The best Indian food that I have had in the Puget Sound area. The servings are ample and authentic. I will return as soon as I am in Lacey again!

My favorite place to go for the lunch special ($9) where you get HUGE portions of food (defiantly 2 meals worth!) My favorite time to go is their buffet specials (sometimes around Valentines Day or Fathers Day) because the variety is stellar and you get the chance to explore a variety of options.

The food here is amazing. Each dish is spiced differently for a unique flavor. Their staff is friendly and fast working. We've been here four times and never had a long wait. Great lunch special! Try the masala chai tea!

They serve a yummy generously portioned lunch special which includes a basmati rice & Naan bread. The restaurant is modern, clean and inviting which includes pleasant Indian music at a moderate volume. Service is prompt with smile. Lunch is a great value. Bathroom is clean and modern too!

If I could rate this 10 stars I would. Indian food is my favorite, so whenever I'm traveling I love to try a new Indian restaurant. My boyfriend and I very familiar with authentic Indian cuisine and we came here for lunch. Wow. Just wow. This is literally the best Indian food I've ever had, and they even serve it on traditional Punjabi trays. My boyfriend and I couldn't stop raving about it and ate every single scrap of our trays...even though it was a lot of food! The service is great and friendly and prices are great. During our 3 day stay, we came here two more times and even brought my family! Next time I'm in Olympia, this restaurant is a must for me:)

This is my favorite restaurant in the world. You might be thinking that I haven't been to that many restaurants in the world, but I have. You might be thinking that I have nothing good to compare it to, but I have. First off, this is the best restaurant in Thurston County, including Olympia (of course). Maybe even better than anything in Pierce and Lewis Counties, respectively. Not just best INDIAN restaurant, but BEST overall restaurant in our local area. When you enter this restaurant you will be greeted by some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered, anywhere. They LOVE children (unlike most restaurants). When we first started eating here right after they opened, they didn't have extra options for children. Clearly, they thought children were important enough to change that, because now they have toddler-size silverware, plates, cups with lids, and more booster/high chairs available. It makes us feel extremely welcome. In addition to the friendly staff, who is always happy to see you and serving you promptly, the food is OUTRAGEOUSLY good. Seriously, we have eaten here on average twice a month for almost 18 months, and we order 2 different meals each time. So we have tried every single thing on the menu, and many of them we have eaten twice. There are a few vegetable dishes that are not my favorite, but even then, they are still better than any Indian dish I have eaten anywhere else! That is saying so much about a place. Second point, this is the best Indian restaurant, specifically, that I have ever been to. Where else have I eat at an Indian restaurant? Well, I travel for work every other week, and I try the top-rated Indian restaurants in every city I visit, because it is my favorite kind of food. A few of the places I've tried Indian are Tokyo, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Orlando... I forget all of them, but I've been all over the US and outside the US and eaten Indian wherever I see a place that has high reviews. I'm not saying any of those places were bad, most of them were really amazing, but Curry House is still SO much better! How will you feel when you visit Curry House? You will start eating and then you will overeat. You will feel like you have just eaten thanksgiving dinner and your pants are stretching out, but you won't want to stop, because your mouth wants more of the delicious flavor-explosion. Even then, when you have stuffed yourself past the point of stuffing, and you are making all sorts of "nom nom" noises, you will have leftovers to take home. The next day, you will see your leftovers and go "I don't care that it's breakfast, I need to eat that right NOW" so you will put it in to warm it up and discover that it is STILL so good when you are reheating it. Then, if you are like me, you will repeat this experience the very next week. If you start to feel guilty, then just tell yourself what I do: I read that curry is good for your brain, or... something. Don't feel guilty, it's amazing food. The dinner is inexpensive and if you sign up for their check-in deals, you get free dinners and texts for bogo deals. The lunch is extraordinarily cheap, and you get a CRAZY amount of food. We have started going here for lunch, ordering extra, and then eating it for dinner, too. Even the naan will hold up and be great when you reheat it at home. Our favorite dishes here: lamb Nirvana! Just thinking about it now, my mouth is watering, I need to eat it! Chicken tikka masala, we love it because even my toddler will eat a giant portion of it. Vegetable korma. I don't even like dishes without meat but this is so good, truly, that I will devour it. We have gotten the vegetarian house special a few times and we always fight over the vegetable korma. All of the different naan flavors are good, but the garlic is sensational. There is so much more I can say about this place. My CEO came to town and I took him and his family here. If I don't want to cook, I will pick this up for take-out, and it is always ready by the time I get there! I could eat at Curry House literally every single day and never be tired of it. I wish I were a child so I could be adopted by the wonderfully sweet ladies at Curry House, and then I could live there. Seriously, this is the best restaurant, I mean it.

Food is amazing, order to table time is slow. I think between the both my boyfriend and I, we've tried almost every curry. We've liked them all but the Saag curry and chicken naan are my favorite. I even signed up for their text messages and get a coupon for buy 1 dinner entree and get 1 50% off every Tuesday... with the text. I don't like their chai though. I've tried it twice and it leaves tons to be desired. It's milky, not enough black tea or spices.

