Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. Good price, great fries, quick service. I'd come back! The fries were still crackling hot when I got then, and when I bit into the first one... It was perfect. Salted well and just thin enough to have great flavor. The burger was good. But honestly I'm mostly interested in coming back for fries. I'll have to try their milkshakes soon...

Hey! What a surprise! This is a solid burger. Fresh ingredients, grilled well, and some oddly good cheddar cheese. It reminds me a bit of Five Guys, but presented slightly better. If you like Five Guys, you'll like this burger. Fries are another story and need some improvement. They're that shoestring variety and are essentially limp noodles after about five minutes out of the fryer. Price is what you unfortunately expect now for this kind of food. $25 bucks for two regular combo meals is just a bit much for me. They've got some cool shake flavors (apple pie!), but I didn't get to try those out. On the list for next time. Very tough three stars for me. Burger is good, but the fries need improvement. So close to the mythical four... Recommended.

The burger wasn't bad at all, the cheese fries however were so-so. I like that everything is organic, and non gmo. The burger was juicy, bacon was thick, and buns were soft. The burger gets 3.5 stars. The Fries get 2.5, i'm not a fan of this skinny fry movement. They literally just threw on some cheddar shredded cheese, and melted it. Fries were "aight". Pros - Burger is good, juicy, and filling Cons - Cheese fries could use some work.

Maybe I had higher expectations after reading other reviews, but I was not impressed by the burger. Sure it's "healthy " but you lose flavor. No fat, no flavor. It wasn't juicy and they do not cook to order - it was well done. If it's quality meat they should cook to order. Fries were good - I like that they keep the skin on. And the chocolate shake was super thick and chocolatey. Don't think I'd choose to go back but my son liked it (he's 7) so we might go back anyway!
(3)Sam H.
Yummy and halal beef burgers, some of the patties are too big though the beef was juicy and delicious !
(4)Virginia B.
Great beef burger and fries. I'm a new fan. When you eat out you can't always eat healthy, so I was happy to find a dining option that uses quality ingredients. This is what appealed to me when reading the menu. The beef burger did not disappoint. Since it was my first time, I was not familiar with their ordering process and it was busy, I forgot to ask if I could get my burger cooked to order and they didn't ask. It came out well done, which is not my preferred temperature, but it was moist and flavorful and I had no complaints about it. They are good sized burger patties. The order of fries is quite large and cooked perfectly. The burgers, to me, are similar to those at Bobby's Burger Palace, if you have eaten there. It's a specific way to cook them, like the old diners on Long Island that I remember as a kid. I think if you are not used to this style, it's not something you expect and you may be disappointed. I'm happy to pay more for quality food. I was pleasantly surprised by this place and plan to go again when I'm in the area.

Love this place. For those that like Five Guys this is better and better for you. I like five guys but after my son being allergic to peanuts I could only go if he was in day care. Then I found Elevation Burger. Sooooo Good! And made with olive oil so its healthier and i can go with my whole family. This is a must try. I see this company doing very well.
(5)Stinky C.
I would agree about the unseasoned and rather dry burgers, but what really annoyed me was the hot fries. 1) I'm fed up with shoestring fries. Hello! there are many other ways to cut fries instead of following the herd. 2) A portion of fries shouldn't take this long. 3) They weren't fiery hot, so no they didn't make me cry. 4)BUT $4.19 for a small tray of fries!!!! You are joking me!
(2)Linda J.
My second trip there today. I have trouble eating regular burgers and find that i have no trouble with their burgers or fries. Got the kids burger, which was moist, tasty and hot. Fries i split with my mom and them being small cut we both liked. Wished it was closer to us and not an hour away.
(4)Douglas S.
Had a great cheeseburger with mushrooms on it. Fast, clean, and good burgers. I was able to sit outside on a beautiful summer day at table with umbrella.

This place is excellent! I'd give 4.5 stars if it were possible...this particular elevation burger is small so it was crowded and not exactly the best seating arrangement. The actual patties are tasty sans the toppings but they have good quality toppings which make it even better. If your into soft buns (for your burger), you will love their buns. Ha..that was funny to write :-) Expect to pay $10 per person for a meal. We tried it because of a free burger flyer we received in the mail and it was all worth it. We will be back!

