Diabetics at Whataburger

Diabetics need to be a bit cautious while dining at Whataburger. Almost every burger is rich in sodium content and it is highly recommended to keep your burger cravings in control while dining at Whataburger. However, you can always satisfy your cravings for a burger by choosing Whataburger Jr. or other non-burger items from the menu.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for Diabetics:

A diabetic should resist from ordering any extra meat-based burger such as Double Meat Whataburger or Triple Meat Whataburger to limit the sodium intake and calories. Most burgers except the Whataburger Jr. are high in sodium and hence should be avoided.

If you are a diabetic, you should also avoid Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich and Whataburger Patty Melt at Whataburger. Chicken Fajita Taco is also off-limits for diabetics. High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

not the best i had, but not the worst...

Pho soups are OK, they don't provide much basil as others do and have to specificly ask for chili paste. Not happy with their stir fried curry or virmacilli noodles. The quality of pork provided was questionable. Not sure if grilled before and reheated. Service is very good and friendly.

We had basil beef and veggies and pho. I always like their flavors. Their ingredients are always fresh. Service is good and servers are always courteous. The tables are clean. It can get a little loud but you can't control how loud people are.

This is the place I go for my Pho. I always crave at night the only down side is I wish they were open til 11pm. I always get a #15 pho, its my favorite. And i also oder extra noodle I never can get enough. Price is normal. I like to order to go and prepare it at home. I do tend to eat in sometimes and it is a relaxing, quite setting. This is great if your sick! Like magic soup! I do recommended this restaurant. Bubble teas are okay, but not the best out there.

I went in with a groupon for an order to go. There's plenty of parking. The staff was friendly, and my order was accurate (VERY important in a to-go!). My order (shrimp pho and spring rolls) was ready in a reasonable amount of time. The food was acceptable, nothing to write home about, but no complaints, either. With the groupon, it's a super-cheap, filling dinner for one.

We went there for dinner on the night of a big wind storm. They were very busy & we were expecting that, however we waited over an hour for our food. People who came in after us received their food and had already left. Our server who was very nice was aware of how long we had waited and that everyone had been served before us. Obviously our food had been given to someone else. She got the owner for us because she felt bad. The owner never offered to do anything for us. She just said it was busy. I explained to her that everyone else had been served & already left. She refused to do anything but say she was sorry that they were so busy. I will never go there again because of the way the owner ignored what had happened to us!

  • Stephanie W.

I would NEVER eat there! The owners son spits on people and their cars. If he does that what else does he spit on or in? Apparently he didn't like that I drove thru a certain part of the parking lot. He followed me to the gas station yelling and screaming at me with my kids in the car. Then walked over to me and spit on my car and me. Horrible! People like that will do that to your food too. I would give it ZERO stars.

This is my go to pho place, especially when I need it quickly. The broth is very flavorful compared to other pho places. I typically order the Pho Tai Chin Nam. When I order out, the wait time is only 10 minutes. The portions are large enough for a small to be a sufficient meal. The large pho soup is enough for two meals. Pricing is a little on the high side in my experience but worth it for good broth and fair portions. The ambiance inside the place is more high end than most other pho places. Four stars for great broth, fast carry out, and good ambiance. Pricing could be better, however.

I like it here. A lot. Maybe too much. The food is fresh. It is delish. Hot stuff is hot. Cold stuff is cold. They do tendon right. The atmosphere is nice. I'm not crazy about the staff - sometimes they act like maybe they would rather be somewhere else. I also think it is a little more expensive than it should be. I eat pho quite often. This place charges about 50% more than my favorite place. I don't get it. Is it the Buddha pictures on the wall? Do you pay extra for the slight attitude? Maybe that is it. I will not quit you WTP.

Not the best pho I've had in the least, but the server we got was excellent. He was attentive, and great. I got the meatball pho, and while it's not the best I've had, it was decent. Their broth was good, and they were speedy, which was enough. But I didn't like the texture of the meatballs, and maybe that's just me! It still tasted fine! I ordered the bubble tea as well, and as much as I wanted to like What the Pho!, it just didn't do it for me. But the service was excellent, making me want to give them the benefit of the doubt. So prove me wrong, WtP, please, because I really really want to like you!

What's not to like? I've always been really happy with the pho here, and have tried other dishes in the past that were flavorful and made with care and expertise. The interior design is pretty- large & colorful nature prints on the wall, and a super clean and modern restaurant in general. Not too big, not too small, and in the 5-10 times I've been, it hasn't been very crowded so the service is prompt and attentive. I like this place. I guess the only down side is its pricier than my favorite pho spot "Than Brothers" .... But not by much! Fair price and good value.

Worst service ever, they were understaffed, had rude servers, and took forever. The waitress seemed inconvenienced to be serving us. Only decent thing about this place is the pho was decent and the fresh spring rolls are pretty good, otherwise- wouldn't go back

    (1)
  • Jim C.

Came here with the family. Ordered the #20 (Pho with everything), #10 (Pho with steak and brisket), and the grilled chicken on noodles (#36?). I've been pretty impressed with the pho in Washington as I've been spoiled by the pho in Vancouver BC. Decent broth as it was flavorful. The noodles were ok. The meat was good too. The noodle dish was ok as the sauce needed more flavor. My only complaint would be that they should have larger bowls for the large pho as you need a lot more broth. There was plenty of noodles to fill you up. Would come back again to try the spring rolls and salad rolls.

  • Katie F.

I can't really get over that we were served gross spoiled looking chicken, to even write a review. Showed the server and she showed the cook, after awhile she came out and said it was fine but she would let us swap it for something else. Ummm...if that chicken looks fine to you (after you guys were debating it for awhile) then we need to go else where for food. There is a picture above.

  • William B.

Service was prompt & friendly, courteous. Ordered #14 pho (tendon and tripe) and Goi Cuon (spring rolls) Goi Cuon looked/tasted good. Peanut sauce was unimpressive. Broth was ok. Noodles were in a big 'glop'. Rare beef was good but sparse. Tendon was good. Prices were about $1 higher per dish than most places. So -1 star for that.

  • Char L.

Not authentic at all. If you're from a place with a Vietnamese population and have had good Vietnamese food, this place will make you cry. The pork bbq spring rolls looked messy like a little kid tried to make spring rolls. The pork was tough, flavorless, and dry. I'm not just randomly throwing out adjectives cuz I'm mean - the meat really was not good. The peanut sauce is way too sweet. I didn't get pho and opted for something from the grill. Ended up getting the marinated chicken. It's really bad. It's a chicken breast filleted and grilled extremely, extremely dry. It too was absolutely flavorless. I don't know why they even bother calling it marinated. I don't taste any flavor. It was overall an un-enjoyable meal. It was a chore to eat. The only reason why I ate the food was because I need fuel to sustain life.

