Big caveat: I don't eat fish. For a lot of you that will mean that I have no business talking about a sushi place. I do like veggie sushi rolls and other Japanese foods, so you decide whether to listen to me. Sushi Zone is an unassuming conveyor belt sushi bar right in old downtown Bothell. They have a double-decker belt, with cold stuff on the top and hot stuff on the bottom. I had chicken katsu, gyoza, cucumber roll, and avocado roll, plus tiny cream puffs for dessert. It was all very good. The ingredients seemed to be high quality and taste was as I expected it. Service was very attentive, if not genuinely friendly. When I plucked my katsu out of the hot belt sliding doors, I barely had time to wonder where the katsu sauce was before a server was there with a dish of it for me. I had been to Blue C in U Village only a couple of days before and I thought Sushi Zone was every bit as good. Plus it was less than half the price! I got seven plates and paid about twelve dollars. I will definitely be back.

Great location and great food. Price is very reasonable. Definitely a go to place in Bothell for sushi!
(4)Natasha B.
Sushi and sushi rolls are excellent here! Try some original ones like Dragon, Seattle or Tiger.

I liked the wait staff, our girl was new but she was very polite, she didn't know all the ingredients for certain rolls but had a cheat sheet to check. She was about 50/50 with English. Decor was kawaaaaiiii much like any other sushi place, painting on the wall was cool. Booths and lots of privacy, double conveyor (wasn't being used much when we went) I liked the food: it was sushi, I like sushi, pretty straight forward. My boyfriend was glad to eat food, I can't remember if he liked it too. --- Noticed that 3 stars says 'A-OK' which I would definitively rate this place...reason why it got 4 stars instead, it was open the latest out of all the places in Bothell. My boyfriend and I always seem to go out late to eat.... 4 stars because we will go back to try it out again!

Mmmm! Conveyor belt sushi that is delicious!

I just luv Kaiten sushi, granted I'm forever looking for a true Japan experience, such as, the bells and whistles of a belt sushi place that might have some of the following...computer driven menu system/electronic games/pachinko parlor sound levels/ and possible Las Vegas showgirl experience, I do realize, this is Bothell of all places, so I toned down my expectations. (sample wish...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yaebCtoWS0) Thus, I give it 4 Yelp stars for the free parking in the back, the clean sushi runway, and optional menu for which the non-Kaiten sushi visitor might wish to indulge. Granted I'm not sure who would want opt out of pure BELT fun!! Service was great, while some "Engrish" was spoken by the non-Japanese staff, all was good. What I found was, if you wanted something that wasn't on the belt at that time, all you had to do was ask for it and the staff was more that willing to lend a hand. This was the first Belt-sushi joint I've been to were there were 2 belts running at the same time, which was nice, upper belt was the "cool" side, while the lower belt hosted the "warm/hot" items. Tea was decent, I might add, as were the choices. Granted don't expect fine sushi mastery here, it just simple, tasty and a nice varied menu "hot" items that I like to see. Check'em out!

Good Sushi at a great price, especially for lunch. Great staff/waitresses. I go 1 to 2 times a week at lunch. Highly recommend the salmon, rainbow roll and bothell roll.

Even though I live waaay over in Ballard, I'm a big fan of Sushi Zone! My girlfriend introduced me to this place and now we make the trek over every couple of weeks or so. We were actually there last night, and I experienced their happy hour for the first time! It's ridiculous. ALL plates go to $1.50 (I think, it was her turn to treat) which is ridickledockle. Their prices are already cheap in the first place! I'd have to say the quality of ingredients is pretty darn good considering the price you're paying. My favorites include the Fantasy Roll and the Sweet Potato Roll with soy paper. If you're in the area, give a try, and see if you can make it for during happy hour!

So I am what you'd call a sushi virgin. I've ate cucumber and veggie rolls but those technically are not sushi. My sister in law, who is half Japanese and half Chinese is what I would consider an expert on these things and her favorite place around is Umi Saki, but I haven't made it there with her yet, so I asked if she'd going to Sushi Zone with me today. We both loved the double conveyor belt thing! The gyoza, which I always get whenever I go to Teriyaki etc, were FABULOUS! The spring rolls were icky. The chicken teriyaki was yummy, as well as the yakisoba. I liked that it wasn't overly salty. So to the sushi. We had the spicy tuna, the yellowtail, and a tempura one with cream cheese in it. I loved them ALL but my fav was the yellowtail, it was soooo delicious! Service was great, my water was topped off twice and when we wanted more gyoza when they ran out, they promptly made more. We ate a lot and fed my little niece and nephew too for just under $60. The place was nice and clean too. I'll go back regularly since this is so close to me and although my sis in law said it was no Umi she said it was good for a local place. So there ya go.
(4)Sylvia F.
Nice decor, plenty of parking on the street, friendly and attentive staff, and most importantly, the sushi was really good. It's not the BEST sushi you will ever eat, but it's far more than adequate for a neighborhood belt sushi place. What's even better, and deserves a 4.5, is the hot belt. Now my kids can basically assemble their own bento boxes with sushi rolls, gyoza, yakisoba and even fresh fruit! And, they have mochi ice cream for dessert. And the prices were good too!
(4)Joni G.
Awesome cheap happy hour and such friendly service!!!

I was really excited to check this place out since not many new places pop up around downtown Bothell. I came here with my dad and lil brother, both were hesitant because they like their regular sushi joints (Sushi ten for my dad, Sushiland for my brother) they go to...but I wanted to try it. We were seated in a nice BIG, tall booth next to the belts, super comfy! The whole place was clean, and the food was FRESH! The double conveyor belts are AWESOME! My dad was surprisingly into it. My brother, who is a sushi snob, said the rainbow roll was one of the best ones hes ever had! The chicken yakitori was tender and hot! I am really impressed. I tried to tempura shrimp and veggie...really good! It was hot when I pulled it off the belt and really crispy. I think there is something here for everyone. The pricing was so-so, but can add up quick. I thought the yakitori was expensive but some of the sushi was not. I think this is a new favorite place of mine, I cross my fingers they stay consistent!!!!

Cute place. Nice to have conveyor belt sushi in Bothell. Had a good assortment of roles but none that I was a huge fan of. They were making them fresh perhaps that's why the rice on the sushi roll was warm. They did also have a conveyor belt of warm dishes going around underneath the sushi...but I think this is what made it hard to see what the plates were...had to sit up and see.
(3)Ally S.
This place is going super downhill fast. It's really sad. I used to love this place and come in often (multiple times a week). The last three times I've been in the food prices went up but the quality went down, then one time there was nothing on the belt at all and we had to order off the menu and wait which was kind of out of the norm. Our last and final attempt however was made today, we just tried to go in for lunch and one lady sat us at a booth, then another lady came up and told us to move that it was another customers seating. So we just left and now we will never come back. I hope Kirkland has a nice sushi place... Searching for a new one now!

