We are regulars, it's easy to see why. The food is great, a wonderful brunch buffet on Sundays and the prices are hard to beat!

Our waitress happily led us to a nice sunny booth - for a highway-side restaurant, its decor was great (nice and light with lots of space) - and sat us down. My friend and I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and a turkey club with fries respectively, but the menu was pretty diverse (it ranged from the basic American to seafood, pasta, salad bar, etc). Our sandwiches were great and the fries were perfect. It's a good family restaurant and there were a few groups there, but it wasn't too loud. Jimmy's was a very fulfilling dining experience!

We had a family lunch here just before leaving Williamsburg for a long drive home. We checked Yelp, looking for a place that would suit everyone from our 4 year old to Grandma. The lunch buffet at Jimmy's was a great choice. Pizza for the kids, hot vegetables & 3 different types of meat entrees. The service was a bit slow but the food was great, especially the butternut squash soup. We're only in Williamsburg once or twice a year but we will be back.

I've eaten here too many times to count and it's always pretty good. The clam pasta is one of my favorites and the pizza crust is just thick enough and just crispy enough. The white pizza is delicious but I haven't had any pizza there I haven't liked yet. It's kind of a local place so don't expect anything fancy or stellar service but it's a perfect neighborhood type place.

While running around the area antiquing one Saturday a few weeks ago, we stopped at Jimmy's for a late lunch. Jimmy's, located in Norge,is a perennial favorite of locals in the know in the Williamsburg area. Despite this, we hadn't been here in a good while. The place was practically deserted, it being well past the lunch hour and too early for even the Q-tip early bird crowd to be out. The lunch specials featured a crab cake sandwich promptly ordered by my partner, it being one of her favorite things. I ordered my usual guilty indulgence... a big, juicy specialty burger - and fries! Our server was great - very friendly and solicitous, making sure everything was just so and we were well taken care of. So much so he rated a premium on the usual 20% I tip for simply adequate service. The food was just great - the crab cake large and thick and served on a great roll. My burger was everything I look for - fresh ground burger, grilled to order, dripping with goodness and a nice helping of fries. We were both thrilled with our lunches to the point of talking about little else during and for a while after the meal! Fast forward to this past Saturday, February 14 - Valentine's Day. Responding to a social media invite to see a friend's band play at a local eatery we had never been to, we were turned away due to my stupidity in not making a reservation. On Valentine's Day, right? So here we are, looking for a meal in a decent place on what seems to be the one night EVERYONE goes out to eat. Every place we passed was packed and it looked like we were destined for home and leftovers when I said "Want to try Jimmy's?" Partner agreed and up the road we went. While comfortably busy, Jimmy's was not slam packed this night and we were seated at a nice table immediately by a young lady.who must have been trained by our earlier server - very friendly. Having been well-pleased with my burger from weeks prior, I ordered the same. My partner opted for a Blackened Salmon topped house salad despite being assured the management would happily make her another crab cake sandwich not on the menu that night. Again the food was fresh, well-cooked, served in a timely manner by a very congenial (but not overly so) server. Mission accomplished! I don't want to rave too much and spoil a good thing, but Jimmy's is definitely the place to go for a casual meal at very affordable prices. The quality of the food and service would be hard to match at much pricier places in the area.

I was coming back from a business meeting in Norfolk. Stopped by here for lunch. Was I surprised how good the burger I had was, and the home made chips are some of the best I have had.

I really like the place. Second night in a row, rare rib eye last night, blackened salmon tonight, the wife had chicken parm last night and chicken broccoli Alfredo tonight. The food was great! The prices excellent. Clean, comfortable, and easy to find. The service both nights was top shelf - Jennifer and Amy were both pleasant, attentive, quick, and not over bearing. Give it a try!

Good food at reasonable prices. You can take the whole family out for a well prepared and served meal. Fried seafood was served hot and fresh. The clam chowder was from scatch and enjoyed by all. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to support a local family run establishment.

First time at Jimmy's. Ordered a side of biscuits and gravy for breakfast. It was pretty good. Lots if flavor. The biscuits looked like English muffins and had some flavor of grill grease in then which I didn't like. Service was attentive. Overall I would come back and give them another whirl. Pretty average for today's visit. I will update my review when I visit again.

