I've been a few times for company happy hours, and I've gotten take out when staying late work. I've tried the fish and chips, and the bbq bacon chedder burger. Both come with thick cut fries and both are decent. Fish and chips were crisp and came with tartar sauce, portion was a good size. The bbq bacon chedder burger was really good, I would definitely get it again. I've had a variety of servers and they have all been very attentive. No issue with the service. I've been there about a dozen times and I've only really had one issue. One time I ordered fish and chips for take out, I tried to substitute regular fries for sweet potato fries and they ended up giving me both and charging for both. Not the end of the world, I might have been difficult to hear over the phone. Also be warned that the happy hour food specials are a smaller happy hour size, still reasonable priced but not what I was expecting with the quesadillas. I don't want to end on a negative note because 9 out of ten times, Bennigans is a positive experience. I especially like their outdoor seating for happy hour. It has a canopy to block any rain and sometimes live music. Give it a try.

These people need to clean their bathrooms. My first impression of this place was a restroom that stunk of urine, and being face to face with what appeared to be crusty snot and boogers on the wall over the urinal. The food itself was decent, but nothing to really write home about. Typical family style / bar menu offering a variety of common dishes, all while specializing in none of them. It did the job for filling me up. What I didn't particularly care for was the manger's hobo billboard tactic when it came to desserts. He literally went table to table with a massive 36 X 42 poster that showcased all their desserts, and tried a used car salesman approach with everyone. Even when people turned him down he wouldn't go away. He would say things like, "I can bring multiple spoons for you to share a single dessert." It was incredibly obnoxious, and really detracted from the level of class I would have expected from a restaurant in the middle of McLean. Many of the tables around us had a clear tone of annoyance with the guy - Which he clearly picked up on none of. I don't think I would return to Bennigan's - Not this location anyway. The food is just okay, and the rest of what I said above left a lot to be desired.

Pros: The owner kept coming to check on us Cons: Dry chicken in salad Very dry and salty salmon in seafood combo The server kind of forced us to get dessert No, I wouldn't come back for food but maybe for hookah on weekends.

I have high expecation for this place since it is located in Tysons area and in the central almost all the work places. I heard some great reviews from my friend so we give it a shot.We came here with a group of 6 people for Happy Hours, so we thought it would be crowded but guess not. We arrived at 5:30pm and once we told the waiter we are here for the HH, he didn't care much but told us to grab whatever seats we want. His attitude was a negative already. We just grabbed a table near the bar and apparently the HH is only for drinks not the food itself, so expect to pay regular price for the food menu. The waiters didn't care about us since we near the bar, the bartender was the one served us. We often ask the waiter if we could get some water, concerns, etc, all he told us was to hold on and went to get the bartender. What kind of service is that???? The food was not okay. The veggie burger was lack of favor and thin. It looked like it came straight out from a microwave. Fries were not hot and crispy. My other friends both ordered 15 wings and oh boy, nothing was good. They complained that they sauce was too thick and buffalo flavor was weird. I didn't even bother to try since it didn't look too appealing. Overall, the customer service was good and so was the food. I wouldn't come back nor recommend this place to anyone else. I can definitely go elsewhere around Tysons for better Happy Hours menu.

I was in the Tysons corner area visiting family and we decided to stop by. We haven't seen a bennigans in quite some time and wanted to try out the food. I had the lettuce wrap burger with sweet potato fries. It was cooked perfectly and exactly what I wanted. My Aunt chose the California BLT from their health menu and that's what I'll be trying when I return. Excellent service as well. I will be back!

I would give it a 3.5 stars if I could, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and rate it 4 stars. The food was really good; my favorites were the egg rolls for appetizers and monte cristo for entrée. Their signature chicken tenders and fish and chip were above average, but if you were to only come here once, I would recommend the monte cristo (it's like a delectable ham and cheese sandwich wrapped in funnel cake; you can't find something like that anywhere else!) The killjoy for me was the service. Usually I don't care much as long they refill my water at least once and don't do anything that may distract me. But the napkin and utensils I was provided was sticky and had some booger-like stain, found a tiny piece of hair in buffalo wings, and my water was never refilled. Overall, the food here was really good though and worth it, especially with the $30 for $40 worth of food!

Environment: The new Patio has added such a positive vibe to the ambience at Bennigan's. The live music and DJ on Thurs/Fri/Sat nights makes Tysons just a bit more livelier. They also offer hookah outside which is pretty cool. Delivery/Catering I also ordered for an office event and everything came out perfect. Definitely catering from them again. Pub bits for days! Food: They've added so many new items to the Menu including a huge healthy portion. I'm still salivating over the steak quasodillas to make it to the healthy items. Also, the lemonade are on point. Watermelon, Strawberry, or Peach, take your choosing. Regardless you're going to feel refreshed afterwards.

We had the spinach avocado dip to start. Chips were stale and the dip was gross. It was bland and oddly chunky. I've had frozen dip that tasted better. Asked for a medium burger and got completely raw. Notified the server who seemed shocked and immediately took it back to the kitchen. Outcome was a dry and still pretty rare burger. Monte cristo was an interesting sandwich with decent flavor. But it was overpoweringly sweet after a few bites. All the food seemed like I could get it from the premade section at Walmart. Wildly unimpressed with this mediocre and unhealthful food. Service was good.

Very nice establishment with fantastic menu. Loved their fish & chips dish. Not sure about their boneless hot wings because they were not something I am used to them; however, I was very pleased with their nachos & mini cheese burgers. Too bad I was too full to try their desserts. Definitely will revisit the place again.

We tried the out door place from the restaurant. And really enjoyed the atmosphere with Shesha "Argeelah and the mixed Of Arabic , Persian, and American songs. By the DJ Yaser. He's amazing. Food was average. But was ok. Very nice for groups to enjoy dancing and Sheeshah !!! Sure will be back.

The first time I came here I was disappointed. We were turned away at 10:15 for the kitchen being closed, but the business closed at 11:00pm. (Not to mention it took the hostess 10mins to tell us the kitchen was closed) We decided to give them another shot on another day in the afternoon. The greeter wasn't too welcoming, but sat us within 2 mins. Our server was pleasant and attentive, and every drink was refilled without asking. The food was brought out hot, and was very good. I got the Chicken O'toole sandwich and it was flavored well. The pretzel bun gave it a nice spin, but I had to put a little more honey mustard on it. Fries were hot. Overall, decent price and decent service. I would return.

What a disappointment. Look, I've been to Bennigan's before, so I'm really not expecting a lot out of it. There are those times that I'm craving some greasy, chain food like nachos or wings, and any place will do. The first time we tried Bennigan's at happy hour, the place was basically empty. This time, it happened to be St. Patricks Day. The restaurant was full but not crazy, and our party of two was seated right away. Service was polite, but slow. Fair enough, this was probably more action than the staff usually sees. But the food wasn't forgivable. All I wanted were some buffalo chicken tenders. I think they took about 20 minutes to come out, and when they did, they were cold, dry, and chewy. It gave me a craving to go eat better wings somewhere else. How could they screw up this basic fried chicken with my extremely low expectations? Even if they start out frozen, surely they have to deep fry them after I order them! I won't be back.

