Overall, the service and quality of the food is amazing. I've had some dishes I absolutely love, some I've outright hated - but then again, I like to experiment when I order, so I'll try new things. They don't always agree with me, but regardless of my personal preference, I've always found Three Thai Sushi's quality to be top notch (even if I wasn't a fan of the meal). Also, if you're the kind of person who finds "mild" a lil' too spicy (like me!) take heed. When they make it spicy, it can be enough to make you cry. Spice lovers will probably adore it, but if you're the adventurous type, it can be risky. Also, their spring rolls are freakin' amazing. I could eat a plate of those alone.

We rolled the dice this evening - after our visit downtown to watch Rollerderby - we were pretty hungry. Watching all of those girls careen around at high speed, slamming each other around caused us to work up quite the appetite. So we decided to try a place neither of us had been to before. I recalled that the place had received excellent reviews on Yelp. And the place did not disappoint! Like previous reviewer Jamie N, I always worry about places that try to do more than one ethnic cuisine as they almost never get it right. Three Thai Sushi hit a home run with both the Japanese and Thai dishes we ordered. The Sashimi was some of the best I've had around the area, and the Spicy Lemongrass Soup was magnificent! Very spicy and flavorful! There was one thing that did disppoint me, however. I asked for my Kee Mao Gai to be made "Thai Spicy." But what I got was not even spicy at all. Still, the food itself was delicious. When our server, the delightful and enchantingly beautiful Pauline asked how our food was - I was honest with her. I told her it was very good, but I was disappointed in that there was no heat. She promised that if I gave them a second chance and came back - she would make sure that it was hot. She then wanted to know how it was that I - as an American - came to like my food so spicy. So we talked a bit about that. I highly recommend this place - and I will be back again!

Absolute best Pad Thai I have ever had. First time visit tonight and staff was very friendly. Highly recommend!

I ordered veg. pad thai and thought there would be vegetables and tofu in it. It was basically noodles with a few carrot slivers and 1 or 2 pieces of broccoli. Found it boring. I usually go to Thai by Thai or Thai Laung, but thought I would try something new. My husband ordered beef special and said it was very spicy, but good.

So the guys I work with out in this area sometimes sarcastically throw me a "OK Mr. Yelp, where we eating lunch at today". There are roughly 20 restaurants in a freaking Kmart mall and I've eaten at almost all of them and GOSH DARN IT everything has been great, and this place is no exception to the rule. We popped in and it was fairly empty, except for a couple with a crying baby. "Whats wrong baby, are they out of spring rolls?" I was pretty happy that they were finished and were packing up. Not being a jerk, but flying quite a bit, babies in confined spaces are not a middle aged guys dream. They have a quick 10 dollar menu with spring roll. I didn't want to venture too far having never been here so medium chicken Pad Thai. Food was quick to arrive, looked good, and was cooked very well. Now that I like this place, I'll give the non-standards a try.

I'm no expert on Thai food, but I consider myself to be an expert on good food. And dang, does this place have good food! Tonight I had the Crab Wontons, which were expertly fried so they were just crisp enough but not greasy. The filling was made with real crab, which was a surprise, and was very tasty- and the dipping sauce was great! No high fructose corn syrup out of a packet here. I think it might have been house made, too. I also had a bowl of Tom Kha soup with veggies, which was delicious- the broth was great and the veggies were cooked without being soggy. There was a tad too much fish sauce for my tastes but I still enjoyed the entire bowl. For my entree I had the Pad Thai with chicken, ordered Mild. I found it to be amazingly tasty, so much so I was kind of sad I had filled up on wontons and soup first. The "mild" came very, very mild and I would have personally called it "not spiced" but whatever. I really like that, for most of the stuff on the Thai menu, you can order it to your degree of hotness and you can order it with your choice of meat or with veggies if you don't eat meat. From what I observed while dining in the restaurant there might have been four people working there total- one making sushi, one cooking, one waitressing and taking orders, and one delivering food/ taking orders/ filling drinks. So if you're thinking of ordering delivery I highly, highly, highly suggest you just have someone swing round and pick it up because this place is not Domino's and they definitely aren't "30 minutes or it's free". I have no idea about the sushi but honestly, if you live in NoVa and you're not going to an honest-to-god Japanese sushi restaurant then you deserve to be pissed that your food was sub-par.

The service here was really good. I got the roll lunch special, which gives you salad, edamame, pickled something something, and two sushi rolls for about $9. I got the spicy crab roll and spicy tuna roll. It was fine for the price, but I was disappointed that the tuna roll used pureed tuna instead of just a slice of tuna. The crab roll was pretty tasty, and it was a good deal. I ordered jasmine tea and was disappointed that it came from a teabag, but at least they gave a giant pot of it. Three Thai Sushi is not bad, and I would give it three stars if there weren't so many better options in the same shopping center, such as Charcoal Kabob, Uptown Pizza, Pho 75, and Cafe Antonio. Two stars means I'll only eat here if someone else is buying, otherwise I'll go to one of the better restaurants next door.

My husband and I are weekly regulars - we order carryout and we also enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant! We are always pleased with Three Thai's friendly service and consistently delicious food! I am a huge fan of their drunken noodles and summer rolls!

My favorite Thai place, it's a hidden gem! Excellent and lengthy menu. They don't skimp on the portions. The quality of food is great. I love their summer rolls and the best Tom Yum I've ever had! Their lunch specials are very reasonable. Also, they deliver! Not a fan of their sushi, I tried the spicy tuna roll...they should stick to what they do best which is Thai food.

I was hungry for some sushi, and it was about 3pm. Unfortunately, that's about when all of the Asian/Japanese restaurants close for lunch, and re-open again for dinner at 5. My friend and I were starving, so we chose this for two reasons. 1) It was open, and 2) because my co-worker said...if their take out is that good, their dine-in has to be amazing. She was right. Miso soup, amazing. That's how I judge a Japanese joint right away. I tend to stay away from 'fusion' places, since this is a a Thai/ Sushi joint. It was awesome, so we continued to order seaweed salad, sushi, panang curry, and I ordered a pad see-ew with pad thai noodles. It was amazing, and I returned back several times after that. Going away dinners, everything. My mom loves seafood, and I took her there so she could try it. She ordered the shrimp red curry, and it was AMAZING. The only thing, my friend ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was really dry, with the veggies undercooked. That was the only disappointing thing I've had there though. TRY IT. NOW.

