OMG! The size of the food is huge... My niece took us there on our trip to Seattle last week. The owner is very nice. Great food! We had leftover for another day. Thanks for the delicious food...

The service was great. I ordered a take out House Pizza. The wait time was not too long. Reason for 2 stars. SO much grease in the crust. It gave my boyfriend and I stomach aches. I'm not sure if this is just the way of New York style pizza? Either way, not for us. The toppings were good however.

Recently dined here with friends. My hubs & I are kinda picky with our pizza. We ordered a medium pizza with Italian Sausage, Mushrooms & Black Olives. I gotta say, the pizza was delicious! The service was very friendly. Will definitely be back again.....& again!

By far my favorite place. We eat there about twice a week. Customer service is superb along with the quality of food. So delicious!

you took the meatball sandwich off the menu!!!!????? WTF!!! that's one of your best meals!!! bring it back, I don't care what the cook says!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're so upset over what happened last week... almost six other cars came into the parking lot disappointed and upset, but it wasn't Astoria's fault because the pizza oven went down. We were only in the lot for a two minutes, but I'm sure a lot more sad customers came through. We're going to try again tonight, because there aren't any other pizza joints on par. I'll make sure to keep everyone update. If they need help getting the oven up and running, i'm down to donate towards a new one ASAP! lol.

I love this place! My family has eaten here for about 12 years. My favorite dish to get at Astoria is neither pizza nor pasta. It's the prime rib dip. The prime rib is tender and the bread has the right amount of "crusty" for dipping. The pizza is great too. The Greek is a lovely combination of gyro meat, spinach, tomato, and feta cheese. Astoria also provides a great combo of personal pizza, salad, and drink for $8.95. Who can beat that deal? Also, the owner/operator, Alex, is the nicest guy you could ever meet. Don't forget to grab a Dum Dum sucker on your way out.

  • Perry H.

Pretty solid pizza and ok pasta dishes. We had friendly service but the restaurant isn't the nicest in terms of seating and atmosphere. It is a heavy on the grease kind of pizza place, so if that's not your thing....

After several attempts going here and it was closed. Weird hours. 2 on? Closed Mondays? I finally hit the right time. Well worth it. Lunch special. Personal pan pizza and salad. Delishes. Great service.

Restraunt had stains on ceiling and no air conditioning. No wait staff and food is underwhelming. Had vegetarian pizza, sauce tasted like it came from can. Just threw cold sliced tomatoe on top. First and last time i go there.

  • Jude H.

Love this place! Great service and great food! Wonderful family place and the pizza can't be beat. I do have to disagree with the person who said the service misses the mark if you're not a regular. Untrue. The owner cares deeply about his customers regulars or not.

  • Gregory H.

First time customer today. Great Pizza. Reminds me of east coast pizza vibe. Great crust and lots of toppings on their house pizza. The restaurant smells great too. Will be back.

A few days ago my fiance and I were scouring the area for food, I remembered that I'd always wanted to see if this place had good food. And yes, yes it did. We walked and and were greeted with friendly service, from I believe his name was Alex. And were told about the specials and handed a menu. I chose a small pepperoni pizza, fiance chose a medium house special. And we got an order of garlic bread. We were ordering Togo and while waiting it seemed that Alex knew everyone by name and had a very positive attitude and friendship with his customers. We can't wait to go back because it was some of the best pizza we've had in awhile!

  • Keven C.

Good pizza, not great pizza. Very healthy portions at a solid price, they are better them any of the chains, jus not by a whole lot. Pick it above any dominos/Pizza Hut/papa whatever, better pie at the same price. Just don't expect to be blown out of the water. Simple family owned that has family in the kitchen and behind the register, so I can't tell you service is 100% but it's pretty endearing and everyone is polite. Friendly atmosphere, exactly what you would expect from a family pizza shop, no frills, plastic menus and smiley faces. Great people and a great joint!

    (3)
  • J G.

Five star pizza, but two star service. I've observed the atmosphere and if you're a "regular", you get seated promptly, order placed, and food on the table quickly. If they don't know you, you wait. Not the way I'd run a business, but their pizza is good enough for at least take out. We're not regulars, though, so I'm sure they couldn't care less about my review. :P

  • Denny S.