First time that I have been into Jimmy's in quite sometime. Had a pleasant enough experience. Our server was very friendly, although a little slow at times. Sounded as if she was at the tail end of a double, so she gets some slack for that. The food was in the OK range. My wife and I decided to split a small pizza and a order of spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was firmly in the "edible" realm, nothing out of the ordinary, the pasta was cooked right, the sauce was fine, the meatballs were good, not too heavy, good flavor. The "salad" that came with the spaghetti was your standard handful of bag lettuce, slice of tomato, a few slices of cucumber and some onion...really wish restaurants would cut that out, such a turn off. We both enjoyed the pizza, the crust had good flavor and I like that they used all mozzarella cheese. The right amount of sauce and plenty of veggies on the vegetarian pizza. Price-wise, the pizza was a fairly decent value, I thought the pasta dish was a little over-priced, although I always tend to gripe about Italian places because I always feel like I am getting taken...$14 for box pasta, sauce and a quarter pound of meat ticks me off, I know how much it costs me to make the same dish at home...its like a 10 times mark up!! Rant aside, the value over all was average. Jimmy's is probably a 3 star, middle of the road average restaurant, but they get an extra star from me for all the amazing things that they do around the community. I constantly seem them advertising holiday meals for the less fortunate, among other charitable things they do. This in an of itself gets them an extra star from me and keeps them on my list of places to consider when its time to eat!

Review would have gotten 5 stars if service was the only item being reviewed. Visiting from NY and looked up Jimmy's Oven and Grill as a recommended business from The Great Wolf Lodge. Figured I would give it a chance and take my wife and three kids. Let's start with the positives, Wife and Daughter thought their orders of Seafood Pasta were ok. My son ordered a grilled cheese with fries.... easy to get that one right. Service was very good. Server Megan (I think I spelled that correct) was nice. Now the not so good. Caesar salad gets a pound worth of dressing for half pound of salad! Kids pizza on French bread for my 3 yr old didn't taste like anything. Bland sauce and cheese. Even he complained. I ordered a Surf and Turf with aged rib-eye, rare. Steak was very tough, bland and way overcooked. Fried Oysters were just ok..... Price does not guarantee quality and this meal wasn't cheap by any means. A real shame, I wanted to like this place..... unfortunate.

I went tonight for a fundraiser dinner (for the Historic Triangle Senior Center). I loved it!!! The place is a bit far... (my office is Visiting Angels in Newport News). I got the she-crab soup, seafood treasure (scallops wrapped in bacon, fried oysters, stuffed fried shrimp with a bed of grilled veges, and spoon bread with brandy butter sauce. Everything had a perfect temperature, great taste, fresh, wonderful. I would def go back again... maybe at my next shopping trip at the outlets!!! Thanks Mo for a great experience!!

Excellent food... Mac n cheese great.. Alaska boil great price $21.. service a touch slow but good Coming back from a fun, action packed day at Busch Gardens, we missed the exit I wanted to stop at and grab some grub for the family. We took the following exit and decided to stop off at the next joint that looked half-way good. I was very happy at the end of our meal that I missed the exit, because we thought Jimmy's was a gem to find. It's kind of a mix of pizza joint and seafood restaurant. Which my wife and I took advantage of both. Very causal, there was a young squad of girls from a softball game in there eating when we got seated. My son wanted Mac 'n Cheese, which we ordered for him. It was really, really good! They made it with with penne pasta and REAL shredded cheese. I'm not a big M&C guy, but found myself nibbling on his while cooling it off and waiting for my food. =) They did have a menu with specials and I got the Alaska Boil for $21.00, man I thought it was a steal, once my food came out. I got at least 2 pounds of steamed snow crab legs, a pound of shrimp, lots of mussels, an ear of corn and boiled potato's, plus at the end I got my choice of a ice cream-tini or bread pudding. $21.00! it was a lot of food and all of it was awesome! My wife got a small Greek pizza, that had tomato's and feta cheese on top of the normal cheese. She thought it was pretty good as well. Service was a little slow and we had to wave down our waitress a few time, but she always got us what we needed. Looks like a place trying to up-scale itself with cooler and fancier menu items, the food works.. least mine did. The atmosphere is still pizza joint.

Don't eat here!!! The service was ok but the food was almost in edible. High prices poor quality food. The Alfredo seemed to be a butter sauce it was a yellow oily mess nothing creamy about it. The spaghetti and meatballs tasted funny not sure what the meatball was made of but pretty sure it wasn't 100% beef? One meatball looked like it had a bite out of it before it was served and they put marinara instead of meat sauce which was no big deal but when they took it back it came back on the same plate with the meat sauce on top of the marinara. Long story short bad restaurant stuck in a time warp ripping off travelers that drive by due to location. Don't get caught and stop at this place.

We stopped on the way back to DC from Norfolk. On the hunt for something other than the typical fast food road tripping food, this was exactly what we were looking for. $4.99 all-you-can-eat soup and salad bar ... bump it up to $7.99 (or something like that), and you add all-you-can-eat pizza, too! The corn chowder hit the spot, especially for the two of us, since we were overcoming colds. My fiance went the pizza route - I took one bite (to see if I wanted to, too!) and decided it was just so-so. Pizza has to be realllly amazing to have me go for it. In this case, there just wasn't enough sauce, and the crust was a bit doughy in taste (not in texture). They boasted several varieties at the buffet and replenished it frequently. The menu you looked pretty diverse, so seems to be something for everyone. The place was comfortable and homey -- you could tell there were lots of regulars -- and our server was attentive and sweet (the manager on duty, on the other hand, was decidedly unfriendly and wore a frown on her face both when we entered and exited).

