After getting sick eating a fogo de chao, I needed the healing elixir aka pho broth. This is my first time at Pho 50. It's a large tranquil room with a little light music in the background. I got my standard, Pho Tai. My ratings: Broth 6 slightly sweet and nicely salty. However a bit cloudy and lacked enough star anise. Noodles 5 standard dried noodles (still looking for a place the serves fresh noodles) Meat 5 didn't test fresh, I suspect it was frozen before Total score 16/30. I think this place is comparable to Pho 75, but the meat quality isn't as good. Will definitely give it another try though.

Not as many people go here as go to Pho 75, across Graham Road; and its a shame. The pho is just as good, and the restaurant is clean...and you cannot say that about the other place.

Just have to say, LOVE THEIR VIETNAMESE COFFEE. (could be because i'm pregnant) Pho - 4 out of 5. It's definitely better than other local pho (beside Pho 75). When they first open, for the first two years, they weren't cheap on the beef, and it was delicious but after a while, they skim on the meat and become meh.

After suffering from the all day hangover from hell, the boy and I decided it was time for some sustinence. We dragged ourselves from bed, put on a pair of sunglasses and headed out into the world. Pros: + Large space with lots of group seating for family and friends + This is one of the cleanest pho shops I've ever seen + Generous Portions + Crushed Ice + They accept credit cards + Quick service Cons: + While the broth came out piping hot (I'm still suffering from tongue burns a day later) and was definitely tasty, it was missing some of the deep, rich, beefy flavor that I have come to love. + Egg rolls are stuffed with a mixture of chicken, shrimp and other vegetables but have no taste at all.

For my first real pho experience this was pretty cool. The restaurant is nothing to fuss over, standard large seating area- there were only 6 people including us so service was quick and to the point; food came out within 7 minutes of ordering. I had the #1- it was the rice noodles with steak- it's pretty cool the steak is raw and cooks itself in the broth. I added some spouts and siracha and plum sauce- I went easy at first because I really wasn't sure I'd like any of it by the looks alone but it ended up being delicious and even better with more of the sauces. Pleased with my first real pho experience, my friend said he'd take us to a place down the road but "we aren't ready for that yet". haha

So this is one of those places where I really don't have much of an opinion. It's why I don't like giving 3 stars- they mean nothing. This place isn't that bad... or good. Their chicken in the pho is super cheap, mostly cartilage, and old (i got take out and so they put the chicken separately and when i opened it up the chicken had this rainbow sheen to it- like old deli meat... and I REALLY don't think meat should have a metallic rainbow glow- and for that I take away a star) I thought the broth itself was flavorful after I added everything but I wouldn't go back given the plethora of options in the area.

By far the cleanest pho place that i have been to. My friend and i were actually looking for Pho 75 (which is in the shopping center 2 minutes away) but for some reason our gps kept bringing us to pho 50. Anyway, we walked inside and its big, spacious and CLEAN! We ordered the appetizer egg rolls which were delicious! Its stuffed with shrimp and vegetables and they give you this sweet sauce to dip it in. The pho itself was pretty big for a "small". However, the pho was a little bland for my taste, i was expecting a little more flavor in the broth and in the noodles. I kept adding sriracha and different sauces to enhance the flavor but it still tasted bland to me. -the food came out quick -place is clean -they except credit cards over $10 -and place is big

In Falls Church on a cold February day and craving some hot soup for lunch, and I discovered Pho 50. I very much enjoyed the #5 pho with steak and brisket. A very clean, quiet, and peaceful place with reasonable prices and very fast service. My friend loved the #14, and the fresh spring rolls were perfect. Topped it off with a delicious iced Vietnam coffee. Nice place, good stuff.

Pho 50 used to be my favorite Pho place in Falls Church. That was before I knew any better. Pho 75, which is right across the street, is much better. However, Pho 50 is a comforting, inviting space, and I often find myself here when I am alone and just want to eat my Pho in peace (I came here alone twice last week). The service is perfunctory but quick. Last week, on my first visit my Pho came out before my summer rolls. The next visit, my Pho came out before my Vietnamese coffee. But like I mentioned before, the space is cleaner that Pho 75, and as a single woman, I feel a little more comfortable here. For $.50 more they offer a larger size, but immediately regretted that decision. Unless you are VERY hungry, it really isn't necessary. I will probably continue coming here, knowing full well a better option is within throwing distance. I am okay with that.

