Pretty decent little wing spot. I ordered the general and gold rush wings. They were boneless and nice size. My fiancé had the red dragon and the atomic bomb. I have to say the red dragon was my favorite I ate most of his. It was like a spicy teriyaki it was very good. We also ordered the steel tots which was a plate of ranch with tater tots on top with melted cheese and bacon bits and scallions. It was pretty good. Never had something like that. They also have pretty good fish tacos for $3 on Thursdays. Their happy hour was nice too! All draft beer you can order a tall and only pay for a small until 7 I believe. They have a nice tap selection too including some local craft beers like O'Connors & Young Veterans. The only complain I have is that I wish the wings had a little more sauce on them. Other than that the service was great. Food was hot and quick to come out. Everything tastes great. We will be coming back here for their awesome happy hours.

It may have been my fault that we got the boneless wings. I thought the person I was with only liked boneless wings so I ended up ordering us a 18 piece boneless wings. Sauces we got on them were Wild West and Red Dragon. We were not impressed by them and it was almost Inedible. When they came out, they were very tiny and I wish I counted them cus it almost seem like we did not even eat 18 wings. I couldn't eat it so my date ate them all, even tho we both did not like them. We also got the mile high nachos, which turned out to be bad. they weren't good at all and seemed to lack a lot of stuff in it and seemed that they overly used sour cream and salsa. Total rip off. Our waitress was very nice and service wasn't the issue at all. I just wasn't happy with the boneless wings and wish I knew instead of assumed that my date likes traditional wings too. I'll give them another try next time since I do plan to try their regular wings. I guess their specialty isn't boneless. so overall: if you only like boneless wings, avoid this place at all cost, And I wasn't happy that our celery was rotten.

After hearing many good things about WWC, I finally had my first WWC experience last night thanks to a coworker that gave me gift certificates to go there. Overall, WWC wasn't too bad, it was pretty much what I expected it to be. The drinks were cold and the service was superb, but I was less than impressed with the food. We started our meal with nachos since they were half off. Unfortunately, they were flavorless and had little to no cheese on them. The portion size was really large, but it didn't matter because we didn't want to continue eating them after the first two bites. For our entrees, I chose a full order of wings and my wife chose a buffalo wrap. My wings had excellent flavor, but the wings themselves were very small and the meat was extremely dry. My wife loved her wrap and the fries that came with it were really good. More than likely will return to watch a sporting event and drink, not necessarily to eat dinner.

This local joint beats out those BWWs and Hooters. The place is big and can handle the crowds. I've come here with my big family and they always have room to accommodate us all. I love how the place is family friendly as well. Booster seats and mini menus for my nieces keep them entertained. There's also plenty of TV's that makes me think it would be a great place to catch a game. I'm pretty sure there's live music that goes on since there's a decent size stage in the back left corner. On a nice day, enjoy the big patio outside to eat at. Food. The wings are more consistent in how its cooked compare to those franchises and they definitely do not skimp out on the size of their wings. I order usually 6-8 wings and I always seem to have leftovers. The loaded potato fries are also my fave since it's definitely loaded with cheese, bacon, scallions, and ranch. You even get the option of fries, chips, or tots. Drinks. There's always drink specials going on and I believe they even have some local brews on tap. Service. Always nice, especially if my little nieces are on a sugar rush. They happily hand them menus and crayons to keep my nieces entertained. Overall, great local place to hang out and support

Not a bad lunch at all. This was my first time back in Wild Wing Cafe in several years. The place hasn't changed a bit from what I can see. We arrived on a the tail end of lunch and were immediately seated. I really wasn't in the mood for wings and ended up ordering a bacon cheeseburger and I'm quite happy that I tried their burger out. The burger was deceptively large. While it didn't take up a lot of space on the plate, it was tall and definitely a steak type burger. It was garnished with ridged French Fries which were also excellent. My usual lunch companion and co-worker William had a grilled buffalo chicken sandwich and said he really enjoyed that as well. In fact the exact words were "It was better than Hooters"... All in all a delicious meal, friendly service and all around pleasant experience. We'll be back soon.
(4)Amanda B.
Great atmosphere, wings were cooker perfect, great wing flavors, friendly staff. Live music good too! Lots of TVs for all your favorite sports.
(5)Michael T.
Great wings a ton of flavors to pick from. They are way better than bww and blows hooters out of the water. Tiffany did an outstanding job she was friendly, very personable and she was there when I needed but didnt hover like some servers. 5 stars for the phenomenal service Tiffany provided, the food is good also. Please bring back the DB schartz bier.

