Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Amazing food and caring staff. This is one of my "must stops" every week.

Hands down, best pizza in the area. Try ordering a pie with different toppings, like tomatoes, to get a even fresher pie with more cheese. Service is brusque but that's how it should be! Ps. Dessert fans and appetizer fans will be very happy here. Try the cannoli, tiramsu, and bruschetta. Oh, and mozzarella sticks!

I'm in love with this place! The pizza is excellent. Made in brick oven. Ummmm ummmm good!!!!

Here's the the thing, if you are Italian from NYC or even CT, this is going to be the pizza joint for you! It is FABULOUS! The sauce is spot on; the crust is perfect from a traditional brick oven with just a hint of olive oil. Order the Margarita if you want perfection -- fresh mozzarella with basil leaves and their absolutely authentic NYC Little Italy style sauce. The meatballs are terrific -- big, tender with just a hint of fennel. Clearly, it's a traditional recipe like Grandma and Mama made. They get the eggplant parm right, too, obviously pressing and draining the eggplant before frying it fork tender. That brings us full circle. Happily, it is a REAL Italian family that owns this local chain and yes, once upon a time they really did have a place in NYC, hence the name. And, it's run just like the places "at home" -- efficient, precise and fast. All the stores in the chain use the same method to take the orders and each store serves over a hundred customers a day -- they must be doing something right. So, ignore the critics, stop in for authentic and affordable Italian food. And, as any regular can tell you, come in often enough, they get to know you and welcome you like family. We've been patrons for years and will be for years to come.

After my friend and I did some wine tasting, we wanted something quick and tasty on a cold day. He suggested we had to go to Tonys because they have the best Greek salads. We got 2 slices of NY style cheese, a chicken roll( it comes with a side of marinara for dipping, you had me at dipper) and a Greek salad( another perfect pick). The soda situation was a bit ridiculous with the 1 refill policy. I mean it's 2015 and we just paid nearly 4 bucks for a fountain drink , don't skimp on beverages, huge turnoff. Nothing fancy, just really good food. Easy and cost efficient. In DC that would have cost us 30 -40 bucks, here under 20. The pizza is NY influenced, but really darn good.
(4)Sara J.
good food, the service is not 5 stars, but they where very busy that day. will come back again for sure
(4)Rose R.
Great food..good service!!!!! Enjoyed the efficient delivery of our food..and it was fresh and well prepared. Highly recommend this food..

Dependable pizza in Manassas. Family owned and operated. Place your order with the cashier and you will be given a number. Once your order is ready, your number is called. Things were a bit disorganized as we were placing our order but everything fell into place in the end. Plenty of seating is available. Condiments, napkins, plastic silverware are within reach. Tried the New York Style Pizza and Focaccia Style Pizza. Both had a nice chew but I prefer the thinner crust. The ingredients on each slice tasted fresh and I appreciate that they weren't overly salty. The sauce had a nice sweet and tangy flavor. Tony's may not be authentic New York pizza, but it's still tasty. A good place to visit if you're in the area and in the mood for quality pizza.
(4)Bob G.
We have patronized this Tony's location for many years. My wife was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY -- she KNOWS New York pizza. She declares with great affection, "THIS is New York pizza!"
(5)J R.
Spent the first 21 years of my life in NY.. where pizza crust is made from scratch, sauce is rich in flavor and abundant, toppings fresh, nothing from a package. -sigh- The pizza from the place tastes like a frozen pizza that's been sitting out all day. Bland and dry. The dough tastes like the stuff you buy in a can at wegmans. Costco across the street has better pizza than this place. Dinner from Tonys was a waste of money... Will not order from again.
(1)Scott D.
Chicken tortelline soup was bland, served luke warm with al dente tortellines (uncooked, tomato colored water with tiny shavings of old, dry chicken breast. The pasta was filled with some sort of cheese-not tasty at all. The slice of pizza was served cool, mostly bread, cheese not melted and not very tasty either. Won't come back.
(1)Frank E.
This place has been a local favorite for years. Classic crusts, fresh toppings, AMAZING TIRAMISU. Everything is made in house. The owner greets you at the counter, like the local pizza joint should be.
(5)J P.
Last time I ordered here we must have gotten a old medium size white pizza it had no flavor and tasted like cardboard what a disappointment. Haven't returned since.
(2)Diane B.
Touring the manassas battlefields wanted a quick lunch. No waitress service order at the counter they call your number when ready several choices of pizza hubby had thick crust Hawaiian and I had 2 slices of white veggie --awesome. They also have full dinners, salads and desserts . Would eat here again if in the area