We order pizza from here almost weekly. The owner and staff are courteous, service is prompt, and the food is fantastic (Italian food with a Greek twist!). Prices are also beyond reasonable.

    (5)
  • Joe H.

Family owned...some of the best pizza you will eat. Baked spaghetti is NOT on the menu, however just ask and they will very gladly make it for you....and oh yeah. ...its awesome...come hungry...

  • Delores F.

Cheap, good eats. We went here based on a recommendation from a friend. Nice staff, great food, and very good prices. The only part that stinks is its hidden out of plain view of people driving on Hwy 99. They should relocate to a more public location!

I had to pick 2 stars because 3 stars says A-OK and they were not. The food is fine, but the customer service leaves much to be desired. Tonight (a Saturday) I called twice at 7:30 pm and no one answered, so I decided to drive up there since they don't deliver anyway. We got there at 8pm, the sign on the door said they close at 9:30pm, and there were workers and people inside (watching the Seahawks game?) but a closed sign in the window, and they ignored us at the door. There had been a previous Saturday night when we got there 10 minutes before closing time and they also would not make us a pizza because they said the ovens were already off. Because of these two experiences, I will not return to Astoria Pizza in Lynnwood, I can't imagine why a business would want to treat their customers like this.

My family has been coming here for years. The food is very good. This last time we came in we noticed that they to not have a wait staff any longer. We had to order from the counter which we do not care to do. It's very uncomfortable, and completely unfriendly to do this. We loved the wait staff and service they used to offer. We will miss coming here

  • Jimmy C.

We come here for the PIZZA. 3 Times... and each time the pizza is the winner. Overloaded with toppings... if your pizza has Olives... ask for Light on the Black Olives... they love to add them on there. But if you love'em... then you are good to go. We've had the House Pizza, meat Lovers and one more... all great. Even better the next day when its cold. Love it. instagram.com/p/kfBTRUIx… The pasta has been just Ok. It doesnt blow you away. But neither did the Bucca De Bepo Pasta.. they are the same, but Bucca has more variety ofcourse... add a little parmessan and salt and its good. Not Great.. just good. For kids.. its the best choice. They love spaghetti. Add the extra meatball on the large plate... two is just not enough. Place is old... sure... its family owned and you come here for the food... not the chairs nor the booths. Service is not always consistent but they get to you and keep you happy and moving along. Salads... the house salad again needs a little magic..... more tomatoes please. 2 little cherry tomatoes will not cut it. How about a cucumber. Oh yeah... it has black olives alright. Nobody mentions it... they've got some Flat SCreens up on some walls... They always have some games on. Which is a good PLUS. Pizza... 4 Star.... all else... 3 STAR. I'll be back for pizza.

Just ate a wonderful lunch for a great price. The pizza is crusty the cheese is stretchy and melty and you get a lot of choices for toppings. Bonus: It smells divine!

    (5)
  • Heather B.

Love this place! Delicious pizza and they're very generous with the toppings (and even sides, like ranch).

    (4)
  • Cassie N.

We picked up a pizza here for dinner and let me tell ya it was greasy... It was soaking through the box. We ordered the house special so maybe there was too many toppings and it made the bottom crust all soggy. The House Special had: mushrooms, olives, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, salami, green bell pepper and sausage. It was crazy. The pizza itself had pretty good flavor and good ingredients and I could tell that the crust would've been delicious if it wasn't soggy. They have pretty good prices and specials here as well. I do want to give it another go but maybe less toppings next time.

Bummer, busy Friday night. Get there, get a seat. Three other tables are set down after us. We knew exactly what we wanted. After all three other tables had there orders taken and she again goes back to the kitchen, we give up and leave. Food is great, too bad we didn't get any. Service sucked.

Great food, service, and prices. I love the options provided and the calm atmosphere. Great place to have a large group event.