I honestly feel that this many televisions is a bit excessive. I really miss when you went into a restaurant and just enjoyed the company of the people you were with. Or maybe. . . . . The televisions help with easing the nauseating pain of tolerating the company that you are with. (that should be worked into a Futurama meme somehow.) Either way, I've attempted to sit in here, but it's too loud for me to enjoy myself. The wings are great with or without the compliment of their limitless number of sauces. I honestly have not tried anything else in here, simply because nothing else really appeals to me. The wings on several occasions have never failed me as far as under/over cooked, temperature of the wings itself, or flavor. I've ordered here or ahead of time and in the restaurant, either way, you're getting a quality wing.
(4)Errign S.
Came for all you can eat wings last Friday. Very busy, service was extremely slow, but friendly. AYCE was a good deal 10.95 for soup or salad, fries, and all you can eat wings. Get 10 wings to start (2 different flavors) and then you can order 6 more at a time (2 different flavors) after that. I tried the medium hot sauce, chipotle jolt, bubba's bbq, and ragin' cajun. The BBQ and cajun ones were boring, but the regular hot sauce and chipotle ones were good. Bleu cheese dressing is tasty.
(3)Mike E.
They're Buffalo Chicken Wrap is awesome! And the servers are usually pretty good. No complaints here!
(4)Kathy T.
My husband and I "tried" to have dinner at Wild Wing Cafe this evening. Our server was exceptional! She understood that we wanted our wings extra, extra crispy. She said it could be done. But, it would take additional time to do this. Not a problem, we thought. As other people were later seated around us, they received their wings. This was expected, because we were told it would take additional time for "crispy" wings. Nearly 35 minutes later our food arrived. The wings were to say the least, horrible. Not crispy at all. To wait all that extra time for wings to be cooked crispy and instead get wings which were in our opinion - undercooked, is UNSATISFACTORY. BTW - Our server was extremely apologetic, told us she did specify extra crispy on the order, and wanted to put in another order for us. Of course, we were not willing to wait another half-hour. The manager was no where in sight and obviously did not think there was a reason to visit our table. We left and had dinner at Mongolian BBQ (at the end of the same strip mall) where we could have our food hot and perfectly cooked. If you like wings cooked their way, not yours, then this is the place for you. An additional note, this is not the first time we've had this issue here. Wild Wing ... if you can't meet the specific levels of doneness which you supposedly offer, then please don't offer them!
(1)Phillip L.
The scenery is lively. Beer is tasty. Sadly only two local brews on tap.....but doesn't matter. I'm here for the wings. THE WINGS ....Are......GREAT This place is good food with a lively atmosphere. All you really need.
(5)Brittany C.
Service is on point, thanks to our awesome waiter Miller! Food is amazing! This places blow any other wing place out of the water aka BDubs! To sum it up, this will now be my go to place for wings and fries :)
(5)Daniel T.
WWC is great! Food is consistently fantastic and the service is as well. Bartenders are friendly and they have a great selection of beer and wings.
(5)Linda K.
Our big question every afternoon is "what are we having for dinner?" It so happened that my husband hag decided that he wanted wings .... so wings it was. We were seated right away, having the car seat kind of qualifies for instant booth and I never complain over sitting in booth. The place was rather full and the music was playing (a little to loud for my taste but I'm apparently getting old .....) We saw that they had a specials on Tuesdays, and since it happened to be Tuesday we went for that. who can really go wrong with 20 wins right? I ordered the boneless because I have this thing about getting messy while eating, heck I eat burgers with utensils! Ordered the medium classic flavor and Thai flavor. My husband went with traditional wings and got parmesan and some spicy sauce on the other ten. My medium were a little blah, I love wings that are dropping with sauce but these were a little dry and not at all spicy. The Thai ones where better but sweet! I tried one of my husband's wins with the sauce I can't remember and wow, should have gotten those. since it was Tuesday and the special was order ten get ten and we went with that it really didn't break the bank. And I had lunch the day after! Can't complain with that! Next time however I might have to face my fear of may food and just go with the traditional wings.
(4)Al R.
Wings are good and so is the service. Our waiter took the time to talk to us and the food was good. I will be back next I time I visit VA Beach.
(4)Bo B.
This place was like Buffalo Wild Wings meets Applebee's. Atmosphere was a little sad and the service was what you would expect from a strip mall restaurant. Only plus was the beer was cold. Long story short enjoy the beer avoid the food.
(2)Gabby V.
My boyfriend and I went in last Saturday, (10/18) and we ordered our normal 20 piece traditional medium wings, which I recommend to anyone! Miller was our waiter, he's always super cool when we waits on us. When we were there, they had a live band which was pretty awesome. I enjoyed myself and the music. I will always return to this location!
(5)Fred B.
Solid performer for sure. The lunch AYCE is nice now that you can order whatever flavors you like on the menu. The old buffet was just out of style. Wings were cold, and you only had 3 choices (2 of which never changed) to choose from. I am sure I will continue to go back over time to get my wing fix on lunch.
(3)Mike D.
This place is awesome for lunch, $10.95 all you can eat wings. You get soup, salad, fries, and celery. Two wing sauce choices and a side of ranch or blue cheese. Jalepeno cheddar was my favorite but the wings were all really good. Friendly staff and great service.
(5)Jerika W.
Coming from the South, these wings were just ok. The 10pc + fries was $15.00. I asked for 5 Xtra wet hot wings And 5 Xtra Lemon Pepper. I didn't get either. The fries are not seasoned, they're bland. Overall, it was just ok, $7-10 worth, definitely not $15 worth. Maybe I'm biased b/c I'm used to wing places in the south or I'll even settle for wing stop and wings & things.... Wild Wing Cafe did not live up to the hype. If I wasn't hungry, I'd drive back for a refund.