Last Saturday the mall was packed so I was bracing for long lines here. All the tables were occupied but fortunately the queue to place your order only had one person in front of me. The person who rang me up was the manager who was friendly and customer-service oriented. I ordered the elevation burger and fries; total cost under $10. It took about 10 minutes to bring out my order which I don't mind at all waiting for freshly cooked food. The Burger was juicy and tasted great but could probably use a bit more salt. The fries were hot and crispy and not too salty. Overall enjoyed it as the food is consistent with other Elevation joints. I love, love the concept of conscientious eating and I feel good about going here.
(5)Lily B.
10 bucks for my lettuce wrapped burger, the lettuce is great for people avoiding carbs or gluten. Very fresh. Not as much selection for extra protein toppings. I would have loved a fried egg. Short varieties of cheeses. But a very juicy burger at what is a typical price and a very fresh lettuce wrap is nice. If a fried egg was offered would have given another star. Sodas are Coke company varieties, they offer shakes, fries, cheesy fries but I just had a straight burger. I would plan on 15 bucks a person minimum if they get a burger with toppings, drink and fries.
(4)Amanda B.
Just because it's organic doesn't mean it's delicious.... I was sorely disappointed by the lack of flavor in my burger and the nonexistent juiciness I have come to expect from similar burger joints. This place is set up like a 5 guys but misleading you to believe they are somehow healthier when I really don't see or taste any true difference other than it's dryer and overall more boring. The burger ain't bad, don't get me wrong I ate the whole thing even if the cheese was still cold and unmelted and the bacon left at the bottom of the skillet burnt. The fries are nothing. To write home about, you need ketchup or the elevation sauce to make it better but even then I threw away most or them and I love fries! :( But let me stop my burger elitist tastes, the service from the team there are polite and friendly and very attentive too you even after you sit down to eat your food asking if people need anything or this and that. That was very impressive customer service even if the food seems to take forever to cook, much too long for the quality of burger I got.... Sorry elevation. You just aren't on par with all the other amazing spots we have around the area and they don't have to use the whole organic thing to get people in the door. Another positive though that I would like to applaud the establishment on is the fact they offer a veggie option and a leaner option where they wrap your burger in lettuce instead of a bun for those that choose that sort of lifestyle. I don't know if I saw gluten free lmao.... :d Mcdonalds double cheeseburger with Mac sauce would have tasted better in all honesty. Melt that cheese and don't dry out your meat elevation, I'll be back again one day.... But not anytime soon.
(3)Marcus F.
My wife and I are foodies and I have to say that this place wowed us. Packed mall- tight schedule- needed lunch....the mushroom Swiss burger and elevation burger hit the spot for us. The fries were perfect and I had no idea they would be this good. I was once a Five Guy loyal customer, but now Elevation has given me another great option.
(5)Jenn M.
My bf and I liked this place. The burgers are a bit small but they are tasty and delicious. I was afraid the Elevation Burger with two beef patties would be too much but after seeing it in person I think this petite, burger lovin' girl would've conquered it! I ended up getting the kid's burger with one beef patty. Still good though! Fries were good, a bit on the skinnier side, wish they were much thicker. Overall, the burgers are good here. Didn't get a chance to try the shakes though. Maybe next time I run into this place I'll give it a try!
(4)Tosha B.
My husband and I decided to stop here after shopping Saturday evening. We liked the idea of grass fed beef and the prices seemed comparable to Five Guys. The burger was good and I could really taste the freshness of the beef. The aged cheddar really adds a nice flavor to the burger, but not sure it was worth the $1.20 upcharge! The fries were my favorite. They are shoestring fries made from real potatoes and were nice and crispy. They were very good and I'm glad my husband and I each got our own order. On our way out I decided to order a milkshake to go. I went with Vanilla because I love a good, pure, vanilla milkshake. Well that $5 milkshake left A LOT to be desired! I was super disappointed in it. It didn't have any flavor.....I'm just not sure how you mess up a milkshake. It was so bad that my husband went to Chick-fil-A and ordered a Vanilla milkshake that was $2 cheaper and tasted WAY better than the one I got. So I would recommend enjoyoing a meal there, but splurge on dessert somewhere else!
(4)Andy K.
Elevation burger is ok. Not something to write home about. I'm not sure if it breaks my top 10 burgers. Price is ok and they use good quality ingredients (at least that's what they advertise) and I can appreciate that. Solid service and decent food. Can do much better, but not the worst decision either.
(3)Dawn m.
Don't ever order the grilled cheese. It's extremely disappointing. They make it with burger buns instead of actual bread. It ends up tasting like a dry cheeseburger without a patty. As for the burgers, they're good enough considering it's fast food. Not good enough to be memorable, not bad enough to complain. Nothing I would ever find myself craving, just a fast food burger. Nothing wrong with that, but that's all it is. Fries are the same way. I like their bottle beverage selection. They have some nice stuff I haven't seen anywhere else. I had a root beer or cream soda or something one time that was one of the better I've had. I haven't tried their shakes but they look really good, wouldn't be surprised if they're the best thing Elevation offers. They also have a coke freestyle here, if you want a fountain drink instead. The staff is pleasant, though some of them are quite younger and deer-in-the-headlights-y. When the place is busy at dinner time the tables sometimes don't get wiped down between customers. Fairly affordable for better ingredients than McDonalds. If there was a Five Guys within 2 miles I'd probably always go there instead of here, but if you're at Fair Oaks to shop already it's definitely convenient.
(3)Antonia N.
Not sure why everyone raves about this place. Yes, it's great they use organic beef but they cook it to death! It is a dried up patty by the time you get it. It has little flavor. There are much better burgers elsewhere.
(2)Beach G.
Ingredients are all natural. Chicken was dry. Fries are so-so. Decor a c- McDonald's on par. Not smash burger or BGR. No alcohol served. Service iffy. Not slow but no personality to this place. One chicken sandwich, one order of fries and a standard burger $16. Not sure I would return. Zero ambiance. Son's burger "oily" upscale fast food nothing special here. I will return to BGR
(2)Jenny H.
OK, I was craving a burger, and this place totally hit the spot for me. I loved their thin, crispy fries fried in olive oil. I also got their burger (one patty), freshly ground meat, with a really good soft bread bun. And I got caramelized onions, jalapeno peppers (spicy!) tomato, lettuce, and sauce on top. Everything is fresh and I would come back.
(4)Kelly S.
Two stars is generous. I came here after getting a flier for a free burger thinking I could get fries and a drink for a cheap lunch. Boy, was I wrong. I ended up paying $10 to get cheese on my burger, fries, and a milkshake. These two stars are solely for the burger, 1 for each expensive slice of cheese I bought. The fries were dull. Probably a 1 on a scale of 10 for shoelace fries. The milkshake was overrated. For a little over $4 you should save the dough. I understand it's all fresh, wholesome ingredients but it's still not worth the price. If you want a good burger and fries take the extra time to drive up the road to 5 guys.
(2)Phillp S.
I have given this place a few tries to "wow" me, but I am sad to say I won't be back ever again despite how close they are to my home (unless I am getting a shake). After waiting 29 minutes for my food... First off, their burgers have no seasoning on them and are very dry. I love a juicy burgers, something I can always expect when going to 5 Guys or Shake Shack. It's almost like they press down so hard on the burger until all of the juices are depleted from the burger (the stage just before hockey puck). I can do 100 times better buying organic patties at Trader Joe's and cooking them on a stove-top. They serve their burgers on their side, so all of the condiments leak out over the paper sleeve. Not only is the burger dry and unseasoned, there is no condiments to put on the burger since they are leaked over the paper sleeve. Their french fries are disgusting. The first time I went there they were raw. It was like eating a hand full of soggy raw potatoes with peanut oil dripping off of them . The next time I went there I asked them to overcook the fries. They were better, but still soggy.
(1)Matthew G.
I stopped here for a late lunch, the staff was super friendly and polite. I received my order quickly. The burger I ordered was pretty good, I would say about on par with, if not slightly better than, five guys or shake shack.
(5)SAMI A.
I love this place. It's clean and the service staff are always professional. The food comes out great and tastes amazing!! Definitely recommend this place.
(5)Mark S.
The burger was a bit dry. Fries were good, but seemed to be very short. I'll probably go to a different burger joint next time. The only reason I liked this one is that you can add up to 10 patties to your burger. I got 3 patties on mine and it was quite filling.
(3)Cyrus M.
I have a Club 7 card where you get a free burger after buying seven. Each time you buy a burger they punch out a 7 on your card. Well, as one might expect, when you punch these sevens at the bottom of a paper card, sometimes the card gets ripped. This was the case with my card. And because it ripped and part of the card had fallen off the employee refused to accept the card as evidence of purchasing seven burgers. See photo I have uploaded. What horrible customer service!
(1)Greg W.
Decent burger place...patties are fresh & grass feed. Not a big fan of their fries, but the place is usually packed so other people like them. Prices are about $4 for s single patty & $6 for double patty. They have BLT's & other items on the menu.

