Love this place food is great love the lounge and the spacing. Nice customer service and waitresses attend you in time. Good food on the menu a bit pricey but it's worth it
(5)Dee B.
Good ambiance, service, beverage menu and conveniently located in Barkley Village. It's similar to Cactus Club, Earls or Brown's Social House in British Columbia. The food is average. Nothing spectacular and one might argue, slightly overpriced.
(3)Lorraine F.
The food was overpriced and nothing special.
(2)Scott H.
Love the Kobe burger and the excellent service! Great place to watch the Stanley Cup.
(4)Brad H.
Friendly and quick service. Food quality (grilled chicken burger) was top notch and full of flavor. Location was modern, clean, upbeat and had great prices. A great dining experience and a very quality meal for a fair price. Excited to return again and try the Taco Tuesday special.

The two stars are for our servers because they were nice The food: I had the shrimp and chicken pad thai. Ummm it wasn't that great and certainly not authentic. My meal came some minutes after everyone else's and wasn't very hot. I had a taste of my daughter"s burger and it was under seasoned and just plain boring. I didn't sense that the ingredients were all that fresh. I'm sorry the food would not prompt me to make a second trip.Local patrons might like it but this place is a bummer on my list. I might add that this was my second time visiting here and the first time was a more pleasant experience than the first. Although, it was nothing to rave about.

I really enjoy going to Scotty Brown's for a date night or for drinks. I was turned off at first because they servers wear high heels and short, tight fitting little black mini skirts and look a little too on the sexy side for working there. But, the place is trendy, has a great outdoor patio, and the food and drinks are delicious! But, it is a little on the pricy side. I ordered the Healthy Social Bowl - Potato Crusted Halibut tartar sauce, almond rice, cowgirl salad and a Bellini, and they were so good, I can't wait to come back again! Our server was very nice and let us know all about the Social Hour prices and options.

I've passed this place almost everyday whenever im in town and decided to go there for dinner with some friends. First off, parking can be a bit hard to find just because the eetaurant shres the same parking lot with severak other restaurants and a super market. The entrance to the restaurant is also a bit hard to find depending on where you park. I found myself trying to go through the back door at one point. The inside of the restaurant is set with a modern and contemporary feel. the open bar hosts a great sekection of wines, spirits, and local brewed and domestic beers which is an absolute plus! Known for their burgers, i ordered the angus mushroom burger with house fries and blueberry martini. And as an appetizer, the soy ginger beef. Though the dining area is large, customers can still catch a glimps of the kitchen preparing food orders. My martini arrived accompanied by the ginger beef which was spicy and delicious. The angus burger arrived and was massive, held together by a toothpick and a massive mound of fries. The burger is was cooked well but a bit on the dry side for my taste, no surprise because of its massive size. Overall the restaurant provides a relaxing and business casual atmosphere that is fun accomodating. Wait staff was friendly, quick, and helpful.. for those who've never dined at Scotty Browns before. Food was good, reasonably priced, and came in big portions. For in those in need of good food, good beer, and social ambiance....Scotty Browns is the perfect social house!
(3)Lance P.
Reminds of Earls' or the Keg. Upscale continental food in a nice environment. Service was quick at lunch and the pizza was good. Definitely go there again when in the area.
(4)Sarah F.
Any place that forces it's female employees to wear high heels gets a bad rep from me. Pros? Large menu I've heard the food is good Cons? Weak and expensive drinks Maybe the servers were rude because their feet hurt?
(2)Tatianna G.
The food was fantastic, the drinks were amazing and the while environment was incredible! Seriously love this restaurant! I ordered one of their pizzas and it was delicious!
(5)Terri G.
I come to Scotty Brown's because it's convenient, I like the staff, the specialty drinks are tasty and the service is good. I also like the ambiance, and it has become the gathering place in the new "financial district" of Bellingham.
(5)Brandon B.
Canada can keep this place. This place and the Earls and whatever other crappy Canadian chain restaurants can stay in the great white north.
(1)Neil M.
Good ambience. Clean bathrooms. Fast lunch service. Excellent place to take clients to lunch.

