Food was the best part. Everything we ordered was great! Our server was even better she was very conscious that we had children bringing us food and crayons to distract them. She even sat and visited with our youngest for a while and that goes a long way in my book. The only star missing is because the Thai tea tasted a little different from what I have tasted. It almost tasted like it had steeped too long.

This place is good. It's a little expensive for the quality/quantity of the food, but it's pretty standard Thai. I've waited to write a review for this place because I wanted to come here a few times first. I've done both sit-in and take-out, and my one consistent complaint is that they are NEVER ready by the time they quote you for take-out. The last three times I've ordered to-go from here, I've had to wait at least 10 minutes past what they told me over the phone. It's not a big deal, nor a dealbreaker, but if you order take out I'd recommend showing up 5-10 mins later than what they quoted you.
(3)Thinh H.
I come here all the time and the food is always great consistently. The Tom yum soup and Thai basil fried rice is amazing and you've got to try their mango sticky rice! The atmosphere and a lot nicer than most Thai restaurants and they're very clean. I only only knocked off a star because the service could be pretty bad at times. I've had to wait 30mins just to order before .
(4)Heather S.
Not a clean restaurant and I felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there. Oh and found a pubic hair in my white rice, um no won't be returning!
(1)Malissa T.
I had a lovely experience here the other night when I was w/ a few girlfriends catching up. The place is very clean and lit really nicely. The servers are very accommodating and the food was pretty good as well! We got a curry, pad Thai, and a pad see ew which were all very good! I don't think there was anything that particularly stood out to make me want to come back again but I mean, it was nice.
(3)Steven K.
I am a fan of their fast lunch specials. it comes out quick in a reasonable price. the taste of dinner foods comes out inconsistently, but it's tolerable. Stick with what I know.. Lunch Specials.
(3)Kevin W.
Wow, no complaints here! I love this area because it is close to my work, the Fred Meyer store, a bank, and Alderwood Mall. Toss a fantastic Thai restaurant into the mix and you have yourself an all-around awesome place. I got a lunch special here that was cheap, filling, and delicious. This is the model that other restaurants should be following. They started me off with a small bowl of miso soup as an appetizer for some reason. I had never been served that stuff outside a Japanese restaurant, but I wasn't complaining. They brought out the entree within twelve minutes, and it consisted of Pud Thai, jasmine rice, and the rama chicken with peanut sauce that I had ordered. All of this was superb! They even included a bowl with a sizable scoop of vanilla ice cream at the end. Not many restaurants will just throw in some ice cream for dessert, but this one definitely exceeded my expectations. Forget chain places like Five Guys or MOD Pizza. The best restaurants are the ones that are just like this!

Very nice addition to the Thai scene in Lynnwood. I was pleased with the variety of options, several of which aren't standard to all Thai places. Our Singapore noodles with fried tofu and orange chicken were excellent. The noodles were nice and spicy - 3 stars was a bit hotter than I've had at other Thai places in the area, but still delicious. Portions were very large and good value for the cost. I loved the nice decorative touches throughout the restaurant, too. We'll definitely be back!
(4)Matthew E.
The meat to noodle ratio here is outstanding. It's pricey but you get what you pay for in quality. Otherwise it was great, service was good as well!
(4)Thy N.
Tom yum soup is delicious! Ive had their yellow curry, panang curry, pad kee mao, and noodle soup, all amazing. The cure for a cold however, their wonton soup! Make sure you pick it up when youre feeling under the weather! Wait staff is a hit and miss, and kitchen gets backed up during the rush
(4)Anna W.
Pretty good Thai place in the Lynnwood area. So far I've tried three different dishes, all pretty good, however they seemed to have too much fish sauce cooked into it. So far, that's my only complaint. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are great as well. If you're concerned about prices, it's best to go during lunch time because it's fairly cheap.
(4)Nellie C.
The WORST nite turned into a heartwarming one, because I got dinner here. I got crab wontons & chicken pud see ew & a little emotional while ordering. The lady who took my order was so sweet to listen to me. And, when I got home & opened my bag, there was something extra.....a box that said, "This is a treat for you." *refer to picture For this, I am grateful & they're my go to Thai restaurant in Lynnwood, from now on.
(5)Brandi A.
Ordered The calamari, pad Thai, and orange chicken all of which was a huge disappointment. Not good food. Do not waste your money. Food came out one dish at a time and we never got the right amount of placesettings we had to share.
(1)Nune H.
This is a great place and me and my girls love coming here and getting their appetizers. They have really good peanut sauce and crab wontons. Definitely a better Thai place were the food tastes fresh and the mango sticky rice is the best I've had so far
(4)Valerie M.
I'll break down this review fairly easily. Work nearby, wanted to try it out. They give my work a 10% discount. Too pricey. Small portions for the price. Food was okay.. Pad see ew and mussaman curry with pork. The curry was kind of bland and the pork was very overcooked. Veggies in the curry were undercooked. Took WAY too long for takeout. We had an hour lunch and we were there about 35-40 minutes. Asked for our phone number on take out...while we were there. I asked why and she ignored me. There was no time estimate given , after a while of waiting we had to ask. My friend got the larb gai chicken salad. It was literally a tiny bit of chicken, one huge leaf of lettuce, and 90% mint. Personally tired of these thai places with nice decor and ridiculous prices with not-so stellar food.
(2)Anne P.
I don't understand why I didn't try this place sooner. Always get take out. Food, always excellent. Service always so nice. My new go to place for Thai in this area! My favorite would have to be "yen ta for" and kao moo dang. Just like Thailand!:) DELISH!
(5)Tamu J.
This place is great. The ambiance inside is warm and welcoming. Everyone is friendly. Now for the food. Excellent. I haven't had a dish I haven't liked and strangely enough I have not tried their pad thai (or Pud Thai) yet. My advice, give this place try. It will be worth your time.
(4)Ali H.
This place is so delicious! I had the Phad Thai with Tofu, pot stickers, and the chocolate cake. Everything seemed very fresh, fairly quick service, and decent prices. I have been here a couple times and have not been disappointed. I would definitely recommend this place!
(4)Samuel S.
I work close by, so I go around for lunches. Going to break my reviews into bullet points: 1. Lunch special is good, although the lemon ice tea they serve can be better. One thing that's definitely going to help is to serve syrup instead of sugar, you can't blend cold drinks with raw sugar. 2. Food portion is actually decent. If they can drop the price a little more (10.99 to 9.99) it will be a lot more appealing to a lot of people I believe. 3. They serve you free soup for lunch during the winter. +1 4. Parking is generally packed, but there's a huge fred myer near by, you can park there and walk to the store. I also hope they will rotate their lunch special menu to something else.

I am not one to write reviews, but after how I was treated as a customer it was uncalled for. I have been coming here since the day the opened and never had a problem till yesterday. I signed up for their rewards program since I dine here a lot with my family. And for dining a lot I earned a $10 gift certificate that I wanted to use. So this is what happened. We sat down and got our menus and decided to order a beer, realizing It was happy hour we thought okay, and ordered a appetizer as well. When she came back with our beer, I mentioned I also got the $10 dollar certificate she said I cannot use it, I cannot honor it. I said why not? She said it cannot be combined with happy hour, I said okay than cancel the appetizer and the beer that she just brought to the table that we didn't even touch. She said but its open the beer, and I said yes but clearly we didn't touch it or drink it, and you were the open who opened it. She kept saying, no I can't , I will not , like a broken record. I asked her who was in charge said the owner stepped out side, so we waited than she said owner was at home she will call her. Clearly she didn't call her because I was watching her just kept picking up the phone and putting it down. So we suggested than how about you we close this tab with the one beer and order the three meals I wanted too to use my ten dollars. Again she started raising her voice and saying I CANNOT DO THIS FOR YOU! I said fine cash us out and we left, and told her you just lost two long term customers, but obviously you don't care. It isn't truly about the ten dollars, it is the principle that we came here weekly and enjoyed the food, but when service is bad you don't want to come back. And maybe we didn't understand how to use the certificate but explain it don't keep repeating that you will not use it over and over again and make an situation worse.
(1)Sheri R.
Happy hour menu available only if you ask and many items removed from it Fried Spring Rolls are mushy and doughy inside with greasy exterior Awkward reception area: not always attended and oddly placed refrigerator first thing you see Hall to restrooms always full of over-stock you have to walk around Spiciness of food varies greatly from visit to visit and dish to dish New menu is more chaotic and favorites have been removed like garlic green beans
(2)Tara E.
Yum!!! Love this place! The lunch specials are an awesome deal and I personally love the basil chicken! All the employees are always so nice and they also have good happy hour items!! If you like Thai food I would totally recommend!
(5)Frankle Z.
You should never go to this restaurant. The food is ok. But the attitude of the waitress especially the manager, she is not nice at all. I went there twice, but the same bad attitude. I don't recommend this Thai food. Trust me, guys.
(1)Jes D.
Terrible service... I placed an order for pick up around 3pm on a weekday.. They said 15min and that's how long I got there... Wait staff ignored me and avoided eye contact and my food wasn't ready.. There were only 5 people total eating with 2 wait staff... The decor is nice though getting them 1 star

