A warm, friendly, inviting place. The customer service the way service should be done. A friend and I had a craving for Greek food and decided to drive out and give Yanni's a try. We were greeted and seated right away. For appetizers we had the hummus plate and calamari. The hummus was just slightly spicy and the pita was warm. For a basic food, the flavor was terrific. The calamari came out next and it was probably the best calamari I've had in a couple years. It was fi but not chewy and the breading was flaky. I ordered one of the specials for dinner. The lamb shank braised in tomato sauce served on a bead of Abborio rice. The lamb was DELICIOUS! It fell off the bone and needed only a fork to cut up. Yanni's easily falls into the category of a place not only that I have to come back to but it is a place I'll direct anyone that asks me to with a great recommendation.

I hit up Yanni's for a gyro at lunchtime. A decent sized crowd but there was a two-top table available in the bar area. Gyro, please. Yes, with fries. It arrived a few minutes later. A good amount of meat on there that tasted like more beef than lamb and the fries were nice and crisp. Plenty of tomato and nice thin rings of onions and of course, tzatziki sauce. Very tasty, a good portion and I left stuffed. Service was decent - I think it was busier than they had planned.

After hearing so much about this place on Yelp, I went there with my family and I was disappointed with the food. The service was friendly and prompt with a waitress that had good knowledge of the menu. The food, however, was quite a disappointment. I ordered spanakopita as an appetizer for the table which was one of the worst excuses for that particular Greek signature dish I've ever had. It was obviously a premade frozen something they got from a food supply house. The center was cold and would have tasted awful no matter what the temperature. The chicken Ceasar and the Greek salads were nothing special, but it's hard to go either way (exceptional or awful) with a salad in my opinion. I ordered the lamb kabobs which were also not good. The lamb was tough and over cooked and almost inedible. They have discontinued their brunch menu, so don't bother going for that, in fact, my advise is just not to bother.

Just went here for our 1st time. The 1st problem is I ordered the tirokafteri and the waitress didn't know what that was. Then the rest is of the food was just bad. I guess because I eat at papa Greeks a lot, when I want Greek food I expect it all to taste as good as good as there's. If your looking for good Greek food this is not the place. Keep looking or just go to papa Greeks. Also I just want to add the gyro meat was so bad I didn't even eat it

I love going to Yanni's! It's such a nice break from loud "American food" restaurants. It's quiet and cozy, but classy and kind of beachy. I'm obsessed with their feta bruschetta, and the saganaki is a must for our family. We moved to VA Beach a few years ago from Ohio, we love bringing our friends here to show them what our local scene has to offer. Service is always fabulous. Our servers have always engaged our toddler which is sooo awesome. It's so rare for one server to even look at a child much less have an entire staff smile, wave, etc. Let's talk about food. Yummy yum yum. Always quick, always correct. I tend to make a lot of modifications, and I have always received the correct order in just a few minutes. Portions are pretty perfect. My husband has been to Greece, he tells me it's pretty spot on to what he's had over there. I wish they were open later!

This is a favorite of ours for a quick, good, inexpensive Greek dinner. I usually get the gyro platter and it is always loaded with great tasting gyro meat. I like their tzatziki sauce and usually ask for some on the side. I choose fries with the dinner, they are usually crisp and delicious. My wife gets the Greek salad which contains fresh veggies and several large chunks of Feta cheese. Service has always been good.

We got the hot appetizer combo (Pilkila). Everything was delicious. They best tzatziki sauce I have had in awhile.

I went here for my birthday dinner. The food was pretty good, except my lamb was overcooked and unsalted and the hummus was really thin. Also it was a bit pricey given the presentation and taste. Not to mention they added a tip when bringing the check. I find this to be unusual when there's only 3 people dining. If I'm in Virginia Beach I'd eat here again. If I'm gonna have to drive regardless (I live in Chesapeake) I'll just go to Norfolk.

