Awesome food!! First time eating here and I got a turkey club! Soo good! Also, the tomato soup is a must try! Will be back in the near future!

A nice lunch menu to choose from, The Brown Bean is located in the GingerBread House. Very nice people with great customer service. Hot chocolate was fantastic.

My boyfriend and I literally eat here at least 3-4 times a week when we're in town for extended periods of time and sometimes twice a day. I was born and raised in Danville and can confidently say that The Brown Bean serves the tastiest and highest quality food of all the restaurants in the city. The dishes are always fresh and made with pride. The menu changes daily and seasonally (but you can still order your favorite items if they have the ingredients in stock) so you know you're always in for a special treat! I also love the fun names they come up with for their sandwiches & salads and the staff is awesome.

AVOID!!! Had the WORST experience in customer service here in my life! I had recently moved to Danville and someone told me to go check it out. I called ahead found out the hours through there automated system. Check. Called again when I was on my way to check the hours when they were open. Spoke to someone who told me it closed at 4pm not 5pm like the phone call earlier had stated. I arrived at 3:25pm and was checking out the menu. Someone in line ahead of me had just ordered. I step up to order and the woman working the counter tells me the kitchen has closed. I mean she had just finished taking someone else's order. I said I had called ten minutes ago and was told 4pm not 3:30pm and she said that's when the kitchen closes. It was not even after 3:30pm and they had me stand in line, watch while they took someone else's order then they tell me that? I could not believe that happened. I will NEVER go back to this place and am encouraging my friends and neighbors not to either. Instead, head to Main Street Coffee where the customer service is 1000x better with very tasty food. I have no idea how they get away with such rudeness in such a small town but hopefully they will go out of business so we can have something better in its place. I should have asked to speak to the owner or manager and may follow up on that but I was too stunned about this horrible experience and the thought that they might have witnessed such an awful interaction and done nothing! Avoid at all costs!

This is not starbuck. Coffee drinks are good. Food is good too. This is a restaurant worth coming. I had vanilla chai tea and it was superb. My coissant sandwitch was great too. So, no complaint.