I've been to Scotty Browns many times in the past, this visit occurred on New Year's Eve, just a drop in. Scotty Browns is a classy joint. Nice decor, high end finishes, and classy staff (well dressed and friendly) are all found here. We arrived without a reservation (when we came here 3 years ago on NYE we had no problem getting a very good table) and were asked if we would be done with our meal within 1.75 hours, we said yes and were showed to a table in the bar. When busy, Scotty Browns can very loud, and tonight it was busy and loud! Nearly too loud to have a conversation. Neither me nor my guest could here our waitress. Our server wore the commensurate tight and simple black dress. Don't get me wrong, for guys who visit, this is a positive. The ladies look very good. I ordered a glass of red wine, my guest just had water. A quart milk bottle is provided for easy water refills. I have had the Kobe Burger in the past but tonight I opted for the Hickory burger (smoked beef with bacon and other trimmings). It was a tall burger that probably should be served wrapped...it is a bit of a mess trying to eat. I ordered the Yam fries with my burger but was disappointed. The usually well-cooked fries (crispy but not dry) were undercook and...limp. The dipping sauce is really tasty, so I ate those that were not too raw and skipped the rest. The burger was well prepared, though a bit rare for my taste. It was a healthy serving of beef with 2 well-cooked pieces of bacon. The BBQ sauce and and cheddar cheese combined for some very nice flavor for this burger. My guest had the Pad Thai and said it was pretty good, but not fantastic; certainly not as good as an authentic Thai Restaurant. Scotty Browns is always a good place to go, the food is not he best, but it is good for a fun night out.
(4)Meranda S.
Food was great and the service was top notch! Thank you for a great Sunday afternoon!
(5)Darrel P.
I enjoy drinking and dining here. It can get a bit loud during peak hours but has a nice upscale ambiance. The staff is very courteous and friendly. The food is excellent but a bit pricey!
(4)Benjamin D.
Great atmosphere, fun and friendly employees, and great food. A bit expensive, but a great place to take a date.
(4)Jonas E.
Came to Scotty Browns for dinner because it was convenient at 9pm on a Sunday night and it was essentially across the street from the office we were working out of. It's a nice trendy lounge/restaurant. Decor was nice. The waitress was very nice and attractive. Though the food did take a while to make it to us. I did enjoy a couple of Moscow mules while I waited, but colleagues whining about the wait was irritating. The menu seemed to be all over the place, when I was browsing through I was confused by what was essentially the result of someone not really knowing what kind of food they want to serve. The best description would be to call it a bar menu repurposed for a dinning room. The food was good. The ribs were not bad. I think I would have rather ordered the 10oz filet with Demi glaze. However, of my colleagues who ordered the filet; only one out of four was cooked to order. Rare means red center ( cold center would be better). Having thought it over, maybe I'm glad I didn't get the filet. So, for convenience it's good.
(3)Lisa S.
Hadn't been here for a while. It's pretty obvious they've changed the products and food they use. Everything tasted different than before, cheaper. Before everything tasted homemade with quality ingredients. Now their pizza crust tastes premade, burger patties taste like they are of lesser quality, buns taste cheaper. My Bellini even tasted different. Service was so-so. If I'm going to pay $14 for a burger, it should be 100% ground chuck on a home made bun. I'll try again, just not anytime soon.
(3)Harold L.
First time here and was not disappointed. Great service, great food and ambiance. Waitresses were awesome and the view of the TVs could be seen from every angle including the Men's restroom. Will definitely return as everything on the menu looked great.
(4)Shamara R.
Both times my husband & I have had dinner here, it was deliciously fantastic... We just had to order the filet mignon (med.rare), it came w/amazing & flavorful scalloped potatoes& wanted more : ] , & veggies (broccolini & roasted golden beets), I hate beets but these were roasted to perfection to make ME even like them...very, very, yummy!
(5)Ira P.
Nice place. A bit overpriced though. Can be quite loud. Food is good. Waitstaff is pleasant. Best part of the experience is seeing the lovely young waitresses in those little black dresses.
(4)Tami D.
I've eaten at Scotty Browns a few times and have never been disappointed. I try to avoid chain restuarants as they normally use low quality and bland ingredients. Not so with this Canadian-to-U.S. chain that comes off like a great boutique resturant. They really know how to blend flavors with quality ingredients. I was in the mood for some great tuna and SB didn't disappoint. Nice piece of lightly grilled tuna over a greens with wontons, pickled ginger, finely chopped red pepper, julienne carrots topped with a wonderful vinegarette dressing. The service here is always great. Informative, attentive but not overbearing. My only complaint is the menu is so amazing that I can't decide what to order.
(4)Scarlett M.
I've eaten here a couple of times now, and it is a really hard place to review. On the one hand, the food is pretty decent, if not a bit spendy. The menu items are kind of strange for the sake of being strange (Why the odd combo of sushi, pizza, and burgers?) but good. On the other hand, there is something so creepy, corporate, and forced about this restaurant's image (check their website if you don't believe me). It's like its entire reason for existing is so that people in "business" who carry briefcases will have a place to have cocktails and slightly pretentious but accessible food after work while talking about nothing meaningful but laughing heartily anyway since that's what the boss is doing. As the evening progresses, they get more and more drunk, and eventually the night ends in a distasteful daiquiri-driven Bacchinalia of potbellied business men hitting on middle management divorcées in Jones NY suits and cheap shoes while some retro Bon Jovi song plays overhead. The next morning's walk of shame past the water cooler is a long one, but our intrepid corporate warriors live to fight another day. But yeah, the pizza is pretty good. Note for Disabled: Reasonably accessible, has its own parking lot.
