This place is the best! The price can't be beat and it is way better than Taco Bell or other fast food. The service is great and the food comes out fast. Also, the manager is super nice.

The best food $5 can buy. The dollar menu here puts all Other fast food places menus to shame. Hand shredded cheddar. You know it's real. Slow cooked beans. Fresh is best. Awesome chicken n fish tacos. Don't forget dessert. Fresh baked churro only a dollar. Yummy

This is a fantastic Del! And the closest one to Seattle. In a large shopping center parking lot, the restaurant and surroundings are always clean. The food is always made well, and is hot and fresh. The staff works hard and efficiently and is nice albeit a little reserved, which is fine. And to the manager (I think) that told me my quesadilla would be too messy if I added chipotle sauce to it: just make what I order without the commentary. I'm a professional. Overall a great Del! 4/5 mild sauces.

Warning. Don't order the fish tacos if they only have two soggy little fish fillets left. Unless you are into soggy. The people were nice, the place was clean. I've ordered the fish tacos from three other stores and each time they toasted them in their little oven. The texture of a hot crispy fillet was outstanding with their fresh squeezed lime, cabbage, and white sauce. Apparently, that isn't how it is done here. To give credit where credit is due - the refried beans and Spanish rice were great. The Dr . Pepper was superb. Stay away from the fish tacos here.

Have always LOVED Del Taco !!!! Really nice location ! We would LOVE to have one closed to FT Lewis !!!!!!!!!!! By the way , this place offers a Military discount . Nice touch. Keep up the great work Del Taco.

One of the few fast food joints left where I actually don't feel ripped off when leaving. The burritos are always packed and heavy. For a fast food restaurant some of the items taste fresh. Taco bell take notes, In fact every fast food store needs to take notes from a Del taco. I wish there was more locations up here in WA state. I sometimes hit this place up when I am going through Federal way. I recommend this place if you are just looking for fast food like something edible other than taco bell. This place hangs with Taco time quality for taco bell prices.

The food gave me food poisoning! A few hours later and I was stuck in the bathroom for hours, not even taco bell does this to me.

A California Transplant in Federal way. Way better than Taco Bell by a 100 degrees! Big variety. Clean facility. Good Americanized Mexican fast food. Not authentic but good enough. Friendly staff.

The service and the food has slid downhill a bit. I still like going here once in awhile, but the last few visits have been a disappointment with the most recent one a bomb. With only 3 cars ahead of me in the drive thru, it took 15 minutes to get to the pick up window and another 5 minutes for my food. The team leader was working the drive thru, and he apologized for the wait. I got the epic steak and guac burrito, and half of it was old french fries stuffed inside. Gross. I looked up the menu online and saw that fries are supposed to come with it, but not be half of the burrito and obviously not old, cold ones. It was also supposed to have sour cream which it didn't have. The people that worked here use to be friendly and fast. The friendliness is also gone. Food: 2 Service: 2 Parking: 4 Ambiance: NA

Wife wanted a Turkey Taco, so got her one and looked at the menu, even if you dont care much for Mexican food, this place does have some stuff on the menu that those that cant/dont eat Mexican food can eat, they have hamburgers here and good selection of desert stuff. The service here is REAL good, and was very much pleased with it., like KFC/Long John Silvers it is in the Walmart parking lot, so its busy- but also easy to get in and out of.

I wish there were more in Washington! I enjoy taking my son and husband to sample some of what I had all the time growing up in SoCal. Always fast and hot, I like the chicken soft tacos and their fries are some of my favorites! The variety is great and I love the fact they have Cherry Coke the most!

Good tasting food for cheap! Love this place is a good deal overall. The only thing in always disappointed in is the service, there are always a lot of people working but they are slow. The food more than makes up for the the service.