First off the service was good. Nice friendly staff. We ordered the garlic bread sticks.. the were store bought from costco (i have the same ones in my freezer) coated in butter and some garlic.. by itself that isnt that bad. But these were 3.50 for 2. Thats right 3.50 for 2 bread sticks about the same price to buy a bag of 20 at costco.. The pizza, some may like it but it was not for us. To many topping, to little flavor

My fiancé and I chose to stop by here and get pizza after reading some of the reviews. Best decision we have made in some time. The pizza was delicious, and the service was amazing. Our severs name was Ben and he was friendly, polite, and completely on top of taking care of us. We are really impressed and will definitely be coming back.

That was a great pie at an excellent price! Watching the Saturday night ball games and needed dinner. Called Astoria's and ordered a large #22 (spicy pepperoni) Great price and a tasty dinner! Leftovers for Sunday football!

This is my go to pizza. I'm not much of a pizza fan..but if I'm craving for some this is the place for me. It's a family owned business. Very friendly and fast service. I always ordered the garlic chicken alfredo pizza and the chicken wings. Wings are a bit expensive but it's worth the money.

Fun environment! Interesting set up, more of a family friendly style. Wouldn't go here unless in a group or craving for well priced pizza and salad :)

If you want a great pizza, than you need to go Astoria! It is the best pizza around hands down, and Alex and his team give great customer service. I haven't ordered anything other than pizza and salad with Italian dressing, which is delicious. If you get an order to go, get it home and out of the box ASAP, because it tends to get soggy really fast. Not sure why, cause it's nice and crispy when you dine in. My only complaint, would be that their not open on Sunday and Monday, so you can't get a pizza for Sunday or Monday Football! They also don't deliver, which would be fantastic! Thanks guys!

This small, unassuming store has one of the better all around deals in the area. Let me explain. We were in a group of 5, and had a decent meal for $20! Granted, all we ordered were pizzas, but it filled up all five of us- college age kids. The food quality here is very good- the pizzas were simply delicious. The $10 Large two topping seems even more of a bargain after eating it. The wait time was reasonable, and the pizzas piping hot! The chicken on our BBQ chicken pizza was perfect (reasonable moist; not too dry and not too mushy), and the sausage/pepperoni on our meat special we had was satisfyingly greasy (as it should be!!!) The service was good as well; they made sure our drinks were full, and them checking up on us every now and then. Factoring in the value, service, and quality of the food, Astoria's is hard to beat.

Hands down my favorite Italian restaurant in The Edmonds area. Family owned for fifteen years and the people here are amazing.

  • David P.

Horrible.. It is the worst pizza & pasta restaurant I have ever been in my life. Dinner salad is not fresh at all. It is very dry. Pizza is very salty. Not enough tomato sauce on pizza for sure. Chicken Penne is edible, but vegetable fettuccine Alfredo pasta is too blend. It doesn't have any favor at all... The place seems ghetto as well. Old chairs and couches. If you look up and check out the ceilings, you can tell this place is not clean at all. None of our family finished their foods, and we left more than half of our foods on the table and just left there.

  • Lauren P.

We LOVE Astoria Pizza and Pasta. We have been coming here for 13 yrs or more. Still delicious are EVER! The pizza has very generous toppings and lots of cheese. 10 bucks for a Large two topping. Yes... you can get a large "any topping " pizza at Pizza Hut or Papa Johns...but the quality is NOT near theirs! The recently just repainted the place and also got 2 flat screen TV's. Their beer on tap is great and the kids will LOVE the Thomas Kemper root beer on draft too. The owner , and his wife, know us by our first name. They are very nice and sweet. Alex even remembers what my husbands favorite beer is! This place is a GEM in the North. Bring all your family and friends for a low-key , delicious and good priced food! They are the best!

When I was coming to my 100th review, i wanted to pick someplace special, this spot is pretty damn special. I have been eating here for 13 years. 13 long years, now it takes a very special place to keep my attention for 13 years. I've always found the number 13 intriguing... so are you folks tired of the 13 yet? But I digress.. Astoria Pizza & Pasta is a neighborhood Mom n Pop Italian joint nestled in this little strip mall surrounded by Korean owned businesses. It feels almost out of place being the only business without Korean letters in their sign, but don't let the tucked away hidden nature of this spot deter you. The food here is absolutely on point. Over the years they never skimped on the ingredients or toppings. Everything from the pizzas to the sandwiches are generous. Pilled high with quality meats and overflowing with cheese, it's not exactly the place for those who are looking to watch their girlish figures. The decor is quaint and inviting. Lots of space and always clean. The service is served up with a smile and the owner Alex is always a delight to shoot the shit with. This family owned joint makes you feel like you're family. No matter how many months (and at some points years) in between my visits, Alex always remembers me. I have never felt unwelcome, it's the little things like offering me a soda while I wait for to-go items, or remembering I love to dip my cheese bread in meat sauce as opposed to marinara. I love this joint, I've been eating here for 13 years and I hope to keep eating here for many more years. Pure excellence in every bite... check this spot out... cheers.