Good food. Gyro was delicious. Lemon chicken soup is also a favorite. I love sitting outside at night with the lights on the outdoor patio. Casual atmosphere with complimenting paintings and a greek feel throughout the resturant.

The families first experience here when it first opened, and we felt a little disappointed, we didn't know what was up, but when we ordered, our food didn't taste too much like Greek food. Who knows, the cook just might have not been with it at the time. But just a few months ago, I met a dear friend here and the gyros were much better. I'm glad I hadn't formed too big of an opinion on this place because of my first experience. We will be defiantly heading back to this place again.

Worst Greek food I've ever had! Hummus was disgusting!! They use WAY too much garlic!

I've been there a few times and have always been impressed with their tasty, huge portions and the great ambiance they've successfully installed in a former Friendly's. The place is very clean, roomy but homey, and definitely not over the top Amero-Greek, like lets say, Tarpon Springs. I've tried pretty much everything else on the menu, so today I just went in for the Gyro with a side of soup. The lemon chicken soup was absolutely delicious and I wished I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup. The gyro pita bread was thick & moist, the vegetables and tzatziki fresh, with a generous portion of meat, and then the final touch - which transported me back to a trip to Greece so long ago - some french fries added to the pita. This was awesome. I didn't want to leave, so I ordered some Galaktoboureko with a Greek coffee and this made my night.. Sated beyond expectations. The service was friendly, overall excellent. I sat at the bar, but the dining room was also being well-taken care of by several waitstaff. I'm not sure why there weren't more people in the dining room, maybe it was too late or because its the holidays, but Virginia Beach is missing out if you're not heading to Yanni's.

Been here twice now and have been impressed both times. Their calamari was perfectly prepared, not over cooked and not too heavy on the breading. The lamb I had was cooked exactly the way I wanted it and tasted great. The waitress did an excellent job helping us, which I'm sure was tough since we had a fairly large group. I will definitely be back when I'm hungry for some good greek food.

  • Brian D.

Overpriced and underportioned. A "full" sized salad barely feeds one and at an outrageous $9. Don't worry though, you get three pieces of feta, a couple halved cucumbers and five kalamata olives. As for the gyro, the lamb was sliced far too thin and cooked way too long. Would not surprise me at all if it was from the previous day and re-heated.

  • Brian K.

Today was my first trip for lunch and I wasn't really impressed. Our waitress came to the table brought our drinks then disappeared. We had a ask another waitress to track ours down. We eventually got to order and the meat in the gyro seemed really dry. I haven't eaten a lot of Greek food so I'm not sure if this is typical for a gyro but not what I was expecting. I expected a better sandwich for $10. Maybe they were just "off" today but not sure I'll go back.

I really enjoyed lunch here! Happy to finally make it out, as its not really in my neck of the woods, but a place I have heard great things about and been meaning to try for a while. Ambiance is casual- authentic Greek music was a plus! I like how they have the really traditional Greek entrees and also the classic/American type stuff. I would want to come back for dinner to try more of a variety. I had the Vegetarian pita with a side of the lemon-orzo soup and really enjoyed them both. Was a little nervous about the egg plant in the pita. I don't like giant slabs of eggplant, but it was well incorporated in with the other veggies. One weird thing is that the pita was topped with mozzarella instead of feta, hmmm...still good though so I am not complaining. Children's menu was very reasonable and had traditional items like burgers and fries, sometimes it is nice when the ethnic places make accommodations for deranged children who only alternate between the same 5 foods every day of their young lives. Yep, I'm talking to you my own offspring! Ya'll would have us eat at Applebees every night if it was up to you..thank God your parents are here to intervene and save you from a chain restaurant hellscape... Anyway, the waitress was very nice and gave my daughter a cool coloring page of a very muscular young Greek man. Interesting!

Delicious food! I love the baked chicken with Greek potatoes! It's a great place to come with family or friends for dinner. The staff is always friendly and attentive! I haven't tried anything bad here! I love to start with a large greek salad and share with everyone!! I'm not sure how authentic it is, but it's good :) It's worth a try. The entrees are quite expensive I think, but the portions are fair.

