My family really likes this place. Has something for everyone. It's affordable and huge portions. We love the bread, soups, salads, and sandwiches/burgers. The chicken fried steak is a fave as well. Sadly, we are usually too full for pie, I hear they are amazing!

The best place to have a lunch in this county.

Ridiculously large servings. I ordered a Cobb salad that was so huge it was falling off the plate and had old shredded left over chicken and 1/2 cup of dressing. Gross.

I waited 39 minutes for my turkey sandwich. The sandwich was good, but not 39 minutes good. They offered me free dessert, but declined as I didnt think I could enjoy it even if it was good. I paid for my sandwich. No tip.

Big portions and really good breakfast/lunch selection! I ordered the special of the day which was a turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry stuffing, and cranberry sauce. OMG.. it was like having Thanksgiving early! Food was really good and while you wait, all you can smell is their homemade pies. Mmmm.. :) Far drive but since I was in the area, it was worth going and to try it out! I'll be sure to stop by again whenever I head to Portland.

this is my absolute favorite place for lunch in Lewis county. I have yet to ever have a bad meal from here. I almost always get the crab and provolone sandwich which is amazing, and always the warm side of bread and honey butter. I never have room for dessert but I'm going there tomorrow and I am on a mission to try! I have had the creme brulee french Toast for breakfast there as well and it was heavenly. I just wish they served breakfast until maybe noon on the weekends.

My wife and popped in foe lunch yesterday. She had the tuna melt special and I had the cheesesteak sandwich with au jus. We both enjoyed them. The side we chose was clam chowder, it was light brown, grainy. The au jus by itself was better. It has a flight of stairs to get into it.

Simply AMAZING food!!! Huge portions that are great for sharing. Their broccoli soup, turkey pot pie bread bowl, turkey sandwich, fish & chips, caramel apple pie, chocolate chip cookies & heath pie are FANTASTIC!!! The clam chowder is nothing I'd order again (thin/runny with lots of overcooked potatoes). The service is generally ok depending on the waitress.

Delicious! We stopped in to have lunch after perusing the antique mall out of convenience. I ordered the patty melt and it was delivered not on the standard rye bread, but dark rye! I was a little apprehensive about it, but then I tasted it and WOW! Amazing, large, and the best I've ever had. My boyfriend ordered a standard burger, and he said it was good. My son ordered the club and it was spectacular. I know that it's pretty hard to mess up a club sandwich, but this had quality meat and it came without the annoying third slice of bread that usually accompanies clubs. The bacon was crispy and it was so large he took the other half back to our hotel. I just wish I lived closer so I could eat there more often!

Amazing lunches and breakfasts. The food is fresh, delicious, and healthy plus you get your money's worth! Lots of good sandwiches and salad selections and yummy desserts. The oatmeal bread and honey butter is wonderful. I consider this the best restaurant for breakfast and lunch in town.

My fiance and I came to grab a late lunch, around 2pm. The menu was so full of good things to eat I had a hard time deciding! I ended up getting a turkey sandwich that had cranberry sauce on it...(YUM-O!) and my fiance had a ham sandwich. The portions were so huge I went home with over half of my meal. Great atmosphere, pleasant waitstaff and you can tell the owners really have a passion for their business. Thanks!

  • Jamieleigh W.

The food my husband and I got was really greasy but my brother and sister in law got sandwiches that looked delicious. And they loved them. The portions were large enough to easily share, especially the shrimp salad.

    (3)
  • Skip C.

Great turkey sandwich. We even went back again for another. This place serves huge servings, absolutely enough to share, but I am not the sharing type :) Nice family atmosphere and sets in the same building as a few antique shops. I would recommend stopping by and having lunch.

  • Olivia T.

Fries, good. Turkey and cranberry sandwiches, good. Pie, GOOD. The atmosphere isn't that bad either. It isn't for everyone, but it isn't for no one.

    (3)
  • Jessica P.