(4)Steve A.
Blackened halibut burger! Amazing. This place is great. It's hard to get my girlfriend to go but the food is great. Beer list is standard with a couple key pleasers to excite your thirst. Dude! The bathrooms are awesome. I know it's crazy but don't leave with out visiting them at least once. This place is pretty comfortable too. Management is good. They are on point and keep a nice flow going. Kitchen looks clean at a glance. Servers can be flakey occasionally and there is or was a not so pleasant bar tender but this place is worth frequenting. The majority of the visits have been great service and that's what we think of this place. Kinda cute too
(4)Marissa H.
It's a nice spot to get a drink at, and the service is pretty great. It's fairly pricey, however, and the food is far less than spectacular. As long as you go here just for a drink, and maybe even an appetizer or something, it can be a really good experience and totally worth it. Just don't expect the meals to be as fancy as the decor, even if the prices imply they should be.
(3)Michael D.
Consistent! Delicious! Fun Bar.
(4)Keenan H.
Excellent food, fun atmosphere, clean and consistent. Great place to take friends or visitors. Not a good place for important conversations (loud).
(4)Amy Z.
Disgusting. You really want to like this place from the decor but my last two dining experiences have been poor at best. My husband and I came here the second time only because we had a gift card, and I don't think we will be back. The decor is lovely and the service is great, but that does not make up for dismal food. A $17 Kobe burger is outrageous, I have a hard time believing they use true Kobe or Wagyu beef, my assumption is they just ground more fat into the mix, that is if they grind their own meats. My husband enjoyed it for the most part, but when he thought of the $17 price tag he just wasn't as thrilled. The fries are ok, nothing special. They try to make the plating upscale, but it just feels too trendy. The fish tacos are where things really REALLY went down hill. Ordered two or three fish tacos. Store bought flour tortillas, which were too thick, bland, and raw tasting, held too much cabbage and the most measly pieces of fish I've ever seen. I should have taken a picture because they were seriously no bigger than my index finger, and I have pretty petit hands. I was appalled. And the flavor wasn't any better. When the fish is that small all you get is breading, which you think wouldn't be bad unless the fish isn't fresh at all. The fishy flavor was overwhelming. Thankfully the tortilla and cabbage was plentiful enough to hide the flavor. It was an awful dinner and I have no idea why people speak so highly of this place. They really need to revamp their menu and have more quality control in the kitchen.
(2)Michelle C.
Love the atmosphere and the decor. Excellent halibut fish and chips and even loved the almost famous fried egg sandwich.
(5)russell m.
Pretty good, fun place to eat. On their yelp profile it states that their not a good spot for families .....not true...I'd have that fixed.
(4)Keith B.
Today came to watch the Seahawks play. Sat at bar, food OK but the service was horrible. At one point I waited probably 45 minutes and finally flagged someone down for a drink. It was that way all afternoon, practically begging to be served. And it was not that busy. Very disappointing as I generally like this place.
(2)Allen S.
I visited Scotty Browns for the first time this past week. I had lunch with a business associate and really enjoyed being there. It seems like the "go-to" place for upscale business lunches, and is close to my office. I can't wait to go there for happy hour ! ! !
(4)Melissa P.
I love Scotty Browns. It is one of the few places in Bellingham with good food, not to mention a little CLASS. I can't believe the reviewers who have complained about the lack of vegan-friendly or gluten-free options - go somewhere else!! Bellingham is full of those types of places. Scotty Browns caters to a different set, for which I am grateful. We frequent the place most Friday evenings for Happy Hour and have dinner as well. They definitely have the best yam fries in town and their General Tso's chicken is absolutely delicioso!!
(5)Robert H.
Scotty Browns is a modern establishment with a Vegas upscale sports-bar feel...waitresses all in skimpy clothing included. The food is astronomically overpriced particularly for its gastronomical mediocrity, $12-17 for a medium sized burger, $17 salads and $30 bar steaks. Everything we ordered was decent and the pasta was even plated well, but the fries were nothing too special and the overall food quality was generic chain-worthy. Now their drinks on the other hand are awesome, their bartenders have put together some delicious drinks for the menu and they are priced reasonably for industry standard ($7-12) with selection running from Mojotos, Bilinis and Blueberry vodka lemonade. If you're in the area for a drink, good little spot to hit, food-wise: find somewhere else.
(2)Trevor A.
Not into this place. It's dark. The food seems like it was previously frozen. Not my cup of tea.
(2)Rodlyn K.
Went here for dinner with my husband. The ambiance is nice however front of house staff seemed uncomfortable as several walked by pulling their skirts down often. The waitress asked us if we were ready to order we said yes and then she walked away and didnt return until 5 min later. Maybe she misunderstood us? We ordered their specialty dinner item Kobe beef burgers. The quality and taste of the beef was superb however the quality of the other ingredients not so much. Why a restaurant would pair a higher end item like kobe beef with iceberg lettuce and pickle relish?? The pcike relish threw the flavor balance off. I can see it on a regular burger maybe but with kobe beef? maybe im just strange but if you are going to pay more for gourmet meat maybe the other ingredients should match.... how much would romaine lettuce really cost. That being said, the price of the meal did not translate to their food. The homemade fries and calamari were yummy and executive well... but this is expected as its not difficult to do with a commercial kitchen.
(3)Arthur S.
Very nice place. The food is decent and really the only part they miss is a small thing called service. This is a hit and miss but the best time to go there is early for Happy Hour. This is place is like going to an Abercrombie store and getting the same attitude while you are eating.