We were in your restaurant this evening and I regret to say that it was not a good experience. We love Wild Wing Cafe, but this may be the last time we visit this location. We ordered the Sampler with 5 different sauce choices. There was a mix-up on the servers end and when we received our food, one of the sauce selections was incorrect. This was interesting to me, as the server had read back our order before she left the table and everything was correct. When the food came and we noticed that one of the flavors was incorrect, we made mention to the sever. Her response, "I thought you had switched for a different flavor." We confirmed with her that we had not switched and her response was then, "I can give you a side of thai size to put on your medium flavored wings at no charge." I was really shocked by this because we made no mistake and it was not what we had ordered. She then resorted to getting our correct wings. Meanwhile, a food runner came to our table while we were waiting and removed the incorrect wings by hand while reaching over the food that we were eating! I HAVE NEVER seen this happen in my life. I thought it was extremely rude. I was not even most upset with the fact that wings were removed by hand from my table. We were most upset with the fact that we were told that our order was placed correctly and that no easy attempt was made at correcting our order, without us asking twice! The manager of the floor stared at our table several times noticing that I was looking at him and not once did he come to the table to ask if we were okay; nor did our server ever come back to make sure that everything had been handled. Again, I am disappointed in the service that we received and I hope that your staff can be further educated on better customer service. Trust me, we are not the kind of people to try to get 5 free wings.
(2)Bill K.
Fresh, not frozen, wings. I LOVE the "Boss" style, marinated, no breading, chargrilled that have a mild blackened chicken taste. Many different flavors to chose from, hot, mild, bbq and specialty flavors. Burgers are great too.
(5)Jon A.
Well I decided to write this while I was waiting for my beer after 20 minutes. Which was after waiting for an hour when the said it would be a fifteen minute wait for a table. I haven't even ordered my food yet. Which I'm really praying that they have a breakfasts menu cause at this rate I won't get my food until I have to get ready for work. Our waiter, Matt, left the drink tray at the table. Like dude I think you need that? Hopefully the food makes up for there awful service.
(2)Andrew M.
I came here for lunch to get the "all you can eat" wings. There are a ton of flavors to choose from and if you like spicy then you'll be in wing heaven. I think it was only like 11 or 12$ for it so you'll def get a deal if you come hungry (like I did). I heard it can get pretty packed during the dinner hours so make a reservation if you have the opportunity to.
(5)Daniel D.
My buddy hit me up after work to roam the streets of Chesapeake and then make it for the wing special on Tuesday night. Never tried it, his recommendation and great recommendation. The wings I ordered were pretty solid. I got 10 Braveheart nuggets (boneless wings), and 10 Flaming Parmesan wings. Now, the Braveheart ones were "not spicy" but please NOTE, don't ever ask me if something is spicy or not. I love spicy food, and I only know that it's spicy if my body has some reaction. Hence the "not spicy," these wings made my nose run pretty nicely and that made me a happy man! The flaming Parmesan were tasty as well, and I was happy that it had more than just a hint of the Parmesan flavor. Service was good, and the waiter was attentive. No complaints in that department. I give this place a 4 because I have yet to try anything else but wings. Will try to hit this joint again to try more things.
(4)Toni T.
Decent restaurant with decent fare and drinks...though the name may be a misnomer. This place definitely has a sports bar feel (given the plethora of TVs and all) and not that of a cafe. The adult beverages were decent, given the happy hour specials. I like the variety of wing sauces, but I've had bigger/better wings. The order of tater tots I had with my wings were good. It's a cool place to visit for happy hour and an order of wings if in the area, and maybe catch a game while at it, though I wouldn't travel out of the way to do so.
(3)Rachel B.
Excellent bartenders, good food and live music! What else can I say?! Amazing bar! The staff is really nice, the bands that play there are super cool and the food is delicious! I'm not a wing fan, but I can tell the Turkey Burger is beyond delicious!
(5)Jennifer G.
Good service. Good food. If you love hot wings, you will love this place. Casual atmosphere with plenty of tv's to watch whatever game is on. Will be going back.
(5)A F.
We come here every weekend. We come here because of the wings. They are the best hands down in the 757. You can tell they are fresh and cooked to order and probably the ONLY reason we will keep coming back. However, we sat at the bar and had a less than pleasurable experience. We have been coming here for the past 3 months. Once every weekend, either Friday or Saturday. The wings are so good we can't help ourselves. Tonight we order the same exact thing we order EVERY week for the past three months. A full size order (16) wings with two delicious flavors and a side of fries. We get our order tonight, wings look amazing....but the fries looked like they were already half eaten or at least the bottom of the bag and the chef decided to serve us what he thought was more than acceptable to a happy paying customer. We thought no big deal...let's just show our bartender Tyler what's up and he'll take care of this. I mean we come here every weekend so he must know this isn't normal. Well.....we sure did that after about 15 minutes of trying to wave him down from talking to his bartending buddy as well as him taking breaks to sip out of his coca cola cup in the beer cooler under the bar with a blue colored substance. Finally when we got his attention he scolded us. Told us we were wrong and that the past 3 months we had been coming here that we were being over severed in the portion size of food we were getting. Ok well maybe I'm being way over sensitive...it's just fries. But I spend at least $60 every weekend in this place and tell all my friends and family to come here so I feel a few extra fries can't hurt anything. And a grumpy a-hole of a bartender could ruin everything at this place. And btw..Eric the bartender was much much better as his job. Thanks Eric for checking on us when you co worker was too busy texting and drinking.