My team had an event Friday night. The customer services was excellent, and our space was great for all the people we had show up. The food, and drinks were also great. We needed space for 30 plus people last minute on Friday, April 10, as the other place lost power at 4:30pm. Petros Kontos made it happen. Thanks John and the team working so hard to keep up happy. We will be back! Faith

We used the Groupon deal here, and were excited as we haven't been to a Bennigans in years. The experience only gets 2 stars for the nostalgia and we left full. The onion ring tower was delicious, as was the famous Monte Cristo sandwich. I had a bowl of french onion soup, which was decent. My husband got the loaded potato soup, which came out lukewarm. I will say that the speed of the food coming out was very good. The service was disappointing. There were several waiters, including our own, who argued with the woman who seemed to be the manager. It was in very poor taste for them to behave like that and refuse minor requests - and even worse when it was all within our view and earshot. We also witnessed what appeared to be a male server harassing a fellow female server.
(2)Hershey K.
I've gone in here and loved the pot roast and shepherd's pie. Have had the fried monte cristo and enjoyed that as well. This time my friend ordered a burger and I had the shepherd's pie. Mine was OK, about what I expected. My friend had two bites and didn't finish it - he thought Mcdonalds was better. The prices on the check were different than the items ordered on the menu and no offer to fix it. Disapointing this occassion.

I've been here many times before, it's a great deal especially with those groupons. Plus they have great food (if you know what to order) and the service kind of depends on which waiter/waitress you get. The one we got last time was especially nice. Overall I would say they have good service. Here are the food that we have ordered before. Flat iron steak medium rare - mmmm one of the best steak I've had. Sometimes it comes out medium well or well done, we told them and they always sent them back and gave us a new one that is actually medium rare, so that's good since that's the only way I would eat my steak :P Flat iron steak salad - it's good but there are only a few pieces of steak and the salad is not a lot either plus the dressing is a bit too tangy for me, so for $4 more I would rather have the steak entree which comes with rice and vegetables, and a lot more steak :) Baby back ribs - We usually only order 1/2 coz it's quite big. It's cooked perfectly, not too hard, lots of meat and fat, the way we like it and I also like the bbq sauce. It comes with lots of fries and a very good coleslaw. Monte Cristo sandwich - Very good, although I would only have it occasionally, that thing is deep fried and eaten with jam and powdered sugar, I'll save it for the good occasions :) We usually order only 1/2 since it's huge, and it comes with either soup or salad, we opt for salad with honey mustard dressing yummm ;) Buffalo chicken salad - Huge and fresh and good. I'm not a big fan of that sour taste buffalo wings sauce so this is not really my favorite but if you are then this will be perfect for you. Crispy chicken salad - The fried chicken is too hard and dry in my opinion. Maybe the grilled version would be better. Shrimp and Pork - It's ok, nothing to write home about French onion soup - Granted it was my first time trying this soup but man it was good :) Snakebite - Kind of too sour for me, maybe because of the cider, so yes I still prefer the good ole guinness anytime anyday :) Not sure why they don't get more business than they do but I highly recommend :)

I was intregued and a little excited when I read that a Bennigan's was coming back to NOVA. Needless to say the first time I went was for memory reasons -- some of my favorite high school pictures were taken at a Bennigan's. I have been a couple of times since it opened and the menu has evolved bringing back some old favorites as well as creating some more current options. It is refreshing to know they are listening to feedback. I hope it does well and lasts a long time.

Frankly I would give 3.5 stars if allowed. The appetizer sampler is quite good. The pasta with chicken and shrimp is just ok. The best and surprisingly good is it's toasted bread, so maybe their sandwiches would be great.
(3)Anthony O.
The appetizer sampler was very good and filling. My girlfriends drink was made poorly and was too tart, she got the strawberry sparkler and couldn't even finish it. We both had a tough time deciding what to get, but ultimately I got their signature monte cristo sandwich and she got a chicken wrap. I was actually very impressed with the sandwich. It was like eating a sandwich on a funnel cake. She said her wrap was just average. Service was ok.
(3)Jennifer R.
The Monte Cristo is stated on the menu to be lightly fried. It was very fried. Terrible! I am surprised that people like this sandwich. It must be a Southern thing. I am used to eating Monte Cristo's with french toast bread. The bar service during non-busy hours, 7:30 on a a Friday night was also lacking. I was not greeted for awhile. There was no return visit to ask how my meal was. And I had to raise my voice to get a bartender's attention twice! He never came back to check on me on his own accord. Lastly, you can smell cigarette smoke at the nonsmoking main bar. How awful!! I left and will not return. I thought after a decade of not visiting a Benigan's there may have been some healthy turnaround. The greasey sandwich, smokey bar and inattentive service prove otherwise.

Amazing place! Excellent service, good food. Location is great . Very nice outdoor patio. DJ is cool! I go there on weekend nights with my friends and I really enjoy there.
(5)Dani P.
My husband had been craving a monte cristo from Bennigan's for quite some time, but the closest one is in Tyson's Corner underneath an office building where we wouldn't have any business being nearby. For the Labor Day holiday we decided to take care of errands, and so decided we'd finally make the trip. I hope he enjoyed his monte cristo, because it didn't seem worth going out of the way. It was empty, but that can be expected of a business located in a business park on a holiday. Despite it being empty, it took awhile to have someone take our order, and especially delivering the check. I ordered the cottage pie, and it tasted like a microwave dinner. It was also burned on the edges like one. Admittedly the monte cristo did taste good. There were also two bugs that looked too small to be flies that just WOULD NOT leave our table alone...
(2)C S.
I entered expecting little, as Bennigan's did not resonate with me due to their chain reputation. Surprised me with good food and great service. I'd go back for sure!
(4)Rachel T.
This place is next to my office and has a patio, so I've been with coworkers a number of times -- each worse than the last. Happy hour is now at the bar only, so that was disappointing but we decided to stay. After waiting about 10 minutes for the waitress to find out the price of a drink, she brought us a mojito with decaying, brown leaves in it and a "Ruby Red Sunrise" which seems to be 90% water. The bartender replaced the gross mojito, but this will probably be my last visit.
(1)Jesse C.
Great food and great service. Server checks in and provides drinks refills and at the end the manager asks how the meal was. Buffalo chicken salad was very good and would be worth having again. Parking out front sort of stinks (all reserved spots) and getting here during the week would be a pain, but great nostalgic weekend meal.

I came here on the way to New Jersey from a Florida trip. My wife and I used to love Bennigan's back in the day. So ,we were immediately hosted and given a table. For a Saturday night it was quiet. A few tables were filled inside and an outdoor area with some moving dance lights and dance music was going on. Coming from outside I hesitated on bothering to come inside for dinner because I thought perhaps the place became a dance club of some sort. But it was a Saturday night and this place is trying to cater to the younger crowd from my understanding. Well the entrance to inside was next to the outdoor patio and I knew I was in the right place. We ordered the county clare sampler which was the replacement of the old "Southwest sampler" and it was quite good. The food was hot and I enjoyed having something here that I loved on its old menu back in the day. I also had the Monte Cristo and I loved it. It was hot, tasty and full of flavor. I love the funnel cake crust with a ham and cheese sandwich inside. In my opinion the Monte Cristo puts this place on the map. My wife had the chicken quesadilla's, but her complaint was it had to much of a spicy kick. Our waiter was below average. He had trouble memorizing what we ordered and when it arrived things were missing. He admitted to forgetting to put the items we ordered in but we didn't give him a hard time. He gladly came through in a timely manner with the orders. All in all, I have always had a likeness for this franchise perhaps due to its Irish flare. The update of Bennigan's is truly more modern but I missed the old Tavern feel it used to have. I think they have a chance of being successful again if they can perhaps get on the boat to better service.
(3)Michael M.
The food was great. I had the Monte Cristo and I loved it. Cooked perfectly and it brought back memories of going to Bennigan's when I was younger. The bad part of this experience was the original server. He totally forgot about us after taking our order. Thankfully we got another server who stepped in and saved the day.
(3)Josh T.
Next level terrible. Initially the host was quite rude, seeming to go out of his way to let us know we weren't welcome. Next, our waiter asked us if we were ready to order 3 times within a couple minutes of us being seated. He then disappeared for about 10 minutes or so (when we were actually read to order). Our food was fine (Monte Cristo was the shining star), but after getting the food we never saw our waiter again. After about 20 minutes of sitting there looking around awkwardly after finishing our food a bartender finally came to see if we were ok and brought us the check. She was delightful, thankfully. I'd definitely give this one a miss, there are plenty of good options around Tysons that actually want your business.
(1)John K.
Went here on a Groupon deal, not really near us but thought it would be a good deal to check out. Disappointed even on a half price groupon. Service was painfully slow even with just one other party in the restaurant, plus four guys at the bar watching football. Onion ring appetizer consisted of 6 over-breaded onion rings for $10. Chicken strip platter was tiny, almost like a child's meal. ChikFilA charges $7 for the same quantity of strips and fries, Bennigan's charges $12. Over-priced food, under-whelming service.