One yelper wrote how he loved in and out burger & how he was unhappy with the Elevation Burger. It is NOT wanna-be In-N-Out Burger (note: there's no "and" in the name of the restaurant). I've been to both franchises before - they have different goals in their businesses. They're both good in their own styles. Their secret sauces are different. Their meat choices are different. Their interior designs are different. I tried the Counter, Five Guys, BGR, Good Stuff Eatery, Shake Shack, and so on. They are different too. The customer services, however, are bit tricky. Some places can be friendliest or lousy service. Everyone gets good day or bad day. I had elevation burger at national harbor and hyattsville. Both gives good food and service. The waiting time can be bit long, but that is expected for all elevation burger places. Anyway, we went to our table then the server called my name & came to my table. You don't get this kind of service at McD's. This place lost a star simply because they forgot to add 3 of my 4 toppings choices to my veggie burger. I corrected them. They apologized and added toppings. The burger is good tho. My partner had BBQ bacon cheddar burger (offered in summer only). She said it's pretty good. They use 100% organic grass fed beef and fried fries in olive oil. I had beef burger & fries in other elevation burger place. It's good too. It's your taste preference. IMO, the best burger I ever had was Umami Burger in southern California. Go there.
(4)Lynn S.
Nice, grab a burger made from grass fed beef with toppings to suit every taste, or if you prefer, a veggie burger and a milk shake or malted. Refreshing idea for a mall restaurant. It's smallish, but has tables and is well-lit, located just inside the corridor as you enter the mall from the Sears/Macy/s parking area. I wouldn't call it inexpensive ($13-15 a person for lunch), but organics products are always going to cost a bit more. My burger was fine, except for the cheese I didn't order which wasn't melted (ate it anyway) and the forgotten request for carmelized onions. The fries were fresh and tasty, but not at all golden, so I assume they were rushed out of the oil. I don't know why since the place was pretty empty when I arrived. My milk shake was very thick, very rich, but alas, only 3/4 filled. My pleasure at finding good food inside a mall outweighed the imperfections.
(3)Tony K.
Good GOOD burger that is organic, tastes fresh , and is just plain ole GOOD. The string fries are just ok. The cinnamon orange tea is to die for since you're supposedly eating healthy...right? LOL The receipt was a little sticker shock at $12 for the 3 items above, but in their defense; the burger was a double, the fries were freshly fried on olive oil, and I could refill my tea as many times as I liked (3 was the magic number for me). The place put me in the mind of Ray's Hell Burger which is no longer among us, but not quite that good. The up side is it's all organic. Oh, and they have outside seating too if you like to watch all the Apple heads running to stand in line for the new iPhone. HA... Bon Apetit'
(4)Lina A.
I absolutely loving it
(5)Sahar A.
I tried the veg burger #1 and #2 they were below average. If oily is your food go ahead and get something . The service however was great, people were nice and helpful . I wouldn't eat there again tho
(3)Ali R.
Went in to Elevation burger and ordered a veggie burger. My burger was FROZEN. They didn't do anything about it except for a "oh I will just tell the cook to cook it better next time" No refund or didn't ask me if I wanted another one. I just left.
(1)Darren N.
The closest thing to In-N-Out I've found on this coast. I had the elevation burger which came with double meat, double cheese (for an extra cost), and whatever toppings you choose. Essentially, a more expensive Double-Double. The burger was good, you could taste the quality of the organic patties. The order of fries had a good crispiness, just the way I like it. They were oily, but luckily they fry it in olive oil so I didn't feel as bad. Overall, it's no In-N-Out, but a good burger spot nonetheless.
(3)Meg G.
What I like about Elevation burger - my husband and son can get burgers and I can get a veggie burger. Try that at Five Guys. The veggie burger #2 was delicious with some cheese on top. Fries were yummy too. Burger and fries were just enough food. I liked that i didn't feel like a huge whale walking out of there. It was just enough to fortify us for the Saturday chaos at Stride Rite. The folks working in the dining room were nice. One of them brought my son a balloon. Balloons make toddler's days. Things to work on - there was no explanation to me on the way toppings work. I didn't see til after the fact that there was an "elevation style" in regards to topping. Instead of just staring at me when I ordered a veggie burger, maybe ask "would you like it elevation style?". My toppings were fine as i ordered them, but it was an awkward transaction. Super yummy. Will come back for lunch next time i'm shopping at Fair Oaks mall. I work nearby, so maybe i'll stop in one day for lunch as well.

I ate here on a weekday at 11.30 am. It was not crowded. There was no line and service was friendly, and efficient. The place is clean, light and airy and the staff is always busy cleaning and refilling dispensers. I ordered a "kid burger" because I only wanted one patty. Bacon, blue cheese (dressing) and M & K were added for no charge. The patty was 2.5 to 3 oz., cooked medium well. The bun was fresh, soft and I don't believe it was toasted. The bacon was crispy and seemed to be present in every bite. There was nothing special about the burger, but it was quite tasty. I think most of the flavor and texture came from the bacon. The "kid burger" cost $6, the price of 5 McDoubles. I don't think it offers much value compared to a Freddy's Double or 5-Guys burger. Way way overpriced. Further research shows I may have been charged extra for the bacon and blue cheese ($2.09) although the receipt reflects only the $6 flat charge. At $4 the kid burger would be merely overpriced, not "way way" overpriced.
(3)Miyuki L.
I prefer to eat here when I am at this mall. I usually get a kid burger with cheese and elevation sauce. The burgers taste great, the fries are good altho I rarely get fries because I am trying to be healthier :) BUT those cookies, they may not look like much but they are soooo yummy. I also love that they have the coke machine, lime coke... delicious. The people are typically friendly. It is super clean in there and fairly fast with service. You can also use their frequent buyer card which is a definite bonus.
(4)Big S.
I'm new to the area and just tried this place. My family and I loved it. Best fries I have had in a long time! We will definitely be back.
(5)J H.
Just ate here for the first time. Their burgers are amazing. Very fresh and taste very home-ey. Bacon was delicious. I got the coffee shake with Oreos and Black Cherries. Highly recommend this combination! No comment on the staff as it was very busy. But they seemed cordial enough when they rang us up.
(5)Kevin C.
I love In and Out Burger, and I appreciate Elevation Burger's attempt to replicate it. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. However, the food and service falls short. I gave it a shot, but I won't be back.
(2)Jini K.
Elevation burger receives a solid 3.5 star rating from me. The things I love about this place: veggie burgers 1 & 2 are delicious (2 is my personal fav though), the loyalty cards at the register, elevation sauce is incredible, service is generally helpful, and the food is affordable and satisfying. Onto the negatives: there is no whole wheat bread option for those of us that are health conscious, but don't want to eat a burger in a lettuce wrap, the place can get very crowded during peak times, the pre-made salads could be much better (why not offer adding the burger patty to the salad ala subway, as an option), and a lack of fries options (sweet potato, anyone??). Overall, this is my favorite place to grab a quick bite when I'm at the mall, but it shouldn't be confused with more upscale burger joints (The Burger Joint, Kraze Burger, Thunderburger, etc).
(3)Frank F.
Outstanding!! If you want a delicious burger that is also healthy, Elevation Burger is the place to be!! Sure there are other burger places that are also good but I love the taste and Elevation sauce! Milkshakes are amazing!!
(5)Wesley C.
Came here for a "quick" lunch with a group and was pleasantly surprised that despite our "dieting," that the burgers seemed to be "acceptable" for our cause. They have caloric estimates of everything on their menu (including toppings/condiments for the burger), which I found very helpful, and I'm pleased to support them in their effort to provide sustainable, healthy, locally sourced food. I had the elevation burger and I'd say the beef is definitely more flavorful (a little on the salty side) than most of your run of the mill burger chains. The fresh ingredients are key to the success of this burger though. I resisted the fries, but in the end, broke and downed half of my niece's coffee-mango-oreo shake. Hey - don't judge. It tasted a little funny at first, but then the coffee-oreo took over - and well, the rest is history. All in all, tasty and we will definitely be back when we're in the area and wanting a good burger.

