Beautiful inn, spacious, handsome room with very comfortable bed. Lovely gardens. Breakfast was excellent. Hosts Shelly and Doug were friendly and gave us very helpful tourism advice. Brandon is a sleepy little town, but is nicely located for a variety of day trips.

BEAUTIFUL location! Beautiful gardens and gazebo. Seriously, these gardens are divine. They come straight out of a fairy tale. Amazing short waterfalls and garden sculptures, too. Delicious food. Went to a wedding rehearsal dinner and wedding reception here, and the food was delicious. This location is just amazing inside and out. The owners and staff are very friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

My roommate and I took a "family" vacation with the dog up to Vermont. The Lilac Inn welcomes pets so it was the perfect situation for us to bring Theo somewhere outside Manhattan. They weren't lying about the pet policy - the dog was allowed everywhere on the property. The surprising part was the room was the CLEANEST room I've ever stayed in. The garden is like something out of a fairy tale; green, flowers everywhere, a gazebo, a fountain, a swing, a pond with lily pads... Shelly and Dog are the perfect hosts. They gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was a delightful experience. I really have never felt so welcomed or comfortable when staying somewhere. The inn itself is an absolute treasure. Doug will tell you all about it if you ask :) They even let us peak at the vacant rooms. It would be very difficult to choose a favorite. The inn is kept really clean but feels at home due to the decor. I couldn't help but to imagine getting married in the gazebo, staying in the grand suite, having my wedding party and parents stay in the rooms, and dancing in the ballroom with my husband-to-be. Now I just have to meet him and convince him of a location wedding in Brandon!

Very lovely. Rooms are comfy cozy with antique feel. Good breakfast in the morning and great hospitality. Little pricy but with only 9rooms understandable. Would stay here again.

My wife and I took advantage of their elopement package and tied the knot at this wonderful B&B. The innkeeper and his wife were very friendly. While we were here, the cable was not working (not that it mattered to us), but they offered us free range over their DVD collection. We stayed in the largest room, which has a very large jacuzzi-style tub in the private bath. The room had a new king sized bed from Vermont Tubbs (a very high-end piece), and hardwood floors. Definitely a great place for a romantic getaway.
