About Taco Bell
Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.
The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.
Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

We have been going here for years so when I checked in today saw all the bad reviews, I knew I had to share my experience. I enjoy real sushi and sashimi. The raw fish is excellent and prepared beautifully. The pieces are large enough to get a good taste but not ridiculously super sized so you are able to enjoy a variety of favors. My husband believes raw fish belongs in a fish bowl, and used to call eating here "The hunger games" because he would only get a few egg rolls and potstickers, which he enjoyed, but weren't very satisfying for a comedian such as himself. He finally ventured out and ordered off the menu and to his delight found the teriyaki delicious and now leaves fulfilled. The price is excellent and when it is busy the variety is amazing. Toward the end of the night, obviously there is less on the roll but that's when you too can exercise your right to order off the menu! It's like magic! You ask for a specific nigiri or roll and they prepare it for you! Service has always been prompt and friendly, but appropriate for a belt sushi place. They seat us and take a drink order. Sometimes we do have to work to get attention for Mr. Comedian to order his food, but it's not a huge deal. We signal when we are ready to go either by pushing away our plates or I get up and walk out to the car and stick him with the check works every time!

I recommend going shortly after they open.. The first time we went it was near closing so you get the remaining stuff. So our food wasnt the best. I didn't wanna drive to Lynnwood for sushi so we decided to give this place another try. I was happy we did. Everything we ate was amazing!!! My only complaint is please label your plates. I don't eat meat so I was afraid to try certain things. Also label it like blue c shushi does. Vegan, vegetarian, raw, etc I've never had a issue with customer service. Its a shushi belt for crying out loud lol

I was pretty surprised to find a sushi joint up Marysville way but a friend who used to work up here loved it and often frequented it, so we hit it up on an outlet mall trip. Its also a frequent haunt for the sailors at the nearby Navy facility, so we saw and chatted with a few of them over lunch. This is a conveyor belt restaurant and unlike other ones I've been to, the conveyor belt at this place circled twice around the workers, so patrons can see two rows of sushi moving through. We came about 1230 and the double belt was full. The sushi chefs kept the food coming out because the belt stayed full regardless of how many people came to eat and the restaurant got pretty busy. They had many different kinds of sushi, desserts, and other plates. Plates start at $1, which is pretty cool. I counted at least 7 different rolls that started with a California roll base, so its pretty non-raw-fish patron-friendly. The hot tea is warm and tasty. The only thing I didn't really like was the quality of fish: like most conveyor-belt places, raw fish (or seared fish) slices do get a little hard and stale if they've been going around a bit. A couple of my nigiri appeared to be less-than-fresh. Whatever my qualms were, my two gal pals really loved it and enjoyed our lunch. So, I'm probably just being over picky. They have a great selection mini cupcakes and all of their fruit plates have little umbrellas sticking out from them.

