I came here last night with my wife and cousin. The restaurant was about half full, and I was quite excited to give the place a go. After being seated the waitress was quick to grab our drink orders. She was also on top of grabbing our meal orders as well. So it was safe to say the dinner experience was going well. Things slowly started to go south. There was a couple sitting beside us that were yelling at eachother. I wasn't intentionally eavesdropping, since they were shouting 3 feet away from us, but it seemed to be in regards to the gentleman having friended some women on Facebook and denying the fact that he did so.. and his date continually threatening to leave him at the restaurant once she verifies that he was lying... but.. let's get back to the REAL dining experience. My wife wasn't all that hungry, so she grabbed two items off the appetizer menu. She ordered the garganzola fries and the Sriracha buffalo wings. My cousin ordered the Sloppy Joe's and I had the chicken and waffles. The food came out in good time and everything "looked" great. We all shared the garganzola fries, and they were very delicious! The portion was enough for three to enjoy. After the fries, I was excited to try the rest of our meal. I cut into my waffle and could quickly tell that it was undercooked and doughy (soggy). This was before I put any syrup on it whatsoever. The chicken was not bad, but I definitely wouldn't order it again. For $17 I expected a lot better. My wife had this look on her face, and I could tell that the buffalo wings were not appetizing. I tried one to get a feel for what she was experiencing. I will say, those wings were not good... At all. At this point, my wife and I are mentally checked out, but that still left my cousin. He loved his sloppy joe sandwich. He ate it all in the blink of an eye (but he is also a 17 year old that would eat food out of a dumpster). To end the night, our waitress knocked over a bottle of hot sauce, which shatters near our feet. She shouted terms not appropriate in a working environment, but I mean.. we're all human. In conclusion, my overall rating is a 2.5, rounded down to a 2. I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend.

I had the grilled artichoke and the sloppy Joe for lunch. And, I had the meatballs for dinner. The artichoke was very good. The chipotle aioli was a good accompaniment. The sloppy Joe was amazing. It isn't the kiddie version as this one carries some heat (sweet and savory) and the Coleslaw that comes with it adds flavor and some cooling. The meatballs were also very tasty and offered a little heat. They have a good selection of beer, and a full bar. Service was great. I am not a dessert fan but they looked great.

Used to be better. Waited for a table for awhile, slow service. Too expensive for the food quality. (Not bad food, just bad prices) Small servings (salad was TINY and came with the meal not before it.) We won't be coming back anytime soon.

A great local place, fresh food, delicious food. Great drinks and appears a good happy hour. We came in for dinner. She had the sirloin, I had the Lobster Mac. Started with a couple drinks and the made to order guac and chips. Service was great. Place was busy, we lucked out and got seated promptly. There's often a long wait at dinner, but worth it. Stop in and try one of my favorites. The Dude - 16oz rib eye! The Meatballs Honey Sriracha wings Mamas Sloppy joes (spicy) Chicken n waffles. All top notch. Steaks are seasoned perfectly.

1st heard about Crocketts on Diners, Drive ins,and Dives. Definitely well worth the hype. The pork belly appetizer was fantastic! A little sweet, a little crunchy, a little spicy, and gone too quickly! My wifes sloppy joe was moist, flavorful, spicy but not too wet. My Crunch burger of roasted pork was all i could hope for. Moist pork with jalepeno potato chips and bbq sauce. Mmm. Definitely will stop here again.

I love this little gem in downtown Puyallup. Have been multiple times and it never fails to be anything but superb. We even did our engagement dinner here! Only down side to this place is the fact that they don't take reservations. But you can enjoy a delicious cocktail while waiting and that's exactly what we did ! I have enjoyed some fish here that was delicious and cooked just right . Last time I went I enjoyed the artichokes which have been raved about by my friends . They were delicious and the dipping sauce had just the right amount of kick . For dinner I did a grilled cheese and tomato soup that I added avocado to. It was gooey on the inside & crunchy on the outside. Perfectly grilled sourdough bread that both my son & I enjoyed. The soup had little chunks of fresh tomato & crunchy house made croutons that softened up nicely . I highly recommend this place but know you might have a 30-45 minute wait . The staff is always friendly and the food is always top notch

I wasn't real impressed with the food, the clams lacked flavor and the meatballs were alright. The chips and pico and guacamole were ok too. BUT The bar tender was super nice and attentive even though they were slammed, next time I'll go in for just a beer or their delicious key lime martini.

This was our second trip here and this gastro pub continues to astound us. Their service and food are both excellent. We recommend the grilled artichoke, candied pork belly, and kale Cesar salad. The burgers are also very tasty and I really like being able to get a reasonably priced whiskey flight.

OK overall: I sat at the bar and ordered a bloody marry since everyone seem to be happy and ordering them here. It is on the expensive side for the location. It was tasty and was topped well but for $11....I could have gotten a fantastic burger topped one in Cap Hill. So in opportunity cost, kind of expensive for a bloody marry. I ordered my lunch: 3 side burgers, buffalo chicken wings, and the lobster pasta. I have to say, the pasta was pretty good and not fishy at all. That's the one thing I fear when ordering seafood since if it is cheap, it tastes fishy. But the pasta was good and lobster tasting with a nice butter sauce!! yum. The burgers were a bit dry and simple and the chicken wings were quite disappointing. It was not hot and not crispy so it just felt plain in flavor and mushy in texture. The atmosphere was very open and clean. The service was friendly and available. I like the place but the apps were not impressive. I want to give 4 stars just because of the overall experience and service but I didn't feel the value for what I purchased.

Interesting place. I got mine to go because I had to go back to work and was sharing with a friend. The burger was quite good. My friend tried the loaded gorgonzola fries and I tried a bite. Wow!! Big flavor. I tried the meatloaf as well as the grilled artichoke heart. Also have had the brisket taco. The meatloaf is good it has a spicy kick to it. The brisket taco had about 10 jalapenos with seeds in it so for me it was a little over the top on the fire scale but if you like heat I could see someone being a big fan of Crockett's. The food is very big and in your face. The grilled artichoke was good, it has a real smoky taste but kind of an odd menu item considering everything else that is available. The parking is a huge issue. One of the reasons I got it to go. If I have to fight parking to get my food its a total let down for me.

Came here for lunch. OMG! Finally a place that lives up to the hype. Everything was great from the food to the drinks! I'm ready to return to try something new. Can't wait for family and friends to visit as we will be dining here. Adults and kids all were pleased. Great service, great food and great atmosphere.

Nice place but their Honey Siracha wings wasn't as good as I hope it will be. I asked for extra crispy but it came out extra soggy and without any dipping sauce. The coleslaw that came with it was horrible as well.

Parking difficult but worth the effort as the food is delicious. loaded fries recommended with gorgonzola (probably even better with bacon but was being good today). Salmon cooked perfectly. Crispy skin but moist and tender. worth trying again

I'm surprised they have 4/5 stars. I'd give them 6 if I could. I brought my crew here to eat and was surprised to eat the best steak and clams I've ever eaten! Seriously I didn't want to finish my food because I wanted to eat it later too haha. That good. Staff was amazing and nice and enthusiastic about the menu. Especially Emily and Lena, they are our regular bartenders and are amazing. Highly recommend!

As a local foodie, I had high hopes for Crockett's since they tout themselves as using fresh, local ingredients. I was surprised the waitress couldn't tell me where the tomatoes for the tomato side salad were from (since it's too early to get large local tomatoes). We ordered the crispy zucchini appetizer which turned out to be mostly crispy breading (the zucchini inside was the thinnest sliver ever). I ordered the Kale Caesar Salad - awesome! - and the Bacon Bacon Burger (without the bun) and it was very tasty; the bacon jam was delicious! The house made coleslaw was tasty as well, but way overdressed (I brought my leftovers home to add more cabbage). My friends ordered the BLT and the Memphis BBQ burger and were happy. The server was nice and didn't rush us, until the she was leaving her shift and wanted to cash out our checks. There was some cleaning going on in the restaurant or bar around 11pm that involved bleach - not the best environment to enjoy our meal. All in all, our meal was good. I didn't feel it was over priced for what was on our plates, especially if the ingredients were, indeed, local. We were seated as soon as we came in the door, around 9:15pm on Saturday evening; there were several tables available and parking out back.

In the past I have come in for breakfast which is always tasty but I came in for lunch today and I was thoroughly pleased. The wait was a bit long but I think that is a byproduct of how good this place is. The fresh sourdough and butter is a delicious appetizer to hold you over while waiting for your meal. Once your order is placed, you aren't kept waiting too long. I ordered the green chile burger which they cooked to perfection and served with fresh cut French fries. Everything was very filling and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and quick, and they had a solid beer selection. If you are in the Puyallup area and looking for a tasty meal in a cool venue, this is the spot for you!

Wow! They got some really good burgers at Crocketts! I got the Green Chile burger. No. It isn't Green Chile sauce that is on the burger but hot, spicy peppers that add the punch to this paticular burger. The beef patty was a dream, cooked perfectly! They have a fine list of beers on tap and a cocktail bar set up that was ready to make even the trickiest drinks. The place was extremely busy! Probably because it was a Friday night and the wait was long for large parties. It was just me on this outing and they told me it would be about a 25 minute wait but they seated me in under 10 minutes. Wow again! That's service!

Came here with a bunch of friends yesterday. Service was great and the food was awesome! Clean bathrooms and atmosphere as well. I had the club sandwich and the food portions and price are great for a meal and a leftover to take home to enjoy the next day!

One of our food stops during our visit to a supplier in "pew - all - up" who had made reservations for our lunch venue. I was unsure of the selection of this restaurant as it was one that Guy Fieri had selected on Triple D as I have had previous negative experiences at several other restaurants throughout the United States that he has recommended. However, keeping an open mind, I selected the Sloppy Joe which is one of three items that GF recommended on the menu as well as I had not had a SJ in many years. After taking my first bite, Guy was spot on with this particular item as the sauce had a unique taste unlike the traditional SJ sauce that one is accustomed to. I think what make this unique is the combo of both pork and beef ingredients and tangy sauce along with the sprinkling of onion rings on the toasted bun. The portion was just right and in no time, I was done eating it! This place is popular with locals and tourists alike and I definitely will come back here if I am ever in the area.

I ordered the chicken and waffles, and it was amazing! The chicken was juicy and crispy and the portions were large! The waffles were coated in cinnamon and came with a side of butter and syrup. Seriously disappointed in this place. We decided to try this place after several previous attempts and we don't be coming back. I got the shrimp taco and 1side. I paid almost 10 dollars for 3 small pieces of shrimp sitting on about 1/2 cup a pico and cabbage on a soggy corn tortilla. I tried to pick it up and it fell apart so I ate it with a fork. The fries were... well fries. Oh and when they ask you if you want sauce on the side, they'll charge you without letting you know there's a fee when asking. My husband got the two by four burger and it fell apart once he picked it up. Like wouldn't stay on the bun. He asked for medium well and got medium rare. We were sitting in the bar and the gal was running around. Slightly hard to get her attention so he just put up with what he could. The slaw he got on the side was not to his liking. Was not worth $16.99 in our books. The best thing was the lemonade which was homemade. The flat bread appetizer was okay, a learning experience as we found we don't like onion jam however this is not there fault. What bothered me the most is the waitress saw we had most of our food left and did not bother to ask us how it was, if we needed anything ect. We felt it would just be better to get the check. 42 bucks for a burger, measly shrimp taco, flat bread and a lemonade? I won't be back.

Bottom Line Up Front: long waits, poor parking, so so food and above average prices make this the "I ate there once and awhile" place. Also Guy Fairy don't know crap about making meatballs and neither does Crockett. First, find a parking spot. No srsly go find one. I'll wait........ Next, wait some more especially if you come on the weekend for dinner since this is supposedly the only place you can get a decent meal in DT Puya *newsflash* try HG Bistro once in awhile, or that overpriced pasta place that was once a coffee shop that nobody ever went to. Or go eat bfast at Roses. Finally, pay extra for mediocre reality TV host endorsed food. Then tell everyone how good it was so you don't feel ripped off or bamboozled for falling into the Crocketts trap. If you must go - Park at the municipal lot two blocks south on the other side of the train tracks. Have a Langunitas and some garlic fries then sneak out the back door. Leave a decent tip for the overworked waitstaff.

The food here was good American cuisine. The clams were good had a good flavor but a little over cooked. I did dip my bread in the juice and enjoyed every bite. The shrimp tacos were good would order them again but I can get them some where else and would taste the same . I would like to come back to to try their breakfast.

A friend recommended this place. Two of us had never eaten there before and we all three had very different but very good dinners. None of the food is usual, even if it has a usual name. They have their own way of preparing dishes and judging by the crowd on a Tuesday night - most everyone likes what they do in the kitchen. The only reason I am not giving them five stars was their lemonade signature cocktail. It was just too sweet.

Tried this place with my boyfriend tonight for the first time, good experience overall. He had a burger that had the perfect amount of pink and I had the grilled cheese and it was delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive. My only complaints are that the Buffalo wings, while very well prepared, should say on the menu that they are mild. Really no heat at all and the menu said "classic." Classic Buffalo wings should have a healthy kick and if you complain about the heat... Don't order Buffalo wings. Also, advertised happy hour all day on Sunday which was a factor in our deciding to pick the place, but this is only offered in their very small bar. Otherwise great place and we will be back, just not for the wings.

Crockett's has become one of my favorite places to eat in the area! I have been here for breakfast, dinner, and happy hour. Parking can suck, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. Also, they don't take reservations so the wait can be long depending on when you go. The chicken and waffles were the first thing I tried. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the accompanying cinnamon waffle was ginormous. The hot sauce was the perfect complement to all of it. As delicious as the chicken and waffles were, the bacon, egg, and cheddar breakfast sandwich really stood out. I think it was the onion jam that really made it special! Everything I've had here has been pretty good. Whatever you order make sure to wash it all down with the lavender lemonade (also great with vodka)!

My other half and I went there for the forst time the other night. Service was great and the food.. The food was AMAZING. I had The Dude 16oz ribeye stake. My BF had the top serloin, both stakes prepared wonderfully. They were juicy and covered in the right seasoning. They came with potatoes but they were cooked like I've never had them before. The outside was crispy and tasted like a potato chip and the inside was warm and soft. Like good food go there. But just keep in mind were theres good food theres a wait. We were told 30 mins only took 10.

Great local place. They were really friendly and quick to service. Had to try the sloppy Joes but didn't want French fries and they were nice enough to let me have zucchini instead. Looks like they had plenty of craft beer on tap and would recommend any other traveler to stop in for a meal or drink when in the area.

After reading all the great Yelp reviews Crockett's was a must try for Breakfast, and it did not disappoint! Our group of 7 had a sample of almost everything on the breakfast menu, and found everything delicious. A few stand out meals were the Fried Chicken Biscuit Sandwich with a maple mustard aioli which was just as good as any southern fried chicken, and biscuits I've had The Dungeness Crab Hash which had giant pieces of crab all throughout the hash. Overall you will pay a little more for breakfast at Crockett's but it's a cool atmosphere, and the food is well worth the price.

Dad and I came here for our weekly daddy & daughter breakfast when our usual joint was just too packed! Crockett's is AMAZING! I had the Dungeness Crab Eggs Benedict, and it was phenomenal. Scratch made hollandaise sauce, meaty and healthy portion of crab, with no surprise shell bits left behind! Wilted spinach and a perfect English muffin, and a perfectly poached egg! Dad had chicken fried steak with mushroom gravy, which was beyond unique and flavorful! Cheesy grits and home fries were our side dishes and we both couldn't agree more that we will be frequently visiting Crockett's Public House to try out some more of their homemade cookin'! Staff was great, prompt and friendly, Great job!

A few business associates and I were in the area from out of state, and ate here after being urged by some of the locals. Parking is a little rough around the restaurant. There is a parking lot, but it was jam packed with cars. Not being from the area we didn't know any other areas that would be convenient so we grabbed a spot on the street not that far away from the restaurant. We were lucky and seated as a group pretty quickly. The staff is amazingly friendly, from the hostess to the waitstaff. The vibe of the place is really great with great decor, and a nice feel. All of us had the flight of beers they were offering, with some being better than others. The food was better than the typical bar/pub but not blow you out of the water amazing. For great service, good beer, great vibe, and good food this is the place. And from what I understand, not a lot of other really good options in this general area. I'd definitely go back!

After seeing Crocketts featured on Triple D (Diners, Drive ins and Dives), we just had to eat there. We live in Orting so Crocketts was close by in Puyallup. It's fairly busy as you would expect a place with good food and a nice bar and the parking can be tricky, but it's well worth it. Our favorite appetizer is the fried zucchini. While we've had regular "tavern" style fried zucchini, Crockett's is miles above that with beautifully fried strips of zucchini and the dipping sauce... WOW! Then it's on to our favorite burger or the seafood chowder. All the food is top notch and they do live up to their reputation. It's a fun atmosphere with seating in the bar area and plenty of tables and booths. If you do come during a busy time, expect a slight delay and wait, but it's worth it! Always look forward to our next visit.

Between coworkers really talking up this place and seeing on "Diners, Drive-Ins, And Dives", I think I was just expecting too much when we came here. We got the Crockett's House-Cut Fries with Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce and Bacon Crumbles - This was one of the highlights of the meal. The boyfriend got the Fried Chicken and Waffles, I got the Meatballs. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't BAD, it just wasn't earth-shatteringly good either. The Butterscotch Bourbon Pudding was THE BEST. Between that and the fries, that's the main reason I gave it a four instead of a three and this is the reason we're going back. We will try something new from the entrée section, but we are DEFINITELY getting the fries and pudding again.

Service was slow and the waitress appeared to be angry (not sure why). I ordered a mimosa that was mostly OJ so already not a great start. After placing my appetizer order the waitress came back to the table to tell me the kitchen was slammed and my food might take a while. I waited 20 mins for an order of chicken wings that came out soggy. FYI the prices are way too high for bar type food in downtown Puyallup. Just because Diners, Drive-in and Dive's shot an episode there shouldn't mean you ask for $16.99 for 3 meatballs appetizer!!! I've had way better food and service for less money.

Service was very slow and they were not even busy. The waitress seemed confused. We had to ask for things a couple of times. My kids didn't get a kids menus and we were left guessing on what to order and when we asked the waitress if they had certain items she wasn't sure and had to check, but by that time we were so tired of waiting we just ordered some appetizers to share. Our strawberry lemonade a were sour and had to ask and wait for a sugar packet to sweeten them up. When we did receive our food it was very good but the fries were over salted.

Oh my yummy stars do I love this place. The service was absolutely Devine and the food, heavenly. We had the meatballs; and I swear if you closed your eyes while taking your first bite you'd think you were in Italy. Menu looked good but management didn't schedule enough servers to provide appropriate customer service. Sat for 15 minutes before getting attention, asked for our drink order but when we said water was fine, waitress hurried away before we could even get her to take our food order. Five minutes later I flag down the waitress who asked if we wanted a drink (alcohol was flowing well at 10 in the morning) but started to walk away when we declined. I asked if she could just take our order for food but she hadn't been trained on the register?!? Sunday's is ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR!! We ordered the $5 Calamari which was amazing but we noticed that a nearby table had ordered the $5 Fried Zucchini and it was HUGE and delicious looking!!! Oh Sweet Baby Jesus, how did I forget to review this restaurant?! I must have lost my mind from the amazing food, drinks, and service. I came here back in March 2015 as the hostess of a large work function. We always do a big dinner when we travel and Crockett's made our common work dinner uncommonly good. I was very impressed with the quality of service provided to my group, but I was blown away by my dinner. I had fried chicken and waffles...the most exquisite, delicious, perfectly crispy, perfectly tender, most amazing chicken and waffles I have ever had the pleasure to eat. I will never have chicken & waffles this good ever again, but I'm not sad. I am grateful that I got to even taste them, and know what chicken & waffles are supposed to taste like. Have you seen "So I Married An Axe Murderer"? Of course you have. Remember the scene when Charlie's dad is describing Col Sanders? Of course you do. Why does he hate The Colonel? "Because he puts an addictive chemical that makes you crave it fortnightly, Smartass!" In regards to Crockett's chicken, A truer statement has never been said.

Been here twice now! All of our servers have been above and beyond fantastic - super attentive and offering suggestions and also personable bartenders. The food was fantastic. The all day Sunday Happy Hour offers Cheap but TASTY options that won't hurt your wallet. We have had the sliders, the kettle corn, the fried zucchini, the sloppy joe and the garlic fries and everything has been just DELISH. Took us right to flavor town. Speaking of "Flavortown" - Guy Fieri has featured on DDD and he suggests the Sloppy Joe (a little like a spicy BBQ), and also the meatballs & artichoke. Went here at night and had to park on the side of the restaurant. Kinda dark and smelly. BUT!!! it's worth it! We orders artichoke, which is BOMB! 5stars!! Then grilled cheese sandwich 4 stars, it came with tomato soup! Yum! Sloppy joe 3 stars. Baby back ribs 5stars!! It came with the best baby potatoes I've ever had!! I'm addicted to the bacon burger. No really, I went to crocketts 3 days in a row and had the bacon burger every time. It comes with blue cheese on it but I also asked for a side of blue cheese because I'm also addicted to their blue cheese dressing. They make all but one of their dressings in house I was told. The blue cheese has possibly a hint of garlic in it which sets it apart. The burger comes on some sort of awesome bun with a sweet relish on it that sets it apart. Was very disappointed with our meal. I have had very good luck triple D places around the country so was looking forward to it. The pork belly for starter was very good. The green chili burger had very nice toppings but the burger itself was dry not seasoned and tasted like old meat. Fries were limp and cold. The tomato soup was thick as a can of condensed soup with no water. Did get a good laugh when the waitress asked us if we wanted a box for our soup. Also had the chicken and waffles. Waffle was very good the chicken had a nice crunch and was cooked well but the oil it was cooked in had not been changed in awhile. The entire meal was over priced for what you got and none of us finished our meals. We will not go back.