This place has the best Thai food in the area. We don't go as often as wee wish, but it's only because we live in Ashburn. But if we're in the area we visit there. Everytime we visit another Thai restaurant we are reminded that it does not compare to the food at Three Thai Sushi. I hate drunken noodles elsewhere, but love them at Three Thai Sushi. Their Thai Fried Rice is delicious! An enjoyable experience everytime we go! I've never had delivery so I can't speak to that, but this place is definitely a great sit down place to go, even with kids! (We have a two year old toddler)

A good compromise when you want sushi and the other person doesn't. I am always worried about a sushi place that offers any kind of other food, but this place was good. Had the larb as an app. It was a large amount of food, which is never a bad thing. It was very yummy and quite spicy. The hotness didn't bother me, but be careful if you're sensitive to it. Had sushi for dinner (Chefs Special Roll and can't remember the other thing) and it was good. My friend ordered something from the thai menu and enjoyed her dinner as well. The place can be easily overlooked based on the shopping center that its in (think Chinese Buffet and K-mart). But its very cute and tastefully decorated. The prices are ok although some of the special rolls get up there.

I have tried the sushi here. My friend had told me it was terrible. Every noodle dish that I have ordered here as been outstanding. I have ordered the pad thai, drunken noodles and may be another noodle dish. I once went with a friend who ordered the drunken noodles and thai fried rice. The noodles were great but the fried rice was terrible. It was way too greasy. Stick with noodle dishes here. I heard the curry is not bad but I have not tried it.

Anytime my husband and I are feeling lazy and feel like delivery, this seems to always hit the spot (I like it better than Chao Phra Ya). We usually get pad see ew with chicken and drunken noodles with beef along with a papaya salad on the side.

I've only 1 reason why I was very disappointed with my last visit to 3 thai sushi. My mate and I dropped by one afternoon during a weekday for a late lunch. The hostess/waitress seemed surprised with our arrival but she did sit us very shortly. Even though we both knew what we were going to order, 2 lunch specials, the chicken pad thai, which come with spring rolls, we were still given the menu to riffle thru while she hustled our sodas. The waitress return with our drinks and took our order. Nothing out of the ordinary so far... It was when she made this announcement after we ordered that threw us off, "by the way, we're serving dinner now." What she meant to say is that each dish is going to costs a few dollars more (they have dinner prices) and you don't get the spring rolls. I looked at my cell phone for the time and it read 3:05pm. I even read the time out loud to the waitress, she didn't flinch. She was just doing her job. Sure, the top of their menu does read lunch is served between 11am to 3pm. But really?!? We missed their lunch time by a few minutes. I do recall checking my cell phone after I got out of the car just to make sure we're in before 3, and it read 2:55. I didn't want to be disruptive. I would have been glad to go to another place if they weren't open. But given their doors were open and we were given a table, the assumption is that they are still open for lunch. Could she have told us before I had ordered my drink? I felt obligated to stay since I had already ordered my soda. What was I suppose to do? Pay $1.50 & tax for the soda and walk out of there. We got our food. The food is the same as always ~ delicious. But the whole meal was thrown off with the way things started. The cost of our meal came to $27 + tips, instead of $18. Mind you, no spring rolls!!! The same nightmare materialized to a gentleman a few minutes after we ordered. I felt compelled to inform him of the dinner prices when he first walked in, but my wife asked me not to mind other people's business. I did what I was told. Still, out of the corner of my eyes, I saw the staggered look on his face when he was ordering, followed by the disgruntle gaze. Out of this one bad experience, I have sworn never to return. This happened 2 months ago, and I've kept my promise. It proves to all businesses that everything is marketing, and marketing is everything. They lost a loyal customer.

Hands down, best thai in the Reston/Herndon area. Seriously fresh pad thai. AMAZING crispy beef. Loved the papaya salad, the chicken skewers. YUM. I like Lakeside Asia, but this is better and I'm even willing to overlook that they don't deliver(to my house anyway).

Food is consistently delicious: Larb Gai, spring rolls, curry, fried rice, dumplings...everything! Only problem? We always order delivery, and it takes FOREVER. Also, one odd thing happened: I tried to use AMEX, which they said they accept. They called me back to say my card was declined?! What? So I called AMEX and they said no one had tried to put an order through from Three Thai Sushi. Now we use Visa, wait forever, but really enjoy the food when it finally arrives.

So I decided to give this place a shot based on the reviews I've read here. Plus I wanted to try an alternative Thai restaurant to Thai Luang. Well let me just say that I was happily impressed. Particularly since this restaurant offered a split menu of both Japanese and Thai food -- I usually wouldn't put my money in a place that doesn't specialize in a particular cuisine. So we tried 3 dishes -- 2 Thai and 1 Japanese. Easily the Thai dishes were the Go-To dishes. The crispy beef with spicy basil sauce was exactly what I pictured. Definitely crispy, slightly sweet, and mildly spicy. It was delish. The bigger winner was the beef and meatballs Thai noodle soup w/ rice noodles, green onion, cilantro, and bean sprouts. It was just packed with flavorful goodness! These two dishes alone were enough for me to come back to this place again. As far as the Japanese dish, I just ordered the Bento box #1 which included shrimp & veggie tempura, 3-piece sushi (salmon, tuna, white fish), 6-piece california roll, 2 steamed dumplings, and salad w/ sesame dressing. The Bento box was good. Not impressive, but good. It would've been better if the california roll contained fish roe. And after having two flavorful Thai dishes, this mild Japanese dish seemed out of place. Which goes to show that it's better to just order strictly from one cuisine type based on your mood. Some days Thai, other days Japanese. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt really nice and comfortable and it had an Asian, but modern look to it which I like. I love the fact that they have a large screen flat TV hanging from one corner of the restaurant with seats situated around it. From where I was sitting, I was able to glance up at times to catch highlights of the Master's tournament. The staff was very friendly and you can tell that it's family-run. So overall, Three Thai Sushi is a definite winner and you would not be disappointed with the Thai dishes!