First time there. Everything was tasty. I had chapati (whole wheat bread) mild butter chicken with rice. I sampled the mango lalasi. My husband enjoyed a TAJ MAHAL beer. Along with hot chicken vindaloo with rice. Very friendly, took the time to explain some of the dishes. Small dining area, holds 40 people. Clean and smells delicious. Will definitely be returning.

My dad was craving Indian so we decided to go to this restaurant since I saw the excellent reviews on here for it. Kind of a small place but cozy. My family and I ordered chicken curry, tandoori chicken, paneer pasanda, the non vegetarian meal with naan and basmati rice. Everything was great! My son likes the naan. All the portions were huge. I will say though, the waitress we had didn't seem to want to serve my family and I so much. She asked us if we were ready to order and when my dad said yeah, then started ordering she went to grab the order tab. Also, at the end when my family was ready to pay and leave- my dad had his card out ready to pay and she did the same. You could kind of tell she had an annoyed look in her eyes so I apologized since normally my dad is in a rush anyways. My bf thought she was being a b word honestly. I didn't but she just seemed very short with attending to us. I don't know if I'd come back to dine in frequently but I'd order for take out.

Curry House has delicious Indian food. I can't speak for its authenticity, but it's better quality than other Indian restaurants I've tried. You really can't go wrong in choosing any dish here! The atmosphere and presentation are subpar, which is why it's not 5-star in my opinion. One cool aspect is that they have a shelf of Indian spices and food products for sale within the restaurant.

This place is amazing. My wife and I come here often. She gets either Chicken Tikka Masala or the Butter Chicken. I usually get Lamb Jalfrezi but recently got the Lamb Kadahi and loved it. We highly recommend the Curry House.

    (5)
  • Inky H.

Omg butter chicken. Butter chicken. Get the butter chicken. Lunch special is an awesome deal and dinner portions of the entrees are very satisfying as well. I will definitely always get the butter chicken and try other entrees every time we come back. Favorite indian place in town.

  • Jason C.

I've eaten here three times now, and all times I got their lunch specials which are under $10. You get a TON of food for that price, I can barely finish all the food on the tray. I get the lamb curry and my vegetable of choice is the Aloo Gobi. (Cauliflower/Potatoes in curry). Everything is spiced perfectly and the flavors are amazing. I usually get medium for heat and it's just perfect, enough kick but your mouth doesn't explode in flames. Add a huge, fresh piece of Naan to the meal, and you are fat and happy for hours. The staff is always friendly and your meal comes out piping hot every time. Some days for dessert you get a nice creamy rice pudding, and other times you get a little cake ball soaked in syrup. They both were tasty and a nice finish to a spicy meal. This place blows away any other Indian restaurants.

Excellent food and customer service. The butter chicken is delicious and the portions are healthy. The place is clean and updated. I would recommend this to anyone.

  • Chika C.

The food is good I ordered the super hot tikka masala but it's not that hot and when I ordered the tandoori chicken it's kind of sweet. We want our food to be really hot but none come to close of being hot or spicy. It's fulfilling for the price you pay and it's sure not a bad choice to try some of other menus they have. It's not really the best but it's good enough. The restaurant is clean and bright, not a lot of decoration. The waitress is nice, not a bad deal for weekdays dinner.

  • Angela P.

My husband and I ate here with our 13 month old son. The service was friendly and attentive. The inside décor wasn't fancy, so I wouldn't come here for a fancy date. The tables were nice and I saw a lot of business people having meetings here. It's perfect for a family with children. All the food we ordered was really good. We didn't order it spicy because we wanted to be able to share some with our son and we weren't sure if he would eat it if it was too spicy. He ate almost as much as an adult would, he loved this place. He loved flirting with the waitresses and also staring at the family at the table next to us. We will be back, good prices for authentic food.

  • Lawrence G.

This restaurant has become a regular place for me and my family. The tikka masala is typically on the milder side, so we order it as hot as they can make it to get a more authentic Indian flavor. The service is outstanding and the ladies that waitress are very nice towards my daughter. They provide a respectable military discount and provide weekly specials.

My favorite Indian joint... probably ever! The staff is very friendly and you get a lot for your money. The palak paneer is DELICIOUS!

  • Rocky R.

Excellent Indian food. You can't go wrong with any of the lunch specials. I probably would have given them 5 stars except for 2 things. First, I don't like the nan as much as I have at other places. It's a little thicker/more bready than I like. It is probably just a personal preference. The 2nd reason is Curry Corner is right down the road which I prefer, although I admit, at least in the items that I have tried, this is like trying to compare Harvard and Stanford, you can quibble about which is best, but you really can't go wrong with either.

  • Katt M.

Amazingly good food. Spiced and cooked beautifully. I had the non-vegetarian Curry House special with lamb and it was absolutely delicious. However... The server was -terrible.- She walked by at least five times while I was sitting and waiting for my tea to be refilled, then another five times after the first refill for another. She never came to check up on us; we had to flag her down for extra napkins. She stood at the front desk while we, the only customers, could have definitely used a little attention. Come for the food but don't expect any sort of promptness in service.

  • Aaron B.