(1)Xerxes N.
For a chain restaurant this place isn't too shabby. I came in with a buddy a few Sundays ago and took a seat at the bar. Our bartender was cool and changed the TV channels at our request to catch some golf. I picked out one of those make your own burger which I thought was good but was a little aggravated at what you paid for all the toppings which were very little. $1 for a piece of bacon. 50 cents for a few mushrooms. 50 cents for a piece of cheese. I suppose seeing one price would have been better without seeing all the add on prices and then hardly seeing anything on your plate. I did ask for some honey dijon sauce on the side for my french fries and saw that there was an extra charge for that. Ugh. My overall rating would be 2.5... :/
(3)Robert C.
The best wings ever! I started going to this place 17 years ago in Charleston...so glad they have one here in Chesapeake! You have to get the rachallada and jalapeño cheddar...they are the best!
(5)Very P.
This place has some really great food. The wings are great, the appetizers are great and they have this chocolate dessert that it ridiculous! This is my go to wing place. I drive right past a few other places to get to WWC, and I'm never disappointed.
(5)Pat T.
Place is always a good spot, I definitely prefer to go here rather than the BWW franchises. I independently owned wing restaurants. This place has friendly staff. They sometimes have bands play, which I don't care too much about, but it gives them credit for support local talent. Food is always great, beer is never flat. I like their different sauces on menu. Gold Rush is always good to try. Will be coming here every now and then if friends decide to go.
(5)Lynne P.
I'm not a wing fan so I'll just limit my review to how great our server was (Matt) and how good my fried chicken sandwich was. The onion rings also had a deliciously light batter. The same one used on the fried 'shrooms. The manager stopped by and thanked us for coming in which I found refreshingly cool. Matt also suggested hubby get the short Blue Moon because it was on special. He coulda just sold us on the tall and we wouldn't have known. All in all we'll most likely go back because the atmosphere was welcoming and laid back. Oh, the hot shots are HOT! I'm not into spicy food and that one left my mouth on fire for minutes. Minutes I tell you! Hubby LOVED them though. lol.
(4)Scott L.
Awesome wings!
(4)Phillip F.
Great wings. Habaneros are still lingering on my tongue, but my taste buds are gone. Tiffany provided great service. Good selection of wing flavors.
(5)Shirley R.
The ONLY place I to for wings. So many sauces to choose from, but my favorites are Ginger, Wild West, and all the bbqs! Go on Tuesdays! Price is definitely worth it!
(5)Jacob V.
One of my favorite places to eat, hell I chose to re-enlist here! The wings are meaty and delicious. They're not the best I've had, but I will say their the best I've had in the area thus far. The service is usually decent, lunch is a great deal and If you're up for eating 20 wings the buy 10 get 10 is good too. Wing flavors are real good, I prefer Red Dragon, the General, and on occasion Fireball. The menu is expansive, wings, burgers, BBQ, sandwiches, entrees, what more can you ask for? Drink selection is good with some local beer choices and tasty mixed drinks that are averagely priced. If you time it right you can catch a good drink special, and as long as someone sober is driving you home you'll have a good time. Hopefully you show up at the right time and they're not packed. Live bands and sports rivalries draw a big crowd and you may experience a considerable wait. The owner/manager has introduced himself a couple times and ensured that we were happy with the food and service, of course we are! Enjoy!
(5)Mike A.
Finally got the opportunity to come here for a late Sunday lunch with a huge group. The service was phenomenal and their attitudes excellent for dealing with such an ambush of hungry churchgoers. Check out Lyle Lovett's "Church" and you'll see what kind of temperament we had. Ironically, I opted for the Drews Devilishly Delicious Fried Chicken Sandwich at the advice of a frequent patron friend. It seriously is "the best fried chicken sandwich ever! great, big, and a little spicy. served on a toasted bun with our secret sauce, lettuce, tomato & pickles" as the menu states. For $7.29, I couldn't come up with a single argument to refute that claim. Plenty of room and looks like a fun place to come for some live music.
(4)Corky H.
Awesome wings, onions rings and those little fried peppercini's. .. yum! Great service love all the television. Fun place to eat...
(5)Didi W.
My first time in here. Their salad with honey lime cilantro was really good. Tried some boneless chicken wings, the tastes is good but the batter was dry n kinda little hard to chew... maybe try the traditional next time. Service was good n fast. Overall was good experience
(4)Adrian E.
This is my current favorite wings spot. They have daily specials and sometimes even live events/performances. Their "2 Fer Tuesday" deal is usually what brings me back. Their menu also has a wide variety of wing flavors and a decent happy hour where pints and talls are the same price. Their wings are noticeably larger than the ones you find at Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings. The sides are also tasty as well. There is also a wing sampler platter where you can choose up to 25 wings with 5 different flavors. Been here several times and have never had any reason to complain. It's also one of my favorite locations to watch the NBA Playoffs.
(5)Stuart D.
