This place was recommended to me by a few people, so my husband and I decided to give it a try. My only disappointment was we didn't try it sooner! The food and service were excellent. The food came out quickly and was very presentable . I had my server help me pick my meal and I went with the pork, chicken and beef over crunchy noodles. I can't stop thinking about how tastey it was. Can't wait to go back!

Stingy pho and mediocre Boba Tea. Pho had one meat ball. One piece of tripe. Lots of beef flank though. They make you pay extra for meat when it should already have a basic amount in the base order of Pho. But I may just be used to Pho closer to the city. The further out you travel the restaurants get by with serving smaller portions. Not cool! I am so angry I will have to protest by eating my pho with my fork and hurry up to leave. Why count the meat to that degree. It detracts from the overall quality in the end. The pho would have been 4 stars as the broth is very good. I have definitely had worse (ie Martinsburg Pho!). But when you gotta have it this is super decent. My tip: you definitely have to order extra meat if you order pho here at Xuan. The customer service is very good. My waitress was as sweet as pie! I have to give this place 3.5 but half stars are not allowed, so round up to four

MY STORY Ever since my mom and I found this place, we've been loyal customers ever since! We first came about a year or two ago looking for authentic Vietnamese food (besides the Pho places nearby) and stumbled upon their slightly hidden restaurant. The atmosphere was warm with lots of wood bead decorations, adding a bit of a tropical feel to the restaurant. We ordered Pho Tai the first time we came here, and came back with family a month later to try their other dishes! Ever since then, we'd order their $5 Five-Spice Chicken (which they've stopped selling half a year ago) and $3.85 Sandwiches to go whenever we're in Leesburg. Their sandwiches blow sub shops out of the water with their price, freshness and quality, and always contain fresh tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, cilantro, and daikon radish with whichever meat you choose! PROS -Authentic Vietnamese food taste -Good prices -Can get food to go -Staff can speak both Vietnamese and English well (little/no communication problems) -Better Vietnamese cuisine selection compared to Pho places -Warm atmosphere (perfect for a date!) -Has booths, tables, and a barstool area -clean environment -Has a fish tank with adorable goldfish -You can watch your sub being made at the barstool area CONS -Can be slightly chilly in the fall/winter months despite the warm atmosphere (bring a jacket/hoodie and you'll be fine)

This is my first time here..... I'm a serious Pho fan..... Always looking for new locations everywhere I go! This place had a very friendly wait-staff! The Steak & brisket Pho was good perhaps not the best I have ever had! Something seemed to be missing not sure exactly what. I also ordered a Vietnamese cold coffee which was so strong that in "my humble but accurate opinion" felt like I was drinking 17 cups of coffees in one.... Potent stuff for sure... Not sure if I will order that again!! I'm willing to try this place again!

Great authentic food. I had the pho and it was delicious. The broth was hot and tasted full of beef flavor. It's not heavy on the seasoning. The calamari is fantastic too. It was a bit tough on the inside but the batter was awesome.
(5)Marko K.
I really love Vietnam cuisine and this restaurant deliveries. The taste is there and it is very good. The pho is really delicious. The personnel are welcoming and the interior is tidy and bright.

I came here for lunch on Colombus day, and it wasn't busy. There were maybe 3-4 other parties in the restaurant eating. The restaurant decor reminds me of a Chinese food place. I noticed on the table the lunch special, which was $7.50 for your choice of 1 spring roll or egg roll, (or a veggie version of these rolls) + fried tofu appetizer or a salad + a bowl of soup or some kind of rice dish. I asked for the #1 (Dac Biet "everything" pho) for my soup of choice with the lunch combo, in which out server said it was okay. When another girl brought out my pho, she stated "I don't know the other person told you, but we only have flank steak for the lunch special soup". It would have been a lot better service and much appreciated if they had told me beforehand (when I put my order in for the #1 soup) that there was only one type of pho that came with the lunch deal... If I were a complicated customer I could see someone getting mad about the lack of clarity. Either way, I'm not rude or picky so it was whatever. The fried tofu appetizer came with three small-medium pieces, with a sweet and sour like dipping sauce on the side. Tofu was plain, but the sauce made it better. Decent appetizer. The spring roll was sadly stuffed with more lettuce and noodles than shrimp and meat. The bowl of pho was a "smaller" portion, which they warned me ahead of time. Which was fine actually. The size was probably only a tad bit smaller than the size of a regular/small at other pho places... That's a thumbs up. Overall, the service is lacking and could definitely improve. The lunch special at $7.50 is worth checking out, but if you're in the area. I'll stick to my slightly more expensive pho spots in Sterling.
(3)Mary A.
Even with new owners, still the best pho and Vietnamese food around. The servers are very nice. The only complaint is they put a divider down the middle of the room, and it's a very odd configuration.
(4)Dawn R.
I searched Yelp for a great lunch place and it's been a while since I had Pho, so I decided to try this place because of their great reviews. I was seated immediately and had my drink on the table in less than 60 seconds. When she brought my water, I ordered my appetizer. I started with the fresh garden rolls ($3.75 for 2) which was a large portion! Again, food out to me in about 1-2 minutes. When she brought that out, I was ready to order my lunch. I went with Pho #8 Ga ($7.95 regular bowl). When it came out...holy bowl of Pho it was huge! I can't imagine how big the large bowl is. The food was VERY good, though not the best Pho I've ever had. Pho Saigon in Fredericksburg still has my heart! But I enjoyed some of the best service I've received in a LONG time - and that was very much appreciated!

