The food was ok, the service was so so slow. I probably would not go back.

We keep coming back to this place mainly for the Crème brûlée and Crème brûlée cakes (yes cakes made out of Crème brûlées!). But we've had many a great time having breakfast there as well. We bought our child's birthday party cake from there (Crème brûlée of course) and it was delicious ... too delicious as our guests asked us for take-homes before they left leaving none for me after :D

The desserts! Just walk in and the case is calling you over. I have to force myself back to the host stand, but having made eye contact with the dessert case allows me to order responsibly to leave room for dessert. They do a great job at breakfast and lunch. I've enjoyed their sandwiches and their popovers stuffed with eggs or smoked salmon. Biscuit was a tad dry. I have to admit most of it has been overshadowed by their desserts. I can most clearly recall the excellent eclairs with a delectable dark chocolate shell and perfect consistency of the custard inside. Their black and white chocolate espresso cake is moist, rich, and just the right balance of each flavor. The chocolate salted caramel macaron has a gooey dark caramel center. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Burlington for lunch and my favorite dessert shop.

Since I began living in Vermont, I have always loved exploring the different quaint spots around Burlington. I am use to little cafes around every corner serving pastries and breakfast treats back where I use to live. Mirabelles is plopped on Main Street and the only reason I stopped by was because of the sign outside. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is a wide selection of little pastries, macarons, and basically a heaven for that sweet tooth. Although the staff were very attentive, today they seemed a bit off. On the right side of Mirabelles is a small sit down area, which I avoided. Everyone was a bit scatterbrained and it was hard to quickly grab a pastry or two and leave. The staff were lovely, but I wish they wore gloves or actually used some utensil to grab the pastries as opposed to using their hands. Maybe I am prissy about it, but hey, I've been to a lot of cafes and that was a little unprofessional. Besides that, I would definitely stop by again to grab a macaron as opposed to making that drive all the way to Quebec City. When I got home, I greedily wolfed down my treats. Curious to try their other goodies.