Whoa. Went here with the fam for an easy dinner. Read the reviews so I expected good, but we were all blown away. So much flavor! Such a variety of flavors! Great vegetarian options as well. Too often an Indian place is good, but somehow all the dishes taste a little bit similar...not here, just top to bottom great food.

Great staff. Family friendly. Large portions. Lunch plates @ $8.95 and, large! Lunch ends @ 2:30pm so you have time to save money. You won't be disappointed.

Lamb vindaloo was perfect. Way better than curry house. Very flavorful and big chunks of lamb.

  • John F.

We stopped here for lunch today. Frankly, I don't know how they make money on the lunch special. The place was packed. The lunch special comes on a metal tray with six holes for entree. The center is a huge portion of rice, left bottom has a delicious rice pudding, right bottom has some beans, top left has your selected veggie side,. Top right had the main entree, I went with butter lamb, top center has a small green salad. And to top it off... Naan. All for $8.95! Plus an extra $1 for lamb upgrade. It was delicious! I love this place! And the staff are all super nice.

Top notch indian food, period. Great service. Good prices. I'd go there just for the garlic naan, but i wouldn't be able to stop. Take your "I know good indian food" friends and they will be blown away.

  • Shellie-Ann A.

This is the best Indian food I have sampled in Western Washington. The Curry House Special comes with three meat dishes, a spinach dish, rice, naan and a rice pudding for dessert. I have had their curried chick peas, butter chicken, lamb curry and I was completely pleased with the quality and flavor of the meal. Service can be a little slow, but I forget about that when the food arrives.

  • Kelly M.

Oh my this was yummy! I just went here for lunch today on the way down to ocean shores and couldn't have made a better lunch choice! The portions are huge and you get a ton of options. Plus, and this is the best part, they serve their lunches in these metal trays reminiscent of school lunch trays! I love having separate sections :) the food is outstanding! Best Indian food I have ever had. Palak paneer and veggie korma were perfect. I recommend this place if you want some amazing Indian food!

    (5)
  • Mikee V.

I would definitely recommend this indian restaurant over curry corner. My reason is that the spiciest they use and put on their food is way better. Also I feel like the naan is made fresh, it has a good crunch to it while it's soft also. I usually get the lamb curry and it's amazing. For me the major difference between this restaurant and the other is their curries. This one their curry is not dry, it actually has like a small amount of soup that I can dip my naan into. Whereas for curry corner it's quite dry. Maybe it's just a personal preference but I definitely recommend this one over the other indian restaurant.

  • Madeline M.

Excellent food. The best I've had in a long time. Really well priced. I ordered the curry house special which includes chicken tikki masala, tandori chicken, lamb curry, naan, rice, and rice pudding for $15. The naan was cooked fresh and was really really good. Can't wait to try more of the varieties. We loved the spice in the rice pudding. Really everything was spiced really well. The mild choice was perfect for a tame eater, but even the options with more spice were flavorful and spiced perfectly. Highly recommend the Aloo Tikki appetizer as well. We brought home tons of leftovers and can't wait to have them for lunch tomorrow. Small restaurant with good music and great service. Already recommended this to friends and plan to return many more times.

  • Tony B.

Coming from a steak and potato guy... Don't be a dumbass this place is frickin awesome! The Naan is delicious, the rice was perfect, the curry is very tasty. The only problem was I didn't have enough room in my belly for the meal!

  • Renee R.

I can say without hesitation that this is the best Indian food in the Olympia area. The food is authentic and delicious, the wait staff friendly and helpful. You get a good deal for your money spent, ESPECIALLY if you go for something like the Lunch Special or something. I could spend the rest of my life eating their naan, as well as their lamb curry. So, so great.

  • Nhoj K.

The food is as good as the Curry Corner,,,at least when the CH's owners owned the CC. I've not been to the CC since the sale, to be fair. It does seem that the CH's owners got the word that a medium spice should be a medium and not a less than mild (as it was at CC). The food was very tasty. The spousal unit had the Indian meal which as a huge sample of many things. We shared an order of samosas. Very light and not greasy (deep fried). Her tandoori chicken looked soooooo good. Great smoke color. The service is better than used to be at the CC. No 17 year old kid hovering over my table waiting to take a plate in fear I might steal it. So why the 3 stars - not 4 or 5? Ambiance. The place is loud as heck. It was a Sat. night and a full house. Once it thinned out a bit, it was still too loud to hear my spousal unit (on second thought .... ha!). Pls hang some large tapestries on the wall to absorb the sounds in this handball court shaped cafe. Then I'll raise you up to a 5.

Ordered: Pappadam, Veggie pakora, Matter Paneer, Tikka Masala Would I find my way back probably not, would consider if in the area Nothing stood out to say 4 or 5 star rating... flavour was good, portion size ok, staff was friendly.

  • Erin S.

Delicious! I ordered the vegetarian Curry House Special which is a fantastic assortment of 8 items, which is a great way to sample what they offer and perfect for those that are new to Indian or just have a difficult time deciding. I also ordered the vegetable samosas, and they were meh, not that great but not horrible. Bottom line, if I'm in the area again, I will definitely be stopping by for dinner!

