Came here for brunch on a Sunday a few weeks ago. Delicious!! Although we ordered bloody Mary's and they were probably the worst I've ever had. Next time we'll do the make your own Bloody Mary bar. They also have $3 mimosas I got the classic eggs Benedict. I cannot wait to go back!!!

Went for brunch and service and food was done quickly... I had the banana foster French toast and it was delicious... Our server heather was friendly and very professional.. Our first brunch experience here was great... I been to a few restaurants lately and service hasn't been good at all...

Second time dining at the restaurant. First time, was a couple of years ago during the holidays. Wonderful dining experience. Visited this establishment last night. Staff was courteous, however, food was just ok. Their firecracker shrimp was nothing like the bang bang shrimp at Bonefish ( as our server had told us). The wings were way too salty and the salad did not taste very fresh. I will not done here again, especially since there are so many other establishments to choose from in the area.

Allo mate', here I am arriving in my Sunday's best with my siblings and dad. Once in a while, I like to treat my family to a small outing in Gainesville - oh my have things bloomed over the years. Arriving with my yelper friends on my mind and my finger on the app; scrolling away through the reviews and pics. After reviewing the brunch menu, I quickly compromised with the calorie intake I was about to indulge with the hardest Sunday workout ever later that afternoon to order a ... MIMOSA for $3bucks! But I definitely hit rock bottom before I even had a sip - my heart fell to the ground as our waitress explained to us that they were out of OJ... WUT. I don't undahstand!.. it's.. 11am...brunch... Sunda....nevermind. I quickly brushed that off and ordered a "tropical Bellini" which tasted like champagne and your usual cough medicine. Not my cup of Bellini--- bahleaveME. ONWARDS to the food. I ordered the Florentine Benedict, which was quite delicious! I would definitely recommend it. The breakfast potatoes had a crispy, yet flavorful taste to it. - Yum. My dad ordered the pan-seared steak and eggs. Which I was definitely not a fan of. The steak was not cooked the way we wanted, and it tasted as if they used water to speed up the cooking process. WHY. Sorry maggie moo, we did not bring honor to you. My brother ordered the breakfast quesadillas, which was meh, just OK. Overall, the dining experience was ok - the waitress was prompt and attentive. I would only recommend the benedict for brunch and just MAYBE a mimosa if I ever get to try it - but hey, who could mess that up?! Grafton Street - I bid you good luck.

My wife and I had dinner here a few nights ago, and were pleasantly surprised. As of now, it's a one and only, although, they will be looking to expand. I had a burger and fries, and my wife had fish tacos. I must admit that the food was superior to what is usually served at one of the type of establishments. My burger was very tasty, and my wife said that her fish tacos were excellent. The most amazing part of the experience was the hostess. I had inadvertently left my cell phone on the outside table when we left to go to Cold Stone Creamery on the next block. The hostess, Rachel, picked it up and walked down to the creamery, where we're standing, to give it to me. I've never seen anyone do that before! That made a very good experience, an excellent one.

Great staff, good beer on tap, awesome food. Their wings appetizer is grilled and hen fired! I found my new favorite way to fix wings. The bartenders are super friendly, and don't forget try the bacon chorizo burger!!
(4)Jessica C.
The filet mignon was superb! The mashed potatoes and peppercorn gravy were also to die for. Good service. Fantastic restaurant. We go here for date nights on occasion, I always get the steak.
(5)Ingrid K.
Love their Sunday omelette and Bloody Mary stations. My husband had their fish and chips and said it was very tasty. Can't wait to come back to try some of their other offerings.

Been here about three times. The place is large and is a mix of a Bar with TV's playing various sports. There is a seperate more formal dinning area that would be good for Families or people who want a bit more quiet. If you come in during the week in the early part of the day it is quiet enough you can sit anywhere. Each of the times I have been here I have had the good fortune to be waited on by Ben who is a great guy who I enjoy talking with. The first time I came in I had Fish N' Chips. The Meal was good fries were crisp fish tasted fresh not like it had been frozen. They have a good selection of Beer on Tap. My choice was Brooklyn Lager which I had tried elsewhere and like a lot. For desert I ordered Strawberry Shortcake and enjoyed it as well. When I told Ben my Server, it was my first visit he went and got Dermott who I beleive is the manager and so he came out and greeted me nice touch. Second visit had a Burger I think Bacon Cheeseburger. The roll was Different almost like a pretzel roll delicious again fries hot and crisp and again a Brooklyn Lager on tap. This visit I ordered the Chicken Casadilla and it is delicious. I am picky about my Guacamole and it is nice and fresh and not watery. If I had one wish it would be that they throw in more Sour Cream, Pico De Gallo, and Guacamole. I will come back to be certain and try the Beef Stew and the Steak Salad.

I've been coming to Grafton Street since it opened. I've never had a bad meal here. A great selection of drafts and cocktails compliment their entrée selection nicely. The atmosphere in the restaurant works equally well for intimate dates and groups of family and friends. Today I had the Guinness Beef Stew. Hearty chunks of braised beef in a thick stew with carrots and onions topped off with a dollop of mashed potatoes in the middle. There was a lot of beef cut into thick chunks that fell apart upon chewing, releasing a warm, savory flavor. The vegetables were numerous without being over powering. All in all, it was a very balanced and fulfilling meal. the waitstaff were friendly and attentive without being obnoxious. It's little wonder that when I can't decide where to go I end up at Grafton Street.
(5)Diana M.
They have a beautiful outdoor patio. Chelsea the waitress was wonderful. So we're the $5.00 burgers for Monday's.
(4)John G.
Nice pub fare in a nice atmosphere with nice staff. Fish and chips and prime rib were both delish. Very enjoyable. Oh yeah, My gf mentioned the potstickers: they didn't taste bad, they just had like no filling in them. Empty fried pieces of dough. Still enjoyed my main entree very much. Beef was quality and cooked right; stuffed twice baked potato was very satisfying to this potato head, and they let me change out the asparagus for green beans. I'd go back anytime.

**DON'T order a burger!! Second try at Grafton, equally disappointing. The first time, I came alone and ordered a burger at the bar. It was an overcooked hockey puck, even though I ordered it medium. Couple that with cold shoestring fries and overly dim bar with blaring music I swore I wouldn't come back. Then today, my boyfriend and I were in the area yelp-ing for dinner, and I couldnt help notice the high number of stars for this place. Maybe my past experience was because I came so soon after they first opened, I reasoned. So this time we sat in the dining room, and both ordered burgers - mainly because I wanted a steak, but I only like a filet and Grafton doesn't offer a filet :( In fact, the entire menu is quite limited. They make the burgers sound delicious, though. Chorizo burger with bacon?! Yes please. Lamb burger with goat cheese, bacon, and some kind of aioli? (I dont remember the aioli because it never came, but I digress), Yum. Alas, Once again, severly overcooked. This time, inedibly so. The lamb burger was like a hockey puck poured from concrete. dry concrete, very dry. His Chorizo burger was also overcooked, though he ordered it medium. I wasn't asked for a temp on the lamb, but the menu mentioned that it should come medium, as well. When I told the waitress about my inability to eat my "burger," she seemed unsure of whether I could order steamed shrimp instead, saying she would have to check. Well, dear, I certainly don't want them to try making me THIS again!, I thought. My BF decided to power through his overcooked meal, and I patiently waited for the shrimp. The saving grace keeping this review out of the one-star zone is that the manager did come over and try to explain that the chef said when lamb is cooked past medium, it gets tough. When I explained that I hadn't been asked how I wanted my lamb, he was very apologetic. So, they really do care - they just don't have the right skill behind the grill. The shrimp were bang on. I should've ordered them from the start! We will not, I'm afraid, be back to try the burgers again.

I've been not quite a frequent diner to Grafton Street, but I've been there a couple dozen times, usually for Sunday Brunch. I love their make your own Bloody Mary bar. On Friday, we went there, hoping for a great meal. After our experience, I don't think we'll be back. The waitress told us that they were out of the fish, which eliminated three choices on the menu, and reduced choices to 2 chicken dishes, or beef, salads, or crabcake. As I was not feeling well anyway, my companion and I decided that he'd get a meal at a drive thru and I'd go home to take care of myself. Our waitress was busy with other tables, but a gentleman, a manager, I believe, was walking by. He asked could he help us, and my companion explained that I'd really wanted a fish dish, and that I wasn't feeling well and he needed to get me home. The manager rather aggressively (I felt uncomfortable) attempted to fix the situation, saying several times he would fix things, and interrupting and cutting off my companion, who was speaking in a reasonable tone. When my companion explained I was in pain and he just wanted to get me home. the exchange continued, until my companion asked how much for the drinks and the manager, who seemed annoyed and irritated at us, finally let us go. Now, I understand he was just trying to fix the situation, but that sort of customer service and the aggressive tone and body language, made me feel uncomfortable. Furthermore, he never even addressed me (a woman) but directed all his attention to my companion (a man). I've enjoyed brunch and lunches here, but I'm not sure I'll be back.

We have been here twice. The food is pretty good, but the service continues to disappoint. Visit #1: Arrived early afternoon on Saturday or Sunday. We waited a few minutes for the hostess to show up, after being seated, waited another 3-5 minutes for the waiter to arrive. We both got the Fish & Chips and thought it was good. Service was slow, though. We saw two separate parties of two show up, wait and peak around corners to not find anyone to help them and then leave. Another lady waited for a waiter to come through and asked to be seated. After the lady said she had been waiting a while, the male waiter said he was in the kitchen and didn't see her. No apology was offered and the exchange was tense. Visit #2: Arrived for brunch on a Sunday. Was seated pretty quickly. We waited a solid 5 minutes to be greeted by the waitress. We had the Chesapeake Eggs Benedict (delicious) and Belgian Waffles (nothing to write home about). When we got our waters, we asked for the cinnamon bread. We were told that it was in the oven. Throughout the meal she kept telling us that the bread was in the oven. Over 45 minutes later when we were paying the check, still no bread. Clearly we were getting lied to ... which left a bad taste in our mouths. We are on the fence about returning ... the food is good, but the service is painful. It is a shame, and we hope it improves.

