Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I've been to Bison Creek many times over the last 25 years and it's always a good choice for beer and pizza. I like the updates they've made and our server, Carolyn, was fantastic. Great place for team parties or watching the game.

Wow. 40 minutes and not even our appetizers, and people arriving 30 minutes after us getting their food? LAME. This place will not be getting another chance.

We went to Bison Creek Pizza last night for dinner. It didn't seem super busy when we were seated. Our order (two salad bars and a medium non specialty 3 topping pizza) was taken within a reasonable amount of time. Normally salad plates and forks are brought right away. We waited... and waited... our server, whom I think is one of the owners walked by us 4 times during our wait. I was pretty hungry and was going to be primarily eating salad so I went up to the counter to ask for plates. I passed a waitress with plates and thought "oh this must be for us". NOPE! The table behind us. Those people actually came in AFTER we did. When I asked for salad plates to the man who took our order he handed me one and I reminded him that my husband also ordered a salad. Oh the salad bar! Wilted lettuce, canned vegetables, eggs that looked questionable, and dressing that was empty. Our pizza came in a reasonable amount of time. It wasn't anything to write home about. Way too much cheese and the crust tasted like it was pre-packaged. I could have found something comparable in the freezer section at Fred Meyer and added cheese to it. The sauce was a little too sweet for my particular taste. Not once while we were there after our order was taken were we asked if everything was okay. We were never asked if we needed drinks refilled. Which is odd because people around us were being helped. It is unfortunate that the old owners aren't still running Bison Creek Pizza. It was a lot better and tasted much more home made. We have tried this place a few times since it was sold and make excuses as to why it isn't as good. Not any more. We won't be back.

It's really hard for me to go down a star because I personally still love their pizza. So I am kinda bias and will continue to keep coming here for my pizza needs. They have a great lunch special with all you can eat salad, soup and pizza! This is by far my favorite time to visit!! Their salad bar isn't amazing but it has a great variety and for a salad bar pretty decent. The pizza is hit or miss with what they have out. But they always have fresh ones coming out! The pizza isn't as great as it is when you order a whole pie and comes out in basic flavors. My major complaint with this place is that I have noticed depending on who is working the service, won't be great. And it doesn't seem like they are staffed properly. You will see one person working the tables and bar on a busy day which seems weird. Maybe they didn't plan for how busy they would be. I have had some great service here above and beyond normal. But that seems to be not the norm anymore. I still love how family friendly this place is!! My daughter loves coming here to ride the horse and play in the game room. Always have to remember to bring quarters!! And for the food I love the pizza. People complain has to much cheese but that's the way I like it!!! I have enjoyed everything I have gotten. My favorite is still the all you can eat pizza and salad bar lunch and the bison wing pizza!!! So I will keep coming back but I really hope the service will go back to being great every time!

I called this afternoon to make a reservation. I was hustled off the phone and assured I would not need one. Arrived for pizza and Seahawks game to find the place packed and 3 parties in front of us. I complained about experience and having a hungry and disappointed child. Minimal response and she had the nerve to tell would be a 15 min wait for table. Sure - 1st quarter of a Seahawks game so people definitely in a rush to eat and leave. Will never again give you my business if you think this is acceptable customer service. You have 1 shot to make good and earn a customer back.

I honestly think this place used to be far better. That stated I haven't been here in years so maybe by memory is playing tricks on me. Either way I came here specifically for the Pizza. I remember it being amazing, saw the place on yelp, the pictures looked amazing so I thought lets make a special trip. Honestly I'm upset I didn't stop at the 20 different options I passed on the way here. The pizza tastes like it is made on top of French Bread. Maybe that is a personal preference for some people but to me that tastes horrible. Seriously its white unflavored dough that makes up the majority of the pizza. The cheese wasn't bad, the ingredients weren't horrible but that crust was not good. Again could be personal preference but I actually hated it. Brought it home for my wife who loves pizza and she refused to eat more than a slice. It was a bummer as a 2 topping pizza cost me 26 bucks out the door. The service wasn't bad. It was slow but honestly cooking pizza is never fast so I wasn't expecting to have my food in less than 20 minutes. I was right. Other than that its a dark bar, not really a pizza joint and I guess that is where my memory is messing with me. I remember this place as a lot more like a restaurant than a bar. These days its a bar that cooks over priced pizza. (As for the prices they do offer a lunch special with all you can eat salad and pizza for like $7) So that's not bad. I'm really trying to point out the positives here but honestly I won't be back anytime soon. At least not for the food, maybe for a drink at the bar. Solid 2 Stars

Searching for good pizza is an art and finding it is even harder. I tried Bison hoping for the best, but found it just meh. The atmosphere as you've read is good for kids and family birthday parties. It's heavy on the wood accents and has a lofty comfortable feel about it. The service is good and found they have a full bar and you can get some drinks here too. As for the pizza the toppings seemed okay with the cheese being on the top layer instead of on the bottom with the sauce. The sad part was the crust reminded me of cardboard and didn't rise to be a good crispy chewy consistency that I really like to see; as I judge pizza more by the crust then anything else.
(2)Henry M.
Poor quality and ingredients. Good pizza places are hard to find south of the sound. This is another example.

I ate at bison creek couple months ago, service was good, it was pretty packed and the lady (looks like the picture of Carolyn) was super nice and she handled the whole restaurant on her own! Kudos to her! Tonight was a different story. I walked in around 7:30, all the booths were taken and there were 2 waitresses. I waited about 10 minutes to be acknowledged. One waitress walks by me twice, making eye contact once but never greeted, spoken to or acknowledged. I left and I won't be back.
(2)Lova L.
I've been going to this place for over 20 years. The food is delicious and great quality. The service on the other hand, not so good. This evening we went in and were ignored by our waiter. Unfortunately we won't be returning, while the pizza is good, it's not worth the commute to just be ignored.
(2)Dawn C.
Bison Pizza is great. They have great food and a good selection of beers on tap. The cheesy breadsticks are awesome. And the chicken strips are good when need a meal but aren't supper hungry. The pizza and pastas are good. The French Dipper is fantastic. My favorite server is Erica but they all are great.
(5)J J.
Carolyn isn't just a hostess or server, at Bison Creek it's like being her friend or guest. Good beer, okay pizza, great ambiance and fantastic service.

This place used to be great. I went there with with some coworkers after I had raved to them about my previous experience here. The salad: literally bagged salad (I saw them opening the bags) The pizza: flavorless crust, bland toppings. Seemed on par with freezer stuff. Did they change their ways? Service was friendly and nice.
(1)Adri M.
Came in today for lunch and it was great! When ever I'm in Burien I make sure to stop in. I had the salad bar and a personal pan pizza which is amazing! I love the pan style thick cust and the zesty sauce. By the time I was finished with my salad my pizza was done. Good service and fast!
(5)Sarah L.
The last couple times I have been here I have left because I've waited twenty minutes and never received service. Its unfortunate since I love the food.
(2)Katie K.
Overall service and food are lacking. We visited because the online site made this place look a lot better than it is. There is no direction as to where you can sit; we waited about 10 minutes before being vaguely directed toward some tables. Easily waited another 15 to 20 minutes for our drinks; only got one refill because the waitress was more interested in talking to people than checking her tables. The food is very subpar. Ever had lunchables? It essentially tastes like that but costs a whole of a hell lot more. Also, table really needed to be wiped down. I didn't see any bussers so they are probably understaffed. Would not recommend,

Writing a "positive" review would have been my preference; but, my lunch experience today at Bison Creek Pizza needs to be addressed; hopefully by the owner. I arrived at 1 p.m. and noticed the parking lot was empty. (This should have been red flag #1.) But, I had just read their menu from an on-line "GROUPON" special and checked out their menu. It sounded amazing so I decided to give it a try since I had other business in Burien. (Thankfully, I did not purchase the Groupon deal.) As this was my FIRST visit to Bison Creek Pizza, I mentioned this to the gentleman behind the front counter when I first arrived. He explained about the luncheon special (salad bar and pizza), pointed to the back, and handed me two plates and a fork. There, I found TWO pizzas under a heat(?) lamp. (ONE - a combo with three small slices (remaining) and ONE cheese pizza, mostly untouched.) I opted for the combo and proceeded through the salad bar. In the dimly lit dining area, I seated myself and enjoyed my salad, although it seemed to be bagged salad greens. When I bit into the first slice of pizza, it was STONE COLD! I took it to the (same) gentleman behind the front counter and asked if it could be warmed up. He said he could "microwave it". I thought this was an odd response. (Who eats microwaved pizza?!!) Couldn't he have put it in the pizza oven for a few minutes? He went on to say that a fresh pizza was coming up soon. So, I returned to my table and waited and waited and waited. NO PIZZA ever showed up. At 1:30 p.m., I left. The same gentleman saw me leaving and didn't offer a word as I walked out. Bottom line, - when a business continually offers "GROUPON" specials, - there is a reason for that!!!