  • Dave C.

Really great lunch platters. Excellent quality Indian food and huge portions. Their palak paneer in particular is really delicious, and so is the naan. Staff is friendly and courteous. I will definitely be back!!!

Just had an AWESOME din din here with my mom. First, I am going to tell you- this is what service should be. The employees here were so pleasant and made sure we were taken care of. Now- the FOOOOOD! We had the Aloo Chat appetizer to start. This little dish is served cold. It contained tomato, chick pea, cucumber, potato and crispy bread. The sauce it was in was unlike anything I have ever tasted. We ordered the "Vegetarian Special" which came with 3 entrees, rice, naan, sauce and dessert. Of course we ordered an extra Garlic Nann. Every thing was spiced just perfectly. The richness of the dishes was not overwhelming, but just right. Seriously great food and great service! We left with 2 to-go containers jam packed full of Indian goodness. I am already looking forward to my lunch tomorrow :)

I usually go to Curry Corner down the street but it's closed on Mondays. I decided to go to Curry House and give it a try. The service was quick and friendly and the food was good. The butter chicken was a little more tangy than buttery which is why I gave it a 4/5. When Curry Corner is closed, I found a place to hold me over. I Just Wont Do The Butter Chicken Because It Is In No Comparison To Curry Corner.

I've been to Curry House twice now, both times ordering the huge Vegetarian Curry House Special- Navrattan Korma, Palak Paneer, Dal, Basmati Rice, Naan, Raita and Rice Pudding for 14.95. Both times, the service was fast and friendly. I made two full meals out of it, both times, and I don't eat like a bird! My first visit was definitely a 5-star, shortly after they opened. Amazingly flavorful food, huge portions, busy dining room, but quick service. I'm giving 4 stars, because my food was not very flavorful on the second visit. I mean, it was still good, but it was definitely not what I had on the first visit. Maybe there is a new chef? I will go back and I will update this review if the food is as amazing as it was the first time, if not, I will stick with my usual Curry Corner, which is the best Indian in the area.

  • Kalia A.

I was SHOCKED by how amazing the food was at the curry house I was in a state of euforia as I endulged in the spicy chicken curry I ordered and the mildly spicy chicken masala my girlfriend ordered. I loved every bite. I would consider myself a somewhat expierenced curry connesior by now and this is definitely some of the best I've ever eaten. I can only imagine, they realize the bar has been set exceptionally high by their counterparts curry corner less than a mile a way. Nonetheless I deem both restuarants worthy of 5 stars. Exceptional service and the best curry in town!

God damn their bharta never disappoints. Naan is so crispy and warm too. Nom nom nom. Also chai is perfect!!!

  • Jen E.

I really enjoyed the Lamb Nirvana and Naan.. The lamb was so tender the it could I cut it with a fork. The portions were very big enough for two, and full of meat. They have a daily lunch special which is a great deal which runs from 10- 1430. Unfortunately, for me I arrived after.. I will definitely make it that next time.

This place was delicious! Great prices and food. The portions were very generous. They would've received 5 stars from me provided my server was more attentive. Overall, great restaurant.

Awesome food and healthy portions. This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The people are friendly. Their lunch specials are great. My favorite is the chicken curry. Also, I always have the chai.

I LOVE Indian food... and this ain't it. I just moved here from Virginia where we had an amazing Indian food place just around the corner. Trying to find a new Indian place here in Virginia so we tried the Curry House based on Yelp reviews. This would be a case where you should not trust the reviews. The thing I oh so love about Indian food are the spices and flavors. Even if you get the non-spicy (hot) versions it is still going to be a flavor explosion in your mouth. This place is about as bland as they come. Started with the Buttery Chicken. This is normally one of my favorite dishes. The creamy blend of butter, tomato, spices... just magical. The stuff at the Curry House was really just tomato sauce. I'd not be surprised if you found jars of a basic tomato sauce in their back room. There was no flavor to it beyond some bland tomato. Next, the Chicken Tika Masala that seems to have gotten great reviews here. It was marginally better than the butter chicken. There was a bit more flavor to it, but not much. There was none of the layered spice flavors that have permeated all the other Indian food I have had. It was better than the tomato sauce chicken, but not by much. Finally, the naan. Arguably the best part of any meal with Indian food is the excuse to have that fluffy flat bread. Except when it is not fluffy, and rather dense. But if you get the garlic and cilantro stuff it will taste good right? No, not really. Once again, rather underwhelming in the taste category, even when you get the garlic stuff. I don't know what other reviewers are thinking, but I'm not planning on going there again. They are just a few minutes from my house, and I'll drive 15 or more minutes to the next closest place because this is just not worth it.

I have eaten in many Indian restaurants within Washington State and by far this is the best I have ever had. The Naan and butter chicken are to die for but bring your appetite the servings are very filling.

Really great Indian food. They had some of the authentic foods that I haven't been able to find at other places. The service is great and they all are super friendly. Don't let the location fool you. This is definitely worth stopping by.

this is it. this is the Rocky Balboa of Indian Restaurants. Curry Corner was sold and the owners opened up Curry House. The ambience is slightly lost with the new location but the food is just like it always was: amazing. and also, unlike Curry Corner, there is no awkward wait staff pushing refills on your drinks every 2 minutes...