I came here with my family on Saturday on a whim, sort of a halfway point for all of us. We were beyond pleasantly surprised. We sat in the dinning area, not the bar. Four of the folks ordered steak and eggs, my nephew had the kids quesadilla and I had the lemon blueberry pancakes. The adults had a Guinness with late breakfast. The food service was great, we had warm zucchini bread while we waited for our meals to arrive. The food was amazing. Each person's steak came out exactly has requested, same with the eggs. Once the food came out I realized that I wanted some breakfast potatoes so I ordered them thinking it would be a while, but our server came back in just a few minutes with them. We loved it and will be back!

Decided to stop in last night, was in the mood for wings. When we arrived we asked for a table and were sat and the server came back and told us the dining room was closed and we had to sit at the bar. We moved and ordered some beer and then wings. We got the diablo flavor and they were really good, I would definitely order them again. I was with 1 other person and we ordered the shrimp mac and cheese as well (forgot to take a pic oops). That was pretty good but not sure if i would get again especially for $18. The atmosphere was nice and the service was decent. They have darts in the bar area and a bunch of tvs as well. I will be back and maybe give 5 stars if my future experiences were like last night
(4)Brian S.
Went here on a date and sat on the bar. service was okay, a little slow at first. Ordered the sausages wrapped in the puff pastry. They were good, the sausage had good flavor, the siracha ketchup was an interesting pairing for an irish bar, but was still decent. 3 stars because the pastry was burned. And not just a little bit, some parts were pretty black. Despite that I ate them and had a good time. Overall a decent place, probably better than a 3, that's worth going back to to reevaluate it.

I have eaten at Grafton Pub twice and been there for happy hour once, all of my experiences have been fantastic! For appetizer I recommend the BBQ pot stickers (I know it sounds odd, but it really is a unique and tasty appetizer. I can recommend with no reservation the rosemary infused lamb burger with Irish bacon for a lunchtime treat, it is an outstanding and savory monument to the dynamic of lamb. For dinner I had the bangers and mash and was truly blown away, the sausages used were traditional "Irish" sausages placed on a health serving of house made mash topped with caramelized onions and au jus. I eat bangers and mash at pretty much every Irish Pub I happen to visit, these are a strong contender for first place. Lastly the beer selection serves up the veritable pub experience with a wide selection of local and imported brews on draught. I may also recommend the house cocktail which my girlfriend adores aptly named "The Grafton Street".( It is delicious adult raspberry lemonade.) Food aside, there is a large separated bar room with an old world flourish, with quaint and comfortable multiple dinning rooms. The staff is very attentive, friendly, yet not overbearing. Lastly the outdoor patio is quite large and comfortable place to hang and have a few drinks when the weather is nice. Get a reservation on weekends if you plan on dining there, the place fills up quick!
(4)Brent B.
Good ribs. Not quite fall off the bone, but lots of meat. Mashed potatoes were slightly above average and their take on coleslaw was amazing. Will be back when in the area.
(4)Shannon G.
Food was good...we came during happy hour and got bar bites and beers. Would go back.
(4)Andrew N.
Service was what we would expect. Time to get food was within expectations. The seasoning on the fries was inconsistent. The Reuben had the chewiest corned beef I've ever had and it was a bit lost in the other ingredients. The chicken and avocado sandwich was good. My wife requested jalapeños and got three slices. No hurry to return.
(3)Darren T.
Great staff!! Good food!! I finally went here to eat after driving by this place many times. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The place looked clean and neat. I ordered a steak and it was juicy and delicious. It is a pub, so you know that they have good beer. My wife ordered a margarita and it tasted great, so she ordered more than one. The manager came by to greet us and mentioned that they have burger night as well as other themed nights. We felt welcome here and the food was good. We will be coming back to this place.
(4)J. Keith W.
Yummy. Good stews and soups. Great brownie and breads. Good mild sausage. Free dessert for first timers. Only down side is no cabbage or colcannon with the bangers and mash.
(4)Drake W.
Truly amazing food and beverages. Our new favorite restaurant! Great staff and a great menu. The Sunday brunch selection was top notch and my wife loved the mimosas. 10/10

Stopped into Grafton's on a slow Monday night. The outside looks fairly welcoming, with a nice touch of revolving doors. Once you enter, there stands a reservation counter where you may wait a couple of minutes before deciding to seat yourself in the bar room. The atmosphere was very contemporary, with great acoustics, and featured a friendly wait staff. We must have come shortly before a 30 min break, since we didn't see our waiter for a while. However, the wait staff was very attentive and not overbearing. Kudos. Now, the food is where I'll get a little critical. We tried the Fish and Chips and the Shrimp Mac and Cheese that evening. The Fish and Chips were great, but featured a slightly bland tartar sauce. The chips were great and not hard, dry, or brittle. The cod was fantastic with a crispy shell that didn't fall apart in your hands. Cheese lovers brace yourselves, the Shrimp Mac and Cheese will blow your expectations out of the water. Shrimp fans, you may be slightly disappointed with the 4 pieces of shrimp hidden under the abundance of cheese. Despite this, it was still delicious, even to the very last bite.

Enjoyed a delightful Mothers Day Brunch! The great display of food with a Great Bloody Mary Bar and delightful Dessert Bar! We will be back for a weeknight dinner visit soon
(5)E H.
Tonight made for my second appearance here and both times excellent food and service. I ordered the fish and chips while the boyfriend ordered the prime rib. Both dishes were spot on! The fish battered and fried to perfection. The prime rib flavorful and juicy. The only negative was the appetizer. We had one of those high school discount cards where you receive a free appetizer. We ordered the potstickers, which had the right amount of crunch but absolutely no taste. They were just bland fried pieces of dough. We will definitely go back in the future, but will perhaps give the wings a try.
(4)Ben R.
The food at Grafton's is horrible. We have been there three times and all each visit was worse than the last. My wife and son had a salad and made them sick. The ribs I ordered were two different cuts and way overcooked. Avoid this place like the plague! Unless you like diahrea.
(1)Flippitti N.
Came for lunch twice. Had the fish and chips once, and ordered from the breakfast menu the 2nd time. My guest had the salmon once and fish & chips the next time. All our meals were delicious. Salmon was moist and cooked perfectly. Fish and chips tasted fresh, crisp and perfectly seasoned. The plank fries tasted freshly cooked and I usually don't like fries but almost finished these. We also shared a creme brulee for dessert and although the top was a little too burnt for my taste, it was still delicious. Quiet atmosphere - there were only two other guests in the dining room when we arrived for lunch at 11:30 both times. A few others arrived by the time we left. This is a restaurant you can have a quiet conversation in without having to compete with loud music or clanging pots from an open kitchen. Our server was professional and efficient. Our order was taken quickly and the check arrived shortly after we asked for it. I would definitely return for the prime rib I keep hearing about.

Best Pub. Period.

I have been here twice and both times it was a good experience. Haven't had a full meal. but it's a great atmosphere to sit back and have drinks. They do have a DJ on the weekends which is pretty cool.
(4)Mike B.
I like their food a lot and have always had really goof service. Planning on having my daughter's graduation dinner here we have enjoyed it that much.

I met up with a friend for lunch. I was interested to read Neal E's review and wanted to try the Lost Rhino, Faceplant. We decided to sit in the bar at one of the many tables, it was Fri afternoon around 130p, so it was slow. Ryan was behind the bar and took care of us. Lynn had a Blue Moon, double orange. I had the Faceplant & found it to be a tad harsh and heavy and leaning toward the hoppy side. We shared the crab and lobster dip and chips, it was quite good. We each had the crab and seafood chowder, it was better than average. Too bad it was chilly and windy, otherwise we would have tried the patio. Plenty of parking, professional staff, good food and service. Over all a very good expereince and I will return to try another Lost Rhnio brew.
(4)Melissa K.
Love this place! Had my small wedding reception in the private room. Not only was the food amazing but the staff went above and beyond for my special day! Great food and Great Service!!
(5)Bbq S.
Found this place right off of interstate 66! Atmosphere typical Irish American pub! Waiter very friendly and helpful! Tuesday was $4 Irish beers! Ribeye 14 oZ little tough but good ! Mash ok . Wife had sea bass son had pot pie loved it! Nice place. Bill over $80
(5)Christine C.
Okay food. Okay service. Just okay. Had the nachos and the only hoppy beer that was on tap.
(3)Mark T.
My wife and I had an excellent meal, mine was Dubliner Fish & Chips, and hers crab cakes. Both were presented well and very good. We were seated quickly, and service was attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back!
(4)Jess N.
Just your average shopping plaza/center pub. Asked the young gentleman serving us if he recommended the North Carolina Pils and he replied it had a "Bud Light taste"..... Did not sell it for us. Opted for the Brooklyn Lager. Friends tried the leek soup which they said was delicious. Nachos hit the spot - enjoyed the dollop of guacamole on top. Enjoyed the outdoor seating before they kept urging us to go inside due to the impending rainstorm (which never came).