This place is great, go there all the time. The wait-staff is SO nice, friendly, welcoming! I love the tofu veggie pho and fresh rolls. Prices are great, portions are huge, really tasty flavors, what's not to like.

  • Lamb F.

Found this place because I went to the "What the Pho" near Southcenter and decided to go back because it's closer to me. It's hard to find Pho places with vegetarian broth available and they have it. It's the best vegetarian broth I have tasted so far from any of them and they load the bowl with great vegetables, unlike some of the other places. The prices are a little high though. The place was almost empty both times.

I get so annoyed with this place. I felt like crap, wanted some pho and my boyfriend took me out to lunch (Aww). ....Sigh. I seriously can not believe this place stays in business. Pho is suppose to be cheap, hot and a cure all. What the Pho serves none of those. The least they could do is make it gourmet or something, but no, all that these people do different is serve alcohol. And honestly, who wants to drink alcohol with soup? Today our lunch was $33 before tip...without alcohol. Why was it $33 you ask? -$4 Taro fries -One diet coke -One coffee -Large meatball pho with extra meatballs -Small chicken pho with veggies Ain't nobody got time for that. Note to future self: First of all- insist on eating somewhere else. Doesn't work? Ok: Do not order veggies, do get noodles on the side instead of in the broth, and ask for extra, extra hot broth (not spice factor, temperature... it's been luke warm every time). 2 stars must mean they did something right, right? Open late and the staff was nice.

  • Jacqueline W.

Second time coming here, food is alright. Service horrible. waited about 10mins before someone came to have our drinks order. The servers just stand behind the bar on their phones. Only time we were checked up on was when she gave our check.

One of the best places to eat in Bothell, I love the food and ambience

    (5)
  • Pam N.

I have heard such great things about this place from other Bothell Community members but the service today was TERRIBLE. Never even got our water glasses refilled. It wasn't at all crowded so I don't know what the issue was. The waitstaff (two people) did not come over to take the order until vigoriously summoned after quite a long wait, and then again we had to literally wave the menu to get someone over to take the meal order. And again, our water glasses were never refilled. We even had to summon them to come and take the folder to pay! I saw Allie's bad review on the 7th but before that all the other reviews mentioned good service. What happened? What the Pho???!!! My first time ever eating Pho, quite unfortunate. I would have called a manager over but I'd still be sitting there if I waited to do that! lol Maybe try the Bellevue location if you want better service at the current time.

  • Victor G.

Been there twice now, and I thought it was just bad luck the first time i went, but it happened again the second time as well. Basically, avoid lunch hour! ... Unless you're cool with loud annoying kids. You'll notice packs of mothers sauntering in with that vacant zombie-staring look...with crazed children hanging from their appendages...and completely oblivious to feeling anything and absorbed in their own world. *shiver* Anyway, -Food was decent. -Service was lacking (read other reviews for more details). -Environment was cold (AC was going nonstop) and loud (kids were going nonstop). 2 stars!

    (2)
  • Ama Ebi S.

My favorite Pho restaurant. Consistent food, good service. I prefer the Bothell location because it has a bar and isn't as crazy for lunch as the Bellevue location. Bellevue is just as good, but parking can be harder. There is parking in the back at Bellevue, however.

  • Kenneth N.

surprised so many reviews for a 2-star place, if that. Extra star for interior design perhaps, more spacious than usual but to me, feels like the setup of a Chiptotle. obviously not authentic, nor did i expect to so for these prices, didn't expect much. Pho was just ok, and spring rolls greasy. Convenient at the mall, that's it. and didn't even have iced coffee w/ condensed milk!

    (2)
  • Dnf D.

We were immediately seated with menus and then waited over 15 minutes for the waiter. My husband flagged one down and he was nice but obviously stressed out and not very friendly. I noticed only two waiters working the entire dining room, they could have used at least one to two more. The food was OK and might return if not for the slow service and freezing dining room! Not just cold but goose bumps soon as you walk in cold. Too many other options in this cuisine category to win us over for a return visit.

The good thing about pho is that even when it's not that great, it's cheap as heck. This place breaks the mold here. Their pho is neither exceptional and it is definitely not at all cheap. You can go across the street to Bonefish and pay the same price for some of their entrees, which is nuts, because again, this is a pho place. Usually chains make food more bland, and also cheaper in the process. This place only does the former. The night my fiancé and I dined at this location, it was an hour before closing, yet it was empty. The girls working there blasted the music and made it obvious that they wanted to get out of there. They did their job. We will never be back.

I had a Groupon and it was one of the worst traffic days I have seen. After I picked my daughter up we figured we would kill some time. It was close and I had a groupon. I was hesitant after reading some reviews. But when you are getting it for half the price why the heck not. She loves Pho so she got the Pho and I believe it was the #32 I got which was the charbroiled pork and shrimp skewer. From previous reviews they were right about most. The Pho was not that great and for the price I would think it would taste better as well as have fresh veggies. Considering my daughter doesn't like veggies in her soup did not mean you could bring out rotten basil... The pork was interesting. It was kind of bland and didn't really have the charbroil taste that you would have if you when to an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. The noodles were cold and regular chopped lettuce I am not familiar with in these types of dishes. The one good thing was the egg rolls my daughter couldn't get enough. I probably won't be back as there are many other options to get great Vietnamese cuisine.

After giving them some "credit" over this past weekend (with 3 stars) when my family went there for a "quick" lunch despite having to WAIT a while for someone to come to us to take our order, and then WAIT again for them to correct the order by adding 2 more #20's, when we had originally ordered 3 of them (since the waitress apparently didn't have her ears open to hear what we were saying....) **ADVICE!!! check your bank statements, which I did. Apparently this place needs to "charge" more for the tip, even though I had put a decent tip amount on the receipt bill when we paid our bill that day, regardless of the fact that I wanted to give less, but I used to work in the restaurant industry and do understand....HOWEVER, I don't appreciate how this place actually "added" more on "their" final bill. Apparently they think they need the "extra" money to pay for slow service and non-common sense servers??? I may be sounding harsh, but I don't put up with cheating customers...even if it's a few dollars more than what was originally on the final receipt that a customer had signed off for.

