I get Pho in almost every town I go to. I just love Vietnamese food so that is usually what I am craving. But I have NEVER found a place I have loved as Pho Saigon. Their food and service is incredible!

In one week I decided to try the two Vietnamese restaurants in Fredericksburg and find that I enjoyed the other a bit better than this one. The pho with beef was great and the regular size portion was nice and large. I ordered the spring rolls (at both places) and found the ones here to be not as flavorful and the wrapper not as nice (different texture). The location of this one is a bit out of the way compared to the other in regards to be out and about shopping and just wanting to stop in to eat. I'd probably visit again, but would most likely go to the other one first. Waitress was super nice and attentive.

Plain and simple. Food-awesome. Service-terrible. Had the crispy spring rolls. Very good. Blazing hot. Fresh ingredients. Very flavorful. Pho Ga. Great broth. Shredded chicken was great. Noodles were plentiful and tasty. Lack of vegetables was explained during our ordering. I love some fresh broccoli and cabbage in my Pho but that's my personal preference. A little smaller portion than what I have come accustom to with a large bowl of pho. Wife had spicy lemongrass soup with chicken. Very strong flavor. Awesome broth. Small portion though. Now the cons. Never had our water glasses filled. Took forever to get our check. Unfortunately for the two servers working there were only two servers. Needed one or two more to help run food and take orders.

Pit stop on the way home from Busch Gardens. The food was great and our waitress was great and helpful, extremely courteous! My boyfriend and I had pho ga (chicken pho) and the mixed grill meat on vermicelli. Both items tasted great, only downfall was that we only had about four pieces of chicken in the pho ga. We inquired about the portion and was told that it was the regular portion and extra chicken could be brought to us if desired... The Vietnamese iced coffee was also served differently here, it was shaken rather than the traditional way. Not bad.

Growing up in the Bay Area, CA there was never a short supply of pho but because of it I also know how pho is supposed to taste. I walked in with low expectations and Pho Saigon was able to hold their own. My boyfriend and I came during lunch and they have a long list of lunch specials that are basically $1 off their regular price with either garden or crispy rolls. I ordered beef pho with garden rolls. The broth was good, the noodles were good, my only criticism is that they skimped out on the meat a little. Garden rolls were decent, but the crispy rolls were delicious! My boyfriend ordered bo kho under the lunch special and I couldn't stop picking at his dish. Bo kho is basically beef stew noodle soup and the broth was sooo good. It tasted like a beef tomato base soup. I will be ordering this the next time i come. Finally, they have excellent customer service. The waiter mistaken my garden rolls for crispy rolls and apologized with no questions asked. He also told us to keep it and that it on the house followed by an order of the GARDEN rolls. I will be coming back to Pho Saigon the next time I am craving pho.

Good for the soul and the owner is not only sweet, but aims to please over every detail. I'm a Pho-natic. This broth brings harmony to your senses. Other items we've had so far are equally tasty.

Family run from top to bottom. Good vietnamese food. Pho is better than a lot of places in north virginia. Fried spring rolls are more crispy but still good. I like the flambe beef and mushrooms, I get that almost every time and my guests love it too! It's like vietnamese comfort food. Service can be spotty but they are never rude just busy.

Amazing food! The pho is top shelf quality. It's addicting. You feel like you ate a healthy yet delicious authentic meal right out of Vietnam. We will definitely be regulars here, the service was amazing, the woman running the place is awesome!

Really good tasting food. A little bit on the pricier side compared to other Pho places I've been. Fast service though.

Found this place on my Yelp APP. Couldn't believe there is a vietnamese restaurant located in the middle of no where. Great selections of PHO and other dishes. Love the lemon beef, a must try! Pho was good as well. We will be back when we are in town again.

Best pho in town! Crispy Spring Rolls are a little piece of heaven and the Garden Rolls are also quite tasty. Their Pho Ga is phenomenal and just writing this review has me craving their Saigon Noodles! The *ONLY* drawback is that they don't have delivery, because I'm lazy, but they're well-worth the 10 minute drive to get my fix!! Plus, the owners are some of the friendliest people I've ever encountered in the restaurant industry!

This is my go to place for pho! The employees are nice and professional! They make sure your order is correct and have no problem preparing extra sauce if you need it - which I always want extra sauce. The restaurant is clean and welcoming.

Omg this Food is AMAZING!!!!!! The Hostess she has the mostest! Such a lovely and sweet lady. She was very attentive and basically created dishes that accommodated my entire family's taste. The green curry is EXCELLENT.. The chicken fried rice is superb. She even created a chicken wonton appetizer for me because I only eat chicken.. That was ALSO great. The pho was excellent and the Saigon noodles were out of this world with the tasty peanut sauce. EVERYTHING about my family's experience was great from the moment we walked through the door to the time we left. Great food paired with excellent service makes for a consistent and habitual return. Very GOOD!