Vegetarians beware no vegetable stock. So while the others put in their orders, I chose to stay and order the spring roll without the shrimp. Bad move. The wrap itself was so gummy and sticky that they stuck to my lips and made it impossible to swallow. The filling was so bland there was absolutely no taste. Oh and one more thing I hope you don't need a knife cause they don't have one. Imagine that!! Do yourself a favor if in the mood for Pho don't eat here. Go across the street.

Pho 50 is one of my go to"s can't really go wrong here for pho. I know there is a lot of debate pho 75 vs pho 50 but let's be honest they are both good! I give a slight edge to 50 only because it's a shorter walk for me. Caio

Worst pho I've ever had. The waiter dropped the menu on my table without saying anything( I'm one of the only two customers in the restaurant at that time). No! You don't even need to read any further. You want great Pho, just go across the street to Pho 75! You can literally walk there (but risk getting hit or run over......crazy ass drivers. Yes, asians. I'm not racist. Those are my people and even I can vouche that they (we) are crazy ass drivers). I'll admit, service was fast and prompt. It also doesn't look or seem like the hole in the wall dump like Pho 75 (but as I've said before,.......sometimes these hole in the wall places are THE BEST). It's clean and staff were friendly (of the two seconds we actually saw them). Since it's more of a sit down restaurant, I would have expected water refills and the servers to check on their diners. At Pho 75 it's more of like a cafeteria setting like reviewer Lily V has mentioned. So there if you need water refills, you kind of have to flag down someone or walk up to the register. Which is fine by me since we know their system. The actual Pho was ick. Not great. Better broth at Pho 75 AND you get double the amount of meat at Pho 75 for cheaper the amount. Yes, I like my meat (no pun intended). The spring rolls were ok. You will be doing yourself a favor by walking across the street to Pho 75. You are welcome.

The pho soups are pretty good and the place is nice and very clean! The only complain I have is about the young guy that's there taking your order and payment he has this " I don't care attitude", doesn't greet you or even say "thank you"! Doesn't even come to check your table to see if there is anything else you would like! He's too busy playing his video games and giggling like a little girl! NOT good for business! I would suggest the owners get someone else more customer oriented and take this guy to the kitchen!

My boyfriend and I were craving for pho and resorted to coming to Pho 50 after we found out there was a wait for Pho Sate. I learned my lesson and I'm going to patiently wait at Pho Sate next time because I left Pho 50 feeling highly unsatisfied. We ordered the spring rolls and our typical pho soups. The spring rolls were decent, but tasted just like the homemade ones that I have at home waiting to be deep fried in my freezer. I always get the meatballs with brisket, but they were skimpy on the meat and I had to fill it up with bean sprouts. The broth was flavorless and I had to douse it with tons of sriracha and hoisin sauce. The restaurant itself is clean and there's plenty of seating, but maybe I'll come back to try another non-pho dish here since I work down the street.

Time of Review: *June 28, 2013 @ 12:30pm, lunch for 3 I haven't been here in a really long time, but thought to give it a shot to see what was new. The lunch crowd was a bit sparse which is usually not a good sign for a pho restaurant. Service: * It was very prompt, so no complaints here! The restaurant also appears cleaner and more like a restaurant than a cafeteria, which is typically the feel I get at Pho 75. Food Quality/Selection: * There were all of the usual beef options to choose from. I ordered a large bowl with steak / beef balls, and was a little disappointed at the portion of meat - it was an okay amount, but I definitely get more at Pho 75. Cost: * The prices were average low $7's for a medium bowl to upper $7's for a large. Parking: It's located in a strip mall/plaza, so plenty of parking spaces.

Although this is one of many locations for pho in the route 50 area, in my opinion it is one of the better ones. The price is what you would expect, but the service isn't as good as pho sate down the street. Would recommend it.