Seriously I love del taco. I lived in San Diego and was right down the street so naturally I went all the time. My friend has lived in Washington for over a year and never knew there was A Del Taco here, so I made them drive to federal way to see for them selves. Amanda made our del taco mission absolutely perfect, I can't thank her enough for how awesome she was to us. The whole staff was great, the food was on point and amazing. Thanks again Amanda and del taco for that perfect experience and tacos. -neal2times

The food is cheap and tasted pretty good compared to some other fast food chains. Mini cheese quesadilla: hot and crispy and cheesy. Only 50 cents! Jalapeño and potato poppers: crispy, a little cheesy, hint of jalapeño flavor, yum. Strawberry lemonade: tasty with real but probably pre frozen strawberries. Regular taco: its ok. I like taco bell better Overall if I am in the neighborhood and we want something quick we will come here or if my daughter is craving mini quesadillas.

I was really craving something Mexican without going over budget. I figured I'd give this place a try. It's not on the same level as a Chipotle but it's miles better than a taco bell. I ordered the Epic Cali Steak and Guac burrito and it filled me up pretty good. I'll definitely need to stop by this place more often

So growing up in Southern Cali there were Del Taco everywhere. I didn't even know there was one in WA! I really love the Grilled Chicken Soft Taco! Been years since I had them in California, and it's still so good! Cheap and good. Can't go wrong with $1.00, ( I remember it was only $.69 back in 98). My wife never had them before and she loves it too! The del taco in federal way is clean, all the sauces are organized and full. The staffs are nice and polite. Very good experience here. Just too bad that I live 45 min away.

I want to give a 5 Star, but every single time the fries are just 'blonde', meaning, under cooked.....I just wish they'd add an extra minute on the fries since this is their main side. (suggested to ask for the fries to be cooked longer) Otherwise, OMG the burgers, YES, burgers are amazing! I also love their Tacos al Carbon yum!!! Portions are also on point!

Some of the best food around. My boyfriend and I drive all the way from Bellevue once a week to eat some yummy Del Taco. The staff is always friendly and we never find anything wrong with our food. It's a major plus that the food is so inexpensive, especially in this area. We stuff our faces for about $11. We only wish they would bring a Del Taco to the Eastside! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We bring all of our friends and family here when they visit from out of town! Great place =]

This location is very poorly managed. I love the food, but it is one of the worst organized operations I have ever seem. Just today at 12:30 (lunch time) one employee is on break and eating in the dining room while the manager is in the office. What are that thinking ! The drive thu is backed up , there is 6 people waiting for food and a line waiting to order. At one time the only person with food in the dining room was the employee on break.

I am for sure a fan of Del Taco, admittedly I am so a late bloomer of my recent discovery of deliciousness here but hey better late than never I guess. Their food is very tasty and the price is just right in my opinion and its something different than your typical Taco Bell or Taco Time (I don't mind Taco Time, its just they are so expensive!).. I also like the fact that you can get other food items too such as cheeseburgers and such, but to be honest I haven't had the need to try them cuz their tacos and burritos have been my go-to choices here. Oh yeah, their fries are pretty good too!

  • Eric R.

Child hood memories abound when I go to this place. The food is super cheap and after a bender it's easy to keep down ;) I think the ingredients might be a bit more fresh here as opposed to Taco Bell. However, not quite as fresh as Taco Time. I think Taco Time is pretty spendy for being not much better than Del Taco. ... In my head folks that makes sense. Anyway, I hope we get more of these in the area... The only ones I know of are in Spokane and Federal Way.

  • Nunya B.

Yum! Cheap and awesome. They don't get a five star review because every time I go in I have to clean my own table and the wait is pretty long but the food is great and staff is surprisingly friendly.

    (4)
  • Christopher H.

This place gets only 2 stars cause it open 24hrs. The food was cold. I was first in line at 6am and took like 10 min to get my order. So long wait for cold food except the fries. The fries are crinkle cut lightly salted, WTF this is supposed to be a Mexican restaurant why crinkle fries need to be mexi fries or at least use mexi fry seasoning on them. It feed me i. A pinch but think this the first and last time. Weird to see so may positive reviews of this place. But to each their own right.

    (2)

I've only had the fish tacos and a couple different boritos so I can't give a comprehensive review. From what I've had though I wish I lived next door. Amazing!