Good food, friendly service, and a tad on the tacky side. But definitely worth going to if you're looking for a hearty meal with reasonable prices. It's only a couple miles west of the outlets (just a mile beyond the pottery). Located in "Downtown Norge," Jimmy's looks like a total dive from the outside, but is a bit nicer on the inside. The tables and some of the accent features are a bit dated, but the red walls help give it a slightly formal feel. The food itself was outstanding and very reasonably priced. My friend wanted to go somewhere with steak that wasn't too expensive, which is what led us here. He really enjoyed his 16 oz T-bone; with a baked potato, steamed vegetables, salad and breadsticks the total was $19. I'm not a big steak person and decided to go with the grilled salmon. It was absolutely succulent and seasoned just right. It came with the same stuff that the steak came with and was also very reasonably priced. We each had a glass of merlot, which paired nicely with what we ordered. Our server was really friendly and was a natural at striking up a conversation.

We came across Jimmy ' s Oven and Grill after a long trip, tired and hungry. It was just what we needed. The service was great, so friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich and their signature burger. The ingredients were fresh and generous. Best of all were tge fries which were crispy and delicious. Would Recommend to anyone.

Jimmy's reminds me of a very old diner in terms of architecture & layout. Looks "dated" inside in my opinion, but clean. There was some confusion on who our waiter would be once we arrived, but it was sorted out and we ended up having a nice server. I ordered the blackened chicken wrap which was decent; the chicken was room temperature my fries were cold but I ate it anyway. My friend enjoyed the blackened chicken alfredo; although she admitted the chicken was the best part. We only visited Jimmy's because we were looking for deals and purchased a Groupon to try the restaurant. The Groupon was for $10 for $20 worth of dinner food. This restaurant is very far from Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, so we were not able to make it for dinner the previous night like I orginally intended. We tried to useit the next day instead but it was still lunch time, so they only honored our voucher for the purchased value of $10. I was pretty annoyed because we went through so much trouble to go and they wouldn't honor the voucher for the promotional value. We would have been better off not using the Groupon. We could have went to another restaurant closer to our hotel and saved on the gas that took us completely out of our way. When we went to the hostess to pay our bill (like at IHOP or any other diner) she coldly informed us that we were lucky that our voucher was honored at all because there was a lunch deal on Groupon. I was too exhausted to argue with her. Since we were only visiting the area, I will never have the option to go back to Jimmy's Oven and Grill -- but even if I did live by I would not return. There isn't anything else in the area worthwhile anyway, so it is a total waste of time if you're on vacation and staying near Colonial Williamsburg.

Well, visiting Great Wolf and this place was convenient. Reviews were fairly positive and the kids were hungry so we gave it a go. Restaurant itself was comical. Knew we were in for a treat when we didn't see anyone younger than 70 at a table. Decor was dated. Ceiling was lime green, accented by those old square acoustic tiles that your grandma had in her basement. Walls were dark red, decorated with knick knacks from the home aisle of Target. Lots of wood in the booths, windows etc. Someone really likes wood. Outside a sign proudly announced the return of the seafood buffet on Friday nights. In fact they are so proud of the buffet that they leave it out (empty) every night of the week. On to the food. Wife and I both ordered different penne dishes (which they waitress corrected me and pronounced it PAN-aye) and one of us got spaghetti and the other got fettuccine. Didn't even complain, just ate it. The mozzarella sticks, the meatballs and the bread sticks were clearly from the frozen food aisle and all the pasta and other ingredients were store bought. Food tasted ok but nothing was especially good. On the bright side the kids loved their plain pasta...mostly because my kids love tasteless bland food. Service was slow but with a smile, really nothing to complain about there other than the fact that if you looked around the restaurant you'd see them stacking dirty dishes on unused tables (there were lots). I'll never go there again. There has to be better "basic" food in the area. And if I save one other person from making the mistake we made tonight this review will have served its purpose.

I would like to start out by saying Im local and also in the restaurant business. We visited Jimmys for breakfast recently, and i noticed walking in their were on two other tables in the restaurant so they were NOT busy. We sat down and order drinks. The waitress quickly brought my coffee but my kids never got their drinks. We waited a good 10 mintues for an Oj and chocolate milk. When i finally got up to ask where my drinks were i found the waitress talking to another server and the drinks had not even been poured. And went back to the table, got my kids and left. Now Im not the kind of person that goes around writing bad Yelp reviews but in the case its just necessary. This is not the first we have had bad service at Jimmys. But this experience took the cake. The "front of the house" lacks organization and sense of urgency. The food is good, but you will wait for it...thats for sure. Hoping they can make some serious changes, their customers deserve it.

Delicious! Mo's burger was amazing! Grilled onions, mushrooms, garlic and bacon on a kaiser bun. I also had the bread pudding, which was also delicious :) will definitely be coming back in the future

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