The only knock I see on other reviews for this place are the perception of high prices. No, the quality and preparation is top notch and that comes with a premium. This ain't Denny's or Bumpy's. I have yet to have a bad meal here. You have to try the shrimp and grits. I'm from the south, and they're the best I've ever had--and I've eaten at the top restaurants in Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA. The happy hour is amazing, and they do not skimp on the alcohol in their drinks. Also, the brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings is a must! They're coffee is smooth and strong and they're breakfast tacos are to die for.

If you want a consistent experience and quality Crocketts is a great place to put on your list of places to frequent. It's has a cool rustic vibe to the decor and exterior. I've been a few times now and have never been disappointed. The food is great. Highly recommend the sloppy Joe, the club and burgers. The lobster mac'n'cheese is good but I personally don't think it's worth the price. The service is good and the food comes out in a timely manner.

We ordered the Crunch Burger (pulled pork, and with a nice little kick, mmm!), the Flagship Burger, which I ordered medium well and it was still so juicy, and the signature Sloppy Joe, which was also just a little spicy, and really good! Coconut Key Lime Martini was delicious - and strong! The cole slaw was killer!!! Pretty sure it had horseradish in it but was still sweet...and SO good!! Katie was our server, and she was wonderful. Very informative, friendly, and we never had to ask for anything!! The place is crowded, plays classic rock, but still you can easily hold a conversation...and still, she never forgot about us :) We're definitely going back, as there were so many good choices on the menu and we can't wait to try them all.

Really enjoyed my experience at Crockett's! It had a nice rustic decor with energetic staff. The place was really busy for a Wednesday night but plenty of room at the bar next to the tub of beer on ice! I was tempted to just grab and serve myself but i managed to refrain :) The menu has a large, random selection of various fusion type dishes. No real theme other than burgers and other items that tempt the taste buds! The burger I had was massive and tasty! Cooked medium as requested with lots of toppings and a good brioche bun! Just went by this evening for dinner. I'm in town for work and was going to seek this place out as it was close by to where I was staying and had gotten great reviews both for the beer and the food. Luckily for me, my coworkers that were also in town had made reservations for the "banquet room" for dinner. We showed up around 5:45 at which point the place was already starting to get busy. We had time to get drinks at the bar before being seated in the more private room in the back. Service was attentive and it was smart and convenient of them to leave jugs of water on the table for us to refill. The food was tasty, 3 of my coworkers went with the meatball dish that they're apparently known for and none left any on their plate/bowl. Myself and 2 others got tacos which we also enjoyed as well. I ordered the fish, chicken and steak tacos, of the 3 the bbq steak was probably my least fav (the bbq was just overly sweet to me) while the other 2 were excellent. Beer wise they had 5-6 local offerings on tap and the beer flight option was nice. My only gripe was that apparently they have an in house conditioned ale that's offered but only on Thursdays.

We didn't know, but this place has been featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. For good reason too. First we got cocktails. They were all different, and all delicious! Great place for lunch! We found it via Yelp, and the reviews were right on! But, for a town that boasts the Puyallup Fair and lots of fast food, this is a great treat for "real" food. We ordered the toasted cheese sandwich, tomato soup and fries. All were delicious. Their happy hour offers a selection of appetizers at a reduced price. A great way to sample some of their smaller items. You also get $1 off each beverage. Its apparent that parking can be difficult. The building is only half a block off the main drag of Meridian, and you come upon it quickly. Most of the easy parking is behind the building in a large lot that seems to service several other shops. We were advised by the wait staff that if you park in slots labeled reserved, though, the other building owners will likely have you towed, so be careful.

Both times I've been here. Food is delicious! Service was great! Some unique cocktails. Sweet potato fries (are addictive) especially if you request dipping sauces. Great music hello, pretty good atmosphere, pretty good food. I had the green chili burger, it was pretty good, huge. The spicy sauce is really what made it. My fiance had the sloppy Joe burger, it was super tender meat and very good he said. Also he said the sauce was the best he'd had. The fries I got because of the reviews. I thought they were 3 bucks also so that's why as well but they were 10 bucks with all the toppings. I definitely wouldn't have added the cheese knowing the price was more for it, it was an acquired taste. Very good overall, friendly server.

My first visit to Crockett's Public House was a pleasure. I wanted some corned beef hash for breakfast. The kitchen opens at 8 on the weekends. I wasn't disappointed. I want to give Crockett's more stars, I really do. The ambiance is nice, I like the open kitchen concept and the service was stellar. All that said, the food just doesn't live up to the high expectations set by everything else this place is doing right. I ordered their western burger and my wife had the meatballs. The burger was cooked exactly how I asked, but was nothing that would stand apart from something offered at the nearby RAM or the dozen other burger joints within 10 miles. It came with a pedestrian barbeque sauce that, again, just didn't set itself apart. The fries were undercooked, under-seasoned and dreadful. My wife was happier with her plate and said it was quite good. I tried it and would agree. It was served with a sourdough cheese bread that was very tasty. Our appetizer was fried zucchini and they absolutely do not skimp on the portion. Way more than we expected and it was fresh and delicious. The sauce served with it was a lemon aioli which wasn't really up my alley, but I'm sure most folks would dig it. We're going to head back and try a few more plates from the menu because I feel we caught them on an off night and/or I just flat out ordered an item they haven't yet perfected.

Tried this little spot for the first time and had a great experience. The parking area is a little tight in back and restrictive to certain businesses, but once you're somewhere where you know you won't be towed, the restaurant is easy to find and delicious! I got the pulled pork BBQ sandwich, and it really was one of the tastiest BBQ sandwiches I've ever had! (And I've lived in the deep south - so I know BBQ.) Their sauce is just perfect. It would be great with some cole slaw added too! We had a little one with us, and they were so accommodating. They brought us snacks and crayons for him and were able to bring his food out before the adults. I will definitely bring friends back here to try a few more items on the menu. My eye is on the Lobster Mac & Cheese next! :)

Nice friendly atmosphere and family friendly. I tried the Buccatini with Summer Pesto and added the Romano crusted chicken which was very good. The fried zucchini appetizer was outstanding. A big thumbs up to our server Courtney for providing excellent service. Nothing worse than trying to enjoy your meal and a new place and being ignored by your server. There were several other items on the menu I'd lime to try so I'll be back.

Epic old wood style, long bar with very friendly staff. The food is consistently excellent, lots of comfort favorites and some more interesting, out of the norm things available too. If you have never tried grilled artichoke before, this is a great spot for it. The Bloody Mary is simply the best I have ever had in my life! Be warned, it is a $10.00 drink, but it's a long pour with top shelf booze, and a snack in a glass. Their mix is made from scratch too! If you're in the area, it's worth stopping by, if for nothing else than a Bloody Mary to wet your whistle. The only detractor is price, but hey, that isn't a while lot to complain about with the nice big portions.

Great food and service. Chicken and Waffles are fantastic. The chicken is moist inside with a delicious crispy deep fried batter in rice oil. The waffle is a cinnamon delight. The grilled cheese melt is a cheese lovers ultimate sandwich. Provolone, muenster and gruyere cheeses are perfectly mixed and melted between two slices of crusted sourdough. I found myself in Puyallup hungry and unsure of my location. I know Puyallup for The Fair and not much else. I was directed to eat at Crockett's being told it was featured on one of those Food Network shows. I turned to Yelp instead and saw Crockett's was not only nearby but rated very highly. So, out in the pouring rain I went and after struggling to find parking I went inside this unassuming little restaurant and promptly was greeted before the door even swung close. Greeted and seated in less than two minutes had to be some kind of record in the Puget Sound region for any place half as popular as this restaurant. It seemed as though the place was a refuge for most as it was nearly full to the brim but no one seemed restless or irritated. The decor and ambiance struck me as cozy. The noise level was not too loud, but had a good energy with people laughing and carrying on animated conversation. It was comforting and familiar to the old diners of my childhood, those places that seem to have long faded out of existence in metropolitan markets. Our waitress came by and handed us menus which at first glance seemed very slim, but suddenly I realized I had grown too accustomed to menus that read like books with 90% of the offers I truly had no interest in. Once I focused I saw there were so many choices that I would happily eat that I had trouble focusing on just one. The hamburgers looked enticing, the street tacos lured me, and the grilled cheese and tomato soup seemed to be the perfect entree on a wet, grey day. Our waitress was no help in helping me decide my lunch, but extremely helpful in convincing me to come back as she described each of my top three choices in mouth watering detail in the most genuine fashion. Here's a woman who knows the menu by trying it, not by reciting it from a list of facts which further endeared me. Again I turned to Yelp and saw that the grilled cheese was highly recommended with glowing reviews. Staring at the buckets of rain coming down I ordered my grilled cheese and tomato soup with a mojito as though I could summon spring by drinking a spring concoction. My mojito came in a mason jar. It was perfect, the perfect balance of mint and berries, and each sip made me forget that spring seemed so far away on days like that day. Shortly after I was served my entree. Truth be told I still envision grilled cheese sandwiches like my mother made them, on sandwich bread small enough to satisfy a child but not big enough for an adult. This was a monstrosity of a grilled cheese sandwich. As I pulled the two halves apart tendrils of cheese stretched between them as though they could not bear to be separated. It was a short lived separation as they would be reunited in my belly. The cheese sandwich was everything I wanted it to be, and though I tried to savor the experience by enjoying each bite I found it kept disappearing faster and faster. The tomato soup was an unexpected highlight. I am only familiar with the puréed version of tomato soup which only serves as a dipping sauce for my cheese sandwich crusts, but this was no ordinary run of the mill tomato soup. It had chucks of tomato in it with thick fresh basil leaves and large house made croutons. I found I did not want to dip my cheese sandwich in it to neither dilute the flavor of the soup nor the sandwich. But the fries made willing victims for the spots my soup spoon could not scoop up. I will certainly be back enjoying all the flavors this restaurant has to offer!

FRIED CHICKEN.... They have great food, the friend chicken is amazing.. Sometimes the wait can suck. I went to pick up Togo and no one said anything to me and others while we waited for about 10min. I finally approached one of the busy workers to get my food. Great food and I will be back!!

Let me start this review with "I don't eat meat" ... I think that's important for everyone to know. I literally am reviewing 2 items, but they're the best items in the entire f*cking world. Their fried zucchini with aoli sauce is amazing. Yes, it's fried. Yes it's a bit greasy -- but I go there on cheat nights, so it's exactly what I want. Terrible, delicious, unhealthy food. & the most important item EVER. Their veggie burger. It's the most amazing veg burger I have ever had the luxury of eating. It's the type of meal that makes you wonder why people ever ate meat in the first place. It's 2 huge portobello mushroom caps, that they fill with cheese, and then deep fry... Seriously. *MIND BLOWN* then it's on this delicious little bun with avocado, tomatoes, and other standard toppings - but every bite is meaty mushroom and melted cheese. It's amazing & it's one of those things that is surprisingly better than next day. Let it be known however, that after ordering those time items I get the side salad... because I'm health conscious ;) Skip meat and order the veg burger.. Just once. It will make you wish that being fat was socially acceptable so you could eat it everyday.

Son had the lobster mac n' cheese, I had the pesto pasta. Lobster mac was an excellent balance of flavors with a bit of lobster in every bite. Cheese sauce was very tasty. It could have been a wee bit better if it had a couple of minutes under a salamander to toast the top. Pesto pasta was excellent with plenty of pesto, the right amount of oil (the pestos I've had at some places has too much oil and the bottom of the plate will be a pool of the stuff), and al dente pasta with a good amount of tooth (not over done). Beers on tap allow for excellent food pairings; plenty of craft beer selections to choose from. Son had an IBC root beer. It would have been nice if they had a tap or two of craft brewed sodas for those who don't want the alcohol. Service was very good--plenty of staff to take care of everyone's needs in a timely manner. Prices were a little on the high side for Puyallup.

Fantastic!! This is the third time I've been here and each time I've had a great experience. Today my husband and I were looking for a fun place for an afternoon date. He got the Crackling Chicken Wings with the Honey Sriracha sauce. While the wings weren't as Sriracha-y as he would have liked (he's a Sriracha fanatic) he still "managed" to eat each wing to the bone. The appetizer came with a side if coleslaw, that had a great from scratch flavor and a hint of dill. He also ordered the Nice Little Salad to balance out his fried meal. :) I ordered the flatbread club, which was delicious. The bacon was crisp, the flatbread was nicely toasted but still chewy and the fries were amazing! For dessert we had to order the German Chocolate Ice Cream sundae. My husband wanted to share, but I insisted we have our own as I'd had this mind-blowing dessert on my previous two trips. Delicious!! Crunchy chocolate cookies, toasted coconut strips, coconut ice cream, caramel sauce and toasted pecans. It was the perfect end to a great date. The service is always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is laid back and I love the playlist of classic rock music. Fun time all around! We'll definitely be back.

Happy hour is a winner in the bar. It is a little hard though if you have a group since there is not adequate seating in the bar and they will not give you happy hour prices unless you are seated there. So great with a date, bad with a group. All the food I have ever tried is delish!

Ate here the other afternoon with my better half, had heard a lot about it since moving here several years ago. Very tasty, I had chicken tortilla soup. Clearly fresh, nice amount of heat, grilled chicken, all-in-all quite good. My wife had the brisket taco, she said it was delicious. We split an order of garlic fries, YUM! $4.99 is an absolute bargain for the heaping of potato goodness we received. Prompt and courteous service, place was packed yet we were seated promptly and our food came out hot and fast. Definitely worth more looks, can't wait to try their meatballs, folks at the table next to us ordered these and I'm impressed at my self restraint in not reaching over with a fork and taking a bite.

Trusted Yelp on this one as I haven't spent much time in Puyallup and was going to be there for the day. The reviews are accurate. The food was fantastic. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the rice salad. The ingredients were fresh, and both dishes had a wonderful mix of flavors. It was pretty crowded, especially considering it was 2:30 in the afternoon, but we only waited about 10 minutes. Service was good and the servers offered lots of recommendations when asked I'll definitely go there again, next time I'm in the area.

I want to come back at dinner time. Big group, Saturday "brunch." May have gnoshed on a left-over Pot Top donut during the a.m. hours of my Seattle gorge-fest. Accordingly, wife and I split the "Hangover Burger." Just ok. Side of potatoes--the same. Coffee--blah (just your average/ subpar joe). I should have stuck to my guns and had water (or a Bloody) and gone down the street for some Anthem. Cool place, wanted to try it; but alas, I think we goofed by not doing dinner/ drinks here instead. Lot is tight: but seems like accessible street parking can be had (even though Farmers Market was in session).

This place is just so awesome. Yelp is so awesome. I had a visitor from Denver and I'm not native to Puyallup so I Yelp'd "lunch + Puyallup". Crocketts hits top spot. Off we go, Yelp don't lie. For whatever reason as I'm not typically a fan, the fried chicken sandwich was calling my name. My buddy got the "best in the county" green chili burger. We were both floored at how good those burgers were! The chicken is juicy, the fry is perfect, not greasy. The jalapeno cole slaw on top seals the deal! Service is fast and super friendly. I just recently recommended another friend to try Crocketts and the fried chicken sandwich. To which is retort when he was done eating was simply "OH...MY...GOD. I can't believe that was so good!" Well worth the stop. I've since returned for the green chili burger and yes, it is amazing. One meal and you're set for the day. Prices might be a tad high but they're relative to the portion size so no big deal to me. Don't sit near the door, it's chilly. That's my one and only nitpick.

Crockett's Public House is one of my favorite restaurants in the Puyallup area. My favorite meal by far is the chicken and waffles. The chicken in super moist, flavorful, and has a yummy crispy coating. The waffle is soft, sweet, and cinnamony. I decided to try the Butterscotch Bourbon Pudding after reading so many rave reviews. It was okay, but pretty heavy on the bourbon. It was a little too much for my tastes. My husband thought it was a little too heavy on the bourbon as well. It can get pretty crowded at times, but if you're thinking of giving Crockett's a try, it's definitely worth the wait!

On a biz trip and yelped this spot which was featured on DDD. great family small town atmosphere and the servers were great. Appetizer specials mon - fri till 6 pm; however otherwise items a lil pricy. On to the grub. I started with a kale ceaser salad which was fantastic with fresh kale croutons and dressing. For my entre I chose the meatballs and cheesy bread which they are known for. Well ...I have never been a meatball guy and sadly I'm still not after my visit. Just don't like the texture and flavor; but the sauce and bread were fantastic. looking around the other entres looked delicious as well. My suggestion if you are a meatball person go for it if not pick something else off the menu!

I have only been here once but hope to go again and again. I decided to order the meatballs since they were featured on Guy Fieri's show and also because meatballs are a dish that I would never normally order at a restaurant (not even Italian restaurants). We love this place. I have got something different almost every time and everything is great. So far my favorite is the shrimp tacos. The service is always fantastic! went for breakfast once and it was great as well. It can get busy on the weekends but they tend to get people in quickly. The front will be packed and it is usually no more than a 30 minute wait. Definitely one of the best restaurants in puyallup.

Great atmosphere, even better service. The food is pretty awesome. This restaurant featured on Triple D, so I knew I had to visit. We tried the recommended meatballs. Wow, that thing is pretty spicy... and delicious of course. The steak was juicy, accompanied with little potatoes that were crispy fried on the outside with the skin. And the famous Bourbon Pudding was loaded! A little too much sea salt on the whip cream, but otherwise, a pleasant experience. A good experience.

$17 for two meatballs, $11 for one artichoke, $15 for a two piece basic fish, and chips meal, $5 for one taco??? REALLY??? I love eating out, and I love to splurge on food that is worth the splurge. I love Crockett's, the atmosphere, and the great customer service, but the prices don't seem worth it anymore. We will go back, but we're going to be limiting our visits to a few times a year, instead of a few times a month. We eat out enough to know that there are so many other places that serve just as good food, if not better, for that much, so basically, I still like the food, nothing will change that, but we'll be frequenting less often, because the prices are just a bit unreasonable. When we first started to come here, it was a perfect place for being able to unwind after a long days work, a perfect place to kick the weekend off, but the crowd has been a much older crowd, and it's not been as fun or cheerful, don't get me wrong, it's still a good place to go to, just not what it used to be.

I'll make this short and sweet...no way jose will I spend my hard earned money on such overprice food...ordered a chicken fried sandwich and a side salad w/ dressing on he side. Salad came with the dressing on, and mostly red cabbage. My chicken breast burger was all breading....I swear to gosh, the chicken was a thick as a slice of lunch meat!!! No joke! I showed the waitress and she apologized up and down and sideways. By that time, I was running out of time, being that I had already waited 35 min for a table and 30 minutes for the food. I asked het to replace with a bowl of 5 dollar tomato soup that was ok. I had dined at Dixie's in Sumner earlier in the week, and they were hands down better, service, food, and value by far!!!!!

Crockett's is the perfect mix of a lived-in neighborhood bar and a classy, take-your-boss-to-lunch restaurant. You could go here on a date, with your dad, or with a group of friends, and in all cases you'd leave happy. (Whoo.. the commas in that last sentence were mega-important) I just love their burger/sandwich, salad, and beer choices; the service is super friendly, and they can do all meals well: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plus post-dinner drinks or watching a game. What more can you ask of from a restaurant? I mean really - Crockett's has it down, which is one reason it's so popular in Puyallup. Kudos to the owners.

Changing my review after last nights experience. Hopefully I can update this again soon back to at least a 4 star. My wife and I love coming here along with the rest of our family. However last night when I ordered street tacos this is what I was served... A tiny piece of fish and a sliver of avocado. When I asked my waitress if she could give me some more fish she replied that I was getting the normal amount. She finally offered after my wife and I disagreed with her to talk to her manager for us. About a minute later she came back and said there was nothing she could do for us either and that the fish is weighed out! I said "wow, you guys are really going to be like that? I'm going to make sure I yelp about this experience tonight to let others know your quality is going down." The waitress asked to not mention her of course.. As I'm taking this picture the waitress comes back and says they are going to bring me another taco. The best part of all is that the lady next to us got fish tacos and were heaping of fish like we were used to. Hopefully this isn't the service that we are going to see in the future or we won't be making it a regular spot anymore. We're far from cheap when it comes to having dinner, we buy what we want but expect good service. The tab last night for the two of us was $72.

Everything we have had has been super yummy! It's very clean and kid friendly. We tend to like restaurants that are on the loud side, because we have a very loud baby. So, if you have loud kiddos they will blend in just fine. The service has always been great. Even when they are super busy the food comes out quick. The only part that can be a bummer is the parking.