When I heard Bennigan's was making a come back, I didn't know what to think. Really, I had no idea because I had never been to one before. Sure, I knew that it was another chain restaurant and would have its small group unwavering supporters along with its vocal group of opponents, but I'd never really gotten a sense for what type of place it was. For most of my childhood, there was a Bennigan's nearby but my family never set foot inside. All I know is Nadine F. says they make a mean greasy turkey sandwich and the reviews of the "famous" Monte Cristo are all over the board. So, we'd been seeing the signs for weeks and made a stop here in lieu of one of our more regular happy hour spots, just to try it out. Now, I'm a man who can appreciate a place that can set a goal--however modest--and meet it. It's clear that, like that of its family chain restaurant brethren, the cuisine here is the sit-down version of fast food. But, if that's what you're after they seem to do a pretty good job of it here. And there's nothing wrong it if that's what you're expecting--just don't think you're getting a 5-star meal or anything. We split the Turkey O'Toole sandwich, along with the smaller happy hour orders of the potato skins and chicken wings. I have to say the appetizers were pretty sub par, even for a place such as this, but the turkey sandwich and accompanying fries hit the greasy, cheesy, carby, salty mark. For me it was good enough to say I'd definitely come back here to try more of their entrees (and skip the appetizers). Watch out, Monte Cristo, I'll be back for you!
(4)Nick M.
The resturant was pretty empty when we arrived. The food was good. They didn't know how to input the $30 for $40 worth of food yelp deal so they only gave me credit for $30.
(4)Randy R.
Stopped by for an early dinner on a Thursday night and the place was fairly empty. The staff was very helpful and polite -- my drinks came from the bar in minutes and my food very quickly after while still hot. While Bennigan's isn't as upper-class as most the restaurants in this area (Tysons Corner), it is in my top picks for the best experiences for the price/food by far. Nothing worse than going somewhere else, paying $50-75 for dinner per person and having horrible service! $15 before tip for dinner (sandwich) and a beer with great service in this area. Can't beat that anywhere nearby!

So appreantly any one can park in the wounded warrior parking spot ! Even employees ! Douch bags like this need to respect that spot. He wears green frame glasses and he is a douch..he works there ..please respect the wounded warrior parking spot ...

Oh Bennigan's, we meet again! Much to my husband's delight, we discovered the chain restaurant made a comeback near Tyson's Mall. We were finally able to try it out for lunch the other day to see if it was everything we remembered. Hubby ordered the infamous Monte Cristo while I decided to try out the Fish & Chips. We were not disappointed! Both of our dishes came out fairly quickly and the quality was excellent for both. The manager even offered us a free desert for signing up to be on their email list. I'm a sucker for freebies so of course I took him up in the offer. We were very pleased with the food and service of this restaurant that we thought was long gone. Happy that it's back!
(5)Donald P.
Cajun Chicken & Shrimp Pasta (2 stars) Honestly just kind of meh!! This dish seemed really overpriced for what you got, or perhaps for the price point, we were expecting a lot more umph in the dish. While the cajun seasoning used was on the salty and hot side, the sauce seemed to lack depth in flavor. Housemade Cottage Pie (3.5 stars) I was really itching for a shepherd's pie, and this dish came close to satisfying that itch. Nice meaty texture and beefy taste, although I must have missed the sausage, unless that too was uncased and ground up too. Finn's Beer-Battered Fish & Chips (5 stars) FREAKING AWESOME!!! This was the clear GRAND SLAM winner here, though I must caveat this. Eat it while it's hot. Even the people at the next table were impressed how gargantuan the fish fritters were. The hot, crispy, beer-battered fish fillets were excellent. Though the thickly battered fish was quite oily, it seemed rather light. Not sure what kind of oil they use, but it didn't seem heavy like I was expecting it should and I didn't even have a beer in hand...well I guess technically I did since it was beer-battered fish ;) I was a little reluctant about bringing my family here since I wasn't quite sure what to expect...American restaurant or (as indicated by the pint glass on the Bennigan's logo) Irish Pub house? Gratefully it's a family friendly place. Service wasn't really an issue, even after changing our minds and asked to be seated against the wall so we could lay our little girl down for a nap. We really enjoyed our visit and definitely looking to go back.

Amazing place ! Loved the hookah and the drinks. Their onion rings were the best I have had till date. The music was really good!!

Bennigan's is back. Why?!? Well, I guess that's a good thing just for nostalgia's sake. Back in the '80's, this was as hip as any place to go to . But now it's just a sad anachronism. There is a reason why low-level chain restaurants are suffering - their food is generally mediocre and people demand more quality for their money today. But lucky me - I've been working in the building that houses this rare location. So I've been pretty much stuck eating here if I don't want to drive somewhere else to eat. The good part is that the staff is great. I can call down for a pick up order and it will be ready in ten minutes. That helps someone who works by the hour. The problem is the generally blah food, especially anything that has that preservative-laden lettuce in it. Barring that, if you stick to a club sandwich or burger, you should be fine. And of course, if you batter and deep fry your club sandwich, you will end up with the excellent Monte Cristo that they offer. Yes, it is made the way it is supposed to be - a sandwich with a thick crunchy and chewy batter and raspberry jam to dip in. Yes, it's good, but it's RICH, so prepare to only be able to eat half of it. So welcome back, Bennigan's and thanks for being there for me.

I was suuuuuuuuuper excited to see that Bennigan's was back. Fiance and I used a Specialicious deal and met up after work. We ordered wings as an appetizer and burgers. The wings were pretty good. The burgers, however, were overcooked. We asked for medium. These were WELL. Meh. We figured it was growing pains and just told the server to tell the cook to note his cook temps. Figuring it had been some time and they should have gotten things together, we went back one evening before heading out to karaoke with friends. On a Friday night, this place was pretty empty. I think weekday lunches are probably the draw here. So anyhoo, the hostess attempted to take us to a table *right* next to a family with at least 4 young kids. They were loud. Ummmmm, no. All these open seats and THAT'S where you want us to go? No ma'am. So we requested to be moved closer to the bar. Our server was awkward and aloof. He spaced out when we were ordering, didn't answer questions or clarify anything and just got things wrong. It was annoying. Our server would disappear for long periods of time, so if/when we needed something, I just went to the bartender. She ended up serving us after awhile, which was cool. But the real kicker was when my wings came out, they were damn near raw with sauce put on them. Call me a snob, but I don't like medium rare wings. After all the other mess-ups, this is what finally sent us over the edge. There's no coming back from biting into a bloody wing. The bartender alerted a manager once I told her. The manager came over and was like, "What can we do to make things right?" At that point? Nothing. The bloody chicken kinda sealed the deal there. So then the manager hands us some cards to come back for happy hour for free appetizers. I haven't been back, honestly. Food mess-ups are one thing. But bad service gets me every single time. I'm gonna wait to head back to Bennigan's again. I just want them to get back to being the place I loved as a kid.