Me and my boyfriend decided on pho so we didn't have to cook anything. Long story short the food was really good. So thumbs up on that. I got a number 15 with meatballs. And they fill it with noodles and meat so no complaints there. Although I'd have to say I didn't quit like waiting at the front door for 5 mins they looked over a couple times and finally someone came to help me . Horrible service the waiters were rushing everything since there was only two working. Not to mention when I got my order they forgot the sprouts and mint that comes with the pho. When I asked for it she only brought one and wasn't friendly at all. Not sure if ill go back but I'd recommend for a quick pit stop to eat

I love Pho, I love this place, mostly because it is really close to work. The broth and vegetables and meat are fresh and delicious. The rice bowls are really great as well. It is easy to get a table, affordable, and the service is quick. If you are in bothell, and want pho, this place will not disappoint!

I called ahead, at 11:20 AM and asked if I could have 20 eggrolls and 20 wontons ready to be picked up at 4:30pm. The girl on the phone said no problem, took my name, and said they'd be ready. I got there at 4:30 sharp, the place was not busy, yet my order had not been started. Twenty minutes later I got the order and I was late to my destination. Big FAIL!!! They are easily replaced.

The restaurant scene in canyon park is limited. But sometimes, I must get away from the office for lunch, and enjoy a hot bowl of joy. Service is friendly, place appears clean, and overall can't complain. Not sure if it provides anything which you can't get at Bamboo house close by, but overall, not a bad choice.

We went into the restaurant last night and placed a to go order (I had my appendix removed recently and wanted to get home). We ordered the dumplings, small pho, and dinner sized fried rice. Everything was wonderful except they forgot to add the meatballs and brisket to my pho even though we paid for it. I realized it when I was home and already seated (not a fun experience after surgery). My husband called them and after speaking to two people the only solution they could come up with was for us to go pick it up, which was not going to happen. Terrible customer service. We paid for it and they did not offer a refund or coupon of any kind. Just because we didn't eat in the restaurant (we still tipped $5 on our $30 to go order) doesn't mean you can treat us poorly. It is highly unlikely that we will go there again which is unfortunate because I really do love the food there.

This is one of those places where if they could only figure out how to provide good service, it would be great. I have been here at least a half dozen times with my family and we've always had to wait extraordinarily long for a table. There are usually tables open, but they either have not been cleaned off from the previous patron, or the person who is there to seat you is too busy making drinks or taking orders. They really need to get a second person in the restaurant to do the hosting/serving.

Drove from Kirkland to come to this noodle house. We saw online that it was open til 10. Walk in at 930 and are told that they are closed. When we state that the sign says they are open til 10, the man says 'last call is at 930'...... Uh, since when is there a last call for noodles?

One of the great things about pho is that you can usually count on it being filling and affordable. Been here a couple of times, and while the pho is decent, I can't get over the tiny portions and the unreasonably high prices. "Small" is $7.95, and "Large" is $8.95. Our order was messed up and my husband and I both ended up with "large" bowls. At other restaurants a small is usually the perfect size for me, but I easily finished the "large", and my husband was still hungry afterward. The service is OK, food comes out fast, and the restaurant is kept clean- but I'd recommend elsewhere for better pho at better prices.

  • Oliver C.

Meh, I've experienced better" sums it up perfectly. My girlfriend and i don't normally frequent pho-chains, because she thinks they are "white-washed" (no insult intended) and bland. but we decided to give it a try on a whim since she was having a pho craving. We were greeted properly upon entry. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating to our 1 year old. Clean establishment and restroom. The food...well...the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. the meatball pho i received lacked an important aspect to it... flavor. both the soup base and the meatballs were just "meh". Maybe i have been spoiled by other pho places, and maybe i anticipate to much use of spices and fish sauce, but this was blah. Will i be coming back here? Probably not, unless there is a pho-mergency. Would i recommend this place to people? If you are new to pho, yes. If you are a veteran pho eater, i would suggest other locations. :)

I live and work nearby and have given this place quite a few attempts hoping to like it. The service has been consistently awful and the food even more consistent in its mediocrity. If you're in the area and looking for good Pho, I strongly recommend going across the street to Bamboo House. The ambiance isn't quite as fancy, but the food and the service are much better.

It's really expensive, and not very good. I love pho, so this was really disappointing! The noodles are a big blob that are difficult to eat, the broth is bland, and the beef is too thick for my preference. The first time I went here the bean sprouts and basil were wilted, and this time I didn't even get anything to put in it! No bean sprouts, no lime, no basil. Between the mediocre food and impolite service, I will not be coming back.

What the Pho! has a really good broth, which in my opinion makes or breaks a pho dish. There can be inconsistencies with the amount of items that come with your broth; I typically order the same two or three dishes and have had varying results with the amounts of meat and other goodies that go into the pho. However, the meat, veggies, and everything else has always been fresh. I typically go at odd hours so I've never had a wait, and the staff has always been friendly and efficient. I suppose I know that I'm not going to a 'nice' restaurant, just a slightly higher-grade fast food Vietnamese restaurant, and set my expectations accordingly.

Dinner was good, but not outstanding. I love Salad Rolls, so I ordered those again for dinner even though I had some great ones for lunch. Unfortunately, they were the disappointing part of the meal tonight. The shrimp had some of the shells in it, so that was completely unacceptable. When I arrived, I was seated promptly and for once, the table was actually clean and free of debris and that Bothell, WA sticky tacky feeling you get at these little restaurants. I ordered Pho' with BBQ brisket and it was completely delish... I devoured the bowl of Pho' like a prisoner eating his last meal (enjoying every slurp)... As for my overall review: Service: 3/5 Food: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Atmosphere: 4/5

To be fair, when I go there it's because they are open until 10pm and none of my fav Pho places are open past 9. What got me to drop my rating is the quality (or lack thereof) of the bean sprouts which were in my last to-go order about a week ago. OMG they smelled bad! When I dumped them out of the bag, not only did they smell awful but the tips of the sprouts were shriveled and brown. Having nothing else in the house for dinner, and it was about 6 miles to return to the restaurant, I went ahead and ate the pho. Mistake! It tasted like rotten bean sprouts. Yuck. All night long, all I could taste was crappy sprouts. This experience really makes me question if I will ever go back there again. OK, so they are open late. And the staff is very pleasant. However, that they were willing to serve something that was as stinky as this is a major fail. You probably know that contaminated bean sprouts are so common that some consumer agencies recommend avoiding them at all. I felt lucky that I didn't get sick from the darn things and I certainly don't want to have it happen again. Too bad, because I really appreciate their late evening hours.

The name is perfect. Worst Pho I have ever had. I try every pho joint I can and this set a new low. The price was a bit high for good pho, insane for bad flavored, whatever it was. I'll never go back, not even if it is free. I am told the noodle dishes are good, but I'd never risk it.