UPDATE Sept 2012 Looks like the service has improved. There has been a greater sense of urgency and customer service to the patrons by the wait staff. We have been back to Sushi Zone about 3 times since I wrote my original review and things are improving, service wise. Food is still great, glad to see that perhaps they are reading their Yelp reviews. I'll upgrade their mark from 3 stars to 4 stars now due to the better service :)
(4)Victoria K.
This is a conveyor belt sushi bar, but it's not just any conveyor belt.... it is a double decker one, with a hot bar on the bottom and a cold bar on top. I'd check out the lunch special if i were you, everything on the belt is only $1.25 or $1.75, which saves you quite a bit. 12 plates and one order of super white tuna ($3) for only a little over $20. Now that is pretty awesome. The sushi is great, I love the tobiko. Good nice place, not the greatest sushi, but great price and not bad for conveyor belt sushi. They also have bento boxes and combos if you want to order that instead.
(4)Sasha B.
This is really my favorite conveyor belt sushi establishment right now. The service is great, the selection is nice, and the fish is fresh. SOLD. Unlike the sushi place I typically frequent, SushiZone organizes their belt in such a way that you can always tell what you're getting and if they're serving it. Of course you can always order a dish if it's not on the belt, but really...I'd prefer to get it off the belt. Because that's what you do at a conveyor belt sushi joint. To keep this short and sweet, I really enjoy going here, and I would recommend it to my friends. I mean, what's not to like? Great food, service, easy parking, close to home, and great food (if I haven't emphasized that point enough) - DONE.
(5)Derrick R.
As a sushi-noob I always like the Kaiten spots best because you can try everything out and if something offends your mouth, you only have to feed a couple pieces to the dog when you get home and not an entire $12 roll. One of the big plusses...yeah, plusses. To this place is that they put a label before every different roll with it's name and ingredients so you know what you're signing up for before you snatch the plate up. Color coded pricing makes budgeting your grub extra easy, and the girls that work there are always very cheerful, which I like. The decor is nothing special really, but the place is always clean and they usually have a sports game or something playing on the TVs. Try the happy hour on weekdays, the portions are slightly smaller and some of the more badass rolls aren't always on the belt, but you'll save a lot of money, that way you can go 4 times a week like I do :)

The boyfriend and I really enjoy coming here, especially since he isn't really into sushi at all. I, on the other hand, love sushi! It's perfect with the hot belt and the cool belt running simultaneously. There is enough variety for both of us to feel we have had that conveyor belt experience. Normally at these types of places, it's me stacking up bunches of different types of plates, sampling this and that, and him grabbing the chicken katsu or gyozas alternately a few times and looking uncomfortable. Because he has become more comfortable here, he has even started branching out to some of the rolls! I find that asking for a drink menu ensures that the wait staff will pay more attention to you - it signifies that you are going to want to speak with them again. We discovered this the second time we visited. I would say we have been coming twice monthly for several months now. I get my sushi fix, he gets to feel adventurous with his dinner, and we are both happy and full every time. The only thing I dislike about this place is the freaky women's bathroom! There is a fan or something very. very loud above it, and it sounds like a jet taking off above your head! I hate going in there!!

My dad is always looking for new places to eat, even if it's out of the way. We ended up here for our usual Sunday family outing dinner. We went around 4ish, right before the dinner rush. We were seated in a booth and any place that accommodates to my daughter, whether it be a kid's menu, kid's cup for milk or water, or even just providing a booster chair, they will get good reviews from me. :) It was pretty interesting to see that their sushi conveyor belt not only consisted of sushi, but there was also a "hot" conveyor belt underneath for your hot orders, such as tempura, dim sum dishes, etc. Gotta give them a thumbs-up on that for being different from your usual sushi conveyor restaurants. A lot of the stuff we wanted, we had to order since it wasn't quite the peak hour for their belts to be full of food. So all of our dishes were prepared fresh. YUM! My daughter was completely satisfied with her udon, as well as the rest of the family was content with their orders of sushi. This is definitely a sushi place to check out!
(4)Sarah P.
My friends took me here last year, and I've been hooked every since. They have probably the best happy hour deals around, and I love their menu. They have all the basics like cucumber rolls, etc. but they also have some great items like sweet potato rolls, and delicious hot dishes. The service is great, sometimes they're a little busy, but it's worth the wait!

This is one of our go-to places for Kaiten sushi in the greater Seattle area. It's all reasonably priced and good quality for the cost. The service has improved since we first started going a few years ago. The servers check in frequently and special orders don't take forever. The double belt set-up with the hot belt is fantastic. Keep in mind that this is the fast-food of sushi, and with most Kaiten places you get what you pay for, but this is better than most.
(4)Sarah E.
this place is the best belt sushi I have eaten in along time. it's super cheap during lunch time. and it's a good amount of sushi around lunch time.
(5)Dane M.
SushiZone is clean and the dining area is definitely a step above the cefateria-style conveyor belt restaurants. I arrived around 11:30am for lunch to catch the first preparations of the day but before the lunch crowd rolled in. I really liked the green tea which is steeped in a large bag and left in the cup. The servers refill the cup with hot water and it remained flavorful, without being strong or weak, during the 30 minutes I was seated. While I wasn't bothered by the $1.75 charge for tea when it's usually free, all the little things add up. The sushi was hit and miss, but more miss. I didn't venture into the hot section. I had albacore, unagi, hamachi, shrimp tempura roll, dragon roll and SushiZone roll. The only standout item was the SushiZone roll, which had a great jalapeno sauce on it, the flavors were fresh and the roll was moist. The nigiri quality was acceptable, but overall bland and the rice was consistently crumbly and dry. The shrimp tempura roll was simply not good - incredibly dry and stiff and the flavor was predominately the large cucumber slices. The dragon roll was almost as bad, with the similar bland cucumber flavor that didn't compliment the avocado or the ulra thin slice of eel inside. The bill was $23 and change. After tip, that's close to $30 for a sushi lunch. I can get an amazing sushi lunch combo (with _wild_ salmon) at Momoya in Kirkland, plus an extra order of nigiri, for $20 after tax/tip and the sushi quality and service is leaps and bounds better. The most enjoyable part of the experience was that I really should go to "old downtown" Bothell more often... I love the small town atmosphere, it's very compact and easy to walk, there's parking everywhere, and I noticed an alehouse and two cafes that look like they may be winners.