I've been into Grafton Street twice now since the opening. Grafton Street is the new restaurant in the space that used to house The Bungalow Alehouse. The first time I came in for lunch, I sat at the bar and had their version of fish & chips. The fish is served with an Aioli and malt vinegar. The "chips" are actually Frites. While the fish was hot, crispy, and tasty - the Frites were lukewarm. The second time I came in during the evening - again sat at the bar. I was in to sample their wings. I'd been told that they retained the wings from the Bungalow Alehouse - which I was hoping was the case - as I was a fan of both the Habanero and Three Mile Island wings. The Three Mile Island have been re-named "Diablo" wings. I ordered one of each - each order contains 10 wings - extra crispy - as I hate wings with soft, skin. I also ordered a pint of Faceplant IPA (Lost Rhino Brewing Co., Ashburn, VA): lostrhino.com/beers/face… The Diablo wings are coated with a spicy Diablo sauce - but by default the sauce is not served on the side. I love the spiciness of this sauce - and always order a side of it to dip the wings in. The wings come with a side of Blue Cheese and/or Ranch, and celery sticks. I was happy to find the wings were as delicious as usual - the same wings as before! The Diablo wings were not quite as well done as I would have liked, but still very good and the Diablo sauce is a kick ass sauce - combining really good flavor with some serious heat! Yummm!!! And the Habanero wings are a delicious intersection of sweet and heat! The Faceplant IPA was pretty good! Nice hoppy character! I had ordered the Ranger IPA - but they were out if it. The ambiance at Grafton Street is quite a bit more upscale than the previous restaurant - and the bar has been moved to follow one of the side and back walls - providing a lot more table space in the bar area. Pros: - Good craft beer selection on draft - from what I recall - the offerings they currently serve include: Faceplant IPA, Ranger IPA, Monumental IPA, Arrogant Bastard Ale, and quite a few others. - Wings are still the same delicious wings as what was served at the Bungalow Alehouse! - Nice ambiance! Cons: - They don't serve one of my favorite Ales that was carried by The Bunglow Alehouse - Raging Bitch IPA - No 20 oz Ale pint glasses like Bungalow had (except for Guinness) - The flat panel HD TVs on the wall behind the bar are to small - they should be at least a 55" flat panel HD TV - Frites were lukewarm - not hot!
(4)Susan P.
The food was delicious, the ambiance was upscale in the dining room, the server (Joshua) was meh. We had the beef and mushroom potstickers which were savory and perfect to start the meal. Our meals included: Shrimp Mac and Cheese, Andouille and Chicken Penne, Guinness Beef Stew, and "Dubliner" Fish and Chips. Everything was wonderful. The Shrimp Mac and Cheese was creamy, rich and a touch of sharpness. The beef in the Guinness Beef Stew was tender and fall apart delightful. The Andouille Penne was fabulously savory with more than a hint of spicy. And how can you go wrong with fish and chips? We finished dinner off with the Warm Godiva Chocolate Brownie - moist, decadent, and enough to share. While the meal was on the spendy side, it was worth every penny. ($11 to $25 for entrees, most in the $16 range) This was our first visit to Grafton Street Restaurant and Irish Pub, but we will surely return many times over. Hopefully our next server will be less flaky, snobbish, and on his own plan. The food was fantastic enough to overlook the poor service and the only reason I didn't give this establishment five stars. This is one of many places trying to compete in a saturated market, so if you enjoy it - tell your friends about this gem.
(4)Kimberly C.
This place is a "townie" attraction - if you went to high school in this area, you ARE going to bump into whomever is still around, or visiting. Guaranteed. It has also changed names/ownership a few times in its short life span. The bar is separated from the restaurant, and there is a decent sized outdoor patio, segregated by smoking/non smoking. The food is so-so; it is hit or miss. I have had a few things I like, and a few things I could get somewhere else that is better. It happens. The beer selection is pretty awesome, and it gets to be a busy little weekend hotspot for locals trying to stay close to home and get some music/drinks in. I don't find it to be a gem of any kind, but I return my business there enough to give it a pretty good
(3)William J.
Stopped here for dinner this evening, had the pleasure of meeting Ben and Jessica ! Wow. The service they provided was outstanding ! I'm a person who works in the customer service industry and these guys are top notch ! I ordered the bush mill steak and my girlfriend ordered the fish tacos , extremely delicious and cooked to near perfection ! We will definitely be visiting when we come to this area again ! Great food ! Outstanding service !!
(5)Ann P.
Oh the food is so good here! It's a very nice place and they're actually kid friendly!
(5)Heather M.
The food was very good! My husband had the prime rib and I had the Guinness Beef Stew. They have a large draft beer selection. I would have given it 5 stars but it is a little pricey.
(4)Lauren C.
This place has a nice outdoor patio and interesting pub decor. I would recommend stopping in for a beer-but not for a bite to eat. The buffalo wings are dry and chewy, the potatoes that come with the entrees are half real potatoes and have instant (yuck) and the service is slow at best. The beer and cocktail menu is decent, hence the two stars.
(2)Randy M.
On a busy Monday i found myself needing to burn an hour in the Atlas Walk area. I decided to stop by the bar at Grafton street for some food and a beer. Happy hour was already started. $3 for all draft beers except guiness and reduced price on selected apps and flatbreads. Monday is also their burger day, $5 burger. (a little more for cheese/bacon/mushrooms). The burgers are pressed fresh daily and you can tell. You also have a choice between shoe string fries and steak fries. The burger was outstanding for the price. Do yourself a favor and try their Monday burger special out.

While visiting my old hometown, the D.C. Metro Area, my cousin took me out to dinner near where she recently bought a brand new house in the quickly growing Gainesville area. Having just gotten off the golf course and driven over an hour through Beltway traffic, Grafton Street was the perfect place at that moment. We sat at a little table near the bar, so the noise level was just right to where we could catch up with our lives, without giving everyone else our story, too. This is pub food at its finest with a Shepard's pie to die for, if that floats your boat. I don't recall the beer pairing, so I'll just assume I went with my standard pint or two of Guiness (a meal all it's own). My cousin had whatever cut of steak was on the menu, since I was buying. She could always enjoy a bangers and mash when I'm not around. Her wine pairing was a California Pinot noir which I recommended, so Grafton gets the credit for stocking the good stuff from either Napa or Sonoma Valley. No one seemed to have a problem with me coming in khaki shorts and a golf shirt, although I wished I had at least changed to some longer pants to better complement my cousin in her sun dress. This is the kind of place that Tom Cruise probably envisioned for a shopping center pub, for the movie "Cocktail." I hope that doesn't insult Grafton Street's owner(s). I felt very comfortable there, and felt like the proprietor would stop by our table at any moment to throw back a pint with me!
(4)Allison B.
I keep trying to love this place and I just don't. The service is always, always, always, always bad! Ugh, it's honestly brutal!! The food however is good so my suggestion is sit at the bar to not have to deal with the horrendous wait staff. Sad!!
(2)Emily R.
We were looking for a place to go for my husband's birthday dinner - somewhere where we could stay in our casual outfits, have a great selection of beers, and get a burger or a steak (or possibly fish and chips). Grafton Street was the perfect fit! We opted to sit in the dining room, which was lovely, but I think I would choose the bar next time - it was much more lively and had plenty of seating. Grafton Street has a fantastic selection of drafts - Lost Rhino, Old Busthead, and Sierra Nevada, and a few Irish beers as well. We each got pints and split the sausage appetizer which was fantastic (as was the complimentary bread basket). He got the fish and chips and I got the beef stew, and both were winners. No real complaints at all - except, I would encourage them to choose different music for the dining room. Carrie Underwood doesn't exactly scream Irish Pub! We'll definitely be back, and will likely sit in the bar. It looks like they had great happy hour specials, and the desserts looked divine.

Excellent happy hour specials. At least 15 beers on tap... And not just your typical American light beers; an ample selection of IPAs, Lagers, and Ales. Oh yeah... And for only $3! Wine is $4 and well cocktails are $5. All bar food apps are also $6. Great atmosphere, not loud, and very friendly bartenders! A must stop if in Gainesville.

Stopped here before a concert at jiffy lube live. Very nice bar area. Good beer selection. The chicken avocado sandwich was delicious!

Absolutely gorgeous and cozy environment. The decor was a pleasant surprise as I was expecting something more of a rustic and small but Grafton's will not disappoint if you're looking for an exquisite but affordable place to hang out, have beer and a good meal. Staff is professional and polite and makes you feel so welcome! Plenty of parking and easily accessible from 66. Many beers on tap with some provided by local breweries. The food is extremely tasty with heathy portions. I ordered the bangers and mash and was blown away at the flavor and presentation. Our server explained that the bangers were imported from Ireland! Soooooooooo good! Beautifully done and would definitely come back! If you love classically done Irish food with a stylish twist then you need to check out Graftons. You won't be disappointed! Well-done!

So happy to find this place so close! Finally- a moderately priced, non-chain restaurant with heart! We stopped by here on our way home and were very pleasantly surprised at the great service and excellent food. We were almost scared away by the exterior- it looked a little too upscale for us (traveling clothes and with 2 babies in tow), but we went in anyway for the great beer selection. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and said, "we love kids!" When I asked if we were ok to eat there. I thought the menu was perfect- not too big or small and a great price range, even a kids menu. I guess if you are used to diners and the Bungalo you might not be used to this kind of menu, but my guess is they'll have a seasonal rotation or specials to keep it fresh- much rather have this menu done well than a huge menu dine poorly. We had the calamari and short rib appetizers, kids fish & chips and pizza, andouille pasta and lobster roll. Everything came out in perfect timing and at the perfect temperature. The lobster rolls were the best I've had in the area, including at the Maine lobster roll place in dc by the Verizon center. So much fresh lobster and perfect seasoning, soft roll. They said it was a new recipe, so they are obviously tweaking their menu and trying to get everything right. They take to heart every review- smart manager. We also got to try the brownie and tiramisu- great desserts! Fresh and flavorful- actually, that describes the whole menu. Did I mention the lobster roll was awesome? They are trying to work out a few bugs with decor- some builders plastic up and some remnants of the other restaurants in the form of holes in the walls where old fixtures used to be (i only saw this in the bathroom- and it will be hard for them to fix without ripping out the entire bathroom and starting over) but they seem to be a work in progress- love the bar area and outdoor seating- will be great for summer. I'm curious if the people who said it didn't look Irish have ever been to Ireland. . . Maybe they think you have to have the walls painted green and orange like most of the horrible Irish restaurants in this country. I loved the photos on the wall and decor, but I agree, the music could be better. Ix-nay on the American pop, eh? Or maybe that's what they listen to in Ireland now. . . In any case, I'm sure the music is not an easy thing to fix, so I plan to be patient! This place is going to be great because they care. I imagine with that bar, they are going to become a great after work place to meet. Thanks for a fun night and great food, GS!