Still one of the best curry houses around! This place is always clean friendly and best of all gluten free.. I react to very small amounts of gluten this place is safe never had a reaction.. Safe for celiac!

We stopped in on our trip north to Seattle to avoid rush hour traffic near Tacoma/Seattle. We love Indian and saw the good reviews. We were a little nonplussed with the location and ambiance. We have definitely encountered Indian restaurants in strip malls before, but often the interior decor is a little more ... ummm... decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful and for that, we can understand how they have a loyal customer base. We felt very welcomed and well taken care of during our visit. We ordered the cucumber, olive, tomato and lettuce salad (dressing on the side), vegetable pakora appetizer, Chicken Nirvana medium spicy and Chicken Korma mild. The salad was very large and the serving of dressing was more than adequate. My toddler happily ate the salad ingredients individually. The pakora was a small portion, and the sauces that it was served with were strangely (artificially) colored. But for the price, it was an adequate serving. I have had better pakora appetizers at other Indian restaurants though. (These had LOTS of chickpea flour and the vegetable selection was limited). We were a little confused that the dinner came with rice OR naan... usually dinner entrees are served with both. We ordered rice with one dish and a side of Naan (which was just one piece) to fill out the dinner. The chicken Nirvana was a standard curry - texture was a little "curdled/chunky" - instead a smooth texture like you get with a tikka masala or butter chicken. I wouldn't order it again. But it wasn't bad... just not my thing. My friend enjoyed her chicken korma, and it was pleasantly mild and creamy. Fit the bill. We just didn't understand how the Yelp reviews for this place were so high - as we would hardly rate it a 5-star experience.

Really good Indian food. Just had the lamb vindaloo which was excellent. In fact everything our party ordered was excellent (can't remember the names of dishes my friends ordered). I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Indian food. Cool place.

Great curry! We typically go to the other curry place just down the road, which is also fantastic, but we decided to try this one for dinner. Great service and great food! My sweet girl LOVED the Palak Paneer, flavor was great and had great texture and not too spicy for her! The only thing keeping it from 5 stars are the prices- a bit on the high side for dinner. We will be going back!

Wife and I came for dinner one night and was impressed of the amount of food you get. Loved the butter chicken. Service was very good and polite. Atmosphere not bad, basic. Overall would recommend this place to anyone who likes Indian food. Give it a gander.

Now that I have found Curry House, my cravings for Indian food are now satisfied. This gem in the South Sound is a bit hidden, but well worth the drive off the main road. The Chicken Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala are delicious, and I always order it with Garlic Naan. During lunch, their specials are cheap and they give you a lot, Be prepared to save some for the next meal!

I am delighted to see that over the last couple of months they have been getting steadily better, and much more consistent. The "extra hot" is still annoyingly inconsistent, but the quality of the food is high and remains so. The paratha have a really wonderful flavour, and while they're different to most paratha I've had (or made) by virtue of being quite thick, they're seriously enjoyable overall. The paratha are also absolutely fantastic eaten with the palak paneer, which has a similar sort of hearty, earthy, hearth-forged sort of taste, a robustness that just doesn't quit. The salty lassi is still the best in Olympia, if the plainest. Reminds me of a very well-chilled ayran as much as anything. I can't vouch for the meat dishes, but the carnivorous sort I've dragged yonder have claimed they're good, which I believe. The rice is also a highlight, as it used to be at Curry Corner. Simple, flavourful; holding the tension between understated and overstated, it simply makes its case. The rice at Sri's is more flavourful by virtue of more whole spices and whatnot being cooked-in, but I would hesitate to say that Sri's rice was better. The texture at Curry House is consistently-perfect, too. They've certainly found their footing, and are turning out good food. It's not very dumbed-down, but I do wish it were a little more aggressively-Punjabi and slightly less nondescript and unchallenging. I have no complaints about the food as it is, I just wish there were a greater variety of it to try, and a wider range of tastes and textures contained within. Which is a pretty good problem to have. No question that this is the best Indian restaurant in Thurston County outside of Tumwater, and the best Punjabi in Thurston County. Sri's is so sublime if you're eating the Andhra food, but if you want Punjabi, it has to be Curry House.

This was our first experience with Indian food. It was so so good. The staff is very help full. We told them to pick us an appetizer and pretty much let them pick our dinner, It was amazing! We went back 2 weeks later and brought friends who also loved it. We will be regulars!

I had heard a lot about this place and really wanted to like it. We had excellent service, but the food was not well spiced or full of flavor. I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants over the years and one thing I've really appreciated is the range of food I've experienced. Sadly, this was on the bland side. I might try it again, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Freaking delicious! Lamb Korma was amazing. Chicken Tikka Masala was just as good. Best Indian food I've had in a long time.

The dangerous part about this place is how close it is to where I live. Price was pretty hefty, but then again the food was absolutely worth it. Delicious Indian food that's local, comes with big servings and is served super quick. We were not there longer than about 10 mins before we received all of our food. The service was also very nice, she had good recommendations and checked up on us often. Worth your time and money and is small enough that it will never be too crowded.

