This is a great little place when you're looking for something informal and fast. If you have more than four in your party, there's only one table you'll fit at together, otherwise you'll need to split up. The pancake list has lots of variety and is sure to please even the pickiest child. Everything is very affordable. Don't expect a fine dining experience, it's a diner after all. The waitresses are often yelling across the restaurant to each other or to customers. However, they'll also remember you when you come back, and if you're a regular, they'll even remember your order.

This price is cheap, the staff are friendly, and the food was delicious! I would recommend for anyone in the area who wants brunch. They offer a wide variety of breakfast options so it's sure to please the whole group.

first meal at the diner....great breakfast and service. Homefries...poached eggs....sausage...all tasty. Waitresses friendly and efficient..

my wife and I love their breakfasts, never had lunch or dinner. the pancakes and eggs are top notch. I would like to see them use more local farms or food producers, as I think it would just add to the community more!

The only reason I'm just giving 4/5 stars is bc I was hoping more things were made from scratch, especially the corn beef hash. Regardless the taste of my breakfast was amazing. I got the hash eggs Benedict....superb minus the corn beef hash not being home made. The blueberry bacon pancake was also just ridiculously good. Bravo L & M

Even on the busiest of days, we are at a table and eating within a matter of minutes. The food is always cooked perfectly and tastes amazing. The staff is made up of very friendly and personable people. My favorite diner, hands down.

If you're looking for nice friendly service with good home cooking...stop on in! It's a bit of a hole in the wall place, but those are the best kind, right? Our only complaint were the hash browns. They are the kind you get from McDonalds (yucky) and were not very good. I recommend the Lumberjack breakfast (2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and 2 pancakes- $8.99) or the cup of soup (tomato with spinach and tortellini) and 1/2 a sandwich ($5.99) Definitely a great place, you won't leave hungry. Tasty culinary adventures, y'all !!!

Food is great, good portion size and inexpensive. Service is great, very prompt and courteous. The only complaint was it was very cold inside which made it a little uncomfortable.

If u get the hankering for pancakes, then stop by L & M. The food here is spectacular and the prices cannot be beat. What is even better is the super stellar staff who meet you with a smile and fresh coffee. And if your nearby at Christmas, get in line early, cause it will soon stretch down the block. This place has some of the best food ever.

I went here with my dad on a Saturday, the food was delicious, and I had to take a box because I was so full, but it was great, I recommend it if you are in the area

This place is THE BEST EVER! I couldn't believe we ran into a place with stellar service, huge selection of vegetarian options and absolutely delicious food in such a small town! And for so cheap! It has such a wonderful homey diner atmosphere but top notch service and food. I would eat there every day if I didn't live down in Texas! highly recommended.

I'm sorry!! Last time was definitely an issue with timing. This time, I ordered and picked it up right away, instead of trying to arrange a pick up time. Ordered a Reuben with hand cut fries and a chocolate shake. Sandwich is (yes, I'm eating this while I type) really well balanced, the corned beef tastes fresh, and the sauerkraut / thousand island is subtle, but enough that one can tell its there. The sad part about this, for me (as I work right across the street), is that now I will have to resist the temptation to order there everyday...

Went here late on New Year's Day. By the time we got there, they were out of Vermont maple syrup and bacon so we didn't try any of the tantalizing pancake flavors and settled down to have more of a lunch meal. We got a cajun burger cooked to order, a chicken parm sub and started with an order of poutine. Started with coffee which came in big mugs with National Guard logos on the side. Good coffee, cups were kept full. Enjoyed the poutine--what's not to love?-- and the burger was great, a flavor I'm not used to from diner burgers. The sub was also great for what it was, but didn't have that corner pizza joint chicken parm feel to it. No big deal, I'm just always searching for the perfect chicken parm. Buns on both were fresh and we also got a side of coleslaw and some accidental extra fries. Had a nice time sitting in our booth reading off random trivia to each other from the little table menus. A comfy place with good service and no blaring tv (one was on with the sound off) or radio. I'll be back to try out the pancakes and get some of their large variety of ice creams. They have a great menu with a lot of different stuff on it. It was cold as heck outside and our booth was a little chilly, so I don't suggest sitting too near the entrance if it's ten degrees out or cooler, otherwise this place is highly recommended.

Extensive menu, breakfast all day, hand cut fries, home made soups. Good for a diner, they are open until 3, if the door is locked try the back. For some reason the waitress locked the front door at 1:45, cause she "wanted to go home"...

Best breakfast I have probably ever eaten! They had about five varieties of eggs Benedict with homemade holandiase sauce. I had one with bacon and tomato which was awesome. Then I also got a pancake called Chunky Monkey with chocolate chips, bananas and walnuts which was to die for. The pancakes were a perfect combination of firm and fluffy. I wanted to go back and get the recipe. Only drawback was that we were only in town for one day and I couldn't try out more dishes.

Amazing coffee, amazing service, amazing atmosphere and amazing food. (get the pancakes!!) We stopped here on a roadtrip and all three of us agreed it was our favorite food stop of the trip! A true gem of a little diner.

Food was delicious. Service is good. I highly recommend the banana chocolate chip pancakes. They are so moist and full of bananas and chocolate chips, you won't even need syrup! Great breakfast spot.

It's highly unlikely that you will be hungry when leaving this diner. Portions are large, food is good, and the servers are friendly and capable. Try their soups or try their omelets. My biggest complaint is that they are closed on Mondays, and that they show Fox News.

First time for My bride and me, suggested by our daughter, who managed to join us with our grandson. Sunday afternoon in Barre - we were well served by a friendly staff. The space is well used and the black and white photos on the wall suggest a time we knew good diners. This is one. Po'boy shrimp - a little N'Orleans in Barre. My guests breakfasts - interesting pancake choices - banana was a good one, eggs were really over easy. Comfortable. Old school with respect for current dining trends. Maybe a new family tradition?