Fish and chips- aoili is awesome, i could of just ordered fries and aoili and i'd be a happy camper, but i'm an oddball (Canadian) who loves mayo with her fries. The fish was good, crispy, not the best ever, but very good, found it a bit oily for me. 8/10 Ham and Andouille pizza- very smokey, the crust was nice and had that yeasty flavor i enjoy, a bit spicy, but definitely great flavor combo with the caramelized onions. 8/10 Short rib and mushroom potstickers- a bit too crunchy, the beef wasn't super tender, kind of dry and the mushroom flavor was kind of nonexistent, however the tomato sauce was perfectly spicy and definitely a neat twist, so maybe 6/10. The atmosphere was great, very large place, so many people asked us if we wanted anything while we were waiting, definitely great customer service.
(4)Hap P.
I tried the Cuban sandwich and thought it was great. We ate outside and the atmosphere was good. Matt and Greg stopped by the table and told us more about the place and the new drinks that are coming soon. If you haven't tried it, come soon. It's great

Why had I not heard of this place before? This Irish restaurant and pub was hopping on a Thursday night. It is important to note that the bar/pub part is separate from the dining area, so the live music doesn't interfere with dining room conversation. We were greeted by a fine host who took our name and informed us that our wait would be approximately 15 minutes. He said we could wait in the bar so we did. We were entertained by live music while waiting and then seated in the dining room when our table was ready. We experienced a superbly friendly and professional staff and two great Irish dishes - Guinness Stew and Bangers and Mash. Additionally, since it was our first time dining there we received a complimentary bread pudding, which was phenomenal by the way. We definitely look forward to going back there. Lastly, if you don't prefer Irish brews, you will be happy to note they have IPAs, American ales and local craft brews - all on draft.

I am so happy to report that this location finally has a great restaurant. The food was delicious. Among our party of 6 we had a little of everything off the menu and everyone was happy. The ambiance is comfortable yet elegant. The management is fantastic. Keep it up. I will definitely be back
(5)Sarah T.
Came for dinner a few weekends ago. Had a waitress named Hailey and she was excellent. She was very attentive and thorough and always had a smile on her face. Made the experience that much better and I will be sure to ask for her in the future. The food was delicious and the overall setting of the restaurant is very nice. Will definitely being eating here again and have already recommended it to many friends.
(5)Daniel K.
I'm rounding down, I'd probably say it's more of a 3.5. The food was actually quite tasty. The people working there are kind of flaky and just wander off or simply aren't present. The bar area is nice and it sort of turns into a club type place on weekend nights (really loud). The beer selection was pretty paltry for an area with plenty of space. With so much craft brew out there, if you're going to do the "Pub" act, you need to have a solid selection of stuff IMO.

Pictures on my Fauquier Foodie FB Page plus other reviews of restaurants in the area. facebook.com/groups/3686… So we were going to try one of the chain restaurants near Potomac Meals either Cheesecake Factory or Bobby Flay's burger Palace however, everything was so busy, wait lists so long, we did not think we would enjoy a meal in either of those places given the rush that was on so, we decided on the drive back to Warrenton and to stop off at Gainesville, have a late lunch before watching a movie. On going over reviews online Grafton Street pub and restaurant came up. I was a little unsure because I have kids and did not want a noisy pub bar atmosphere however, it was near the movie theater and was not a chain. On arrival around 2:00 pm we noticed that the bar was separate from the dining rooms and noticed the place had a dozen people in the bar area and just a few in the dining room. We were shown to a table by the window which, was decorated with fall decs and lights, and our drinks order taken along with glasses on the table immediately filled up with water. The decor inside was well done for a modern building, they have old books, white cloth tablecloths, cloth napkins (a love of mine), old barn doors, and Irish photos on the wall with some nice little vases and fall decorations and a beautiful unique china cabinet. As it was just after lunch we were given the weekend brunch menu. There were several American & Irish/British breakfast favorites to choose from as well as a few lunch plates including fish & chips, beef stew, bangers and mash all pub favorites. The kids had a separate menu which, was pretty varied they could have a breakfast or the standard chicken strips. The kids had the normal chicken strips with fries, my husband ordered the Biscuits with Sausage Gravy & Potatoes with a side of American bacon. I was happy to see a full Irish Breakfast and since British or Irish bacon is not easy to come by here, I decided a good British/Irish full breakfast was in order. The kids food was brought out first as they were complaining they were hungry, which, was good of them, they both enjoyed it. Husband enjoyed his Biscuits with Gravy and my Irish breakfast was totally authentic and just like from my Native England which included real Irish bacon, baked beans, black pudding, mushrooms, grilled tomato and eggs with toast. Wait staff were attentive, the restaurant is a step above a chain restaurant, pretty nice decor and the toilets had granite sinks and little candles lit a nice touch I thought. What I enjoyed most was it was not super busy like many of the chains and other restaurants. The breakfast and lunch plates run form $9 to about $15. They have a great bar with a great selection of Irish beers and a decent wine list. They had a room in the back and can hold private functions and reading reviews they seem to do a great job at that. We really did enjoy this place I would go back for another Irish breakfast alone. I would like to go back and try the lunch and dinner menus they seem to have some good crab cakes and other fish items. So if in Gainesville shopping or watching a movie I would skip the chains and try out this place which, is fine if you have a family and it was a good idea to have the dining area separate from the pub

My friend from Fauquier county took me here and it is really nice! The service was friendly, the waiter was excellent, and the food was good. I really liked everything about it and hope to go back again the next time I am nearby.

After spending an enjoyable afternoon in Leesburg this past Friday touring Oatlands Plantation, we stopped here for the first time on the way home for a late lunch/early dinner. Since it was an odd hour (around 3:30 p.m.), the place was fairly empty. We stood around at the reception area for a full 15 minutes, but were finally acknowledged & advised to take a seat wherever we liked in the bar area. All tables (& chairs & banquettes) are bar-high, so one does have to be a bit nimble to climb aboard. It officially being "Happy Hour", hubby ordered a Yuengling ale special ($3.00), while I opted for a Poet's Oatmeal Stout ($6.00). Both were excellent as expected. For our entrees, we both ordered the "Fish & Chips" ($15.00 ea.). For $15.00, the "fish" portion of our meals was a little skimpy. Think along the lines of two fish-stick-size pieces of Cod. Fish was fresh, moist, & thick-cut, but the batter completely dropped off at the first fork touch. The fries, on the other hand, were exceptional! Narrower than shoestrings, they were somewhere between julienne & matchsticks - hot, crisp, & pale golden. Lovely. Accompanying the meals were little cups of a cross between tartar sauce & aioli, as well as ketchup. Malt vinegar was served in a tiny little glass pitcher, which was unfortunate since unlike the usual sprinkle bottles, one had to carefully pour the vinegar over, which was nearly impossible to do properly. Service was a bit too attentive. To the point where we started playing a game as to guessing how many minutes would pass before our server popped up again to ask how we were doing. No more than 5 minutes ever passed. Bill after tax but before tip came to $41.34. Bottom line: All in all, not a bad spot, but for what we received we've had better; & for less. We wouldn't shy away from stopping in here again when in the area, but wouldn't necessarily search it out on its own. (Oh - one more note: While we didn't have wine, another customer at an adjoining table did, & the pour was generous - like a 1/2 glass.)

We decided to try Grafton Street for dinner on our way home from work. It was a great night to sit outside. The fact that there was no wait should have been an indication. The waiter Steve seemed overwhelmed. When I asked if there was a more extensive drink menu he seemed put out, as though that was a stupid question. I ordered a Cosmo it was an 8.50 glass of lemonade. There was only 4 things on the menu that was Irish which made me worry about the rest of the menu. We decided not to take a chance and went to BJs for a real Cosmo and dinner I knew would be good. Oh and it took the waiter so long to pick up my credit card, I asked the hostess to run my card. Can't see going back....