The first time was so so about a year ago. This time was off the charts good. Tuna and salmon we're impeccable and the kids enjoyed the strawberry rolls, miso, and fruit which was very fresh as well. Great time was had by all.
(4)K G.
Terrible meal. Terrible service. Family member got sick from the warm sushi. We will not be going back. The food quality has gone down since this establishment opened. Save your money. Eat a burger instead.
(1)Jeff C.
I'm honestly not sure what people on here are complaining about - Belt is better than many sushi spots I've been in all around the world (retired Navy). Yes, they do not cover every item - but many places don't cover anything. However, the chefs are always monitoring the time an item spends on the carousel, and unless you let your kids grab stuff off it (a no-no at any restaurant) then it's not an issue. There isn't always a big variety on the belt, as they keep waste down to a minimum. You can get the chefs to prep kind of roll you want if you don't see it on the belt, and they have a good menu of prepared dishes. Overall, a great place to go, without the inflated cost of a 5-star restaurant.
(4)Cindy Y.
Left totally dissatisfied. Sushiland is way better. Wish I hadn't came in here. I ordered 2 Salmon, 1 squid and a calamari because I couldn't find any salmon or squid on the belt. After I ordered, one of the servers basically yelled at me telling me needed to grab from the belt. She repeated that about 5 times, pointing at the belt and then back at my plates as if I couldn't understand. Rude, and sushi wasn't even good either. Never coming back !
(1)Sergee G.
My friend told me about this place I would say is the best in town So many choices the raw seafood is very fresh I loved every single piece I had Prices as low as $1.00 including miso soup They have different plate colors So you can see how much you are going to pay Green tea is the best I recommend this place To anybody
(4)Sarah W.
The sushi is better quality than marinepolis, but customer service is always pretty poor. I've visited on several occasions and I always leave a little disappointed. Sashimi is very good, but the rolls are just crab salad with toppings. Avoid the chicken wings at all costs. The waitstaff are very odd- they either ignore you or smother you. I've even had them come up and rub my back, which is so creepy. Ugh, please don't! Overall, if you must have sushi in Marysville/Smokey Point, it's okay and will meet your needs, but it's not going to be amazing.
(3)Alyssa R.
This is probably my favorite sushi place, I wish I lived way closer. They have such a great selection and everything tasted amazing.
(5)Lila W.
As others have said, I really didn't want to drive clear to Lynnwood for sushi, especially considering I hate sushi, and only went with friends who wanted it. The restraunt itself is clean, and the belt was really cool. All I ate was dumplings and chocolate cake (I've never seen chocolate cake at a sushi joint before, which was delicious!) Onto the next thing. Service was atrocious. We were a group of 5, and we stood and waited to be seated. There was no sign or anything, so my general rule of thumb is to wait until people start staring. Then we just sat ourselves, and my friends started grabbing plates. We didn't see anyone but the cooks until we were almost done, when the waitress came over with her huge attitude. She brought us our drinks, then we didn't see her the rest of the time, at least willingly. We waited for a while until my husband got up. sought her out, and asked for our bill. I've worked in the service industry my whole life, and this was shitty. I still left her a tip. I hate myself for it. Next time, I'll just make the trip.
(2)Luke P.
We've been here a few times as we desperately want to find a decent sushi place close to home. We've been 4 or 5 times and every time we've walked away wondering why we went in. The food is always warmer than it should be and never seems as fresh as better sushi places. The service ranges from terrible to not great. The price is good, but I guess you get what you pay for. Some of our trips deserve a 2 star but some deserve a 1 star. You get the point.
(1)Trevor T.
HORRIBLE!!!!! In every way!!! The worst service on the planet!! Sub par sushi at best! We will never be back! I couldn't believe how they treat paying customers! Mocking Americans, and making derogatory remarks about Americans!! This place does not deserve a spot on this soil!! So blown away by these employees!! Forever black balled!!
(1)Rebecca L.
I have been coming to this restaurant on and off since it opened. I noticed that the quality and variety has been going down hill gradually. I am still very thirsty from probably the fried calamari that I ate 5 hours ago. I do not over-react to MSG, since I grew up eating MSG, this is how I feel when I eat it. The seafood is not fresh. And there is an off taste in the sushi rice. The fried chili pepper that I got from the belt tasted like it had been sitting out for hours, without cover. A guy who sat down next to us also ordered fried calamari. It turned out he got twice as much a serving and they were all big plump pieces. All I had gotten was ends and bits of the tenacle. I should have taken a picture of it, but I had finished it off and was ready to leave. That is some way to treat your customer. I understand he could be a regular. But does my money worth half as much? It was the last straw and I will never come back again.
(1)Albert S.
I came in a bit after noon on a Friday and there were about 8+ others. They did a great job on presentation because the sushi rolling by was well-stocked and looked delicious. SB&R has a great variety of types of sushi. There were several kinds I've never seen before, but I wish they made it clear which sushi contained raw fish. After an awful run-in with food poisoning at another sushi place, I can't bring myself to eat raw fish, which made me hesitant to try other things on the belt. SB&R has 6 plate tiers ranging from $1-$4 and felt the sushi was fairly priced. I would give this place a solid 4 stars, but had to take off 2 stars for the dirty lamps above the sushi belts, the questionable freshness (sushi that should have been warm were cold), and the fact that my stomach had a hard time later that night. Pros: Awesome sushi presentation, tasted good. Great variety and different types of sushi. Cons: Temperatures weren't right - made sushi seem old. No labels on the sushi, didn't know what I was eating. Lamps above sushi belt covered in dust and cobwebs, yuck. My stomach did not agree with the sushi. Bad times were had.
(2)Tyler S.
Terrible customer service. Plates are not labeled so your guess is as goid as mine as to what you are eating. When I asked about sake, the waitress just repeated "sake is good". Fail
(1)Mr T.
Service is terrible. Only one roll worth ordering and with terrible service I would not recommend this place to my enemy. When we asked for a sliced hot pepper to put on our rolls they looked at us like we were out our mind and said no we can't do that. Wife had to ask the chef again before they realized we were serious. No offense to the people in this community that eat here but there must be a lack of quality food in the area because no way is this place worth my time or money. I guess to be far it is almost as good as 7-11. Do yourself a favor and eat dog food. You will be much better off. Yuk.
(1)Joe L.
Seriously, we love going to sushi, and just tried this place out. What we we saw was giant cuts of tuna, great plating, tons of desserts, and plates of so many different types of sushi that I haven't seen anywhere. I'm to the other sushi spots I used to go to, because we will be coming here for now on
(5)Heather W.
This is a great place for sushi close by our house. They have a huge selection and the staff is really nice. Now that we have a baby we tend to get seated in the booth area in the back that always gets ignored. It's not a huge deal but when you eat a Jewry attack roll and run out of water that's not fun. We will be back like we always are bit we just have to make sure we have enough time to have slow service.
(3)Scott L.
My family and I have had plenty of sushi, both good and poor, so when everyone was "thumbs up" I knew I had to review. Fresh, good presentation, good flavors ... All added up to a great quick sushi stop! Faves: baked mussels, fried pickled ginger roll.
(5)Derek W.
It's too bad, because all of the bad reviews on yelp still won't slow the tourist traffic that keeps this place afloat. They get one star because they are the last belt place this far north and I can't give a zero. But the food is terrible, service is substandard, and atmosphere . . . well . . . boxes of financials out in the dining area? We only go here on a blue moon because my son loves "sushi" (can't wait til he ages and discovers California rolls aren't sushi) and enjoys watching the belt work its circuitous route. If there was anything else nearby with a belt like there used to be, this place would lose its footing in the restaurant world and reopen as a Lionel Train shop. Stay away from anything that is over $3. Those plates last a while in Smokey Point.
(1)Jennifer F.
Absolutely horrible food and service, we will never go back. After we were sat at our booth we had to wait until we already had eaten 5 or 6 plates of sushi before we were even asked what we wanted to drink. The drinks were never refilled without us having to flag down one of the staff, and it still took longer after that. The sushi was terrible, it tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The rice was old.The hot food was luke warm at best. Even though we were there at a peak time for dinner, the selection on the belt was very slim. We tried at least 10 different things and almost everything was nasty. We ended up leaving hungry and very dissatisfied with the inattentive service. Don't waste your money here.
(1)Daniel K.
I LOVE sushi, which makes it nice having a place like this in north Snohomish County. I have been here at least a dozen times, each time I always leave satisfied. They have a decent menu (you can order items as well as pick from the already made rotating dishes.) The staff, mainly the cooks, are super friendly. They always greet you as you walk in the door. As for prices, I have seen a trend over that last couple years of prices rising. I was on the fence with a four star rating because of this. but the rest of the positives out way that. Overall I would definitely recommend Belt Sushi!
(4)Edgar C.
They wouldn't let us sit in the booth because there were only two of us even though they only had 5 people in the entire place.