I should qualify my comments by saying I have spent a lot of time in Portland which has an amazing restaurant scene. The Tacoma/Puyallup area needs a better restaurant scene. I think the competition between the small-to-medium local restaurants that you see in Portland would push restaurants in this area. We live in the same region as Portland, so access to ingredients isn't the issue. With that as some context, here are my thoughts. Crockett's is very popular (we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table around 5 or so on a nice Friday evening). I understand the popularity. There are a few places that are similar, but most of the places to eat in Puyallup are the big chains. We would much rather support local businesses than have our money sent to corporate. Styling is nice -- kind of a trendy rustic look, but this translates to a lot of hard surfaces, which means a very LOUD environment. Staff was very nice and helpful. But we came here for the food.... As an appetizer we got the fried zucchini with the lemon aioli. Sadly, the zucchini was overcooked (more like a chocolate than a golden brown). There was Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top which reminded me more of the "stuff" that comes out of a green Kraft box than decent Parm. The "lemon aioli" was more like a plain mayo with no lemon taste. The whole dish was OK, but not killer. A little tweaking and I think there is a hit there. I had the fried cod with french fries. The cod was outstanding. Fresh and fried to a light brown. Crispy coating. The tarter sauce tasting stuff that came with it was good. I'm not a huge fish fan, but the cod is worth repeating. It came with fries which were a dark brown and a little soggy. They were either over fried in cooler oil (which tends to make the potatoes absorb more oil), or fried in larger batches and held in a warmer. Not up to the quality of the fish. My partner had the fried chicken and waffles. It was good. Chicken was a little over fried and oily. The waffle was cooked well and light. The disadvantage that Crockett's has is that our reference for chicken and waffles is The Screen Door in Portland. Theirs is AMAZING. We'll probably return, maybe on a week night when it isn't so busy. I really want Crocket's to be good. We really need more smaller places in the area!!

Drove around Puyallup like a confused old man ( all I needed was the hat pulled down on my head) looking for this fantastic restaurant! It's always delightful to find really good food in a local establishment, one that is not a chain. Crockett 's definitely fit the bill. Hard to see when it's dark ( and you have no idea where you are) but, once you enter prepare to be awed. Very friendly staff, excellent food, and an assortment of beverages to satisfy your thirst. The house made potato chips ( crisps) have no equal, and the Sloppy Joe is to die for. The rest of the menu looked delicious and I can't wait to go back for the tomato soup and a burger. So, if you are ever in town and find yourself wondering where to get a good meal......

Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the fries. Somewhat of a potato snob and the fries were just alright. Great chill vibe and very friendly and attentive staff. Started with a bloody marry topped with pickled beans, olive, celery, small cheese wedge and salami. One of the better drinks I've had. Had Moms sloppy joe. Great flavor! I love spicy food and this satisfied my fire desire. The real star of the show was the Bourbon pudding topped with caramel sauce, sea salt and whipped cream! You know it's going o be good when the menu reads " sorry kids must be 21 or older" Eating this incredible masterpiece I found myself smiling with each bite. Can't wait to return and explore the menu!

Looking for a different Happy Hour. Having seen Crockett's on Diners, Drive-in's and Dives, I thought that this might be a flash-in-the-pan joint based on a few special menu items. I was pleasantly surprised. We were presented with a basic menu- food on one side, drinks on the other with a few informational factoids interspersed. For example, deep-fried items are cooked in rice oil. I have never (that I know of) eaten anything fried in rice oil, We ordered off of their Happy Hour menu. Our order started with the "nice little salad" Crockett's house cut fries and 3 mini cheeseburgers, three appetizers from their happy hour menu. I was able to enjoy two of the three cheeseburgers (my wife stole one) but I made up by eating most of the fries. The nice little salad was virtually untouched until the fries and burgers were gone. For appetizers, the fries and burgers were delicious. I didn't steal the salad, but she finished it. I added the Fire Grilled Artichoke to our order. I found it delicious but the "choke" seemed a little small. The dip was a semi-spicy aioli that complemented the smokey grilled flavor of the artichoke. The fantastic selection of beer complemented the choices we made. I only wish there were one or two domestic brews were on tap. For those who don't like to explore the brewing science, most of the regular beers are in bottle form, "bathtub brews" 12 oz. at a time. The brews on tap consist of mostly local craft beer selections. I had a Georgetown porter while my wife consulted the waitress for a recommendation. She likes a fairly light beer, the waitress steered her towards the STELLA ARTOIS. She enjoyed the selection. Later, Ashlee (our waitress) offered a couple of samples of similar local beers to the Stella Artois. She enjoyed another beer. Overall, I would recommend Crockett's and look forward to delving into their signature plates. I would, however, recommend visiting before 5:30 on weekdays to avoid the crowds.

The 1# of clams were in a bacon broth that really worked well and the clams were done just right. The artichoke was excellent as well. We are anxious to try some other dishes that were on the menu. The fried chicken and waffle (at the next table) was a HUGE meal. We will be going back.

My husband and I went to Crockett's when it first opened and we loved it! Their hamburger sliders are fit for a meal and are awesome. Their breakfast is incredible as well! However, much like another review has stated, it seems their TV fame has gone to their heads, it costs a little more and a little more each time... I think once we ordered the sliders, a meal for our son and I had 2 drinks that ran us almost $90, a pretty unexpected bill for not much food. We had found them charming on St. Patrick's Day when everywhere else in Puyallup was full of people way too drunk way too early and they had a great fiddlin' band playing in light of the holiday. Other than our first experience the enchantment has worn off, now the staff seems to act like the Powerhouse staff that forget about you after they seat you.

Hmmmm, I'm responding to the "we make everything from scratch" and "it's all homemade" aspect of this place. What a load of malarky! I don't care if your food is fresh, when you deep fry everything, who the hell cares? We're staying in Puyallup and I opened Yelp and did a sweep and didn't find anything so I opened my new Food Network Food Finder App and this place beamed cranberry red on my screen! I read my keywords, "homemade," "from scratch," "seasonal organic" etc and It was a major plus that the setting is a converted feed store. Now, I've been to Guy Fieri-visited restaurants before, and many of them are greasy dives but some are awesome, one-of-a-kind places that really pride themselves on making food from scratch. As we pulled into the parking lot, we were confronted by their unfortunate parking situation: a sort of World War III between the restaurant and the yoga studio next door. Every spot is labeled "YOGA" or "NOT YOGA"...I don't know why the yogis had to get so bent out of shape (rim shot!). When we walked in, my first thought was how "corpo" and sterile it was. I thought we were going to a feed barn but it just looked like Outback Steakhouse. The peppy hostess and the scripted pushiness of our waitress to order appetizers, drinks and desserts exacerbated the point. Every plate of food I saw arriving at other tables (yes I'm that creepy guy who leers at your plate and possibly even gives you the thumbs up) looked flat. I cook all the time and I feel like I know what fresh food looks like and nothing looked "fresh". Most people were eating fried food, or ribs or maybe a burger (and often all 3!). They all seemed to share a pre-diabetic 8-mile stair as they carelessly masticated, their blood sugar as spiky as Guy Fieri's blonde tips. Wait a minute! These folks don't look like they come here for the "fresh food" to me: they were there for the meat, sugar, salt, carcinogens, etc. I wanted something fresh and nothing really fit the bill (everything was smoked, fried, covered in bacon or full of beef; all things I only eat occasionally) so I finally ended up with Chicken Tortilla soup and Thai Salad (I know, what the hell was I thinking?) and my girlfriend got their DDD-approved Sloppy Joe with fried onions and Gouda garlic fries (she is obviously the sane one in this situation!). My soup came and it was so salty I sent it back (notable because I love salt and I have also never sent back a dish in my life!). The Thai salad was fine but no different than the one I get at Trader Joe's for $3.99. But this one cost $13.50 for some reason? The lady behind me got a "small" Thai Salad ($9.50) and when it came it looked bigger than mine (which I felt I grossly overpaid for) so I asked the waitress about it and she said it's an optical illusion because they weigh the portion so it is always the same. Weigh the food? So each portion is exact? Where am I, Appleby's? Who does that? Mabye I am completely ignorant to how restaurants work but weighing a salad seems like something you have people who don't know how to cook at all doing. The kitchen was open but it looked really small and it seemed to me like they couldn't be doing more back there than heating and frying. I know restaurants make stuff in advance but i am becoming very skeptical of places like this that say they make everything themselves...I imagine them mixing Best Foods and French's Yellow Mustard in a barrel once a month and saying it's their own special Dijon. Even the Sloppy Joe was a big whatever. The fried onions, which were supposed to be the X factor were just kind of a greasy gross interruption to the smooth sauce and sweet yeasty bun. The fries were gross. They just tasted greasy and burnt and the $2.50 Gouda covering was about a spoonful. After you ate the 3 fries they actually coated you were done with that. I do have to say our waitress was very nice and did take back the soup gracefully and our food arrived in lightning speed (a little too fast actually). I would never go back here, but if you want a big green chili burger or something fried that's better than Long John Silvers, or you feel like Outback but don't want the profits leaked to Australian foreign nationals, or you feel like Chili's tonight but there's already a 30 minute wait, then by all means, Bon Apetit!

Triple D sent me to this eatery in Puyallup and I was not disappointed. As other reviewers have mentioned, the only challenging thing about eating here is the parking...seriously, start looking for street parking as you approach the building. Once inside this rustic/industrial building your nose will thank the rest of your face for coming here. The smoke from the BBQ grill will make you want to sit down and let your eyes devour the menu. There are some really nice choices here, however, the smoke made me crave something, well, "smoky." I chose the pulled pork sandwich which was covered in rich BBQ sauce and the pork sweet and tender. Strangely, it comes with potato chips atop, which I didn't think added a thing to the flavor or texture. I also shared the grilled artichoke which, although tasty, was not worth the $11.50 price. Also, the dipping sauce is too thick and overpowers the delicate texture of the artichoke. Would pass on that next time. There was so much on the menu that would keep me coming back whenever I am in Puyallup again.

Enjoyed the meatballs. Very good, maybe a little spicier than most would like. Our table liked their food. Good, solid but not "fantastic". Skimpy salad. Maybe a bad night due to no "air conditioning" which makes for a uncomfortable evening. Great beer though. I would go back when cooler or air conditioned. Wait staff was good and attentive. Ambiance and noise was moderate but stuffy. I would give it 4 stars but for lack of air movement. Not a place for a large group of 8 plus people. 6 or less, great.

Been here twice, food and service was great both times. We went for breakfast once and I had the crab eggs benedict, it was delicious. Some of the best benedict, I have ever had. The second time we went for dinner and I had the lobster mac n cheese and it was A-MAZING. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because we had a rather long wait when we went for dinner. There's not much space for waiting when that happens. They should really accept call ahead seating or reservations. Other than that, the experience was great. We will definitely go back.

First of all, I'm not into American pub food--burgers and deep fried things... I hadn't had steak in a long while so I ordered that. My boyfriend had a burger. When my steak came, it was rather cooked medium not medium rare as I requested--clearly had a little bit of pink beyond the charred layer of overcooked thick hard meat. The potatoes on the other hand were quite delicious and I liked the garlic mayo sauce. Unfortunately, the plate was pricey and did not come with a soup/salad option as you would expect. That's okay, I guess, but for the price, not worth it. When I asked my boyfriend how was his burger, he said, "Like a burger." Clearly, nothing spectacular here either. I'd say this would be a neat place to come if you're looking to have a casual mundane meal. I hear its brunch is supposed to be good but when we tried to come for brunch, we found out they only do this on the weekends.

Nice little brewpub near my hotel. Solid beer selection, did the local Diamond Knot IPA, it's not Rogue, but good option for a hop lover. Asked bartender for menu advice and she said the the meatballs were really good but the portion was very filling. For this reason I opted for the street tacos, one with chicken one with chorizo. Great flavor and not too messy (often I problem with large tacos). Came with a side of slaw that had a nice vinegar flavor to it. Service was attentive and friendly, overall a great place to grab a bite.

I've been here twice now and with all the reviews, much like D R, I really wanted to like it but it just fell short of expectations, especially considering all the rave reviews. The first time I came for happy hour and shared a number of appies with a group, none of which were particularly riveting. The second time I came for brunch and ate the huevos rancheros - the tortillas were deep fried which I thought was unnecessary & it made the dish was overall way too greasy. The chicken & waffles were pretty good & the portion was huge. The home fries were undercooked, cold, and oversalted. Great pub/restaurant atmosphere, good beer selection, good service make this place a decent choice for going out with friends, but for food, it wouldn't be my first choice.

We decided to give this place a try based on their Yelp reviews. From the outside, it's not a place I would have ever noticed. The staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere was nice for a rowdy American roadhouse. The menu is full of deep fried everything with a few unique choices. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but I had wanted to try the place for some time. I ordered a bloody mary and the bacon bacon burger and my husband had the BLT. The bloody mary was excellent - excellent meaning one of the best normal bloody marys I've ever had from a restaurant - although it seemed expensive for the venue. The burger was delicious, but a bit on the sweet side - I'm assuming due to the bacon jam. A fresh herb or something would've helped to balance it out a bit for me. My husband enjoyed his BLT. Omg this place is really good. So far we've tasted their steak, sloppy joes, shrimp tacos, fish and chips, and chili dog. If you go the sweet potato fries are a must! Only thing about this place is parking is very limited. Downtown puyallup is very crowded and every business has their own assigned parking. So you are at risk of being towed if u park in another establishments parking. This place is a must tho if you're in town.

Service is really hit and miss which is really too bad. We've been here long before it was ever on food network, and you can tell now that the owners kinda have a " my $*** don't stink attitude" since Guy dropped in. The chicken and waffles are my favorite, hands down! It took me five visits to try them and they darn tasty! I can't even eat KFC anymore because their chicken is disgusting compared to this place! The club sandwich is also great, along with fish and chips and fish sandwich to name a few. Drinks are good and they have a wide beer selection. I didn't expect I will mark 5 stars after reading negative feedbacks. Every restaurant, bar, café has own spectrum of customers.. If you want to go for a first date or marriage proposal this place not for you .. Don't criticize this place for crumbs on the floor just step over, its a pub. shut up and go to seattle downtown pay 100 us for the regular steak and glass of wine on white table. For those who complaining about 17 us for meatballs go to mcdonalds and eat plastic burgers and water soda for 5 us . But if you want place with to go with your friends eat some good spicy, greasy crispy food prepared by good chef and some beer...... forget your diet home but don't expect fly to the moon.. Fish and chips, deep fried shrimp were juicy inside and extremely crispy outside,, burgers, meatballs spicy and other exclusive snacks were ... awesome... we will go back to try other menu items..

The second time I tried the meatballs...yum. However parking is a nightmare! The place is crazy packed and it's hard to move around. The staff is OK. We had no reservation and walked in, quite a wait for the restaurant, but found a couple random spots in the bar section. The service was incredible, loved the ginger fizz drinks, the artichoke was the best I ever had (tried a few different recipes in several states), the spicy pepper good was delicious and the chicken and waffles is the best in this state, hands down. Kudos to Puyallup on this little gem! I'm a fan and will be coming back.

I'd like to give them a higher rating, and if I hadn't had breakfast there today, I would have given them a 5. I had lunch there with friends several months ago and it was fabulous! It was worth the awful parking. Their homemade chips with all the sauces are delicious. My husband and I had breakfast there today and it was only worthy of one star at best. My country fries were definitely not fresh, they were dry and shriveled. My husband's over easy egg had extremely runny whites. I think we would have been better off at McDonald's.

Went here on Valentine's day, there was a bit of a wait but we expected that. The waitress was great they came around and took drink orders for the people sitting waiting for tables. I like the atmosphere is romantic, dim lighting (almost too dim though). The service was great the waitress was very attentive came over several times to check on us while we waited for another couple to meet us. She answered my various questions with great detail. The signature drinks are pricey but tasty and the food was great. Everything was hot and fresh, we had cheesy fries with tons of bacon for a starter. Chicken and waffles were piping hot and fresh and a burger that was seasoned to perfection. This will definitely be a place I will return to.

My husband and I have been on a perfect burger mission for many years and have followed tip after tip and opinion after opinion only to be disappointed once again. I usually never write a review after a first visit. This place is top notch. In every way. Not just quality of food but in atmosphere and cleanliness also. The staff is superb. They work as a solid team too. I had the Green Chili Burger and hand cut fries. First time in many years that I almost finished a burger because I loved it! Hubby had a burger also. He loved his equally. The fries are fried perfect! I will certainly be coming here next time I want a burger!

I have tried several different things off their menu and I really do love this place! It has an interesting menu, close to home and the waitresses are always friendly. The only reason I'm giving this place a 4 is that I had a heck of a hard time finding parking. The lot is very small and limited and the place wasn't even packed at the lunch time.

I had coffee (starbucks brand), eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a scone. It was all very delicious. My friends ordered the blueberry pancakes and the chicken fried steak. I tried a bite of the chicken fried steak and talk about yummy!!! Probably not the healthiest breakfast, but so good. Next time I go in, I'll be ordering that! We were on our way to the Puyallup Sportsman show and wanted to eat lunch first before. I Yelped Puyallup restaurants and found Crockett's. Seriously, this is the best Yelp ever. I ordered the Green Chili Cheeseburger. Frankly, this is the best burger I've had in years. It was loaded with fresh veggies, the hamburger was cooked to order (med well), and the sauce was out of this world. I noticed it is going to be on the Food Network Diners and Dives soon. This is a must re-do and re-do!

First let me point out that the customer service is top notch here. Your food comes out steaming hot-which is something I don't come across too often. In addition to the food being hot, it's well presented and very flavorful. The menu is extensive with a few things that you just don't see on your average restaurant menu. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. The burgers are very good, the ribs fall off the bone, the sloppy joe is amazing (takes me back to my childhood-except I mean what I say when I say this is an adult version for it's size and peppery hot flavor), the salads are delicious, and appetizers are tasty.

Not gonna lie - saw this on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and since we were visitng my daughter in Puyallup, we just had to try it. I would give the food a 3-4. The larger ceasar salad my daughter ordered was just average sized and disappointing. Son-in-law had the mahi mahi and said it was delicious. I had the sloppy joes Guy said he loved and they were indeed really good. Hubby had the ribs and said he'd had better, but they were good and the sauce very good. But I'm giving this place a 5 for the service. We brought our 3 year old grandson who was given a kids menu that said he could make his own pizza. But when the waitress came, she informed us that they don't do that anymore - epic fail!!!! You simply can't give a menu to a kid and get him all excited about making pizza if it's not even an option. They need to destroy those menus!!! However, when my grandson had a complete meltdown over the lack of pizza, this waitress said no problem, she would get him a pizza. She proceeded to go to a pizza place next door and order my grandson a pizza! She totally didn't need to do that, but that kind of customer service deserves a 5!! Overall, I think this place is just a bit over priced (seriously, $11.00 for an artichoke???) but the food is a bit more adventurous than most places and for this kind of customer service I'd pay a bit more.

Oh my word, Super Yummy! We've been to Crockett's several times, and is our go to place for guests when they come to visit. This place is a gem. A little pricey, but worth every penny. They try to use local ingredients when possible, and it shows. The food is fantastic! So just a run down of a couple of the things we had. Appy; Flatbread w/ tomato jam and roasted garlic. Heavenly goodness and everyone should get it at least once. Entrees: Baja Fish Taco-My father-in-law got this one. He said it was good, and seemed to love the sweet potato fries that went with it. He only ordered one, but if your going for dinner, I would definitely get two. One seemed a little small of a portion. Chicken and Waffle-Our friend got this one. He said it was delectable and a must-do if you see it on a menu on the west coast. The waffle was flavorful, and the chicken crispy and moist. Chili and Miso Salmon-My man got the Chili as a before meal snack, but really this was a meal all in itself. It was hearty, spicy, and absolutely amazing. 5 stars for the chili. The Miso Salmon he said was also good, but I can't really give you a great review because he only ate two bites, maybe next time yelpers. I had the Mahi Mahi-It was cooked to absolute yummy perfectioness. It was laid on a bed of black beans, and pico de gallo with polenta triangles. This entree was pumched with flavor and it's going to be a must have for every time I go to Crockett's. Desserts we couldn't make it too, we were WAY to fool. I'm sure we'll be back. Although if your reading this, STOP READING AND GO EAT HERE ALREADY!!! Price: 1 app, 4 entrees, and 2 beers- $106.00

We went here the night before my wedding as a group because we had a lot of out of town guests and we wanted to try something with a great reputation, I admit to being exhausted and probably not really in the best of dining moods but my overall experience was a little lack luster. I had the chicken and waffles which to me was raw int he middle of the waffle and not crunchy at all, the fried chicken felt like there was no meat on it and I never finished my fiance got the meatballs that were featured and When we got home I tried to eat one and it was so spicy it was pretty much inedible and he explained thats why he didnt finish, my daughter and son had a decent experience both liking their food and our guests seemed thrilled with the experience and fair that was offered. We got appetizers empenadas and the home made guac and both those were delish, overall I am not turned off completely but I will be a little more careful about my selections (and mood hahaha) when I return.