Erica took such good care of us! It was my son's high school graduation and we had a lot of people. The food was delicious. I am picky about pizza. Theirs is exceptional. The wings are pretty epic. We had almost 30 people and everyone was happy and we all wondered why we haven't been coming here for happy hour long before this! Count us regulars from now on!

Bought a Groupon to try this place out. Unlikely I'll go back. The pizza was edible but nothing special. Actually reminded me of a frozen grocery store pizza (which would have been much less expensive). Service was tolerable but quite slow even though they weren't at all busy. Beer selection was acceptable. Nice to have a selection on tap although the server couldn't tell me what they were. She only seemed to know there were 20. And last but not least there were kids running around. It's a restaraunt...sit down and eat already! All and all, there's better pizza places in Burien for a lot less money.
(2)Eva J.
Ordered spaghetti and meatballs with meat sauce received marinara sauce the waitress tried to debate the issue but we have eaten there many times and it was definitely not a meat sauce. We also ordered a large pizza which I brought home for my son. He said it tasted funny. Sad to say we used to love this place! !
(2)Lisa T.
My chicken bbq pizza was amazing one of best ones I had ! My server Carolyn was sweet and on point! Will be coming back yumm!!!

I've been seeing ads and discounts for this place all over the internet. Personally, I think it's really bad when you have to depend on Group-on or Living Social to sell food. Anyway, I happened to be in Burien and I went to this food establishment and spent 43.00 on a Lg. Pizza and chicken wings. I got home and began eating the pizza and it was horrible. The crust tasted like stale dry bread that had been laying around for a few weeks, the toppings did not set in to the pizza, instead, the cheap, cheap, cheap, low grade, free cheese from the government program was used and all the toppings were melted in. When you picked up a slice, all the toppings that set into the cheese just came off, then you see thick tomato paste on the old stale crust. I will never eat here again. I am not sure why the price is so high, but the food is crummy. Pizza is very special and when made correctly it sells itself. I warn you do not go to this place for Pizza. Other than that, the lady who took my order was super nice, it's really nice at this place with sports bar, T.V's to watch the sports, games for the kids. The place is kick ass, but the food is from hell. Yep, I got ripped OFF AGAIN!
(1)Sean M.
Not very well run, as far as service, and the pizza is mediocre. Extremely kid friendly with cool old video games and pinball. Tried the specialty pizzas--my wife loved hers, but mine was not very good. Recommended for families with kids if you are just going for cheese and pepperoni, but not very attractive to the pizza connoisseur, and overpriced for the specialty pizzas.
(2)Natalie H.
This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Burien. My husband and I go there regularly for dinner, lunch or even just a couple drinks. Their pizza is great but so are the other options on the menu. They have a good selection of beer on tap that rotates seasonally with so,co mainstays that are always available. The staff are excellent- super friendly, attentive and helpful. It's also excellent if you want to go watch a game since they have several large screen TVs.
(5)Matt B.
My wife and I went here on 3/22/14 after moving here from ohio. I used to be in the restaurant business, so I may be more critical at times than others. Granted, they were almost full when we arrived. We waited for about 20 minutes for a server(I think there were only 2 on at the time) to get a drink. We placed our order 10 minutes later and then waited well over an hour for our food:( the server told us that there was another order very similar to ours and our food was given to another table. Now, our meal was comped, which was adequate I suppose, and the server was very apologetic. I just feel on a Saturday evening, especially during March madness, there should have been more staff on hand. We will definitely think long and hard about revisiting this establishment.
(2)Jennie C.
Slow Death!! The food is ok, but the service kills any good feeling I had regarding my meal. Twenty five minutes to get an order of garlic-less garlic bread in a empty restaurant ?? I'm not doing a gulp and go, but 1.5 hours to sit, order, eat and pay for a meatball sandwich!?! The kind of service where you better have payment ready when the bill arrives or you are hung out to dry even longer. My sandwich was good and I wanted dessert, but how much can you endure?
(1)Josh K.
Ordered to go from here and the bbq chicken pizza was really good. The gal at the desk was really nice too. Didn't get the pizza buffet but will be back to try that - refreshing to see a pizza place that is a little more old school and not hung up on the whole overpriced woodfired pizza trend.
(4)Bob M.
Bison puts out a decent pie is has plenty of ingredients good sauce I'd really enjoyed each time I've stopped again I've also had their buffet and only 1 time did I find it maybe the salad have been left out a little too long and it a rancid dressing

Sadly, I was deeply dissapointed by our visit. My 8 year old and I went for lunch. We are both GF and I heard their GF pizza was tasty. We tried to get in on the lunch special which is a great deal for a salad bar and pizza all you can eat for about $7 or $8. Unfortunately, we paid $27 for a bad GF pizza and an okay salad bar. The GF crust was the best part. It wasn't burned like most GF pizza's around town (hence the one star). The sauce was not good. My little one scaped it all off. It didn't have much taste, but it was sweet like they had added sugar, yuk. The pineapple on top was from a can :(. I gave this restaurant one star too since our server was very friendly and ran the show like a champ. I will never go back. Expensive and yucky!