I was excited to see a non-chain restaurant when driving through Smokey Point, so since we were starving, we thought, "sushi in Smokey Point? How bad could it be?" Well, 5 minutes inside, as I sat on a torn up chair entirely too close to a woman who smelled extremely "odd", I started to rethink our choice. We would have gotten up to leave, but the Asian woman who seemed to be the manager/waitress/owner seemed nice and I didn't want to offend her. I ordered a root beer, which she turned on her heel and grabbed out of the cooler behind us, and plopped it down in front of me - plastic bottle only, no offer of an iced glass or straw. My companion and I looked at each other and laughed, as this was so non-Japanese with regard to service. As we sat there and watched the UNLABELED, UNCOVERED food roll by on the belt, we both started to lose interest in our choice. The hot food was cold, the cold food was lukewarm, the lights hanging above had so much dust on them, I was certain we were getting a mouthful of dust with each dish we chose. There are two belts that run parallel to each other, and the odd smelling woman next to me couldn't wait foe the one in the back to get around to her, so she reaches over the front belt to grab off the back belt, dragging her sleeve across an uncovered dish in the process. While the dust, the food temperature, and the unlabeled/uncovered/unguarded by a barrier food churning around the belt in front of us being subjected to random people's sleeves may not seem concerning enough, there were two dirty mops propped up next to the cooler from which my bottled rootbeer came. I think an unannounced visit from the health inspector and a tweak to the food presentation may be in order. Oh, and by the way, 3 hours later both of us expelled every bit of food we consumed, suddenly and rather violently. Sorry if that was TMI.

First of all who closes at 9 on a weekend? Even more so the kitchen at 830..Then they refused to sit us in a booth because they already closed down half the seating area we were forced to put our three year old on the edge of the bar which was uncomfortable. I couldn't get half the rolls I came for to begin with so needless to say I was really searching I was able to order a go to roll and when the chef gave us it he said is there anything else you guys want(almost to elude to hurrying us along and at this point it was 835 anything you want to bother me with) refused to make us a spider roll because the kitchen closed three minutes prior... We have been coming here for two years and the service has gone from "okay we really don't need customer service because we can just eat and go to) wow how hard is it to get a drink before we go to pay for our meal.... Ridiculous
(1)J T.
I give ZERO STARS SOOO BAD!!! My son literally got sick right after eating the spicy tuna. Rancid meat!!!! The lady there said there was no manager to talk to and then preceded with racist comments like, "you American, get out of here!!!" Yes were American Indian and Asian HAHA WHAT A DIVE! Don't go there! You will be Sick!!

Thought we would give them another chance tonight, Valentine's Day. The food is pretty good but customer service is extremely lacking. We have been refused service multiple times because we show up in the last half hour of operation. So sorry we close at 9. Ok it's 845 and we called ahead. Ya we close at 9. See you next time. NO, NO you won't.

I thought this would be a good experience, boy was I wrong. Walked in to be seated by a gal, she put us at the bar seating, which was fine, however before we sat down my husband and I asked if we could move ONE seat over to be in the booth at the time they were all empty.....the gal said "sorry, but no"....mind you there, is PLENTY of seating available. Fifteen minutes later a couple came in, they greeted the couple and the couple walked past us and said "we'll sit right here" (at the booth seats I previously requested). Wow. Total slap in our face. No reservation needed for them. This place is sadly missing the boat with customer service. That being said, food is nothing to write home about. I will not be back.

I came here with a group of friends after mushroom hunting. One of the friends recommended this place. I bet it's very very rare to have a belt sushi place in Smokey Point. Majority of the customers looked amazed by its setup. The presentation of their sushi, dishes, and desserts are very very pretty. However, the taste was just ok! Some of the dishes were supposed to be warm. But they were cold. Price wise, depends on what you get... so, it can be vary! Well, the service was ok as well. The server wasn't proactively filling out water or tea. Kudos to this place in this neighborhood!

Went yesterday for dinner. Seated immediately with a smile like always. Brought our hot tea and it was refilled when empty - like always. Had a variety of average sushi's, all tasty in my opinion...like always. Very prettily done, with tobiko garnishes, etc..like always. They count up the plates IN FRONT OF YOU, so no chance for overcharging.like always. Nice when you leave with a smile, like always. I seriously do not know where all the negative posts are coming from. Dinner for less than $20 and you are full and happy and its fast? And yummy? What is the problem, people? And whats the big deal with the booths? Its a SUSHI PLACE..you generally eat at the bar in a sushi place~! Still love it.

Love this place me and my wife are locals have been going here for a few years now and love this place! Always get great service from the owners all the time. Limited space when they are busy but thats usually a good sign that people love it here too. good prices, good variety of sushi. If your not a raw fish fan (as some friends aren't) they have cooked hot food menu to choose from. They serve adult drinks (typically sake, wines, beer) and pepsi products. Can get expensive if you should choose to eat as they are a colored plate system.

Went there with my wife and kiddos...She goes pretty often. Some of the worst customer service and old sushi.....I will never be back

This place is absolutely horrible. The first plate I got was tuna, 2 seconds into it I could tell it was very 生è‡ã„ (old, fishy, like you are eating garbage). I then ordered a miso soup which was very old & reheated over and over to save costs. Next, hoping that I just happened to get the wrong things, & trying to just enjoy a meal, I ordered a amaebi (sweet shrimp). The lady told me to wait for one to come on the belt (one that has likely been going around & around for hours). I told her I wanted one made, not off the belt, & she said if you don't like it you can leave. The people here are korean, likely zainichi because the lady can understand a little sliver of my japanese. She tried to say that is how it is in japan, which is completely wrong. When the amaebi came, it was not amaebi but regular shrimp with a lot of mayonnaise and sauce in an attempt to hide the fact (amaebi is much more expensive). In summary, this is one of the few places I have ever been which has both utterly disgusting, vomit inducing garbage which you pay to put in your mouth & service that is so horrible that the state prison cafeteria looks like a five star dining establishment. Let's not even call it a "service", because that would be a insult to the meth smoking mcdonalds drive through guy who takes an hour to get me the wrong burger. Holy good god I've never been to such a horrible restaurant.