I feel like the negative reviewers must be eating at a different restaurant! I am so glad What the Pho is down the hill from me. Maybe they have a Westernized name, and maybe they're a chain restaurant, but they have the best pho I've had, and I used to live in the Central District. People keep talking about Pho Thanh, but I was really underwhelmed and never went back once I found a large slice of plastic in my pho. That being said, I honestly believe these guys make the best pho. The broth is flavorful, the meat always tender (I get the brisket, soft tendon and meat balls), and the bean sprouts, basil and limes always fresh. (plus it doesn't hurt that the waitstaff is unfailingly attractive) ETA to clarify: The sliver of plastic was courtesy of Pho Thanh, NOT What the Pho.

The Groupon was what brought us in. The overpriced mediocre pho is what will keep us out.

Love the name. Lots of menu options. Some big booths. Didn't find my food to be superb, but I decided to try a sandwhich rather than my typical order of pho. Found the bread to be bulky and dry, but not sure what these are normally like. It was missing the jalapenos mentioned in the menu, but really I don't care for these and probably would have picked them off. Vegetarian lettuce wraps were just okay, but the peanut sauce dip was good. We did really enjoy the taro fries which are a bit unusual and seem healthier than regular fries. Delicious dipped in plum sauce. Food was served fast and server was friendly.

As a preface to this review I would like to say that I have visited this restaurant a few times in the past and was always satisfied. The broth is usually light and fragrant, the meat is generally pretty tasty and the noodles are... noodles. I was in a pho mood last night and it was getting late. I saw online that they were open until 10 P.M. so I made the easy 15 min. drive to their location. At 9:30 on the nose I walked in the front door. The restaurant had a few patrons scattered around and two young ladies working in the front of the house. I was greeted from across the room with, "Are you here for a carry out order?". I replied in the affirmative and was promptly told that the kitchen was already closed and that they only stayed open until 10 so that customers who had already purchased their meals could finish eating. This sounded all kinds of weird and unprofessional to me but if that's the way they do business (or not) then it is their prerogative and won't see anymore money from me. To add insult to injury I had just walked out as a young couple walked in behind me. I turned to watch them through the glass expecting to see the same result when to my surprise, the girl who had told me that the kitchen was closed proceeded to hand them menus and seat them. Odd.

Great atmosphere, love having booths to sit in instead of a wide open room! Their pho is really good, too!

Ate here last night after a long, cold day in the rain. Last order is at 9:40pm which is nice, later than most pho shops I believe. Came out warm and ready to eat, I'd prefer a bit hotter so I have more hot bites before it starts to get lukewarm. Very flavorful and good quality meat. Also ordered a side of dumplings, they were good and crispy. I'd go back. Friendly, efficient service.

Happened onto this place from hotel across street. Wow - what a place! Terrific vegetarian appetizers coupled with vegetable broth Pho. The appetizer was as much a visual delight as was it's flavor profile. The Pho was full of flavor and skillfully prepared. A winner!

I come here a lot. It's really delicious and if I'm not in the mood for pho, they have a great selection of other items. They have a bar so on my lunch I can sit at the bar and watch the TV (No, I'm not boozing on my lunch time!) The staff is really nice also.

It was so bad it was almost funny. Really, you're serving me this? Ordered Ca Ri Viet, "wok-fired meat, meat, homemade curry, coconut cream, mixed vegetables, topped with peanuts." It was slop. I eat a lot of curry. I make it at home. This was s#$%. The server asked how we were doing. I'll give her credit for asking and noticing that we weren't eating. She asked if we'd like to try something else. We split a pho, beef broth with veg and tofu. It arrived lukewarm. So is their broth all that? You'd like it if all you know are ramen packets. We made sure to arrive no later than 7:30 on the theory that you don't want leftovers, but I think that's what we were served. The server was nice, the track lighting irritating, and the food was crap. Literally. My husband became ill.

Service is slower than death...I say this as I wait for my check to be taken. The vegetable pho was ok but the spring rolls were tasteless and poorly wrapped. Never refilled water. Stood at the door for 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us. What a disappointment.

BEST PHO ON EAST SIDE HANDS DOWN!!! The place has gone through a lot of management changes and is slowly cleaning up its act. The atmosphere is very modern and clean. I order #10 and some egg rolls and am never disappointed. If I had to pick one thing to nitpick at- it's chilly, which cools the broth too quick. mmm may go for lunch now :-)

I'd come here to eat whenever I am in the area. It's a little much for a bowl of pho but you can never go wrong with it. You ask for more stuff and they will gladly give it to you. Although there were a few times where the staff werent' friendly at all. I think most of the time it's at the end of the night and they just want to get out of there. They have a bar with only one tv. The owner seem not to be vietnamese but white. All the staff are majority white. Only a few asians. Good fixin.

I come to Seattle on business regularly and stay at the HI across the street. What the Pho is a good pho shop with a little more upscale feel than some of the hole in the wall places I like to frequent. The food, service, and atmosphere are all good, but nothing amazing. I'm going with 4 stars because this is one of my normal stops when I'm in town. BTW, get the Taro fries!

  • Diem T.

Nice service and generous portions but the food quality and taste are poor. If you are a Vietnamese connoisseur you should avoid this place. In spite of the nice atmosphere and friendly staff, the quality and flavor of the food equals that of ordinary street food. Grilled pork has no apparent 5-spice flavor. Vermicelli without mint or basil and just a scant amount of shredded iceberg lettuce, and way too many noodles. Pho noodles taste like old noodle boil water, and noodles are stuck together in a ball like no other. Pho broth missing some critical spice. And certainly expensive!

I'd rather go to a restaurant in the International District to get my pho on, but then when you live in Bothell and you want...no, you need...pho...well, choices are limited. So YAY for What the Pho? filling a large, bowl-shaped void. The interior is sleek and they have a bar. I'm not entirely sure what to make of that, but for those of you who've ever thought "I totally want a rum and coke with my pho", this might be the spot for you to try out. We were seated quickly and we ordered spring rolls and two bowls of round eye steak pho. Our waitress was less than enthused to be there. (At least fake it.) The spring rolls were good and once we'd finished, hilariously, the waitress came by and said "how were the spring rolls?" and she grabbed the plate and zipped away before we could answer. So the service is totally lacking. (Though she was all smiles and friendly when the check was brought to us...) The pho itself is a solid bowl of pho - it's nothing special. The steak is a bit thicker than I prefer, but that's a personal preference. We ate and paid (they take credit cards, which also shows that they are truly different from the bulk of pho restaurants!) and left and it was all good. Not my top choice, but again...in a pinch...you know.

One of my favorite places to eat Pho at! As far as broth smell and flavor, quality of ingredients, it is great!! I also love their Goi Cuon (Spring Rolls) Service can be mostly good, but sometimes a little lacking. I hope to visit again soon.