Stopped in before sons baseball tournament. Atmosphere is good. Service was great. Now to Pho soup. Have only tried the soup at maybe 5 total restaurants and this one is by far the best. Broth was excellent.

Excellent pho. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. I wasn't sure what to expect when we walked in as the restaurant is kind of small with no signs about waiting to be seated or seat yourself. One of the kind ladies pointed us to a table, cleaned it off and promptly took our drink order. After being a bit indecisive, I settled on beef and brisket and my wife got the chicken noodle. Both we're amazing as were the pork dumpling appetizer. Get the Saigon coffee. Delicious! Great friendly staff. A must if you want pho in Fredericksburg.

I've never traveled the world dining on Pho, so I'm hardly an expert - but this place served me the most amazing Pho I have EVER had. My husband and I went here for lunch one day and I ordered the spring rolls and Pho Ga. The rolls came out and were very good. The dipping sauce was delicious and everything was fresh. THEN the Pho Ga came out. The broth alone was delicious & came out piping not. The portion was huge and the plate came out with fresh jalepenos, bean sprouts, etc. I put everything together and let the flavors do their thing. It was so good I ate the entire thing...& seriously considered getting another order to go. Nothing I've tried since has compared! Do yourself a favor and try it!

Terrible overall. Saigon dac biet and pho is not up to Vietnamese standard. Skewers were nothing to brag about. Need a new chef.

I needed a bite while driving down from DC yesterday afternoon. A friend of mine was driving up to DC and we decided to meet off of exit 130B for a quick lunch. Traffic is a straight up bitch in this area so be prepared to ride your brake. This place is actually just a few blocks off of the main road. I'm not sure of the area too much but it appears this place has a pretty good following. I got the impression that the staff knew just about every patron that walked into their establishment. These folks do a pretty good job on their steak and tripe to soup/noodle ratio. Most places give you a few pieces and it's mostly soup. I like that I kept digging for more and kept finding it. Friendly and attentive staff and my pho tasted decent.

  • Kiryu K.

People consider this place with high ratings because there is hardly any other vietnamese place to compare with. This place was ok. Not the very best according to other reviews. The main thing that throws this place off is the freshness of the raw beef they serve. It is not fresh at all, it already start to brown and yet they still serve it. I had the beef stew with carrots and it was ok at best. Compare to other restaurant, it was not up to par.

Great pho, warm & friendly atmosphere, loved our waitress. Stuff my picky kid liked AND husband liked; Pho w everything and extra tripe.

Some of the best pho I've ever tasted! 1st generation family owned and operated with extremely nice staff. Great place that will now become a regular spot for me!

Stayed in Fredericksburg for business and tried this place out. Inside is clean. And a strong smell of broth when you walk in. Just like I like it. Let's you know the soup base is fresh or Atleast brewing and soaking up the flavor. Staff and owners were very nice. Service was great. My water cup was never empty. Prices are decent. Well worth the $18 I spent on myself. So I Gave it 5 stars for the following reasons Easily top 5 vietnamese restaurants in Virginia. I order 2 orders of summer rolls(4 all together). Decent size but very plump. Peanut sauce was full of flavor and went very well with with summer rolls and was good for dipping meat from pho. For my main dish I had the pho dac biet. (Combination bowl). First off, this is the first place that offers a super Saigon size! I didn't want to take the chance of ordering that for the fear of shame of not finishing it. So I ordered the next size down which was the size up from the large with extra noodles. When they brought it out the noodles were already in the bowl. First one on VA that did that. I usually get it on the side. So I finally add my toppings. The basil. Bean sprouts and my sauces. The soup base is full of flavor. Tastes like it's been brewing for two days. It was nice and steamy. The noodles were not to soft. Strong enough that my chopsticks didn't break the noodle when picking them up. My friend had the pork rice vermicelli bowl. He is someone that is not a vietnamese food advocate but enjoyed his dish. Enjoyed it so much he order summer rolls at the end.

Delicious Pho soup, and wonderful staff. _______________________________________________ Ate here on a Friday night...upon entering, we were greeted promptly, drinks came out in an acceptable amount of time, and our order was taken soon after. Overall, the service was great, and the staff was very informative and energetic. The Pho (Ga) was very good. The broth in the Pho was flavored very nicely, and it tasted fresh. The Garden Rolls we ordered were wonderful. My wife had an entree with shrimp and curry (I can't remember the name, and she would say its because I don't listen..whatever) which was very tasty. With an appetizer, 2 dishes, a couple beers and a couple ice teas, we walked out and dropped about $50. I would recommend this to a Pho Phan.

Great place!!!! We've been obsessed with pho soup lately, it's delicious here! Get the smallest size bowl unless your really, really hungry or want left overs. We will definitely be coming back!

Fabulous! We've been here twice now. Service is awesome and so is the phó. I actually craved this place and ended up eating it twice in one day for lunch and again for dinner. Ate at the restaurant and took an order to go. It was just add yummy at home as it was at the restaurant. We will absolutely frequent this place.