Delicious soups and sandwiches! The soups are all very hearty and you get a large bowl of one with every sandwich. Come hungry because the portions are huge, and leave satisfied! Don't forget to check out the antique shops in the same building as well...

I like it here. The staff is always friendly and we have always had good, if not excellent service. This is one of our main breakfast places. I love breakfast out and want to really, really enjoy it and I am never disappointed here. The scrambled eggs are always perfect. Their pancakes and waffles are always delicious, though I am more of a "savory" breakfast person. Main thing, is when they ask what kind of toast you want, say "The oat toast". Big slabs of toasty buttery bread are brought along with a little bucket of jams. I like the stuff in the little plastic mystery cups. Their coffee is good, hot and my mug is always full. Downfall is they are a bit pricey and they stop breakfast at 11.

As the old saying goes, life is uncertain, eat dessert first. As we were shopping the Centralia Square Antique mall, we passed the entrance to the cafe' and were astounded by the selection of pies, cake, cheesecake and parfaits...the restaurant was full so after our shopping excursion decided to give it a try. I ordered the southwest chicken burger w/ onion rings and my husband had the BLT (a sandwich as big as yer head!) and a bowl of steak/black bean soup. We were served promptly and the food was delicious. I asked for some honey mustard and its addition on the chicken burger was primo! The onion rings were breaded, rather than battered, crisp and tasty. My husband raved about the soup and had trouble making it 3/4 way through the sandwich. I had to abandon the rest of the bun and concentrate on the innerds or I never would have made it. By the time we were done, we were definitely regretting not saving room for dessert as we watched more and more escape the rotating case and become the ooh and ah factor at many tables. Had we not been 4 hours from home, we would have taken something to go, but we now have an excuse to go antiquing in Centralia again! Bravissimo Berry Fields!

This is one of my favorite places to ear in Centralia. Tons of food at very reasonable prices. Fried Chicken Salad is huge and big enough to share. Their pies are the best! It is well worth the stop.

  • Janell D.

Every time I come home to visit my Mom takes me to Berry Fields, I love it! The portions are huge and the food is good. Every visit I've ordered one of their signature salads. They are very tasty and very huge. The servers are usually very nice. Don't be surprised at the old, boutique decor as the cafe is tucked in between several antique shops. While you wait for your food you can go "antiquing"...

  • Kris W.

This is where to go for lunch if you're in Centralia and don't want Mexican food (in which case, why aren't you at La Tarasca already)? The sandwiches, salads and soups are all fresh and tasty; bread is made on premises and is delicious. Pies are alright, nothing to rave about, but portions are big and depending on the day, that can be crucial. Good value for the money and a lot better than many other local choices. The crowd is great - everything from loggers, college students to business suits huddled around tables. Definitely worth a visit or two.

    (4)
  • John E.

Consistently huge and delicious sandwiches, with a variety of sides and some salad variety if that is your thing. A single gluten free smorgasborg (back of the menu). The food is great and the servers are friendly. I am usually so stuffed from lunch that dessert is rarely an option (though the desserts are awesome).

    (5)
  • Janelle R.

Great food and cozy atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and attend to tables quickly. The sandwiches here are delicious, and the burgers are to die for! I rarely have room for desert but when I do it's always delicious. By far my favorite place for lunch and breakfast.

  • Kristin T.

Came here for lunch while staying at the Great Wolf Lodge based on other reviews. Portions were large, hubs & I split a sandwich & our 8yr old was happy with a half. The full sized salads are enough for 2 people to easily share. I would totally come back here again - beats all the chain places right off I-5 hands down + fresh pie. The pie was pretty good, not as good as grandma's but definitely good enough. Service was good too.

  • Sara W.

