at the Redmond Ridge Silver Spoon Thai Restaurant. The restaurant is very open and has floor to ceiling windows with modern wall hangings. Our waitress, Chanel, lead us to our table and asked if we would like a beverage and also gave us a menu. The menu was extensive, but under each entry or category, it explained each dish, which was very helpful. We had heard that this restaurant was good, but we were extremely please when our plates were delivered. My husband had the P h a d Thai with pork and I had the Mixed Vegetables Deluxe with pork. My husband loves P h a d Thai, so he often compares this dish among different restaurants.... it was great!! My dish was beautifully done with fresh pea pods, broccoli, baby corn, cabbage, green beans, and carrots. All of the vegetables were cooked to perfection in an oyster sauce with two big scopes of rice. We totally want to come back to try the other dishes. We told our waitress at the end of our meal that this was our first time at the restaurant. She offered a take-out menu, and told us they had another Sliver Spoon up in Lynnwood. The meal was delivered promptly and our water glasses were filled often. The cheerfulness of the staff gave us a sense of pride in their place of business.
(5)Krishi S.
I ordered the lemon grass chicken and it was great. Service was fine and fast, had both good quantity and quality. Even had a puffer fish in the tank!
(4)Some D.
I've been here at least 10 or more times since moving to the area. The ingredients are decent quality and everything I've ordered has been great. Usually I get cashew chicken 3 star spicy. I'm not sure how hot 5 star is but 3 star makes my nose run. The chicken satay here is better than most Thai places. The ambiance in this place sets it apart from most Thai places that seem more like holes in the wall. It's still a casual place to dine but they have better quality tables, chairs, and decor so it feels a bit more upscale. They have this huge fish tank in the middle of the place that adds to that vibe.
(4)Jackie M.
If I could give this place 6 stars I would!!!!! Silver Spoon is my favorite restaurant! Whenever I have family or friends in from out of town, we go to Silver Spoon...and every person has told us how good the Thai Food was. I have relatives who are like, "when are we going to the Thai place?" Everything on the menu is great, and trust me, I've tried a lot! My favorite is Mama Phad. It's perfect. Great amount of fresh delicious vegetables, chicken or beef and yummy noodles with a perfect sauce! I highly recommend it. It's pretty mild, so it's a great dish for people with a sensitive palate. I don't even like curry, and I like everything here that is "curry." My husband has a very picky order, and it is always correct and delicious! Start with the Spring Rolls- they are delicious! The best part is the quality of this place. All the vegetables are fresh, crispy and brightly colored...seriously, where do they buy these veggies?! They don't skimp on meat, and the noodles are always cooked to perfection. The staff is so nice and friendly. They are always smiling and happy. We usually take food to go, but when we eat in, it's a wonderful experience. This place is perfect for a family dinner, it's perfect for a date night and it's great to catch up with friends. It's the perfect environment for lunch or dinner. I can't speak highly enough of Silver Spoon!
(5)Kristin C.
I have had take out and eaten in at Silver Spoon. The food is good, and decently priced, although not super memorable. I even forgot to review it! I first checked it out because I had gotten a coupon. We got pad thai and chicken cashew nut and some spring rolls to go to eat off of for a few days. My boyfriend LOVED the pad thai, I thought everything was pretty good, but not so good that it's worth driving all the way out there for. The 2nd time we went for my parents Anniversary. We were heading back from Snoqualmie Falls and took the back roads. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, Chicken Cashew Nut, and some sort of duck curry. Everyone liked the food, and kinda found a dish they liked the best, so it worked. I didn't really care for the duck curry, but I think that's a personal preference. The thai iced tea was good though. I am a sucker for thai iced tea. I would go here again if someone else suggested it, or if I was in the area, but it's not really worth driving out too. I usually prefer noodle dishes, but at Silver Spoon I preferred the chicken cashew nut, which just seems weird to me.
(3)Douglas C.
I have tried Thai at almost every place in Seattle / Eastside, and this Thai food drives me nuts a bit. The Curry is SO thick, you feel like you are eating fatty liquids. It just lacks that smooth curry taste of pretty much ANY other Thai place on earth. Maybe they use a different milk or heavy cream, I dont know. The soup was okay at best, lots of bamboo filler, and their spice is done with diced thai peppers. It just feels very cheap.
(2)Tom C.