I notice some Thai restaurants are not maintaining quality and clean foods and this is one of such places, sadly enough. Even worse is the manner the employees treat their customer. I ordered a fried chicken wing place as a starter, along with three more noodle and rice dishes. As some others complained, the servers are too busy talking to themselves to attend to customers tables (even when only two of the tables were occupied including mine). After some time, the starter dish was served and I noticed a white plastic-like part from the fried batter. I called the server and she came and took the thing to the kitchen. After few seconds a lady came out of the kitchen empty-handed but with a frown and said that it was a part of the skin and I should not worry. I said I want to see the part again, and she replied with annoyed tone that she threw it away. I asked why and she said it was okay.. What?!? If you say it's okay then you've just thrown away my food!! Why would you do that? Displeased by the food and service, we had no choice but to leave the place.
(1)Kellen C.
Service is good and fairly quick without being fast food. The prices are fair it's by my home and the. Wife likes it better than our old pace in Seattle so it gets 4 stars we had the pad Thai . Only negative is we asked for 5 star spicy and it wasn't but I understand most Americans don't request authentic Thai spice
(4)Jenny O.
First, I haven't eaten here physically so my review is based off food alone. I am a huge fan of the chicken red curry, if I could eat it everyday I would! Oh and don't get me started with the sweet mango and sticky rice! I absolutely love it!!
(4)Kimmi C.
I tried this place a few days ago since it's close by. We went right after work so we were the only ones there in the beginning (around 5 ish on a weekday). More people came in throughout the meal though. The server was nice and attentive to our needs (but we were the only ones there for a while). Their portions were big. We had Phad Thai and it was yummy. However, it felt a bit more soggy than other places I've tried so I would have wanted it a bit harder. Overall, it's a decent Thai place nearby my home, so I'd probably come again.
(3)Melinda M.
This place is hands down my favorite Thai place in the North End. The fresh rolls were so beautiful and perfect, with gorgeous red bib lettuce unfurling it's beautiful edges coming out of the tops like an exclamation point. The peanut sauce is amazing. I have read complaints about the service here... but our waitress was so lovely and polite: she made sure we were happy and was very attentive. I also had the chicken larb which was superb. I ordered beer the last time I was there, but I might try a house drink tonight. My friend's meal was reported to be delicious. I didn't taste it because he ordered about 5 stars more than i do. Usually Thai places can really be a dump, but this one is just beautiful. The lighting and decor was warm and welcoming. And! Get this: they have a club you can join to get dining points or discounts or free food on birthdays or anniversaries. We were there on a Saturday night and the place was only about full. I promised them a review, because this place is special!
(5)Anna R.
Went here with a couple of friends for lunch, the place was practically empty yet after seating us it took a while for the server to come back even with our waters, we should've left. I ordered the naan (if you like naan don't get it here) and the Tom Kha soup with a medley of mushrooms, which you would think would be hard to mess up but the button mushrooms didn't seem fresh at all and the other types look like they just threw them in without prepping at all. The bathrooms were nice. The food and service not so much. Sadly I won't be back, especially not when Silver Spoon Thai is so close.
(2)Bing Jai C.
I wont recommen he my friend to go to this restaurant. The service is horrible and the food is not good as well
(1)Max T.
This is the worst Thai restaurant I have ever been to, not worth for the money , garlic delighted with just a pan and uncooked vegetables, as well as their waitresses attitude , never ever coming back, nor referring to a friend.
(1)Lori C.
I love Thai food. This eatery confirms this. We almost kicked the dishes clean. Super friendly folks here. Even an ethnic story with the meal.
(5)Abhinav S.
Good food. Golden Cashew, Phad Thai and fried banana icecream. All was awesome. We are surely coming back.

