I am currently writing this review from the bed of the very luxurious FDR room. A Williamsburg White House is a fantastic inn. Check-in was smooth with my key being left in a box, I was able to just walk right in and get settled. I'm not one for a big production when I arrive, so it was totally preferred. There was sherry and brownies in the sitting room, a nice Southern touch. My room was a great size, well decorated, and had modern amenities. Breakfast was excellent! I've never had baked oatmeal before and I loved it! I do wish I would have paid the extra for a package including the private breakfast room, as I am not one for forced conversation with strangers. The owners who served us breakfast were incredibly friendly. I highly suggest staying at the Inn if you are ever in the area.

One of the first B&Bs we stayed at in Williamsburg, this place is right off of Jamestown Rd. We arrived late, but obtaining the key and getting to our place was a breeze. We stayed in the Washington Suite, and I loved the portrait of Washington himself, over the mantle, and the wallpaper and the decorations. Definitely a 'presidential' feel to it. Breakfast? My husband and I LOVED Ms. Debbie's stuffed french toast with the strawberries - it was oh-so-amazing! We also had the eggs Benedict the following morning, and that was so delicious, too! Dining in the main room was a little awkward, as most of the other couples kept to themselves, but Debbie and John tried to keep the conversation flowing. We knew the Williamsburg area well, so we didn't have to ask for suggestions on things to do. A cute inn and a nice treat if you're in the area. +stuffed french toast with strawberries +eggs Benedict

We spent six (6) welcoming and friendly nights at the Whitehouse. We arrived a bit late, but were greeted by John Keane who immediately helped us with the several bags that we carrying. (It took two trips, but John was there for it all!). We were given a short tour, shown how to use the two keys that we were given, offered a glass of wine and left to settle in. Our stay was idyllic. We had done a lot of driving, so got up later than the 8:30 AM breakfast call. Debbie was most helpful in recommending a lovely restaurant in the center of town for breakfast. It was very good. Both Debbie and John patiently answered our many questions about touring Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. Debbie recommended several very good restaurants and made our reservations for each. She described the route to each ... each night. The breakfasts were feasts. Hot coffee and tea awaited the early risers. The menu changed each morning with each day being more inventive and tasty that the previous one. We have come from a family reunion and were satiated with conversation. On the second day, we requested breakfast in the room off of the living room and arrived to find a beautifully set table with hot coffee, fresh fruit and hot water for tea. John was our gracious server. After breakfast, John and I shared our interests in World War II and well as contemporary politics. While we were not always on the same side of issues, he was well informed and interesting, as well as interested. Our room, the Lincoln Bedroom, was wholly charming, spacious and well-appointed with Lincoln memorabilia. There was more than ample storage space for our clothing and two functional bathrooms. Lighting was good, giving us the opportunity to read about all that we had seen during the day. We particularly enjoyed the tongue-in-cheek parking signs ... Democrats; Republicans; Press Secretary, etc. (What a clever way to handle parking!) We had an early plane so needed to depart for Washington, D.C. before the 8:30 AM breakfast hour. Debbie prepared a breakfast for the road that included fresh fruit, scones, coffee and tea, set at a lovely table with flowers and cloth napkins . The Whitehouse is not a 5-star Four Seasons or St. Regis hotel with doormen, hall porters and room service. It is charming, well located, in-tune with historical Williamsburg B&B. Don't miss it.

My wife and I recently spent a delightful long weekend in Williamsburg, and a big part of our enjoyment was our stay at A Williamsburg White House. They offered a package that included admission to Colonial Williamsburg and a gift card for shopping. We stayed in the spacious Washington Suite, which had a nice sitting room, huge bathroom and luxurious feather bed. I had probably the best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel. The common areas include a library stocked with books, most on presidential themes and a dining room, where breakfast is served. Every day featured a different entree, my favorite being a perfect Eggs Benedict on our last day. Debbie and John Keane, our hosts, do the cooking and serving and provide stimulation for conversation among the guests. I noticed that people tend to stick around and chat after breakfast here, surely due to the pleasant ambience. They are within walking distance of the main attractions, so this place is definitely worth your while if you are planning to visit Williamsburg.

Our stay was our first B&B experience. This was a spur of the moment last minute trip for us. After checking availability online, we called at 5PM to make a reservation for that night to arrive later in the evening. The owner verified availability and told us that the room was ours. It was only a one night stay in the newer West Wing's Adam's Chamber. As soon as we arrived we were offered White wine and our host made suggestions for grabbing a late dinner out. The room could not have been nicer with a big comfy wooden four post canopy king bed. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful in the main house dining room. A full breakfast was served and the baked oatmeal appetizer was the best part! The personal attention by the owners made us truly feel at home. We will be back for a longer stay next time!