Silver Spoon.... but sticky menu and table. Service was great, Tom Yum soup was fantastic - not too spicy-hot, fresh ingredients. #62 yellow curry chicken (house special) and jasmine rice. Mmmmm. Perfect for a rainy Saturday. Now, if they could just scrub the tables and wipe off the menus...
(3)Jena D.
Solid Thai food. I've had take out as well as dined in the restaurant itself. I'm always grateful most Thai cuisine in the Seattle area is reliable. I'm grateful for this location because most of the restaurants in this shopping center aren't even worth mentioning. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. They have a tropical fish tank as you walk in and wait for a table. I usually dine at off hours, but they do seem to get pretty busy here. The only recommendation I would have here is to order your food maximum spicy with even a side of some sriracha as even the spicy dishes I've requested have been fairly mild. This could easily be because they sit in a prominently senior community and I'm pretty sure most seniors think cream of wheat is too spicy. The fresh spring rolls are worth a try as well as the garlic chicken and red curry. I did eat an entire order of their phad Thai in the past....I guess I've yet to order anything I didn't care for.

This is a classy Thai place made to accommodate the American palette and they have certainly adopted American pricing. Every entree is at least $10. If you want decent Thai food that's 25% - 50% overpriced, this is the answer. Part of the problem is the choice of meat. We ordered a Tom Kah Kai soup and all of the chicken was white meat chicken. I know, many people prefer white meat, but usually that is a choice that comes at an extra cost. Why should I pay inflated standard pricing and subject myself to tough meat? The beef in the massaman curry was also hard to chew (my teeth are fine, thanks). Maybe I'm being picky with these guys. There are definitely some great things about Silver Spoon. Where else would you find a Thai restaurant with a live piano player? The exotic fish tank also adds a nice touch.

The boy and I went here the other day. We were feeling some good Thai food and wanted something close by. I had heard some pretty good things about this location and the Lynnwood location, so why not give it a shot? It was a Friday night at around 7pm. You would think it'd be fairly full, but there was only one other couple sitting in the corner as we passed by. Walking in, we were faced with a huge fish tank, but no one there to greet us. About a minute later, a woman from AROUND the corner asked us, "TO GO?!" Since I've never been in Silver Spoon before, I didn't know that they had take-out, thus I had no idea what she was talking about. I replied with a, "No..?" Then she seemed a little peeved and showed us to our table, handed us our menus and left. Ok? Thanks? Our first waitress was very nice and laid back, asked us what we wanted to drink and didn't rush us. It took us awhile to order and once we were ready the first lady from earlier came back and tried to hurry to take our order. Uh, last I checked the restaurant wasn't very full, so what's the rush? I tried to ignore it, and instead focused on the yummy food that was about to be served. Once our food did arrive, it was again a DIFFERENT lady (how many waitresses do you need?). She was holding the Lemon Grass Chicken which the boy had ordered. She stared at me and said, "You order this?" I was confused by her question because it kind of took me off guard. So I said, "Huh?" and she angrily said, "YOU ORDER THIS? THIS YOURS?" I finally caught on to what she was asking and replied, "Oh, nooo, he ordered that dish" while pointing to the boy. An awkward pause and then she again insists, "So you order this?" while looking at me. I gave up and said, "Yeah, sure." She rolled her eyes, placed the dish in front of me, and walked away. The boy and I just looked at each other in shock for a bit-- could not believe such a highly praised place had such terrible customer service in such a short amount of time. To rate the food, it was fair. The Lemon Grass Chicken was drenched in some sort of sauce with carrots and a bunch of cabbage. Didn't look too "fancy" just kind of looked like it was thrown together. The chicken didn't even have a chicken texture and definitely didn't taste fresh. I ordered the Bah Mee which looked pretty delicious. Once I had a bite, it was hard to taste the many other flavors because the sauce was so potent and drenched over EVERYTHING. What is it with their sauce? I give them a 2 star because they really do have potential. The restaurant itself is very warm and welcoming, but they just need to work on their customer service tremendously and enhance the quality of their food. I am willing to try them again, but only at the Lynnwood location.