Three Thai is a gem that's hidden in Herndon. If I think Middle Eastern cuisine, I think Falls Church. If I think Korean food, I think Annandale. If I think Thai food, I think Herndon. With restaurants like Thai Luang and two more off of Centreville Rd, you definitely have your choices for Thai food in this area. I like good restaurants that are just stuck in the middle of shopping centers. There's plenty of parking, you can run errands while you're there. Maybe I do like the suburban lifestyle a little more than the city lifestyle. Anyways, it's a quaint location with excellent PAD THAI and DRUNKEN NOODLES. Not too dry, but not too wet. Lots of meat and a good balance with the sauce. Can't go wrong with either of these two Thai classics. Beware: the Drunken Noodles are VERY spicy. Normally, when you see those tiny chili peppers next to the Thai menu items, you just glance over it since you know it's not going to be that spicy (from a Korean guy). But this one....WOOOOOWHEEEEEE!

I had a friend of mine order takeout from here and their Pad See Eu was so good, I couldn't believe it. So I decided to go there for lunch with my girlfriend and we ordered chicken pad Thai (lunch special w/ spring rolls) and chicken satay as an appetizer. They were both incredibly good! Every Thai dish I've tried from this restaurant is just exceptional and how those dishes, in my opinion, should taste. The atmosphere is really cool and laid back with a little bit of jazz music playing in the background. This is a fantastic restaurant and we can't wait to go back!!

Tonight was our first, last, and only time to experience Three Thai Sushi. We ordered online and were quoted 45 minutes. An hour later, we called and were told that the driver had left 20 minutes before (we live maybe 5-10 minutes away) and that she would have the driver call us. 15 minutes later, with no phone call, the driver finally arrived with plenty of excuses and stone cold food. When we called to complain, we were promised a return phone call within 5 minutes - and that was 20 minutes ago. The food may have been good had it still been warm, but it's hard to tell. Had they made any effort at customer service, they would probably get a second chance... but obviously they're not concerned with repeat business.

Dishes average about $10 and portions are decent, but not huge. I went there twice, ate the Panang for early dinner and Pad Thai for late lunch. Nice service and food taste (during off peak hours).

A big thank you to the Mayor of Route 28 and its environs Neal E for pointing out this place. Tucked in the right hand corner of the K mart strip mall in Herndon is a very beautiful place. Walking inside I was shocked by the fine decor for a strip mall restaurant. There is a lovely big bar along one side of the room which points its finger at you, looks at you with its come-hither eyes and says "sit by me all day and drink to your heart's content and I will love you all the more for that" I was in a very loving mood as well as I had just taken The Goddess for her first spin since November and she was smoking hot. But of course, The Goddess and the day-time drinking do not mix. She's pretty firm about that. The food is sushi and thai - my buddy had the vegetarian pad thai which he loved and I had a bento box. Fantastic food- great sushi and sashimi, my pal loved his food. An absolutely tremendous spot.

The thai food here is decently good. Nice lunch spot. The wait is a bit long for carryout orders, but they may give you a discount if you pick up instead of getting delivery. The summer rolls are delicious! Great lunch meal alone, or with a meal. Green curry is good, on the mild side. Definitely pass on the crispy beef. More like soggy beef strips. Spring rolls are very flaky, crispy and fresh.

LOVE! this place :) My husband introduced me to this place one night after we spent all day shopping at the outlets. I was in the mood for Thai. He told me that there was a great Thai place in the KMart Shopping plaza in Herndon (close to our place). I said, Sounds good to me. We get there at around 8:00 p.m. and its not too crowded. They let us choose where we want to sit. They have football games playing on their TV. So far so good. We get our menus and I look at the drinks. They had mixed drinks, wines, and beer. I got a Long Island Iced Tea and my husband got a BudLight. The LIIT was great - not too strong. Also, it didn't take long for them to bring out our drinks after we ordered. LOVED our waitress. Every time we go, she gives us top notch service. We ordered our meals. I ordered Kraw Pow and my hubby ordered Red Curry Chicken. We got our dishes and the portions sizes were great. Not too much and not too little. And the prices were just right. Both dishes were delicious. Presentation of my dish was AMAZING! They also have us a card that has order 10 meals and get the 11th meal free (dine-in only). How great is that? Love this place, the service, and the people. This is our go to Thai place. :) Took away one star because the recently upped their prices.

So an updated review: Three Thai has really picked up in popularity since the last time I reviewed it. It's stuck around in a shopping center that seems to be in the midst of a death. We were in again on a Thursday night and the place was packed! Service is still kind of slow, but food is always good. I've settled on ordering the Pad Thai and some sushi every time I go in now, it's consisently good, and doesnt have the greasy texture that Pei Wei has. I'm bumping the review from 3 stars to 4 based on them cutting some options out of the menu, streamlining choices and making an effort to stay around.

"It's just lunch". A popular matchmaking company uses that line to try to convince you that lunch isn't a real commitment, and if things go poorly, it's no big deal. If you have lunch at a place just once, does it qualify you to to write a review? Probably not. Who gives a fuck? You are reading this. I'm writing it. Let's go. What I walked in with was no expectation -- as we were just wandering around looking to try someplace new, this place came to mind. The place was half full, with one 1 guy manning all of the tables. He did an excellent job ... right up until the end, when I couldn't find him to get a drink refill at the end of the meal. I ordered the ground chicken with basic lunch special. Thai hot. I rather liked the spring roll that came with it. Nice and crunchy, not greasy. When the main course came out, it was accompanied by "the traditional ball of white rice on the side." I can't think of any other way to put it. I've had hot (spicy) Thai food before -- this wasn't it. However, while it was lacking in heat, it didn't lack in flavor. The chicken was akin to what you get if you order Larb Gai (sp?). My only complaint about the dish was that the onions and peppers were a little crunchier than they should have been, and that means the onions were still a little raw, and tasted like it. For 7 bucks, it was worth it. I'll go back once or twice and see if the experience changes it. It's a dim light next to the shining star that is Thai Luang about 1/2 mile away.

I've only ever had delivery from here but its one of my staples for delivery. I've had delivery from them a lot -- maybe over 20 times, maybe a lot more -- and they've screwed up only twice and were very apologetic. They are normally very reliable and if they screw up they will fix it at their expense. So if you have problems with what you order just call and they'll make good on it. The food is not outstanding but very solid well-done Thai and Japanese food that is delivered at the correct temperature and always very tasty. The delivery people are well-mannered, clean, and not at all pushy or threatening. It usually takes 30-45 minutes to get delivery from the moment I order online but I've had them show up in as little as 20 minutes. I've only ever had dishes with chicken and / or shrimp but both have been done well and the shrimp are large and the chicken slices are white meat and fresh. The drunken noodles are really good as is the pad thai. The vegetable fried rice is packed full of vegetables. The fried tofu appetizer is very large and nice and crispy outside and soft inside like it should be. I have rarely been disappointed with ordering from here.