Was here in July 2012- Went here a week after eating at Bayou on the Bay for my birthday which was disappointing to say the least. Thought I would find some gluten-free options since they had "street-tacos" on the menu and touted their staff as knowledgeable of gluten allergies. I also thought this would make up for the crappy experience i had the week before on my bday. But it didn't, Bellingham eats are just starting to become one big disappointment after another since I've been forced to switch to a gluten free diet. So I asked the server, who was very kind, what I could eat because most of the items appeared to have miso or soy in them (which contains gluten). I also don't eat pork or beef (for a long time) and that's not an option for me. She said that their hostess was gluten free and knew a lot so she came over to help me narrow down my options. But when she arrived she asked if I was celiac, which I am not, but either way I cannot eat gluten. Then she proceeded to tell me that I could eat the salad with the miso in it, and I said no I can't because I can't eat miso and she said "oh well it doesn't bother me and the kitchen staff told me there's no gluten in it" she also told me that i could eat the fries, to which I asked "do they fry them in the same fryer as the battered things because that is cross contamination (this is very well known) and I cannot eat them" and she acted surprised and said they were fried in the same oil but that it was OK for me to eat them, which is not true. She then said the rice bowls would be an option but that the rice has a tiny amount of gluten in it, which doesn't make any sense to me because rice is usually ok to eat. Needless to say I was very frustrated when she left, she was kind but completely useless for figuring out what I could and could not eat here. Also I would like to mention that a couple days before we came to eat here I sent them an email to ask if they had corn tortillas for their tacos and if there were any gluten free menus available to which I got absolutely no reply to this day. I also am pretty sure I started getting more junk mail after I sent them an email. The fact is, they use flour tortillas for their "street tacos" which is totally absurd, I've never even heard of street tacos with flour tortillas. So tacos were not an option either. The server said I could order them but they would be served on top of rice, so they wouldn't be tacos. But this seems silly to me that they just don't have corn tortillas as an option. I ordered the potato crusted halibut, which I was told had no flour in it, and the cowboy salad which looked like it didn't have miso in the dressing. I definitely had a reaction the next day and I am not even that sensitive. Besides that I had the blueberry lemonade which was recommended by the server, and it was OK but tastes like a liquid gummy bear, We are done eating at this place, the prices do not coincide with the lack of knowledge or ability to accommodate small dietary allergies that shouldn't be that big of a deal for a restaurant like this to handle. I am disappointed to say the least and next year I will not bother going out to eat anywhere on my birthday (which all I usually do to celebrate since we cannot afford anything else). I would also like to clarify to other reviewers, the vibe here is not Seattle, it is Vancouver because this chain is from Canada. They likely attract Canadian tourists.
(2)Ceci C.
What a fun place! Love the decor and the food was good. The front hostess was very accomedating and friendly. My only complant was the bar attendent did not aknowedge us for sometime and we were sitting at the bar.
(4)Chad H.
Food is good. Drinks are good. Ambiance is good. The reason this is 4 star is Bridgette! A server with attitude. Ask for her section (it will be in the bar area) and be ready for a night filled with sarcastic entertainment!
(4)Frank C.
My friend and I went here this past Sunday for happy hour. It was our first time. Both the food server (don't know his name) and the waitress (Brittney) were super nice! Everything was tasty and we had a great time. We will definitely be back!
(5)Brad E.
I knew it....I knew a lot of women would hate this place and give it mediocre ratings. It's no surprise. When you go to Scotty's you will come away remembering one thing above all else....those waitresses are stone foxes. I dont mean cute or pretty...they are foxes. That being said, it's a good restaurant. I had a salad with seared ahi. The ahi was fresh and cooked perfectly. Everything we had at our table was good. Some--mostly insecure women--won't be able to handle the level of talent at Scotty Browns. If you're bringing a wife or girl friend, proceed at your own risk.