2 stars, cause it's not as bad as McDonalds. I am writing this with my 11 year old son after trying out Elevation Burger in the culinary wasteland that is the Fair Oaks Mall. The burger patties are dry and have little flavor. There is no 5 Guys goodness here. The burger itself is half-wrapped, so is instantly cold. The burgers are unlabeled, so it's a treasure hunt into the burger as to which is which. The standard toppings are not flavor balanced, with overstuffed lettuce for filler, and the long pickle slices overpower everything. We tried a burger with custom toppings. The worst were the canned, mushy jalapeños, a lonely pair of caramelized onions and dry tomato. But canned jalapeño slices? For me, that's a deal-breaker. Canned jalapeños have no relation to healthy fresh food. The level of quality and smooth operation at 5 Guys is nowhere to be seen here. Employees wander the dining room calling out people's names. Some workers are friendly, others are obviously fed up with explaining to yet another customer that they must choose the toppings they want on a burger. My son's comment is that the dining room has a huge exterior door, which upon opening, makes sure everyone is alert and wide awake with a blast of icy air. Napkins fly around the room, and the drinks stay nice and frosty. My son says the additional options on the burger such as cheese (.50), bacon (1.39!) and mushrooms (.50!) are too expensive. He says that, "at 5 Guys it's ok to pay for cheese and bacon because they put a lot more effort into it." His advice? "Just go to 5 Guys. It's better."
(2)S W.
Kudos for having a VEGAN burger!!! It was...fine. So happy to have it on the menu! Fries were inedibly salty.
(3)keun k.
Been here several times. One thing I can't stand is soggy burgers and smoothed up greasy fries when you do take out. The burgers are fine when you eat at the restaurant, but unlike five guys, never do take out here. The burger taste like a ball of grease ground up in a blender. Fries taste like plastic after 10 minutes. And what burger joint doesn't offer malt vinegar nowadays? 2.4 stars because the service is pretty good, staff is extremely friendly and good is ok when you eat in. Otherwise 1 star....
(2)Linda C.
My first time trying an Elevation Burger...maybe I had my hopes set too high, but I wasn't that impressed. First of all, why is a single patty labeled a "Kid's Burger"? I asked the guy at the register if it was considered too small for an adult, and he said no it was a standard size burger. A regular "elevation burger" is actually a double patty, which was too much hamburger for me. I went with the "Kid's Burger" and added a few toppings. Although the base price is cheap at $3.79, they do nickel and dime you for many of the toppings. My $3.79 burger ended up being more like $6. While the burger was okay, it did not seem that much better than a burger from say, Red Robin. In fact, I kinda like Red Robin better, even if it isn't organic and "grass-fed." But that's just me. I know organic is supposed to be better for you, but this fare just didn't seem to be worth the trip. We also ordered a milkshake, which was forgotten when the food arrived at our table. After a reminder to the server, it still took another 10 minutes to get to us. I know they just opened recently, so perhaps they are suffering from opening jitters, but still.... Table layout needs a bit of tweaking. I unfortunately chose a table that was placed too close to the trash cans and was bumped and jarred several times as folks (including workers) knocked into me as they threw away trash. I finally took it upon myself to push the table and chairs further away from the area. My bad for choosing that seat, but the design folks should also know better. On the plus side, the place was clean and they have those cool Coca Cola machines that give you 78 different choices of soda/water/sparkling beverage. The fries were also good, not greasy and very tasty.
(2)Stacey J.
Burger tasted frozen not fresh. Fries were soggy and gross. I would assume skinny fries would be crispier. I'd like to give this place another try but I'm scared. Don't want to waste my time.

Let set things straight, I liked it because it was organic food. The burger was good, It would go on the edge of above average. Maybe the toppings will change your rating. The fries was average before I place my next order of the fries with cheese, onion and their speciality sauce, that fries was a KILLER, a five stars. So I guess it is all about what you load your burger and fries with. Go beefie/veggie, go organic,

In many ways this is your typical burger joint, especially in terms of look, taste, and feel. The comfort I get from eating here, however, is that they claim to be all-organic, using beef made from cows that are only grass-fed. They also encourage recycling, and use environmentally-friendly fluorescent lighting. The average american consumer should feel less guilt eating their burger at a place like this. I ate here on a busy Friday afternoon with my mom and sister. The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant, clean. We all ordered the "kids burger," because a normal burger is served with two patties for some reason. It also costs extra for toppings like cheese and certain sauces. Not the cheapest burger, but this chain is pushing their environmental-friendliness to draw customers in. I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here, but wouldn't call my first eat-in my last one, either..

I was pleasantly surprised by elevation burger. I figured it would be a standard burger joint, but I was so wrong! It's the closest thing that I've had to In N Out since I left the West Coast. Everything is made fresh, is organic, grass fed, and the fries are made in olive oil. I also love that they offer lettuce wraps for the burgers. I don't know why this location has some bad reviews, everyone was nice, my food didn't take long, and it was brought to my table. I haven't tried getting anything to go before so I don't know how the food stands up, but overall I'm really glad they now have a location in Fair Oaks Mall. It beats standard mall fare.

Worst burgers ever. No flavor, they claim to use fresh vegetables and the jalapeños are pickled jalapeños. The cashier mistakenly didn't charged my little sister's lemonade and she had the courage to come and ask for us to pay for after the fact, when it was her mistake. I asked to get a drink refunded since we also paid for another drink. She said since we already touched the cup she couldn't do it. Better choice go to SmashBurger or for that matter, McDonalds.

When a place gets ratings all over the board like this place is getting, it's usually due to either growing pains, a lot of people not "getting" it, or a place that has good food and crappy atmosphere (or vice versa). In this case, I have to think it's a little of everything, because I didn't see them drop the ball in any one particular area. I thoroughly enjoyed my burger. The meat was delicious, and the toppings were fresh. The fries were also good--but as others pointed out, they do not travel well (dine-in only these fries!) However, they just don't stack up to Five Guys fries. The dining area was clean and well organized, and the staff was friendly. My only complaints are that the food seemed to take a little longer than it should have, and as others said, you are paying extra for things like mushrooms. Still, it's one of the best food options at the mall.

This was my first trip to Elevation Burger and I didn't think it was too bad. I got just a regular burger with lettuce, tomato elevation sauce, it was hot and had good flavor. However, I don't think there is something that is off the charts that I would go there every time I wanted a burger. The restaurant itself was neat and clean and the staff was efficient.

