Great drinks!!! Cool atmosphere! I came here on a Monday for a night cap because Mondays suck! Ended up having a cool conversation with the bartender and chef. This is a really chill spot and I'm going to try the food next time I come in.

Wild Vine Bistro is nearby and it looked like a fun place to try out. Went there for happy hour a week ago and my experience was just okay. Service was pretty bad. We were forgotten about for most of our dinner and we had to actually go and find our waitress a couple of times, pretty bad for a place so small. The wine and drinks are pretty expensive even on happy hour. The calamari that I ordered was bland and the sauce it came with too sweet. The only redeeming factor was dessert. I had a piece of flourless chocolate cake and it was amazing. Overall for the price not the best. Nothing stands out that would bring me back here again.

I am a little confused over the high ratings. This is going to sound SO snooty, but maybe it's a 4-5 star comparatively for the south Mill Creek/Bothell-Everett Highway area... But the food was truly nothing special. The ambiance is strip-mall conversion trying to be ritzy with cheap blue-dyed daisies in flower vases... Poor beer selection... Tough burger patty.. Too-salty coating on tough calamari... I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again...

Ordered drink and salad. Overpriced - under-provided salad (half of what I could get at say Sherri's - and no better quality) and less than well poured drinks. I will definitely try other options in the area.

New spring menu is out as of today. My wife and I just happened to stop by and were blown away. Love the wine selection here and you have got to try the Scotch Egg!

Pros: Friendly Nice variety of drinks Tasty dessert Cons: Too pricey for the amount of food you get Decor was all over the place; beer bottles in wine holders, grape vines next to liquor, very strange and not put together well Summary: I would not recommend this place as it just felt a bit strange. We went looking for a wine bar and this place felt more like an actual bar. I was put off too much by the atmosphere of the place. It really took away from the good wine and dessert we had.

I went for lunch today with my team from work for our end of year celebration! We had an 11am reservation and they opened right at 11 with our table set up and ready for us to be seated. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Great timing too when it came to taking orders, refilling water, and packing left-overs. The food was very good for the most part. I enjoyed the garlic oil dip they served complimentary with their bread. I ordered the Souther Mac-and-Cheese and it was great! I love spicy food and it was definitely for me as the jalapenos gave it a great heat. If you don't like spicy food, make sure you have them alter the way they make it or order something else! The tomato basil soup was just OK. Other items ordered were the Diablo Burger which my co-worker said was good, and I heard the flat breads were good as well! I'll try to come again during the evening for happy hour as I can't wait to try more food from here!

Great food, great atmosphere, great service! Best burger in town! Solid pastas and salads and a nice wine list, too.

This was my second time at the WVB. I ordered the Korean Gyros advertised as being on home made pita. I'm no chef but I'm pretty sure their pita bread consisted of baked (or maybe fried) flour/water paste. Like the kind you made as a kid to glue paper together. I couldn't eat it. Stay away from the Korean Gyros. My first experience (a few months back) at WVB was great. Food was delicious. I'll give it one more try.

**FIVE STARS** **FIVE STARS** **FIVE STARS** We stopped in for dinner on Valentine's Day (no reservation)...and we weren't sure if they allowed kids into their establishment. The restaurant is dark (bar type atmosphere), and they had a live band playing -- and you know what else? THEY ALLOW KIDS!! They have kiddie menus, crayons, the whole nine-yards. We sat right by the band (which is ALWAYS there on Wednesday nights), my kids LOVED watching them play, and the bassist even played "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" for our three-year old. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates, and the calamari ($10) for our appetizers. The dates were fantastic, and $2 a piece. The calamari does not come with a dipping sauce...but don't scoff at that...they have spiced it up so nicely it does not need any sort of sauce!! My husband ordered the Bolognese ($16) - it's pasta, beef tomato sauce, Parmesan, and herbs. And he would not shut up about how FANTASTIC it was! I ordered the Truffle Macaroni ($17) it's bacon, onion, spinach, provolone, parmesan, and white truffle oil. It was good, but next time - I think I'll get the Fettuccini Alfredo ($15) with chicken ($5), it's pasta, cream, garlic, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, Parmesan, and parsley. Our kids ordered the marinara and the macaroni & cheese (each dish was $6) Your meal is served with bread, our waitress was attentive, and we never saw the bottom of our glasses. We will definitely be back! Especially on Wednesday's...'cause the band ROCKS!

Went here for happy hour, overall good prices for the food and also good wine selection. The thing that is making this review a 2 star is the bartender. Since it was happy hour we were sitting at the bar, he instantly made us feel like a inconvenience. He asked us what we wanted to drink and we asked for suggestions and he had no opinion. As we were ordering he walked away in the middle of our order and never once asked if we were doing okay. He seemed like he completely didn't want to deal with customers. Also when we got our bill he over charged us for 2 things. I'd only go back if this bar tender wasn't working. This is the first bad review I've left on yelp, but I believe the server/bar tender is a big part of your dining experience and I was not impressed.

Wow. I rarely rate anything on any site and I am beyond compelled to share how our first experience here went. It was one of the worst dining experiences either my self or my boyfriend have ever had. We were looking for something close to our home in Bothell and logged onto Yelp for some inspiration. We were certainly led astray! We were excited once we walked in to see a cute bistro full of guests on a Thursday evening. We sat near the back and were greeted by a server who suggested their Captain Crunch encrusted prawns. Well of course we shall try them we said! We ordered a couple of drinks and looked over the menu. When they arrived they smelled great and we dove right in, my first bite was crunchy on the outside and cold, slimy and 100% raw on the inside. When the server delivered our drinks she asked how they were and I showed her the raw shellfish. She gave us look and said, "I'll have them remake them." Never apologized, almost seemed put out. Ok, everyone makes mistakes right? We were still ready to keep our minds open and try more. My boyfriends Margarita tasted like salt and tequila and absolutely nothing else, likely because the bartender spent the majority of our meal texting on his phone and leaning up against the bar. And then there was dinner, after the first round of drinks I decided that cocktails maybe weren't their thing and asked for a glass of Chardonnay. It clear it had never seen a cooler or fridge of any kind. Sweet, warm Chardonnay, just what I was hoping for. My boyfriend ordered the lasagna, it had congealed cheese and appeared like it was popped in the microwave for about 20 seconds. Come on! At least melt the cheese! After not finishing any portion of our meal we were disappointed by absolutely every aspect, the food for all the reasons clearly stated, the service for her lack of attention and the fact that she didn't even comp the slimy prawns. A sincere apology goes a long way. We will NEVER go back.