(4)Jessica R.
Im in love with the cowboy salad and the coral crush. Very yummy. The atmosphere is trendy and I have a friend who thinks the bathrooms are awesome bc you just look good in there... Lighting maybe? Portions are smaller sized but the food is always good and I don't like over eating anyways.
(5)Lori R.
Great upscale restaurant & bar, makes for a really fun night out or drinks & appy's on the patio after work. My favorite at lunch is the Ahi Tuna Salad...seared rare ahi is the best if you like that. We just went there for brunch on Saturday (yup, they are open weekends at 10:00 am!) and it was awesome. I had the eggs Benedict & my friend had corned beef hash & a Bloody Caesar (hair of the dog mind you) & we loved it. At 11:30 on a weekend you pretty much have the place to yourself & with all the big screen TV's going he got his sport fix too. Our wait staff was awesome...all in all, a great experience!
(5)L A.
The atmosphere was absolutely amazing (but then again I'd spent a week in Bellingham so I'm sure anything would have tickled my fancy.) Co workers and I were in Bellingham on business and ate here for lunch. It was so nice (again in comparison to everything else in the town) that we went back for dinner that evening. I had the Phatty Melt for lunch and it was sodamngood. The bellinis were great as well. For dinner we had two platters of hot wings.... not because we're greedy but because they were quite small. My entree was the baby back ribs and I barely touched them. The bar b que sauce was disgusting but the meat was nice and tender. I also had the Coral Crush and I didn't particularly care for it. It wasn't "nasty" it was just TOO sour/tart. We ordered a round of the shots (the funfetti and cheesecake ones) and they were great as well. It's more of a lounge/bar atmosphere that's nice and trendy.
(3)Michael D.
A welcome respite from the mutitude of eco-hipster dens in B'Ham. Sitting out on the balcony in summer is great. For all the people bitching about Canadians why did it take them to make one of the only decent bars in town? Dreads and patchouli oil will be out of their comfort zone here - thankfully. The food and drinks are usually excellent and there is eye candy for both sides of the aisle.
(4)Julie C.
Great happy hour. We've been happy with a wide range of their menu items (salads, burgers, definitely the fries!) It's a sports bar without being divey and annoying. We love the atmosphere in the bar and on the deck.
(5)C Y.
Scotty Browns is part of a chain of slick, polished restaurants from Canada. The restaurants are all attractive as is their waitstaff and formula for success. That said, I've always enjoyed their food and service. It's not a foodie destination but a great place for a tasty lunch or night out dinner. I haven't been to the bar at Scotty Browns at night but if it is like their sister places, I'd imagine it's pretty active.
(3)C L.
Recently went back after a hiatus due to a limited menu. Menu appears to have expanded. Had the hot wings and pad thai. Very tasty stuff. Went during the slow hours cuz that's when we were hungry and the service was decent.
(4)erin p.
My parents took me to Scottys for my birthday dinner this year and the food was horrible. I was disappointed to find out that they had taken my favorite wings off of the menu and replaced them with "franks spicy wings". There was 6 of us and only one person liked their food (not sure if it counts though because he was pretty drunk). The waitress was nice, but a little overly flirtatious with my brother and boyfriend. The drinks tasted like they were watered down. I would say the only plus to this place now that the food sucks is the atmosphere. It is very well decorated and is very nice on the eyes. I will not return to Scotty browns for any meal.
(2)Warren D.
Can get the same quality food at large chain restaurants for half the price. Drinks are notable though.
(3)Lena V.
My family and I went for dinner on December 26th. I ordered the Kolby beef burger off of the special entries menu which noted that it would be medium rare. When my burger arrived it was way over cooked and dry! The waitress was really sweet about returning it to the kitchen for a medium rare cooked burger. When the second one arrived it looked much juicer from the outside but when I bit into it the burger still looked like ground beef!! The waitress said they can try again but by that time I was too frustrated and did not care to wait for a third burger.