Had a groupon for 30:00 to use at this place got it to use for my sons pizza banquet for his flag football team. The waitress told me I couldn't use it because on one group at a time could use it. I then showed the waitress the rules for using it and it clearly stated one per table. She then became rude and said she will do it today but she shouldn't. She became short and more rude as service went on. And by the way we called to make reservation but where told we didn't need to because they are not busy during afternoon hours. But when I get there she tells us she wishes we would have made them. Your working in a place that probably seats 80 people and now your irritated that you have to work. This place is a joke and I will never be back again
(1)Christian R.
friend surprised me with a takeout pizza from bison creek, half ray ray's bbq chicken and half blazing bison wing pizza. I started with the ray ray's and was mighty impressed. then I tried the blazing bison wing pizza. oh my. that may have ruined wings and pizza for me from anywhere else. the wing sauce was tangy and just spicy enough to not overpower. I really need to go back there and try it again. that was the best pizza I've had in quite awhile. the crust may or may not have been gluten free, my friend couldn't remember which she ordered. it was thin and crispy. I'm guessing it was GF just because it didn't seem leavened, but it worked really well with the toppings.
(5)Kenneth B.
Service and food have declined over the years. Won't try again. Many better options in B town
(1)Trisha F.
Boo!! Never waited so long for service at a restaurant. Also pizza was not good & definitely NOT worth the wait.
(1)Brooke J.
I had a horrible experience here on 5/10/14. I made reservations so we were seated right away. We arrived at 6:45 and did not leave until 8:30. Our waitress rarely came to our table and I either had to flag her down or go up to the counter for a fork or a refill. When we finally ordered, she bought a large (15") instead of a medium(12"). We were so hungry after waiting so long for our food we started eating right away. After we realized it was a large, it was too late and she charged us for the large. The pizza was ok, not my favorite and nothing special. When we asked for dessert, she huffed and puffed and said they were out. We asked another lady and she said they had it. I think our waitress wanted us out of there almost as bad as we wanted to leave. We had to wait 10 minutes for our check and almost walked out. Bottom line: I would not come here again.
(1)Joe B.
After having this place recommended by a friend as the best pizza in Seattle, we were excited to try out Bison Creek's pizza. Unfortunately, this was the worst pizza I have had in quite some time, including Dominos and Pizza Hut. We tried a half #2 and half Spicy Wing pizza and we were seriously disappointed in the quality and (lack of) flavor. The service was only OK - we felt bad for our waitress as she was the only server in the restaurant. We will not be making another trip to Bison Creek again. I recommend you steer clear as well, unless you are seeking overpriced, really bad pizza.....
(1)Chris S.
The perfect blend of run down, hard working, booze swilling to set off the food. I'm kinda picky but this place gets all the passes for me. Service meh. Decore meh. Food yeah. It all works for me. Its semi dark and I love that. You can hide in the corner and enjoy it or hate it to your hearts content. Ill be back
(4)Joseph J.
70 minutes is too long to wait for a pizza - even on a busy Friday night with groupon customers. To be fair, there is a "disclaimer" on the door as you walk in letting customers know that due to the groupon ($30 of food for $15) the pizza will take longer than usual. But - they should be prepared for that. It didn't look very organized: we saw other groups seated after us served first. And, the pizza was not even worth waiting for: tons of gloppy cheese and a mediocre crust. Then again it was cheap. I won't be coming back here for pizza. The bar does have lots of different beers on tap which might be worth checking out, however.
(2)Brittany P.
Try the gluten free crust.
(5)Heather G.
Great service, great decor, AWESOME food. Loved it. Went on a groupon deal and will def. return.
(5)Samuel M.
My family had terrible service at Bison Creek Pizza. We went in last Thursday (5/1/14)at dinner time because it was really hot out and their deck was open. An early sign of trouble was every table on the deck was a mess, but we pressed on anyway. We sat outside over twenty minutes without a waitress. In fact no one came out to check on the other two tables that were already seated on the porch. I finally went inside to collect menus and request a server. We were able to order sodas and some dinner. There was something white floating in my 7up, but the waitress had already disappeared again before I could ask her to replace it. I used my straw to fish it out, because it was still hot and I couldn't wait. I finally went back inside to complain about the (lack of) service. There were only two waitresses working and the one I spoke with said they were very busy, but when I looked around the restaurant wasn't half full. The food was the bright spot of the visit. My pulled pork sandwich was hearty and was on a nice toasted sandwich roll. My wife and daughter split an order of chicken tenders which looked hand breaded. My wife was suprised that a chicken tender dinner didn't come with french fries or something. It was just three chicken tenders in a basket. They were in luck, I shared the fries from my sandwich which was pretty big. The meal was very reasonable in price and if it weren't such a hassle to get table service there I would think about going back. Maybe we'll call ahead for takeout some time. Great porch with umbrellas over the tables with above average food, but this is marred by the lousy lousy service.
(2)Sonja J.
Im thrilled they have gluten free crusts, but is just so-so after an hr. it's just dense and dry and flavorless when you reheat it (don't microwave it, toaster oven or cold). It's better than no pizza though. I prefer to eat in so it's fresh at least once before I take the leftovers home, but I don't dig the dive atmosphere, so I usually do take-out and race home to eat. Their pizza options are creative, and I like most. The BBQ one is a little boring though, I can pour BBQ sauce on toast and it would be better. I appreciate that they have vegan cheese, but it's a slimy disgusting mess. The regular crust is good, but for gluten free ... It's better than no pizza but not the best I've had.
(3)Lindsey B.
One of my favorite spots in Burien! Their pizza is delicious and the waitresses are amazing and nice! I normally go on Fridays for the buffet - as much of the salad bar and pizza bar as you want! The pizzas are always freshly made and hot. They have soups up by the buffet too if you prefer that.
(5)Mazz L.
Been wanting to try their gluten-free pizza so our family went and ordered half the spicy jalepeno and sausage, half pineapple bacon pizza. I liked the texture of the crust but the toppings are overly salty but still managed to lack flavor. The salad bar was mostly a big bowl of old looking lettuce among a few other salad items that looked very old and wilted and totally killed my appetite for a salad to go with our pizza. There was only one staff serving as bar tender and waitress. We were ignored most of the time. Won't be going back for their pizzas or service as they are better places.
(2)Jordan L.
Great Pizza! Reasonable price and cool atmosphere. A very relaxing place to grab a pizza with some friends.
(4)Nicole J.
So had I reviewed this after our first time there, it would have been a 5 star review. The food was really good and the service was amazing (sorry I forget her name but she has a short white blonde bob)..The second time we went the service dropped from amazing to are you kidding me? She (black hair pony tail/45ish) brought so many wrong drinks that she wound up comping most of them, forgot part of our order so on so on...So we decided that she had a bad day and a couple weeks later went back...Ahm...we should have checked who was working..Yes It was the same lady (black pony tail, probably around 45ish) And I really should mention that it was about 3pmish and the place was EMPTY...maybe 3-4 tables occupied. What went right? NOTHING...and to make it worse she brought me the wrong change (I paid cash) and it was way more then I should have gotten. So I called her over and explained. She ditzily went off to investigate..then brought me a new set of change...This time she SHORTS me $10 really? Were you asleep during ALL your basic math classes? Off she goes giggling...Lady...you have got to get it together because you are just not good at what you do.

I've probably dined here ten times in the five years I've lived in Burien. Looks like the tenth will be the final. Went in yesterday to get a pizza to go to to take care of my pizza craving. My wife was out with her friend so no home cooking. Ordered a large Bison Creek Pizza and wings to go and tipped quite well. The place was full since people were watching the 3rd Seahawks pre-season game. Since all the tables were full I waited at their outdoor seating area. Went back inside and ordered a beer. Went back outside and read. Gave them extra time since they were full and thought it may take a little longer than usual. Went inside once, the waitress seen me and didn't say the pizza was ready so I went back outside and read some more. Went back inside again and notice a lot of people had cleared out by half time. The waitress looks up and says OH, reaches behind the door and grabs my boxed pizza and wings. Noticed that it didn't feel very hot - maybe a little warm. Got in my truck opened the pizza box up for that first and greatest bite. What a let down. No burning the roof of my mouth with this luke warm pizza. Can't wait to try other pizza joints in the area. Suggestions. When a pizaa is done look outside at you outdoor seating area. It only takes 30 seconds. Maybe get a mike and speaker set up in case your employee is to lazy to look outside.

Been here many times. They have yet to let me down! 6 Big Screens,Extremely Good food, and a fun staff. Love the dark wood decor and huge bar. Great place to watch your favorite team while enjoying a pizza and brew.
(4)Dan B.
great service. maybe it was a flux, but the pizza was beyond awful. frozen cardboard tasting. way overpriced as well. and I totally regretted eating pizza there (as the national pizza chain stores would have a much better pizza for half of the price). was truly beyond disappointed.

I found this place by accident. I had already eaten but the Yelp reviews made this place look appealing. I went in to check out their tap list and was impressed by the selection of beer, thus inspiring me to check out their menu. So, I made the half hour trip back to Burien a week later. Damn good thing I did. PARKING: There are a few lot spaces in front of this old school strip mall. Expect to park on the street on the busy days/nights. VENUE: It's in a commercial zone with a few restaurants on the street. Luckily there is a big sign on the street that makes this place easy to spot. Inside there is one main room which includes the bar. There is also a small game room (mostly for the kids). DECOR: There's wood all over the place. This looks like a pizza place you'd see in Wyoming. TVs are found around the room and they have a projection screen for the big games. AMBIENCE: This place is definitely kid friendly. Though 'pub' is found in their name and the taps are quite visible, the place is not inundated with beer signs. It is definitely more of a pizza house feel, far more than the appearance of a bar. FOOD: I was disappointed in their wings. Their sauce is tasty, but they don't drench the wings enough. Other than that, their Greek Goddess pizza was pretty damn good with its artichoke & sun dried tomato goodness; the crust with not too thin and it was crisp and held the piece straight. I would also highly recommend their smoked Gouda mac & cheese; they put a lot of cheese on top that forms a crust, keeping the insides nice and moist. BEER: 22 taps when I was there. They carry a few commercial beers, a lot of Washington beers, and some of their selections I find to be very good choices. The beer is definitely the selling point if you like craft beers with a good pie. I can't think of another place in the Seattle metro area that has a beer selection as good as the one here. So, thank you Bison Creek for putting together a choice beer & pizza spot. I now have a place high on my list that is family friendly, free of self-promoting gimmicks, and does not subject me to big hair rock bands the whole time I'm there. I shall return again and again.