I moved to Stafford in 2011 from Philadelphia and have been so disappointed in every pizza shop I've tried. Every pizza place I've been to has been soggy with crust that's way too thin to support it, had too much sauce, or over cooks their cheese. It took me 2 and a half years to find this place, but I'm so glad I did. The pizza tastes just like the kind I miss so much from Philly and New York. The crust was perfect, it had just the right amount of sauce, and the cheese tasted great and wasn't burned. The only downside I can think of is that the staff wasn't super friendly and they could have put a few more pepperonis on the slices, but other than that I was very satisfied. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was only five or six other people there.

When I think of Tony 's I think of friendly service, or at least service that makes a customer feel valued. Not this time, tonight being 12/27/2014 I went around 9:40 pm because we had looked up that Tony closes at 11pm with my brother his wife and their baby and This place normally is a great place to get a good slice. The pizza was fine, but as my family myself And some other customers were enjoying our meals, the owner came over and told us "get up it's time to go." He continued by saying "Go, go were closed get out " and then he hands my family a box for the pizza. Urging us out. I'm thinking I thought the owner would love that his restaurant is a place where families can come and enjoy a slice. But no he literally had said all of this, he was kicking us all out. Which I understand he wants to go home, but damn! No need to be a dick, Were paying customers! I'm not complaining for him wanting to go home, I'm saying the manner he told us to go home was fucked up and uncalled for. I'm going to say to he'll with this place and I'm never going back. The owner fucked up and certainly lost a customer. This guy had the nerve to speak to us in that manner, not caring for the fact that we had a baby. Not caring for the other customers who were a group just like us enjoying our meal and enjoying our conversation. I warn everybody the next time you want a slice, don't consider giving your money to a man that won't value you as a customer. Tony 's is not a place for families nor for friends to meet up. Don't eat at Tony 's forget this place the owner doesn't value his customers. If he did he would have asked us to kindly leave. But nope it didn't come to his mind to treat grown adults like adults and with respect . Never going back.
(1)Ciera F.
Awful pizza. Asked for a simple request: medium cheese pizza, light on the cheese, and we get a pizza with no cheese, that is disgusting. On top of that, after putting their address into two of my GPS's and being taken to the wrong spot, I called them and even after speaking to two people, neither employee was able to direct me even close to their location....
(1)Ruby P.
Food is good, equal to other places, nothing to special, they just make it look special as the restaurant is big and set up is made attractive, but taste is same old. It so overpriced. . . a small thin slice of chocolate cake $ 5.32., r u kidding me??? The attitude of the owner/ mustache old Italian man wearing nice priced shirt taking the orders is totally not appreciated. . . Why should I keep feeding his poket and make his richer, no customer appreciation what so ever!
(2)Geoff R.
Overpriced, bland pizza. The sauce is too sweet. I don't get all the hype this place gets. I prefer Domino's over this place.
(2)Kimberly C.
I am a New Jersey girl that lives in VA after I was moved here as a kid for my step-dad's government work. I still visit NY/NJ regularly, and absolutely cannot leave without eating both Chinese, and pizza. I want my pizza thin, cheesy, and with a floppy tip. That is exactly what you get at Tony's. There is not a single menu item that I havent liked, and the pizza is to die for if you want something that actually resembles good NY style pie. The pieces are also a pretty nice size as well. I once ordered two slices; I couldnt finish. Two words: HOUSE SALAD. They make their own balsamic dressing and it is addicting. The salads are always large, full of goodies (marinated peppers, kalamatas, veggies, green olives, beets, cheese, mushrooms...the list continues) and in a nice big serving. It is usually a 10 minute wait or so for your food, sometimes a little longer if its packed (which is often is) but it is worth the wait. The only CON is that they do not deliver. If they did, I am pretty sure I would eat pizza at least 3 times a week. Thank god they dont!
(5)Victoria L.