As SoCal natives, we were ECSTATIC when we heard about this Del Taco. This might just be the cleanest Del Taco we've ever been to LOL. Great, consistent, and a hundred times better than Taco Time.

  • Rob C.

This is one of the best Del Taco locations I have ever frequented. I am a Southern California native, (where Del Taco is on every other city block) and where I grew up enjoying Del Taco. It is my favorite fast food joint. I have recently moved here to Washington. I consider myself extremely lucky to have this excellent Del Taco here. It is definitely worth the drive from Everett. The food is always hot and fresh. This location has yet to disappoint. Please do yourself a huge favor and give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

    (5)
  • Glenn P.

I believe this is the most northern Del Taco, closest to Seattle. In general, Del Taco has the best mexican-style fast food, with burgers and fries! I think they struggle because people don't recognize the name, and don't want to be further disappointed because they've eaten at Taco Hell (Bell) or Taco Slime (Time). Minus 1 star because they mess up my order from time to time, and minus another because they seem to switch managers every 3 months or so.

    (3)
  • Todd Ø.

I wanted to like this place, and I've been here several times while passing through the area, but the last time was just that, the last. Every time I've been here lately the food has been made wrong or was missing something. I ordered one of those new epic burritos and it was mostly beans with barely any rice-they didn't add any cheese or sour cream and there was a TINY dab of what I think was guac. The rubber chicken tacos had lettuce in them and no sour cream, so it is not a coincidence-they're simply not adding ingredients that are supposed to be in the menu items, ostensibly to save money. I think Del Taco itself is pretty good for what it is, but this location is utter shit.

    (1)
  • Clover A.

Okay, yes, it's cheap. And some of the menu items (I CAN HAS FRIES WITH TACOS?) are fun But uh, my husband was sick for the rest of the day after his meal and while the guy who made my milkshake was really nice (and the shake was, I admit, delicious) this place is like a little neon-cactus hell everytime I come in. I just can't do it, guys. No Del Taco for me. I'm done.

  • Jocelyn P.

Went thru this morning. No cars in front of me, took 10 minutes for an order of half cooked mushy fries. I had to wait about 3 minutes at the speaker box to order. When I got to the window I was ignored for about another 3 minutes. I asked for a handful of ketchup and was given 3 in the bag. I sat and waited another 3 or 4 minutes for her to come back to the window so I could get more ketchup. She just looked and me and ignored me. Finally a guy came to the window and said that she said I needed something and for him to come to the window to see what is was. I asked him if it always took 10 minutes to get just an order of fries, he said no. Not even a sorry. Then I finally got the ketchup and left only to find out my fries were half cooked mushy fries. By the way when your done cleaning the garbage in the parking lot maybe next time you could wash your hands before serving the customers.

We were so glad to see WA had a del taco here. So whenever were around the area and want americanized mexican fast food we come here, when compared to taco bell, del taco wins hands down!

I love Del Taco and was thrilled to discover there is ONE in the state of Washington and it's near me now. Their green burrito is delicious - especially if you add lettuce and tomato to it. My whole family loves this!

Having never been to a Del Taco before, I decided to stop at this one to see what they are all about. While value is definitely the selling point here, the food isn't any better than Taco Bell and I barely consider that to be actual food. I was aware that this would be about the quality to expect so I wasn't disappointed in any way, I just felt I should give them a try My drive-through experience was pleasant enough as the menus were easy to read even with such a wide variety of items and combos to choose from. My order taker/cashier was very friendly which was a nice treat considering I was here somewhere close to 11:00pm. I can honestly say I have no desire to ever return but that's mainly just because I value the remaining years that I have left and will spend that time consuming meals that consist of mostly identifiable ingredients.

  • Brad H.

My experience at this Del Taco was overall good. The location looks to be modern and maintenance wise well cared for. Reviewing comments, I see mention of cleaniness. During my visit, I did not see this. I have a feeling this location gets abused alot by its guests, which was apparent for my visit, and in any shop when this happens, it can be almost impossible for the staff to keep up. The food was good quality, the prices were competitive and the service was acceptable (for being fast food). I would return here again, but would prefer if location wise it was in a different location. Being in a Walmart Parking lot really does not help this location thrive.