With not many pho places near our home, the boyfriend and I always travel to Falls Church when we are craving pho. The most obviously contenders within the area are Pho Sate, Pho 75, and Pho 50. The boyfriend hates their cash only policy and most times we end up here because of it. The place is clean and service is very prompt. We always order a side of their summer rolls and spring rolls, both very tasty. The pho here is generous and although not my favorite pho place to go to, Pho 50 is definitely good competition for the numerous pho places all over the DMV and does satisfy my pho craving.

I have developed a phosession as of late and Pho 50 is photastic and phoking awesome!! Jessus phoking christ! I order #14 with everything everytime. I have noticed when eating at other pho places that the proportion of meat to noodles to soup is off, but here, everything just meshes well and is just rightly proportioned... Just the right amout of noodles for the right amount of meat with the right amound of soup left over. Love it. The soup is incredibly well seasoned and it has that je ne sais quoi that I get when i eat honest/delicious food at home... That homeness to it. Service is always quick and the waiters are all very attentive. The peanut sauce when I get the spring rolls is always always fresh and the herbs for the pho are also very very fresh. Love this place all around.

Atmosphere 3/5 - It was clean and spacious. Pretty normal for a NoVA pho place. Service 2/5 - They bring out food fast but never ever ever check up on you again. It's the norm of pho restaurants but definitely not something I like. Food 2/5 - Got the rare sliced beef (tai) and beef ball (bo vien) pho. The noodles were fine but the soup was almost tasteless. They also awkwardly stacked the slices of beef so they ended up being stuck together. No bueno. Also got to try the grilled pork & rice. Pretty poorly seasoned, tasteless, and strange textured as well. Would not recommend.

Kind of a let down. The waiter was extraordinarily impolite - he asked us what we wanted right after sitting down, and when I said we needed a minute he rolled his eyes, sighed exasperatingly, and walked off until we had to get another waiter. The check was put next to my wife as soon as the food came. I'm sure she didn't mind, but geez. Come on. The noodles were still in a square like they came from a package and under cooked. Hardly any beef in their large bowl, and judging by the prepackaged noodles it's probably the same as their small size with just more broth. I was willing to let that go until I found chewed on what I thought was a piece of beef I had forgotten, only to find out it was a large piece of ginger.

I don't usually like to give poor reviews, but I thought this was time. Pho 50 has in the past easily been one of my favorite Pho place in the DC area--I even think their broth is much, much better than Pho 75 (as well as their summer rolls). However the past three times I have been, the broth has been flavorless and oily and the portions have seemed to skimp quite a bit! I hope that management or money hasn't been an issue--and I hope they get back to their normal way of amazing Pho skills.

The worst Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been. The only server this restaurant had was very rude. I ask for water and spring rolls, and he didn't bring straw neither silverware, and I had to wait for 6 minutes till the server came to my table (no big deal), but the place was so empty. When they gave me the spring rolls they smell so bad, like if they was rotten... I told the sever and he didn't believe me and and I cancelled the order and they wanted to charged me for the rotten spring rolls!!! Of course I didn't... Don't go there, very disappointed.

A good place for pho without the raging aftertaste of MSG. I have been coming here only during early afternoon, so i can't fairly judge the quality of the service. The waiter is reasonably accommodating and prompt for requests like extra basil and a sauce plate.

My wife ordered 2 PHO take out. While preparing pho for my son at home she notice that a half of a ROACH was in the bowl after she poured the broth over, she was wondering where the other half went, it grossed her out so she dump it in the sink...make long story short, she called the restaurant the next morning and asked for the manager, one of the workers said he is not available what do need. She told him what happen with the ROACH in her orders last night. He got very irritated and angry and asked her "what do you want with us?" very rude...instead of apologizing about the ROACHes problem. She told me she always come this place because it is good and convenience but now she has to think twice. she won't go here any more because of ROACHES problem, and a very rude waiter or worker there. WE rated this place down to 1 STAR instead of 4. P.S. don't eat here, so gross....Yucky....if you do, pay attention to your food at all time, you 'll never know what craw/dead under your food....since you are paying for it..... I'm surprised that the reviews for this place are so mixed. It's easily one of my favorite pho restaurants in the area (if not my absolute favorite). It's got a great broth, generous portions of beef, and melt in your mouth tendon (I'm not a fan of the chewier pieces some places serve). As a comparison, I definitely think it's better than Pho 75. It's a little out of the way for me, but every time I make the trek I'm always happy I did it.