Delicious and wide variety of desserts. I love the macarons! Bakery with a lunch menu and seating area. Try the desserts and hash browns, which are the crispiest hash browns I've had around. I love having lunch and a small dessert here, but it's also great to pop in when you're on the go for the delicious fresh bakery items. Best French bakery the Burlington area has! Highly recommend it.
(4)A L.
We loved the food here, the whole grain blueberry pancakes, the egg biscuit, the lattes. Was crowded, and service at first was spotty, but the picked it up and we loved it.
(5)Laura S.
So good!!! The frittata was AMAZING and they subbed a salad for the hash browns for me. Baked goods look incredible. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
(5)Michael B.
Went for breakfast on a Sunday. Staff is friendly and helpful. But the food came out extremely slowly. Also while the food was fine, it was overpriced. $10 - $12 for eggs is a bit steep.
(2)Karen Y.
I think the bakers should wear hairnets because I found a long piece of hair in my Mexican wedding cookies, and dirty blonde who I talked to was very rude about it. It's not my fault that a long piece of of brown hair was inside of the cookie....
(2)Dee H.
Breakfast there was sweet and delightful, because of decor, super companion, taste and presentation of the food, and attentive service. Oh yes, and arriving just after 9 on a Saturday morning and being seated within minutes. What a pleasant way to get a day started.
(5)Delilah R.
I get my birthday cake here every year. I like the creme brûlée and fruit tart now; when I was a child I went through phases of triple chocolate mousse or chocolate raspberry. All are top-notch. For a small treat, their Opera bars are fantastic. Breakfast for me is a chocolate croissant...theirs are definitely the best in town. For lunch, the Avocado Pepper Jelly sandwich-- TRUST ME. I get cravings just thinking about it. My only criticism is the one time I sat down for breakfast and didn't get a special-- my food was very bland, and not very filling for what I paid. But that's what I get for just ordering scrambled eggs. Mocha wasn't amazing, but I don't come here for coffee anyway.
(4)Bren K.
Had the Roast Beef on baguette. The baguette was a little too hard but still delicious. Also had a cup of Yucatan Chicken soup which was out of this world.
(4)Anouk L.
Breakfast are good. I had an egg and bacon on a brioche and it was decent not exceptional but good. I tried a lavender macaroon which can be a risky flavor but it tasted great, too bad however that it didn't seem super fresh. I am French and I went to this place because of it's name, mirabelle which is a French fruit and one of my favorite. I was very disappointed to learn that they aren't using the fruit in any of their pastry. I would have given the place 4 star but will have to stick to 3 for that reason.
(3)L A.
This is my favorite bakery...everything is fantastic and fresh
(5)Tom E.
We had another great breakfast at Miracles this morning. So nice to know the place and what you want. Great waitperson. Thanks!
(4)Rob W.
I was on a road trip through the New England states and was recommended this place from the staff at the hotel we stayed in. Its a fun bakery in the middle of downtown. I would rate this a 5 star but I did not like the compact seating arrangements. I felt claustrophobic. The food and baked goods were excellent. I had the broccoli popover and it is definitely worth a try.
(4)Barbara D.
While it's easy to fall in love with Mirabelles' baked goods, it's breakfast and lunch offerings I recommend highly. Lunch specials usually include amazing salads and sandwiches. I rarely even look at the regular menu, but on the rare occasion that one of the specials doesn't strike my fancy, the menu holds many wonderful choices. There is something for everyone there.
(4)Bailey Z.
Mirabelles joins a growing list of solid brunch spots in Burlington. Of course, the popularity of this cafe and pastry shop comes with a long wait. The hostess tended to underestimate the wait time and they also ran out of a couple of specials so it would behoove you to arrive early. If you do end up waiting, the large display of cakes and pastries are sure to make you salivate. By the time we were seated, two of the specials were wiped off the board so I settled on the popover with herb-scrambled eggs and hash browns. The popovers run out quite frequently so get them while you can. These are Yorkshire pudding-like hollow rolls that are cut in half and stuffed with scrambled eggs. It was a little on the bland side and I wish it came with some sausage or bacon. I also tried a sausage, spinach, and mushroom omelet, which provided the savory flavor I was missing from my popover. The omelet came with your choice of toast (the baguette was amazing). I was most impressed with the hash browns here. They are cooked as a giant pancake and divided up into slices. The outer layers were perfected crispy with the inside mixed with sauteed onions. Each breakfast plate also came with fresh fruit, which left me feeling quite satisfied. If not for the wait, I would definitely be more inclined to come here more often for Sunday brunch. Their breakfast menu has a nice balance between sweet and savory and you leave feeling comfortably full.
(4)Jasper W.
I ordered a cake there before, it was so good. And there is one time I went there and had a nice breakfast. Everything is homemade; so delicious! Their morning coffee and breakfast will make you feel refresh and energetic!
(4)Alex C.
This is a good breakfast. Love the real hash browns and the extensive tea options. Get there early though-they get packed on Sunday by ten!
(4)M S.
If we are taking desserts I do not think there is anyone better than Mirabelles. Not only they make the best creme brulee I ever had they now put a new spin on it. Who has ever heard of a cremee brulee cake?! It's amazing! Breakfast and lunch are tasty as well but sweets and pastries steal the light. Another relatively new addition to the menu is ice-cream sandwiches. Chocolate with salted caramel is yummy (and huge so plan on sharing!)
(5)Mark S.
This is my favorite breakfast place in Burlington. On a recent weekend trip back to Burlington, I ate here with my parents. Our food was excellent and so was our server, who was very attentive. They have a tasty fried egg sandwich. Basically any egg dish, they do it well. Their hash browns are very good and unique because they're all formed together, like a potato pancake. This makes for a good crust on the outside of the potatoes and easy bites to eat. You can order the hash browns on the side, even though they're not listed as a side on the breakfast menu! There's also the requisite popover with your breakfast, topped with lots of strawberry jam. From their pastry case, their baked goods can be hit or miss. Their ginger cookie is delicious, so is their strawberry scone and their ham and cheese croissant. The cheese danish was just fair, mainly because of some spice they put in it. I couldn't figure out what the spice was... maybe cardamom? But the spice ended up overpowering the pastry and the delicate cheese filling.
(4)Martha B.
You haven't lived until you walk into this charming eatery and order a "Popover breakfast" which will have you dreaming of another one for days to come! It consists of a huge, melt-in-your-mouth popover filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, broccoli and spinach, heavenly homefries and fresh fruit on the side.....SCRUPTIOUS!
(5)Jamie G.
Mirabelle's sandwiches are not to be overlooked. Super-fresh ingredients and a twist to most of them counts for a LOT in my book: the Tandoori Chicken Pita and Turkey & Pepper Jelly on a baguette are incredible. (The pita has been haunting me ever since I tried it two days ago, and I'm going back for another today.) My experience with the service has always been positive: perhaps a little slow in the lunch rush, but c'mon: it's lunch rush, that's what happens. Servers and counter-people have been unfailingly polite, friendly, efficient, and just attentive enough.
(5)Wiley R.
This place is killer. Everything is amazing. The popover breakfast, the rise and shine sandwich, the griddle cakes...and the pastries are incredible as well. Good job, guys.
(5)Kellen Y.
Just stopped by here today and again, thank you Yelpers. As I've mentioned in the few reviews I've done...I work for several hospitals and I'm always looking for fun treats to bring into my meetings. I came to Mirabelles and they had so many different goodies to choose from. I got two boxes of the Macroons and they were a hit! Fun flavors and certainly pretty too. They also had cookies, pastries, cakes, and so much more. Great place and will DEFINITELY be my go to place when I have my meetings at Fletcher Allen. Thanks!!
(4)T. C.
Great breakfast place for the entire family... stopped in recently after an overnight stay in Burlington, VT. Fast, courteous service. Great selection of breakfast choices. Note that the breakfast egg choices DO NOT include toast (which has to be order separately). For the "sweet tooth" fans... there is a delicious selection of sinful looking cakes (by the slice) and sweet treats... Mmmmmm.