  • Arthur K.

Being a regular visitor to SoCal, it's nice to have a Del Taco nearby. I really like their original chicken burritos as they have a nice juicy texture and their sauce is really good. Not a huge fan of their fries, but that's not why I'm there. I usually just stick with the chicken burritos.

  • John P.

We eat here for breakfast often. We know we can't come between 6 and 6:30am cuz the computers are usually down. We went at 6:45 today and Brian took our order and told us to come to the window for our total. He greets us at the window and ends up giving us our meal cuz the computers never came back. The food is always good and fresh and the service is usually good...today it was great.

  • Rebecca S.

Nasty. I think they buy cans of cat food and stick it in their tacos. And their fries are the leftover fries from elementary school cafeterias. I asked for spicy hot sauce and received ten packets of mild only. Never again.

The only thing that I don't like is that it's further away from me since I don't live in Federal Way. I wish they would build more of them close to me. They have been impressing me a lot more lately. First they reduced the price of their chicken soft tacos 30%. Then they added more flavors (they added ranch and chipotle; chipotle is my new favorite chicken soft taco). Most of the time the people that work there have been friendly to me, keep a clean establishment and have had timely service. It truly is a treat for me to drive from Renton to Federal Way since I've missed del taco since I moved up here from California. Definitely a two thumbs up.

  • Link P.

OK, well the food is fine, the staff seems to be very disorganized. The worse part of the place is, it was very messy. 6 or 7 tables dirty and not attended to, the entire time I was there. Peek lunch hour, you would think they would have stayed on top of it. People were having to search around for a clean table. I just changed my two star rating to one. Cleanliness is critical at a food place.

Went on Sunday after a day of fun at Wild Waves. The food was great, as usual. The last time I went, the place was really dirty. This time, it was much better. Clean bathroom, clean dinning area, etc. Much better. The kids loved their churros too!

  • Yen E.

I love you chicken soft taco! And carne asada taco. Wish it wasn't so far from me, but it's definitely worth the drive! Also, they are REALLY cheap with their limes! Most of the time, they are so tiny, old and dry.

  • Pre G.

This was my first and probably my last time eating food from here. If I could give this place a zero star rating I would. I got the nacho meal and it sucked big time. The nachos were stale the meat was gross and it looked worse than dog food. I mean it's fast food not rocket science, how hard is it to make it right? I'm not gonna write off all Del Taco's but I'm never going back to this one again. Hell the only reason I went tonight was because Taco Bell was already closed. Guess next time I'll just go without.

  • Shannon M.

I LOVE Del Taco and this location has been one of our late night stops since they opened. Usually we get good, hot food with no problems. Our last visit we went through at 1am (we work over night) and were told that there was a 30 min wait for any meat... The explanation that followed was that they had to re-cook all the meat and could only serve beans. This brought up some questions... Why did they have to re-cook ALL the meat? Did they let it all set out too long? Was it cross contaminated in some way? Did someone not use gloves, or think it's funny to put some sort of body fluid into the food? I called and complained to corporate about the issue and the management but never heard back. There are times that we spend $50-$200 a month in fast food, mostly at Del Taco and Panda Express, guess they didn't care that much. So after that little issue, we don't go there anymore. Just too creepy.

Love me some Del Taco. Being a Cali transplant of 16 years, I always look forward to when I need to go to Federal Way. DEL TACO TIME. I love the tacos al carbon. I usually get the steak and it is sooo good. What other place do you know that you can get tacos and fry's all in the same combo?! I wish they would put more locations.

  • Paul B.

Sooooo trashy. But I love it. Growing up in that Las Vegas/Southern California lifestyle, I grew was raised on this stuff -- so bad. I always get a #4. Substitute the regular fries for chili cheese fries. DEAR GOD. So bad. But so good. Don't expect anything spectacular from this place. Just expect cheap, trashy fast food. When I was in Federal Way recently, I made it a point to go out of my way to come. I don't know why I was so addicted. But, honestly, this shii hit the spot. THROW ASIDE YOUR HIGH BROW SEATTLE FOODIE ATTITUDE FOR A QUICK MINUTE AND EAT HERE FOR GOODNESS SAKE!