I work in Centralia, and this is my go-to place for lunch. The service is always really good and the food is consistent. Their desserts are incredibly good. Of course portions are hefty here, but I always enjoy getting their soup and bread. I always think I'll have room for dessert, but usually don't. I dream about their bread. Sweet, large pieces to go with your soup. You can also buy a loaf for seven bucks - a little pricy, but so delicious. Their burgers are yummy, but most of their other sandwiches are just okay for me. I want to try their breakfast someday, but I'm never there early enough. Wish they'd serve it all day.

  • Joyce E.

Wandered through the antiques at Centralia Square Mall and decided to have lunch at the cafe in the same building. Deciding on simple soup and salad, I was pleasantly surprised to quickly receive a pile of fresh crispy greens, bowl of homemade chicken-noodle-rosemary soup, and a tall wedge of oat-y, homemade bread with honey butter. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was homey and well decorated with antiques and a berry/garden theme.

It's looking like Centralia is becoming and untapped resource in the realm of unreviewed restaurants. This one definitely needs to be reviewed if you ever find yourself here. Berry Fields is located in the Centralia Antique Mall, so if you enjoy perusing antiques after lunch, this is the place to go. The food here is primarily soups, salads and sandwiches but all bread is made fresh on the premises. I've been here on many many occasions. It was nice to be able to go back after a long absence and still enjoy their excellent food. I ordered my favorite; the chicken almond salad sandwich on sourdough bread. Portions are quite hefty, and for the price of a half sandwich vs. a whole sandwich (the difference is roughly $1.50) you may as well order the whole so you can have a second helping later. Sandwiches come with your choice of the soup of the day, cole slaw, potato salad or chips. Kids sandwiches come with a Tootsie pop stabbed through the middle of the sandwich to hold it together rather than the standard toothpick. My niece was quite excited about that. The dessert carousel is also definitely worth checking out, featuring fresh baked fruit pies and other standard dessert fare that dance before your very eyes in a twirling motion.

  • Bill B.

The food was great, homemade with fresh ingredients, in a comfortable setting. The wait staff was very pleasant and with the antiques and rotating pie display it definitely wasn't boring. Good menu for the adults and kids. Never did get a chance to try the pies since we were too full but hopefully next time. Oh yeah and the prices were reasonable.

Driving through town and found this resaurant on Yelp. Wonderful , homey. Good food, comfortable, good price. The home made pies looked delicious but I resisted.

  • Jim E.

The atmosphere is great. It's just that the food's not very good. About 1/2 of the servers are great until there's a problem, then they turn rude. The other 1/2 are rude from the start. My wife ordered a sandwich which she described as the worst of her life. I forget the kind but it was a kind that is typical, a BLT or Ruben or something. The "chef" made it differently than the traditional way, and when my wife complained that she didn't like it, she was offered nothing else. I mean if a chef is going to break with the preparation of a traditional sandwich, at least ofter a replacement dish to those who don't like the change.

Great great great food.. love the Oatmeal and honeybutter that comes with soup or one of there amazing salads.... I had the Reuben, which was delicious.. thought I was back in NYC... There special today was Lasagna... husband had it.. All housemade, really yummy... This place is very clean, service is fast, and food quality is hands down the best of Centralia... They have lots of awards to prove it..

5 stars is VERY hard to get from me, so you should consider this a very good review.... Berry Fields is the kind of restaurant that will win a "city" girl like me over to the country. The atmosphere is definitely "down home" but still top quality. The food is GREAT. It's hearty and filling and obviously made fresh. I've always had great food and service every time I've gone. I particularly love either the Reuben or the crab melt. Mmmm... yum.

I stopped on my way to Seattle, looked up this place for a quick lunch. Ended up splitting the shrimp croissant with my husband. The sandwich was overstuffed, when I picked it up everything fell out. It was very bland and tasteless. Very dissapointing. The best thing I had was the fried onion rings, probably because they were frozen out of the box. Definitely not worth the stop...

Sandwiches and salads are to die for. Made with homemade bread and fine ingredients. Wait staff is polite and courteous.

  • Elyse P.

