Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

The best pizza and subs in town! The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. What else can you ask for? I really like the new owner and his wife. They're great people and really make you feel welcomed. I'm definitely going to be a regular here. Thank you, Adam's Pizza and Subs for a wonderful experience!

Ordered their 8" Steak & Cheese Sub with a side of fries, and a large Diet Coke. You order at the register, then grab a table and sit down (if you are eating in). The guys running the place seem like they are the real deal Italian (or somewhere close by in the Mediterranean). I saw them greet a couple of other folks who came in with cheek kissing like you'd see in parts of Southern Europe/Mediterranean. Anyhoo - back to the sub. I ordered it with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, and hot peppers. Sub bread was fabulous, meat, cheese, and the other ingredients - all tasty. Fries were excellent, hot, meaty, crisp. Food came up quickly. Guy brought my food out to my table. There is not a lot of room to eat in here - but there are tables - about 10-12 I'd guesstimate. The only reason I am holding back the fifth star is that I asked for hot peppers - what I got were bland banana peppers. I would most definitely eat here again - excellent sub!

Reading the history of reviews is, I believe, always helpful in understanding where a place has been, and where it is going. Reviews trending upwards, or downwards, can signal a change in standards or ownership. In the case of Adam's Pizza, it seems that reviews were high in the past, then took a dip over the past year, until a recent change of ownership. This weekend was the first time I had tried them - and seriously, I don't know what took me this long since I live a couple of miles away and go to neighboring BadWolf ALL THE TIME. (Bow down to the Duke, baby!) But I have no frame of reference from past ownership or probable decline, I only have very recent experience to go on. I stopped by BadWolf's insanely crowded charity event/mini beer festival Sunday with the intention of getting something (most likely pizza) from Adam's to take home and eat while watching Wrestlemania XXX. They ran out of beer FAST and by the time I got there I had enough time to get one beer, so I headed across the street to Heritage, told the wife to meet me there. I called Adam's and placed a to go order for a deep dish Steak and Cheese pizza, which normally has steak, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions. But no onions for us. The pizza smelled fantastic on the short ride back home, and we tore into that sucker as soon as we got in the door. For me, this is the best pizza I've had in Manassas outside of Tony's. The deep dish crust is awesome. My wife thought it was good, but not her favorite because it was too greasy. Like mop the top with a napkin greasy. But no self-respecting man mops the top of their pizza. I like it that greasy, and was in pizza heaven. So last night I decided to check out their subs. I ordered their Philly Steak and Double Cheese, which comes grilled onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. I got mine with mushrooms only, and double meat. However, I didn't get a Philly Steak, I got a Steak Grinder - or what some call a "Washington" Steak and Cheese. It had lettuce and tomato on it. The double meat portion was kind of weak, and and the mushrooms weren't prevalent. It was still good, just not what I expected. My wife said her Chickem Parm was good, but in a tone that let me know she likes the one at Joe's better. Not everything was lost last night though - their fried mushrooms are AWESOME and they give you a really huge order of them. So overall, I give them five stars for awesome pizza, three for decent subs that need some work, and four stars overall. I did notice that, since this is new management, the people taking the phone orders weren't very familiar with the menu, and noticed on their website today that the menu is no longer up. This could be the reason what I received wasn't what I expected based on my order, and they may be working on a new menu.

The subs are pretty good and they're close by so you can't beat that.

Any review that is earlier then 2014 it's not the same owner, so take it with a grain of salt. Different owner, different food same location and name. Food is great, it is what it is - a pizza shop. Oddly enough I don't think that I've ever gotten a Pizza there. There chicken wings, and subs are really good. I liked it a lot and would recommend it to someone that is hungry and wants good hot food.

Update 2/2015: the delivery area has changed. Was told we ( intersection of Dumfries & Hastings) were now outside range and could only deliver to us on slow nights.

This place is disgusting. My office gets together every single day of the week and places orders to local restaurants. When we find a place that we like, we are likely to order every single day collectively or individually. This was our first time, and literally EVERYBODY in the office had a complaint. The chicken was so overcooked you couldn't even bite into it, the fries were raw, and the burgers were dry and tasteless. AND they left items that we had ordered at the restaurant. When we called to complain, we were told "I'm in business to make money," and slammed down the phone, although we just spent $70.00 with them! They refused to replace any of our foods and only agreed to bring what they forgot. They just missed out on at least $500 weekly from us, as we order out EVERY SINGLE DAY.

This is the worst pizza I ever had. The crust was doughy and there was way too much cheese. It was as if it didn't cook enough. The taste of the sauce is also not that good. Honestly frozen pizza from the grocery store is way better.