Del Tacos are all over the place in Cali, but up in WA there are only (5). My bro has a spidey sense for Del Taco, so when we drove by one on the way to Fife, it was on. I must admit they have some pretty tasty soft chicken tacos; the chicken was spicy in just the right way. If only there were more DTs in the PNW!

Del Taco is like an old and very good friend. I hope it is the first of many to come up this way. Although it is a chain fast food place it is one that I always enjoyed and it made my wife very happy to see arrive. From the basic crunchy tacos, the bean burritos all the way to the chili fries, it is just good fast comfort food. They have added quite a few things to their menu, even have a fairly decent value menu. If you have not tried it yet, it is worth a stop in Federal Way.

Del Taco is THE scuzziest place around. Why waste your money on a chain like this that CANNOT keep clean? I have spoken with the Corpo office, the PR company, the Manager of the store. They all nod their head and say "We'll fix the problem." We used to frequent this place bi-weekly. I have refused to return after being snubbed for the last time. Let's put it this way folks, times are tough right? How could anyone afford to keep a dirty restaurant? How do you like sitting in someone else's taco droppings, using a highchair for your child that looks worse each time. Something happened with this place. They had a manger there a year ago who was courteous, attentive, and ran a tight ship. The current manager is spineless, allows the employees to just stand around, hired a kid to wave a sign out front, had a dirty parking lot, refuses to unlock the door to the outside patio and is just flat out lame! On top of that, the food is horrendous. Poorly cooked meat, undercarbonated beverages, sloppy preparation of foods. Sure, you get what you pay for. Taco trucks are cleaner than this place, hell construction sites I work on are more sanitary than Del Taco. I give this place a year and it will close.

It's not typical of me to review fast food, or major chains, but I feel obligated to do so here! Plus, this is the only Del Taco I know of in the Seattle-Tacoma area. Make no mistake, this is no gourmet, or authentic Mexican food, but a convenient, and pretty tasty fast food variant of such. Essentially, it's a higher quality alternative to Taco Bell. It's also pretty cool to be able to get some fish tacos, or a side of fries w/whatever burrito I feel like ordering. Plus the hot sauce here is actually pretty spicy (Del Inferno ftw!). On top of all this, it's open 24/7. Overall, cheap fast food done right is certainly worthy of a 3-star rating, and it's nice to have one of these around.

I had high expectations for the place loved us very bad taste in my mouth. After attempting to eat here several times every time I left with food I did not order. That order did not have the food on hand. The ingredients are not bad but for me I did not like the beans they serve there. Nor anything else they offered. After trying several items on the menu I gave up looking for something that was edible. Me and the wife agree there...value inspired menu was still not worth coming back. Try taco del mar or the puerto vallarta down the street.

As a native Californian who eats Del Taco on a regular basis, I must say that this one meets my expectations. Everything tastes as good as expected. And. my food was prerpared in a timely manner. I drove 25 miles for my meal...definitelt worth the gas money.

Del Taco brings back some So-Cal memories. Its nice that we have one now in WA. Its Located near the Super Walmart in Federal way. The food isn't that bad...Interesting mixed reviews so far. Check out DelTaco.com for some of their menu choices to see if it will be worth your time to drive to Federal way. 24hr Drive thru for all your Del Taco needs. Its better than Taco Bell, but I still like Chipotle a little bit better.

*throws one out to my So Cal peeps* Del Taco, the home of MANY a drunken stop during my time in California. Often times I would wake up with some krinkle fries in my purse. Don't judge. One bite of the bean burrito and green sauce took me back to those days of my youth. For that, I say thank you. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the deuce I found in the ladies room toilet. Flush that shit ladies. Literally.