5 stars for the ooey gooey cheesy pizza that burns your tounge since it's so hot but you keep biting anyways because it's THAT good. Yes, it's LIKE that! Not only is the pizza delicious but the steak and cheese is bomb.com and the wings are money. It's authenthic, fresh and cheap. Service is good even though the cashier always looks grumpy (I think he's the manager) but thats ok I just need him to take my order. Yummm...someone take me to Tony's pronto!
(5)Jacob F.
Very fast service. Ahmazing greek salads. Pizza is fantastic as well. And of course best canoli in town. All of this combined with world class service worth every penny.
(5)Derek S.
Every time I go there same food every time. I know what I'm going to get, the quality is the same. Fair price for what you get, and I think that if you are hungry its the place to eat. Pizza is legit.
(5)Doris D.
They have edible New York style pizza, salads were good, pastas were ok, and the garlic bread was not very good. Nothing really wowed me.
(3)Warren C.
Still the best pizza in the area. Like some of the other reviewers I grew up in north Jersey and besides southern Connecticut, I think they have the consistently best pizza in the country. Trust me, this place fills the need for that pizza. Their seafood pastas have always been very good (try the linguine with scallops, crabmeat and shrimp in rose sauce the next time they have it!) and I love their meatball parm. I don't care about someone behind the counter that maybe doesn't smile at me, or a piece of cake that's a little expensive...go here for a great pizza, very good pastas and delicious hot parm subs. And get a Boylan's soda to wash it all down. Keep up the good work Tony's!
(5)John B.
This is among the best pizza joints / families in the DC area. Outside of Manhattan, you won't do much better.
(4)Matt W.
It's ALWAYS good. Every time I come here I have high expectations, and they're met. Good pizza, salads, mozzarella sticks. I could keep on going and going. Tony's is great! I love getting a whole pizza to share with a few loved ones. Definitely one of my favorite parts of visiting Manassas! And this time, I we went 2x! Thanks, Tony's!!
(5)Bonnie C.
Quick update re: our takeout order yesterday, which hubby picked up on the way home from work. Hubby had the "Broccoli & Cheese Calzone", which was SUPER-stuffed with both broccoli & spinach, but was quite a bit lacking re: the cheese. Pretty much all veggie. Crust & accompanying marinara dipping sauce were both good. I had the "Cold Italian Sub", which was adequately filled with ham, salami, cheese (provolone I'm guessing - couldnt really tell), lettuce, sliced tomatoes, & sliced sweet onion. The real topper? They provided a small plastic cup of excellent Italian Balsamic Vinegar dressing on the side so that I could add it to the sandwich at home instead of receiving a pre-dressed soggy sandwich. It's the little touches that count, & we're still fans!
(4)Anthony T.
I been coming here for about w while now and i noticed that the food size was getting smaller and smaller, dont get me wrong but the food is still good but they are being cheap about it, and the subs are getting smaller as well. Step up the game guys.
(2)Sarah B.
Best pizza in Manassas. Best subs in Manassas. Quality ingredients, and the tomatoes are NOT styrofoam. They make a righteous homemade lasagna. Even better: lasagna pizza! And the marinara. One can always tell a good Italian restaurant by the quality of its marinara. You can get imported Italian desserts, wines, and soft drinks. Pretty neat. But I have had a dry cannoli or two at Tony's. Also worth mentioning is that most of the fried appetizers are frozen from a bag, and generally not worth eating. The pasta is Barilla. Which isn't bad, but not homemade. But of the dough, and all the wonderful things they make in-house? Oohhhhh yeeeahhh.
(4)Steve J.
I have a hard time reading other reviews that state "I'm from NY and this pizza is not as good..." You know what... they're probably right... BUT... I'm from NY and when it comes to local pizza here in Manassas, Tony's is well worth the visit. I order from Tony's on occasion and even dine in every now and again. Hard to beat what Tony's has to offer... reasonably priced too. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
(4)Adrienne M.
This is my family's new favorite pizza joint. Just split a large cheese between the two of us (plus a toddler), and it was scrumptious. Got it to go. Be sure to eat while it's hot. The cheese tends to fall right off when it cools. The slices are large and flat or thin, just like a good NY style should be. I found the tomato sauce to be very fresh-tasting and full of sweet basil flavor. The cheese was robust and lightly browned on top. Overall, it was a tad oily, not enough to dab off with a napkin, but a few drops worth. The crust was soft but oddly tasted like curry, garlic, and Chinese food in different places. I can't even begin to try to explain that.