Considering that Yelp does not allow negative ratings except by comment reviews, the rating I am giving Areeya Thai & Noodle Cuisine is NEGATIVE 5 STARS. Based on our experience, hubby and I decided to try this local restaurant as it was 5 minutes from our house. Arrived at 640 pm, seated within minutes from arriving. Then it starts... First, our waitress took 15/20 minutes to take our order. We were patient as there were a lot of people. Order placed about 7ish. For the mean time, I took a phone call lasting about 30 mins. (per my cell). Asked hubby, what happened to our food? We looked for our waitress but couldn't find her. We noticed that there were five other tables also looking around wondering where the wait staff is or wondering what happened to their food. Finally, I had to get up and look for the waitress to ask about our order. Her respond, "I'm not sure." (wrong answer, chick!) "Okay...I want my check." Then she said something in her native language and said, "Your order is ready. Do you want it boxed?" I said, "No. I want my check." She provided me with a $35 dollar check. I said, "No. I am only paying for the Thai Ice Tea." She shouted something to the kitchen (probably cussing me out), adjusted the check, paid for it, and left. No apology, just an ugly look. With that, we will not be returning! Lastly, while sitting in the car deciding where we should eat, three other couples got up and left the restaurant. HA! The power of the consumer still holds true. Sorry for you Areeya. You lost a lot of customers tonight, not to mention good tippers.
(1)Jasmine K.
I love This place so much. And so does everyone I bring. The flavor is always perfect. Crab wontons and wide egg noodles are fantastic. Of course with some Thai ice tea. I'm always coming back. I have been going here for 3 years now.
(5)Liz K.
We stopped by for dinner on a Sunday evening, the weekend after we moved close by. We were seated right away, and a server immediately came over with menus and water. We looked over the menu and made our choices, and then we waited... and waited... and waited. The servers made eye contact while they rearranged plates, cleared other tables, and served the three other seated tables. The place was nearly empty, and it seemed so odd that no one came back to take our order. We continued waiting, perhaps 10 minutes, and the server who brought us water came by and asked if we were ready to order. We said yes, and she said OK, then walked away. She spoke to another server who seemed to blow her off, and then both of the servers proceeded to ignore us. We waited a few minutes more, then decided there was no way we were going to convince these people to take our money in exchange for food. We left. Lesson to the staff here: you are located in a complex with at least half a dozen restaurants that are your competition. It's pretty easy for an irritated customer to find an alternative. Don't make your customers make that choice with poor service.
(1)Ernest L.
The wait time at this place now averages 1hr in the middle of the week when it's not busy. The food is ok but not worth the wait. We won't be back.
(2)Rolando A.
This place is great!! It's not totally authentic but the food has great flavors and really hits the spot. The service is good, even better when it's slow. They have some specialty drinks as well, the emerald punch is delicious!!!! Overall I definitely recommend eating here! I have read other reviews of this place saying otherwise and I greatly disagree, I work in a restaurant and know how ridiculous people can be so try it for yourself.
(4)Mrs. A.
I really liked this place. I was very reluctant to try it since the reviews weren't happening. I was pleasantly surprised. I waitress was very friendly and accommodating, I think her name was Beana. The food was fantastic! Red curry excellent, noodle dish we ordered was very good and the crap wontons as well. The Thai ice tea was small and mostly ice but that is my only complaint. I am glad I found my new place since I had to drop chili basil for bad customer service. Areeya if you are reading this, whatever you did on the day I visited you need to keep doing!
(4)Diana A.
Food was okay. I ate at a lot of thai places, this would not be a place I would ever reccomend. The food tasted like nothing. I asked for everthing spicy, and nothing came spicy, It's one thing if they forgot, but the waitress even asked back "how spicy?", and when she set the plate down, said "spicy fried rice". Yeah that was a joke. I asked her to remake it. And literally all it came back 2 mins later, and there was two spoonsfuls of chili on top. Haha okay lazy! if i wanted that i could have done it myslef. Duh! But whatever. I would think for how much they charge it would be better service, they had fancy decor. They prolly thought I was annoying for asking them for a fork 5 times. But damn, is it really that hard. Went in April 2014
(2)Mike M.
Service is very slow, took 20 minutes to get a beer after I finally got up and demanded it, vegetables are undercooked at took another half hour 40 minutes to get food. The waiters are disorganized and not very friendly , cook is slower than molasses in winter!
(2)Shane B.
I tried the pumpkin curry, normally when I get a 3-4 star dish at other thai places I am disappointed with the spice. I asked the waitress if they go above 5 stars, she smiled and said yes. I ordered a 6 and let me tell you it was HOT!!!!!! and Amazing. Totally recommend this place!
(4)Misghana A.
Great scenery, service was great and they were accomodating to special requests. My Pad See Ew was a big portion and the cost does complement what is served. Everything from the curry to my dish was delicious. Have been going to Areeya multiple times already.
(4)Adrian F.
I ate in a lot of Thai restaurants before and this place is by far one of the top 3. They make some of the most delicious curry's and fried rice. If your considering to have some thai cuisine for dinner. I highly recommend this place. They serve absolutely delicious foods!!! The only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because the stars were for the food. But they are still in a service related industry and I should also relate the service provided by the servers. There is one of them that I thought was really kind and provides excellent service but there is also one that provided us a not-so-good service. I ate there with my girlfriend about 2 times but I keep coming there because I order thai iced tea for take out. anyway, the first time I went there with my girlfriend we wanted to order spring roll. they served us the fried one but we were thinking the fresh one with the peanut butter sauce. we asked our server to change it (the nice one) and that server gladly did it. When we finally got our order it was a different server (the not-so-good-one) and not only did she gave us our order but she also gave us a lesson about the difference between the fried and fresh one. First, her explanation was wrong because spring roll is always fresh. Second, she's wrong for accusing us for making the mistake. It wasn't a big deal for me to change the food coz it was a misunderstanding but to start blaming is a big NO! when it comes to service. I'm only focusing on the food here and its actually really delicious. I strongly recommend the place..
(4)Caitlin B.
Yummy! Love the yellow curry with mushrooms and tofu. My boyfriend had Pad Thai with tofu. We both enjoyed the gigantic fresh rolls as a starter. Coming back.
(4)Abby S.
Oh my god... Yum! I am a die hard Thai lover, and this is by far the best Phud See Ew I have ever had. Great service, clean restaurant and fantastic, flavorful food.
(5)Nate B.
I have been to countless restraunts and must say that when it comes to a local Thai restraunt- this one by far is the best. Clean, quiet, friendly staff, and the food not only tasted delicious, it looked amazing! The restrooms look like something from a new home instead of a restraunt. I will definitely be comming back here again and again!
(5)Phuong B.
Don't be fooled by their happy hour. It is a much better deal to go with the regular menu as you cannot box happy hour items. My friend and I came on a Friday night and it was nearly empty despite it being "happy times". I could see why, or more appropriately, smelled why. I get it, it's an Asian restaurant. Fish sauce is a common ingredient, it's suppose to smell. But more often than not, the smell makes me hungrier. However, this restaurant had a distinct smell that made me want to get the hell out. Unfortunately, we did not and settled with the pad se ew and crab wontons. The wontons were fine, albeit tiring after a bite (cream cheese filling overwhelming). The pad se ew was doused with grease, oil, and had a foul odor. At least the portion was huge. We split the plate and still had to take some to-go. However , that doesn't make up for the smell. Service was quick and efficient. It was nice to have my water cup always filled. However, the smell from the food unnerved me and I don't think I'll ever come back.

My favorite Thai place. The fresh rolls and peanut sauce are yummy. Best noodle soup and rice soup I've had. I actually crave it. My husband loves the mango salad. Good sized portions. Always great, friendly service, even if they do occasionally forget to bring the tea. Oh, and they have a great loyalty program too!
(5)Dennis L.
Always fresh and excellently prepared. It is definitely my "go to" for Thai food. The staff is friendly and attentive and I am always pleasantly surprised that my meal is always as good as I remember. We're very fortunate to have Areeya in our area!
(5)J C.
Beautiful restaurant and food was good, but it takes A LONG time for the waitress to get me water and even longer for my food to arrive. And the restaurant has less than 5 tables with guests. Go if you have all day in your hands, otherwise find somewhere else to eat within the shopping center.
(3)Agnes I.
Awesome chicken BBQ kind of addicted to it now lol been ordering it several times the past two weeks! Thanks for good food!
(4)Whitney S.
The service here is just terrible. My husband had to try to flag down the waitress over 3 times just to refill the drinks. They also brought the wrong soda, we had to repeat our orders then they still asked us what we ordered, and the older lady (possibly a mgr/owner) doesn't know the menu at all. That being said, the food was quite tasty. I ordered pud Thai and my husband pineapple fried rice. However due to the service, we might just stick with our tried and true Thai bistro down in mill creek...
(3)Allison A.
The food is terrific. My family and I frequent this restaurant and are always welcomed by friendly smiles and excellent customer service. The crab wontons are out of this world amazing! This place is definitely a must if you love Thai style food and charming little places.
(5)Aaron L.
Are lunch here for the first time after passing by numerous time on our way to MOD... The lunch combo, at $8.50 was a bargain and the food was excellent. We both had the Massaman chicken, which was similar to Panang. Lots of meat, potatoes, and vegetables. The Pud Thai came as a part of one order and it was not too wet (which is good). I recommend anyone to try Areeya, especially for lunch.
(5)Mad M.
The food is amazing... The only reason I don't give it a 4-star is the slow service. You will wait... And wait... But the food is VERY good.
(4)Angie L.
I don't know why there are so many negative reviews about Areeya. This is the second time we've ate here and both times it was really good. The service was a little slow to come take our order but there was only one waiter at that time so that was to be expected. As we ate another waiter came on shift I think we just hit before the dinner rush. I always order Swimming Rama when we go to Thai food and theirs was really good! They even gave me more rice to take home with my leftovers which is super generous! We will definatly be back!
(4)Sarah M.
I came here a couple of times right when this place opened and it seems like they've ironed out some of the kinks since then. The service has been consistently good and friendly - and the food has been much better. I do feel like you have to know what to order here...while I'm not impressed by the pad see iew or the rad na which is what I usually get, I really like the noodle soup here with tofu. The place itself is cute - every time I come in, it seems like there are more and more decorations. I've never really seen a ton of people in here but there always seems to be a long line for take out. All in all, good convenient place if you live in the area.
(3)Dre G.
Came in around 7pm, ordered tom yum soup, pad ke maw and panang curry. We got the soup first and waited a good 35minutes for the remainder 2 of 3 dishes. The food was flavorless, bland and no taste. Service was bad, never got a refill on my water. If you enjoy thai food go elsewhere! Stay away from this place. One thing they did right was the decor but most thai food restaurants get this part right.
(2)Holly J.
Three stars is about perfect for this restaurant. I ordered to-go and they told me 15-minutes and about 5 minutes later I was on my way! So that was nice. The restaurant is a bit bigger inside than I thought it would be. Quiet low-light ambiance would make for a nice meal for two or chill evening out with friends. Everyone had food on their tables and the waitress seemed attentive and knowledgable from what I saw. (It really is amazing how much you can observe about a restaurant just sitting and watching for 5-7 minutes.) Food was priced average. My Pad Thai was pretty average as well. A little greasy - would've liked more of the peanut taste in the sauce. I asked for 3 stars and it tasted more like 2. Overall a nice place, nice staff and pretty good food. Check it out if you're close, but don't go out of your way.
(3)Jason D.
Not good! Some of the worst Panang I've had. Want impressed. Nice place and friendly staff though. Great location
(2)Krystin T.
Pretty standard, run-of-the-mill Thai place. It's pretty nice inside for a place in a strip mall and we were able to get in and get a seat incredibly fast. Of course, we were there a little before noon so there was no lunch rush, which helped. I ordered the Pad Thai because I love it and I'm boring like that, and my friend had the rice soup. I'm not a big fan of spicy food so I asked for just one star, and there was NO spice whatsoever. While I'm grateful my mouth didn't burn off, it would have been nice to have a little more of a kick to it. I also ordered a soda, which didn't come out with our entrees. I had to ask for it again, which wasn't a big deal but a bit annoying. Other than that, no complaints about the service. There are tons of Thai options around, so I wouldn't necessarily make a pilgrimage all the way to Lynnwood JUST for this place, but I'd definitely stop by when I'm in the area.
(3)Zarinna C.
Not a fan. The place was nice and clean but the service and food a different story. They provided us water as soon as we sat down but everything went down hill from there. We sat there and waited and waited for the server to come and take our order. We made attempts to make eye contact with the server but constantly ignored. When they finally came to take our order, it felt as though we were bothering them. Once the food came, we were not impressed with the taste. It was bland and lacked taste. They only came once to re-fill our water and that was only because we raised our hands.