(1)Jessica M.
Yum and yum. Love the high tables in the bar and the great martini names! I personally love the Ella Driver which is no longer listed but still available. Great place to visit on a Friday or Saturday before a night on the town but does get busy! The outdoor seating is great when the weather permits - love the comfy chairs! My favs on the menu: Yam Fries, Dragon Bowl (I drive up from Seattle for this!), Wicked Mushrooms, Cowgirl Salad (huge!). I think part of the draw for this restaurant was this it makes you feel like you're in the city - you get to dress up a little, have a martini, and pretend like you've escaped Hippy-town USA for a bit! Random observations: LOVE the canvas hanging in the bar that reads " She was high society in a low Hollywood Dive." I'm not sure what it is but check it out! Also...interesting bathroom stalls! Check 'em out.
(4)Julia H.
Went there with my boyfriend last night, we really enjoy the atmosphere and meals we order! One part we didn't like it is Restaurant were closing very early. I understand that Bellingham is not a big city but we would love to enjoy our drinks and stay longer there. Service was good, will be back for sure.
(4)J. M.
LOVE this place. Kind of pretentious, but that's fine. The staff is friendly enough. I've had almost everything on this menu (minus the pizza) and I've yet to have anything bad. Favorites: Dragon Bowl, Pad Thai, Wicked Mushrooms, Yam Fries (and I'm not a fan of yam fries). Waitresses are dressed in unnecessarily tight and some times small clothing, but it's not too bad and easy to look past..unless you go with skanky men, of course. And the silverware is oddly heavy, but usable.
(5)Terri A.
Nice atmosphere, but sad customer service. My husband ordered the rack of ribs for our Valentine's day lunch. When it arrived, it had an unwanted object clinging to the sauce (an object resembling a hair or salmon fish bone). We handed it to the waitress, who then got the manager. The manager came over to our table, gave his condolences, and then offered a re-fire of the ribs (this is during our work lunch hour and time limits apply). He notified us that it was "just a bristle of the brush they use to brush the sauce on)...no biggie right? LOL...then fired another set of ribs for us promising it would only be about 5 min. Much later than 5 min and most of my meal gone, his arrives. Check time: No discount, not even a comp on drinks for our inconvenience, but a bit of insult to injury...charged us 50 cents for a tiny plastic cup of tartar sauce with our fries. Seriously? I'm going to have to vote NO....maybe happy hour, but bring your piggy banks, cuz this place is seriously over priced and over rated.
(2)Nikki B.
The location is a bit of a bust - but I guess they're catering to a crowd that does not include college students. ;) I've only been there for Happy Hour, but I will update this the next time I go since I will hopefully have an actual meal there. My friends and I each had a bellini and shared a dessert sampler. It was all incredibly delicious (and dangerous because I really could have had more with no problem!) The waitresses reminded me of a classy Hooters in that they were pretty (bordering on flirtatious, which doesn't work with straight girls too much), but they were very friendly and helpful. I didn't see anyone trashy, save the few prowling cougar patrons we noticed in the early evening hours. All in all, I had a great time and will be back soon!
(4)James B.
Been here a few times. The food is nothing to write home about. The really disappointing thing is how I tried twice in one day to make reservations for my daughters 17th birthday. They had told me both times that there were tables available until they found out that the party was 17 and 18 year olds and then suddenly they didn't have room. These guys think that they are way to cool for their britches. They are located in a snooty little urban village and their attitude fits right in. Sorry Scooty Browns, but you suck. Go back to where you came from.
(1)Dee Dee O.
Elegant atmosphere, great menu, excellent service. Scotty's has it all.
(5)Sanford O.
Very chic, trendy atmosphere. Very good food and service. But, pricy at dinner (much better at lunch and for happy hour). Drinks are especially pricy. Its the kind of place to impress a date or a business associate.
(4)Rebecca L.
Really good food, great drinks, fancy sports bar atmosphere.