Very happy with this stop on the way through Virginia! Excellent food. We enjoyed PhoTai, the lemongrass soup with shrimp and a mixed vegetable stir-fry. Wonderful and fresh. Only negative was slow service, which was compensated by the very friendly owner-customer interaction.

Started out with the shrimp and pork garden rolls and they tasted very fresh. The sauce that came with them was so good!! I got a number 18, just the pho with steak and I think I had to pause from eating after every bite I took to tell my boyfriend how good it was! The broth was amazing. Definitely the best pho I've ever had. Service was very friendly! I think this is my new place for eating pho!

Just ate here for the 2nd time. Pretty good stuff. I would compare it to the Richmond Vietnamese joints. It would be in the Richmond top 7 or so. The pho broth was very good, good noodles, lots of it. The meat was lacking in quantity but decent meat none the less. I had the tripe, brisket, tendon pho. The dumplings for appetizer were below average. Wish they had more sauce condiments for the pho. Just hoisin and siracha.

This is the best pho I've had. It's so delicious. The broth is clear but very fragrant and soooo yummy. Not greasy at all. They give you a ton of chicken, noodles, peppers, limes, etc. to put in it. If you're sick, you need to come here and get a proper soup. I felt better just inhaling the aroma. The owners are so nice and make you feel at home as soon as you walk in. I really love that I found this place, and can't wait to go back.

Happened to be in Fredricksburg for a few weekends, so my girlfriend and I have been cruising around, getting a feel for the town, checking out the shops, and yelping the restaurants. Lo and behold, I spot a pho joint. "Ooooo they have pho," I says. "So that's what we're having for dinner?" she responds. Stupid question. I have a regular pho joint in my town. Friendly staff, great broth... They know me there. I go in about once a week, and haven't looked at the menu in ages. So I feel more than a little guilty saying this, but... I like Pho Saigon better. Like, a LOT better. Service is just as good as my home shop. In fact, the very nice lady who served us on our second visit remembered us from our first last week. They're super friendly, and at least a couple of them are family. Pretty sure it's a family business. The place is clean and cute too. Nice decor. All the chairs are a little wobbly, but if they can hold me up, they'll hold you. But none of this matters without the... PHO. The pho rocks. I'm appalled that people come in there and order anything else. Seriously... if you're in a restaurant that has good pho on the menu, you order the pho! Theirs comes in appropriately gargantuan bowls (I order the middle-of-the-line Saigon Bowl) and tastes like heaven. For the purists out there, it's a little cloudy, and has a tiny bit of fat on top. Like, a lot less than a can of condensed chicken soup, but it's there. It's rich and flavorful and my favorite pho so far. Oh, my girlfriend thinks their steamed dumplings and homemade dipping sauce are the best thing ever. But it's not pho so it's irrelevant. I'm sad I only have another weekend here... I'll miss you, Pho Saigon.

The food here is SO delicious!!!! My friend and I ordered the crispy fried noodles, which is like a nest of crispy noodles filled with veggies, choice of meat, and brown sauce. I had not had this dish since I moved away from California years ago so I was hoping it was the same exact dish. It wasn't the same because the sauce had a different consistency (thinner) and the nest was shaped more beautifully - like a nest. Presentation was gorgeous! The meat and veggies were like a stir fry, with bean sprouts, green onions, a bit of mushrooms, onions, etc. It was very flavorful!!! I've been to their other location on Courthouse Rd before they had closed there (I think they changed their restaurant into a catering business at that location). I've always had the bun (rice vermicelli) with pork, which came on skewers. SOOOO delicious! They have lunch specials that come with either garden rolls or crispy rolls. I always get the crispy rolls and they are amazing cut up in my noodles. Prices are a bit more than what I expect (I'm used to paying cheap Cali prices) but I think it's worth it since the food is so yummy and because there are not a lot of Vietnamese options around the area. I had pho here once on a winter day and it was satisfactory. I'm not big on pho though. Oh and I always appreciate the fish sauce that comes with the crispy rolls because I add it to my bun as extra sauce!

This was my first time having pho, and I was excited. The location is weird and a bit out of the way, but worth it. I went in at around noon and it was pretty empty but the restaurant smelled amazing. The cashier was very polite and let me take my time when ordering. Everything is decently priced for how delicious it all is. I got the lunch special of chicken pho and it comes with 2 garden rolls, either crunchy or soft. Total came around to 10$. I got it to go and they wrapped it up nicely for the journey home. When I opened the box, everything was so pretty, even if it was in a Styrofoam box. Generous amounts of bean sprouts and basil, thinly sliced and crunchy jalapeno and they even gave me extra limes when I asked, along with hoison sauce and pepper oil. And it was all arranged in a professional way, not thrown in. Then there was the crunchy garden roll. Oh, man, when I bit into I said "oh, my God" cuz these things are heavenly. I could survive on those alone. Delicious filling, not too greasy. Just right. The broth of the pho was aromatic. All the flavors went well with each other and the noodles were perfect. The chicken by its self was great too! Mixed together, you have a perfect melody of flavors. And the portions are pretty huge, and I was full almost half way through. Overall, I loved it! This was my first time here and my first experience with Vietnamese food. I'm not sure what constitutes as AMAZING Vietnamese food, but this place was pretty darn good. Hours are 10am to 9pm daily so go and get some