A lot of yelpers seemed to like this place, and I'm on a mission to review (or at least try) every Sushi place within a reasonable driving place, so to SushZone I went! On entering I was surprised at the decor. Most conveyor belt sushi places are nothing special. This place was actually better than some of the make on demand places I've been to. J-Pop playing in the background, nice art on the walls, some tv with captions, granite countertops, nice plates. My only complaint was that there should be more people there. This place rocks. I gotta say that for conveyor belt sushi, the fish was very good, not really a super huge fish selection, but not horrible. Their rolls are where they shine. Many selections in this department. There are also hot items in the lower belt. That's right, they have double decker belt system. Closed hot system for hot goodies under, and above it are your rolls and things. I gotta say this seems to work a lot better than the other systems places have, even the under flame system Blue-C has. Service was polite, unlike some conveyor belt places, the servers don't hover over you and make sure you're super happy, I wasn't ignored either. Keep in mind it was somewhat slow so this may vary. What I missed: More fish please! Also for the hot items you need to ask for the relative sauces (tempura, katsu, etc). I was really hoping for cream puffs. I will never again feel the need to drive all the way to Blue C from Woodinville. SushiZone is easily as good (in some ways better) as Blue C in terms of quality and atmosphere. Easily one of the best kaiten sushi places on the eastside!
(4)Jamil A.
If you want good sushi, skip this place. It was horrible. The wasabi was so tasteless you can eat it alone. Fish was not fresh. Poor quality. There is a much better place down the street.
(1)Lily H.
I love this joint! The service is always prompt and the rolls are great, plus they're cheaper than Blue C's. There isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said, but one tip: Don't come here around 4. There's absolutely nothing on the belt (what little there is has clearly been circling for a while) and they'll try and shepherd you out the door since they have a half hour break before the dinner rush starts.
(4)Jay C.
As I entered this new restaurant in Bothell's new Main St building, I noticed that the decor is a clean comfy casual contemporary. The conveyor belt is a clever double decker - the top is cold sushis, the bottom is an encased set of warm entrees with almost as many creative choices as the cold ones. Before maturing in my tastes and becoming somewhat of a sushi snob, I used to be a major proponent of Marineopolis SushiLand. In retrospect, I find that SushiLand's portion size, freshness, and quality are lacking. With respect to the food and service, SushiZone is the exact opposite. The size of the pieces are huge, and I can only eat a few plates (as opposed to 7 or so at other conveyor establishments). The filling and fresh quality of the sushi and hot entrees set this place apart. Unfortunately, it can get rather pricey. I guess you get what you pay for, but that's a good thing in this case. I give this four stars because of how I got an Ikura (salmon roe) that had more rice than eggs on it. Also, the eggs didn't pop as well as I'd hoped they would. The service was stellar... They were reading my mind. I'll probably go back once in a while as they're expensive.
(4)Jill Z.
SushiZone is pretty darn good as far as conveyor belt sushi goes. They have a lot of interesting and inventive rolls to choose from, and a great selection of non-sushi side dish items (adamame, teriyaki, fruit, etc). The atmosphere here is fun, with Japanese pop music and a very cool mural on one wall. The staff is very friendly and quick to bring you requested items, like sauces and drinks. Pros: lots of great options, something for everyone. The hot belt is enclosed to keep the food warm, and it really works. The prices are very affordable. Cons: not many choices for simple fish rolls (like tuna roll), and no cream puffs.
(4)Becca P.
We love Sushi Zone! The prices are reasonable at dinner time, but AWESOME at lunch, everything under $2. They have a wider selection at dinner, but still have a great selection at lunch including a lot of the fancier rolls. They have high chairs and our toddler loves eating here too.
(5)Halle S.
I love this place!! Its belt-style sushi...which isn't always the BEST, but they do have a great selection of different rolls! The prices are reasonable, but the best time to go is happy hour from 8:30 to 9:30 pm...$1.25 for any plate of sushi shown on the belt...even if its out of stock on the belt...and there is a sign for it on there, all you have to do is order it and its $1.25...and you know its freshly made! For the price, you can't beat it! Way better atmosphere and service than SushiLand and Blue C.
(5)Katie H.
Disgusting. Not sure how they managed to even ruin a spicy tuna roll but this place did it. Don't fall for the happy hour coupon in the mail. They put out some sushi at 8 and by the time we got there at 8:15 most was gone! What was left looked old. The waitress said they don't refill for happy hour, once its gone its gone! I felt like I had been tricked by false advertising. If you want anything that isnt on the belt you have to pay full price. I will never go back here and actually felt sick from the rubbery yellowfin tuna.
(1)Brian D.
I am not a huge fan of belt sushi; but, decided to give this place a try after stumbling upon it today while looking for new lunch options. I have to say, I was impressed. The quality was of the rolls were very good. My only complaint was there was no Maguro available. I will be back to visit again and bring others with me!
(4)jon M.
I have to admit that the double level conveyor belt is cool and the Hamachi was fresh, delicious and cut very well but overall it was just average. The selection on the belt was non-existent so we just ordered from the menu. They had a few rolls which featured mango but it was really just a a puree that is drizzled on top. I would be up to try it again though. Note: The Later Happy Hour is not a happy our it is a Left Over Hour, and the time we went there was barely anything and the stuff they did have was barely edible. The Sesame Mochi balls were hard as rocks.
(3)Alexandra K.
My husband and me are big sushi fans and we were very excited to visit this place. We tried the california rolls (of course! we have to try them in every restaurant lol) and they were delicious. The smelt roe rolls was very nice as well but really big, i had to eat it in two bites, larger than the one at sushi land. The seared salmon lacked some flavor, i dont think we will be ordering it again. I wanted to try thier banana tampura dessert but they were out :( so instead i tried the ice cream tampura, its a vanilla ice cream ball deep fried in tampura batter and it was very delicious, a little pricy ($4) for the small portion, but delicious. Overall, i liked the restaurant but i felt that it was slightly expensive (Sushi Land's quality is the same and the prices are 20-30% cheaper). We will probably visit it again but Sushi land is still my #1 quick conveyor belt place.