My wife and I have been spoiled by Greek food in big city so we're tough. The food here is always great, but we've had better. All and all, we do return though. Great call ahead delivery service too if you wanna pick it up!

Solid Greek food, for the non-Greek. Overall, it's a good place to go for the atmosphere and the music. But if you're looking for authentic Greek food, they are slowly starting to miss the mark. I've been here multiple times over the years (live in VB, work here and in DC) and I've always enjoyed the staff and the atmosphere. Usually there is authentic Greek music playing and the seating area is perfectly arranged so you aren't crammed in with a bunch of people during the busy hours. The food used to be excellent...but lately it seems like it's beginning to turn into more fast-food Greek, or Greek with a more American influence...which makes sense, since most American food is fast-food oriented! We have tried nearly everything on the menu and the souvlakis are consistently pretty good, but lately everything seems to be getting blander and greasier. HOWEVER...their bruchetta will continue to be one of the best I've ever had! If you start getting tired of the rest of the menu, just get 3 orders of the bruchetta and you'll be set! Absolutely delicious with authentic Greek olive oil and their superb feta cheese! Again, overall it's a good place...and I love the atmosphere. But I'll have to agree with a few of the other reviews...if you don't live nearby, you'll probably have better success at other locations. It won't be worth a huge drive in, but if you DO decide to give it a shot...it does have some very good items and the ambiance will be good enough to make it worth it.

My friend and I had lunch here. The food was outstanding! We started with Bruschetta with Feta, and it was delicious, crunchy and had flavors that were subtle and not overbearing. I had the Lamb Gyro with tomatoes and onions with cucumbers sauce. The meat and veggies were cooked perfectly with the cucumber sauce tying everything together. The pita was fresh and everything just melted in my mouth with every bite. The french fries were crunchy and complimented the meal. Overall, the price point for the whole meal, quality and service was outstanding. I definitely recommend this to anyone craving Greek or Mediterranean flavors.

Just ate here the other day and have been thinking about the lemon chicken soup ever since. It is sooo good!! Started with the hummus which they serve with either pita or cucumbers. I also got a gyro wrap which was delicious and the perfect portion size. The whole atmosphere of this place is warm and inviting. Nice views and great server staff. I will definitely be back.

Review is based on the pita meal only. It was ok for a $5-6 pita. Unfortunately, it was $9.00 and another $2.50 for a coke. That's $12.82 with tax for a gyro, fries and coke. Fries were over salted and over-cooked. I like crunchy fries too. With tip I'm up to $15. I see lots of good reviews here. I've eaten gyros in Egypt, UAE, Israel and Jordan. This pita does not have the authentic taste of the Mediterranean. It was average at best and over priced. Waitress was friendly and the ambiance was nice.

Mmmmm! I've been here once before a long time ago - try about three years. I came with a Greek friend who I met at ODU who wanted to introduce me to Greek cuisine before a trip I was taking with my mother to Athens and Mykonos. On this trip I got the moussaka and it was good but I was not feeling the creamy topping on top. I don't remember it being as thick or tasting the same while I was in Greece. I'm sure there are many ways to make it, I didn't care for this one. The lemon potatoes and green beans were very good. Finished the meal with fresh loukoumades. Mmmmm! Sooo good - but they bring so many! I only ate about two of them and there were probably 10 in the little bowl! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We sat at the quiet bar area. It was nice there was hardly anyone there but it was a random Wednesday night.

Nice, clean and colorful interior with great music. The waitress was very friendly. As for the food, not bad, but room for improvement. Hummus was good. Grilled shrimp was tasty but salty, so I used it to go with my Penne later. The lamp chop my partner ordered was over cooked, with buttery potato and soft, flavorful green beans. My Mediterranean Penne was bland, no butter and more like steamed, though I like the ingredient, I took home and remake it next day. Looking for something with more flavors.