I was surprised that the reviews were so good. Here is my experience; We ordered carry out so I placed the order on the phone. The woman who took my order was nice but did not accept my request to order bo vien (Vietnamese meatball) soup and to add tripe. She argued with me that this was not on the menu therefore impossible. I let her know I would be more than willing to pay extra just to have the tripe added to the soup. She finally accepted but made a fuss about it. We ordered; Spring rolls Summer rolls Combination Pho Bo Vien Pho with tripe added Vegetarian Pho When I arrived to pick up the order, I noticed the receipt stated that I had actually ordered the round steak soup and NOT the meatball. Even though she confirmed the order on the phone with me, she rang me up incorrectly. I checked with her just to ensure that it wasn't an actual error with the order but just a typo. She was then irritated and was difficult with me because SHE messed up the order. I caught her in time before the order was even ready therefore, I didn't see the issue as she did confirm the order on the phone correctly. Regardless, I moved on and let it go. We got home to find out that she gave me the round steak soup after all, and just added 1.... yes you read me right... 1 meatball. And very little tripe. The soup is decent, has flavor but is lacking the traditional anise flavor that I love. They barely gave us any herbs and bean sprouts. They were stingy with the meat. The vegetarian soup was just pure salt broth. It had no flavor and was not edible. This soup was thrown out and really a waste. The spring rolls were good. Standard. Summer rolls were okay. The shrimp wasn't that fresh and very clean. The peanut sauce was really just bland peanut sauce from the bottle/jar. Prices are good. They charged us for large bowls when we did carry out, but I'm almost positive it was not equivalent to a large bowl. It was fairly tiny. Additionally, there is a .50 carry out fee. I'm sure that this place is much better to dine at rather than carry out, but the pho wasn't that great to me. VA has tons of great pho places, and this is not one!
(3)Afsana C.
Wasn't too pleased with the food quality nor cleanliness. Had to give them at least one star though just because the staff is so nice. Don't think I'll be going back unfortunately. Tip: Stick to pho and don't try the pancakes.
(1)Jimmy W.
Awesome!!! I don't go as much now, but still is the best Vietnamese food in the surrounding area. I totally recommended and I give it
(5)Scott B.
Trying this place for the first time based on yelp, looking for something good in the neighborhood. They have a really nice lunch combo, you got a bowl of soup or a plate of cooked food, you get to choose from salad and fried tofu, and you get to choose a fresh or crispy roll. I went with the pho beef soup, chicken salad, and pork crispy spring roll. Unfortunately, I was fooled by the smaller portion of soup, and put too much sriracha sauce in it, so I can't give the best evaluation of the subtle flavors of the soup, I will have to do that better next time. The crispy roll was quite good--not the best--but quite credible with a good dipping sauce. The salad was okay, I feel that the flavors could have been more intense. Still, l enjoyed it., and it was neat served on crispy crackers of some sort. Overall, the soup was really quite good, some of the best taste and texture soft and chewy beef that I've ever had in a bowl of pho. Lovely place, lovely people, beautiful food presentation, I will definitely be back for more. Happily finishing off this very nice lunch, I tried their boba tea smoothies, half of which are made with fresh fruit. I went with mango, and it was very good, so much better than the ones made with flavor powder. They also have fresh banh mi sandwiches I've got to try next time too...
(4)Chris G.
This has become a regular for me. The Pho is very good. It has a great balanced flavor. Spring Rolls and Vermicelli dishes are good too. I have yet to try some of the other dishes since I almost always go here when I'm craving Pho. The service is good, though they seem to rotate waitresses more often than most places. Hard to really get to know the staff. The lay out is simple, not fancy. Very relaxed atmosphere. They make an excellent Mango Stick Rice. My waist says No! but my soul says YES! it is a great treat.
(4)Dan V.
Excellent meal! Very fresh and extremely fast! Was unsure about this place as it was empty when we walked by it, but lucky we took the chance and ventured in. My wife and I had the vegetarian stir fry and the shaking beef. Both were cooked well, not over salted and very tasty. Service was ok but could be improved a little. However looking forward to our next visit!
(4)Cindy S.
A delicious family owned restaurant serving authentic high quality Vietnamese cuisine. I tried the Lemongrass Beef over rice for my entree and spring rolls for appetizer.... Delicious! I will definitely be coming back for the sandwiches which are only available Mon-Thurs.
(5)Peter P.
I got a to-go dinner there. Dispute the outside view, dinner area was really decorated and clean! Prices are cheap and food quality is awesome! Definitely would go there again!! I got some noodle soup, with sweet and sour chicken, which was pretty good!
(4)Belal E.
Knowledgeable server. Calamari was very good. Pho was good. I liked the fact that they didn't serve a huge pot of pho. Just the perfect amount!
(4)Cooper K.
I have roast quail which is really good. Fresh garden roll is too plain, for me. Pho is pretty decent
(3)Scarlet S.
Great food, great customer service. The sandwiches are amazing and are great for those with a budget.... under $4.00. I come in almost every week, everything tastes so fresh.
(5)Xuan-Lise C.