I started this review after I went to Pho Saigon like two months ago and never finished it. However, I've caught myself daydreaming about the Pho like ten times now. Either this place has amazing Pho, or I've got serious issues (I'm leaning towards the former).

  • Anthony G.

Awesome place for Vietnamese food. Been here about 4 times now and definitely satisfied every time. The pho is fantastic as are the appetizers. The broth had immense flavor unlike most places which tend to taste bland and watery. The large pho bowl is plenty for any one person, we asked to see the "Super Saigon" size out of curiosity and it could probably feed 4 people. Wait time was low, prices are extremely reasonable. I've taken a friend there who's very picky about good Vietnamese food and he was impressed as well. It's a small place so large parties should probably call ahead as it does get busy around lunch and dinner. The only down side I can say is the wait staff when it's busy is a bit taxed, one more server during peak times would definitely help and because it's a small place it can get a little loud when busy.

  • Arun M.

Good service, decent flavor profile but doesn't fit my Asian pallet. Its a 2.5 star than a full 3. The grilled meat looked pan fried, the beef and pork in the dishes did not taste fresh, and the table setting did not include many condiments for personalizing your bowl of pho. For first time Vietnamese eaters, this is good place for an introduction but If you're a veteran, it's going to be very average.

    (3)
  • Jae H.

Yep I rated this 5 out 5. The soup in my opinion is as good as what you will find in Vietnamese towns. If you have to ask then you haven't been to one of those spots before. :) I have been there a dozen times and it is nice when they remember you and greet you by asking you if you want the usual!

This place is great. Fair prices, good service and the food is the best Vietnamese I've had in this area. I used to live in Hawaii where you find great Vietnamese food. Pho Saigon isn't as good as that, but I was spoiled. I would take a date to Pho Saigon and if she didn't like the place I knew never to take her out again. Only problem I've had is that I liked what I ordered on my first visit and other than spring rolls, I keep ordering the same dish. I don't recall it's name but it's pho noodles with chicken on sticks. It's awesome. Their spring rolls are the best. Go to Pho and check it out.

While here for business we read other Yelp reviews and decided to come check it out. My business partner and I got the fried rice with pork, the steak and pork Pho and I had the pad Thai. I can't say enough good things about this pace and the lady working this evening was very informative on what to try, add and experience. Will be coming here again next time I'm in town!!

All I can say is when I want a good lunch this is where I go. Fast, friendly and good food. If you have been there a few times they know your favorite and say "The usual?". The cheerful attitude of the owner/server make it a pleasure to be there.

This is my second visit to Pho Saigon. The first time was take out in which I ordered the Pho Ga. It was good. Today, my husband and I decided to dine in and we were so glad we did. Lisa was our server and was amazing! We ordered crispy spring rolls as an appetizer. After tasting them, my husband knew why I made him order his own because I was not sharing mine. My husband ordered chicken fried rice. He said it was the best he has ever had and really liked the taste of the grilled chicken. They also make their own soy sauce. I had Saigon noodles with chicken in them. They were very enjoyable. I also had a small bowl of Pho. Lisa introduced me to the hoisin sauce and hot sauce which really made the dish even better. I can not wait to bring my daughter here to share a new and amazing food with her.

I have been to many Pho restaurants between northern va and the Fredericksburg area and I have to say this is hands down my favorite of all. Staff is very friendly and you are easily treated as though you're a regular. Food is always delicious and service is never anything but great!

  • Quintin P.

Everyone is very friendly but service is slow during lunch hours. I asked for the Bun Bao Hue which is a traditional soup dish and they did not have it. The place is very clean the restrooms are very clean. I ordered the number 27 all the ingredients were good but very small. I also ordered the spring rolls crispy they came out right on time hot crispy. For the area it's good but it's not great.

After a trip to the library I was hungry and about to eat fast-food, when I saw this place. I've never had pho before this and therefore have nothing to compare it with but I really liked it. I got the pho with meatballs (didn't like the meatballs, they had an odd, chewy texture, more like sausage); the broth was tasty, not too salty, and clear. It was served with a side plate of sprouts and basil. The table was set with a salt shaker, hoisen and chili sauce. I ordered the regular sized bowl and it was huge. I had enough in a to-go container to have dinner. Their unsweetened tea was really good. It was light, refreshing and not bitter. There was only one server, but she was prompt and helpful (even showed me how to pronounce some of the dishes' names). It is really likely that I'll return; had a really nice time, but I wouldn't get the meatballs in my dish again.

