The ol' Ninety-Nine chain. For the most part, they are usually pretty good - though no better than any other chain restaurant. Maybe with less flair... This is actually the 2nd time I've been to this one in Rutland and each time I sat at the bar. The same bartender served me each time - he must have worked here for a long time. Very nice guy. So the 3 stars are for the ribs. They sucked, and sucked hard. Meat was overcooked, bad rub, bad sauce. But the beer was cold.

Went to grab dinner during a football game. Sat at the bar and was served by the best bartender/waiter ever, Robert! Satellite went out because of snow, but other than that, yummy apps, good drinks & great service.

Been here a few times with family and it was always fine but unremarkable. Today was one of the most unprofessional restaurant experiences I've had. We had a large party of ten but we're only assigned one server, who was extremely unorganized and not very friendly. The drinks were subpar, the lemonade is not fresh but from the fountain and none of the sodas were mixed correctly. We waited about 45 minutes for our server to take our orders and then almost another hour for the food to come out, at which point it was lukewarm but all tasted fine. One order included a coupon, which the server applied incorrectly; when someone asked about it she snapped at them rudely. We were given a discount on one order for the inconvenience, but as we left we walked past our server LOUDLY complaining to a manager about our party; she didn't even quiet down when we walked past her and the manager looked directly at us and did not correct the server. Extremely unprofessional and rude. Very disappointed.

I have visited this 99 quite a few times. I like going here because the food is always great and the price is always greasy! However, the last time I went, I was included in a party of 13. We all showed up by 5:30pm, but had to wait and wait and wait and wait. It was OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF before we were finally seated! But.... They made it up to us by allowing us to order a few appetizers on-the-house. Thank you Lisa for your great service!

Meh. Sat at the bar, crappy service there. Food was mediocre at best. You may not believe this but I left for the, um, comforts of a Holiday Inn hotel bar.....ant it was an improvement. Wierd.

I ended up here because I could literally walk here from my hotel. Same food as every other 99. What I like about this one over other locations I've been to is the staff. They are super nice and friendly to the customers. So the service was top notch especially in the bar area. They also had some local beer on tap which was nice.

I've eaten at one other 99 and thought it was okay plus. In Rutland, it was similar, however, the staff I encountered seemed to be on niceness steroids. I ate at the bar, Robert is the bartender, asks your name, and is chummy. It was apparent he had repeat fans the week end day I was there. Too, upon entering, the corporate trained greeters were VERY friendly. What I had was good, not spectacular, but absolutely no complaints whatever. I got what I wanted, had it served enthusiastically, and was most pleased with the price. The drink Robert made was a positive pour. I was grateful for my stopover.

A New England regional chain Ninety-Nine offers reasonable prices with full table service. Menu I guess could be described as "comfort" food, with burgers, sandwiches, a couple of pasta dishes, fish and chips, etc. Most items cost less than $10 to $12 or so. Has a full bar area and you may eat at the bar. Better than fast food but not fine dining, kind of like diner food. Service is usually good and is open until about 10 PM most nights which is a plus. Popular with families early in the evening.