This has become our go-to place for take out. We haven't dined in, but it's one of the few thai places that delivers. We almost always order the drunken noodles. It's very spicy but delicious. I would also recommend the potstickers as well as the spring rolls. All very well done. We've also tried the sushi which is pretty good, though not the best I've had. For the convenience of having it delivered it will do. My husband has tried a few other dishes and has never had any issues. It can be a little pricey and if you're having it delivered, expect it to take no less than 45 minutes.

I love this place. Love the drunken noodles, and now I know better than to order it "Thai Hot". The normal level of spice is quite fine, thank you. My husband always gets Pad Thai and I always end up with order envy. But, when I ordered for myself, i thought it was a little too sweet. The Spring rolls are crispy, fresh and tasty. We ate in once and service was superb. Only one bad experience and that was with ordering online. Don't do it. I think they farm that out to another service that just is not up to Three Thai Sushi standards. Call for delivery. Delivery is prompt.

Three Thai Sushi is a perfectly good Northern Virginia strip mall Thai place. The food is nicely prepared and well presented; clearly the kitchen takes some pride in what ends up in front of the dinners. Service - even when they're slammed - is friendly, efficient, and caring. Yet for all that, I'm afraid the gushing reviews for Three Thai really are unjustified. There is a world of difference between perfectly good and extraordinary. Three Thai is not the latter. The Thai dishes are tasty, and seasoned much the way they ought to be (something the Thai have figured out, that seems to escape the owners of Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants in the areas). But I've not been rendered speechless by a single thing I've eaten, however much it tasted as I expected it to. The sushi is absolutely middle of the road. It is well prepared, and it's fresh. It doesn't, however, play in the same ocean as extraordinary sushi. And clearly, looking at the sushi bar and the paltry selection of fish on display, the three part name for the restaurant seems to be more marketing than passion. And that's too bad, because we really, really need a good sushi place. There are lots of places to have a good Thai meal in Reston and Herndon. You could do much worse than Three Thai - easily - but just don't expect anything other than what you're expecting.

First time at the restaurant, altho we've ordered delivery about a dozen times with excellent results. We arrived early on a Saturday afternoon. Service is prompt. Ordered sushi as appetizers and two Thai dishes for dinner. Sushi is regularly good, but our choice in rolls this time didn't blow us away. The yellow coconut curry chicken and crispy basil duck were both amazing though! The curry chicken was rich and the duck had the perfect sweet savory spicy combination. Definitely one of our go to places and will be coming back.

For the service, price, quality and amount of food you get, Three Thai Sushi is awesome! It's the best Thai restaurant in the Reston/Herndon area. They're lunch menu is extensive and you get enough food that can last three meals without paying more than $10. I'm a regular and would not go to any other Thai restaurants in the area. Everyone I've recommended this restaurant to has also become a regular and they say the dishes they've had there are better than any other Thai restaurant they've been to in this area.

I've ordered delivery from this place during a weekday lunch, and the person who picked up the phone sounded like she still belonged in middle school. She had to ask me for my credit card number three times, which was annoying, to say the least. Then my food came more than an hour after I ordered it, but only after the delivery person called me to ask me what my address was again. But all of this could have been forgiven if the food was at least decent. My "shrimp tempura" had one shrimp in it and was too greasy. The seafood in my spicy basil fried rice didn't seem very fresh at all and the sushi had very thin slices of fish on them. I'm never ordering from here again.

Skip the sushi and got straight for the Thai! Amazing curries, noodle dishes etc. Huge portions, fresh ingredients, great spice level and never ever greasy or artificial tasting like some Thai restaurants. Don't let the funky shopping center throw you off. Great things lay ahead at Three Thai! Oh and they deliver!

This place is so far the restaurant I like while I visit VA. Food quality is consistent, price is reasonable. The only thing I would suggest is not to order beef as your meat choice as last time when I ordered it, the beef was really hard to chew.

My hubby and I love this place! It's awesome sushi for delivery and excellent thai. They have always been very quick for delivery. We usually order more than we can eat but will save the leftovers. They have a ton of great vegetarian options and their tofu/veg fried rice is excellent.

Whenever I have a craving for Thai, this is where I go, and I've never had a bad meal. The Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle are both very good. The mango with sticky rice is delish. Their papaya salad is YUUUUMMMMMY. The Duck salad also very good, but I still prefer the papaya. Their chicken salad is also excellent but I forgot the name...I think it was the first one on their to-go menu though. I have tried probably a third of their menu and have never been disappointed. I would give them a 4.5 but yelp doesn't allow it....booo....

Three Thai Sushi is described as a fusion of Thai and Japanese. The Japanese selection is what one would expect, I've had the Tonkatsu. The sushi dinners are a great deal there, and the sushi itself is heavy on the fish, not the rice(much appreciated). The Thai side has the staples, but I have not yet indulged. Friendly and quick service, nice decor. Now for my only qualm. I was really hoping for something new and different, something of true Thai-Japanese fusion. But alas, no fusion to be found. Would love see this place take some more chances and make true on the claim to fusion.

My friend introduced me to this place and it's one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the area. What's great about this restaurant is that they have don't MSG in their food like other places. I've tried many dishes off of their menu (mainly Thai) and I liked all of them including their sushi! I will definitely keep coming back!

Okay I am at the really poor holiday inn express across the street and I notice out of my first floor dirty window that the shopping plaza across the street, yes with a Kmart, has a million restaurants in it. I was a little nervous but the guy at the counter of the hotel said "it is ALL good", so who am I to question him? I walked across and thie fall weather was going to be a messy wet night soon. I a, sure they are a Thai place and it was clear the clientele liked it and would know if you know what I mean. I wanted some sushi and I stuck with my original thought. When I saw the food I wish I had gone to the Thai but the sushi was good too. The sushi chef took care of me at the sushi bar while the waitress pored a very fair cocktail for this weathered traveling sales guy. The chef insisted on his signature roll and i was in. A little special sauce a little spice a little crunch and all was good. Sashimi was fresh but small. He could and should have been a little more open with the knife. Bottom line. Good stuff. And easy to get to and use. If your at a bad hotel, alone, no football, baseball or other distraction on the screen then this is a treat. I'll come back and get the Thai the next time. Enjoy

This is such a great spot for lunch if you live or work nearby. The menu has a nice mix of Japanese and Thai food, both with a pretty good selection of items. I've never ordered their sushi, but their Thai dishes are really nice and pretty big for what you're paying. This is especially true for their weekday lunch specials--$10 for an entree, soup, and spring roll, all served quickly and piping hot? Heck yes! Plus, everyone here is pleasant and courteous, and I always feel like I get just the right amount of attention when I'm dining there. I recently went in with a friend with a mix of food allergies, and both the waitress and the cook were super helpful in making sure they used ingredients that would work best (and the lo mein still tasted great!).

