Stopped by around 4:30 on a Thursday. Plenty of open seating, server came to our table within 2 min of sitting. She was super knowledgeable about all of the beers. This was our first time- we started with a flight and a glass of the B.Nektar Dude's Rug. Everything was enjoyable- we ordered a pretzel, but the order got lost for a bit and it didn't come out until after our other food came. With the flights, you lose track of how much it might cost. For 3 of us- we got: 3 flights, 3 glasses of beer, a pretzel, an order of wings and a small flatbread. Bill was over $110. Spendy for a happy hour, but we enjoyed everything and will be back.

It figures that a place called "World of Beer" opens up down the street from my office and I am the first one to review it, right? I've heard of the WOB franchise, but hadn't been able to get over to the Arlington location yet, so imagine my delight when I found out that a brand spankin' new WOB would be opening in RTC. I tracked their opening on FB and took an afternoon off yesterday to check this place out. (Don't judge me) When I walked in, the first thing I said to myself was "This is exactly like Sedona in Charlottesville." And basically, it is, except WOB has been around longer so Sedona probably stole the concept from them. The centerpiece of the bar is a large tap selection, and it's flagged on both sides by coolers with an extensive bottles selection. One really neat feature is that they had several interactive touch menus (powered by iPads) that listed what was on tap, in bottles, the serving size, price, and allowed for filtering by style. It was also updated in real time, so if something is kicked and the paper menu doesn't reflect it, the electronic menu will. Every taphouse needs this. I won't go into detail like I usually do about the tap selection because there's just so much to choose from and the selections rotate frequently. They did have one ale on cask (New Holland Mad Hatter) and I did get to try Flying Dog's Ginger Beer (needs more Ginger!) I was disappointed that they didn't have a true sour beer on tap, but I'm sure something in that style will find its way there in the future. They have an outstanding rewards program that encourages you to try different brews. The program is $15, but you get a free t-shirt with that, and each DIFFERENT beer you have (either in bottle or draft) is one point. You get rewards for milestones of 25, 50, 100, etc. And on Tuesdays they offer 25% off all bottles for members. Typically I don't buy bottles when at bars/restaurants because they cost too darn much. But the 25% off helped lessen the sting, and encouraged me to try the one Beliner they did have (1809), which was in a bottle. They also have an awesome app that tracks all of the beers you have tried, so if you can't quite remember the name of that beer you REALLY liked, just check the app. Unfortunately, the food falls a little bit flat here. It's not that the food is particularly bad - everything I had was tasty - but the portion sizes are small and the prices way too high, even for Reston Town Center. The baked brie appetizer said "be prepared to share" and at about $13 I'd expect a filling potion. Not so much. It was yummy with the honey drizzled on it, but really small for the price. The sausage plate was served as three small cooked sausages rather than a traditional cold charcuterie plate. It was good (LOVED the pickled okra) but not worth the $14. The guy sitting next to me got the sausage sliders, served on a nice looking pretzel bun, and fries. The fries were large cut steak fries, but he only got like 6 or 7 of them. It looked skimpy. I did luck out and was offered a free soft pretzel when they had an extra one from the kitchen. It might have been because of a double-order, but it they served it to a paying customer they might have gotten a complaint that about 10-15% of the pretzel was overcooked. (Q: Do you know what you get when you have an overcooked soft pretzel? A pretzel) The properly cooked portions were REALLY good though. And it was free, so I can't really complain. (Although I guess I kinda did.) Overall, I had a blast here, and spent a lot of time playing with the interactive beer menu. The staff was fantastic, and I'm looking forward to coming back. Hopefully as time passes and they can't rely on just their newness and beer selection to bring people in, they'll offer some Happy Hour food specials to compete with the other RTC restaurants there. But let's face it, WOB is all about a B-E-E-R, and they have this aspect nailed.

Have been several times now, each time sitting at the bar. The service is not good, which seems especially weird when sitting at the bar, directly in the four + bartenders line of sight. Food is fine, beer is fine (though they were out of an entire flight that was advertised on the menu for today as available!) but the service just stinks. Boo.

Beer. Beer. And more beer. This is the place to go if you're a connoisseur of beer with 500+ craft beers. They're known for rotating over 10,000 various types of beer. The menu is the traditional tavern fare but exceptionally better in quality and taste. They had a soft opening on Mon, June 2nd. Met a bunch of friends for drinks and was wow'd by the friendly service upon entering. They have outside seating (only chairs for now) as the tables haven't arrived yet. The tables are on a first come first serve basis, hopefully this will change as time goes on. The servers are all friendly, I mean, how could you not be happy serving beer?? Our group ordered a giant pretzel, a Margherita pizza and a sausage board. All were AMAZING. The spicy jalapeño sausage was like a firecracker in your mouth. The Margherita pizza had drizzled balsamic which differentiated it from the standard. And the pretzel with BEER CHEESE was so spectacular, we ordered 3 more rounds! This place is a must try! PERFEFCT for HH, groups and/or watching sports.

This place is a chain, and I have visited the location in Ballston before, so I knew what I was going to get. The interior is slick and clean. The bottle selection is displayed in many fridges behind the bar. The TVs are absurdly large. The beer selection is quite good. In the DC metro area, only a few bars have as good or better selections (Churchkey, Rustico, Paradiso). The selection is deep, in that they have beers that are not the flagships or local breweries (I got some DC Brau I haven't yet had). One of my complaints was the price (especially given that it is all the way out in Reston) and the misleading qualities of the menu. Generally, when you order a flight, you get it for a flat rate. Here, they don't even list the price. Instead, they charge you individually for each sample glass (those prices are also not listed at all). Why even have flights if you are going to charge individually for each. At the end of the day, I paid about $15 for my flight, and, as good as the beer was, that left a bad taste in my mouth. I would appreciate more forthrightness.

My guilty pleasure = beer. I tell myself over and over, "no more beer, no more beer...beer bellies aren't cute." But sometimes I just can't resist the refreshing taste of an ice cold beer. Ahh makes me tempted to leave work right now and head on over to World of Beer aka beer heaven. I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews! I've been twice and have enjoyed each visit. The servers were extremely friendly and the atmosphere is great! Yes, it's a bit crowded, but what bar isn't? ESPECIALLY during World Cup. I'm sure tables will open up now that it's over. And yes, they may run out of a certain beer that's on the menu, but what do you expect from a place that's constantly rotating beer options? There are plentyyy of other beers you can choose from..I'm sure you'll survive if your first choice is no longer available. I've also had the flatbreads and thought they tasted great! Good flavor and decent portion size. I'll definitely try out some of the other dishes they have. I don't go to RTC often, but I find myself wanting to go more now that there's a World of Beer there. Onlyyyy thing is that is a tad bit on the pricey side. Looking at about $7-10/beer which adds up quickly.

I love the concept of World of Beer. The huge beer fridge, the wall of taps, the cool looking raspberry infused tube of beer and the craftiest shot list ever; are all great. Came here Saturday night with my hubs and two friends and had a decent time. The bartenders were fantastic and very personable. I also love how knowledgeable the staff is. If you go in with an open mind you will potentially leave with a new favorite brew. Case in point: my new obsession with B. Nektar Meadery's Zombie Killer. I don't like fruit flavored beer, or so I thought, until a WOB staffer gave me a sample of this delicious nectar. Also the huge pretzels are so good! Since WOB just opened, I anticipate having a different experience the next time I am there. Right now, there are definitely a few kinks to work out. They ran out of Breckenridge Vanilla Porter (hubs and I got the last two bottles *sad face*) and there was an issue with the keg of Hardywood Bourbon Cru, but at least they still had bottles. Also, it got REALLY crowded. Like, you could barely move, forget talking to your friends because you can't hear them, crowded. We snagged seats at the bar and enjoyed ourselves for a while, but there comes a time when you can only be pushed /spilled on for so long. So when it got rowdy around 11pm we went elsewhere. Again, it just opened. So I don't fault WOB for that at all. It's a welcome addition to RTC, I'll be back again soon.

I come to WOB - Reston about twice a week eight miles away from Fairfax, VA. The food is very good, especially the Sausage Board and Golden Ale Shrimp. The beer selection is extensive, as you would expect here. I am a Loyalty Club member; since July 2014 I have had 96 new beers as tracked by my WOB app. I know a lot more about beer and its qualities than I did a year ago. Best of all, I appreciate the servers, bartenders, and managers I know. I won't be able to name them all, but I will mention Brittney (who also is at WOB - Arlington), Lindsay, Heather, Hannah, Ana, Sean, Scott, Rufio, several Stephens, Kevin, Miguel, Emily, Kat, Brendan, Jeremy...and the list goes on. In addition, the place features musicians on Thursday through Saturday nights. I really like Cathy & Connie plus Kara & Matty D. My beer education and good times will continue for years to come and I look forward to other WOB's opening in the DC market.

Came in on a Friday night with a buddy. First time here and we're both new to the area. Place was packed and loud. The seating situation wasn't the best. But we did eventually get a spot at the bar. They had a decent draft selection, and a much larger bottle selection. Good variety and their digital menu was a pleasant surprise. Overall I would give it a 3 1/2 stars if yelp would let me.