Ok so turns out the bartender/waiter from last time wasn't entirely truthful. He said he checked if certain menu items were HALAL but apparently he didn't. The pot roast, jus, and the irish dip are not HALAL according to the waiter the last time I went. This time I ordered the steak which was over cooked but it has potential if cooked less. I also ordered the burger which was very very good. if you care about HALAL please double check with the waiter. I want to say that I really appreciate that the chef is making a HALAL menu and that people who care about HALAL should support these types of ventures.

We stopped in looking for a nice bar to watch the game and get some food and were not disappointed. They even changed the tv in a corner so we could hear the game. Very impressed with the wait staff and host. Food was good. I wish I lived closer so I could come back. Try the fish and chips- jalapeño tartar sauce, heck yes!
(5)Dana Z.
Eeeeeee!!!!!! BENNIGANS IS BACK?!?! That was pretty much my expression when my friend was like "Let's go to Bennigans and get a Monte Cristo!" Well no, I will never order the Monte Cristo in my life, but I am all about the potato soup and country chicken salad. I don't even care that it's a chain! I love Bennigans! It's been probably 10-15 years since I've had it. I'm glad I got to have it again. Yaaaay!!
(4)Jonathan H.
Hookah, burgers, booze. I'm in love. And the staff is great, makes you feel good about dropping 400$ on a Wednesday night.

More like 2.5 stars but I like to round up Bennigan's has a special place in my heart. My husband and I actually had our first date at a Bennigans so when they starting popping up again we got really excited. We went on a quiet Sunday afternoon (non-football season) and were immediately seated which was good because we were really hungry. We ordered our appetizers and entrees at the same time since we knew what we wanted to order. Unfortunately, our appetizers and entrees came out at the same time so we looked like fat a$$es with three heaping plates of food at our table. LOL. All joking aside, I thought it was common knowledge that apps typically arrive before the main course. I didn't know I had to clarify. Having worked in the restaurant business this issue could have been easily resolved by entering the orders on separate tickets. There was no way that we were going to send our entrees back to sit under the heat lamp so we ate everything all at once. We noticed that the wings were a bit chewy and we didn't realize until eating most of them that they were a little undercooked (i.e.: red on the inside). The monte cristo and the chicken tenders my husband ordered were good and nicely fried, but I miss the smaller/skinnier fries that they used to have (but that is just my preference). Overall, I would say it was an okay experience. And would be willing to give it another go to try my other favorite, the Killarney Chicken Salad (for sentimental reasons obviously :)

I was at Bennigans for St Patrick's Day and had a great time!!! The food was amazing, the staff was friendly and the specialty drinks were very tasty!! I'm glad Bennigans has returned to the area and I can't wait to go back!!

3 stars for my food was a miss, but my husbands good was pretty good. Had my lovely groupon for this place (thank goodness, cause I would not have wanted to pay full price for my food). He had the pot roast...I had the monte crisco. Never had one before, thought I would try it...not for us! The outside of the monte was like eating fried french toast..this would be yummy if it was supposed to be french toast, but it's not! It had processed meat and cheese on the inside, yuck! The waiter was nice, so 2 for the food and an extra star for the waiter!

My husband and I had our first date at Bennigan's, Tysons Corner in 1989. The restaurant has moved its location. We were car shopping and decided to give it a try for 'ol times sake. Our server was nice enough, but the service was fair and the food mediocre. I did not see the insert with the other appetizer listings, so being hungry, ordered the broccoli bites, 2 minutes later, we asked to change our appetizer order - the server came back and said this was not possible. Most good restaurants I frequent, would do this (Great American Restaurants, Clyde's, etc.). I ordered the Kilkeeny Salad with honey mustard dressing, my husband ordered the Cobb with ranch. Our salads came - I was given the Cobb, switched with my husband. The salads had the wrong dressing and my saald had over ripe avocados that were terrible. Meanwhile, we witnessed the manager arguing with a table across the room about a coupon. OMG, just so unclassy and not customer friendly at all. After I complained, the server reluctantly took my salad off the bill. Also, for a Saturday night, it was not busy at all. There is a reason for this. We will not be back.

For my first ever visit to Bennigan's, it was ok. My friend thought his burger was too greasy and it came on a stale bun. His fault for not saying anything, he may have had something better if he had given them a chance. I ordered the Monte Cristo - it wasn't too bad, but this was also kind of greasy. The fries and onion rings were nice and crisp though. No one else in our group had any complaints. Jocelyn provided attentive service and did her best for a surly table of twelve. We're not sure how likely we'd be back for a team lunch, but I might give it another try with the mister one of these days.

The food quality here is strictly average and likewise for the service and atmosphere. While the bar and menu had a sufficient number of varying selections to choose from, the value was below average. Soup, sandwiches and soft drinks for two was almost $35 before tip. The French onion and potato soups were more enjoyable than the turkey O'toole and cajun chicken sandwiches. With the variety of places to choose from around Tysons, unless you happen to work in the building, it's hard to find a compelling reason to come here.
(2)Ric M.
Good food and good portions consumed with clean utensils and plates. Also having fun staff is a huge plus when I go out with friends; they are, in my mind a large part of any experience in a restaurant!

Lousy food, lousy service. Everything seemed to be deep fried. Wasn't particularly cheap. Not pleasant.
(1)Ann L.
I work in the Tyson's area so I go to this place a lot for happy hours. The deals are a bit lackluster and they should probably update the happy hour drinks menu because it is very short and too simplistic. I ended up having to ask my servers on which drinks were on there and which weren't. Also, their happy hour appetizers are sized smaller than normal appetizers which was not started on the menu. However, I did enjoy the monte cristo that I tried.
(3)Brad D.
I was actually unimpressed with The famous monte Cristo. This is certainly the most unhealthy sandwich you can possibly eat. I'd describe it like a deep fried ham and cheese served on fresh toast bread. Topped with powdered sugar it was quite sweet for my taste. Everyone raved about it but left me feeling like I was going to have a heart attack. French fries were well cooked and not over seasoned. Unfortunately i found my Beer glass was dirty with a lipstick mark on it... Gross. The place earns it's 2 stars for friendly staff and beer samples.
(2)Kristen M.
We had a group outing on the patio for Happy Hour and it was an awesome time. John, our bartender, was amazing. The patio is covered and has heat lamps so even in the rainy weather we were able to enjoy fresh air. Beer was cold, food hot and the service was excellent.