Love the Cowgirl salad and I almost always have to have a Bellini when I'm there!

Surprise surprise! Awesome french onion soup and the tandouri pizza was great too. The BF had the chicken and dumpling soup which was great as well. Unexpectedly delicous!

I have been a few times before and although I love their bellini, atmosphere and decor I thought the food to be a little lacking. My.opinion is now changed! I went last night with my sister her husband and my boyfriend. We arrived at 730 and got seated right away on the patio! We had a blast, great service and the food has defiantly improved. I had eaten a late lunch so I just ordered a dynamite roll and yam fries (Yum!)my sister ordered the Columbia river salmon with veggies and a medditarian compote (it was more like a relish) but it was fantastic! Cooked to perfection, veggies al dente, perfectly seasoned! (And Did I mention I don't like salmon?) Our dates both had the "phatty" melt... delicious but defiantly phattening! This place is pricey but for a special night out, it was worth it!

Well, this place has become a habit for me. Lunch, dinner, drinks and more. The staff is great, combined with excellent food and drinks makes this a regular stop for me and my friends.

If you go, you have to get the fries and aioli sauce... To die for. I'm addicted. I substitute the yam fries for real fries and get this as my entrée. Sooo good! Great atmosphere for happy hour and in the summer.

Apple-bees for the 21st century. Food is nothing special, yet overpriced, the waitstaff is pleasant but cringingly obsequious, located in a glorified strip mall. It reminds me of someones idea of what an upscale yuppie restaurant should be like who didn't quite know how to put it together. Bellingham is well known as the Sahara of the culinary arts, but I still think I'll probably not be back.

I was really impressed with the food here. The atmosphere was really hip and lively and there were a lot of young, good looking people there. The ahi salad is amazing and so is the cowgirl salad with the spicy tuna roll. If I'm ever in B'ham again, I will definitely visit this place.

Stopped in for happy hour (3-6) decent drinks, not too great of a happy hour. Not bad tho. Had a greyhound (fresh pressed grapefruit) and the spicy chicken club. The sandwhich was very good!

My girlfriends and I got dolled up and headed over to Scotty Browns opening weekend. We ended up having dinner elsewhere because the wait was over an hour and a half for a seat. After dinner we headed back over to see if we could get a table and share some dessert, which proved to be easy peasy (no wait). Their dessert list is lacking substantially, only four options one of which is chocolate ice cream. What is with that? Besides that the options were; tiramisu, key lime and chocolate pecan pie. All of which were only ok (they have a trio plate with small samples of everything but ice cream for $9, perfect for three girls to share). I really liked the tiramisu until I found a chunk of something that resembled a plastic blob. Clearly not to be digested. I'm not going to lie, I really didn't like that. And when I brought it to the waitresses attention she looked surprised but really didn't seem to care all that much. The reason I gave it three stars (gelatinous blobs in ones food don't generally warrant high marks) is because I'm really looking forward to going back and trying their food and a cocktail. Their focus is clearly on cocktails, and all of those options are definitely drool worthy. Plus, the decor is tres chic. Wonderful use of texture and color. I was giddy just to be inside. Simply stunning! Bellingham was in dire need of a place like this. It makes me yearn for big city night life. I'll update my review upon consumption of "real food" (pulled pork nachos perhaps?) and a martini. . . if it's anything like the decor I have a feeling it will garner a higher rating. A great place to get together with the girls!