I have to say this is not a place I would return to and grateful I had a groupon. The salad bar tasted like everything had been sitting out for a while, nothing tasted fresh about it. We ordered the Steeler Special on a wheat crust (trying to be healthy) and was very disappointed. The pizza came to the table, looked good and was covered in melted cheese. After taking a couple of bites we came to the realization there was no flavor to this pizza at all. The cheese had a texture that was grainy, making me feel like it was not real cheese, at least it felt and tasted that way. The leftover pizza was never touched at home. The service was okay, just very slow................

Yum! The hubs and I were brought in from a groupon deal. Upon walking in, we were greeted like we were old friends and asked what type of beer we'd like. After that things only got better. We watched football, ate delicious pizza and bread sticks and enjoyed a few tap beers from their extensive collection without feeling rushed or neglected. Overall a great family place with a casual atmosphere. We can't wait to go back I recommend the buffalo chicken

I was excited about trying this place because I love Mom & Pop restaurants, especially pizza joints. Bison creek was a let down in flavor. I thought that the all-you-can-eat lunch for $7 was a really good deal but that's where my excitement stopped. The salad bar was pretty typical, a number of good toppings that were fresh. The pizza and chili, however, were a disappointment. They had four kinds of pizza to choose from and I tried all four. Each of them had different toppings but had it been a blind taste test, they would have all been labels as identical. Each one tasted like the other, kind of bland and disappointing. The crust is probably the weakest downside. I love a good crust and this was not, it was flat and yeasty with no other real flavor than yeast. The sauce wasn't terrible but nothing to write home about. At the end of the pizza line was a big pot of chili, which was kind of boring, watered down and tasted like it came from a can. The last thing, which is always a high priority for me was service. Yes, we were having the server yourself lunch but our waitress was less than friendly and really seemed like she had to be there rather than wanting to be.

When I walked in, I found the inside to be dark and dingy looking. I felt like the table hadn't been cleaned in years. Had to get napkins from another table. The salad bar is mediocre. For the price of the pizza, I felt like it was just okay. Next time I am in the area and have a craving for pizza, I will go to Roundtable Pizza down the street instead.
(2)Sarah R.
I ended up back at Bison Creek because some friends of mine wanted to try it. We had pizza, beer and the salad bar. I definitely enjoyed the pizza. Way better than my first experience. It was truly delicious. I was not as impressed by the salad bar. They charge per visit to the bar.. seemed a little odd. THEN I bought an Amazon local deal yesterday and decided at half price... What the heck... I'm going to try Bison Creek for a 3rd time! This time I was with my hubby and mom. We did not get the salad bar. Just a large half veggie supreme/half Greek goddess pizza. The pizza was so effing good. Honestly... how do they get the crust so crispy!? I'm sold. Totally sold on this pizza. Yum.
(4)Alexa J.
My boyfriend and I walked in the other night, no one even said hello. We walked to the cash registered and this blonde sort of just brushed us away and said she'd be with us.. so we waited for 20 minutes and finally got up and left.. So frustrating I could literally see two tables that just needed to be bussed that we could have sat at.
(1)Kate V.
Our family is gluten free and dairy free, and Bison Creek has alternatives for both! When we order by phone for a dine-in option, we ALWAYS show up to a reserved table and delicious pizza. You can't beat that kind of service. The kids love the old school arcade room. I love the freedom to eat knowing they're hanging out in the arcade. My husband loves all the TV's with the constant sports action... There's something for everyone, along with really great pizza.
(5)Kelly M.
Really good pizza~ The first time I came here was for a friend's birthday and I completely fell in love with their Firehouse pizza. The crust is baked perfectly, crispy and fluffy. Plenty of fresh toppings and right amount of sauce. We had the veggie pizza as well and it was very tasty too. The second time I visited, I had to order to go. I opted for their spaghetti and garlic bread which turned out to be just okay. Nothing special about it. Service here is good. The staff is friendly but they seem to be struggling in keeping up with all the tables. I come here for the pizza, can't say for anything else unfortunately.

We tried this place because of a Groupon offer, and we're glad we found out about it. The restaurant itself is located in an old theater and is watm and inviting with hardwood floors and a roadhouse vibe. Their beer selection is huge, and includes a number of seasonal, local, and craft brews. I enjoyed an Oak Aged Yeti stout, an amazing local/seasonal/limited release beer, and highly recommend it. We started out with the meatball sliders app. We expected wee meatballs on wee buns, and were wrong. There were four sliders, and each had a meatball the size of a child's fist, slathered in marinara and globs of melted mozzarella. Each one was had to be about the same weight as a hamburger at many restaurants. The meat itself was a little boring, but the marinara was great, and that combination, along with the mozz, made for a very ample and tasty starter. Actually, the starter pretty much finished us; we could barely eat our pizza. We got a BBQ bacon chicken pizza. It was loaded with toppings, including fresh cilantro and so much cheese you would almost say it's too much. Almost. The crust was thin and cracker-crunchy; keep in mind if you require softer crusts. (Side note: I ate a slice several hours after getting home and putting the leftovers in the fridge, and the crust had turned soft and just-right-chewy.) Service was OK, not bad at all but not special. Seahawks game was on. We'll be back!
(4)YJ ..
Service was slow yet staff is helpful and usually nice. The food is decent but I just haven't had any luck finding "great" pizza lately... Its also lost its appeal from when I used to visit when I was much younger. Could be better... [Went on a Saturday, slow/early dinner hour & a Friday night, busy hour]

I first experienced Bison creek pizza in 2003 driving from Everett for pizza, It was by far the best pizza I had ever had, we went back many times. Unfortunately sometime during the last year 2013 they changed something with their crust and/or the way they cook it. Now it is nothing to go back for. I brought a large group to Bison Creek this last March and the pizza was terrible. I decided to give it one more try just recently and it was the same no good. I do hope that they will read this and change back to the style they previously had, The House of pizza in Seattle was a great place to go until they also changed their style, They are now out of business.
(1)Katelyn G.
I haven't been here in years. Not since they revamped it from the kind of cool dive feel it had. I wasn't sure how I'd like it, and I have to say I loved it! The pizza was delicious, the drink I had was amazing, and the server was sweet, attentive and helpful. Awesome.
(5)Aaron S.
Amazing pizza. Great service! I recommend the "Stampede". My only complaint is that some of the appetizers and non-pizza menu items are mediocre at best, but then again it's a pizza place.
(4)Alexandrea P.
So, the main reason why I have given this place a 4, is because their pizzas with the garlic creme sauce, is sooooo good. I love their chicken bacon pizza, and their heartattack pizza. My family and I went the other day for their salad bar and pizza lunch special. Well, I can say it is NOTHING to be impressed about. There are a few options to go with your salad, but, not enough to make me want to go back again specifically for that. I did not try the soup, but my father said it was pretty decent. I think the hilight was the ooey gooey cheesy pizza. Most pizzas I've had, had just enough cheese to prevent the toppings from falling off. No, the pizza is nearly white from cheese. If they were able to work on their salad bar, and keep it stocked with pizzas, then they might get more business.
(4)Rob J.
I would love to love BIson Creek. If I ever get to taste their pizza. Let me explain- I have called four time for take out, one time was too late (10:10PM), one time the said the kitchen was closed (8:30PM) on a Saturday, and two times "Kitchen closed" at f'ing 7:30 and 8:00PM. Okay I get it you do't want to make a pizza after 7:30 pm. SO a big fail on trying to get a pizza. But the jokes on them 'cause I can go buy a pizza anywhere, I never think of Bison Creek.

