Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

My favorite Chinese food buffet place for years. We've even made several trips all the way from Williamsburg just for the sauté shrimp. The interior won't be winning any awards by a long shot but things are kept clean. Fresh food is constantly brought out on all or visits and I especially like that you get your own drinks. No need to wait all day for you waitress. Pricing is average and lunch is down right cheap.

This is about as good a deal as you will get in a city chock full of Chinese buffets. Now none of the offerings are special...mostly pretty standard chinese buffet faire. What makes this a good deal is your price includes your drinks. This is a family owned place and what the lack in interior decor they make up on being friendly and attentive. I have gone here often because I am not sure paying more has offered better quality, and I will most likely keep going.

Don't bother. The food was cold, and bland. The sushi was scary. I just figured that they would be putting up their best effort for the post-church crowd, sadly I was wrong. The staff was friendly, so there is something to build off of.

Great price, so so food. You pay up front and price includes drinks. Food is incredibly average and nothing I ate stood out. Place is clean but the crowd can be shady. So, if you want ok quality for a low price, this is your place.

New China Buffet in Sherwood Center, Denbigh area of Newport News has been around for about 25 years, which in itself ... says much. My wife and I are regulars, eating there usually once or twice, and sometimes three times every month. Our work has us servicing, and sometimes eating at, numerous Chinese Restaurants. We like New China Buffet because the not only is the food among the best we've experienced, but the price is modest ... plus there is no charge for tea, sodas or coffee. They undoubtedly have the best Pepper Chicken that I've ever eaten, plus their Cucumber/Tomato Salad is consistently excellent. The bathrooms and the kitchen are very clean, as I have been in both, seeing them for myself. The tables are frequently bussed, and the floors are kept clean. You may expect a greeting coming and going. We follow the old Chinese custom of only taking that which you expect to be able to eat, and this was noticed by the owners and consequently we were thanked. Expect to be in a place with many customers, which also guarantees everything to be fresh. Good food, rotating variety for specialty items, free drinks, clean, modest price, and they treat customers nicely. It's definitely hard to ask for much more!

I am a regular. Dinner costs $7.75 per person now. Price crept up, but you still get a good deal. Basic buffet selection and limited sushi and desserts, but your drinks are included. Service staff are quick to remove dishes. This has become our "to go" place when we want Chinese buffet. In fact, we call it "cheap Chinese" because compared to similar restaurants, you get a good deal here.