Great food. We had specialty large pizza and chicken Alfredo. However, it is bit pricy for pizza. $20 for large pizza.

We were looking for a different pizza place, unimpressed by the chains, a friend recommended Astoria. Oh em gee ! Awesome. When you get right down to it, all pizza joints basically use the same cheese and toppings; it's the crust and sauce that sets a place apart. Their crust is great....not too thick or thin and tender. The sauce is neither too spicy or bland. Perfect combination! Had a nice dinner salad with fresh iceberg (no bagged crap), lots of sliced olives, tomatoes, and a handful of shredded pizza cheese. Oh yeah, they make their own dressing...the bleu cheese was awesome. And the cheese bread?? Drool. Just order it. 5 stars man! If decor matters you might be disappointed but you'd be stupid to pass up Astoria based upon that. "It's all good"

Hubby wanted carbs...Italian it is. ;) Hopped onto Yelp because, well, everywhere we go is getting boring. Saw this little joint was within walking distance yet we didn't even know of it's exisitence. Got there right before the rush (thank GOD) and ordered quickly. Hubby and middle child got a pizza, I the spaghetti with butter and myzthra cheese with meatballs, eldest the meatball ravioli. Pizza - nom nom nom nom. How could we have such good pizza close by and not know of it? Perhaps the no delivery is why. Well good thing it's close, I foresee lots of take out. The pastas however - eh. They came with salad which, unfortunately, is like most "Italian"/pizza joints. Iceburg lettuce topped with olives and mozzarella...tada...salad. Um no. I ordered caesar. You can't give me that and caesar dressing, it just doesn't quite work that way. Dressing lovers rejoice, because while they put the dressing on the side, it comes in a vat. I seriously used only 1/5 of what was given to me, and I ate the whole thing. I'm talking A LOT of dressing. The table bread was delish. VERY similar to that served at Romano's Macaroni Grill - sans the yummy olive oil for dipping. Here you get butter...which doesn't fit the rosemary bread as well, but it works. My pasta and my daughters ravioli were mediocre. The meatballs were good, provided they were covered in sauce and cheese (little dry without) but the pastas were bland, as was the marinara sauce on the raviolis. Thankfully my spaghetti with butter and myzthra wasn't drowning in butter like others give it to me *cough*Amante*cough* but the cheese was lacking. In the end, it's a-ok. The customer service was good - really friendly staff. I think we'll be ordering many pizzas here in the future, but I think we'll pass on the pastas. No biggie, we like pizza better anyway. ;)

Yum, yum, yum! This pizza is so good!!!! Nice and filling, crust is always crispy, and the sauce is just delicious. YOU MUST try this place.

  • Shawna R.

These guys have the best spicy pepperoni pizza in the area! We found them when we moved to the Lynnwood area 4 months ago. Now they have become a staple. The crust is soft and chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Perfect. The sauce is a little bit tangy and sweet and cheese is stringy and delicious. The staff here is always very nice whether we dine in or order out. I've only had their pasta once which is enormous and not as good as the pizza but still pretty good. Don't let the weird location fool you! This place is a gem.

  • Rick S.

This is my new favorite pizza place. I recently ordered a large house special and a chicken salad. The price was very reasonable for the large portions. Both meals tasted very good. I like that the salad is put into separate containers, so nothing is mushy when you are ready to eat. The pizza has a very unique taste. Awesome pizza and friendly service.