Okay I can't help but give a 5 star review, and mine don't come as easily as others, especially for restaraunts. I had been here on two other occassions but for whatever reason I had not sent a review. So, I am giving this review based off the WONDERFUL experience that I received just recently. I literally had the best bartender I have ever received in months in the middle of the day. What surprised me was I normally come during the evening and had NO CLUE there was an all you can eat between certain times of the day! So I WLL Be back. Not just because I used an expired Groupon (which I do need to make sure I use them in the time stated SMH) but because of the experience and great service I stayed a lot longer and spent a lot moe than what I wanted. I can't express to you even more on the good service, and oh yeah the barbequed pizza was great also!
(5)Clayton J.
The name alone makes you wonder if someone stole these recipes from some Native American Tribe. In its heyday, it was probably the best pie in the Puget Sound, but unfortunately the years have not been so kind. It's still a thick hearty pie, but for me, it doesn't have all of the original zip and zest that made this place so popular that locals didn't talk about it in fear that word would get out and they might not be able to get a table inside. There was also a California Avenue location, but it close almost 20 years ago. Bison Creek was the original gourmet pizza in my book. In a time were only chain pizza did big business, Bison Creak was the official pizza place of families, business and every south Seattle softball, baseball and soccer team. It's the kind of place that grabs you from the 1st slice and with every slice you have a new question like. What's the name of the pizza, what's the name of this place, how long has this place been here? No question that this place has fallen from grace, but still a must try pizza for anyone that resides in the county.