this used to be our go -to restaurant for several YEARS. today, we went in for a late lunch to celebrate Valentine's Day. what a disappointment :-( lipstick on the cup when server poured me tea. and, my husband's water glass had lipstick on it, as well. server didn't seem at all fazed when we mentioned the two items were dirty and we'd like replacements. unsanitary, to put it mildly! our food arrived - the swimming rama w/ tofu is supposed to have cooked spinach. it was raw and the fried tofu was COLD. the phad thai was too sweet and stuck together like it'd been made many hours before. my husband's meal consisted of stringy beef and raw broccoli - the beef was so tough he didn't eat it and the broccoli was literally RAW. music was very loud, waitresses were busy chatting away near the kitchen and didn't seem to care about the customers. we saw two customers send their meals back to the kitchen and i watched the waitress say something to the cook while she tossed the food into a pot & another cook started stirring it around.....hmmm, seemed odd. we will not ever be returning. the poor quality of our two meals (with food items being undercooked or raw) along with being served with dirty dishes/glasses and the underwhelming service have ruined this restaurant for us. such a shame because we've always loved this place. :-(

Silver Spoon is the best experience of thai food! Sometimes they have smooth live piano music playing. And the waiters are nice and caring. When you enter, there are beautiful fish swimming in a large tank. My favorite is Pad Thai and Fried Rice. If your looking for delicious dinner, or lunch, I recommend this place!
(5)Joshua P.
Totally disappointed :( I love Thai food and was excited to try this as I work super close. What a bummer... a friend and I went towards the end of lunch so I am guessing they just gave us the leftovers rather than the freshest. The service was ok. Food was greasy... I now realized how spoiled I was being able to walk to Fremont to eat at so many great Thai restaurants. Will not go to Silver spoon again.
(2)Sandra O.
Usually, this restaurant is pretty good.... but I ordered the Yum Neau (beef salad) on this occasion and I was not impressed. I ordered it to go and the beef was so burnt and charred that the entire salad tasted like ash and charcoal. If I had ordered and eaten this in the restaurant I assume the beef would not have been burnt to ash, but because this was "to go" and no one would be the wiser....the burnt beef was left in the order.
(1)Steph C.
I've been coming here weekly since the day they opened. A few years ago I would've given them 5 stars but ever since they opened their Lynwood location it seems the good kitchen staff has since gone. Food is ok - still better than the mystery Thai places you find but I really wish they would go back to being consistent.
(3)Beth B.
My aunt and uncle have been regulars here for years and I can see why. The service can't be beat. They are very attentive and prompt and would be a reason to go back even if the food wasn't delicious. If you want to try a real treat, try the Silver Spoon Cashew ($9.99). Oh my goodness it's delicious! It's garlicy and nutty and overall an amazing dish of food. The portions are very generous and we leave with extras all the time which is enough for another meal. I have also tried the Pad Thai ($9.99) and my uncle usually gets the Silver Spoon Delight ($11.29) that has three different kinds of meats and veggies. For appetizers I would recommend the fresh rolls ($7.59) that come with an AMAZING peanut sauce. If they sold it by the tub, I would buy it! Some sauces can be a little too spicy or sweet, but honestly this is perfect. And if you manage to have room after your massive meal, do yourself a favor and get the fried bananas with coconut ice cream ($5.50)! It's served over a raspberry sauce with whipped cream and I swear it's one of the best desserts I've had in a while. The bananas are warm and crispy yet soft in the middle and the ice cream is light and complimentary. I personally HATE the taste of coconut but it's just a hint so I recommend it even if you aren't a huge coconut fan. Their menu is HUGE so I believe it wouldn't be hard to find something that everyone enjoys. The ambiance is nice and there is an outside seating area. Overall this place is definitely worth giving a shot.

Family get-togethers are a little more flavorful now that we meet at the Silver Spoon. My parents are picky eaters (oh, the irony), and don't like trying new foods. Luckily, this place has a wide selection of menu items, and I'm always excited to take home my left-overs. It's reasonably priced and enjoyable. Psst! Take-out is available, too -- in case you need a pajama night with some curry.
(4)Jeri L.
The food is excellent and reasonably priced.Fast take out service. 5 star if seating was a bit bigger.
(4)steven w.
I hope that they have changed their chef, and that the last three (3) times we have been here (we've been coming since they opened) is not indicative of a new strategy. They've lost the consistency we appreciated for so long. The noodles have been under cooked, or there has been no spice or hot (what happened to medium?). We mentioned the inconsistency the first two times and sent the food back the third time. We'll give them another try, but a face to face with the manager and cook will be in store if they don't get their act together. Abandoning them would be easier, but there isn't much choice out here in the hinterland. Update - after reading the other reviews, could it be that the owners have forgotten about the long term value of a customer - they are skimping on take out orders, not realizing that take out quality determines if you come back for a dine-in experience?