There's reason many of the Bennigan's disappeared years ago. The food is lackluster and the ambiance is that artificial TGI-Tuesday's type of place. My coworkers and I have visited this new incarnation of Bennigan's and each time we have left disappointed. BTW, random tangential thought...anyone else think that the new Bennigan's logo looks a LOT like the Brooklyn Brewery logo? Here's a comparison. Brooklyn Brewery Logo: beerpulse.com/wp-content… Bennigan's New Logo: s3.amazonaws.com/ODNUplo… The first visit, I tried the burger which to me...if you can cook up a tasty burger that means you know the basics. The Bennigan's burger was overcooked and a bit charred...it also had that faint taste of freezer burn. Very unappetizing considering the other local area burger joins (BGR and Kraze Burger) can consistently cook up one tasty burger. The next visit, I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and my coworker ordered a Monte Cristo. The grilled chicken breast in my sandwich was dry and devoid of any flavor. The outside of the chicken had a tough layer...almost as if it had been pre-cooked and just thrown on the grill to heat it up. My coworker felt a bit ill after eating his Monte Cristo and reported not feeling well for the entire day. Our last visit to Bennigan's was to use my coworker's Specialicious voucher which had just expired. My coworker was courteous and asked the hostess if he could use his expired voucher ($40 for $20). Note: The terms of this voucher state that although expired, you will always be able to use the $20 you paid at the merchant as mentioned in the Specialicious terms. The hostess called a female manager over who disappeared into the backroom to check. Another manager (a gentleman) came back (by now the Specialicious coupon had been cut to a small square) and gruffly said, "We'll let you use it this time, but I we can't do this again". This time? As a customer, the words I truly HATE hearing from any business is "I'll do it THIS time" as if they're doing me a favor. Hey, we're doing YOU the favor by coming to this place for a third time after having two horrible dining experiences! Here's a hint to the Bennigan's managers, never make a customer feel like you're doing them a favor. A better reply would've been, "Thank you for coming and we'll happily honor your voucher for the $20 amount you paid". The entire time we sat there waiting for our food, my coworker and I steamed about the way the managers handled the expired voucher. Needless to say the food was consistently bad as before and based on this experience we promised never to return. As we were getting ready to leave, the female manager walked over and handed us a Bennigan's "Frequent Diner" card. We both left the cards on the table and when our kind waiter asked, "Hey fellas, do you want your cards?" we just replied with a "No thank you". I felt like saying, "I'll take it this time...but.." Anyway.... The only thing saving this place for getting a single star are the wait staff. They're attentive, always in a great mood and seem to be hardworking folks that truly give this place an extra star. If you're in the TyCo area, there are plenty of other restaurants you should visit. Trust me.

Came for a company HH, and I can see it becoming a popular after-work joint. We were given the outside patio area, and there is a full bar outside with couches and bar tables. The staff was friendly, prompt, and actually bantered with us. Lots of drinks for selection - the beer list is actually pretty extensive considering this is a chain restaurant. The chicken tenders were awesome, and those broccoli & cheese bites were quite ingenious!

So when I first heard news that Bennigan's was coming back in town, all I could think of was...Yes I'm finally getting my monte cristo back!!! After about 5/6 years after all of the Bennigan's had closed in the Northern VA area, I was on a hunt for a monte cristo that would fulfill my needs. I found some but I still had love for Bennigan's. I was more than ecstatic and could not wait to come here. Unfortunately it took about a month and a half to get my ass here but it was worth the wait. This location is directly across from Tysons 2 on the bottom floor of an office building near Marriot Courtyard. It's in the cut so you may miss it, if you don't pay attention. We came here around 8pm tonight and it was basically dead, which isn't bad because I didn't want to wait for a table and by the time I got here I wanted a monte cristo in my mouth. We got seated right away and Shaun T. was our waiter. He understood customer service very well and is probably one of the best waiters I've encountered. I suggest everyone ask for him if you come here. He makes sure you are happy at all times and is very accomodating to everything and anything you need. He is an all around friendly and courteous person and he made this experience amazing. Now on to the food...it came out pretty quick maybe like 10 minutes for the appetizer to come out and another 10 minutes for the entree. My boyfriend and I first started with the broccoli bites which are deep fried bites with broccoli, bacon and gooey cheese inside and a honey dijon mustard dip on the side. It was soo good, very fattening none the less...but good. Now the best part and the part I've been waiting for - for the past couple months...well actually couple years...the monte cristo. Deep fried heaven!!!!! Just what I imagined and dreamed of ever since it left me. (Yes dreams) My favorite greased up food!!! Deep fried perfectly with big portions of turkey and ham with some powered sugar on top. Ah drooling still. The fries were thick cut and fried to perfection. It was almost as good as the monte cristo, finishing my fries within the first 5 minutes it arrived at my table. I only had 2 of the monto cristos (4 in all), when I became very full and could not finish this goodness. When I asked him for a container to put my raspberry jam in to bring home with my leftovers, he brought me 2 brand new jams which was very nice of him. (Got cool points from me) Needless to say, this experience was very easy and a breeze. Not only was the monte cristo the exact same deliciousness as I left it a couple years ago but Shaun's hospitality exceeded our expectations of customer service. Welcome back Bennigan's and I cannot wait to come back and try everything else. :)
(5)Nate W.
I ordered the cottage pie and the wife had the grown up Mac and cheese. The cottage pie had way too much thyme and didn't taste like much else. The Mac and cheese was very good. The kids enjoyed their kids meals as well. I was very sad to learn that the beer selection of the Bennigan's of my college days in Texas was non existent and had been replaced by a weak selection of domestic swill which could explain why the restaurant had very few patrons on a Sunday night with the Redskins game playing. Service was good and everything still looked fairly new. I'll be back to get a Monte Cristo sandwich and potato soup to give them one more chance.

Waited literally 30min to get my food...i see why they were promoting through groupon. Never coming again...

Hands down, this has to be the worst place I've ever been. My Boyfriend and I came in on st Patrick's day thinking it would be a good spot since it's an "irish" bar. What a terrible mistake. When we got there, the hostess told us to seat ourselves and we did. I still don't know if we were suppose to have a waiter or go to the bar and order because nobody acknowledged us or gave us any guidance. We sat there for about 20 minutes, during that time another couple sat at the table beside us and a server immediately came up to them took their drink order and brought it to them without even so much as looking at us. We got fed up of waiting around and went to the bar to order. My boyfriend ordered "two green beers" and as handed 2 regular miller lights. At this point we were over it, I didn't even finish my beer before we left for the bar around the corner. I guess the bartender was focused on getting out of there for the day since we saw him walk into the next bar with his friends shortly after. Terrible service, this place doesn't deserve anyone's money.

I happen to be in the hood and tried out the place. To sum it up : Great food. Great drinks. Great outdoor seating area
(5)Kirk B.
We had a huge party here tonight and they were kind and accommodated us all, about 12-15 people. They even gave us plates and spoons for a cake that was brought in from an establishment across the street. I ordered the Irish burger, was a double burger. I get what they're doing with this, giving it 3 buns because it's supposed to be the ultimate hunger-killer, however it's not really edible this way. It's too big to fit in your mouth, so I basically split it into 2 burgers. First one was fine because i had a top and bottom bun, however after that there was just one bun. An open-face burger isn't as appealing as an open-face sandwich. Maybe I should have just chucked one of the buns and tried eating it that way, or maybe they should just use 2 buns in the first place. Not sure, either way it was a bit soggy/messy but not bad. I'd give this place 3.5 stars if I could, but I can't so I'll err on the positive side.
(4)Donia G.
I wish I could give it less than one star. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! My friends and I came and were seated. Then five minutes later we were asked to get up and move to another table so that a larger party could take our spot. Once relocated, we waited over 45 minutes before we were brought out our hookah. The larger party had their hookah ten minutes in, but we had to wait over 45 minutes. The server was apologetic, because it appeared the issue was in the back. Fine, but management needs to resolve issues in the back and treat ALL customers equally instead of giving preferential treatment to larger parties.

