The service was SO slow. We got a few apps to start. The crab dip was great + the steamed shrimp were huge and cooked just right. Their house salads are huge. The main meals varied. The steamed shrimp were great. The boiled shrimp dinner was slightly overcooked. The green beans were tasteless, even with the bacon. The fried shrimp varied, mine were cooked well. They were butterflied with a light breading. The other fried shrimp, however, was overcooked. The crab cake was god awful. Please do not bother. It was huge, about a 5" hockey puck, loaded with stuffing. I could see the crab, but couldn't taste it. We wanted a coffee + the desert of the day, but no one came to check on us for over 30 minutes. The checks were supposed to be separated, 3 and 3, but weren't as our server had disappeared to work in the kitchen. There aren't many choices in the area and this is more of a bar. If you go, stick with the apps.

Went in to grab some food after working on the house and could not think of anywhere else that would be open. Ordered a beer, burger and fries. The beer was ok, at least it was cold. The food was all obviously frozen without any flavor. God knows where the bun came from. "Service" was minimal. I guess they did not recognize me as a regular so they did not attend to my presence. First and last time in the place.

Waited almost 5 minutes to be seated, the wait staff looked our direction and even walked right past us with never a word. Checked out the buffet while we were waiting to be seated, it was empty. Left without anyone even acknowledging we entered the establishment. Don't waste your time.

After a day on the water, we were hungry. Took a chance on this bar and glad we did! We sat at the bar and were quickly greeted and served. Either the place must have changed hands or gotten new cooks since prior reviews because our food was fresh and yummy. My hubby had the cheesesteak and the barmaid was honest up front that it was going to be prepared with "steak-umm" - not for the cheesesteak snob by any means, but tasty with peppers, onions, mushrooms and provolone on a grilled hoagie roll. He scarfed it down along with his baked potato side. We both had a generous fresh house salad with leaf lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. I felt brave, so I ordered their fried grouper sandwich that also came on a toasted hoagie roll; the fish was VERY fresh and had a light southern-style cornmeal breading. It had been perfectly fried in the right temperature of grease, as it was a crispy, flaky heaven of a sandwich. It was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Sweet and tangy tartar sauce was the perfect addition. I chose the mac-n-cheese side and it was silky velveeta-y goodness. This was not upscale nor was it "foodie" food. Just darn tasty. Smoking is still allowed indoors (duh, tobacco grower heaven) but it does make trying to dine in a bit nauseating. (But even that could not ruin the enjoyment of my fish sandwich!) Two beers and two meals including sides and size able side salads came to $36. Not a bad find for getting some random roadside grub.

The food was decent. I got the hamburger steak but it took an hour to get the food. It was a group of over 20 people and it took 2 hrs from start to finish. I think they just aren't prepared for such a large group.