Great sushi for price!! Always stop by here on our way to seattle! Sushi fresh and super nice service!
(5)Courtney F.
Amazing me and my family are stilling eating here and it amazing so come and help us finish
(5)Kat H.
My love and I have been going to this sushi belt for about a year now. It started off being one of our favorite places for sushi but now every time we go, one of us or both get sick. I think they leave their sushi on the belt for too long. We won't be going back.
(1)Estella P.
Had lunch with a friend at this place. I mainly had the sashimi here (hamachi, tai, sake, uni, aji and hotate) and it was very fresh. Besides sushi, they also have fried chicken wings, broiled mussels and salmon collars fried with sweet soy sauce. The collars were sooo good. They had a specialty roll that didn't look very good. It was topped with sliced strawberries. Yikes! How odd! Can't imagine dipping it in wasabi/soy sauce. For a Saturday afternoon it was pretty busy but we were seated promptly when we walked in. I would come back when I am in the area again.
(3)Jay L.
Arrived 830pm on a Saturday night tried to order miso soup they said "no soup almost 9pm " guess they close at 9, sushi was cold they weren't making any more staff was all cleaning they even tried to seperate our family of kids to sit at bar instead of booth so they wouldn't have to clean I told them we are sitting at the booths and they had to check with owner first, not going back.
(1)Robert C.
Lots of imitation crab filler, but decent value, I suppose. They DEFINITELY close at 9pm so if you rock up at 8:40pm you'll have 20 min's to stuff your face before they slap a bill in front of you and start looking at their watches. Be careful with the pricing system; pay attention to the color of the plate of sushi that comes around. You might think you see a blue plate priced at say $3, but it will be turquoise for $7..got ya. (not the actual colors, just an example of what I mean). Naa, I wouldn't hurry back.
(2)Colby R.
This has to be the worst sushi I have ever eaten! Nothing and I mean NOTHING was fresh. It tasted of old frozen fish. When I complained about our fish not be fresh and warm, that waitress just laughed it off like I didn't know what I was talking about. They were not willing to help at all. We tried a total of 6 different nigiri rolls and had to spit each and everyone out and they STILL charged us and laughed. I will not be going back here until they sink and someone else comes in who really knows what sushi is.

Was just enjoying this place yesterday. Wishing the people who came to visit this beautiful restaurant would have more tact and custom, when writing a review. Beautiful food, at a good price. Hard to beat. Good Japanese food, in Marysvillle? Yes, at Belt Sushi!
(5)John H.
Bleh.. Been a few times not impressed at all. Wife and I both got sick.. Service was slow couldn't order anything new. I do not recommend.
(1)Brad L.
Good food for a good price.y wife and I eat there as often as we can. The miso soup is the best!
(5)K R.
The woman was friendlier than some customer service you see nowadays. However, the place itself was totally half assed. Horribly dusty if you look up, all the café style lights and stuff on the ceiling. Good thing the little plates have lids. There was literally and entire office of "stuff" in the back corner, sopping filthy mop right behind my seat. All the posters and wall décor were up with packing tape, the decorations are interesting to put it lightly, and the empty bottles along the wall were the product of a lazy restaurant owner. I couldn't help but think if chef ramsay was there! lol! . Everything was bland, or tasted old. I actually felt nauseas as I digested on the way home. Anything tempura or fried, was soggy and obviously had been on there for awhile. When we received our receipt, it was this little piece of paper with colors on it, The waitress wrote next to each the number of that color we had. So we used a calculator and tallied up our own ticket, then upon paying, we somehow paid 5 bucks more than what we ate. The end receipt had no specifications for the prices of each item, it was one total, period. She probably tipped herself. And we came here for my husbands birthday. What a bummer, should have read the reviews. We won't be coming back.
(1)David H.
I thought the food was fantastic, and the wait staff was really wonderful and attentive. Prices are awesome, the store was very clean....Chloe I've been to Tokyo, and beyond... I dunno what your problem and review was about.

I luv conveyor belt sushi, it's fun, fast, and well, you get to see so many selections in a matter of minutes. Now having said that, realize I also enjoy a fine sushi bar and/or sushi made with luv and attention. So consider this when I say, minus the weird name, this place is very good. "Zushi" is served here, which means it "sushi" with a Korean flair! The bonus here is the spicy selections compared to other Kaiten, Japanese run sushi bars, which are hard to find outside of Japan! Granted I'm still looking for a "real" Kaiten sushi bar ala Japan...hence the 4 Yelp star review....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ÂcNjuqzpOoUY Here the "zushi" is served up fine, a nice mix of traditional and the wild-side. I mean spicy tuna with habanero mayo sauce and sliced apples? Or if nothing suites your fancy, ask the boss/owner/zushi-master to challenge your taste buds. We've found the additional "hot" dishes, i.e. Udon, Tonkatsu and veggie selections to be very tasty and a nice touch for our oldest is a veg-head. Starch-boy, our son, likes the tonkatsu for the crispness and my dad likes the Udon serving size compared to Blue C. My mom likes the yakisoba dishes, were you choose the protein, beef, pork, chicken or tofu. While true sushi snobs turn their noses up to this style of sushi place, I'm good with it! Priced right, great selections, to me it's worth the drive from Shoreline to dine here...yum-o!
(4)Greg E.
Food isn't very good. Service is ok for a belt serve sushi joint. Beware - only 1 soda refill and then you are charged for another drink. The one star is for the chocolate cake....which was good, but i'm sure it was actually from Costco.
(1)Crystle W.
Go to sushi land because there is NO SUSHI ON THIS BELT!!!! Prices, they are ripping you off just to have multiple variations of california rolls with different sauces on them. Seriously!!! For people who are not fond of consuming raw fish and want an Americanized version of sushi then yes this will cater to your tasting. but this place is beyond dissapointing and holds no truth to its name!
(1)A. B.
This is nowhere near a high-end sushi establishment, it is nothing more and nothing less than conveyor belt sushi. That said, I've had some good items here and some great service from the guys behind the counter. Waitresses aren't the best though, but they're not awful or mean. Just oddly oblivious. I'll go back when the craving hits for silly roundabout plate transporters.
(3)Teesha O.
What u expect....its the fast food of sushi! Geez. Its a hit n miss on the selection. But its fast food!
(3)Shaka Shli O.
Eat it. Maybe. Skip it. EAT IT. Don't mistake this place for Paradise Sushi and Grill which is in the same strip mall area as this! Paradise Sushi is NOT a great sushi place at all! Belt Sushi & Roll....Delicious! To make this review simple: Wait staff: Excellent. Sushi: Good. Seared Tuna: Amazing. Any special request sushi you want, they make it on the spot. And Price: Fair.