My husband and I enjoy coming here once a month for a date. It's so nice to find a small, privately owned restaurant in an area where franchises dominate. Food is good, although limited, wait staff are friendly and courteous. The owner is personable and- more than anything- Wild Vine is a quiet little alcove to relax and listen to some nice, live music. One small tip: the dessert menu needs a signature item on it. I always want to order dessert, but the choices are rather predictable and ordinary.

We heard about the new chef and new menu here so we wanted to try it. The restaurant has a warm, inviting ambiance that made us immediately comfortable. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgable and fun! The bacon wrapped dates appetizer was beautifully presented and very tasty! I couldn't resist trying the special "Cap'n Crunch Prawns" and was rewarded with a perfectly cooked, delicious, creative appetizer. Our table also enjoyed the Bistro Burger (juicy, flavorful and big!) and the Reuben which featured house made corned beef. Let's not forget the amazing fresh cut fries! Overall, the experience and the food were EXCELLENT! We will definitely be back!

Flavorliciousioso!! Have been in there twice. First time for apps...Scotch Eggs? Wow, they were good just needed someone (man :) in a kilt to serve them....drinks were on point, service was happening....only reason for an AOK is 2nd time we went in, ordered full course dinner and service was crap. Music was great, too!!! Yeah, we'll go back...kinda like the place.....

Wild Vine is hit or miss and not a lot of consistency. I drop by a few times a month with my wife as the location is very close to our home. On one particular visits we went in for lunch and the owner was working. We had great conversation and the food was fantastic. We dropped back in two weeks later and the menu had changed entirely and it seemed the servers and the cooks could not figure out what the food was they were selling or preparing. I ordered a burger and asked for it to be medium and it came well done. It took 20 minutes for the re-fire and by the time it arrived I had lost my appetite. The key here was that the owner was not working this time around and the focus of the staff was lacking to say the least. The staff made it right by not charging me for my burger but I still left frustrated and hungry. They do have a great wine line, good entertainment on the weekends and fairly good prices for a local bistro. Just beware of the consistency with the food.

Great little bistro for Bothell! I've been there several times and I am never disappointed. Their menu is always rotating so it's fun to try the new items. Wine menu is outstanding, and the staff really knows their stuff. They do wine specials and have live music most nights. If you are looking for a great date night, or family night out. It's perfect! Make sure you are a Hawk fan!

Amazing live music, very intimate setting. Nice selection of wine. HH food yummy. Excellent chef. They have putene. (French fries smothered in cheese curd and gravy)

Had such an amazing time at this local gem tonight! Food, service, wine, band and atmosphere all exceeded expectations even after reading through a lot of great reviews for it. Arrived about 7:30. Packed. A few people waiting for tables. Able to order wine while we waited and were seated within 5 minutes. A very well run establishment all around. Glasses of wine purchased and how awesome is this....if you love it, buy a bottle to take home! Awesome! Had bacon wrapped dates - amazing. Then had the bolognese which was stellar - no skimping on the meat here! Also a burger with truffle fries which are basically to die for All in all a fabulous place for friends or dates. Will definitely be back and likely soon.

If you bought an Amazon Local certificate you can't use it Monday or Wednesday if you buy half price wine, it's in the fine print, no exceptions. We asked for 2 checks, one for half price wine and one for our dinner, which exceeded $30, and the mgr would NOT honor our certificate. So it's a wash, staff was efficient, friendly and the place was pretty packed for a Wednesday. I ask, was the $30 worth a crappy review and word of mouth? Tell 10 people, they tell 10

Very disappointed with the quality of food and service. I ordered chicken entree, which was jus a chicken leg with small amount of seasoning on top, with too salty and thick rice as base. Only thing good was the live music. Otherwise too long of a wait for the tasteless food that was served to me!

  • KENNETH R.

The owner of this place sucks balls. She really should not be running a public establishment because she has not sense of customer service. There are other places close by where the proprietor is not a bitter shrew. I feel sorry for any staff who have agreed to work there and I will bet turnover is pretty high.

Reached the restaurent just in time for some live music. The place is nicely done .. Has a good feel to it along with the music .The place was quite packed but we were lucky to find a table for two. Ordered the falafel plate .. Now it was nothing like what i have had before ... There was less seasoning... The texture was more like a paste . But surprisingly with the sauce nd arugula it tasted good. The server suggested us a malbec wine which was good .Ordered the tiramisu for dessert and that was good too.

I have been a patron of the wvb for many years. What started as a bistro with Italian fare (look at the websites on discription on getting started), has now become something different. It also talks about the chef having asain influences in the menu. I was truly disappointed with the Kalbi Short Rib - very tender - but it was POT ROAST! I paid $25 for POT ROAST! It wasn't even cooked in the sauce that was put over it. The mussels we had for an appetizer did not taste good. They tasted old. The Chef's Special Burger was dry and overcooked. It was not too busy when we came in ... so it shouldn't have been overcooked . I miss the old menu. I like change, but there is hardly anything there that I want to go back for. I haven't seen my favorite mac n cheese with crab for a long time. The last time I came to wvb I had a similar experience with not so great food ... I enjoy the atmosphere, I would hate to lose a place to go. The staff is great! No problems with them. Please, WVB, bring back the Italian fare that you started the restaurant with. That is the place I enjoyed for the food and atmosphere. Last - how can a neighborhood bistro be closed on the weekend? Closed on Sunday???