I love Elevation Burger, even more so than Five Guys and Shake Shack. Some people might think that's crazy but these burgers are always great. The only downfall is that their fries are very...meh...I haven't tried their veggie pattie but I've heard it's good. I always get most of their toppings but they are not very generous with their sauces. I always get my burger with the elevation sauce but I don't think I've ever truly tasted it...maybe I'll get it on the side next time. Although it is in the mall, the location is convenient; it is in the small entrance to the LEFT of the 2nd floor Macy's (Men's and jewelry section). Overall 4 stars.
(4)Mel M.
The Good: Burgers are tasty and FRESH, olive oil fries are delicious. BETTER THAN SMASH BURGER and KRAZE. The bad: Not enough space in this location. People cram in the entry way waiting in line to order. Dining area cleanliness could be improved.
(5)Jack F.
Fairly plain looking place tucked in at one end of the mall. Very crowded the afternoon I stopped in, so it took a bit of time to get my food. Got the regular burger which is a double patty, if you aren't as hungry a single burger is still not a bad size. Added cheddar, mushrooms and elevation sauce - not thrilled about the extra cost for the mushrooms which are free at Five Guys. Speaking of the comparison, the burger was nearly as good as Five Guys and definitely less greasy - a pretty good, healthy alternative. The fries are fried in olive oil and they gave me a good portion of them. Fantastic when piping hot, but then instantly terrible the second they cooled down. Which was a problem because I was picking up the other single burger and rest of the fries to bring home. The food doesnt hold as well as Five Guys so definitely be sure you can eat it right there. 3.5 stars

Since it is a burger place, i am rating the taste of the burger. You cannot compare this place to in n out burger. I have to disagree with other yelpers. Sorry. Taste of the meat was eh just ok. The fries were good tho. It is thin but meaty and crunchy at the same time. The fridge: they need to move the fridge for the drinks somewhere. The door of the fridge was so close to the wall that it is impossible to get drinks from it. Unless u break your hand. Maybe so anyone wont steal any drinks?? Lol.

I like Elevation Burger in general, but I won't eat at this one again. While the burger was fine, my fries were distinctly sub-par (despite being very busy, my fries had clearly been sitting too long before they were served). The biggest issue, and the reason I won't be going back, was the service. While the casheir was friendly enough, he and his supervisor refused to accept my fully-punched Elevation Burger loyalty card for a free burger patty because they"don't accept those ones." And what was wrong with it? At some point while it was in my wallet, they changed the design of the cards, but nothing about the program itself. Apparently changing the color of the card invalidates it. With all of the other burger options in the area (Five Guys, Smashburger, BGR, etc), I'm done with this place.

Organic meat ... free range beef ... blah blah blah. Haven't we heard it all before? Although this is one fresh tasting burger, is that what you're really coming here for?? The ingredients are quality - there's no denying that. I couldn't squeeze a dribble of grease out of that patty if I tried. But again ... is this what you're really looking for in a burger? I know I'm not! I opted out of ketchup for the elevation sauce, which I couldn't even taste. This made the burger extremely bland and boring. The fries were OK, but lacked salt and I don't really understand why they decided to do shoe string fries. Overall, the food was OK, but I haven't found a local burger joint yet that would make me betray my neighborhood five guys.

This is the second Elevation Burger location I have been to. I would like to start by saying my review is not a statement of the restaurant itself, as I really enjoy the food, but this location. I went to this location after a long day of pre-holiday (aka last minute... cough cough) shopping. It was extremely busy and we had to wait in about a 15 minute line to get to the counter. When I order the Half the Guilt burger I chose to get it with the veggie patty number 2. It took me about 10 times of trying to explain to the person taking my order that I wanted it with the second veggie burger. They explained to me about three times what I was ordering, which I knew, as I had been to another location. I began extremely frazzled. Then the two soda machines were both slightly broken, one without carbonation and one without enough syrup. Finally our food took a while to come out. The food was good and the veggie burger 2 is absolutely delicious. I think the main addition that makes this place as good as it is is the cheese! Definitely worth the $0.60. Overall the food is good, they just really need to work on their service.

First visit: Awful, one star. I did not write a review, but I should have. At 230pm on a Sunday, my vegan burger and fries took 23 minutes to arrive. The burger was good but not especially hot. The fries were fresh and tasted great, but once they grew colder they weren't nearly as tasty. What bothered me the most while I waited what felt like forever for "fast food" was that two employees were sent on breaks to eat their burgers BEFORE ME. A lack of experienced management is evident. Second visit, about a month later: Somewhat better. I only stopped in because 1) I really wanted a veggie burger and 2) the place was almost empty at 1130am on a Sunday. I had high hopes, and my food came out in 6 minutes, which is great. Something about the vegan burger doesn't taste especially fresh. It is understandable to freeze them, but they could be a bit better. I really am pleased that they cook them on a separate grill. The poor employee performance continues as the guy cooking the fries is snacking constantly while he works -- really, dude? Not at all sanitary and rude. Again, any sense of management is clearly not in place here. I'll probably stop in every now and then. I hate that a veggie burger, fries, and soda top out around $9, but the food is moderately good and when I'm at the mall, it is the only place to get a solid veg meal. If only the service were consistently faster and more professional.
(2)Shannon H.
Finally got around to trying out Elevation Burger. I like that the food is local/grass-fed/organic, and the burgers were delicious. They do it very much like five guys but with better quality ingredients. The fries are good. Personally, I like Five Guys fries better, but my husband liked these more...it's not a huge fan of Five Guys at all. It's pretty expensive, but we would go back for sure.

This is a review for those who are trying to keep it long and lean, while saving some green, ya know what I mean? Let me tell you what I get. Double veggie #2 (doesn't have cheese in it like veggie #1 but still many people I have talked to think its superior), get those bad boyz ~lettuce-wrapped~ with no cheese (save 50 cents per slice), sum mo' lettuce, extra tomatoes, pickles, caramelized and raw onions, hot pepper relish (it's kinda hot), jalepenos, and more tomatoes got daymm i love tomatoes. For this order you probably just need to worry about the patties nutritional info: Per Veggie #2 patty: calories: 320 fat: 10g saturated fat: 1g cholesterol: 0mg sodium: 940*mg carbs: 50g fiber: 5g sugar:6g protein:10g fruit/veggies 0.25 cup The total for this order is $5.76 so you're gucci. You gotta pretty stacked lettuce wrapped burger, and you got all those toppings without having to pay more for any of them. It's kinda expensive but my buddy reminded me that it's about quality (idk). I used to work here and would see people come in and spend 12 bucks on a burger with fries (2.69) and a drink. WHAT? That's two chipotle burrito bowls. i'd be standing there behind the cash register watching their reactions as I told them it's that much and I knew they'd be thinking the same thing I was, "you don't want to spend that much money on fast food." Anyhow I hope I could help someone out. Give my order a go and mark it as useful if it did any good. - Frank

We decided to stop in at the end of a long road trip to satisfy a craving for cheese burgers and fries. The location is in the Fair Oaks mall, but there is an exterior entrance to directly to the restaurant. We stepped to the front of the place and placed an order for two cheese burgers, fries and two shakes. Uh oh..."Sorry sir, we ran out of cheese" How do you run out of cheese at a burger joint? Cheese isn't a high spoilage product! You can have tons of it in your walk-in and never worry about it going bad before you use it! We'd already committed, so we accepted our order without the cheese. We killed the two shakes on the way home (only delicious part of the meal really) and snacked on the fries for the 5 mile trip to our door. One more note before the food...the layout of this place stinks. The food comes out incredibly slow, so you get a pile of people all standing in the middle of the dining area waiting for their food. We're talking butts to nuts and this was almost empty at 4PM on a sunday, so I can't imagine how this place would work when it's packed. Back to the food...The fries are interesting - fried in olive oil, so they have a distinct flavor and good crispness when hot. Unfortunately they were very under seasoned as well, so as they got to room temperature, they ended up just tasting like old potatoes drenched in olive oil. Unfortunate really, but when 5 guys is actually on their game their fries are vastly superior to Elevation. Finally we got to the two burgers. Limp lettuce, anemic tomato, the lightest smear of "Special sauce" ever and two burned-to-a-crisp patties with zero seasoning. HUGELY DISAPPOINTING. Dry, flavorless and depressing like one of those hockey pucks you wind up with at your neighbors annual cookout. A complete waste of money. Don't believe the reviews, this place isn't anywhere close to the worst in-and-out burger. It's barely even comparable with old left-over Five Guys (even considering their poor quality-control). Worst of all, 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 shakes that were below average ran a total of $25. Not a lot of value for a below-average burger joint. The shakes were really good, it's just that everything else was a waste of calories.