Great ambiance, food, and drink. The service was slow after getting the check and they were out of a few items, but the server was friendly. I'd be happy to go back and try more on the large menu.

My mom went yesterday night to get to go, she called ahead of time and they said it would take 15 minutes, we were late by 25 minutes. We stood by the door and all the servers just walked by without even asking if we needed anything or if we were eating there. Another couple was waiting too and they ended up leaving. So finally, we get helped and we told them we were picking up food and they took a long time to get it to us. So their service is just bad.

It's no Chili Basil. For 5 extra minutes, you can go a mile or so down the street for PHENOMENAL Thai, but to be fair, what Areeya has over Chili Basil is ambiance. This feels like a real sit down restaurant, not just a strip mall joint. I personally don't care that much about this aspect, but I know there are those of you who might want to take a date here because the decor is nice, the food is reasonable, and the service is good. Areeya will do in a pinch, but I am a self admitted Chili Basil fanatic, so unless Areeya opens later, it's unlikely I'd return. :-)

Atmosphere was great. Good for family dinners. I was craving Kao Mu Dang all day and when I got thia dish is was disappointing becuase it did not taste like Thailands at all! Not even close to it. The crab wontons and Chicken Satay was wonderful though. My mom has the Suki and it was tasty and Yentafo was good. Customer Service was awesome and our food did not take as long as some other people were saying and the place was pretty busy.

This place is just a major disappointment. Super hesitant based on previous reviews but I think everyone deserves a chance. My bad. Ordered the chicken satay and naan with peanut sauce for appetizers. Satay was blah 2 pieces that tasted like they were microwaves. The naan was just gross. It was practically transparent from all the oil on it and when pressed it oozed grease. Took 20 min for appetizers but there were only 3 other tables. For entrees we ordered pineapple fried rice and beef panang curry. Double yuck! Previous reviews were right the panang tastes funky. It wasn't creamy at all, more like a tart spaghetti sauce and dark as chili Colorado. The pineapple fried rice was like bland mush. Seriously had the consistency of quinoa. Second star was for the many refills of water. It helped wash the taste away.

It's a nice restaurant to stop by and have some thai food. One day, I haven't eaten that day and was STARVING. I couldn't even get home. I had to eat something NOW! I saw this thai place and I usually only EVER eat phad thai in a thai restaurant. The place was kind of empty. Only two other tables occupied. I just ordered some phad thai and a small appetizer (it was happy hour and the price was reasonable and portions were half and I wanted to eat something asap so...). Got the gyoza right away. It was nicely hot and crispy. The sauce was too sweet for my taste but I can see some people liking it. And then the phad thai came out. i honestly just came alone and didn't really want to be bothered. Didn't want small talk. She still walked by a couple of times and asked if I'm doing good and if I needed anything. Was very polite was quite attentive. But she did seemed to have a nice, little conversation with the table behind me (I think there was a kid). They all seemed nice. The phad thai noodle was slightly more chewy? compared to other places. But was pretty good. I ordered the chicken phad thai and There was a LOT of chicken in there. I'd definitely come here again some time with my boyfriend or something.

Pad Thai, Pad See Yew and Curry's are fine for the husband but the Larb Gai for me always tastes weird, never seems... fresh? And they're expensive!

This was our consistent go-to Thai location in Lynnwood. Initially because we lived 2 minutes away. However, after visiting other locations, we kept going elsewhere less and less. We were consistent chicken Pad-thai consumers (2 stars), and chicken noodle soup. Our kids always ate all of their food and there were never any leftover. We have not dined in, so I can't speak regarding their sit-in service. As a to-go customer, the food was done quickly and always as fast as they said it would...which was always 10 minutes. Good stuff.

Unfortunately, the delicious food can't make up for poor service. I've been to this restaurant twice with friends and had the same experience both times. Areeya's makes excellent curries and delicious basil rice. Their chicken satays are also wonderful. In conclusion, the food was great. The service on the other hand, not so much. After a moderate wait, our server brought out two of our dishes and then waited another 10 minutes to bring out the other two dishes. After that we were ignored even though the dining room was almost empty. My friend tried to flag down the waiter, but after several attempts just got up and walked to the bar to ask for a water refill. I do wish the service was even marginally better, because everyone I went with loved the food!

this is some of the better thai food i've had in the lynnwood area, and it's conveniently located in a shopping center with ample parking. i ordered the tomyum soup, which had a great tangy flavor, lots of meat and veggies, and was big enough for two to share. the hubby tried their pad thai, which was also a pretty good amount, but i found it to be slightly bland (maybe because i had the soup first). the mango/sticky rice dessert is one of my favorite thai dishes... and they used perfectly ripe champagne mangos and just the right amount of coconut milk. i've had far too many mango desserts with unripe mango, and it's always unpleasant on the tongue. the interior is clean, well lit, and pleasant. most of the thai restaurants i'm used to are somewhat drab on the inside, but areeya is nicely put together. service was friendly and fast, and i'd most definitely come back here for lunch or take out!

I am currently sitting in the waiting area of this restaurant. I was literally passed up 3 times for being seated to a table. The most recent time was me standing in the front of the line, when one of the staff looked right around me to ask what the person who was behind me needed. Unbelievable, and I will never return here.
(1)Kim P.
I am always blown away how quickly most Thai restaurants get the food to your table. So, I am not sure if Areeya took a normal amount of time or quite a long time based on my expectations. It felt like we waited forever and there weren't than many people in the restaurant. The place is comfortable and much bigger inside than expected. The food was ok but not great or something you will crave - we had the green curry and the orange chicken. I wish them well as they're a somewhat new restaurant in my neighborhood, but we prefer Silver Spoon for Thai in Lynnwood.
(2)Susan M.
I had a great experience here the first time I went and a horrible one the second. The manager has got a serious attitude. She literally rolled her eyes at me when I asked her to re-make my order because my 4-year old son has a death allergy to nuts and the menu failed to include it as one of the ingredients in the dish. FYI - you should list nuts on your menu because there are alot of people that have a deathly reaction to nuts, so please don't roll your eyes at people over that! A manager? Really? Never ever going there again!

I've eaten here fairly often and can say that the food is inconsistent. When it's good it's really good and when it's bad it's really bad. I've ordered three dishes from them. 1.) Orange Chicken 2.) Seafood fried rice 3.) Prawn fried rice The Orange chicken is always hit and miss, sometimes it's perfectly cooked and others it's just kind of soggy (which could be due to condensation from to go box) but none the less I end up less than pleased with the chicken. The vegetables, however, are always fresh. The prawn fried rice is always delicious. I get mine medium spicy and the prawns and flavor of the rice blend beautifully. And finally the seafood fried rice. I tried this for the first time and was extremely disappointed. The scallops were over cooked and bland. The mussels were so extremely tough which leads me to believe they are frozen and not fresh!! I called to let the restaurant know that the food wasn't edible in my opinion and was told that they have never been told that their scallops were overcooked and that the cook staff didn't believe me. They then asked me to come back into the restaurant and show them the scallops. (notice they completely ignored my comments on the tough mussels) I was completely put off, but we drove back to the store none the less. The restaurant provided us with a replacement dish which was just as bad as the first. The scallops were now under cooked (which would have been OK if they weren't still bland) and the mussels were still tough. The thing that turned me completely off from this restaurant was that I was provided with no apology for the food, instead I was basically called a liar over the phone and treated as an annoyance once I got there for a corrected dish. I will probably never go back here to eat because I went from receiving courteous service with lack luster food to getting crappy service with crappy food.

this place tastes like shit. Three of my friends told me to never go there, so I tried it. Not worth the money, pissed.