Ok, time for me to be a villian. I did not like this place. I came here a few months back and had the Tacos del Carbon and felt they were a bad imitation of a taco truck taco. But, I hear so much praise I had to try it again. Tonight I had the number 8, which was two Big Fat Tacos and a small fry. Tacos in a pita is not a hit with me, and I am not quite sure what zesty ancho chili sauce is but it didn't taste good to me. I am willing to try it one more time because I am assuming I am ordering the wrong things. If I am, please let me know whats good. Oh yeah, tacos and fries are weird together. And, why did they give me 30 packets of Beyond Hot Sauce? Zipzap Zubidy Bop!

Yuck! I didn't like this place at all. I tried it because of the wonderful Yelp reviews and was VERY disappointed. The good--the restaurant is new and very clean. The decor is a bit bright, almost as if the primary colors in a box of Crayolas decided to come here and party. Restrooms were clean and had plenty of soap. Service was friendly and prompt. The bad--food was TERRIBLE. Barely a step over Taco Bell and it costs more without an incremental difference in quality. We ordered the Spicy Chicken burrito, Deluxe Chili Fries, Macho Beef burrito, and a Chicken Soft taco. I had at least a bite of each and was disappointed in everything. The Chili Fries were barely lukewarm in temperature and the fries themselves resembled partially defrosted, LIMP Ore-Ida crinkle cuts. Chicken in the burrito and taco tasted overly processed and left a weird aftertaste. The Macho Beef burrito was the best of the bunch, but the tortilla it was wrapped in tasted STALE. I'm sorry that I ever went here. Yuck.

sound the trumpets!!! DEL TACO IS IN WASHINGTON!!! WOO HOO!!! My b-friend and I went to the new super walmart in federal way (because they were the only one open at 11:30pm) and found out that a del taco opened. i almost died. I love their del classic burrito. soooo good. Del taco always reminds me of finals/midterm food and my good ol' alma mater in California. it gives me a reason to go to federal way like.. almost day now. omg.

I've been to Del Taco twice. They are way over priced and the food is not very enjoyable. Their nachos are worse than 7-11s, the fries are plain frozen ore-ida fries you can buy in the grocery store, the tacos are of poor quality...but expensive. Another reviewer wrote: "it's even better when you're drunk". Del Taco leaves me longing for Taco Bell. Skip Del Taco and head to the border - There is a Taco Bell around the corner from this Del Taco. TB is a cheaper alternative and has better quality cheap mexican food which is way better when you have the munchies.....

Sooo into this place. I wish it was closer. Neil introduced me to their chicken tacos...freakin DE-LIC-IOUS. Skip the breakfast burritos as they are solidly average stick to what they do great....chicken tacos chicken tacos with a side of....chicken tacos.

You from So-Cal? Well, hot damn, here ya' go. A yummy yummy 35-minute drive away....Del F%&@ing Taco!!!!!!!!!!!! Chicken soft tacos, supreme chili cheese fries, green burritos....ah man. Makes me feel whole again. Too bad there isn't one a bit closer...it's even better when you're drunk.

This place is great their crinkle fries are really good and so is there chicken soft tacos. I've been here quite a few times and each time I've been satisfied. Oh and their iced coffee is only $1 and it is so good. The coffee is different from other fast food places.