I arrived at the restaurant close to 1:00 pm on a Thursday. Three tables were occupied. No wait time; I was seated right away. The menu was somewhat limited. I had the Chicken Basil lunch special. It came with a crispy egg roll and a non-refillable drink for under $10. The food was served promptly and hot by the very polite server. She checked on me a few times but she was not overbearing. The dish was spicy, just how I like Thai food. Great flavor throughout but I considered it as being average. Decent portion for the price and being a lunchtime special. A great value and it wasn't heavy to the stomach. I would definitely return primarily for the value. I would have given a 5 star but again the food was fairly typical, nothing that really stood out.

I ordered delicious vegetable rolls with Thai spicy chicken & vegetable soup. This is a hidden gem in the city of Herndon. It's clean, has good waiters and no wait time every time I go!

My favorite Thai place in the area. The service is always good, including timely delivery. Plus this is the only Thai place in the area that actually makes their food Thai hot. The drunken noodles are fantastic!

This place just delivered 10 minutes before closing. They remember my name and my order. They also remember my dogs name when I got to the delivery driver, and details about my life. So personable. So willing to go the extra mile. If they don't succeed in the restaurant business.... Although they will.. I am grabbing management to work for me.

Came in for lunch and shared 3 rolls and a drunken noodle with my mom. Everything was fresh and delish! The lunch special was not greasy and the chicken was grade A white meat. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff!

You can never go wrong with this place. Especially for lunch. $10 lunch combos are they way to go. With this you get a main dish, spring roll, and soup. How can you go wrong? :). The people working there are always friendly and attentive. If you are in the mood for Thai. Give them a shot.

We ordered delivery from Three Thai Sushi and I must say it was an overall fantastic experience! Right from the moment that my call was answered, I felt like this place really cares about their customers. The gentleman on the phone was extremely polite and took the time to ensure he took down all of my information right since I was a first time customer. He was very helpful with recommending which dish I should go with. Delivery was much quicker than estimated! And the food - delicious!!! I was worried, because I have had bad experiences with trying new Thai places... especially with the fact that this was the first time ordering DELIVERY Thai! (Excuse my excitement, as I am new to the area and always wished for a place to deliver me delicious Thai food!) Great food. Great service. Will be ordering from here again and again.

Really great resteraunt. The owners are friends of the family and they are really genuine and sweet. Love the asian culture and diversity that this place has! I'm telling you you will crave this food after you have it, its that good! Highly recommend the bento boxes and the cruch sushi rolls and the summer rolls! Definitely coming back.

We've been going here and ordering delivery for 5yrs now and you just can't go wrong. Very consistent and prices are reasonable. Sushi is pretty good and their Thai dishes are pretty good as well. It's always our go to delivery restaurant when we want something spices or need to get our sushi fix without leaving the house. Definitely recommend

This is my go-to restaurant for sushi - the Chef's Special Roll is incredible. They also have some of the best Pad Thai I've ever had. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Love this place!

Loved the sweet and sour chicken and the mochi dessert. Unlike any sweet and sour chicken we've ever had before! Excellent and friendly service. The sushi had a bit too much mayo on it though.

YAY delivery sushi!!! My husband and I ordered 6 rolls from them last night and each one was better than the last. We were so impressed with how fresh everything tasted, and how fair their prices were! They delivered our order within the 60 minute allotted delivery window. We have been longing for a place to deliver sushi to our Reston home and we're so glad we found one. We will definitely be ordering from here again!

Ordered from this place a month ago and was pleased with the food except for the Sushi. The sushi was mushy and not worth the price. We work in Reston Town Center and often have food delivered in because it is impossible to find parking when you return from lunch. The first time we ordered it took close to an hour to receive our food. We tried to order delivery today and they encouraged us to pick up the order because they had a large order going to Fair Lakes (much further away then us). When we explained that it wasn't an option he told us it would take an hour then to deliver our food. We told them we would go somewhere else and that said that was fine. I got the feeling that the real issue was not wanting to deliver food during the lunch rush.

Wow. Do not expect to get good food or customer service here. I placed my order at 4:50 tonight and it didn't come for more than 90 minutes. When I called to inquire why the food was so cold, it took 5 minutes to get an apology (blamed on traffic and I said a call to inform the delay wouldve been appreciated). The tempura was saggy and cold, the teriyaki was tough and had way too much sauce, and quite honestly, I was shocked that they didn't care to offer me an incentive to keep us as their customer. OWNERS: provide Tonya some training in business and customer satisfaction. We won't be ordering from here again.

We have ordered delivery, as well as dine-in, and we are thoroughly impressed by this establishment. One the food is authentic and doesn't taste like the same old Thai food that is becoming more and more common in the Herndon/Reston area. Delivery is prompt and friendly, and we were able to chat with one of the owners for a couple minutes on one of the deliveries. I love that they serve both sushi and thai food, and they menu is out of this world with options. Mmmmm my stomach is growling writing this aaaaaand I know where I'm ordering dinner from! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. P.S. I love their Thai Iced Tea and order two every time (one for now and one for later)

