This place is a Charmer. It needs to be weighed in a different manner than most. The Clean Modern Farm House look and Amazing Interior decor will lead city travelers to believe that they are in a place that are accustomed. However, you are not This is Old Fashion Southern Hospitality. This is Old School. Don't be in a Rush. Enjoy the time. The food will be Worth It. Especially if it is Fried!!! I don't care what it is. The Fried Chicken is Excellent. The Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans will make you cry for the Great Great Grandmother you never knew. The Onion Rings - yes more please! The Apple Pie. Put some stuff in a bag just so you can eat real apple pie. Do yourself a favor. Yes you may need to ask for a refill. Yes you may need to ask for mustard or ketch up. Enjoy the ride! This place is worth taking in the ferry to enjoy a Lost Art! When they tighten up a few of these minor items they will be 5 out 5 stars then you won't be able to get into a place in the middle if nowhere. In fact, I said that the Virginia Diner has Abdicated the Throne on Hwy 460. Perhaps, the Kingdom is relocating to Hwy 10!!!

Stopped in on a rainy day for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by this place! We enjoyed the SHE crab soup, Reuben and jackhammer sandwiches, all of which exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be returning! Service was great, too. Best soup and sandwich for miles!

Highly recommended!!! We stopped in for dinner, not knowing what we were going to eat, and ended up finding true Southern hospitality and food. Everything was homemade and tasted just like my moms cooking.

Good food and good prices. We had the hamburger, BBQ sandwich (in-house prepared slow cooked pulled pork) and children's chicken nuggets. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Chicken nuggets were thick white pieces of chicken and the hamburgers were thick pieces and surely home-made as well. Very good. My pulled pork sandwich was perfect. Nice seasoned pork with little to no fat. Ended with a piece of chocolate cake. Excellent!! Would come back here anytime!
