Had lunch here I got the lunch special. It was a lot of food and very reasonably priced. The quality of the food was above-average. The atmosphere is a little funky because it is located down in a basement. I will go back if in the area again I wouldn't consider it a destination place.

I stopped in here last night with my boyfriend for a quick bite. We shared the pork gyoza and a coconut shrimp tempura roll. Both were delicious and the sushi came with an unexpected salad on the platter. The only downside to our meal was that our roll was so big it was difficult to eat. I mentioned this to our waiter and he agreed and said, "yeah, it would be better with a knife!", funny, we only had chopsticks. If we eat here again, I will definitely get the udon noodle in broth. We saw many people eating them and they looked great. The build your own soup portion is big enough to share from what we saw so don't let the $14 price scare you. The service was attentive and quick for us. We were seated next to two large groups and we didn't suffer at all.

2 of us waited 45 minutes to be seated outside on a Saturday evening. It took them forever (15 min) to bring menus and water, and come take our order (15 more min). My sushi came after about 45 additional minutes. I ate while my bf watched. After 30 more minutes of waiting for his food, we prepared to leave money on the table and take off after we couldn't find a waitress to settle up with. They finally brought his food and we stayed so he could eat it. They charged us for an item they never served, and we had to ask for the check several times. What a hassle. Overall, the service was terrible and the food was nothing special. Definitely not worth a 3 hour ordeal. Don't ever go here, it ruined our night.

I went with great hopes, based on the ratings here. Had a decent serving of salmon sashimi. Green tea came in a Bodum maker, and was so weak it was transparent. Waiter took it back and returned with a regular teapot that was strong enough. All right so far. Then I ordered my favorite sushi dish, ikura (salmon roe). I've had it all over the world, it's a litmus test for a Japanese restaurant. Tasted it and almost spit it out. It was sweetened! I called the waiter over and said "Is there some sort of sauce on the ikura, to make the roe sweet or something?" No, he assured me. I asked him to check with the chef, a woman sitting in the corner reading the paper. Oh yes, she said. I put mirin in it. Who on EARTH puts mirin - Japanese sweet rice wine - onto salmon roe? In my entire five decades I've never even heard of this. When I protested that it was completely out of character for the dish and, to put it mildly, "disgusting", the waiter consulted with the chef again. When I got the bill I discovered they'd taken half the price of the ikura order off - still charging me for the piece that had led to my discovery. This was one of the most noxious food combinations I've tasted, and I've eaten marinated caterpillar, lutefisk, haggis... The mirin completely destroyed the salty ocean flavor of the roe, while dripping into the rice and destroying it, too. I unwittingly dipped it lightly in soy sauce before tasting, so it was made even worse. The only reason I can think for adding the sweet mirin - outside of complete ignorance - would be to disguise the smell and flavor of something that was on the verge of going bad. That there wasn't even an apology, a hint of "Let me make you another order, the traditional way", speaks poorly of the restaurant's service as well. Any place that puts rice wine into salmon roe needs to close down its sushi bar and open back up as a bar only. Or a beer hall. Or anything but a place advertising page after page of "traditional sushi".

With so many restaurants on Church Street in Burlington, choosing one can be sometimes tough. But going to this one did not disappoint. We went for dinner. Although, the place is known for its Sushi, we didnt try it. We had the Noodle Soup - you can select your meat, the type of noodle and the broth! What a lovely idea. The portion is HUGE, so if you have a small appetite - skip the appetizers! I tried the egg noodles, with Vegetables and the tom-yum broth. Loved it - just the right spice and flavor. I asked for 1/4 portion of the egg noodle, and that itself was a lot! My husband tried the Malaysian Curry with chicken, and he liked it too. Would surely come back to try the other broths!

Sushi was good. Veggie rolls were excellent. Service was informal but fine - especially for saturday night. Prices were surprisingly modest. I'd definitely go back.

While I sat down for more than 5 mins.. the lady who sat me down which is also waitress maybe?? Didn't give us any menu or water. The couple in front of me were there already before me and the waitress asked them if she gaved them a menu. what?? They said No. && it wasn't even a BUSY. Only had like 4 tables including me. Waitress there has too much makeup on.. she just looked like a hooker to me with crazy eye makeup tht looks too harsh. She only kept on checkin with the mirror and careless about the customers. AS for the the food. My BF ordered a noodle soup $14.95, since their restaurant name is Asiana Noodle right? So noodle must be good.. ehhhh. My own instant noodle taste better than them!! Very BLAND NOODLE SOUP. Their noodle soups are fake.. most likely is to CHEAT to Americans that doesn't know anything about asian food. I ordered one of their special rolls for $12.95. so friggin expensive and at first one taste good.. then so on 2-4 taste so salty.. Probably loaded with ALOT OF MSG IN SOUP AND SUSHI. I've never taste any sushi that SALTY. NOODLE SOUP: $14.95 [ most expensive noodle soup EVER ordered!! I'm from NY and never seen tht expensive bland noodle soup. ] SUSHI ROLL: $12.95 [ too salty ] SERVICE: 0 STARS FOOD: 0 STARS I can't believe I wasted $$$$ on garbage food that I can make better at home.

The food was all right (mediocre) but the service completely stunk. The waiter forgot that my meal came with Miso soup. In itself, that wouldn't have been so bad, except, I didn't have an opportunity to remind her until my wife was done with her main course. In fact, it was another 10-15 minutes before I got my soup and another 20 minutes before my main course came out. Very disappointing. They weren't even very busy that evening.
(2)Helen L.
I don't eat sushi so I don't go into places like this often, but I'm glad friends convinced us! We had the freshest gyoza ever, even if the flavor of the meat wasn't quite as good as other places. The Korean short ribs were absolutely delicious, but for the price there should have been more ribs and less sides. The miso soup was delicious and it was my first, so I have nothing to compare it to. I thought it was very oceany, which I liked, and the other diners thought it fishier than most, so there's that to consider if you have an opinion of miso soup. The kim chee soup was absolutely amazing.I would bathe in it. We were with folks who eat sushi and they were raving. I tried one and confirmed that sushi is not for me, but that has nothing to do with the restaurant. That I didn't spit it out AND even tried a second bite to be sure is probably to their credit. The wait was not bad at all for a Saturday night and the service was fast and friendly. There are so many things I can't wait to try next!

We were in town during Homecoming weekend and stopped here for lunch. It is a rather small restaurant, but it has good word of mouth, so it fills up very quickly during the meal times. We were glad to have gotten the last large table. The service was good when we were there. The sushi and sashimi boat was delicious, as was the pork gravy bowl, and the bowl of chicken and tofu udon in miso soup. We were very satisfied customers.

Great food. My only complaint would be that it's slightly pricey. The chirashi was phenomenal. This might be the best sushi in Burlington for the price.