One Day to spend in Burlington 1st thing in the morning, headed over to my fave The "Cluse" which is simply too cool for school, ( UVM in this case) Open 7 days, the w e b sez,... and The Web Never Lies ! but its a quiet tuesday morning and they have decided to re-plum/rewire the place, all chairs are up on the tables & its all locked down / I am bummed! kind of break into the kitchen [looking for an errant biscuit or I suppose] only to find electricians everywhere! locate the boss, I come all the way to VT for his duck hash or whatnot, and this is how he thanks me ??? He's very sweet actually, So I ask where the 2nd best place for breakfast is in town... So here I am : Mirabelle : OK so maybe 4 & 1/2 stars Pretty simple, pretty tiny, dining room, a great little (hi-end) bakery , (patisserie not boulangerie) Had Pancakes - (7 of 10) Sausage & Bacon (from local smokehouse - (9.685 of 10 ) am about to go with biscuits & gravy when I spot some stuffed egg popover thing on the menu... so order a plain one on the side w/just Butter & Jam! ~ homemade! ~ still warm ! (10/10) Bingo ! I Still missed the Cluse;s weird ass, and funkeee' vibe though, but this was the bomb ! W.

Mirabelles made my wedding cake 7 years ago and it was sublime. But... I ordered a cake for my inlaw's 50 wedding anniversary last week and it was sadly very disappointing. It looked pretty from the outside, but when we cut into it there was more buttercream frosting on the cake than cake itself. It was like eating sweet butter, and sure it sounds great, but it's really not. In an attempt to salvage the moment, we ate the cake between the layers of frosting and the frosting stood up like beeswax. Wish I had take a picture of it to post. On the other hand I had great wait service while I was picking up the cake. Friendly waitress and support staff.
(3)Sandy B.
Delicious breakfast! Went there on Mother's Day. Very crowded but worth the wait. They have terrific pastries and almond macaroons. Get some to go!
(4)K U.
Amazing! Fresh! Brunch fantastic! No nasty greasy dinner food here!
(4)Andrew M.
Everything is made from scratch and insanely delicious. The staff is as sweet as the pastries. So good, we may have to make another trip to Burlington - soon!
(5)Andrew R.
We went for brunch. A lot of the super positive reviews are for their desserts or coffee, the seating area was a little small, and service was suboptimal. It doesn't seem like sit-down meals are their focus. The menu is, for the most part, very standard. I got an omelet-like egg dish in a popover, which seemed the most interesting thing. It was good, though a little flavorless (both the popover and the egg/cheese/spinach stuffing). Portions are huge. The best thing we had were the hashbrowns. Delicious, but pretty rich, so be careful. I'd happily go back, but as a tourist, it's not on my must-return-to list.
(3)Elaine L.
Nom nom nom for their pastries!! It was his birthday yesterday and so we originally wanted to get cannolis for his birthday but I think that may have to wait sadly. However, we found macaroons! Who would've thought that there would be French macaroons here???? I definitely didn't. They were good for sure and would have loved to have more but sadly, I can only eat so much in a few bites :( I would definitely recommend coming back here again for sure!
(4)Rob W.
I had walked by Mirabelles a million times and finally decided to grab lunch there one day. The best part of the meal was the cookies I grabbed while checking out. We all had sandwiches and none of them were anything special. Our waitress was pretty rude and uninterested. If I ever return to Mirabelles it will be to sample more of the goodies in the display cake...
(2)David M.
This place is good. We went for breakfast and was initially turned off due to the small amount to choose from on the menu. We went for it anyway and we're glad we did. Although there isn't much on the main breakfast menu, there are also specials (which we ordered) and it's easy to tell what they DO have on the menu they do it well. Everything was executed very well. If you want a simple, delicious breakfast definitely check this place out. No need to stand in super-long lines at other places... go here.
(4)Jeffrey K.
I went there for lunch with my wife and daughter. The menu wasn't very interesting a few sandwich choices and soups and salads. I had a potatoe soup, I've had better soup from a can and fo about 1/5th of the price. My daughter didn't finish her sandwich very unsatisfactory. High prices low quality. To be fair I didn't try the bake goods.
(1)Jem D.
This is my second favorite brunch place in Burlington (Penny Cluse wins for me). It's really hard to get in here. But the popovers and macarons are so, so good. This staff busts their butts on the weekends for brunch, let me tell ya. One day....I'll be back!
(5)Lisa B.