I was told about this restaurant by a local right after I moved here, but I am always skeptic of hype. I am happy to convey that the food I had was delicious! I ordered the sirloin, it was served with Yukon potatoes (that were amazing!!), the sirloin cooked properly as well as moist, with a melted herb butter. There were two rich sauces served with the dish, a garlic aioli and an au jus! It was delicious! I was surprised that there was no vegetable served with the dish, but honestly I am okay with that: more room for meat and potatoes! Just given you a heads up! Honestly the only thing I would knock them for is Arnold Palmer I ordered. The iced tea was not brewed properly and had an off taste, but this is the West, not the South, so what can you expect?

This used to be one of my favorite places to grab a drink and burger when in Puyallup so I could catch up with friends. Unfortunately, the last time I was in there I had been house sitting and just wanted a glass of wine and conversation. I was sitting near three people who were talking business. After a while I said, "excuse me, do you mind if I ask what you do?" The female in the group made a snide comment and one of the guys, apologetically said, "She's the owner here," then introduced himself and shook my hand. He and I continued a conversation but I was entirely put off by the lady owners comment. I haven't been back since even though me and a good friend call it our spot. So I will be back bc of my friend, but just because you own a place doesn't give you liscense to be rude. In fact it is poor business.

Best place in Puyallup to grab some grub and a good drink. Try the grilled cheese- it's a must! And the whippersnapper peach tea cocktail is oh so good. Also, I've had the green Chile Brrrr and it is so flavorful. It's hard to find good food in Puyallup, but this place is solid. Came back again and noticed that the quality of quantity of food had decrease since last time. Highlights: The grilled artichoke appetizer is a must! Seriously, it's worth ordering two. The flat-bread club sandwich is very good. Fries are great! Staff was friendly and fast even though place was swamped. Lowlights: I ordered the Sloppy Joe with a side salad. When they say "side" they mean it. Mine was maybe 3 fork fulls of lettuce. I really felt like they cheaped out. The Sloppy Joe was mediocre at best. Not flavorful at all. I'm surprised it was a Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives choice. The child's burger is small. It's basically a slider. So be prepared that your child may need to order something else.

I found out about Crokett's from a friend and decided to give it a shot. My wife and I have three small kids so we usually hit dinner places early, around 4:30 so we beat the rush and get home at a decent hour. I'm glad we left early because there was a 30 minute wait when we showed up. Just a heads up, the parking in and around Crockett's is HORRIBLE. Be prepared to park a block or two away and walk in. The hostess and the staff were nice. We were treated very well. My only problem was the food just wasn't worth the hype this place carried with it. I had the crunchy burger and it was not good. The mayo gave me a stomach ache. The wife got ribs and they were so so. Best thing about this place was the dessert.

This place was decent, but not the 4-5 star review that everyone else has given. Granted, for Puyallup it's probably the best, but put it up against places in seattle and this is average. I got the Green Chili Cheeseburger, which was the best thing I tried, cooked how I asked, nice chipotle sauce with a little kick, and tortilla strips which gave it a nice crunch. I would recommend this. The sloppy joe I tried some of, and honestly I don't think it was anything to write home about. Just your average sloppy joe. I couldn't recommend paying $10+ for this. The Ribs had a good texture, but the sauce was odd tasting, and to me ruined the ribs. I'm not sure what that flavor even is, but I wouldn't recommend it. Stick to the burgers. Overall the place is a little pricey from the food to the drinks, for what it offers. It won't be a bad time, but definitely not worth putting on a TV show.

I am generally a very understanding customer. I have worked for many years in food service/ customer service, so I feel for the employees working at such a busy establishment. I know it isn't easy. That said: My first visit was for a to go order. (We don't usually like to dine in at busy places) unfortunately, my husband's home fries were missing from his meal. Kind of a bummer, but it happens. My limited interaction with staff had been very pleasant so I wrote it off as a fluke. We went to eat in on Mother's Day and, again the staff was gracious... Just very busy and out of kids menus. For Father's Day we ordered to go again and again my husband's order was not correct. He had asked for sausage gravy on his chicken fried steak because he hates mushrooms. However, the gravy he got was mushroom. He couldn't eat it. I feel badly about giving a bad review because the staff were all so nice and working hard, but the most important part of our transaction has been wrong more often than it has been right.

Amazing food! I had the Thai chicken salad, it had just a little zip to it!!! My fiancée had the honey saracha wings, the Mahi tacos and the apple/pear mini pie. It was so amazing! We will be back for sure next time were in town!

Ever since we've discovered this place we keep coming back! We make a point of trying something new on the menu each time and nothing has disappointed yet! Yes it's loud (it's a small place with a bar) yes seating is a little limited (its a small place) but we've never had to wait to long to be seated and the hostess is great at keeping you updated. Parking bites...but thats not in the restaurants control so no one should ding them for that. Blame the surrounding businesses who are clearly closed but wont allow parking even when they are closed. This could easily be fixed with allowed parking hours posted their signs and a little common sense. Servers are super great and recommend items freely not based on up-selling but what they personally like or think someone else likes. You can see the chefs and they work quickly and amazingly quietly...clearly focused on the food they prepare. If you love appetizers you HAVE to try the grilled artichoke or the Gorgonzola/bacon/garlic house fries! Dessert...grown ups only--the butterscotch bourbon pudding...all I can say is OMG to that! Can't wait until our next visit to try another entree selection!!

I had lunch at Crockett's today and really enjoyed the experience overall. We sat in the bar and the service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Our waitress let us take our time picking out our entrees and I really appreciated not feeling rushed. I know a lot of places focus more on turning over tables rather than the overall customer experience. We ordered the artichoke appetizer that was featured on DDD and it was magical. Tender and packed with exactly the right amount of grill flavor. It was by far the best artichoke I've ever had. It was also the perfect appetizer because it really woke up my taste buds and made me even more hungry. The drinks were amazing - especially the ginger fizz. The chicken and waffles were described by my friend as 'a party in her mouth'. I sampled the chicken and found the coating to be very flavorful and the fry to be perfect. Crispy, but not oily or dry. Now we get to the reason for four stars and not five. I ordered the green chili hamburger. I was worried about it being too spicy, so I ordered the chipotle aoli on the side. Unfortunately, it seems that the only source of flavor for the burger was in the aoli which was flavorful, but also very spicy. The fries were also underseasoned. Overall a very pleasant experience and if you like very spicy food the green chili burger would be good. I will definitely be going back - for another artichoke and maybe for a fried chicken sandwich.

Saw this place on an episode of triple D so my family and I decided to give it a try. I had the Beer Battered Cod and Chips (with extra fish) and my husband had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was AWESOME! and the chicken was cooked really well. My fish was just okay and I ordered the extra pieces because I wanted to share with my husband and the menu said the entree only came with two pieces. It's totally not worth it to pay the up charge for extra fish, you only get one piece and the pieces were VERY small. Maybe it was what I ordered, but I felt the place was totally overpriced. My husband wants to go back and try other items on the menu, if we return, I will post an updated review.

Sweet Jesus. This is where I want to die, as I will have already been in HEAVEN. If I could live there, I would. Just to eat all my meals there. There is no place quite like Crockett's, with a menu that will make your head spin and your tastebuds sing with glee. Oh... and the service is the icing on the 27 layer cake, if they had one. My only teensy tiny complaint is the lack of parking, but I would walk there from Renton. Ok, no I wouldn't. But I would definitely walk a long ways. They have all the right people in all the right places to create a meal you will long for after you leave. Hallelujah!

Service was great, location was easy to find and was a perfect new unique place to go for some out of towners. Would make an effort to hit this place again on the way to Seattle. We've been coming here since it first opened a little over a year ago! The staff is attentive & friendly & the restaurant has a great vibe. We love everything we try but our favorites are the mushroom ravioli, street tacos & the green chili burger. They recently introduced a weekend breakfast menu & we're finally checking it out. For Puyallup this place is good. Compared to elsewhere, this place is average. I do not get what the fuss is about. The food here is normal restaurant-ey food. There is nothing amazing, nothing terrible, it is just average. But.... based on the location... Puyallup... I would say this is one of the few places I am willing to go out to eat at (the other is the Ram).

I've been to Crockett's for lunch, dinner, and late night drinks. Each time it's been great. Food is some of the best pub fare you'll ever find, and the waitresses are nice, good looking, and ready to serve. Don't fail to order the Green Chili Cheeseburger. I try to order something else every time, but it's not easy. I once had a dream that instead of me eating that cheeseburger, it was eating me! (whatever that means...please no analysis). Also try the mushroom ravioli if you can. Location is good in downtown Puyallup, but inside could use some warming up or something. It seems a little stark. That's a minor criticism, feel free to ignore. Along with Trackside Pizza, this is my co-favorite place to eat in Puyallup.

The food was good. Service was not. The waitress messed up the order and spilled one drink into another when serving. Other than that, we never got checked up on or anything. The side salad I chose with my meal was tiny. So not worth the price. I basically paid $14 bucks for a burger with three bites of okay iceberg lettuce.

I absolutely love this place. Fantastic food that is well plated. Great customer service. Try the grilled cheese melt, it is not your average grilled cheese sandwich and is divine! I took my wife and 3 kids there tonight. The place is nice. I like the vibe and it was well run. The food was decent but I think there are better places in town especially for the money. We had the potato crisps and roasted oysters for an appetizer. The crisps were overdone and needed some salt. The oysters were good. My biggest problem was with the Rigatoni Ragu my wife ordered. Nowhere in the description does it say it is spicy. It does say 'little peppers' but not all peppers are spicy. It is VERY spicy. (I'm no ragu expert so maybe this is traditional?) So, my wife and I switched dishes because she couldn't eat it (I try not to EVER send anything back). I like spicy but this dish was just hot for no reason. All I could taste was pepper. The rest of the food was good but not special. Overall, I'd say over priced.

Came here through a recommendation from a friend, for dinner. Right when you walk in you can smell the smoky flavor of their ribs. Great location in downtown Puyallup. Hoppin' place on a Saturday Night. They use mostly Northwest made/grown ingredients and have local brews on Tap, including Diamond Knot Pale Ale from Mukilteo. They also feature Veev Acai spirit. Looks like they allow samples of the beers on tap too. Recommend: Homemade sourdough bread and garlic-chive butter. $3 So worth it! I really wanted to try the Public House Meatballs or the Chili Dog. Knowing but our server said that they were fairly spicy. I appreciated the warning though. My burger wasn't that great but my husband liked his Crispy Fish sandwich. Overall good place for dinner in Puyallup. They have breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays too, so we plan on trying that. They had TV's so we could watch the Sounders game too.

I've been going to Crockett's for a while now. I've always had the amazing grilled chicken burger, but last night I had the dude. Wow! It's one of the tastiest ribeyes I've ever had! It's on the spendier side,but it's worth every penny. Service is also great and just about everything on the menu is delish. You can't go wrong with the smokey grilled chicken burger with smoked paprika aioli and pickled vegetables. Yum! And the artichoke will change your mind about artichokes ...forever!

We don't live in this area but decided to drive down after seeing this restaurant on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. We were there at 11:45 am on a Saturday and found parking difficult to find. We got to the restaurant and it was busy at both the bar and restaurant. We had our name on a short wait list but right after we got there at least 20 more people came in. It is said that a busy restaurant speaks well for the quality of the food but it is wrong. The best thing about the restaurant was our waitress Leslie. She was very attentive. We ordered the meatballs with cheesy bread and garlic fries with bacon with homemade tartar sauce. The meatballs did not live up to the kudos given by Guy Fieri. They were just average. The cheesy bread was very good. The garlic fries with bacon were limp and greasy and only partially warm. Boy did they reek of garlic as they were loaded with small chunks of the stuff. The homemade tartar sauce was excellent. Needless to say after getting such great kudos on TV we were disappointed.

Holy yumminess! I've eaten here a few times and every time it's outrageously good. No matter what you order you'll love it and the service is rock solid. My favorite item hands down is the Romano Crusted Chicken. I dream of it at night. Other great choices are the Veggie burger and the Mexican Street Tacos. Everything is made in house from scratch and it shows. You cannot go wrong. The only drawback is that parking can be a challenge. If you're looking for a local place, casual fun and unique you've found it.

This place was a recomendation from an employee at a nearby company. We walked to the restaurant the first time and was blown away by the service, the food, and the overall atmosphere. The servers are super friendly and don't make you feel like a nuisance like other food servers can. I have been there multiple times since, and always have a great experience. So far I have tried the fish tacos (SO GOOD), their famous bloody mary (so good, and you practically see one on every table! very popular), their Sriracha-Honey wings (too good to pass up) and their cheese/bread platter... among a few other meals. EVERYTHING is so delicious!! Took my boyfriend here for the first time a few weeks ago, I told him this place is SO freaking good, he was doubtful-- but at the end of our visit, Crockett's is his new favorite restaurant!! We plan on coming back again and again. I cant say enough good things about this place, and I always recommend it to friends and family. There are only a few drawbacks. One would be that it can be pricey, but in my opinion (and everyone else that I have gone with) it is totally worth it. Also, it is difficult to get large parties in and they don't take reservations. We tried to get a largy party of 8 in recently, but the wait was too long-- I was so disappointed! Lastly, it would be great if this place catered events(which I was told they do not) .. my Mom is getting married in September and we totally wish we could have Crockett's cater the wedding!! Check this place out!

I've had a hankering for Fried Chicken & Waffles lately and heard that this is the place to go. And let me tell you they did not disappoint! We walked in and were immediately greeted by the manager. We were seated, ordered drinks and an appetizer, but the amazing part was that it was like almost every server was our server, not just the one assigned to our table or section - if any server walked by and saw my Arnold Palmer low it was refilled without hesitation, and the same goes for our plates being cleared or extra napkins and sauces. The customer service really is top-notch. The whole reason for going in the first place was the Fried Chicken & Waffles, which was scrumptious. To start, their chickens are organic free range (pretty rare for restaurants) and you get 1/2 of an entire chicken - 1 breast, 1 thigh, 1 leg and 1 wing. And it's the juiciest fried chicken you'll find anywhere! The waffles are cinnamon waffles, which I will ask for without cinnamon next time (flavor clash for me). The whole point of Chicken & Waffles is experiencing the heat and spice in a sauce that complements the chicken followed by a savory bite of your waffle with butter and syrup. The sweetness of the syrup cancels the heat of the sauce and you're left with a burst of flavor that makes you dive back in for more! Unfortunately, the sauce at Crockett's isn't very hot, but it's still super yummy! I finished off the evening with a Bourbon Milkshake, which was AMAZING! It's really less of a shake and more like Bourbon ice cream with caramel topped with bits of Ghiardelli chocolate. Every bite was heaven - just the right amount of all ingredients that complement each other without overpowering or becoming boring. I am in the week for this week and thought I would give this place a try. The first issue, why do you have your bartenders wiping the bar with bleach? How would you like to sit at a bar stool where the surface that is right under nose has just been wiped in bleach? The next issue is I ordered the St. Louis Ribs. I had ordered but somehow got a full rack. So that was a plus for me. The one bad thing was that they cut the rack in half and laid the one slab under the other. Big mistake!!! The fat and juices from the top half ruined in my opinion the bottom rack. The fries were soggy. The bartender stated it was because of the type of potatoes being used now. In and Out uses fresh potatoes and cuts their own fries and they are not soggy. So why were the fries soggy? The so called famous Butterscotch Bourbon pudding was not bad. Just wish it had more bourbon in it. Not sure if I will ever return to this establishment.

I'd eat here everyday if I could....the food is amazing! The cobb salad is huge, and the fried zucchini is accompanied by the best aioli. I haven't had a dish here that I didn't like. I just wish they'd open up earlier than 11:30am during the week! The noise level is pretty average. It's not really quiet, but no one was bothered by the fact that my 2 year old threw a plate on the concrete floor either. Lol! The staff is pleasant and very helpful. Ask them to suggest a dish, and they have no problem pointing out their favorites :)

We tried it for the first time yesterday with a party of five. Every person's food was so good, we were inclined to share with each other. I don't normally order ribs at restaurants, but I tried a bite of my father in law's rib order and it was hands down the best rib's I've had since I left Texas. Just pick up the rib and the meat falls off. My double bacon burger was absolutely delicious with bacon jelly on it as well. Our service was top notch. Our server was outstanding, and took plenty of time to talk with us and explain menu items to us if we had questions. She convinced us to go back this morning for Sunday brunch, and we weren't even there 24 hours ago. We just moved here, and I might as well include Crockett's in my monthly budget.

I'm doing it. Yes this is a 5 star Review. 5 Star Yelp review in Puyallup, Washington. This place is a gold mine for an american style restaurant. Crockets has it all and they take great care in getting it on your plate. The fish tacos are incredible. Huge chunks of fish just how you like them. Cooked and seasoned well. The chicken salad sandwich is better than any deli's I've ever had. And the ribs. The ribs are incredible. They have what I would like to call tasty goodness in every bite. They're not over cooked like many are. They hover around the you can pick them up and they won't fall apart but you can still pull the bone to make the eating easy if you want. This is hard, very hard to achieve. Best part. Everything around them is scratch. The ribs taste like there was some serious though put into the rub when smoked. Homemade barbecue like it should be. Not some thick paste but a nice consistent sauce. I plan on going back, many many times.

So good!! This was our second visit, we brought a friend this time! I started with a bloody mary, it was chocked full of goodies, an appetizer in itself! We ordered the garlic fries with gorgonzola and holy cow were they yummy! We are planning a trip back asap just for those!! Very nice. I was in here with the in-laws just days after they opened and it was the usual for a new place. A little disorganized. A little slow. But the food was good. We went back over the weekend and it was pretty excellent. Get the fried Zucchini. I'm O.K. with the premade stuff you see in a lot of bars but Crockett's is hand cut lenghthwise, battered and fried and it's really better than any fried zucchini I've had before. One in our party had the sloppy joe and raved about how good it was. The beer selection focuses mostly on local (within 200 miles or so) and it's a good mix of Puget Sound breweries and styles. Definitely worth another visit.

Fast forward 1/2 a year later. We (my family of 6 and I) decide to have a nice dinner out, we're celebrating a few life changes. I remember that I have a free appetizer card and think let's back to Crockett's. Our first visit was the best, this one, well here goes: It was so hot in there!!! If we hadn't driven a ways, I would have left in a minute, but here we are..so the wait was about 20 min. It's not too crowded but the host says he's waiting for a clean table. Ok then...we get seated, we wait another 15 for the waitress. Another 15 for our drinks. I ordered the tea with peach puree. The waitress says they have to hunt up the puree, it can't be found. Sigh...we eventually get it, but I'm about done with my 2nd glass of tea when this arrives. We order the appetizer, it's calamari. Disappointing...about ten pieces for 5 people. Do the math. Ok, we wait about 20 more minutes for our food. One thing that hasn't changed is the food, it's really wonderful. As it's getting more crowded, it's getting hotter in the place. By the time we are done, we're really ready to go. Oh, one note, if it wasn't for the person who is assisting tables, we would have never gotten refills. Our waitress appears a bit scattered. We were never asked if we wanted dessert, but we didn't, still it would have been nice to have been asked. We wait another 20 for our bill to arrive. I'm really irritated at this point. This place has wonderful food, but this time the ambience and service didn't work for me. It'll be awhile before we return. If I'm going to feed a family of 6, it really needs to be worth it to me.

I was really excited to try out this restaurant, based on all the great reviews. We went on a Friday night around 7:45 and the place was packed and loud, but a happy kind of loud; we waited about 35 minutes for a table. The food was not as good as I'd hoped it would be. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't stellar like the ratings would indicate. I had the chili dog, which was HUGE, but the chili had a tangy taste, like vinegar, or maybe too much beer, in the recipe, which was a bit of a turn-off. DH had a burger, which he liked, but again not the best he'd ever had, and it was a little spendy. Fries were definitely a disappointment. I think they are made freshly hand-cut, but they weren't crisp at all (too much moisture in them). DH is not a big fry fan anyway, so it didn't bother him much, but I love a good french fry and these were not up to snuff. He did like his beer, though. Service was good. Our server made a good beer recommendation for DH and was efficient. Bottom line -- we'll definitely go back and try it again, just next time we'll go for something different, and we'll try for lunch on a weekend and see if it's a little quieter. If you like a lively, busy restaurant, this is the place to be on a Friday night.

Oh yum, yum, yum. It was a 20 min wait for the dining area so we sat in the bar. Our waitress came over right away, she was friendly, sweet and very attentive. We had the fried zucchini with lemon ailoi sauce appetizer at the recommendation of our waitress and it was GREAT. Sliced length wise, fried and dusted with cheese. YUM! I had the 100 calorie Mojito and that was pretty good, too. I am a fan of chili dogs so I gave it a try here. And can I say YUM! The chili on top was EXCELLENT. I am sure this is going to be my new benchmark for chili. I have heard from friends that the service here sucks sometimes but our waitress was excellent, very observant but not overbearing. I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a compliment here but thanks for making it a great first experience!