My absolute favorite Italian restaurant! The owner, Alex, is so personable and knows us by name here. He also knows our order by heart and asks if we'd like our usual. It's hard to find service like this anymore. Sure, it's not big and fancy, but it's part of what I like about this place. I view it as somewhat of a hidden gem of Lynnwood. Their food is not only delicious, but it's about 3 meals in one, for the price of only one as well. Their menu is a wide array of pastas, sandwiches, and pizzas. I love that they offer tortellini. Their blush sauce is to die for - it's their fettucini and tomato sauce combined. Try it if you ever go!

    (5)
  • Travis A.

Good service and great pizza. Plus they have Henry's root beer on draft! The pizza is a thicker crust like pizza hut. The large fed four of us easily and there was no shortage of toppings. We'll be back here again.

  • Lorelei W.

We just tried their pasta and for the price the dinner was exactly what we wanted. Full salads, breadsticks, rich flavor, and large pasta dishes. They were quick and curtious. We finally found a pasta place close to home!

First time visiting went with a friend who is a regular. Great food and service at an unbelievable value. Large 2 topping $10 and it is made with great ingredients. Fresh and crisp salad and great big heaping pasta dishes. Ask for the Spicy Pepperoni. Fabulous!

  • Josh W.

Excellent! The food is super great. Its a small strip mall kinda place (expectations set low), but it blows away food I've had in high-end, super-high-overhead, super-expensive restaurants in super elite towns. Go Astoria! Prices? Very decent. Staff: The best they come. Attentive, friendly, helpful. He gave me the impression that he likes his job and is thankful to have one. This makes all the difference in an employee. Surroundings: Clean. Small. More like a burger place then an Italian restaurant. This is a good thing, you can relax! I wouldn't have come here if it wasn't for my mother who swore by the place. I finally went, and was only mad at myself for not going sooner. Yelpers, I can recommend this one. Try it out, you should be impressed. If your not, well you just can't be pleased can you. :D

    (4)
  • Hola A.

Still delicious as ever! I, of course, stuck with my usual (chicken tortellini blush) which they still accommodate when it's not on the menu or special of the day. Service is still consistently great and really, one of the best bang for your buck pizza & pasta joints on the north end. They provide complimentary breadsticks (tasty!) and salad, plus the portion size of the pasta is more than filling. I can never finish it and always take it to go. Great place to hit up when you are in the mood for pizza and pasta. Did I mention that they're reasonably priced?? Go already!

  • Shanon B.

This is one of my most favorite places to go when I'm craving good pizza and Manny's Pale Ale. Their ranch dressing (and I am not normally a ranch dressing kind of gal) is to die for! Prices are superb and it's a relaxed atmosphere with great staff.

Astoria pizza-AWESOME-BEST ITALIAN EVER! Greeted immediately, as you walk-in! Best pizza we have ever had! Pasta really good! Salad AWESOME! Our daughter never wants to eat salad and she didn't want to STOP! Drinks were never empty always refilled! We definitely will be back and would recommend to everybody to visit Astoria pizza you won't regret it! Customer service and making people feel like home is definitely there #1 priority!

I always drove by this place debating if it was owned by a Greek since it's called "Astoria.".... For all those who don't know, Astoria is a neighborhood in Queens, NYC where all the Greeks live....and yes, the joint is owned by a Greek. FINALLY, I ate here on a Friday night a few weeks ago with my wife. I thought the place was good. I had a special which was a personal smal pizza and a salad. Even though the pizza looked small, it tasted great and it filled me up. The service was friendly. I did notice that the place was busy with customers coming in and out for pick-ups...Translation- The place is good.

This is THE best pizza! It is absolute perfection! The crust is airy and crispy, the sauce is slightly sweet and yummy. The toppings are generous and tasty. We will be back! I want to try the pasta next time!

  • Inkoo L.

Great pizza/pasta place! Great taste! great price! My friend recommended this place to me. Pizza was great but their pasta was even better. I had Hawaiian ham/sausage pizza, jalapeno/mushroom pizza, and chicken Alfredo. The quantity was great. It was hard to believe a small local pizza/pasta restaurant had better pasta than some of the well known pasta restaurants I've been to. They have some great specials. Two topping large pizza for under $10. BBQ ribs and chicken Parmesan for $13. Try their side salad with honey mustard dressing. They were excellent! The service was great, and the price was great. I'll be coming back to this place for sure.