Grand opening. Extensive paper menus to see what people like. -- Not very busy at 630pm though it picked up a little more by 7. Hostess was friendly and met my expectations coming in. Service seemed fairly quick and attentive. Restaurant decor is up to snuff. They didn't go cheap. Definitely gives a nice feel. Direct competition to Thai Bistro on the other side of I5. -- Food is prepared differently though. I'm not a Thai food connoisseur, so I will not be able to give a "authentic vs. Americanized" review on it; but I can say that it was enjoyable. Not really sure whether I like Thai Bistro more (maybe I'm just more used to their taste) One thing I noticed that I cannot yet explain is a smell. When we got our food I can't tell if I was smelling a cleaning detergent or something??? I don't know. It was a smell I wasn't expecting and it lasted for a while. (someone comment if they have a similar experience???) [confused!] Anyway, I don't see why I wouldn't come back and try something else. :)

We've been to Areeya a few times because we get tired of Indigo Kitchen & Bar next door. I feel like with Thai places (and I lived in Fremont so I have eaten excessive amounts of Thai), it's really either terrible or great. Count Areeya as great. Their service is phenomenal for starters. The waitstaff I've had are always friendly. Once, when my husband complained about the price of spring rolls ($8), he got a $5 gift certificate with his order - which we promptly used the next week. He's also a larb gai guy (larb guy?) and loves theirs. The spicy factor is truly on-point. You order 4-5 stars and that is what you will get. The portions are large but satisfying. The decor is clean and inviting. Definitely stop by if you're anywhere near Alderwood.
(5)Tien N.
Don't go here when you're starving, it'll take twice as long to get your food out. Even if it's 3 simple entrees. Panang curry was very weird. 1 star for the decor. Haven't left somewhere disappointed in awhile.
(1)Keith B.
Pretty straight forward Thai place, though the wait was long and the prices are on the high end. I'll definitely try it again.
(3)Lael T.
This food was fantastic. My husband is from New York, so it takes a lot to find Asian cuisine that wows him. We both agree this is some of the best we've had around here. We ordered a lot of food so we could try different things and have leftovers. Pros: Pad Thai and Beef Cashew Stir Fry were amazing, with lots of extra sauce and high on flavor. Could have used a few more slices of lime on the side. The Jasmine Rice was perfectly cooked and not too sticky. The Pumpkin Curry was nice and spicy with delicious chunks of vegetables. The Crab Fried Wontons were the best we've ever had, hands down. Full of flavor and perfectly crispy. The Thai Iced Coffee and Thai Iced Tea are amazing and generously sized. The portions of everything were large and could easily make two meals. Cons: The Crispy Spring Rolls were mushy and flavorless, but I've not found any decent ones in this city, so I could just be picky. Bottom Line: We'll definitely be back. You should try it!

I've come here five times now since the grand opening and it's finally time to type up a review. Grand Opening review: A friend and I came to the opening and wasn't impressed with their menu. It was a soft opening and they explained that the menu was a trial. Current Day: Their prices are a bit high but they are a restaurant with service staff and I don't think they wanted to be classified as strip mall fast food restaurant so that maybe the reason to their prices. Food: I love the it. Its good food and like other reviewers. Happy Hour is the time to go. Appetizer portions are huge for a price. We've had the crab ragoon, deep fried garlic squid, coconut shrimp (has grated coconut shavings), Pad Soo Ee, orange chicken, ginger shrimp, tofu, beef with broccoli. I think we hard everything on their menuexcept for ccurry and they are all good. Gourmet Cakes listed on their menu: SKIP! THERE IS NOTHING GOURMET about it. I had the cheesecake served to me for my birthday and it is the same cheesecake you get from a grocery store's bakery. The only gourmet thing about it is the orchid and chocolate they use to decorate it.
(4)Tony K.
This place just doesn't have it. The service was mediocre and the food was like Thai cafeteria food. Overall they definitely are not worthy of the prices they charge.
(2)Andrea M.
I just have to say do not eat there if you are in a hurry. From the moment we sat down, we could tell why so many reviews complained about bad service or food taking so long. We were there on thursday night during a busy dinner service. There were only 2 servers on the floor for the whole restaurant & one of then was also bartending. There was a third person dressed in black running food & assisting the other 2 any way she could. We felt bad for them because they were nice, but seemed overwhelmed & stressed. Food was good, but a little pricey for me. I decided to get a noodle dish to go for my mom which turned out to be a mistake. The to go ticket said the item was put in at 8:12pm. It was ready at 8:50pm! We only saw 2 cooks in the kitchen! Bad management decision to have a small staff during peak times. It's also stressful for the employees & bad service for the customers. Oh, final insult was my card was charged on her bill & her's on mine.

Awesome wonton soup. Yum.

Had heard good things about this place, so gave it a try. Meh. Service was initially quick and attentive.. We ordered lemon grass chicken and a wide noodle dish with prawns. Lemon grass chicken was very bland, very little lemongrass flavor. Noodle dish was requested medium hot but had very little zip at all.Veggies were fresh and plentiful, but - surprisingly - the noodles were scanty and overcooked. Not much flavor overall. The kicker was that as soon as the dishes were brought to the table, our waiter asked how the food was. I laughed and said I would know when I had a chance to taste it. He never returned. Impressions: Bland, uninspired dishses. A bit pricey for local Thai places. Erratic service. Thai Bistro in Mill Creek is much better. Won't be back.