Hands down one of my favorite pho places in the NOVA/DC area. They have the best egg rolls in town! I always get the beef pho with all the goodies, and the broth is phenomenal. Delicious and traditional pho, the service is pretty efficient, and the owners become pretty friendly once they start recognizing your face as a regular.

I think I came here out of convenience because it was the closest pho restaurant to a friend's house. The pho is readily available. I don't think I've ever had to wait to be seated. But like most other Vietnamese establishments, they likely won't come back after they've served you. And yes, you do have to walk up to the register and pay. This is expected, AND learned over the years. Their space is cleaner than others, and their broth is a bit tastier than Pho Golden Cow's across the street.

*3.5 stars* I had lunch here earlier this week - coming back from DC on the way to my office in Reston. It was a solid Pho experience - but not in the upper echelon of Pho-rificness. The veggies and aromatics were all crisp, fresh looking and in excellent shape, the lime was juicy! The broth just wasn't as flavorful as others I've had. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't Pho-nomenal. The one thing that annoyed me slightly - was I specifically asked for a lime wedge in my glass of water - I was very particular about this - and he still brought me a glass of water - lime-less. Still, I will come here again. Lots of potential.

Careful when you order take out! Make sure everything you order is in the bag. I made the mistake of not checking and brought home broth and noodles-no mint, sprouts, lime-that whole portion was missing! I love pho. This is one of my favorite go-to places in the myriad of Vietnamese restaurants in the Falls Church area. Pho is great whenever you're sick, tired, hungry, or cold. This place consistently has fast service. You can expect to get your food after a VERY short wait. I feel that the element that distinguishes this pho place from the others (aka pho 75) is the broth. The broth here is very rich and very aromatic without being too salty. The young coconut drink here is pretty good, too.

Two and a half stars. Plenty of parking to be had in this shopping center. Dragging Wilfred along on his vacation to meet some DC Yelpers was fun until the billing fiasco occurred. Taro boba was decent, though I got brain freeze trying to mow through the pearls before they chilled and I was surprised to see the overall drink size be so small. Concerted efforts were needed in our large house combo bowls to separate the slices of beef so it would cook off evenly. Broth was lighter than I would've liked, since I'm one of the purist evangelicals James L was referring to. I'll still kill a bland bowl of broth because I hate waste, but it doesn't mean I haven't noticed the need for flavor and more than a few paltry strands of tripe.

While the space is lovely, welcoming and clean, the same cannot be said for the classic beef pho. At about 11:30am on a Sunday, the broth was thin and greasy, there were miserly slivers of tripe, and a deep inhale of the contents of the bowl revealed a not-so-fresh beef aroma. tsk, tsk pho 50. shame on me for straying from pho 75 across the street!

So, I've come to the conclusion that when looking for a "good" Pho restaurant, you don't take customer service into consideration because apparently no one in the business smiles or is friendly. I went there today for a take-out lunch ONLY out of convenience and I am a PHO-natic. I got the vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and it's delicious. My only issue: I guess that after asking for an extra fish sauce that the man t the register thought that I wouldn't want any Sriracha or plum sauce and he gave me one small container mixed with the 2......oh well, it was still tastey. They were out of egg rolls which I thought was strange...isn't that like a soulfood spot running out of biscuits? The ambiance is nice, definitely not the normal hole-in the wall spot.

This place is amazing because a) all they have is pho. No crazy other dishes. It is delicious. Yum. b) OMG DELICIOUS. c) Crazy fast service. I've never been to any other pho joint that has been so consistently quick with the steaming bowls of savory broth and amazing meat chunks. I also have to give a huge thumbs-up for the Vietnamese iced coffee. It is seriously like liquid mana-crack. Satisfyingly sweet, but not overly so, and an amazing, rich, dark roast espresso. mmmmm.