Stopped by before going to the outlet mall, my boyfriend and I ordered the pho starter, the cold cut banh mi, a coconut boba tea, and mixed noodle dish, pork, beef and spring rolls. Everything was great and delicious, except the banh mi, it was not traditional, it had some of the regular meats, but no head cheese, pate, and the bread was soft and chewy not slightly crispy. I was slightly disappointed with the sandwich, it even had a tomato in it. I suppose the cooked meats must be better. However the coconut boba was awesome, definitely tasted more like coconut juice, not cream, the boba was hot and chewy. The noodle dish, so good! The pork was so tender, the spring rolls very tasty, and the fish sauce was perfect. The small pho portion was very good. If we're in the mood for Vietnamese while in the area I'll definitely stop by for soup or any of their other dishes, just skip the banh mi if you're looking for the original.
(4)Mahmoud A.
I came here expecting good pho, and was pleasantly surprised. It was great, and their calamari was also awesome. I'd definitely recommend this place for good Vietnamese food in the area.
(4)Jarrod H.
Loved the food and the price at this place! My wife and I ordered hot tea, the sampler, pho, and bahn mi sandwich, it was all very delicious! Will definitely be coming back here!
(5)S M.
Came here because of the reviews. Very let down. Pho was mediocre. You could not taste the flavors of the star anise or lemon grass. Gave us 3 slices.of jalapeños for 2 ppls. Very few bean sprouts either. The peanut sauce was just peanut butter. The meat they used was low quality, chewy and they didn't even put the items on the list for pho#1 in the bowl that was on the menu. I would not eat there, and I will not eat there again.
(2)Teresa L.
After a few hours of shopping at the Leesburg outlets, my group was craving pho lol We ended up here after reading reviews on Yelp and decided to try it out. We loved the pho broth here! In my experience, a lot of pho places have very bland broths but Xuan Saigon's broth is excellent. We ordered spring rolls and egg rolls, both of which we enjoyed as well. The service was a bit slow but that may have been because we came near closing time. Definitely a must try if you're in the area and we will be back after some shopping at the outlets next time!
(4)Sharky L.
This place has some of the best Pho I have ever had. I don't know what they to do the broth, but it's amazing.
(4)SuperNoVa M.
My go-to place for fast food in Leesburg for lunch. I do a meal of appetizers: spring rolls, crispy rolls and appetizer pho. The family who owns and runs this place ate the nicest people!
(4)Jessie H.
Good food. Good price. Beef fried rice had an abundance of beef strips. Orange chicken was delicious.
(5)Koichi E.
A little Vietnamese gem in Leesburg. Banh Mi for $3.75, WHAT? They even has breakfast sandwiches, awesome. A large pho is only $7.35 and they have one of the best broths around. Having grown up on ramen, I have always felt that pho broth is a bit too light for my taste. However, this place has a more robust broth and it supports the rice noodles very well. I have had most of the vegetarian dishes here and they can make most everything with tofu so kudos for that. Their eggplant dish is very tasty and a whole plate of the skinny sauteed Japanese eggplant is dynamite. The Lemongrass Tofu is also very tasty. A family run restaurant, I see the same folks in there week to week. Very accommodating too. I had forgot my wallet one day and they let me come back to pay them back. I guess that's the advantage of being a regular! They have a very wide selection of smoothies and I'll look forward to working through their menu in the future.
(4)Katie M.
There are so many good options for Asian food in Loudoun that this place just didn't rank all that high for me. The mango bubble tea was good. Also ordered the steak & noodles along with the orange chicken. They were both good. Service was a bit slow considering there were only 4 tables with guests and 2 servers. My drink sat empty for 90% of my meal. And they put a lemon in my ice water (not on the side of my glass) without me requesting which is a big no no in my book (I've read way too much about bacteria in lemons served in restaurants). Just average for me!
(3)Joseph M.
I only had their pho and spring rolls and it was OK. Don't get me wrong, the price and atmosphere is good but the meat and potatoes should be the food. I found the pho broth to be bland and tasteless. It was piping hot which is good. The portions are decent but again the taste for me is a big problem. The spring rolls is smaller than I expected and filled with just the rice noodles and shrimp. I think there was a few pieces of basil. We just move to Leesburg. Hoping to find a good pho place.
(2)Kt B.
went here expecting Bahn mi sandwiches but its only served Monday to Thursday. Would be nice if they listed this on their online menu but they don't. Fried tofu was good. Tom Ka soup was just ok.
(2)Shaun M.
Terrific food, good prices and outstanding service. Our new go-to Pho place.
(4)James M.
Came here for lunch. Very disappointed by the saltiness of the beef pho. The dish lacked any savory elements. The lunch special is a good value with choices of fried tofu and fresh spring rolls. I would try this place again but will go elsewhere to get my pho on. Still baffled by a Viet Resto that can't get such a classic dish right. I had hoped to try the banh me. It was not available. The waiter claimed they were out of rolls. My impression is that this spot is very hit or miss depending the day or time you visit.
(3)Sakita D.
I'm definitely going through a bubble tea craze and when I found out this place had it, I was too excited. I got the mango bubble tea. I watched the whole process; the lady rinsed the mango, peeled it, then sliced it. Fresh fruit! She also shaved some ice and blended that with the mango and some coconut syrup and added a little sugar. The whole process took a good 10 mins but was well worth the wait. The tapioca pearls were chewy and fresh because they were still warm. For 20oz I only paid $4.34. Not a bad price. The drink tasted pretty delish even though I'm not a fan of coconut.