I suggested Scotty Brown's a a venue for a holiday party for local entrepreneurs. We were there this week. Our waiter, Brandon, was fantastic. The food was very good, ambience is more like a bar- we had a group bigger than the section we were in so was hard to hear everyone - but not SB's fault. Music was too loud - but again, this was more of a business thing and not surprised. Everyone in our group that I talked to really liked the food - which just made for a better event!

I went to scotty B's on my lunch the other day with some girlfriends. The place looks alot nicer inside then from the outside. Lots of big screens and fancy tables. I got the tuna with rice and veggies, which was pretty expensive and small, but was awesome.. The others got pad thai and some chicken thingy (I can't remember, I was too busy stuffing my face)..they didnt like theirs as much. Their menu is a little limited, and with the girls dressing kind of....skanky..kind of reminded me of hooters? All and all, it's a place worth checking out. I will go there again. But wont be my local hang out. ..but I have a feeling 40 &50 year olds will, due to the tightly dressed girls.

Great place to grab lunch or grab a beer and catch the game on TV. They try a little too hard to feel like Bellevue (I feel bad for the waitresses for how they make them dress). The menu is hit or miss, but there are some good things on there, but the pizza and Thai food are not among them.

Tacky. Annoying music and plastic people. Felt like Las Vegas threw up and splattered on Bellingham. My friend and I spent more than $50 on drinks and left undrunk.

We went here because we heard it was vegan-friendly, which means, they actually have tofu as an option instead of chicken for some of their salad and pasta entrees. Although, the tofu add-on cots $4, you get a good amount of tofu- 4 large triangles in the salad. I had the Cowboy/girl salad, but neither of the dressings were vegan (both had honey, even the one that didn't have honey in the name or description). They brought me out an Asian sesame dressing and the tofu came on the side with the ginger marinade so both together made for a great Asian-fusion flavor, which fits into their theme, after all. For all of the toppings included in the salad, I was expecting a macho salad fit for an appetite for well, a Cowboy/girl, and it wasn't. It was an average sized salad but not one that would make you go over your calorie count for the day, which is the point of eating a salad in the first place. My husband was able to get tofu in his pasta dish and they were even able to make it without the cream in the tomato sauce. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and what they could do in the kitchen and if she checked in the kitchen if there was something she didn't know. There were not too many choices but we were excited to see tofu on the menu. The tofu was extra-firm and lightly fried.

One word: WEAK. Scotty Browns is a weak attempt to clone a big city martini bar, but fails miserably. The drinks are weak, the food is average and the prices are retarded. I'm not sure why people in this town rave about Scotty B's. Maybe they've never been to an actual martini bar in a big city, and have nothing to compare to? Who knows. Anyhoo...Scotty B's would never last in a big city, because there are dozens of better martini bars in any given big city. But, I guess, since there isn't much else to here in this small town, people settle for this place. The broads that work there are decent, but nothing more than a real-world 7. But, of course, that's a Bham 12, so everyone hoses their shorts over them. Whatever...

I agree that it is about time we have a modern place to go in Bellingham, but there is a fine line between trendy and trashy, which I'm not sure Scotty Brown's has discovered yet. The waitresses are all very attractive, and nevermind the obvious discriminatory hiring practices, they just look uncomfortable! Their choices of shoes makes any woman cringe, especially when thinking about walking around for many hours, not to mention the obvious danger (I'm sure they're not nonslip!), and they have obviously increased the demand for revealing black attire at Bellis Fair. On the two occasions I have been there the service has been average, the food odd (where is the cohesiveness in the menu? Pad thai, rice bowls, burgers, pizza, and Chicken Parmesan--if you do it all, how can you do any of it really well?) The prices are fair, the wine list is decent, and the decor is top-notch. I probably won't go back very often, but I sure do hope they at least start regulating the shoe wear, the waitresses obvious discomfort and the safety factor, not to mention how the heels rock the wood floor, will hopefully inspire a change!