Through other Yelpers and my own questions, I now know that the head chef of Curry Corner along with the friendliest wait staff at Curry Corner (head chef's wife, I believe?) are behind the new restaurant, Curry House. She was a standout while working at Curry Corner, and she brings her natural friendliness to the front of house at Curry House. I went in at an odd hour on a Sunday (early early dinner hour) and was the only customer, and felt right at home. She even recognized me from my frequent visits to Curry Corner. On to the meal! I ordered the vegetarian special, and it was very delicious. Navrattan Korma and Palak Paneer, with the most tender paneer I think I've ever had. This included a small side of Raita which was not salty at all, letting the yogurt do the talking, and was absolutely perfect. I have had some fairly salty orders of Raita at other places, so this was very refreshing. Also, the chai I love is back! The right amount of spices in there with the sweetness. Nectar of the gods on a cold, rainy, windy Sunday. The amounts of the two "mains" were heaping! Normally, I'm a quality over quantity guy, but if the quality is already good, more quantity does not hurt one bit. More grade-A takeaway. All in all, I have two complaints. One, I didn't starve myself all weekend in anticipation so I could have eaten more. And two, they chose Lacey instead of Tumwater, where I live and work. It's alright though. As the smallest violin plays just for me I will be making the drive out to Curry House in Lacey whenever I need my Indian fix, and it will be worth it! Curry House is great, folks. That's all there is to it. Customer service that leaves nothing wanting, and solid food with the flavors you crave. Now I just need to get hungry again so I can do some more menu exploration.

Best place I have been to in a long time. Home made, lots of it and the people that work there so nice. I'm not kidding when I say that the lunch special is such a good price that it will never last. In the special itself I got a huge serving of rice, flat bread, desert, soup, salad a vegetable dish of my choosing including a main curry dish. Wow! Enough to share but why? Bring a friend , get a couple dishes and try all their curry. it's amazing

What makes this place a standout is the juicy and tender meat. That and a mouth watering variety of stuffed naan. The kashmiri naan (raisins and nuts) is excellent. I'm looking forward to the chicken, cheese, and onion stuffed ones on the next visits.

I am liking this place! Visited with a friend a couple weeks ago- weeknight, close to closing time. There were about 3 folks working, all looking like family. Ordered the pakora, garlic naan and cheese stuffed naan, and 2 orders of chicken tikka masala at varying spice levels. Food arrived pretty fast, and was really good! I would recommend the pakora over the naan, and the garlic naan over the stuffed, but really it was all good. My only gripe is that when we asked for the check to be split it was done incorrectly and both my friend and I got overcharged. However we didn't notice until we were in the car and of course the restaurant was closed... so I'll pay better attention next time. Can't wait to visit again to get my fix :)

We have tried every Indian restaurant in Lacey and this one is the best. The portions are huge, the food is consistent and reliably good, and the flavors are always spot on. The house special is our favorite to get and it's enough food for two people, or one person to have a LOT of leftovers!

OMG!! I lived in Japan for years and have had very authentic curries while there. This place is amazing. The staff is super friendly. But with food this amazing, who cares?! There could be more nann with the curry :) but that's because it's amazing!

The food was great and the people friendly - as soon as we walked in we were seated even though it was 6:00 on a Friday night! Which isn't to say it wasn't busy. Its not a large restaurant, but pretty full so I'm guessing its getting more popular! After we looked at the menu, we were asked what we wanted to drink and the nice lady (I'm guessing she is a manager or owner) suggested chai, which we both had and it was delicious!!! And pretty inexpensive at only 1.25! I ordered the okra in curry sauce (I forgot the specific name now... Sorry!) and my husband, who had never had any sort of Indian food, ordered the Butter chicken, both at medium spiciness. I think both dishes were around $10 together and came with rice or naan. We also got cheese naan. The dishes came out within 10 or so minutes and with a lot of lightly seasoned rice. Overall, it was really delicious. The okra and veggies were all crunchy and flavourful, while the butter chicken had a lot of meat in it (which my husband liked) and wasn't too sweet. As far as the spiciness goes, I didn't find it spicy at all so I would probably go up next time. It sounds like its a little bit unpredictable when it comes to the spicy system, so maybe that factors in. There was a ton of food also, so we both ended up taking about half of our portion home to eat for later (awesome lunch!!!!). The total bill was about 30 with tip, which was worth it since we had a lunch the next day. This restaurant made my husband an Indian food fan and so I think its definitely worth the while if you are craving it. While I am no expert on food, I would recommend it as well. I thought it was awesome and the service is great! The people who served us were really nice and helpful, which makes me want to go back even more. Highly recommended! :)

Both times we've eaten there our dinners were outstanding. We had pakora, saag, and curry. They offer three levels of spice and four levels of heat. Portions were large, so we had lunch for the next day. Highly recommend.