While in Puyallup for a small car show I found myself wondering what to eat. Someone in the group suggested we go try Crockett's. So we did. We got there just before the lunch setup so we decided to wait. First of all the service and attitude was fantastic, not just ours but while observing the staff they this way to all patrons. What a concept! I had the " Thickcut BLT", pretty dang tasty I say. I thought it might have a bit more "B" on it than it did but very tasty. One of our party had the Lobster Mac, at 22.00 a plate it's a bit pricey but was awesome none the less. Their famous Meatballs looked and smelled great. All in all it was a very pleasurable experience with good friends. Did I mention the beer was nice and cold with a good selection of Micros. I really like Mannys from Georgetown Brewing. yum yum. I will be going back.. This establishment. gets 4.5 in my book! Yes this place was featured on Triple" D"!!

This spot is the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have actually had dreams of the meal I ate here a while back. My Crunch Burger was to die for. I added bacon and cheddar cheese to it. Which went well with the home made Potato Chips and the dips they serve with it. I visit the are regularly for work now because of this spot to eat. Skip all the local Thai joints in town and find a spot to park and bring your appetite!

The wife and my self decided to try this restaurant out after seeing it on triple D. There is virtually no parking. I ended up dropping off the wife and found parking over by Mc Donald's. For a Sunday the establishment was very full of patrons, but we were still quickly seated. the restaurant appeared very clean and the atmosphere and ambiance was very good. The wait staff was very friendly and personable. I enjoyed the fact that they automatically serve you water and leave you a bottle of water so that you may refill your own glass instead of having to wait for a refill. My wife had the beef / pork roast sandwich with BBQ sauce and potato chips served on top. And sweet potato fries. She really enjoyed here meal. I had to try the triple D recommended Sloppy Joe with fry's. I thought the sandwich just tasted like tomato sauce and Jalapeno. And my fried onion topping was just lumps of hard fried dough and with a smattering of onions. My french fries were dry. I may have gone in to the restaurant with to High of expectations. After seeing it on Triple D. We are going to give it a second chance.

I have tried to eat here before but the wait was a little long and we were impatient . I had the opportunity a second time with my son on his spring break for lunch. The layout of the restaurant is great, with an open kitchen. We were sat quickly and ordered our drinks. We both wanted water and they came with a chilled carafe of water. (love that!!) We ordered the fresh chips and guacamole. It came out quickly and was a huge portion. The chips were warm, border line hot. The guacamole was creamy fresh made and there was fresh chunky salsa on the side. The appetizer was perfect! I ordered the green chili burger and my son ordered the House burger. The green chili burger was delicious and it was by far the best burger i have had since moving to Washington. It came with fresh cut fries. The fries were a little too well done and had a slight burnt taste. I would get the side salad next time. My son loved his burger and thought the fries were OK.. maybe we just got a bad batch. I would definitely suggest trying Crockett's Public House when you are in the area.

We planned a day to go to Puyallup for the Washington State Fair and needed to find a place for lunch. I remembered seeing something in Puyallup on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives and quickly found the restaurant and location on Yelp! We headed over and were very pleased. They have a little section on the menu that says what Guy Fieri ate when he was there- and my husband and I both decided to try the meat balls. They were FANTASTIC and the marinara sauce was amazing as well. It was a big, hearty meal and it was a lot of food! They give the meatballs with 4 pieces of garlic cheese toast on the side. We also tried some sliders and my husband LOVED the tortilla soup; our kid had some parmesan cheese pasta. The kids menu was very impressive, but the delivery had room for improvement. It was EXTREMELY hot for a kid. A "Kid's temp" would have been much preferred. Also, the pasta pieces were HUGE and it was swimming in oil. Every piece was dripping and really messy. It was not very manageable for a 3 year old to eat. We had to feed him every bite as he was unable to do so himself. At other restaurants we just order for him off the kid's menu, and things come out at the right temperature and with reasonably sized pieces- and he can feed himself. The service was a little lacking. The waitress was completely indifferent. Not friendly but not anything specific that I didn't like about her. The thing is- people expect families to tip low- and we are young parents. However, had she actually tried with us, she would have gotten her 20% tip.

One of the best restaurants in all of Puyallup! I heard a bunch of hype about this place before it opened. I first had a meal there a few months after it opened and have continued to return many times. Everything that this restaurant has to offer is top notch! My favorite dish is by far their Chicken and Waffles! You get some of the best fried chicken I have ever had and that combined with their delicious waffles makes for one amazing meal! The atmosphere is also amazing,the servers there are also amazing! They always want to talk and make you feel right at home! Plus I always tell friends about this place and have taken many people their myself! If you want an amazing meal that WILL fill you up then this is your place! Beautiful Waitresses! Of course that isn't a reason to go but it doesn't hurt. I had the meatballs and they were ok....but I wouldn't give them 5 stars. They have a nice selection of local mirobrews on tap...not a ton but just enough selection to keep a beer snob happy. Food was fast and good and service was always with a smile. You shouldn't be disappointed here.

I came here for lunch and a dinner. Overall, I thought the food was decent. I've the fish burger and the sloppy Jo. Nothing to complain about and the popcorn was really good too. However, this place gets pretty packed and there seems to be a little disorganization up front. The hostess was difficult to find both times and at dinner said the wait would be 20 minutes, but we waited 40-45 minutes. I would come back-maybe-but if there was a wait, I'd go elsewhere.

Most of the food is great. Friend had the fish and chips, great. Pork rigatoni great, but the ribs, I mean just one rib, really bad. Don't order the "Rib". Had breakfast here at the recommendation of a friend. Parking sucks, but you can park at the pizza place next door as they own both. We got there just as they opened for breakfast and there were two families (including us) that had to wait ten minutes to be seated even though the place was basically empty. We figured they just weren't ready to serve people. You should be ready to serve when you open. I had the standard breakfast: eggs, meat, potatoes, toast. Eggs were good, but they were almost over hard instead of over medium. Meh, I can live with that. The toast were scones like the ones served at the Puyallup fairgrounds. By far the best part of breakfast, they were served with butter and some whipped strawberries that functioned as jam. The potatoes were the nasty cubed frozen potatoes that get deep fried or regular fried and really it doesn't matter how they are cooked because they are always dry and gross. I asked for onions in mine and got none. The bacon wasn't thick sliced as the menu claims. Also, the sides portion of the menu lists flavors of bacon, but you can't get any of those with your meal. We got the maple cinnamon flavor as a side. It was good, but it wasn't thick cut either, not by any stretch of the imagination. My husband got the chicken fried steak. It LOOKED amazing, so they get an A for presentation. Sadly, he said the gravy was way over salted. The grits were good though. The waitstaff was a little weird. When they asked if we wanted a hot water refill for tea, they were going to take the whole cup instead of either bringing a pot of water or just refilling the cup, so my hubby had to drink the rest of his current cup while the waitress stood there and waited for him to finish. Weird. Then they tried to take the jelly and butter for the scones when we hadn't finished the scones. (Having had this happen at another place with nachos, I was quick with my ninja food reflexes to grab the plate before she got to it. ) For $38 total (with tip), I'll just walk over to my local bar and grill for breakfast and if I happen to be in Puyallup again for breaky, I'll just hit the McDonalds.

Forget the fact that Triple D's Guy Fieri was here the other day, you'll see for yourself how next to impossible it'll be to pick something off their INCREDIBLE menu. I'll make an easy suggestion, just order the left side of the menu, order the entire right side on your guaranteed next visit. Went to Crocketts on a Thursday night, around 5:45pm, and the place was fairly busy, good to see that a local new spot is busy during the middle of the week. Anyways parking is a challenge, the closest lot to Crockett's is actually owned by other businesses, parking might be a challenge on busy nights The decor was fairly laid back, lots of brick, with wood beams. Servers were nice, and they scored special points for suggesting a couple of different drinks that we had. For starters we got the potato crisps with 3 side sauces, a sun dried tomato, a cheese spread and guacamole.. We enjoyed those. I had the Memphis BBQ burger, it definitely was a knife and fork kind of burger, juicy and cooked well, I liked the bacon on the burger. For dessert we had this caramel (Crackerjack?) and ice cream parfait, it was a nice and sweet way to end the evening. This place is a MUST for downtown Puyallup, people who know the valley know that there is just not many great dining options.

Whenever I am remotely close to Puyallup I think about stopping at Crockett's. This place does it all so well, from their delicious parmesan kettle corn to their amazing buttermilk-brined fried chicken. We finally made it here on a Saturday night about 7pm. Parking was found around back and the wait for 5 of us was about 30 minutes in the waiting area to the side. Service was a little slow at first, it was pretty busy, but after we got our drinks, the service was great. They even were able to accommodate my toddler and baby nieces at our table and sit everyone comfortably. 2 in the group ordered fish & chips (they raved about them), my Mom ordered the cheese melt with tomato soup (she loved it), my brother-in-law got the Memphis burger and I ordered the house meatballs (wow! and tasty, with a little spice and hot out of the oven), plus all the food only took about 10 minutes to come out. Our server made sure our drinks were full and she checked on my toddler niece to double check she had enough apple juice. The place is pretty loud, but we were still able to talk and the drinks menu was very extensive, too bad I was driving! Haha. The rest of the menu looked great and the baked artichoke I'll definitely try next time for sure...and a beer!

I saw all the rave reviews and actually left and checked. Yep, it was Crockett's where our meal was such a disappointment! After my family and I circled around the crazy one-way street system in downtown Puyallup and finally found a place to park, we got to wait over an hour for overdone chicken and burned waffles. I so wanted to like this place, but service was horrible (it was midday on a Saturday, not busy), and in addition to being cooked waaay too long (did this cause the hour-plus wait?) the chicken was also very salty. At around $25. per person (including drinks) we should expect better.

This review may come off a little generic, but I end up here pretty frequently. Sometimes with my family, sometimes for take-out, sometimes just by myself for a drink. Without exception I've always had good service. Sometimes you have to wait for a table and, yes, parking can be a huge pain, but once you're actually seated, you're golden. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. The music is good. The food is delicious and I've had almost everything on the menu. The servers are friendly and attentive. The bartenders are spot on. And the bathrooms are clean. Hell yeah. We've only had issues with food twice or so and those issues were rectified right away. The menu has a great selection on it and they've always been accommodating if we ask for changes to the dishes. I have a toddler and we've never felt unwelcome due to that fact (and, yes, it's definitely an issue with some servers at other locations). As an extra bonus for train lovers of any age... Crockett's is right by the train track and my kid loves that we can run outside and watch trains blow by us.

I have eaten here twice and had two very different experiences. The first time it was frigid cold inside, seemed like the heat had gone out. I had the BLT and it was ok. Bacon was really good, but the bread left something to be desired. I was seated in the dining area and the service was ok. The second time, I sat in the bar and the service was really great. I enjoy that they have good beers on tap, I ordered a bowl of chili and it was really, REALLY, good. If you are a fan of spicy home-made chili, this is your place! I will be returning for the chili but I will be steering clear of anything fancy on the menu.

Our lunch was first experience with this restaurant. We started with the fire grilled artichoke, followed by our main dishes. Mine was the Veggie Burger which is a very uniquely prepared portabella mushroom sandwich. It was excellent and a bit more than I could eat. We went for dinner (at 4pm) on a Saturday. The place was packed, there was a line to get a table (they don't take reservations) and people were standing outside the door. So we decided to go to the bar because there were a few tables open there. We started off with a beer (Mac & Jacks) and bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was excellent, but at $9.95 in Puyallup, it better be, right?! My husband had the meatballs (which were very tasty and moist) and I had a chorizo taco with a side salad with blue cheese dressing. The taco was excellent and much bigger than what I was expecting. What was the most excellent part of the meal was the blue cheese dressing on the greens. Homemade, light and delicious. If you like blue cheese, you will love this dressing. We'll definitely be back again to try some of the other menu items, but only after the crowds die down. Even though it was packed, we didn't feel rushed by the servers and wait help, which was nice. Service was awesome and people are friendly.

I had always heard how great this place is, but honestly, looking at the outside I thought it would be a dark place with an old pool table in the middle and smell like stale cigarettes. When we finally bit the bullet and walked in, I was surprised to see a modern, super nice bar and grill atmosphere with a full bar with great beer on tap, and large, light restaurant. We have been to Crockett's several times now. And I will keep coming back whenever I find myself in downtown Puyallup. This time we finally had the Empanadas. We were on our way to Five Guys with a friend, but when we got there the power had gone out and their grill hadn't reheated, so our friend suggested Crockett's. Best decision of the night. I had the meatballs, because I am trying to keep my carbs in check. They were delicious. The meatballs were extremely tender, and the marinara sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and kick. They came with cheese toast (which I succumbed to and ate), which were okay but nothing too special. My husband had the basic cheeseburger, which he enjoyed but hey, it's a cheeseburger. Our friend had the Mexican street tacos and fried eggplant. I thought the eggplant was a little dark, but still good and the aioli was delicious. They have a Gorgonzola cheese sauce that he ordered to put on his fries. It was AMAZING. We will be going to Crockett's again, as many times as I can convince the hubby to drive into the valley.

I ate here last week on the advice of a co-worker, and YUMMY! We went at about 11:30, and it was far from busy. Wait staff was really attentive, and brought our drinks quickly. I ordered their "crunch burger" and my co-worker ordered their mushroom burger. Both of us got our food quickly. Mine was delicious, but messy! Bring a wet-nap if you are going to eat it. Crockett's is a great place for BBQ. While I do not understand exactly how they prepare everything, I do know that I thoroughly enjoy the taste of their ribs. I go in there every week or so and order a half rack of ribs and chat with the very personable manager. The ribs are tender; the BBQ sauce is light, spicy, and tangy; the accompanying coleslaw is chunky. The bar is clean and well laid out and the staff is professional and friendly. I only wish I could find the sweet spot of their busy time. It seem like it would be a fun place to hang out, but I always end up there when it is dead.

You should never, ever, go to the Ram or Red Robin again in light of this restaurants existence. Price, quality of food, quantity of food, and options reign supreme over its like establishments. I have driven past this restaurant many a time having no clue what it was, to my own doom, as the food here must not be ignored for longer than one ought to ignore good quality food at a great price. Whether you are dining alone or would like to share a meal with a friend, there are more than enough options on the menu for you. I am having a bit of brain fog, but I am quite sure this place did not have a bevy of gluten free options for items that contain gluten (such as hamburgers, no gluten free buns). Which isin't neccessairily a strike against this place, but with the increasing amount of gluten-intolerant/celiac, it seems like a good idea. All things considered, bow your head in shame the next time you step into any of its south hill chain restaurant competitors. You are missing out on a much finer dining experience if you are looking for that kind of dining and don't happen to be sitting in Crocketts!

Took the parents here during the recent visit and tried a variety of other menu items. I'm always leery or going to deep into a pub's menu -- if the burgers are good, stick with them is my motto. Thank GOD I threw that motto aside. Between the four of us, only my pop had a burger (and loved being able to get a medium-rare burger perfectly done to his taste). The rest of us had: MUSHROOM RAVIOLIS wild mushrooms, caramelized shallots and grana padano parmesan, served with small nice little salad14 PASTA RAGU TOSSED RIGATONI slow simmered pork shoulder, fennel, thyme, mama lil's peppers and tomatoes tossed with rigatoni pasta12.99 BEER BATTERED COD AND CHIPS (2PC) potato crisps or pub house fries with cowboy tartar sauce11.99 The best of the bunch was the Mushroom Ravioli. Great flavor in the filling, pasta was perfectly al denté, and sauce was light but flavorful. The Pasta Ragu was an explosion of flavor. Pork was tender and moist and nicely seasoned -- a little spicy but that's how I like it!! :^) Fish and Chips was better than average. Typical cod fillets -- I'd like to see them use salmon (even farm raised salmon) or halibut to get this dish up to the standards the rest of their menu enjoys, but the cod was flaky and moist. The batter was crisp but light -- not over powering. All in all, about a B+ grade.

I stopped in here on impulse after walking around downtown Puyallup trying to kill a couple of hours. After watching the Triple D episode at least three times, I decided it was time to see what all the fuss was about and I stopped in for lunch. As usual, it was a rainy day here in the Pacific NW. I thought a good comfort meal was in order. I ordered the grilled cheese meal. In addition to the sandwich, it came with a small cup of hot tomato soup and a side (I went with the slaw). I was greeted by warm and friendly service. I never went more than five minutes without someone checking in on me once I sat down. The food itself was exceptional. The grilled cheese had the most amazing flavors and was grilled to perfection. The tomato soup came hot but not too hot. It was full of fresh tomato's and was to die for. Even the slaw was properly prepared and seasoned perfectly. What the whole entire meal had in common was the freshness. All the flavors came alive and you got a great taste of what fresh food should taste like. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. There are large plasma screens to watch your favorite sports games. Whoever came up with the restaurant concept and menu design is a real genius. I can't wait for my next visit!

Crockett's has dynomite service and food. It just does not get any better. The chef has the professional knowledge and skill level to produce excellant food that is profoundly flavorful with easily detectable layers of flavor. The lightly smoked and grilled artichoke hearts are outstanding. The meatballs are loaded with flavor. The burgers are ground steak and absolutely full of flavor. Their breakfasts are as good as can be possibly done. I hope they can maintain this level!

OK, so, we are foodies and I am a native New Yorker and extensive traveler who know a thing or two about great food, haute cuisine to food truck. East Pierce County in general is a wasteland. This is not snobbery, it's fact. However, Crockett's: NAILED IT. From atmosphere to service to food, homerun. Ate dinner there this evening. Between myself and the rest of my party we had fish and chips, small dinner salad, fried zucchini, fries, coleslaw, mushroom burger and sodas. All of us agreed that the food was great. The one complaint I have is the fried zucchini was a little greasier than I prefer. The atmosphere was homey and comfortable, not a big place but I was there early so there was plenty of seating. Parking was limited but again I was early so had no trouble finding a spot. Would go again for sure.

This fairly new joint in downtown Puyallup is just fantastic! Good food - yes, fair price - yes, great service - yes! This place features both traditional American faire as well as some unusual and interesting dishes - like Waffles & Fried Chicken! I personally had the Mexico City Tacos's - this is a winner! My wife had the BLT - give me a full pound of that bacon please!!! You'll love this place with it's great feel and friendly atmosphere. They have a good wine section and even better beer offerings. Trying out the new Crockett's brunch today, Bloody Mary's and Prickly Pear Sunrises for starters are great. Eggs Benedict is some of the BEST I've ever had, I wanted to lick the plate when done. Blueberry pancakes are awesome as well, with fresh blueberries on the side. This will be our new weekend breakfast place.

My wife and I just came back from Crocketts this evening. Let's just say that I wish I could add a few more stars to this review. Nothing to complain about. The service was outstanding, prompt, friendly. We were quoted a 20 minute wait time at the door, which is acceptable for a Friday night. We were seated before the bartender finished pouring our drinks. Fantastic. Our waitress, Kasey, was very attentive, and on top of things. I ordered the full rack of ribs, and they may very well be some of the best ribs I have eaten. I actually had a hard time picking them up because the meat would just fall right of the bone. Sauce and spices on them were top notch as well. The coleslaw was delicious,and a generous portion. Same with the fries. Tasty, salty, delicious. My wife got the Fish and Chips, which once again, was a very generous portion. The fish was extra flaky, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. It arrived with a large portion of the fries, and a very tasty tartar sauce. We enjoyed a glass of Guinness along with our meal, and were happy to see the proper pouring technique from the tap, even though it was very busy. I will be coming back. A wonderful evening, delicious food, great atmosphere, and great staff. Everyone just really seemed attentive. Also kudos to the kitchen staff for being quick, and producing a quality product. Well done, gents. tl;dr: Come here, eat good food, enjoy yourself. It's worth every penny.

My mother and I were out and about last weekend and decided to stop here for lunch. We walked in the back door and was immediately greeted and sat at a booth. Very nice helpful server. Wish I got her name. Our beverages came within minutes of ordering them. The food came fast and was delicious! They just opened and we gave it a try. The wine list is much better than one would expect in a casual restaurant. I ordered a chicken street taco and she ordered some very large potato chips with three spreads; avacado, cheese, and roasted red peppers. Worst ribs I have ever had and I have eaten some pretty good ribs from Texas to North Carolina. Not only was it uncooked, had more fat that meat and bone combined but it was cold. I wish it would have stopped there but the service was sub par and when I finally got attention of the waitress she said "that's disgusting" as she was looking at my food. They were apologetic however. After the owner said "let me at least get you some fries" after he apologized for the nasty food....he didn't mind charging me for the fries even though I didn't really eat any cause at that point the little bit of the RIBs I did eat was about to, on there own, come out of my stomach. Literally the worst meal I have ever ordered. When the person I was eating with asked the waitress if we were soposed to get charged for fries that the owner wanted to give us and she said yes she was told to charge us....awkward. Then i threw up again 15 minutes later while driving back to work. On a positive note the person I was eating with loved his food and it looked really good.

We eat here every couple of weeks for breakfast. The food is excellent. I usually eat one of waffles and the chorizo breakfast burrito. Both are delicious. The wife loves their big fluffy french toast. Highly recommended!

This is my husband's and my new favorite place to eat!! The fish and chips got us hooked. The staff is very friendly and efficient and it's only a few miles from our home. A casual and fun place in downtown Puyallup. A must try!!