My husband and I have been here a number of times, but I can tell you that this is the last time. Being that it is the closest and only sushi place that I know of in our area, we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Today we went in after the lunch rush on a Sunday. We immediately ran into the same problem that other people have run into. Out of the five booths that they have, three were open and clean upon our arrival. After asking numerous times to sit in one, we were told that because it was the weekend, they were reserved for people with children. This was the first time we went without our daughter and have NEVER been offered the booth when it was available before. Their sushi was barely subpar, especially for the price, and it lacks variety. I always spend half my time there just waiting for something desirable to come around. After finishing some raspberry sake--just about their only redeemable item-- I asked for a second glass. This took forever, and I am a considerably patient person when it comes to restaurants as I understand there are other people waiting. But when you see the same waitress--of which there was only one on "such a busy Sunday"--wiping down tables for fifteen minutes when noone is coming in, you start to wonder if they are ignoring you. She didn't deliver until after we were finished eatting, at which point I didn't want it anymore. Oh, and the cake? Two minutes after we were told that we couldn't sit at the booth, she ushered three adults to a booth. No kids! They never got busy! We should have just walked out to begin with.

Great sushi and a reasonable price for the north end. The sushi is fresh and their sushi is presented in a unique and appetizing way!
(4)Jay J.
Food was decent. Not a lot of choices to choose from. 5 star for friendly service! Definitely fulfilled my craving for sushi.
(3)Anna N.
Nice Friendly Staff & Decent Sushi for the Price We were craving sushi & since we didn't much care for Sushi Land we decided to try out this new place. The inside was nice and very clean. The variety of food is very similar to Sushi Land & the taste and quality is about the same too. I guess i was hoping it'll have better quality and variety, but sadly it did not. However, i was told that if you come on the weekend they have grilled hamachi collar. Its not bad for being a conveyor sushi place and the price isn't bad either. You pay for what you get so don't expect high quality sushi. However, the staff there are very friendly. Its nice coming into a place that are very courteous and treats you well.
(3)Savannah R.
I love this place! The staff are so friendly. They always ask if we're doing ok and if we need anything. The sushi is delicious. I always try one of the specials of the day, it's nice to have options. They're consistent with the dish as well. I haven't had anything bad here and the price is even better! If you don't see it on the belt they'll makes it and everything looks fresh. I think it helps that they constantly have customers so the food doesn't sit out very long. Definitely a fave!
(4)Jason C.
Used to be good and now all it serves is generic, bland sushi. It's cheap and fast, but nothing special.
(2)Millicents F.
Because I liked the food, prices, and customer service; 5 stars. Maybe some things looked like they were sitting there a while because it wasn't that busy.. or it could have been because they needed more acidity on the avocados so they wouldn't brown. Either way, they were making more sushi as i sat and ate my lunch. You can't expect too much from sushi on a conveyor belt, but i thought they did pretty well. i was greeted as soon as i walked through the door. there were a couple of men who walked in at separate times, who I could tell were regulars to the place. The workers were very social with their customers' assuring everyone was being attended to, and still making conversation as they did their job. Definitely coming here again. Plus, there's a coldstone next door!
(5)Honey T.
We've gone here over a dozen times. If you hit the right time on the right day - it is fresh. You get what you pay for. Low prices and mediocre sushi (If you haven't had great sushi, you may not notice the difference). Not bad if that's what you're looking for. The staff is always friendly and attentive. However, after the last visit, it's was the 3rd strike. We won't be going any more. It's consistently gotten worse. We were there almost an hour - waiting for something fresh to hit the belt - nothing was removed and nothing was added. When we first arrived the belt was full - double stacked! I thought - great! It's just around 5 on a Friday, so it must have just been filled to prepare for their rush. However, it wasn't. It was old. Some items very old. The rice on some pieces were there so long the rice was dry and opaque. The avocado was brown on others. The sashimi was not cold and smelled like fish (and tasted bad). One thing I do know - if fish smells fishy - it's not fresh. When the sushi chef asked why it wasn't eaten, if there was something wrong. I told him it wasn't fresh. He insisted it wasn't bad and just needed some flavor added (in my hundreds of sushi experience in my lifetime I've never experienced this). He took the plate added all sorts of seasoning and onion. It did nothing for the fishiness. The tempura fried rolls that usually melt in your were like leather. We usually grab lots of plates and have a decent amount spent - but it wasn't even worth pulling off the belt. They have a scanner to tell them when to pull the items that have been cycling for too long - but I've never seen it in use. It never bothered me before since I could see the items being added. But it makes me wonder - how do they expect these items to remain fresh when they go round and round under lights, no way of keeping them cool (or hot for the hot items)? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm.
(2)Bryan L.
Best value for the price. This is a great place for sushi my only complaint is they can get get very busy and you'll have to wait awhile for your check... So speak up when you want your check
(4)Mama V.
One of our favorite sushi spots in the Snohomish area. Reasonable prices and good selection. They are quick to take orders and very friendly. Currently has a great sushi chef. Sushi is fresh, we would recommend! Can get busy during the evening but you can always order to go.
(5)Teresa C.
My husband and I come here often, but after my experience today it's sad to say it will my last time in here. One of the Asian ladies seating us ignored my request for help right when we arrived and just walked of. After I got up to get my self the spicy mayo she came back to me and took it away saying in a rude tone to place it on its plate. I was a bit taken back at her service but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Soon after my husband questioned one of their dishes because it tasted horrible and we did not want to pay for it. The waitress got defensive saying its supposed to be that way, so we asked for a manager. The manager was even worse. She discounted the dish but yelled at my husband and I to not get that dish again and kept repeating ok!? I told her i wasn't pleased with her service. She in return (again yelling) said for us not to come back. Appalled at her remark I asked her name. She said "no name! I don't have a name!" And then I asked for the owner and she said she was the owner. I told her she wasn't and that I would never ever recommend this place to anyone one. No business owner would ever treat a customer that way. Ever. That's no way to run a business. I will never go back. And I don't recommend it.