The food is wonderful, when I worked in town I always recommended this place to customers looking for a good place to eat. You get a ton of food and it tastes delicious. Breakfast and lunch are fantastic! I wish their breakfast hours were a little longer and the service is hit and miss, but it is still worth going! I love the vanilla waffles and the pineapple sandwich they have!

    (4)
  • Homer M.

Had the spicy southwest chicken sandwich & my wife had the shrimp croissant. Both sandwiches were large & reasonably priced. The chicken sandwich was very tasty. The shrimp were very cold & unseasoned, but the croissant was excellent. Had the apple pie with vanilla ice cream as well. Also very tasty but a bit pricy. We would come back to eat here again.

  • Kathy D.

Delicious large salads! tons of toppings, homeade dressing, and a bug hunk of bread to go with it. fantastic desserts, and gluten free options too. salad prices are the same as Applebys, buy you get three times the salad! Love this place for breakfast and lunch

  • Darrel A.

Service is a bit slow, but they were also extremely busy--which I assume was due to the good food! Huge portions, big menu, and some great desserts (we especially loved the brownie). Good place to eat when making the long haul between PDX and SEA.

  • Natasha G.

Ive never had a bad meal here! Breakfast: I always get chicken fried steak. LOVE their toast with homemade jam. Lunch: You cant go wrong with anything. Great salad, sandwiches, soups and BREAD! Get the bread, with some honey butter. Delicious. Pies: Theyre all good, but I never had room for em.

I hope to visit this place again to try something different. I had to custom order my omelet because the selections are odd and few. They did accommodate which I appreciated. I was unimpressed but not disappointed. I imagine they have some things I might like, so like I mentioned id like to try it again. Currently only able to give 3/5.

  • Olystacy B.

This is a favorite place for lunch, and has been for over 15 years. They continue to provide exceptional lunch type of food (salads, burgers, sandwiches, soup) in big portions for decent prices. They always have amazing service. I honestly can say that I dont think I have ever had bad service and I go to this place a lot. There salads are humongous and delicious. Try the Berry Ceasar or Chicken Salad. YUM! Their pies are to die for - peanutbutter chocolate - yuM! Try this place, you wont be disappointed. The only downfall to this place is that it does get crowded at lunch and get loud. If you dont like sensory overload this might not be the place for you as all of the ambient noise does sometimes threaten to drown your conversation out with your lunch mates. This place is set in a large open room with no partitions so the noise bounces around.

I love, love love the location! Great atmosphere. I had the crab/provolone sandwich. It sounded amazing to me but it was to fishy for me. My husband had the jalapeño burger and loved it. Huge portions too. Just because I didn't like my meal does not mean I'm not going back! Looks great for breakfast. Just a clean good feeling restaurant that I want to take my whole family to.

Pleasant cafe adjacent to the antiques mall, known for breakfast/brunch and their pies. Sadly I was killing time waiting to meet a friend for dinner, so couldn't indulge. It was, however, a nice place to get out of the cold, windy rain and have a hot cup of cider. Staff were quick, friendly, and cute, and the whole cafe gave off a homey, country comfort. I'd happily try eating here if staying overnight or daytime antiquing.

  • David D.

Great tasting food, HUGE portions! The berry forest tea is insanely sweet and artificial tasting - hated it but their regular ice tea was great. Too full for desserts.

    (4)
  • Tami N.

Pretty average place. It looks so charming, I was hoping for fresh homemade, amazing food! I think I ordered the wrong thing though. I got a crab cake sandwich - the special today. The crab cakes seemed like were fried from frozen and had way too much bread on them. What little meat was there I couldn't taste past the breadcrumbs. They were very low quality. We also had pie, which was good enough, but not special. Also didn't seem homemade. The filling was fine but the crust was hard and chewy. I saw others at the tables around us, who ordered different sandwiches and salads, and what they chose looked better than what I had. I would possibly give it another chance and try something different, but I'm not expecting to be blown away. I was hoping for more from scratch style cooking. The location is very cute. The staff was friendly, but not the most helpful. It seems like they are used to regulars who know how things run around there. Given that there's not any extraordinary restaurant to be found in Lewis/Thurston, I'd say this place is a good enough bet - there are much worse places you could eat. If you are just impressed by large portions of average food, you'll love it! If you are a sad foodie stuck in this part of Washington, sorry this isn't the place you're hoping and wishing exists.

