Typical Chinese take out // delivery food. They said 45 mins to an hour and they were here on time to my hotel room (the Courtyard on Cherry St). I'm happy with the food quality but I must say it seems a little high priced. If in town again, and in need of delivery Chinese, I would order again. Thanks!

This place is fucking raunchy. The only thing it's good for is the price and the taste (kind of). I've probably ordered from this place 10 times over 4 years of being at UVM. Don't get me wrong, it's perfect for your late night cravings for something greasy and cheap. However, twice I've gotten it with hair in my food (after the second time of it being a short, thick black hair, I haven't ordered again). Also, their timing sucks. Always expect to wait at least an hour regardless of what they say to you. For the sake of your health and time spent waiting, choose a different place.

The food is not always good I bought beef and broccoli and it tasted like vinegar. The rice was cold like it just came put of a fridge not to mention the delivery guy that was rude and took 1 hour and 47 mins to get here after they told me 45 mins.

Just had a pretty horrible experience with China express 2. I looked at the delivery map before placing my order and got a call saying that they don't deliver to my area. I brought up that it's on the map and the girl on the phone asked some guy in the background and he said "ugh just tell her we can't deliver because of the weather then." (There's a pretty bad storm going on and I called before ordering to ask if they were delivering). I was about to say ok no problem when I heard another guy in the background mocking me saying "but it's on the delivery map" in that fake whiney customer voice and laughing at me. So I said to the girl on the phone that i could hear the making fun of me and that that wasn't cool and she was like oh they aren't making fun of you........ I was like uhh yeah I can hear them mocking me and hung up. Don't order from this place unless you want to be made fun of in the process.

Why do they refuse to cook lunch? I'm really sick and tired of calling just to hear they are still closed. The food is decent Chinese... The prices seem to be whatever their fingers hit on the cash register because they sure aren't the prices listed in the menu.

A pretty standard take-out place. It's well-priced and has an easy online ordering system which is a plus. The food was just ok though. I ordered an egg roll, crab rangoon, sesame chicken and pork fried rice. The pork fried rice was really good. Probably the best part of the meal. The egg roll was small and lukewarm. The crab rangoon was small too, it looked like they barely put a teaspoon of the filling inside the wonton wrappers. But it tasted pretty good. The chicken was ok, not great flavor. Everything kind of tasted like it had been made in the morning and was left to sit under a lamp all day. I don't expect takeout chinese to be fresh, but this fell a bit flat for me. Nothing traumatic but just a little meh. I'll probably order somewhere else next time before trying this place again.

Good, friendly, fast service. Good prices, reasonable food. They don't automatically include sauce/fortune cookie/etc, so if you want that just let them know and it will be in your carry out bag

Seriously it was the most disgusting Chinese food I have ever had in my life and I'm not a picky eater. I was so disappointed. My boyfriend and I threw the food out because it was so gross. Not to mention the prices on the menu are not true. So if you are hungry and on a limited income, DON"T order from China Express on North St. Burlington.

For a take-out Chinese joint, China Express in the North End is reliable and tasty. I've ordered dozens of times through the years, most recently on this past Tuesday evening. Our boneless spare ribs, shrimp fried rice, and fried pork dumplings were delivered in less than fifteen minutes, piping hot and delicious. The price is affordable and the taste is great.

Great food. As Chinese food goes this is the best in town. They will happily make things the way you want and alter existing menu items to keep you happy I understand that they have disassociated themselves from the Shelburne road location. This was a great idea as their food is far superior. This clean friendly location was a huge contrast to their south end counterpart.

I've been going to China Express on North St for years... IMO, if you're looking for appropriately priced Chinese take-out, it doesn't get better than this, at least not in Burlington. Oh, one other thing, stay away from the one in the South End. It's gone downhill, and the owners have done their best to seperate themselves from that one, it just doesn't measure up.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