My brother and I both got the steak and cheese let me just say, it was HORRIBLE!!!! Meat was crunchy, bread was stale, and the cheese was soggy! I will not be returning soon!!
(1)Morgan W.
My fiance and I went here last night, hoping for Irish fare. Unfortunately, though the food was good (not great), there were maybe two Irish things on the menu. If you're looking for Irish food, better look elsewhere. The service was okay. There was one waitress giving everyone bread and water to everyone and she was very sweet and deserve commendation. Our server however was MIA a majority of the time and when he came to give us our check, he smelled like cigarettes. Having both worked in the restaurant industry previously, this left a bad taste in our mouths. Overall, this place is decent and we may go back eventually, but it will probably be after a while.
(3)Walter J.
Great local pub. Very nice atmosphere for drinks and appetizers. Good steaks and specials . The bartenders are very professional.
(5)Ross M.
Good food and good people. It's an Irish Pub, so I've only been here to drink and eat to watch some kind of sporting event. The prices are reasonable, and the burgers are great. I recommend the G Street with shoestring fries. I've met several of the bar tenders here, and they are all very nice. Recommended if you are in the area and looking for a nice place to relax, enjoy a pint, and have some tasty food to go with it. They also have a nice outdoor seating area, which comes in handy when you need a break from the inside. The Shell gas station down the street has a cigar room in it, if you are looking.
(4)Sunny R.
We got there around 7pm on a Friday and were lucky to get a table. It's a pretty crowded place on Fridays, FYI. They have a nice menu selection and have nice full bar. All of the 4 drinks we had were awesome. I tried their IPAs on rotation and they were pretty good. Others had the Strawberry Cosmo and Royal Gin which were rated well by our friends. The spinach dip was excellent, but the chips were a bit too salty. The lobster guacamole was excellent. Dinner was pretty good, I had the grilled salmon. However, they overcooked it a bit. Other than that, it was a our first time there and a pretty decent experience. We'll be back!
(4)Kelly H.
I'm really happy with Grafton Street and it seems to be our go-to place in the spring/summer months for happy hour since it is never really packed, has a great outdoor seating area and the happy hour prices are pretty reasonable. If you are looking to come here for authentic Irish food or a big filling dinner, this might not be your place. The appetizers are good (my favorite is their hummus), sandwiches and flat breads taste great, and even their salads are amazing, but there isn't much of a variety past that. Great happy hour spot though!
(4)Theo P.
Very clean and "old world" style. HD TVs so you can watch your favorite sporting event while drinking a few cold ones. I didn't eat but I would sure like to try the menu. Large outdoor patio. They are starting to build their night life, on Wednesdays they Have Trivia Kings and on Saturdays they have a DJ playing anything from Journey to today's hits... You might even catch a bridal party coming here after the reception and that always make for a great time. I will be a regular here. Great Service also !!
(4)Chris G.
Decent happy hour and food is good too. I usually go with the Pizza or the Club sandwich. Good spot for middle aged people to go and get a glass of wine or a stiff drink and not have to feel like a ton of young kids are in there trying to get trashed.
(4)JusSumMom W.
Wow...best word I can use to describe it. Great food and great service. We had a party of 30+ for my daughters dedication and they had everything perfect. Dorean, Justin, and Heather made sure everything went perfectly. We scheduled last minute since I was unable to prepare and cook due to illness. I am a perfectionist with high standards and they did a fabulous job feeding such a large crowd. There was never an empty cup or dirty dish lying around. Oh...and the food...AMAZING!! They were also very kid friendly...who knew!
(5)Ken V.
Stopped by for Sunday lunch. Ordered Bloody Mary and Caipirinha. please don't-both were sent back. Over priced, poor service. and even worse food.
(1)John D.
Brought the family here for dinner recently and really enjoyed it. it's slightly upscale, but I didn't feel out of place in jeans (and the wait staff is wearing shirts with a heineken logo). Food was very good, much better than most other local restaurants. If you are a fan of the great american restaurant group of restaurants you'll enjoy Grafton Street (even though it's a different company, just the same kind of style). We were there on a Tuesday which is Irish night, so we tried the beef stew, corn beef and cabbage, as well as ribs and the fish of the day. The fish was outstanding - mahi mahi in a panceta tomato creme sauce. The beer selection is really good as well (highly recommend the face plant IPA). Service was quick and friendly and we never felt rushed. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. We'll definitely be back. I really want to try the Sunday brunch.
(4)Islandroots I.
Great place to come and enjoy the night. Manager really makes sure your taken care of. Wait staff is personal and that's key.
(5)F U.
Great ambiance. Awesome beer selection: they serve Kilkenny! Ample outdoor patio. Great food.
(4)Cindy W.
It seems rare now to find great service AND great food, but this place has both! Went there with my cousin and her 3 young kids. We sat outside as it was a nice evening. Kids enjoyed playing in the courtyard while we waited for our food. Starting with the bread.... both the white and zucchini bread were delicious (and can I say, the butter was SOFT! I hate hard butter - impossible to spread!) We got the short rib potstickers with BBQ sauce and they were delicious, as were the bangers and mash. My cousin doesn't normally like sausages but she said these were so light and flavorful, she loved them! The service was very attentive but not annoyingly so. This place deserves the 5 stars I gave it and I'm looking forward to coming back!
(5)Mike B.
The food is fantastic, the service better and the staff is friendly and they have a good time with you (instead of other stuffy places I've been). Definitely will be back there!
(4)Ja R.
Love this place.. Wonderful to find a place you can smoke cigar and have a drink..
(5)Frank W.
My girlfriend and I visited here recently on a Friday evening and found the place to be much improved over the Bungalow Alehouse which resided at this location before (and wasn't very good). We arrived after our friends, and it was pretty much standing room only for the first hour or two we were there. The service was top-notch and the prices decent -- two issues we definitely had with the Alehouse previously. My girlfriend had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon and she was very pleased. I had the Fish & Chips and found both to be very good. The beer selection was pretty good as well. They had my favorite on tap, Starr Hill's Northern Lights IPA. They seem to feature a lot of local breweries (Lost Rhino in Ashburn and Starr Hill near Charlottesville, among others) so that's always a plus in my book. We will be going there again, soon!
(5)Matt H.
We went here at noon on a Sunday and there were very few people in the restaurant. We were the only table (of 5) in our room. The service was extremely slow. We ordered our food and it took a long time to come out. My son ordered the Breakfast Burger and the egg on the burger was overcooked to the point it was brown and the edges were burnt and the burger was missing the bacon. We sent the burger back and it came back out with the bacon, but the egg was still over cooked. Not quite as bad, but still brown. A fried egg should never be brown. The manager who brought the burger back out didn't even apologize. I got the Greens Salad and asked for grilled chicken. The salad was ok, but either there was no vinaigrette on it or there was so little you couldn't taste it. My Grandmother got the same salad and she said the same thing about the lack of dressing. The grilled chicken was cold. If a person asks for grilled chicken on a salad, why on Earth would you assume they would want that chicken to be cold??? My youngest son got just a kid's cheeseburger and he didn't eat much of it because it was dry. My wife liked her California Chicken Sandwich. Overall, this place needs people in kitchen who know how to cook and who are able to turn food out a lot faster. 90 minutes for lunch is ridiculous, especially when the restaurant is nearly empty, and the food wasn't even cooked properly and it didn't taste good. We won't be coming back here.
(1)A K.
I gave this place three times and all three times, disappointment. Nothing fancy, but a burger and fries. In my opinion, Five Guys burger way better. Waiter reeked of cigarette smoke, and flies were every way. Wish this town would get it together.
(2)Kevin M.
Started the evening planning to go to BJ's brewhouse but there was an hour wait. So then we ventured to Grafton Street and thank goodness we did. We were able to get a seat right a way, the service was excellent, and my the 14 oz NY strip was a perfect medium rare and was soft as butter. Perfect. To top everything off we ordered the creme brûlée with blueberries, which included 4 blueberries. Yes, a measly 4 blueberries. For $6.50 you coul at least give me 6 and a half blueberries. The creme brûlée still tasted delicious and overall 5 stars is still deserved.
(5)Tina Z.
Comfortable atmosphere, we went for Easter brunch and returned for Mother's Day . I really do believe they out did themselves. They had a vast selection of breakfast items as well as dinner. The Prime Rib is always my favorite. Plenty of sides and pastries. Just as we were stuffed to the brim the waitress brought a big platter of deserts and said they were all for us. (We were too full so we wrapped them to go). It's nice to have a restaurant that's not a chain restaurant in the neighborhood. You can tell that the servers really care about your experience.
(5)Kathy T.
Not a good first impression - went to Grafton Street at 1:30pm on a Sunday afternoon. It was not too busy except for ~ 15 people at a table in the bar. We were originally in the bar but realized after 10 minutes of waiting without menus or a server that the bartender was manning all tables at the bar. We moved in to the restaurant where we put in our drink and lunch order. We waited another 25 minutes with just water!! The bar was backed up -- presumably since the bartender was also a server -- meanwhile there were two other servers hanging out at the front with the hostess. The kitchen was backed up and they couldn't even get our appetizer out. The Caipirinha drinks were very good and the food was pretty good but it wasn't really worth the wait... We spoke with the manager, Greg, who tried to defend the poor service rather than apologize and try to make it right. I wonder if this place will make it if they can't handle ~35 people in their entire restuarant. 1.5 hours for lunch!!??!! Not sure we will go back...
(1)Jeff F.
Wow.....A fantastic dining experience! My wife and I took her parents there for their 45th anniversary dinner this evening . We had already read good things about the restaurant so we're anxious to give it a try. We made reservations for 7pm and we were promptly seated when we arrived a few minutes before 7pm. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and the 2 steaks that we ordered were fantastic. I love steak and I'm glad I got the opportunity to try both the Black Angus Rib Eye and New York Strip. Both of which were cooked exactly as ordered and tasted phenomenal! They are easily the best steaks in Gainesville and could give the finer Steakhouses a run for their money. Our server, the manager, and the owner himself made a great impression on us. Grafton Street is a superb new restaurant and if you don't give it a try, you're only cheating yourself.
(5)Kenneth P.
Visited here opening weekend for appetizers and drinks. We sat at the bar, which was full but not too crowded. Things picked up as it got later and it became standing room only after about 9p or so. They have remodeled to be what I call "American Irish Pub" theme, and its well done and looks nice. Staff was friendly, attentive, dressed in button shirts and ties. Bartender was pleasant and kept our drinks full promptly. Beers on tap are a nice selection of craft, including several local breweries. Bottles of macro where available and seemed to be popular with a few youngest drinkers among the crowd. Food was great, though we only tried appetizers. We had Buffalo Wings, Short Rib & Shiitake Dumplings, and Chef's soup, Potato Leak. All of it was delicious, and well presented, and timely prepared. The menu is mostly American a hint of Irish influence, like the Fish and Chips. The steak selection looks great, I'm anxious to try a meal. Overall I'm excited for Grafton Street, it certainly has promise and left a great impression on us. It's clear they are going for a more upscale atmosphere, a very welcome change from the previous tenants at this address!
(5)Sam C.
Agreed with the previous review, Gainesville does need more restaurants like this! Meaning, a place that has great food with a relaxing, upscale atmosphere...and not a chain. We took a client there for drinks and dinner on 1/31/13 and we all enjoyed the tex-mex apps, steak and salads. Great selection of local beers and wine too. Very excited to have a restaurant like this open locally.
(5)Lyndsi M.
With good reviews on yelp my friends and I decided to try this restaurant. The service was terrible from the hostess onward. The waitress was rude and incompetent. She was MIA for most of the evening. We had to finally ask the hostess if she could find our waitress for us. The food was mediocre at best. Will not be returning ever.
(1)Ayodele M.
I had my graduation dinner here. My family was seated right away without reservations. The server was very friendly and our food was prepared in no time. There were about 10 people at the table and no one had to wait on their food. The manager came out to greet my family and to congratulate me. It was a wonderful night! I would definitely go back!
(5)Karen F.
Had a wonderful meal with my husband and daughter. My husband (really picky about his crabcakes) said they were perfect (he NEVER says that!). My New York Strip w/gorgonzola butter was prepared medium rare and was very very good. Our daughter loved the fish n chips. The craft beer selection is great, love the interesting and beautiful seasonal cocktails, and the staff was welcoming and attentive. Oh! The vanilla bean creme brulee was fantastic! Definitely give Grafton Street a try, it might become your new favorite.
(5)Erin G.
Stopped in here late, midweek. In the area, it is hard to find a non-chain restaurant so it was a bonus to find an irish pub. By the time we made it in, the kitchen was already closed but our server, Scott was awesome. He found us some late night fare in the kitchen so we did not have to go in search of another place. Good, diverse selections of beers with some seasonals. Had the ocktoberfest and pumpkin ale which were both decent. I am all about good atmosphere and customer service and this place has my thumbs up. The staff here were great, Scott went over and above in serving us and John from Kilkenny behind the bar was friendly and engaging. Would be my 'local' if I live closer. Maith Thu!