Was in the shopping center running an errand around lunch time so I decided to stop in and give this place another whirl. Saw the lunch special advertisement in the window which included chicken tom yum soup, spring roll, and entree for $10. Not bad price considering the soup AND spring roll. First minor grievance was that once inside, the lunch special stated vegetable Tom Yum Soup; they jacked my chicken! Oh well, not really here for the soup, so no big deal. The soup was decent... was salty but not overly salty as Tom Yum can be sometimes. The spring roll was actually pretty good -- a little on the greasy side, but was crispy and freshly fried.. so I was happy with it. However, the failure was the main course. I thought I'd give their Sweet & Sour dish a try, with pork. When it came out I was a little concerned.... the sauce was really dark. It looked like A1 steak sauce and had the consistency of A1 as well. Fortunately it didn't taste like steak sauce, but it wasn't good either. It completely covered the entire surface of the plate so there was a lot of it, too. I have ordered Thai Sweet and sour elsewhere before and the sauce is usually like a orange/reddish color and thin and has a light sweet flavor with maybe some hints of ginger or garlic. This sauce was ... I dont even know how to describe it. I felt like the chef was experimenting on me with some new recipe they hadn't tried before. Like maybe they added too much golden mountain sauce and then tried to dilute and thicken it... and dilute and thicken it, and then add some oyster sauce. I don't know. It just wasn't good. Also, the portion was TINY. I'm talking like 3 pieces of pork, 2 pineapple chunks, a couple slivers of tomato, and a handful of some strange melon-like vegetable/fruit (the melon was actually not bad, it tasted like maybe a miniature and mild honeydew)... but yeah, the entree as a whole was a strong flop in my opinion. My apologies to the chef for the criticism... Service was slow, but no fault of waitress, they were busy with the lunch rush so I can't knock em for that... they were running around trying to keep up but you could tell the consensus written on several customer's faces that there were some annoyed people in the crowd. The two waitresses were in the weeds fo' sure. Hey, I ain't mad -- I've been there before! Who knows, maybe the kitchen was so busy (or tired from the weekend) that the quality was just slipping today.... I'll probably try them again some day since I can't hold a grudge and they are close to work. Anyhow, hate to knock this place down a notch.... but really, they need to take that sweet and sour off the menu if how I got it is how it's supposed to be. work on portions (it looks like some other reviewers say the portions are hit or miss), and update the window lunch special sign to reflect the Veggie soup vs Chicken soup. ...or not, it's a free country.

Went here for lunch one day and it wasn't very crowded. The service was fast and friendly but there was a little bit of a language barrier. My sprite had very little fizz but I didn't bother to send it back because I knew it would be a A struggle to communicate what was wrong with the drink. The lunch deal was a good value and reasonably priced. The Miso soup was average and the sushi was decent. One of My coworkers ordered his lunch without onions and his food was rife with them. All in all I'd go back again.

We used to order from Three Thai Sushi but after the third strike, we have to let them go. Mind you, we have never been into the establishment having only odered for delivery. First strike: odered the sushi combo and received only spicey tuna of which, it was not fresh Second strike: burned shrimp fried rice/burned pad thia Third strike: they watered down the yellow curry so horribly that it was not edible Strike four (yes, we kept believing): ordered at 7:30, at 9:15 we had to tell them we were cancelling our order and they ARGUED with us saying that the delivery guy would be there soon. Strike five (we must like punishment): Sushi........less than what was ordered in a verity not wanted. Enough said.

Pad Thai had no flavor and lacked fixings like peanuts and scallions. Lunch combo soup was ok and the spring roll was nothing impressive.

We went here using a living social voucher, which was for an appetizer, roll and entree. This alone ended up almost being enough to feed both of us without a problem! Without the voucher, I may never have found the place, since its tucked in back of a strip mall, kind of in the back corner of it. Inside its pretty nicely setup- a small bar, and a few tables, but a nice ambiance overall. The servers were all very nice and attentive. As for the food, the spring rolls were delicious, and the rolls were very tasty and fairly fresh. The entree wasn't bad- a little bland for my taste but by no means bad- a noodle and chicken dish (I can't figure out the exact name anymore, sorry!) A good dining experience and I'm sure we will be back!

I ordered 3 sushi rolls, Tom kha soup, crab wontons and beef basil fried rice through Eat24. I am very allergic to avocado so I put a note to leave it out of the rolls. Two of the rolls came with avocado so I was not able to eat them. I called to see if they could fix it and the owner brought two new rolls quickly with no hesitation, I'm not sure who answered the phone but they were very nice and helpful. The fact that she brought it personally with a 10% off my next order coupon was awesome! She was very sweet and apologetic about the mix up. The soup was amazing, the sushi was perfect (volcano roll, rock and roll, tempura wasabi roll) and the rice was yummy. Everything I ordered was spicy and the perfect heat. I will definitely order from here again and can't wait to go in and eat.

Great place to order delivery but the one time that we dined in we had the absolute slowest service. Also, now having dined in, we're pretty sure we won't be ordering sushi anymore... BUT their thai food is really good and like I said great place to order delivery from!

Terrible delivery time, didn't apologize, and then cancelled my order without telling me or giving me a refund! After waiting 1 hr 20 min I called asking where my food was. They said it would be another 15 min. I asked for a discount considering the delay. They said they could cancel my order. I told them I would not be ordering from them again then and hung up, but did not request cancelation. It's 1 hr 55 min now and still no food AND no refund despite it appearing they cancelled my order. I had to contact Eat24 and they refunded my money. Don't waste your money or time on this place.

Walked here on a whim when both my friend and I were in the are and craving dinner. She ordered the sushi and of course being the crazy Thai addict that I am I got the Pad See Ew. We ordered the food to go, but the server was still very friendly. And the manager (?) of the place heard that we were speaking Arabic, asked us where we're from and spent the next few minutes talking with us about Egypt etc. Thought that was pretty nice of him. I think the Pad See Ew was definitely one of the best I had in the area so far; however my friend didn't absolutely love her sushi. Would definitely be back again though.

Absolutely loved the crispy basil chicken and tom kha. The chicken is so tender. We went on a windy chilly night so a bottle of beer and hot soup were just perfect. For our starter, the crab wonton was also great. The waitress know what she is doing and very charming indeed. Lastly, Green Thai music by Chamras was playing and very relaxing. Will definitely be back again.

I am extremely disappointed. I ordered delivery right when they opened for dinner, and it took an hour for it to get to my house when they are only 2 miles away. I ordered a $14 kamikaze roll and a chicken pad Thai. The sushi roll was way overpriced and what I received looked nothing like the picture displayed in the menu. It was the smallest specialty roll that I have ever seen. To make it worst my pad Thai came in the bag on top of my sushi. Hot spicy tuna is gross. The few pieces of chicken in the pad Thai was very dry. I would not recommend eating here. I will add a picture of this pathetic sushi roll and you should check it out.

