This is a gem of place to stay in Burlington. It is within a 7 minute walk to downtown, or Church Street, and still feels like a quiet oasis. The staff is so helpful and kind. Recommendations and maps abound! The rooms are big, and the beds! So fluffy and great. Then there is the food-Banana Nutella Muffin?!?! Just for a breakfast appetizer?! The rest is even better. We had such a great time, loved the location, and mostly the people. Can't wait to come back!

We loved Lang House. Stayed 2 nights in the Allen Room. The room was a good size & had a bathroom inside. The bed was so comfortable & the sheets so soft. Breakfast was fantastic both days & everyone was super nice. Would absolutely stay here again!

Just awesome. We booked late and ended up staying in 3 different rooms (fisher, garden spa, and galloway) and all 3 were nice. Galloway is separate in the carriage house.. fairly small simple room that was comfortable and more than adequate. The fisher room is in the main house and slightly larger than the galloway... or at least feels like it. Super cozy feel in this room and I like the location. I don't want to tell anyone about the garden spa so it is more likely to be available when I want to book it. It has a private entrance, great space, large jetted tub with separate good size rain shower and private water closet. The tub and shower are open to the room with a movable privacy screen so if you're going as a family you won't have a lot of privacy in the shower area. If you don't care or are leaving them home, this is a beautiful space. Bonus: fridge and stove. Location is decent. You're up the hill from town but not the whole way up and it is still walkable or a really easy drive with reasonable parking fees in town. Robes and slippers are a nice touch. Breakfast was fantastic. Eggs and veggies over corn grits (so ridiculously good), squash fritatta, apple pancakes, baked goods, nom nom.. The staff was phenomenal. We didn't get to meet the innkeeper because she had a family event, but she's done a great job - these kids were on point. Thanks for a great time! We will definitely be back.

Staying at the Lang House was a great experience. From the moment we arrived the staff was welcoming and very accommodating. The house is beautiful, the room we stayed in was very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was top notch. The location is a big bonus. A quick walk to downtown to enjoy the nightlife. Strongly recommend the Lang House.

Lang House is a lovely place to stay if you're ever in Burlington. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the bed was one of the most comfortable "hotel" beds I've slept in. Good breakfast, too. There were three choices--a sweet, a savory, and the house granola. I had the savory and it was fabulous. Lang House is also in walking distance to town and a lot of great things to do. I well enjoyed my stay.

This was the best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed at. The rooms, no mater what size you're getting, are perfect. So inviting and cozy. My husband didn't mind taking a break every now and then to read so I could catch a nap! The staff is all so nice, and the owner is always around, and checks in with you. I feel like they really want to make sure you're happy. You can choose from 4 changing breakfasts daily, all to die for in sure, but only the sweet option for me!

My girlfriend and I stayed here over a long weekend. The room was cozy and wonderful (we stayed in the Hayward). The staff was just amazing. They were super friendly and accommodating. I think the highlight of the stay was the breakfast. They did such an amazing job, it was so fresh and delicious. We are definitely going to come back next time we are in Burlington!

Reviews can tend to be a bit lengthy and not to the point - so here's what you need to know about Lang House in Burlington, VT... If there was a way to give them 6 or even more stars on Yelp I would. I work in the hospitality / food business and I'm always keenly aware of how other establishments conduct their business. To have a "business peer" give a glowing review to another fellow business is to me the pinnacle of success. This B&B, from the minute we entered until the minute we departed, treated us exceptionally.... Like old friends in town to see each other after too much time apart. The attention to detail in the rooms was amazing and the culinary side of things was far and away more than one would expect from most bed & breakfast places. Simply stated... Lang House is the B&B that all other B&B's should strive to be. You will not be disappointed in them or the beautiful city of Burlington, VT.

We stayed at this lovely B&B for almost a week in August. I came with my extended family and rented about five rooms. This was very complicated (on our end), but Lang house handled it beautifully and had great rooms for us. The rooms were truly lovely. They were very much in the B&B style - traditional, Victorian, etc. All the rooms had nice beds, comfortable big chairs, and nice bathrooms. They were well-designed and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious! They had a different menu of three or so choices every day. I definitely indulged in some crazy delicious treats there :) The location is also great! It is about a 10 minute walk into "downtown" Burlington. This is really a sweet, charming B&B, and I would recommend it to anyone who is traveling to Burlington

Lang House is one of my top 2 favorite B&Bs that I've ever stayed in for several reasons. We stayed in the McClurkin room which is in the carriage house, which was very private, but still had all the amenities of the main house. The owners had water, tea, coffee and fresh baked goods on the first floor so if we needed anything, we never had to leave the Carriage House. The room itself was huge, and the bed was SO comfortable. I look forward to returning!