You must find this amazing little restaurant! While my girlfriends and I have stopped there before for a glass of wine, this past Saturday evening, my husband and I decided to "fetch" something from someplace local and relax at home. I was treated wonderfully on the phone and in person (the place was packed) when I went to pick up our order, regardless of my jeans and sweatshirt (beastly day, don't ask...) The food was fabulous! They forgot nothing, even for "take-out", what a nice surprise! Might I add, the bread and dipping concoction almost caused our little family to come to blows for the last piece! Yum! Yep, it is in a strip mall behind the Bartell's. I know, right? It's always the last place you look! Hurray! Great food, great service, clearly a happy clientele...How cool is that? Thank you, thank you!

My husband and I ate here on Friday for a date night. We sat at the bar and it was a pretty busy little place. I ordered the homemade apple pie moonshine. It came to the table warm and with a sugar rim. YUM! The food came out hot and the Shrimp Arrabiata was so good. Pasta is not my favorite food and I do not eat it So why 4 stars? The bartender could have been a bit more attentive and it took a bit to order more drinks. For the Shrimp the tails we left on in the pasta. Its just my preference that they are removed prior to plating. However this will not stop me from ordering it again, it was that good. Looking forward to going there again in the future.

First of all the food is amazing-as long as you don't mind getting treated like second class citizens. We showed up with a groupon, which immediately changed the demeanor of the rest of the meal. The bartender even admitted (and laughed about it) that the groupon was a ploy to get people in-a lot of fine print which we weren't informed of until the bill came. We spoke with the rude owner who eventually agreed to lighten the bill, not without making us feel completely unwelcome-and than proceeded to over-charge us anyway. (Found out by checking our bank statement) After two days of phone calls the situation was FINALLY fixed. Very unfortunate, the food was exceptional-but I'd rather eat dirt with great service.

Classy place for a "strip mall". has nice ambiance for date night, but still could be very casual. There was a live band setting up while we were dining, unfortunately we couldn't stay to hear them perform. We had 3 small plates and each had a salad. No complaints about the food, great variety and tasted great. Service was good. Everyone was dressed in Seahawks gear for the game earlier that day. Fairly good wine by the glass selection as well, plus a full bar. We will definitely go back!

My girlfriend and I stopped in on a whim for a drink and dinner - who knew we'd get half off wine, local grass fed beef is used, and great service!! Food and wine were fabulous!

Nice wine and a good fish risotto for their price points. Nothing particularly memorable about either, though... I liked the live music, and the place was pretty full for a Thursday evening. If I'm ever in Mill Creek again, I wouldn't rule out stopping by.

Had a wonderful burger the other day for lunch. Awesome service by the owner. She is so down to earth and friendly. My burger was cooked perfectly just the way I requested it; PINK. Their homemade chips are wonderful I could just eat those as an entree. They are a cross between a Potato chip and a fry. Heaven. Awesome local wine list. Service was great as usual. White linen joint with a down home feel. No stuffy peeps allowed.

It started off so great and then it all went down hill. We started with a couple of yummy cocktails and a chop salad. The salad was good and the server was kind enough to split our dish for us. The dark & stormy and the blue vine martini were both great too. I ordered the hangar steak medium and my guy ordered the bacon blue burger with polenta instead of fries. When my steak came out the server asked if I wanted another cocktail with dinner and I said yes. I looked down at my steak and it was NOT medium. In fact my boyfriend said, 'woah, that's black & blue!' and I agreed. It was incredibly undercooked. It was raw with a very thin cooked area on the outside. Knowing I couldn't eat it that way, I asked for it to be cooked more. When it came back the second time, it didn't seem to have been cooked more to me. It was still rare at most. I just couldn't eat it. Not wanting to complain more to the kitchen, I worked on a few bites of my guy's burger, the potatoes and brussels sprouts while my boyfriend worked on my steak. Through all of this, my cocktail never came. My boyfriend's burger came with fries instead of the requested polenta so I reminded our server and she quickly fixed the problem. She was very apologetic and sweet about it. She brought him the polenta right away. We finished our meals (except the raw steak) and the server came to take our plates. Once our plates were cleared my cocktail finally made an appearance at the table. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for so long and we finally made it in only to be sorely disappointed. The server really made up for a lot of the glitches as she was very sweet and tried to fix everything. It just wasn't enough for me to recommend it to a friend.

I've been here at least 5 times. 4 times in the evening after 10pm. In the evening it's a great place too meet up with friends. Happy hour is awesome, and the menu is great! However, this time I went for lunch and brought my kids. I liked my veggie risotto. I didn't have much options on the gluten free menu. They didn't have a lunch menu for gluten free so I ended up paying dinner prices. My kids ordered burgers that were burnt with no taste. They ate it because it cost $15 each. In total I spent over $70 for lunch. I had water to drink, the girls had coke. We had one appetizer of French fries. The ambiance is great for night time. But to be so dark for lunch, open the drapes and let the sun shine in. And advice for the gluten free menu, get some Udi's bread and keep it in your freezer. Well, I'll never go back for lunch. But I will go back for live music in the evenings.

Been at Wild Vine twice, my first during Valentines Day and I have to say the service is exceptional and certain entrees are delicious! One dish you must indulge in is the lamb lollipops with pesto! $15 is a bit pricey in my opinion. Steak was mediocre and ribs were good. Happy hour menu: good fish tacos, not too fond of the Manila clam. The live music and warm ambience creates a romantic lively setting! All in all, would recommend and come back.

**Edit: My original review is below. Wild Vine Bistro pays for Yelps business services, I posted a photo of the clams I ate along with the price and wrote they weren't that good. Wild Vine had Yelp remove that photo. I had originally rated Wild Vine 3 stars and planned on bumping it up for my next visit this weekend. Instead I am dropping them down to one star and not going back. Its really not impressive when businesses pull this. But I guess now they know their clams suck and taste old!** Finally a place in Mill Creek that offers a wine flight! My friend and I came here on a hunt for a quiet happy hour. We ordered some wine and were quite impressed by their happy hour menu. I ordered the clams and my friend went with the cheese plate. I was disappointed in the clams. They didn't taste that fresh and some of them were still closed :/ Not a good sign. I would have preferred them in a garlic wine sauce or pesto- I didn't know this when I ordered it because the happy hour menu just says "clams $5" but its smoked tomato coulis, italian sausage, oregano, which all just didn't taste right- also I don't eat pork so I had to work around the sausage. My friends cheese plate was awesome. I ordered a second plate of cheese because it was that good. I wish they offered more crackers with it but besides that I will be ordering this again for sure.