Hi Yelp...I've missed you. I'm sorry I've been away, you see, life got really busy all of the sudden. But I'm back and to make up to you for my absence, I'd like to offer up a humble review of a lovely little sushi place in Bothell. Meet SushiZone. They've been promising us this place for a long time now and I've been waiting rather impatiently for it to show up, so when it did, there was rejoicing and an immediate trip there. DOWN: kinda quiet on a Saturday afternoon. On the other hand, it was after lunch so who knows. (Please, go. I mean, I don't want this place to be so busy I can't get in, but let's keep it around...) UP: they had football on TV. UP: it's really nicely appointed. UP: THERE'S TWO LEVELS OF CONVEYOR BELT. The bottom is enclosed with little doors for easy access and it's for the hot foods only. The top is for the raw stuffs. And oh, what lovely things, those raw stuffs. Rainbow rolls on conveyor belt sushi? Are you kidding? That doesn't happen ever! The fish was fresh, the rice was appropriately sticky (and you know how I am about that), and the selection and price range pretty wide. Of note: did not see albacore, and that's why there's a star missing. The warm stuff involves your usual suspects - tempura, baked mussels, yakitori, yakisoba, and interestingly...bacon wrapped scallops. Those didn't come out until we'd paid (d'oh!) so there's no way for us to know if they're good but they LOOK good. And really...bacon. And scallops. Those two were meant to be together. Service was polite and friendly and they refilled my diet soda and the boyfriend's tea quickly. I dig this place a LOT. Still love me some Hana Sushi right up the street, but for slightly cheaper, more casual times I'll be hitting up SushiZone.
(4)Shayla J.
Want better quality then Blue C and less expensive plates? Try Sushi Zone in Bothell! Their service is flawless, and if you don't like a plate, they will take it back from you, and not charge you for the plate. What I love about this place is the fact you can take advantage of the happy hour, from 8PM - Close, and all the plates become 1.25! Awesome! I realize that these the plates left over from the end of the day but they still have a pretty decent selection. More clean then most conveyor sushi restraunts. The only thing I wasn't too excited about is since it's a double layer sushi belt, the steam from the hot conveyer belt on the bottom warms the sushi rolls on the top layer. A little of a health concern, and I have sent a couple plates back as a result of warm rolls, and warm fish in my mouth. Yuck!
(4)Jan L.
I've been to SushiZone several times now and am still impressed by the food, the ambiance and the customer service. My girls grew up loving the raw stuff but unfortunately for them I didn't:-P I like that they have a dual conveyor belt for hot and cold foods but I have to admit I wish they had more selection of 'cooked' sushi. I can't complain though...their hot items includes bacon wrapped scallops, veggie and shrimp tempura, chicken karage and katsu and beef yakitori! Its so nice to have a good sushi place close to home and close to the businesses I support. They're located right off of Downtown Bothell's Main Street and what makes them even more sweeter is that they're open for lunch on Sunday!! The prices aren't too bad when it comes to the choices in this area and I love the convenience, esp when I'm too lazy to make lunch on the weekends.
(4)Industrial P.
If you are looking for quality and quantity you have found your next place to eat, happy hour ($1.25 a plate) is cheap as it gets with out losing feshness and service.
(5)Halle B.
The service was excellent, I love the location but the food was really really bad. I am no stranger to kaiten sushi. I've eaten at blue c, aa sushi, sushi me, genki sushi and this is my least favorite. First of all, a double decker converyor belt makes no sense. I have to practically stand to see the food on the top and crouch down while peering through a fogged up window to see the hot food on the bottom. Next, I love fried oysters but these did not taste good. I took one bite and refused to finish the rest. Most of the hot items were fried which I don't really like. My family loves sushi but even my son was not crazy about the nigiri here (and he eats a lot of it normally). My family was not happy here and I don't believe they will let me choose a new restaurant to go to for a while. Again, great service and nice decor, (oh, my youngest enjoyed the fried chicken katsu) but overall I will not be going back here because the food wasn't tasty.
(2)John M.
Good if you are looking for a quick sushi fix as it is a conveyer. However, they have the smallest sushi I have ever seen. Other than that everything is pretty standard, nothing special. Nice clean place.
(2)Silvia H.
As Steve W. noted it IS better than Blue C sushi and so are the prices. During lunch you can get a 3-piece sushi roll for $1.75. On average I spend about $12 with tip for lunch and that's having everything I've wanted (rainbow roll, seattle roll, spider roll, salmon nigiri, tempura, and watermelon). These are small servings but you can try a little of everything. The ladies who work there have always been attentive and the place is clean. I think the best time to get there is 11:30 after they're done setting everything up.
(4)Branden B.
Best damn Coconut Shrimp I've had since having them in Hawaii. I love the sushi here, great selection. But I really just come for the coconut shrimp. Their service is always spot on as well.
(5)Jason R.
Ive gone to Sushi Zone twice now and both times they had warm fish cold miso and they sat me by the door where there's a very large draft. Never again.
(1)Christina H.
I am glad to see new business goes into downtown Bothell. It is a cool place to hang out if you are already in Bothell and don't want to drive far for a quick bite. The two level conveyor belt is popular in my party, as many are not fond of raw food. In fact, their rolls are way better than sushi. Hot food is better than cold ones. Although the entire staff is Chinese, they made decent American Japanese food. There was only one waitress also served as hostess. I hope they worked out their kinks sooner and offer more selections. How I hope this business will thrive.
(3)Michael S.
What can we say? It's OK. It's not very expensive, for sushi. But nothing special.
(3)Travis M.
JUST GOT DUPED AND RIPPED OFF! I am a regular here, and so I was pretty excited to receive a coupon in the mail for 30% entire bill on Sunday between 4:30 - 8:00. When I sat down, I noticed that everything was double the price it usually is. That dampened my excitement considerably, because if I wanted to take advantage of the 30% off, I would still have to choose less plates than I usually get in order to save any money. But, since there were specialty plates on the conveyer-belt that aren't usually up, I thought I would indulge a bit a reach for a few $4-$5 plates. I racked up a $19 bill and, with the coupon, I expected to save about $5. $14 is still pricey for conveyer-belt sushi, but the sushi I had was good and rare. This next part, though, is what had me very upset walking out the door. I handed the coupon to the cashier, and she glanced at it and said they don't take the coupon. "WHAT!?" Is what went through my head, but instead I asked why and she said it was expired since September. I looked at it and so it was? Note- as I said before, I had JUST received this friggin coupon in the mail. I didn't bother to check the expiration because I basically used it immediately. September?! Some young man who was in charge but didn't look like he should be came up to see what was going on. They exchanged a few words in Japanese and then they laughed and he walked away without saying anything to me. LAUGHED. I was shocked. I ended up paying the full price. I tried to explain to the cashier that I haven't even been living at my current address since before September, and since I had already paid, she made a pushing motion with her hands to get me to leave. The service is usually ok, the food is always good, but since I am a regular at this establishment and the cooks and even the cashier recognize my face, you would think that they wouldn't have tried to swindle me out of my money by using a coupon scam. I'm only giving this 2 stars because the food is satisfactory and the atmosphere is ok. But don't trust a single one of em if you do decided to eat there.

I am a pretty experienced sushi eater, and for conveyor belt sushi, this is as good as it gets outside of Japan. I am giving it full stars because sushi zone knows what its supposed to be, and does it exceedingly well. For a quick lunch eat I was exceeding surprised at how well they monitored the food on the conveyor belt to ensure that it is fresh. Service was prompt (60 seconds for my tea, 4 minutes for an amazing spicy tuna hand roll) and the selection was not bad. The Japanese fried chicken was cooked perfectly, tender inside, lightly fried on the outside, so that it didn't feel at all heavy eating it. The rolls were fresh, with the rice cooled to the right temperature for that perfect temperature. For the best in conveyor belt sushi, its definitely hard to beat sushi zone.

I wasn't impressed. I'm not a sushi person but the non sushi options should at least be good. I had chicken teriyaki and it really didn't have much taste. The waitress was nice but really didn't check on us very much.
(2)Steve W.
Better than Blue C, no question. Good atmosphere, much quieter and warm. A bit less expensive too. We live about 5 miles away and somehow this place has been here for 2 yrs and we had no idea. Great variety of several "house" rolls that I have never seem before. Spice Girl Roll is awesome.