I recently returned from a 3-week stint in Vietnam. I've always been a big fan of Xuan Saigon, but having eaten nearly every variation of Vietnamese food during that trip, I am more impressed than ever with the authenticity of their kitchen here. The noodle dishes, salads, Banh Mi sandwiches, and pho are all as close as you are going to get to the originals in Ho Chi Minh City. One of the best places in NoVa, and I am including all the places in Eden Center, too. It's very much like many of the family run restaurants in Vietnam, and I give a bonus star, making it 5, for creating a high fidelity replica of a Saigon restaurant in Leesburg.

We'd been traveling to/between/around Purcellville, Leesburg, and Fairfax for most of the weekend, only stopping for like 4 hours to have some stupid wedding that we we were sick and tired of already. We were also tired of fancy shmancy restaurants, dresses, wine glasses, and luxury cabins. All we wanted was some grub on the way back to civilization. Armed with a Yelp app, and using it like some twisted radar gun while my new husband inched the car along Rt 7, I changed my mind 5 times and demanded 2-3 u-turns before I decided we could conclude our weekend at this place. Good intuition, for once in my life. Food flavors are balanced and the pho is priced competitively (bowls are smaller than other noodle houses' servings, but price shrinks accordingly). Sauces are presented tastefully on the side and add another spectrum of flavor to the dishes, but the marinade/seasoning on the meat gives you a great flavor trip with or without sauce. The broth is what pho should really taste like. It might even beat the other places in Seven Corners. I wish I'd had room for dessert. I did enjoy a Thai iced tea, the grilled lemongrass and the five-spice items. Will return next time I accidentally get married in Leesburg.
(4)Food Blogger B.
This is the closest food I have found outside of Vietnam. I like going for breakfast. To start, the coffee is fresh and typical, followed by a few summer rolls just wrapped. They offer smaller bowls of Pho which our family loves so we can have other items like the delicious banh mi sandwiches, I like adding a fried egg to the banh mi. Whatever your may like I'm sure they will have it. The staff is always nice and quick. Overall, I'm not in Vietnam, but it has so much that I can enjoy the foods of Vietnam.
(5)Brian G.
My wife and I were visiting wineries and were staying at a hotel near the restaurant. I have come to realize that a restaurant in a strip mall is not a bad thing. We both enjoyed our dinner (vermicelli with chicken and veggies). The food was cooked perfectly except the chicken was a little fatty. We also started with the garden rolls. The were ok. As much as I enjoy a mint for fresh breath, I did not enjoy the abundance of mint in the roll. Pork + Shrimp + Mint = OK.
(3)Jey J.
I am upset that I do not live closer to this restaurant. I am a huge pho and bubble tea fan but they make it even better by serving Banh Mi. The food is absolutely delicious and the customer service is up to par.
(5)Tan T.
Love the lunch special! Well worth the $5. Pho was pretty good, not the best but up there. Service was good, friendly and prompt.
(5)Harry S.
Not a bad place for lunch but the food was mixed. Majorly disappointed in the beef pho, which was mild to the point of being bland. This was redeemed by the delicious grilled pork, which had thing slices of tender charred meat over sweet jasmine rice. I would definitely go back.
(4)Holly M.
Love the Pho... Luckily my kids do too! Great little hole in the wall.
(5)Kelly M.
The vermicelli is delicious! Great option for take out!
(5)Sarah P.
One of the hallmarks of when a type of food has become vogue is when the little, hole-in-the-wall, family-run places start getting replaced with new, slick, stylish restaurants peddling that particular type of food. I've seen it happen over and over, Thai food in the '80s, Mexican in the '90s, Middle Eastern, and more recently with Vietnamese. Some people will only go to a restaurant when it's slick and new. Me? I look for the grubby hole-in-the-wall versions if I can still find them, they are the best by far. Xuan is not grubby, but it is family-run and has some great food, you just have to find what you like. Gianny hit the nail on the head with the service, they are not super-trained professionals, but they are nice and try to please. We have lived here for almost 5 years and found Xuan Saigon the first week. Personally, I really enjoy their food and not just their Pho, though their Pho Ga has the best tasting broth in the area I think. Having spoken to Xuan (a very funny and friendly lady) and her son a number of times, we got a bit of their story. Both are trained chefs, she in the French style from when Vietnam was a colony, which explains why some of the specials don't seem very "Vietnamese". The Saigon Pancakes are delicious as are the grilled lemongrass bowls. If you are a veggie, they have a fair number of tofu options for you including spring rolls and even pho. They have REAL Asian green tea ice cream, so good! Tips: Try something from the specials board, you'll probably really like it. -Get the chocolate orange mousse for dessert if it's offered, it's amazing. -This place is an awesome surprise for Valentine's Day! Xuan has done a special pre fixe meal in the past that's great (ribeye + lobster, hello) and well-priced.
(4)Gianny C.
The food can be a bit hit or miss if you roam the menu..but after you find the gems (thier pho is incredibly flavorful and aromatic AND thier coconut ice-cream topped with toasted coconut is something I crave all day erry'day-I have not found anything close to them anywhere else. Really, have the pho!) it is completely forgivable. The prices are fair, especially for the deliciousness of the food. The Staff is so nice, not versed in classic waiting, so it may put some off, but they are really friendly. :) Overall I love that it is tucked away and lovely. It is a nice place to spend a quiet lunch after a long day at work.
(4)Christopher P.
Surprisingly tasty pho tai and veggie spring roll. The broth was delicious - did it have some lemongrass and ginger in it? The service was attentive and nice. The spring roll came with a yummy peanut sauce, warmed up.