Flew into Seattle last week for business and was pleasantly surprised by this place. Having had pho in Boston, LA, and San Jose, I am no stranger to this savoury treat so I would like to think I have a trained viet palate. Anyway to make a long story short, I liked this place. Friendly service, clean and somewhat upscale decor, and the pho and cha gio (fried spring rolls) were great. I ordered the brisket and beef ball pho specifically and I almost couldn't finish it. Pricewise, yes, it's a shade more expensive than most pho places I frequent but I just assumed Bothell is just an expensive town to live in. I will say compared to pho I've had in other states, the broth and beef had a tinge of sweetness to it, as if they marinated the meat in hoisin or teriyaki sauce. A little different than what i'm accustomed to but still good nonetheless.

An underwhelming experience. Postives: Nice decor, clean restroom Negatives: Food bland, not hot temperature-wise. The table hadn't been cleaned and the little leather case they bring the receipt to you in was filthy. I had to wipe that off and I almost didn't want to put my card in there -- that bad. The so-so experience isn't much so won't return.

I come in here about once a week. The service has gotten better, which is great. The place has the best pho I've ever had. The broth is so flavorful, the ingredients are fresh. Try the #2, Spring Rolls.

I had read many reviews and was pleasantly surprised that my children also wanted to try this place. Usually I am the only one, but with a cool name as it has, I think that was their allure. We had the gyoza, and the fresh rolls, and then all had Pho. For me, it was quite delicious, as I had all three meats and meatballs as well. I like that they have a medium and a large portion. Very nice meal, would recommend this place to anyone in the Canyon Park area.

The jury seems to be out on this place. My experience: "...definitely targeted toward the Caucasian sector." This reviewer is accurate- this is not a typical Pho place. The place looks nice, with a full bar, a good amount of seating, and I found it to be very clean (albeit, it was dark, inside and outside). We were seated promptly. I ordered the briscuit and steak bowl and my ladyfriend got meatballs. I was quite the hungry bear, so we got some spring rolls, too. We only waited a little while (10 mins?) for our appetizer (mindset: we had absolutely nothing else to do at 10 o' clock and only wanted to eat) but for some reason, our server and a guy (manager?) kept coming over to apologize, reminding us our food would be right out. I was like "Alright? No big deal..you're okay". The appetizer came and it was fine. However, our waitress told us it would be a freebie due to (their) perceived delay in getting it to us. Awesome! Our Pho soon followed and it hit the spot. I thought it was pretty good (though I am a Caucasoid). I finished my partner's bowl too, also good. I felt the prices for both were fair. Then we went for dessert: fried banana with ice cream. We were informed shortly thereafter that they had no bananas but that they would have someone go fetch some (from the Alberston's, no doubt) and- it would be on the house! Let me get this straight- you'll let us order something you don't have, run to the store to get it (it was a crappy weather night, too), and then just give it to us for free?** Truly, what the Pho? **Considering the options of 1) charging us for it or 2) saying "Sorry! We're all out, what else would you like?"

What the Pho? This is what I have been wondering myself! We were in the area visiting Mud Bay for some animal spoilings and decided to stop in to see what all the fuss was about. I was surprised when we walked in to find such modern decor but it was a comfortable ambiance. Plus they had a full bar and served Mac N Jacks! They were in the process of cleaning up a booth so sat us at a table until it was completed of which I thought was a nice. Once we were seated in our very comfortable booth, we paroused through the menu and tried to make sense of the choices. Our very sweet and patient server took the time to explain what was really more simple than it seemed. Upon her suggestion, we started with the marinated pork spring rolls and peanut sauce-can we say party in the mouth?! So fresh and yummy with a spike of fresh basil. Then we shared the Chicken Pho and a Beef, Basil, Chili Wok Stir Fry. Amazing! Now I understand! I love food that includes accoutrimants such as bean sprouts, fresh basil, lime and jalapenos. It's so empowering to be able to build a meal to your own taste! The broth was simple and savory, the noodles were clean and not sticky, the chicken was obviously shredded right off the bone. The Stir Fry was equally good, tender thin slices of beef, tons of fresh vegetables and basil speckled with lovely red spicy bits. The best part, $36, including tip, spent after all was said and done! I realize in my Pho ignorance, this may be more than what some places charge, however the ambiance and bar options that I apparently also paid for made for a great first date with my new friend, Pho!

Save yourself the time and money. Don't go here. The name is embarrassing enough, the food is just as bad. The Bellevue location is not much better. Great ambiance in the Bothell location but the food and the service leaves much to be desired. I actually went back (to give them a second chance) because I thought maybe they just had a bad night but I got up and left when NO ONE came to take our order after 15 minutes of waiting.

Good place to go when you want some pho and don't want to drive into Seattle for the good stuff. In the two times i've been here, its been good quality. Service is a little bit abrupt, but that is ok! The first time I went, it took a while to get the food out to us, but the second time was lightning fast. Being so hit and miss got them docked a star, all in all i'd give them 3 and 1/2 stars. But they get the benefit of 4 stars due to the location being so close to me

I am super-stoked that there is a good pho place by my school (UWB)! I come here any chance I get. It's fast, cheap, and delicious. The ambience of the place is a little weird - like it's sort of trying to be swanky/club-ish even though it's in a Bothell strip mall. But whatever...the pho comes fully loaded with vegetables, I can be in & out in less than a half hour, and my meal is dirt cheap. Yessssss!

Place should be called Pho Shizzle!!! I dont know about you people but I have been saying "what the fuck" since I was like two. That must be why I was automatically attracted to this place? Im not giving em 5 stars because lets be honest, no pho on the planet is worth 5. Im also not giving em 5 stars because there was a guy working there that had on an Ed Hardy shirt and the waitress looked like her nose was thirsty. However service moved at an acceptable pace.

The actual Pho is pretty good, but it's much less enjoyable when it is served at lukewarm temperature. We waited much longer than we're used to for our Pho, which is often served to us immediately at competing chains due to the fact that it's already made and sitting in the back. The broth tastes excellent, but the eye round steak is much larger than normal and in my opinion is too difficult to eat with standard bites. Our waitress was friendly, but forgot our forks when we asked for them, allowing our already lukewarm Pho to get even colder. Additionally, without a fork, we weren't able to split apart our meat, leaving it uncooked and reddish. :( Overall, due to relatively poor service and less than satisfactory Pho, I will not return. Unless that waitress gives me her number and lets me holla, YOU KNOW?!