(3)Gracie B.
This place is wonderful! We went in for lunch on a rainy day and couldn't have asked for better food. Everything tasted fresh and was piping hot when it arrived at the table. The service was great. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The busser always made sure we had full glasses. We can't wait to go back.
(5)Lau C.
Ok, I am OBSESSED with thai food. Like I've tried every thai place within a 20 mi radius of my house and this HANDS DOWN is one of the absolute best I've ever been to! It's probably 20 minutes from my house, but the drive doesn't stop me. Their Panang Curry is so rich and delicious and I always get extra bell peppers. My husband loves their Pad Si Ew. They somehow get a little char on it, and its to die for. We haven't had a single bad dish here. The waiters are nice, oh and did I mention their prices ROCK?! Like We can go have dinner and a drink for under $30. I love it. Now if only I could move closer...
(5)Chris C.
I just had an amazing meal here. One of my problems with PNW Thai restaurants is "as spicy as you can get it" normally means "tongue tingle." I finally got Silver Spoon to make it spicy enough for me, by saying "hotter than you normally make 5 star." I believe the waitress confirmed it as 10 star. Besides the spice factor, even when, on previous visits, the food had been mild, the curries had been tasty and complex. The service is good, and the decor is modern and open making it a great sunny day restaurant. I will be back more frequently now.
(5)Christian v.
This is my most favorite Thai food in the world! Favorites: Yellow Curry with Chicken Pad Thai with grilled Tofu Spring Rolls I don't know what it is, but I'm getting hungry (at 10am) just thinking about it! In addition, the staff are super friendly. They often have live piano music behind the huge aquarium. It's a casual atmosphere (why do they have 2 TVs playing? this isn't a sports bar).... and I probably do take out 50% of the time. If you love Thai, this is well worth the drive up the hill to Redmond Ridge. Absolutely the best!
(5)Noel T.
I love this place, I go here at least once a month. It is always clean, fast and great service and excellent food!
(5)Chuck M.
What are these people talking about? Granted, I suppose it's possible I came on an off-night (Sat. night and crowded?) and maybe the regular cook was off, but I was not impressed. New in Duvall, I had a hankerin' for some Thai food and ask a friend for a recommendation. She whole-heartedly suggest Silver Spoon. Good sign. I look at the menu online and phone in an order for crab delight, phad thai and red curry. As I walk in to pick it up, I'm behind a woman telling her guest how all other Thai restaurants pale compared to this one. Good sign, again. I pick up my moderately pricey meal and take it home to share with the Missus. The Crab Delights were large, but primarily because of a high cream cheese to crab ratio. Very little crab taste. The phad thai was a hard-to-break-up congealed lump. My impression was "bland and oily-tasting," my wife's was "bland and vinegary-tasting." The curry was a little better, but also bland. I doubt I'll risk my hard-earned money on another venture here. Will try Thai Duvall next time.

I absolutely adore this place. I found this place while looking on yelp for nearby Thai restaurants one time and this one got great reviews. It is a little far for me (since I live right next to the Microsoft campus) so sometimes the traffic getting there is a little rough. But it is so worth it. The food is always the same, which I definitely appreciate. Lots of restaurants I've been to in general can really sway one way or the other. I could go one day and It would be amazing while another day it is just "meh." But their food is always consistently good. The service is amazing. They are really quick on refilling our water (which is great for my boyfriend because he chugs water.) If you haven't been here you should definitely come. It does not disappoint.
(5)elyce a.
Best Thai food around here :) they always do a great job with food and service. I love the pineapple fried rice, the panang curry, mango sticky rice and jasmine tea, orange chicken and sen yai noodles
(5)Annie Y.
Silver Spoon is just really top notch. I've been here four times and each time has just been a great experience. Their pad thai is delicious and just spicy enough when I order 3 stars. Their curry also is great. I've had the green curry, which my parents especially like as well. The nice service, mixed with the excellent food, makes Silver Spoon my go to thai food place!
(5)Phil S.
This place was actually pretty good! I wasn't too sure just because its in sort of a strip-mall type of area where there is tons of new development but the place is really pretty tasty. I ordered the yellow curry dish... god I love yellow curry. This place did a good job with it. We had ordered some spring rolls too which were also very good. There was a piano player playing live music which was a nice touch.... its sort if fancy without being really too fancy. The food is good.
(4)Kevin F.