My Wife and I went to Crockett's last Thursday. The food was great. Loved the Staff as well. This place is definately a go to place close to home. The Collosal shrimp was just that, and great. My wife had the Veggie burger and I think it just might be the best one she has ever had. I also love their efforts to serve only fresh, never stored in a freezer, food. It really shows in the quality as well as taste.

Ok. I've had a love-hate relationship with this place since it opened and it's steadily gotten better since opening day. First, the "pros": 1) They have gotten much better about being attentive to patrons at the bar. Typically when sitting at the bar, you are intending to drink a couple drinks (shocker!). A couple months ago it would have taken me standing on the bar and lifting my shirt up to show what my mama gave me in order to get a beer. Now they just need a subtle hint of an empty glass and I'm asked if I want another. UPGRADE! 2) The ribs, burgers, mussles, and chicken and waffles are outstanding! You can't go wrong with these! They also have fresh hand-cut fries, which to any foodie, is a plus! 3). For Puyallup, the location/ambiance is great! Now for the cons.... 1) Do NOT get the shrimp remoulade! It's basically 5-6 shrimp COVERED in mayonnaise on a bed of Shreds. It's not even house-made mayo! It's awful! Terrible! And made my tummy hurt afterwards (and that's not just because of the $12+ price!) 2) Let's discuss the wings. I consider myself a bit of a hot wing officianado. I also understand that places like to take their own spin on the tradish hot wing. However, back in the day, Crocketts only produced one wing which was a Thai/Asian style. There's no other way to put this, but they smelled like vagina!!! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but that's the only comparison I can come up with! It's awful! Recently they have decided to offer "Buffalo" style and "Naked" wings. I haven't been brave enough to go there again, but I'm hoping those are much better. 3). Anyone knows in the PNW, that quality seafood should not smell like, well, seafood. Every time I've been near someone who has ordered the fish and chips or Mahi-Mahi, it has smelled like a seafood dumpster. To be fair, I've neve actually eaten a single fish dish (*see "seafood dumpster comment before), but I am just calling it like I smell it. All in all, I truly WANT to love Crockett's Public House,and things have gotten much better since thy opened! I would just like to see them perfect what they do well and leave the seafood to the experts.

I love this place - went on opening day, and it was amazing! We've had a few different servers, and they've all been wonderful. Obviously, they've made some minor adjustments to their menu/decor since opening that have been quite beneficial (laminating their menus, properly salting their fries), but the biggest fault I still have with this awesome joint... no happy hour. They're gonna have to offer some sort of Happy Hour eventually... people would kill for half-price apps at a place like this, downtown P-Town! :) Overall though, adore. My husband especially enjoys their "chicken and waffles" entree! Me, not so much - I stick with a good burger or their delicious homemade grilled cheese/tomato soup - PERFECTION!

Stopped there after the Fair with my son and his friend. Parking and the one way streets were somewhat of a pain. We found parking due to another nearby business being closed due to it being evening. One teenager had buffalo wings and loved them. My son has clams with linguine and had the same feeling. I had the Dude with potatoes. Good but I think the chef used too much salt. So parking and seasoning were the only minuses. Service and the rest were perfect. Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie with ice cream was good sized and disappeared between the two boys.

This place was pretty cool. They had a variety of on a small menu. They have Friend Chicken and Waffles to Mexican street tacos, so all your bases are covered. Great selection of beers. Lots on tap and a lot in their bath tub (bath tub?). They have their bottled and canned booze in a bathtub, I thought it was cool. Food was good, I mean nothing thats OMG, but good. I'll go back, but It's not like out of this world. I got the green chili burger, very different, but good. Nice spicy kick (not hot) spicy, and it doesn't burn your mouth. My wife of the Memphis BBQ Burger, hers was good also, BBQ sauce in tangy, and pretty good. Menu is has good prices, small prices for good portions. Service looked a little crazy, more like frantic. I know this is their first BIG holiday and the place was packed. They were friendly, and did their best with a crazy situation. So I would recommend stopping by and grabbing some grub.

Wanted something alittle different for lunch today so decided to try out this place since I saw them on Diners , Driveins and Dives. I had the chili and some sour Dough bread with garlic butter. It was good but my girlfriend got the grilled cheese and soup , that was amazing!! the 4 stars is due to that it's quite cold in the building and you should bring a coat during the winter time and the parking kinda sucked you have to park in the Pizza parking lot and walk across the ally to get the the bldg and it was pouring down rain. My husband, infant son, friend and I stopped by on a Sunday around 3ish for linner (late lunch/early dinner). There was a good review on the TNT and the reviews on Yelp seemed to be pretty good. We thought we would check it out because we enjoy supporting the local downtown businesses. Parking was a bit of a challenge and this surprised me on a Sunday but no biggie. We entered through the back entrance and within a few moments, we were seated. They brought out a high chair and it wasn't very busy upon our arrival. The atmosphere was nice and the inside was larger than I had expected. It's spacious and I enjoyed the open feel of the restaurant. Nice simple menu...lots of choices but not so many that it would take hours to decide. My husband and I each had the same thing -- chili dog. One with and one without onions -- both of us also had a pop. My friend had a grilled cheese w/ soup and a soda. All of us had fries with our meal. The chili dog was a LOT larger than I anticipated and it had really good flavor. From the chili to the dog to the bun...yum. My husband felt the same way. My friend really enjoyed her soup and sandwich. We ended with dessert...my friend had a milkshake flavored with bourbon ice cream. She said it was delicious. My husband and I shared their homemade brownie with vanilla ice cream. It was good but the brownie was very rich...it should have come with a glass of milk. Altogether our meal was about $54 for 3 sodas, 3 meals, 2 desserts , tax & tip. Service was attentive and very good. They were also great with our son so that scored them extra points. We can't wait to go back!

We stumbled upon Crockett's the first time, because the restaurant we were at was closing. A friend had recommended it and we headed over. When I walked in I knew this was my kind of place! The open beams and layout were very inviting. Our server was quick and had our drinks to us in no time. (Profanity Hill Porter for me) Now although we had just eaten a short time earlier, after looking at the menu we couldn't help ourselves. We order the Chicken & Waffles, Crispy Zucchini and Seasoned Kettle Corn...it was all amazing! (And reasonably priced) We knew we'd be back and we were. The next time is was more Chicken & Waffles and also Street Tacos - both I can HIGHLY recommended! Overall a great establishment for any occasion from girls night out, to a couples dinner or outing with the kids.

This was a great place in an unexpected area it's some what hidden, I would have never known it was there if it hadn't been for yelp. I'm really glad my husband I tried this place it was a wonderful experience from the minute we walked through the door. Very attentive service I even think at one point during the end of our meal the manager or owner of the restaurant came to our table and made sure we enjoyed everything. The food and drink that I had were well made. I started off with the grapefruit Cosmo it was delicious and they didn't skimp on the alcohol usually when I go to most places they always make the mix drinks weak not this place I was very happy about my drink and well worth 7 $. We ordered the old fashioned crisps that came with three sauces which were equally fantastic in flavor, they were a pimento cheese with blue cheese, sweet pepper mix and guacamole the potato crisps were very bountiful we didn't even finish them . My husband ordered the chicken and waffles, I have never seen my husband more happy with his food the fried chicken was well seasoned and the waffle was light and fluffy they complimented each very well. I had the fish and chips and I have to say it was the best fish and chips I have had in this area the cod was wonderfully seasoned to the very last bite and the tarter sauce was tasty. I absolutely loved my food. I will continue to come here great atmosphere

Whenever I'm in the area, I have to make it to Crockett's! The loaded house-cut fries are incredible. I always ask for a side of their buffalo sauce to go with them, and top it off with a spa cooler, their fantastic fresh and light cocktail made from cucumber and Veev. Delish!

Had to go to this place after seeing it on Triple D...the interior is inviting and the staff is friendly. We ordered the artichoke heart cooked over mesquite for a starter. If you have never eaten one, this would be an amazing first and tuff to follow. If it is not your first, you may forsake all others and take up residence here. The flavor is one of a kind and the aioli dip is a 10. we ordered the St. Louis style ribs and the sloppy joe. The ribs popped away from the bone with the slightest touch of the fork having a sweet ,smoky , slightly spicy finish. The ribs were served with potatoes that were salty and seasony on the outside, slightly crisp and hot and soft on the inside. Boyfriend loved all of it and he is kind of a BBQ snob :). The sloppy joe was meaty and huge, perfectly toasted bun with slight heat in the sauce. Was worth the 45-50 min drive and will be back to try some of the other things reviewed. YES parking is very limited. We went just before happy hour and found a space.

Parking is a challenge, and the signs everywhere prove it. Downtown Puyallup parking is tough! The service was great but the music was way too loud as I could hardly carry on a conversation with my wife. It was the middle of the day on Saturday and they did have college football on. The homemade chips & dips were great and reasonably priced. I had the Memphis BBQ burger & my wife had the fish & chips. We enjoyed the meal....just beware of the parking as I believe the Yoga place will have your car towed. Not a big fan of warnings when I try to have a great meal.

I would love to give you a review of Crockett's food. I was excited to check the place out. I desperately want a good place to eat in Puyallup. We normally travel to Seattle to eat right. However, I never received my food. After waiting 25 minutes for food during a lunch break I had to leave. Other people were served ahead of me. The place did not appear that busy. Too bad I wanted to try out the Mexican Chorizo Tacos. Alas I will never know because I will never come back. No apology for the delay, or for the fact that a larger table that ordered after me received their food first, and poor customer service. Disappointing to say the least. My search for a place in Puyallup with good eats and a great atmosphere continues.

Went to Crockett's Public House for the first time last night, after seeing the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Arrived about 6:30, and there was a 25-minute wait. Spotted two spots at the bar and bellied up. We were greeted by the bartender, Lena who has a great personality and sense of humor. She asked for our cocktail order immediately. The atmosphere is great, with large TVs behind the bar. We had the old school potato chips that come with pimento cheese, guacamole and a red pepper pesto. The chips were cut thin and fresh fried: Awesome! For dinner my wife had blackened Mahi-Mahi which was served atop corn cakes and nicely spiced black beans.... Very good? I had the green chile burger, which comes on a sesame brioche bun.... Great burger with the right amount of heat! Crockett's is an awesome joint in downtown Puyallup, and we will definitely be back again soon!

Pretty scrumptious this was! I don't know how I've managed to miss this hot spot for the year its been open, but I'm SO glad I stumbled upon it! Came here with a couple friends for Valentines Day, and had an excellent experience. Hardly a wait, uber friendly staff, and not a bite of food was left on any of our plates. We did order a round of drinks from the bar that took a little longer than I would have liked - but they totally ended up being worth the wait. This is one of those places I hope will be around for a long ass time to come. And yeah, I'll be back this week.

Hubby brought in a platter from home and ordered about eight servings of their smoked salmon appetizer for a family gathering in May. Everybody loved it and it was the first thing eaten! Imagine our surprise when we went back to have our favorite cocktails, appetizer and dinner only to be told it was no longer on the menu:(! Sadly, I was horrified when I ordered the Cobb Salad with buttermilk dressing for my dinner. It was a thing of beauty when it was delivered but upon pouring my dressing over the top I could only taste raw garlic! There was no mention of the garlic in the dressing in the menu description and there should have been! I will be sticking to the street tacos until my favorite dishes return. I had the same problem with the garlic at Trackside Pizza which I believe the same people own. Be sure you ask about garlic on dishes before ordering! Love this food but not with it drowned out by raw garlic. Please make it an option or disclose it on the menu. That said this place is still turning out great food! They just need better menu descriptions! Thanks!!

I had their mini burgers just last night and I'll say that whole meal was very bad. Little tiny overcooked hamburger patties were placed on the six little buns. No sauce on them no cheese no onions just absolutely nothing. Then just a handful of rockhard french fries that were thrown in the middle. Finally got them to bring me a bottle of ketchup. You couldn't get me back there with a team of horses.

We love it here. The bar is great (remember to ask what's in the cask if you're a beer fan). Large local draft selection. Food is a little pricey, but fresh and delicious. I don't mind paying more, if I actually enjoy my food. Between my wife and I, we've tried almost everything on the menu. She goes back to the meatballs and says they are delicious. The serving is 3 huge meatballs, she always has one left to bring home. I personally love the grilled cheese and tomato soup for a "brunch" on Saturday or Sunday, with their House Bloody Mary. For dinner, the burgers are great. Happy Hour from 3-6 with an appetizer menu. New brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday which we haven't tried yet, but plan on soon.

This was the first and only time I had been here. It was rather overcast and rainy, and inside the restaurant was a bit cold for my taste, and I am not a "Cold person," but each time someone opened the front door or the back door it was freezing! I looked around and there isn't really anywhere to sit where you won't be effected by the two doors. Put on a sweater and I was ok. I ordered the meatballs, my husband got the rigatoni, our youngest got the deep fried shrimp and the oldest daughter got the crab tostada. My meatballs were pretty tasty, though I like spicy food it was even a little spicy for me. Husband liked, but did not love, his rigatoni. The shrimp were good and the crab tostada my daughter said had too much mayo and could not taste any crab. Our server took our order then handed us off to another server, because she was taking her lunch break. The second server was not very good. My husband ordered a Long Island Iced Tea from the bar, he said it was awful, and had wayy tooo much lemon. My major disappointment was the apple pie. There was less than one tablespoon of pie filling. It was mostly a folded over crust that was SO hard and really inedible. I am not a fan of crust, I like the apple filling and there really was none in it. The dessert was, in my opinion, completely inedible. Our check for that meal was $115.00. I would never go there again. Sub-par service, average food, bad bar drink, and disgusting pie means we won't be going back. Could have had a much better meal at Red Robin or Outback for that price. Would I go back? Only if it was a party of two, one for me, and one for the guy holding a gun on me.

I visited Crockett's three times before writing my review. I was excited to see a new restaurant opening in Downtown Puyallup. My first experience was on March 4th. I had a small Thai Chicken salad ($7). It was flavorful but not really anything to remember. Service was ok. My second time around was a week later and I ordered the large Cobb salad ($11). Again, nothing spectacular, standard fare; the olives were flavorful. I expected a larger salad for the price. My advise, order the small. I should have asked for additional dressing, as the amount it came with was not sufficient. My third attempt at Crockett's was the following day for lunch. They opened at 11:00 am and we arrived at 11:15. We were seated at a table for two right next to a bussing station, even though there were only two other occupied tables in the restaurant. This proved annoying as the waitress was preparing a take-out order and is was distracting being in such close proximity. We ordered two coffees and I ordered the Fried Chicken and Waffle ($16) and my companion the Crunchy Burger and fries (don't recall the price, but I'm sure it was too much). The coffee was good; nice and strong. Even though the place was devoid of other customers, I had to flag down the waitress for a refill as she was preoccupied with her other duties such as prepping the place settings. The waitress explained the fried chicken would take 13-15 minutes, and I said fine. We thought that odd, 13-15 minutes, and guessed it had to do something with their timer for the fryer. I decided to get my Droid out and put the timer app to use. The waitress returned with my order 25 minutes later and explained to my companion that her order was on the grill but she wanted to bring me my chicken and waffle so that it did not get cold; too late. We were both perturbed by the bad timing on their part. The butter for the waffle was in the form of a round ball and was rock-hard cold. The syrup was served in a miniature stainless pitcher and was also cold. After breaking apart the butter ball into smaller pieces I poured the syrup over it, but of course it failed to melt the butter because it too was cold. By this time the waffle was barely above room temperature, which, by the way, was on the chilly side. I was surprised my $16 dollar meal had nothing on the plate but four pieces of chicken and a waffle. It should have had some form of garnishment; a strawberry, kiwi and a couple of grapes would have been a nice touch. The chicken consisted of four pieces; a wing, leg, back and small breast. It was greasy and over-cooked. I tasted just the coating and it tasted of old burnt cooking oil. Three minutes after receiving my meal, the waitress returned with a melted cheese sandwich and bowl tomato soup for my dining partner. Those of you who are astute will have noticed that this is not what she ordered. My companion pointed this out to the waitress and she checked her notes, which consisted of scribbles on a notepad, not a formal order ticket. Hmm. Maybe that is an issue here; just a thought. The waitress left and returned saying it would only take a few minutes to cook her burger. We declined and requested a second plate as we decided to split the greasy chicken. The waitress returned with the plate and informed us we could have the fries at no charge. My, aren't we the lucky ones! She should have offered the cheese sandwich and soup at no charge, since it was already made! After the fries were delivered, I decided to give them a try. They were shoe-string cut, limp, unseasoned and not hot. She returned and I requested salt. You would think that salt would be provided, wouldn't you? Not here at Crockett's!!! The waitress returned with the salt and had the nerve to ask what I thought of the fries, like they were actually something special. I decided to tell her and then asked if she had ever eaten at Charlie's. She didn't even know OF Charlie's. I explained the THEY had good fries. I give Crockett's two stars, and I think that is being a little generous. They are overpriced and the service was bad. The cavernous atmosphere was cold and the wooden bench I sat upon was hard. As far as I am concerned, there is still only one restaurant in Downtown Puyallup worth going to; it's on the other side of the tracks. Try Anthony's at Pt. Defiance for a great value, great view and good food at a better price. I give Crockett's two years... And two stars.

A big space, bordering on rustic w/ cement floors, loads of block & bead board wood showing. I could see it getting very loud here, but Sunday morning was pretty chill. Seems popular with families. Stained glass features on the nice wood bar, a couple of sports monitors there. Decent tap and spirit selection. I had breakfast, Corned Beef Hash w/ Yukon Golds, Brussel Sprouts, and a lemon Hollandaise. Beef was shredded, lots of spuds. The Brussel sprouts were more of an after thought but, they do not give up their flavor so could easily have overpowered the dish. Very nice if a bit spud-starchy. Tasty. It is worth mentioning, Puyallup Fair scones as a side! Prompt service, quite friendly and attentive. Brought my own coffee, so, while I can not go on about their service from S'bux, they were accepting of me bringing in the outside mystery travel mug.

Been here a couple times, once for breakfast, once for dinner. Consistently good service. Breakfast was good, I did get a hair in my food but they took care of it right away. I had the breakfast tacos and my kids had the cinnamon waffle. Both were good, the salted lime that came with the taco got too much salt on the tortilla and kinda ruined it for me a little. The waffle was really good( I snuck a bite from my kiddos). I do feel the prices are really too high. There are other places in town with just as good of food, or better, for better prices. Service was excellent! For dinner we had the grilled cheese, the club sandwich, the kettle corn, and the shrimp and grits. Again, service was excellent! It is all good, nothing really wowed any of us, although we did really like the kettle corn. It's the only really good value on the menu and would be perfect if you just wanted to go drink and have a snack. Overall, a good place to try, but be prepared for the prices. Not a great value.

Looking for some good, tasty food...This is the place, not knowing it had been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives was a wonderful surprise. Had the Barbeque Brisket Taco. Only ordered one, could have eaten two or three. BUT....glad I didn't, saved room for dessert!! As I type to come up with words to describe the delectable I am wiping saliva from my lips. Butterscotch Bourbon Pudding is the best thing since....Air! Yum and not at all what expected but I will definately be coming back for more of that smooth & creamy carmel goodness.

My husband and I stopped in here on a whim. We are always looking for local places to stop in when wanting to just go out. We were pleasantly surprised by the casual atmosphere and even more appreciative of the great food and consistent drinks. The wait staff is very welcoming and not pushy. The bar tender knew what she was doing and produced and reproduced excellent libations. We arrived during happy hour, Mon-Fri 3-6pm, and found the appetizers to be a great price as well as $1 dollar off adult beverages. We also tried two of there delicious sounding burgers and they definitely did not disappoint. My husband tried the "knife and fork crunch burger" complete with house made jalapeño cheddar kettle chips. It was a bite of delicious, savory braised pork roast and bbq sauce. However, the only draw back was the chips, although crunchy they lacked much if any flavor. My tastebuds desired something more spicy so I went with the "green chili cheeseburger". It was absolutely on point in the flavor department although was not at all spicy. The melt in your mouth brioche bun housed a delectably juicy burger topped with pepper jack cheese, fire roasted poblano chilies, chipotle aioli, and topped with thin, crispy tortilla strips. Definitely 5 star burger in my book. The burgers were accompanied with fresh cut fries and the choice of sweet potato fries. Lean towards the sweet potato fries if you want a flavor extravaganza in your mouth. To prime our stomachs, we also dabbled in several appetizers, including the "house made guacamole and salsa with chips" and the "honey sriracha crackling chicken wings". The chips are a great appetizer and the quac is quite delightful however the wings although delicious lack any spice and are quite citrusy sweet. Lastly, we tried several of the delicious cocktails. Highly recommend the "prickly pear sunrise" as well as the "midnight raspberry lemonade" if you desire sweet. If you prefer sipping on a Yankee candle then by all means order the "blackberry mint margarita".

It's pretty packed no matter what time you go, we were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar so we didn't wait any longer than 15 minutes. The food was okay, the brisket taco was delicious but the homemade slaw was blah. Not enough flavor. The best part was dessert! The chocolate waffle with vanilla ice cream was amazing! Yum! I could eat 50 of them every day. The service was great too, our waitress was checking up on us frequent enough to let us know she didn't forget about us. It was really busy & full, so it was nice to know she was aware of when we needed refills & our plates taken away. I will be back soon! I wanna try other things on their menu.