  • Tobyn F.

My family has been eating here for years. They serve great pizza and pasta at good prices. The service is always excellent. I would order any of the pastas just to get the salad and bread. I only have one complaint with the place. Although we have seen the restaurant interior improve over the years, the men's restroom looks like something you would expect to find at a gas station, 500 miles from nowhere. It needed to be remodeled years ago due to abused and worn out walls and a really nasty floor. I'll keep going back but the place would have a whole different appeal if the restrooms matched the cleanliness of the rest of the place.

    (4)
  • John O.

They would get 1 star, but: 1. The atmosphere is OK. 2. They sell Thomas Kemper Root Beer. 3. The service was good. My Ravioli tasted like Chef Boy'ardee. The meatballs were quite good, however-- and I'm not typically a meatball fan. Overall, I give Astoria a "meh." Like most Italian places in Snohomish County, it's only open afternoons and evenings.

    (2)
  • Erin W.

Tony & Alex, you guys are the best! you have to try their fettuccine Alfredo with chicken since that's the best among all the menu!

  • Leslie A.

I had the baked combo special tonight and it was excellent. Look forward to trying their other dishes. It's the only restaurant I've been in the has magazines in an area for people to wait for their take out orders. I thought thay was a nice touch.

  • Zack L.

One word...Awesome. Customer service is outstanding. I haven't been to Astoria in about a year, and I never go there that often, but they instantly recognized me last Friday! Oh yeah, and the pizza is out of this world! Less than $10 for a large 2 topping pie...you can't beat it. My favorite pizza place. Don't pay attention to the lower reviews, those folks probably whine about everything :) Go order a pie and try them out for yourself...you wont be sorry.

This is a great place to have some inexpensive eat in pizza. They have an under $10 7" pizza, salad and soda special that keeps my wife and I returning again and again. The pizza crust is not too bready and at the same time not too thin. The cheese is nice and greasy and there is plenty to support the toppings. The sauce is nice and full without being too thick or full of any particular spice. We love the generously sized house salad which is somewhere between greek and american. It consists of iceberg lettuce, black olives, mozz cheese, cherry tomatoes, and cherry peppers on the side. If they offered delivery, we would probably order this pizza for at home movie nights.

  • Jim E.

ABSOLUTELY the best food value for the money! The quality is top notch, service could not be friendlier or more family friendly, and the place is squeaky clean, and comfortable. The servings are VERY ample and the board always has great specials. Alex and Mila (the owners) make you feel like family and usually wait on you themselves. It is Italian with a Greek flair - the best the Mediterranean has to offer. Don't miss the dinner salads - a meal in themself - the freshest crisp (not bagged) iceberg lettuce covered with a delicious cheese mix, sliced black olives. grape tomatoes, and cherry peppers on request with the best homemade dressings I have ever had. LOVE the 1000 Island and Honey Mustard. Pizzas are covered with a thick layer of top quality blended cheeses and you can get Large 2-Topping Pizzas for the incredible price of $10.05. Want to try out the place? The specials board has a perpetual amazing deal - a 7" 2-Toppung pizza, salad (like I just described), and soft drink (bottomless) for $8.95. I don't know of a better, healthier dinner deal anywhere, and your whole family will love it, young and old. The only bad thing I could say is it is 10+ miles from our house, but still well worth the trip every week or two. If I was a wealthy man I would try to buy in and franchise it, but it would be hard to find owners that put their hearts into it like Alex & Mila. I even told my family I want to go there for my Birthday this Friday. I have heard great things about their ribs.

Astoria is my favorite local pizzeria here in Lynnwood. The interior is completely unassuming. It's not the kind of place you visit for the ambiance, but of course it doesn't pretend to be. It's neatly laid out, very functional, neat and clean. The pizza is consistently very good. They don't skimp on the toppings (unlike some places I could mention) and their sauce is nicely seasoned; no one herb predominates and they seem to understand the proper use of garlic (i.e., they don't coldcock your tastebuds with it). The service is attentive and friendly, they have a really good dinner special, and best of all it's not another damn chain restaurant. Four stars, easy.