The candies and pastries are absolutely scrumptious in the delightful bakery in downtown Burlington. I am especially partial to the French style macaroons, which look and taste like little cakes with a hardened glaze on top, the chocolate mice with a chocolate creme filling and almonds covered in chocolate comprising their ears, and the tarts which are not overbearingly sweet, but instead have a light, fluffy consistency. If I had my way, I would indulge in these desserts every day of my life, that's how much I love them.
(5)Brian C.
Got 2 cakes for a birthday here. I called looking to get one strawberry shortcake, the woman who answered the phone told me about a berry tall cake. Basically it has fresh rasberries and strawberries with a passion fruit custard in the middle with some cream on top with a light flaky cake. Sounds too good to resist right? So i got both cakes. Absolutely delicious. I got Happy on one cake and Birthday on the second one and we devoured both cakes. The cakes tasted amazing, looked great and the price was not bad at all. I dont know how much cakes usually cost, but for around 22$ per cake, I was a happy camper. I was able to give a credit card over the phone and have someone else pick it up. Service was very friendly and accomodating. Hard to find a legit place in Burlington that does cakes, I am happy I found Mirabelles. If you need a cake, call this place! Will go again!
(5)Amy S.
Staff was friendly however not very prompt. Food was terrific. I loved the scramble. I would return again just not on a busy day.
(4)Ashley B.
Stopped in for a late breakfast and had a great meal. I had the special omelet of the day - eggs, smoked cheddar, spinach, bacon, tomato's which came with fruit, toasted baguette and hash browns. Delish! Really nice alternative to a heavy breakfast you would find in a dinner. My boyfriend got a chocolate croissant with his breakfast and I had to do everything in my power not to take half of it. There should be more places like this around!!!
(4)Nicole B.
I went to Mirabelles on a Saturday morning for brunch. The wait was only 15 minutes which, compared to the other brunch places in Burlington, was great. I ordered the breakfast scramble and basically modified everything which wasn't a problem at all. I ended up with an egg-white scramble with goat cheese, spinach, tomatoes, and avocado. It came with french baguette toast and fresh fruit. It was delicious! The french baguette was the best part, but I particularly liked that the eggs were not greasy and were delicious as well. The fruit selection was not that impressive, but I still appreciated the side of fruit. I also tried the banana walnut pancakes that came with walnuts and powdered sugar on top which were quite good as well. I really enjoyed my brunch here and I look forward to going back and trying something new. Another great thing about Mirabelles is that they have a delicious selection of pastries, so don't forget to stop by the pastry counter on your way out for dessert! They make delicious cakes and are definitely a place to consider when you are looking for a cake for a special occasion.
(4)Cat S.
Three fluffy eggs, scrambled with milk; French toast made from a baguette and sprinkled with powdered sugar; lightly toasted, non-greasy hash browns; three strips of bacon; and a side of fruit. Sound good? It is. Giant portions of delicious, high quality French food makes for a heavenly brunch which can feed two or gorge one. I go to Mirabelle's for brunch whenever the line is not out the front door.
(5)Eric C.
Breakfast, brunch, and lunch, OH MY! I absolutely adore this little cafe. It's such a wonderful local restaurant in downtown Burlington. I've come here twice now for breakfast and have not been disappointed. I got their Number 2 which came with french toast, eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage; and have also tried their sandwich as well. Both were extremely yummy and compared to other places here in Vermont, it was a lot easier on the pocket than most other places. This place can be busy on the weekends, but on the weekdays it's just the most delightful place to go. The ambiance is warm and comforting, but it's also bustling with people.
(4)Heidi C.
I go in between loving Mirabelle's and just liking it. It's probably the best place in the Burlington area to buy fresh pastries including croissants, macarons, delicious specialty cakes, etc. It's the closest thing to a French bakery that we have. Also, when they have them, the jelly doughnuts (or beignets as they call them) are probably the best in the area - even with all the new bakeries that now make doughnuts. The food can also be very good. It serves breakfast, brunch and lunch. I love the house salad (I always add chicken and avocado) and the hash browns are my favorite in town - all shredded and delicious. The lunch specials are always interesting. But occasionally I go and I'm underwhelmed. The food comes out cold or things and/or service is off. I never order the popovers there, as much as I love and appreciate popovers because they are always overbaked. Often the sausage has cartilage in it. The bathroom always has a line (there is just one small bathroom) and it's inconveniently located. It's a cute little spot, generally the food is quite good. A great place to meet an old friend for a civilized lunch in a bright, sunny setting or to meet a new friend when you're in a pinch and not sure where to go.