The Food is absolutely amazing, thats why i give it three stars! The service is awful and they have over charged me on tips and have tried to steel cash from me. The story, May 23, 2013. My girlfriend and I were over due for a date, so we chose our favorite sushi establishment, the Asiana Noodle Shop, because well, the food is great. We were sat extremely close to other tables that were large groups and very loud when multiple 2 tops were open in other areas, we shrugged that off because we were super hungry! The tall male waiter, forget his name because he never told us, ignored us multiple times when walking by, not to mention never filled our water and bumped into our table when ever walking by (he is pretty skinny and the lane was pretty big) After waiting 10 minutes to even get our water, he says he will be right back. The other waiter takes our order because we pull her aside. Food was great although it came out meal, appetizer salad, but oh well, shit was delicious. The bill came, it was 62.50 (change was a guess) we paid in 30$ cash and the rest on my card. We told the waiter exactly what we had put on the table, 30 cash and the rest on the card. Good thing i look at my receipt before i sign it because he put the entire thing on the card and took the 30. We then complained where he acted like he had been caught in the act of pocketing the cash. We complained, and he said it hadnt gone through so we would only see the correct charge. So i gave them a tip and we went on our merry way! I checked my bank statement today, the 24, and not only did they charge me for the whole bill, they also charged me an extra 30 dollars, out of no where! This is not the first time they have done this either. Watch out, they will steal money from you....if they do not refund me my entire meal, i will be taking legal action against them and contacting the better business bureau.

I see alot of mixed reviews and I have only eaten here once so I will try to confine my comments to the food I ate, which was excellent, rather than extrapolate to cover all the fare. I really liked the concept of taking any type of soup base and marrying it to the type of noodle of your choice. I was having a hard time deciding between the Tom Yum with Udon or the Kim Chee with Egg Noodles, but the latter eventually won out. I was incredibly happy with the meal. The portion was huge and the food itself was excellent. The broth was spicy and the vegetables in the soup were varied and pickled perfectly. The noodles were also very good. I would recommend this place highly to all the noodle freaks out there that have always wanted to go crazy with their soup! Asiana feeds your desires. Service was only fair which is the only reason they get 4 and not a 5.

Waiter r no nice ,because I am Asian ?you thinking I will give you bad tip? The way look me like that? Let me tell you I always give more than 30%tips , You miss it , enjoy the $1 tip , for give me a water:)

Tasty pan-Asian restaurant on the coolest street in Burlington. The Thai fish cakes were good -- texture often kills these, but in this case, they did a great job. The sauce with them was just right. Noodle dishes are the specialty, and every one I've tried has been genrously sized and flavorful.

One Fine Fishy. I am new to the area and was curious as to how the local sushi scene stacks up to the awesomeness that is Florida fresh sushi. I was not disappointed in Asiana Noodle Shop. I stopped in for a late lunch (130pm) and was greeted/ seated right away. There were two servers who were working as a team. I ordered the sashimi lunch plate. This had a very nice selection of salmon, white tuna, yellow fin tuna, and snapper. All were tasty with perhaps the exception the salmon. The salmon while it did not taste fishy (the hallmark of bad sushi) it did have a gelatinous texture that I was not accustomed to. The customer service was excellent as the servers came by a few time to see if I was enjoying the meal. Even asked to have a little seaweed salad added to the side of the plate (they did not charge me for this so... big bonus points). Overall a respectable sushi place by any measure. I will be a frequent visitor. Till next time Go Eat and enjoy!

Really poor service; ok food. I was really hoping to get some good food here, but unfortunately it wasn't to be. I'm always suspect of multi specialty cuisine places and this turned out to be one of those. The menu is primarily japanese food with marquee noodle/soup dishes from thai/malaysian/chinese and other asian cuisines. I ordered a tom yum soup and a vegetarian hot pot. The tom yum soup wasn't bad, but you could tell they took a couple of short cuts and loaded it up with the tom yum broth. I regret getting the vegetarian hot pot. It was poorly cut vegetables, bean noodles, soy sauce, and no other flavors whatsoever. Some of the carrot pieces were so big, I had to focus solely on eating the carrot. The worst part is the hotpot actually burned the soy sauce so my food just tasted like burnt soy sauce. The service was really bad, and I think it was mainly because one of the waiters. I had the hardest time trying to get the waiter to take my order. I saw other patrons trying to get his attention too, but the dude would just disappear of to the back and not return. Even the sushi chef looked annoyed at the waiter because the waiter wouldn't clear the tables and people were waiting to get in. The waiter was probably the reason for the long wait to get food, the guy was unorganized and all over the place. Overall, the service was really bad and the food that I ordered wasn't particularly good. If I do go there again, I think I'll try the sushi platters instead. I saw some of the sushi platters and they looked pretty exquisite.

B: Edamame, Thai hot and sour soup with shrimp. Me: Seaweed salad, Korean short ribs and kimchee. Friendly atmosphere and wait staff. Good casual food, too. Not what I would call "fusion," since the various flavors and cooking styles weren't blended; but there is a wide variety of Asian cooking styles and dishes represented on the menu. NOT just a noodle shop.

We have been there many times and have introduced many friends as well. Always an enjoyable experience. Great staff, excellent food - love the variety. Be prepared to wait in line if you get there around dinner time - they don't take reservations.

I give Asiana FOUR STARS for flavor and quality of food - absolutely delicious, made-from-scratch, and a special breath of fresh air this far north in VT. Unfortunately, I have to give them zero stars for service. When in town over the holidays, I ate here twice, once on Dec 29 and again on Jan 1. The first time I went, it was with a group of five people, around 3:00 in the afternoon or so. We waited over an hour for our food. Yes, it was pretty frustrating to have to wait so long, but we ignored it and focused on the delicious food. With the memory of the yummy ramen noodles in our mind, my sister and I returned on New Year's Day for a snack. Maybe they decided we were lesser priority because we weren't spending as much - but that also doesn't make sense, since the first time we went we ordered a TON of food and the service was still glacial. At any rate: from the time we were seated, it was a full 50 minutes until our tiny order of Summer Rolls and a simple $5 side-dish of Udon Soup arrived. We were also graced with an eye-rolling, sighing waiter who forgot to initially wait on us, then served us tea without cups, then forgot our utensils, and on and on.... The food, however, was fresh, amazing and almost - almost - worth the wait! This restaurant could be truly wonderful if the kitchen and waitstaff focused as much on the overall customer experience as they did on crafting delicious food. I'm willing to overlook one slow experience, but two in a row prompted me to post this on Yelp.

Malaysian curry soup, masaman curry, sushi and a glass of McManus cab--winning combination at the noodle shop...I was hesitant to go because the reviews bashed the service, but the service was great as well. We shall return...portions were massive

My boyfriend and I stopped in to this noodle shop to grab a quick bite to eat while shopping on Church Street. The dining room is small, but cozy, even though the seating for two was very awkward. Nothing that would have sent us away. My boyfriend wanted noodles, but I was sold as soon as I saw sushi on the menu and you can even see the sushi chef working from the dining room. My boyfriend got a make your own noodle dish, and all he could do was rave about it. From the dumplings to the noodles, it was perfect. Unfortunately, I got sushi. I ordered the sushi lunch which is a California roll and some temakizushi, salmon, two types of tuna, and whitefish. It was some of the worst sushi I have ever had, worse than super market sushi. There were patches where the scales were still on the whitefish, the tuna tasted rancid, and the salmon was the wrong color. Even the California roll, something nearly impossible to screw up was bad. The rice tasted strange and the avocado was weird. I couldn't finish most of it, not worth the $14 plate price. If you go to Asiana, DO NOT get the sushi. Stick to their name sake and get some noodles.