  • Marc B.

Wow.. great lunch. We did the Philly (more of a french dip than a philly) and a patty melt. The bread on the sandwhiches and the roll tasted home made. This is the good stuff!

  • Debbie M.

Great food! Yummy!! Stopped here for a late lunch, our party tried salad...burger & Sandwich. Gotta love the quaint atmosphere and an antique store right next door to boot! Great food, fabulous service!

Great place for lunch. The Ruben was very good, tender and plenty. The BLT unfortunately dry and cold. Very friendly service. Cute place.

  • Wendy C.

Breakfast perfection. This is the real deal breakfast place. Love the shredded potatoes hash browns--so simple yet so hard to find, and here they are executed well. Eggs were perfect, ditto the toast and Belgian waffle. Lunch pales a bit by comparison--I think they should consider serving breakfast all day, but in the meantime, get there before 11 for their breakfast menu.

    (4)
  • Chuck K.

We stop here for breakfast every time we pass by on our way from Oregon to visit family in Olympia. We love the home style meal, the crisp bacon, and the obviously home made hash brown potatoes. The service had always been excellent by friendly staff, and prices are very reasonable.

    (5)
  • Angela R.

$30 for breakfast for two is too much to have to put up with sloppy service. The omelet was great, the hash browns were cold and greasy and the single slice of toast was cold as well. The worst part, my coffee cup was empty for several minutes...with only 6 other two top tables and at least 2 other servers, that should never have happened. I'll be back, but I'll stick to the lunch service.

Pricing: 3.5/5 Food quality: 4.25/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Nice country feel, excellent pie, fantastic bread! Really great meal!!

  • Joe C.

Great local place if you're looking for home-cooked food. Definitely worth the mile or so drive off the highway. They offered large portions friendly staff and reasonable prices. My mom had a shrimp salad and I had the berry burger both were great and more than enough food to fill us up for the rest of our drive. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for some real local food. Also they offer a ton of gluten free options which was surprisingly awesome. They even mark the menu items that were gluten free as well.

  • Marshall W.

A good breakfast/lunch restaurant with huge American portions of food. If you get a sandwich, it is unlikely you will finish it and will probably have to take half to go. The place has a cozy warm feel to it and is always packed with people. The service is just ok, nothing special. Servers take a long time to take your order or refill your drink and the person at the register seems like she would rather be doing something else. There is also some local jams and things being sold at the counter. Didn't try and of that stuff but I imagine fellow foodies would like it. Overall, one of the better places to get a sandwich in Centralia but in the future I will probably just get it to go to not overtax the help more than they already seem to be.

  • KK Lovin Life C.

5 stars for food and service but a bummer that they don't have an elevator as I had to carry my super heavy stroller and car seat up the stairs... Luckily it's so worth it!

    (5)
  • Ernest S.

For the location it was really good. But it would be an average resteraunt anywhere else. Service was average nothing great. I was also here for breakfast and was told lunch and dinner is much better. Kinda was thinking they also told me breakfast was awesome. Reason I gave it 3 stars mainly was because the portions were so large and that the food came out pretty fast.

    (3)
  • Camille H.

Great service, nice restaurant, lots of good food choices, hearty servings. Which means you have to really focus in order to have room at the end for dessert which is the main goal. Three of us had an entree with gravy. For my daughter and I it was a half order of country fried steak and wished the gravy had more sausage and more pepper. French toast which was a thumbs up. And a side of bacon which was done to perfection. Ended up with only room to share a single piece of sour cream lemon pie which was delicious. Got the cobbler to go along with a cookie. Coconut cream pie hadn't set yet, or I would have taken a slice of that to go as well. Men's bathroom was disgusting at 9:30 on Monday morning.