Oh my word. I went here for lunch thinking it would be like Blue C sushi in Seattle, but it wasn't. At all. Here's the whole terrible ordeal. Upon entering, I was told to sit wherever I wanted, so I chose one of many available seats. About two minutes after I sat, the hostess sat a woman in the seat directly next to me. Who does that? There were many available seats, so there was no reason to have someone right next to a stranger. Not liking sitting next to a stranger and have that awkwardness, I moved down a seat. A few minutes later, the hostess seats a couple RIGHT NEXT TO ME. Seriously? There are still many available seats all around. The man and woman try to move down one seat, but the hostess told them it wasn't allowed. Wasn't allowed? What is this, elementary school? As for the food, well there is a reason it's so cheap. Most of it is fried. Plus, they don't tell you on the plate what each dish is or what is in it. It was a terrible experience. Please, save yourself some trouble and go 30 minutes south to Alderwood Mall and enjoy Blue C sushi. Man, Belt Sushi and Roll is awful!!
(1)Lora L.
Pretty clean and good for a sushi belt. Different varieties of rolls, definitely hits the spot if your in the mood for some quick sushi!
(4)Victoria S.
this is the closest reasonable sushi belt joint that my husband and I go to since its very close to our house. I think the sushi plates are reasonably priced. Not the best sushi but very good enough to satisfy your sushi cravings! As of late, they have added a variety of sushi platters and added another Asian sushi maker, which I noticed a change in the taste of their sushi it's more flavorful. The staff are friendly and service with a smile, yes they may seem overwhelmed when its busy, but they try their best to make sure you're doing ok. Highly recommended for a quick sushi fix. If you want a more fancy sushi platter go to Tokyo house they're only a few miles south of Arlington
(4)Mia A.
Been there several times. Food is ok, but a bit pricier than Sushi Land. The service has been average before, but my last visit was awful. Sure... it was a couple of hours before closing on a Sunday night and understand that you don't want to waste any food, but it was my first time EVER to be told that I cannot order from the sushi chef, and instead the cold waitress fetched me the plate that obviously has been going around for quite some time. When I called her over to tell her that the spider roll was mushy and not crispy and stale, she said that I should not expect too much as I was at a "kaiten sushi" (belt type sushi). Really? Being from the land of sushi, I can tell you that any kaiten in Japan or U.S. is expected to provide fresh sushi and not necessarily expect to ONLY eat the ones on the belt. The fact that she didn't even apologize and instead defensively try to teach me a lesson was a big turn off. Never going to eat here again.
(1)Slav S.
I am not sure why people give this place bad reviews. I just ate there. Food was amazing. Sashimi was fresh. Rolls were great lots of verity. The service was great. I recommend with salmon skin roll from the smoked salmon. After Paradise Sushi closed I though I would never find another great sushi place. Either it is too expensive or the quality is bad. This place has it all. Great food and great price.
(5)Arleen E.
We have been coming to Belt Sushi since it opened a few years ago. We preferred Belt to the now closed Paradise Sushi (in a same complex) because they offered more of the traditional Sushi. However, we have noticed lately that they have a much wider variety (including shumai, mussels, chicken wings?!) that mimic what Paradise used to offer. Multiple versions of California Rolls, the same sushi with different sauces, toppings and combinations. What happened to simple, traditional sushi? Aside from the deteriorating quality, the service has suffered as well. Servers used to be so friendly and accomodating. These days, they couldn't be bothered.
(3)Brandon M.
Great Sushi... good prices, just not so nice seating.. but oh well, we still consider it a good find and will be returning again.
(5)Victoria K.
About 1pm on a Friday afternoon I went to it. I had saw it and looked at the yelp reviews and figured why not, me being a big fan of Blue C down in Alderwood Mall, thought this would be a great place. I entered and took a seat. Within a minute I was greeted by a waitress and my drink brought out to me. One thing that I don't like about the place is the service isn't really all that great. But the thing that annoyed me the most was the plates didn't have any descriptions on them. So I honestly had no idea what I was eating. The sushi was decent, but tasted more like sushi you would get at a buffet than a sushi place. The prices are great though, 11 plates and a drink for $24. Plates range from $1 to $4. The miso soup was great, and I love the croquets that they had. It's a good affordable place to go and I will probably be back..
(4)Nichole L.
Their Sushi is ... "Meh". Being the only "belt" sushi around, it's an okay choice if we're REALLY craving it. However, their lunch time is better than their dinner time. The service is better ... perhaps they're not as tired by the time dinner rolls around? Whenever we've come to have dinner, the service was very ... scarce. We had to literally wave down our waitress just to get refills on our drink. And our check. I appreciate they want you to have your time for dinner, but please check up on us once in a while! Also, while they have high chairs ... I don't recommend bringing toddlers to their restaurant. They came over and took away one of their plastic protectors from my daughter once. I understand they might be "expensive" and they don't want them to break ... but rather than ask me to remove it from my daughter, they played "parent" and just took it out of my kids hand. Needless to say, my friends and I just sat their with our jaws open for a good minute ... trying to process if that really just happened. (More of the fact that they just took it out of my daughter's hand without asking me to do it, or discussing it with me first). Anyway, I don't give it 3 only because of my service experiences. Truth be told though - we travel to Everett if we really want Sushi anymore ... but if we're in a pinch and are truly craving it, we'll go to Belt.
(2)Art P.
Call me snobby, but i've been to Japan and this ain't Japanese food. However, the food was OK. 90% of food on the menu was cold fried sushi. There's a similar belt place next door across the street. But if you're hungry for sushi and you're in the country like Arlington, this is the place to go.
(3)Kelli E.
Let me start by saying, I do not take my children to eat sushi, they won't eat it and I won't have a good time, so this has been exclusively a date night place for my husband and I. This is the kind of sushi place my husband tells me you find all over Japan, they have a center prep area and "moving sidewalk" for food that the food comes around on. You pick your food off the belt (which sits in front of you as you face the prep area), pricing is denoted by the color of the plate that the food is on and the "server" just adds up the plates in front of you when you are done. The first time we went I would have gladly given the place five stars. We really enjoyed ourselves, it wasn't super busy, the servers were attentive (as attentive as you have to be at a "belt" sushi type of place) and the food was excellent. I think the pricing is good (actually a lot less than we generally spend on a sushi night out). The second time we went the place was rather busy and the belt was about 80% sad desserts. I don't go out for sushi to eat grocery store cupcakes or cheesecake and I don't want watermelon or orange segments, I WANT SUSHI! There were two chefs working and they were just unable to keep good selections on the belt. I was disappointed in the selection and the slowness of the chefs, but what we had was good and fresh. I will return and would suggest Belt Sushi and Roll to friends BUT I would suggest you check on how busy the place is when you first walk in and make a decision about staying based on that. We won't stay when they are super busy again, but will gladly return when they are not too busy.
(4)Ulysses L.
For the price and quality it is good. If you are a sushi snob or concourse steer clear. This place is exactly what it looks like, mediocre sushi served on a belt. Staff is super friendly and don't worry it is sanitary, been here lots of times and never got sick! Which is better than a lot of other sushi joints. Worth checking out if you are looking for a quick snack.
(3)Deb G.
Passing through town and love kaiten sushi joints, so thought i'd try it. Smallest pieces of nigiri I've ever seen. Tiny portions for the prices. Sushi chefs act like you are putting them out if you ask for something, as they stand around yawning and stretching. Seared salmon was so tiny you couldn't see the fish under the giant glob of mayo on top--yuck. I asked for one without mayo, which was met with a huge, disgusted sigh by the older chef. Didn't even leave satisfied for the $$ I spent. I wouldn't bother coming back here---Definitely not even worth a return try. There's a sign right inside the door that says due to the recent high cost of food the prices may increase without notice! Ha! I guess they can't make the fish slices any tinier, so they want to raise the prices. It's already a bit of a rip off here, but at that point, they may as well just grab your $ and boot you out the door, since it will be outright robbery at that point! If you are hungry, go someplace else for a better deal and more normal portions.
(1)April B.
TERRRIBLE!!!!! very disappointed - TWICE. So I ordered a spider roll, because I was craving avocado. The menu's picture and ingredients both listed avocado...once I got my sushi, it was just crab meat and rice, and I was like... "oh? I wanted advocado" and what seemed like back and forth arguing with the server, she kept saying, sorry that's an old menu...and then finally after going back and forth, I was like "can you please ask the server, if he wouldnt mind putting a few pieces on my plate" she looked so reluctant, and came back with the smallest SLIVER. And then, I tried their sesame bean paste rolls, which are my favorite...ONE, it wasn't even warm (which I didnt mind because it was on the conveyer belt, and I cant complain) but THEN it was soooooooo HARD, I felt like I was eating a ROCK. and I didnt complain, and ended up paying for it, even though I didnt really touch it...because I didnt want to be "that customer" who complains on everything. BUT SERIOUSLY, I was sourly DISAPPOINTED. :(
(1)Dorothy G.
Like another reviewer said, everything is basically a slight variation of a California roll. When I selected a plate off the belt and opened it to find it smelled like rotting imitation crab meat, I refused to pay for it and was met with much grief from the waitress. She told me it was supposed to smell that way... Their food wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. The stinky roll that I refused to pay for had clearly been sitting out way too long, so maybe they are better when they are busier, but I don't think we will be returning. One more thing- their kitchen staff & sushi chefs were all speaking Spanish. As a San Diego native it was music to my ears but definitely an odd site at a sushi restaurant!
(1)Erin U.
I came here a couple of weeks ago on a Tuesday night with a friend. I was really underwhelmed. The prices were awesome, but you get what you pay for. Nothing I ate seemed fresh, a lot of the stuff was really dry, and there was hardly any variety. There was a LOT of the same stuff going around, and hardly anything in the way of nigiri. I think the only nigiri I saw was shrimp and something my friend grabbed, possibly surf clam. I was pleased by the friendliness of the main sushi chef dude that was there. He was interacting with my baby and was making conversation with my friend. Good prices, nice people, poor sushi.
(2)Jasmine C.
My husband and my favorite place for sushi. He doesn't eat the real stuff, so there is a lot for him to choose from. The entire staff greets you when you walk through the door which is my favorite part of the visit, and the prices are way better than most belt sushi joints I have tried.