(4)Nicole G.
We stopped in for breakfast at lunch but found they had already switched to lunch menu, we weren't feeling the menu so we just got some cookies and half a dozen macaroons. I really loved my sugar cookies! I wasn't really feeling the macaroons. I've never had them before and didn't know what to expect. Next time we will try to get here for breakfast!
(4)Kate G.
I have been stopping here for lunch, coffee, and macaroons for years. It's always quality food, and it's always packed with people...a good sign. The sandwiches are unique without being too weird, their baked goods are fabulous, and full service coffee bar are great. A staple in downtown Burlington.
(5)Dina T.
Order the Comfy Milk!! Brilliant perfection. Great service with very inventive offerings. A delightful little spot that lives up to all things Burlington.
(5)Ron G.
Stopped here "by mistake". We were looking for a place to park on a trip back from Georgia going to Canada. Had yelped another restaurant and our spot was right in front of Mirabelle. Looked good and we changed our plan. We had a very good breakfast. I had the eggs and bacon Brioche. Great orange juice. Coffee could be better. Service was good. We live in Toronto and probably never will be back but it was a good "mistake" (the bakery side looks great too)
(4)Patricia T.
One of my favorite places to eat breakfast or lunch in Burlington. Wonderful place for afternoon tea and pastries. Have never had a dish I didn't like. Usually a wait for a table especially at the weekend but well worth it. The service is very good too. Wish that they were open for dinner.
(5)Heidi S.
Back in town visiting friends since leaving Burlington a few years ago, and must say that Mirabelle's just never fails to disappoint! This place is amazing, their food is delicious, their coffee delightful (maple latte anyone?), and I took about 4 million baked goods to go at the end to bring back to friends in DC.... who hear so much about Burlington's amazing food scene without being able to taste it for themselves. Just go to Mirabelle's, and enjoy every second. It's impossible not to love.
(5)Karen O.
Love, love, LOVE this place for breakfast!! I've looked at their lunch menu and always say I'm going to try it someday, but the breakfast here is just so good. I always get great service when I'm here, too. It's a little pricey compared to some other places, but whenever I had money to splurge on me, this is my go-to.
(5)Steven F.
ONLY THE BEST BREAKFAST EVER. OK, so, I know that's a controversial thing to say when talking about the city that contains Leunig's, Skinny Pancake and of course Penny Cluse, but really the buck stops here. Mirabelles has everything you need. Amazing food, little to no wait and a friendly, attractive waitstaff (everyone needs eye candy at breakfast). The best way to experience Mirabelles is to go before 10am, to make sure they haven't run out of their impeccable homemade biscuits. They are truly a modern world wonder. Slap egg and cheese on one of those puppies and you are presented with the best breakfast of your life.
(5)Laura D.
MMmmmMMMM. I have heard a lot about Mirabelles. My parents rave about going here when they visit my brother. I love going out to breakfast, and Mirabelles was our Saturday (late) morning ticket. There was a bit of a wait, so we picked up an almond croissant to pick on while we waited. Yum! The flavor was perfectly almond-y and flaky. The pasty set the tone and really got me ready to eat. I ordered one of the specials- something like blueberry banana almond pancakes. They were very good, sprinkled with blueberries and cut up banana. The pancakes seemed whole wheat, which was also nice yet unexpected. I would like to go back again for breakfast or lunch and try one of the paninis. And the cookies and cakes look unreal! Can't wait to sample more items.
(4)Steve D.
We had a great breakfast here on a rainy Sunday in September (table service). The food was quite good: fritata with smoked chicken sausage, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, good omlets, and fantastic baked goods--also a cinammon croissant, lemon almond cake and some fine biscuits.
(4)Gina C.