Solid Thai food and good service in a clean atmosphere. I haven't had everything on the menu (it's pretty big) but have never had anything disappointing. We particularly like the Panang, Phad See Ewe, Tom Kah Soup, Thai Iced Tea, and Sweet Sticky Rice pudding. I usually get two stars, which has enough of a bite for flavor but isn't really that hot. It is located in a trying-to-be-upscale strip mall, but makes the most of it - they keep it very clean and nicely decorated, use cloth napkins, etc. Has the traditional tropical fishtank as well as a piano player some evenings. Outdoor seating on a patio with a few bushes around it, but basically in between a couple of roads and the parking lot. My biggest gripe is that they have a couple of TVs mounted around the restaurant, usually showing sports or game shows or the like - they keep the sound off, but they are still kind of visually invasive and detract from the attempt at classy decor.
(4)H K.
Great place for decent thai food in the suburbs. We get take out a couple times a month from here.
(4)VHiker ..
Just had dinner here. Rating says it all :)
(5)Mimi L.
Been here on a few occasions since it's close to home and the service is very friendly but the food has been rather inconsistent. We almost always order 3 entrees... one is always the eggplant dish and it has never been the same! But again, one of the only Thai places near me so I can't be too choosy... luckily, they always do it with a smile.
(3)Dee W.
Went back for the 2nd time and they were spot on! Everything was the perfect amount of spicy and their happy hour can't be beat. We had two (half size) noodle dishes, Tom Ka Gai, Coconut Prawns and beer for $25. It's great to have a "nicer" thai place to go to.
(4)David W.
Our famility goes once a month. Good food, although it gets crowded. Good service, and nice to have live piano. Better than pizza and a change from Mexican.
(4)Sara M.
Thai is my personal favorite...along with most American's these days. I have had bad Thai food and then I have dined at the Silver Spoon in Redmond Ridge and have never been disappointed. The service is inpeccable and the food is always fresh, fast and a great value for the money spent. My personal favorites anywhere I go are always Phad Thai with Shrimp and Cashew Nut Chicken, both 3 stars. The ambiance of this restaurant also differs from most. There is a grand piano with someone playing at all times, but it never seems too loud...just perfect. My step-son loves the large tropical fish tank located at the entrance of the restaurant. It keeps him entertained if ever there is a line for a table.
(5)Mags L.
I ate at this restaurant based on its review in Yelp, and I'm happy to say that the reviews are true. =) The restaurant is impeccably clean (I wouldn't expect anything else judging from its location), the menus have lots of pictures (very helpful), and the staff is patient (*very important* when I'm out to have a girls' chat night). If you like spiciness, order one number higher than you normally would.
(4)Jessica N.
Silver Spoon is our Go-To for Thai food! We order Take-out almost once a week from here and it's so good we usually get in fights over who get's the left-overs the next day! So beware if you have a rocky relationship, this could be a make or break decision!
(4)Adrienne H.
Not a bad choice especially in this part of Redmond. I took mine to-go which could be why I just thought the food was "ok". Definitely not "stand out" material in the way of Thai food, but not bad either. The Phad Thai was very dry, the Tom Kha soup was good, but the crab wontons left a lot to be desired. My favorite Thai place is still The Noodle Boat in Issaquah - the most authentic, interesting and delicious Thai food i've ever laid lips on.
(3)Sam H.