First time here and I ordered the deep fried spring rolls and beef noodle soup with added meatballs to go. Total was about $16. Service was attentive and they supplied me with extra siracha and hoisin sauce upon request. The pho was good and decent for a VA pho spot.. I have had better tho but that was back in my home state. The deep fried spring rolls were tasty I just wish they had a different dipping sauce. I would return if I lived here as there aren't too many pho spots but since I've had better I prob won't return during my stay.

I went with my mom an sister. We shared two lunch specials (pho and golden curry) for $27 including the tip. Service was friendly, restaurant particularly clean, an we left quite happy and satisfied. The lunch specials come with two garden rolls--pretty generous in my opinion, so doubly happy with our experience.

Pretty good Pho -- both beef and vegetarian-type. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. Not great, but workmanlike Vietnamese fare for sure.

A really great spot for lunch! I have been many times including today and always get the same high level of friendly service that many restaurants in this town sorely lack. I really enjoy the Pho Ga - a simple chicken noodle soup combo that comes with either fried of fresh rolls - I always get fresh that are awesome! The soup is a generous portion with lots of shredded chicken and noodles plus a side of bean sprouts, sliced jalepenos, basil and limes, all very fresh. Simple decor with a huge fish tank with a very friendly staff that make you feel at home.

Went here the other night with a bad craving for pho. My friend & I split an appetizer of spring rolls. Inside there was pork, shrimp, glass noodles, lettuce, and also came with a dipping sauce. I guess that's pretty much standard. They were just OK. The shrimp, unlike a few previous reviews, WAS deveined. I know because I always check. Eating shrimp with veins creeps me out to a ridiculous extent so I wouldn't eat them if they weren't deveined. Wasn't a big fan of the pork inside the roll though. For my main dish, I got the pho ga. Even though I got the smallest bowl available, the portion was big. The broth is a bit bland compared to other pho places I've been to (in Cali & Richmond) but they weren't stingy with the mint leaves & bean sprouts. Two thumbs up for that one. Also, try the fresh lime soda. It's the bomb dot com. I probably could've drank 4 glasses of it. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a pretty ambient atmosphere. They also had a pretty big bar incase anyone is in to that. The server was super friendly. He seemed to be the only one that was working the floor so I'm surprised at how attentive he was, especially for an asian restaurant. However, the hours weren't listed on the store-front, and half-way through our meal, they cut the "open" sign off and we wound up being the only people in the restaurant. The guy started closing up shop while we were eating, so naturally, while paying the bill, I apologized to him for keeping him there past opening hours...HOWEVER, he told us that they weren't closed at all. It was 8 o clock at the time and he said they closed at 9. How was I supposed to know that when there were no hours for me to go by? I dunno, I just felt really rushed. I don't think that was his intent but it came off that way. SO incase anyone is wondering, Pho Saigon closes at 9 on Fridays ;) The prices were pretty high too. I think $8 for a bowl of pho is a bit much. I dunno maybe that's just me? But of course, this is Fredericksburg and it's not like the supply of asian ingredients is plentiful so if you consider that, it makes sense. Overall, no complaints with the food, it was a good meal. I would return but it's not like I have any other options for pho besides gross South Vietnam House. That place sucks.

We have been regulars both at the restaurant and getting carry out for over 2 years. We'll that has come to an abrupt end. After ordering 3 Large PHO and some appetizers to go my husband went to pick up the order and was told it was never ordered. They did end up finding it. The food came home and the PHO was terrible. Parsley (instead of basil) which sounds small but it kinda ruined it. The amount of noodles was larger than usual and the amount of Chicken ( and bean sprouts) was so small we thought there had been a mistake. My husband called and spoke to one of the owners who said they ran out of basil and chicken and she was very apologetic and said next time we call they'll "take care of us". The next day we spoke to a manager LISA, who was very condescending and rude. She said they had Not run out of chicken and the lady we spoke to was wrong. She said that having run out of basil, what did I expect her to do? Go to the store? She said that the lady we spoke to also didn't mean that "taking care of us" mean't chomping a meal. She further explained that was being taken care of mean't next time we would receive exceptional service. My husband relied, " shouldn't we always receive exceptional service?" I'm not sure if this Lisa on on a power trip but her tone and making me wrong at every turn was inappropriate and insulting. I'm guessing the owners know nothing of this inciident. We were not looking for a free meal, although it was offered the night before, but wanted to inform the that the meal was not up to par. I saddened that LISA has spoiled our love for this place. We're in our 60's and don't need to be talked to like children.