  • Kim F.

Surprising location. Will have to go back to check out the lunch menu. The berry French toast was just like home. Expected the bread to be thicker, but the plate was wiped clean by the end of the meal.

We were recommended to Berry Fields by local family members who LOVE it there. The food is good and sandwiches are HUGE. As in we should have shared and just each had a half. We took leftovers home. What I'd really like to try is their breakfast and their pies. We had so much sandwich and fries that we didn't order dessert, but it looks quite tasty! This is a stopping place on the way to visit my Mom, so I know we'll be returning. It's a good solid restaurant for fairly basic fare.

  • Brian E.

Absolutely an amazing breakfast!! It was so much food! I had the Berry Field Omelette and "made it a mess" (chopped up with cheese and gravy on top) My wife had The Traveler which was also excellent The service was excellent, coffee and water was always full. Great food at a fair price. Highly recommend!

  • Jen M.

So good. We've visited Great Wolf Lodge multiple times and end up eating so-so food at Country Cousins. My Sis-in-law found this place and I don't think we'll go anywhere else. Huge salads, great fries, homemade pies and soups that were full of flavor. I bought a brownie to go for $2 which was as big as my hand. New go-to spot anytime we're near here.

    (5)
  • Patti M.

The food has been excellent each time. Only 4 stars because this is a hustle and bustle restaurant - loud! Good service. Good food. But it's difficult to converse because of it being so LOUD.

  • Christopher B.

This is just about certainly my favorite breakfast place, to date. I'd have never found it if it weren't for a friendly old couple that was waiting in line just a few folks ahead of me at Country Cousins. They assured me that i'd be well fed if I were to try BF... they weren't lying. I enjoyed my CFS (the gravy was quite good), as well as the unfinished portion of my dates meal. I had a dessert and several cups of coffee. I can't think of a single thing worth complaining about. The service was impeccable. I asked my server for some Frank's Red Hot, and she informed me that they don't have the stuff. But then she appeared moments later with a bottle that was straight out of the purse of one of the other servers who'd heard my request. If I didn't call Eugene, OR. home... I would easily be eating at BF on a monthly basis. Four thumbs up!

This place is one of my favorites for lunch in town. Everything is homemade- incredible soups and bread to die for. And don't get me started on the desserts. They have all homemade pies and they are the best I have ever tasted. The portions are huge and the service is fast and friendly. They have huge salads too served with a big chunk of homemade bread. My favorite soup is their homemade Rosemary chicken noodle which I think they have on Thursdays. Never had a bad meal here.

So, if you are in Centralia doing a little antiqing you will find lunch here. It is located on the first floor of an antique mall. They've got HUGE sandwiches. Some so big they are held together by bamboo skewers. The onion rings were great. Breaded and crispy not battered and soggy. The menu contains a wide selection of items for lunch. Breakfast menu is served until 11 am and appeared to contain all of the usual suspects. The waitress was very attentive and had awesome melons. I would go again and so should you.

  • Shelly S.

Only been here once but my god the portions were huge! Totally worth the money! The Benedict Omelet was scrumptious. It was a little loud in here, lots of families and children but overall it was a great little restaurant.

The food is really good and the portions are huge. I love their sour cream lemon pie!

I definitely should have ordered something with gravy, then I could've better gauged this place. But I will say that Country Cousin has better hash browns and eggs, hands down! I ordered 2 pancakes 2 eggs and 2 strips of bacon ... And as always had to get a side of hash browns. I imagined the pancakes being about half the size. Had I known how huge they were I would've only ordered the 1x breakfast (1 pancake,1 egg...) They're pancakes are PLATE size. I will say this, Berry Fields gives you a lot of bang for your buck, the 2x breakfast was only $6.99. The hash browns tasted average. One of my bacon strips was perfect, the other was waaaay to crispy for my liking. I ordered scrambled eggs (which is odd for me) but they were very blah. I make better eggs at home. My mom said their lunch is great. So perhaps my next time I'm in town I'll give them another shot for lunch. Or I'll order biscuits and gravy! Until then, 3 stars is where I stand.