Nothing special and over priced for what it is.

Love this place! Great addition to the Tysons area! Irish pub, with TVs everywhere. Nice selection of food on the menu! Well cooked, decent service. I had issues the first time I went there, my burger came out way overcooked. I sent it back and then this time the chef personally delivered the burger to me! To his horror and my surprise, I cut the burger and..well it was well done again...I guess they have a HIGH powered grill or something. I stick to the steaks now when I go. Kids love the place, and we love to go there for them as well. I am waiting for the Skins season to start so I can kick back enjoy a steak meal and watch my favorite team lose. Stars: Food - Well cooked, just need to turn down that grill a bit. Well seasoned, good portions Service - Great service, except for the first time, that waiter had no clue what he was doing Atmosphere - inviting and lit. Great place to be during a major game or hanging out with buddies Location - It is in Tysons, can't beat it. Family friendly - yep, kids love it, family loves it Would I return - as long as they keeping putting up those ads on Specialicious, I shall continue returning...

Surprisingly was not very crowded on a Friday evening; no wait at all for dining. I had the Monte Cristo and it was fantastic. Service was good as well; I had drink refills on the table before my glass was empty. Food came out quick too. I'll be coming back more often.

I heard that Bennigans was back in Tyson's and we all decided to go there.. Wow ! What a beautiful experience from the ambiance , to the food quality and service .. Monte Christo sandwich is better than ever .. I am glad to see that new Bennigans is now back again !

Glad Bennigan's made a comeback. We came for HH and the specials were on the drinks... Don't think there were any food specials. The monte cristo is the beast of all sandwiches on the face of this earth. Do try it once in your life and temporarily forget about the calorie count. I ordered the appetizer trio and picked a mini version of the sandwich to minimize the chance of me stuffing my face with the full sized version. It worked out great. Their egg rolls are also pretty awesome, especially the pineapple dipping sauce. Service was also great. Everyone working had a smile on their face, which was a plus. It was a bit nostalgic bc Beniggans had a special place in my heart since I used to frequent this bar for HH weekly. And now it's back! Just one complaint... I wish they also brought back the video arcades back to the bar. I love those darn things!!!!!!
(4)Jeniffer S.
Great food! great portions and great service! I've tried their burgers and chicken strips and both were very tender. My favorite is the Chipotle Burger, but I have to say some days they are made a little better than others.
(4)Ashley L.
Used to love this place back in the day when they were everywhere and then closed down. Happy that they have started to open back up. This particular location is ok but not easily seen from the street. They need a better location. You would never know it was there unless you just already knew or drive around that side of Tysons 2. Service was good, no complaints so far and I've been there 3 times since opening. Also glad they changed there ridiculous "no free refills". No worries it is now free probably due to way to many complaints. Overall I say you should check it out.

After an excellent dinner at The Palm and an overnight stay at the Ritz we awoke on a dreary Saturday, slightly hungover and definitely hungry, and decided to give Bennigan's (the prodigal son of chain restaurants) new incarnation a whirl. Perhaps it's the rose colored lens through which we view our teen years, but we had fond memories of monte cristo sandwiches and burgers that were edible. As is our general practice, we over-ordered in order to have as many tasty bites as possible. For starters we ordered coffee (no Diet Coke on these premises) and were disturbed to discover that the non-dairy creamer cups had taken on the consistency of Elmer's school glue. Undeterred we ordered appetizers. A tower of (funnel cake breaded?) onion rings arrived. Again, glue comes to mind. The potato skins were lukewarm and unpleasant and the broccoli bites and southwest eggrolls were no better than you might find in your grocer's freezer. For our entrees we ordered fish and chips, a cheeseburger, and the infamous monte cristo. The fish and chips were bland, overcooked, and had taken on the texture of pressure treated lumber. As an amusing aside, we were asked whether we wanted "Malt liquor... malt liquor vinegar" to accompany them. We passed on the malt liquor as well as the fish and chips, and instead moved on to the burger. Suffice it to say that three bites of the burger were taken before it, too, was deemed inedible. Finally, the monte cristo; "The Full Monte" the server exclaimed before I inquired whether he had seen the movie of similar title. If the sandwich we received is representative of the restaurant's hallmark menu item they might as well file for chapter 7 now. Never before has anything deep fried been so disappointing. As we told our server (who was a lovely young man who in no way contributed to our poor experience), everything was terrible and, luckily, none of us live nearby enough to accidentally come back.
(1)Nathan G.
If you've ever eaten at a Bennigan's before, you'll know what to expect. It's a typical chain restaurant with typical chain restaurant food, with the notable exception of their famous Monte Cristo sandwich. If you can finish one of those on your own, then you're truly hardcore (and should probably see a doctor). The restaurant's location is definitely in its favor. It's not in one of the Tysons malls; instead, it's in an office park. I'm sure it's busy at lunchtime, but if you go for a Friday night meal, you'll find the place half full at best, no waiting for a table.
(4)Izzy H.
The steak here is some of the best I've had in the area. They've always managed to cook it to perfection. (I personally love a good medium rare). I can't speak much to any of their other dishes but I highly recommend the steak :)
(4)Alan M.
Convenient location. Small entree portions. New restaurant. Tyson's Corner prices. Nice staff.

I work in the building and every time I order food for pick-up they MESS IT UP. Um, how hard is it to mess up a salad?
(1)Ian H.
To welcome back a personal favorite, I probably would have given it FIVE stars if it hadn't been for the slow service and disordered kitchen. I try to focus my attention on the food so here we go! My brother and I decided to go here after peak lunch hours (2 PM) on Thursday to try out the newly opened Bennigan's at Tyson's Corner. We started with Mix & Match (choose 3) Crowd Pleaser appetizer. There are seven to choose from but we decided on these: 1. Hogan's Egg Rolls: Southwestern style egg roll cut into fours and served with a pineapple/sour cream based sauce. Just fine and NOT too greasy. 2. Broccoli Bites: imagine fried mac&cheese bites but instead broccoli cheese soup filled. DELICIOUS and quite a few poppers. 3. Pub Bites (Irish Country Pot Roast): these were the star of the Crowd Pleaser but due to a kitchen mix-up, we were brought the Buffalo Chicken version instead. We were able to try both which was nice. Due to the Crowd Pleaser kitchen mix-up, we were comp'd the appetizer seeing we HAD-TO-WAIT almost 30 minutes for them to bring us what we had actually ordered. Remember, not the Buffalo Chicken but the Irish Country Pot Roast. Trying to focus on the food, yea? For our lunch, my brother ordered the Irish Dip. Essentially, this is a roast beef sandwich on a hoagie roll PACKED with said beef, onion straws and cheddar cheese coupled with both au jus and horseradish sauce. Awesome. Simply awesome and quite the portion when paired with their thicker-than-average fries. Think more steak cut. For myself, I went with the tried and true classic that I had not been able to have for the past few years: the Monte Cristo. Because it had been so long since I had the original version of this truly iconic, deep-fried sandwich, I decided to have it "as served" instead of requesting my version. Hesitant about having a fried sandwich? Don't be and find out by reading about Bennigan's version and then try it. Just as amazing as I remember and truthfully, less greasy. Plenty to share with a friend or date and served with those thicker-than-average fries. Yes, they are good! All in all, the food was great, I will be back for my Monte Cristo version and am confident that this Bennigan's will iron out the kinks in no time.