Saw some bad reviews but since its close to my house and I'm 9 months pregnant and craving Phad Thai, decided to give it a change. Came in at 2pm and ordered from the lunch menu to go. Spicy Basil with Ground Chicken - came with rice AND Phad Thai which was awesome. Perfect amount of food, only $7.95 and tasted great!! I did ask for 3 stars on the chicken but seemed to get it on the Phad Thai instead. Didn't mind. Take out took 15 minutes from order to walking out the door which wasn't bad. Hostess was friendly and knowledgable. I would definitely go back. Especially since there was a $5 gift certificate on top of my to go box when I got home for a return visit. : )
(5)Linh D.
Food is great. Customer service is horrible! 5 servers and they just ignore the hell out of you. Specially thinking going in with a big group they should pay attention to you since they are getting a 18% tip. I felt cheated.
(3)Mary Jo B.
We love Thai food and are pretty knowledgeable about good vs. fair. Areeya is just fair. This place is conveniently located near our kids house, so for that reason, we go on occasion, but I wouldn't go out of my way. The food is much better at Thai Bistro on 164th near Mill Creek.
(2)Kate A.
This restaurant is very clean and has a nice decor with comfortable seating. The prices are about 25 percent higher than the other Thai restaurants in the area and because of the poor service it doesn't warrant that. We ordered the Tom Yum soup and the squid volcano. It took about 20 minutes for the soup to come out and while it was good, there was so much lemon grass in it that it was almost inedible. When the soup came the waitress brought out water. After that she never refilled our water glasses even though we were totally out about midway through the meal. The volcano dish came out about 20 minutes after the soup, with a small serving of rice. They bought the mixed seafood version rather than the squid which was annoying because they never came back to check on us, and some of the seafood were things my husband doesn't eat, And, it was 6 dollars more than what we ordered. There was also some weird electrical shortage on our side of the restaurant that made the lights flicker incessantly which was not only annoying but gave me a headache. We definitely won't be back.
(2)Hingdi B.
Not impressed. This place is expensive compared to other strip mall thai joints - I guess you're paying for the decor, but you're definitely not paying for the food. Parking: Okay, kinda crowded for a strip mall, but you can always find a space. Ambiance: The best thing about the place - ignore the tiny store front on the strip mall - you step inside and it's spacious - nicely decorated with dark modern Thai accents. It's a newish restaurant so everything feels news. Service: Lacking, took a LONG time for the waitress to come by for our order - really had to flag her down, and it wasn't busy on a Wed night. Took a while to get water refill as well. Food: This is where they I take issue. Since it was a noodle place, hubby and I both picked noodle dishes ($9.95). I got the spicy ground chicken noodle dish and hubby got the stewed beef one. Portion size, for the price, was disappointing. I stared at my bowl for a while. And the ground chicken looked - well, don't want to spoil anyone's appetite so I'll just say it was unappetizing. It was just a bowl of boiled noodles, with some veggies mixed it - very little sauce. Hubby's was almost exactly the same. Very little sauce and so when the waitress asked if I wanted "soy sauce" I said "yes" - that's how bad it was. We left in a hurry. Recommendation: Skip this place, try the next.
(2)Safder M.
I like this place. They've managed to consistently serve good thai food. The pad thai was good and so is their soups. I've tried some other dishes, and I loved all of them. The waiters were also very nice and courteous and took care of us.
(4)Jordan L.
In my opinion has the best chicken pad Thai in the states. And I was just in Thailand 9 months ago. Crab wontons are thee best! Get them as an appetizer!
(4)Mindy K.
I ordered a green papaya salad and it was....bad. I guess I didn't expect it to be so not-my-thing... I said 2 star for spiciness but it tasted like 4 star... Inconsistent and poor taste.
(2)Kyle R.
Very unhappy with the dinner I just brought from Areeya Thai. First off, it's a nicely decorated place. Service has been pleasant in the two times I've been there, and food is brought swiftly. Now, the food. It's rather important to me when I'm eating out. Had the Pad Thai my first time there. Solid portion size. More expensive than other Thai places in the area. I felt like I could taste the ketchup in the sauce though, which is a big no-no for me. Today I bought a panang curry with beef. 13+ after tax. Includes rice. But when I got home, I wasn't happy to find that I had been given a very meager amount of rice, not even a full container and the container wasn't packed tightly. The panang was pretty good, truthfully. Not as good as BMG Thai or Valley Thai, but still tasty. Unfortunately, it too was a small portion. I was still rather hungry after eating it. If you don't mind paying more for less, the food hasn't struck me as unpleasant. But there are several better, cheaper Thai restaurants neaby that give bigger portions. I'll be going to those.
(1)Jay B.
Fast service, food was better than I expected and very clean restrooms, a bit pricier than other Thai places, but I Highly recommended.
(4)Maria G.
We order here to-go because it's the closest Thai restaurant near our house. Kind of pricey for the food they serve, and not as good (or affordable) as Tasty Thai on Hwy 99 in Edmonds. Food's only good because we are hungry when we order from them. Service is NEVER consistent, and so is their food. Sometimes you will order fried rice, and they will give you just plain rice. You pretty much are gambling for what you order. Parking is also limited here, since there are other fast food places next to this place. Beware!
(3)Bella S.
We've tried it twice, once for take out and once in house to be fair. Both tries were a disappointment, the food isn't bad it just isn't good, on the plain side and the service was 20min to order and 45min for our food. Still, it's close by so maybe third time will be a charm?
(2)Chelsea H.
This place has been on my list to try for way too long! Finally tried for lunch yesterday. I ordered the Red Curry and Veggie Pud Thai. Loved them both! 4 star on curry and 3 star on Pud. SO SPICY. I love when Thai places down joke about their spice. The veggies in the Pud Thai were big and crunchy, just perfect. I ordered my boyfriend the Thai Fried Rice. He loved it. Service was so sweet and fast for my to-go order!

This is a new local Thai venue located in the new Fred Meyer complex in north Lynnwood. This review is for lunchtime service. If a dish on the menu is listed as a chef's specialty, I expect it to knock my socks off, so long as I enjoy the basic components. In this case, lemongrass chicken was listed as a chef's specialty, and it also happens to be one of my hands-down favorite southeast Asian dishes. My choice was clear as clear can be. Perhaps the Thai version of this meal is markedly different from the Vietnamese version with which I'm more familiar, and perhaps my expectations were higher than they should have been, but this dish as a whole was an absolute disaster. It was certainly interestingly and attractively presented: it arrived in an elongated bowl with a fork and spoon inserted so that I could transfer it to my plate. It consisted of the lemongrass chicken in the middle with carrots on one end and broccoli on the other. Very pretty to look at, but not very good at all, to eat. The carrots were of manageable size but the broccoli florets were gigantic, and both vegetables were barely cooked. I would not be surprised to learn that they were just heated briefly in the microwave, they were so hard and crunchy-raw. Worse, the chicken was so mildly spiced that I could detect no lemongrass in the dish other than visually -- a few woody pieces which I assume were cut big and left on the food as some kind of visual "garnish." Flavor and fragrance of lemongrass? Quite literally undetectable. Worse yet, there was no sauce. None. Yes, I mean none at all. And worst, the only utensil provided was a fork. So, picture the entire tableau as a whole: how on earth am I supposed to eat a dish consisting in part of hard, big, almost raw vegetable-hunks, over dry rice, without sauce to provide some moisture, using only a fork? Overall, this dish was an epic fail, and the killing blow is that it was listed as a specialty. One last note: with the $12 largest appetizer, and no drinks besides the complimentary water, our lunch clocked in at just shy of $40. I award them one star instead of none because my dining companion enjoyed his meal entirely and I noted that other patrons were attacking their plates with gusto, so clearly they can do some dishes well. Also, the place was immaculately clean and the staff were very warm an personable. Given that they are still wet behind the ears, I do not rule out a second visit in a few months once they've been able to get feedback from their clientèle and adjust their approach accordingly. Perhaps time and experience will carry the day. In the interim, if you decide to try this place out, I suggest sticking with pedestrian fare that is difficult to screw up by trying to make it more fancy and pretentious at the cost of edibility and enjoyment.

The food was good. Unfurtunatly first serving me curry with chicken when I order curry with mixed vegetables (I don't eat meat). This has happened to me twice in my life and I usually will politely not take a reorder. My biggest fear is they will reuse what they can off my plate and I will still end up eating some meat (not a big deal if you eat meat but a huge deal for vegetarians). This time I was hungry and thought it would be silly to not get some food. Sadly, after eating half my dish I found some chicken. The waiter knew I was a vegetarian so I don't know what happened, I just know I won't go back. The food isn't bad, but the lack of undetstanding dietary wishes and putting profit before these requests makes me sad. However! If you are not a vegetarian, this place will be just what you are looking for.

I attended their soft opening on the first day of business. My whole family was so excited about a new Thai place opening in our neighborhood, so I couldn't wait to try. I was greeted warmly by the hostess and entered into a nicely decorated, modern and warm restaurant. I was given water immediately, and the hostess was so sweet throughout the whole transaction. I ordered off the lunch menu, which had some outstanding choices. I was quite impressed with the amount of things the menu contained, considering it was a "dress rehearsal menu." I decided on the massaman curry with just one star. I always order one star when I try a new place, because each place often has a different perception of one star, etc. The lunch combo comes with the main dish, pad thai and rice. I believe there is also supposed to be soup, but I didn't get any -- I think that was due to the soft opening, and it hadn't been prepared. I wasn't worried, however - soup would have been a lot of food for me. The portions were generous to begin with, there was a lot of pad thai on my plate, and the curry was plentiful, as well. The one-star is absolutely perfect for a child or a spiceaphobe, but I think next time I'll go with 2. The veggies in my curry were thick and cut beautifully. They were the absolute perfect texture - carrots were not mushy, and the potatoes weren't crunchy. The flavor of the sauce was wonderful, rich and sweet - just like I like it! I was most impressed by the Pad Thai, as it was so very flavorful. I love a pad thai that is slightly sweet and doesn't taste like it's flavored with only ketchup, and this definitely fit that bill. Nice texture of the noodles, wonderful flavor, and just enough to whet the appetite. All in all, the experience was pretty groovy. Even though it was their first day open, there was a confidence and professionalism in the service which made the atmosphere so very comfortable. I am definitely going back and can't wait for their menu to expand. I totally recommend this place to my friends, family, and well -- you!