Great pho. I've tried Pho 75 across the street, and did not like the broth nearly as much. I've only done take-out from Pho 50, so I can't speak to the service or dining experience while there, but I'm always pleased with their food. Just had lunch here today in this place with a friend. The pho was good and consistent. Service was fast and the Vietnamese ice coffee was tasty. I have been here before and I can tell you the meat in the pho is much less these days. May be this is their way to control cost and staying alive in a bad economy and recession. I don't think cutting cost would work personally for a restaurant because consumers are also looking for values in a recession . You have to give people a reason to come to your place to spend money. I'll try else where next time I'm craving for pho before I come back here.

2.5 Stars... All I can say is, I go here when I get upset with Pho 75 for their bad service, or can't go to Pho 75 because it's too crowded. The service is the same as any other Vietnamese restaurant - quick, efficient, and short - just enough not to be rude. The Pho was okay. The broth was decent, the rare steak was pretty good, but the fatty tendons were not really "tendon" but more like the cheaper cuts of fat. In general, the whole soup was pretty greasy. The coffee was okay, but I felt as if it had been standing around in the fridge for a while. Finally, the egg rolls were horribly greasy. It tasted like meat mush was stuffed inside a roll, frozen for decades, then flash fried.

Some of the RUDEST customer service I've ever experienced. I came here with my family, was never greeted by the waiter, and had to ask him where we could sit. After pointing at a table (never spoke to us, only pointed), he THREW (yes, threw!) a couple of menus at us on the table and walked away. We didn't even sit down before leaving. I'm not sure what his problem was, but he was unacceptably rude and I would never spend money to be treated like some kind of animal. Pho 50 to me is like Mecca is to Muslims. I live in Centreville so it's not exactly around the corner, but I've been making the pilgrimage there for a few years now and they know me as the white guy who wants a #1 small, iced coffee to go, and extra limes. The pho has a very solid broth and is well-balanced. I've been to other pho places with broth tasting overwhelmingly of ginger or salt, but Pho 50 does it just right. And they just recently began offering spring rolls! Their crispy rolls are delicious as well. While I would concede that at times their quality does ebb and flow (soup not hot enough, meat over or undercooked, flavor off), I consistently enjoy their pho more than any other pho in the area. They offer a relaxed cafeteria-style setting which may turn off some, and you have to get up and ask or motion for more of anything (water, additional orders), but I appreciate that you're left alone to socialize without interruption. I was recently worried when they began offering lemons with pho instead of limes, but the waiter explained that the limes were all hard and lacked juice at that time of the year. The limes are back now, thankfully. I ask the waiter for extra limes every time I order. At one point the tall Vietnamese waiter turned to the other Vietnamese waiter and said something in viet that made him laugh. I asked what he said and he told me "he said you pregnant". To this day I haven't birthed a child, but I still order extra limes every time I go, and I appreciate that they know exactly what I want when I walk in.

2 stars. My friends seem to like this place a lot, but then again, they have never really had good pho. The broth is pretty bland, you can barely taste the beef stock. Meat wasn't all that great either. Skip Pho 50 if you are in the Falls Church area. Eden Center is not that far up and there are PLENTY of pho places to go to.

I like Vietnamese food in general and frequent a few Vietnamese restaurants in northern VA, however this place ruined my first Pho experience. The bowls we ordered were okay, but we did not enjoy the service. We did not feel welcome and the wait staff was not helpful in any manner. I didn't see any value for our food. I would have been happier with a big bowl of hot water and a few flavor packs out of a 25 cent romain. I'll keep my options open on trying a different Pho shop.

Why do I seem to only write reviews on pho places? Maybe it's the ox tail in the broth. Anyways - had my bi weekly pho craving hit me hard (right in the duodenum I think) yesterday and no one at work wanted to go so I did the "eat pho by yourself like a loser" thing and got a large bowl of pho tai. Pho was good - not amazing, not bad. I enjoyed it and I'll be back. I feel dumb mentioning the service in pho places b/c it's usually apathetic at best and shouldn't be part of the rating consideration - buuuut it was really bad this time. After it took a few minutes to get his attention, I asked the waiter/owner to refill my water and he reacted as if I had asked him to convert to a religion based on the Octomom. He took my glass and brought it back a few minutes later without ice and 3/4 full. Good broth tho!