My friend and I took our three children here for lunch today. We were hoping to really like Grafton St as a replacement for our usual spot, UNOs, which has since closed. We were not disappointed and will be looking forward to future visits. We split the calamari, it had a lemon aioli which was fine but I would have liked a marinara or cocktail sauce also. (Not a mayo fan) kids had the usual kid fare of pizza and chicken tenders which were a step above the standard. Pizza looked really good and the chicken tenders and fries were piping hot and real chicken. I had the wedge salad which was huge and my friend had the short rib and shiitake dumplings., which she said were good. All around excellent food at good prices. Will definitely be returning.
(3)D R.
Great atmosphere, great food and great beer selections. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Finally a good dining experience in addition to Bonefish in Gainesville. A huge improvement to the restaurants that were here in the past!
(5)William C.
First time here for dinner on a Friday evening, Card&lobster guac was good but light on the crab & lobster, still good. Fish & Chips best I have had in the area by far but not a fan of the shoe string fries that just my personal taste. My wife had a NY steak and it was cooked perfect all the way through. She also had a strawberry Cosmo but the forgot the liqour. Service is friendly but slow, both waitress in the bar appear more concerned with their hair than the guests. Manager was a friendly guy actually Irish and not a plastic paddy( my great great grand father is Irish, ur not)
(4)John P.
Went here for New Year's Eve dinner. This is our second time here for dinner. While we were not thrilled with our first experience, we decided to give it another try. First annoying thing is that they had a limited menu for the night. It would have been nice if they posted this on their web site so that customers could decide if they wanted to come in at all. No vegetarian, healthy main course options. Service was poor. Waitress not friendly, seemed distracted. It took her about 20 minutes to clear our used plates. Did not check in with us after receiving our order. Had to flag her down for items we needed. Other wait staff brought various items, like appetizers, salads, etc. one server was in such a rush, she hit my friend's wine glass with a plate and almost knocked it over. So annoying. Lobster guacamole was bland, did not taste fresh and was overpriced. In fact, all of our meals were bland, mediocre and totally overpriced. We will not return here. We felt irritated that we wasted $70 for 2 drinks and 2 dinners. Another restaurant fail for gainesville.
(2)Tara C.
We went on our recent "big" snow night, so were lucky- it was practically empty. Nice atmosphere, not super fancy or super casual, but w/ our rowdy boys I was kinda glad it wasn't crowded:). Brought out basket of bread after we ordered that was decent, the zucchini bread was esp yummy. Started w/ spinach artichoke dip, cheesy generous portion w/ plenty of crusty bread. They were smart enough to bring our kids meal out when they were ready & ours followed soon after. No extra charge to sub mash pot for fries in kids meals. We both got the tuna salad, very tasty. The dressing was tasty & veggies & fish tasted fresh, could've had a little more for the $$, like maybe some nuts or more veggies. No dessert for us this time, but i was tempted. Decent selection of beer. Waiter was attentive & friendly. Different special for every day of the week on chalkboard. As I said if you have rowdy kids, maybe better for date night:)
(4)Mac M.
My girlfriend and I have been here several times in the past year, and my goodness! the service and food has gotten better and better! The staff is professional and attentive, bartenders are great, and food has been wonderful! This place is a great alternative to Bar Louie down the street. I highly recommend it!
(4)Bjorn G.
Awesome food, awesome service. Very accommodating to our small children. First time guests get a fee dessert??!?!?? Definitely come back here.
(5)Brenda B.
My husband and I had dinner at Grafton Street today and the food was terrific. We ordered the Cowboy steak and it was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. It was truly one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. So glad we decided to try this restaurant vice going to Ruth Chris as this is much closer to home and the steak was better than Ruth Chris in my opinion. Excellent food, drinks and service. I plan to take my daughter and her family when they arrive Memorial Day weekend.

I live and work in Gainesville and my friends and I LOVE this place. I visit at least once a week. It's awesome!!

I visited Grafton Street on their opening night. Other places I have been are chaotic on their opening night. The whole evening, from being seated, drink and food orders as well as the meal itself was flawless. And let me tell you, the crab cake dish with asparagus was to die for! Others at my table had the wings, burgers and one even had the pizza. They all loved their food. The atmosphere is upscale and was very much needed in the Gainesville area. I recommend anyone go there, even to grab a quick drink. The bar area is spectacular! We also had the owner come by our table ensuring our needs were met. They were exceeded! I WILL be back soon!!!

This place is a great place to meet friends and have a great dinner. They are also involved with the community. Sponsoring softball teams. Great place with great people.

The food was delicious and the place looks great! The staff was very friendly and they bar has some very creative drinks to go along with tasty new menu. Glad to have a new place in the area for lunch, dinner and or drinks.

As others have commented, limited menu and high prices for what you get in terms of quantity and quality. Frozen fries a la Mickey D's...c'mon! Fish and Chips at Glory Days is better and much cheaper. Crab cakes are mediocre. Service is sub-par...couldn't get a soda refill until I had finished my meal because waitress was nowhere in site with only a few guests on an early Sunday night. At this price point, I'll stick with the GAR chain. Too bad.

Yum, yum ,yum... Just what this area has been needing. We started with the braised short rib and shiitake dumplings. Fresh pasta dumplings, light but flavorful. Then fresh greens salad with walnuts, goat cheese, and dried cranberries tossed in a champagne vinaigrette. Main course was a grilled hangar steak with red wine demi glaze and Gorgonzola butter, garlic whipped potatoes, and roasted herbed tomato. Hubbie got a grilled New York strip equally as divine:). Lastly we finished the meal off with a vanilla bean creme brûlée and a Godiva chocolate brownie a la mode. Service was spectacular...attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning soon!

I started to go with three stars but the customer service kept it at a 4. I met a friend here for dinner. I ordered an appetizer of Habanero BBQ wings and asked they be cooked crispy. It took awhile for them to come out but I wasn't in a hurry so no problems. They were NOT crispy as requested. The flavor of the sauce was very good. I'm not sure why cooks have a problem fulfilling the crispy request. The bread that came out was very tasty and we had to ask what it was. It's a recipe from the cooks Mom. Zucchini bread. I ordered the Baby Back Ribs which comes with Baked Beans and Shoe String Fries. The sides were very good. The ribs had a lot of meat on them but it was overcooked and dried out. Won't order them again. I should have sent it back and I only ate a portion of it. My friend ordered a Rib Eye very rare with a blackened coating. He said they did a good job with that. Our iced teas were never empty. But what really stands out here was the service. Several stepped in to assist with refills and such and everyone seemed to be enjoying their work. It takes good management to make this happen. When we were done it seemed our server forgot about us and never brought us our check. We were enjoying sitting and talking so no big deal. I finally got his attention and he told us they do not bring the checks out until the customer asks so they can sit and enjoy talking if they so desire. Very nice. The ribs didn't stand out at all but overall a good experience here. One thing I did notice was that they do NOT play their background music too loud like most restaurants which was a bonus. There is a bar but it's separate enough to not be an issue noise wise.

Instantly my favorite place to drink and hangout in Manassas/Bristow/Gainesville area. Great beer selection, and delicious appetizer/bar food menu. Looking forward to trying this place out for dinner...until then, all my Happy Hours are happening at Grafton Street

Thoroughly enjoyed the bar experience. Great food, drinks, and friendly staff!!