My bf and I were riding one night just trying to familiarize ourselves with the area (we're new), decided that pizza sounded good and came across Bison Creek. We parked and stalled for a bit thinking that the name itself didn't sound too appetizing, but said wth we'll give it a try! So upon entering we discoverd that they were close to closing, there were a few people still there having a couple beers and what not and about 3 or 4 workers. We asked if they were open, they said yes and so we sat down at the bar and ordered and had a beer while waiting. It's extremely dark and creepy feeling in there! We decided to try some type of white sauce, 4 meat combo (a suggestion by the bartender) and waited forever and a day for our pizza to come out...it took like 40 minutes, I kid you not!!! Anyways, to make an already long story a bit shorter, it was disgusting!!! First of all I'm not too fond of my toppings being underneath a mass of cheap tasting cheese! Not only was the cheese cheap tasting, the meat was trailing right behind it! Umm...never again...sorry Bison Creek!
(1)Sherri D.
I've always worked with gals at the front of this pizza joint. They are all so helpful, friendly and as fast as possible. They have the best gluten free pizza crust that I've found in Seattle. I get a GF pizza for my partner and an order of wings for myself! Don't pass up their salad bar either! My drive home is about 7min (always to go) and the pizza and wings are always still hot and fresh! Absolutely great place to go for adults, kids, people with food allergies! Hell, there's a bar...have a beer while waiting for your to go order!
(5)Christopher G.
Best damn pizza I've had in a long time... Plus the service was as good as it gets.
(5)Stacie W.
My favorite local pizza! They could work on the atmosphere and the salad bar is just ok. But the PIZZA and beer!!! YES!!
(4)Strawberry S.
YAY! Pretty good food, extremely friendly and prompt service! Super casual relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be back in the near future.
(5)Gina T.
Celiac's suffers fear not, Bison creek has your back! What's that lactose got you in knots? They have the pie topping with you in mind as well. Being a tradition neighborhood pizza house with more a ton of options makes Bison Creek great, but what sets them apart is their offering wheat or gluten free crusts and even the option of soy cheese. Even my most omnivorious friends are fans of the alternative options. The vintage bar, friendly staff and swanky remodel doesn't hurt either.
(5)Dominica R.
Chicken bacon ranch grinder=Yuuuum! Try it you will love it! Fair pricing and friendly staff :)
(4)Daren D.
Honey Mustard Chicken Grinder [Sandwich]. Comes with an option, I pick Lays Reg Chips. I asked about fries, but I think she said they don't serve fried foods there---don't quote me---but that's both a good, bad, and unique thing... it was a simple, tasty sandwich... also an iced tea. The space is great, and what they did with it was cool. Stuff on the website is pretty funny, too: "Chicken Strippers (minus the pole and bad DJ)", etc. Spacious booths and great screens for the games. An arcade is in the corner, but didn't peek at it.
(4)Michael C.
Pizza and service was awesome! Brandon and the girls know, understand and demonstrate customer service. My girlfriend and I enjoyed a great date night. Thanks again.
(5)Stephanie P.
I only ended up here because my tap dance class (who apparently all live in Burien) decided to have a little holiday shindig, and chose Bison Creek. I figured it was one of those out-of-the-way hole-in-the-wall type places where, sure, you have to drive 20 min to get to it, but it's SO AWESOME that it's worth the trip. Uhhh... not exactly. Inside, it's nothing fancy - wood-paneled walls, high booths with vinyl seats, and wooden tables and chairs. It has a very open and unfinished feel, like they knocked out some walls but didn't really know what to do with the open space, so they stuck a couple of claw games and a vending machine in there and called it good. I wasn't super-hungry, so I ordered a cheeseburger ($7.25), which the menu did not say would be served on a baguette. The burger was fine, though the lettuce was soggy and limp, and it came with a bag of chips instead of fries. Someone else got the pesto bread appetizer, which was a half-baguette slathered in pesto and topped with feta ($5.95), and she said it was really good. To be fair, I didn't have the pizza, but it didn't look like anything special - just typical, kinda greasy, pizza-parlor pizzas. They do offer thin-crust wheat & gluten free pizzas for $9 that are 230 calories or less. Pizzas start at $9.95 for a 9-inch small and go up to $26, and they serve calzones, pasta, grinders, salads, and burgers too. Whenever I see a tip jar on the counter, it's a clue that no actual service will be offered, hence the begging. That's how it is here - you order and pay first at the counter, and when your server brings your food, that is the last time you'll see them. The cashiers were polite but distracted, and paying took a long time despite having two registers open. This is the kind of place that sells homemade ranch dressing by the jar, and that's probably all you need to know about Bison Creek Pizza.
(2)Booji B.
This is a not really a pizza restaurant, but a bar/pub that also serves pizza so parents can bring their kids while they drink. The staff are nice, but the pizza really sucks and is expensive for what you get. The crust seems frozen pre-fab and the ingredients are ho-hum - it is like cafeteria-style assembly pizza made completely from bags of bulk ingredients from some generic food supplier. If they didn't serve booze, they would be out of business because the pizza is bad. We tried this place twice in 7 years, and felt ripped off and full of regret both times. So if it pizza you are looking for, not a kid friendly drinking hole, try Pizza Verona and Pizza Gallery.
(1)Jack T.
When you want a from scratch, tons of options, piled high real pizza this is where you go whether you're from Burien or not. Skip the delivery and get off the couch if you are a local you need to try this out. It's been remodeled but not so much that it lost the charm it had from growing up here. The old antique bar from the original movie theater is still there, but they've added a huge projector screen where you can bring big groups and catch a game. The salad bar is well stocked and enough for a meal for the Veg Head in your group and the seating is super family friendly if you have ankle biters in your group. I've heard great things about some of their live entertainment and plan on going next time to check it out.
(4)DM W.
Truly a neighborhood gem! When you step in here, you are treated to friendly service and great food. And they've got a great list of beers on tap to boot!
(5)Brock D.
I like this little place here in Burien. Rarely do you find that old comfortable feeling in a pizza place that I remember from my childhood. That uniqueness in decor, the small arcade for the kids. The pizza here is well above average and the staff is generally friendly and competent. My biggest complaint about this restaurant is that their salad bar is frequently overlooked by staff, often the vegetables are stale and it is clear they were cut a day or two before. I can suffer a lack of freshness in the salad bar for a good experience. Also- Feta pesto bread with sunflower seeds! Yum!
(3)Tracy P.
Just tried this place out with a Groupon deal and it was excellent. We shared a medium pizza with ricotta and garlic, delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of beer on tap and my boyfriend was very happy with the selections available. This is a hidden gem in old Burien and worth the trip. I'm happy to advertise it as a new favorite. We're adding it to our wedding website for our out of towners to grab a casual bite and a pint. Oh and they have a pinball machine which = awesomness.
(5)Tammy C.
Ugh! Dad went in the other day and had the worst experience with the girl running the till and bar. Seems an order of a small sausage and olive pizza is waaaaaaaaaay too hard to remember and that's AT the till for Christ's sake!!! And Mac and Jack Ale is the hardest beer to pour. Ever. Horrible.
(2)Kristoffer B.
Great vegan pizza! Their vegan cheese (possibly Daiya) is delicious and they are generous with it. The same goes for the toppings; they are fresh and plentiful. The service was great both times I went. It wasn't too busy midweek, so the servers were very good about checking up on us and making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere and decor was perfect, very comfortable and inviting. They have a beer menu at each table listing all their drafts, including where they are brewed, abv, etc. This is a nice touch when trying to pick something new. Overall, one of the best vegan pizzas I've had.
(5)Josephine L.
In again with family on a business trip...this continues to be our stop. And I often get calls that they're there while we're back in Southern California. Still a great pizza - it's all stellar. Sure we all like our different pies, thin, thick, cheesy, saucy, what-have-you. But this just combines it all perfectly. Still have to say to stick to Mediums for the center crunch. But always pleased and have a good family dinner while there...
(5)Kristina J.
Bison Creek is our new absolute favorite place in Burien. I was just complaining to a friend that I had seen only a couple *great* pizza places since moving here from Chicago, and she recommended Bison Creek, which is kind of hiding on 153rd away from the busier 152nd. The tattooed bartender was great - she knew her beers well and answered every question I asked (quizzed) her about. We had the Greek Goddess pizza with a white sauce and tons of veggies. These pizzas aren't huge for the price, but they're amazing. Hands down one of the best pizzas I've had in my life. Not only will I be coming back again, I'll be spending much more time here than I probably should...
(5)Jill E.
The pizza was very good, the other food my family had was fine, however, these folks lost a star for the worst service we've had anywhere lately. We got there and yes there were five adults and two children. However, at that time it wasn't crowded since it was only noon on a Sunday. The menu says all pizza is cooked to order so it might take a bit of time - to my way of thinking, an hour and a half is more than a bit of time. By the time we got the pizza the kids were so hungry they could hardly stand it and so were the adults. For most of the time they only had one server who was running herself ragged. We got our initial drinks and never saw her again. We probably won't go back.
(3)Sam E.
WOW. Best pizza place that I think I have ever been too! Right by my work, so I have been here probably 3 times in the last month and I have to say that it never gets old. The crust is AMAZZZZZZZZZZING! IT is breaded with garlic and other herbs that make it Delicious. Also, the chicken wings are great for sharing as an appetizer as me and my coworkers get them a lot. Also, I am very impressed with the lunch buffet. You get unlimited pizza and salad, which is also amazing for 7.25! Great place, definitely worth coming out to Burien to try. This pizza is as good as it gets, period.
(5)Kelly N.
This was not a good experience at all. Not only were there kids running up and down the aisle, throwing things and being loud, but the pizza made me sick. Literally. I'm not sure how pizza can go so wrong. We ordered their house combo special. It was probably the worst pizza I've had in a long time. Dominos is better. Not only that but there were only a few other people in the entire restaurant and it still took our waitress 15 minutes to get us a beer refill. After we got home my stomach started hurting terribly. It still does the morning after. We will never go back to this place. Stay away.
(1)Jason D.
Interesting reading the negative reviews below. I bought a Groupon to try them, and used it for their lunch buffet with a friend. Enjoyed it very much. Have returned several times now for lunch- if you like cheese, you will love their pizza (they are very generous with the cheese!). Sauce has a nice spice to it. Soups are very good as well, And the Salad bar is great, and has never seemed "unfresh" to me (as indicated below). Even their Italian dressing is homemade (not the yuck italian you often find at a salad bar). I like this place- and their service is friendly and "local" feeling.
(5)Angela L.
The gluten free crust and the soy cheese pushed this from a 3 star to a 4. The salad bar was the only downside. Granted I went for dinner, but it was anything but fresh. The kids enjoyed the games, and the hubby enjoyed the beer choices. I made him choose the gluten free crust and he was beyond surprised that it didn't suck. It was actually pretty good. It was crispy and I would definitely buy it again. I'm just happy to have gluten free options in Burien.
(4)Johnny W.
It's surprising to see several negative reviews. I had a great experience at Bison Creek all the while never forgetting that I was at a pizza parlor. The food was great; we had two different kinds of pizza and an order of wings. The service was what made the visit for me though. Upon walking inside (on a Saturday night) we were greeted and welcomed by a teenage worker. Now really, nowadays how often does that happen! Upon sitting down the guy (I don't remember his name) who obviously was in charge (may have been the proprietor) came right up to our table to welcome us, give us menus and take our drink order. What impressed me the most was when I ask him about the beer selection he asked me what type of beer I liked then promptly brought me several samples of the beers they have on tap. (He did this again during our meal when I told him that I wanted to try an IPA.) Throughout the meal, he really worked hard to make sure that everything was what we wanted. And as more people started to arrive and be seated, he never seemed to lose a step or fall behind. Like I previously stated, I did enjoy the pizza (we had two of their chicken varieties). When I go to a pizza place for pizza and beer, I'm not expecting much: reasonable service, reasonably tasty food and a decent selection on beer. (BTW, Bison Creek has a full bar.) Bison Creek exceeded all of my expectations. I was in the area visiting and was told by the other member of my party (who lives in the area and has come to Bison Creek before) that my experience was typical to all of her previous visits there. I will definitely come back to this place!
(4)joanna T.
we have eaten here many times. I had a groupon to use so we decided to go there for dinner tonight. we were greeted at the door and chose a nice booth. , we shared a large bison creek salad, which is a nice garden salad. Then it was on to pizza, 1/2 pepperoni and black olives and half HI. size large. The pizza was great tasting. they also have non pizza options such as pasta, grinders and more we have been there before and will def go back!
(4)Nate T.
These guys make awesome pizza and have a great, rotating tap. My go to place for pizza in South Seattle.
(4)Grace R.
We ordered two pizza's...a veggie supreme & a Lua on thin crust. The crust was HORRIBLE! I've had better frozen pizza; which is what I think this crust might have been. The pizza sauce was nothing special either. The toppings on the Lua (pulled pork, pineapple, bacon, etc) were tasty, but what is a pizza without good crust? I'm totally shocked that this place has such a good reputation???
(1)Melissa S.
Decided to give Bison Creek another shot. The pizza was much better today. We came in early so it was nice and quiet. The service is still slow. They seem to consistently under staff the restaurant which I find REALLY annoying. If you're not in a hurry or want to just linger and chat, come here.
(3)Kevin F.
When first walking in, the decor wasn't what I expected. It is a little western themed and a little dark. The staff was very nice and attentive. My wife and I ordered the combo pizza with whole wheat crust which was very good! Next time I'm in Burien I will stop by for more pizza.
(4)LJ P.
My first visit was in late December, with a soon expiring Groupon. I went at lunch and was met with multiple signs informing me the wait might be long due to the Groupn deal. It was not crowded though. Too bad. The worst part of my visit was that the server had gotten a voice activated phone for Christmas and wanted to demonstrate it to every regular or coworker. Like many people new to this, she held it at arms-length and spoke LOUDLY!!! I am proud of SIRI to say that her response mostly became "I already answered that request"! Anyway, I ordered the hamburger, which is probably not a great move in a pizza joint. It was previously frozen fully cooked. But served on a french roll- crispy and perfect. Also had the soup (the server's recommendation) that was very good! So next visit was about a month later. The (well-worn) signs about Groupon were still on the doors. I wanted to try a Grinder on that great bread, and I loved it! Also had fries, but requested crispy.. same server "no problem, that's how I have them!". Order a grinder, Pizza, or salad bar looks interesting. Forget the hamburgers.
(4)Narnia P.
Wow. Ordered 2 large pizzas for carry-out and they were expensive (~$60 total). But holy cow were they loaded with toppings! We got Greek Goddess and a meat heavy one. Both were layer upon layer of toppings. And so so good.
(4)Angel M.
Poor service and poor food. The salad bar had frozen eggs and wilted everything. The all you can eat pizza was dry and gross and it took 50 minutes for the cook to get a new pie out...and it was empty tonight. It took almost 40 minutes for us to get a grinder. 40 minutes for a sandwich! I'm never coming back again.
(1)C N.
Good food. Extremely slow service. The servers weren't slow, they were running, but there were just not enough of them, and no bussers. We were told to sit at a dirtytable, as were those nearby us. Over 2 hours, and we still can't get a check. There's only 3 of us...
(3)Monica Z.
We really like this place. I've been coming here since my kid soccer playing days of the late 70s and though it has changed ownership (I believe), it is still a great place to have pizza, beer, watch sports and play video games. I've ordered individual pizzas and had the buffet and both are very good. Pizza is fresh, has that classic tomato sauce taste and includes LOTS of cheese. Great for after sporting events and our softball team would meet here after games. We've also done group lunches to take advantage of the all you can eat salad and pizza and soft drink refills for less than $10. We will be back!
(4)Fumiko B.
The new owner remodeled this restaurant and made it much nicer than before. I went to the restaurant for lunch. I ordered custom calzones with salad. I selected salami, fresh basil and mushrooms for my calzone filling. It was delicious and filling. My husband also loved his Calzone with pepperoni, mushrooms and black olive. Please see photos of Calzones.
(4)Carrielyn L.
If I could do 3.5 rating I think I would. The pizza is good, which is the important part. I love a good atmosphere and I like that about this place. We were taken care of promptly enough but I think they're spread too thin for "checking in" between deliveries of food. The pizza took quite a long time to show up and I felt like the place was a tad over priced. Still, when I don't have time to make my own or it's too late to hit up Papa Murphy's I wouldn't mind hitting up this place again.
(3)brooke p.
The service was really slow and it wasn't busy which was weird. But the pizza is worth the wait and their menu has great variety. The server was very nice and it has an arcade and it kind of reminds me if mom and pop pizza place I used to go to as a kid. I will be back!
(4)Tanna R.
So my fiance and I went there this week and it was just because I had a Groupon to try it out. We had never been there before and figured a nice weeknight dinner outing might be fun. The place is real spacious and was really quiet when we got there about 630pm. It was not busy at all. It wasnt long before our orders were taken. We ordered a fried ravioli appetizer and a Canadian Bacon Grinder and the Mac n Cheese for dinner. I got to say that the salad that came with my dinner before hand was really fresh and I loved the cheese on top! I wish I would have just stuck with a huge salad. My fiances grinder looked good as well, he did mention he didnt like how messy it was with everything dripping out of the end and the bread was a hard toast on it. But flavor was ok, and came with chips. My mac n cheese was a great homemade taste, with smoked gouda cheese. It was really good, I just wish the garlic bread that came with it was a tad bigger, almost large crouton size. Then we had the baked big cookie with ice cream for dessert to share. It was the best part! Hot right out of the oven and some good vanilla on top. Not sure if I would go back unless I had another coupon, nothing really stuck out to me to make me want to come back. Probably to try the pizza and hopefully with a coupon, prices seemed steep for those.