I had a softball game in the area and ran in here for lunch afterwords. Im usually a little skeptical when visiting a strip mall type restaruaunt. This place has good atmosphere and a nice little bar. Being by myself I sat at the bar. The menu selection was very good and I ended up ordering the Charbroiled Marinated Pork Over Vermicelli Noodles and Banh Mi Thit Nuong, which is the famous Vietnamese Sandwich. The pork had good flavor and the perfect amount of fat. I would have liked it to have been grilled a little bit more. The pieces that were dark and a little crunchy on the outside were awsome but most of it was hard to tell it had been grilled. The sandwhich I took with me and had later that night. I have had quite a few of these sandwiches from other places and this one was good but not great. When I bite into one of these sandwiches I expect an explosion of sweet, sour, spice and crunch. Again it was good but not great. The service was great and the bartender was on top of things and very friendly. I will go back to try some other things on the menu including the Pho.

I absolutely love What the Pho! in Bothell. I haven't been to the Bellevue location, so I don't know how it compares. My boyfriend and I visited What the Pho! multiple times when we first moved due to renovations. My boyfriend is not a fan of Asian food, unless it is fried and covered in a sweet sauce and sitting in the Safeway or Top Foods prepared food area. I was surprised after our first visit....I thought it would be another restaurant that I would only be able to visit with my girlfriends. But...HE LOVED IT! The bar is excellent, the food is fresh and tasty, and the staff is super friendly. What the Pho! participated in the MOViN 92.5 "Half Price Offers" program, so I was able to get a couple $20 gift certificates for 1/2 price. I'll post when they do this promotion again.

Ug - first of all the decor is way too sleek to be a Pho house. And DARK. I wondered what they didn't want me to see. . .then quickly found out. My basil was slimy and bruised. When we asked for a replacement, the waitress (who was way too white to serve pho, seriously, I'm half Asian so I'm only partly being funny) just looked at us blankly until we held up the limp offending basil and she said "oh" like she was confused as to what was wrong. The replacement basil was better, but hardly fresh. She also didn't know what fish sauce was when I asked if they had it. Okay, so maybe she doesn't work there anymore, but I'm hardly charmed. The pho was okay - I wish I could have seen it better. . .my husband liked it better than I did, but I introduced him to pho in the first place so what does he know? Ha ha! The bar, while very nice, was enormous and distracting and seemed to provide what little light there was in there. I agree that it's a bit weird to think of drinking while eating pho. Even more disturbing was the lack of Asian people eating there. I'll repeat the adage for those who don't know - the sign of any good Asian food restaurant can be measured by how many Asian people are actually eating there. And I was the most Asian person there at the time. Seems perhaps that they too prefer Than Brothers or Bamboo House pho. . . To top it off, the bowls were much smaller than expected for the price. Nope, not on my list of favorites. I would go again if Bamboo House were closed for the day and my 15 month old couldn't let me take the time to get to Than Brothers and I HAD to have pho.

  • Heidi P.

I thought the place seemed kind of dirty. The food was ok, but nothing spectacular. I also found the waitstaff to be a little unprofessional. Also, what's up with all the raw veggies in vegetarian pho? I think Than Bros is the only ones who get it right with tofu and mushrooms. I should probably go back and try it one more time before I make my final decision on What the Pho, however I'm not sure if I will. I will say that I like that they have other things than Pho on the menu. That being said, so does Bamboo House, across the street.

    (2)
  • Meredith S.

I came here once when I first moved to Bothell and it was alright. I ordered veggie pho. Nothing that spectacular, but nothing repulsive either. They earned their three stars, but no more than three. Bamboo House across the street is much tastier and more authentic!

Most pathetic restaurant I ever been to, Mc Donals servers better. I'm not a big eater, or a temper guy. I appreciate food and service if it really makes me feel it. The food they serve in this restaurant tastes like made with frozen ingrediants, if I get a chance to visit the kitchen I wouldn't be surprised to see it myself. Shrimps, veggies,.. all tastes stiff and uncooked. Except for one waitress, I don't see other servers really care about the service. We waited once for a really long time even when the restaurant was empty. One of em bangs the table with food everytime she serves, with an attitude, "Here eat it" If you see a fresh lemon juice on the menu, never ever order for it. I wanted to try it once and ordered for it. I was shocked to see the bartender using a lemon syrup ("Fresh Lemon Juice") from a bottle and to my worst belief he licked the stirrer to see if it tastes good and put it back into the juice!!!. The waitress noticed me watching it and still made an attempt to serve me with it. Sadly it was the polite server who did it this time. I empethetically refused it and ordered for a beer instead. (I have no idea what's in that) My concern is not to stop people from visiting this place, but I concern, by reading this, the management should improve their service and etiquette.

I stumbled into this place, but I must say that this is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I have ever visited. And, trust me, I have visited many of them. The place was clean, the wait staffs were very polite and friendly, and the food was just simply delicious.

I entered the facility a little after 1 pm. The place had a few customers, but it looked like the waitress was still trying to recover from the lunch rush. We quickly ordered 2 Pho's and waited patiently. A small bowl of Pho is $6.35 and a large is $7.35.The waitress promptly brought our waters approximately 47 seconds after our order. Our Pho was served approximately 4 minutes and 27 seconds later. The rice noodles were fresh and were not sticky within my broth. Which was a pleasant surprise. The fragrance from my broth was a little stronger than your average Pho, however we ate with no complaints. The waitress came back and asked if everything was ok and left us with a warm smile. The food was average, the waitress had a great smile, and the facility was nice. Considering that this is Canyon Park, the place isn't too bad. It's a toss up between Bamboo Pho and What the Pho? Both has it's Pros and Cons.

Maybe I stereotype Vietnamese restaurants too much... because when I walked in, I thought I was warped to a small Thai restaurant, instead. There's a full bar, which is the first thing you see, getting in, though I didn't see anybody taking advantage of this. (Really, though, I can't imagine ordering any alcohol to go with my pho. Can you imagine eating pho while drinking a martini? Which, by the way, is on the menu, opposite page to the pho.) The service was pretty quick, and it seems as if they usually take a good survey of all their customers. They almost forgot one of our orders, but it was fixed in a timely manner. The pho was pretty decent, though the price is about $2 more than what I usually pay for in other restaurants. It must be the ambience that I'm paying for. Which, again, isn't bad, but I'm fine with the usual look with just as tasty a pho for the usual price.

What the Pho? indeed. $7+ for a bowl of noodles is pushing it for me. Although Bothell's newest Pho place cooks up a pretty tasty bowl of soup, I can't justify spending that much money on something that I'm used to paying a mere 5 bucks for. It's a beautiful restaurant, with a full bar (that I unfortunately haven't been able to take full advantage of on my lunch breaks). The thing is, it's a bit too "Bellevue" for me...ifyallknowwhatimean. I guess I'm just a Than Bros girl through and through....but I digress. All in all, its a good bowl of soup in a nice atmosphere with a confused (but polite) white girl from Bothell as your server. Considering your options, its not a bad place to go.