Ok... so I love the location of this place and I hear it is great for the "singles" scene, but we went for lunch one Saturday and it wasn't great. The service was TERRIBLE. They got the door for us and there were three girls seating people, in a mostly empty place. They said we could sit wherever... so we did. No one brought us menus so we went over and got our own about 5-10 minutes later. Then, someone finally came over when we asked and the girl seemed just blank... we finally ordered our beer flights, which were fine but some of them were warm. Then, she seemed surprised when we wanted to order food. She had like two tables but was super flustered. When our food came out, only 3 people's food came out... drinks too forever to get (one beer flight each). I asked for water several times and she didn't bring until way later. I asked for a piece of bread or something for my daughter to munch on (15 months), and she was like ummm I don't think we can do that... then I was like "not even a chip or crackers... anything", she said she would try but never brought anything. One of the hostesses came over and brought her a donut just out of the goodness of her heart, which was sweet. I would have even bought something for my daughter but I just wanted something super small and they don't have a kids menu. They do not have high chairs or changing tables... which is fine normally, but they had like 6 families in the place who needed those things... so they should realize that might be their weekend daytime crowd. Food was good overall but nothing came out hot. The "shareables" are SOOOO small... I wouldn't recommend sharing unless you are getting several for the table... the menu shouldn't put those as shareables. The hot pretzel looked amazing and was huge. The pretzel with crab shareable was so yummy but soooo small. Overall, terrible service. I like the place but wouldn't probably come back for anything but a beer at the bar.

I have been here three times all between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm. I've sat at the bar. The worst bar staff for an empty bar I've ever experienced. Maybe I look too old or like I'm going to ask for water. Because every time I've been bartenders have walked past me without acknowledging my presence at the bar. They talk to other staff and flirt amongst themselves. I have to say "excuse me!" The response to that has been " did you need something ?" Ah no I'm just sitting at this bar because I like to be ignored. Send the staff to a GAR restaurant so they can see what bar service looks like. That's what I'll do from now on.

KEEP A SERIOUS EYE ON THE BILL! When our bill came it had 2 additional beers (of the kind we had ordered) and one that we had not. When I questioned the waiter he told he told me that he thought the 2 extras were an error, but his BOSS told him to add them anyway. The one we didn't order? It turns out they had run out of the one we wanted so they just sent a different one--kinda poor, but we drank it so we were happy to pay. BTW: we were not the only people that evening to find errors on the bill...

Really tasty burgers. Good entertainment. Beer variety galore. Buyer beware. Watch out for drink padding!!!!! Check your check. There were extra drinks added on to our bill! We have seen this happen at several bars in the local area. We closely check our drink list every time now. Also the wings were okay. Not great but okay. Glory days has my favorite wings. Bathrooms or relatively clean considering the huge crowd that had. After talking to a friend of mine the morning after, I just downgraded my rating for this establishment. My friend last night paid cash for her bill, but her American Express that she used to hold the tab open was also charged. they are going over to speak with the manager today. I have also now read the other reviews and have to agree with the majority, that the seating is quite uncomfortable and very crowded. To their credit,The staff was friendly and I think the burger was good at an expected price point for this type of venue. Final decision, sadly we will not be going back.

Went for a football game and while it was crowded but we were able to get a seat. We did not eat, but the menu looked decent. This is the largest WOB I've been too. Service was fine. Beer selection is large (duh World of Beer). They have live music during the week as well. Lots of tv's so you can watch all the games being played at one time. Enjoy!!

Went to the WOB in Reston a few days ago and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. After reading most of the previous reviews I was not expecting much. After arriving it was pretty crowded due to the World Cup matches but I found that to just add a level of fun and excitement. Our server arrived a few minutes after sitting and was right on too of things from getting our drink and food order to answering questions about the loyalty program. Everything arrived quickly and correctly. The beer selection was awesome with some 50 beers on tap. They were only out if one thing I asked for some really could not complain especially with the place being mobbed. I was even told that many of the beers on tsp rotate on a daily/weekly basis. I can see that with the amount being served. Would definitely be going back soon and bringing along a few people with me. I would also recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time out at the town center. Look forward to returning soon!!

This place sucks. I live in RTC and know many (former) wait staff and bartenders who concur with this. The service is beyond horrible and as someone who LOVES beer, they continually have the worst beer selection of any place in this area. It's funny, anytime I complain to people about this crap hole of a disgusting excuse of a bar, they ALWAYS say, "but have you tried the pretzel?" ... wow, how sad. Reston deserves better. I can get a better beer at the Hyatt down the street, seriously.

I love this place. Great atmosphere and selection. This is my third time coming in and every time the bartenders are awesome. They are fast and easy to talk to. My girlfriend and I are new to the area and we will be visiting this establishment often.

So....mixed feelings here. Food was hit or miss. Our server was pretty great. Very personable and explained the menu and told us about the different day of the week occurrences and whatnot. We started with the burbon brie and it was pretty darn good, but the toasted bread served with it was a bit salty all in all a good starter though. We both started with a beer sampler which included 4 4oz pours. The server actually chooses the different beers. I'm not a huge IPA fan so I told our server this and he did to his credit come back with an excellent sampling that was very much to my liking. I didn't anticipate the cost. Each pour was between $3.25 and $4.00 making the whole sampler easily more then $13. After my wife and my samplings we each ordered a beer with our sandwiches. I got the Chimay burger, which I'd honestly never order again. I ordered it Medium Rare and the first bite was very dry. After cutting it open I confirmed it was waaaaaaaay over done and sent it back. The kitchen took care of it quickly and brought out a medium well burger (I assume this is the best they could do so I took it and happily ate it) Close counts for me unless I'm at a steakhouse. The meat just tasted like generic frozen hockey puck beef. Also the menu advertises the fries as wedge fries and these were more like shoestrings, not a big deal but just sayin' My wife got a steak sandwich with goat cheese that was fantastic. If I return I'll order one of those for sure. A meal for two with 2 beer samplers, 1 app and 2 sandwiches was about $100.00. It felt like too much $$. I'll update my review if/when we return.

They do have a selection of beer, but there is nothing on the menu that could be described as interesting or unique, every choice is "safe." For example this is the first place I have ever gotten an artificially chilled cask beer. They get two stars for 2 reasons. 1. I went in for lunch and they had me use my credit card to open a tab. First time I ever experienced that while sitting and eating a meal, I asked the server about it and it seems they have had a lot of walk outs recently. Based on my experience every time I have been to WOB the manager should look at the poor service not the customers. People will walk on a check if it takes 45+min. to get their bill. 2. Skimping on the cheap parts of a dish, like the salad greens. I am a big man who likes a big salad and I am very used to paying around $13-$17 for a big salad with good meat. On a big expensive salad I generally expect to see a variety of vegetables and some interesting stuff. I ordered the Flat iron steak salad and asked for the large and was disappointed in what showed up at the table. I got an ok amount of meat, uncooked I would call it 10oz. of flank steak. But this was sitting on top of a boring handful(maybe 2 cups by volume) of cheap 'chef' salad mix, like you would see in a bag in a grocery store. At other places in the area I would have paid $9 for this salad and they would have honestly called it a small salad. Suggestions for improvement! 1. Train staff to focus on customers. If they complain of being too busy, hire someone else! A good server could make a ton of money here if they paid proper attention to their customers instead of hiding behind a column and gossiping with other employees. 2. Don't skimp on the cheap parts of a dish, they could have doubled the amount of boring lettuce they gave me and still made their money and I wouldn't have written this review.

The service here is awful, and the price isn't justifiable. We arrived at 11:00 sharp on a Saturday, which was the time that they opened, so it was no surprise to see that the place was relatively empty. In fact, it was what we were hoping for. One guy was at the bar, a group of bicyclists was seated at a table outside, and our group of three took a seat inside. The restaurant clearly wasn't ready to be open for the day. This was apparent by the group of servers who busied themselves with a mountainous stack of menus that were piled in a clump on a table, while others condensed themselves to a corner chatting. Bottom line was that nobody acknowledged us at all until the misses asked someone, "Do we just sit down?" When we were told, "Yes," we found that the numerous open tables were also dirty. Again, this was all as the doors just opened for the day which means nobody bothered cleaning them from the night before. Sorry, but if your restaurant isn't ready for customers, you either need to open later or bring staff in earlier. There was no excuse for any of this. We sat ignored for another five to ten minutes, again in an all but empty restaurant. Finally a server comes, but quickly turns around and walks away when it dawns on her that nobody has bothered to even give us menus. Though she was friendly throughout the remainder of our time there, her service was rather hit or miss. A perfect example of this was when I ordered a second drink, and it took over ten minutes to get it (beating this dead horse into the ground) in the EMPTY restaurant. We ordered aps to start our lunch off with, and it was surprising to see them take about fifteen to twenty minutes to get. What was worse was that no sooner than we got them, they were trying to pile our main courses out on top of them. I hate this at any restaurant. Give me time to finish my appetizer. The food was subpar. The "hot" wings were milder than most mild wings I've ever had. The sausage board wasn't bad, but certainly not worth sixteen dollars. The burgers the misses and our guest ordered were overcooked (supposed to be medium, and came out well done), and wasn't spicy for having jalapeno based ingredients in addition to pepper jack cheese. I was up charged $4.50 for a side of mac and cheese, and got the equivalent of 1/2 a cup of noodles and cheese for the cost, and my brauts on a pretzel roll was so small it took me four bites to eat it. In total we had five drinks between us, and the glasses were so incredibly small for the first round. Not even the equivalent of a normal size beer at most places, and cost $7.50 each. In the end, all of this came with a hefty, HEFTY price tag of $112.00! A total rip off in my book. This place needs to work on a whole lot to get it up to the level I would expect for that price tag. For starters, the service is terrible. Second the food isn't worth the price in quantity or quality. Finally, the drinks are way overpriced for what you're getting. Side Notes - We were never offered this supposed IPAD menu that has all the additional beers on it, and I agree with the one reviewer that beers should be sorted by type to make them easier to find the beers you want to try. This will be my first and last visit to World of Beer.

This has to be the worst bar/dining experience in Fairfax County--and that's not saying much. The doorman is a complete jerk (wait, why are there bouncers in RTC anyway?). Second, I have never seen bartenders or servers complain so much in my life. Every time a customer turned around thr staff would bitch about the customers ordering too much water or how much serving flights was a pain in the ass. This place is staffed by a bunch of the most arrogant slacker staff ever... but NOTHING to show for it. I was excited about this place, but I will likely only go here as a last resort.

