Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

My wife's veggie gumbo was tasty; my veggie burrito needed more zest. Brown rice would've been appreciated over the white. Also a whole grain tortilla would be good.

I gotta be honest with you guys, my fellow Yelpers. You're either a Qdoba or a Chipotle person. I, honest as I am, a Chipotle. That being said, the fiance is a Qdoba (I know, might be an early sign), so I did end up here. My review is based solely on my experience, and NOT THE FOOD (since remember, I like Chipotle better). We stopped here for lunch and there was only a few people in line. The place was clean, and I mean very clean. The guys behind the counter were very nice, and took time to put together our food. I was very impressed by the customer service at this location. When we sat down, it was easy to find a table, and the tables were also very clean. There's a lot to be said for this during the busy lunch hour. Overall, I kind of wish I was a Qdoba! But I'll just never be. Anyway - if you are one, this is a spot on location to visit. See you all at Chip... I mean Qdoba!

Qdoba is great. Just as good as Chipotle and has more of a variety. Definitely check out the Pesto burrito if they still have it. I'm pretty sure the extra charge for guac is lesser than Chipotle's extra charge. That may not matter to you. Sorry if it doesn't! The staff are ALWAYS super friendly and talkative. Makes for a better experience. Check this shit out, yo.

My fiance and I used to come here more often and we loved it. We always got the shredded pork naked burrito bowl. We loved the fresh toppings and the corn salsa was very yummy!! The last couple of times have been disappointing. I got the veggie burrito for a change. The first time I ordered the girl cooked me up some fresh veggies it was really good with the summer veggies, plus everything else you would get on a burrito. I ordered it one more time before last night and I don't know what happened, but it has never tasted the same. (I guess since i had them cooked fresh that one time). The most recent visit I ordered the veggie burrito giving it one more shot. Again no flavor and I think there was too much rice, beans, and cheese for any flavor to come through. I appreciate the nice girl and her trying to hook us up. My burrito was so big when I got home it was bulging out of the foil. I was however happy to have a nice girl wait on us. In the past there is this one really tan girl with long hair that has no personality and is generally rude. One time I was going to ask for more cheese dip since she barely filled the container half full and she was like "is there a problem?" I was so shocked I was like no lol". IT DID GROSS ME OUT THAT THE GIRL WHO MADE OUR FOOD DIDN'T CHANGE HER GLOVES AFTER RINGING US UP!!!! THAT IS SO NASTY AND WE WILL PROBABLY NOT BE BACK!!. Our visit was on the evening of August 6, 2012 In her defense I think she was new and should be trained properly before the company gets in trouble with the health department.

Qdoba is another run of the mill, oversized and almost inedible burrito eatery. I prefer it here over Chipotle and I'm pretty confident that I save a couple of dollars in the process, but these kinds of places are a heart attack in loom. There is so much cheese, and sodium, and quadruple XL size sodas floating around that it's amazing I still haven't seen Chunk eating here. Regardless of health issues the staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is pretty good. I just wish there were more options.

This is Mexican Food in NAME Only... My first time here, and the young man explained to me that they are very much like Chipolte. I am not sure if the Owners/Managers of Chipolte and Qdoba really know what Mexican Food is or what it is all about. So, I was told the pork was good by the Server. So, I ordered the Burrito with Pork. I added Rice, with Black beans.... What they call as Hot Salsa and Sour Cream. When I got to the Register, I asked for a Small Drink. The Bill came to almost $11. I was shocked to say the least. The food came in a Pie Tin along with Plastic knife & Fork. After living in Santa Fe, NM for several years and LA for over 15, plus traveling South of the Border more times than I can count... I feel I know what is good Mexican Food. Upon tasting the Pork, I realized, it had NO Flavor or Seasoning. Plus it was Pre packaged. The Black beans had NO taste and were out of a can. The Rice was Pre Cooked and soggy. The HOT Salsa had NO Heat, and I felt regular Black Pepper would have done a better job. To make GOOD Mexican Food, you need to make FRESH food and you use good Mexican Seasoning. None of this Can stuff. The people who Operate Qdoba have NO idea as to what Mexican Food is all about. Just because you put Pork/Chicken/Beef together with Rice & Beans, and add some Salsa on it... it does not make it Mexican Food. It is all about Flavor indiginous of that Country. Flavor it lacked; Seasoning it Lack; Mexican Food it is NOT. McDonald Hamburgers have MORE flavor and that is saying a lot about Qdoba. I do not recommend this place if you want GOOD Mexican Food.

I'm giving this place 4 stars within the scope of this type of establishment. I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with Chipotle. I mean, it's fine but qdoba is markedly better. First of all, the amount of ingredients that you get to choose from to customize your food really makes this a better dining experience. There are a number of salsas to and other toppings ... you can actually make many combinations to suit your taste. Additionally, the food is tastier and is not so salt laden. Sorry but I actually don't like to feel like I'm going to be swollen like a balloon after eating. You can eat for $7-$9 a person. An order of chips with guacamole and salsa will only set you back three dollars. This is definitely a good fast casual Tex-Mex place and one of the better ones amongst its competitors.

This location may have been the biggest reason for spending your money at Chipolte across the street that ever existed. When they first opened and for a few years later, the service was horrible, the food prep routine was questionable and the food tasted horrible. How could a chain mess things up that much? How could a chain make a place feel so unwelcoming? I went back last week and it's under new management - everything is night and day, including tweaking their recipes so everything doesn't taste like salt or gobs of tastelessness. The staff is very friendly and it actually seems like everyone cares. I'm a new fan of Qdoba thanks to the new staff and management here and I'll be bringing my business back. Keep up the great work!

Service was fast and friendly but the drink station was not clean. Sauces for the covered burritos looked old and had developed skins. Just not the most appealing lunch.

Great and friendly staff. Decent for what it is. Wish there were some more veg options.

Qdoba is one of my favorite spots for lunch. Service is always quick, and the place is always clean and ready to handle the line efficiently. I ordered lunch right at 12, was in and out in 10 mins with no line. I had the chicken quesadillas with blackbeans... Although I love these, i wish they wouldnt heat them up and then stack them on top of eachother in the container because they always get stuck together and close to soggy. The upside to this visit was the chips and queso.. I love them and always get them when I go there. They are always fresh and crisp just waiting for me :) This location at Willow Lawn is definitly one of the better places.

Before this visit all I knew was Chipotle. Eating here was like cheating and finding out the grass is greener on the other side. Everything was great, service was phenomenal. The young lady making our food, Ashanti, knew all the ingredients and even wrote his and hers on the burritos so we didn't get our food mixed. The cashier, Seth, was awesome. Gave us samples of almost every sauce. The manager on duty, Kristina, served everything on a silver platter, no literally a silver (aluminum) platter. All in all, perfecto.

The chicken nachos at Qdoba is my favorite dish. The queso that goes on the nachos is very tasty.I personally think the queso make the nachos and many of the dishes at Qdoba. The chicken is always hot and fresh. The topping Qdoba has are delicious.Certain times the chips are a bit salty.Sometimes,I get the tacos from Qdoba. You get either 3 hard or soft shell tacos. The portion size is a bit small for the tacos. The tacos has a authentic taste. You can watch as your meal is being freshly prepared. The Qdoba rewards card is a good deal(free). The customer gets free meals after obtaining a certain amount of points(points are rewards after each purchase). The service at this location is always fast and very good. The manager and employees are very friendly. This location at Willow Lawn has a nice family atmosphere.Qdoba queso and the friendly staff is enough to bring you in for a good meal!I give Qdoba at Willow Lawn a 3.5 rating.