Amazing vegetarian sushi ....always delighted with my food! The tall waiter with the dark hair is so friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend! The interior is nothing to look at, but the food makes it worthwhile!!!

I have eaten here a couple times, but it was a long time ago, and it was always pretty good. I had the WORST food last night though... so disappointed. I ordered takeout, they told me it would be 15 minutes and I ended up having to wait at least 25 minutes for the order. My husband ordered the tom yum soup and said it was way too salty. I ordered the japanese curry which was supposed to come with miso soup, and it wasn't until I got home with my order that I discovered the soup wasn't in the bag. The curry tasted ok but it had about 2 pieces of each vegetable in it and maybe a tablespoon of peas. There was WAY too much sauce for the measly scoop of rice on the plate. Also, I've ordered this before and the shrimp were never fried... this plate came with a pile of tasteless fried shrimp. I took four bites and didn't want any more. Not going back!
(1)Lia B.
Amazing and delicious selection of vegan sushi and noodle dishes! We shared a veggie soup entree and the 24 piece vegan sushi, which included sweet potato maki, avocado cucumber maki, and 8 pieces of chefs choice. The rolls were thoughtfully created and flavorful. We were 100% satisfied with our food, and the staff were friendly and attentive. If I lived in the area I would become a regular!
(5)Larson E.
Went for dinner tonight and it was really good! I ordered Ton Katsu Bento, and it was made perfectly and had great sides with it. I'm eager to go back again soon! My friends' food wasn't quite as good, but all around a very good meal. Price is a bit on the higher side, but not outrageously so, especially given the location on Church St. I have to agree with other reviewers, if this was not in Burlington, but rather in Boston or NYC, it'd only be a 3 star kind of place, but the absence of good asian cuisine in VT bumps this place up a notch.
(4)Julie C.
This place was the one place that didn't have a long wait on valentines day evening. Not that i was celebrating but I was pretty hungry! This is a small place downstairs and all the table were filled with groups and couples. BF & I were lucky enough to score an open table as soon as we walked in. the place looked really busy but they are able to turn tables quick here as most patrons did not linger after their meals. They serve noodles here and if you have been to Wagamama, this is like 10x betters. You can make your own, picking the noodles, broth and filling ( meats , tofu, or veggies) or you can pick one from the others they offer. They have many different apps ranging from egg rolls, fried chicken, to various salads like seaweed or jellfyfish. the jellyfish saad we got wasnt that big and you can share it but very small portions even with 2 ppl. bf got the duck soup and that was really good. broth was tasty. i made my own with this coconut milk based soup and it was soo good, compared to Wagamama, its a run for their money. They have many different kinds of teas here, from oolong, green , and my fave chysanthemum. they are served in a french press and if enough for 2 or 3 ppl. the service here is excellent. attentive and courteous. overall, a great place to try if you are in the mood for noodles.

Great noodles reasonable prices and excellent service.

Reviewing this place is actually pretty hard. I feel that half the stars Asiana got from me is due to the fact that it's in Burlington, VT. If this place was in Boston, New York, or, God forbid, San Francisco I wouldn't even think about going back. But since it's in Vermont I feel like I have to go much easier on it. First of all, the food at Asiana is good. There's no denying that. Their menu is a fusion of major East Asian styles and they have some pretty creative choices. I had a pineapple soft shell crab curry and it was absolutely wonderful. My date got some rice bowl with vegetables and peanut sauce and although it didn't look super-appetizing to me I imagine that people who like lighter flavors and vegetables (remember, I'm the guy who wants curry and crab) would really enjoy it. She certainly did. Our appetizer, a Vietnamese spicy sausage, was also really good. Certainly on the top shelf of Vietnamese food in Vermont. Of course, that's not very hard to achieve. This place is also trying to be fancy. Things come in stylish bowls that are much too large for the food contained within and nice, not-$2-a-dozen chopsticks of regulars line the walls. Everything in the place came from Ikea but it's clear that they use the expensive $5-a-plate Ikea sets and not the $1 plates I have at home. They try. It doesn't work. It just doesn't feel remotely "upscale" with actual nice places like Sweetwaters nearby. The problem is that their prices are also pretty fancy. My soft shell crab was actually the very reasonably priced as it was in the ~$25 range and, well, it's really good crab. Ramen costs something like $15 a bowl (compared to the normal $5 to $10 bowls in normal cities) and my date's rice bowl was similarly priced. On the one hand, $15 bowls of ramen is like highway robbery. On the other, there aren't really that many places in Vermont where you can get good ramen and so $15 a bowl of good ramen---not that I had any ramen there, but extrapolating from what I had it should be good---is perhaps preferable to a $10 bowl of crappy ramen. The thing that was really got to me was the Chef Special Chinatown Rice Bowl that costs $17. It's basically BBQ pork, chicken and some veggies in an oversized bowl with some rice. Considering that this costs about $5 everywhere it does seem a little ridiculous---even with the VT-has-very-little-good-Chinese-food tax tripling the price is just crazy. This is why even with Green Mountain lenses on I cannot give this place five stars. Anyway, I was really, really happy with my visit since with Vermont standards this place is amazing. For Burlington the prices are somewhat reasonable and I was glad to have found this place down in a basement on Church St. With normal Asian food standards this place is pretty good too, just not remotely worth the price.

This place is a gem. It's right on church street. Upon entering the door you take a flight of stairs down into the restaurant. Cute Japanese atmosphere. Very clean. Staff was friendly. And the food was very tasty!!! I loved how much food you got and how it was served in fun, large bowls. Many noodle dishes to choose from as well as sushi, Katsu, etc. The food was fantastic and I will be back!!
(5)J S.
Lunch special beef bulgogi is excellent. Thai beef noodle and 5 spice chicken soups are very good. We never go for sushi there but I also heard good things. Although for sushi we normally would go to their big sister restaurant Asiana House.

Welp, upon arrival the nice hostess/waitress cheerfully led us to our table outside, letting us know it's kind of warm inside, which was nice. As we walked towards the tables I noticed the tables that seat 4 are well, tables. And the tables that seat two are old wobbly looking water worn card tables. I mentioned this and the woman demonstrated the stability of the table a couple of times sitting down, then standing up again, adjusting the table, which made me feel a little uncomfortable but the table was fine as she said. Next a blonde waitress came up to take our drink order. I didn't notice the drink menu and didn't want to have her wait while I looked so I said I didn't want to make her wait, I wasn't familiar with any of the drinks and it might take a while. She said she wanted to save herself a trip down the stairs and she'd recommend something. I didn't even know if I wanted a drink for sure so that bothered me. I ordered the vegetarian hot pot, which was meh.... I didn't love it. There was nothing wrong with it though. I will not go back but would really like to find a good local noodle place.....