I live in the U-district., what was I doing all the way out in Federal Way? Well, I was actually there for a friend's birthday. I was feeling kinda sick and hadn't slept the night before, so I almost skipped out on the bday. But then my friend Joey mentioned the possibility of hitting up Del Taco. Now this Joey character is a self-proclaimed non-foodie, which I would agree for the most part. But he likes my cooking, so I give him a little bit of credit for that. He is also the biggest fan of Del Taco I know and have always been talking about it, praising its name. He and his bandmates always talk about their tour stories, in which Del Taco always plays an important role. Being the biggest taco truck patron and supporter, I've always doubted him, dismissing it as just one of those "mexican" fast food joints. But then 4/20 (not that the date is any relevant to this story..at all) came around, and we all went there, Joey and his bandmates. They pretty much just ordered for everybody. So I got to try their [1] Crispy Fish Taco on the flatbread (called the Big Fat Taco). __ First bite/ plain, no additional sauce/ I thought it was pretty good, the fish was tasty, the warm pita-like bread was interesting. It makes you doubt and question yourself, Is this Pita or Taco? Ambiguous. __Second bite/ added sauce: DEL INFERNO / WHAM! This bite hit me like a lighter inside my mouth. Burnnn. But I loves me spicy food, so this was a good thing. It was a good kind of spicy too. __Third bite/ added sauce: DEL SCORCHO / a little bit more mild, tangier, smokier. Definitely more flavor, but not as hot. __ Last bite/ DEL SCORCHO combined with INFERNO / This was the Ultimate Doubleteam action. I thought it was super good. [2] Second up was the Cheese Quesadilla. Same type of deal where I tried each sauce. It was just OK, not bad, not memorable. Good side-dish. [3] CHURRO. Yes, a mothafrikkin CHURRO. I hadn't had one since the back in the days of my highschool cafeteria lunch break. I used to loooove them churros, too. I went all nuts cause it really just took me back to my younger days. They're just as I remembered them. I don't think I know what sets a good churro apart from a bad one. It's mostly a texture thing with me, as long as it's not burnt or uncooked, a churro is always good. And Del Taco's rendition of this ole favorite did not disappoint. I was afraid it would be too sweet, but theirs was just lightly sugared, lots of cinnamon. And we at all this on the hood of Joey's truck, 3 AM under the moonlight, counting stars, admiring the wonders of the universe. OK, no we didn't do any of that. We just stuffed our faces, probably with the occasional accents of burps and farts here and there. Disgusting, I know. Overall, Del Taco was a great experience. Not only did it come with so much hype buildup by my friends, but also my own negative preconceptions. Yet it still delivered and did not let me down. Del Taco is definitely more of an experience. You can find better Mexican food elsewhere, maybe even cheaper. Those taco trucks are always a good deal, and you feel like REAL people make them: the actual owners of the trucks. But Del Taco has the feeling of being an oasis for touring musicians on the road looking for something better than the greasy burgers or ground mystery-meat tacos served up by the other fast food joints. Only wish there was one closer to home, but then again it might ruin that image for me of being them a road-food, since we actually have to travel there.

This is my hubby's favorite fast food chain, and has now become a regular stop for us when we head over to Federal Way. It's a nice change from Taco Bell and Taco Time! My favorite would have to be the Steak & Egg Burrito, hands down! I also love the flavor of the Del Scorcho hot sauce! Yum!

Since I don't like Taco Bell this place is a good , qucik, fast easy alternative. We always seem to get the same things - cheese quesadilla for the baby and fish taco for the mama. Lunch for 2 under $5, can't go wrong.

Anyplace where you can get 6 tacos for $2.94, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week can't be beat. You get much more meat than you do at Taco Bell. Plus $0.49 each is regular price. Another thing I can't leave Del Taco without are the caramel cheesecake bites. These are a little bit more pricey. A 2 piece is about $2 and 4 piece for $4. but trust me, they're worth every cent! The customer service has always been good. I have been to this location many times and I have absolutely no complaints!

  • Sandy T.

The food is good. The service and over all cleanliness gets worse each time we have been to the Federal Way WA Del Taco. They just don't keep the outside parking lot and dining areas clean. There is always trash in both areas I mentioned. The bathrooms never have toilet paper stocked. The bathrooms haven't seen a good cleaning in a LONG time. And what is the problem about keeping the dining tables cleaned and available to the next customer? Since there is never any one in the place when we dine there should be a person assigned just to keep the place clean. My overall impression: "If they can't keep the bathrooms clean then you just know the kitchen isn't being kept clean". Consumers need to be aware of this place.

I'll admit it, I love seeing these West Coast places slowly creep up to Washington. Del Taco is one of them, and I'm stoked to see one close to here. It's as cheap as Taco Bell, but a little better. The taco sauces are fantastic! DEL SCORCHO FTW! It's decent for fast food, and it's 24 hours too.

  • D. H.