This is a decent enough competitor to the other popular wing chain out there, but it doesn't quite hit the mark for me. I wen in for carry out and I can see the appeal of the establishment itself. It does make you want to sit down and hang out for a bit. With the array of sauces I went for a large combo getting a myriad of lower-spiced flavors such as Thai, The General, Chipotle Jolt, Italian, Jalapeño Cheddar. The only ones that I could really discern were the Thai due to it's peanut tendency and the Chipotle Jolt as it did have just a hint of smokiness. The others just reflect a high amount of salt and some hint that it was a different flavor than the others, but nothing special. It's this lake of differentiation that drops my score for this place. I would certainly go back to hang out with friends because it's decent enough for that, but I wouldn't got out of my way to seek it out.
(3)Steph W.
Wells. This place is decent. I came here to watch the Gamecocks (who dominated, by the way). They're very accomodating to whatever game you want to watch. The service is not the best- maybe because we were a group of 10. The server wasn't as attentative as I would have liked for her to be. Now on to the wings- they're not Dirty Buffalo, but I like crispy wings and that's what these were. They're good- a pretty good amount of sauce. I got the medium and the general wings. The medium wasn't as hot as I expected. I tried the hot wings too and they weren't very hot. If you like hot wings, I'd go a step up at this place. If you like medium, you should order the hot. The general wings were their take on general tso chicken. Interesting. It was spicy and sweet but sticky as all hell. What a mess! Decent place- not the best. I think I'll stick to Dirty Buffalo.
(3)Matthew G.
Absolutely love wild wing cafe. Had it in Hilton Head many hears ago and miss it being that I live in NY. Problem solved. I have family that love in Virginia Beach!! I will go there now every time I go down. So many sauces. My favorite is the Colorado copper sauce.
(4)Mike H.
Sought refuge in here after a slow start at TGIF..... Just trying to kill some time while out on the road for business.... From the owner to the staff, the locals and odd-ball regulars.... This is the place to be if you are local or just in town for a short visit!!!
(5)Desiray H.
The food is fantastic! I love the wings. So many different choices for wings! The sauces are great. My favorites are the Wild West, chipotle barbecue, red white & bleu, and the Parmesan is gooodd! Honestly if you're looking for a chill place to have some wings and watch a game this is the place for you! Also the service is ok. Just depends in who you get, my servers last time was horrible but the food was great
(4)Bar F.
I usually enjoy Wild Wing Cafe, except for today. Ray's staff is usually on point and the food is great. I try to eat here when out toward Battlefield Blvd. Today was evidently an off day. Walked in with my wife for a beer or two and dinner and was greeted by a bunch of loud obnoxious drunks at the bar. The place is usually loud but the woot woots being screamed across the bar by the old fat guy with the goatee was enough. One beer for each of us and it was time to go. Oh yeah forgot to mention the amateur wrestling match between a guy and little kid (who had no shoes on). It looked like an episode from Honey Boo-Boo was being shot at the bar. The bartenders didn't do a very good job of settling them down because they kept feeding them shot after shot, woot woot! Anyone with any sense could see these folks had WAY to much. Gave 2 stars because the place is usually pretty good. Hopefully the Red Necks haven't overrun a good place. Get some control or the real paying customers won't come back.
(2)Ashlea L.
I don't think I have ever had a bad thing to say about this place! The food is amazing, staff & owner are very friendly, and they have great drink specials. I've sampled quite a few things off the menu over the years and it never disappoints. Sooo many delicious wing flavors to choose from & their wings are the best around!!
(5)Gabriel D.
Came here to watch the bears game the other night. Staff was great. Bar tenders are attentive and friendly. The food pretty much sucks all around and is over priced. If your going to come here. Come here to drink and watch the game and maybe just get bar food like nachos or something. Everything I ordered is not how it seems in the menu and was just lacking. Tvs are great and good amount of seating.
(2)Stephanie W.
I've been to Wild Wing Cafe several times and I've always been a fan of the multitude of wing flavors/sauces they offer. Plus, Tuesday nights are buy 10 wings get 10 wings free. That's not a bad deal. I really like their Honey Mustard (nice and tangy, yet sweet and savory) wings and their Red, Hot, and Bleu (underlying kick from the bleu cheese flavor) wings. I haven't tried anything else on the menu, other than fries (and I don't think you can mess up fries). I really like all the TVs too which are good for sports on several stations. They also do live local music too. Not too shabby for a local wing/beer/bar joint.
(4)Kevin O.
Nice atmosphere. Lots of big televisions with assortment of games. The 5 beers for $5 flite thing was a little confusing since they were out of some of the beers. Went with the always reliable O'Connor brew. Cheese/beer soup was fantastic as first course.
(4)David T.
I have eaten here many times and it just keeps getting better. The service is always quick and great and the food is always fresh and hot. The price is great for the quality and amount of food you get. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time, great food, great service, and cold beer. I will be back many many times for more of the greatness here.
(5)Buddy S.
Food was great, a little slow, but not bad. Did the Build a Burger. Was the best burger I'd eaten in years. Wife had the "Wild Chef" salad. Ham, chicken & shrimp with homemade blue cheese dressing. If you like sweet tea, order it half & half. Ask for Caitlyn. She's on the ball and "easy on the eyes".
(5)Sean W.
Love this place the Bravehearts are the hottest wings I've had that still have AWESOME flavor. The staff is typically very friendly and Manager makes regular visits/rounds. Very family friendly even in the middle of football playoff season. My favorite place.