The review I am about to write may seem inconsistent with the rating I am giving World of Beer Reston. Overall, I am a fan of the concept. There are a million beers out there, many of which I would like to try. 1 1/2 pages worth of drafts and however many hundreds of bottles of unique beers increases your odds that there might be SOMETHING other than an IPA to be brewed. Seriously, when did we all get so bitter about our beer? I digress. I love the concept, and I love that they have kept their tavern fare simple yet a little more creative than the usual nachos and deep fried buffalo wings. And yeeeet.... Our waiter was quirky, funny, a little too confident in his inaccurate information (He didn't just disagree with me, but shot me down as ill informed when I explained the reason the Virginia locations have food is because Virginia ABC law requires it - "the Arlington location doesn't have food" - umm, yes it does - better selection and better prices too), and yet, he was very attentive, made great suggestions, and knew his stuff when it came to beer. Infusing beers with additional flavors is a thing at WOB. My partner in crime ordered a smoked porter infused with coffee and vanilla. Coffee and vanilla, 2 thumbs up, beer that tastes like smoke - not so much. I got the Epic 825 Nitro something or other stout (it had a crazy long name - too many words to remember!) and it was REALLY tasty. Food - We ordered the Bavarian pretzel and upgraded with the beer cheese dip at our waiter's strong recommendation. Yes, it is THAT GOOD. The cheese is pretty thick, with a nice kick of spice and the hint of beer. The pretzel was gigantic, which was awesome for sharing, but it was SOOOOO greasy and way over-coated with salt. I got the pork shank which was really tasty. When the meat was still hot, it was super tender and super flavorful. But as the meat cooled, it dried up a bit and it was then that I realized that we never discussed which glaze I wanted, that it was supposed to come with. My partner in crime ordered the steak frites, which was decently seasoned and cooked to the right color and temp. We both agreed that the kale and apple slaw was a good call for our side. He was also a fan of the garbanzo bean salad. The beer I first noticed upon sitting down wound up becoming our dessert. Anderson Valley Summer Solstice Cream Ale. OHHHH my goodness it was so tasty! It's a light, drinkable beer, and to me tastes like butter toffee, but not sweet. All in all, a great discovery for me. I will be checking out the Arlington location AND ITS FOOD.

First time here and I'm very, very happy. They accommodated my dog on the patio and the server was fantastic. She was extremely efficient and knowledgeable about their beer. The crab pretzel was ridiculously good and the golden ale shrimp was outstanding. The beer quality and selection are top-notch. I joined their club so I guess I have to come back! :)

Another example of great beer gone wrong. Went here on a Friday night and it was pretty packed. The beer selection is pretty solid. Bummed that I had just missed the sour they had on draft that I wanted to try but none the less o picked other options. My biggest complaint is the food. My chicken sandwich was extremely small for the price, and overall just wasn't that good. My roommate got a burger which she didn't really like either. Good beer but a little over priced and not that good of food. Eat before you go and then just snack as you drink.

People smoking on the non-smoking patio. This is the lowest rung on the town center ladder. Not a good crowd. Go to Jackson's. Go to Clyde's. I was hoping for a decent sports bar to watch games at and enjoy a drink with friends. Instead it is too loud to hear the person you are sitting next to inside the establishment.

It'll get better. I can hope. They are in their 1st few weeks, but the GM of this place really has some work to do. Things no restaurant should run out of: - Chairs (this has happened 2 of the 3 times I've been there) - Silverware - yes, really - GLASSES - Say what? - Menus - regular menus have only the draft beer, and it seems that the other 450 are on the ipads, which they may have only 4-5 of. Makes it hard to order beers that you really want. Beers can take up to 30 minutes to get to you. Food is a crapshoot. I was with two friends the other day for the USA game. One of them ordered fries 25 minutes before I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries. Mine came out in 10 minutes, and his took another 30 after mine came (he ordered 25 mins before me!). The amount of TV's are great, but acoustics are painful. The ceiling is WAY too high. That all said, the beer is great, the loyalty club is a real gem, and the food is above average. Tasty - especially that BEER CHEESE (though, charging 4 bucks for it is insane!) Again, it'll get better (you'd hope), but they have some serious kinks to iron out for sure. The one in Sarasota is a well-oiled machine, and one that they could learn from.

The place was packed..They have a open table concept i.e you can take any table..It does not work here because it is so packed that if you dont find a table..you just need to stand in a corner and wait for a table to get vacant.. The beer collection is very nice..They have some of the best collection of local breweries. I did not like the food at all.We ordered their signature pretzel which was nothing out of ordinary..The chicken wings were OK.. It tasted like the frozen tyson wings.. The pita/humus was better than other stuff..

Been here twice. Once in the evening for beers with friends and once for lunch. I ordered the salmon. Bad choice. It was way over seasoned, the potatoes were well cooked but also way over seasoned and over salted, but the veggies were cooked perfectly. Beer has been great both times. Service for lunch was good but the place was too busy for good service there in the evening. I'll check it out again. Just not too many places like this around here.

Been three times now... drinks with my wife, lunch solo, and game watching with friends on a Sunday. Good - beer selection is phenomenal. Lots of great craft brew and a ton more in bottles. Most of it you haven't ever heard of and even more, you won't really want. Seriously, how many obscure Belgian Trappist beers do you really want to try. Or do you get a regular hankering for Swiss Weissbier? Anyway, the selection is great. Bad - the food is so-so, at best. Big fu*king pretzel is good, bit everything else is fairly blah. It's bar good, with very little effort. Are the staff Applebee's rejects? The WOB chicken wings are quite slimy and they come in nines. That is 9 wings. Have you ever ordered nine (9) wings? No. You order a DOZEN wings. Nine? WTF. Ugly - non-existent service. Our waitress looked like she'd rather be dating a UVA lacrosse player. She had to be beaten to respond. No plates, no utensils, no napkins... and we literally had to flog her to get a beer. All in all, you can get good beer anywhere these days. The crap food and shoddy service aren't worth it here.

I expected better, and maybe that's where I went wrong. There are a few other craft beer bars around here that really get it right. My friend and I both ordered a beer and were told that they had run out of it. Back to the menu. My suggestion is for people to have a back-up beer in mind for when your server is there, because they may not come back for a while if the place is packed. The service time was long. Sure, the place was busy, but I didn't get that "on-top-of-things" attitude from any of the servers. They seemed more overwhelmed. I'm so glad we got seating outside. The live music inside was deafening. Whenever someone opened the front door, we couldn't hear each other until the door closed, haha. It's was funny, but only from where we were sitting. Never saw an ipad menu. I didn't like the menu either. The beers should be broken down into types; ambers, stouts, IPA's, etc.. It was all mixed up and had me having to read all the descriptions. All in all, an okay place.

The name says it all. This place has an array of beers from all over the world. For those that don't like beer they sometime have amazing ciders as an alternative. Raspberry cider is pretty legit. The food menu isn't that long and choices are limited but what you expect from a bar? I have to say out of the bar food the best one is their pretzel. Only drawback is that they may not have what you want day of. If you get a chance check out their menu first since they like to switch up their menu everyday.

This place has an amazing selection of beer! The crowd is 21-35year olds. They have live bands on weekends. Friendly bar tenders! A nice patio. The only down side is that you cannot smoke on the patio so you have to leave your drink on the patio and walk 20 feet away from the restaurant to smoke. I haven't tried any of the food but it looks like they have a good enough selection if you feel like having some food with your beers.

What can I say? This place is simply amazing! Unparalleled beer selection, even for the most discerning of beer geeks. Incredible, knowledgeable, friendly staff. Delicious Tavern Fare, Tots are fantastic, If you love great beer then you are in the right place!

The day before New Years Eve, I called around to restaurants to make dinner reservations for my husband, myself and my sister-in-law and her boyfriend coming in from out of town. No one took them. When I called World of Beer the general manager Jeremey Sundheimer answered and told me they didn't take reservations however if I came in and asked for him he would do his best to find us a table. He worked his magic, the place was so busy but in no time at all he got us a great table and a wonderful server Steve Webb who although was slammed didn't show it. Great service. Jeremey then came to chat with us, how did he manage to have time to do so, I have no idea. We told him we were trying to get my sister-in-law to dance with us and Jeremey suggested the live band do a shout out for her to come to the dance floor, the next thing we knew she got her shout-out and had to go dance. Soon everyone was up and dancing. An amazing night great memories made thanks to World of Beer at Reston Town Center.

This place could have been a five star review. With no real bar scene in the area, WOB had huge potential to tap the market. However, the atmosphere is loud and crowded. Nothing is personal. Nothing has character. The bartenders/waitresses are so focused on moving seats, they make you feel guilty for asking details about specific beers on tap. One star for giant selection and one star for tv's. Minus 3 stars for rude bartenders, no seating, and frankly lack of excitement.

This wasn't my first time at world of beer but this was definitely my best experience. Must have been because it was a Sunday afternoon and he wild crowd was still at home recovering from the night before. I enjoy their long list of beers but still can't find any of my craft favorites (hint hint WOB you need some travelers beer) it's also really neat that you can look through all the beer options on the iPad they have at the table to save the server a headache. the giant pretzel is HUGE and delicious except that it costs $3.75 to add beer cheese!!! Shouldn't that come with it? Or at least be a reasonable up charge? The spinach artichoke dip is alright, I'm partial to artichoke dips served with pita, which this one was. Overall a good experience but a pricey one.

  • Brittany M.

Very pricey for lunch. Spent about $50 for 3 beers and 2 appetizers. There is a good selecrion of craft beers on tap. The crab stuffed pretzel was warm creamy amazing, but small. The loaded beer cheese fries were even more amazing. How could you get so much complex flavor out of that?? Candied bacon and fresh jalapenos top it. Mmmm..