I decided to check this place out because I work nearby. I was glad to see that they offer vegetarian and vegan options, especially the pho. I ordered the lunch special which included two vegetarian garden (summer) rolls and the veggie pho. I found that the food overall was very short on vegetables. The garden rolls were disappointing--mostly filled with noodles, with a few sprigs of basil, slices of tofu, and a couple shreds of carrot. But I felt like I was eating mostly noodles. The pho broth was very delicious and not watery like a lot of other veggie pho I've tried, but it was also short on vegetables. The pho is heavy on tofu and noodles and that's about it. No mushrooms, carrots, etc, just some green onion slices and a little bit of cilantro. The thai basil did add some color, but the mung bean sprouts I received were brown. So I would say not the freshest ingredients, and not a lot of veggies. The lunch specials are a little expensive (over $9, before tax and tip), which I don't think is justified by the quality of the food. I probably won't order the lunch special again, but it's the kind of place that is good for a convenient meal if you're craving Vietnamese food. In terms of ambience, it's always loud in there and they never seem to have enough people working. The waiters are friendly, but don't be surprised if there's only one person handling everything, and be prepared to spend some time waiting.

Encouraged by Yelp reviews, we stopped here relatively late for a Sunday night after a whole day in Kings Dominion. The owner, along with another lady who brought out the food, couldn't be more friendly, warm, and accommodating despite the fact that we were a big group (8 people) and it was almost closing time. Everything we ordered was delicious - pho, wonton soup, curry, salt and pepper squid, and fried rice. We didn't have high hopes for a pho place in Fredericksburg but this was a pleasant surprise.

Those gave it 5 stars must NEVER had good Vietnamese food ever! first, the soup was way too sour, nothing in it was singing a melody together like it should be. Worst of all, the shrimp was TINY and NOT devained. Yes, yike! I asked the owner, and she said that's the way they serve it. Wow, never would go back. As for the typical lovely spring roll, not lovely here. The tofu inside was DRY, yes, DRY, how can it be, that's right, I wonder. Go somewhere else if you are a foodie, or are not too hungry?

Popular place with excellent service and great food. Pho Ga, Spring Rolls, and Lime soda were brought out quickly and were very tasty. We'll be back, but with friends next time!

LOVE this place. My fiancee and I eat here all the time. I've been a vegan for about 20 years, so finding decent food, let alone vegan Pho, is difficult at times. These guys recently introduced a vegan Pho (not on the menu, but just ask for it) that is outstanding. My lady is a meat eater, and she swears everything she gets is outstanding as well. Great service, really sweet people. Can't recommend this place enough.

Yelp helped me out once again while recently staying in Fredericksburg! This area is laden with chain restaurant after chain restaurant so it was nice to find something local and off the beat and path. The server we had was so incredibly helpful. I went with two other girls, one of which has never had vietnamese cuisine so she needed some TLC and the server was tremendous at asking questions to gauge her preferences and made great suggestions. The menu offers a huge selection appealing to everyone - the meat eaters and veggies lovers can definitely dine together here! They also have a few seafood options if that's your thing. I had the veggie with rice noodle dish with bean curd. For an app I tried the lemongrass soup with bean curd (aka - tofu). Both dishes were very good! My friends got the salmon, lettuce wraps, and beef noodle dish. They liked everything, except the salmon. I didn't taste it, but my friend said it was just okay - nothing special. If you're on the fence, just go and try it. They make it incredibly easy for you and make you feel welcome - not intimidating at all! Oh - and don't judge the place by the exterior...it's in a strip mall and doesn't look like much - but it's great!!

I absolutely love this place, the food, and my Vietnamese family. When I come up from Virginia Beach I ALWAYS come by and some time they make soup for me to take back to VB because there is no better. Everything on the menu is awesome.

I've been a fan of this restaurant pretty much since they opened their first location out on Courthouse Road. The pho is delicious, as are the spring rolls and lime soda. These are the dishes I normally get, and they've always been cooked very well. Sometimes I branch out and try other things from the menu as well, and I've never been disappointed. In the summer, when I don't get hot soup, I like to try the various kinds of rice and rice vermicelli dishes. The restaurant is tucked away in a shopping strip, but I definitely recommend seeking it out. The food is great, and the family who run it seem very nice!

best pho is town. Cute place. when i came in the lady said, "i dont recognize you, come again please, here is coupon" the broth is pretty good from what you can get in the area. Im from NOVA and have had a lot of pho in at least 20 "top rated" places in that area...food is yummy and service is great. best sick day pick me up

I was amazed when I saw how high this place was reviewed. Having lived in LA and San Francisco, and having gone to a bunch of Pho places in the DC area, I was pretty skeptical that a place in Spotsylvania County of all places could serve good Pho. (Don't get me wrong, I live about 15 minutes away so I'm not just stereotyping - I mean the freakin' Wegmans is the 2nd highest rated place when you search Fredericksburg....) Well, I was very gladly proven wrong. Having an awesome Pho place 15 minutes away from my parents' house is the best thing since sliced bread! It's just a shame that it's not more well known in the area - I've been here probably 5 times during what should be peak hours (6 PM on a Saturday or whatever), and the place has been almost empty every time. The upside is that I can go there alone and not feel like everyone in the restaurant is judging me. Except for the waiter. And the 10 cooks with nothing better to do. Oh well.