We first explored Sushi Zone on a whim, because it was late-ish, we were all hungry, and sushi just sounded good. With one picky kid and the other just beginning to explore his sushi likes/dislikes, Sushi Zone was a great choice. The service has been good every time we visit, though we tend to eat there after the dining rush. My youngest is not a chopstick pro (yet) and the waitress always offers a rubber-band special. While another reviewer bemoaned the two-tiered sushi belts, it was quite clear to us that the lower belt is designed to keep hot foods hot. Despite having to be more watchful for hot dishes (the shuumai are very tasty, but seem minced) the system left nothing to complain about. My only complaints: The seaweed salad is just a little too...something? I've had it twice now and the flavor is stronger and sweeter than other seaweed salads. My last mochi was a little over-frozen so I had to let it sit a while. While I've had better sushi at places like FLO and Sushi Sam's, the price and service here at Sushi Zone make it a good family restaurant choice. Prices are reasonable and you should ask for anything you want but don't see on the belt.
(4)Dustin H.
This is conveyer-belt sushi at its best. The sushi was fresh, the 'house' rolls were creative and delicious (I recommend the Seattle Roll). Also, the staff was fantastic and quick in sitting me and refilling my beverage.
(5)Molly O.
I come here all the time. Good sushi for the price, plus the 2-tier conveyor line is awesome. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.
(5)Steve L.
I went there on Sunday, after the Seahawks game. Not too busy but the food was excellent. The service staff was ready to serve. They keep an eye on you to see what you pull off the belts and are right there with the correct sauce for that sushi. Very nice people and a very clean restaurant. The price is pretty reasonable and the variety of foods make this a place for people who may be picky on what sushi they prefer. I'm going back for more!
(4)Valeria T.
Great sushi place and so close to home makes even better. The waitresses are very polite. Food is very good. Price is decent.
(5)Janet S.
I ate lunch here for the first time today and thought it was very good. Everything was very fresh. The lower enclosed conveyor belt for warm items is a great feature. Friendly service, but not easy to communicate in English with the staff.
(4)Sam R.
I've tried most of the conveyor belt sushi places in the area, and Sushi Zone is my favorite. It was also one of the more expensive places, but the quality was worth it for the occassional splurge at lunchtime. Recently, they've been offering a weekday lunchtime special where EVERY plate on the conveyor belt is either $1.25 or $1.75. With this deal going on, I've been eating here at least once a week! Two pieces of decent quality nigiri for $1.75 is hard to beat. Decent street parking nearby, and there's a private lot in the back, off of NE 183rd (Fir St?) that doesn't have signage. You walk through the building to the restaurant at the front (off of Main St).
(4)Paul K.
We've been here about 5 times since it's opened. We have 4 young kids so it's nice to find a place where they will all like something to eat. The double level conveyer belt is a cool newer concept and a great addition. Items on the lower belt are pretty much all cooked and are warm. That is where the tempura, teriyaki chicken, yakisoba noodles, etc are kept. The upper belt has all the traditional conveyer belt sushi items with an identifying sign prior to the dishes on the belt. The place is nice and new and there are attentive staff members. They always ask us if we need the kid-altered chopsticks right away, which is nice. There are usually 20% off coupons in the local papers or on the internet. They also have $1.25/plate happy hour sessions which really cut the bill down. Good place, and great for kids.