The beer selection is insane! Over 500 beers is overwhelming but also exciting! Sometimes, when you go to a bar with lots of beer, the food is just meh. WOB has yummy foods to pair with your beer, whether you're looking for a snack or a full meal! We got the Flat iron steak sandwich (with Mac and cheese) and the Reuben with fries! I recommend all of it! Get extra aioli that's on the steak sandwich to eat with the fries! We will be back!

I guess for my first visit and first review I spoke too early, and had lucked out with that particular visit. Came here Friday night for a girl friends birthday and from the second I walked in all I wanted to do was get the heck out of there. It was too packed, which I could have dealt with but it was extremely annoying and overwhelming. There was nowhere to sit or stand so we were constantly in everyone way, unable to stand still longer than 5 seconds because we had to continually shift around. Servers were S.C.R.E.A.M.I.N.G. at customers to get out of the way, very obviously angry, and that just pissed me off. It's your managers fault for allowing the bar to go over capacity (which it very clearly was) and you're taking it out on the already frustrated people who want to drink and have a good time? Get it together. That was the straw that broke the camels back and we paid for our extremely weak drinks and got out, promising to never return again. The tacos aren't good enough to get me to go through any of that again!

I really like the selection of beers that they have to offer. RTC really needed a "go to spot for craft beers". However, I am not very impressed with the food my friends and I had the pretzels, loaded fries (nothing loaded about it), wings, and the chips and salsa. Everything seemed very mediocre and not very impressed with the presentation. They do not offer any happy hour specials besides $1 off on draft beers. Overall this place isn't the ideal place for me and my coworkers to grab drinks and food after a long day of work.

  • Evan L.

The food and beer is great but the service is inconsistent and unreliable. Sometimes it takes awhile to get an order in and I've had food I ordered forgotten about on a few occasions. A separate visit had me waiting for 30 minutes before I could even get a server to acknowledge me for a drink order. That said, if you go when it's not too busy you'll enjoy the beer on tap and some of the appetizers. It's nice that Reston Town Center has more of a sports bar and you get crowd with World of Beer. Much cooler vibe than Jackson's or American Tap Room. Just beware that though you could have a great time at World of Beer, it might also be an experience of frustrating service.

  • Rebecca S.

Great selection of beer--bottles and drafts. The food was ok as I have definitely had better pub fare in the Reston area. My biggest grip was with the service. Several waitstaff saw us walk in and wait in the foyer for a table, but no one told us for over 5 minutes that we could sit anywhere. I had to approach several staff members who appeared to be "hanging out" to ask whether we should sit down. Once we sat down it took several servers to walk by us several times before anyone helped us with our order. Might try it one more time since the beer selection is rather impressive.

I finally went here with friends and hosted a 50th birthday party. The staff were very nice except for one donkey who drew the DMZ of waiting tables thru the middle of our group and was bitchy about it. For a place with no seating policy that was a dick move. But the one server was nice and knew his beer making great recommendations. The soft pretzel was super yummy. I'll go back again, avoiding that waitress if I see her.

The bartenders here are ridiculously awesome. They give great recommendations based on what you like, and give tastes before you commit. Awesome service tailored to each patron!

It is what it is. You are packed in like cattle to drink beer and watch sports and whatever marginal band they may or may not have playing. The only thing I have eaten was the pretzel and it was good. Been twice and the service was great once when it was packed and horrible when the place was empty. Mixed feelings about this place but RTC has limited options for the type of venue (sports bar / live music).

    (3)
  • Jeremy C.

World of Beer, great place for those who love having a massive choice of beer to drink all in the same place. With I think over 600 different bottle beers and about 50 on tap if you can't find a beer you like you probably drink Bud Light, Miller Lite, Heinekens, or Coronas regularly.

  • Lunkinator B.

Everybody knows the Lunkinator likes to cap off a day of intense pec workout with an adult beverage. So I jumped in my roommate's car (without asking) and brought my sore pecs to WoB. I was disappointed with the bartender's lack of knowledge on beer and also the loud club music was not conducive to my beer drinking experience. Now hold on, I know you know that the Lunkinator likes to get down and boogie at the clubs and that be the truth but when I just want to lean back and drink the evening away, club music is not in the cards.

Wide variety of beers all over the world. Their ipad system may be a little overwhelming to understand and finding a beer this way may take a longer than expect but their filters are helpful. We ordered the pretzel and it was delicious.

  • Barbara L.

Service here is painfully slow!! It took way too long for our beers to arrive not to mention our food. And when it was time to get our check we literally had to ask for it FIVE times. I'm not kidding.

  • Tzeitel B.

The place its self is pretty cool looking, the layout of the tables was a bit of a mess- people were squished and servers couldn't really navigate very well. The server we had was one of the worst servers I've ever had..... Anywhere! She rarely check in on us and when she did was clearly irritated that we ordered something..... Rolling her eyes?!? I don't know that I need to go back to this one...... Maybe if I can get a better server?!?

  • May S.

I was so excited to hear that a WOB was opening in RTC! The excitement ended however, when it took 30 minutes to order a beer. 30 minutes to be recognized by a bartender, or server. This was on a Thursday evening, no later than 7pm. When my friends and I were eventually allowed to order, the server was super rude! She made it very clear to us, a group of 4 girls, that we were not her priority. She then went on to hang around 3 or 4 tables surrounded by men, flirting and chit chatting away. I wouldn't have been upset at all (go 'head girl!) but by the time we got our first drinks, my beer bottle was so warm it had no condensation around it. I asked for a cold glass, and she lied to me and said they were out. I saw the bar tender using them right behind her... I've been a few times since, but each time it just gets worse and worse. Such a shame, because RTC could use a fun bar-type establishment, but I don't think it'll be WOB.

  • Josh D.

I have no idea how this low class sham of a chain is still in business at RTC, but looking at all the obvious fake reviews on this site help guide the sheep I guess. The service is garbage, the food is garbage and the scene is garbage - unless you're a punk or a working girl guess. Every time I walk in here it's work to get someone's attention for some overprice and tired beer. When you have that much beer - stock is sitting and it's not fresh and it tastes like it. There is plenty of good beer everywhere - no reason to degrade yourself to come to this place to get it.

  • Andrey K.

Visited this "awesome" bar Sunday afternoon hoping to watch a soccer game. No hostess - sit yourself at a dirty table and than hope that somebody approaches you. The place was not too busy, couple tables open. Sit there from 11th minute of the game until the 42nd (that is 31 minutes) and nobody even bothered to approach or offer menus. In other cases I wouldnt even wait 10 but this time was too interested in the game. By the half time I finally asked one of the female servers if we could get a menu or some kind of service, to what she responded "There should be someone taking care of this table" and walked away!! With that being said we turned around and left to watch the second half at home. Athmosphere - 2 out of 5 - brick walls and dirty tables (they just opened) Service - 0 out of 5 - clearly no service at all Menu - 0 out of 5 didnt even get to see I am assuming the restaurant didnt need my business - well, rest assured, you won't get any e and I will make a point to "recommend" this establishment to all my friends in Reston whom I have a lot.

Okay, but overpriced beer and food. Hit or miss service. Tasty burgers and good fries (think McDonalds). Small portions on the overpriced appetizers (calamari and wings). Open and cavernous. Plenty of sports TV screens but most seating is at crowded tables on the floor. You need to ask for salt, pepper, condiments and cutlery. Paper napkins. Excellent beer selection, but there are way better choices in RTC and environs if you are in the mood for a Miller Lite.

If this were the year 1994, the name of this joint was 'Old Chicago' and it was located in Colorado, it might be a novel concept. Today it is tired and the "cutesy" 8-bit beer-list app on a caged iPad is far from inspiring. What next? My own personalized mug when I've been around the "world"?

To borrow from other reviewers--I really wanted to like this place, I too expected better. Now I realize it is nothing but a gimmick. The place is just trashy. To begin--shame on Boston Properties for allowing an establishment like this into the town center. The crowd is young (detached, uncaring) raucous, and boorish, and they smoke outside on a non-smoking sidewalk. As does the WOB staff. Yes, the music is deafening on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. I am suprised Boston Properties allowed this establishment to be situated underneath a residential building instead of a business building. And I am surprised Boston Properties allows WOB to remain open until 2:00am some nights. For instance--Il Fornaio is located underneath another residential community, and Il Fornaio was directed to close at 11:00pm. The other loud, raucous late-night establishments in RTC (American Tap Room, McCormick & Schmicks, Jackson's) are all located underneath business office buildings. Who cares if they are open until 2:00am?! There is nobody above them, laying in bed, listening to horrible 311 cover bands through their walls but trying to sleep. The apartment community WOB is underneath is considered a "luxury" commuinity, but having WOB on the premises (and the obnoxious CVS signs) does not seem like a positive addition to further this image. During my visits to WOB, the waitstaff have been rude to my table, not making eye contact, and overall immature, detached, disinterested, and disenaged. Unprofessional. It is common to hear waitstaff complaining about other patrons. Several visits the waitstaff were louder than the patrons. The food is frozen, and nothing notable. But that is not my complaint. My complaint is that it takes so long for the food to be delivered to the table. On an ordinary Saturday night, it took ~35 minutes for our food to be delivered to our table after our server gave us the "your food's almost out"s several times. The selection of beer is vast, and plenty of unique brews to select from. My table's beer was delivered to us lukewarm. My wife (not a beer drinker) was told that they ran out of red wine. Amazing. Based upon my experience, WOB is unprepared to handle large-volume nights. They ran out of glasses during one World Cup afternoon. That same afternoon, my food was never delivered to my table, yet I was charged. Instead of dealing with the waitstaff, I just paid the bill and left.

Have been to this place twice, once on a Friday night and once on a Sunday - Friday was crazy packed, but we were able to snag a table. Great beer selection that is constantly changing (good for variety, sad if they change out a beer you love). Amazing pretzels!!