I have been here a couple times now, and I can't even remember what I ordered the first time besides the Tom Yum soup. I am a huge soup fan, I will eat just soup for a meal if I can and that is exactly what I have done every single time I have come after my first. This place also does not mess around with their spice, I have had 4 star spiciness at other thai places and their food is usually still sweet and I always want more. Here the 4 star soup was a kick in the pants, exactly what I wanted. The only complaint I have is that my girlfriend who isn't as huge of a soup fan as I am always gets some appetizers and Pad Thai instead (maybe having a bowl of the holy water of soups as well) and her food is always just OK. Its good, but definitely not great. But I have my soup, and that is all I need.

Excellent server. I REPEAT. EXCELLENT server who was attentive and helpful with my questions. However, the kitchen was extremely slow and two groups that arrived after me were served first. When the food finally arrived it was cold. I had it remade to go and was unimpressed by the meal. Doubt I will return but I did tip the server 100%.

My fiancé and I decided to give this place a try since it looked like the reviews had improved. FANTASIC service, very clean and inviting environment. We had both been fighting our first cold of the season and thought some spicy thai food could help out.. we both ordered curries to go- I got panang with tofu and he got the mosseman (I know.. most likely incorrectly spelled) with chicken. I usually opt for 2 stars and he goes for 4+, the hostess told us the curries tend to run spicy so usually people order lower star than what they usually like... big mistake.. I went for 1 star and it was so bland, and had a horrid fish taste to it I've never experienced with panang curry. The fiancé did the same and went for 3 stars and like mine his was bland and smelt awful.. he tolerated his and ate it but the fishy taste in mine was so overwhelming I couldn't eat it! Again, service here was wonderful and the portion was fantastic. ..although I wish we would have wanted leftovers :/ Eventhough this place is very close to our home we will stick with our favorite thai spot.

Bad Customer Service: The waitress could barely speak English. Then when I ordered a bubble tea and fresh roll off the happy hour menu at 2:15, and then asked to take them home to my girlfriend, the waitress shook her head all confused, and the head chef/waitress came over and was all PUNITIVE and kind of mean, saying you CANNOT take any happy hour to go! IT was just one of those moments that if the "restaurant stake out" camera guys were watching they'd be saying "YOU CANNOT TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT!" Thanks to that show, I'm confident in saying, the management IS RUDE!~ The Bubble Tea I asked to go initially, and they brought it in a glass cup. FAIL. The Fresh Rolls, I figured, I could munch on and they wrap up to go after the fact, since the waitress looked all confused at first request. But even then, the bug eyed management lady was all uptight about it. REALLY? WHY? SO THAT I DON'T COME BACK AGAIN? The happy hour price for those rolls wasn't even good. It was the same price everywhere else, $3.99! Pssssshhhhhh
(2)Zhana A.
Great food. crab wontons were great, fresh rolls too, ice cream-yummmm. amazing choice of drinks, also very important-clean place, not overwhelming but greatly decorated as appropriate. Some idiots always have something to complain about. You are not in Harrods, London, what do you expect? i ve been a waitress in a restaurant and i could complain just as i m sure some of those guys in the thai place would - some of you ( the jackasses) eat like pigs, no manners no ethics whatsoever, cheap and worst than children that have, expect the service and food for a very cheap price but tons of it to be like if cooked for the Queen of England, serviced by a personal waiter and leave 10% at the end- well- you know who u are, so STFU. The food is GREAT, service TOO! :))))

I love this Thai restaurant. Their Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew ... Delicious! The atmosphere is very nice. They also have an awesome happy hour. The only reason why I gave them four stars is because they got rid of their sample plate in their happy hour menu. :(

This has quickly become one of my favorite Thai places in the area. I've tried a number of different things on the menu and so far they have yet to disappoint. Their crab wontons are awesome. They have much more filling than most Thai places and they are really delicious. You can't go wrong eating the basics like Pud Thai, but they also have great curry dishes and even some higher end entrees if you're looking to appease a more expensive pallet. The restaurant is nice and clean and the staff has always been nice and courteous. It's in a strip mall surrounded by other places to eat, but I continue to be a repeat customer. I'm super excited to have a great Thai restaurant so close to where I live.

great customer service, although the small portion sizes do not reflect the high price tags. food was good, though.

I've only gotten to try the appetizers off the HH menu, which I thought only consisted of deep fried foods from the rangoons to calamari to tofu to wings. Pretty boring buuuut the mango mojito is amazing! It was tropical in it's own right but packed a hefty punch. An added bonus was that it was topped with frozen diced mangos, a nice touch! Next time I hope to try more of their authentic dishes`

Rating on food not service, Great food- was disappointed in their service, they were very busy and seemed understaffed. Probably better for take out, due to the fact we waited over 30 min for our appetizer. Don't waist money on alcoholic drinks. This place will defiantly be our take out choice. Staff friendly, environment nice.

My husband and I visited this new addition to the Fred Meyer shopping center on 164th in Lynnwood the weekend they opened. We were there around 12:30 pm and there were a few other tables occupied but pretty quiet. We ordered the chicken pad thai (2 stars of spice) and the chicken red curry (2 stars of spice) with brown jasmine rice ($1 extra for brown rice instead of white). The chicken pad thai was good - a nice balance of sweet and spice. The curry was excellent, with great complex flavor, and the rice was cooked perfectly. The prices are not that cheap (bill was around $25 for both dishes, no extra drinks or appetizers or dessert), but the ambience was nice and I could see going back there again for a date night dinner. The service was friendly and I would recommend this new Thai place if you're in the Lynnwood area!

We have eaten here about 6 times now since they opened and it has easily moved up to our favorite thai place. The prices are more on the higher end, but we have yet to order something we didn't love. It is getting harder to decide what to order as we have loved everything we have tried. Panange curry is always our go to at any thai place. And it is exceptional here. The pumpkin curry was something we had never seen elsewhere and it was really good too. For soup we LOVE their tom kha! Wait staff is always quick and friendly. Have received several email coupons etc... That have been great to use. Haven't made it in for happy hour yet, but would live to try that menu as well.

Was hoping for more - as this strip mall has a great collection of food (MOD, 5-guys, teriyaki, Indigo, Starbucks, Subway, fro-yo) - but honestly the food was average at best and unfortunately the speed of the kitchen was abysmal - the wait staff were all very nice. Their chicken larb was grainy and dry, their lemongrass chicken was also below average. The white rice had no flavor. The fresh spring rolls were also bland. I really was hoping for more! On the plus side, their happy hour menu is priced on the low side... $2 beers and 1/2 price apps. Their regular menu is a bit pricey for what they put out... I really wanted to love this place! Total bill: 4 beers, 2 mains, and 1 app: $40 + tip. (2 beers and the app were at happy hour price).

I was very excited to try this but was very disappointed. I got take out and got home and wad very disappointed. There wad very little flavor and spice. I ordered my entrees with 3 stars of spice and there wad none.

This one will be short and to the point: If it would get rid of its inconsistency the place would be fabulous. When my order is on it is AMAZING. When it isn't it sucks. And because I never know what I am going to get....it shy's me away from coming here. The service is good (even though it is freezing in there) and the ambiance is nice. No cheesy decorations. The other good thing is it is convenient (at least for me).

Worst Thai food I've eaten in Washington. I've been to a lot of them and I love Thai food, but the ONLY redeeming value for the food here is... Ok, I can't think of anything good to say about this place. Food took forever and then the chicken was like sawdust and the special steak & massaman was like shoe leather. The phad tastes like a 3.00 noodle bowl and the curry was basically a bit of evaporated milk with some crushed red pepper. Completely disappointed with the food. The wait staff was generally confused and I we were asked if we wanted our check - before the food even came! That's how long it took to get it. Our family will never be back.

This is my favorite thai food in this area. The vegetables are always fresh and the food is delicious. I love the pumpkin curry and the yum beef salad blew my mind. The chicken fried rice is also dangerously delicious.

Came here for the first time today to get some food to-go. I thought the place was nicely decorated and the service was wonderful, but the food is just...eh. We ordered the Chicken Larb, Beef Salad, Tom Kha Soup (which was decent), but none of those dishes had lemon grass in them. What the heck? Mango and Sticky rice was the only dish my husband and I enjoyed, but you really can't mess that up. It was around $7 for the plate and there was only maybe tiny spoonful of rice. Ridiculous. My total bill came close to $50. This place is more expensive than your standard Thai Restaurants. Let's just say that I will not be returning here again.