As an out of state business traveler who enjoys finding Great pho across the country - this was located across the street from my hotel. The inside is clean, modern and the day I went - there were people at the bar and some in the booths. I looked at the menu a little pricey for this type of ethnic food. I decided to try an entree and also request a small serving of the pho (child's portion). Instead of trying to up sale the order, my waitress tells me I couldn't have the child's portion. She really didn't seem to care what I ordered, just young and inexperience to consider what customer service really means. I asked to speak to manager who was more busy chatting with his buds at the bar than to really show a concern with my question about the pho. So I ordered the spicy shrimp chili sauce it was way too sweet couldn't even finish - not good. The next day I came back and said I'll order the pho since this is the main dish that Vietnamese restaurateurs boast about, the soup was so-so. They did some real shame to the fresh basil they provide for the meal being 3 leaves and a plate of curled up bean sprouts. Will I go there again since it's so convenient to my hotel??? NOT I'd rather travel across town and find a Pho restaurant that truly appreciates my business and knows how to cook authentic food. What the Pho has nothing to offer .

I've eaten a lot of pho and there are only two words to describe my experience here: PHO BULOUS!!!!! I was very impressed with the elegance and presentation this restaurant had. It was very prestigious, more prestigious than the rarest diamond, no wait ....its more prestigious than that, what is more prestigious than a diamond??? i'll tell you... "What the PHO"!!!!

I tried this place night. The service was quick and friendly and the inside of the restaurant was nicely appointed with a full bar. I have eaten lots of Pho and love it. My only complaint was that the broth was a bit too sweet and tasted and smelled of nutmeg or some other sweet spice?? Would have liked the broth to be more savory than sweet.

this is the second what the pho I have visited. The decor is not quite as nice as the south center shop but the food is all the same. great broth, the tendon pho is excellent and the spring rolls great. Service was fantastic, Rodrigo gave great service.

So I went there once and loved it went back a second time and, not so much. This time I tried the Pho would have been awesome if it had come out at a decent temperature, it was warm at best which made everything taste bad.

so I went here and the waitress was soooo unhelpful and couldn't tell us anything on the menu, the food is good, but the service is BLAH!

We go here at least once a month. The Pho is easily the best I've ever had outside of the International District. It is somewhat "Americanized", but you can still get tripe and tendon (my favorite). I have noticed that ordering extra meat adds a couple of dollars to the bill, but doesn't seem to add any more meat to the bowl. I don't understand the criticisms of the "vegetarian Pho". Pho is a "beef" soup. If you want vegetable soup, go to Safeway and grab a can of Campbell's. Vegetarian Pho ranks up there with Sugar-Free Cotton Candy; what's the point?

What the Pho? was pleasant for me on my lunch break. Easily the nicest Pho restaurant I have been to visually. The service was great, the food was OK. The price was a little high, but acceptable. The bar is awesome, the booths are nice, the atmosphere is great. I'll be back.

We love this What the Pho. We've also eaten at the Bellevue location and this one is much trendier and has more friendly service. With fair prices and great food we often eat here two or three nights a week. Their drink menu is a little high priced but besides that you can't go wrong at What the Pho in Bothell. Even if you don't like Pho...their large selection of grilled foods is extremely enjoyable...and you definitely won't complain about the portion sizes! Thank you What the Pho for the many great experiences. I don't know what I would eat without you there.

So went for the first time to try pho a few weeks ago. I should have remembered that I am not a big fan of soup. DUH. So it is really not fair for me to review the pho. Other items were quite good however. The ribs? Delicious.

What the Pho? Ha! You so funny with your cleverness. Too bad you're not clever enough to realize that you're located in a business park and therefore shouldn't be so super expensive (as far as Pho goes . . . ). My lunch buddy and I snacked on some really nill-tastified shrimp fresh rolls and then our Pho came out. Ok, so I know that I complained about how it was assss-pensive, but I also have to admit that it was quite tasty! The broth was super rich with flavor and the portions were generous. But for the good taste 'n such, I could def go somewhere else and save a couple 'o dollah dollah billz and get the same quality.

No, no, no. Terrible, awful. Pho has no fresh anything, no fresh bean sprouts, no lime wedge, no fresh basil. Nothing. Uninteresting broth. Who do these folks think we are? Perhaps that no one in Bothell has ever been to Vietnam, much less any other decent Pho place in the country? Get your garlic and upside-down crosses out and flee.

Very nice setting! I have been to the Bellevue location on few times and this location in Bothell looks great. It looked very clean and dare I say it, upscale for a Pho restaurant, let alone a restaurant in Bothell!

I came here a while ago and wow the service SUCKED. I came here with in a group of four and first, it took forever and a day for them to take our order that we almost left. When we finally received our food, I received mine a good 15 minutes after everyone elses with absolutely no apologies. The noodles were overdone and falling apart. Also, I paid with cash and they "forgot" to give me my $7 change. I felt like I had to twist their arms to get my change back. Basically, food was edible at best, service was horrible and they take your money. (reading other reviews, this isn't the first time this has happened) Bamboo house just across the street is a thousand times better.

This place used to be good but now has new management. The short story is I got a hair in my meal, restaurant manager was rude, tried to convince me it was not a hair. I email the regional manger and the customer service department. They never respond but thy did give my email to the person I was complaining about so they could send me rude and insulting emails. In my opinion it was totally unprofessional for the management at What The Pho to have the person I was complaining about send me rude emails. I will never step foot in one of there restaurants again. The manager had this to say about me calling the health department about the hair in my food. "I'm sorry you have so much time on your hands that you would call the health department." Apparently they feel reporting health violations is unimportant and a waste of time. I guess What The Pho does not feel the health departments role is very important. If you would like to read the email exchange go here. sites.google.com/site/wh…

I think we waited about 40 minutes until we were served our food. We know it was crowded, but all we ordered were the spring rolls and the typical pho tai. We weren't even greeted at the door. Plus, people who came AFTER us were served before us. Overall, really bad customer service.

Ive been to this place a couple times when Im in the area and its simply not that great. The beauty of most vietnamese places is the drab decorations and subtle low down feel. It somehow gives the place a more relaxed and homely feeling. This place tries to make pho a 5 star joint with fancy decor and waiters dressed up. There is nothibg wrong with that, but all that really matters with pho is the taste and value. This place has neither. The 'large' bowl was subpar in taste and in portions. The broth which is usually the best part was watery and tasted like salt water. The size was laughable when you consider a than bros large which is twice as large and so much tastier. The prices are insane for pho. Go to any other pho in lynnwood or seattle and you will get the same size for a couple dollars less. You are basically paying for their expense remodel of the restaraunt. Not recommended by any means. Go to Than Bros or Pho to Chau in Lake City.