Ugh, this isn't what I expected at all. So many Pho places out there and this one just doesn't cut it. Ordered the pho with meat balls (looked like grey lumps) which were chewy, no taste and I think soy balls. Nary a vegetable except the cilantro and that wasn't much. I mentioned that I thought the bowl was big but they talked me into a small one which was laden with noodles. The broth was good. But I won't go again. Don't bother with so many more to choose from. Not friendly either!

A note that Pho quality has gone down here - maybe a result of declining economic conditions. The only change from my past review is the broth has become significantly less flavorful. Just a word of warning - maybe best to stick to 75 for now until someone can report back on favorable changes. Alarming because these are the first couple times in my close to year of regular patronage here that this has happened.

Although I believe the pho at Pho 75 to be superior, I give this place half a star more. First of all the pho here is actually really good, secondly the place is super clean. Compared to Pho 75 in Arlington, it's like eating at Mandarin Oriental. Lastly, spring rolls. For these reasons, I'll often drive all the way to Loehmans even though Pho 75 is walking distance from my house.

Pho 50 is very clean looking for a small pho shop. Broth is clear with plenty of beef flavor, but that distinguishing taste of clove and star anise was muted. I was sad they served lemons instead of limes, and they only had bean sprouts, jalapeno, and basil otherwise; times must be tough. A bottle of fish sauce was conveniently located right next to the napkin dispenser on each table though. Their selection of beef combinations was also disappointing, aside from offering multiple meatball inclusive options. It's hardly a place to get excited about, though I've never had any big problems dining here before.

Pretty good Pho -- I am not usually familiar with this "side" of town, although I have been to Pho 75 across the street. I like this place though - the interior is bright, homey, and they have a lot of seating options alternative to the communal seating. Service is ok; the pho came out REALLY quickly, like within 5 minutes! It was not bad too; although i got the meatballs which was a departure from what i normally get. I still think that Nam Viet in Clarendon has the best Pho hands down, in terms of flavor and quality ingredients, but this place did just fine for the time and order of business -- a quick lunch on a rainy dreary depressing day.

I really hope I'm reviewing the right restaurant :/ I ate there a week or so ago and completely forgot to review, but I saw the place on my way home today and it jogged my memory. Well, it was a cold, cold, Janaurary day and I was cold, starving and lost somewhere in VA. I went to get stopped to get some gas and saw this place. So, instead of getting a bag of chips and a hot coco, I stopped in here for some nice hot soup. Like another reviewer said, there's not much for decorating or setting. Just a room full of tables and chairs. I was sat quickly, which I loved because I was more than ready to eat. I was given a menu and the server left. He seemed to walk away and come right back to me. Normally, I'll be happy, but this was my second time eating Pho so I had no idea what to get. I ordered Seafood, which the didn't have. A friend had that a the last place I ate Pho, so I wanted it. So, since I felt rushed I just ordered plain chicken noodle. So, I got my soup, really quickly. My tummy was pleased. It came with some veggies to add and I think a salad. I can't remember. So I did as I saw everyone else around me do and adding my veggies to my soup and some of the thick stuff I thought was soy sauce at first. Anyway, the soup was great! I'm really picky about my chicken and it seemed sort of dry to me. I should have ordered dark meat, but I agreed to white meat since that is first thing the server mentioned. Anyway, service was good and fast. I asked for a fork since I was making a mess and a fool of myself and I got that very quickly. The only bad thing is that they didn't take debit cards and I had to run back to the gas station for some cash. Everyone was nice about it though :) I left nice and warm, even though I had to run through the parking lot to the gas station. My tummy was nice and full and my wallet was happy, too. I think everything was under 10 bucks. I was lost when I found the place, but now that I know where I was I'll go back in I'm in the area. And I'm going to try Rare Beef that Constance suggested.

catching up on some places i've wanted to review, i have to start w/ Pho 50 because i've been here 5 times in the past few months. i've taken my friends from NYC, Brazil, and around here. we all agree that it's one of the better Pho places in the NOVA/DC area (we drive from Bethesda). we've gone on Saturday afternoons, so it wasn't busy. it's in a strip mall so plenty of parking. the place is big, lot's of tables. good for groups. quick service! quick like order soup, wash your hands in the bathroom, get back & ur soup is ready; quick like your soup comes out before your iced coffee is ready. the soup itself is almost perfect. hot. tasty, clear broth. great proportion of noodles & meet. super fresh basil, bean sprouts, lime & jalepeno. definitely one of the better bowls i've had around here. it's a classic Vietnamese Pho house, classic Vietnamese iced coffee. must try!