(5)Helen M.
When we walked in it smelled like sewage. My friend convinced us to stay, this used to be a favorite of ours. The food was bland and included some "mystery meat" substance. As we were about to leave we saw a cockroach climbing up the wall. I'll never eat here again.
(1)Valerie B.
After many visit at Xuan Saigon, everyone in our group decided to try something new. Everything was delicious!
(4)Helik S.
Revisited the restaurant - everything still holds true as it were in the previous visits. The lemongrass tofu is served over vermicelli not rice as I initially stated.
(5)Neal E.
The search for Pho in the western suburbs continues - this has to be the westernmost Pho place in Northern Virginia. Had dinner here this evening. Was not sure what to expect given that several people have given this place extremely poor reviews - my experience was exactly the opposite. I ordered the Garden Rolls, a small bowl of Pho Ga, and a glass of water. The rolls came out first - tasty - but I will ding them on two things - the rolls had iceberg lettuce in them - and little in the way of greens. The peanut sauce was also to watery/thin. The Pho came out quickly - less than 5 minutes after ordering it - two things I will ding them on - the level of the broth in the bowl should have been higher - and the sliced peppers on the plate looked a little less than optimal. I added everything and tasted the broth - which was steaming - as it should be. The broth flavor was excellent! I dug in! I think I inhaled that bowl of Pho Ga faster than any other I've had. I was wishing I had ordered a large bowl. When I went to pay, the little Vietnamese lady asked me if I was going to have dessert - I advised no - she seemed disappointed! :-) I will come back here again!
(4)JW B.
Pretty darn decent pho at this restaurant. I went there for my first time based on all the great reviews. In my eyes, the pho was average to somewhat above average (3 1/2 star), but then I've eaten pho all over the state. Their iced coffee and coconut ice cream was nice. The service was a little lacking (once you were served they did very little checking up with you). I'll probably will go back and/or try others in town on my next visit.
(3)Michael B.
Best Pho from Winchester to Dc!!! LOVE love love the Ginger Lime Tofu! I could eat it every day for the rest of my life :) Best soup broth outta any Pho in the Dc metro area! Decent pricing for the food! For first time Pho visitors I recommend bringing a Pho veteran in to help you have the full potential experience!
(5)Nima S.
I went to this restaurant for Pho because I saw it had gotten good ratings on Yelp...but I was so disappointed in the taste of the pho. First of all, it didn't look like pho, and so I thought it'll taste good. Needless to say, this place shouldn't advertise for pho. I paid for the uneaten pho and went to Viet Chopsticks in Lansdowne.
(1)Shawn S.
I was back again yesterday, this time for takeout, and had the lime tofu appetizer and the Pho #11. The service was very fast (10 minutes), and everything was fantastic. This is definitely some of the best pho I've had anywhere. The same young woman was behind the counter, and she remembered me from my first visit. The staff is friendly, prompt, and courteous. The takeout was well-packaged (this is a big deal to me--I hate getting food all over my car when it's not packaged well), and still hot when I got it home. I can't wait to take friends!
(5)Edik Z.
Disapointing. Ordered two special soups Seafood with rice noodles and Shrimp Lemongrass. The first was Ok but nothing to write home about. Definetly no worth the "special" title or doble the price of regular bowl of Pho. The lemongrass soup was anything but. I mean it tasted more like highly dilluted soap, then the lemongrass soup. If you choose to come to this place - stick to the basics.
(2)Marisa L.
I hate to do this because this was our favorite restaurant in Leesburg. Not anymore. Our last two visits went horribly wrong. Apparently they have a new cook who cannot make a Vietnamese crepe. After more than a thirty minute wait, the server comes out and tells me that the cook has tried to make the crepe four times and each time the crepe sticks to the pan and is ruined. After the first fail, I should have been informed so I could order another dish. Then this past Mother's Day we called a day ahead to make a reservation for our large group (and our table wasn't even ready when we arrived; we had to push two smaller sets together ourselves). I wish they had made arrangements for more cooks to be working that day because the entrees were all brought out at different times AFTER WAITING OVER 45 MINUTES! Worst of all, three of the entrees never came out so we had to reorder them and wait another fifteen minutes. By that time, we had been at the restaurant almost two hours! A table near us seemed to have a minor dispute as well. They left with most of their food on their plates. The food isn't as well prepared or seasoned as it used to be, the temperature of the dishes is off (obviously after sitting out waiting to be served). They need to hire more servers. And the past two times, we have heard yelling coming from the kitchen. Please, Xuan Saigon, get your act back together. We had always dismissed the lackluster service because the food was incredible, but now both are not so great.
(2)Lea S.
I've actually been to this restaurant many times due to it's proximity to my house as well as the fact that my family and friends really enjoy this place. You know a Vietnamese restaurant is good if your Vietnamese household are regular frequenters of the place. For a Vietnamese restaurant that offers such an extensive menu of different dishes representative of the Vietnamese cuisine other than pho, they do it really well, and at very reasonable prices at that. The pho is pretty good too, and they even offer the super bowl size if a large isn't enough to quench your craving for pho. All the dishes are prepared with quality ingredients and presented very well.
(4)Cheryl T.
Good banh mi sandwiches. I prefer the chicken - but don't be deterred because it is called BBQ chicken, it doesn't taste like what BBQ means to Americans. It is simply a grilled chicken breast that is seasoned perfectly, to complement the pickled vegetables.