We went to get takeout from Tony's NY Pizza in the Bull Run Plaza on Sudley Manor. After hearing and even reading so many good reviews, I was surprised to find out that it was the worst pizza I have had in the area yet. We placed an order for a large cheese pizza with extra sauce. Simple enough. I was told 15-20 minutes and it would be ready. The place was packed, which to me, is a good sign, meaning they have good food. The Pros: They seemed pleasant enough. The Cons: The pizza tasted like stale day old pizza with fake cheese, almost no sauce, and the 4 of us all thought it was terrible, even the kids, who love just about any pizza. The crust was bad, it wasn't thin and wonderful nor doughy and thick. It was a throw away even for those who LOVE crust. We waited over 30 minutes inside and during that timeframe I saw how people would order a couple of slices of pizza, and it would sit there, ready, for at least 5-10 minutes, until one of the employees actually called the order number. Instead of getting extra sauce ON the pizza, which is what is always done, they gave us a small container of sauce on the side....so we can dip the bad tasting bread/imitation pizza in it. Unfortunately, that didn't make it better. Nothing could have made that pizza better. Even if it was a complete accident that the pizza came out like that. I wouldn't be back. We all felt sick after eating it and threw away the rest...and we NEVER throw away pizza.
(1)John L.
Good food, Good atmosphere, quick and cheap. I plan of coming back. I would recommend to anyone.
(4)Devin M.
Love the NY slices of pizza. Honestly 2 slices is about the size of half of pizza. Fresh ingredients and good customer service. Local favorite I frequent this place.
(4)Teresa M.
We used to go at least once a week for years as my friend has "special order" for how she wants her spaghetti marinara made. We would always get their plain large pizza which was always a great amount of cheese and the dough cooked enough. The cheese was simple mozzarella! Once in awhile a special steak and cheese and lasagna. We have not gone in over a month as the spaghetti order was a VERY small amount. The pizza crust seemed stale along with being really chewy. The steak an cheese as usual really sloppy and messy-but topping decent amount. This last round was especially bad since such regular customer and we always order the same items. Really rate 2.5 and again the portion size for the spaghetti and lasagna for the cost disappointing. Someone let us know if you have found a great cheese pizza with simply mozzarella cheese and no additional additives such as garlic or Parmesan cheese.
(3)Adam M.
I was a little underwhelmed for a 4+ star rating on Yelp. The Pizza wasn't awful, but it wasn't anything to write home about either. Based on the reviews/comments here, maybe I should have tried the Stromboli instead.
(3)L M.
Best Italian food outside of NY! Typical NY-style pizza place but don't stop at just the pizza! Everything here is exceptional and it get's crowded during lunch and dinner. We've been coming here since they opened when we would call for take-out and always be '#1' - those days are long gone! Tony is also straight from Italy so you know it's authentic. Highly recommended!
(5)Amber L.
I have never had a bad experience! Food is good! Salad's are the best but wish a normal salad size was offered!
(4)Lauri L.
The best spinach, chicken pesto chicken anywhere! My family loves Tony's pizza.
(5)Zane W.
It wasn't the best of Italian food that I have had, but it was good. The prices were reasonable.
(3)Christopher W.
So this place calls a cheese pizza with basil a margarita pizza. What a ripoff.
(1)Joseph G.
the pizza is good, but wtf why dont these asshats deliver, but whatever the pizza is good everything else is ok wings are not that great. some of the people are nice. one of the older guys i think is the manager is super lame. any who enjoy the closest thing to ny pizza in the area.
(3)Chad F.
When we first walked in, the smell was amazing. The restaurant was clean, and the dining are is HUGE! The Tony's special is to die for! Unfortunately they ran out of mozzarella sticks, so we tried the fried ravioli. The cannolis were excellent. Hell, it was all excellent!!! Looking forward to trying a sub there soon.
(5)Nicole L.
I've probably tried all of the pizza places in Manassas and this is by far the best one. The food tastes homemade with very fresh ingredients. I highly recommend trying Tony's. You will never go to a blah pizza chain again. The only downside is that they don't deliver :(
(4)Brian E. G.
Best pizza and Italian dishes in Manassas - Bull Run! We're there 2x a week for a pizza pie. Great family restaurant. Not big in size, but plenty of everything else.
(4)Vanessa P.
5 star, big, floppy, foldable slices of NY style pizza. A little greasy but napkins will soak it right up. I recommend the broccoli / spinach calzone, the pepperoni pizza, the italian sub and the steak and cheese sub. Last I checked they were open til 12a pretty much every night. Get's VERY crowded during lunch.
(5)Andy S.
Great pizza and subs (italian and steak & cheese)!
(5)Carrie H.
Great pizza all the time
(5)Tu-van L.
Finally had slices of their pepperoni and cheese pizzas. Very tasty and with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The images of the grease pools I had to dab off with my napkins still disturb me, but it didn't keep me from enjoying its yumminess. Still can't believe they charge $0.50 for soda refills.
(4)R. J.
Very consistently good - atmosphere is lacking but the food is excellent - love their pizza, but the best thing they offer is the steak 'n cheese - it's the best I've ever eaten anywhere (except in Philadelphia!) - NY Style pizza is close but not quite there - not sure what the difference is but it is certainly good. Pricey for a place with almost no atmosphere whatsoever - just a bunch of tables and chairs, but at least it is clean and efficient - they take your order quickly and it's ready in less than 10 mins.
(4)Brian K.
Pizza is always hot and fresh when I come. The steak sub is also fantastic with a sizable helping of beef along with freshly toasted bread. I will miss this place when I move away.
(5)Jackie J.
Food was great! Had a yummy Stromboli and steak and cheese!
(4)Min Sae C.