The food wasn't bad. The decor was kind of cute. They are not any better than the 40 other resturaunt in a 20 mile radius that are willing to share their WIFI password. We will not be back.

    1. Food is always awesome! Great salads, soups, homemade bread, sandwiches, desserts. 2. Waitresses do an amazing job keeping up! 3. The only reason for 4 star instead of 5 is that it's loud in there. It's a historic building with no sound absorbancy.

    (4)
  • Tiffany D.

Amazing food and great service. The waitresses are super friendly and they have quick service. Everything is homemade and delicious. The cranberry bog sandwich is amazing! Very reasonably priced. Great breakfast and lunch spot!

This proved to be a very good choice for a family lunch, and six of us were seated promptly despite a busy lunch crowd. Our lunches were well prepared and we ate well. The portions were generous, and some of it migrated home. It occurred to me to order the highly recommended apple pie for dessert, but I confess I had already eaten well. I look forward to the next breakfast or lunch at Berry Fields when I'm in Centralia.

Great food, neat atmosphere, decent coffee. Can't believe someone would get upset over WiFi. Eat here every time we visit relatives in the area.

Our first visit to Berry Fields the first thing we heard was the noise. The volume in this place is unbelievable. They must not have heard of noise dampening drop ceilings like in most businesses. This made it really difficult to converse over lunch but the turkey sandwich I had and open face prime rib my date was served were both excellent so we tried again. Our second visit was still incredibly loud but we endured thinking the food would be worth it. Not so, they apparently only serve the prime rib at random times when they are in the mood and were out of steak entirely. that happens, okay so we each chose other options. It took 48 minutes to get our meals and the food was BAD. biscuits and gravy should have biscuits right? Wrong. Was peppered sludge covering thick flavorless bread. eggs were runny. gross. we will not be back.

Got food poisoning from this place! (Ordered half #2 with coleslaw). Rest of family was fine, just me.Only thing all day we didn't share was my meal here. Quaint little old place, but its got a bad stigma in my eyes now. I initially tried it based solely on the Yelp reviews. Oh well!

Generous portions. Reasonably priced, and the pies are to die for!

When I am in Centralia and want an excellent breakfast, this is where I go. Their pies and desserts are fabulous as well.

This is absolutely the best place in town for breakfast and lunch. Everything is freshly homemade with the best local ingredients. Family atmosphere, friendly staff and great food keep me coming back here every weekend.

Love this place. Hubs and I always come here when we are craving the 5th Avenue Sandwich Shop (an O-town fave) but are too far south or it's a Sunday. This place has something for everyone and you will NOT go home hungry. Some of my faves: Want to keep it light? Just get a bowl of soup and their bread with honey butter. Their soups are homemade. Salads -- order a half chef (it also comes with bread) the salads are huge. Sandwiches - too many to chose from to pick a favorite. If you have room don't skip dessert -- or just come and eat a slice of pie and a cup of coffee after some antique shopping. I love that they are open all weekend and even serve breakfast.

I had liked this place so much for lunch I thought I'd try breakfast. Boy, was that a mistake! We ordered our breakfasts which included biscuits and gravy. The biscuits wee completely dry and the gravy was cold. We called the waitress back and she apologized and said she would take care of it. Upon her return with the re-fired plates, she said, "These should be hit, I can see steam." I looked at the plates and could not see any steam. We again tried our food and they were still cold. I even put my finger in my gravy to show her it was so cold that I could leave them on the gravy without fear of being burned. What a waste of time. If you want a good breakfast in Centralia, go to Judy's. The service and food there after we left Berry Fields was not even comparable. Judy's is way better!