Probably the worst service I've ever experienced at a bar. "Seat yourself" equals not getting service for 20 minutes. Order a beer? Don't expect it for 10 minutes. This place is losing thousands of dollars because they are SLOW. Great beers. Terrible service. Arlington location is MUCH better. Won't be coming back here.

On business and walked around Reston for a place to eat, drink, and catch a game on TV. The bar here did the trick. Great selection of beer from around the world and the Chimay Burger was awesome. Of course I hadn't eaten in 17 hours......but it WAS awesome. Try it.

This place is alright. The name clearly states world of beer so you can definitely expect a ton of great beer. Granted, it can be pricey but you pay for craft. As far as the food goes, it's pretty mediocre. I wouldn't come here for dinner, just drinks. Expect to feel like a sardine packed in a can if you come here on a weekend. You will have to fight for a table and fight for space. Their table concept is first come first serve...so you will most likely end up being one of those annoying hovering people if you want to snag a table on a busy night. And it's always busy. Overall good fun.

Beer comes out quick, food takes FOREVER. Been here 50 minutes now and our appetizer hasn't shown up!!! This is bullshit. First time here, and it's not looking good.

We sat outside waiting for the server to acknowledge us which never happened even after 15 minutes. We get that its new and busy so waited a little longer, still no service. We finally decided to go inside to get our own beer from the bar. The bartenders were not knowledgeable of what stock they had. One would say something is kicked and immediately another one would serve it up. On top of that they ran out of most things on tap which is really why people go to wob in the first place, the great selection of beers on tap. All in all bad service, people standing around and walking fast to nowhere. Hopefully this gets better with time as they're still new, but ive been going to Arlington wob since opened, never had these problems.

This place can be summed up in two words: Horrible Service. I was extremely excited that a place with such a huge beer menu was opening up so close to my house, and I was convinced this place would make it into my regular rotation. Unfortunately, the overall experience of going here is not something that you would want to subject yourself to on a regular basis. I've been here 3 times now, neither of which was great, but it is my most recent occasion that was so horrible I feel obliged to warn the Yelp community. It was a Sunday afternoon and we wanted to sit on the patio to enjoy a few drinks with some light appetizers. It took 15 minutes of sitting idly at the table before the waitress decided to saunter up and give us the menus. We ordered immediately, drinks and three appetizers: the pretzel, the hummus and some charcuterie platter with sausage and pickles. We received our drinks and pretzel in a timely manner, but have to flag down the waitress to get plates. We then wait for another **45** minutes before I have to flag her down again to ask about the rest of our food and to get new drinks. After another 15 minutes watching tables next to us get their food and drink we were finally served our food along without so much as an explanation or apology. (FYI, this was not during the World Cup, and it was not busy at the time) My Advice: If you're looking for a place to relax with friends and have a quick beer, keep looking.

Cool concept, but way over priced. My husband and I got a mini beer sampler each and it came to $35 with tip! We had a really nice waiter, but we felt jipped. Even joining the loyalty club requires you to pay $15, which we didn't bother doing. Definitely won't be coming here for Redskins games.

Their beer is good and the lives brands they have on the weekend are good aswell. The only recommendation I would give is remove the tables during the weekends for a nice dance floor! :)

I wanted to like this place. The concept is good. My husband and I sat outside on a nice day wanting to try lunch. The food was generic in taste and we seemed to be forgotten as we waited for lunch then a pretzel that came at the end of our order instead at the beginning and without the beer cheese that comes with it. We had to ask several times without much success. Finally we waited and waited for our bill and ended up leaving cash because we had to leave. Maybe when they iron out some of there "just opened" wrinkles we might give it one more try . However, they need to improve quite a bit before we come back again.

  • Jim T.

Horrible service. That is the bottom line. I like the variety of beers they have, or seem to have, but really with horrible service like this, nothing will make up for it. The prices are too high as well. When I pay top dollar for a beer, I want a good tasting beer, with good service, and that is cold. I got one luke warm beer, and one cold one. It took forever to get service, and then it was poor. They could also not explain the beers. the only reason I am giving this two stars is the amount of different beer offerings. This could be an amazing and highly successful place, but service needs to go up, and prices need to go down.

Had high expectations - was hoping for a real beer place with real laid back people interested in good beer. Ended up with a terrible headache trying to hear my friend across the table from me over the loud noise and blaring club music that changed to 90's pop. I'm not sure who their target audience is, but it doesn't seem to be anyone over the age of 25. Small food portions, but it was good. My friend (gluten free) tried to order wine but they were out of ALL whites and a few reds. I know it isn't a wine place, but if you are going to offer a nice selection of wine, you should at least have some - any- in stock. Wait staff was average. Not great. Wiped beer and food off my own seat and the waiter never picked up the soiled napkin that I had to fetch from the bar myself. Very disappointed.

World of Beer Reston is fantastic! I have been twice since it opened and have not been disappointed. The staff is beyond friendly and will help you with any questions you have about the beer, food, or anything else they can! The beer selection is unreal, and the food tastes GREAT!! I attended the trivia night this Tuesday and had the best time! District Trivia is a fantastic company that hosts an entertaining and challenging trivia night. My team came in first and won a WOB Growler. At first it came to us empty, but after asking the General Manager Jeremy if the prize could also include beer he gladly filled the growler up with our choice of beer. It couldn't have been a more positive experience! I highly recommend trivia night at WOB!

I've never written a yelp review, but the terrible experience at this world of beer location warrants this 1-star review. The first issue came when a fellow patron at my table ordered a Victory session IPA. The beer that was brought to the table was black...when we asked the server, she said "yes, that's what you ordered." When asked if she was sure that was a session ipa she responded with the same. Another patron at the table made another polite comment that perhaps it wasn't the right beer, and our server rudely interrupted with, "he got exactly what he ordered." Little did the server know that she was serving brewery employees whose job it is to make beer for a living. You would think the servers at an establishment claiming to be a "beer" bar would know something about beer. Clearly not the case. We thought maybe the paper that came out on the burger was payback, but at least they comped the burger. If you know nothing about beer and want a terrible beer experience, then this world of beer location is for you. If you know even a little bit about beer, then you know more than everyone that works at this world of beer location.

Decided to try this place out early (before 6:00) on a Wednesday night. The place was packed and very noisy. The approach is more bar than restaurant which is fine, but it makes it difficult to find a place to sit. Folks standing around the bar and other areas jump to seats as soon as they are vacant. Fortunately, the staff worked to find us a table and we were seated within 30 minutes. Service was slow and inaccurate (we went through three servers) and the food was cold when finally delivered after a long wait. Great concept, and the food was good, just cold. Crazy selection of beer, but out of the four i ordered for a flight, one was already gone. They are not set up to handle so many people. Prices are high, but not too far off for the area. We will try it again after the novelty wears off and revisit this review.

If you are going to drink here, make sure to find Sina. He is AMAZING. When you sit at the bar, he comes up and introduces himself and makes sure he learns your name. He is VERY attentive and really goes up and beyond to make you enjoy your experience at World of Beer. I'm not a person that normally uses Yelp to give good reviews-- usually use it to warn others-- but this guy is too good not to recommend. He also had a great upbeat personality. My fiancé and I enjoyed watching the UGA game at the bar with this guy working! Would come back again if season wasn't over!

Food was good. Drinks were great. Service is always awesome for us. We sit at the bar. I'm not a beer drinker so it apparently is some challenge to get me to like it because I always get a ton of free samples they think I'm going to like. They've hit the nail on the head a couple of times! Regardless, cocktails are tasty and generous. They are truly a cool bunch. :)

Reston Town Center has been in a state of transformation for quite some time and will probably continue to be into the forseeable future. The problem with expansion, especially when catering to the upper class, is the quality of a business usually deteriorates somewhere along the line. World of Beer is a prime example. The service my friends and I experienced was lousy; server looked uninterested and took way too much time in delivering us our drinks and check at the end (this is part of why we took ourselves and our money next door). Our table ordered one hummus app and a calamari app. The hummus was TERRIBLE. I promise I'm not exaggerating. It was chunky, not smooth, and had zero taste. The calamari was plain, lukewarm, and had the tiniest dollop of marinara sauce for dipping. If we had paid even 2/3 of the menu price for these items, I may not have been as irritated. The beers we ordered were good, but I do not recommend the overpriced, underflavored food.

Ok so the place is nice but we went here for lunch. Our wings took over 45 mins to come out. When you only have an hour for lunch, you might want to think twice coming here until they get their stuff together. I ended up taking a 2 hour lunch for some beers, wings and a burger.

OMG this place is a train wreck. The beer is great but the service is so bad that that the people in my group are screaming expletives. It's just not fair to tempt people with awesome beer then not bring them their beer for 30+ minutes. This truly sucks. Stay away until they get their operation straight. Maybe bar rescue will show up and get them in line.

This bar had an outstanding selection of beers but unfortunately my friends, that is the only good comment about the establishment. The service is quite slow. The layout of tables causes the bar to be over crowded. And WORST of all the beer is lukewarm. When paying anywhere from 5-12 dollars for a beer I expect it to be ice cold. Two stars is generous

Went here for a company happy hour a few weeks back. There wasn't enough seating so they legitimately told us "you can stand at the bar." REALLY? i wasn't aware I can stand at the bar, but thanks! After someone was kind enough to let us take his table, we were waited on very quickly and effitently. The service was fast, the food was fresh and we were always stocked up on beer. Good place to watch games and hang with a group of friends. GREAT pretzels and BBQ chicken pizza.

