My wife and I got married here. It was fantastic and we wouldn't change a thing. Dorothy and Stewart made our stay a pleasure right from the beginning. The inn is gorgeous and cozy. We stayed in the Teddy Roosevelt room, which was beautiful and had every amenity you could ever want. The breakfasts were home cooked and to die for. And most importantly, the ceremony was warm and intimate and conducted with both expert precision and a human touch. Wonderful people and a wonderful place to stay. We will absolutely be back.

We chose the Readmore Inn for our elopement wedding based on a Google search and what we saw on their website, and did we ever luck out! It's even prettier in person than it looks on their site - a gorgeous house, beautifully decorated, and with every little detail you could want taken care of. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, and there are books everywhere (most for sale; some not). I felt like I'd dropped into a little patch of heaven. We stayed in the Theodore Roosevelt room, which was really pretty and had a full bath with a dressing area and walk-in closet. There was also a fireplace where we burnt Duraflame logs provided by Stu on both nights. So cozy! The two-course breakfasts were out of this world and kept us going until dinner time. Dorothy says she has a cookbook coming out and I will be first in line to buy it! She's an amazing and creative cook with a focus on fresh, local food. Dorothy and Stu create a relaxed and charming atmosphere, just a 5 minute walk from the shops and restaurants of Bellows Falls. Before we finished our weekend, we decided we want to go back for our first anniversary, if not before.

This place is ridiculously nice. The house is gorgeous and quiet. It's really a place you can go to for a few days to veg, read, and relax. The couple who owns the place could not be more delightful. And the breakfast....it's truly and expierience. I'm not exaggerating. Here's what I am talking about.... Morning #1. Course one, Vermont cheese plate with five selections of cheese. 1/2 ounce of Vermont maple liquor. Coffee, juice, water. Course two, savory herb French toast with melted Vermont cheddar and an over easy egg. Oh yeah...and BACON. And home fries. Morning #2. Course one, grilled peaches with ginger cream sauce, juice, coffee, water. Course two, sinfully good omelet stuff with homemade herb Boursin, potatoes, homemade bread, and more BACON BABY! All of the food is locally sourced. You also won't need to eat lunch. Nor will you be able to. Looking forward to next trip up!

Me and my boyfriend stayed for one night at the Readmore inn and we loved it. We booked the Cook Room and it was very comfortable. The bed and the sheets were of top quality, and the attention to details was impressive. The owners are very nice people and truly welcoming. The house is charming and very well kept. Sometimes ancient mansions can be dusty and unpleasant but this one is clean and every room has its own charm. We were the only guest that day so we got to have the entire dining room for ourselves. We were welcomed by a fire in a beautiful fireplace and the owners served us a lovely selection of cheeses from Vermont and a delicious french toast with a sunny side egg on top and a side of caramelized bacon and a arugula salad with slices of tomatoes. The coffee was also very good. Wish that all the B&B could be as charming as this one. You really get what you pay for :) Hope to come back one day!

This is the most amazing little B&B that will make you fall in love! Everything is perfect, the bed, the food, the atmosphere! One day of relaxing at the lovely Readmore felt like a week long vacation! The surrounding town is beautiful with a main area a short walk down the street. Art and antiques, beautiful scenery, and fresh air abound! Enjoy the most delicious and unforgettable breakfast you've ever had! Will be back many times!