Rates a zero in the decor and ambiance department but damn, the food is good and the people who work there are very sweet, helpful, and accommodating. Love the Butter Chicken. Love the Lamb Korma. (Love Korma anything!) Love the Tikka Masala, and more. And you can't beat the lunch special. It's a huge institutional metal platter with compartments full to over flowing with your choice of a meat curry, a vegetable curry, a vegetable dish, daal (lentils), and a classic soupy Indian rice pudding. I'm not big on the daal and love the rice pudding so, for me, they skip the daal and give me extra pudding. I've learned to eat half of what is put before me and take the rest home for later. (Thanks to Nhoj K. for letting me know that the original Curry Corner folks now run Curry House! It all makes sense now.) I'd give it 5 stars if the ambiance wasn't quite so . . . . sterile .

I love this place! Price is just right and the portions are huge! Your meal also comes with some yummy tasting Naan.I love the chicken tiki masala( I think that is how you spell it) love the eggplant veg side!! Scrumptious and yummy! It keeps me coming back for more. If you have never tried Indian Cuisine this is the place to go. Staff friendly:) love love!

If I could give them 6 stars I would. I LOVE Indian food (one of my faves) but the choices around here although yummy, are kind of dirty. I just opened my Century 21 Link Real Estate office across the street. For lunch I thought I would try Curry House. Ummmmm, are you kidding? I think I found a bit of heaven. It is inexpensive, they serve huge portions, clean, delicious food (I am a vegetarian and the choices for a vegetarian are more than I think I have ever seen) and they are super friendly. I was so happy I found this place. If you like Indian food as much as I do then run, don't walk over to CURRY HOUSE!!!

I'm so thankful I found this place! I can easily become a regular. Big portions, friendly service, clean, and most importantly, the food is amazing! I came here with my mom & sister. We each ordered something different so we could share. The chicken Tikka Masala was my favorite. The samosas are also fantastic. The naan was fresh & just perfect. Love this place!

I have been waiting. This place is a little out of the way for me, but I will gladly make the drive any day of the week. I first went here three days ago and I've already had to go back again. So far I've had the Mixed Grill (lamb kabab, lamb sausage, chicken tandoori and fish tandoori), Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer and Raita. The meats are all tender and perfectly spiced. The rice is delicately flavored with saffron. The paneer melts in your mouth and its sauce was creamy and wonderful. A lovely chai came with our meal- I want the recipe. I also ordered the papadum (light and crispy, as it should be) and a mango lassi, which was delicious. The waitstaff are prompt and sweet and we got our meal within ten-fifteen minutes of ordering. When I got takeout today, I told the woman I was allergic to wheat and she promptly took the Naan out of the bag and replaced it with an extra order of rice free of charge. I'm a ravenous meat eater, but I did notice that half of their menu caters to vegetarian/vegan diners and they have a wide variety of options (I hear their bhartha is divine, I'll have to try it next time). Portions are generous, plenty for midnight leftovers. I can't praise this place enough. Love, love love!

The ambiance is not what I expected. The food was WAY TOO much, it was tasty, but the volume of food was so great that it took away ones appetite. We asked for a cup of hot water to drink and were given a tall glass with hot water. Sort of odd. Don't think I would go back again. The Naan was fantastic.

This was my first time trying Indian food, and I was really impressed! We were a party of four. The aromatic scents wafting through the place as we entered through the door was very enticing! The menu is extensive, detailed, and food is reasonably priced. We ordered: assorted non-veggie appetizer that consisted of chicken, fish, & lamb tikka, and kebab. The flavorful tender meat sat on top of grilled caramelized onions with a little green pepper. The chicken soup was mildly spicy curried broth with generous chicken pieces and vegetables. The garlic naan (flatbread cooked in a tandoor oven) was colorful, flavorful, and lightly crispy. I also had katchumber salad which consisted of chopped iceberg, tomatoes, olives, and cucumber. I expected a choice of Indian dressings, but I was offered house ranch on the side. One of us had mushroom masala which was fresh mushrooms cooked with onions & spices; it looked & smelled really good. One of us had plain rice, which was aromatic basmati white rice. The service is excellent, atmosphere is quaint, dining room is just the right size, and the location is convenient. I will definitely be having more Indian food in the near future until I have tried just about every dish!

The restaurant is new so as expected everything was in pristine condition. The walls were freshly painted and the wait staff were very attentive. The prices are a lil higher than Curry Corner down the road but at least the food lived up to the price. We ordered Garlic Naan, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Masala, and Chicken Vindaloo were all excellent! The protions were large which meant plenty for lunch the following day.

Simply wonderful Indian food whether, vegetarian or carnivor. Several group dining experiences, allowing a wide range of tasting has made this our #1 choice for Indian. The chef and his wife are sole owners (past partners at Curry Corners) of Curry House and pride of ownership and their enthusiasm show. Lunch is a great deal with leftovers a possibility. Try hard to find favorities--Aloo Chat and Kashmiri Naan. If you are new to Indian and want a sure winner go with Korma, your choice of meats.

Honestly, I've never eaten inside. I've only ever ordered take out. The food is AMAZING! The best Indian food I've tasted here in Thurston County. Of course, we of Thurston County aren't blessed with many high end Indian food places, so of course, I've had better, but it's still delicious and the best in the area. I can't speak about the service except to say that they're polite over the phone when I order and my husband says they are nice in person, too, when he picks up the order. My favorite things to order here are the Vegetable Korma, the Chicken Tikka Masala, the Butter Chicken, the lamb curry and the naan.