My boss treated me to lunch here today. I had a gyro with fries. Very standard, good fare. There was nothing bad about it, but also nothing to make it stand out. I thought it was a little steep for lunch, with a gyro and fries running about nine bucks, and a soda 2.50. I don't know that I would venture out here again on my own (I live a fair distance away) but I wouldn't turn it down either if somebody invited me. A final note--service was friendly and the one mistake that occurred was quickly rectified with a smile.

Wonderful Greek food. We sat out on the patio and ordered the Saganaki Flaming Cheese appetizer which is delectable. My husband ordered a chicken dish and I had lamb shanks. The chicken is always good and the lamb was outstanding. The owner came out and chatted with us for a while, showing us all the herbs he grows around the patio. This is definitely a favorite place of ours.

By far my favorite Greek food so far since living in this state, better than any I had in CA as well. Definitely get the dolmades, they're the best I've EVER had. Great wine and beer, the gyro is fantastic, my wife's favorite is the Mediterranean Penne. If you love Greek food and you haven't been here, you need to put it on your priority list!!

I had dinner here Saturday evening. I would have to rate it as just "okay". The service was fantastic, the ambiance is very family friendly, with a big screen tuned into football in the main dining area. I found the kids menu a little lacking. Note to all restaurants. Don't try to get fancy on the kids meal. If a kid wants fancy, we'll order from the regular menu. Every kids menu staple should be some kind of chicken strip/nugget. They had a chicken breast, and a pita pizza. We ordered the pita pizza and it was kind of pitiful. Cooked well done (=hard) with a lot of sauce and a little cheese. Less than 5% was consumed. I opted for Lamb Souvlaki with their home potatoes and green beans. The vegetables were really good. The meat was not. Tough and overcooked, it was a big disappointment. My husband got the gyro platter and the other two diners got gyros. They were clean plate club members and said the gyros were great. If I want Mediterranean fare, I am going to stick with my favorite, The Street Cook. They have never let me down.

Took my wife out to dinner, went looking for another restaurant down in Red Mill and found this instead. Not bad. We were seated next to the bar which I did not like, and yes the bartender was our waiter. While not horrible, not an ideal situation. We had the calamari appetizer and it was eh... Not bad but... Edible. Tasted like it just came off the Sysco truck... our entrees were not bad at all. Standard fare. Price was fair. Beer was cold, and it is nice inside.

Stopped by for dinner tonight and found out that the restaurant opened 3 days ago. They serve lunch and dinner, closing at 10 during the week, and 11 on weekends. As soon as we walked in, we heard complaints from other diners who had endured long waits for food. Working in the restaurant industry for a few years, I expected a few kinks since the place just opened. Luckily, our wait wasn't too long. Our server was really nice, and pretty attentive. We ordered some dolmades which were great. They were served warm, stuffed with meat & rice & served with tzatziki. We also ordered shrimp santorini which were surprisingly spicy but very good. The chicken souvlaki was also really good. My daughter inhaled the whole plate so I didn't get to sample any of it. Finally, for dessert we tried the loukemades. They are small balls of fried dough served with a honey & cinnamon sauce. The dough was a bit too heavy. They are usually puffy & light. The interior of the restaurant showed signs of it's previous resident.(a steakhouse) It was very pleasant with different pictures of Greek scenery. There is a nice outdoor patio as well. The menu consisted of all the usual Greek dips, calamari, dolmades, & spanikopita for appetizers. Entrees ranged from salads to gyros & seafood to lamb chops. The entrees averaged $12-$25 (lamb chops) Great addition to the area. There are no real Greek restaurants in the area which is surprising since Va Beach has a good sized Greek community. The food was pretty good, and as soon as they iron out some of the new opening problems they'll be great!

Great food. Excellent service. We come here at least twice when we are Virginia Beach. Give it a try before 5 pm since they have a ton of regulars that come in so getting a table may take a while.