First time checking this place out and the whole family liked it. The pizza was great and very filling. We had plenty to take home. The wings were great too! Great casual place for the whole family.

This is by far my favorite place for pizza. Although it is a little greasy, it can't be beat!

Stopped by based on the reviews here... very disappointed. I am not sure why it is so hard to make a pizza crust with flavor or put ingredients on a pizza that don't taste like they just came out of a can but apparently that is too difficult for this place. I'll stick w/Garlic Jims or Lombardos up the road a bit.

How sad I am writing this review for a place that my family and I frequent but after the experience we had this afternoon we will never return. This afternoon my sister became stranded and her phone ran out of battery. She stopped in to get a bite to eat and asked to be seated next to an outlet to try to call one of us to come and get her but was told no, she could not use his (owner's) electricity. He was willing to seat and serve her, but not willing to help her out this Saturday before Christmas. (Mind you, this was the owner talking) When I called to confront the owner, regarding my outrage that he would refuse to help someone in need, he got angry with me and said she should have told him outright she was stranded, that he was too busy for this. As far as I am concerned he obviously didn't care. (mind you, she asked for a table, planned to eat a meal, and wasn't asking for free food ...SHE WAS ASKING TO PLUG HER CELL PHONE IN, WHILE SHE ATE HER MEAL, SO THAT SHE COULD CALL HOME FOR HELP!!!) I am disappointed in this business and the way my sister was treated. I am thankful that Avante's, down the road, was available to provide our meal that night as we will no longer frequent this establishment.

Ate here for the first time based on a recommendation from a friend who lives near by. We took our two picky pizza eaters hoping they'd like their pizza. They loved it and want to go back there every time we say we're going to have pizza. I just wish they were closer to our home. Thank goodness they deliver.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. Our other favorite pizza and pasta place is the Pizza Bank in Kirkland. I would rank Astoria at par except it's closer to home. My entree of choice is the Greek Spaghetti which I don't think is on the menu. I happened to see someone else order it. It's spaghetti tossed in olive oil and Parmesan cheese with your choice of chicken/mushroom or spicy sausage. I prefer the chicken. Each entree comes with a salad and bread. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the service is decent.

I live in god damn California, but I visited this place last time I was in Seattle and oh my goooddd their spicy pepperoni pizza was incredible. If only I didn't live 800 miles away........

Came here on a weekend and ordered a pepperoni pizza. It wasn't bad and decently priced. The pizza was a bit overcooked, as for the crust was a little hard, but besides that it was pretty good.

I've been here 3 times and had an awesome meal each time. First time, I had the $5.51 pizza special. I usually like really thin crust, this is a little thicker, but still top notch. The sauce is really nice and there is plenty of cheese and pepperoni. Next time, I had ravioli and meatballs. Man, oh man. Excellent. The ravioli was pretty good, but the meatballs were a perfect 10. Again, the sauce was great. No chunky tomatoes, thank God. Went again today and had the Philly Steak Sandwich. Excellent. These guys know how to cook and aren't serving you garbage. It's a solid, quality product. The owner is really nice and takes care of you while you eat. Finally, the salad. Fresh lettuce, fresh mozarella, olives and one pepper and one cherry tomato. Fresh and crisp. I love going to this place, I can count on a great meal every time. If it was in Seattle, it would be packed every day. I think the atmosphere is nice too, quiet, cool and nice big booths. What more could you ask for? I really hope more people try this place, more restaurants should take pride and run their place like these guys do.

This place is AMAZING. The food is delicious and the portions are really substantial for the price you pay! The crust is a little thicker than I would prefer, but definitely not super thick and doughy. They have great deals (i.e., one topping personal pizza, salad, and drink for like $7-8!). Their cheesy bread is amazing too. The staff is super nice as well, which always is a plus!

The atomosphere is lacking....a lot. And the service was not noteworthy. But they do have a couple of good beers on tap and their pizza is decent. Might as well do take out, though. It's really not worth sitting here and eating in this bland enviro.