This review is based on delivery through a second party called EAT24 About an hour ago, I was craving pad thai. However, I'm stuck babysitting the siblings so I couldn't drive to my usual location (Tara Thai). So I decided to go on trusty yelp and see if there were any places that delivered. I decided to try out Three Thai Sushi as their reviews seemed pretty good. I honestly DO NOT suggest ordering delivery from here if you are only ordering for one person. The minimum is $25 before tax... -__- However, the idea of eating pad thai was too great for me to not order anyways. I ordered chicken pad thai (thai hot), two orders of sticky rice and mango, and thai tea. The two orders of sticky rice and mango were added to meet the $25 minimum. My food took 60min to get here, a little long for my liking, but the food was hot and they even saran wrapped my thai tea! My pad thai was GOOD and a large portion. It was very spicy just like I wanted it, with lots of chicken, and very flavorful. My only disappointment was I only found 3 pieces of red bean curd, which is like my favorite part of pad thai. The sweet sticky rice with mango I have not tried, but they do give you a half a mango which is a lot compared to a lot of reviews I've seen on yelp in general. The thai tea was good. Clearly made from actually brewed tea and not out of a can, which I can really appreciate as ones from cans usually have a metallic cloyingly sweet taste to them. Overall, a good experience! I will have to try dining in next time and MORE RED BEAN CURD!

I have been coming here now for a year. The owners are amazing! It does a lot of carry out and it can some times take a long time. But always worth it. Sushi is always amazing Thai as well. All around its just a great little place with good portions and decent prices.

I have gotten food, both sushi and Thai, a few times within the last year. I think the food is pretty good, I usually only get vegetable sushi rolls or drunken noodles. Today my family ordered drunken noodles, pad see eaw with chicken, hurricane chicken and vegetable fried rice. The drunken noodles were great! My favorite dish at any Thai restaurants; however, the hurricane chicken had very little chicken in it. My brother had ordered that dish, just wanting to try something new. He and I both ate a few pieces each and after about eating five pieces between the both of us, we realized that there was no chicken in any of the five pieces we ate. It was all batter. So, after getting annoyed at this, my brother decided to call the restaurant and explain to them what happened. He had to keep repeating himself and then finally after the employee on the phone understood what my brother was talking about, he asked if he could get another dish. He also asked if they could deliver to us so that he wouldn't have to lave to pick the food up. The employee on the phone told him that no one could deliver because they didn't have enough customers that were placing delivery orders. When my brother told me this, I got confused because I have never heard of a restaurant who has a condition delivery service. Regardless, he and my sister-in-law went to the restaurant, with the hurricane chicken dish in hand to show the employee once they got there. At the restaurant, my brother and sister-in-law showed the hurricane chicken dish to the employee and explained again that there was not a lot of chicken in the dish and for $13, it was unacceptable. The employee went to the chicken to talk to the chef and she started screaming. The chef was screaming so loudly that my brother, sister-in-law and the other customer eating in the restaurant could hear. Then, the employee came back out with the chef. The chef continued to yell to the employee (I say 'to' the employee because it seemed as though she was mad at my brother and sister-in-law but was telling the employee). This scene happened directly in front of my brother and sister-in-law. Then, the chef turned to my brother and sister-in-law and told them that the chef didn't understand why they had broken all the pieces of the dish apart. She implied that my brother had eating all of the chicken and just left the batter. Although I'm sure there are people that actually do this, why would my brother bother going back to the restaurant and complain about this ONE particular dish when we had ordered other food that was getting cold at home? Then, the manager came from the kitchen and reiterated what the chef was saying about my brother eating the chicken and leaving the batter. None of the employees in the restaurant seemed to think that yelling and offending the customers was a big deal. So, after all of that, my sister-in-law asked the manager for the owners name and number to which the manager replied, "why? what is that going to do?" So, my sister-in-law replied with, "Are you denying me my right to express my complaints about this restaurant?" In the end, the manager gave her the owners information and my sister-in-law even got the managers name so that she could talk to the owner about the horrific customer service. Let me tell you, customer service means so much to me because my parents have owned their own small business for 30+ years. I know what hard work looks like and if my parents employees ever spoke to a customer like that, they would be out on their behinds. It just seems that the employees at Three Thai Sushi don't care at all about customer service which I find baffling because I think in this area, customer service should be EVERYTHING. There are too many clothing stores and restaurants in Northern Virginia to have to deal with bad customer service. Bottom line: We will be taking our business else where and we will be telling our family and friends to do the same!

I absolutely love this place for lunch! They have a lunch special for $10 that includes a small tom yum soup, egg roll, and entree (pad thai, curry, drunken noodles, etc). The portion is enough for me so that I have some pad thai leftover for lunch tomorrow and the service is great. Whenever I crave thai food for lunch in the Herndon/Reston area this is my go to for sure!

ordered delivery twice and I have to say the food is amazing. I've gotten the beef bento box. very fresh sushi. they poke holes In the box of the tempura so it doesn't get soggy (wish other restaurants knew this trick.) also tried the beef pad see Ew and it is delicious. A little greasy but not enough to stop me from ordering again. delivery was fast and the delivery woman was very nice.

It's really hit-or-miss but I can't stop coming back. Sometimes the food is okay, and sometimes it's good. It's never been great, but it's more food for the money when compared to the local competition, except maybe Busara, but I'm still too pissed at them to give them any money. The portion sizes vary between average and overly generous for the same dish from night to night. One home run they scored with me was for delivery on a Friday night. I called several hours ahead to place a delivery order for 8pm and it arrived just a few minutes after scheduled!

I won't lie, I was surprised to be as pleased as I was. I ended up coming here for lunch when I was originally on the hunt for Nippon, even though I'd been subconsciously avoiding this place since the name suggested fusion cuisine. My bad for judging a restaurant by its name, though I can't comment on the Thai menu here since I dabbled exclusively at the sushi bar during my visit. Semi-divey ambiance but I think that's just a side effect of the decor. Thai iced tea came out in good time as I stared at the TV mounted near the windows, and when I turned in my paper order the sushi chef got to work almost right away since I'd come in at the tail end of lunch rush. Beverage was slightly on the creamier side of an even split. Shaggy dog roll was huge, the biggest roll I've ever had made for me! I've never had one roll make me full without help, I wouldn't get nigiri along with it next time. The shrimp tempura in the roll was cooked nicely. I felt the saucing was excessive for my palate, but it certainly created the visual to make the naming apt. His special dipping sauce was aces though, pinch of scallion and sesame seeds mixed into the soy sauce with a healthy stir of roe. Decadence at its best. They forgot my nigiri order but hastily brought it out with sincere apologies. Tuna, yellowtail, and salmon were reasonably fresh for the area, and cut generously. Sadly, the hamachi was my least favorite here since the texture was slightly off. Three and a half stars. Aesthetics were great, but I could've done with less mayo. Service friendly and discreet. Big enough sushi portions to impress. Not destination dining, but it's good for a convenient lunch break.