Excellent place, had no idea it was in town, been by the building so many times even to Trackside across the parking lot. Only downside is lack of parking, so be sure to find a spot where you won't get towed. Now for the important part, had the meatballs and my partner had the crunch burger (which was a pulled pork burger with lots of good stuff on it). We also had the chips and guacamole, they were really good as well. We finished off with a dessert I had the apple pie made in-house and he had the bourbon butterscotch pudding.... all I can say is OMG. So very good! The service was excellent as well, friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be back, likely with friends! :)

Bourbon butterscotch pudding. I could eat that every night. If they were closer to me, I would make way too many stops to grab it take out. If that's possible. It's the most incredible pudding. Just...wow. Speechless. I'm actually shocked Guy wasn't here just for that!! So I saw on the menu he tried the artichoke, which I really wanted to try, but I wasn't in the mood. Same as for the meatballs, they look excellent, but it wasn't on my radar for the night. What was, was the turkey flatbread club sandwich, and husband got the fried chicken burger. I know...how can a flatbread sandwich even compare to meatballs or artichoke....? Oh but it did. What I love about that sandwich is that it was on flatbread...(duh)...no ol regular bread. That gave it a different better than other sandwiches stigma immediately. My husbands fried chicken sandwich OMG yes. Juicy chicken, but not too juicy, fried but not greasy, and those buns they put their burgers on are seriously for real. The bun made it. The place is waaaaay cool. Old brick building downtown, with that modern twist on the old feel. Love that. The only thing was it was a HOT day, really hot...like sprint-as-fast-as-you-can-into-an-air-conditioned-Âbuilding-before-you-look-like-you-ran-thru-a-Âsprinkler-humid-hot. But when you walk in you realize there is no a/c. And on top of that no windows or doors open. Ugh.... Mix that with a full house of people enjoying that fab food...Not so good...I asked if they could open doors, but server said flies will get in. And the cost of an a/c was out of the question for the owners because it was so expensive for that old building. Ok, So I suggested screen doors for these hot days, she said that was a good idea, but sounded not too excited about it. Only like 300 bucks...and it would make all the difference for the customers. Hopefully they will do that. :/ It was a great experience except being hot. That alone won't bring us back until it's under 70 degrees outside again. Oh and maybe to pick up the butterscotch pudding togo!! :)

While in town for the night, the BF and I wanted to check out a local pub style all american restaurant. And boy, are we glad to have come across Crockett's! This location has so much history...apparently the building itself has been there for...ever? Once inside, bar area is to your left and more of the dining seating area is to the right. Walls and ceilings feature old photos and relics and give you a good sense of just how historic that location and building is. We tried their signature fire grilled artichokes with the Calabrian aioli - that was a surprisingly fun and delicious appetizer! Guy Fieri was spot on when recommending that. We also had perhaps the best burger we've tasted in Washington state yet - so soft, buttery, melt in your mouth...I'd go back to Puyallup just for that burger again! Fast friendly attentive service, clean bathrooms, a place with lots of character and history. We'll be back to try more from their menu again real soon!

I recently just tried this place and adored it. Eating in Puyallup is a nightmare...it is 99% chain restaurants. Yeah, sorry, don't want to eat at Applebee's or Red Robin after a long day. Anyway, I went here and I had the seafood chowder and a brisket taco with sweet potato fries. Both were soooo good. My server was nice, my food came out in only about 10-15 minutes, and they have a good drink selection. The menu is also awesome. I'm surprised a place with food options like this is sitting in Puyallup. Usually for unique dishes I have to drive to Tacoma or Seattle. A+

Tonight was my husband's and my first time here and it won't be our last. We decided to stop here for dinner on a Sunday evening on our way back from a short trip to the Tri-Cities. I'm still not sure why the host didn't have on some type of uniform or outfit to match the other staff so that he looked like he was apart of the team. I seriously thought he was a guest done eating when he walked up to me and my husband waiting to be seated because he was wearing a plain ol' gray polo shirt and blue jeans. No apron, no name tag, no logo, nada. Hmmm. All of the servers looked uniform since they were all wearing black shirts, blue jeans, and a black apron. The ambiance is warm and inviting with wood and brick. It was nice and busy on a Sunday evening. You WANT to go to a busy restaurant because that's one of your first clues that it's going to be good if everyone else wants to eat there too. So, having to wait a little bit for a seat can be a good thing. Luckily for us there were some open spots up at some bar stools. As soon as we sat down our great waitress, Taylor, said she had a more comfortable booth for us a few tables away. I wouldn't necessarily call it more comfortable since the seats are hard wood planks with no cushions. The bar stools didn't have cushioning either. The large booth was definitely nicer to have more room to spread out so we appreciated that. It was an overcast day outside which made the bright white light from outside shine too brightly in the multiple windows that up are way up high. The restaurant has a loft/warehouse type feel with a really tall ceiling and the windows are mounted way above your head. I am more sensitive to the bright light since I suffer from migraines so I just wore my sunglasses. Yes, I could've asked them to close the blinds but that would've meant the staff having to interrupt at least 3 or more tables to get behind their table and chairs to reach the pulls. I wasn't going to do that. It baffles me why restaurants turn their music up too loud. Taylor had a hard time hearing us over the music and voices. Guests have to talk louder because the music is too loud and then even louder because now the guests are too loud. It just creates a vicious cycle. Guests don't come to this type of restaurant for the music; they come for the food and conversation so let the music be unassuming in the background and not compete. We ordered Happy Hour (all-day in the bar on Sundays) appetizers of chicken wings and kettle corn. The chicken wings come in 2 flavors and we got the honey citrus one. They were so hot I had to wait for them to cool down a little before I could them. Nice and tangy! They came with a delicious homemade slaw. I forget what seasonings were on the kettle corn but it was delicious! There were two flavors to choose from and I think the other one had cheese in it and he one we ordered didn't. Our appetizers and food order were delivered so fast which was impressive on a busy evening. Taylor did a great job checking in on us often, getting little extras, and taking care of our dishes. I had their Cobb salad full of fresh veggies, bacon, yummy bleu cheese, etc. I washed it down with a refreshing fresh brewed unsweetened iced tea. My husband had a fried chicken sandwich that he said was delish. It had their homemade slaw on it with some type of hot pepper in it. The restaurant and bathrooms were nice and clean, friendly and attentive staff, and a quick kitchen serving delicious food. We look forward to coming back to trying more items on the menu. Food delicious, service was great but we were already prepped before she came to serve. I had da meataballs ah, and my date had da green chile cheeseburger. All i can say was it was the best balls ive ever had in my mouth! Ok second best as my date says. Honestly you should definitely try the meatballs; its filling and has a kick. The green chile burger has the right amount if veggies and meat and not too much bread. Dont go if youreon a tight schedule. Also had the bloody mary and jaguar; both were damn delicious! Try it if you have the time.

Without a doubt my favorite restaurant! The good is always amazing and the service has always been very attentive and friendly. I always have the fish tacos (I keep telling myself I am going to have something new when I go but the tacos are so good I just give in to what I know I will walk away happy with). They're just THAT amazing! My daughter and other friends I have taken there over time have ventured out on other menu items and they are always spot on. Lavender lemonade is DELICIOUS! Please try it! Desserts are just perfect to end the night with---even if you have to take it home to enjoy because you're full from the amazing meal. I have eaten at Crockett's three times now and think it is great. Last night we sat at the bar and Lena helped us, she was knowledgeable, fun and full of energy! The bad (but not so bad its keeping me from returning)- the parking. It sucks, the lot in the back is tiny and hard to even park my Civic. Street parking is available for like 5 cars. It's loud- it is not a great place to go on a first date, or if you want to have an extensive convo. If you sit directly next to your date then you are fine but across the table? Not gonna talk. It's crowded/busy- The place is small and the hype is big so there are lots of people and this results in long waits, busy staff. Just be prepared. The good- THE FOOD. great beer selection on tap, great apps, and wonderful desserts. We shared the Bourbon Butterscotch pudding and it was to die for. I will be dreaming about it for a long time. The empanadas are wonderful, the flat bread is amazing. The meatballs as seen on Triple D is good but inconsistent. The first time I had it was THE BEST THING I'VE EVER HAD. Second time was too spicy and hurt my stomach later. Also I like the atmosphere with brick walls and stained glass fixtures.

This place has a lot of positive reviews for a reason - good food! We got there for lunch on a Monday, a little after 1:00 pm, so slightly past the rush, but were still able to be seated right away. Nice, rustic pub-type ambiance. My wife had the seafood chowder which looked awesome and was. I went with the many Yelp recommendations and tried the grilled cheese and tomato soup, which really was very good and approached perfect given the chilly, overcast day. We shared the bourbon pudding for dessert; it was to die for. Wait staff was friendly and service was prompt. It's not the cheapest lunch in town - soup & sandwiches for two, a couple of beers and one dessert was nearly $50 - so we couldn't afford to do this regularly. A very nice occasional treat, however, and I would have to agree with other reviewers that the food is well worth it.

The service was great! Food prices are high. They got two of our orders wrong. The fried chicken sandwich was raw in the middle, make sure you cut into it before you eat it. The BLT only had one strip of peppered bacon. They give you one street taco with very little meat filling and it cost over $8. I wouldn't recommend this place at all and I'm surely not going back.

Great bar and staff is always adequate. It can get quite busy so make sure to get there before 6 on any night if you have a group! They don't take reservations which is a bummer but it's the best eats in Puyallup. Try the basil BLT and grilled artichoke!

Did the dishes previewed on DDD tv show. We liked the meatballs in sauce although there was a weird consistency with it...Didn't seem like a meatball but more like meatloaf. It had a very soft texture. Did the smoked artichokes...everyone at the table reallyl liked that dish. The final dish was the least liked and that was the sloppy joes. That dish was just blah....service was quick and the place itself is really nice. Very spacious and the tables and booths are nice and big. Was okay for a one trip.

A BBQ place and more, Crockett's delivers a lot of choice on their menu while retaining the feel of a down-home BBQ joint. We ordered their spicy meatballs as an appetizer, and I'm usually not one to rave about a cooked blob of ground beef, but I do have to admit that these meatballs were terrific- smartly spiced and in a zesty red sauce. For my meal I ordered the "Mexican street tacos" with BBQ brisket as the filling. The dish was fantastic, but their was only one small taco on the plate. :-( I'm a big guy, so portion-size matters to me, and this one fell painfully short. It was made even worse by how good it was. Anyway, the service was great, prices were reasonable, and they offered a good selection of microbrew beers as well, if you're into that (if you're not you should be). I was also excited by the promise of cask beer (beer that is not artificially carbonated), but they were all out when we went. In short, great meatballs, good service, great BBQ, small portion sizes, and an unstable cask beer supply.

I booked Crockett's private room for my mom's 70th birthday party sight unseen based on Yelp reviews. It was PERFECT! SERVICE: I booked the private room several months in advance. It holds 25 comfortably, and we squeezed in a few extra kiddos with no sweat. There were no deposit or banquet fees and no fuss over separate checks. When we arrived, the kitchen worker who was outside on a break helped us with parking. They let us tape decorations all over the place, found a pencil sharpener for us, and had no problem with us bringing in our own cupcakes. We had our own entrance and 3 servers for 25+ people. The servers were imminently gracious, lovely, happy, and patient, even when trying to navigate through kids running around, people blocking their path, and trying to find the person who ordered and had changed seats. Literally NOTHING was a problem. FOOD: The menu was diverse and the food was excellent. I was very happy with the healthy and gluten-free choices and selected the kale and Brussels sprouts salad, which was delicious. I also sneaked a few of the string sweet potato fries and regular fries from my neighbors and finished off with the Butterscotch Bourbon pudding. VIBE: This place has a very cool, old-fashioned, down-home vibe with a large wooden cash register at the entrance, wooden crates displaying the liquor in the bar, great artwork, and lots of other nice little touches. This will be my new go-to restaurant in downtown Puyallup, for sure!

If you dine here and your waiters name is Bourbon, do not order the wine flight. On Saturday night we went to Crocketts for my husbands birthday dinner. I ordered the white wine flight and another person in my party ordered the red wine flight. When our waiter brought them, he sat them down on the table and was about to walk away. I said, can you tell us what we are tasting? He says, I will try, but the bar is very busy. He comes back after a few minutes and says... I am really sorry, but they already put the bottles away, so I can't see what was poured. I was really disappointed with this server. The food at Crocketts is always great, and I have always had great service up until this past Saturday night.

The hardest part is finding a parking spot, but it is worth it. In the Puyallup area, it is the best, we go weekly now and we are picky so that is saying a lot.

Like many others, I came here after seeing it on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives! :-) It was packed tonight (Sunday) at 5:30, but I'm guessing it was because of a football game going on. Service is very friendly and the environment here is loud, lively, and fun. I ordered the Sloppy Joe and shared the buffalo wings with my friend to start. The buffalo wings were VERY good, especially with the crumbles of blue cheese. My sloppy joe, however, was a little disappointing. It was a little too sweet for me and it wasn't hot enough. My sweet potato fries on the side were perfect though! Parking was also kinda annoying. Hmmm...other than that....don't know! Probably wouldn't go back...just wanted to try it cause I saw it on tv. Haha.

ONLY Reason they didn't get five stars was due to the waitress. She was really flakey when it came to the drinks. Either forgot them or kept us dry for long periods of time. Home made chips.....amazing! The red pesto sauce was fantastic. I had the vegetarian burger. Exceeded my expectations I am still thinking about it. Deep fried portabella cap with cheese inside for the patty. I don't even remember my fries because it was so amazing. My sister had the chili...it was basically pulled pork chili...wow made me want to convert to eating meat again. We also had the brownie dessert. MMMMM delicious. Will be back for sure, with friends!

Found myself yelping for a nice lunch spot on my visit home and saw that Crockett's had quite a few stars so I decided to try it out. I am glad I did! I am not a vegetarian by all means, but I was drawn to the Veggie burger. Usually, you get some sort of soy patty or a patty made out of beans, however at Crockett's my veggie burger was chock full of veggies and ooey gooey cheese that would turn any meatatarian into a vegetarian. If you are a fan of mushrooms and avocado I advise ordering the veggie burger. My sister, who is a picky eater could not get enough of their chipotle aioli, which she started dipping everything into! I even dipped my burger into it. I would gladly take a bottle of it home with me.....Not only was the food great, service was top notch, in fact, the only reason why we knew about the chipotle aioli was because the bartender recommended that we try it because it was one of her favorite things at the restaurant. I am definitely coming back here next time I visit!

Oh Crocketts... a little gastropub that you would think belonged in Seattle but is actually located in Puyallup. Across from a 7-11, and wedged in between a law office and a yoga studio, Crockett's is a hidden gem in Puyallup. Recently visited by Guy Fieri from Diner's Drive-in's and Dives, this place has exploding with customers waiting to taste their tasty culinary creations and divine alcoholic concoctions. My favorites at Crockett's are their mussels cooked in a small cast iron pot, bloody mary's with an eccentric array of garnish (I will not say no to a hunk of salami as a garnish), juicy burgers, crispy fries and delicious breakfasts! I don't want to give any more details, you must go and experience this public house for yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed! It's worth the drive wherever you're coming from!

This is a local favorite of mine.. I have been working my way through the menu & so far everything is really great. The fried chicken sandwich & bourbon butterscotch pudding are "must-try" items. This place has the best hamburgers in Puyallup. The bartender, Lana, is hands down the best in Puyallup too. Although the food is really good, Lana is really what keeps us coming back consistently. She has great taste in pairing drinks with food and is incredibly personable.

Ordered the pulled pork which, but returned it as it had MAYBE 2 tbls of pork spread across the bun. Took one little bite, and the taste was good, but I didn't think the pork was at all worth the price. Instead, I ordered the chicken burger. It was awesome. The toppings were very "bahn mi" esque with radish, pickled carrot and cucumber. I confess, the fries were not that great. Had about 4 of them and each had what must have been a gritty piece of sand...unwashed?? Judging by the crowd, this place is good. I think I just ordered the wrong thing initially. My husband liked his spicy hamburger. We'll go back when in the area.

Realistically this place deserves 3.5 stars. It's a little better than OK but not quite a fan just yet. I do like the decor and setting of this place. There's a hometown feel, a rustic welcoming atmosphere like you belong. The place was bustling with people and servers which is a good sign. We were quickly greeted and seated in the bar. We ordered a variety of dishes and there were a few that was top notch while others fell just a little flat. Appetizer was the meatballs. 5 stars. Pretty pricey at $16.99 for 3 meatballs but it was a decent size per ball and packed a ton of flavor and quite a bit of heat as well. I was a little skeptical that there was lemon zest and pistachio shavings. However I didn't want to request to alter the dish because I believe if that is how it is served, don't insult the chef! The meat was succulent and juicy all the way through. The cayenne and chili flakes really brings out a lingering kick at the end of every bite. I ordered the St. Louis style half rack of ribs. Fall off the bone soft but really nothing to rave about when it comes to the BBQ flavor itself. Given that my standard of great BBQ has been skewed from my travels to the midwest. The coleslaw was freshly made tasting but almost too freshly made, the flavors didn't seem to have been well marinated in. The highlight of the rib dish was the crispy potatoes. It was like potato chunks so soft and baked potato like in the middle but a crispy salty crunch on the outside. Amazingly delicious. $17.99 My buddy had the flagship burger which we split. This was a flopper. $12.99 for a burger is already a stretch but if it's above $10 it has to be amazing... This burger was far from it. The meat patty was cooked perfectly and was nice and smooth taste when eating by itself. But combined with the onions, tomatoes, lettuce - all those flavors masked the taste of the burger patty itself. The beecher's cheese was what I was looking forward to tasting but even that was thinly layered and melted to the point of no flavor. The saving grace to the burger itself from being a huge disappointment was the brioche bun (which was perfect). The garlic fries were decent - all depends on taste, nothing really beats the garlic fries at Safeco field but these were okay at best. The garlic didn't soak onto the fries themselves, unless you were able to pinch the minced garlic and eat it with the fries the flavor wasn't really all there. The best entree on the table was ordered by another friend. The Crispy Fish Sandwich, $10. Ironically the cheapest dish was the best dish. The fish was cripsed to perfection. A perfect balance of thousand island paired perfectly with a solid cut of fish, fried to perfection. Nice and flaky and full of flavor on that great brioche bun. My girlfriend had a side salad (nothing note worthy) and an order of the fire grilled artichoke $11.50. Again following the theme of pricey. For that dollar amount you get one artichoke cut in half and fire roasted with a chili aioli. I couldn't justify the cost nor the flavor or even defend this dish. I don't understand eating artichoke unless its in a dip. There's a lot of effort to pull the leaves off and scrape it with ur teeth to taste fire char... i just don't get it. Not blown away by the meal but more the prices - we decided to wrap up our lunch with the Pear Apple Pie. That was delicious. It was kind of like a bear claw, with chunks of pear and apples. Topped with fresh vanilla bean ice cream. Simply delicious. Perfectly bakes, not overly sweet - yummy. Overall - the food was okay at best (with the exception of two great dishes). I'd say it's good but expensive. The total bill was about $95 for lunch for four people. In which one didn't even have a full meal and we all drank water. I'd probably come back and try the happy hour menu as everything ran about $5 and it is available all sunday. So stay tuned for an update if they can earn more stars!

Food and service was amazing. Only annoying thing is sitting and eating lunch and hearing the kitchen scream for food runners every other minute. I worked in this industry and every time they would yell a server was busy at a table. Maybe an expediter might help this problem. Other than that loved our server and the food!

My sister saw the episode of Diners, Drive-in's and Dives with Crockett's and talked us all into wanting to check it out. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 230, the parking was horrible! We ended up driving around the block a few times before finding a place to park. The restaurant wasn't too busy, there was alot of empty tables, but there were alot of people waiting to be seated which was kind of odd. Several people walked out because the wait was so long. The bar has a nice layout with an open layout with interesting decor. Just beware if you are with kids, in the waiting area it gets pretty cramped up there and the bar is right up front with a narrow walk way. My niece needed the bathroom and since the main area was blocked we accidentally walked through the bar area and were yelled at. Oops! I ordered the Mom's Sloppy Joe which was good! It was pretty spicy for me and very very sloppy, but the portions are very generous. We ordered the fire grilled artichoke to share and it was delicious! I'm not much of an artichoke fan, but I really liked this one. My favorite of all was my sisters order of the grilled cheese melt. Sounds simple, but OH MY was it glorious! With provolone, muenster and gruyere cheese on crusted sourdough bread, mmmm mmmm mmmm this was so good! Hands down best grilled cheese sandwich I've had! Overall I really like this place. The parking & wait wasn't much fun, but the food was really good and I will go back and try the ribs and other fan favorites.

Visited on a Friday early evening, they were quite busy. We stood in the bar area until we got a table in the bar. The food was very good and they have good beer selection. Waitstaff was very attentive. And they've done a nice job with the restoration of the space. It's definitely A-OK, probably A-OK+. I'd like to be a fan, but it was over $30 for 3 piece fish and chips (no slaw, just fish and chips) and two IPAs. Plus tax and tip. Seems a little steep. At the end of the day this place is basically a sports pub beer and burger join, not a high end restaurant. Does Guy Fieri ruin every restaurant he goes to? Maybe ordering off the $5 appetizer happy hour menu is more my speed, 3-6 PM M-F, beers a dollar off.