My husband and I live 4 blocks from Sushizone and we were hooked after our first visit. We regularly eat here (close to once a week) and the service is always great. We are known by name here and the our waitress is starting to remember our typical orders! We always get the spicy tuna roll, the seattle roll, the mango roll is delicious, and occasionally a chef's special roll. Other items we frequent are the agadashi tofu, gyoza, sesame balls and of course - the green tea icecream. The only thing I have had and would not recommend is the udon - the broth was not the traditional flavor. For conveyor belt sushi - it's good quality and fresh fish. A step up from Blue C and Sushizone. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick, yet delicious meal!
(5)Lisa B.
This is as good as it gets for conveyor belt sushi! Forget about Sushi Land, Genki and Blue C. You might pay a few more dollars at SushiZone, but the quality and selection is worth it. The servers were friendly and attentive, coming to the table often to fill drinks and ask if anything else was needed. I will definitely be eating at this restaurant at lease once per week. Yum!
(4)Amanda W.
This place is one of the best and most authentic tasting sushi I have tried in the area thus far! I think the double decker belt is ingenious, but they refer to it as the only one in the nation and I just have a hard time believing that. Service was fast and the waitress DID speak English (in reference to a review posted earlier). I like how they put a plate with the name of the sushi that was going to follow it. They have some pretty unique rolls too, like the Godzilla roll with a strip of jalapeño in it. The bacon and scallop roll was awesome too! A lot more variety than Blue C and sushi land. So why the one star then, well the prices are insane! I am very willing to pay a little more for great quality food (which this place has) but even these prices per plate were exorbitant. The trick though is to go the last hour of business when all plates are $1.25.... But I hear a lot of people know that and it's packed, so I suggest getting a seat early.
(4)Jen B.
For a conveyor belt place they have a much larger variety than normal. They also have a variety of plate prices, 5 if I remember correctly. They place is super nice and clean inside. I'm not sure how this place will stay in buisiness it seems like the overhead is just too high. Hopefully it stays around.
(4)Kelly L.
Compared to Genki Sushi and Blue C Sushi, the quality, selection and prices are definitely not as good. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Not sure if I would come back.
(3)William R.
Today, my wife and I had lunch here - our first visit. Sadly, we were the only patrons in the restaurant. It's a new business and if they market properly, I think they will succeed. The business model is conveyor belt - a growing phenom in the sushi world. Additionally, it's a 2-tier system - with hot food on the bottom tier. The bottom tier hot food is only warm - where it should be hot. I think they keep it warm to avoid customers burning themselves. Anyway, the sushi is very good. Not the best in Bothell but very good and reasonably priced: Plates run from $2.50 up to $5.00. Plates are color-coded so you can easily monitor the cost as you dine. Beer and wine are served as well as desserts and fresh fruit. The owners and waitstaff are Chinese but the food is authentic Japanese and worth a visit.
(4)K H.
This place is not Hana Sushi, just up Main St. in Bothell, but it's okay. It's super cheap sushi. The cuts of sushi aren't large and juicy or anything, but it's inexpensive. The belts and belt doors are a little tired, but it's all okay. It just kind of cuts corners in a weird way. I guess you get what you pay for. I think I'd rather spend the money on Hana though, the quality is just better.
(3)T J.
A great place to go for lunch. The hot items are placed on a conveyor belt, which is nice, and they're always willing to make a roll or dish that isn't on the belt if you ask. The only problem is that it's inconsistent. Sometimes there will be four stuffed mushrooms, sometimes two. Sometimes the salmon will be amazing; other times it simply won't be.
(4)Melissa H.
Love this place!! Sushi Zone has hands down become our favorite Bothell dinner spot. Love the options . . . new types of rolls all of the time and of course they can make anything you don't see zipping by on the belt.
(5)Tonya N.
Average conveyor belt place, clean... good service, a little pricier than Sushiland, comparable to Blue C. Very cool double belt. Their wasabi mayo is very good.
(3)Luieg G.
Went for dinner and spent just as much as I would have if I went to Hana's up the street. Poorly designed distribution belt. Sushi is placed on a belt above the hot entree belt therefore making the sushi warm. I gave it an extra star for service which was very good. Probably will not go back again until I read a review where the improve their delivery method.
(2)Wendy S.
With small kids, conveyor belt is awesome! instant gratification for those hungry and busy hands! Service was good. Sushi good. Will definitely come back to try out happy hour!
(3)Patrick L.
We were pleasently surprised to see yet another conveyor belt sushi place. Been there twice now and i will go back. the kids enjoyed all the sushi. IT IS a bit pricier than sushiland but being so close to home the additional $$ is worth it on a school night. We had to ask for sushi and they seem to be very SLOW in filling up the belt. but it came pretty quick and the kids did not complain about the wait.
(4)Peter R.
The wait staff is very pleasant and attentive, the sushi is of average quality (about what one would expect (maybe slightly better) of conveyor-belt sushi), the sushi selection is good, the prices are slightly above average. Overall, pretty good, with one glaring exception: the sushi conveyor system is flawed. SushiZone has actually a rather innovative two tiered conveyor: the first (bottom) tier is an enclosed conveyor that is heated--this is where all the warm dishes are available; the second (top) tier is open and is where all the cold sushi, etc. dishes are available--pretty cool. Unfortunately, this design is flawed--it should be reversed; i.e., the warmed conveyor should be on the top, the cold conveyor should be on the bottom (remember, heat rises). As designed, the sushi that circles on the top conveyor is continually warmed by the heated conveyor below it--not good. First, I am not partial to tepid sushi, second, and more importantly, the continual heat from below seems to me an excellent way to encourage the propagation of whatever bacteria is on the sushi. Conveyor sushi has, in general, an abbreviated shelf life (i.e., it can only circle a non-refrigerated conveyor so many times before the possibility of food poisoning becomes too high); the shelf life of SushiZone's sushi I suspect is extremely brief as, not only is its top conveyor not refrigerated (which is standard with conveyor sushi), it is actually, effectively, a heated conveyor. I'm not going to declare definitively that SushiZone's sushi made me sick (because I have no way of knowing for sure), but after eating there both my wife and I had diarrhea for a week. Maybe it was SushiZone's sushi, maybe not, but considering that we both ate SushiZone's warmed sushi and that both experienced diarrhea shortly thereafter, it seems at least plausible that SushiZone's sushi was the culprit. To be fair, anyone who eats conveyor sushi is accepting a higher than average risk of food poisoning (after all folks, it's raw fish that circles incessantly without refrigeration!). A consumer who becomes sick from knowingly eating raw fish has few to blame but him or herself--such poisoning is the risk borne by those desiring and choosing to eat such food. Hence, absent a conveyor sushi restaurant's gross negligence a little diarrhea now and then is the price consumers should expect to pay for eating such food. In sum, there is inherent risk in eating sushi; however, I think the risk (due to a flawed conveyor design) is appreciably higher at SushiZone. In realization of this fact I will not eat there again until their conveyor problem is addressed.
(2)Malyssa C.
This is probably my favorite sushi place. It's close to home and it's reasonably priced. I love their happy hour. I heard about this place from a friend and I'm very critical when it comes to sushi. I went and was very happy that I did. I go quite often.
(4)Leah L.
Good food. Good value. I'm a fan!
(4)Zulkiffly S.
Went here yesterday (December 8, 2010) for the first time. I really like the layout. It was very wellcoming. The food was good. Everything tasted fresh. And I like their design of the hot plates being on it own belt with a heater to keep it warm. I enjoyed everything except for the spicey tuna. It was not spicey at all. I couldn't taste spices. The sushi ranges from 1.25 to 5 dollars. The first dish I grabbed was $5. It was my first time I didn't know how much it would cost I just was hungry. I liked everything about the place except for the price and the spicey tuna. The waitresses were nice and very helpful. The food is on a conveyor belt, but don't compare this place to Genki or Sushiland. It's not one of those get in and out places. It's more like a mix of Genki and Umi's. A place to sit, relax, and eat with friends even though the food is on the belt. They have lots of sake and sochu. I would give this place a five if the food wasn't so pricey. For two the bill came to $40 and we didn't eat that much either.
(4)Todd F.
Eating at this establishment was the worst sushi experience of my life. Even at the peak of lunch hour both the cold and hot food lines were 2/3 or more empty the entire time. Quality was very spotty. Many of the sushi rolls were warm, the beef yakatori tasted like a charcoal briquette and the spring rolls were oily and undercooked. After not seeing a roll I wanted appear on the line I ordered it from a waitress and 30 minutes later when it still had not arrived I finally paid and left. The staff that were present did not seem to care in the slightest about the lack of quality or my wait for the roll I had ordered. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.
(1)Alice E.
This place is awesome! I love seeing all the sushi rolls going down that conveyor belt. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and are attentive to whatever you need and make sure that your water glasses I filled, I love that! I will continue to go to this restaurant. Recommendations: UW roll, spider roll, cream puffs, oysters
(5)Jules H.
Staff is friendly and hard working. This place has a two layer conveyor belt that rotates - with pretty decent sushi selection on top of other things (e.g. fried calamari, shrimp, mussels, edamame, donkatsu, cream puff, watermelon etc.) You can also order a sashimi plate on the side if you'd like. All dishes there are color coordinated that implicates different price points. The best part about this place is their happy hour deal - all plates are $1.50 during those hours. It's basically the last hour before closing. On Saturdays and Sundays, 3-4pm is applicable to happy hour as well. Dont expect anything fancy. I'd recommend you to check this place out if you're up for affordable sushi.
(4)Inna B.
So... there were maybe ten plates on the conveyor belt when I stopped by, and most of the items were not sushi. They encouraged customers to order from their happy hour plates menu, but it was still weird (and sad) to see such an empty (and yet still running) conveyor belt. The food was... a-ok. I guess. I love sushi and tend to enjoy it frequently, so I've started to get a little picky. The customers near me were very happy and said everything was great, but I was a bit disappointed by the little nigiri and the taste of the fish. Sushi Zone makes me think that downtown Bothell might not be busy enough right now to support the 2-story conveyor belt (or two sushi restaurants).
(3)Esther H.
First time here! Excellent addition to Bothell. The bento boxes were nicely done. All the food is great. Side dishes are done well.
(5)Nate L.
To begin, Wasabi was brownish green. The prices were a bit much for the mediocre sushi. I definitely did not eat $50 worth of sushi.
(2)Joey L.
I was eating here for happy hour, and the food was okay. However, I finished my meal 5 minutes after happy hour was over and they refused to grant me happy hour prices, even though the time had JUST passed. I was so irritated but they didn't care. It's the only sushi belt near my school so I was planning on coming here very often, but not anymore.