We are driving across the New England states and LOVED this B&B. The service was great...starting with an email 2 weeks before our visit offering to make dinner reservations (nice touch). We stayed one night in the Allen Room...very spacious, beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable (score!). They even offered the option of having breakfast in our room. We are so glad we went this direction vs the big hotel chain...wonderful experience.

Very nice B&B located near the downtown area. The house is clean, comfortable, well appointed and well kept. Although I see that there is a review to the contrary, we found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful during our stay We had a 2 person room located on the third floor. The room was very nice, with a 3/4 bath and included modern conveniences such as a flat screen television and wifi. Although this particular room was a little on the small side, another couple opted for a 3 person room which was much larger. For breakfast we had three options available: a fritata with ricotta, smoked mozzarella, sun-dried tomato, sausage, basil and multi grain toast; yogurt with homemade granola; and whole wheat flapjacks with spiced cherry topping and turkey sausage. The fritatta was good, but we also ordered a side of the homemade granola and yogurt which was exceptionally good and made me wish that I had ordered a full portion. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Lang House is the perfect spot to stay if you're in the Burlington area. I was actually never a real B&B fan until I stayed here. My husband and I came up for a long weekend and I wound up booking here because I couldn't find a room in any of the nearby hotels. I'm so glad now that I was "forced' to book here! Kim and the staff were wonderful. Emily was very helpful over the phone and Sydney was so bubbly and cheerful, you couldn't help but smile. The breakfasts are incredibly delicious and the added touches make it very cozy (they leave cookies out in the evening and tea/coffee are available whenever). The hosts are laid back but attentive, so it's the perfect combination. My husband and I stayed in the Galloway room in the Carriage house and loved the room, primarily because it was more secluded from the main house. We are both early 30s and didn't find that the inn was stuffy at all (which is what I always thought a B&B would be like). We brought our bikes and were able to bike to Church street and the waterfront within minutes. Would very highly recommend this place to anyone!! Thank you Kim and staff!!

Just an all around great bed and Breakfast. The historic house is beautifully restored and the location can't be beat. We were visiting from New York and were grateful to be able the enjoy the many walkable-delights Burlington has to offer. Also, the hosts really get the details right. From the perfectly appointed rooms, to the open, easy energy of the common rooms, to the impeccable breakfast crafted from local ingredients. I also appreciated the beer, wine and cheese menu which serves as the entire "room service" program. Not something you expect at a B & B but exactly the sort of thing I occasionally pine for when staying in one. Can't wait to come back.

This is a first class B&B. First, the Bed part - the beds are great (firm, but with a 2 inch tempurpedic top), the bathrooms are modern, clearly all redone recently, the furnishings are tasteful and go with the turn-of-the-century nature of this very nice part of Burlington, between the university and the center of town a few blocks away. And still it's quiet enough. If that's a concern, get a room in the back stable. Air conditioned, too. And a nice back yard garden to sit in. Second, the Breakfast part - very good, and a changing selection every morning. From granola etc. to tasty omelets and popovers. Fresh cookies every afternoon, too. Also, nice and reasonably priced wine selection available, with cheese plates in the evening. The owner is a very nice lady who was a successful but unhappy university development person (that means fund-raiser). She was extremely helpful in directing us to very interesting places in this area - the great bike trail out into the lake, Shelbourne Farms, Shelbourne Museum, and made reservations for us at good restaurants she recommended in town. She clearly has kept her ties to the university community, and a lot of her employees are, I believe, college students - they were very nice and helpful, but she's better - she usually leaves the desk about 3 pm. Really a fine place.

Clean and comfortable. Staff wasn't too friendly or interested. Convenient location- close to campus and the downtown shops area. Good, but not great.

Cute B&B with an awesome location in Burlington. We stayed in one of the two rooms in the back house, and enjoyed our stay, the privacy and the helpfulness from the staff. We had a great breakfast the next morning as well.