My husband, 3-year-old, and I visited on a Saturday night around 6pm. We were visiting from out of town. I'm glad we got there when we did, as it started to get busy right after (although there never seemed to be a wait). We did not have a reservation and were seated right away. The atmosphere was casual but classy, a fireplace in the rear and nice large booths. Everything was clean and polished. The bathrooms were big and clean. Larger parties seemed comfortably seated which is always nice to see. We were served right away and ordered a trio of dips for an appetizer: Tirokafteri (spicy feta dip), Tzatziki (garlic cucumber yogurt dip), and Hummus (tahini & bean dip). The spicy feta and tzatziki were perfect. The tzatziki had a nice dill flavor with hints of garlic tanginess. The hummus was not my favorite as I prefer more texture (theirs is almost pureed and very nutty tasting), but it was okay. The amount of grilled pita it came with was more than enough to share with a group of 4 or more. We took home more than half of it. So, the price is definitely a good deal, but we'll probably stick to one dip next time - we just couldn't decide on one for our first visit! I was tempted to get the flaming saganaki cheese and will next time. Several of the diners there ordered it, as evidenced by the waitstaff's shouts of "Opa!!" each time they lit one on fire. I had the Pork Souvlaki meal and a small Greek salad. I love it when the chef uses blocks of quality, authentic feta cheese and a light homemade vinegarette on their salads. This is how a Greek salad should be - fresh, simple, and flavorful. As for the entree, I am usually hesitant to order souvlaki anywhere just because it's not easy to get the marinade and texture of the meat done right. Most places mess it up, but I decided to take a chance as they seemed to know what they were doing here. This was a homerun! The meat and veggies (red and green peppers, onions) were skewered and grilled to perfection. The meat was so tender and flavorful and the peppers were charred on the edges and sweet. I was very happy with my choice. The sides were fine - I had the stewed green beans and roasted potatoes - but my focus was on the souvlaki. My husband was in town for a marathon and so was loading up on carbs and chose the Meditteranean Penne. I had a taste and he agreed that it was fine, but would probably order one of the grilled entrees next time. My son had the Pita Pizza from the kids' menu and ate half of it (that's three stars for him since he's in the picky-eating stage of life). He did enjoy the pita and dips and the bread that came out before the meal as well. The service was perfect - a nice balance of attentiveness and privacy. The cost of our dinner was just over $70 (no alcohol, tip not included) which is a bit pricey for a regular dinner out. However, $20 of that was for the side salad and appetizer, so $50 is not unreasonable for two entrees and a kids' meal. And, I am always game to pay for Greek food done right, so will be back again next time we visit Virginia Beach as we don't have a good Greek restaurant near us!

This place is the reason I like lamb! Slow roasted to perfection! The cheese appetizer (you know, the one they set on fire) is amazing. But, the real life changer for me was the lemon chicken soup. I know I sound so lame but it is heavenly! They also have a great brunch on Sunday with the best pancakes I've had in a while, as well as a Greek omelette and great options for kids; just to name a few!

I am a VERY picky eater, yet, I LOVED everything I was served! I started out with fried zucchini with tzatziki sauce (which I could have eaten a whole plate of and been completely satisfied) then I got the Grecian chicken which was so delicious. The portion was not only big enough that I ate it for 2 meals, but the price was awesome (I believe it was $10.99). I ended with the ekmek dessert and again, delicious! I would go back to this place over and over again. THANK YOU YANNI'S, you've made my pallet very happy!

Absolutely fabulous Greek restaurant. The food is awesome, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the servers are great. Every time I come here I wonder why I don't think to eat here more often. You don't have to be a greek food expert to know exactly what you're ordering and love it. Give it a shot! You won't regret it.