Wow. Went with 3 others, and miraculously spent $75.00 total on breakfast. HOW COULD WE RESIST. Errbody wants dem fluffay pancakes all up in da mouf. Per item, the prices are not exorbitant, but if you get everything your heart desires as we did, you can build up a breakfast that costs a small fortune. The space is very cute, the waitstaff sunshiny and smiley, the food is outta this world. I'd recommend checking out the specials board before making a decision...I had the Chilaquiles special--- it was divine. Normally for me, savory trumps sweet...but I'd heard too many good things about Mirabelle's pancakes to not get one on the side. So yeah. I had both. The "specials" promotion is not to talk down their classic breakfasts-- their egg platters straight up are pretty good-- and not too too expensive. Good stuff. ENJOY.
(4)Danie R.
Why must you have popovers on your menu AND on your specials boards, then not have them?! Pete and I both wanted popovers for breakfast, and were sorely disappointed. We settled on other items, but the popovers were missed. The food was fine... The hash browns were grated potatoes and grilled in a cake-like way.. then cute into a cube, then served. It was barely warm. I like home fries better. Their eggs were great though... But I still can't get over the no popovers!~!!
(3)Laura B.
My husband and I went here for breakfast last Saturday around 8:15 am. It was nice and early so parking and seating weren't an issue. You're overwhelmed with yummy scents as soon as you walk in. There are so many cakes, cookies, and pastries to look at! We got a table right away and there weren't many other patrons there. I had pancakes and my husband had the popover omelet. I warned him that I'd seen a few reviews on Yelp that said the omelet was disappointing or bland. He loved it and said it was really very good. The pancakes were the best I've ever had, except for my mom's of course! Certainly the best I've ever had in a restaurant. We really enjoyed our breakfast. The server was very nice, and prompt. All in all no complaints! We left somewhere between 9am-9:15am and it definitely starting getting busier at that point. As long as we can be in and out by 9ish I think this will be a regular spot for us.
(4)Francesca M.
Mirabelle's is fabulous except that it is so popular there may be a wait to get a seat at the most popular times. My brother is a lawyer in New York and his dream is to retire to Vermont and get an office above Mirabelle's so he can eat breakfast there every day. Every thing is top notch quality - the pastries and the meals - I have never, ever had a bad experience here. Treat yourself!
(5)Mimi S.
I don't know about you but I think they have pretty obnoxious people working here. We went in on a Monday and it was 15 minutes to closing time, which was 5 p.m. Still, we came in before closing time. If the crew wasn't interested in serving us at all, they could have just politely explained something like, "Our kitchen is closed for the evening." as soon as we stepped into the door. But no. The waitress had to wait until our party of 3 adults and 2 children maneuvered our way into a table before she could give us attitude. She handed us the menus and as she walked away, she said over her shoulder "You have 15 minutes." Stunned, I asked her if she meant 15 minutes to decide what we wanted or 15 minutes to eat? And the bi-otch replied behind her station- "Whichever comes first." With that, we stood up and made our exit. And true to her kind, she still had the gall to call out "Bye!" So, bye-bye it is! We don't have to settle for your ordinary food and mostly, we don't have to deal with your nasty staff!
(1)Mari S.
Lots of good looking desserts, the raspberry tart was super good, the soups are also good and the service was very friendly. Now if only they had more bread choices.
(4)Mara W.
Try the breakfast burrito! It is perfect! Excellent coffee, pastries and breakfast sandwiches!
(4)Quinn S.
Great place for brunch or lunch or cake. Fond memories of brunch on a snow day. I miss snow days, and I miss brunches at Mirabelles. Some of the finest confectionary stuff as well. Cakes, tarts, tortes and so on. All Superb. The prices are good, and the staff is always pretty with it. I can't say that I love the seating area. It is always drafty, cramped and difficult to navigate when crowded.
(4)Gerald S.
Great bakery. I love their breakfast choices & lunch sandwiches.
(4)Denise M.
Amazing food, creative and seasonal. If you can't eat there definitely take some of the pastries home, you'll be happy you did. I hear the popovers are awesome but we seem to get there too late.
(5)Michelle T.
Wow, didn't realize I didn't write a review. We got a variety of cookies and pastries from this place, and I remember some of them were just ok, but some of them were really outstanding. The one I particularly remember being absolutely delicious was the key lime tart. Perfect balance of sweet and tart and creamy, not heavy or overdone.