This was a lovely experience! I did takeout during the height of lunch-time, and the staff were lovely, extremely nice without being at all weird or fake (which is amazing and remarkable!) - and the sushi I got was pretty durn fantastic - the salmon and the yellowtail in particular, but all tasted fresh and had good texture and presentation. I was so impressed with the staff (obv!) that the food was an encore to a brilliant performance - - all in all, somewhere I will immediately revisit next time I am in Burlington for a comfortable and delicious meal! More detail - the sushi (nigiri) came with a nice salad, small but not insignificant - and a nice helping of quality ginger, yum yum. The salmon was buttery deliciousness, some of the best I've had (including forays into the San Fran sushi-world) - although I hope to seek ever better, of course! I hope to be back soon for a sit-down, the extensive menu beckons...

Wonderful food for a small unassuming place. Crowded if you can get a table but well worth the wait.

I have eaten here once but visited many times. The reason I have only eaten once is because two other times the serve was ridiously slow or person gave me a menu and never came back. The food is very good and fresh.

i stumbled into this place from a cold night of walking around on church street. it was the only place that was open late on a weekday and it was a decent choice. with the name of the place this place is famous for noodles. But i tried something else, i had the panang curry beef stew. It wasnt bad but it could had been better. It was a great effort for where i was. The beef was a little over cooked and tough and i didnt taste the curry at all, it was really hidden. The service was great though, i walked it and they brought a heater over for me tot o keep warm. The portions are HUGE for the price which was great cause I think I was starving. I would def give this place another try.

I love the idea of an Asian noodle place that serves all different types of noodle dishes in a place like Burlington. It doesn't matter what you are craving because they will most likely have it on their menu. It was also the only place that wasn't packed with an hour-long wait for dinner on Church street so grabbing a quick dinner was convenient. I ordered the Saigon lemongrass noodles with chicken. Like my previous dinner at Sakura down the street, I got my meal unmixed. The chicken was on top of the slim glass noodles with the side vegetables and condiments organized around it. I liked the flavor of the chicken with the noodles, but the sauce was way too gritty. It was like chewing on sand, and that made it very unappealing. A lot of the leafy herbs were also left whole: the mint, cilantro, and basil. All in all, dinner was good, but the dish could have been made better. Still, I could see myself returning to this place to fulfill all my noodle cravings.
(3)Chica B.
I went alone on a rainy saturday only about an hour after they opened, and about half of the tables were available but they filled up FAST as I sat there waiting for my meal. The waitress seemed sort of detached and unhappy. I had to ask for more water, I had to ask for a utensil, I had to ask for more tea... etc... It also took quite a while for my lunch to come even though the place was half empty when I ordered. Nevertheless the food was really yummy and I will go back soon, maybe even tomorrow! I hope the waitress is in a better mood because that's really the only thing that truly detracted from the experience. Oh -- and hey noodle shop owner, could you put a hook on the ladies' bathroom door? I had no where to hang my coat and purse when I went to go pee. Thanks! :)
(4)Blaise F.
I came here with 8 people and everyone was very happy with his/her dish. The food was not too salty (like wagamama for example) and there was a real variety in tastes and spices. The papaya salad was very interesting - it's always nice to go to a place where you can get a big bowl of really good noodle soup and creative dishes like the papaya salad. They're just starting a program where you regulars can keep a pair of special chopsticks on the wall - looks really pretty. Just ask them about the modern art on their wall and they'll explain!
(4)Ann S.
I would give this restaurant between 3- 3.5. The service has much room for improvement. Their soups are Super delicious, the best on a wet and cold day. The sushi is so so. It is the service man!
(3)Kimberlee M.
This is a pleasant find on Church Street. Dinner for two suggestion...each get 1-2 rolls and then split soup. Soup is huge and yummy. I'm a fan of the curry!

I don not think I will go back. The servers were very nice, but nobody took our name when we came in the door which seemed odd to me. We waited 20minutes maybe less for a table. The edamame was great and the fried tofu and tempeh appetizer was really good. My udon noodles were bland with a very hot spicy after effect. I got vegetables and tofu in the bowl and they were not seasoned and the broth added nothing. I dipped my veggies in the appetizer's dipping sauce or put soy sauce on them. I would not get that again. I did not like my mom's noodles, she did but felt sick later ( not food poisoning, but too much oil on the noodles). The little salad garnish they serve on the side of appetizers and cold entrees was good, but there is like a quarter of a cup of it. Maybe if I had ordered sushi or teriyaki it would have been a better experience, those meals looked good. I would not go there again, but I had never had hot noodles like that before so maybe it was me.

I loved it! We sat outside during a busy lunch time and the service was great. The menu was extensive and it was hard to choose what to get. The food itself was wonderful. I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in Burlington.

the tom kar is amazing. their sushi is pretty mediocre. their cargo noodle soups have always done well by me.

I went with a party of about 10 other people and we all enjoyed it. It took longer than it should have for the waitress to take our orders but once done, the food was out in good time, the food was excellent, and the portions were plentiful. I'd go back.

I really wanted to like this place, but sadly it was the one blemish on our trip to Burlington. It was pretty busy on a Saturday night, but there were a couple of tables that emptied right as we got there. For some reason, we ended up right in front of the bathroom. Ok, no biggie...I can roll with it. Our waitress took quite a while to come over, but seemed to stop at the table next to us twice in the same period of time (maybe they were regulars?). The food was unfortunately not up to par. My gf had one of the beef noodle soups, and it had huge chunks of steak that no human could possibly eat with chopsticks (ok, maybe that's a bit dramatic...but picture a whole steak cut into about 4 pieces and that's what it looked like). My meal was a disaster, I ordered the beef teryaki salad. I only ate a few of the pieces of teryaki because they were so cold, chewy, and covered in so much sauce that i could barely tasty the beef (also, huge pieces again). On their own, none of these things are really enough to turn me off about a restaurant.....but it just all came together as a pretty disappointing experience. One bright spot was that the hot sake was pretty good, although a pretty small serving for the price.

Tasty soups, great sushi rolls, what more can you ask for.

I am absolutely in love with the food here. As a vegetarian, I would say it is the best in Burlington. However, I have to give it three stars because the service is atrocious. My fiancee and I brave this place regardless because the food is so excellent, however the following is a typical example of their lackluster service. Let me preface this by saying that I have been a waitress several times in my life, including in Burlington, so I have an appreciation and high tolerance for overworked servers, but not for rude servers. I always tip at least 20% no matter what, therefore it takes a lot for me to be disgusted with service. So, let me get on with it... when you walk into the restaurant, no one acknowledges you for quite some time. When you finally get a table, you sit there waiting, and when the server finally comes, you are usually ready to place your entire order. We ordered a bottle of wine that arrived warm, but our server disappeared for a long time so we couldn't say anything about it. While ordering the wine, we also ordered an appetizer and two entrees. We got the appetizer, were not checked on, finished the appetizer and got the entrees. The appetizer plates were never removed from our table and our waters were empty most of the meal. We weren't even halfway through our entrees when the server dropped the check. I was shocked by this. Incredibly, incredibly rude. We weren't dilly dallying and we weren't there close to closing. You don't give this poor level of service when charging in the $20's for entrees. A very important part of waiting tables is checking back to see if everything is ok. This is not done at Asiana Noodle Shop. The worst part is our server wasn't even busy. This is an example of one bad experience, but the list goes on. The service is consistently a disaster here, yet we will always come back because of the amazing food (although we order for pick up now). I wonder where the manager is throughout all of this bad service? Owners, anyone paying attention? Please get these servers some back servers so they can do their jobs better!