My husband and I went on our first date night without kids (well not including our month old son) in about 6 months. While it would have been magical to go for Valentine's Day unfortunately daycare wasn't hosting their Parent's Night Out until the following evening. I was a little bummed because most establishments have special drinks and menus planned to accommodate the "romance" on Valentine's Day and then are back to normal the next night. Surprisingly this was NOT the case at Grafton Street. After a lot of research I really wanted to try this new place mostly because it as close to home and was promising (via the article in Bristow Beat) an experience I would get in or around the city. My husband went inside to "put our name on the list" while I parked the car, but right away called me to come in as they were seating us. When I walked in they took me to the table (not even needing to ask where my husband was seated I guess not many people were walking in with an infant in a carseat) which was a smaller table in the second dining room that was situated in an alcove made by the doors which offered some privacy that was much appreciated. The acoustics of the restaurant were great, we were in a room with a larger group of people with kids and didn't hear any of their conversation! The gentleman that seated us was passing out roses to the women in the restaurant and wishing us/them a Happy Valentine's Weekend - I mean are you kidding there was ROMANCE in this restaurant AFTER Valentine's? Count me in EVERY year! I was so amazed by the ambiance in the entire restaurant and really felt like I was in the city at one of their high end restaurants all in Gainesville. I was impressed and amazed and in love a little. Our server was very prompt to take our drink order and made an amazing recommendation for a cocktail, Caiparinha Revisited, I would highly recommend this drink to anyone that like citrusy drinks! We had the Calamari and a side salad to start with and both were amazing. The calamari had an amazing lemon-thyme aioli which was a little spicy but perfectly balanced. The side salad was my favorite thing, a goat cheese, walnut, and cranberry salad that just sang. Our meals were perfect as well. I got the ribeye with the mashed potatoes and gorgonzola butter and the husband got the NY strip with the vegetable medley (which happened to be asparagus) and the red wine demi-glaze. Again, amazing. I just loved every note of the meal. The steaks were perfectly cooked, so much so that my husband was questioning his medium rare steak. I had to explain to him that he was in fact getting it medium rare and for once the restaurant wasn't overcooking his steak to a medium. Dessert was a perfect end to the meal. My husband got the chocolate brownie and I got the vanilla bean creme brûlée. The brownie is one of those desserts that is so rich you may want to share but end up eating it all anyway...I am not a chocolate person so it was a little much for my liking but the creme brûlée was beyond fantastic. Perfectly cooked and not grainy like most other restaurants I have been to. Not only were the staff hospitable and courteous but the other patrons were friendly as well. The large group with kids came over on their way out to say hi (the kids were looking at my son throughout the meal as he was looking around) then a father out on a date with his daughter came by on their way out as well. I felt like this is a place where people go to make friends because we are all living in this area as well. I will definitely be back!

I start off by saying it is a very nice place! I will not agree that the food and service is great. I went with a group of friends and family for dinner on a Saturday night and the place was half full. We ordered some appetizers and they were just ok. We all ordered a dinner and were very dissatisfied with the quality of the food. My pork chop was so over cooked that it was burned on one side and the sweet potato hash was discusting, my wife's ribeye steak was very small for a $25 steak and grisly, the fish n chips where good, the shrimp salad was plain tasting and only had 3 shrimps for I think $15 or so, I can go on but I don't want to sound like a complainer. I will go back and give them a second try to see if thing have gotten better. I also want to say the price point is to high for the portions you get.
(1)Andrea F.
The food was not up to par with the pricing. The wings tasted as if they were freezer burned and/or overcooked. The greens on the salad were wilted, as if they'd been sitting in dressing all day, and the shrimp was underseasoned. My daughter's cod was no better.

My son was getting married down the road at the Stonewall Golf Club and we needed a place for the rehearsal dinner. A friend recommended the Grafton knowing it had a reception area in the back. We setup a meeting with Justin (one of the owners) and checked the place out. The room was large enough, food seemed right, price was good and they had a decent selection of beers on tap. Justin worked hard with us to come up with the right menu and price we were looking for. I felt he was trying to save us money, not soak us for every penny. Communication over the weeks was very good and we felt everything was in order for the event. We arrived a little earlier to setup flowers we had bought for the tables. The staff quickly jumped in to help. They got the appetizers out and drinks rolling as the guests started to arrive. The room looked great (they had just laid new hardwood floors) and everyone was enjoying each other's company. The staff walked around ensuring no one had last minute dinner order changes as well as filling drinks. When dinner arrived I was surprised at the size of the 14oz NY strips. They were huge and gorgeous. Dessert followed and was equally tasty. Justin stopped in several times to ensure there were no issues and everyone was taken care of. I can't say enough about the staff. They were great and very attentive. I know other posts didn't have as good of an experience with their staff, but that was not an issue with us. It was a special day for our family and Justin and his team made sure it felt that way. I would definitely recommend the Grafton and have done so. Our family will also be frequenting the Grafton for food, drink and good company. Thanks again Justin and team for a great time.

I want to give more stars to this because our experience ended well but the start was rough so I'm hesitant to give more. My fiance and I arrived last night (Valentine's day) and had a reservation that we were early for (but plenty of tables were open). We were sat quickly and told our server would be right with us. No one ever came to our table. Several servers walked past our table and made eye contact but no one stopped. The server for the table behind us made eye contact with me a couple of times but never stopped by. A man that I'm assuming is a manager or owner walked around at one point with complimentary glasses of champagne. While I can understand that my fiance and I might look on the cusp of drinking age he is 35 and I am 26 so I was a little irritated to watch this man walk around the entire dining room, make eye contact with me, and skip our table. At the very least we look questionable enough to be carded. I was even more frustrated though because he also walked past our table multiple times, seeing that our menus were away, our water glasses were empty, and no bev naps were on the table. After over 10 minutes with no service we decided to go to the bar. We had already picked out our food so we thought we might as well give it a shot. On our way to the bar we passed zero servers/hosts/managers so there was no one to tell that we left our table or that we had never been attended to. At the bar we received drinks immediately and our food shortly thereafter. I didn't get their names but both bartenders (male & female) were incredibly friendly and attentive. As beer lovers it was nice to see the variety of craft brews on tap at the bar. My fiance ordered the BBQ wings and I ordered the chicken sandwich. Both were presented well and were really delicious. We were both happily impressed with food without a doubt. I'd love to try more on their menu. We will definitely go back for food and drinks again but will head straight for the bar next time. Oh and for anyone that was here when it was Bungalow - they've made much better use of the bar area than the previous restaurant did in this location. Really impressed with the redesign here.

Visiting from NY for the Easter weekend--loved the service, burgers & salmon was the best!---Can't wait to go back for another visit

Grafton Street is one of the few non-chain restaurants in Gainesville. It's a pretty great place that boasts an impressive beer list. The food isn't anything new or incredibly inventive, but it's all done very well. I got a burger and my wife got a Buffalo Chicken Pizza and they were both delicious. Especially the pizza, it was huge! Easily could have fed both of us. The wait staff was very friendly and informative. They also have a pretty large bar area that seems like it'd be fun for happy hour. I'd definitely recommend Grafton Street.

Friendly Greeting by hostess and waitress! Very nice atmosphere and we enjoyed the different dining areas within the restaurant. The bar was a great area to relax and watch a game - casual place. The food is fresh! Really fresh and they take pride in the quality. We had freshly made lemonade and other adult specialty drinks. Great for family!

Last weekend was the second time that my wife and I have been to Grafton Street and this time we went with my parents. When I walked in I was greeted by the same hostess from last time, still as unfriendly ever. Lighten up girl! We had a reservation for 7:30 but we arrived a little early and they still seated us. The service was a bit slow at first because they were extremely busy and, apparently, their computers went down. We weren't in any particular rush so it wasn't a big deal. We started with the onion rings and calamari, both were very good. The calamari was cooked perfectly and the breading was light and flavorful. The onion rings were also very crispy and really good. Both came out piping hot. For entrees my wife had the soup special, a spinach soup, and the ham & andoille sausage flatbread pizza (without the meat). She was surprised to hear that the soup was actually vegeterian (no chicken stock!) and she thought the flavor was wonderful. She also liked her flatbread. My dad had the fish & chips and while shoe string fries aren't really "chips" he was really happy with the fish. It was nice thick pieces of cod that were seasoned well. The breading was a tad thick, but still my Scottish dad was very pleased. My mom had a salad and the Tex-Mex eggroll appetizer. The salad was fresh and while the tex-mex rolls were a bit spicy for her she still enjoyed them. I had the NY strip which was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and the shoestring fries were nicely seasoned and crispy. During the meal both the manager and owner came by the table to check on us and apologize for the waits of the evening. We have so few non-chain good restaurants here in Gainesville so it's nice to have an alternative to the usual places. We will definitely be back and I can only hope that this lasts longer than and of the previous restaurants that were in this space.

Like it here but they need to work on the hostess stand. Sometimes you stand there for a while before anyone helps you.

Stop by this place after reading the Yelp reviews. Highly disappointed this place is one step above a Funeral Parlor wake. Average age of the women are in their forties too much makeup too much mommy fat. They do have a bar but there is no night life here whatsoever

We went to Grafton Street for the first time on a quiet night. There were 3 adults, and 2 children in our party. We had Sam and Jess as our waiter and waitress in training. They were both wonderful and deserve 5 stars for service. Their butternut squash soup, garlic mashed potatoes, and shoestring fries were excellent. My friend had a chicken salad and stated that the lettuce was wilted...and it wasn't enjoyed. I shared a spinach and feta pizza with a friend. She loved it but I didn't think it had any flavor. We didn't have much and I am sure there are many great things left to try. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice, and the seating was wonderful as well. This place deserves a solid 3 stars and I would be happy to go back and possibly update with 4 stars if there is more consistency with the menu items.

