Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I felt compelled to defend this place! I read all the previous reviews about the awful staff and I was hesitant to come here. I travel A LOT for work and I have to say that when I showed up tonight, the staff that helped me was beyond friendly. They didn't rush me, were extremely polite, and made it an overall pleasant experience. The food was good as Qdoba always is ... Love love the queso!

The quality of the food is excellent. Everything is sooooo fresh. Only thing I can sort of complain about is that they could give you a few more chips.

Wow...I can't believe I've been going to Chipotle instead of Qdoba for years now. There really is no competition between the two. With much more variety and just plain better food, Qdoba wins the battle between the un-pronounceable burrito chains!

When I went to JMU, this was my staple take-out fake Mexican place. It's all about the chicken queso burrito. Their queso sauce is so good, the burritos are huge, and it's delicious. It's the perfect hangover remedy. I'd say it's on par with Chipotle in terms of quality.

I have eaten at this Qdoba roughly ten times now over 3 years and I've had mixed feelings with it. Previously the food and service was mediocre, however my girlfriend and I were lured back from our usual chipotle destination due to their Valentine's Day buy one get one deal. They have also instituted that extras are no longer extra! But don't be fooled, their prices have also been increased where a burrito will run you near $9 dollars from chipotles $7.30-50ish Anyway the last time we went the staff was better, the food was better, they have the new upgraded drink machine as opposed to old school fountain drink style. The new machine is the one with ~100 flavors and the touch screen. We actually got water cups anyway because we didn't realize and the drinks tasted weird here in the past. Overall I think it's improved, and I was happy with my previous dining experience. I would eat there again. My burrito combination if anyone new is interested If you don't want it a bit spicy just remove the Diablo queso Tortilla Brown rice Black beans Chicken Diablo queso and normal queso Pico de guyo Corn salsa Guacamole Sour cream Lettuce

We always choose this place for tacos when we are in a rush. 4 tacos cost $8.80. It's cafeteria style service. The line moves quickly. Decent food if you're in a hurry. I had rated this a 3 at first but changed it to two because of the staff.

Have ran into snobby workers about half the times I have been here. Chipotle is way better but sometimes the line gets to long. Don't call the naked burrito a burrito bowl or you will be corrected.

I've been to this Qdoba several times. Decent food, but the staff hasn't been great. Almost every time I've been there, the worker seems grumpy and seems to just start adding stuff that I never asked for them to put on my food. This could be concerning to people who have food allergies and can't eat certain things. Edit: The management is now worse, so I downgraded their rating. I recently went during the rush, and one of the employees was dumping ingredients on to the food without asking me if I wanted it on my item. She told me that I "needed to tell them" that I didn't want tomatoes on it, when I was given NO TIME to "tell her" that. Also they are being very stingy with WATER CUPS, telling me that "I must stress it's for water ONLY" - I understand, the water cups are for water, and I don't even drink soda, but the profit margin for soda is high. I feel sorry for the employee who has to say this every time, as I'm sure it's not his/her idea. It's obnoxious and annoying. I will not be returning to this Qdoba. TL;DR: Go to Chipotle instead, it's literally right around the corner.

Hands-down the best burrito I've ever eaten. This place is amazing and a "must stop" whenever I'm in Harrisonburg (once or twice a year). I've been to several Qdobas (in other cities), but this place is the best so far. It's clean, the staff is friendly and it's in a great location. Other similar chains (Chipotle and Moe's come to mind) don't compare. If uncertain as to a selection, their grilled chicken and rice on a burrito will not disappoint!