Incredibly rude staff and mediocre food at best. First we arrive at 1:30pm on a weekday and are told to wait even though there are tons of open spots. A party of 6 just left and the woman spent literally 9 minutes cleaning their places where they sat at the bar (stool area) while we stood there waiting. After she finishes, she comes over and we ask for one of the 5 booths they have. 3 of which are empty. She tells us sorry those are for 3 or more people only. I look at her and say excuse me but the two booths in use currently each have two people in the booth! She says no no booths are for 3 or more only. I say again but there are two people in both of those booths... she then says well we let them sit there because when they came in there was no clean place at the bar. So I said ... well you made us wait almost 10 minutes while you cleaned up those spots why didn't we get offered a booth? She says sorry sorry 3 or more only. So I looked at her and the owner and said - So you are really going to let me walk out this door rather than let us sit at a booth during off hours on a weekday? She says - Sorry. Didn't eat there this day but have eaten there in the past and the food is not "bad" but it's mediocre at best, it just happened to be convenient because we were shopping. Would not suggest this restaurant to ANYONE. They don't deserve your money.

Pros: The restaurant was clean, the bathroom had soap, the fruit was fresh. Cons: The food that was supposed to be hot was cold, the service was horrible, it took forever to get water refilled. The reason why we went here was because Paradise Sushi and Grill went out of business and we were really craving sushi. We had never tried this place so we figured we would give it a try. We were very disappointed and we will not be returning.

A nice little place to get some sushi at a reasonable price up North of Seattle. The variety is better some times than others, but the quality is always good. The staff, especially the owners, are extremely pleasant. After taking my 6 year old daughter there several times, one of the chefs began making a big deal out of her when we showed up...she loved the attention. It was a great place to introduce her to sushi.

I see a lot of mixed reviews here. I went the day after Memorial Day right when they opened so I wasn't expecting much. However, there were at least 15 or so different things on the belt to choose from. I didn't even get to sample everything I wanted to try because I was full. The food was fresh and tasty. We paid 17 bucks for two people and left the place stuffed. It is a fun way to eat and maybe it isn't at par with Japan or whatever but this is America and they cater to Americans... seems like a logical way to have a thriving business. Anyways, I will be back for round two soon. It was a great food eating experience.