I've eaten here twice; once in the restaurant and today I picked up a 10-person order for my co-workers. The food isn't bad, as I enjoyed the first meal I had. The burger lacked a little flavor, but overall I had no complaints. Fries are pretty good and taste like the love child of McDonald's and Five Guys' fries. When the food is fresh, it's worth checking out. The elevation sauce is okay. Not my cup o' tea, but not horrible. I rate it below IN N OUT. ONLINE ORDERING I would not recommend ordering from here for a large take-out order for the following reasons: 1. The burgers are not completely wrapped and are not labeled, so when you have a large order, it's a bag full of random half-covered burgers. Thus, figuring out which burger belongs to who becomes of fun game of touching other people's food. Also, since the burgers aren't wrapped they lose heat incredibly quickly, guaranteeing that they will be cold by the time you eat. 2. The two shakes we ordered were forgotten about and made last, while our burgers and fries sat for an extra five minutes or so. 3. Although the online ordering system contains an item called "Fancy Fries (w/ cheese)" this does not exist anymore. I was told that you can add topping to fries to make them fancy, but that they no longer have the cheese sauce. Would've been good to know before I ordered cheese fries for the extra dollar. The staff was friendly, though and were as accommodating as they could be regarding some of the mix-ups. And luckily they let me use twoof the punch cards on my order, which resulted in me getting two free patties on my next visit. I will note that I tend to feel better after eating here vs. five guys. Not sure if it's the grass-feed cows or what, but I do hate myself less than I expected this afternoon. That's not sarcasm, I physically feel good. Five Guys' online ordering process and consistency is far better and will continue to be my go-to restaurant for large burger-related work orders.

The fries portions are pretty big and the veggies burger decent. 'nough said.
(3)Jennifer C.
This review is for their vegan burger only. I really liked it! It was nice and light and you could really see veggies like broccoli and corn, whereas most veggie burgers are loaded with beans, rice and soy and leave you feeling really heavy. As for the Elevation special sauce, I'll agree with the other reviews in the sense that I didn't really taste it. I enjoyed their fries too, but it's usually hard to screw that up. This will be my go-to when I get a craving for a (vegan) burger!

Not at all shitty.
(3)Charlie P.
The cheeseburger burger was good. Somewhere around the flavor of 5 guys burger. Only smaller. It took a while to get served - made to order... The fries were better, in my opinion, than 5 guys. More expensive than 5 guys though. Cheeseburger and fries (no drink) was $10.05. Was the "organic" worth the premium? Prob not to me... All in all - a neutral experience.

I saw this business pop up on Yelp and reading the reviews, seeing the pictures, and glancing at the menu I thought to myself "could it be an In N Out replica in NoVA?" Needless to say I was excited coming here. The Good: -FRESH. This is something they make sure you know, everything is fresh and organic. It comes across in the flavor of the burger as you can tell everything is fresh. -TASTE. Is it In N Out? Well....not quite. But it is close. Ways to make it better would be to toast the bun like In N Out does and also the "Elevation Sauce" isn't quite as tasty as In N Out's Thousand Island. If In N Out was a 10 on the taste scale and Five Guys being a 6, Elevation would be a very respectable 8. As for the fries, similar to In N Out they are freshly cut and quite tasty. The So So: -PORTIONS- Smallish burger with very little meat. Yes In N Out's burger is similarly sized but is a lot less. The Bad: -PRICES- Part of what makes In N Out the phenomenon it is its amazingly cheap prices. For $5 (+tax) you get a decently sized burger, generous portion of fries, and a coke. The Elevation Burger by itself costs 5.29. My meal (fries and drink) cost over $10 with tax. NOPE. That's a deal breaker. "But Jordan, their food is organic." That's fine and dandy, but honestly I don't care. In N Out isn't organic, but their ingredients are fresh and to me that is what matters in making the burger taste good. For the same prices, nearby Smashburger offers a larger burger with more meat and while Foster's isn't as good, it too offers better value and a larger meal. So Elevation Burger, In N Out copy cat that just misses the mark. Want a good burger go to Smashburger a mile a way.

The burger wars have begun in Fairfax and I feel like they were made just for me. I love a good burger. Needless to say, I was so excited to try Elevation Burger. Grass fed, organic beef? Please and thank you! We arrived just before the influx of hungry Saturday mall-goers. And since I've gone Primal, Elevation Burger was exactly the kind of fast food I could have. I ordered their standard burger--two beef patties plus cheese. And, since I am snubbing grains these days, I took them up on their option to wrap my burger in lettuce. The meat was perfectly cooked and juicy. Very, very, juicy. I'm not exaggerating when I say that an ounce of juice collected in the bottom of the paper sleeve holding my burger. The cheese reminded me of the yellow american that the lunch ladies stuffed into the cafeteria grilled cheese of my high school days--I mean that in the best possible way. And here's where things fell apart. I bit into the juicy meat bomb and my heart deflated. It was juicy, but that was about it. There was hardly any flavor. I understand wanting meat of this caliber to stand on its own, but it could use a little seasoning to shine. The husband ordered his with pickles. He claimed that boosted the oomph of his burger. Verdict? Smashburger is still in the lead for my burger love. Can't wait for Freddy's to open on Rt. 50 to see which beef purveyor will will my burger devotion.