Astoria is one of the restaurants my wife and I know what we'll get, and its quality, every visit. The dishes we've tried there (various salads, fettuccine with shrimp, pizza, and a prime rib sandwich) were all very good. I can't speak for other dishes. The prices are good, the people and the atmosphere are great, and there is definitely a local following. The only complaint my wife and I have is the amount of food, it's simply too much. But considering that you can always take it home and have it for lunch and dinner the next day, it isn't something that stops us from coming back. I would definitely attribute this restaurant to one of those places that may not look like much, but is going to pleasantly surprise you.

I love this place! Astoria is a family-owned restaurant and they make you feel like family while serving you. They have a large pizza selection and are generous with toppings and cheese. They also have a nice selection of pasta dishes that all come with a salad and bread. Alex, the owner, is Greek so they also offer some Greek dishes. This isn't a fancy, gourmet restaurant. It's more like home-cooked, comfort food.

Very good place. The food and service were both good. Would like to take off half a star for decor. Doesn't say Italian to me But with food and service this good who cares. Very good price too.

I was a fan of Alex and Astoria but after tonight I am not sure if this restaurant deserves my patronage. I ordered a dish which was served cold. We tried to eat it but it did not taste right. The waiter took the dish away, I asked for the dish to be removed from my bill. Alex refused to remove it stating, :This is one of my most popular dishes, I can't help it if your taste buds are off." So I asked them to box it up and was told the dish had been thrown out. I asked them to make a fresh one since they would not remove it from the bill. They did make a fresh one and I brought it home. The whole experience left me with a bad taste..... The pizza's are always good here and the Bar-B-Que pizza I ordered was no exception. But customer service goes a long way and tonight I was disappointed in thr

Astoria by far is the best local indie pizza joint. We've been going for years and Alex, wife & staff always greet us like family! You CANNOT beat the prices especially the ever-present large, 2-topping for $10.95; who does this anymore? Generous portions across the board. The pasta dishes are decent (Greek spaghetti is wonderful) however this is our go-to pizza joint - whether takeout or dining in (I am a beer and pizza fan and they have a small but good selection of brews and still pour pitchers which brings to mind the pizza parlors from my youth) Astoria is the place to go. It can get VERY busy (quite the local following) but well worth the wait. Plus I love the fact that this is NOT a chain restaurant! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!!!

This place is awesome! The pizza is great. It has the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. You can get a large two-topping pizza for $12. The pasta is also great. They have the best bread sticks with garlic butter that you get with most pasta dishes. The fettuccine is wonderful and the Greek spaghetti is delicious. The portions are huge! Two can order a pasta dish and share. The service is excellent and I love supporting this family-run restaurant.

I've been coming since I was a kid. Good pizza. Good price. Alex remembers me from when I was little and I try to stop in at least once a month. I usually order for pick up. I've dined in a few times and Alex is usually the waiter/prep cook. Saturday nights they may have two more waitresses helping out. Pepperoni sub is delicious!

i hate leaving reviews like this but i had a terrible experience here this weekend. we arrived at about 5pm with a group of 4. the place was busy but there was a still a few open tables and we were quickly seated. and that is were all contact with the staff ended. we sat for 10 minutes. watched people get seated and what not all around us. a few tables got water and the table next to us got filled. we were holding out saying we are next. then she take the order from the table next to us and we try to get here attention but the waitress is off and in the kitchen. the people next to use felt bad saying don't leave but were were hungry and few couple tables already had ordered since were were there so we walked out. NOT EVEN A GOOD BY FROM THE CASHIER OR THE OWNER.. WE NEVER EXISTED ONCE WE WERE SAT. we went to have pizza at Avanti down the street instead.

This place has been around forever, which is just about how long my family has been coming here. The guys that run this place are AWESOME. They are super nice and friendly and that hasn't wavered in the last however-many-years they've been running the place. I think it's 10 bucks for a 2 topping pizza? That's awesome considering you couldn't get a cookie-cutter POS pizza just up the street for that price and have it be as tasty as Astoria makes theirs. It's not the most traditional pie I've seen but they PACK their pizzas. So much that you'll be stuffed after one slice and have plenty for the next day (which by the way, the leftovers are just as good if not better than the first day you get it!). Oh and when you order a salad out, one could easily feed three people -- which is another bonus. Atmosphere is run-of-the-mill, but by the way these guys treat you and the way your belly gets full for such a good price, you won't be disappointed.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
