Small BBQ stand in Petersburg, Virginia. Walk up to the window and order, you are given a number and they call you when it's ready. Seating consists off picnic tables under a covered awning. I got the special- large BBQ sandwich, fries, and drink. The BBQ was average, the sauce was mustard based, coleslaw and hot sauce were optional additions. The fries were unsalted and I was given packets of salt. The menu and operating hours are limited. The staff was friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Not good. Little Pig is fast-food BBQ. They have BBQ, hot dogs, hamburgers and other random food-stand stuff. I got a large BBQ sandwich since that's what they're known for I guess. The sandwich was lukewarm and it tasted funny. After a few bites I realized the bun had probably been toasted on a grill where burgers were recently cooked because my pork tasted like fast-food burger grease. No thanks. The pork itself was light on flavor and there was a very light smathering of a mustard-ish sauce and some so-so coleslaw. Service wasn't very friendly. All in all, there was just nothing impressive about this place. I took two bites of my bland sandwich and threw it away. With Eley's right next door why would anyone come here?

Like a poster said in 2010...still not good. Ugh. BBQ sandwich just didn't taste right. And their limited hours aren't worth the trouble of driving there.

Little Pig is just down the street from Eley's. According to the sign it's been there since 1932. Just a big stand, really. Outdoor tables only. Like many of the BBQ joints around here has kind of weird operating hours. One week I went by and it was closed from Monday to Wed. Not as good as Eley's just down the street, but pretty damn good all the same. Like Eley's you can get sliced or minced and it's served an a mashed bun (coleslaw optional). The sauce is tarter than Eley's and has more mustard in it (not sure if it even has any ketchup in it at all).

One of my favorite BBQ places, love their sauce. It's not your traditional Carolina sauce (which I don't really care for anyway). Nothing fancy, just good yummy simple BBQ. It's not a sit down restaurant but does have covered picnic tables.
