I have been going to this Starbucks since it opened. It is close to my house and everyone there has always been good. Since the new Starbucks down the street opened up, the South riding Starbucks has gotten terrible. They close at 6 now instead of 9, which I can understand, but the new people there can't make a drink properly even if you tell them how to make it. Every time I go in there I regret it. And I get a standard drink! Nothing special or complicated. 4 pumps mocha 4 pumps toffee nut. How hard is that??? The guys that work there now are the worst. 75% of the time I can't even drink it and I have to throw it out. It's that bad. I'll go out of my way now to go to another Starbucks. Today was the last straw. So disappointed...

Worst Starbucks EVER!! I've worked for Starbucks so I KNOW that they don't want people to have the kind of experience that this location provides. The older lady cashier is psychotically aggressive and RUDE. I can't believe that Starbucks would employ someone of that caliber let alone put her in some kind of authoritarian position. SUPER PUSHY AND MEAN!!! I wanted an americano (my usual), and was contemplating a pound of coffee for a friend. She kept trying to tell me that I needed more shots added (which was not only not what I asked for, but MOST CERTAINLY not what I needed) and was adamant that I buy the anniversary blend, without ever asking me what I was actually looking for. She even had one of her minions practically throw it in my face, literally. WTF Starbucks, I'm sure there are plenty of nice people near Dulles that need a job.

I have to admit I frequent this particular Starbucks, mainly because its across the street from my house. I love being able to walk here and it's never so busy that I'm turned off. The staff is very friendly which is to be expected from Starbucks, but they get to know you and that's important especially in a big chain restaurant.

So I have always had negative experiences at this starbucks until this past year, 2012. They hired a new staff and they actually seem to care even if they are alittle slow. The older lady mentioned in the other reviews is still there. I personally think thats just her personality and she really does care that you are happy with your drink. She's sweet and just goes a bit overboard on being understood and making sure you're happy. I mentioned my unhappiness and she made it right (that was ages ago). The same staff have been there awhile now and the girls are sweet. If you don't like your drink they will always remake it for you no questions asked. The older lady recommended that I sign up for starbucks rewards cause I'm always buying coffee there so I can actually get benefits. I recommend going in. I think the staff is just an odd blend of personalities but they really do care that you are happy. You just have to ask ((ps. South Riding residents are super snobby so keep that in mind when reading the other reviews))

I've been going to this Starbucks for years, and it is always a good experience. The staff there knows me and my regular drink order, and they usually get orders in fairly efficiently, even during peak hours. If I ask for something odd or off the cuff, they will take care of me if at all possible. On a few occasions the brewed coffee seems to have sat longer than it should've, but if you complain about that, they'll make it right with either a freshly brewed batch o an Americano. I've only experienced this 2-3 times in going there over the span of years, so I don't really fault them on this, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention it. I visit other Starbucks on occasion, and I have typically had good experiences at all of them, but this one seems just a bit better. That may be due to the fact that I'm a regular, but either way, I'm not complaining!

It's Starbucks - convenient location, but small. This one always seems to be busy, but barista's are efficient and friendly even when the lines are long. I've never had to wait to long for my coffee. I love the Frappuccino especially in the warmer months, but some of the flavors are just too sweet for me. Love the fact that they do these drinks "skinny" as well because the normal version is loaded with calories! Skinny versions in a grande size are a mere 130 calories as opposed to over 500.

I love Starbucks it's awesome, and I am a loyal customer. I drink so much I cannot even count. However this particular store is bad at making drinks. I ordered twice here; once for a gingerbread frappachino and once for a strawberry banana smoothie. The drinks looked more like water than anything. And it tasted really bad. I couldn't even finish my cup. I could've made a better one at home myself. Also the line is long in here so don't waste your time and find another one.

Another Starbucks. This one probably won't be seen or found by most folks unless you live back in South Riding. It's in a retail complex serving a residential neighborhood. But it's a good pit stop for folks heading east or west down U.S. 50 in Virginia (west of Route 28). I've been in here a few times - had Grande coffees (with room for cream), lattes, Cappuccinos... Today I had a triple shot, grande, Pumpkin Spice Latte. Mmmmmm! Hit the spot! Tasty, creamy, and loaded with that caffeine I O' so needed! NOTE: The address for this location should be South Riding - I've submitted a correction to Yelp for this - don't go looking around Chantilly for this location! :-)

Fast, efficient - clean. Very busy, small and did I mention busy? This is another favorite stop for my girls and I on our daddy-daughter dates. Great hot chocoloate, the baristas are always happy to customize their hot chocolate. Would be nice if it were bigger, but we can't have it all.

This Starbucks has the worst customer service. As Gregg H. indicated in an earlier review, Maria, the female Manager is just plain rude. On my last visit, a friendly, young, African-American male asked me for my order. I said I'll take a grande bold COD. The manager then turned to me and yelled out, "It's not your turn!" I replied: "The barista asked for my order so I gave it to him." She retorted: "There are people in front of you." I then had to explain to her that the barista had already taken the order of those customer in front of me. And when I went to pay, the manager repeated, saying: " Sir there are people in front of you." I know when I am not welcomed in a store. I walked out, never to return to THAT Starbucks.

Every Starbucks is a little different and has a unique vibe. This one is truly a WINNER!! Erin manages a great crew and it makes for a wonderful neighborhood shop. Thankfully for me, they also can accommodate coffee for 400! I work on a construction site, and we provided coffee for all of our crews today in honor of National Safety Week. Erin managed to pull together enough carriers for 400 cups of coffee complete with cups and fixins! I will go out of my way to support this Starbucks.

Not my fave Sbux-- obnoxiously pushy barrista (maybe manager - middle aged WF), often crowded with high-school, van-pool moms etc. Not my scene, but this is the 'burbs. They do get the drinks right and have a nice outdoor seating area. If you want to grab a cup and go, this is a good one, if you want to get some work done, go on down to Chantilly Crossing

Can't believe no other yelper made a visit at this sbux. I'm the first yea!! This is my friendly neighborhood sbux that I like to go with my laptop, grab a latte and yelp away. Coffee-bartenders are friendly, nice and can mix you up a mean grande decaf cappucino with soy in cold days or a grande sweet black ice tea shaken not stirred in the summer time. I like this sbux cuz since I'm a regular, I don't have to explain "a grande coffee of the day, little bit of ice (3 cubes) no room (for cream)." My favorite sbux.

I LOOOOOVE this Starbucks location! All the workers are so friendly and are very good about service with a smile which I absolutely appreciate! I can't stand when employees don't have smiles or a perky attitude or at least have a conversation. Though I can say I'm half a hypocrite, but that's besides the fact that these workers are awesome and they all work quicker than other Starbucks I've been to!