Me and three friends went to WOB for Halloween night. We ordered the mac and cheese, Chimay Burger, some wings and the friend calamari. All were mediocre at best. The food didn't come out incorrectly, the real problem is that the food was served the way you wanted it to. And the food was rather tasteless. The cheese burger tasted like nothing but cheese. I could get a better burger down the street at Five guys or Outback. The mac and cheese, unfortunately not that great and just tasted like too much cheese again. The fried calamari was lacking - it was like getting half the portion you would anywhere else. On top of that the calamari came out on this weak looking bed of lettuce instead of serving us with a decent real portion presented nicely. I guess that was okay in some strange way, because it was bad anyway, and who wants more bad food. Go taste the calamari at Jackson's a block away or the calamari at Firebox in Clarendon and tell me if you would ever eat this calamari again. I had been at WOB before and knew the food selection was limited, as this is really a beer place and not a food place, but my girlfriend had agreed to meet some friends there already and we weren't going to change the plans. I would recommend that people do not order food here. In total, I spent $50 with tip for the food and I wouldn't order any of it again. That is sad. There is really no reason to not serve a burger. , wings, mac and cheese or fried calamari well. Look WOB, I know you were busy last night, but it wasn't about getting the food right. You did that. You served what you wanted to. Service was great and friendly and even the live music was pretty good. The food was just mediocre. And by that, I mean a really disappointing and not encouraging to ever eat there again. And I eat out almost every night and live around the corner. If you have any interest in appealing to your community, you will consider changing your ways. I hope someone reads this in your management who cares about keeping your business alive and takes action. I think you need to go back to the drawing board and re-sketch your menu. I think you need to hire a real chef for your place and not just consider yourself a beer place. II don't think you realize how many options people have to eat around here - not just in Reston, but in the larger area. If you serve really mediocre food, you will lose business, and you will unfortunately be out of business soon. There is nothing so far on your menu that makes me want to return to eat at your establishment again. Just sad!

First time visiting a wob. We got there on a Friday afternoon around 430. Hostesses were all congregated and took a while to tell us we could seat ourselves. We seat ourselves and after 10min or so a scruffy dude notices us and says something about not being our server but he can get us something while we are waiting. After about 20min he brings us our drinks and takes the food order. So he was our server afterall. My wifes margarita had no tequila in it. We wait a long time for the food and the server to come back. During this time we see him bsing with other servers and hostesses and even taking a break to eat a sub sandwich. We see all of this. We see groups of employees just huddled together, laughing, drinking, and all in plain sight. So the food wasnt bad. The check comes and the stupid margarita is still on it. We get it removed and promptly get out of there. This was a very dissapointing experience overall. Poor service and a strange environment where its unclear whos doing what, whos actually working, and just general confusion and disinterest.

Only been here on weekdays (Wednesdays) around 4pm and it's pretty dead (Yes!!, I can claim an area so that when the other friends start coming there is seating for them). After 5pm...good luck, please gets crowded. There is an outside area but it's pretty tight as it's a sliver of a line). Around 5:30ish or something music starts to come on and it's loud in there with the combo of people talking that you start yelling at the person next to you. Can't complain about the amount of beers they have overall there (500+ from all over the world). They have these ipads sometimes at each table (my battery died so they told me to download the free app since it was the same thing - cool...but why would I want to read about each one...just give me a menu or better yet tell me what is good since you should be an expert there right? Ha!). Lots of TVs there to watch games (which is the best in the town center for now). Typical bar food (nothing stood out for me). Service was good (no complaints). I would go there again just to watch games, HH, but never for a dinner if you trying to talk to people.

World of Beer has a great selection of beer as you would expect however I am not going to pay $7.50 for A Guinness. Way over priced. I won't be back.

I love this place my girlfriend and I usually visit it on a sunday or a monday when its not that busy. The beer selection is awesome and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable with helping me find a beer thats right for me. My bar tenders are usually Sam, Ceno, and George I don't stray away from them because they give me honestly the best service in the house. They're extremely quick even when they are swamped and honestly you have to expect to wait a little bit when you're in the hottest spot in RTC. I've actually noticed some of they're reviews are quite poor on service but what do you expect when the bar is 100 people deep asking for something to drink at the same time. It has to literally be impossible to serve that many people with 50 taps constantly changing in a timely manner these people are only human and they really bust their asses off trying to get to everyone as quick as possible. All and all the staff is quite amazing and friendly and the beer list is extravagant. I would recommend this place to anyone that is a beer drinker or someone looking for a place to relax.

sad, sad, sad, got same response from management, why the slow service food not cooked right, and beer selection not available "we just opened", guys you bring your Ateam and effort forward, it's known that you must excel especially in the beginning to ensure repeat customers and good pr vibe, again sad.

Been here several times and each time, the food has been delicious and service is great. Of course you gotta try some new beers because their selection is enormous. Don't stick to the regular stuff! Though happy hour is $1 off domestic. My favorite is the blueberry beer, can't remember the name but its so good. WOB is located right next to Bartaco, which is down on the other end of RTC behind Jackson's. It's usually not too bad on weekdays and weekends afternoon, night time is crazy packed. They have live bands, trivia night and some other events throughout the weekdays. The beer pretzel is one huge pretzel that comes out on a hook, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and a bit of salt (I just take the salt off). It comes out with a choice of yellow mustard, dijon or brown mustard and you can get the beer cheese for extra. Of course the beer cheese is the best, not a huge fan of mustard anyways. I am a huge fried pickle fan and the frickles here are just OK. The outer layer is too thick and not as seasoned as I like. I still get them though. The beer cheese fries is one of my favorite apps. Its simple with sour cream and bacon but that beer cheese just makes it 10 times better. The Margherita flatbread pizza is the best thing on the menu. It's a pesto sauce with fresh argula on top and drizzled with a sweet balsamic glaze. Drooool! You have to try it. Overall, it's a great place to hang out and try new beers! The prices are not overpriced and the food portion is pretty decent. I've never had a problem with customer service as everyone is nice and the servers usually help each other out. Do come early on weekend nights because it will get packed quickly and the place is fairly small. Now that I work close by...this place might start to be a problem for HH.

WOB has been open for over a year now and I visited the place several times before updating my review. One star down; in fact the place would merit one star total if not for the selection of beer. They are in serious need of an environment overhaul. I went there a few weeks ago to watch the Nats game on a Sunday afternoon; the place was not as crowded as normal, the average age of patrons there was over 35, yet they insisted on playing God awful whatever music (some merging of hip hop, house, and teeny bopper pop) at top level. It was enough to make me down my beer and leave to watch the game at another RTC joint. I saw it was coming from the iPod of an employee. So the music is for the staff, not the customers. If they cared about the customers, they'd put in a juke box (as nearby CarPool has done) so the customers can put something tolerable in. The staff is hit or miss; either in your face attentive, or blasé. Food prices too high for the basic pub fare you receive. I hope to try WOB again but was so angry last time that I probably won't

Obviously they have a huge selection of beer. It's a great place to hang out with friends, but when it does get busy, it is VERY crowded. I've never had food here before, but will be back to try soon. If you like beer and trying to things, I would definitely recommend this place to try out as their selection is quite large.

I love to go to World of Beer when I take the metro out to Reston Towncenter. When I exit the silver line there is a bike path that quickly takes you to the Towncenter. I think WOB is one of the better bars in the Reston Towncenter. It has some decent bar food but c'mon, you better be going for the beer! It is always an experience, usually a live band is playing or it is trivia night, either way it's usually always packed. If you are lucky enough to grab a table, you wait quite a while for drinks but the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in making selections. The pretzel is really good to munch on while you grab different types of crafty beer! There are over 500 different beers from more than 40 countries, so you better not settle for your normal Bud Light. Grab a local/Virginia brewed beer like Port City [Alexandria], Hardywood [Richmond], or Alewerks [Williamsburg]. Overall, its a legit place to grab a pint in the towncenter area. I will continue to stop by on my travels out to Reston.

I was not expecting to like a place known for beer since I don't drink beer but there I was, sitting at an outdoor bar table enjoying delicious mixed artisanal cocktails one summer night. And guess what? Both drinks I had were great! In addition to all the beers, expect to find an appealing food menu and very classy, unique mixed drinks. The drinks here are the real deal and they are done right.

I came to World of Beer on a night a friend was playing a gig there, and I happened to have a gift card, thanks to the wonderful world of Yelp! While the gift card made things fabulous, I unfortunately couldn't use it to pay for adequate table space or a personal bubble guard. This place was PACKED! And LOUD... Not at all what I imagined. It had that Arlington bar scene going, but it was filled mainly with men in their 30s, rather than college kids. So I suppose it wasn't as bad as it could be, but this place is not good if you want to hang out with friends at a table and chat over a couple pints. The beer selection was pretty good though, I will admit. But the food was ridiculously priced. I ordered mac and cheese - it was $6, but it really should have been maybe $3 with the tiny morsel they give you. It reminded me of a grocery store free sample cup - even the dish it comes in looks like a Reeses peanut butter cup wrapper (see photo). Also, their pretzels were pretty good, but not as good as Dogfish Head. The flatbread was tasty. If the atmosphere was more roomy, I think I would have enjoyed the experience far more than I did. I also think the food is overpriced for the quality. If you want good beer and good food, I'd go to Dogfish instead.

It has a very large and awesome variety of beer, the bar has a giant fridge of bottled beers and they have a lot of beers on tap. The food is pretty good too, the pretzels are here are huge, buttery and delicious and they come with a spicy beer cheese. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, but very loud and can get crowded very quickly. They have a built in stage for live music on the weekends and the staff members are pretty relaxed.

This place had great service when they first opened. My last three visits to WOB have been the absolutely worst, if it wasn't for the beer I would NEVER come back. Maybe they should just serve beer and not food, because their food service absolutely sucks. They either don't bring your food out, or they mess up your order up and you have to remind them to the point where you just get so fed up and cancel your order. Long story short don't order food at WOB.