This is a true sports bar. The food is good, and the beer is cold. We've been here twice now, and would return. The wings, wraps, and sandwiches are all good. The bill for a family of four is between 37-45, assuming all eat decently and you have a beer. It's a fun place. Plenty of TV's. The ony drawback to this place and other sports bars is the language. It comes with the territory. Suck it up and move on.

As an out-of-towner, I was surprised that my friends that live in the VA beach area suggested we go to Chesapeake to eat at a wing joint. The name sounds similar to Buffalo Wild Wings, which is popular in NOVA, but i was happy to feel right at home eating here. There was a very small-town type of feel to the place. The wing flavors seemed endless. I split the 25 wing platter with my boyfriend. We got garlic, barbeque, lemon pepper, mild, and thai flavored wings. Everything was delicious except the mild was a bit dry, and the thai was a little too saucey (tasted like straight hoisin sauce to me, lol). Other than that, the servers were friendly and the place was clean. All in all, Wild Wing Cafe is reasonable for the price. I'd come back if I were in town again.

"YES! YES! YES!" and "It's True... It's DAMN True!" This is as good as it gets in Hampton Roads when it comes to the Chicken Wang Thang! 35 different flavors of wings and a whole host of delicious appetizers and alternatives to boot with great drink specials throughout the week. I've been here over a dozen times throughout my years as a Virginia Beach local and I can honestly say that even though I live near the Oceanfront area it's always worth the 20-25 minute drive for some great finger lickin wings. This place offers the best wing sampler platter in Hampton Roads with 25 wings of 5 different flavors. Back in my college wing destruction days I was able to handle this by myself. Now I tend to split this with a friend yet it's always satisfying. My favorite flavors are the Flaming Parmesan, Jalapeño Cheddar, Thai, Ranchilada, Garlic Garlic Garlic, and The Slayer. I always get celery and usually their blue cheese dipping sauce which is unique in that it's not as thick as dressing but just enough to coat the wings and also has some blue cheese crumbles in it. Alongside the wings their appetizers are also a great accompaniment and a good starter. The Steel City Spuds are their version of a loaded baked potato in french fry or homemade potato chip form. Bacon, Cheddar, Ranch dressing, and Green Onions accompany perfectly cooked potato wedges sure to get you going towards the "Itis" fast. They also have Hot Shots which are a spicy offering of sausage and cheese fritters with a sweet honey mustard dipping sauce which provides a nice flavor of sweet and heat but by no means is meant to cool you down. For that you'll need to enjoy a pint or tallboy (22 oz.) of any of their beers on tap or if you'd like a bottle they have those too. This place is the go to in my opinion if you're anywhere in the Hampton Roads area if you want well cooked chicken wings with flavorful sauces that aren't heavily breaded. I'm happy that I never have to request the server have them "Fried Hard" for extra crispiness or "Naked" instead of "Breaded" because this place just does it right! "Ain't no thing but a chicken wing..." :)

My wife and I were regulars here back in the day... the day when we lived around the corner. We went in last night to check out a friends band play and I can say that I miss the place. The bartenders are good and the prices are fair. They have a lot of beer and on tap including Guinness, Killian's & Newcastle. I have tried many wings in this place and they have some very tasty choices and a few I feel fell short. I recommend you order a large order of wings and try a few of the sauces on that one order. That is what my wife and I would do. Bottom line, at night on the weekend this place is a great late night hang out. We have met some really good people hanging out in here and have had many good times. We go with the beer more than food but like I said, they do have many tasty flavors to choose from.