Really enjoyed this place. it's super close to our home and tucked away in a little strip mall, so our hopes weren't too high. But honestly the portions were good (my husband likes ALOT of food), the waitress was super sweet and funny. I have to admit the chef forgot my husbands beef (I know this sounds crazy) but even with that, they made it right and he even came out an apolgized. Very happy with out little hidden gem

This was my first time visiting and the food, atmosphere and service (thank you Danielle B.) was beyond expectations. Located in a little strip mall, you do not expect the lovely ambiance or the lovely food. They were very child friendly as well, surprisingly bringing my son a plate of sliced apples while we had our appetizers. He asked for many refills of apples and they kept them coming with a smile. My salmon dinner was cooked to perfection, the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp was by far the best Alfredo I have ever tasted, and my husband had the Diablo burger which was also fabulous. Only complaint was that the sliced avocado on the burger was pretty crunchy. But minor complaint. Everything else was fabulous! The chef was also very accommodating to my son's gluten-free/dairy-free diet and made him something completely off menu! Excited to return often!

I went to Wild Vine Bistro for the first time tonight with my sister, brother-in-law, and 6 year old nephew (who can't have gluten or dairy and is a little picky). Everything was great - food, wine, appetizers, music - and our waitress, Danielle, was the best. She and the chef went way over the top to make sure my nephew had something he could eat. When she brought our appetizer, she brought him a plate of sliced apples which he loved. And you should have seen his eyes pop when Danielle brought him a bowl of dairy-free mashed potatoes - made special just for him. We can't wait to go again!

I've been frequenting Wild Vine for a while now. Their staff is always extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The wine selection is a great mix of local, domestic and foreign. I can always find a wine I enjoy within my price range and the wine buyers are always picking up wines from local wineries that you'd have a difficult time finding anywhere else. The food is fantastic, and has improved greatly since they hired their new chef (who is also extremely friendly and talks to her customers!). I like the basics, so I love their Bistro Burger. It was delicious before, but these days it is over-the-top amazing! Even better, the owners buy their ingredients locally from organic, free-range farms. The quality of the ingredients, and the care with which even a simple burger is put together, really shows in the final product. All of the new items on their menu that I have sampled have also had this exquisite attention to quality. The chef can even whip you up some AMAZING home-made corn nuts. Really! (Her rule is, if she has the ingredients in her kitchen, she'll make it for you!) They also have a new bartender, Tristan, from whom I tried an Old Fashioned, which was assembled expertly. He really knows his stuff, and is genuine and friendly with his customers. Honestly, this place has come such a long way, and I am willing to bet any negative reviews are old. They've been working tirelessly to improve every aspect of their business. I highly recommend that anyone check it out, and that those here who did not have a good experience check it out again. You won't be disappointed!

After reading other reviews I was really skeptical about this place. We arrived early (5:45) on a Saturday night and the place was busy. The interior is beautiful and very surprising since its in a strip mall. Our table was average in comfort and space, but we were next to the windows and it was drafty. We put the guys over there and let them deal :) One of our companions has multiple food allergies and our waitress was kind enough to work with her and ask the chef questions so that our friend could have an enjoyable meal. That was so appreciated! Our table had the truffle fries for an app. They were great, but not really fries. They were potato squares. Quite tasty tho. We followed with beet salad (yum), Caesar salad (average), and Bistro salad (slightly better than average). Our beet and Bistro salads had too much goat cheese over the top, but the salads below were well made. For entrees, we had the pork belly modified for our FA guest (delish!), venison burger (quite good, though bun was not great and fell apart), bolognese (good), and porcini rib eye (very good, but medium came out rare... this seems to be a consistent problem from other reviews). For dessert, we had coffee gelato (excellent, though $10 says its straight from a Hagen-daz container...) and some sort of dessert that you had to be 21 to order (decent, but very rich and heavy with alcohol). We did have a bottle of wine with dinner that was quite good. Unfortunately, I cannot recall its name. We found food to be slightly overpriced, but not too bad. Our service was impeccable. Atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Clientele was on the older side, but genial. Our little baby got lots of attention and smiles. You never know how people are going to react in a nicer restaurant, so it was good to see that no one was stuffy about having a (quiet) baby in their midst.

The first time I traveled to this restaurant, I wasn't sure what to expect. It is located in a little strip mall parking center on Bothell Everett Hwy, tucked in amongst a tanning salon and dialysis center...hmmm. When I walked into the bistro, I felt like I had walked into a more upscale place in Seattle. The restaurant has absolutely fabulous decor with dark colors and wood accents. They had live jazz playing and were having a wine tasting. The menu at the bistro is changed seasonally and all their meats come from Misty Isle farm on Vashon Island. All grass fed, organic, local-- and boy does it make a difference in the taste! Before going there, I looked it up on Yelp, and saw mixed reviews. That said, I was delightfully surprised when I received my meal. I am not sure if they revamped the menu lately or what, but, I have eaten here 3 times and every time the food is so delicious. The chicken melts in your mouth and the cauliflower puree is not only delicious, but a nice alternative to mashed potatoes. The pork chops n apple sauce just sounded awesome, so I had to order it and it did not disappoint. So... * Live music every night * Wine tasting every Tuesday * Delicious, seasonal menu * Locally-sourced organic meat * Upscale dining tucked away in Bothell... Definitely worth going!