We ate at Asiana today in the mid afternoon (call it early dinner or late lunch - the restaurant is open 11:30 to 10 or 11pm) and the experience was great. The food, as described in other reviews, is fresh, interesting and delicious. The space is small but clean and menu is extensive. We sampled 3 different soups, union pasta sauteed noodles, maki rolls and the beef panang stew. As soon as we tasted the soups we knew the meal would be outstanding. The service was fine; over the course of our meal we were tended seamlessly by 3 different staffers. All were friendly and efficient. The dishes are substantial for the price - we took away lunch for tomorrow. We didn't have any of the create your own broth soups but witnessed several being served and they are HUGE. If service has been an issue for others, it was not today. We loved it and have absolutely no complaints. Would recommend it and by writing this guess we have.

I agree with many of the reviews already posted. The quality of the food, while not nearly as good as you would find in NYC or San Francisco, is fine. The problem is the service. On my vist the waitstaff were attentive but not friendly. Two of our meals came out after about 30 minutes, two more came out 10 minutes later and the last meal 10 minutes after that. Also, they seem to have charged my credit card for my meal at $90 and again for $103! Now I have to go through the hassle of calling them and disputing the second charge...ugh.

Yesterday When I got back from NYC, I wanted to eat something good and delicious so me and my friends was walking up and down church street and I wanted to at Japanese sushi but it wasn't going open until 5pm and our meter was running so I decided let try this place out. The menu was mix of Japanese, Thai, Chinese and other asian culture. I order the japanese ramien, my friend order the roasted duck noodle soup and his roommate order the crab rolls. Everything was pretty expensive because I never hear of a $15 dollar ramein noodle beside David Chang $18 bowl but that is David Chang and I wouldn't mind eating his. Anyway my soup was pretty decent, it has a few typical stuff like corn, seaweed, eggs but the pork just wasn't good at all. The duck soup came and look ok but not for a $15 dollar because their roast duck was lacking any real meat. The service was pretty dam slow and after I took table service so i didn't say anything but the service plan suck. At the end I had to go up to our waiter to pay our bill but it took his forever to give us the change back. Maybe I am expected too much from a asian restaurant after I go to NYC but I thought great customer service belong everywhere even in a small state like Vermont.

We were looking for a meal before a night out on the town and came across Asiana on Church Street. The restaurant exceeded our expectations in every respect. Don't be put off by the subterranean location. The decor is lovely, the service incredibly helpful and the food absolutely delicious! I look forward to returning on my next visit to Burlington.

Yes yes yes! After a disappointing lunch at a very well-known Burlington tap and grill, this dinner was SUCH a morale saver! For what it lacks in space, it makes up for in flavor and service. The chefs were slammed, however they still managed to make the occasional googley eyes at our super tired and hungry 17 month old. Both cargo noodle dishes (miso & hot and sour) were nothing short of BEAUTIFUL and bountiful. We would go here again in a heartbeat. And dinner here was 2/3 of the price for lunch at the aforementioned tap and grill ripoff. Bottom line: delicious, affordable, quirky and family-friendly. That's a win in my book! PS - Try the golden rolls and the egg fried rice!
(5)Neha K.
Great food but the service was mediocre. They were super busy so they forgot to bring out our appetizers and dishes!

I've come twice, the first time for sushi and the second for the Happy Hour menu. My first time, I ordered a big sushi roll and wasn't impressed at all. The waiter then took way too long to bring my food for me to be excited about going back. My second time here, I ordered off the Happy Hour menu and found it to have great value. The decor isn't anything special, but it's a very laid back and casual atmosphere. The atmosphere is lively. The service was great, except the water accidentally charged me the regular price for one of my orders instead of the happy hour one. I corrected her and she quickly changed it so just make sure you check the prices! Now let's talk about the food: #Udon noodle soup - amazing on a cold day, had bok choy which is delicious, noodles were slippery and chewy, soup base was nicely flavored and just about right. For $5, it was great value since it was a nice sized bowl. The chef really nailed the soup base. #Spicy tuna roll - only $4 from the happy hour menu. I really liked the mayo sauce on top and the tuna tasted good, but the sushi rice was on the dry side and that was a disappointment for me. #Sweet potato tempura roll - only $3 from the happy hour menu. Not the best I had but not the worst. I wish there was more crunch. Overall, the sushi is alright and I would recommend the noodles because the broth was delicious. Happy hour is great value. I would go again to try more noodles. I think I would go to Asiana House for sushi.
(3)Jaclyn G.
Yum!!! A noodle menu and a totally separate sushi menu. Tons of choices and everything we had was delicious. Kind of a divvy location but very friendly service and great food. I brought my 3 young kids who all chowed down on udon. My only complaint is it doesn't seem to be handicapped accessible and my son has a wheelchair. We carried him down the stairs to make it easy for us but in a few years when he's heavier this will be tough.

Since moving to the Burlington area, my boyfriend and I have been missing his family's Asian style home cooked meals. He was not passed on the good cooking gene. We've stopped here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed our experience. He absolutely loved the Korean BBQ ribs, while I had some fresh delicious sushi. We received a gift card for Christmas, so we will be back soon. I think we found the place to go when we are missing a home cooked meal but are too far from home.
(4)S A.
Had the spicy miso ramen last night, it lived up to its name! Tonight having the green papaya salad and Korean bbq short ribs on rice. It gets busy so recommend reservations, though we were able to get in without it.
(4)Chad F.
If you like a good colon cleanse and oily food this is the spot. Nobody in our group (3) had sushi we did have cooked items and all 3 of us 20 minutes later where in the bathroom. All 3 of us did not have the same to eat. Maybe it was an off night. I will say the restaurant did have a steady crowd inside downstairs and up outside on the patio. You have been warned. I would also suggest making sure you are in close proximity to a bathroom.
(3)John W.
What a wonderful little place. We were in the mood for sushi so I went onto Yelp and found the Asiana. The sushi is some of the best I have ever tasted. Very good! My date and I had the Sexy Maki, Coconut Maki and soup. The sushi was very fresh...you had an amazing feeling after eating it. Very energetic feeling. This is a good sign. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean and tidy. They also helped with giving us directions for the next leg of our tour. I highly recommend it for fresh, good sushi that won't break the bank. Check it out if you are in Burlington, VT.