So...I am a die hard fan of Busara. But after a few bad food incidents at both at their locations and delivery taking well over 90 minutes, we decided to give someone else a shot. After looking at a few of the reviews we decided to give these guys a shot. One word: TASTY! Their Tofu Basil Fried Rice was so flavorful and full of vegetables. The tofu was well seasoned and the cuts were very generous and there was plenty of it. Our Chicken Ka Pow was insanely spicy...but in a good way! Full of vegetables and plenty of chicken which is always the hubby's first complaint lol. However, instead of a well deserved 5 - star rating, I am dropping them two big ones for their sushi! I guess you can't really expect a fusion cuisine type of place to get everything right....but this was really wrong...the Spicy Tuna roll was made from some sort of tuna paste. There were no features to the pink mush...and its texture was just odd. Needless to say, it went straight into the trash! UGH! We're thinking about giving them another shot....

Came in at 2:30PM on a Saturday and had the whole place to myself. Atmosphere was contemporary and sophisticated with easy jazz music. I sat up at the bar and ordered the Chef's Special Roll (following anonymous U's advice.) No beer on tap, but a good selection of bottles. The chef gave me a couple of pieces of nigiri sushi while he made the Chef's Special Roll. The Chef's Special Roll was balanced, a little spicy, and well-presented. The proportions were perfect. I'd have it again. The waitress struck up a conversation amiably. Good staff, good quality, good prices, good ambiance... I'd come back.

Delicious food and they were very accommodating with the delivery request beyond their usual jurisdiction.

My husband and I are weekly regulars - we order carryout and we also enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant! We are always pleased with Three Thai's friendly service and consistently delicious food! I am a huge fan of their drunken noodles and summer rolls!
(5)S S.

(4)Sanjib S.

(5)Aimee B.
(3)Nowel P.
Great Thai food in Reston area! However, delivery takes a long time.

(4)James O.

(1)Chris G.
Fantastic food! We were looking on yelp for delivery and came across this place. Great curry and fried rice. Will certainly order again.
(5)Daniel I.

(4)Claire T.

(4)Rupa R.
their thai basil fried rice, crispy calamari basil and Dynamide roll, volcano roll, California roll...sushi is pretty good and Chicken basil is ok....

(4)Dave P.

(4)Shannon H.
(4)Carol W.

(3)Jessica P.
The thai food here is just ok. I haven't had the Sushi, but probably won't be going back to try it. There are better Thai places in the area.
(2)Angela N.
(4)Tina N.
Loved every minute of my meal here! The restaurant is nicely decorated and the food was exceptionally good. The waitress was very nice as well.
(5)Inigo M.
Gave them another try but was sadly disappointed by the less than mediocre bento box.
(2)foodie b.
(5)Mike J.
Excellent thai food, good service.
(5)Julia M.
(1)Lisa E.
(5)Obaachan H.
This place is so far the restaurant I like while I visit VA. Food quality is consistent, price is reasonable. The only thing I would suggest is not to order beef as your meat choice as last time when I ordered it, the beef was really hard to chew.
(4)Dylan S.
Mediocre. Fish wasn't the freshest. Took a while to get a drink, soup and salad. Not terrible, but won't return.
(2)Jessica Y.
My hubby and I love this place! It's awesome sushi for delivery and excellent thai. They have always been very quick for delivery. We usually order more than we can eat but will save the leftovers. They have a ton of great vegetarian options and their tofu/veg fried rice is excellent.
(4)Jessica G.
(4)Randy M.
(4)Jean S.
(5)WHD D.
Enjoy
(3)Victoria S.
(5)Marc E.
(4)Samantha C.
I ordered delicious vegetable rolls with Thai spicy chicken & vegetable soup. This is a hidden gem in the city of Herndon. It's clean, has good waiters and no wait time every time I go!
(5)Katelyn T.
My favorite Thai place in the area. The service is always good, including timely delivery. Plus this is the only Thai place in the area that actually makes their food Thai hot. The drunken noodles are fantastic!
(5)Matthew P.
(5)Arielle K.
Came in for lunch and shared 3 rolls and a drunken noodle with my mom. Everything was fresh and delish! The lunch special was not greasy and the chicken was grade A white meat. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff!
(4)Jesse C.
You can never go wrong with this place. Especially for lunch. $10 lunch combos are they way to go. With this you get a main dish, spring roll, and soup. How can you go wrong? :). The people working there are always friendly and attentive. If you are in the mood for Thai. Give them a shot.
(4)Dinah M.
(5)Joselid A.
(5)Josh T.
(4)Anonymous U.
This is my go-to restaurant for sushi - the Chef's Special Roll is incredible. They also have some of the best Pad Thai I've ever had. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Love this place!
(5)K P.
Fresh and delicious Thai food. Sushi was tasty as well. Fast delivery. Will definitely order again from Three Thai Sushi. Thumbs up!
(4)Jen G.
Loved the sweet and sour chicken and the mochi dessert. Unlike any sweet and sour chicken we've ever had before! Excellent and friendly service. The sushi had a bit too much mayo on it though.
(4)Jerry A.
Worst service I have ever had in a restaurant. 2 tables and 4 employees but they could've cared less about the customers.

Food surprisingly tasty. Staff mannerly. Decor -- small and needs an upgrade -- nowhere near plush.

I'm impressed with the service and food! It is very close to my home but I never tried before but I will definitely go back.

Yummy food and the delivery lady was very nice!

Really good services when I ordered my food I got to me at a good time once again. : )

Great lunch specials on sushi and Thai dishes. Love their sushi.

This is our go-to place for thai food in the Herndon-Reston area! We've been eating here for years. Try the drunken noodles, chicken panang curry, and summer rolls. Can't get enough!