Went to the Wild Vine Bistro on a recommendation from a friend as I was visiting from Aguanga, CA. The atmosphere was fantastic & they had a wonderful singer/songwriter/pianist playing there named Nikki Schilling. A perfect accompaniment to a wonderful bistro. The drinks were perfect, the staff friendly & efficient. The chef even came out from the kitchen to mingle with the patrons. This was nice in that I was able to compliment the chef on the perfectly cooked salmon with a sauce that was fantastic. The risotto with mushrooms & spinach was a delightful surprise. Anyone who knows me knows I am stingy with my compliments but the Wild Vine Bistro is certainly a place to dine if you are ever in the Seattle area. It was a very pleasant surprise.

Went there a couple of weeks ago with family. The owner was a classmate and best friend. I was blown away by the food. Everything was so good. I started with a dinner salad and the ranch dressing was so good. We had bread with a fantastic Olive oil dip. I had the Steak Oscar ad it was to die for. Cooked perfect and melted in your mouth. We shared a dessert that was Jack Daniels Vanilla ice cream. Yum !! I can't wait to go back. The meal was a bit expensive but worth it. I didn't care for the music.

Wow. I'm impressed. Wild Vine has definitely stepped it up a notch over the last month or two. Since my last review, I've returned several times and have been blown away each time. On a recent visit, my party tried the chicken, the lamb, and the salmon. We all thought it was amazing, 5 star, couldn't be better! Try the roasted cauliflower.. It's to die for! Sit in the bar and be entertained by Jackie - a true asset to this establishment.

We went to Wild Vine for Mother's Day. The food was good but the service was a little off. Even though we had a reservation for 4 people and the dining room only had two tables occupied, they tried to seat us in the bar on high table bar stools! That wasn't the atmosphere I wanted for Mother's Day so I said we wanted a regular table in the dining room. The brunch menu stated that each entree came with fresh fruit but, for our party of four, they only gave us one small plate in the middle of the table to share that only had a small bunch of grapes, two strawberries and two small slices of melon. That was only enough for one person and they should have given each person their own selection of fresh fruit. It was the same situation with the muffins - they cut only one muffin into four small pieces and then served that to our party of four. We had to ask to get another muffin, which they again dividing up carefully into 4 small pieces. Serving just one muffin for a party of four seems stingy, especially on a special holiday for our mom. We weren't offered coffee during or after our brunch. Maybe they were wanting to turn the table over, but the dining room was still only half full when we left! We did like our entrees but felt that the service was stingy all around. I feel that the restaurant would be better served by more generosity and attention paid to the little things.

We went because we had a Living Social voucher; we were particularly excited to try a place in Bothell. Much more crowded than expected. Got a table in the back right by the door to the kitchen where all the dirty plates were taken. Very noisy, and not appetizing. Slow service. Lobster bisque was way, way too salty. Finally got entrees; husband's salmon was not cooked properly, and my hanger steak with chimicurri was barely cooked at all. I had ordered medium rare, but it came to me sliced into completely rare (ok, raw) strips and bleeding all over the mashed potatoes. I had not ordered Steak Tartare. Sent both entrees back. While we were waiting, the kitchen sent over some truffle potato chips. Those were actually pretty good, but they did not hide the fact that it was it was taking forever to get our entrees again. And it went downhill from there. Husband's salmon was still undercooked. On the other hand, my meat was cooked to death. Charred on the outside, and well done on the inside. At least they didn't re-serve the bloody mashed potatoes. We felt very defeated at this point. After taking our (1/2 full) plates, the waitress said the chef wanted to offer us dessert. How could they possibly screw that up...but wait! The chocolate sabayon sounded good, but it was clearly made from unsweetened cocoa with no sugar added. And half a jar of cinnamon on top. A terrible way to end a terrible meal. And I can't forget the music. It was way too loud for the small space. Impossible to have a conversation at all. In short, unless you want to make a meal of truffle potato chips, avoid Wild Vine Bistro. Slow service, undercooked food, and nasty desserts.

This is a terrific little gem located in a strip mall across from the Silver Dollar Casino. Inside is a cozy bistro with a warm homey feeling. The staff is both friendly and professional. We once ordered a lobster bisque and the chef put WAAAAAY too much salt in it. We politely told the waitress that it wasn't to our liking and she removed it from our bill. I'm not sure if they still serve this but I had probably the best steak of my life here and at a fraction of the cost of the high end Steak Houses in the area: ie Daniel's, El Gaucho, Ruth's Chris, John Howie. Their Happy Hour is one of the better ones in the area. Bites are very tasty and inexpensive (Bruschetta, BBQ Pork Flatbread, Calamari Fritti, Beet Salad) while the drink specials are also cost appropriate and plentiful. They have live music certain nights of the week. Weekends can get busy due to the # of tables available but call ahead and make a reservation. You shouldn't have a problem mid week. If you are looking for a great first impression date or celebrating a milestone this place offers everything you could ask for. Besides, you can't go wrong with a place that offers a 21 and over dessert :)

Looks like they have new owners or a new chef and updated menu! Way better food! The live Music is too loud for such a small place. Don't go when they have it unless you don't want to have a conversation at all.

We have driven past Wild Vine Bistro more times than we can count. It never struck our attention and after our visit we realize we have been missing out. Our waitress, Lindsay, and her smile gave us a warm welcome. She was very friendly and helped give suggestions on food and drinks the entire night. We loved the "happy music" as we kept calling it. Everything from Frank Sinatra to Jason Mraz. The best part of our evening was the food and drinks. Our top picks were the Calamari Fritti with pepperoncini, cherry peppers and parmesan, Truffle Chips with truffle oil and parmesan, Risotto Primavera with vegetables and truffle oil and Bread Pudding with apples and salted caramel. After dessert, we ordered another round of the truffle chips because they were just that good! If you like cocktails and you like spicy, you must try the Naughty Chimp. We have never had anything like it, delicious. We give Wild Vine Bistro 5 stars!

I love this place! Its location in a strip mall, doesn't do it justice. The servers are always very attentive and friendly. I don't eat meat and there's plenty for me to choose from. Very romantic setting that's perfect for a date. My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday here and it was one of our best memories. I recommend this restaurant!