The fish tacos are awesome. Not high quality, not healthy, just delicious. At 2 bucks a pop, they're not cheap... and when you factor in the cost of gas (since i drive from Seattle) it's expensive. But, a pile of these fried fish sticks on some cabbage and tortillas with a squirt of lime and a big side of fries covered in slightly spicy nacho cheese and jalapenos... ya it's a good day. Plus its next to the nicest Walmart I've ever seen.

I discovered Del Taco in Las Vegas, when I discovered one was in Federal Way just a hop and a skip away I was very excited. Del Taco sells burgers, I love burgers, I do not eat the burgers at del taco, they have those funky krinkle frys, and the pattys are too thin. However I do not go to a place called del taco to get a burger or even review their burgers. Nope, I go for the taco, and for me it is all about the chicken soft taco, this is much better than the boil in a bag chicken that Taco Bell sells, it comes with sour cream for no additional price and it is under a dollar. This is a 5 star taco for the price. Other favorite includes the spicy jack chicken quesadilla. Del Taco is worth it for the value alone. Do yourself a favor and try them out.

I've been here several times. I had never been to one of these out of state, but I hear they are pretty popular. The first few times I stopped here, had good luck. Food was okay, place was clean, people were nice. This last time I went, complete change. They seemed to be somewhat busy, but really, there wasn't that many people in there, quite a bit less than a place like McDonalds or Jack in the Box. Plus, there were probably six or seven people working the back counter. So we order a pretty basic meal. I got two burritos, the lady got a chicken quesadilla and some fries and we figured we would splurge on one of their orange and creme shakes. So after about 15 minutes and no, this is not an exaggeration. The guy before me waited something close to twenty and I only know this because the girlfriend got there before I did as I was stuck in traffic. So I walk up to show that someone was waiting to eat and I see what looks to be our food sitting on a tray and people just walking around. So I keep standing and a guy asks me what I need. I told him I needed some sour cream and my order if it was too much to ask. So he comes up with both, then I see we're still missing our shake. So I remind him of that and he says, "oh yeah." I'll bring it out to ya. I see him walk over there and then try to ask some girl to make it, mess with a cup, then walk back off to the drivethru area and leave the cup sitting there. We finish our meal, watch as other people wait 10-15 minutes for their meals and wonder when our shake will arrive. Finally we're done and decide we'll just ask for our money back. So my girlfriend goes up to ask for our money back, he apologizes and tells her he'll make one and she says, "no thanks, we've waited long enough, our money back will work." Now, in most customer service positions I've been in. The customer is always right and you do what you can so the customer will make a reutrn visit. I think I remember from somewhere that most income is made from return customers. Anyways, back to the shake. He says, alright, gives her the money and leaves. So maybe I was being hopeful in getting a free shake for the hassle. Nope, sorry, not today. Our money back and that's it. As much as I like the place and have had some good luck there. This visit has spoiled my outlook on Del Taco. I understand it's fast food, but eh, there are a few other mexican fast food places out there I can spend my money at.

For fast food this is the best place around, even if I have to go 30 miles to get it. Chicken tacos with fries inside ( I put them in) and half pound green burritos rock! Chili cheese fries are great as well. Hands down better than Taco Bell.

I've been going to Del taco forever as a so cal native. When I moved up here I was ecstatic to see a Del Taco. It's not the best mexican food in the world. But when your out late or in a hurry, you cant beat it! In my opinion it beats Taco Bell or Taco Del Mar hands down! Here is my experience..... My sister managed a Taco Bell in So Cal for years. How the stuff was made was sad. Everything is dehydrated (including the beans) and boiled in a bag. Its standard fast food. Del Taco on the other hand, makes their beans fresh. They include fish tacos, tacos al carbon, Macho burritos and burgers, fries and more. Also you cant forget Taco Tuesday! 3 for $1.39. Now its not totally authentic Mexican food, but hey it beats the local late night alternative. One more thing about Del Taco, some of the So Cal locations offer different menu options. If Washington would only get an In-n-out burger awwww one can only dream

This place has terrible food!!! I tried one of their taco's and it tasted so gross, it was not fresh at all! I'm so confused its a taco place but yet they serve burgers!?!? After finishing my taco I felt sick, I will not go back, I'd rather go to taco bell.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