Not sure if I hit this place on an off day, but burger and fries were very underwhelming. As mentioned by some other reviewers, if you don't eat the fries within a few minutes of being served, they turn bad in a hurry. I did take out and by the time I got to my car, the fries were already unappealing - almost slimy because of the sogginess and grease. The burger was actually more of a dissapointment. Ordered just their standard double patty burger with their elevtion standard toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles and a tomato based sauce) as well as some caramelized onion. Was hoping the minimal condiments would help bring the beef flavor out. Honestly, the first words I thought of after biting in were - hockey pucks. Instead of a couple of nice juicy patties, they were extremely overcooked so they were unpleasant to bite through and had no moisture whatsoever. Usually on a nice burger you have juicy inside, and if they get it really right, a nice thin crust on the outside. I think the burgers I had were both about half dark chewy crust with a little bit of grey meat on the inside. The sauce, pickles and vegetables weren't enough to make the burger appealing.
(1)Adrienne W.
Their food is DELICIOUS, customer service great, and clean tables. The staff are more like servers, circulating to make sure guests are happy. Finally, 5 stars because as I waited, I noticed a staff member see the same 3 crumbs I find and sweep them up . I love this place.
(5)John W.
I was surprised that this was not better!! There was so much hype about its opening. The burgers were ok, but it did not distinguish itself from any other burger place, smash, etc.......Still not as good as five guys in its reduced state. Probably my third or fourth choice in burgers....
(2)Bill P.
This is a new site for the Elevation Burger chain. It is located with other food establishments on the upper level hallway between Sears and Macy's at the Fair Oaks Mall. It is at the end of the hallway at the mall entrance. The restaurant has entries from the mall and from the outdoors. Although new the restaurant was operating smoothly. The food and service were on par with the chain's other local restaurants. I had a Veggie Burger #1 with their traditional toppings and jalapenos and hot pepper relish. I also had french fries and a soft drink. The fries were fresh. I love their fries which are cooked in olive oil. Coca-Cola Lifestyle machines dispense the soft drinks. These machines serve over 100 Coke products. I enjoyed my meal there and will no doubt return. I recommend that others give it a try.

"I still haven't found what I am looking for" This trendy burger joint is just sort of eh. I have been to several other Elevation Burger locations as well. Basically to sum it up, you pay $5-$7 or more for a burger that is very similar to a Wendy's burger. Although mine today wasn't was really greasy, salty, and well over cooked. I do like their fries. I really don't think I will be back. Fair oaks mall is really lacking in cheap eat selection with no food court, so I guess if you are in a bind and need a bite this is another selection.
(2)Lee S.
Outstanding service, it is a wonderful place to go with a baby. The people working there are the most courteous I have come across in a long time. Food comes out freshly made, very satisfied customer!
(4)Jim L.
I dont even know where to start. First of all our fries did not look like those in the picture they were non-exsistant, as thin as spaghetti noodles. The container wasnt even half full of fries either. This was our first time in an elevation burger so we didnt know what to expect. Now I feel like we should have complained after seeing what our meal SHOULD have looked like. The burger was dry, unseasoned and plain. The "Grilled cheese" was a hamburger bun flipped inside out with a little cheese melted. We both had stomach aches for a day after. Not sure what caused it. We both left still very hungry and my companion went next door for more food. This place is expensive to still leave hungry. I won't return. Also to note, they bathroom WAS NASTY and there were NO paper towels. You know what they say about a dirty bathroom, dirty bathroom even dirtier kitchen. UGH. Elevation burger sucks. I don't know why other yelpers are comparing EV to Five guys, they are not even in the same CLASS. YOU CAN'T even compare the two it's insulting to five guys!
(1)Leslie F.
Although burgers are NOT cooked to order get over it. Aa a place like this I would be surprised anyways typical add ons (cheese and bacon) are at a cost - low. Glad hubby and I decide to split fries because the portion was huge besides being delish. Check it out! Service was quick and friendly even going at lunch.
(5)Michelle B.
I'd rather have toast. The burgers were near flavorless and the fries were just sad. I'd only eat here again if I was with someone that was DYING to eat here and nothing else would do for them. And then I'd still try to talk them into anything else. A lot of people make the Five Guys comparison - Five Guys is yummy and the burgers taste like burgers - yeah, they're greasy, but it's because it's made with actual cow that had actual fat on it's actual body. When you're talking burgers, fat = moisture and flavor. Strip it out and you've got a dry, flavorless, hocky puck on a bun. Burgers aren't health food, so why bother trying to make them "healthy?"
(2)Parabelle K.
Terrible service. Huge line and teenage pimply "crew member" chatted up his buddy standing over to the side instead of taking our order. He never said hello or looked us in the eye. It took 10-13 minutes for 3 milkshakes to go all the while standing cramped in the corner with two small children. This is beyond "a few kinks". Wouldn't go back. Wouldn't recommend.
(2)Milo R.
Goooood burgers & the QUALITY is amazing but it's missing abit of flavor. Check out the quality ingredients at elevationburger.com/EB.p… The staff and service is amazing, the best service I've ever experienced in a burger joint, it was surprising. I think it's because it's a new business and it just opened. I think this place falls as number 3 compared to Good Stuff Eatery and Shake Shack.
(4)Greg S.
Great burger. You can really taste the difference in grass fed beef. Service was quick and friendly. Restaurant is clean and bright with good seating. Their club card is a nice incentive as you get a stamp for every beef or veggie patty purchased. The burgers are a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it.
(4)Devin M.
First and last visit. This place was expensive, very small (overcrowded), customer service sucked, and lastly the food was awful. I understand the organic meat being the highlight, but I go to a restaurant for the food. Ordered 2 "elevation burgers" and 2 fries for my girlfriend and me and the total was $25 (no drinks)! Paid and looked for seating which took 10 mins before a spot was available. 10 more minutes later my food was ready ... took 20 minutes to cook burgers and fries ... really?!?!?!? (five guys turns out 2x's the customers). Finally get to eat and the food was bland and fries just made it worse. Did receive a punch card for future visit lol
(2)Jay D.
Simple...the organic burgers sucked. The amount of grease dripping off of these didn't help. The service at the counter sucked and was not helpful. Sorry buddy, but you applied to the job, it is not the customers fault that you are miserable. I will NEVER return!
(1)South Riding M.
I love this place. Our family only eats organic so this puts a limit on where we can eat out. I love that I can get organic food and have a burger wrapped in lettuce. They way they wrap the lettuce around is really nice still messy as with any burger. Fries are also cooked in olive oil. My kids love it. They also have a loyalty card which is great since I am a frequent flier there. Wonderful to have a restaurant that actually gives an actual care of their customers health. Wish there were more like this. Love to see them in South Riding.