Years of search for decent Thai in Redmond and now there's Silver Spoon. I know a lot of people like Typhoon, but I really don't like the Phad Thai there, which is pretty much a deal breaker for me. I love Thai food, so whenever they open one in Redmond, I try to get there... FAST. So my wife, toddler son, and I went there last night for dinner instead of cooking. The pics are from my phone, so they are kinda... not good. Anyway, Silver Spoon is in a strip mall surround by beautiful forests that are quickly being chopped down to make room for more generic houses on Redmond Ridge. It's a nice looking strip mall, to be sure. The corner of the building has a nice sign, so it's easy to find and the parking is good. When you walk in the front door, you're greated by a beautiful large tropical fish tank and several Thai folks in Hawaiian shirts. It's not all generic like one you'd see at Md D's or your Dr's office. It's actually nice. The restaurant decor is much nicer than your average Thai shop. They have nice dark grain woods and they actually put some thought in to comfortable dining instead of the over-the-top decor you see at a lot of Thai places. I also like that they have a central kitchen you can look in to and see that it's immaculate instead of sketchy. Also, they have a live pianist there instead of the annoying canned Thai music common to many places. It was mellow and nice. My son enjoyed watching it. Anyway, we got a nice corner both. One thing I noticed right away was the unique menus. They are kind of a horizontal flip book with lots of good pictures... Not the teriyaki shop style pictures, but appetizing pictures of the food. It's a nice way to get you hungry. We picked some Satay, Phad Thai and something called "Garlic." The wait staff was very speed and attentive without being overbearing. The presentation was universally better than average. We started with Satay. It was generic, but not bad. I would have preferred a little less turmeric and a little more heat. Peanut sauce was sweet, but not overpowering. I like the cucumber salad that came with it. It had an unusual nice kick to it. Just when we'd run out of food, they brought on the phad Thai and "Garlic". The Phad Thai was on the brown side for me, but quite tolerable. A little sweet, but that's b/c my wife insists on 1 star. I added some chile sauce and it got better. The "Garlic" was clearly King that night though. It was sauteed chicken covered in GARLIC along with some snow peas and carrots in a thin garlic-oyster sauce. My wife and I arm wrestled for it this morning for our work lunch. Sadly, I have not been working out, so I will be eating some broiler bay. So, all in all, it's a pretty nice experience. I'd head out there if I were in the neighborhood. It's nice to have an option instead of driving in to Bellevue. I've got a few more to try in Redmond proper, but this is not a bad choice. Next time I'm going to try the pineapple fried rice and a curry. The rice looked really good when it was sitting on my neighbor's table. Also, I'm going to start working out so I have a chance to win the leftovers next time.
(4)Mary K.
I've only come here once, but it's good enough to warrant more visits to check out other dishes on the menu. Service is also great and very attentive. I had a red curry dish with duck which was really, really good! My hubby, a garlic beef dish, which wasn't as good as we expected. Actually, we were expecting it to be more like cut steak rather than just beef. Oh well. Still, the dish itself wasn't as tasty or garlicky as we thought it should be. We also had the sampler appetizer dish which was pretty good as well. Prices were ok, just a wee bit steep, a wee I said, but it matches the wonderful service and food, just not our budget, lol. But they even gave us extra rice to go with our take home, yay! I didn't have to cook more rice at home. Two minor caveats: 1) Our take home food was not well sealed in the container, leaking out throughout the bag, so now our CR-V smells like red curry! 2) Why in the world does it have to be out so far out from civilization? I would go back once in a blue moon if craving good Thai food in a nice, clean setting.
(4)Meagan W.
Really fresh,so good! We love Noodle Boat in Issaquah, but this is an awesome alternative!!! Yum!
(4)Mike L.
We just moved down the street from this restaurant. Seems like there's always a neighborhood Thai restaurant wherever we move. Nonetheless, it was inevitable to try this place out. My girlfriend picked up some food on the way home one night. We tried some usuals to see if they were any good. Chicken Pad Thai was excellent as was the Garlic Beef. We'll be sure to try more menu items and probably dine in next time.
(4)Lauren U.
This is why I love it - I have very high standards for Thai food, because I love it. Silver Spoon is one of my top 2 Thai restaurants I've tried. 1. Because the menu is diverse and has my favorite dishes, such as Pad Kee Mao and Cashew Chicken 2. Because the flavors are incredible and they put plenty of different veggies in their dishes 3. And because the ambience is great. While I find those thai restaurants with random Thai decor and peeling paint endearing, Silver Spoon not only looks classy, but has a weekly piano player and awesome staff. Its definitely a neighborhood favorite - but if you find yourself up Novelty Hill one day you should really check it out.
(5)Anne R.
Our favorite Thai restaurant. Nice ambiance, friendly, efficient waitstaff. Food is always tasty and well done, haven't been disappointed yet. This seems to be a well managed restaurant.
(5)Andrea P.
We have been about 5 times and done a mix of dine in and carry out. I wouldn't trust carry out. I checked the order at the restaurant and it had to be fixed then when we got home it was wrong again! Total Bummer. The food is good, once they get the order correct. Red Curry, Coconut Soup and Papaya Salad are things I would order again.
(4)Taters M.