(2)Mandie R.
Very pleased! Super attentive service, incredible section. Being allergic to shellfish actually having a ton of options was so exciting. When there was a lack of items I could have on the conveyer, all I had to do was ask. Price was completely reasonable, too. I live about eight minutes away and will absolutely be back!
(5)Mary A.
I love this place. I come here all the time I love the conveyor belt serve yourself style. I hate bugging waitresses when I'm out at dinner. The sushi is always very fresh and amazing. The servings are small so you can try a lot of different things for very cheap. I come here a lot with my vegan friend she always loves it as well. I also come here alone a lot to work or read. The servers are all very friendly. After 9pm is happy hour and everything on the bar is $1.50. They have a brown rice green tea that is very good as well.
(5)Travis M.
Good food and very helpful staff. I love the hot and cold belts running at the same time. They also label everything that's going around so you're never blindly grabbing food.
(4)Abby N.
It's hard to find a decent conveyer belt sushi place, let alone on the east side. This is my favorite place, bar none. The staff are so nice. They clearly are about custom service; when you pick a certain plate they'll be right there giving you the sauce that goes with it. I love the hot and cold belts! I've never seen them before! Now my not-so-adventurous boyfriend won't leave hungry. Yes, sometimes (rarely) the belt can be bare, and half the fun is the hunt, but then you just order. Pretty simple. Can't say enough good things about this place. I would go once a week, wallet permitting.
(5)Jeff S.
If you like conveyor belt sushi that has both hot and cold items this place is for you. They have plenty of variety and then additional stuff that you can order off of the menu. It's a great place for kids too as they can pick and choose what they want to eat.
(4)Brittany L.
I started out really liking Sushi Zone. And don't get me wrong, the double-decker conveyor belt is STILL totally cool, but in recent months, they almost never have what we're looking for sushi-wise up on the belt. So we either wait a long time or we have to order everything that we want. We've gone early, late, weekends, weekdays...and the sushi on the top is still scarce. I don't eat a lot of the crazy filled rolls (not a huge fan of avocado or cream cheese in my sushi) but they always seem to be ready to swooped up. So if you're into that kind of sushi, you might be really happy with the selection that's available. One of my favorites here is the sweet potato roll. It's kind of heavy, but it's so delicious! And the sauce that is drizzled on top is the perfect combination. It's worth at least one try to see if you like it or not!
(3)Kayla T.
Great find in the Bothell area. They have THE BEST happy hour sushi I've ever been to (and no, it's not just the "old" sushi left on the belt for happy hour). The happy hour is the last hour that they're open. The hours change a fair amount during the week so I always check before I go. For the last hour, you can order off they're happy hour menu and each plat is $1.50. The selection is extensive, it's not just simple, basic rolls on the HH menu. Each plate has 3-4 rolls. Sushi zone is one of my favorite places to go when I am wanting a late meal and a variety of sushi.
(4)David H.
I eat here at least twice a week. This is my favorite kaiten in the Puget Sound area. The prices are great for the quality and it is easy to find dishes free of fake crab, mayonnaise, and cream cheese. My favorite thing about this place is that everyone doesn't yell IRASSHAIMASE every time someone comes in the door (that can get very annoying very quickly if you eat sushi a lot).
(5)Andrew R.
The quality of food here is seriously lacking. The sushi is on par or a little worse than what you would get at an all you can eat Asian buffet. That being said, it's very cheap, I had 4 plates and a soda for $11. And the service is friendly. You get what you pay for.
(2)Jessica F.
This place has some decent food but the staff is always rude. They are also super inconsistent about their "happy hour" special. Depending on who is working the deal seems to change. The first couple times they allowed me to choose off the belt and take it to go for the $1.50 special and then the last couple times I have gone they said it has "always" been dine in only. I tried to argue that I had gotten it to go before and that their menu does not specify "dine in only" but they were very rude about it. Will likely not be going back and looking for a new favorite sushi spot.
(2)Liz O.
If you need a quick lunch spot but don't want to take out, Sushi Zone is it. Hot and cold conveyer belts bring you a plethora of sushi options.... not to mention fruit and dessert - which I skipped this round. Pay-by-plate was a new concept for me (I'm foreign to these joints!), but I couldn't complain with a $7 lunch - including green tea. Really good deal here! Not the highest quality sushi but it hits the spot for sure. Now if only I didn't have a group of immature women bouncing on their seat behind me...I could've enjoyed my meal!
(4)Jeff C.
Completely different experience (and prices) than Hana up the street. Interior not bad for a conveyor place but the booth we sat in the upholstery was torn and they had boxes of supplies sitting out. Service was some of the most uneven I've experienced. We felt forgotten several times. Sushi was decent though and good portions at conveyor prices. As a lot of places they are trying to make their money off the "fufu" rolls aimed at the folks that are scared of the pure raw stuff. They had UNI and it was excellent, as good as Hana, but at half the price. For quick and cheap, I'll be back. When I want to splurge and get best quality and better service, I'll go elsewhere. 3 stars but I'm bumping it to 4 because of the value with them having fresh, good Uni at a bargain price.
(4)Anissa O.
We love coming here with our 3 kids because the service is really great! They are always so sweet to our kiddos! The sushi is pretty good too!
(4)Lara B.
Love this place! We came here two days in a row. The service, food, and prices were all excellent. I think we found our new favorite sushi restaurant!
(5)Jack M.
Decent, cheap sushi. Very convenient and the service is great. I would say that their rolls are the way to go, but every thing is pretty good. Not the best sushi, but considering the cost and convenience, this place is hard to beat. I wouldn't take anyone here to impress them, but a nice, relaxed place with good food to have an enjoyable time with family or a friend.
(4)Kailin C.
The belt was very confusing on which plate was what. And all of there plates were very over priced like the Tamago is just egg and sushi wrapped with a little piece of seaweed and that plate was 3.50!!! What a rip off. It's just egg and rice. The sushi was really good though and the service was alright. I don't think I'll come back again until they lower their prices.
(3)Amy S.
We came at 7:30 on a Saturday night and only one other table was there! Several more parties came while we were there though. The sushi seemed relatively fresh however with the exception of one of the rolls from the Hot belt. My favorite was the plain ol' California Toll, which I got 2 of :) The 2 servers were both very friendly and very sweet to our super friendly 14 month old baby. We did find a Val Pak coupon, which is why we decided to try it instead of our otherwise favorite Ikiiki in Kenmore. We'll be back maybe to try lunch which might be busier.
(4)Brian O.
Sushi Zone is a conveyor belt spot with a mix of hot and cold items - a "double belt" of cold sushi items on top, and hot items below. No conveyor belt restaurant will hold up to made-to-order sushi, but as conveyor belt sushi goes this is very good - excellent value, good quality and variety. One of the best places to go in Bothell for a quick reasonably priced meal. The belt has a mix of nigiri and rolls; other than at the peak of happy hour they'll have about a dozen variety of nigiri, ~10 different kinds of rolls, and ~20 hot items that cover what you'd see in a 'bento box' lunch plate plus some dim sum style items. House plum wine and sake are reasonably priced, you can have a dinner for two with drinks here for $30-40 (even cheaper during their happy hours.)
(4)Terry C.
I love Sushi Zone. It is a great place to stop into for a quick bite. When you go here just realize that this isn't a fancy sushi bar. This is conveyor belt sushi. But they do a great job at being what they are supposed to be. I always leave amazed at how many plates I ate and how cheap my bill is! They are pretty good about keeping the belt full and the hot belt is a neat addition. The servers there are always super nice and very attentive. They don't need the silly "help me" lights that you have to use at Blue C and the prices are way better. I just wish they had more vegetarian rolls but I'm probably in the minority there!
(4)Amanda S.
My fiancé and I have been there twice. Once during the regular dinner hours, and once during the lunch special hour. We consumed about the same amount and types of sushi. For the dinner hour bill, it came out to around 40 incl tip & tax. However for the lunch hour, we only had to pay around 15 incl tip & tax. Have I made my point clear? The food is good. It's conveyer belt sushi so it has the normal rolls plus about 10 specialty rolls. The specialty rolls are pretty damn good too. They are not like Sushi Maru where it's California roll + some junk on top. They are thoughtful and tasty without having to be fried or triple coated with some random sauce. The service is pretty bomb and amazing. These girls are watching you and making sure you get what you want. Some sushi or chicken katsu or calamari have extra sauces and by the time you grab the dish off the belt, they are swooping in with the correct sauce. I mean they are really tentative to you. And they are cute and friendly which is a plus. Moar lunches!
(4)Tim H.
Conveyor belt sushi with an interesting addition. My wife and I were in the area and I noticed this joint out of the corner of my eye. Figuring it was a Monday night, nobody would be there and we'd get the best pick off the belt. No surprise when we came in and only saw a couple at a booth. We sat down, ordered some hot tea (I think it was $1.50 per cup), and began looking at the belt. Since dinner was just starting the server informed us it'd be a little while before most of the food came out. Nothing wrong with that, it gave us an explanation and time to read through their menu in case we wanted to order something. After about five to ten minutes, we had already picked up some Philly Rolls, Rainbow Rolls, Spicy Tuna Rolls, and baked mussels. Unlike other places, Sushi Zone has the regular conveyor belt, but below that, there's a second one that's warm for the hot foods to maintain their warm temperatures. That is the interesting addition to me. I'd never seen that before and it makes sense. Other places will put out gyoza, fried calamari, or some other nuggets of deliciousness only to have them cool down by the second turn around the belt and then they just lose all appeal. Sushi Zone's warm belt helps to keep the food warm enough for enjoyment. As far as price is concerned, $3 for three gyoza is a bit much when you can get three for $1 to $2 at some other places. However, the calamari and the rolls were decently priced for their size and quality. Service was very good, the servers were nice, we felt like we didn't have to wait too long for food to show up, and the quality of the food was good too. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area and in the mood for sushi. I wouldn't make a special trip for it, but that doesn't mean it's not a solid conveyor belt sushi joint where you'll enjoy good sushi.
(4)Stella R.
First conveyor belt sushi place I've ever been to, so it was a very interesting experience. The staff was very kind in seating a party of 15, and were quick to take orders for drinks and refills. There was a good selection of food, though some more variety would have been nice. Sushi was at least $3-$5 per plate, though you did get your money's worth. I was able to share food between 4 people for only $30 and everyone was satisfied and came out full! Very good place to swing by if you ever want some good lunch, and very fun to be at in a group of people!