This place has potential but it's inconsistent and frustrating to deal with. My company orders wraps for lunch from this place every once in a while. Both the chicken wraps and the turkey wraps were really yummy and juicy. The guacamole in the turkey wrap is a real nice addition and the pepper jack cheese gives it an extra kick. However, in the two occasions where I decided to order some to take home, everything went wrong. The first time I ordered 5 wraps over the phone and specifically asked them to prepare them with no bacon. When I went to pick it up later, all I got was three wraps all with bacon. I had to cancel my order and leave empty handed. I don't know how you can mess up a very simple order. It's the responsibility of whoever is taking the order to double check everything and make sure things are done correctly. The second time, I decided not to take the risk and order dinner to go for the family in person . Long story short, all I received for my 50 dollar order were dry turkey wraps with missing ingredients that I could have made better at home and sweet fries instead of french fries (I really don't like sweet fries!). A very disappointing dinner after a long busy day. I don't plan on wasting more money on messed up orders so I'll be really hesitant to order anything from here again.

Having grown up in Florida where there is a Bennigans in every neighborhood, I was surprised to see their lack of presence in the DMV area. Great to see a Bennigans finally setup shop in the Tysons area -- and what a presence! LED lighting, custom murals, DC art and an awesome porch take this place way beyond your typical sportsbar. The wife and I tried this out for our weekly date-night. We got the veggie fries and wings as appetizers -- and WOW...the wings were superb! Perfectly meaty, juicy and saucy with the perfect kick. Definitely recommend! I tried the pub bites (their version of sliders) while my wife got the chipotle burger. The meat is so juicy, with all the fixins. I also saw some of the other tables order the burger on a pretzel bun, which looked pretty phenomenal (next time!). For dessert we tried both the deep-fried apple caramel dessert and the chocolate brownie with ice cream. Both of these were also top notch and helped put an awesome ending to an already awesome meal. With reasonable prices and great atmosphere, will definitely be back!

First things first...the main reason I went is to get the Monte Cristo. The sandwich was as delish as it was many years ago before they closed all the restaurants. Unfortunately, the service was lackluster at best. We got there before the lunch rush so there were probably about 3-4 tables occupied with people. It took the hostess about 5 minutes to figure out what section she was going to seat us. After we finally got seated, we ordered and the wait begun. For the small amount of tables there (3-4 I remind you), and the 15+ servers and managers just sitting around, it took 30+ minutes to deliver our food. When the food came out, my friends that had asked for the salad dressing on the side, they had already put the dressing in the salad. Attention to details needs to be addressed here. The salads also looked like the lettuce/greens that they used were B/C grade quality. Understand that they just opened, but for the small amount of table tops being served, they should have been able to handle our order in a timely manner. With that said, I would prob just call ahead and order the Monte Cristo and pick it up so that I would not have to deal with their awful service. Just my 2 cents...
(2)XY Y.
Their monte cristo sandwich is a gem! Quick serving time, and nice Irish waiter. I thought I would not love Irish food but theirs is great (I was amazed to see those GIANT french fries too). Will come back for the signatures on the drink menu.
(5)Leslie S.
I give this 5 stars just to thank whoever brought back Bennigans. The southwestern egg rolls might be my most favorite food item in the world. I crave it. I am soooooo happy that they are back and I can get my egg rolls. And the BF is very happy he gets his Monte Cristo. We actually searched DC for a Monte Cristo that even compared to Bennigans and we failed. Hip hip hooray!

Bennigan's should go back out of business! Worst dining experience, maybe even the worst I have ever had in my life. The restaurant was not very busy and it took 1 hour and 20 minutes for lunch, completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, it looks like everyone around us was having the same experience so the restaurant must just mis-managed. We ordered three sandwiches and a salad, the server or kitchen messed up on three out of the four. The food was bad as well. I ordered a chicken sandwich with mayo, tomato and lettuce. The bun was dry and slightly hard like it had been frozen. The chicken was thin, and dry from being over-cooked. It was also delivered with cold fries and without the mayo, tomato and lettuce. We had to request silverware and napkins after the food was delivered. Plus, the server did not check back until 15 minutes after delivering the food to see how everything was. Our ice teas were never refilled until we had to ask, and then the refills were not delivered for another 10 minutes. Oh, it is not over. The check was $60.02 so we asked the server to just split it, putting $15 on each card. We figured one of us would get charged the $0.02 balance. However, when we finally received the checks back (again another 10 minute wait), three of us were charged $14.74 and one $15.80. At this point we were so frustrated with the horrible service, we just signed the slips and left. Save your money. A hot dog cart can do better than Bennigan's.

Did you know Bennigan's went out of business in 2008 and now it's back? Me neither. Did you miss it? Me neither. Should you check out the new location in Tyson's Corner? Only if you hate food that tastes good. I only went due to a Living Social coupon which I bought ironically in the first place. And boy did it live down to my standards! The burger I had was not just dry and flavorless it was wretched. I feel bad for the cow that gave its life for that. The cheese was not even melted on the patty. Even the bottled Coors Light had a bad taste to it. Now that's just trying too hard to make ALL your food taste like crap. And if you love remodeled Marriott Courtyard lobby snack bars, then you'll love the new decor Bennigan's has chosen. While the original look of fun Irish pub was a bit overwrought and tiresome, at least it didn't transform you to the waiting room of a Hyundai dealership. If you're on the verge of suicide, avoid the Tyson's Corner Bennigan's because this will truly push you over the edge. If you're not suicidal, welcome to one of your worst life choices ever!

Outstanding floor manager. One night I walked by this bennigans by accident. The outside seating lured me in so I decided to sit outside and have a drink. Although the restaurant was well staffed I was not willing to wait more than 3 minutes for a drink as I was not really planning to stop in. I told the manager this and he made it right. I had VIP treatment the rest of my visit and I will come back for sure. The manager (Petro) made a difference. As it turned out the food ratings (on yelp) were a better value than my original plan.
(5)Cheryl T.
their baked potato soup was as good as it ever was (although i did add a pinch of salt) and their monte cristo was fab as well!!! their fries are a mix between steak and shoestring, which is still too thick for me, but they were well salted, so that made up for it. luckily the resto is in my building. can't wait to have my favorite combo again!!!

My family and I went to Bennigan's for my father's birthday. The environment was nice and I like the set up. I am from Richmond, Va, so I am used to being in restaurants with a bar and an outdoor patio. This place made me feel at home. The girl who greeted us was really nice and sat my family in a nice table. Our waitress was nice, but to me she seemed new. When ordering, my parents had to repeat three times what they wanted. Of course they speak broken English and I realize how hard it is for others to understand them. When we got our food, dad wanted ketchup and waited until he was half way done with his meal. He tried to get her attention but she looked like she was rushing clearing tables and walking back and forth from the kitchen. I thought customers came first. My mother asked for an A-1 steak sauce and the waitress didn't seem to know what it was. So she had to ask and my mother got the sauce when she was almost done with her steak. Overall she was a nice waitress, just needs to remember that customers come first before anything else. As for the food, I didn't like the County Clare Sampler for appetizers but the wings were delicious! The sampler looked like a pile of random food. It was bland and the plating looked as if it took no effort for presentation. As for my main course, I ordered the Danny Boy Chicken. It was two grilled chicken breasts marinated in garlic served with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli saute. When I got my main course, it looked great. The presentation was amazing. However I was disappointed with the taste. I didn't taste garlic with my chicken or potatoes. The chicken I received was a bit under cooked. The mashed potatoes weren't mashed all the way. I tasted some solid potatoes. I enjoyed the broccoli but everything else was bland. I finished my meal regardless. The food wasn't perfect but who am I to complain? I am no Gordon Ramsay who would be brutally open about food he didn't like. I didn't feel it was my place to say anything. Bennigan's can be better and when I do come back, hopefully it makes improvements.