This place has terrific Thai food. Even though it is located in a strip mall, the quality and general style of Silver Spoon is perfect for a casual but nice weeknight dining experience. I was really skeptical at first. It's in a strip mall a few doors down from a McDonald's and ... I dunno ... the sign for it looks better suited for an antique toy store or candy shop, not a Thai restaurant. It just kinda looks cheesy. But it's great, is my point. It definitely borders on the traditional Thai spicy. They ask you for to rate your spice preference from 1 to 5. I asked for a 2, and it was right on the edge between pleasingly spicy and too hot. If you are big man who likes to prove his manliness by doing stupid things, be careful with your spice levels here. A level 5 might kill you. It's insanely hot. Anyway, to sum up: 1. Nice and simple 2. Impressive 3. Fantastic curries and noodle dishes 4. Moderately affordable.
(4)Sean Z.
All I want to do today is eat at Silver Spoon! I want to dress like Yul Brynner in "The King and I " and stick a funnel in my mouth so that the wait staff can compact spicy, flavorful thai food down into my stomach like a cobra! They probably would do this for me too because they are the warmest waiters and waitresses I've encountered in a long long time. These people do it right so if you want good thai food, no question, you should go to them. My favorite restaurant!
(5)Dave B.
Extensive menu, have tried many of the selections, most have been really good. Friendly staff. Live piano music is a nice touch when dining in. This place is always packed...nice to see.
(4)Paul B.
This place is delicious. My favorite thai restaurant is in Ballard but I would recommend Silver Spoon to anyone in Redmond. The service is friendly and the price and the menu is pretty standard. They do a good job of keeping true to thai spiciness so try a lower star/spice level to start, unless you LOVE spicy asian food. Happy eating! :)
(4)Andrea Z.
Good food. If I am out in Redmond, I like to stop here. Ordered their chicken skewers with peanut sauce for a party this weekend and everyone loved it. I could drink the peanut sauce as a soup, I am a huge fan!
(4)Linda K.
The food here is consistently good, love the soups and duck curry. Service is good, friendly waitstaff. Some evenings there is a piano player. Normally, I'm not a fan but it works here and it's a nice touch.
(4)Tristan D.
This was a solid 4 to 4.5 star place for the first few years it was open, and that definitely showed in our budget - at one point, we were eating here at least once a week and my wife was on a first name basis with the host.. their pad thai was excellent. Then, on our last couple visits, something had changed - the pad thai was really oily and the curry wasn't as good as it had been - not sure if it's changes in the kitchen or what, but this place certainly lost some of it's luster (and I probably lost a couple pounds). Super cute ambience, the piano is a very nice touch, but I just can't get over the decline in the food from yay to OK.
(3)Claudia L.
We live in the same neighborhood as Silver Spoon and have dined there many times over the last five years. We went last night for dinner and we were disapointed in many different aspects. It was a busy night and we waited much longer than usual for our order to be taken and to receive our appetizers. Once we got our calamari it was an usually small portion. We asked our server about it and she claimed they have always served this much. She did not offer to give any additional appetizers or discount our meals in any way. We waited longer than usual for our main dishes also. They were brought out in three separate waves. I waited more than five minutes after the first entrees were served for mine to arrive. Once my dinner was there it was not worth it's cost (12.59). I had trout and there was not much edible fish between skin and bones in it. Very disapointed overall. Don't know if we'll be back.
(2)Scott S.
I have been here probably 5 times, and its always very fresh and tasty. Their curry is always delicious and I'm not even really a curry guy. Their 1-5 star spicyness level is pretty accurate, even though 5 star isn't as spicy as I'd like, but I'm a weirdo. Excellent service and friendly staff every time.
(4)Darren B.
I haven't eaten in the restaurant but I like to stop on my way home and pick up some food to go... I like the Phad Thai but their "hot" is nothing... I would like to see them kick it up several notches... From the reviews it looks like I need to request the "hotter then you normally make a 5 start". I also enjoy the Thai Iced Tea. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
(4)Bryan W.
Best all around restaurant in the area. Great food, great prices, great service, how could you go wrong. We take the kids there about half the time they go and they just love the Chicken Phad Thai. My fav is the Hot Basil with a little kick to it. HIGHLY recommended.
(4)don s.
We first ate at Silver Spoon soon after they opened. Despite the 10 mile drive from our home, we eat there at least once a month. This is everything the other reviewers have noted - and they have live music most weekend evenings. As one who has lived and worked in SE Asia for many years, this comes closer to what I expect from a Thai restaurant than any of the others in this area that I've tried. The food is excellent, the service impeccable, the ambiance perfect. Whether it's for a date or a family outing, this is a great place to go. Special things to try: Appetizer #11 (the spinach leaves), any of the hot teas, #42 Garlic, and any of the house specials. The only downside (if there is one) is the satay pieces are much bigger than what you get in Malaysia, Singapore, or Indonesia, so the seasoning doesn't go all the way through.