The food was very good. The service, not so much. Right from the beginning our waitress seemed bothered by us being there. My wife asked questions about the food and she would just reply, "It says on the menu" several times adamantly but the menu did not answer her question. We had to tell her several times that the menu does not have the answer to her questions. We got our food in a timely manner but towards the end of the meal our waitress came back and asked us if we are done because another customer needs the table. This is the first time we have ever been rushed out of a restaurant. Although the food was great we will not be returning due to the poor service.

I used to think I didn't like curry... But I've figured out, I just only like good curry. This is good curry. I got the lunch special and it was very generous. Lamb curry is very good. This place should get 4.75 stars... The deduction taken off only because they don't have good English descriptions of the food, so I had to ask many questions to be clear about what I was ordering.

This is our favorite Indian Restaurant in the area. I love the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. It is creamy and delicious. We also get the butter chicken. Also very yummy. We sometime get the vegetarian curry house special and the meat special. They provide a great variety and allow you to figure out what you like the most. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is very clean. We go here regularly.

I'm a newbie when it comes to Indian food. I ordered the chicken tikka marsala with vegetable korma, and vegetable samosas. The first thing that came out was the vegetable samosas. They were so good!!! I could eat these all day. I added some of the spicy sauce with it too. The chicken tikka marsala was a little sweet compared to what I've tried at different restaurants, not sure it that's normal. The plus is that it was a huge portion! I took most of my food home. The naan seemed to be a little bit burned. The service here was just ok. It took them awhile to take our order because they assumed we wanted to wait till our whole party showed up. Also, we had to ask them for our checks after being done for awhile. Don't know if I would come back here, but I will try Indian food again.

The lunch special is everything. Like other reviewers have commented, Curry House has an amazing lunch special. Their lunchtime is generous (11a-2.30p, Mon-Sat) and the cost is about $8. You select an entree and a veggie side to go with a generous portion of basmati rice, two more savory/veggie sides, naan, and a dessert (the donut soaked in simple syrup). The food comes out on a metal tray and it's a LOT of food. It's really two people food because we only ate about half before packing the rest up for later. But the food was good. The sauces for each dish were good and spicy (I asked for a very spicy spice level). The lamb was tender. We didn't really know what this one yogurt side was, but it was savory. Their daal is excellent! I asked for a hot chai which was perfectly spiced and sweetened. I didn't get a refill nor did I ask for one, I would be curious if there is a charge for refills however. Service wise, we were taken care of quickly in the beginning until the food was dropped off, and after that we didn't really receive any more attention from the servers. This was mostly ok but when it had been several minutes since we stopped eating, someone should have come by earlier. They were pretty full during lunch time, including a large party, so this can explain the lapse in service. Ambiance wise, the place is bare bones. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and so the only windows/natural light are found at the front of the restaurant. The restaurant is one room that may seat about 40 people. There is a shelf of ingredients one can purchase for their home cooking next to the register and a decorative curtain shielding where the restroom is. Otherwise there is not much by way of decorations. But since the food is good and a good value, I would return. Thank you!

Hot, fresh, tasty, spicy, aromatic; a total feast! Bring your hunger game. We had the butter chicken, chicken Tikka Masala, a side of veggie samosas and a large mango Lassi. Their meals are served on large metallic trays that separate the portions. In the middle is a large pile of rice. The fresh naan comes on a side plate too. Bring your friends. There will be plenty to enjoy and share.

We are new to the area and wanted some Indian food. We weren't sure what expect. It's a very small place but they have a lot to offer. The food was great and hit the spot go our Indian craving. They also sell some groceries there so if you want to make some Indian dishes at home....

I came here the other day for takeout and was not disappointed. At all. I've been a Curry Corner regular for years and I heard that this had the same chef and some of the same staff as Curry Corner had before it was bought by another owner. They had the same great lunch specials as Curry Corner. And mine was cooked to perfection. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Eggplant. It was the best Indian I've had in awhile. It tasted like Curry Corner but on a really good day. I think I tasted more cinnamon or something in the spices. I ordered it spicy, and it was fairly spicy and deliciously flavorful. The last times I've had the eggplant at Curry Corner, it was a little disappointing, but it was spot on at Curry House. I'll be going here from now on for my Indian needs. I hope Lacey can support both delicious Indian restaurants on Martin because they are both excellent. With the chef at Curry House though, they'll likely be getting my business.

went in Friday night with my family. got the Mixed Grill. the meats were so overcooked, dry, and chewy, it must have been left overs from lunch. the 'green peppers and onions' were nothing but onions - not a speck of green pepper to be found - and dripping in so much oil you could have poured it from the plate. the Tandori chicken was just as bad - overcooked (honestly - it truely seemed like lunch or previous days left-overs). the Paratha was undercooked on the inside and burnt on the outside. i dont know where those of you who gave this place 4 or 5 stars have eaten before - obviously not where good Indian food is served. my advice is to steer as far clear as possible from this place.