I have to say I really liked this place. The food was fantastic and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The prices are a little steep, but I don't mind paying the price when you have live music. It adds to the experience. I will definitely be going back.

I had a Groupon, or I wouldn't of known about this place - I am so glad we went! Even though we were early for our reservation, they were very nice about seating us right away. The place was pretty busy, but our server came by and got us started with drinks. I ordered a wine flight, and I was excited to try the Januik red- wow it was good! The wine list was full of variety and had some unusual offerings. Soon enough came the yummy bread and olive oil dipping sauce; that was a pleasant surprise! My daughter loved the lobster mac & cheese, and the serving was very generous. I had the pork chop, and it was flavorful and super juicy. We liked the live music, and it wasn't too loud from our table. We shared a delicious pomegranate sorbet and chocolate torte for dessert. The only negative was that it was a bit smokey(?) from the kitchen. Could've been a fluke because I haven't seen anyone else on Yelp mention it. Overall, we had a great time with great food and service, and we will definitley return!!

Excellent wine, music, ambiance, service and food! I've tried the calimari fritti, house salad, truffle chips, cod tacos, flatbread and this weekend I was impressed with ling cod special! What if they never make it again?!?! So delish!

I don't want to be harsh, but I don't think this place would survive anywhere outside of Bothell. The food is far from inventive, especially considering the price ($17-30 for entrees). For that price point I expect better, even if it is in a strip mall off of 180th. The ambiance is very nice, and I would welcome other venues like this in Bothell... But if you are going to charge big city prices, how about big city food and creativity? If I would go back, it would be to try dessert and watch the live music.

My husband and I came here for dinner on a Thursday night at 630. We didn't have reservations and were seated right away. The place was a tad bit pack so you may want to have reservations. I liked that the place was dim with candles and live music. I really enjoyed that the live music wasn't so loud. I hate not being able to talk during dinner. Food: Crabcakes:They were not the best I had. Hard to taste the crab, but it was fried perfectly. Lobster Mac and Cheese: The lobster was really tasty, however the mac and cheese was nothing to die for. I read another review where they said it was too garlicky. Mine had no garlic at all =/ Mesa Blue: My husband loved his dinner. It was perfectly cook and the asparagus had blue cheese on top, yum. (He is gonna cook his asparagus at home like that now lol) Too Much Chocolate: OMG good. I accidentally ordered this because I thought this was the dessert the ppl next to us ordered but I'm so glad I miss read the menu. It was pure chocolate (ganche) with whip cream and berries. My husband said he only wanted a bite and then ate half of it! Drinks: Merlo: Pretty good Strawberry Italian Soda:Horrible! It tasted like club soda with no strawberry at all. gross Total Bill:$72 *I think we would come again, because it is so close to our house. I think next time will be happy hour for drinks and that chocolate dessert!

New Chef Yay!! I am now a fan. I just can't say enough, she is a rock star. You can tell that she really loves food and takes pride in it what is coming out of the kitchen. The food is SO MUCH BETTER! The wine was always great and the vibe good. There aren't many wine bars/restaurants in this area so I am very excited that it has improved. A friend of mine lives nearby and talked me in to going back. I can only say everything I ate was delicious and I will be back again and again.

I agree with another review - something has changed recently, and I can't quite put my finger on it. We have been coming here about once a month or so since they opened. Jackie was a great bartender, and the food was delicious and consistent. We went last Saturday for our anniversary for dinner, and had a restaurant.com $25 off $35 certificate. Let's start with the good stuff: I had the special short rib risotto with gorgonzola and carmelized onions and it was AMAZING. Sooooo good, rich, perfect creamy risotto. Vodka martini with a twist was served just right, and I think only $6 or $7 which is a steal! Yum yum. I would have had two... except... The bistro salad was just ok... poached shrimp were undercooked, on the verge of being too raw too eat. My husband ordered the bistro steak. While for $19 we weren't expecting filet mignon, we were still expecting some kind of steak: flat iron, hangar steak, even a small sirloin. Turns out the bistro "steak" is a short rib! If that's what I was expecting, it would have been great. The meat was ale braised with a nice sauce. However, if its a short rib call it a short rib! Turns out we got 2 short rib dishes and that breaks all kinds of restaurant rules. Very disappointing. Service was spotty at best. Unfriendly, inattentive waitstaff make me wonder if she knew she was getting an automatic 18% tip, so she didn't try. I had one drink with dinner, and would have gladly ordered another if I had the chance. We usually tip at least 20%. I don't know..... it feels like things here were good for a while, and now they've changed. Good luck finding your way back. We love this little neighborhood place, but will probably only come back from HH & drinks.

The whole lunch turned out to be a great time. It was fun getting together as a team over good food; talking a little work, but also bonding a little bit as well. It was also fun because we had some people from different parts of the country that were able to enjoy fresh Northwest fare, even if they may not know how to order it (one of my colleagues from Michigan, Maria, ordered salmon and when asked how she would like it cooked, looked confused, and then went to medium to which Laura said "you must be from the Midwest"...made me laugh!). I was surprised that there wasn't more of a crowd in there. The food was excellent, high quality, and reasonably priced. I ended up grabbing some menus and business cards to take back to the office and recommended it to some of my colleagues. It's also a place worth stopping by after work for live music, a great wine selection and more good food. For the full review and pictures, check out deckonfood.com/?p=1516

First of all, I would rate it 3.5...yelp needs to get more granular on this stuff. Now on to the review: The ambiance was decent enough at the place. Candles, generally lower light. The place was packed, though not loud. We examined the menu and noticed that they offered to offer half bottles of wine for any on their menu, which seemed like a pleasant way to sell wine. Plus for that, since it allows you to sample the wine list and match wine to course easier for two people. The wine came and it seemed like it may have been opened, as in we were the second half of some previous bottle...the downside to the policy above, if they don't use adequate vaccum sealing, etc. The salad we ordered (bleu cheese, crisp prosciuitto) was very tasty. Light enough on the dressing, not over salted, solid overall. My wife ordered her dressing on the side, which they forgot about. Not a huge deal, but notable as far as the service goes. The main courses we had were cooked and seasoned well. My wife loved the salmon and my cod special was very tasty. For the dinner, the price to quality was roughly in line. For dessert, we split a chocolate-brandy pudding, which was quite tasty. Had to be 21 to order it, which piqued my interest, which was likely the point. The accidently brought us two desserts, though we quick to take them back and didn't add them to the check at the end. Another minor service item, but sometimes little things can add up to lower a review a half point or so. Overall: Liked the food, thought what we paid for was good for the price (will admit to using a coupon though). Service was ok, with a few minor issues, though enough to make me ding some points. The wine deal (can buy 1/2 bottle of any full bottle ) seemed like a great idea, but I was suspicious of the freshness of that bottle (they didn't show us the bottle or anything along those lines and could have been something different than what we paid for, for all that I know). I would definitely go back, but would be a little more demanding about the wine.