Fried calamari app was awesome. Lightly fried with onions, lime, and spices. Mixed seafood over egg noodles was ok but the pho was terrific. As good as I've had elsewhere. Decent beer and wine selection.

I'm surprised to see such poor reviews of this place. Yes, it's an absolute mess inside. Yes, I noticed a few ants crawling around on the floor. Yes, the service leaves a little to be desired. Only thing is, the bún is pretty fantastic. The portion size was just right and there was actually just as much pork in my bowl as there was noodles. Everything seemed fresh and the meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. They even provided a little plastic cup of fish sauce with the to-go box. I'm interested in trying the pho. It can't be any worse than a lot of bowls being served in Loudoun County. I'd definitely give it another shot if I'm in the area.

Had the Vegetarian Pho (#19, I believe) and a coconut boba smoothie. The server brought back a thai iced tea boba at first, but when I corrected her she immediately fixed it and apologized. The coconut boba was not the best boba smoothie I've ever had, but it was tasty. Boba was a little soft. The main star of my meal was the pho. Seriously, the best pho I've ever had. Full of veggies plus some tofu, excellent flavorful vegetarian broth, fresh sprouts/jalapenos--all of it. I also had a couple friends with me that both got large bowls of the steak pho--one a pho first-timer--and they both loved it. I would totally come here again when I'm visiting, and the broth alone is worth the five stars. The staff was very good, helpful, and attentive. Food was also out super-quickly which really surprised us. If you're trying to decide between this and Anita's, go here. You won't be disappointed!

I came here last Saturday 10/19 with my boyfriend and we had 1. Fried quail 2. Seafood soup 3. Pho 1 with all different meat including tripe and meatballs. The girl working sat us right away, she was smiling and friendly and spoke English well, she recommended the quail app. Saying it wasn't really to fill you up but it was fun to eat. This was true because the bird is itty bitty, and theres not alot of meat on them but this was SO GOOD. And it was on a bed of watercress which my b.f. and I both love. So he ordered seafood soup which came out hot, fragrant and delicious and had more than the customary 1 Shrimp 1 Mussel 1 scallop in it, this had enough seafood, and a good ratio of noodles to broth. My pho was awesome, all the meat tasted great even the soft tendon *yum* , and again they definitely gave me enough meat! I seriously got enough meat in my bowl here to make up what I normally get in 3 bowls anywhere else. Not like I need15 meatballs, but some places are really stingy. The place was clean, the restroom was clean, and our waitress was very nice. All in all a great dinner and we will be back!!

Location is unexpected for such great food. My friends and I go here a lot and really love it. The vegetarian garden rolls and ginger lime tofu are on the top of my list. Could eat them every day. For the main I love love love the vegetarian pho. The broth is so rich and flavorful and the vegetables and tofu are really fresh. Family run business, always friendly. The other dish I like is the lemongrass tofu served over noodles. Vegetarian and vegan friendly here which makes me happy

Okay, these four stars reference the #14 order of pho which I got a few days back. That's the one with shaved beef and tripe. Now, I have been enjoying pho all over the west coast, in every Chinatown and International District that you can imagine, but for some reason, none of the other phos had broth comparable to the beef broth at Xuan Saigon. Don't ask me what it was about that broth... That would be like trying to describe a Virginia Coast sunset's beauty to someone in Texas. Everyone's taste and knowledge base is a little different, after all.

I like Xuan Saigon - don't love it but it is nice having a decent Vietnamese restaurant in Leesburg. My first visit I ordered my usual - summer roll and beef pho. The summer rolls were very warm and chewy instead of chilled and crisp. The sauce served with the rolls also left a lot to be desired. So, I haven't ordered those since! The pho is good. Not the best but it's good. Aromatic, a little sweet, pretty "beefy" tasting. The Ginger Lime Tofu appetizer is quite tasty. Fried cubes of ginger with lime, salt & pepper. Nice & simple. D7 - Pho Xao is also quite good - very similar to Pad Thai but a bit heartier. Service can be slow - especially when they're busy. The owner, Mrs. Nguyen, is very gracious and takes a lot of pride in her cooking. In a nutshell - it's good pho when you really, really need some pho and I would definitely explore the menu more.

We first found Xuan Saigon when my honey bought some Pho for me while I had the flu. I enjoyed it over two days, and I am certain that it shortened my illness. Later, we decided to dine in. We ordered the calamari (fresh and delicious), then had Shaking Beef and Carmalized Pork. Absolutely delicious!!! We also had the opportunity to meet the owner, and she is an absolute doll! This will be "our" place for Vietnamese food!!

Great experience here. I came in 10 minutes before closing and they were more than hospitable, no complaining even when ordering dessert. The pho is pretty good, very fresh food. Again the service is very friendly unlike the other pho place in town.

Great family owned restaurant with very good pho and lemon grass chicken.

My gf and I have been here several times for the pho. Its not bad, but not the greatest either. Prices are reasonable and the woman who runs the restaurant has always taken care of us. One plus is that they have mango and sticky rice as a desert! Thats pretty hard to find, even though of how simple the dish is and with the amount of places to go to in northern VA. This used to be the only pho place in Leesburg until Pho Royal opened up. I'd recommend trying both Xuan Saigon and Pho Royal to really give your own opinion on the pho. I almost prefer here to Pho Royal of Leesburg.

My husband and I have been going to Xuan Saigon since it opened and I have been several times. It isn't in the greatest part of town, but the food is amazing. My favorite dish has to be the fresh rolls on the appetizer menu and the Vietamese pancakes on the entree menu. These are some of the best Vietamese pancakes I have ever had. I have pretty much tried just about everything on the menu and recently they added my all time favorite dessert, mango and sticky coconut rice. Yum! When anyone in our house is sick, Xuan's Pho is the way to go. I normally don't order Pho, but when I am sick I crave it and I swear it helps speed up the healing process. On the downside, sometimes the service is slow which can be frustrating.

This was really good! The spring rolls didn't bowl me over, but they were fine. I had beef pho that was fantastic... the broth was just great. I had the duck for main course, since I love duck and eat it quite often when I find it on a menu; it was really, good. The accompanying sauces really added to the dish. I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area!