If I hadda brain, I'd be dangerous....If I could remember one effin' thing per day...well, watch out! Which leads me to forgetting time after time to do a review on Sushi Zone. I looooooooove it here! Very attentive staff, very clean....including the restrooms. Hot and cold conveyor belts are kept full with tasty tidbits. Love that roll with the fried calamari (probably called the fried calamari roll, duh on me)...( Found out it's called the Super Duper roll) and the calamari "sticks"...all cooked well, no rubber bands. The Philly roll is at the top of the list as well. Best time to go is during happy hour everything is $1.50, unless they just like me and charge me less. :p I brought my little 3 year old friend Anastasia here and she loved it..."I want more shuzi and wice", she says. The cheese puffs are ok, but the sweet cream cheese buns (hot belt) are "Dy-no-mite", as Jimmy Walker used to say. Hope you like it. P.S. I also discovered the Volcano Roll......it is now my new favorite.

Mediocre sushi and horrible service... The food here is just ok, nothing memorable and some of the sushi tasted like it had sat out for a while. Also, the lower conveyer belt is really dirty to the point where I had to pull it open and leave it open to see the food. The real disappointment is the awful service. As a resident of Bothell, I have come here quite a few times, always with the same results. The waitress is extremely inattentive and poor at explaining the menu. Last time I went with a girlfriend, we went for happy hour, which starts at 9 pm. I grabbed a plate of sushi at 8:58 and when my bill came, the server charged me full price. I asked her about it, and she told me she had "seen me" and that since I had taken a bite of the sushi a minute before 9 o'clock, she wouldn't honor happy hour prices. I asked another waitress about it, and asked if there was anything she could do, but she explained that it wasn't her table, so she didn't have to do anything about it. I left feeling angry and like the servers really didn't care about the customers or their jobs. It wasn't a huge price difference, but her management of the situation was extremely amateur and unprofessional. I will avoid this place in the future and urge other people to do the same.

Never thought I'd find a conveyor belt sushi spot in downtown Bothell! LOL Pros + - no long wait to be seated - friendly staff - reasonably priced/really great happy hour where all sushi is $1.50 - lower level of conveyor belt that has only warm foods (katsu, fried wontons, gyoza, etc) great idea! Cons - - sushi is warm due to the bottom conveyor belt...makes the taste a little blah - small selection and quantities in comparison to other similar restaurants - difficult to place an order...tried to ask the sushi chefs in front of me and they said I had to ask one of the wait staff...the wait staff was super busy so we had to wait a while for him to come around All in all, this is a decent sushi spot! I'd probably hit this place up again for happy hour.

My daughter lives for Inari and Sushi Zone's Inari are her very favorite. I typically like salmon, in just about any form and theirs is dandy. I don't get the big-fancy rolls, but I've enjoyed everything (?) I've ever pulled off the belt. We go so often, they know what we want before we ask for it. The regular wait staff is terrific. Oh, and if you can make it during Happy Hour, you will love the prices (regular prices aren't horrible either). A jewel in the Bothell restaurant crown for sure.

Decent quality at an amazing price. One of the most affordable belt places around and it is clean with friendly service.

Be advised this is a conveyor belt sushi spot. Very limited selection. I've been here three times and have yet experience fresh sushi. They offer both hot (rather luke warm) and cold options. Like many other conveyor belt sushi places they often keep rolls on for far too long.

Best sushi bar ever! Also a great deal and way better than Blue C. Sushi. My favorite sushi rolls to get there are the godzilla roll and dancing beach ball roll. I also love their sesame balls.

The worst service I've ever had. Food is edible, but I've had multiple experiences here that should've made me never return.. But I kept going back because it's near work. And After the last time when the staff gave me Something totally different from what I asked for, and spent the next 20 minutes arguing over a $2 plate of sushi with me, I didn't return. By the way- I'm a food blogger.

One of my favorite sushi places in the great Seattle area. Their sushi is always very fresh, wonderful selection, very convenient two belts - hot and cold plates, great idea. Their Dragon Roll is the best in town! But the best part is the happy hour prices - everything that is on the belt is under $2 per plate. You can always order anything else at the regular price if it is not on the belt, but usually the most popular plates are on the belt. Great place, great service, great value.

I had a late lunch (2 PM). When I go to conveyor belt places I try to pick from the belt and only order what isn't available. There wasn't a lot on the conveyor belt. No spicy tuna. Only one salmon nigiri and only a few other rolls that I like. I get that I went at an off time but the wait staff also didn't notice or come by to see if I needed anything . after barely taking any plates. I eventually flagged someone down. She seemed a little confused about my need for an additional order. I ended up not eating a lot but I was here for a while. I liked that they had a warm food run and a sushi run. It made me feel a bit better about the tempura I had. The sushi itself wasn't bad (which is why this gets 3, not 2 stars). I think this would be different during lunch but they should have better waiter service if they're not going to fill heir conveyor belt.

I will admit I am not the biggest sushi fan, but I do ok with it every once in awhile. One of the reasons why I like this place is the fact that they have a hot and cold conveyor belt. It seems there is something for everyone here... Even the non-sushi lovers. The location is good... we have never had an issue finding parking and I have always found the staff to be very friendly.