******4.5 stars******** This is the kind of place that you hope lives up the the hype and this place delivers. Had the Ton'ys pizza and steak and cheese sub. The steak and cheese sub was the best one I've had in this area ever!!! The entire menu made me drool and I wanted to order everything. You can tell that these guys take pride in their food and the staff was friendly and engaging. Can't wait to go back and try some other items. Too bad they don't have one of these closer to the Fairfax area.
(4)Keith E.
I love eating here...always delicious!
(5)Sal B.
I have been going to Tony's for 13 years. The quality of their food is consistent. This is not a fancy dinning experience a la Chef Ramsey. It is a mom and pop type pizzeria. I have tried their entire menu. I am not kidding, my office was walking distance and this was my place for lunch. Their subs are excellent. Their pizza is very good, much better than the chain pizza places. Their main dishes are good. My wife loves their Veal Parmesan. I have noticed instead of increasing prices they have reduced the portions of veals. No biggie. The service is excellent. My son one loves one of their specials, shrimp parmesan. We went on a Sunday and it was not in the specials or regular menu. He ask for them and they prepared them for him. THAT IS EXCELLENT SERVICE. I will continue to visit Tony's as long as they don't change.
(4)Samy M.
Tony`s New York Pizza is a family favorite! A favorite of our family! Wide selection GREAT tasting food and AMAZING combination pizzas. We love that we can all have our favorite toppings, as we can buy by the slice! Restaurant is extremely clean and staff very friendly!"
(5)Mark S.
Great pizza! The other Tony's in Manassas is good too! Not sure if they are connected. But both Tonys are GREAT! love their NY style pizza
(5)Aimee C.
I used to work in the shopping center and miss getting Tony's as often as I did! The food is always hot and delicious. The pizza is huge and the good kind of greasy! It can get crowded around lunchtime, but I usually don't have a hard time finding a seat. *My favorites* Pepperoni and mushroom pizza, meatball sub, calzones, the cheesy bread I always forget the name of, and chicken alfredo.
(5)Jalon Z.
Tony's Pizza is a local custom for many Manassas families. Staffed by an extended Italian family behind the counter, this is the spot for the best family-friendly Italian food in the area. With Tony's in town, there is no reason to give your money to Pizza Hut, Pizzeria Uno or other large flavor-inhibited franchise. At Tony's, there is always a line at the counter with about half of the customers picking up take-out orders. The dining room is separated enough into different levels to allow the smaller tables some privacy from the large family booths, which get noisy. This is a great place for a family pizza night out or for a few people to get some serious dinner on. While the pizza is great, the hidden specialty of Tony's is in the pasta dishes. Our favorite is the Linguini alla Posillipo which contains shrimp, clams, squid and mussells with marinara sauce on top of perfectly cooked linguini on a beautiful Italian plate. With the accompanying salad, its easily enough for two people. I have also tried the homemade lasagna, which is the real thing and is baked in the pizza oven in its serving dish. There are a variety of calzones ready-made behind the counter and pizza slices, which are good for a quick lunch or dinner, but they don't compare to the food prepared to order. Note that the overhead menu is confusing and lacks a lot of explanation and dishes that are in the paper menu. Grab a paper menu while you stand in line. This place is especially great when going out with a child because you can order some pasta and salad and a big slice of cheese pizza. The pizza slice and salad will be ready very quickly so the kids can get to eating right away and give your ears a break. There is another Tony's Pizza location, identical to this one on Mathis Avenue on the other side of Manassas. The Mathis Ave location is very crowded and noisy, with one large, open dining room so we prefer to drive farther to the Sudley Manor location and eat in peace.
(4)Jamie M.
The only thing that got me through my full morning hike without quitting was the promise of a big, greasy slice of pizza at the end. This place was only a few miles away from the Manassas Battlefield, in a Shoppers complex. It wasn't too busy around noon when I got there, although it does take a little while for the line to get going while people try to decipher the huge menu and decide what they want. The one thing I thought was weird is that you order and then go sit down. After they call your number you finally get to pay. Not sure why I couldn't pay while I waited, but whatever works for them. I paid $2.99 for a big slice of cheese pizza and a small fountain drink. The pizza was good, not the best I've ever had, but nice for a cheap lunch. I didn't think it was exceptionally greasy, but I did dab off some of the oil. Like Tu-Van said, the fountain drinks are behind the counter so you have to pay for refills (disappointing since I was hoping to be able to refill my water bottle). I'll be back to try their subs the next time I head out this direction.
(3)Evan S.
I was an out-of-towner who visited Tony's by recommendation, as I wanted to try a few local hangouts. Solid Italian food... the pizza was EXTREMELY greasy. Some of the greasiest I've ever had. I used so many napkins, maybe eight or ten, and by the end of my mopping I managed to get the napkins stuck to the cheese. Not my style of pizza at all. The cheese was sparse and tended to fall right off the pizza, but it wasn't very flavorful so I didn't really mind. The dough wasn't bad, however, and the sauce was pretty good. I also had their root beer - very good - and their cheese bread, which was the best thing I had there. Marinara sauce was forgettable, but the bread was soft, tasty, and whatever cheese they put on that was subtle and had a good flavor. All the other customers were families, and everyone seemed to be having a good time... except the employees, who were universally surly, borderline hostile, and clearly didn't want to be working there. No idea what's going on with that. Not a smile or even a "hello" to be found. I'm not sure I'll ask to go back to Manassas the next time I'm in town, but it was a good oncer.