Recently order take out pizza, the Hawaiian, 20 wings and a greek salad. They delivers in 20 minutes. Great everything!

Easily some of the best subs you could possibly find in Manassas, and fantastic pizza (although the deep dish is really filling!). A great family business, with unparallelled customer service and competitive prices, especially for the quality of food they offer. Highly recommended!

Great food for many years. Friendly family service and fair prices. I Highly reccomend the gyros

Do you remember the deep dish pizza a certain chain restaurant USED to make? I'll give you a hint: P.H. are the initials. The bottom was crusty, crispy and slightly greasy and the rest of the crust was soft and chewy? Well, I have finallly found that crust! While I loved the deep dish pizza, this place has awesome food, period! We came here for lunch: My friend got a flyer in the mail, so we went to try it out. My friend got the bratwurst, which was huge! At least 8", and in this instance, yes, size does matter. ;o) It also was not all bun, which I despise. The bun was toasted and there was just the right amount of sauerkraut and mustard on the brat. I had the 1/2 lb. burger, which turned out to be two of their quarter pounders, stacked on top of each other, which was weird to me - nonetheless it all tastes the same anyway. The only complaint I could possibly come up with is, they only have american and mozzeralla cheese for their burgers. No cheddar, (no swiss, either) - which I prefer over american cheese anyday. It didn't stop me from enjoying the burger, though. The burger was juicy and flavorful - not dry and chewy with no taste, like you get at some places when you get a well-done burger. I normally am not a fan of french fries (I know.. what's wrong with me?), but THESE were fantastic! They seem to be battered fries. They are crispy on the outside and POTATO on the inside. They offer "seasoned" fries, but these are not it. I asked. I have yet to try the seasoned fries. I seiously see no need for them, if the "regular" fries are this good! I noticed that their happy hour had some pretty darn cheap beer prices (even the bottled beers are priced lower than any other place I've been to! And they have MANY different brands of bottled beer.) So, I returned the SAME DAY for happy hour. That's when I ordered the deep dish pizza. There are 3 types of pizza: The deep dish, the thin crust and the brick oven baked one. We got the deep dish and the brick oven - both all meat and cheese. The deep dish was the BOMB, in my opinion. Thick cheese and toppings - not ALL CRUST/BREAD, the right amount of sauce (which wasn't sickening sweet, which I find gross) and it had oregano or some other seasoning sprinkled on top that gave it that extra Umph! The brick oven pizza was great, but I just fell in love with the deep dish, because of the crust and that seasoning on top of the pizza. It stands out from the rest of the crowd, if you know what I mean. I honestly think the crust wouldn't be as fantastic if you ordered it for delivery, though. Only because once that pizza hits the cardboard box and the box is closed, the heat from the pizza will basically "steaam" the crust, thus making it slightly soggy. But, that's just my best GUESS. I really haven't tried having it delivered. And of course, we had beer.. At $2.00/each, you would be crazy not to! Try this place! And hurry, before others find out about it and we won't have the place to ourselves anymore! :o)

This place gave me heart burn and I never have issues with that. I was looking at the people behind the counter and they didn't look too concerned with how sloppy they were being with handling food. The guy looked like something was wrong with him. Ad himself was very friendly but the food wasn't too good

Adam's is great. I only went there after a recommendation from a few coworkers. I probably wouldn't have tried it if they had not recommended it. It kind of looks like just a hole in the wall. Also, the place always looks kind of dead. I think they mostly get delivery and carry-outs orders. The decor of the place is rather bland but the pizza is great. The only other good pizza place in the area is Tony's. I personally like Adam's better than Tony's. The crust is thick but it has some crunch to it which I totally appreciate. So if you're a Tony's regular and you go there and it's totally packed out and you don't feel like waiting, give Adam's a shot. P.S. I personally never tried their subs but they look good. I had someone order one in my group and it looked good. Their menu is at: adamspizzaandsubs.com

I know I'm not in total agreement with the other reviewers and while nothing was horrible, It's not a place I'd intentionally order from again. The cheese steak was not that good. Too much fried onion, not enough steak(which actually wasn't good) and extremely greasy. I'm a girl who LOVES Cheese steaks and this was one of the worst I've ever had. Neither I nor my husband, could finish it. The pizza was okay. I do like a thinner, less processed dough that produces large bubbles in the crust and this one had a uniform shape and quality all the way around that seems processed rather than homemade. (Think pan pizza from Pizza Hut, but with a better tasting sauce.) That isn't necessarily a complaint, but rather not the kind of crust I'm interested in. The people working were nice and the place was clean. Perhaps we caught Adam's on a low day, but still my search continues for a place that serves great pizza AND cheese steaks.