The food was oustanding! Pricey, but you get what you pay for - great "go to" Irish and Pub food and some unexpected seasonal and trending surprises on the menu as well! Clean, convienent. Phenominal amount of beer choices and great wine and whiskey list as well. As if all of that woudn't keep us coming back, the service we had was fantastic! It is rare to find such a waitress (and I apologize that I am at a lost for her name :( ) that is friendly, attentive, accomodating, resourceful and that knows the menu well. We love that she could answer our questions, offered tastings if appropriate and was truly a gem! They are lucky to have her and when we're back, we'll figure out her name and seek her out! Put that all together and it explains our wonderful dining experience.

Reserved the private room for a parent appreciation night for our local hockey teams. Our group ordered the tex-mex egg rolls, buffalo wings, guacamole, spinach dip, quesadillas, and teriyaki chicken skewers. Everything was fresh, warm, and tasted fantastic. Our group had two servers, Amid and Jonathan, and both were outstanding. Almost everyone in our group of 35 commented on the appetizers and service. The manager, Daragh, checked in on us multiple times throughout the night. Being a hockey gathering, he made sure the Caps game was on both the flat screen TV's in our private room. All in all we had a great time and will definitely be back!!!

This is probably the best restaurant that has been in this location and it's already getting a following. The husband and I tried it out when it first opened and went back again tonight to see if there have been any changes. The first thing we noticed is that it's much more busy than it used to be. Good sign! There was a 20 minute wait for a table. The service was good. The special of the evening was well cooked and seasoned. It could have arrived hotter, but that was probably the only real flaw of the evening. We don't usually order dessert, but the experience was so nice that we dove in just to extend the evening. We left well fed and satisfied in every way.

Great food. Great drinks. The patio is great for happy hours/dinner. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely one my go-tos

Another crappy restaurant. When will Gainesville get something decent?

They have a private room for events. The service is great and you won't regret the food!

I've been to Grafton Street twice now and both times I had a pleasant experience. Friendly staff, food came out decently quick and the family all enjoyed their orders. I personally recommend the G Street Burger. The burger is one if the better ones I've had in the area. Seasoned well, great sauce, fresh fixins and awesome bun (Brioche?).

Tried it but NOT going back there again. Waitress was very rude, and food was overrated.

Took some clients out for drinks and dinner at Grafton Street several weeks back. The owner came by 3 times to see how the food and service was...and it was excellent. We had good service throughout our 2 hour stay there. We had 2 appetizers to start out with and then went right in for the steak meals. Typically I always order medium rare and let me tell you, the steak was medium rare which a lot of times restaurants tend to over cook a medium rare steak. Also found the wine to be very reasonable priced which is a big benefit when you take clients out. The restaurant was clean and had a very nice upscale decor. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a date night or for anything else.

This has become our go-to place when looking for a good meal close to home. Unlike the restaurants that had been in this location before, the service is attentive and the food has been, for the most part, stellar. To start, get the Tex-Mex egg rolls...just the right mix of meat to veggies to spices. Make sure you get bread, but don't fill up on it (which is easy to do since it tastes so good!). They also have a baby green salad with pecans, cranberry and feta cheese...available as an entree with an optional protein or you can order it as a side. I am truly addicted to this --or at least as addicted as you can get to a salad! DH always gets the red meat, and it's always a good cut and cooked to the right temperature. They have optional flavored butters that they can add to the meat. You've already killed your diet, so go ahead and splurge on the butter! The only reason I've taken a star off is the prime rib...it's usually listed as a special on the weekends, but it's been a consistent disappointment every time I've ordered it. Whether it's actually prime meat is a big question, as the texture is just not the smooth, buttery one you'd expect from a decent cut. But everything else on the menu has been a winner. And combined with the excellent attentive service from both the staff and owners and reasonable pricing, we'll keep coming back T

Very cool atmosphere out in NVa with a varied beer and cocktail menu and very good food. Nice new place for the area!

Visited Grafton Street over the weekend for a date night. My wife and I ordered the guacamole with lobster and crab as an appetizer. It was $13 and had a few slivers of crab and lobster on top of guacamole. Definitely not worth $13.. We both ordered the rib eye steak dinners. I received a NY strip steak, which I decided not to send back because I had waited long enough and was hungry. Both steaks were overcooked and we sent back more then 1/2 of each without even being asked if everything was ok. Service was not very good and I found ourselves waiting 15-20 mins to order a 2nd round of drinks after we had finished the first. In short order this place is way too expensive for the level of service and quality of food we received. We won't be eating here anymore.

Food was good, waitstaff was attentive, but amateur.

I went here the first time for Mother's Day brunch a while back. I've been back three times since then for dinner. The brunch buffet they did for Mother's Day was fabulous. The food was great and the service was wonderful. The managers kept the buffet food hot and the area changed over often to keep it cleanly. They have since added brunch every Sunday (I don't know if it is buffet style or not). Their dinners have all been fantastic. I recently had their crabcakes served over a butternut squash and roasted corn medley of veg. It was excellent. Their wedge salad is tasty - but it needs to be served on a larger plate to accommodate the room necessary for the diner to cut up the lettuce wedge. The steaks with the compound butters have been excellent and the ribs were okay. I've tried twice to order the hanger steak, but was told they were out of it both times. The second time I asked the waiter finally informed me that it was taken off of the menu because they couldn't reliably obtain it from their supplier. in that case ... update your menu and take it off so I don't ask for it. The guacamole with lobster and crab, as well as the calamari appetizers were very good. The tex-mex spring rolls were so-so. They serve sangria which is nice. The patio is usually full on the nice days we've been having -- but there is always room inside. A weeknight dinner inside with business clients was great since we had plenty of space and a rather quiet dinner inside.

Went there for a 2pm late lunch and there were 3 other groups in the bar area and looked like 2 groups in the dining room. No one greeted us in the bar area, looked like a bartender was working this area alone. He was friendly, but not a polished waitstaff for the prices on the menu (for lunch!). I ordered Fish & Chips (which the bartender recommended) and it came with shoestring fries, the fish and batter wasn't cooked all the way. The tarter sauce tasted off (not bad off, just not like I was expecting). My hubby had beef dip that gave him an upset stomach afterwards. Lunch with an non-alch beer and iced tea cost $34+ tip and we had stuff with fries!!! I would have been fine if it was good tasting. We told the bartender that I didn't like the f&c and he said "sorry" then walked away with my filled plate. Keep in mind - he had at this point 2 other tables, so he wasn't really busy. The table closest to us had ordered 2 entrees and when they left they were mostly still intact plates of food. Didn't over hear anything, so not sure their situation, but they didn't ask for a doggy bag and the bartender didn't really seem to notice/care of why he's taking almost full plates back to the dishwasher. We might try again for happy hour some day... but it'll have to blow my mind for us to make it a 3rd time. Music was odd mix that sounded like someone's random ipod set to "popish". Other than the Irish stuff on the walls, it's hard to tell why they call it an irish pub.

We were so thrilled to find out this place existed. We had been searching for a location for our Rehearsal Dinner that wasn't a chain restaurant - which is rare in the Gainesville/Manassas area we were looking in. We reached out as soon as we found them and Justin responded immediately. We went to visit and try some food and see the space and meet Daragh and we loved it. I wish all of our wedding planning had gone just as smoothly! Our rehearsal was this past Friday and Justin and Daragh were wonderful. The food was amazing, our server was so quick to bring drinks to our guests, and everyone raved about the location and food. THANK YOU all so much for a wonderful night! Justin responded to all our emails quickly and took care of everything. These guys were both wonderful to work with. We've also been a few times for football games and the bar service was great as well. We will be venturing out to Gainesville to visit more. My parents in Springfield said the same thing. Those Tex Mex eggrolls are seriously life-changing!!

Very good place for an informal business lunch or a quiet dinner with your "other". Friendly staff and good food.

Better than the Bungalow but staff could be a little more attentive. Menu isn't bad and the ambience is decent. Worth a stop to mix things up a bit.

Been here a few times for drinks and apps and decided to go for Mothers day brunch too. This place is a huge upgrade from ATR and Bungalow that used to sit in this spot. Let's talk about my drinks and apps visits first. Service in the bar is great and there is an eclectic crowd and everyone seems casual. The drink service was good and the apps were amazing and the staff in here were great. This was a busy Saturday night too. Based on this experience I decided to try Mothers day here. We usually hit Stonewall country club/Brass Canon restaurant for this event with a group of 7 but I decided to give these guys a go. They had multiple seating's which was smart to avoid a huge rush for seating and at the buffet. Seating here is not as convenient as it is at the club and we had some issues with our table for a buffet seating where everyone is getting up. If you are in a booth it will be a pain. We were in the first seating at 10am and it took our waitress a good 10-15 minutes to come over and say hi and take drink orders. I am not sure how this was possible since nobody was really there yet. But we came here for the food and it was amazing. They had all kinds of breads, lobster mac and cheese, amazing French toast and more good stuff. In the end we were extremely happy and all was good and we will go back next year. I knocked off a star because the servers here need some improvement and the host never called me back to confirm my reservation. I called him in the am on Friday before MDay and he never called me back even though he took my number and said he would. The Irish guy who may be the owner and the Manager seem to be rock solid. I will continue to go back and expect them to keep improving. We needed a great place like this in GVille.

Had very nice brunch with family. Mellow space, nicely appointed and clean. Brunch menu was small and scared our less adventurous diners at first (they wanted IHOP - yuck) , and after some debate and clarification by our excellent server we toughed it out. We were rewarded for our choice with excellent food, from the lemon blueberry pancakes to the cinnamon raisin brioche French toast. Every plate was well presented, the food hot and delicious. Portion sizes were more than adequate. Eggs were light and fluffy. Bacon crisp but not chewy. I only wish the menu selections were broader, otherwise Grafton Street is a solid entrant and currently my first choice for brunch in the Haymarket/Gainesville area,