Sometimes there can be a 40ish minute wait....but doesn't that speak volumes? Once you get seated the service is great. Food has never been a let down. Everything I have ever eaten there has been amazing. When I go I want to try something new, but the things I have already tried always sound delish too! :) Their home-made sauces are fantastic. If you are getting an appetizer, get the Old School Potato Crisps and you will get three of their dipping sauces. OMG!! Amazing!!!

If you want something out of the norm, but not too far out there, this is the perfect combo of fresh and flavorful. First time eating here tonight. We had an awesome experience. From the outside it looks like any other hole in the wall. When you walk inside it's an up scale pub, kid friendly and friendly staff. Kaylyn, our server was personable, funny and had great tips about the menu. Like Kaylyn said, everything is made from scratch, even the ranch. Between the four of us we had the fried cod, fish street taco and fries, the artichoke, and waffles. Everything had great flavor. I don't typically get excited about fries, but theirs are the best. The artichoke was the perfect appetizer. The biggest surprise were the waffles, they weren't just a Belgian waffle, they melted in your mouth with the best cinnamon flavor. This is our new favorite restaurant!

Made it in on my second attempt - first try gave up after multiple trips around the area looking for parking. Yes it's tough. Inside is pretty open pleasant atmosphere with a fairly small bar area and a long narrow seating area for dining. From the very start service was great on our Friday lunchtime visit. It was busy but not crazy. Tried several items and everything was at least good. The grilled artichoke was what my wife wanted to try and is was ok but not awe inspiring. My daughter had a very large hot dog and devoured it, so must have been good. I didn't think much of the string fries. The crunchified pulled pork was fine, the sliders were fine, and the grilled cheese was fine. All sounds kind of oh well, so so huh? Pretty much. Nothing to be disappointed about, but not worth a trip or going out of your way. However, the dessert was glorious. Butterscotch bourbon pudding with a surprise salting to make it one of my all time favorites.

I am in California and began calling restaurants in Puyallup, WA for meal delivery. I only found pizza. A dear friend in Puyallup had just had back surgery and had no one local to help her with meal preparation. I finally called Crockett's Public House and spoke with Misty. Though they do not deliver, they made an exception and delivered a wonderful meal to my convalescing friend. A steak dinner arrived promptly and was exactly as ordered. Customer service like this is hard to find anywhere. A big THANKS to Misty and the staff at Crockett's.

First, parking can be a total pain. The parking closest to the restaurant is reserved most of the day for the yoga studio next door. I called to get an idea of the wait as we headed down. They said at that time there was none at all. When we arrived 10 minutes later I was told it would be 35 to 45 minutes. We talked about leaving and they suddenly opened up a table at the front. The bench seats in this booth are wood. Don't plan on sitting there comfortably for too long. It took quite a while for us to even get menus. I think with them opening the table they may not have let the wait person know. It seemed a bit out of sorts for a while. Four adults, a toddler and an infant in our party. Overall the food was okay. We started with the crispy zucchini and the potato chips. I loved the pimento cheese dip that was one of 3 included with the chips. Among the adults we had the blt, the bbq ribs, a grilled cheese and tomato soup, and the sloppy joe. The grilled cheese seemed burned on the outside. There might be a few other items I'd like to try, but I don't think I'll make a special trip to Puyallup to do so.

First off, I see what people mean by over priced. Some of the items are a little on the high scale. But! My fish and chips were stunning with a really nice batter and fresh fish. My fiances' pulled pork was good. Not amazing but I'm kind of a snob with pulled pork. We ordered chips, guacamole and salsa... Also, very good. Our drinks definitely had alcohol in them, which is always nice considering not everyone does a decent pour. Last but not least our server was attentive and had plenty of good advice on the food. This review is a little late coming. I went with a group several months ago. We used the back room. The staff was warm and welcoming. They bent over backwards to help us. Awesome food. Great Service. We had chicken and waffles. The waffles are cinnamon. It comes with half of chicken fried. Hot sauce and warm syrup. The waffles with syrup taste amazing and have a cinnamon toast crunch taste. My daughter who is almost 2 loved the waffles. The fried chicken was crunchy, juicy, and flavorful. I didn't even use the hot sauce except on one bit. My husband ate the meatballs...they say a kick of spice. No kick is not the right word...more like a slingshot. The spice level is gradual then the more you eat the more the spice level builds. The pistachio's add a nice crunch and change of texture. The bread was amazing. The lavender lemonade was refreshing. There were no leftovers of meatballs, only two pieces of chicken and 1/4 waffle.

Well, let's start with me. I had a half of fried chicken served with a waffle. It was so small it looked like a Cornish game hen. The flavor was good and was very crispy like I like but there was not much of it at all. I was extremely disappointed at the size. But, I was told that the owner had created this playlist for the background music. For me, it was the best part of the meal! Now for my wife. She had the barbecue St. Louis ribs which was very tender. The rub was good flavor but had a bit too much spice. And the barbecue sauce on the side was homemade and was too spicy. The salad was good and fresh and the coleslaw was good but slightly on the bland side. She wouldn't order the ribs again and would try something different but I would encourage her to never come back. Oh well. Oh, the staff was nice.

First time here and we were seated quickly by a friendly hostess. Our waitress was pleasant and very nice. Love that they give you a water carafe. We had sourdough bread that was good, we shared "The Dude" and then shared the Fudge Brownie Waffle Sundae. The food was extremely flavorful and came quickly. The Yukon Gold potatoes were amazing! Came here yesterday again for lunch with the same lunch companion. He was still boring and unfortunately so was my meal. Haha. We got up front parking on the street, so that was nice. Walked in and were greeted instantly by a sweet, young hostess. We were immediately sat at a table (yay for no wait!) Our waitress came over shortly after to get our drink order. Don't remember her name, but she was super sweet too. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and my friend had a lemonade. I was under the impression that an Arnold Palmer was part lemon part tea... I got a tea with a lemon slice and that was the only lemon flavor I had... For our entrees, I ordered the Memphis Burger and he had the infamous Meatballs. My burger was boring and tasted exactly like the Green Chile Burger I had last time I was there. The menu said it had a bbq aioli on it, but it came with the same chipotle aioli that was on the GCB. The only thing that separated the MB from the GCB burger were all the jalapenos thrown on the sammie. Towards the end the jalapeno juice and aioli overtook the bottom bun and it got super soggy :/ So I took it off and had an Atkins burger :) Had the regular fries this time. Way better than the SP fries. Don't bother with them, have the regular fries ALWAYS. Kind of reminded me of smaller versions of Five Guys fries :D My friend had the meatballs. He saw it on the show and decided he MUST try them. My boss had had them before and also said they were yummy, so of course I had to have a bite! :) They were pretty good. The sauce was yummy, and they weren't hard and dry balls that you sometimes get at other places. Even the bread that came with it was yummy! He ate all 3 balls, 3.5 pieces of bread, and soaked up all the sauce with said bread. haha Needless to say, his meal was the winner yesterday. So 4 stars again, despite my meal being a letdown. The atmosphere is great, the servers are sweethearts, and for the most part the food is good. :)

Came here about 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon. It was a great choice. Everything is homemade. We started with the artichoke and chips and guacamole. Both the chips and guacamole were made to order. We had the grilled cheese with tomato soup, a couple of Mexican street tacos and a burger. Everything was terrific. The service was great. They worked as a team and were great. Came here with a girlfriend of mine and the food was pretty amazing. My only displeasure was that after standing in the entrance-way waiting to be seated, we ended up just seating ourselves. No one bothered to apologize (which could have happened when I told the server that no one seated us) and the server was less than enthused to be waiting on us. Sorry for thinking you wanted our business. My gf had herself a BLT (which she says was amazing!!) with fries and I munched on the bacon bacon burger with coleslaw. Yummy for sure. Decided to give their new breakfast/brunch a try last Sunday. Got there right when they opened at 0800. Things were looking up. They were up and running, fully staffed (over staffed, actually) with servers hustling around and the kitchen full of activity. As good as their green chili burger was for dinner, I was excited to try their "hangover" burger (with bacon and egg on it). First of all, let me say that a medium egg on a medium burger should be the ONLY way a burger should be allowed to be served. But I digress. Wife got the breakfast burrito and both were very underwhelming. In an atmosphere that is hard to beat, the bloody mary was also average. Perhaps it all started to roll together and I found myself disappointed and would expect more from a place that had done so well in the past. I was relieved that I was asked how I wanted my burger cooked, so I wouldn't have to. Unfortunately, after ordering it medium, the patty came fully cooked through, all brown and skimpy at that. The breakfast burrito made me sad. Wife remarked that Jack in the box could do better and even if I wanted to, I couldn't argue against that. It seems like, as other places have similarly done, with simply trying to add an income stream with something outside of their core business, Crocketts has attempted this... without the quality and effort of their lunch and dinner offerings. Unfortunately for them, this idea backfired in the worst way and are simply hurting their brand with this misstep.

This place is AWESOME! I can't beleive Puyallup has something like this that is not up on South Hill! I was just there for happy hour and haven't got to try the full menu yet but the Chips and the Franks Hot Wings were perfect!

This is my second visit to Crockets. I d had the lobster Mac and Cheese. Boring! No flavor. My son loved the tomato soup and toasted cheese. The burgers at the table were "fine". The last person had the club sandwich which was good, but came with the wrong fries. All in all, an ok meal but only two stars due to the high prices.

This place is awesome! I was up in Puyallup on business, and stopped here for dinner my second night in. It was absolutely packed, so I sat up at the bar. Got a swiss-mushroom burger and a Stella Artois and I was in heaven. Chatted with the bartender (whose name I can't recall) and even though he was super busy, he was still very friendly and made sure I was taken care of. Left very satisfied. I came back with my co-worker the night before we left town, and it was super packed again. I got the Mahi-mahi, and he got your standard fish & chips. The waitress very friendly and attentive, even though it was crazy busy again. I have to admit, I enjoyed my burger more than the fish, but it was still good. My co-worker said his food was excellent. The only regret I have is not coming here to eat every night I was in town. Now that I'm back home I find myself wishing that Crockett's came back with me.

Wow, what's this place doing in Puyallup? It feels like it should be in Fremont, West Seattle Junction or Columbia City. I think the reason why people come here is because it's not some lame-o chain off Meridian. It's unique and I like it. When my friend and I walked in we were greeted right away. It's always nice to be greeted with a smile. We were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly. We ordered the House Baked Flatbreads for an appetizer. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be cold, warm, or hot so just in case you are curious, it came cold. My friend had the Chicken Salad Sandwich. I had the Mexico City Street Tacos. I ordered 2 tacos because I thought they'd be the size of Marination Mobile's tacos (tiny) but they were regular size both packed with chicken. It was excellent I tell ya. I chose the side salad and even that was good. I had to take my second taco home because it was just too much food for me. Service was a bit slow because it was pretty busy. The servers work together because a different gal came to our table to bring us our appetizer. Parking sucked. We tried to park in the back and there were no spots. We ended up parking for free in the street one block away. Glad it's not like downtown where the city robs your wallet just to park for 1 hour. It's a good place for the 20's-40's crowd. They had the Bee Gees and Hall & Oats playing the background. They had ESPN at the bar. Very lively crowd. I'll be back.

Visiting from LA I was looking for a fun brunch spot to take my mom. I found this through YELP and boy did it NOT disappoint. The bloody Mary's were like a meal on their own with so many garnishes I had a lovely appetizer before breakfast even came. Lisa was our server and every suggestion she had was perfect and made it really special for my mom and me. We loved it so much that we came back to check out the happy hour menu two days later. Can't wait for my next northwest visit so I can come back! Top picks were corned beef and hash, breakfast tacos, fried zucchini and flatbread. Thanks Lisa for the awesome service!

We've been wanting to try this place for several months now. We put it off because my wife's Mom is a huge "Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives" fan and we wanted to share the experience of eating here with her for the 1st time. We totally should've eaten here sooner! I assumed that eating here for dinner on a Saturday in August would require a wait of some degree. And when we walked in I immediately felt the hum of a very busy restaurant. Fortunately they've got quite a large dining room and a very well trained staff. Our party of 4 plus a toddler was warmly welcomed and seated very quickly. The menu is large and varied. Seriously, there's something for everyone. I saw at least 5 meals that I seriously considered and now will need to come back to try next time. First: Drinks My wife had the Ginger Fizz and I had the Bourbon Smash. Both were pretty good. The Bourbon Smash is nearly an "old fashioned" but with less sugar and lemon along with the orange. I liked it but couldn't really taste the bourbon. I probably should've requested they make it with Makers Mark (next time). Father-in-law had a Mack n Jacks Beer- self explanatory. Next: Dinner My wife and her father both had the Clam linguine, her mom had the Memphis Burger and I had "The Dude". I'm sure everyone enjoyed their meals but I must admit that I was focused solely on the awesomeness of "The Dude". It's a ribeye, well seasoned with double strength au jus and crunchy yukon gold potatoes. They were even able to prepare it "Pittsburgh style" (charred outside, rare inside) which is not easy for most kitchens. It was one of the better steaks I've had lately. [To be clear, I would not say this steak is on par with the bone in 35 day aged primo steaks one would find at a Del-Monico's or Morton's or El Gaucho. But it didn't cost me $65+, either.] Afterwards while walking from the restaurant to the park everyone commented on how fresh and well crafted their meal was and how friendly the staff was and how well run the business was. And that's what I love most about restaurants like this. You can tell they take the craft of preparing a meal seriously, but they don't take themselves seriously. This is a place where simple does not equal shortcuts; where well crafted meals can be enjoyed while wearing shorts and flip-flops. I can't wait to go back.

Had another great dinner at Crockett's Friday night. I split the lobster mac & cheese w/ my SIL, the only regret for doing that was it was delish!!!!! It was still plenty and filling. We both had generous amounts of lobster and the rich gooey cheese was TO DIE FOR!! I am counting the days until I can return!!! Great service & wasn't to long of a wait!

Tasty fish and chips and cobb salad! They make a good mojito too with blueberries! The cobb salad is a good portion with blue cheese and dressing. Bacon bits are delishhhh. Comes with added sun dried tomatoes which I like. Good portions and quality meal! I highly recommed the place!!

What a very cool place. If I had a restaurant, it would be a lot like this place. The service is good. The management is engaging with the guests. There are some good drinks. Even the cook was able to make a good impression. He came to our table for a minute. The prices were good and the atmosphere was quite good. It was comfortable and crowded. The noise level was not too loud. The bar is setup so that you have good seats and can see the whole place from there. The bathrooms are really clean too.

Very slow to be seated, waited twice the time we were quoted. They sat larger parties who walked in after us. Food was average, service was slow. We were sat at a table sort of in the middle of the wait staff thoroughfare and one other customer almost knocked my entire drink over. Probably won't return.

We went yesterday, it was OK nothing to write home about. I had the BLT w/avocado $2.00xtra. The bacon was scant for a BLT. My friend had the green chilly jalapeno it was good. My other friend had the meatballs (too spicy) did not expected to have spicy meatballs. The service was nice and friendly. Just not worth the wait.

I have been here twice with friends and family. The burgers and fries are the best you will find south of seattle. The steaks were also fabulous! We have had good service both times and the atmosphere is fun. This place got two thumbs up from our 4 year old as well, he loves the sliders.

What great people that work here!! All of the employees genuinely seemed happy to be working there and super personable. I felt as if I had been going there for forever by the way I was treated! The food was great, my boyfriend had the pineapple steak and I was skeptical on a steak being marinated, but when I had tried a piece of his is was delightfully delicious!!! Not to heavy on the flavor, just enough to enhance the tenderness and yummyness of the steak itself. I met Tracy the g.m and she was a breathe of fresh air!! You can tell she loves her job and her employees. I'll definitely be going back.

Delicious food! On my first visit, I ordered the fried (half) chicken and waffle. I was in heaven with bite one. While the skin is usually the best part of fried chicken, the chicken itself was fantastic. Very flavorful...maybe injected with spices? The cinnamon waffle was crunchy and a great pair to the chicken. On my second visit, I had the cod and chips. Again, fantastic flavor. Fish was moist and flaky and the batter was crisp and flavorful. The house cut fries with gorgonzola and bacon is an amazing appetizer! Go here. You won't be disappointed! Can't wait to try their breakfast menu!

In town to visit family and I'm so excited I found this place. I know I can't visit every day but I look forward to coming again! The location is very accessible and the space is open and very relaxing. Music is on but conversation is easy. From our seats we admired all the food coming out of the kitchen, it all looked so good it was hard to decide what to have from their variety of choices. My mom had the sloppy joe and said it had some spice to it but the whole thing was eaten right up. Fries looked like they would be mushy but they were firm, fresh and delicious. I had the fish and chips, my normal go-to meal. It was probably the best I have had since London. The taste of the fish was so flavorful it melted in the mouth. The bar crisp chips were crispy and somewhat tasty but I think they would benefit from a distinct flavor for the restaurant. Some spice or something would make them a little better. All in all I'm excited to see the restaurant in town and so happy I found it. I will encourage others to visit and will be back. It rivals restaurants I've been to all around the country.

Also, there's just something about an open kitchen that makes you trust the food you're getting. And did I mention this is in Puyallup? Yes indeedy! Puyallup has a really good quality restaurant!

Been here a few times with my wife, alone, and with the kids. Hasn't dissappointed. Everything is great, and the service is relaxed and just right. Great, low key but well decorated atmosphere. Solid beer selection, The Sloppy Joe is incredible, not something that you typically see on restaurant menus. Appy's are all good. Wife loves the fish tacos. Looking forward to trying a breakfast there soon.

I recently spent a month in town on business, and Crocketts was a staple in my dining rotation. I have not yet had an average or below average dish from this restaurant, not did anyone else I was traveling with. Kudos to the proprietors of this establishment for combining stellar food with a very comfortable atmosphere!!!!!!

Ok dont listen to any of the negative reviews. This place is awesome. I love love love the food and cant believe its in Puyallup. You're right its not cheap but it's not expensive most meals are between 11 and 30 bucks. There are plenty of crappy cheap food places in town so go there if you're looking for cheap. You do get your money's worth. Fantastic food with unique flavour combo's. It's my favorite place to eat. Service can be slow if its busy which is is often cause its so great but come with a good attitude and appetite and you wont be disappointed. Yes, I would love a Happy Hour :)

I've been here a few more times, and I have to say they are very close to that fifth star now. At first their food was "a lot" too spicy, but they have learned moderation, and now it is well seasoned. Funny, but they are asking for Yelp reviews, and they must be reading them, as ICE is now served with water! Unfortunately, it was so cold inside, that my wife and I ended up wearing our coats through the entire meal. The staff is still wonderful, some of the friendliest I've encountered (the chefs even give you a greeting!). The volume still seems loud to me, between the music, diners, staff and TVs, and let's not forget a passing train or two. And parking...Oy, the headache it can be. Use the lot behind the Trackside Pizza or street parking unless you want a towing bill added to your meal. So, my rating: Staff - A+, Food-A, Atmosphere-B

I absolutely loved this place. It proves that food does not need to be complicated or unusual to be excellent. If you are in the mood for mostly traditional sandwiches, salads and other pub entrees that are extremely well executed this is the place. We ordered the veggie burger and the fish sandwich and both were absolutely delicious with wonderful combinations of textures and flavors. Service was just right.

I was excited to see a new restaurant in Puyallup and Crockett's didn't disappoint. We had about a 15 minute wait to be seated on a Friday evening, so it's evident other South Sounders are fans. Our server was prompt and friendly. We ordered the potato crisps to start - pretty good... would consider ordering again. Hubby had the crispy burger and loved it. I had the Memphis BBQ burger and enjoyed it, but I'm looking forward to trying other menu items. The coleslaw wasn't my favorite - the flavors hadn't had a chance to mesh very well. On the way out, we saw their awesome plates of chicken and waffles - I'm definitely ordering that next time. Parking is a bit of a challenge, especially that day / time.

Even our hostess, who we spent all of one minute with, was fantastic! Our server was at our table regularly with an enthusiasm for her product and a great sense of humor. We had the veggie burger, the flatbread with bleu cheese, and a chicken taco. The food blew us away. The dishes were unique and refreshing, and resonably priced. We were also happy with the beer selection, which had beers that are not found in the average restaurant. Both of us are excited to come back and explore the menu and bring our friends with us!

My wife and I have eaten there several times now each time we go we hope for a better exprience but never get it. First off they need to fix the heat every time we go there it is like eating dinner in walk-in cooler. Second the seating has much to be desired.Tthe chairs are a flimsy cheap wicker and the booths are not padded it is just hard wood seats and seat backs not comfortable and relaxing at all! The food is sometimes very good and others not good at all very poor consistency. The place has potential but they charge $3 for bread? the service is NEVER good. Tonight we waited over an hour for our food they never said sorry or offered to comp our meals when they finally brought it out to us it was luke warm at best. All this on a Wednesday late afternoon/early evening while there were only 3 other tables to be served. To say the least we will not be coming back to eat at this place again. I hope they pull it together as I hate to see such a good Idea go this bad.