Tucked away between two stores, I could barely see the entrance to this establishment as I was walking down Church street. Immediately as you walk in, there are stairs leading to a room downstairs (not very accommodating or physical disability friendly). Very creative fusion dishes and noodle bowls, presented in a very professional and beautiful manner; the portions were also very generous. The prices are pretty high up there, though. If you are looking for pho or anything or the sort, they do not really have it here.
(3)Katharine B.
It's a tiny, little place with fans everywhere and chairs that don't match, but the soup bowls are massive! We were there on a bitterly cold day but not surprisingly, there was a constant influx of customers even at a time that would normally be between meals (2pm). I ordered the Malaysian Curry Soup with Seafood, the the broth was perfect - very flavorful yet not overpowering for the rest of the dish, the seafood was surprisingly varied, and it was full of a bunch of veggies to boot. My husband ordered the Emperor's Soup. This had a much more delicate flavor, but is absolutely packed with what seems like every type of protein that comes from the kitchen (lobster, pork, shrimp, and dumplings, just to name a few). It also had multiple mushrooms, bok choy, and came with a side of fried rice, which he mixed in to the soup (whether he was supposed to or not it was yummy). While the prices might be a bit high for a bowl of soup, you could easily end up with a solid two servings of leftovers to take home. It was absolutely perfect on a cold day, and we'll definitely be back.

Originally written and posted on a duplicate profile on 4/2/2011: The food is good here. They make decent sushi and have excellent noodles (more importantly they know how to make a broth). The service is just poor. There is one waitress we have had on a prior visit and tonight. She always seems to forget our order and by the time you realize how long you have waited, she feeds some BS blaming the kitchen for the delay. Tonight she told us our app aged dashi tofu was late because the fried tofu was soggy. In other words she is telling us the kitchen screwed up tofu! WTF! After getting the dish we realized that it wasn't the kitchen's fault; the waitress was a dope and let the first order disintegrate in the broth cause she forgot it. Embarrassed she tried ushering us out, asking me if I was ready to pack my meal out and I was in the middle of eating!! I like eating here but the service is horrible.

Ate alone on a three day visit to town. Incredible tofu yellow curry in a giant bowl with ladel to match. Great glass of Sauvignon. Friendly, brisk service. Will go back. Wonderful, wonderful food.

This place has a variety of noodles! We went on a Saturday night and the wait wasn't that long! I ordered noodles from the cargo section where picked chicken, sakiyaki broth, and yellow noodles. The portion was huge! It was really good! Soup was nice and hot! I could barely finished it! My boyfriend ordered a bento box and he really liked his! In my opinion, this place was a good place to eat if you're craving for some noodles! The waiting wasn't too bad and costumer service was good. I'm giving this a 4 because there is always some room for improvement!

Third time coming here and I wondered why I didn't just go to Asiana instead of Asiana Noodle. But my friend insisted so Asiana Noodle it was. The menu variety is a bit boring. I thought I'd order the Vegetable Makimono but what a mistake that was. It was so bland I was drowning my pieces in soy sauce, and then it was too salty. The tempura on the pieces, especially the sweet potato, wasn't done well. However my friend seemed to like her meal and especially the dessert. She got the ever classic Green Tea Fried Ice Cream (it's not on the dessert menu. You have to specifically order it). I got a few bites of that since I'm a sucker for Green Tea anything really and it wasn't bad. The fried batter was timed well, the ice cream was solid and slightly bitter, the way it should be. If you are to frequent this place, I suggest ordering one of their noodle bowls and the Green Tea Fried Ice Cream. Sushi isn't worth it here.

My favorite place to eat in the greater Burlington area without a doubt. Although at times the servers may become a little overwhelmed and frustrated because of how quickly this restaurant can fill up the food is always fantastic and fresh across the board. By far the best sushi restaurant in Chittenden County, I highly recommend visiting Asian Noodle House for their sushi happy hour every weekday from 3pm to 6pm, for amazing prices on maki and appetizers!
(4)Joanne H.
Service is a little choppy but if you have an eager stomach paired with the patience of a nun, the food will not disappoint! Seems like everything is cooked to order and the food is delicious! Food is very comparable to Japanese cuisine back home in Hawaii!
(4)Jennifer N.
Hands down favorite restaurant on church street! Every cart noodle bowl is to die for and HUGE. They're the ticket to a sick day. The lemon grass cold noodles are a hidden gem. And if you're thinking about sushi....just go to the Asiana sushi house down the street. The noodles is where it's really at here.

This is the most authentic sushi restaurant I've found in Burlington. I'm originally from Vancouver in British Columbia, so I generally have sushi two or three times a week at home so I like to think I know sushi fairly well. The service isn't the most friendly but it's very efficient and quick, and I can't say enough about the how good the sushi is. A good measure of a sushi restaurant is actually the quality of the rice, and it's top notch here. Overall, it's an authentic sushi restaurant, complete with a bit of a stuffy and loud atmosphere, chef's working in an open sushi bar, and quick and efficient service.
(5)Phil D.
I've been here over a dozen times over the years. When they first opened - it was the bomb! The sushi was fresh, the noodle dishes were great, bento boxes were amazing, and the service was good. However the last three times that I have eaten here, I have been underwhelmed. The service was lacking and not very professional. The sushi tasted not so fresh, even a bit off. The edamame was weak and tasted microwaved. The sad part about our last meal here was the best thing was the miso soup. I do enjoy sitting outside for lunch in the summer. The lunch prices are quite a value for the sushi platters and bento boxes. The dinner prices are reasonable as well. I just wasn't impressed the last few times and was a bit let down. Hopefully they will get their food and service game back up to par.
(3)John K.
Another favorite place for lunch. I am addicted to their cargo noodle bowls. I get the udon noodles, Tom yum broth, add chicken and pork dumplings. Heaven in a bowl. It's loaded with vegetables as well. Cool little mushrooms and bok choy, all spicy and yummy. My wife always gets the Bim Bim bop. Comes out in a sizzling stone bowl. Their sushi is a great deal as well. One of the only places I can get toro. Sometimes the service is slow, but whatever. Most times it's fine.
(4)Vinnah L.
Hands down the best Sushi/Asian fusion restaurant I've ever been to! Service was quick and attentive despite the small staff and busy dinner time rush. Food is DELICIOUS, definitely beats the price AND quality of Kotos. Definitely will be coming back.. A lot. :D
(5)Caitlin H.
This place was delicious! Was a bit wary about the service after reading other Yelp reviews, but our server was very friendly and the wait wasn't that long. We went for an early lunch on a Saturday, and while we didn't have to wait the place filled up rather quickly. The place is small and cramped, but the food is definitely worth it. I got the beef Ramen soup and it was delicious. The bowl was huge, and the broth was meaty and flavorful without being overly salty. The noodles were perfectly done, great texture and not soggy. The beef was nothing special- added good flavor but was a bit overdone, I would probably try a different protein on my next visit. I devoured the whole thing but it could easily be split among two people. I would eat here all the time if we lived in Burlington!
(5)Dad C.
Great serive.....noodles extremely overcooked. ..i had Emporers pot......sushi was fishy.....like days old....wife had short ribs........i guess this is a college spot