I was excited to give Elevation Burger a chance. I've heard that this Five Guys competitor gives them a run for their money. In my book, it's not as good as Five Guys and it's more expensive. Looking at the menu, I realized that Elevation Burger was going to be more expensive then I wanted to pay for lunch. I almost left Elevation Burger right away, but didn't because my only other "quick food" options were Chick-Fil-A, which I refuse to go to, and Sbarro, which is notorious for nasty food. The burger appears as if it's going to be inexpensive with a $5.29 price tag. But that will only get you a plain two patty burger with no cheese or toppings. Elevation Burger makes you add on everything with a price. At Five Guys, you can order a two patty burger with cheese, bacon, and mushrooms for $7. At Elevation Burger, that same burger will cost you nearly $9. The cheese is $1 extra, plus the bacon, $1.40 more, and the mushrooms $.59 more. Add the fries, which are about a third of the amount Five Guys gives you, for $2.70 and a $2 fountain drink. Now you have yourself a $12 lunch from Elevation Burger, which would have cost you about $10 at Five Guys and it doesn't taste as good. This is not a review of this specific Elevation Burger location at Fair Oaks mall as much as a review of the business and it's overpriced subpar food.
(2)Jody C.
I ate here for the first time last night -- very good food. There was no line when I arrived, but there was when I left, and I can see where it gets quite crowded on weekends. The "kiddie burger" is a perfect size even for an adult. It's one patty, where the normal Elevation Burger is two patties. Even with the added charge for some condiments (cheese, mustard, bacon) it's a fair price. Burgers are cooked as people order them so it's not always super-fast but still fast enough. The fries are also freshly cooked as people order them. They're a big larger than shoestring potatoes, but not as large as the fries most burger places serve. They're nice and crispy without being greasy, and the portion is large enough for two people to share. This location has one of the fancier drink machines with every combination of soft drink and added flavoring you can imagine. I prefer caffeine-free diet drinks and there were enough choices to satisfy even me.
(4)Camille P.
Love the burgers, fries and shakes. It's awesome you get more than the average chocolate, vanilla or coffee milkshake. The cashier needs some big improvements on the attitude department though. Not very pleasant for a Sunday afternoon with your loved ones.
(4)Katrina B.
Pretty tasty burger. I was a little annoyed that they put the tomato slice on the bottom of the burger which caused my bun to be cold and soggy. Cheddar was decent and veggies were crisp. I loved the fresh, crunchy fries. I wish they offered onion rings and they toasted their buns. I won't go out of my way to get a burger from them but if I was in the area I would try them again. Eating area was overcrowded and cramped so keep that in mind.
(4)Heather C.
It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good or great. Fries were tasty but the portion given was scrawny. Burger was okay, but I ordered the "half the guilt" burger (1 beef patty, one veggie patty) and found the "veggie burger" part of the deal to be dry and relatively tasteless. The toppings on the burger tasted pretty good, but overall, I think I would have preferred Wendy's for the price!
(2)Cody V.
decent for what it is, which is fast junk food. got the fries instead of salad once at a different location and they were way too greasy and i was still hungry after. (this was to-go; i've shared other people's fries when eating in and they didn't seem abnormally greasy. may be something to do with open air vs being wrapped.) acoustics at this location are terrible. best order combo at any location is veggie #2 (vegan) with side salad and water. iirc the vinaigrette is the ostensibly vegan dressing. i top my burger with ketchup/mustard/lettuce/tomato/pickles, and the whole order comes out to under seven dollars and fills a body up - and the burger is pretty flavorful without being too salty when in the mood for that kind of fast food.

This is comparable to Five Guys and In-N-Out (if you've been to the West Coast). The taste of the burger was straightforward and great quality, and the prices were slightly less than the new Smashburger. The "kids" burger (one patty) is a decent enough size for more adults, so no need to go for their normal burger (two patties) unless you usually eat that much. I don't think I'd choose this over Five Guys or vice versa. I'd probably go with which one was closest to me when I got those hamburger hunger pangs. This is definitely better than the Burger King which used to be at the mall.

A great burger! I realize there are so many five-guys fanboys out there who will destroy this place with negative reviews, but don't be fooled. The fact is five-guys burgers are OK, but Elevation is one notch above. The Elevation Burger tastes fresh, the toppings well assembled and in the right proportion, the olive-oil fries are very good. Service was good when I went there for lunch; my food came out in under 10 minutes. Price-wise, sure you end up paying $1 more than other burger joints, but I think it's worthwhile to support a place that cares about our environment and uses high-quality ingredients. Side note: if you're a vegetarian, this place has REAL options for you (more than just raw veggies between a bun). They have 2 types of veggie patties; my wife had the "#1" and said it was delicious.

First time having an Elevation Burger. It was good BUT girl working register didn't know if mushrooms were fresh or not. Was told they were fresh - I might be wrong but they seemed fresh from a can. Got my burger and although it didn't have the mayo I ordered it did have a bonus - bacon I didn't order. Also very cold in here tonight. The guy checking on everyone said they have heat turned up to 90 but it's only 50 in here. He's not sure what's wrong. Hoping a second visit will be nicer and person at register will be more informed.

The burgers here are definitely a step up from other run-of-the-mill fast food chain burgers. Everything is organic and made fresh to order! I went with a kids burger just because I didn't want the two patties that come in the elevation burger. I decided to top it with bacon, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, and ketchup (they have a long list of toppings you can choose from on the menu). They take your order and when the burger is ready, someone brings it out to you. I thought the burger was pretty tasty, but the fries I shared with my brother weren't impressive. They were oily and a little too thin for my liking. But if you're feeling the need for a burger and want to have a little less guilt about it, Elevation Burger is the spot!

As far as burger joints go - this place is quite underwhelming. For the price and the food - I would pick Five Guys over Elevation any day. However, the burger "feels" healthier - or even tastes healthier. I am not sure if thats good or bad for a BURGER! The fries were good but gets cold fast since its thin. I would eat here again if Im at the mall and find myself hungry in that side (altho Chik-Fil-A is right next door!) It is pretty $$ too if you get a full meal - with drink and fries.

Disappointing. Five Guys wanna-bees is the best way to describe this place. Way too similar a concept, however, they totally miss the mark. Having recently had GI surgery, I played it safe and ordered a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. What I got was an inside out hamburger bun, barely grilled, with unmelted cheddar cheese. Blech! Cold! I did try my family's burgers and found the beef to not be very tasty, and ground on the coarse side. This place doesn't compare to Five Guys, or even Burger King for that matter. When one of the "youngster" employees came by to ask how everything was, I honestly told him my sandwich was a sad excuse for a grilled cheese. All he could do was laugh nervously and said the best thing on their menu was a burger. Duh, really, Skippy?! The cashier was impatient and sort of a smart a** with an attitude who got confused when one of my family members was ordering their food, and I spoke to the other who had just secured a table for us. He had to stop me and asked who he was taking the order for. Well, if my head is turned away from you, and another person is actually speaking to you, and facing you while doing that, take THAT person's info, and mine next. First and last time for this place.

I liked it. Only been to an Elevation Burger once and I'd go back. Staff seemed friendly and the food was good. What more could you ask for?

The kids and I really enjoyed our meal here. Burgers were fresh and perfect size. The fries were good too. Place was very clean and staff was friendly. My boys loved the Coca Cola machine with all the different combos of drinks! We were too full for shakes but will definitely eat there again soon.

decided to give this a shot; service was horrible; very slow and the staff seem very incompetent; this was a shock to me seeing how I went when they had just opened. the food itself was just average; wont be going back

Decided to visit Elevation Burger on this fine day. I have never been here and did not know what to expect. I waited 10 minutes in line with 4 people ahead of me. I then waiting 10 minutes for someone to fry up my burger, since apparently they make them on demand and don't assume someone is going to buy a burger. I ordered the kids burger (which still fed me), small fry, small drink. I think ten bucks for this is a bit high... even in Fairfax. The frys are fresh, but were soggy and certainly not better than 5 guys. The burger had nice, crisp veggies, but the burger itself was not seasoned and was bland. The 'special sauce' appears to be mayo based. (I hate mayo). However, the knowledgeable employee taking the order told me it was simply a Ketchup product. Would I eat there again? Probably not. Not worth the price, nor the wait. Was I full when I left? Absolutely, but I feel guilty the same way I feel when I leave 5 guys.