This place tends to get busy and I understand but certainly can improve on service. It's world of beers and they use unified system where all employees are able to communicate to each other. If you are out of five beers that I happened to choose out of all (from their menu) and you have to go back each time and waste 30 minutes of my time, I see an issue right there. It's not my job figure out what you don't have, because I am paying for every single one of them. Granted they have lots of selection but it's your job to know what you went out of that night as it's easier to write that down on your pad than trying to remember what you sell, right? I mean it only makes sense. Also we ordered an appetizer, went to the table behind us, we predicted that would've been the case, 20 minutes passed by, our waitress had no idea what's going on because their "food runner" couldn't pay attention and too busy being on his phone, someone must have been hurt otherwise why should you be texting while delivering the food to the customer?! It certainly is a mystery and that's not how I run my business. Waitress finally realized our food went to another table, and said "oh sorry, another one will come out in seconds".. Now, I have a problem when people say that because it's obviously not a valid statement. First of all if it was going to be ready in seconds, you wouldn't have come to me for the third time and food which was supposed to be out in seconds would be on my table. Second, mistake was already made and you are at fault, this would be your queue, now, to set the right expectation. I'm sorry I didn't know what we have on tap, I am also sorry I didn't know where your food went and I will make sure you get your food this time in 5-10 minutes & thank you.

I've been here a few times when I lived closer. Wanting to go back again soon for the blueberry beer and pretzel with beer cheese ! Just have to be in the mood to deal with the drive and traffic on a Friday or Saturday night ! The place is ALWAYS packed, it's pretty hard to find a table and don't even bother trying to get a spot at the bar. However, every time I've gone, the service has been great ! I'm not a beer person at all what so ever and I absolutely love the blueberry beer ! I would recommended this place to anyone !

Along with about 5,000 other persons, I enjoyed some of the second round of March Madness here. Even though the Hoyas went down to the Runnin' Utes, I passed a most enjoyable evening and was impressed by how this establishment handled things. World of Beer had a game plan and was ready for the crush: floor crews accommodated and hustled big time; food was nicely done and delivered fast; and samples of beer flowed. I had a lovely seared ahi tuna with a killer ginger dipping sauce that merits an honorable mention. And two beers, a porter and a stout, that I imbibed for the first time were satisfying--Champion's Megaladon and Laughing Dog's The Dogfather. One more star is deserved.

World of Beer is the place I end up getting dragged to by friends and wondering why I'm there almost every time. Of the times I've gone (about 10-15 at this point), I have honestly only had a good server a few times. I wish I knew the name of the lady who, as far as I have seen, is the only one on top of her tables so I could give her a shout out. Besides that one server, I have had quite a few times where nobody even came to my table to take my order, my server disappeared, and one time the server completely forget to put in my friends food order (so he got his burger 1.5 hrs after ordering it when we reminded the server). The food is okay - it's decent, but with so many other places in town center you can find things that are better. I do like doing their sampler of beer sometimes, but as someone who isn't a big beer drinker, I find their other offerings (cocktails and wine) to be a bit overpriced and lacking. It's a good place to watch a sports game, but (and maybe I'm just getting old/lazy), the stools that they have are sort of uncomfortable to sit on for extended periods of time.

I have been here twice now, and I love how extensive their beer line-up is! Came here last week (on what happened to be their Trivia Night) with an old friend from high school, and we sat at the bar kiddie-corner to the beer fridge. We had several different bartenders, the best of whom was a blonde girl who gave us some sort of lemon shots of which she had extra. My friend and I split the local (Virginia) flight, and it was great! Will have to keep the piece of paper with the names next time (one of the guy bartenders was nice enough to write down the names of the beer as well as the affiliated brewery). I also had an awesome slightly cinnamon-y beer that I loved- wish I had paid attention to the name but I will no doubt be back again soon! We also ordered the fried pickles to split, and they were divine. Fried pickles go so well with beer! ;) Bottom line: service is pretty efficient/their bartenders are friendly enough, their food is tasty- good 'bar food', no shortage of beers from which to choose- and I hear they change their selection often- I only wish the seating at the bar wasn't quite so cramped (and the chairs are ridiculously heavy, ha!) but all in all, this is a pretty convenient (coming from Vienna to Reston) find and I will be back again soon!

It is WAY too damn loud in here. There is a great drinks menu, a great crowd, and a fun vibe in here, but it's hard to enjoy all that because of the volume of noise in this bar. You have to yell just to be heard. If there's live music, you can't hear each other at all, and are left rushing to squeeze in conversation between songs. Overall, if they can find a way to reduce the noise, possibly with just some sound-absorbing padding on the walls or something, this would be a fantastic place. But the prospect of bleeding eardrums usually forces me to go to Carpool or (god forbid) Tysons Corner for my hangouts.

World of Beer just opened this past week so I decided to check it out. My husband and I arrived on a Saturday around 11:30 am. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and decided to head to the bar. At the time, there were only a few people there. Once seated, bartenders were quick to greet us and get us set up. We were given menus as well as an iPad to browse the beverage menu. Decisions were made and our first round of drinks were ordered. While enjoying round 1, we decided to order an appetizer. We went with the pretzel with a side of beer cheese. The pretzel arrived in a timely fashion hanging from a hook. It was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with a hint of butter and salt. The side of beer cheese was so delicious, ooey gooey goodness with a little kick. Thankfully it was served in a small bowl so there was plenty to go around. After another round of drinks we decided to order some food. My husband went with the pepperoni and sausage flatbread and I had the bbq chicken flatbread. We had ordered the half size originally but a small error landed us with a full size each. No complaints from us on that one as we were both satisfied with our food. I ended up getting a box to take half of mine home. Over the next few hours we continued to drink and engage our bartenders in conversation. Each one was attentive and fun to chat with. A few were better than others (Anna is so great!). It's a great atmosphere and an overall better experience than the Ballston location. The crowd is older and a lot less Broey McBroster than Arlington (thank god!). Given the fact that we were drinking for a significant portion of the day (almost 5 hours) I was not shocked by our $170 tab. It is definitely easy to rack up a hefty tab given the amazing beer list. My second beverage was a $16 bottle. During our visit we tried drafts, bottles, cask, and even a few beer cocktails. Anna made me something yummy with Bold Rock cider and Framboise. If you plan on being a return visitor, sign up for the club program. For $15 you get a tshirt and each beverage (bottle or draft) earns you a point. As you accumulate points, certain milestones will earn you goodies. Plus on Tuesdays, members get 25% off of bottles. If you're not using Untappd, WOB even has an app to track your beverages.

Let's get the easy things out-of-the-way. The burger was delightful, and the beer was tasty, plentiful, and cold. Nothing to complain about there. I came in specifically because Honor brewery was rolling out a new Honor IPA in memory of a great guy who gave his life in Afghanistan. When I asked the bartender about it, she just flat out told me that they didn't serve that brand of beer there. I could see the Honor Brewing Company paperwork sitting there on the counter, I pointed it out to her, and she just shook her head at me and said "nope." Mind you, I had just seen The Honor brewing company truck drive away from the front of the restaurant. Apparently it was just pure ridiculous coincidence that I was asking about a brand of beer and they happen to have advertisements for that exact brand of beer sitting 5 feet away from me. I probably wouldn't have minded as much if the girl haven't treated me like I was an idiot. She actually said to me "well I'm the bartender, I know what we serve here." Oddly however when I asked if she had any Hefeweizen beer, she couldn't answer that question and had to refer to another bartender. As I was leaving, I saw the Honor IPA tap sitting right there on the bar next to a wrench waiting to be installed. Of course, that might've just been a coincidence. Good solid food, amazing beer selection, marginal customer service.

I have to say I have become more and more impressed with this place as I continue my quest to the 1,000 beer club! Since WOB opened, which a good beer bar was sorely needed in Reston, the servers have ramped up their beer knowledge. Have gotten to know many of the servers and feel like it is a home away from home. Beer menu is always changing so pretty much anytime I go in there I have many new beers to check out. Recently joined the 100 Beer Club and hope to get to 250 by the end of 2015. My mother told me it is always good to have goals. It has been hard work and lot's of training, but I think with more dedication I can get there. Although I will say, I thought I was the man when I got to 100, then the guy next to me has the 2,500 beer club shirt on. No that is NOT a typo he actually drank 2,500 different beers at WOB. I think he gets half off a liver transplant at that level. Needless to say he is my hero. Anyways, the only reason I can't give WOB a 5 is the food menu could use some tweaking and they really need to get on the ball with brunch. But I can't complain since there is finally a great beer bar in Reston that is clearly here to stay.

We tried WoB a second time with some friends. It was not quite as crowded this time so we were able to enjoy ourselves a little more. The waiter was great with beer suggestions based on what we described we liked. We started with a pretzel that the 4 of us shared. It was soooo good. Not sure what made it so good.......maybe the company we were with? Maybe how soft, fresh, hot, sweet it was? Maybe the beer cheese or mustard it was served with? I don't know but we really enjoyed it! Dinner was good......I had the BBQ chicken flat bread which was very good. Regular size was plenty after the pretzel. Friends had the tacos, burger and flat iron steak sandwich. Everyone would order everything again. Wish the seating options were a little better. Everyone doesn't love sitting like sardines on barstools. That's my biggest complaint. Will be back, I'm sure.......