We came here twice on our weekend trip. First time we ordered the noodle bowls which were amazing. I can't remember the names of them. We also had the fire maki roll, which was really really good. Second night I got the crazy roll and it is crazy! It is good but the crab salad on top is rich. I could barely finish the roll. I usually get two rolls, and I am glad I didn't this time. The service isn't great so if you are in a rush you might want to go somewhere else. Everyone was nice just a little unorganized. We will come back.
(4)Honi K.
I was visiting my son at UVM and he brought me here. Even though it's a tiny place, the menu is big with big flavors! My son created his own noodle soup bowl with a wonderful spicy beef base that was large enough for his lunch the next day. I had the Volcano noodle which was accompanied by delicious sashimi and beautiful vegetables . It's easy to miss this little gem on Church St. due to it's tiny sign but make the effort to find it and go enjoy!
(4)Kiersten H.
The food is incredible. It's so good I keep going back regardless of the consistently terrible service. If you want good service, go when it is empty, otherwise don't go if your stomach is completely empty. While it often/almost always takes a while to get your food, it is always worth it. Soooo delicious. I had seaweed salad and then shared the sushi boat for one and a seafood dragon with my dad and it was plenty of food.
(4)R V.
Food here was decent. I got the bento box which was very filling. The chicken teriyaki was spot on while the salads served on the side were so-so. Overall I enjoyed it.
(4)Conrad T.
Had the loudest customer ever, talking about the Smurfs. Seriously. Forever. Once he left, the place was great and the food seemed to taste better. It's a bit cramped so get there early.
(5)Deborah Z.
Went with my family of five and we all enjoyed it. The "Cargo Noodle" dish was great and suited to a wide variety of tastes - you pick your own noodles, protein, and broth. I also had the sake mojito which was terrific. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area.
(4)RJ K.
I went back to Asiana last week and had the sushi. It was amazing. The server answered all my questions and then, after about 10 minutes, she returned with a delicious all-veggie nori roll with brown rice. I was hungry but not famished, and so the portion size was perfect. I always knew the noodles and curry dishes were great; now I know the sushi is super good too.
(4)Jonathan L.
This little unassuming place is a hidden gem in downtown Burlington! The "sushi boat" sets the local standard for quality, quantity and presentation. The food is fresh, delicious and expertly prepared. Loved it. Will be back.
(3)Tommy G.
While the menu or menu(s) are incredibly confusing, i think there is a lot of good to offer from this restaurant. I ordered the Massiman curry w/ rice and it was great. Plenty of gluten free options.
(4)Jae L.
It would be so nice if this were a good restaurant. Some of the food is quite tasty, but... I don't know. I may have to do just take-out from now on. The first thing I noticed on my initial visit was that the inside was smelly, like cleaner. Wiped off with a musty, old rag. Ugh. The second time was the same, so we ate outside on one of the rather ghetto tables. The bulgogi bento was okay -- of the two places you can get Korean bulgogi around here, this is hands-down the better one. But for $14.95, I doubt I will come back for this, one of my favorite dishes of all time. Isn't that sad? They had decent miso soup, generous with the seaweed and tofu, and the scallions were fresh. It was not too salty -- but decent miso soup is not a reason for coming back. My mom ordered the pretty neat "Make-your-own" noodle soup option for $10.95. She ordered sukiayaki broth with beef, and clear green-bean noodle. Big portion, and she seemed to love it, but I was not blown away. My dinner dish on my next visit did blow me away. I saw a fellow diner eating it with gusto, and I had to ask her. It smelled so good, and it looked like my much beloved dan-dan noodles. They call it Union Pasta ($11.95), which comes with a sesame-peanut sauce (much like dan-dan), mixed veggies (snap peas, broccoli, carrots, cucumbers) bean sprouts and scallion. Really addictively tasty. ($12.95with shrimp) The edamame appetizer was also good -- nice and salty, not overcooked. We also ordered the oyster maki-- fried oyster, spicy mayo, to ikon, scallion, topped with cucumber and avocado ($15.95). Now, I love fried oysters more than I love bulgogi. I love fried oysters more than I love most things. I really hoped to love this maki. But you couldn't taste the oysterness of this at all. So sad. It was an okay maki, but not an oyster maki, and certainly not worth nearly 16 buckaroos. Finally, I have to comment on our server outside. I'd like to think she actaully has a hearing impairment. When she completely ignored us both times we asked for menus, we tried complimenting her tatoos as she walked by. No response. Then she took two menus from the people next to us...and *took them inside*! She could have just spun around and handed them to us! That wasn't the end of her inability to respond to me and my husband. It got so bad that other diners started commenting on it and making jokes -- saying maybe she has a hearing disorder that makes her unable to hear the pitch of my voice? Maybe she didn't like my shirt? (a plain white tank top.) Maybe she had a thing against my race, but this seems unlikely, because then why would she be working at an Asian noodle shop? Maybe she is just in the wrong profession? Maybe I was just in the wrong restaurant. Love the Union Noodles, but I'm sure it is just as good when it is take-out. I hate to patronize a place with such bad service and smelly interior, but if I really crave it, well... Maybe I will just make dan-dan noodles.
(2)Jasper W.
Amazing shshi and noodles! But it's a little expensive, and they give you lots of food that people cannot even finish in one time! Maybe that's very Japanese style. One thing I don't like is that their tables are too close to each other, and it's not that comfortable to sit there.
(4)Kristen H.
I've actually been here several times. My husband and I agree that this place has the best sushi in the area by far. It's a small place but that definitely doesn't bother me. Their spicy tuna roll is my favorite and we get one every time. Their soups are pretty good here too and you get a huge bowl. The prices are pretty reasonable as well.
(4)David H.
What a great find. I have been curious for years and finally tried them. The sushi is as good as it gets. I don't know how they can have such fresh seafood here on Vermont's west coast! Wait staff is very friendly. A very cozy and welcoming place.
(5)Cindy F.
A hidden gem! The street advertisement & menu board don't do it justice. A regular saw us looking at the menu & coaxed us in. The place sits 30 at most. The smell as you walk downstairs tells you its going to be good. We ordered the shredded sweet potatoes as an appetizer. Then we had cold noodles w/ soft shell crab & hot udon noodles w/ beef & Tom Yum broth. Good portions & the bill was the right price. It was a delight for my taste buds! I am definitely making this a favorite and bookmarking it so I never forget where to go for good food on cold & rainy days. It's places like this & Woo Hops in NYC that are a treat to discover and add to your personal rotation of restaurants.
(5)Joseph J.
Super fast and super delicious. Well, not SUPER fast. But not slow. And ridiculously home-cooking-like.
(5)Jintina S.
This is actually my favorite restaurant in Burlington. I always see reviews about the crappy/slow service, but I have been here more times then I can count and have never had a problem. I was here yesterday and they were really busy and it took a bit for our appetizer to come out so they brought us miso soup while we waited. Not bad at all. Their menu is quite extensive and can be overwhelming for the new customer. here are a few suggestions: Their sushi rolls are amazing. The rolls have the same outstanding quality as Asiana House. The Sexy Maki and the White Tiger Maki are just 2 of my favorite. The soups are soooo good! The Thai Beef, Five Spice Chicken, and the BBQ Duck noodle soups are absolutely delicious. My mouth is actually watering right now just thinking of them. They also have a build-your-own style soup or noodle dish. You get to pick your type of noodle, protein and sauce or broth depending on the type of dish. The sukiyaki broth is really good for the cargo soups and I've had the lemon caper, basil pesto and Thai creamy dressing for the noodle dishes and loved them all. I could honestly eat here everyday.