(5)William M.
One of my favorite places for Thai, they do a great job here, food is always tasty. Great variety on the menu as well.
(4)Sim M.
Nice and sleek restaurant, good food.
(3)Jennifer D.
Ate dinner here Friday night with a group. The ambiance was great- they had a couple musicians in the corner of the room and the place was nicely decorated. My meal was great- I am not much of a Thai food connoisseur so I had the cashew chicken with white rice. The others at my table were much more adventurous and all really enjoyed their dishes too. The only issue I had was that I felt a bit rushed to finish, but not a big deal at all.
(4)Bob V.
Great food. Fair Prices. Good Service. They sometimes have a piano player and singer going. It is a small place and sometimes that gets a bit loud. And the squeeze a lot of people into the place. So you don't have a lot of room between you and your neighbor diners. Good place. Fairly kid friedly.
(4)Erin J.
Realllllyyy good thai. It helps that it is right next to my work in the boonies of Redmond but the food is always great and the service is even better. If you're in the area and are looking for a nice thai place in a nice venue I would check it out.
(4)Katie C.
I would have given Silver Spoon a better review if our last visit hadn't gone so badly. The first time we ate here was fantastic- the restaurant is beautiful and clean, and the food is really great (especially for the price!). The garlic tofu, the jungle curry, even the simple stir-fry and fresh rolls were all fantastic. I've gotten take-out here 3 or 4 times and it was always great. The reason I bumped it down to 3 stars was the fact that our second visit was a disaster. We came by around 5pm one day for dinner- the restaurant was less than half-full. We waited a long time to be seated- but instead of seating us in the main area, my fiance and I were put at a table in a corrider between 2 tables PACKED with screaming children. I have no idea why we weren't seated in the main area away from the noisy families. After being seated, we didn't see our waitress for at least 10 minutes, when she came by to fill our water glasses, and then left without taking our orders. We stared at each other in disbelief, gave it another 5 minutes, and then walked out. I've never walked out of a restaurant like that before, but it didn't seem like we were ever going to get any attention (or food!). So our last visit didn't go well, but I'll give them another shot- the food is REALLY yummy. And if nothing else, take-out is easy enough!

Good food but terrible customer service! We wrote our order out on the back of a coupon and sent with a family member to pick up an order to go. They accidently gave us two of the same thing and not our one most important dish (the one for are 5-year-old, her favorite and the only thing she will eat) When the food got home our 5-year-old was very upset, so we called the restaurant and explained what had happened. At first they refused to do anything about but since we had written down on a coupon they still had they agreed to give us the order they messed up only if we brought back the thing they gave us wrong in the first place. So we drove all the back there from Carnation. When I got there they we very rude and took the dish back and put it with their other to go orders, I thought they would have to throw it way. Then they only gave us a half portion of food. We ordered all of our food 1 star and the rest of our food was mild but the replacement dish was so hot no one could eat. We will not be going back!

This is as good as it gets with Thai Food. I have never seen a staff so attentive to our needs as a customer. The moment my glass was half way empty of water. A staff member would stop by and fill it up. I never had a class half full. (no pun intended). We have gone many times. They have an interesting way of serving you. In a normal restaurant you have a waiter or waitress that takes your order, gets your drinks and food. at Silver Spoon, they have somebody take your order. 5 different people filled up my glass of water, and somebody else get my food. The manager even stopped by to see how we are doing. We have gone back many times and I know this place will be a favorite of mine for years to come.

Silver Spoon is a very clean restaurant with great service. The food always comes quickly and fresh. The food is normally very good but is not consistent which can be disappointing at times. But not enough to keep us away. They have great lunch specials. One of our favorites is the Garlic Basil Chicken, no heavy sauce just great flavor. But their curry is good too. If you are new to Thai food or don't like it too spicy, tell them one star or no stars, they can be a bit heavy handed with the red pepper. On some evenings they have a young man playing the baby grand piano which is really nice. Be sure and give him a tip if you enjoy his music.

Great quality food. Some of the best take-out Thai food I've had.

Awsome food with excellent service. These people bend over backwards for their customers. Piano and singer on weekends, a great place to go for Thai.