Went last thursday night and it was pretty busy. some guy was playing acoustic guitar and doing HORRIBLE covers the entire time. service was pretty horrible and i was going to let it slide and chalk it off to it being busy but something really irked me that I couldnt let go... I ordered a $26 sour/wild beer from lost rhino off the extensive beer list. Our server (stephanie k) said she hadnt had it yet so she had no idea how it was like...fine, no problem. Put the order in for the 16 oz bottle, and also requested she brought 2 more snifter glasses so my friends at my table could also try it. 15-20 min later, she returns with the bottle and 3 pint glasses. Being from California, I drink A LOT of sour and barrel aged beers, and any beer enthusiast knows that proper beer should be served in proper glassware... I requested that she bring snifters instead of the pint glasses because I didnt feel comfortable drinking a wild beer out of a pint glass. Her response shocked me "um, we dont have any cause they are all broken"... ok..... I proceed to ask "how about a wine glass or a tulip, even just 1"...to this I stephanie rolls her eyes and gives me the MOST DIRTY look. I told her "im sure you hate me but I really dont feel comfortable AT ALL drinking a $26 wild beer from improper glassware". She responds "well um, i dont really have time for that cause we are really busy right now". Fine.... you dont have time to do your job, thats ok. At this point I am beyond blown at the way this has been approached. I mean, the word BEER is in the freakin name of the establishment. She walks away to talk to another table. I get up, call her name, and tell her to forget it and ill just ask the bartender... more dirty looks and shade from stephanie. I walk up to bar, tell the bartender I ordered the Lost Rhino Sour and would prefer to have 3 snifters instead of the pints stephanie brought. Bartender says NO PROBLEM and proceeds to get 3 clean snifter glasses....looked like they had about 8-10 more hanging above the taps...this only told me one thing..stephanie was too lazy to go ask the bartender for the proper glassware. I come back to the table and find that the beer is still sitting there, unopened. What I havent mentioned yet is...THIS IS A WAXED BOTTLE. Stephanie dropped the bottle and left me to figure it out on my own. Luckily my friend was a smoker so I was able to use his lighter to melt some of the wax and use the butt end of the lighter and some leverage to open it. At this point, any credibility this place has as a beer spot has gone out the window. Lack of presentation, service, glassware, and the attitude ive been shown over a simple request just made this a DO NOT VISIT for any of my friends visiting the area from california. anyway, I poured the beer for my friends and I, and for the rest of the evening, stephanie pretty much ignored me and only talked to my friends. We finished our food and our beers, and asked for the check...we just wanted to leave at this point. Stephanie dropped the checks and then DISAPPEARS for 15-20 more minutes. WTF? Why didnt she just stick around and wait for my friend to drop his card and me to drop my cash? We sit there patiently waiting. at this point, I want to speak to a manager. I ask another server who the manager on duty is... jeremy. I politely ask to speak with him ASAP. Thought it would be best to get a word in with the manager before we leave...nope.. no manager in site.....10 min later, stephanie finally comes back and grabs the check...no manager....5 min later...returns the check...no manager. we just decided to leave and I figured I would call and speak to the manager on the phone... nope.. only number listed online seems like its a mobile number and went to voicemail the 3-4 times i called that night and the next day. all in all, a crap experience. I frequent breweries and tasting rooms every week in california and im glad world of beer doesnt exist in california cause crap quality service like this wouldnt last a minute on the west coast where beer culture is huge. DO NOT VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT IF YOU APPRECIATE BEER.

Place has taken a nosedive since it first opened. Too much staff turnover, not well organized, and the place overall is dirty and way too small!!!!!!!!!!! My advice, train better staff and clean the place up for starters and stop blasting the place with horrible hip hop music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More like beers from the world. They have a really impressive list of beer from bottles too draft. They had an OK happy hour I think $1 off drafts from 5-8. If you get here come early because it gets packed and kinda crazy. I try and sit at the bar as its closer to the beer haha. The staff are nice and knowledge about beer. You may ask for samples and they will happily let you try some. I make it a challenge for them as I love beer and make them work for it. They get a 3 because let's be honest the food umm stop somewhere else before and just come for the beer. On that note I need to come back because the draft beer rotates fast here.

While I'm not a beer drinker, I have to say I quite liked World of Beer. It's a standard pub, large stools, open environment and with TVs every 4 inches away from each other, each and every one channeled to sports. It's definitely a loud environment during prime time or while sports are running, but that goes with the "sports bar" territory. Maybe a con for some, but it's worth knowing what you're getting into. Everything was on the up and up. We went with over a dozen people as part of a company meeting, and were there for about two hours. During the entire time service was top notch, though we had to flag down a server a few times. Not a huge deal given how busy they were, but it's definitely more of a "hands on" approach. All the staff were friendly and eager to help, and the staff were fairly knowledgeable about the menu. We started with a variety of apps. The German pretzel was good, though it's not a traditional German pretzel (tasted buttery, fried, unlike actual Duetsche bretzel). The beer cheese was really good, and the accompanying mustard went with it quite well. The battered shrimp were amazing (spicy, tangy and just ridiculously tasty). The spinach artichoke dip was also delicious. For entree, I had a Reuben. Pretty good overall, not too buttery or greasy, and definitely a good size. Only thing I didn't quite like was the mac and cheese. The noodles seemed too big for the actual portion size. with really giant noodles and it was missing the creaminess you generally expect from mac and cheese. Personal preference, really. For the beer drinkers they offer samples of their droughts in shotglass-style mini mugs to try out the beers. I found this a nice lil' addition, and definitely customer oriented. Respect! Overall? Yeah, I'd go back. Everything was good.

Good for beer. Really good for beer. Food is bad- the food is strictly to keep people sober and only desirable when you're not.

Regular bar food. Super loud atmosphere. Slow service, and other rude waiters. One actually bumped into my friend and told her to sit down until she was done serving the food. Ridiculous.

They have a please seat yourself model which doesn't work. We sat for at least 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. I noticed that the same thing was happening to others so it wasn't just us. When they bring out the food the guy was stopping by every table asking "is this yours" which in my opinion is sloppy and embarrassing for he business. The food was not great and yet not horrible. I only went here because it was a "work lunch." I would not have chosen this restaurant and will not return. There are so many other good options in RTC.

The sign as you walked in read "Please Seat Yourself". We sat at a table in the center for 15 minutes and nobody stopped by to serve us. No menus. Not even a "I will be with you." We saw others being served (food and drinks delivered) but not us. And the way other customers sat around their tables, it was not easy to walk up to the bar. At 15 minutes we left. I had hopes for this place (trying to look past the name), but I was very disappointed. Not in a hurry to come back. Date of Visit: 3/14/2015 - Wrote the review on my phone that night. Posted on 3/18.

Still pretty below average. I went there the day they opened a year ago. Today after a year they still are below average. Only their bar service is good probably due to the server. Cena. Very friendly. Food was bad. I ordered the Guinness brat sliders with tater tots. Looks like the tater tots were from a frozen bag from costco. And the brats were not Guinness braised or marinated. Tasted like regular frozen stuff. The pretzel bun was too dry. The beer selection is just average. There are a lot more places with better beer and food. For example try the dogfish head ale house in Chantilly/Fairfax. Give this place a miss unless you have no other choice (hard to believe anyone would not have other choices in Reston NOVA area).

WOB is always an experience; usually a live band is playing, it's always packed and crazy..you wait quite a while for drinks but the staff is very knowledgable and helpful in making selections. The pretzel is the best thing on the menu, huge, salty, sweet goodness! I will say though, get there early to snag a table and don't have a problem with people bumping you or stepping on you.

I enjoyed the SOUTHWEST BURGER. All-beef burger piled high with Jalapeño bacon, pepper jack cheese & chipotle mayo. Add avocado +1.5. Pair it with a Pale Ale. The burger, my first in months, was super delicious. Stop what you are doing and drive there right now. We heard a band last night (I can't recall the name of the band), they were good. I noticed they played early 80's hits and sounded great. A nice "band" stage, and tons of tables. People were singing and dancing with the band. I enjoyed a Kona Longboard lager - a fav of mine. Thanks to the guys at the bar -- great job as usual!

Well obviously you come to try different beers and earn badges in your untapped app, but they do have a restaurant as well. The beer selection itself was great. I do wish our server offered more advice when pairing beer with food than "yeah, that will go well with that..." It's mainly pub fare and beers. It would have been nice to know that a flight of 4, 4oz pours costs $12.50 while the average price for a pint glass was $7. So just meh, not terrible, not great.

The World of Beer location in Reston Town Center is A-OK. Nothing spectacular or out of this world, but it serves its purpose as a bar and eatery. I didn't order any drinks here. In fact, I had the very unique experience of getting one of their large pretzels to go. The pretzel was ENORMOUS. They had to cut it up to fit it into my To-Go container. They also gave me mustard to dip the pretzel in - cheese sauce costs extra, apparently. The pretzel was good, but nothing amazing. It wasn't really melt-in-your-mouth amazing, but it was fine. I did get really sick of the bread and mustard sauce after a while... On the whole, it was a strange experience. I think I'd stick with the appetizers and wine next time I visit a World of Beer.

I stopped in here for a drink with my husband after coming back from Thailand. We really wanted to have a beer in remembrance of one of our kick ass vacations. Anyway, we looked a the menu and we found one of our favorite beers we drank there called Tiger beer. Now I know this beer isn't from Thailand (it hails from Singapore) but they served all over Thailand and lets face it Chang beer sucks. I also happened to try a few flying dog beers that I had been wanting to try for awhile. It was nice to try them and decide if I would want to get a 6 pack of it ever or not. We had excellent service even if our giant pretzel we ordered was delivered to the wrong table. Boo.

I have been to this location several times and think it is a great addition to the Reston Town Center! There is plenty of seating inside, and a few tables outside. My friend and I ordered a German pretzel which we saw several other tables enjoying. It was huge! And delicious. Their menu gives beer suggestions to accompany each food item, which is a neat addition. Come here for live music on a Friday or Saturday night!

Nice interior with plenty of TV screens to follow your favorite sports event. I did not had the chance to try their beer selection yet but the menu looks pretty good. I ordered the crab cake entry for lunch. Nothing special other than that I found the portion size very (!) small for $16

Food was actually pretty good. The best thing was the pretzel. Streak frite was good too. It was super loud. We were yelling the whole time.

Beer selection is fine, though the appetizers are overpriced. I like the idea, it's the execution that seems "meh" in a time when grocery stores do pick your own 6 and have local beers.