Well, props for offering a Gluten Free Pizza. As I said in other reviews for places offering gluten free items; it is exciting to see places that I can consume food outside of my home. So today, I ventured into Tony's New York Pizza right before the lunch rush. Very few people were in the restaurant and only one customer was in line ahead of me when I entered. No greeting, where do I order? I'm looking all around. The lady ahead of me has left, so I just start ordering with the first person who looks up. Food: I ordered a Gluten Free Vegetable Pizza with no cheese: Strange look from the gentleman taking my order. I asked if they offer GF pizza, he said yes. Ok, I'm in the right place.. Food takes an appropriate amount of time and my number was called to come pick it up. I payed and struggled to take my tray with one hand as I was holding a toddler with the other. (I know, I know, why did I eat out with my youngest son? It was lunchtime, I'm pregnant and we were hungry.. again) I was so grateful when another customer offered to take my tray to my table! Anyway, about the food: Gluten Free crust was crispy on the bottom- yay! And soggy under my veggies. ew. The veggies were an interesting selection of broccoli, yellow peppers, sweet onions and marinated jalepenos (not spicy, probably a good thing as I wouldnt have been able to eat much of them in this 9 months) The sauce was alright, and overall it was an ok pizza. I've had worse. (being gluten free for ten years, I've had some awful meals, but things are better everywhere nowadays) My 2.5 yr old was excited about pizza and I ordered him one slice of regular pepperoni pizza. It was SO greasy though, and took 6 napkins to eliminate some of the grease before giving it to him. Service: The customers in line and eating around you will be nicer than the folks taking your order. Thats a little scary for someone like me who really needs to communicate about food allergies. I approach those who prepare my food with a smile and eye contact. Is it too much to ask for that in return? An older gentleman took my order, he seemed to be one of authority and that worried me. If he doesn't care about customer service, then will he give a crap that I might have an allergic reaction in his restaurant? hmmm Food for thought... I really have to think about returning. So far, no reaction to the GF crust. Thats a good thing! I'm sure they use the same pizza cutter though for all the pizza and obviously the same ovens and pizza boards. Its a risk eating out anywhere, I suppose.