I think that the person 2 below me who is complaining should get a clue! This is the best Pho place around and I consider myself a Pho connoisseur! Xuan (the lovely lady who was rudely described as "old woman") is the owner and has always taken great care of me whether I am by myself or with a group of 10 coming in right at close. The red basil fish and carmelized fish are out of this world, aromatic and delicious, this dish is sure to please!! The Pho Ga can be made to order and is better than any straight Pho Kitchen I have ever been to. Everything is fully customizeable since it is made fresh when ordered. You can get Chicken Pho with beef broth with no onions and extra cilantro if you care to. I always get the chicken on the side and no white onions and I am always pleased. The basil and bean sprouts are so fresh I have often wondered if she was growing them in the back. As for the portions, if you aren't satisfied by the garden/ spring rolls ($3) and a large Pho ($7) then you are a fattie! Traditional dishes also top my list of fav's from Xuan Saigon, the crunchy noodles are better than anywhere else I have ever had them. Young Coconut Juice, Hot Jasmine tea and the Thai iced tea are all great beverage chioces. Save room for Dessert!! The Mango and Sticky rice are the best dessert in leesburg!! ask for extra coconut cream and you won't be dissatisfied GUARANTEED!

I don't know why everyone is hatin' on this place. This is my favorite spot to go to after hitting the Outlets. They just recently renovated the decor, and it looks much nicer and more modern than before. I think what people are forgetting is that this place is NOT a Pho house! So I'm not surprised that the service is not as quick as some other pho restaurants, since this restaurant has a pretty extensive menu. The secret to this place is the other traditional Vietnamese dishes they offer. Yes, their pho is decent (their vegetarian pho is pretty nice, actually), but their best dishes are in the rest of the menu. -LOVE their Vietnamese crepe/pancake. Had it the first time there, and I was sold. -LOVE their Lotus Root salad!!!! This was also a new discovery for me there, and it's freaking delicious. -LOVE LOVE LOVE their Look-luck beef!! I had never had this before until I came here, and it's apparently a pretty traditional Vietnamese dish. I don't know how they marinate the beef, but it's a savory sweet/salty taste, and cooked to the right temperature (medium/rare). -their beef salad, ginger-lime tofu, and vegetable salad w/ shrimp&pork are my favorite appetizers as well. And their calamari is not bad either. -their pan-friend tilapia is also pretty yummy if you like fish. If you want really good pho, I would go to a place that serves only pho. But if you want to taste other classic Vietnamese dishes, you won't find them very easily in most of the other Vietnamese restaurants in the DC/VA/MD area. And if you're just craving decent pho, and you're in the area, this place is not bad at all. I do appreciate the variety of their dishes, and my experiences with them have been great thus far. i'm giving them 4 stars.

I remember with this place first opened up. It was always packed, I was glad you were finally able to get Pho in Leesburg. I heard a few disappointing thing from friends who are not Yelpers about their recent visits. I couldn't believe what they were saying. My usual Pho buddy moved out of my neighborhood so I didn't go as often. My wife is allergic to MSG so Pho is out for her, but she does like the stuff. Anyhow, I came to Yelp and read some of the reviews, they were the same my friends were saying. Just to prove them wrong, I had t go check it out. When I arrived, there were two people waiting for takeout, and two tables full. One table had their food and the other had already placed their order. So sit down and the server brings me a menu and takes my drink. I order the #13 beef and fat brisket along with an order of spring rolls. The spring rolls came out in about 5 minutes, they had a nice color to them, they were hot and the wrapper was nice and crispy. Now here is what I don't understand, in a Pho house you usually get your pho fast. I waited over 15 minutes for my bowl to come out. The soup was not steaming hot, it was warm, but not hot. What were they doing for 15 minutes back there. The noodles were cooked just as I like them. The big beef I had was the amount of meat that was in there. This place when first opened use to give you more meat than noodles. I actually counted my slices. Anybody want to guess?? Well I got 7, 5 little tiny pieces and 2 normal slices. Now remember when I said I ordered the fat brisket? Those were the two normal slices. I couldn't believe it, on top of that, the broth really had no flavor, it actually tasted like it was watered down. I was a little saddened by this, I don't really know why they changed like this. My friends all said they got the same experiences, I didn't listen to them. Oh well, no more Pho in Leesburg for me. Still it's a cheap meal. The spring rolls were good and nobody was rude to me, so I won't 1 star, 2 is the max. =(

This place is great! We love going here to eat, it's casual and good for families. The food is very tasty. We usually get the Appetizer Sampler which consists of Spring Rolls, Garden Rolls and Chicken Satay along with Bo Luc Lac and Chicken Pho. All are very good and served quickly. We've also ordered takeout many times from Xuan Saigon and the orders are usually ready within 20 minutes.

Tried this for lunch today, and it wasn't bad. I had the Pho Tai Chin which was on the high side of Okay. Generous portion, but the broth just didn't have enough flavor. I used some sauces to spice it which worked alright. The meat was lower quality than I'm accustomed to, although it's probably more authentic. The interior is pleasant, and the staff is probably the best part - very congenial and really wanted you to enjoy yourself. Not sure if I'll come back, but will probably have some of the Vietnamese dishes other than Pho if I do. They had a few that looked interesting.

By DC standards this is not anything in particular, but coming from the wilds of PA on the way to or from the airport we have stopped here many times for a quick meal of pho. There is adequate service, but often a bit slow despite not being busy.

I've been here many times, and this place is a great spot. The prices are cheap, the food is fresh and authentic Vietnamese...the Pho is one one of my fav spots around. It's a mom & pop type spot in Leesburg. It's not quite a whole in the wall, but it's in a little strip mall next to Anita's, across the street from a CVS. They've recently painted and changed some decorations, nothing special but it's spacious and warm. Some cool asian decor and they just made some new renovations and and got new menus. I really dig the Ginger lime tofu app is a must try if you like deep fried tofu and the Fried Calamari served are my favorite appetizers. I usually get the Pho #9 large (Pho Tai), and it really good...the Vegetarian Pho is great too when i'm in the mood for vegetables and tofu. Some days the soup is better than others, but it's always a satisfying meal. Some of the entrees i like best are the fried Tilapia w/ sweet and sour sauce and the Lucky Beef steak dish. yum! Other stuff: *impressive selection of Asian beers (only $4 or $5), they serve the some Vietnamese *some decent wine *yummy ice cream! weird flavors like Green Tea, Red Bean, Lychee, the coconut ice cream is awesome It's a small family spot, so sometimes the service is not the greatest if it's busy, like on a Friday or Saturday night. The dishes are made to order so sometimes you have to be patient, but it's worth the wait. If you happen to be in Leesburg and you like Asian food, you should def try this place!