I left a review for Adam's many years back. I moved away from the area, but recently had a chance to visit. Unfortunately the old owner "Adam" recently sold the business to some new guys in town. I was a little shocked since my friend Adam was not there anymore, but I figured I would stick around and try Adam's 2.0. First off, they have spruced up the place and second they have upgraded the menu. They had some good music and they serve a few beers from the tap. I ordered a cheese burger and onion rings along with a draft Blue Moon. Everything was pretty good. I met the new manager and told him that I thought "Adam's 2.0" was pretty good and would stick around. You should try the place out. This is a long time family business in Manassas. Even some of the Adam's 1.0 employees still work here. Go try Adam's 2.0 out for lunch or dinner. They also mentioned that they will be making some more updates to the menu shortly.

I ate here a couple of weeks ago, the food was delicious. I had the deep dish Greek pizza. The crust had a great crunch on the exterior and soft on the inside. It was cooked to perfection. On top of that I had brimstone wings and another flavor that I can't remember unfortuantly. The brimstone wings were very spicy and had excellent flavor. What really shined was the service. Robert D. took his time to explain all of the wing flavors as well as shared some insider knowledge about a sauce they were working with that hasn't made it to the menu yet. I really am hoping to try that raspberry bbq sauce. It sounds outstanding. But to sum it up, both the service and the food were excellent by all accounts. Thank you for a great experience Rob D.

Earlier this week I order a personal pizza from Adam's. The service was good and extremely friendly. The pizza itself was only ok, not good or bad. It was oozing with cheese but overall there wasn't much flavor to the cheese. The sauce was also pretty plain. The size was generous for the price. Due to the good good service and it's location to where I live I'll be stopping back again.

My wife and I go Adam's all the time, almost weekly. They have lots of great subs, and excellent turnovers. My favorite though has to be the Greek pizza; I highly recommend it. The owner is also very nice. If you go there more than a few times, he'll most likely learn your name and what you like to order.

We had no idea that this place existed. Apparently it's been in business, less than two miles from our house, for twenty-odd years. We had no idea, until we got a flyer in the mail -- it was black, white, and tasteful, unlike the garish red-green-and-white flyers that we routinely toss in the recycle bin. Intrigued, we headed over. The ambiance is rather typical tables-and-booths-with-some-random-vintagy-items on the walls, but scrupulously clean, with menus on the tables as well as printed on the wall -- and unlike some pizza-and-sub joints, it's table-service, not counter-service. We warned the gentlemen working of our admiration for their flyer, and dared them to live up to it. They did. The pizza was hot, fresh, plentiful, and GOOD. They have individual pan pizzas as a standard menu item, which is splendid when you're the only one who understands that pineapple belongs on pizza. The beer selection was surprisingly good (my husband instantly discovered his favorite Vienna Lager). The wine selection was a total surprise. Not a cheap chianti in sight, but they do have a VERY nice South African Sauvignon Blanc. The service was excellent, cheerful, and enthusiastic. My six-year-old's request for multiple types of drinks was met with unruffled calm. This was our first visit, but based on this, we'll definitely be back -- and we'll bring friends...

***This review was from BadWolf Brewery*** I ordered a pizza from BadWolf, which is two doors down from Adam's. BadWolf has menus from Adam's and claims Adam's delivers (or is supposed to). Sadly I ordered and nothing was delivered. After I got hungry enough I walked back and my food was set aside but had not been delivered since the delivery guy forgot about me. The pizza was good but not happy about the service.

[7/27/2015 2:03 PM] James, Janesia: My co-workers and I were tired of eating the same food ov... My co-workers and I were tired of eating the same food over and over during our lunch break so we decided to try something new. We ran across Adam's through Yelp, of course, and were almost disappointed because we were out of delivery range. Luckily the manager allowed us to order for delivery if we had an order of $50+. Seeing as we work in an office it was easy to find folks who were looking for a new place to eat lunch. We searched the menu and the prices were fairly priced for the burgers specials we ordered. The burgers were well cooked but could use more seasoning. Since they were Build-A-Burger we could pretty much make any burger we could think of. Some of the orders also added cheesecake which i'm told were worth the $4.99. I personally enjoyed the fries delicious and still had a crunch by the time they got here. They delivery driver was incredibly friendly so we definitely will be ordering from here again. -Intercall P.S Will be waiting on the lunch speacials you all come up with!!

Ordered a meatball sub and you could barely even see the meatballs. The meatballs were definately out of the bag and not itialian homemade. I expect a meatball sub to have huge meatballs and to be made in the restaurant. Would never order this sub again. Gross!!!!