I dream of Tony's! We always order the sausage pizza and a greek salad. The menu items and calzones are good too. We drive 30 minutes to eat here over our local pizza joints. Delicious!

Great place, Great food and Great staff. My family and I love the food. It's our friday night pizza spot.

Amazing Authentic Italian Cuisine. The pizza is absolutely incredible, as well as the pepperoni rolls, calzones, foccacia bread, ect. Better than NY's Pizza. And the prices are very reasonable. My wife has a gluten allergy and they recently started offering a gluten free pizza, which is great!

Every time I am in town, I hit up Tony's! Best steak sandwich I've had in N. VA. Highly recommend them.

Excellent food and service. Great pizza and the meatball sandwich is as good as it gets in VA.

My husband and I love Tonys!!! Our favorite pizza place in manassas!! We eat here almost every sunday!!

Good food and good service. Best pizza you can find.

I am originally from the NY area, Jersey City, NJ to be exact right across the water from Manhattan. When I moved down here, there was nothing but CHAINS, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, etc. I was highly disappointed. I have been here going on seven years and recently discovered "Tonys NY Pizza" and when I say this pizza is as close as any Northern Native is going to get I am sooo serious. The light tomato sauce and the generous amount of cheese is enough to take you back home where pizzerias are the CHAINS and a slice for a 1.80 is not bad AT ALL!

Tony's is my favorite pizza place in the Manassas area. I've only had the pizza, because it is so good I don't care to try anything else.

Tony's Pizza in Bull Run Plaza was the first good place my family and I ate at when we moved to Manassas from the Philly area 12 years ago. It's still the best place for a taste my Neapolitan mother's cooking south of the Mason Dixon line. Sure, the pizza is good, but the pasta and salad dishes are restaurant quality (not "pizza parlor"). The place can be loud at times though, with the owner brusqely calling out order numbers. But that just adds to the homely charm for me!

So so good - When I used to work in Manassas, this was a regular stop for lunch. The focaccia is really good (comes with melted cheese). Caution to vegetarians - the "marinara" sauce that is served with most things is made with ground meat.

Excellent pizza at a bargain price! The pasta dishes are good, too, but there's no reason to order anything other than the pizza. All 3 stores seem equally good.

IMO, this place gets as close to NYC as pretty much anyone in Northern VA. Food is good, quick, be ready to order when you come up to the register.

Love the entire Tony's chain. My opinion is that the service is better here at the Sudley Manor location, but the food is slightly better @ Mathis. Regardless, the cheesesteak, chick cheesesteak, antipasto, and calzone's are excellent. Most of my friends consider it the best pizza in town, but I'm not sure I've ever eaten the pizza here. Again, not exactly a warm reception, but I guess that makes this place a bit more authentic NYC.