Last night we ordered something other than pho from the menu. Everything was great! The food was relative inexpensive and very well prepared. A new favorite restaurant! I ordered the orange shrimp which was $12. The shrimp was fresh and well prepared on top of greens. There was a lot. For the price, I really didn't expect that much shrimp or that quality. Both the amount and the quality were very good. Husband ordered the duck and he really liked it. We had the appetizer sampler as well. The sampler had the chicken satay, spring rolls, and veggie rolls. The rolls were a lot the same (one fresh one fried) so a little one note but I really liked both of the rolls. Okay I also had the pho appetizer as well. I have to have my pho. It was a lot of food so I had shrimp left over. Honestly the shrimp did not carry over well so I would advise that you share it with someone. The orange sauce tasted very, very sweet to me today -- could have been me -- and the veggies were not good today. So share it with someone or just go on your diet tomorrow!! :) A very good meal for not a lot of money. I was a fan, now I'm a huge fan.

Not my favorite pho place but definately good. I will be back next time I'm craving pho at work. Fast and friendly service.

I'm surprised to see negative reviews on here. I know absolutely nothing about Vietnamese food and I think the spring rolls and the chicken pho here are pretty damn good!

I just discovered this place today and immediately went in to try it out. Pho is no longer out of my way. By far the best bowl of Pho I have ever had. I ordered my soup with slices of eye-round steak as well as meatballs. The meatballs, instead of being cut into quarters, were sliced like pepperoni, which made them a lot easier to eat with chopsticks, as well as making the portioning favorable to my palate. The broth had a great consistency. And rather than being on the saltier side, this broth was instead slightly sweet, which wiped away any notions of MSG usage. The owner of the restaurant is a sweet Vietnamese lady (Xuan, after whom the restaurant is named) with a great sense of humor. I couldn't stop complimenting her dish, so she let me in on a little secret: the vegetables inside my soup are home-grown in her garden. Now whether this is true or not, I can't say. However, the owner and her family live in Leesburg, and it's not uncommon at all for Leesburg families to have home gardens with vegetables and other such edible plants. The basil was strong and aromatic, and the spring onions had a great kick, perfectly contrasting the sweet broth. Whether these vegetables are home-grown or not, there definitely is something different, and better, about Xuan Saigon's vegetables. I ordered spring rolls, as well, and so my total came out to about $11. I left a $20 bill at the counter and walked out.

Service is ok, the place is clean, and the Pho isn't too bad

I went for pho, and it was good, but not my favorite. I actually really liked the atmosphere and cleanliness of this place (so i'm not sure what other folks are referring to). The menu seemed extensive. The pho enticed me to visit again in the near future and to try out some other items (with a side bowl of pho - which they offer).
(3)Ken S.
Went back for the Bo Luc Lac (Shaking Beef). It was excellent. Will keep going back.
(4)Melissa A.
When I was sick with the swine flu some months back, my husband picked up some soup for me. It was delicious and included all the necessary fixins. I was better in a few days so I'm sure it was the pho that made me well. :) It's pho. In Leesburg. Not sure what you expect, but I enjoyed my meal and will order again.
(4)Pam B.
I signed up on here just to review this restaurant. I was thrilled when they opened, pho is my absolute favorite food. I have been to some great viet restaurants in the past and some not so good, well THIS IS THE WORST! I have ordered from them 3 times, to go. 2 out of three times, I got home and my order was wrong. I can't eat tripe and so I don't order it. WHY is it in my soup?! TWICE?! On top of that, the portion is incredibly small, not enough veg, not enough meat, and barely any noodles. Sadly, I will have have to start travelling to Ashburn for pho again. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, I was actually surprised they had a couple of decent reviews at all.
(1)Alexandra M.
alright, so my sister (i think every review she's in is also a review for pho?) and i were traveling to the outlets and in dire need for some viet food. i yelped, of course, and this popped up. i believe it had about 3 stars and i figured why not give it a shot, Neal E. reviewed it so it has to be good. lol there were about 4 other tables occupied when we walked in as well as various takeout people who waited at the somewhat bar-area. i really dont think xuan saigon is worth more than 3 stars. we started off with the summer rolls. (2 for $3ish). they were pretty good, enjoyed the peanut sauce that accompanied. i finally tried my first pho (usually i get vermicelli noodles and chicken). i ordered a large pho ga. i enjoyed it very much although i dont think there were enough noodles in it and there was too much cilantro. the chicken was flavorful and didnt taste like rubber. it was a lot, so i ended up packing it up and ate a little bit just over an hour or two ago. i had a bite of my sister's beef and that was very flavorful, so i was impressed in the meat department. where was i not impressed? the service was way too much in the beginning, she came over 3 times to take our order and then way too little in the end. i'm thinking, "we've been sitting for 10 minutes while staring at the terrible decor waiting for our check." i agree with kyo, its decent (i like pho bistro in ashburn be but i wouldnt go out of my way to go here, it just happened to be what we wanted for dinner before we went shopping.