We went to Pho 50 today for lunch. Delicious. The broth was very good - better than most pho places. A strong beef flavor. Yum! My friend and I both ordered the pho with rare flank steak and meatballs. The meatballs were a little different - very hard and not much flavor. I have never ordered them before so I am not sure i that is the way they are supposed to be or not. Otherwise, the meal was great. The mix-ins are basil, bean sprouts, jalapeno (yum!) and lime. This is one of the better pho places I have been to. The sizes are small and large and the price difference is about 70 cents. Not bad. The large size was huge but that just means more yummy broth. I also ordered the mango bubble tea. Very good too!

The place is clean with a tropical decor. I ordered a small bowl of the house special pho... it was flavorful and not oily like other places. My only beef though (haha) was that they overcharged me for a large bowl instead of the small bowl that I received and wouldn't correct the error. I would of given this place 4 stars otherwise.

Nothing like a bowl of steamy pho on a chilly day and Pho 50 delivered - deliciously, immediately, and reasonably. We were already at Loehmann's Plaza and after considering the other options available there decided to give Pho 50 a try. It was a Saturday afternoon and we were acknowledged immediately by a member of the staff that held two fingers up to represent the number in our party and then pointed to a nearby table and offered us menus when we sat. He was ready to take our order immediately but since it was our first visit we wanted to peruse the menu first but did order beverages. When the beverages arrived, we placed our order. Right away, he brought the plate of garnishes. While I was still picking the leaves off the basil in preparation, the steamy bowls of soup arrived. The broth was fragrant and flavorful, one of the best we've had in the area and contained a good portion of meat. We like to order cha gio with our pho and this followed shortly after - delicious, hot and crispy. Some of the other pho restaurants only serve pho. Having the option to order the cha gio is a definite plus. Small bowls are $6.25, large run $6.99 - a savory and delicious meal at an affordable price. We will be back.

This stuff is great. I'm not sure what happened to everyone else, but the broth here is better than at Pho 75 in my experience. It is better than everywhere else I've been except for probably Four Sisters. It's cheap and big (the small size is plenty) and fast and good. The waiter that never smiles has become my own personal "soup nazi" who I love dearly. Yeah, I'm actually headed there right now. When my wife moved to the area and I took her there we went three times a week for a month. It was always consistent and good. Okay, getting hungry ...

I love their Pho. The people here are pretty friendly. I remember stopping in there to eat with a couple friends and they were about to close, they let my friends and I in to eat when they were closing. I thought that was really nice of them. Their food isn't too expensive either. It's an affordable rate for a good bowl of Pho.

Pho 75 is the hands down DC favorite but it was closed and we just had to have Pho today. Went across the street to Loehman's Plaza to try Pho 50. Broth was very good, light and flavorable - very similar to Pho 75. Round eye beef a bit thicker but good flavor and not chewy. Added benefit for non-Pho lovers is that the menu also has a few other items like vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and spring rolls. Decor much better than across the street and the family running the business very friendly. We'll come back.

your basic Pho shop with the standard items prices were reasonable $6 for small (which is pretty large) and $6.75 for large place was pretty busy 10 tables were being used its pho so they bring the soup out within 5 mins, so its a great choice if your in a hurry there service was pretty weak, no unsolicited water refill, then again you don't really expect service from this type of joint 10 minimum for credit card overall its well worth it and will definitely come again once the food, broth, tasted pretty good compared to the other pho places ive been too

This has always been my favorite Pho place and I've eaten in dozens of them across the country and in Vietnam. While it doesn't quite measure up to Vietnam's quality, it's still pretty damn good.

This use to be my favorite pho place because the broth was not as cloudy and msg willed as other places with a large amount of seating and open area (so important when you have 25 bowls of pho steaming at once) but the last time I went I was eating noodle and all of a sudden I felt something in my mouth...A toothpick!