When I worked on church street we had a sales woman who would always bring us a tray of assorted sandwiches, a huge fresh fruit salad, a green salad with dressing and a plate of decadent deserts from Mirabelles. Everything was unbelievably great. It was my favorite day of the year, and she was my favorite sales rep :)

Do you like cake? I like cake. Let's eat cake. Let them eat cake...we all eat cake. mmm. On top of the fact that they make the best cake ever...Mirabelle's has a tasty lunch and coffee if you want to take a break (or fuel up) before shopping on Church street. The ingredients are fresh and not overdone...no preservatives here. Back to cake. You can't go wrong. Almond layered cake covered in fabulous thick chocolate ganache or yellow cake with lemon curd and raspberry filling and buttercream icing. I loved their cake so much ... they made my wedding cake. Surprise, surprise...I now have another reason to love Mirabelle's. Had a hard time choosing a flavor so Allison said have all three...and I did. A picture of this fabulous work of gastric art can be found in my pictures. Excuse me...another piece of cake please!

Really great pastries and cakes. Other food is usually pretty good although overpriced. I ordered a sandwich that was missing ingredients and those that did make it on were rather skimpy... $7 for a half sandwich seemed steep to me. Breakfast is ok, not as good as Penny Cluse. But hands down it's the best place to get a cookie or dessert treat in town.