On my Sunday drive back from a bachelor's party in Montreal with a particularly bad case of the Fear, a friend and I took exile in this nice basement bunker of a noodle shop. They had a sushi list and salad options, but I needed to revitalize my soul so I went straight to the noodle menu. They have a nice selection of 6 different broths you can choose from, along with a selection of meats, vegetables, or tofu. The noodles come in almost offensively large bowls (about the size of a party punch bowl). Although I was slightly self-conscious about my ability to eat noodles with chopsticks while having the shakes, the noodles were delicious, the tom yum broth was delicious, and I left the restaurant feeling like a person again. As a bonus, this place wins the award for Coolest Bathroom Faucet (Hole-in-the-Wall category). This did not impact the rating, but it does show class. Well done, Asiana.
(5)Celeste R.
A perfect lunch! Crazy Mountain Roll was amazing and the Udon Side Bowl was plenty for us to share. That and the Tuna Avocado Salad was more than enough for my daughter and me. Would go again in a New York minute!
(4)Michael S.
Good food. Friendly and efficient service. A very pleasant experience in an otherwise cheesy tourist trap location.
(4)Jane D.
I enjoyed this place. The wait was reasonable, the atmosphere was decent considering the size of the place, and above all, good food and service.
(4)Richa K.
I am not sure what happened to this place. It used to be good but now both the service and food are below average. I ordered summer rolls and vegetable hot pot. Summer roll had just lettuce and small pieces of tofu. Menu says vegetable hot pot comes with tofu but it really came with seitan and overcooked vegetables. No body came to check if the food was okay. I did not eat more than half of my food but servers had no questions around it. 2 stars as the sushi boat that my boyfriend ordered was decent, again nothing great but just eatable.
(2)Dan N.
Service is definitely an issue here. We attempted to have dinner again at Asiana last night- a Sunday- at about 5 PM. The waiter handling the outside tables brought us downstairs and seated us in a table next to another party, advising that someone would be with us momentarily. In total, we were one of three tables in the restaurant. We sat for ten minutes without being acknowledged by anyone. After confirming with each other that we hadn't quaffed some kind of invisibility potion, we got up and left. I attempted to flag down the outside waiter to advise him of the problems inside the restaurant, but he was busy with his tables. Bottom line- no food is worth this kind of disorganization and inattention to service.
(1)Beth R.
It was late. I was hungry (but not enough for a full meal because of the hour). I settled on the four-piece vegan sushi appetizer. It was inventive and tasty. Often, I feel vegan sushi options are limited and lack the elegance of the carnivorous versions. Not so here. The presentation was beautiful and equally matched in flavor. And it proved to be just enough food. Additional bonus: the place didn't smell fishy. A great spot right on Church Street.
(4)Micah R.
Food is great. Atmosphere is great. Service is medium horrible. And the card machine stopped working while we were here. Nobodies fault, but you could have let us know what was happening so that we weren't at the table waiting forever for our check.

Anybody who has read "The Five Love Languages" knows that Words of Affirmation are one of the powerful ways in which we love. For me, I had a soup pot so extraordinary, it gets a rare 5 star rating as well as all my affirmation (and admiration) a soup can offer. "Oh, Emperors Bowl, you have flavors only achieved in dreams", "You are The Best", "You have such a great future"! Okay, you get the drift. This soup pot has a variety of seafood, pork and dumpling...A king crab claw, shrimp and pork and a fusion of flavors that put this as what I would say is the best soup broth I have ever tasted. It was listed on their wall and not in the regular menu but I am sure it is a staple item here. Warning: This soup come in a clay pot and is extremely hot...I think it took another 10-15 minutes for it to cool enough for me to eat comfortably and I burned the roof of my mouth impatiently determined to enjoy its extreme flavor profile. Which only proves that sometimes in Love, we have to risk being burnt!

Stopped by Asiana back in October and ordered a noodle from the lunch menu. Can't say it's bad, but just really weird combination of stuff. Noodle comes in some kind of milky soup (Thai coconut most likely) and has all sorts of ingredients that just don't go: carrots, chunky broccoli etc. I am from Asia and have traveled quite a bit. This noodle does not belong to any cuisine. It's a peculiar fusion, Vermont style perhaps... I appreciate the effort to be creative, but no thanks.

Any of their cargo noodle bowls are awesome, but I love the coconut milk Tom Kar one :P

You can tell (and see via the open kitchen) the passion and care the chefs invest in their creations. Always fresh, delicious, and beautiful sushi! Excellent noodle soups, too! All at great prices. There's a weird processes we haven't quite figured out in the kitchen that half the time ends up with us getting our sushi or soups before our appetizer, even though they were ordered at the same time. Other than that, the sometimes rushed service, and the mildly uncomfortable seating, we love it here and visit regularly for both lunch and dinner.

I love asiana noodle. Their soups are amazing and huge. So most likely you will take some to go. The sushi is always pretty fresh and the drinks are really good. I really recommend the tom yum soup. So good and healthy!

We wound up having lunch here while visiting Burlington for the day and receiving a couple recommendations from nearby business owners. It was outstanding. It definitely helps to know your Asian cuisine as the menu is very extensive with options from several different regions. Between the six of us we were able to sample a good bit of different items, and they were all excellent. The sushi was good, noodle soups were LARGE and the other noodle dishes we had also had very large portions. The staff were friendly and thorough and I would definitely go back here.

Four stars only because it is a bit pricey for a noodle shop. Excellent location to sit outside on a warm day and watch church street. The food was good, noodle bowls are huge, and pretty delicious. Golden rolls...skip it, bulgogi was good. Excellent waiter working the outside tables.

Enjoyable noodle dishes here to be sure. I'm not a fan of soup noodles but the sample I tried was better than many others I've tried in the area. Dining inside is a little odd as the restaurant is located in a basement. Much more enjoyable on the Church St open cafe seating. Pretty good food and my friends always enjoy stopping by for business lunch with me.

For being on Church Street, this restaurant is kind of a hidden gem. The menu has more than enough options and the specials are usually out of this world. Compared to the other "Asian Fusion" restaurants in the area, this place has more of actual fusion feel to it. The sushi is always fresh. My partner used to work here as a sushi chef so I know for a fact that it is. If you like coconut milk, do yourself a favor and get the Tom Karr Soup. It is unbelievably good. I would say the only downfall is that the space is too small. Go during non-rush hours for a better experience.