This was my second visit to Wild Vine and I think it's a great place. Yes, the location is odd, but I've had excellent food both times. Tonight I had the beet salad and bolognese (spaghetti with ground beef/lamb marinara). The beet salad is very simple, clean flavors. The beef/lamb sauce was excellent, had a hint of wine. So glad I had leftovers so I can enjoy it again soon. My husband had Caesar salad and the pork chop. He really enjoyed both. The chop was huge. Initially, he was brought the wrong salad, but the waitress was very gracious and replaced with the correct one. We also had lemon drops that were very refreshing on this warm summer evening. I still didn't stay for music, but I would like to check it out one of these days. It is really a treat to have a nice place like this nearby rather than having to go down to Bellevue or Seattle.

Following several visits to Wild Vines at several different times of day, I am convinced that they are putting in the effort required. Some of the earlier reviews may have had merit, but today this little strip mall bistro is doing a tremendous job. The wine selections are a combination of the eclectic and the familiar with a distinct bent toward the Italian. The truffle fries are on point and easy to wash down with a bottle of red. The short ribs, the salmon perfectly prepared and presented. Oh! And the bread pudding...I don't know if they have it all the time, but I've never had any so good. This dessert actually brought a tear to my eye. I know how to make bread pudding, but I can't do this. (they would have gotten 5 stars , but I find it a bit noisy and close)

I was thrilled when this place opened in Bothell. There really aren't many restaurants in this neck of the woods that serve this type of food. We've got lots of thai, lots of chains, but nothing that serves Pork Belly or lobster Mac. (Me thinks most people out here think the Outback is the most amazing thing in the entire world.) Anyway... I've eaten here a ton. Or rather I've gotten to go quite a bit. (And I always get a hard time about that.) The food is decent. Their desserts are better.

We have been to the Wild Vine Bistro four times since it has been open and we will definitely put this on our list of top places to eat or just hang out in the bar for some live music and drinks. We love the Tomato soup, anti pasta platter, bruschetta and scallops but my favorite is the Special salad with blue cheese crumbles; that and a glass of wine and I am set. The live music (every night) is an added bonus. It is really nice to be able to go out for a good meal on a week night and hear some live music while you eat. I would recoment this place. Good food, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. The prices are also very reasonable.

BEST STEAK EVER! Amazing food, drink, service and music!! One of the best steaks I have ever eaten-rib eye that melted in my mouth. The vegetables -asparagus -were cooked perfectly and the potato gratin was simply delicious. Staff was friendly and the music was top notch. Great value! Prices are reasonable. There is no cover charge to listen to some great music-try the crab cakes.

We ve been to the Wild Vine a few times so today I thought I'd review it and our overall impression. This evening we started out with a cheese plate $9 and the clams $12. While my wife enjoyed the cheese plate I had most of the clams. The clams were good but just a heads up they are cooked or accompanied in a red sauce not a white wine like most other places. While I did enjoy them I thought for $12 they were overpriced for what you got. I had also ordered there Caprese salad for $8. When it came out I was a bit surprised, mostly because it was in a small bowl that I finished in about 3 bites. Okay not quite three but these are Grape tomatoes that were cut in half with mozzarella, and it's not a large serving. I will say I did enjoy it, however once again for $8, not worth it, if I would've seen it before, there is no way I'd order it. When this dish came out it immediately reminded me of another overpriced appetizer on their menu, the Bruschetta. It also comes in a small bowl with 4 pieces of bread, where you spoon the tomatoes out, definitely overpriced for what you get. When I think of bruschetta I'm thinking of what I'm getting at their competitor, this isn't it. I often wonder if the owner(s) are visiting their competition to compare there dishes and portions to themselves? I mean there are like 5 Italian restaurants within a 2-3 mile radius, do you think we just eat at your restaurant? Overall I have to give a thumbs down to most of their appetizers (the Caprese is a salad but that can fall under here too). The appetizers are good but most of them are overpriced for what they give you. The only time I would recommend them is during the happy hour where most of these are half price, then I think it's a decent deal, but i don't suggest ordering them outright with your dinner. Our entrees we had were the Salmon $22, and the Lobster macaroni $20. We both thought these were very good and on most of our visits we really enjoy the entrees and never have complaints. The salmon was a good sized portion and cooked perfectly, while my lobster macaroni was also a good portion and tasted excellent. I think the pricing on their entrees is pretty competitive and good quality. They used to make a great rib eye but unfortunately they currently don't have it on this summers menu, hopefully they'll bring it back. Today our service was great but in the past it can be slow, they are hit and miss in that area sometimes. All in all it's a good restaurant that we'll still go to, my only words of advice for people is only order the appetizers during happy hour. Food:4 Value:2.5 Ambiance:4 Service:3

I've been having lunch here for a number of weeks while doing buisness nearby and it has always had very good service and flavors. I found the owner to be very friendly and attentive. The free WiFi was nice and allowed me to take my time having lunch while monitoring things over the Internet. I started having lunch at the Teriyaki place nearby and at the Casino across the street, which are a bit cheaper, but not as cozy by far. The slightly higher prices are justified as this is an upscale place with live music at night and very nice furniture and ambiance. I have tried pretty much all the items on the Lunch menu and found them all to be from good to excellent. It would be nice to have some more choices, but what they have is good for sure. I tend to take some of the Living Social/Groupon comments with a grain of salt as sometimes they retaliate against a vendor for not extending the voucher well beyond 1 year and including items that are explicitly excluded from the promotions when they bought them. I recently witnessed one of these situations and it was clear that the voucher holder was asking for way too much.