I don't know where some of these people are eating. I live right down the street and this is the best pho broth I've ever had. The basil and bean sprouts are always fresh, the spring rolls have all the ingredients, nothing is ever burned. Things that are cold are supposed to be cold and hot that are supposed to be hot. I do have to say the rest of the menu isn't always up to the standards of the pho. I've had some things that weren't to my liking, but that's more a matter of my taste than badly prepared food.

I thought the service and food was great. Spring rolls and the calamari excellent. The pho had plenty of noodles and meat. I am going to try them again. Fantastic.

I may not be a "pho connoisseur" but my husband and I found the food here to be delicious! (and my husband is not a fan of asian food). The soup was great, as was the pork dish I had. I can't remember what it was called, but it was awesome and there was plenty to take home and we felt it was very affordable. The aforementioned white girl who works there, seemed to know her pho, she was very helpful to us more inexperienced pho patrons. The ambiance is very calming, my strained eyes can rest after work. This place is also very close to our house which makes it a great stop on the way home after work. Bothell is finally getting some interesting places to visit.

For a pho restaurant, it has quite the amazing look to it. Finely furnished, a bar, dim lighting and definitely targeted toward the Caucasian sector. The only problem about this restaurant is the prices. A small pho is $6.35 and a large is a whopping $7.35. The pho is pretty tasty and one of the better ones in the area, especially if you aren't willing to drive to Everett or Seattle. The customer service was disappointing and the food takes forever to come out. It's a pretty hip place, but in the end, I'm not willing to spend $7-8 on a bowl of pho and nice decorations.

What the pho- what the phok is more like it! I wondered that as I looked at the ridiculous prices- seven freaking bucks for a small pho? 10 bucks for pork and egg roll bun? 4 dollar egg rolls?! Gat damn! I knew I was on the east side when I saw those prices, not to mention the modern interior. Pop rock was playing semi loud, and there was a full bar with three talkative people (bartender with a killer 'stache included) hanging out. Sort of a good thing. I ordered my standard fare I get when I go to a new Vietnamese joint- bun thit nuong. That is how I set the standard for Vietnamese spots as that is my favourite dish. The food came quickly. I had a lime water while I waited, and my friend had iced tea. The food was large in portion- Marylen's small pho looked like a Than Bros medium. My bowl of bun was huge. Fish sauce was just a tad bit underwhelming. I like it a bit strong so that I can use just a little. I used the whole dish of it that came with my meal! The table was missing the rooster, you know, Sriracha in a bottle, but they did have some type of red chili sauce in a small covered dish on the table. Maybe they figure the bottle is too garish for their east side "upper class flare". Whatever. My dish was pretty foul- ratio of sprouts to the other ingredients was unusually high, and the noodles were very wet, chewy and watered down tasting. I had to put hoisin sauce on the stuff, which I normally only use in my pho, to get a full flavour out of my dish. The meat, pork, was unacceptable. Fucking sick. Sorry to be so blunt, but I had to rip the fat off of each stringy, uncut, and unnecessarily wide strip and it took me super long to eat it. Some of these wide strips were so thin in diameter I could see through them and they were curled and deep brown like a 95 year old lady's beef curtains. The meat wasn't even consistently grilled, some pieces were super burnt and tasted like I imagine a hot roasted donkey turd would. Neither one of us finished our food but my friend said the pho is pretty durn decent there. I might try it again, but after this experience I don't know if I could handle another round. I still don't feel that great. But hey, I did get a GREAT cafe sua da. Next time I will likely pass on the super expensive and grotesque side show that was my dining experience at WTP! and go to the old classics like Cyclo (even that is getting pricey these days!), Pho Bihn and Pho Tic Tac. Damn, I wish Pho Kim was still around. They had the best grilled pork I had ever had. Oh, and did I mention the service is mediocre in the male dominated WTP? Our waiter was more interested in his laptop than my friend trying to wave him over with our check. Hah, hopefully he will read this on his next shift and get off his behind and do his damn job efficiently!

This place serves 3-star pho, but as a Vietnamese restaurant, it's a solid 4. Yes, there are better places for pho, but they don't have a bar. This place is perfect for don't want to drive days - it serves decent pho, good beer and cocktail selections, good appetizers and other non-pho items. If you are into sports, you can sit at the bar and watch TV. Clean and tasteful decor with comfortable booth, I dig this place for the lazy days.

I went to this restaurant what the pho in bothell and it was the worst service i have ever received. Not only that but when i received my bill i did not leave a tip because the waitress Molly was very rude and had a attitude the entire time, so i checked my account the next morning and Molly decided to just leave her self a tip and stole 7 dollars from me. I cannot believe someone would hire someone that is the worst waitress and then steals from her customers. Then i called and the manager did not seem to care one bit that his employee had terrible service and she stole from me. I have to say the pho was not bad though i would never ever recommend this restaurant if you want pho in Bothell go to BAMBOO HOUSE!

When I am in need of those lovely pieces of chewy tripe, soft tendon, and tender medium rare flank steaks simmered in "special" Vietnamese Broth with the fragrance of a fresh squeezed lime and basil leaves, I stroll into What the Pho because it is the closest pho place to my job and has fast service during lunch. I always order a small bowl of the #20 which is reasonably priced ($6.95, but I know that there is cheaper good pho in North Seattle). I am always greeted at the door and am never left waiting to order or without a glass of water. Even if my inital waitress is busy, I get served by other staff. The Pho is always warm and soothing to my stomach. The noodles are cooked very softly and you can cut them with your own teeth. The bean sprouts are always fresh as well as the basil leaves, jalapenos, green onions and wedges of lime. Even though they have the bottles of plum sauce and sriracha on the side, I hardly ever use them because everything is tasty and salty enough. The decor is very modern and does not resemble anything authentically vietnamese, so please do not expect a true vietnamese ambiance. There are several booths against the wall and toward the back, two and four person tables in the open area, small tables in the bar area, and bar stools for the bar. This place was definitely made for large parties should there ever be one. The restaurant does offer a full bar and even makes tapioca ball drinks in addition to the very common vietnamese coffee. There is a TV in the bar area that has ESPN playing what seems to be 24/7. Noise isn't a factor in this restaurant even when it is almost full. Overall, I really enjoy coming to this place because of the friendly, attentive staff, the fact that I can be in-and-out within 15 to 30 minutes during lunchtime, and one of the chefs is actually vietnamese.