Fantastic place for wings! They have tons of different flavors. The Loco Bueno is my favorite with yummy cilantro...mmmmm. They have a spacious restaurant inside and cute little patio outside where they sometimes have live music. Last Thursday I went to hear my friend Jacob Vanko play with my meetup group and we all had a great time and enjoyed our food. I recommend them to anyone looking for great wings.

We used to frequent B-dubs, which is much closer to our house, but ever since giving Wild Wing Cafe a shot it is now the ONLY place we go for wings. They have a multitude of flavors to choose from and a large beer selection. They even have cider on tap. They also have a good kids menu. If you're going for wings, the best time to go is Tuesday night, buy 10 get 10 free after 5pm. It's a really great deal! My favorite flavors so far are Loco Bueno (which I tried on Vanessa G.'s suggestion), Jalapeno Cheddar, Ranchilada, and Flaming Parmesan.

A few of us went to lunch here on Friday and it was a decent choice. They have an all you can eat wing buffet if you are in the mood. They also have a bunch of other options. "The Good" - The wings are ok, not the best. I did not have any this trip but the group I was with was interested in quantity and not quality. - I had the shrimp skewers (medium) and some salad. They were pretty good although a little small, no pun intended. - They had the giant screen covering the stage where they sometimes have bands playing with the game on which was cool. - The service was great and we had full drinks and did not need anything that was not provided. "The Meh" - Nothing meh this trip. "The Bad" - Again, nothing really bad to comment on, it was a decent lunch.

Being from Chicago I dont get to see Bears football much here in Hampton Roads, so i have been searching for a place to catch the games and have some drinks. This is the place for that, but the food is nothing to write home about. Overcooked and nothing like the menu, a bit pricey as well. But with Two huge tvs and tons of small ones its the perfect place for sports. The bartenders were very friendly, even changing the channel to the game I was wanting to watch so we could sit at the bar. I would come back to watch sports but not the food.

I have been a wild wing cafe fan since I was stationed in Charleston in 1995. This location has actually improved. I had excellent service this visit and the food was tasty. I shared the wing combo with my bride.

I've never had better wings than those from Wild Wing Cafe. First fell in love with their Charlottesville location when I was in college. Now I hit up the Chesapeake location whenever I'm back in hampton roads. If it's your first time, you have to get a wild wing sampler. 25 wings, 5 flavors. I'd suggest getting the boss (crispy spicy), Italian (overall wonderful), the honey mustard (amazing sauce!), ranchilada and gold rush. I think those five wings really run the gamut of all the different flavors you can get here. Or go ahead and order some Bravehearts and ruin your meal. Don't worry, they have milk.

This place bills itself as a great place to watch sports, but I disagree. They need an organized tv system for game days like other sports bars have. The wings taste like they marinated them in motor oil, and then couldn't bother to cook them all the way. We arrived and were told we could see a specific football game from where they seated us, but we really couldn't without straining our necks. I won't go back. Not Impressed

The Braveheart is back. And so am I.

Nice selections of beers on draft, major plus because some are IPA. Nice selections of wing flavors. Kid friendly and with a good selection that consist of grilled chicken, ham or turkey slammers, fried shrimp, nuggets, corn dogs, pizza, and cheeseburger and a selection of sides to choose from. Water cups are huge which is a plus when eating wings.

Regular on Tuesday nights for the Two Fer. You buy 8 wings or boneless wings and get 8 free. Must purchase a drink for the promo though. Not a bad deal and they have happy hr till 7. They have a whole page of different sauces and some that they have won contest with. Place does fill quick and the bar area gets pretty busy. So plan on a little wait after 5pm. Check the dry erase board behind the hostess for drink specials.

Came here back in Oct 2012 and had horrible service but came back about a month ago and the service was amazing as well as the food. My best friend had her 2 year old with her and I had my 5 month old. They were extremely loud but the waitress didn't seem bothered at all. Great place.

My favorite spot in Chesapeake! The staff is outstanding. They have the best bartenders in town. The wings are outstanding as is just about everything else on the menu. I moved away from VA last year but I make it back to Chesapeake every couple of months and you can bet I will be sitting at the bar with my friends every time I'm in town!

If I am looking to blow out my diet, I head here. I am addicted to their Thai flavor. I always get my wings extra crispy and they are always cooked superb. In combination with a decent beer list, this place gets my vote.