This restaurant has been open for a couple of weeks now and it looks like they have worked out the kinks. We ate here a couple of nights ago and the food and the service were excellent. No sign of a slow kitchen or inattentive wait staff. Our server, Jordan, was a delight. Very efficient with loads of personality. The lamb souvlaki was perfectly grilled and bursting with flavor. The Gyros are also tasty and come with plenty of french fries. Perfect for kids or adults and very affordable. We will definitely be back as there are so many dishes we want to try. If I am in a gut busting mood, I am going to go for the mousaka, which is like a Greek lasagna only with eggplant instead of pasta sheets. Just a few minor downchecks. All of the lamb dishes seem a bit pricey ($25 for lamb chops...$15 for two skewers of souvlaki) but I take that as a sign that lamb is just an expensive meat. Guess I can't blame the restaurant for that. Also, the hummous was a bit thin and could have used some more garlic and tahini. I expect a good hummous to punch the palate. But the grilled pita bread that came with the appetizer was delicious so it wasn't a complete waste of $4.99. We plan on going back again and again.

I love, love, LOVE the food here. The tziki app ia awesome, and the lemon chicken soup is even better. I like the greek saad for my main course, and my friends enjoy the gyro platter an chicken pita. Service is always good as well! A must visit if you are in the area. Bring a jacket if you chill easily though- the AC is always cranked high.

I live within walking distance to Yanni's and just recently tried it for the first time! I am already counting the days until I can go back. I was extremely impressed with the service. Everyone there displayed a wonderful charm and professionalism that only comes from truly enjoying what it is you are doing. I had the Moussaka and without trying to sound overly dramatic - I was stunned by how much I enjoyed it! I am already planing on taking friends and family back to Yanni's and practically forcing them to order said dish. It was FANTASTIC. Yanni's is a great find for me. I highly recommend it!

The Greek food is good but I found it to be a little pricey. The Azalea Inn is on par with this place but doesn't cost as much. I suppose if you're too far away to come out to Norfolk this place would be an awesome alternate for Greek.

Definitely the BEST Greek restaurant around! The service is always great, and they are very willing to accommodate. BE SURE TO GET THE SAGANAKI FOR YOUR APPETIZER! This is one of the highlights of our dinner each time we go. Cut it up and put it on their bread, you will be in LOVE!

I have been here 3 times now and have a good experience each time. The food tastes fresh and service has always been friendly and accurate. Chicken Gyro - Awesome! Great yogurt sauce and flavorful chicken. I wish they didn't put french fries in there, but whatever. Greek Salad - Pretty average. The vinaigrette is great, but everything else is about what you expect. Lemon Chicken Soup - Really good. Not the best I've had, but it's still pretty good. Bean Soup - Perfect if you're looking for something healthy. Lots of veggies and beans. The breakfast was just so-so, but everything else we've had, we would order again. I do think the prices of their full-size entrees are pretty steep, but I may try one next time.

We always have a great meal here! The staff are friendly and we always end up leaving with full bellies and desserts to go!

I have never had a less than outstanding meal here! Service is always prompt, accurate and friendly and prices are competitive. If you can, work up a good appetite. You'll definitely want to start with either the Greek salad or some of the homemade lemon chicken soup. Then the gyros are always an awesome entree, but if you get the gyro platter, you will have plenty left over for your next meal and the price difference is minimal! I've rarely had room for dessert, although I was able to split the baklavah cheesecake once and it was on point! Lastly, the tzatziki sauce that they have is beautifully made, just enough cucumber and dill, loads of garlic and thick yogurt. They need to start selling it!

A few days ago my hubby and I tried Yanni's for the first time. The atmosphere was quite nice and our server was nice, fast and attentive. I had the moussaka and my husband had the pastitsio. Our food was lukewarm but my moussaka tasted delicious anyway and I really enjoyed it. If only it had been served hot it would have been perfect. My husband said that his pastitsio was cool inside in certain spots. I was tempted to send mine back to be warmed up but it tasted too good to send back and I didn't want to stop eating it. The food also seemed to be a bit overpriced for what we got, but we chalked it up to the nice atmosphere. The overall experience was very good. I would definitely eat there again.