Seriously do not listen to the bad reviews about this place or at least try it for yourself first. My husband and I were hesitant to try it because of the low rating but now that we have we are OBSESSED! The food here is delicious!!! The staff is friendly, the decor is really nice, and they have a great happy hour. Definitely a new favorite!

Food left a lot to be desired. Sea food over cooked. Bland, bland, bland. Service is terrible. We waited while tables arriving after us were served their orders, with our two year old. (yeah, fun for all) Our dishes came out about 10 minutes apart. I don't know about you, but I prefer to be eating together when we go out together. Since I dislike curry, I was not stealing any bites of my husbands! It took FOREVER for our check to come. I actually packed up the little one and headed out to the car. When we came in we were offered the ability to enroll in their mailing list and get free spring rolls or gyoza. We in the end were charged for them, having had waited so long already my husband just paid and left. WE WILL NOT BE BACK, FURTHER MORE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU WASTE ANY TIME GOING THERE.

I love noodles and Thai cuisine so I was driving by and decided to stop for a late lunch. Long story short, I purchased the special they offer until 4:00. The peanut sauce was very bland and was served barely warm with a quite small amount of chicken ( maybe because it was the special). Once I got their attention, I asked that it be heated. The noodles were spicey as I had asked and the place was clean and the waitstaff was polite. The service was speedy the moment I entered the restaurant but the staff seemed to get distracted talking among themselves. I had a good idea of what the amount of the bill would have been, so I left an ample amount of cash to cover the entree, tax and tip because I couldn't get their attention. Good chance I won't go back because the overall experience wasn't enjoyable. Sorry Areeya Thai & Noodle, but you were all very polite and pleasant and I appreciate that.

Terrrific happy hour, friendly and efficient service. I like the atmosphere, very clean. We ordered the tom ka gai and I asked for two stars--- that thing was HOT. I couldn't eat it. That's the only reason for one less star in the rating. Will definitely return.

I eat here frequently for lunch. They offer fantastic food at a very good price. They are also very friendly here. If you like Thai food, check this place out for sure!

Service and Decor gets an A. The food however was not that impressive. The tom yum soup was pretty good but the pad thai was too rich and sweet and the ginger garden was way too overpowering. Maybe the other dishes will be better, they had alot of things to choose from on the menu!

Tonight was my first experience to Areeya Thai and will be my last. The service was lackluster and disappointing. I ordered the Pud Thai as usual after much recommendation from the waiter. I requested two stars without being informed about the spiciness. My expectation was for a slight heat to bring out the flavor in the meal. Regretfully it was too spicy. The waiter did not visit my table during the meal and proceeded to patronize me at the end of the meal by bringing me a slice of watermelon. Needless to say, the watermelon was the best part of the meal.

Love this place. Yellow Curry is the best around. Red and Green curry are excellent as well. I will point out the fact one star is a bit more spicy than I expected. Great decor and friendly staff. This is my go-to Thai place.

I am not sure what is wrong with the other reviewers or if I got better food because my wife is Thai. I was very surprised how good this was. I ordered Pad Kee Mao and my wife had soup from the back where the dishes are Thai style. Both dishes were amazing and comparable to what I have had in LA, SF, or even my many trips to Thailand. Have to order at least 4 stars to get a true Thai taste. My wife said you can tell the soups are made from scratch and not from mix. Yen Ta Fo was her soup. Kid also had beef stew noodle soup. Order from last page for Thai style.

I wish I could say that I liked this place. Truth be told, I'm not a fan. I'm giving it 2 stars because I can at least say that the food was edible. This is why I'm disappointed: I've ordered take-out twice and I've ordered the same thing twice. Both times it came with a different sauce than what was listed on the menu and with different vegetables. If I'm ordering something that's on the menu, I expect to get what I ordered. Also, since I was looking at a to-go menu that was in the restaurant (not at home), I expect it to be fully up to date. I was surprised when my order was $7 higher than what it should have been. I brought it to their attention and showed them the menu. In fairness, they were pleasant and adjusted the price claiming that the menu was old. Before leaving, I made sure to grab an updated menu to take home for future ordering. 2 weeks later, I placed another order and again was charged something different than what was listed on the menu and again, what I ordered wasn't what I came home with. *sigh* I give up.

We are pleased with the food here. Have only ordered take-out so far, though. Pad Thai is great! And we are fans of most the soups. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

The happy hour at this place is fantastic. You are not required to buy a drink for every single person eating. You will probably be tempted to get a drink though because they are super cheap. The service is quick and the people are nice. I haven't received cold food and hopefully I won't ever. I like this place and I love that it is spacious inside, has a darker atmosphere, and is really clean. Their pad Thai and Panang curry are top notch. Also the Thai fried rice is delicious.

I use to go here 3 to 4 times a week and get their combo lunch that came with rice and pad thai, I was a customer here for about 3 months. One weekend I decide to go here for dinner, which only comes with pad thai. I asked the manager who knew me as a regular could I substitute some of the pad thai for rice, since that was what I was use to from having lunch there so many times, I was sternly told no....Needless to say I took my business to one of the many other restaurants in the Lynnwood area. It's amazing that some people who work in customer service don't understand the value of good customer service and how to keep regular loyal customers.

We have ordered take-out from Areeya several times, with mixed experiences. Sometimes the portion sizes seem a little small for the price and once we received an order of noodles that were burnt. Generally though we have liked everything we have tasted - the sauces are especially well balanced, the spice rating is spot on (we trust that 1 star is going to be just enough spice for our toddler, and 4 stars is as hot as we like it, every time), the ingredients are always fresh tasting. The staff has always been pleasant, and our orders have never exceeded the quote times. It seems from our experiences, and the other reviews, that this brand-new restaurant is just finding its stride. Hopefully they will grow more consistent with time. Overall, this is a great little neighborhood restaurant to stop into, but not worth going out of the way for.

Went for dinner. The service was fast and friendly. We were seated and our order was taken, within 5 to 10 minutes. The decor was a very nice setup. Nice colors and furniture was comfortable to dine on. The dishes were nicely laid with our meal. Food came out in a reasonable time. Taste was good. Prices were a little high. But a good spot for a date night.

Great service. Had Red Curry Salmon ($16.95) and the is was pretty bad. Small portion. The Papaya salad was excellent. Phad Thai was weak. Had a chicken noodle dish with ginger and it was not that good either. Overpriced for what you get.

My family and I were underwhelmed after our recent visit and won't be back. The décor is pretty nice, but it's a little dark for my liking. The food lacked any real flavor, regardless of how many "stars" you ask for. I'm not talking about heat, but rather about flavor. Quantities were not large and the rice was not very good. The food was not much above room temperature when served to us (like it had been sitting for a while). The soft tofu I ordered came out instead as fried tofu. Service was below average. Overall, there is nothing particularly good about this place and we won't be returning.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. I stopped by to pick up some food on the run. I got the Red Curry lunch special which came with the curry, rice, and pad thai. Everything was good, perfect amount of heat, and the curry was delicious and they weren't stingy on the meat like most places. Wonderfully surprised. They even included a $5 gift certificate for my next visit.

I read several negative reviews on here but I honestly like this restaurant a lot. You get plenty of food for your money, and it doesn't taste half bad. The decor is very nice and unlike the other nearby restaurants it usually isn't too loud or overcrowded. The service was excellent and everything looked clean. Sure the food could've been better, but the inexpensiveness and decor is what makes this establishment stand out.

Pretty good place. Went on a Saturday for lunch. We got a free gzyoa appetizer for signing up on a mailing list-- a Japanese style chicken potsticker that was crispy and served with a delicious soy ginger sauce. I had pud Thai with a Thai iced tea. I was surprised with the portion size and amount of chicken in the dish. Easily a meal for two. Four star spice level was quite good, what i consider a "real" 4-star. Iced tea was refreshing and served in a nice glass. Decor was nice and service was very good. Why not five stars? The ambiance was a little lacking, kind of slow for a Saturday lunch. If the ceiling were lower it would feel cozier and probably just right. That's a pretty subjective, picky comment though... Overall a solid place.