This is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a review (good or bad). I felt strongly about this one - so here goes! First time I ever went to this Wine Vine Bistro was right after it opened. We were exctied to have something new in our neighborhood (been living here for 14 years!). I honestly thought this could be our "new place" to hang out. Once we arrived we quickly were turned off by the owner.....rude, rude women. Not friendly at all - in fact, I promised myself I would NEVER go back. Well - i recieved a $50 groupon for Christmas and reluctantly decided to give it a 2nd try. Went in last night and when we presented the coupon, we were quickly informed that it expired the night before. Ok. Would they consider honoring it (and make the customer happy).....absolutely not. The owner was rude (again) and said, "Sorry, it's expired." Just like that. We walked out. I vowed NEVER to return and now I will make sure anyone who reads this knows that it is a horrible place to go to. 2 visits, 2 dissappointed run ins w/the owner.....She should NOT be in the customer service arena. Really. Be surprised if this place lasts........horrible experience!

We tried this place on Friday night and were pleasantly surprised that such a cool place existed in Bothell - and in a strip mall no less! They have done a good job of creating a nice ambience and the live music was a definite plus. The place was packed and we were seated in the bar, which was fine. Our food was only so-so. We ordered the bolognese and the risotto. We felt both dishes lacked seasoning. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. We will definitely go again but would try something different on the menu or just go for drinks and the live music.

This is the best keep secret in the North Bothell Area, food GREAT! Especially the gluten free Coco torte! Try the truffle chips for an appetizer...Awesome live performers on the weekends. The only thing they need to work on it their attentiveness to the customers like refill water, and when a guests comes in after the first customer has arrived they need to get their order soon so the two can eat together. However I will go there for the food really top noch...big portions!

I really wanted to like this place. We got a restaurant.com gift card that allowed us $25 off after purchasing $35 worth of food and a automatic 18% Grat--No problem for us we are 20% or more tippers. We ordered the Ahi Duo Appetizer, 25 minutes later when our entrees arrived, we asked about that appetizer that never came. The waitress asked if we wanted it then, which we did not since hot entrees were sitting in front of us. I had ordered the Lobster macaroni for dinner, which, while full of lobster was Garlic to the max and had no other layering of flavor that I could detect. It really was like eating garlic macaroni soup with Lobster bits. The Hubby had the Roasted airplane chicken with cauliflower mash and Fennel. If you have never had fennel it tastes a lot like Anise or Black licorice. There was a lot on the plate, and not much else. It did not warrant the $17 price tag in any regard. The end of the meal came with a check that did not have our $25 off on it, when we flagged down the waitress she re-did the check, came back, and only the auto gratuity was added with no $25 off, so we had to flag her down a third time to get the discount added. I would not eat here again. The menu is small, the service is slow, the tables are uncomfortable, and it makes me sad, because I really wanted to like this mom and pop place.

I think they spent too much to decorate. Should have hired a good chef instead. Spinach dip appy was like soup. Salads were not edible. Entrees were ordinary. Service off. Prices way too high. This was two visits in one...my 1st and last. The positive reviews look like they were the work of employees.

We have been twice now once for dinner, the Pork Cheek Ragu is sooo good, and just went for brunch, the Crab Cake Benedict is just perfect. This is our new favorite neighborhood spot. If you haven't tried it what are you waiing for? The atmosphere is very comfortable and the cocktails are good too!

It's almost not a good thing when you love a place the first time and then return a week later. Last night we tried the antipasta as a starter and really did enjoy that. But then I got the grilled salmon dinner and hubby once again got the rib-eye as he'd been thinking about it for a week. My salmon was flavorful and nicely grilled, but the rice pilaf underneath was watery and devoid of flavor. Hubby's steak, ordered medium-rare, was extremely rare. The potato gratin, this week was only two layers deep and really dry. Hubby hates to make a fuss and just ate the outside perimeter of the steak and didn't want to tell the waitress. When he stepped away from the table, as the waitress was boxing his remaining steak, I pointed out why he had not finished it. She took it to the kitchen and showed the chef. She returns later with the bill and I ask what the chef said, and she looked embarrassed and said he didn't have an explanation. No apology, no offer of free dessert, nothing. I know that hubby should've reported it immediately so that it could be re-fired, but once she knew and the chef knew that the steak was raw in the middle, SOMETHING should have been done or said. I don't know if we'll return.

My husband took me to Wild Vine Bistro for my birthday and it was fantastic! The beef sate appetizer and spinach/honey dew salad were exceptionally delicious. We did not have a reservation but they wiggled a few things and got us a table. The service was great, and everyone was very friendly. Kudos to head chef Ian West!

We've eaten at Wild Vine several times and have enjoyed it each time. They have a great relaxed embience and good food. The dishes are very reasonably priced for the quality you get, which IMHO is very very good. Wild Vine Bistro is a very good addition to the Mill Creek restaurant scene.

I understand what other reviewers mean by the service. When we first walked in for an early dinner there were four ladies at the bar and no other customers in the dining room. Yet, the four employees who were clumped together chatting barely looked up and didn't greet us. Really?!? Our server was knowledgeable about the wine list and the menu. She had a great personality but left us on our own too much. The food was yummy. My Blue Mesa Hanging Tenders are meant to be served rare but I think they needed another 30 seconds on the grill. I would have asked for that except our server was no where to be found and by the time she returned I was ready for a take-home box. My boyfriend had the bolognese which is a big bowl of spaghetti made with ground lamb and ground beef that's tasty if you're in the mood for something you can make at home. We used a Groupon and will definitely return if we have some sort of discount. One beer, one wine, two entrees with tax & tip came to $60.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