My hubby took me here for lunch because he know's I love sushi. We took our 4 month old baby. I am usually not so into the melt style sushi, but it gives my hubby a chance to see what he's getting into. I thought it was pretty decent, but those little plates can get pricey. Great watermelon though, and I think the guys will make you whatever you want if you don't see anything you're interested in. Not bad for Marysville, but for the price I would rather drive to Everett for all you can eat.

Get more for your money else where. I would not recommend this place for 'Take Out' ever! I had ordered 2 chicken Teriyaki, w rice, stir fry vegetables, and a shrimp tempura roll. However, after they brought our food out the food portions are incredible small. The tempura roll was '4 pieces' And I wasn't brought stir fry vegetables. When I told the lady she said 'Oh, that'll be $1' My response was I already ordered and paid for them! She then replies w 'Sorry' She didn't do anything about the situation! Never again, I refuse to go there or refer my friends there! 1st experience, and by far the WORST!

As others have said, great value and lots of variety. Yum yum!

Good sushi and the staff is friendly. My only negative was the lack of variety but it could have been the night I went during the evening on a Tues. I will definitely go again since my kids are a huge fan of sushi. :)

This kaiten sushi place just opened a few months ago in the Best Buy strip mall off I-5, exit 206. It's owned and run by the same Korean folks who have Sushi Yama in Bellevue. So...same owner faces (who all recognized me from Sushi Yama...yay , I'm a regular), but that's about where the resemblance ends. Lots of mall parking (BIG plus), tastefully decorated (no plate maps on the wall), a quiet TV to look at if you get bored, and best of all, the sushi quality at Belt is as good or better than Sushi Yama was a few years ago. Some familiar rolls from Sushi Yama, like the strawberry California and the apple rolls, but done better, I think. Much more variety, real tentacle-y calamari (not the frozen-from-bag overchewy breaded things), and new stuff like crab legs and many, many things I had no name for much less had ever seen. Green tea is real leaf-and-twig stuff that you have to strain through your front teeth; I kind of like that. Rolls were wrapped tightly and it was all good--I don't think I tried anything I didn't like. The plate colors are different, and I didn't note the pricing. Sinae said their prices had gone down from Sushi Yama, but I know I paid a lot more for my usual plate stack. So take that however you want to. Maybe I just pigged out this time ;-). Seating capacity is about the same or a bit more than Sushi Yama; I think there were three booths and the rest were counter. Oh and get this--double conveyor belt! So if nothing good is going by on the outer belt, you can reach over to the inner one. This place is definitely worth the trek north from Seattle. I live in Marysville now, though, so I'm very glad to see the Sushi Yama family up here.

We have been to Belt Sushi and Roll four times now and continue to be impressed. The prices are very reasonable for sushi (price being the big reason I don't just subsist on it), the selection every time we have gone has been spectacular, and the waitstaff and cooks are very friendly. My wife has never liked sushi, but by being able to see the food in advance, ask questions of the cook, and share what she doesn't like with me, she has developed quite a taste for sushi because of this restaurant. The only reason that I have left off a star is that there is no identification of what you are about to eat....

wow... good conveyor belt sushi in the stick?!?!?!?! I was surprised but their rolls were on the innovative side versus the standard stuff you see everywhere else. If you're near the outlets, this is a good place to go for sushi if you got the craving.

A lot of sushi options. Love the mussels and all their spicy sushi. Everything is great, even my kids love it.

Usually these places are not good, this one is the exception where most everything is yummy and non offensive to most non sushi people. They great you every time and service is really really fast 10-15 min usually.

I love sushi, this place isn't THE best sushi but its way better than the stuff you could get at a grocery store. I particularly like to go near opening/lunch time, that's when everything is at its freshest. Its easy to get a place to eat and you don't have to wait just pick something out from the belt and go at it. If you were to go at any other time, the stuff that suppose to be hot is cold. You could always ask them to make fresh ones but the customer service is another story. Its usually one lady that runs the seating of the customers, taking orders, and then handling cashiers; I understand that can be a little hectic but that's what part time high school students are for (cheap labor). It was very hard to even try to order something, you usually have to try to catch her attention as she just happens to passes by. She never asks how our meals is going or if we need more water. I usually have to do that embarrassing raise my hand to grab your attention like I was back in school. And once you're done eating, the only way to get their attention is to stand awkwardly by your seat waiting for them to count your plates. Besides the obviously crappy customer service, I go there more for the quick bite to eat, that is pretty good and the cost of how cheap it is.

Fun place to eat. Clean and well lit, all the better to see all the lovely plastes of sushi as they roll by. The sushi is decent and they have ramune!

We have been to this particular location a few times now. I have no rave reviews to share about the sushi itself, it's just OK. However I was compelled to write a review after the horrible service we received last Friday night. It was an hour and half before closing. We asked for a booth and were told no. We said there are three empty booths surely we could sit at one. We were answered with a stern NO! I was a little shocked and decided it was not worth the fuss. So we sat at the belt and there were three random couples spaced around the belt. The next people that came in the same rude older host/waitress sat them directly next to us when there was an entire side empty. To make this shocking experience short. We asked for a special roll that was not on the belt and were told no they close in an hour and we never did get a refill of our beverage even when we asked. Our direct waitress was not rude like the older lady that seated us but certainly did not want to provide any services. We travel and do dine out frequently and as custom its first come first serve, as long as the business is still open they will still serve you, and usually the waitress is there to serve you for that is how she earns her tips. No tip that night...

This is by far my favorite sushi spot. I can eat all the sushi I want for $10-$12, and it's all very tasty. The staff is quite friendly from the moment you walk in.

Friendly wait staff, and during busy times good variety. At slower times of day the quality can vary, but you can order off the menu in addition to the belt selection and if they don't have what you want on the belt they'll make it for you quickly. Overall great place to stop for a decent meal.

Great place for sushi. The belt items are always fresh and they have good variety. The staff is always very friendly and informative.