I've been going to Tony's NY for the last 15 years. They have great food, their pizza is the best in the Manassas area. A great group of guys.

I like NY style pizza, but Tony's was just okay to me. I agree with the other reviewers that I'd prefer to spend my cash at a local pizza place, but Tony's is strictly a lunch place for me. I just didn't think the pizza was that great. I love Pizzarama in Gainesville, better sauce, better crust and better toppings. But I've only been to Tony's a few times (including their new one in Bristow), and based on the great reviews maybe I just went there on a bad day. Maybe I'll try it again as the service was fine and the restaurant in good condition/clean.

Well when i went there i first thought to myself...what a zoo...there's just the front counter where everyone has to go to order/pick up meals but there's no sign saying "order here" "pick up here" there's just the counter, now granted i did go when it was busy but i think they need to get organized as far as that's concerned. As for the food, great! i got a sausage/pepperoni pizza and I really enjoyed it. Second day it was even good so 4 stars for Tony's

Who doesn't LOVE Tony's????

If you like great pizza and great bread this is the place to go to. If you want to be treated like Jerry was by the Soup Nazi for sure go to this place. The staff is very rude.

There needs to be more stars to give !!! I absolutely love this place. In fact this is likely my favorite place in Manassas. The food is amazing. My favorite is the white pizza with spinach and broccoli. Odd I know, but I love it!!! Their salads are on point as well. This is a great place to order out our sit in. Grab a pie and grab a beer and enjoy the awesome experience.

For the area, the pizza is good. However, if you've lived elsewhere in the US, it's not impressive. Also, there is a huge dichotomy here. The pizza is pretty good for the area and the price. However, the lasagna is horrid! It's expensive and tastes like something you buy from the frozen food aisle; it was even drowning in water from having been frost bitten. I've actually never had worse lasagna from a restaurant in my life, and it was over $12! Really?! Anyhow, if you come, just stick to the pizza or garlic bread.

Ate here twice. Same order: 2 plain slices and a fountain coke. Pretty average pizza compared to NJ. First time was a bit better, the pie was reheated like they do for slice service, and was hot and crisp. Second go round the pie was fresh and maybe a bit undercooked, but ok. Average prices too. The place seemed pretty clean. They did seem a bit odd behind the counter both times. It's a whole production of writing a check, passing it to a special oven guy, waiting, getting it back with the slices, then pouring your soda, calling out your number even though you're standing right there... finally letting you pay after all that. Very rigid and odd to me. Maybe they need this when they're busy, so they just do it all the time. Where I come from the same guy takes your order, cuts the pie and throws it in the oven, pours your soda and charges you, by then your slices are hot and he gets them. Bada bing. No big deal. Thats not to say anything is bad here, just not what I'm used to. In the end it was a good average pizza lunch.

They know their pizza : fresh and cheesy with quality toppings . No canned mushrooms, no waxy mystery cheese-like glop, no tasteless cardboard textured crust. No! Tony's is the real deal: delicious home made man handled dough, stretched into circles and sauced..cheesed...with toppings dealt by human hands with the expertise of a card dealer in a casino. Their salads are flavorful and crisp, the portions are fair and the beer comes in a pitcher. Iced glasses! And there's more than just one location, each is as good..this one is small and can get packed quickly , the staff handles the crowd well and feeds them fast. Parking in the lot can be tricky, be prepared to walk.

This pizza place is the physical representation of why the south lost the civil war. Anyone who posted on here that the pizza is just like NY/New Haven pizza is completely full of it (or has never been to either of those places). Had a couple of slices of cheese, should have walked over to the Shoppers across the street and bought a Red Baron. Also had a Chicken Parmesan sub. Didn't realize it was possible to make a chicken tenderloin have the texture of leather.

I have to agree with some of the other posts on here. The pizza is good but it's nothing I would compare to up North. Hey they get a A for effort. I've tried their steak hoagie and its mediocre at best. Definitely not my first choice but not the worst place you can go to in Manassas. There is too many to name lol.