Awesome food, awesome staff! The place has the feel of a neighborhood joint and the wait staff are always smiling and making you feel really at home. The food's top notch. We go almost weekly and they've got something for all of us...even our picky eater. I especially love going there during football season - they've got all the live games on the many TVs and you can cheer and go nuts with your fellow diners. It's awesome.

I recommend grabbing their $25 wing platter. Everything else I have had from their menu was below average. On one occasion I showed them where the wings were undercooked and they offered me $10 off my next visit. I guess they valued my patronage at only $10.

Against my better judgement, I gonna review Wild Wing Cafe. Want to reiterate some of the things Emily P. said. Yes, 'it's in a strip mall and it's a chain restaurant'; all negatives in my book and that's why I'm reviewing this joint against my better judgement. My judgement never stopped me before, so here goes. I'm a regular at the WWC because I love wings and I love beer. The combination is better than burger and fries in my book. I used to go to Buffalo Wild Wings, but WWC puts them to shame. The wings here are top shelf good and so much better than Buffalo Wild Wings, in my opinion. I must admit that I'm a dork; I have my menu of wings in my smartphone and tend to rotate my favorites in the 25 wing platter. For those who are taking notes here's my lineup - Red Dragon, Red Hot Blue, Lemon Pepper, Honey Mustard, Island Wing, Thai, Ginger, The Boss, The General, Rajun Cajun, Medium, and Santa Fe. I would say my favorite five are The General, Red Dragon, Lemon Pepper, Island Wing, and Santa Fe...these days! A word of advice. Avoid the really hot stuff. If you have to ask why, we should all revoke you foodies card. After you eat something so super spicy, what else can you taste??? Absolutely nothing. So, why buy 'volcano wings' (they don't really have these, but you get the point, don't you?) with a Lemon Pepper? The hottest things on my list are the Red Dragon and occasionally The Boss (for some reason, it's not always hot). I start with Buff (Buffalo Chips), don't forget the Blue Cheese, and the Onion Rings...money! All the starters look so good and caloric though; occasional having something artery clogging is OK, right? Yep, it's in a strip mall and is a chain restaurant, but I must admit that it's good and with the right mix of friends, it's a fun place to eat, drink, and be merry.

Everything about WWC is spot on. Best wings in tidewater. Cheap cheap drinks. Great friendly staff. Go!

Really good wings.

I like Wild Wing Cafe better than Buffalo Wild Wings. In comparison, I think BWW cooks all of their wings the same and just adds a different sauce to all of them. While I believe WWC cooks their wings differently according to their type/flavor. I'd definitely try it if you're looking for another wing place.

I've been here a couple times for different occasions but what was the driving force behind this review were the SLIDERS. Oh My Goodness....these were hands down the best sliders I've ever had. I am not a red meat eater but every now and then I crave a big, greasy burger. I know sliders have a bad rep for being dry and overcooked because it's such a small portion of meat, but Wild Wings has figured it out friends. These sliders were JUICY & FLAVORFUL. They are topped with "house sauce", caramelized onions, lettuce, cheese, and pickles (the final selling point for me) My only complaint about these baby burgers is that they seriously skimped me on the sauce. Nothing a little good ol' fashioned ketchup couldn't fix :) My boyfriend had the Southwestern Turkey Wrap. I didn't try any of it but it looked very good. I'd have to say it was also a hit because my bf DEVOURED it. To be fair, it was a late lunch date and we were starving but all in all I have no complaints about this place. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is non-stressful (not loud, smokey, etc) and everything is very reasonable priced. I will definitely be back!

I was sad when they stopped carrying veggie burgers, but they created a new menu item just for me (a vegan), called the Spicy Vegan. Gotta love any restaurant willing to do that!

Yes, it's in a strip mall. Yes, it's a chain restuarant. Yes, they play corn hole, and have karaoke night. BUT...they have the best wings and chili cheese nachos around. My fav wings? The BOSS. No sauce, no goop, just deep fried crunchy goodness with some heat. There are daily drink and food specials, and come evening time on the weekends, you can listen to some great local bands. This is a great hangout place to eat some wings and drink some beer, but on the live band nights, music tends to be a little loud if you have sensitive ears or little ones, so be prepared.
(4)Laine A.
The food was okay (although everyone who ordered wings said they were not hot, as in not served quickly but left in kitchen before being brought out). Apparently the bartender of the evening didn't know how to make any drinks other than BEER. Two cocktails were sent back from the table for re-do's and were returned only marginally better. I would not have cared about any of this if the waitress had not come off as such an arrogant you know what. I mean it is a wing joint, gimme a break prima donna. They had a band playing that night, the Deloreans, who were pretty good. They were fun to watch along with all the drunk girls who were dancing by themselves. Bottom line, keep your expectations low, and drinks simple.