Terrific baked goods & tasty breakfasts & sandwiches. Kid friendly.

My husband and I went here for lunch while in the area. I got an avocado sandwich and he got the special which was a vegetable tart. The sandwich was fine, nothing to write home about but the bread was quite good. His tart was very good we both loved it. I had also ordered a pot of tea and the waitress didn't bring it. So when we got our food I asked her again and she said "oh sure".....and didn't bring it still. I do want to add it was not busy at all. We were her only table until a group of girls came in who must have been her friends because she was talking to them for a while. Although the food was good it took forever to come out and after we were done we couldn't find our waitress and had to have someone get her for the bill....and then the tea was on the bill and she took 5 minutes to take it off. It was a little crazy considering like I said they really weren't busy. If they were I'd have been totally sympathetic. I'm not in Burlington much but I doubt I'll come back here when I am in the area. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because I got the bread pudding in the way out and it was absolutely delicious. I really hate when bad customer service ruins what could have been a nice dining experience. It took up way too much of our time.
(2)Cai L.
Get the Pumpkin Whoopie Pie. Amazing. (And have a friend order the popover so you can have a bite). Really friendly service and reasonable prices. I think they should have a better system for seating folks -- some just camp out for hours with just a cup of coffee and a newspaper. That's fine if it's a coffee shop, but I think sorta unreasonable for sit-down service (and not just for the other customers -- for the servers, too!). That said, I was really surprised that I didn't have to wait in line around 10am on a Saturday morning. Though I hear that's not always the case... All told, this place is as good as the rave reviews I'd heard prior to going.
(4)Lester A.
Excellent pastries. Excellent breakfast.
(5)Nina J.
Mirabelle's used to be an above-average bakery with really good croissants. No more. They now have compulsory waitron service, but the service is slow and indifferent. The croissants are not flaky, but more like muffins cleverly shaped like a croissant. The tea is weak, even with a double dose of leaves. I don't go there anymore.
(1)Riz J.
(5)Sara S.

(3)Alice P.
(4)Eric C.
We live in Toronto and probably never will be back but it was a good "mistake" (the bakery side looks great too)
(4)Jamie G.
(5)Bailey Z.
(4)Mark S.

(3)M S.
(5)Elaine L.
(5)Nicole B.
(5)Patricia T.
(4)Gina C.
(5)Kim M.
The food was ok, the service was so so slow. I probably would not go back.
(3)Mimi S.

Lots of good looking desserts, the raspberry tart was super good, the soups are also good and the service was very friendly. Now if only they had more bread choices.

Great bakery. I love their breakfast choices & lunch sandwiches.

Amazing food, creative and seasonal. If you can't eat there definitely take some of the pastries home, you'll be happy you did. I hear the popovers are awesome but we seem to get there too late.

Staff was friendly however not very prompt. Food was terrific. I loved the scramble. I would return again just not on a busy day.