While visiting Virginia Beach I've realized that the food selection here is a bit minimal. We were craving Mediterranean food that didn't close before 8pm!!! So we found Yanni's CASUAL Greek...and really there isn't anything casual about Yanni's. Yanni's is a nice sit down restaurant, with a great full bar and great service. We ended up just ordering takeout at the bar and waited for our food. The prices are about $13 + a plate for dinner and the menu is pretty extensive! Our order included: * assorted cold dips: hummus, garlic and spicy feta dip $14 * Mediterranean pasta: penne, spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms $14 *gyro platter $13 *spanikopita $7 The food was plenty...but I did feel like it was a bit pricey for what you got. Overall, we had no leftovers and we ate EVERYTHING! If you are looking for decent Greek food in the area, try Yanni's...it's not too shabby. But nothing compared to Greek food back home!

Recently, we suggested Yanni's to out-of-town visitors after a movie at the local Regal theater because it has been one of our go-to spots when we ventured farther than the Kempsville area. But we were sadly disappointed with the changes that have occurred in our favorite menu items; I particularly have always loved the Gyro that had previously been stuffed generously with meat and other veggies, but this time, I was sad to see that baked potato had been added as a filler to provide bulk and to stretch the ingredients of the item. Also, our guest selected Moussaka, which arrived looking droopy and somewhat tired looking. What has happened to cause these changes to one of our favored eating choices? If prices need to go up to maintain quality, I am certain people are more than willing to pay more in order to receive the previously excellent fare once available at Yanni's. Sadly, we will not be returning. We will not be suggesting Yanni's to our friends again. The changes in the kitchen are not for the better.

Located off of Nimmo Parkway in Virginia Beach and right across from Lucky Oyster Restaurant is a nice Greek restaurant, Yanni's Casual Greek. I went here recently for dinner with my girl and her mom and I must say the restaurant has a nice layout and an inviting atmosphere with wood being the dominant theme inside. When you first walk in the bar is directly to the right of you and is a pretty large area. I would say you could seat about 15 or so and grab a drink while you watch any one of the two TVs. Throughout the restaurant there are large paintings of various Greek locations done with pastels which brightens up the area. A nice touch for the casual restaurant. There are plenty of booths within with separate dining areas and a spacious outdoor dining area as well. We ordered the Tzatziki with Pita Bread and the Fried Zucchini with Tzatziki for our appetizers. The Fried Zucchini was the star of the two appetizers. Large strips of zucchini coated with a crunchy batter, can't go wrong with that! They provide 7 slices for $7 but well worth it if you're looking for a light app. The menu offers very familiar Greek dishes even though some are hard to pronounce, they do have traditional dishes like Pastitsio, Mousaka, Spanikopita and Gyros with various meats. Yanni's also offers entrees featuring Greek Pork Chops, Paidakia Lamb Chops, and Brizola Steak as well. I ended up getting the Bifteki Burger Pita with a side of soup instead of french fries. I got the Avgolemono Soup which is a Lemon Chicken Soup. The soup was delicious with a pleasant taste of lemon, a touch of cream, and had shredded chicken and orzo pasta in it as well. The "Burger" pita is more of a meatball pita with 3 large size meatballs coated with tzatziki, and tomato wrapped in gyro bread. Upon the first bite I immediately noticed how tender and flavorful the meatballs were and were not tough at all. Definitely a good size and for around $9 not a bad deal. Yanni's is a place you should check out if you're looking for a nice, casual dining experience and an introduction into the flavors of Greek cuisine. I'm sure I'll be making a trip back to try their other options as well as desserts and maybe become a fan of this place in the future. "GET HIM TO THE GREEK!"

Wow? Another fun Greek place. The gyro was big and juicy. Salad was generous. I will return. Nothing super special about this place however the food is good. I recommend giving it a try.