A great place to enjoy some delicious food with friends, family, and co-workers. Bennigan's provides a warm, friendly atmosphere for all of it's guests. The staff is amazing and the service is brilliant. The menu is diverse and it delivers some of the best food in the Tyson's Corner area. I have had many wonderful experiences while dining here and will continue to come back. Truly fantastic.

They just opened this week and a friend said 'definitely go there' The pros--- 1.really friendly staff. 2.quick service. 3.good food. 4.halal (muslim version of kosher) food. 5. nice ambiance. 6. they are trying really hard to make it a good experience in general. The cons--1.hard to find/small signs out front. 2.no parking in front of the office building it's in---have to park on a 'side lot' which is travelled like a main road. 3. a little disorganized in service--it was the first week so I think this type of stuff should smooth over. 4. A bit too much salt in the food----it was good--just salty. Final synopsis---will make it back---nice food, nice waitstaff, good prices.

Service was great. Our server was very attentive. The food was below average. My kids had the mac and cheese. It looked like the mac and cheese that comes from a box with the cheese powder. I had the monte cristo and my husband had a burger. I didn't like the monte cristo, but others might like it. The burger was dry even though it was supposed to be cooked medium. We won't be going back for the food.

Unfortunately for this particular restaurant, it probably should have stayed in retirement. It's funny how when people are paying for food, we tend to have this expectation of how it should look and taste. Personally, when entering a chain restaurant, such as this, I tend to reduce my requirements to the bare minimum, because if I wanted to be presented with a culinary masterpiece, I wouldn't be sitting here. That said, after a long night of drinking...reiterating that it was a LONG NIGHT OF DRINKING...in Tysons, it only made sense that since we were here we would checkout the Part Deux of Bennigans. I mean, come on...what's better than fried food after getting wasted all night? Everything started out as a disaster, but it somehow found a way to make it further downhill before we finally just gave up and left. Looking back, perhaps it was ominous that my friend's diet coke had spilled all over her en route to Bennigans. Upon requesting a replacement DC from the waiter, we were hit with, "Is Pepsi OK?" ...No, it's not OK! Did you hear anyone ask for a Pepsi? A couple of us ordered coffee that we had to send back because the creamer had a thick and unattractive consistency, kind of like Elmer's Glue. It defied the logic of half and half and was not worth the potential GI distress that would follow. The onion ring tower did come with a tasty dipping sauce, that I did enjoy, but we didn't come here for condiments. They dropped off a sampler platter of unseasoned potato skins, fried broccoli balls, which were ok enough, and southwest rolls that were entirely "m'eh." Our fried adventure started off rather dismally, but the main courses took the experience on a nose dive since a) the grease was definitely old, giving the Monte Cristo and fried fish a darker-than-appetizing brown, b) the Monte Cristo was overly battered, c) the fish was somehow dry inside of that darkly fried batter, d) the burger just was not good. The manager greeted our table and was met with smiling faces, as we explained that everything was uniformly disappointing, though he apparently thought we were joking as we were smiling and laughing (but not eating). If I could rate this experience lower, I would. It was also raining outside, children started to arrive as we were being forced to watch bad food get dropped on our table, and since neither of us lived anywhere near the restaurant, we had to deal with growling stomachs until we got home. It was so bad, in fact, that had we just finished drinking, we might have made a scene (I kid, we have too much class for that). Honestly though, never have I been so disappointed to miss a McDonald's breakfast.

Went to Bennigans after work in a group of 5 coworkers. We decided to get a table since the bar area didn't have a lot of seats available. We had a great server names Ashley. She was funny because you could tell she was putting all her training to use but it worked! We ordered drinks and appetizers. No drink mistakes, the food was great, and Ashley was very attentive to our needs the whole time. All in all we were very pleased!

We decided to try this location due to a Specialicious deal. The server was very friendly and attentive to our food allergies. Food was delicious! There's parking available in front of the restaurant for patrons and they provide an outdoor patio for those wanting to enjoy the outdoors or bring pets. We look forward to returning!

Service was good. The ultimate buffalo chicken salad was great. Nice outdoor area too.

The crew at Bennigans has stepped up their game and things are getting better. The below review was in their first two months of being open - they were a rough two months and they've gotten better. UPDATE... While realizing that this is a somewhat new establishment, it's surprising that they haven't figured out basic processes like assigning waiters to sections. The past two times I've visited, my party would be sat immediately but then basically forgotten until an intervention by either myself or another individual in my party would ask a manager who our waiter was. Further, not quite certain if it's a by product of the wait staff still working out processes but I was a little taken back when I received my club sandwich with cold, uncooked bacon. Sorry, that's just not acceptable - and I hate to say it but I don't think that the waiter really understood that they needed to discard the sandwich and start over. Keep on trying Bennigan's, I remember you in your golden years but your cylinders don't yet seem to be firing properly.

The staff is very friendly and outgoing, which is the best part of the restaurant. The service was extremely slow. I ordered their spinash and blue cheese salad, which should not take long to serve since no food is actually cooked for this order, and it took over an hour it to be ready. The staff apologized for the delay, but did not comp my meal or offer an explanation. If you are ordering take out, this isn't bad. They have the food ready on time, but they are terrible at sit-down service.

Delicious! We split an order of cheeseburger sliders, a NY strip steak, and took a Reuben home. Everything was amazing and the service was fast and friendly. All the meat is halal except the pork. Great place and will definitely return!

So I guess the rumors are true, Bennigan's is back. Off the back I was a bit skeptical to see if this place was as good as I once remembered. And with a comeback under way, it did not disappoint! The Bennigan's at Tyson's Corner was very warm with friendly personalities ( server Dave and Manager Amanda), fast service and great food. However, I would like to see a bit of new inspired creations there.

Chicken Tender Bites - looks like the chef took a chicken breast prepped for an entree, cut it into strips and fried it. Not only was it over cooked, but it lacked flavor. Then the main entree came, the Spicy Chipotle Burger. It was served cold and wasn't even remotely spicy. Service was somewhat slow considering it was a Saturday lunch. Hope things improve...

The food was just average. But I was rather disappointed with the manager. Since I am currently eligible for tax exemption in the United States, I take the opportunity to use it especially if the cost is almost $100 or above $100. The manager told me that he has never encountered such thing before in his entire life. Then, he told me that Arab people are richer than me because they do not use tax exempt. I was really shocked to hear him say that because no one has ever said that to me before. I have never been humiliated like that for using a tax exemption card. I don't plan on going to this restaurant again in the near future.

With so many choices, don't pick this place! The food is so so- the place was dead for a Saturday night- the atmosphere is really bad (like eating in a cafeteria- could we put up the lights any more to kill any cozy aspect??). The waitress kept coming over - super rush for everything- she had one more table besides us! Come'on! And when we said we would wait a bit before ordering (but did order drinks- it was ONLY 430pm!!)- she looked downright mad! Anyway, we will not be coming back.