Had breakfast on Sunday at Berry Fields. A group of four of us all ordered the special...pumpkin pancakes with egg and bacon. The food was delicious, but even though the four of us all ordered at the same time and the plates were almost identical, only three of us were served. The fourth for some unanswered reason had to wait an extra 10 minutes for her plate of food. It was quite awkward....do the rest of us let our plates go cold, but wait politely until our friend can also eat? At the time the three of us were served, we expected the fourth plate to come in just a minute but as time went by we decided we would have to start without our friend. The waitress was not very apologetic, just said the food wasn't up yet but gave no reason why it was taking so long. Not a pleasant way to enjoy the meal.

Located within the large building that houses the Centralia Square "Antique" center, the Berry Fields Cafe offers sandwiches, salads, pies and other feel good home cooking favorites. My sandwich was simple in its preparation, the "Bog" sandwich which included cream cheese, turkey and jam. The highlight was the peanut butter pie, which was decadent and the best part of the meal.

I am from Las Vegas and have to say that the cranberry turkey sandwich is as good as any i have ever had. Better than capriottes which was voted best in Las Vegas and famous for their cranberry turkey sandwich. The lemon poppy seed dressing is delicious. I love the fact you sit yourself and service is fast, friendly, and efficient. From the time I sat down to order was just a couple minutes and to getting the food in less than 10 minutes. This place should be treasured by the locals and must stop over for travelers. The atmosphere is friendly, decor with the wood booths and wood work layout is open and inviting. Finally the food is to die for.

Stopped here for lunch while driving between Seattle & Portland. Great choice. Quaint, delicious home cooked meals. Very friendly service. Generous portions, so sharing is an option. Oh...and try the pies.

Went here about 5 years ago. Finally tried it again, took my brother for lunch. It was good, so my brother took his wife a few days later. WOW !! Bad service, took about 50 minutes to get food, Inconsistent roll of the dice. But homemade breads and soups are good. It's worth a try.

If you're looking for LARGE portions with great taste, particularly for breakfast and lunch-this is the place! They have great omelets, Belgian waffles, and delicious deli sandwiches! My husband and I usually stop by here for a quick bite when we are starving and in a hurry and the only times we have been disappointed has been from a couple of the waitresses who just don't seem to be personable and are super mono toned. When you're dealing with waitresses like that it makes you feel like you are just a huge inconvenience to them. Great food, big portions, awesome variety of pies-all in all a nice little place.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast based on Berry Fields' 5-star Yelp reviews, and although it was OK, I wasn't blown away. The food was solid country-diner fare, but the service was just... strange. On a Sunday at 11:00 am, we walked in and sat right down with our choice of tables. I wanted something smallish, so I asked for a piece of the apple pie that was on the daily special board. Our server looked doubtful, said she would check whether they had any, and came back to say they did not. So wait, they sold out of their daily special by 11:00 am but didn't take it off the board? Odd. Then, when I asked for cream for my coffee, she gave me a confused look, told me they didn't have any, and brought me a shot glass of milk. What kind of cafe doesn't have either the single-serving half-and-half tubs, or the little mini-creamer pitchers for pouring? Instead, I ordered a cinnamon roll ($4), which turned out to be a HUGE, gooey, cream-cheese-frosted monster that easily dwarfs a Cinnabon. It's definitely made for sharing, and I didn't come close to finishing it - which is probably for the best, calorically speaking. Order one for the table and there will be plenty, I promise! My boyfriend was pleased with his sausage-and-eggs breakfast ($10), and the OJ seemed fresh-squeezed, which was nice. I think I would've been more excited about this place if they hadn't been out of everything I asked for. Our server was friendly and nice, just not really on top of things. If you're just looking for a basic breakfast or lunch while taking a break from antiquing, it'll do the job... just don't ask for cream for your coffee.