We loved it! Small venue, family friendly and it was great as it was my patents first adventure with pho. Thanks for making it such a delicious experience.

This was my first time here and the food was great! I had crispy spring rolls and also soft garden rolls. They were both very delicious. For my meal, I had the Pho Bo which is a Pho dish with beef. It was one of the best pho dishes I have ever had. An added plus was that the waitress was very friendly and the restaurant was clean and well-kept. If you're looking for a scrumptious, light lunch, Pho Saigon is the perfect place.

The atmosphere was friendly and the service was good. I ordered an order of summer rolls (they are called garden rolls here), the skin seems like it was soaked too long in the water, but the overall taste was alright. The overall taste was the pho was great after adding in the bean sprout, basil, lime, hoisin sauce and sriracha. There was a great proportion of noodles and meat. I wished they were more generous was the bean sprout, basil and lime slices though... also, the basil that they gave us were not fresh :( But my overall experience was fine.

As a recent transplant to Fredericksburg, I've found good restaurants but not good variety. I've now found a Vietnamese restaurant that will keep me happy - no more driving up to Falls Church to get my fix. Great menu - this isn't just a pho shack; they offer a wide variety of not just pho and bun but also a bunch of different entrees and appetizers. I got pho anyway ($7.50) and was very satisfied. The broth was flavorful and the steak and brisket slices were plentiful and perfectly done. Garden roll was a little plain but the spring roll was tasty and super-crispy. I would give this place 4 stars if I were still in NYC or California. I'll be eating here regularly.

I felt like a distant relative they hadn't seen in a while. One of the ladies had a baby on her hip and the other was working the register, but both greeted us with smiles, hellos, and warm service throughout the experience. One of the ladies continuously wished us a safe drive home and a great night, a great weekend. I couldn't believe how nice they were. I got chicken skewers with vermicelli and bean sprouts, and a bowl of pho ga. The chicken skewers were a little tough, but not overcooked. The vermicelli was the right chewiness, and the bean sprouts and ground up peanut beneath were a nice surprise. The pho broth was very light, and not salty at all. The noodles were free and not clumpy, and slurped easily down my ready gullet. The chicken does have bones, so watch out! Almost lost respiration twice during the meal. After I sucked down that bowl in record time, the girl with the baby on her hip came over and said, "Wow, I guess you don't like your food!" I then reached over to my friend's bowl and finished it as well. Neal E. would be proud -- I didn't leave a single drop of pho broth between the two bowls. Pho Saigon, where have you been?! I can't believe this place is only 1.5 miles from my house and I never knew about it until now! P.S. They take credit cards

Great stop on our way up the coast- 5 min from 95. The reviews were right, great pho, variety of sizes, (even ginormous super Saigon size) and a perfect kids' version (smaller with no greens). Tasty, "cure whats ailing you", bowl as big as your head pho! Also great spring rolls and crispy rolls- great variety on menu, lots of apps, noodle and rice dishes. Friendly owner/ service- made for a fun atmosphere. She either knew or got to know everyone who came in. Kid and adult friendly. A definite stop on future trips!

This place was actually good and rated better than a Centreville and a Manassas Pho place. Broth and noodles passed my standard. I'm very critical with my Pho living on the west coast the average Pho is way better than here. It's a small family owned and operated joint. I'd eat here again for sure if I'm in F-burg.

My wife and I went on a Saturday afternoon. We were looking for a good place not too expensive and checked out the reviews on Yelp to help us. This place popped up first on the list so we gave it a try. Service was a little slow at first but the waitress apologized which made up for it. The food was excellent and plentiful. I had the Pho with extra steak and extra noodles. They gave a small dish with jalapeños and bean sprouts on the side to put in the Pho if you desire. I did and the jalapeños were hot but good. I'd stay away from the sprouts the next time though. My wife had the crispy spring roll on rice noodles. For drinks she had the Vietnamese ice tea and I had the lime soda. They were wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A Vietnamese gem in Fberg. Admittedly, I haven't ordered a great variety of things here, but the pho is really tasty, and they serve a vegan/vegetarian pho, which is quite a rarity. The pho is plentiful and inexpensive, and comes in a variety of sizes including giantly shareable. The service is super friendly, pho is really good, food is cheap, and it's a family owned place. An all around winner.

Nothing like good pho to hit the spot when you are sick and have a sore throat. This place delivered on the goods! I had the Banh Canh Tom Thit (pork and shrimp noodle bowl with wide rice noodles) with a house-made lime soda. The pho was very good and beat out the bowl I had in New York yesterday -- so for Fredericksburg, VA I would say that 's pretty good! The lime soda was less interesting though. It was very strong and syrupy -- novel, but nothing I would insist on ordering again. The restaurant is very simply appointed, but the service is very good. i found the Vietnamese lady to be very friendly and amusing. Recommend!