I was really excited to come here. I got a Groupon as a gift from a friend who said it was her favorite pizza place. Big disappointment! This is just a review for the food, since we got a pizza to go (and our limited experience with the staff was great). The pizza: really poor sauce. It tasted like it was mostly bitter tomato paste. I didn't realize they had a wheat crust option, but the white crust was really unremarkable. They didn't skimp on toppings, and the Greek pizza had olives, sundried tomates, a little wilted fresh spinach, some feta and lots of mozzerella--the pictures other customers have submitted seem representative Still, the overall taste was not very good. Maybe my expectations were too high (I'm a bit of a foodie) but I doubt we'll return.

A decent bar with the unfortunate aspiration of a pizza restaurant. My wife and I had high hopes for this place, and I decided to take her there with our son for Mother's Day. Tonight was easily the worst meal we've had so far in 2010, hands down. I cheer for underdogs, so I always give Burien businesses the benefit of the doubt. Bison Creek Pizza double-sucks, because now I think that the reason Burien suffers so much is because its regulars have extremely low standards. The food is terrible. Every single thing is from Costco/Sysco/Cash-and-Carry/etc. The furniture, the plates, the cutlery, the sauce, the cheese, the salads, and everything else that you can get from those bulk suppliers constitutes the vast majority of their offerings. Make no mistake, the food there is awful. In all honesty, I'd equate the pizza with what you'd expect if you're dumb enough to order pizza at the food counter at Target. Our meal started with a sad excuse for a Caesar salad. It was a bowl, the serving-size cereal bowl from Sysco, of chopped lettuce with one (that's right) cherry tomato and some straight-out-the-Costco-bag croutons, with some cheese under. The dressing was on the side, and it was definitely a Cash-and-Carry big-jar-with-giant-lid bulk special. The pizza was canned sauce topped with milky runny cheese on a cake crust. What's funny about the pizza is that it's very clear that all the ingredients were right out of the container from Costco, but the cafeteria at Costco has far better pizza. My calzone was botched in a way that defies sense. I asked for no cheese, the waitress entered "no sauce and no cheese" into the register, but then, somehow, no one from the kitchen asked if there was a mistake. Mother fucker! Who would fucking order a calzone without cheese AND without sauce? Food service is a team effort, it's the cook's responsibility to second-guess wack job orders, and it's the servers' job to second-guess shitty preparation. So I subbed a salad bar and found the same can-borne quality from everything offered. Just piss poor, no quality anywhere. Clearly the salad mix in the giant bag from Costco, with olives, beans, sliced cucumbers, and dressings straight out of their respective bulk packaging. They had fucking bacos. Unreal. Bison Creek's decor and offerings remind me of an big shack on the side of the highway near a ski mountain where they only cater to those who don't know where the hell they are. It's like the owner had a checklist of what he wanted, booths, high ceilings, pizza, beer, and tv's, but never figured out how the different elements should work together. The booths are so high, you can't see the TV's, and I swear there's one of each breed of TV ever manufactured. Old-school Panasonic CRT? Check. New HD flat-screen? Roger. Hazy rear-projection set from the late 80's? You bet. The pizza is more of a deterrent than any beer fan could tolerate, so why offer premium taps? It's just a clusterfuck of poor quality. If you had a giant oven in your house, and you were half as smart as you are right now, you could do a much better job after one trip to Costco. Two assets set BC above their deserved one-star rating: 1) They really do have good beer. As a beer fan, I was drawn here by reports on their awesome selection. I would never guess that someone with a palate for beer would stand for garbage everywhere else in the building. The food sucks, it's crazy. 2) They chose a really good web developer for their website. Looking at their website, it looks like the best place in the world. Turns out it's a shit hole. The super nice bar is just pushed up against the wall, and, since it's not finished on the sides it just has a dusty curtain blocking the side of the literal and figurative facade. Outside of the clearly expensive bar, the rest of the place is just shitty pizza place quality. Nothing special, low expectations all around. Their website got $20 out of me, nice work, sir. Bottom Line: Skip this shitty place. The other reviewers must be insiders, and the owners don't want to serve you good food. There's no reason to enjoy this place, unless you fell from space after living on planet Costco and never had pizza before. It makes Burien an even uglier place to eat. If you're driving south, save some gas and stop in White Center.

What I really liked about this place, was the chill vibe and old school feel of the place. Our waitress was friendly and our cook asked us how our pizza was after he took our plates away, which was nice. I wish the middle parts of the pizza was cooked more though. ;p The parmesan cheese and garlic bread however, was especially good. A friend ordered a calzone, and after trying it, that's something I'd definitely order the next time I visit. For the size of the personal calzone, you get your money's worth. I actually kinda liked it better than the pizza. Overall, staff was friendly, nice relaxed vibe, and service seemed really fast.

Seriously folks. The outdoor deck alone rates up there, and then....the 'zah arrives. We ordered BBQ chicken pizza, and it was so weighty we could only get down two slices. The to go box must have weighed at least 4 pounds :-) The pizza was so good, I stalked the kitchen help to let them know. I am SO going back.

