Whoa, don't judge this restaurant by its outside! In fact I'm not sure I found any signage at all indicating it was intact a restaurant. But what lies inside of 205 Saint Paul Street was a a total treat. The openness and exposed wood of the cozy interior was perfectly swanky. Chalkboard menus with gastopub fare and microbrews on tap were a pleasant touch. A friend and I went on a Wednesday evening after work and were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant wasn't crowded. I'm not sure what the capacity is, though I would say it's definitely on the smaller side. We were greeted by the only waitstaff that evening but she was extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Food took a little while to appear after ordering so patience will be key -- and well worth it, I say. I got the half pound burger with blue cheese and truffle fries; and man, if you're craving a burger like I was, this is the thing to order. My friend ordered the BBQ sliders which were equally delicious. I can't believe it's taken me this long to try them out since I'm thinking this might be my new go to spot. Looking forward to more!

I have only been to St. Paul Street Gastro Grub once during restaurant week, but based on that experience I would definitely go again. I ordered the prix-fixe menu option. It included deviled eggs, a burger and fries, and a Switchback Citra Pils all for $20. The deviled eggs were very good and the burger and fries were pretty solid. I would rank the burger slightly above what you would expect to get a place like The Scuffer, but maybe not quite as good as one from the original Bluebird Tavern (when it first opened). The portions were appropriate and the food was served quick. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was great. No where else in Burlington have I heard so much Jackson 5 played at restaurant. Overall, if you are looking for a low-key restaurant (but in no way a dive-bar) where you can sit at the bar and order some really solid, reasonably priced upscale pub-food then St. Paul Street Gastro Grub is a great option.

Great American pub grub. So you ask what was an old couple doing in this hang out of the very young. Well it was that Localvore coupon, without which we would not have even gone near the place. Young people come and go some were eating a bite before going to the Flynn to hear an 80s rock band. We happen to have arrived when 3 seats at the rustic bar were empty, the wait person, a very cheerful young lady told us to grab them. In a few minute's a young man came and took the seat next to us had what looked like a shot and left. The menu is limited , on a board on the wall, we ordered a variety of their dishes, all to be had picnic style, a very nice a aragula salad with goat cheese ,walnuts and a sliver of pear (they should have left it out)! Two corn dogs freshly coated in a thin coating (very good dogs not salty or strong), wings, my husband raved and their French fries , so good that is what I will have next time covered with truffle oil and Parmasan cheese. Washed down with Citizens cider and Zero Gravity beer. Food was plentiful and reasonable . Before we left several preppy men came in with their not so preppy significant others. They sort of looked around as if they were lost but I think they stayed at least I hope so .

Not a bad place at all to stop in and dine when you are passing through town. I had the burger and truffle fries, which was fine. But, among the other options in this unusual gastropub are lobster rolls, fish tacos, port sliders, tofu tacos, and tuna tartare, as well as distinct and rare beers and wines. Seemingly upscale on the menu, it's actually just fancy casual (I even saw people with sweatpants on being served while I was here). The barmaiden, who was also waitress, could be friendlier, but in all honesty, she was very enthralled with the customers she had sitting at her bar. Overall, good food, pleasant atmosphere, decent staff.

This isn't as thorough a review as I would normally write since I only ordered take out (a hamburger) from here last night and didn't go in or look at the menu. I will need to pay a proper visit soon and then write a proper review. The pros: - Easy to order on phone for take out - Helpful, friendly staff brought my burger outside to me because I had my dog with me - In a great location for people who live in that area which is very underserved by eateries. - I LOVED THE FRENCH FRIES. I think they were fried in olive oil? Regardless, I really loved the flavor (and I'm not usually into fries). - The sauce that came with my burger (maybe just a mix of mayo and catsup but not sure) was sooooo good. I needed another container of it. - The hamburger was a double paddy with cheese. More meat than I expected and for only $10 total that seemed like a very good deal. The only possible con: - hamburger was way overdone for my taste. to be fair they never asked me how I like it cooked so I can't blame anyone. But I would have preferred less well done. I'm looking forward to giving a proper visit and I'm very happy with the idea of having a little pub in the neighborhood. I'm wishing these folks the best of luck!

While it is a limited food menu, what we ordered was quite tasty! The hand dipped corn dog was delicious with a light and crispy coating, the fried Brie was excellent (though could use a few more crostini) and the burger was good. The medium wings had a nice heat and the truffle fries were yummy. It's a small place with fast and friendly service and I would visit again when in town just for another corn dog!

Stopped by this past Saturday night and had a great experience. The bar is small, nicely decorated, and welcoming. Our bartender was attentive and answered all of our questions. I liked the small menu which had a good variety. The Parmesan truffle fries were amazing. The fish tacos and pork sliders were tasty too. We will visit again!