My husband and I were going for Thai, but my favorite Thai restaurant was closed. My husband had never had Thai. Neither one of us had ever eaten Vietnamese before and decided to be give it a go. We were very pleasantly surprised. Lisa was awesome! We allowed her to order for us, as we had no idea what to order, and she did a remarkable job. Everything was steaming hot and delicious. We had the crispy spring roll, which were absolutely to die for. We shared two entrees first was Pho #29 with beef. Oh my goodness, it was good and filling. Second was the Saigon noodle with chicken and it was also delicious, but our favorite was the Pho. Lisa showed us how to sauce our soup and it was so good. We will definitely be back, sooner rather than later!

I had been looking for a local Pho restaurant that had a vegan option, was so happy to read Lambert's review saying that they had vegan pho! My husband was in the area, so I asked him to swing past and get some pho-goodness. He said the staff was very friendly and well informed on the vegan lifestyle. I tried the vegan pho which was amazing and perfect, best pho I have had in a long time. I also tried the Bean Curd Garden rolls, fresh, yummy, and filling. My husband really enjoy his chicken fried rice and said he would get it again. We can't wait to come back.

This is the best Vietnamese food between Fredericksburg and Woodbridge! I have sampled them all by now and I always get excellent food and service here. The ladies usually remember me and my mother and what we usually order even though we don't come all that often.

Ok-Have had better. The pho bowl was good...spring rolls OK- the fresh ones had shrimp and pork...don't care for the pork part. My girlfriends salad she said was good. The lemongrass soup was inedible too salty. I would like to try some other places or something else on the menu. Service was exceptional.

We stopped in here one Friday night after finding them through Yelp! I'm so glad we did. We loved it. Clean, Friendly & good food! Our family is vegetarian & they had plenty on the menu for us & everything tasted great. This will be one of our go to places now!

We went here because of the Yelp reviews. We'd been looking for a good place for cha gio and we thought this place might be worth the trip - and it was. We've been back several times since our first visit. We get vermicelli noodle bowls rather than the pho - never gotten that and we plan to get it and see what that's all about the next time we go. Lots of folks that seem to be eating there every time we go appear to know what the food is all about and they always seem to get pho - so what's not to like!? :) We love the meat skewers - we always get pork - with all the trimmings and the noodles, and the sauces are just lovely, so tasty. The cha gio appetizers are fantastic - we get two orders - love it! I don't think you can go wrong with this place, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a friendly and good place to eat vietnamese food.

We love Pho and go to a place up near Baltimore every week. We were driving through Fredericksburg on the way home from vacation and decided to try Pho Saigon. Cute small Vietnamese restaurant that has a large selection of Pho and some other items. Several regulars came in while we were there. The owner served us and she was adorable. So friendly and very attentive to the kids. The pho is delicious, a little lighter than I am used to but very flavorful. They have a kids menu which is great but they took my sons "off menu" order no problem. Very good and w will definitely go back next time we pass through Fredericksburg.

Good pho restaurant in Fredericksburg. I love pho and mostly because it is good and cheap. Went here for lunch and had the pho with beef, and pork meats. The broth had a lot of flavor and salted to my like. The fresh basil taste was very present and delightful. The location of Pho Saigon is very accessible and the service is good. I recommend this place.

The pho here is probably the best you can get in the area. Not bad but definitely not the best I've had. It's a family owned business and the service is just great

Family run place -- complete with associated quirks of service so don't go if you are stuffy.. ;) Had the golden curry lunch special and really enjoyed it - very tasty. I would definitely return here if I were a local. :)

I'm usually pretty suspicious of strip mall restaurants, but Pho Saigon proves that not everything worth eating is in a downtown or "hip: neighborhood. The Pho is plentiful and comes with a fresh lime, fragrant basil leaves, and more than a few bean sprouts. I've had the Pho w/flank steak, soft tendon, and tripe. It's as tasty as any that I have had anywhere. But the real treat is the Vietnamese Coffee. You brew it at your table and let it drip from it's percolator into your cup. It's deliciously and a can't miss if you like strong coffee.

Went with my best friend here. I've been a long time fan of both Pho Saigon locations and their salon next door at the Salem Church location. I had the rice vermicelli with pork and she had beef pho. We both had crispy spring rolls (to DIE for!) Love the lime soda. Restaurant was clean (as always) as well as the immaculate bathroom. Service was awesome, as always, Barbara and Lisa are the best!

Excellent food and service and won't hurt the pocket book. I think they use a little too much mint, but that's just me. Recommend the Pho noodles.

Had the "Bun" lunch special. It was okay and tasty just not very much. It didnt fill me up, I would have thought they would be able to give more rice noodles? Very friendly wait staff and very fast service during lunch time.