My dad went to the original Bison Creek Pizza location in West Seattle sometime back in the 70s or 80s. Well apparently he was feeling nostalgic last weekend because he requested we try them for dinner. The new Burien location is pretty easy to get to and had a decent amount of parking. The one big negative.it took nearly an hour for us to get our pizza. They were fairly busy, I think maybe half the tables were filled but if I knew it was going to be that long I might have ordered an appetizer. I thought our pizza was okay, but not memorable enough for me to want to take the leftovers home (I gave them to my mom instead!).

This is one of those places I've been going to for as long as I've been conscious. I am very, VERY picky about the pizza I eat, and Bison Creek is one of the few pizza places I will gladly eat at. I love their cheese pizza just for how much cheese the put on it. It is gooey-gooey goodness on a crust! And I am sure they still offer wheat crusts, if anybody wants their pizza to be a tad more figure friendly. My family and I were worried when several years ago, the original owners sold the place. We were happy to learn the place was bought buy people who had no desire to change the place. The new owners also happened to be the aunt and uncle of somebody I went to high school with. My mom and I try to get there for their all you can eat buffet special. All their pizza, salad, and soup you can eat for, I think, $7.99. I also recommended their cheesy bread. Oh yum. It's not fancy pizza, but dang, is it good. They offer a juke box of sorts, and several arcade games and pinball machines, as well as a sticker vending machine thing. Also, there are3 regular TVs in the corners, and one large big screen TV that are all usually playing something different on each screen.

I tried this place for the first time and really enjoyed the quality of the pizza. Its a little on the pricey side but I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for"...and I definitely got a grubbin pie. I would have never known about it if my new roommate didnt take me. Its a pretty chill bar with a couple big screens and a ton of seating. OK back to the pizza, they dont rip you off when it comes to toppings. Its was loaded with thick cut meats. The crust is awesome and cooked perfectly. Right now, I would say this is my favorite pizza joint.

Bison Creek is Awesome!!!! They have SUPERIOR beer on tap. Pizza is so so but the Meatball Sandwich is SO DELECTABLE I could cry! The French Dip is Delicious as well The au jus the first time i went was a bit Saltier than i care for but the 2nd time it was spot on. There is a BEAUTIFUL Antique backbar that seems to be used for storage and is a bit neglected in the oiling department But thats ok i can let that slide. Definitely a place you should check out. Get there before 9pm they close at like 10

Firehouse Special with a pitcher of the Men's Room Red. What could be better? This has to be one of the better pizza joints in the area, my favorite whenever we are craving the food of life. Bread and beer.

When I do munch on pizza its always been good. With milk not high on the list of things my stomach can handle I usually hit the all you can eat Salad bar and a few choice micro-brews. Bison is the place if you are A. Little leauge team of the like out for pizza B. Beer lover or C. Car racing enthusiast I can't comment on bringing your team but I do know that if you like beer tastings hosted by brewers, distributors and brewing companies then you will be excited. I have met many a great beer at the usually bi-monthly beer tastings. The owners are big racing fans of everything but NASCAR. You can meet there early Sunday mornings for F-1 races and usually find some pretty sweet cars out front. They have also hosted large Audi gatherings and other car clubs meetings. Its not un-common for SCCA and other race group members to hold after race things there. It may not be the best food in the world but its good and the people are great. The owners tend to get some very rare kegs of beer that you may be lucky enough to stop in when tapped. There is also a patio during summer time. Just don't park to the west of the building its a pay lot.

I rarely go out for pizza and when I do I really look forward to it. I won't go back here. I came with a friend on a Friday night and we waited an hour for a table which is OK because they had a few huge groups and it was very busy at 7pm. We were seated by a nice hostess who really was doing her very best to keep the chaos organized, we got our menu's and got our order taken in a reasonable amount of time. What was totally unreasonable was the amount of time it took to get the 1 pizza to our table. 50 minutes after ordering I finally caught the eye of our server who was standing behind the bar against the wall with his arms crossed. He came over and I asked if he could check on our order, I was worried it got lost or didnt get put in at all. He didnt say he was sorry but that he would check on it and that he "wasnt to happy about it either." as if to blame the kitchen or on the volume of customers for the slow service. He didnt even offer to refill our sodas. I am convinced it was not the kitchen's fault because food was coming out for other tables that sat after us. So our server never came back to give us an update so 10 minutes later we didnt know if we should leave or ask again. I couldnt locate our server anywhere so I actually got up, went to the counter and got the hostess to check on it for us and within about 5 minutes, suddenly our pizza is coming out. They were really nice to us, gave us free salad bar (which was completely empty of any actual salad greens) and they gave us a %20 discount on top of having a Groupon, that was from the ladies who helped us. As for the pizza, Pizza Hut is better. The dough was flavorless and dense, cardboard like, Im not sure it was even made in house or it probably sat in the cooler, pre-formed for a day before. The toppings were plentiful but it was just very heavy on the cheese and certain items on the pizza that we were looking for (artichoke heart, feta) were totally unidentifiable just because it was so smothered. It really wasn't my style of pizza. I honestly have no idea why people like the pizza here so much except the place reminds me of the places I used to go as a kid and in highschool, kinda old fashioned and fun, but perhaps they need to change to burgers or something else. Sad.

I liked this place very much. They must have had an eighties CD on because we listened to solely "period" music the entire time. We all did the buffet thing, and I may have found it more enjoyable had I not been struck so violently by whatever nasty bug it is I have. As another reviewer noted it is very hearty, usually my thing but when you can't breathe through your nose it makes it a rather dangerous expedition to go through more than a salad and bowl of soup. Though my taste buds were entirely shot I could tell it had a nice hearty crust with a lot of similarities to the type at Spiro's and Olympia's. They have a nice variety and the decor is very striking. I don't think you'll find better pizza in the White Center/ Burien/Seahurst ish area. My seemingly low score is mainly because I honestly can not say what it tastes like. Something I plan to remedy in the near future. I just love a place with never ending iced tea. Edit: oh hey, I like their arcade too. It's not the "gouge you for as many quarters as we can" games that really cheap owners put in that demand a dollar before one person can go to town on a Zombie.

The pies ain't that good. The video games are! Boy, am I rusty on Area 51. The pizza sauce must be str8 outta the can, and the toppings (like da sausage) can be hit or miss...sausage = STRIKE (too salty). The service is good. Atmosphere: Basic Burien - working class with a side of ranch (if ya know what I mean). The little American Flag Pins you can purchase on the way out for $2 can add a little flair to your outfit. Yee-Haw!

I've had better. . . It's not bad, just not great. I had a combo and just wasn't impressed. There wasn't anything to set it apart. Well, the atmosphere is cool. It is a place that I would like and go to regularly if I liked the pizza more.

really good food for Burien/South Seattle. Pizzas are completely different than what you are used to--you will either love or hate the crispy crust and the way the toppings are PILED on. If you love lots of toppings, this is for you. They serve alcohol and beer, featuring bands and DJ's on the weekend, making it a decent hangout spot for late night.

I purchased a Groupon from here a few months ago because I was moving to the Burien area and figured it would be a great way to try out the local eateries. mmmmmmm sooooo goooood!!!!!!! We ordered the bison creek specialty pizza and pitcher of mack and jacks. It hit the spot. Some of the best pizza I have had. the crust was great, the bottom was crunchy while the middle was chewy like a good crust should be. They did not skimp on the toppings either, the sauce is tangy and delicious... everything about the pizza was awesome! Plus it came out fast and hot! They have so many beers on tap here as well which is great for those micro brew lovers. I would deduct a star for the amount of unruley kids there were in the lobby if it weren't for the fact that they had an adults only patio, therefore that would be unfair since we enjoyed the outdoor seating very much. Will return in the near future, maybe after kids' bedtimes to sit inside.

I love Bison Creek Pizza! We have been going here since I was little. My brother had lots of fun baseball parties here. The pizza is great and you can enjoy it in the sun on the deck in summertime!
